Samsung Washer Model OBX WA45T3400AV Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

Freezer and drive just up and DIED last night. LED for both reads OF - tried everything. So a $2500 refrigerator is built to last 2 years?! Not including the ongoing ice maker problems mentioned by others and myself. Very disappointed in this Samsung.

I am on my 3rd Samsung appliance that has gone out or died. They are all 3 1/2 years old. First the refrigerator, then the washer and now the microwave. We bought all our appliances when remodeling. The last episode with the washer just about finished us off. The repair person said it would cost too much to fix so we should think about buying a new one, which we did. Now the microwave? I am over Samsung. Done.

French door refrigerator model RF263BEAESR/AA. This POS is 3 1/2 yrs old. Ref makes a racket after there is ice buildup and fan hits ice. Only way to stop noise is removing all shelves, removing inside panel in rear and chopping away at ice. This has to be done at least once a month. Getting ready to check it out the door. Do not buy SAMSUNG. First time service man said nothing can be done to permanently correct it. Its been going on now for over a year. Now we do it ourselves. Apparently there is a lawsuit regarding this problem.

I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2007, in Geant Store Khuraise. My kids phoned me that it is not getting cold. I said to them, they must switch it off as it might burn them. It never made some ice. It was installed by Nirvana Ageng Samsung Polopkoane. I told them the same agent came and open my fridge, and he said it is the compressor. I must wait so that they can check if it is still under warranty. They never came back.We kept on calling him, but no answer. I went to Bokstreet Samsung branch. They said it is not under warranty. If it never makes some ice, they will fix it, but I will pay all costs+transportation. Now it is about 3 years. I reported it to South Africa, and Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. I need my money back or a new fridge. I will give you up to the end of this month. I will go to LG. I paid a lot of money for that fridge. I have already sent my complaint to consumer lawyers.

I have had an SE error code for 3 years and also lighting and fan would come on at random while we were sitting on the couch and got so bad we had to unplug it before we left the house. I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said it was under a recall and replaced the touch pad which didnt fix it and left with a new keypad installed and doing the same EXACT thing! They came out again to replace the touch pad and he said it was not the touch pad on mine causing the SE error and other problems, it was the circuit main board that they unscrew and reuse on the new keypad. The repairman wanted over $200 to order and come back out and replace to fix the SE error code and lighting and fan issue. I declined the repair because I wasnt sinking another $200 in a $400 Microwave and immediately called Samsung and informed them that the keypad was NOT the part going bad from stove top grease on ALL microwaves, that it is also the circuit board. And the Supervisor said that Samsung would not cover that part because only the keypad is covered. Look folks, I worked at a name brand new car dealership as a technician and I will tell you.... ANY part that is causing the problem with the recall is covered so that the check engine light, etc is resolved and the customer goes away happy. Samsung told me when I told them they were about to lose a customer over this that they are sorry to lose me but they wont fix the recall unless its the EXACT part that lets say 10,000 microwaves have over 100 microwaves have being this electronic main board! I am very very upset over this and do not understand why they will install a part in someones microwave that wont fix the recall. Now the microwave stays on when you open the door so I guess a lawsuit is going to be coming from someone over this.

I feel in love with Samsung products but I am now done. My dishwasher started filling with water after only 3 months. While under warranty had it fixed. It started having the same problems. I purchased a Samsung dishwasher a little over a year ago from Best Buy. Within the year, the dishwasher began having issues. It would stop running and had flashing lights displayed. After terrible customer service and multiple delays, Samsung set me up with a warranty service provider who fixed the issue. Within two months, the same issue is happening. In contacting Samsung, they are advising that since its past the 1 year warranty, there is nothing they can do. Even though its the same issue they already had fixed. Additionally, they offer terrible customer service. I spoke with three different departments (most out of the country) for over an hour in total, only to get no resolution. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - BEWARE.

Worst product we ever purchased. Still under warranty, 3 years old, ice maker went out during the holidays, one month later freezer went out. Called Samsung they asked for all our paperwork and purchase receipt. I sent it all and the response was that it was not clear enough to read. They suggested I call repair. Did not tell me it had to be a repair service that was contracted with them. Closest one is 1 1/2 hours away. I called local and while he was at our house he called Samsung Tech service and was told it was our compressor and that it was still under warranty. Serviceman did not fix as his company is not contracted with them so they would not get paid. Said he would fix it if I paid the $650.00 up front and worked with Samsung to be reimbursed. I called Samsung they told me they would not reimburse because it was not their contracted serviceman. They contacted their serviceman and he canceled on me saying his guy had the flu, but he sent in a report stating it was not the compressor. How he knew that without coming and looking at it Ill never understand. Samsung refused to pay or help in any way. The only good thing was I called Lowes and told them I was returning it talked with manager of store. He was amazing. Told me to go online and pick out a new fridge and they would replace it. Which they did. With a brand new FRIGIDAIRE! We will never buy Samsung appliance again!!

I have a Samsung refrigerator SN#JKJ44BBFB069***, model # RF263BEAESR/AA. It was purchased in Jan, 2015. Under the extended warranty that I purchased from Best Buy the unit has had three service calls: to replace the evaporator cover and new style drain tubes, and the evaporator cover again (fan making noise), as well as the ice-maker and ice auger. The 5 year extended warranty expired in January 2020. Not long after the warranty expired it developed an over and under-cooling issue. I contacted Samsung for out of warranty service, but they had no service technicians in my area. I contacted Best Buy and they referred me to Samsung. I had two different local appliance repair services attempt the repair. The first company, after the service call was unsuccessful, returned all my money rather than continue to attempt repair. The second company was partially successful; they replaced the refrigerator compartment thermistor three times, the mainboard was replaced twice, the unit still over-cools (under-cooling seems to be fixed). They had no ideas as how to proceed from there. Being as it was working: with the temperature set at 44F, and a measured refrigerator temperature of 34-36F, we continued to use it without attempting further repair. Recently it has returned to its severe overcooling ways: temperature is set at 44F, with a measured refrigerator temperature of 28-30F. I contacted Samsung for a service call, Samsung is still (16 months later) unable to schedule a repair tech as there is no one to service the Asheville, NC area. Best Buy again referred me to Samsung. I have called other local appliance service centers, and they all decline to work on the unit, one suggested that I throw it away and buy any other brand?! By the way this company was recommended by Samsung.

Purchased a whole house full of new Samsung top of the line appliances Dec 2017. I’ll keep this review for the refrigerator only. The Smart Hub apps do. It work half the time and you have to keep signing in to them. The ring door bell as well doesn’t work because it will log you. My main people is with the ice maker. It broke the first month and for the next 4 months after I had it either repaired or the ice maker replaced numerous times. They finally just replaced the refrigerator. The new replacement the ice maker froze up and quit working 12 months later. The ice dispenser is junk because the crushed ice is so slow and will drop large chunk a out as well. This was a major mistake to go with Samsung.

Unit bought new in 2008 - in 2011 water in refrigerator unit - approx. $300 to replace evaporator cover and thaw out. Apparently drain has problem with freezing over, told by repair company that it would not happen again. May 2015 - same problem, this time 450.00 to repair. Wrote to Samsung and they denied any responsibility. Apparently this is a common problem and the fix is not adequate - would not recommend Samsung refrigerators to anyone. Feel Samsung should at least find a suitable fix for this so that consumers only have to fix once.

He ordered the necessary parts, which have arrived from CA. However, the repair will not be completed for several weeks--scheduling.......

I bought new Samsung appliances one and a half years ago. They are now out of their one year warranty. My refrigerator started making a loud noise about three weeks ago. I could not get a repair until three weeks later. $239.00 dollar repair because the unit froze up. Samsung would not do anything about it. I expect to service my car after it is that old but not my refrigerator. And there is no guarantee that it wont do it again. Also our new Samsung washer already has a broken piece on it. Poor design. I bought a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago. It worked for 4 months and stopped cooling. Then six repair calls, five repairmen, and several replacements of parts later, including the compressor, I was told that it was not repairable. Unable to reach Samsung, I contacted the California’s state attorney general’s office and they contacted Samsung within a week (complaints are not new to them). Someone from the office of the president called and was annoyed that I did not contact them first. I noted that they do not want to be contacted; otherwise, the number would be posted online. Instead, there is a bogus number with their corporate address. I was told that I would receive a full refund. They later indicated that full refund was only the price of the refrigerator, not the total purchase price (which included $158.00 in taxes). Ive refused to accept less than the full purchase price. I have no refrigeration for 5 months now and they do not care. Something should be done. Dont buy Samsung - you will regret it at some point.

I purchased this microwave from Home Depot in Squamish BC, and have not stopped regretting it after numerous and non-stop issues. The power level button has never worked, the magnetron broke, the machine ran continuously without shutting off, it displayed multiple error codes. The sensor pad, key pad and magnetron (everything but the fan and light) were all replaced within the 1st year, costing much more than replacing it and the same issues are still happening now just outside of warranty. I was told I could purchase a extended warranty any time within the 1st year and was not able to after many attempts. After much complaining and pressure, Home Depot did advocate for me to get a new replacement unit but was not successful. This horrible experience could have been far less stressful if not for the inflexible and unreasonable policy of Samsung. The many agents I spoke with were polite and understanding but completely unable to provide reasonable customer service due to the strict, wasteful and outrageous Samsung repair rules policies and guidelines. I am awaiting to hear back from them after another phone call but based on the last year of my experience with this appliance, am not holding my breath. I hope this review saves someone else from this very frustrating experience. There are hundreds of videos on youtube and complaints highlighting the same issues we have had with our machine. These appliances seem to be consistent lemons.

Adding one more complaint to the 600 plus list of dissatisfied individuals
Adding one more complaint to the 600 plus list of dissatisfied individuals reports seems pointless but I want to share my experience and my frustration to hopefully shake things up, tell the manufacturers that allowing these products to remain on the market, knowing that they are failing and then telling people who have spent anywhere from $500 to over $1000 that they are now stuck with a useless appliance because the 1-year warranty is up is unacceptable. If this doesnt eventually end up as a class action lawsuit which is my next step, heres hoping I can at least deter someone who is considering buying one of these piles of junk to look elsewhere. I am a first time homeowner and was very excited about all the updated appliances that were coming with my kitchen. During the home inspection, immediately a foul odor couldnt be missed when opening the dishwasher (DW80F600) but after letting it run a full cycle it subsided and we chalked it up to probably being caused by sitting water and the machine not having been run for awhile. BIG MISTAKE. First cycle I did with dishes, the tablet was half-dissolved, dishes were soaking wet, murky and dirtier than they were when they went in with an assaultive sour odor to follow when it actually stopped running about 4 hours later. After some troubleshooting with bleach, liquid dishwasher detergent, rinse aid and running hot water before starting the machine with no changes it was time to contact the home warranty company that came with the house. They happily sent out a technician costing me a $100 deductible. He diagnosed that the circuit board was the problem and that it was causing it to stay in rinse mode. Then when I told him about the odor his response was that most of the newer dishwashers have that smell. This did not sit well with me but figured, maybe with the new circuit board the smell and other issues would go away. Part arrived, he came and installed it. Problem NOT solved with no improvements. Called again, asked for a different company to be sent out (and by the way good luck trying to find technicians who work on Samsung products, definitely a huge red flag). This visit, he said that the problem is the entire pump and needs to be replaced. So this is where I am at now and pretty confident that this dishwasher is going to be an ongoing problem, needing repairs constantly with mediocre improvements until my warranty is up leaving me stuck with paying for all technical support and parts out of pocket. And just a quick side note: I did call Samsung about the odor and the condition that the dishes were coming out in. The response I got from the representative was nothing less than infuriating but went like this: she was quick to tell me that the warranty was up and that unfortunately there was nothing they could do. Regarding the odor, she simply said that this was the first shes heard of this problem. And to wrap it all up she proceeded to tell me the proper way to load a dishwasher, that it is helpful to pre-clean the dishes before loading and to leave the door cracked to assist with the drying. Thank you Samsung. This whole ordeal has struck a very bad chord with me and anyone interested or knowledgeable about making moves towards class action please contact me.

I bought this French door Samsung refrigerator cause the one that came with the house I bought had died. After looking at both Home Depot, H. H. Gregg, Lowe’s and Best Buy - I settled on this model RF268ABWP at Lowe’s in white. A little background - I went to culinary institute of America at Greystone and have been a professional chef for over 30 years - I know my way around a kitchen and appliances. This Samsung is the worst - there’s just not hardly any storage room in freezer and it continually ices up to the point the drawer/door is open and water/ ice melts on to the kitchen floor. The door at several places has started to rust, underneath the coolselect crisper drawer in the main body of fridge also continually ices up and the drawer starts to be pushed out. Have to thaw ice jam and remove ice sheet and then dry out fridge bottom and freezer drawer bottom. Complete pain in the **. Called Lowe’s customer service and nothing, also called Samsung and nothing no help. After reading and digging around on internet found that it’s a design flaw and company knew about it but refuses to fix. If I could fit on my boat it would be at the bottom of some lake. Complete junk and a waste of over 1400 bucks - my advice to anyone buying a new or used fridge - stay away from Samsung.

We purchased our Samsung mini split air conditioner not even 3 years ago. The first summer it was in they had to replace the communication wire so the inside unit would work. The second summer it had a leaky valve so they had to recharge it and we havent even started our third summer and the fan motor inside the head needed to be replaced. They ordered the new motor and installed it, now both circuit boards are fried. Samsung is not willing to stand behind the product and said it isnt their product, was made by someone else, even though their name is on it and passed the buck onto a third party. Said we need to schedule an onsite visit for the unit to be looked at. Samsung informed us this would take 2-3 weeks to be arranged. Considering all the issues we have had since day 1, this is not very acceptable customer service. I would not recommend this or any other Samsung items to people based on this interaction with them!

Bought this French door Samsung fridge model rf263 brand new 3 years ago. At first it was awesome, love the roomy space and design of it. But within first year it started making a really loud grinding sound. And eventually one day fridge part totally quit cooling. Ruining lots of food. Luckily we unplugged it and I researched online and found out due to defective design this fridge tends to fill up with ice in back where air flows between compartments and when it’s making its grumbling noise its ice rubbing on the fan. Only cure is to let the fridge completely defrost for 48 hours. There is no way to get to the coils to clean this fridge out either. So I defrosted it for 1 day at first, moving all food to ice chest and deep freeze is a pain in the rear. That wasn’t long enough had to do it again for 48 hours. Then it worked fine until next time it started making the noise again. Now it is freezing up every 3 months or so and today it is doing it yet again. It is NOT a reliable fridge, because when the fridge starts not cooling it doesnt notify you until it reaches about 60 degrees. Yesterday I cooked 50 dollars’ worth of barbecue meat and this morning it turns out the fridge was not cooling. The temp display was flashing 38 degrees but when I put thermometer in there the actual temp was 65. Do not buy this fridge, all the good reviews for this fridge are from new owners. The problems show up with it well after 6 months of use.

My stove was just 2 yr old washer and dryer 2 and my fridge 4. They say its not under warranty but it cant be fix. It has defects.

This dishwasher has been extremely disappointing. We bought all Better Samsung appliances when we bought our home and the Waterwall stopped cycling a few months after we bought it. It took about a month to get someone there to fix it (under warranty). 18 months later its not under warranty and it has failed again. I think we paid around $1,100.00 new so the cost of ownership has been over $350.00 a year. We read horror stories but thought that it was more likely that people upset with their purchase were more likely to leave reviews and that they were probably skewed. They werent. Ill start reading reviews to make our replacement purchase. Lesson learned.

My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerator
My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

We have had this Samsung refrigerator for 3 years now and the ice maker has given us problems from the get-go. It freezes over and stops making ice and we need to break the ice down constantly. It drips water into the fridge and then freezes under the deli drawer and drips down the left side to the floor outside of the unit. A bin has already cracked and I have it packed taped and the inside pull drawer in the freezer has come apart as well. Not a good purchase at all.

Purchased Samsung Oven (flex), Washer, Dryer, and Dishwasher. 11/24/2017. Washer completely died last March - unable to fix, wiring harness issue. This week Oven has taken on a life of its own - no matter what you push (including warming drawer) the broiler comes on. You’ll get a C21 overheat warning and door locks. Customer Service gave me the number of a phone repair company to call for repairs. I can promise you I will never purchase anything in future with Samsung on it - absolutely no quality.

Add me to the 2,180 list of dissatisfied customers who own a French door Samsung refrigerator with twin cooling. We have the same problem with ice building up in the refrigerator section causing water and ice to form under the crisper trays. The compressor was replaced after 1 year but the problem keeps occurring. I question the Executive team from Samsung how they could still be selling a product for the last 5 or more years that has the same issue. If you read through the reviews and see the years it has been the same problem. Their response was, We will send a technical out to fix it and you will pay the bill. The problem should be fixed and there should be a recall. Why would anyone invest more money in a piece of JUNK? Next step is a report to the Better Business and to make dealers aware that they are selling faulty products.

My wife and I bought a Samsung RT5000K Top Freezer Twin Cooling Plus™, 350 L refrigerator for Courts Jamaica Limited. The first month the front plastic on the tray under the freezer compartment split down the middle while it was being wiped off. It was as if it had dry rotted. In the first three months the door started to bubble and this is the one that has the stainless steel look. They replaced the skin after a lot of complaining and then the door would hardly close by itself when they were done and they left all the plastic on.Now the rubbers are starting to crack on the door and we have not had the thing a year yet. The door is making a creaking sound once in a while when you open it and the refrigerator from day one has been making weird sounds. It also runs very hot and for an inverter type, the electric bill has not gone down at all. Have been trying to find the year of manufacture and cant seem to get any answers. I believe it was in storage a long time before being sold. Very disappointed and would never buy one again. Will continue to take to social media to get some answers. I had the issues with my fridge in Jamaica and I was able to get support sending an email to **.

We finally got an energy efficient washer. We weren’t used to no agitator
We finally got an energy efficient washer. We weren’t used to no agitator but googled the difference. The newer washers push water through the clothes vs the old way of pushing the clothes through the water. It fills with only a fraction of water estimated by the weight of the articles. That scared us at first as it didn’t seem to add enough water to possibly wash clothes and get them clean. After more researching and doing loads of laundry. This Samsung has gotten the clothes much cleaner. I don’t like how it takes longer to wash clothes with these machines but it is what it is. The machine is very quiet vs our old ones. We no longer have to shut our laundry room door. We forget it’s even going until it plays a song when done.

Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice
Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but its getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (dont know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

Model smh9187w - It was purchased on 5/28/2010. Two months later the plastic spindle for the turntable broke. Samsung misunderstood my request and sent 2 different parts. One of them was the correct one and I replaced it. After 13 months, the display showed code SE. I unplugged it for 5 minutes as recommended by Samsung. Nothing! I looked for the part, which cost $76, but did not purchase. I re-assembled the microwave and it worked again, obviously taking it apart and putting it back together to reset the unit. I have now removed the control box about 10 times. One night, it again went into code SE which makes the unit beep incessantly. My wife had to get up to fiddle with the panel and eventually unplug the unit to make it stop beeping. She was mad. The following night she made me unplug the microwave before going to bed to insure that she was not going to be woken up. Eighteen months later, the motor gearing that turns the turntables spindle got loose. I glued it back on. Today it showed a different code: child lock on, child lock off. I looked in the manual for the unlock code. Press and hold the start button for 3 seconds. Dumb! This is the most used button and the first one to fail. I removed the control panel again and attempted to remove the membrane switches. They are glued into the panel and are not replaceable or available from the parts department. I have to purchase the whole faceplate for the above mentioned cost of $76. Of course, I have no assurances that the defective part has been redesigned, so I am not going to spend additional money purchasing a new defective panel. What else is going to break in this horrible microwave? The variety of the failures confirmed my suspicions of horrible design and built, probably rushed to the market to make more money. The saddest part of all this is that I replaced my 18-year old microwave simply because the front plastic case parts had broken or become to worn out to look clean. I should have kept it and never purchased this Samsung. I will never buy any Samsung products ever again. I wish I could get my money back to purchase a decent microwave.

Model #: RF261BEAEBC/AA (French Door, Freezer on Bottom, NO ice or water dispensers in the door). I have had to call Samsung services and repair four (4) times for my Samsung Refrigerator in the first thirteen (13) months of operation. Every call has been about the ice maker. I escalated this recurring issue to the executive review board (or whatever they call it) stating that I must have a defective refrigerator (or least a defective ice maker). I said they need to address this issue by replacing the whole refrigerator or issue a recall of some parts or something because this is just not acceptable. The response I got back from Samsung is that this is not cause for any special consideration and that normal repair and service should continue. Their response is what really bothers me. I mean I fully understand that if you make thousands of appliances (or cars or whatever), there will be a couple that will be defective. I have no problem with that - just own up to it and resolve the issue for good. I also understand that no matter how much you test sometimes things can be missed. I have had cars recalled for certain issues, you take your car to the dealer, they resolve the issue (no cost to you) and all is good. I mean it is very weird for them to think that four (4) service requests in first thirteen (13) months of operation is not cause for alarm or at least a closer inspection.I actually talked to the last repairman that came out to fix the problem. He said that he sees a lot of repairs on certain models of Samsung Refrigerators that was/is related to frozen water line for the ice makers. So much so that Samsung did a recall and replaced the heating element (or whatever) to keep ice from forming in water line to the ice maker. He said it was a different model than mine and hence no recall for my specific model number.I suspect that this is the issue for me as well, as water is not making it to the ice tray. I could be wrong though and freely admit something else could be the issue. With this type of customer service, it will make me seriously consider any Samsung products in the future. I am not upset so much with an appliance that has issues. Hey, I dont like it and wish otherwise, but the stick-my-head-in-the-sand-and-hope-this-goes-away attitude from Samsung is really bothersome.

Our 2 year old Samsung refrigerator went out a week ago. After spending several hours on chat with Samsung and 1-1/2 hours on hold I was given a service company in our Des Moines market of 500K people (they have only one). I called them and was told it would be 2 weeks before they can get there. So I called around Des Mioines to get someone to fix the unit and no one would service a Samsung. I called Lowes where I bought the unit and they were able to have someone out in two days. The evaporator had gone bad so it is under the 5 year warranty but we are now waiting 10 more days to get someone out to install it. In April, we purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from City Furniture. This was a very special treat, as we had used free and 50.00 dishwasher all our married lives. We got a top of the line one, thinking this way, we would not have any repairs for year. How wrong we were. Within a week of having it, the dishwasher flashed a code, and quit. After calling Samsung for three weeks, City Furniture kindly replaced the unit. It ran fine..for a month. Then it quit. Multiple phone calls to Samsung, a month later... its fixed. Ran fine for 2 months. Since then, we have made many, many phone calls to Samsung. They have: Twice sent our repair request to the wrong servicemen. Escalated our call three times... No response... Who does not service this area. When they did finally get hold of the right serviceman he was beyond rude. But I guess if you are the only Samsung serviceman in the ares (he is), you can afford to piss off customers, because what else are they going to do? Then Samsung sent the wrong error code to the repairman. After a month, the part came in. Oh but wrong part, because he had the wrong code. Gave him right code. Still waiting. Months later. We have a $1000 dollar Samsung 8 month old dishwasher that has now been NOT working more often that it has worked. Another call to Samsung yesterday. Their response was well, we have to wait for the technician to file a report before we can do anything. You mean the technician who STILL HASNT COME??? Time for BBB. Do yourselves a favour. Dont buy Samsung.

I got an SE or 5E error message on my Samsung SMH9187ST the other day and I didnt know what to do. I tried the unplug/replug but I am not very handed with repairs and did not want to try anything else. Of course I purchased the microwave in Dec 2010 and didnt get the extended warranty but did not think I would have to. I tried the live chat and was able to get the representative who had heard about this issue multiple times and stated:The control panel will be replaced free of charge as part of the warranty. In the event that the control box requires replacement, the issue cant be recreated during the service visit or the issue is determined to be anything other than the SE error code, it will be an out-of-warranty repair and you will be responsible for any costs. Do you consent to these terms?I replied, I purchased this in 2010 so I am sure it is out the warranty time frame. I have been looking this issue up on the internet and there are many complaints about this issue and Samsung has been willing to make this repairs even if it is out the warranty. Yes, that is correct, the issue will be repaired as per the above consent. Well we will see what happens and hopefully Samsung will step up and make the necessary repairs.

Bought this fridge in Feb 2015, I think it was just under a year and noticed a noise in the fridge like a grinding rattling, at the same time the ice machine stopped giving ice. A month later I started noticing the door fridge temp looked normal but the inside was much warmer and we kept blaming our grocery store for the spoiled milk we were going through. I then noticed the rear wall had ice building up through the holes, I decided to unplug it to defrost overnight and load everything into coolers. The noise went away and when I finally got the icebox to pull out I found the interior to be iced right solid. I chipped away the ice and again left it to defrost completely. This lasted for about 3 months and it all started again. I started doing research and to my shock realized these fridges were lemons and the company didnt stand behind their product and in fact in the U.S. there was a Class Action Suit. Last week I finally called Samsung Electronics Canada and told them of the issues and of the Service Bulletin ASC20170602002 for the icebox. They told me I was out of warranty and would cover only the parts, I flat out refused and insisted labor be included. I do feel confident even if this repair was covered by them that the repair would only come back as these fridges look nice on the outside but are of poor design. I have made a complaint to BBB as well as I will be pursuing all other avenues to make these issues public, I cant believe this company hasnt been exposed yet with how they treat their customers.

Bought 4 appliance package from Costco. All are good except for the range. Could not be worse. When it heats on high (say to boil pot of water), to turn down you have to go all the way to low and then come back up to where you want. Had repairmen out for the second time today. They agreed it’s weird and contacted designers who said THATS THE WAY THEY DESIGNED IT. Are you KIDDING??? They obviously don’t cook and don’t test these things themselves. I’ve had at least 25 stoves in my lifetime. Four of them glass top. And with NONE of them did I either have knobs that didn’t immediately respond when turned up or down (mine take up to 39 seconds to respond!!!), or did I have to nearly turn off and restart over to choose a new heat setting. The best thing you can do is stay away from any Samsung Refrigerator. I did my research and Samsung was one of the top brands - big mistake. They have several problems that seem to be across all their refrigerator models. Ice makers leak or freeze up, motherboards go bad, valves malfunction, the list goes on. It wasnt until I started having all these problems - after 5 years - and I googled them to find out these problems are very common. I now have a 5 yr. old refrigerator that I paid $2500.00 for and is in need of over $1,200.00 of repairs. Samsung will not help. They say get the repairs done - and you have to use their service department - and then they will see if they can help. No, not going to do it. We purchased our fridge Jan 2014 and at first happy with it. Year and a half later the noise started. I could see through the small holes on the inside back, it was frozen over. Ice was coming through the small holes. The noise was awful. Then it quit cooling and the top ice maker quit. Repairman said it had frozen up and the fan that blows the cold air out into the fridge had gone out. The ice maker had quit because it also was frozen over. He took the ice maker drawer out and it was a solid sheet of ice. He thawed it out and it began working again. Not sure for how long. He told me this was a bad problem and it wasnt worth replacing if it didnt start back working after being thawed. Fortunately it did begin making ice again. I guess in the future I will just thaw the ice maker out when it quits again. He ordered another fan, and as a note it was on back order and it took them from Oct to Jan for the part to come in. Now a month later the noise has started again. So I will be calling a repairman again. Not sure what he will say this time. I would not recommend anyone buying a Samsung refrigerator. My brother had bought this same fridge around the same time I did, and it has done the same thing with them. Terrible noise and replacing the fan. His ice maker has gone out 3 times and they have replaced it each time. Why would they continue making this piece of junk? I cant believe I paid 2000 for such this crap. Last Samsung product in my home ever. Do not buy Samsung. I called and had to call back because they are celebrating Christmas in the call center with yelling and partying so loud I can’t hear, and they can’t hear me. Unprofessional and inept.

Samsung has created a line of refrigerators that are defective and wont create a permanent fix for them. When I called to speak with a service tech they sub out to technicians local to consumers who dont work for Samsung but contract with them to repair their defective appliances. So, they couldnt offer me any guidance or reassurance the problem would be fixed. They told me not to go anywhere for two days because they would put in my service request. Apparently, their service company dropped the ball, never called so when I called on the second day, they said they had called me? They said to come out was 90.00, the repair was 100.00 and the parts were separate but they couldnt tell me what that would cost. I asked if this patch (repair) would permanently fix the problem, and they said they put a 90-day warranty on it and that is the best they can offer and they wouldnt allow me to speak to a service technician to have my questions answered.

I purchased a Samsung 2 door fridge with lower freezer drawer and upper ice
I purchased a Samsung 2 door fridge with lower freezer drawer and upper ice and water dispenser. It was delivered and installed in May 2016. Right away the ice cubes where either very small and dry or regular size and wet. The cubes regularly melted and froze into a block of ice, where we had trouble removing the ice tray. Once opened we found that the whole ice compartment was frozen including the ice making machine. We had to regularly turn it off and defrost it. Sometimes the ice would melt and drip from the ice/water dispenser. In the summer 2016 we noticed that our food was spoiling. Soon after the fridge was making a loud noise. After some investigation we found out that the fan area of the fridge was filling with ice which froze the fan in a block of ice, which caused the fridge to warm without any indication on the fridge thermostat. Every few months we have to take everything out, thaw out the fridge for 2 days and then restart the fridge. Weve had two repairs done by a certified appliance repair company. The first time we were told that the problem was a well known flaw in manufacturing. Samsung has recommended a kit to fix the problem, but the repair company said that it doesnt work. We paid them to put the kit in, which was some tin foil and cardboard to redirect the air flow and replacement tubs to help with the backflow of water (which both cause the water to back up and freeze into the fan area). One month later the fan was frozen again and our food was spoiling again. We paid for the repair company to return. They checked everything and told us that there was no way to make the fridge run the way it should. They told us that its a well known manufacturing flaw that samsung will not fix and will not recall. We paid over $2000 for this fridge and Samsung has told us that they will not refund or replace it even though it hasnt worked right from the start.

I recently bought a Samsung refrigerator not because I needed a refrigerator, but because my wife wanted a Samsung refrigerator. Immediately after getting the refrigerator it started making an irritating noise. A serviceman was sent out, after calling Samsung twice. The service man said the refrigerator needed replaced. Fast forward to two months later. Samsung never calls you back. Four times after many calls each time Samsung approved an exchange. Four times someone called - the only calls Samsung made, to inform us the exchange was being cancelled. Really? It seems their plan is to wear you down. Now I am in the process of filing a complaint to the BBC and the state of California. Save yourself a ton of grief. Buy an LG.

Do Not Buy Samsung. I’ve had my Samsung Refrigerator for 3 years. Yesterday we had the ice maker replaced for the 5th Time. I did contact Samsung’s customer service. Sai ** from this department responded with this nugget: “I’ve checked in our resources and see that there are no reported issues with the refrigerator model #RF23J9011SR/AA. It is quite regrettable that this doesnt reflect in your experience.” I’d suggest googling “Samsung Refrigerators”, then you be the judge. I don’t believe you will buy one after doing so.

After 4 years of owning a French door Samsung refrigerator (RF267AARS/XAA), the coils started freezing up. I called out a Samsung repair service and they discovered that the evaporator coils had melted my liner and it is not repairable. It was so badly burned inside that I am surprised it did not catch fire. When I contacted Samsung’s customer service about this hazard, I was put on hold for 30 minutes and then told that they could only refund me a partial credit for the refrigerator. When I asked if there have been similar problems with other refrigerators, they could not tell me. This refrigerator has not been recalled. I do not recommend purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. It is scary to think that my family might have been hurt due to their system. And they will not even replace it! Arent refrigerators supposed to last more than 4 years?

I bought my Samsung French Door fridge November of 2013. The ice maker has frozen up several times and has cost $700-$1000 to thaw. Its because the door flap gets turned in and you cannot tell the doors didnt shut. Samsung could replace the flap on the door with one that would latch like the newer models. Samsung needs to get out of the appliance business. Read the reviews. Their appliance products are terrible.

In reading recent posts, I realized that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction and anger over my relatively new Samsung refrigerator. First, upon purchase, it took over three months for delivery, despite the fact that I was told it was in stock at the time. After a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Then it started to warm up and then it sounded as if it was ready to explode. Repair service after repair service was called. Its been three months and Samsung is not delivering, not making part to repair. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made. Buyer beware, proceed with caution!

My DMR78AHS Samsung Dishwasher was purchased Feb 2011. It needed its first repair in March 2012 (one month after the warranty was up) to the tune of $158 due to the tabs breaking on the upper rack and getting down in the motor. Last Friday (Feb 2014) the exact same thing happened but this time the repairman said it was going to cost me $375 plus tax for new gaskets and pump plus labor. I said no way and he still charged me $109.15 for the service call, etc. I spoke with Samsung this morning and they put me through to SEVEN different people. The last one said I will hear the answer from upper management in 24 to 48 hours. I am disabled and on disability from work (60-years-old) and cannot afford all of this happening to me! I still was saving for the fridge and stove - forget that now!! This model should have been recalled! The net is FULL of people all having the same problem with the 5E error flash due to the tabs breaking off. I am so upset!!!!! :( Is there a class action suit for this problem in Canada?

But now the SE error came on, I contact Samsung CS and they said they can set up a technician to call me in 2 days but is not free. I told him that so many people has these problem and it should be free of charges. He said he cant do anything about it. I am very upset with them because I own 4 more appliances from Samsung (cross my fingers that they wont die because its been 16 months old). I cant believe such a big company cant promise a reliable product. The last GE microwave that I had for 4 yrs was still good that I threw away because I change all to Samsung. When I purchased my Samsung refrigerator, at the time was the number 1 rated refrigerator of its type. From early on, I had started having troubles with the lower ice maker plastic parts breaking off. The service tech said that this was a common problem. Later we started having issues with the upper unit not cooling. Again I had a service tech come out only to tell me that the Twin Cool Plus system is another common problem. I was told to empty my refrigerator and turn it off for 24-48 hours to allow the unit to defrost. Or I could use a blow dryer and try to speed up the process. Is this what it has come to?? I called on several occasions to discuss what they would do to solve the Twin Cool Plus problem, and all they wanted to do is to send another service tech at my expense to look at the refrigerator. Nothing ever gets resolved, nor do they seem to care.

Paid a repair service for call and was quoted 480.00 for repair. 30 days after 1-year warranty. Oven element went out after 20 months and was told by Samsung it was covered. They sent a repair guy out and the part was not on warranty. I paid the service call and called to order the element and was told if the bottom did not work in my dual oven then it was the controller panel. I have been so disappointed in Samsung appliances. The only good thing I will say about this piece of junk is that it is a nice looking microwave. I bought it in April 2016 and have had numerous problems. In November 2017 while using the convection oven the door glass shattered out of nowhere. Before that happened it had shut off completely on three occasions and would turn back on in the morning when it cooled down. I have a Geek Squad warranty so they fixed the door in November and since then the cavity TCO has failed twice and burnt the wires along with it. Before I bought this piece of junk I had a GE Advantium that lasted 15 years without a problem before it died. I guess you get what you pay for with the $400 piece of Samsung garbage. Do yourself a favor if you are reading this and do not buy a Samsung.

My sister and I both bought this refrigerator for our new construction home in December 2015. Luckily hers hasnt done this. But 16 months later mine started making this loud noise coming from the upper back part of fridge. Its so loud. I Googled and found numerous people are having same problem. Ive tried the blow dryer. Didnt work. Tried defrosting only to return 1 week later. I sure dont want to start taking apart, nor should I have to. This fridge is heavy. Our washers were both recalled, in which only partial cost reimbursed. Now I am frustrated because feel no one should have issues with any product, especially after only 16 months. What am I suppose to do now. I thought Samsung would be a super brand. Now I hate it. What is being done about this company selling crap products. Ill go American from now on.

My Samsung refrigerator is a a few years old and has had the same problems. I had problems with the leak/icing up under the drink pull out tray also. Now, the power went off in our neighborhood and when it came back on, the control panel only shows 86 88 and it doesnt respond to touch. The door has started to rust below the ice dispenser due to moisture from the small catch tray. This is not my first Samsung appliance either. I threw away a washer & dryer set I bought that had multiple problems after one year. I too will not purchase any appliances from Samsung. The TVs seem to be working fine. I have two Samsung flat panels. I replaced all of my appliances with Maytag and eliminated all my problems.

Buyer beware. Samsung will not reimburse you for out of pocket expenses for repair of their refrigerator. I purchased a French door Samsung fridge in June 2017. I tried to remove the ice bucket. It was frozen, I called customer service, the fridge was only 3 months old. Samsung sent their appliance tech over to install a new ice bucket. The tech said to unplug the fridge so the ice would melt and he could replace the defective ice bucket. I said, Then the meat & dairy products would spoil. I was told to put it all in the bottom freezer, with dry ice on top. I said, Who will pay for the dry ice. Samsung will reimburse me for the cost of the dry ice. Well that never happened. After numerous phone calls I decided to contact BBB in New Jersey to file a complaint. A rep from Samsung did call after BBB sent them my complaint. Well I got a different story from the Samsung rep. Samsung does not reimburse customers for their out of pocket expenses, even if their fridge is only 3 months old. This is a Billion Dollar Corp. I told the rep and Samsung wont refund me $51.00. We liked the middle drawer and the fact that you can open a little door to get drinks out without opening a regular door. Will NEVER buy Samsung ANYTHING again. The right side door started on day 1 making a horrid noise when shutting. This took three service calls so far. Seems to be okay after third fix! Then ice maker froze solid, couldn’t even pull out the tray/bucket. So to fix it, we had to unplug the fridge for several days before they came to repair it. Because of a problem with a different fridge that we put our stuff in for those three days, we lost all food from the fridge. So they came and put in a new ice maker with updates from Samsung. Uh, well, now 3 months later, we have an ice maker completely frozen solid again. Unbelievable! And now out of warranty. We had moved from a GE Profile kitchen in which nothing had a problem for 15 years, and mistakenly chose Samsung! I have the Samsung RF267AEBP purchased from Sears ($2,100+) 01/02/2011. Shortly after the basic 1-year warranty ran out, the unit began routinely freezing up due to the known failure of the defrost cycle and/or heating coils and sensors malfunctioning. When the ice builds up over time, it locks up the fan motor from the glacier of ice (sounds horrible like a screech owl). Like others on this post and all over the Internet, I have to force the RF267AEBP into a manual defrost; when the ice melts, it fills the space under the Deli/Crisper drawer with water. The first time this happened, we did not realize that the ice could not drain normally due to a defective drain (Note: The defrost water drain has been reported to be too short to drain properly after the refrigerator goes through a defrost cycle). So, after turning the unit back on, the backed up water that pools under the Deli/Crisper drawer freezes into a solid two feet by one inch sheet of ice! Not knowing what was going on, we could not get the Deli/Crisper opened without pulling very hard on it and that brought the entire sheet of ice out and onto the kitchen floor, creating one big dangerous mess! Now, the ice maker is making loud clicking and banging sounds, and the ice maker has malfunctioned too with inconsistent delivery of odd sized ice cubes (more like chunks of ice) and it, too, now freezes up. We have regularly replaced the filter (@ $30+ each) that does basically nothing but filter water for the ice maker and the water dispenser. This has been the most frustrating and expensive major appliance ownership experience I have ever had with a major appliance in over 40+ years of home ownership.Samsung, you should provide us customers that have suffered through the purchase and repair of this known defective refrigerator full refunds for these known manufacturer defective refrigerators and/or provide a totally brand new replacement of equal value regardless of the customer’s choice. This is an expensive major appliance and we should not be having these problems that are clearly a quality control problem of widespread proportions. If I am not contacted by your warranty and customer relations department with a satisfactory resolution, I will be forced to sign on to the class action suit and add my model to the long and growing list of models already posted on the website. I will also have my day in small claims court for not just the cost of the defective refrigerator, but also for the spoiled food cost of replacement, labor and repair cost, and my lost work/wages due to having to take off work to deal with the overall malfunctioning of your Samsung RF267AEBP.By the way, my paperwork from Samsung that came with my refrigerator clearly states, Your Satisfaction is Samsungs # 1 Priority - Do not return to store. Well, Samsung, here is your opportunity to step up and simply do the right thing, especially since you are on record claiming that my satisfaction is Samsungs #1 priority.

I purchased this Samsung refrigerator in July of 2017. From the get-go, I had problems with the unit. First, one of the shelves was uneven. Then I had a couple of service calls to address the loud bang noise the ice machine makes. The repair for this reduced the problem but it still does it occasionally. The most frustrating and persistent problem has been this frequent yet intermittent buzzing sound, like the sound a fluorescent light bulb makes just as it is going bad. I have had the service company out several times to address the issue. The last technician told me it was a normal noise. This is the fifth refrigerator Ive owned as an adult and I have NEVER had this problem. Samsung keeps sending out the same repair company but without any fixes. I am at my wits end.

My wife and I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator at Lowes here in our town. 2 days after it was delivered there was a puddle of water inside the freezer (caught before it froze) we called them and Lowes sent a tech out to fix it. Three days after that, we had the same problem, so Lowes replaced the whole refrigerator. 2 months later, the ice maker quit making ice, called they sent a repairman out which took two weeks, and got it fixed. Then about 4 months later, it would not dispense ice, again another call and another repair. 3 months later when I would get ice it would not stop and it would keep spitting out ice, need I say it again? Another repair!!!!! Now we are into a year and a half with this piece of ** and now it overfills the water in the ice maker which then freezes and breaks the ice holder, so at this point Lowes said, Sorry, its out of warranty, you need to call Samsung!!! So I call Samsung, they were very helpful gave me a 1 time out of warranty service repair! So again it takes a few weeks but they replace the entire ice maker. Flash forward 6 months to today, 3/6/14, and guess what? Yup you guessed it, its not making ice at all, so I call Samsung and basically am told its out of warranty and after exhausting all resources there is nothing they can do!!!! Oh I almost forgot, after one of the repairs the service tech left me a spare part, and told me, if the ice maker would not stop dispensing ice, here is a spare part to fix it, and of course it did, so I also replaced it once myself!!! This Samsung Refrigerator is the biggest junk I have ever owned I will never ever buy a Samsung product again!!!

Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

When I tried to register the product at the Samsung site, it kept kicking me out to correct non-existent errors, giving me the suspicion they didnt want to accept my information or to honor the warranty. I got them on the phone and they cheerfully set-up an appt. with the only Samsung service available in a 75 mile radius, and I live just outside Chicago! Not sure what had happened to my brand new dishwasher, I decided to call the service outlet 12 miles from my home to inquire about the possibility of it being due to bad electric service. They informed me that the visit alone would be $138! I since realized it was Samsungs fault because I have 4 other electronic appliances that have been around for 5 years, trouble-free.But I also decided to Google trouble with this dishwasher and immediately found a website called: Consumer Complaints & Reviews. Apparently, I wasnt the only one who discovered too late, that the most important part of selling me a Samsung dishwasher is getting me to purchase it... Of the top 125 complaints, there are about 20-30 Best Buy customers. The typical breakdown concerns the Chinese electronic control panel which is what my problem is, according to the trouble code. The dishwasher will recover after about 4-8 hours, begins a new wash cycle and then a few minutes later, stops and blinks the LEDs.Ive had it for 6 months and used it 10 times. I have the original box of Powerball tablets recommended by Samsung. I live alone and usually wash a lot by hand instead of wasting energy, soap, etc. Im presently at home with a back injury and no dishwasher! I can only stand for about 2 to 4 minutes and Im still paying for the broken Samsung. So far, the cost is $50.00 per wash load!I called Best Buy for help. I wanted to trade this for a new dishwasher of a different brand and they offered to take the unit away for me, while there, delivering my new purchase! I got angry and said, I couldnt find out it was defective before your time limit. I dont have that many dishes. They asked me if Id bought the extended service plan and I got more angry. I said: Once you get it out the door, it’s next customer? What happened to standing by your product? Youre in this business, obviously, you know this is junk, why is it on your floor to sell to me?According to these bad reviews at Consumer Complaints & Reviews, Samsung had denied, blamed and dragged their feet at the customers expense for months at a time in many cases. So my worst fears about trying to clean my dishes with my injury are coming true! WHY Samsung? WHY Best Buy? I hope you have the decency to allow this review to be posted here, for the sake of your remaining customers, because Ive taken myself off your mailing list and cutting up your so-called: Elite membership! Just in case you censor this review, Ill be posting it all over the internet, everywhere I can, until my undeserved punishment is repealed by you or Samsung.

I purchased Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RFG297AARS for $2000 on 3/2011. However, I didnt buy the extended protection plan (should have) because I had protection plan with local electric company. I started to have problems in Jun 2013. Water in the bottom of the crisper and the refrigerator/ freezer was not cooling properly. I called to have maintenance done on the unit, and the repairmen told me that all of the defrost circuits and the sealed compressor were working properly and the drain lines were clear. They stated that all of the older and same model of mine had issues on lack of insulation in the box and during summer/high humid months, the unit would not keep up. I contacted Samsung and they never heard of this and would be happy to come out to look at the unit. If it wasnt a compressor issue, I would be charged for the visit. So we just unplugged the refrigerator and let it thaw out, and after that it worked okay, but not great. Then in Feb 2014, my freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling, so I called up for maintenance and they determined the sealed cooling system was not working and to call Samsung for repair under the 5-yr warranty. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair rep and he came out and said that the compressor/sealed system was not working properly and he would be in 2 weeks. When he came back, he tried everything but he could find the leak and he stated that it was not repairable!! 3 months later, no working refrigerator, just a broken one sitting in the way in my kitchen. Samsung finally decided to buy the unit back, but it would take 15-20 days and would get back to me concerning the removal of the broken one. No check, no email - nothing at all. Please do not buy this model or from this company. They say they understand what I am going through, but I dont think they do because they would have sent me my check and removed this broken box out of my kitchen so I can buy a new one for my family without a refrigerator.

I have had issues with my products after the first year! How does this happen after spending so much on the products. I have called several times for repairs to be made, they are fixed, but before the month is out, I am calling for something totally different. I would like my refrigerator replaced as I have had the most problems with that. What can I do, as I have a warranty until November 2019 but the company where I purchased the products are out of business, HHGREGG?

We purchased this dishwasher as part of a package deal at Home Depot. We have had serious mold issues with this machine. Now it has an error message, water overload, that on further review, is a known problem with this machine. I have contacted Samsung thru their Facebook site, and was basically told We are sorry about your frustrations. They refuse to replace or repair this machine. I would like to see who all would like to get involved with a class action law suit. This product is a serious piece of junk, and the company refuses to do anything about it.

First off, I would like to say I never take the time to write out a review regarding a item. This just shows how unsatisfied I am with my purchase. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone. Do not buy any SAMSUNG product. The customer service reps do not offer any customer service. They do not know how to treat customers even after the crap their company has released in the recent years. Lets not forget about the blowing up of the cell phones and laundry machines. My complaint is about their refrigerators and how I have spent over $600 trying to fix the ice dispenser. The ice dispenser freezes up and does not slide out. It seems like the fridge is leaking water and causing the entire tray to freeze. The ice cubes are not in proper ice cube form. The ice cubes look like slushy. I complained to the customer service rep and their answer regarding my complaint was Sorry your item has passed the 1 year warranty for parts. I told the rep there are over 2000 complaints about this ice dispenser on the internet. I previously owned a GE profile refrigerator for over 17 years and never had one issue with it! The customer rep told me they do not go by the complaints on the internet for their products. I asked if they had any other solution and the rep told me once again Sorry the product has passed the one year warranty for the replacement items. If the company cannot offer a solution for their defective products, I will not ever in my life purchase a Samsung product. I will make sure I make this clear to all of my family members and friends. I have had this refrigerator for only a little over 2 years. Samsung teach your service reps how to resolve issues and test your products before releasing them. You shouldnt be telling your customers to fix a problem and have them pay $300 to get it fixed. Even your crappy service reps dont have a solution for your defective products. I am a very unsatisfied customer. I will have to go buy a new refrigerator since this issue is not being resolved.

We are having the repairman in on Monday because for the second time in 2 year our Samsung fridge is freezing lettuce and cheese. Yogurt is turning moldy even though there is still 3 weeks left till expiry. When the fridge works it’s great. When this happens it makes me nervous. We do not have an ice maker and I often wonder if it thinks there is one because it makes this strange clunky noises. Last time this happened we had to unplug the fridge so it could thaw out so they could change a part. I sure hope we don’t have to do this again. We only have 1 fridge so it does cause a bit of an inconvenience. My main problem is that we are losing food. This should not happen.

We purchased our Samsung gas stove a few years ago and have no complaints. I chose the particular model we have for the overall basic function in addition to the 5 burners and heavy gauge grates. The one downside is that the sticker tape around the temperature knobs does become worn after a while.

I bought a microwave by Samsung on Feb. 28, 2019 the microwave started smelling like burning wires, and would not heat food. I contacted Samsung and was told a technician would come out, technician came out and said he believes it needs to be replaced because a fire had started inside of the microwave. Samsung called them and told them they would not replace it because it was physical damage from grease. The technician that came out wrote in the report it was not grease it was like hard plastic and they would not replace it. My filters are still silver like new so how can you say grease build up within a year! I will never do this again and I have contacted my attorney!!
