Samsung Washer Model OBX WA47CG3500AVA4 Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

They would not replace the lettering on all appliances and suggest that I paid for a new set of lettering and paid for the labor to have them put back on... they would not even send me the lettering free for no reason. I have had so much trouble with the dishwasher in my life. I will NEVER buy a Samsung product in my life. They built such a poor appliances that I do expect for them to be out of business.

DMT300 Dishwasher - Low water level error. Over and over since the machine was just over a year old. Most problematic appliance I have ever owned. Can fix it by cleaning out the level switch assembly. I have done this 3 times. Had to pay for a manual to learn to press HEAVY, DELICATE, and POWER together to get into the diagnostic mode. The manual supplied with the dishwasher is pretty much useless.

I have purchased four Samsung appliances within the last four years, and three needed repairs. Microwave, purchased a year and 1/2 ago, needed new keypad which cost $160 repair. My French door refrigerator, purchased four years ago, needed new rear panel and defrost sensor/water build up under deli drawer. This is a common problem we find out. This cost us $185.50 in repair. Front loading washer, purchased three years ago, needed new bellow with repair cost of $137.21. Im very disappointed in Samsung products. I would like someone from Samsung to contact me if there is something they can do to help absorb some of these costs. Do you stand behind your product? I will be building a new home in the near future and will not be considering Samsung appliances.

My fridge looks great, is relatively easy to clean, has lots of space and only a few less-than-perfect attributes: you must NOT pack stuff around the air-flow at the back of the fridge; the gasket is NOT tough enough (already cracked after 3 yrs); the plastic cover for the deli-drawer cracked! Overall, I would buy the unit again despite the 3 deficiencies detailed above. It cools well, looks great, and has lots of room.

Other websites say to remove the control panel (keypad + circuit board) and clean all the wiring connections. In my case, that did not work. I ended up buying the $35 keypad/touchpad part # DE34-00330C (keypad with ribbon cable that plugs into the circuit board behind it). My microwave is now working and happy. Im glad it worked because the parts store said the circuit board is no longer available.

My Samsung refrigerator is only 3 years old. The fridge section has stopped cooling safely and I have had to throw all of the food away. As I was googling for ways to try and resolve the problem, I discovered that many of Samsung refrigerators have a problem similar to mine and a class action lawsuit was filed about this problem the year before I bought my fridge!!! Really!! I was sold a refrigerator that was already faulty. It should still be under warranty, but still doesnt make up for my lost food and the hassle and wait I have to go through with filing claims.

I bought a Samsung SMH9187ST Microwave OTR in Spring of 2010. 15 months later, the keypad totally died with only an SE on the display. I called Samsung and got a total runaround as its out of warranty. I have hardly even used this microwave! I talked to the manager at Lowes, where I purchased this, but he was unable to help much. What a crock! I called an appliance repair center to have this fixed on my own and was told it would be cheaper to buy a new microwave. This is consumer fraud and if anyone ever files a class action suit, please feel free to contact me!

My 3 year old over-the-range Samsung microwave displayed an -SE- error while beeping several weeks ago. I unplugged/replugged the oven and all was well. It started doing it again today but would not go away this time after I unplugged/replugged. I cleaned the sensor at the top inside center of the oven with a Q-Tip and 91% Isopropyl alcohol and it is working again. Dont know if its a semi-permanent fix or not since it just happened today. Ive enjoyed using this oven and have had no other issues.

I cant describe how horrible experience I have with Samsung product, lets begin, in 2013 I bought Samsung French door refrigerator ( RFG297HDRS/XAA) from Best Buy and I paid extra for extended warranty (which I found out it is not extended warranty. It is duplicated warranty). Now in 2016 it is broke down. I talked to Samsung few times. There is no authorized repair center close by and they had to talk to Sears Service but make long story short the estimate of repair is around $600 maybe even more for replacing control board. I recommend to stay with common brand like Whirlpool or Kenmore, Amman instead of paying more for some foreign brand which it cost a lot to repair plus they have very short life.

I bought a refrigerator 5 years ago. After 2 years the ice maker stopped working. 3 weeks ago my freezer stopped working. Now just yesterday my refrigerator stopped working. Samsung wants to send out one of their high technicians for something thats a manufacturer issue. I shouldnt have to pay for that. The fridge cost me thousands of dollars. My mom has a fridge in her garage from the 80s that works like a charm. These products are thrown together and they are more worried about the looks. My refrigerator is all looks and no brain.

This refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. After 3 years, we had to entirely replace the ice maker for over $200 in repairs (not covered by warranty). After 5 years, we had to repair the water dispenser. At exactly, 5 years and 4 months, the freezer died, 1 week later, the refrigerator died. It is out of warranty and Samsung does not provide any support. In our county, there is no longer a Samsung certified repair shop. No one will even touch it. Samsung finally referred us to A&E factory service, more than 40 miles away. They came out to do the diagnostic today (2 weeks after the freezer failed). The repairs for the broken evaporator are over $700. This was a $1,500 fridge purchased at Best Buy. Samsung has been very disappointing. They are not willing to cover anything or provide product support. Will not buy from them again.

It absolutely amazes me that SAMSUNG thinks it is okay for a 4 year old microwave to come on anytime the door is opened. Anyone else see a problem that this is dangerous to our children whom did not realize it was not working properly, so they stuck their hand in the microwave to lay the food on the turntable - all the while the microwave was operating - WITH THE DOOR OPEN??? I have a ticket number, a chat ID number and 2 phone calls from ** from their escalation team. Each of these encounters with their support team showed no concerns nor did they think they were responsible or liable for anything, they will NOT fix my microwave. So, for now I am using my 15 year old Sharp microwave in my garage. I replaced the keypad after 2 years because if you boiled anything on the right side of your stove the vent is not adequate enough nor is the keypad waterproofed so the condensation gets in and shorts it out. The repairman informed me Samsung had since figured this out on the next years model and corrected it, but did they repair my keypad? NO! I suppose I shouldve known better than to think they would care that my microwave comes on as soon as anyone opens the door, they were not concerned in the least! Guess my new 60 inch TV will be a Panasonic, that definitely changed my mind.

My fridge was only just 6 years old purchased in December 2013. It was stored in my shed, switched off, not used from Jan 2018 to Oct 2019 while we renovated. It just stopped working by not getting cold in January 2020 after being back in service for 4 months. I could not get a Samsung service agent to look at it. Finally a fridge mechanic that I found, advised me the fridge has failed to hold the refrigerant gas and even though the compressor was still working fine it cannot be repaired. I called Samsung Australia several l times and also used chat, had to follow up 5 times and despite my case being looked into as it was outside warranty any help or warranty replacement was denied. Reading the ACA website I would class this as a major fault that could not be repaired. Had I have known that there was a chance that a major fault would occur in only 5 years an expensive $2000,00 fridge would be thrown in the rubbish then I would have never purchased this brand. Its possible the pipework with the gas was poor quality material and can breakdown, something that never used to happen. A good quality fridge should last 10-15 years.. It has leaked all the poisonous R5 gas into the ozone layer and my kitchen and Samsung did not care. Samsung only offer a 2 year standard warranty on the new fridge products..So dont expect it to last much longer than that. Good looking fridge to attract you in, but I will never recommend you buy a Samsung fridge. Once bitten twice shy.

Please do not buy a Samsung dishwasher! After 13 years of a plain ordinary
Please do not buy a Samsung dishwasher! After 13 years of a plain ordinary Sears dishwasher, we felt it was time to upgrade and purchase a newer, more efficient dishwasher. Hence, the purchase of the Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher. Within the first year the pump went - let me tell you that it took over three weeks for Samsung to solve this problem. First excuse: they had no record of the repairman ordering the part. Second excuse: the repairman is sick. Third excuse: they overbooked the repairman. All in all, it was over a month to finish repairs. At this point, I start to think, “Is this going to be a pattern?” Our old Sears dishwasher was still working when we carried it out of the house!Okay, fast forward to two weeks - and guess what? The dishwasher was not working again. I called service and spent over one hour on the phone just to give info and we may be able to get service in a week. They have terrible, terrible service. They are a bunch of idiots, not to mention that you have to take time off of work to be here for repairs. I paid almost $900.00 for a piece of crap! The store where we purchased it, hhgregg, are totally of no use either! My warranty will run out soon and from the look of the other comments on this page, it looks like we may be in trouble! I should have done research before purchasing this dishwasher. If you are purchasing and reading these reviews, I strongly urge you not to purchase Samsung. I am so sorry that I did and I certainly will not in the future!

This is the worst company ever! The reason they only give you one year warranty is because they know their stuff is going to break down immediately afterwards and then you’re out of warranty. Every time these things that break down are ONLY very large electronic items that aren’t covered-so stay clear of this brand. I have now experienced a problem with the dishwasher and the refrigerator and theyre less than three years old.

I have a Samsung French door refrigerator with the cooling drawer. This is the worst product. I have contacted Samsung and they sent me to a service company who has come out three times and the refrigerator is still not working. First the freezer wouldn’t cool. The technician added Freon twice. Now both the refrigerator and freezer have stopped working. The item is icing up and the ice maker doesn’t work and makes a strange noise. All I get is the runaround from Samsung. So three missed days of work and two grocery orders ($600 - I have a large family of 6) later I still have not refrigerator/freezer. Buyer beware - avoid Samsung at all cost. Their customer service is horrible. Even the repair contractor said they have all kinds of issues with Samsung and the company will require that all parts are replaced before they will replace the item - even if the parts are unrelated to the problem. I am filing a BBB against Samsung. They know their products are defective/faulty.

I am a believer of Samsung refrigerators, ranges, otr microwaves and washer and dryers but I always warn my customers about Samsung dishwasher service issues. Im pretty sure that the salesperson that sold most of you a Samsung dishwasher mentioned that they were crap. With so many choices for dishwashers, you should have looked at Bosch first, Kitchen aid secondly then, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Frigidaire in that order. Leaving Samsung at the bottom. So anyone reading this post, please listen to your Appliance Specialist and avoid the frustration of repairing a Samsung dishwasher and please have confidence in the other Samsung appliances that are available.

We purchased this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABWP in July of 2009 because we thought it was a superior product. Wrong! It was fine until March of this year and then to the tune of $200 we had to have the repairman defrost the fan, etc. because it was so noisy. And then I discovered the water was leaking inside the refrigerator under the crisper trays. We thought the problem was solved until May of this year when we discovered ice forming under the crisper trays. Another service call to the tune of $200. And then in July, I discovered a repeat of the same problem. Previously when I called Samsung, I was told that if it happened again, they would do something. After 10 calls and faxing information twice, I was told that nothing could be done and that refrigerators only lasted 5 to 9 years anyway. I doubt they would want to pay $200 every three months to keep their refrigerator running properly and I also doubt that they replace their own refrigerator that often. Every time you call, you have to give the model number, your name and phone number and then be referred to the executive customer service and repeat the same information. Usually there isnt a supervisor that you can talk to and so you have to call back again and go through the entire thing again. My opinion is that if you have to do this enough times, you finally give up and go away! What a poor recommendation for a company so well known!

RF266AEPN/XAA - Purchased 8-2012. Pbm began July 2014. The fan made a loud racket. Sears was great. Repairman said it was due to fan hitting against ice built up on drain tubes caused by putting hot food in refrig (steam turned to ice). Food safety requires hot foods must be refrigerated! I now have to defrost my refrig & freezer for 2 days to install a $200 kit to prevent this from happening again... It should have never happened in the first place. What an inconvenience. While Samsung denies having a problem, they conveniently have a repair kit specifically designed for the Non Problem. It is a beautiful and functional refrigerator but I am disgusted with Samsung. If make a mistake, admit it, fix it and people will respect you. Samsung responsibility is to reimburse everyone for the kit and the cost of installation.

Bought July 2016. Now 3 1/2 years old. Called because freezer was not freezing while refrigerator still worked. Day before tech came found ice on inside wall of refrigerator. Tech said two problems. Ice on the wall is a little problem. Freezer is big problem. I would have to pay for the little problem and warranty would cover freezer. GREAT worth fixing. Freezer had a Freon leak. Suppose to be covered. After working on and discussing with manager he said they wont warranty it, there are many leaks in copper tubing and corrosion on compression. Said it was due to environmental reasons maybe humidity. Crazy we built our house 30 years ago and put in a Sears Kenmore refrigerator. It lasted 27 years without any repairs, replaced because of color. No leaks. No corrosion. Was still working. My house has copper tubing plumbing. I havent had a leak in 30 years. Other appliances replaced washing machine 1 time during the 30 years and I am on 3rd dishwasher (once to update color once because I tripped and fell on door bending the hinges). In fact I bought the dishwasher around same time as Samsung refrigerator and it is still going. Only the Samsung refrigerator rotted out in 3 years. Not one p problem two problems on this Samsung in 3 years. Search sealant leaks, Freon leaks. You will find it is not uncommon for relatively new Samsung refrigerators.

Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has no record of my problem. Over a month ago Samsungs repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback. I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and cant do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements wont work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. I purchased my Samsung refrigerator June, 2015. Within 6 weeks, water started leaking from under the freezer. I called Samsung customer service who attempted to give me some how-to information. This did not work. For over 1 year Ive tried to rectify the problem via Samsung until they finally said, sucks to be you!, your appliance is out of warranty. I pushed the issue and was told to submit receipts, which are on thermo paper and no longer readable. It has been determined to be un-repairable because there is no Samsung service repair in my area. Likely a simple adjustment needs to be done, but Samsung will not authorize repair. They tell me that I will have to send in the paperwork, all labels from appliance, the cord (plus a video of me cutting said cord), and they will review the file and send me a check... OK... let me trust that process.

Bought range (MODEL FTQ 353IWUX-XAA) & 5 other Samsung appliances May 30, 2011 at Lowes in Belmont, NC. While at home, range started making noises smoking from back control panel July 2013 - like blew up - tried to contact Samsung even though out of warranty. They were slow to respond. Finally set up service through them - $90. Technician said this is a common occurrence with this model - they will repair for $400. Going online for reviews, this is happening frequently with this model. Samsung knows of this defect but will not help...

Another Samsung piece of junk. We have a Samsung side by side with bottom freezer and the ice maker has been freezing over ever since the warranty expired. We have to defrost it every week now and seems to be getting more often. We contacted a service rep and he says he cant even fix it because there is a hole inside the icemakers cabinet, which is covered with a piece of duct tape. Well we didnt put it there, thats how it came when we bought it. So I guess $90 just to know why we have been having issues with it.

I have complained since day one, when this piece of junk was delivered to my house! To begin with, they delivered the wrong fridge from Conns in Baton Rouge LA (named appropriately). I tried to explain to the delivery men that I had ordered a white fridge that matches my kitchen, with nothing black in it! The fridge has never worked! It finally got so hot last week, I had to turn it off and put outside. As everyone online said, I can forget Samsung or Conns help or sympathy in this matter! I will not go out of my way on Facebook and any place anyone will listen to me and expose this factory and Appliance store. They have the worst name is their refrigerators than anyone I have ever of! Now, I can truly understand why! I wish everyone would get together and sign a class action lawsuit against these phonies. They should be closed permanently! I am a widow and Ive on coc sec. income and now I have no refrigerator, Samsung and Conns could care less. When I first bought the fridge 3 yrs ago, I tried to make them replace it and save 6 service trips because it was a lemon, but now I hear that all they have are lemons and they could care less.

I should have listened to myself and only buy made with pride in the U.S. products UGH! We bought a SAMSUNG model RS265TDRS for an apartment that we use only on weekends. With 2 people, I hardly think that fridge gets much use but I do stock it with meats and other frozen food. I happen to notice my dog was licking something at the floor at the bottom of the fridge and that is when I noticed the leak was coming from the fridge. I open the freezer and refrigerator and everything is melting. I thought I maybe left the door ajar earlier ? NO, I did not! Who is going to pay for the spoilage now? Is Samsung going to reimburse me for all the food that got wasted? I also got Samsung TVs , Range, Microwave, Dishwasher, the whole works! Am I going to expect those to break down anytime soon?

3 yr old Samsung French fridge started frosting over inside walls, melting then flooding floor, spoiling milk, veggies and frozen items, molding foods. Ice maker doesnt work, loud motor and barking sound (both intermittent). Called Samsung, gave me name and phone for certified technician - 7/1/14. First appt for a tech - 7/14. Tech needed to order part. Two-3 wks later tech returned...wrong part. Had to order different part. Tomorrow is 9/1/14. We bought this refrigerator at Lowes Dec 2012. Sale price was $1400.00 plus tax. Our problems started about 2 years after we bought the unit. Every 2-3 months this refrigerator will start making a terrible loud noise that will stop when you open the door. After read other reviews we realized that we have to take out all of food and defrost this freezer overnight due to a build up of ice on the fan in the refrigerator side. Not only is it annoying to have to do this plus losing so much food due to this problem. I will never buy another Samsung Appliance! Im sure Im not the only consumer out there that feels this way!

Ice accumulates behind the back panel causing the motor to grind very loudly. When we travel we turn off the water to the house to prevent water on floor. Just bought this microwave and first time using it, noticed a burning smell but I thought was just because it was new. Second time I used it, microwave went on fire. Fire stopped when we turned off the microwave. We then called Samsung who wanted pictures so we turned microwave back on with nothing in it. Again went on fire and we took pictures of the flames and the burn hole, that looks exactly like the pictures others have posted. Been in contact with Samsung for days who are still reviewing the case and whether it will be approved to send out a service guy to repair my burnt up microwave. Im lucky my daughter wasnt near the microwave or we werent defrosting something and left.Samsung takes zero responsibility even though I could have had a house burn down or the fact we just spent nearly 10,000 on all Samsung appliances. This microwave needs to be recalled!! If you google it, so many have caught on fire, yet Samsung does nothing to warn the consumer or even try to fix the situation. Disgusted by Samsung.

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Style Refrigerator from our local Lowes about 6 years ago. A few years after we had it, the produce drawers started to get water in them and then started freezing into sheets of ice. It ruined produce, etc and then we couldnt use either of the drawers. It cost us at that time $200 to have it fixed. The repairman told me then that this was a common problem with this refrigerator and it had to do with the design. Just called a repairman today to come and repair my refrigerator with the very same issue. Another $250 repair into this product. Samsung should stand behind these repairs if this a poor design or defective part in this refrigerator. The next time it happens I will give the refrigerator away and never buy a Samsung again nor will I ever recommend this product to anyone.

My French door refrigerator started forming ice about 18 months after purchase. Warranty is only a year, which is ridiculous when you pay that much for a appliance. I checked online for anyone else experiencing the problem. Most problems were with water under the crisper drawers which I hadnt experienced. I called Samsung and the first words the service desk said were, We havent experienced that problem before, which I knew was bogus because every person that called them said they said the same thing. Anyway after over 2 years of emptying my freezer and getting the ice out, I finally bit the bullet and called a repairman. I wish Id done it right away.He took the bottom panel off the back, took out the two drain pipes for the automatic defrost, about 7each with a rubber, flat nipple on each one. He shows me the small slit across the end of the nipple that the water drains thru and explains that if that slit gets clogged the water backs up and freezes in the bottom. It also could cause water to be leaked under the drawers in the cooling part of fridge. All he did was cut about -1/8 off of the flat ends and put them back on the pipes and reinstall them. They must just slide on because he didnt have any tools but the screwdriver to remove the panel and a snipper to cut the rubber nipple. You can use scissors for that. I could have done this myself had I known what to do. Thats why Im writing this. Also he said to be sure to turn fridge off for 48 hours to make sure all the ice has defrosted. Thats a pain, but weve been removing the ice for 2 years every 3-4 weeks. If this works, its worth the 48 hours without a fridge. If this works, you wont hear from me, if not, Ill let you know. It was a $79 service call. Its a bad design and hopefully Samsung has changed it. My fridge is almost 4 years old. I love everything else about it.

Our beautiful and expensive Samsung fridge has locked up several times, requiring a hard defrost. This time it actually burnt up the fan, requiring an emergency overnight purchase of a new fan. And were not sure the new fan will work - the serial numbers on our fan show that its no longer available, and Samsung doesnt have replacements. We had to go with a third party and hope their best guess is right. In the meantime our food is in coolers for two days, and the ** of it is that Im pretty sure that the best case scenario is that this fan will fit, and in a few months it will all freeze solid and lock up and burn the fan out again.Im ready to throw in the towel, but we spent a couple of grand on this (considerable for a not-wealthy family) and my husband wants to keep trying. It would be so bad but apparently this has been going for almost a decade. Im pissed off at Samsung for still putting out this shoddy product, as well as Lowes for continuing to see it. Hello, I dont normally get on this and write reviews but the phone call I just had with Samsung just blew my mind. Weve had our stove for 2 years. I just noticed today that the exterior front of the stove is peeling off. It is extremely unsightly and never seen any other product stove peel like this or had had these kinds of issues. Should this be happening after 2 years? This peeling clearly states (from the outside) that its a cheaply made product. The best part is that I called Samsung to see if there is possibly anything we can do for this and to let them know that this is happening. They had no recourse whatsoever and that there is no warranty to cover such a thing.I kindly explained that now, its a thing and asked if theyd be able at least give me some idea on how to go about fixing this issue and they said, no. Then I said, Well then unfortunately Im going to have to write negative review. Is this what your company wants? and then they gave me a dissertation of why I should do that and where the information goes. With all of this said, wouldnt Samsung rather have a positive review by at least someone saying I called Samsung about my peeling stove and that even though there was no warranty to cover this, they provided me with a few service, or with some resources to help fix this issue.

Our Samsung dishwasher started leaking one week ago (3 years old). Not under warranty. It was very hard to get a Samsung approved repairman. Samsung, he assures me, will pay for the part. It is a scam. When I called Samsung, they had never heard of a service bulletin, might not have heard of Samsung, not sure. They kept reading from their cue cards: Your dishwasher is not under warranty anymore. They were rude and very unhelpful. I have FOUR Samsung appliances in my kitchen, did not even treat me as a valued customer. I bought this refrigerator/freezer, Model # RF26XAEPN43FE4BZ100091T, in latter part of March or early April 2010. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Thanksgiving evening. I had to rent a refrigerator to store all of my leftover food. Plus the other items I had in the refrigerator. It was under warranty. The repairman didnt come until the next week. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. Silly me I thought that they were going to cover the $125.00 for the tech. I proceeded to question the person that I was talking to. He kept putting me on hold, because he could not answer my questions.I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. The phone person told me someone higher up will contact me. The odds of that happening are less than one out of a trillion. My icemaker does not work. The door freezes; I stopped messing with it. I just wanted to vent my frustration, so now I have. I will never buy another Samsung product. I have been unable to locate my receipt; I bought the product at Lowes in Newport News, VA.

Like everyone else posting here, I bought a Samsung Over the Range Microwave. At the time, Consumer Reports thought it was the best buy in microwaves. Last time I bother to read Consumer Reports. My Samsung isnt even 2 years old; but of course, no longer under warranty and it stopped working. I get weird symbols appearing on the panel, then SE, then a row of 6s and beeping. My husband tried to do what other people having this problem have reported doing on the internet. Unplugged it for a day, tried resetting the key pad. The bottom line is the keypad is flawed and even if he can coax the microwave to work for a short time, it ultimately quits working again. My husband went online to purchase a replacement keypad from Sears. Sears discontinued the part. I guess they dont want to be mixed up in this mess. I dont blame them. I called Samsung and good luck. They could care less about making good on a clearly flawed design/part. They told me they could arrange a repairman to come to fix it at my expense. I am not throwing away more of my money trying to fix this piece of junk. Samsung obviously wont stand behind their products.Time to buy another microwave; it took a lightning strike to kill my first GE microwave of 20+ years. I am headed back to the GE showroom. This was the first Samsung product I have ever bought and it will be the last. I really hope that they recorded my conversation with their representative on the phone today. Maybe when the company goes bankrupt, they will figure out in retrospect why! They deserve to go bankrupt.P.S. I saw another disgruntled customer has posted a video on YouTube about his microwaves bizarre behavior. He has the same model as mine and his microwave is doing the same thing that mine is doing. Watch the video and weep. Fight with your wallet and dont buy Samsung products!

I am having problems with the oven temperature in my brand new Samsung gas range purchased less than a month ago. When the preheat feature arrives at 350 degrees, it is not that hot in the oven. I have placed an oven thermometer in my oven because of the uneven temperatures and untrue displayed temperatures. When I called the Samsung phone number, the tech told me how to adjust or as he called it recalibrate the temperature. I did try this, however, It still appears that it takes 20 minutes or longer to reach the required temperature. In my previous 30-year-old gas range, the temperature reached the requirement in ten minutes. After reading the comments on this site (I wish I had known about it before purchasing my Samsung gas range), I would have chosen another brand. Now, I am afraid to even try the self cleaning feature.

I purchased Samsung 237 French door ref. The shelves are not spaced properly to accept milk or juice containers - the items must be tipped and forced into the shelf space. The shelves are made of an extremely brittle plastic and are subject to cracking. I have had to replace two-hinged shelves due to shattered plastic hinges even though they were never moved from the horizontal position. The crisper drawer is full width and can only be operated when both refrigerator doors are in full open position. I contacted manufacturer within warranty period and one-hinged shelf was replaced with the caveat that this was a one-time honor of the warranty and it would not be repeated. Now another shelf has multiple breaks in the plastic due to its brittleness, and we have a poor quality appliance that is out of warranty. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator unless you have a very high tolerance for aggravation.

We bought a very nice, at least thats what we thought anyway at the time, Samsung Model RF4289HARS French door refrigerator from Home Depot in December of 2011. The ice maker took forever to make ice and it had very little storage. We ran out of ice all of the time and there was only two of us using it. In February of 2014 the ice machine stopped working completely. We had a service man come out and replace the entire front computer portion of the refrigerator that the ice maker was a part of. The cost to replace it was $863.58. Yes, thats right. $863.58 cost to repair an ice maker that was 3 years and 2 months old. Well, guess what. Here it is December of 2017 and the same thing has occurred. No ice maker. Broken again after just 3 years and 9 months after replacing an $863.58 part. Samsung makes a good TV. Their refrigerators are extremely pricing and break down every three years. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Buy a good old made in the USA refrigerator that will probably outlive you. Thanks for nothing Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator less than 4 years ago. Began having problems right away with cube vs. crushed ice. Then within first year ice maker would freeze up. Almost impossible to remove ice bin on ice maker when it freezes up. Have had it repaired twice for hefty service fees. The only solution now is to replace the ice maker with the same crappy design or purchase a new refrigerator which would never be a Samsung. I have contacted Samsung several times and they have never responded. I am extremely disappointed with this manufacturer.

On March 10, 2012, we purchased a French door black counter depth refrigerator 17.8 cu ft model rf197acbp. About a month ago, we noticed water in the bottom of the fridge - I thought maybe someone spilled something. I cleaned it out with 4 bath towels, and now it’s filling up again. I called Samsung and was treated with “what do you want me to do about it” attitude - you’re two or 3 months past warranty - it’s your problem. I asked him if he heard anything about this problem before and he said, never, I was the first. But I was horrified when looking at this site. Come on. Are there not laws protecting us from 1-year appliances? The last refrigerator was 22 years old, cheap and an Amana. The government should be forcing a class action lawsuit for a product they know is bad and still selling them every day. The worst thing is, they dont seem to have a fix - to me, that is lemon law. The government should step in and force a recall or stop the import!!

We purchased a Samsung Black Stainless, 4 door flex zone fridge. After being ordered it arrived May 27, 2016 for a new home that was being built. It was installed July 4, 2016 which was when we moved in and started using it. By August 2017, the ice maker completely malfunctioned. We had frozen solid icebergs all around the ice maker, no ice in the ice cube tray. Looked up troubleshooting in the manual, cleared all the built up icebergs and it worked for about 2 days before it completely froze up again. After trying for a couple of weeks we called a repair person which cost $80 for him to come to look at and possibly repair ice maker. He indicated that the ice maker needed to be replaced. In September we called Samsung support, they told us we had to call a Samsung approved repair person and provided us with a name of the company they approved and then I was told I be referring to the troubleshooting area in the manual in the future before contacting support (apparently if you feel you need support you shouldn’t call them). Anyway, called the approved repair company and they came out and said ice maker probably needed to be replaced but tried to seal the ice maker with weather stripping to see if it might have been warm air coming from the fridge that was causing the ice maker to malfunction. That didn’t work, again, within 2 days, everything was surrounded by frozen icebergs again so the repair people said they would contact Samsung to get parts to replace the defective ice maker. They also indicated that Samsung had admitted there was a design flaw in their icemakers that was causing them to fail. This repair company came on Nov. 15, 2017. It took 3 months for the parts to come in after according the repair company said they ‘had a struggle with Samsung”. They arrived on Feb. 14 with the parts and repaired the ice maker and handed us a bill for $614.00!!!! The defective ice maker has now cost us a total of $850.00!!! We had no forewarning from the repair company that it was going to cost this much. They had told us in Nov. that it wouldn’t be more than $300 so we were completely blindsided. We never would have agreed to have the ice maker repaired if we had known we were going to be charged another $614.00. I was very upset so contacted Samsung customer service. They asked for a copy of the receipt for the service, a copy of the receipt for the fridge, serial number, etc. I asked them to be reimbursed for the cost of the parts which was almost $500 of the $614 bill. Samsung responded back saying the fridge was past warranty and they would not reimburse me for anything. The fridge lasted 13 months, just long enough for Samsung to clear the warranty period and not have to take responsibility for their admittedly defective product. It appears it is reasonable to them that their fridges last for only a year before major malfunctions and repairs are required. Samsung in my opinion provides inferior, knowingly defective products and does not stand behind their products. Their customer service is poor and I will never, ever buy anything Samsung again. I would also like to add that I told Samsung customer service that we had purchased the fridge, gas range, washer and dryer. So we had been a good customer, purchasing several of their higher end products. They couldn’t care less. I would tell anyone considering Samsung anything to run as fast as they can in the other direction, stay away from Samsung at all costs. They are a company that supplies an inferior product, poor customer service and takes advantage of their customers by selling admittedly defective products, and then charging exorbitant prices for parts to repair them. Please warn people about how horrible this company is and to stay away from their products. We should not have had to pay $850.00 to repair a virtually brand new higher end refrigerator.

Lets starts with the nice sturdy looking knobs. The inside is a piece of plastic that breaks within a month. The NX58H5600SS convection oven is worse than a normal oven and takes longer to cook food. 4 short months after the warranty was up, it starts randomly beeping and giving me a -SE- on the screen. Wont even show the time. None of the buttons work even after all the troubleshooting. Troubleshooting for this code is just push off button. Ok well the buttons dont work. So unplug for 30 seconds. Now that thats done it is still displaying the -SE-. Thanks Samsung as a service call will cost at least 300 to come fix it according to other reviews. What a piece of crap this oven is. Will never buy Samsung anything again. Not like they even care! My tv, all my phones, washers, dryers, nothing ever again! And the service call person sounded like she couldnt give 2 craps seeing as how she told me it was her Friday. Wasnt even concerned that I just spent $900 on a stove that ** the bed 16 months later!!! Bad Samsung! BAD!

A new problem has arisen with our Samsung DMR 77 dishwasher. We resolved two old the ones frequently mentioned by others here (see below). New problem is that after two years of use, the upper spray arm drops off its mounting and when snapped back, falls off again in use. We had the same problem others reported with the dishwasher turning on at the slightest touch or seemingly even a near approach. Samsung should sell the technology for proximity switches. But the solution is simple: turn on the child lock feature immediately after the cycle begins. That is, disable when you want to run the damn thing, then enable as soon as the cycle begins so you dont forget. Problem solved with minimum hassle. We also experienced the Lego snap-off wheel problem, lower rack only, and the only solution we found is to pull the rack straight out. Cheap or stupid design, no question. We bought Samsung dishwasher, microwave, and range (and TV) when we redid our kitchen. The dishwasher has been worst by far in quality.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I had an extended warranty on the fridge. During the 5 years of the warranty I had to have it repaired 6 times for the same problem which is the back keeps freezing up and will not defrost. For the last 2 years I bought another warranty from Sears. They came out every 4 months to defrost and replace the fan and the defrost sensor. I called Samsung and they refuse to give me my money back for the unit. The customer service is horrible. So if you have any sense DONT BUY. I paid $1,995 for this model. Now they are stating they will only give me $427.00 because it has depreciated in the seven years of owning it.

My Samsung dishwasher model DMT300RFW failed six months out of warranty, but used less than 20 times (it was at a second home). Repair cost was just over 1/2 the purchase price.Failed part was the drain pump, DD31-00005A. Failure mode was that the impeller shaft O ring had expanded from the drain water, preventing the shaft from turning freely. (The housing O ring had also expanded.) The O rings were not made with an appropriate material. In summary, the failure of a 10-cent part killed the dishwasher.Next, an attempt was made to report these findings to Samsung through their 800 number. Though my message was taken, there appeared to be a stone wall in terms of getting anyone to do anything. If this happens again, and it likely will, I may buy space in the Wall Street Journal and see if they care. What did I expect, at least that someone would make sure that my findings got to the right people. I guess it would be naive to expect anything else.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher at Lowes less than 4 months ago. Started having problems. Called my very unhelpful Samsung warranty people. All I got was the runaround. The part that holds the seal in place has come off and it leaks on the floor. They told me that they would send a repairman out and told me that I would have to pay for the service call and that the part was a cosmetic issue and that it is not covered by their so-called warranty that is not worth blowing my nose on it. If there is anyone wanting to do a class action lawsuit I am in. I will never buy a Samsung product as long as I live. Lowes Home Improvement was not any help. I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

We had our Samsung fridge for 3 years in July and the compressor decided to fail, with the warranty expiring after 2 years. However, Samsung organized a repair agent to attend at a cost of $130 for an onsite visit to tell me it was the compressor and that it would be covered under warranty as the compressor has a 5-year warranty on it. That was great so they organized an agent to attend again (Samsung Plaza) to pick up the fridge, so I waited all day and they never showed up. Then the following week, they finally picked it up. After a week of them repairing the fridge, they delivered it back. They delivered it in the pouring rain, it was windy and they were in a rush. In such a rush, the truck door smashed the side of my fridge. As they brought it into my house, they scratched and dented my door on my house. They broke the wheel underneath the fridge and pushed it along my floor boards. They have now made a mess of my floors by denting the floor boards from my door all the way to where the fridge is located. When they left, I went to shut the door and noticed pieces of the fridge on the floor and as I looked down, I noticed the door on my house was damaged and the massive dents in my floor. I then contacted them straight away to tell them because by this stage, the delivery guys had driven off. I had a 3-month-old baby in my hand at the time. Thats why I hadnt followed them out. When I reported it, they were great and shocked about what had happened and were making a case of it.After many, many calls since 9th August 2012, they finally decided to approve they would repair the damage. I have spent time getting quotes for the door and my floor to be fixed and forward them on. I then had the owner of Samsung Plaza come out to view the damage and she advised she would send me a check for the door to be repaired but had someone she knew who would fix my floor. Since then I have again made many, many calls and emails and really havent got anywhere. I was advised a repair guy would come 31 October and had a call in the morning to cancel. I then told her that I had the painter coming out to repair the door and needed the check for payment and she advised she would send it in the mail. This has never been seen. I have contacted her chasing the check and the repair guy and always am told, Ill call you back. I have been pretty patient and its wearing very thin now after almost months of this. I need help on getting to the bottom of this. In the meantime, I have another Samsung agent attend to pick up and repair the broken wheel on my fridge.

Bought this fridge brand new 13 months ago from Lowes. We are not very happy with this design as the french doors close somewhat difficult and often get stuck. That is minor compared to parts breaking so quickly. One of the shelves in the door (door bin) fell out of the fridge last week and the contents shattered on our kitchen floor. Minor damage to our floor also occurred. When I called Samsung, they stated the fridge was long out of warranty. I checked the tags and sure enough the fridge was 3 years old. Bottom line is, Samsung honors purchase date for warranty but Im over by 3 weeks. So sorry they said and offered Samsung parts number. This is an utter joke all around!

Houseful of Samsung Appliances and now I am stuck. Microwave takes forever to boil a cup of water for tea. Cheap handle broke off after 2 years. Dishwasher doesnt clean dishes, you must basically wash by hand before you put them in. French door refrigerator crapped under 3 yrs. Paid over $900 to fix. Icemaker was part of that fix, now a little over a year it stopped working again. Stove knobs all broke off gas stove... under 3 yrs old. Also dont bother using the cleaning mode on your gas stove. Its known to get so hot it fries the circuit board. Costly repair I had on that one.Washer tears clothes and cant use bleach anymore because it goes through the compartment prematurely and blotches my load. TVs lasted no more than 3 years and my phone sucks. I have wasted so much money let alone time waiting for service people to show... or not to show. Customer service... a total joke. Never willing to resolve issues. I have over $8000 in home appliances and electronics that, unfortunately dont know when they will see their day. But when its time, Samsung will never again be my choice. Cant afford to buy junk anymore. But they dont care. They got my money. Dont let them get yours!

I purchased the Samsung refrigerator from Sears 1/5/2012. It was a very costly purchase - $2500.00. Shortly after I had it, the ice maker didnt freeze/chill well. That issue was addressed. Then the ice maker didnt give an adequate supply of ice. Apparently, the computer screen/mechanics that controls that was replaced by Samsung. The repairman stated it would need replacing again because the set was all wrong. The ice is not making ice again. It was replaced April 27, 2013.The make-up of the dispensing controls appears to be set up for failure from the beginning. The ice and water are sort of piggybacked to each other and something within this or the computerized screen will not allow them both to work. I have contacted Samsung and they have not attempted to reach out to me to resolve this problem with their product.

I wrote a review earlier this month and I had my 1 ½ yr old Samsung RF217 French Door replaced with the SAME MODEL to give Samsung a chance to redeem themselves. I received the new fridge on September 12, 2013. The installation process was horrible and I will address that with the retail company in person. Anyhow, instead of the Fridge portion being too warm like the RF217 part 1, now RF217 part 2 is an overactive FREEZER. Please note I DO NOT use the ice maker, I have that feature turned off, But for some reason I have snow cones being made in my freezer and I cannot open the top drawer as it is FROZEN SHUT. The installers set it up per manufacturer direction temperatures -2 freezer and 38 for the Fridge. Consumer ignorance?? I think not. Samsung Corp. you make a horrific product and I will be pleading with the store that I bought it from to give me back my money in full so I can go back to my normal life. I cannot and will not eat out for another week, month or year because my $1500 refrigerator does not work properly. And just so we are clear, ALL THREE OF MY SAMSUNG Refrigerators were BRAND NEW. ALL THREE WERE FAULTY. I hope this is clear enough that three times is not a charm. In addition to the bad manufacturing, the delivery service managed to deliver a scratched left front French door, left all the packaging inside, dumped about a gallon of water onto my Laminate Floor which I had to personally dive to the ground with bathroom towels because the water would absolutely ruin the floor and they SCRATCHED the side and front of my BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE, and then denied the damage. I was literally standing right there during the entire install. Hello I was the one cleaning up the water so of course they scratched it. My towel sure didnt. Anyhow, bad product, bad service, and subpar customer service equals the end of customer loyalty to Samsung. Samsung get out of the appliance business.

We bought a french door refrigerator (RF323TEDBSR/AA) in August 2015; In May 2016 the fan started to make a funny noise. In June the fridge stops cooling. Freezer works fine. We called Samsung, no complaints about the customer service, however the communication between Samsung and services provider is really bad. The first one said our manufacturer warranty was expired in March 2015, but we bought the fridge in August. Second service guy came over; very pleasant guy; changed the defrost panel. It has been exactly a month that they changed the back panel, and the noise from the fan going against the built ice came back. We called Samsung again yesterday, then I decided to check some reviews. I start thinking we made a bad choice buying this product. Like many dissatisfied and cheated people... My parents range top cracked with a loud noise last night (while everyone was in another room of the house) breaking the stove top, literally just a month after the one year warranty expired. This is ridiculous! That a company can get away with this! Hundreds of dollars down the drain and now they are forced to purchase a new one!? Or perhaps replace the specific part for two hundred dollars and just hope it doesnt just keep happening? Which clearly it will with all of the people having similar experiences. The previous oven they had lasted my parents 20 years! Whats worse is that they purchased a matching Samsung washer, dryer, and microwave. Who knows when those are gonna break or blow up? As of right now I plan to contact an attorney, this is happening to way too many people for Samsung to not do a better job of helping. Why are these appliances still being sold to people??? We bought ours at Best Buy who of course are more than happy to take their money for another oven. My parents are older and they arent gonna get online and research this stuff. So sad, that companies can take advantage of people like this. It has to stop! It broke my heart to see my dad trying to figure out what went wrong with this damn thing last night.
