Samsung Washer Model OBX WA52A5500AW-US Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

Bought a Samsung refrigerator less than two years ago at Sears and it just started leaking water into the bottom drawers. Called service and were told nothing could be done, that this is a common problem with the SAMSUNG refrigerators. The ice maker will not stop making ice. In order to make it stop we have to do it manually. DONT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR. We will make an effort to communicate to as many thousands people as possible (how about making a viral video to show on social media?) that SAMSUNG does not care about customers problems...

Disappointed that Samsung knows that their microwave have a defect (se error) and have no plans on correcting. My microwave is 2 years old. I would not recommend anyone to buy a Samsung refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher or stove. I cant believe in two years every one of the appliances have issues. $5,500 down the drain.

Bought the brand new RF22K9581SR refrigerator with the computer panel in the door. Paid over $5,000.00 for it and I have never seen anything that scratches so easily. It is a beautiful refrigerator but even the glass pressing against the water dispenser lever scratches it. Shows all traces of fingerprints. You would think for an appliances that costs over $5,000.00 they would pay attention to that. I called Samsung and the agent did not even care.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator, model @ RF263BEAESR in Aug 2012. First off, the handle broke off within a year and a half or so. I find the parts list online & email Samsung to ask how to locate them and buy them, as a couple of them didnt have part #s on the schematic. They proceed to tell me that they cannot sell me these parts, that I would need to contact a Samsung authorized repair person. Fast forward to 6-2016. The ice maker has continually frozen up for the past couple of months. Then all of a sudden, the fan starts making a loud noise. Then I realize that the unit is not as cool as it is supposed to be after purchasing a thermometer and setting it inside.Luckily, I purchased the extended warranty through the company I bought it from, however, the warranty contract will only allow $125 reimbursement in spoiled food. When I went through all of the food, I tallied it all up and it totaled over $208!! I am angry that Samsung has made such a shoddy product and no recall has been issued for this fridge. IMO, a fridge should last longer than 3 years before having cooling issues. I have owned others for many, many more years and never had a cooling problem with those.Apparently, this is a well known issue that the unit freezes up in the coil/ fan area, yet Samsung has not issued a recall, just a service bulletin! I threw away $2300 on this fridge and it looks like I will be forced to search for another one. I also own a Samsung dishwasher (has been worked on twice since purchased in 2013) and washer (has been worked on once since purchased in 2013) and dryer (crossing my fingers on that one!) Had I have known that they do not care about their customers and making things right, I would have never purchased any of their products! I know I wont be a repeat customer!!!

We purchase this Fridge for our RV which was screaming for a full sized Fridge. It is lightweight, perfect in size, very quiet, doesnt create excessive heat and most importantly has a low power draw. We have owned it two years and remains issue free and takes the abuse we RVers tend to put on a fridge. Highly recommend.

I paid almost $ 3,000 for a stainless steel refrigerator for my beautiful new kitchen to then have the ice maker never to work properly since the day I purchased it. It’s the 2015 Samsung four door refrigerator. We have done everything to make it work for us. Finally this month we bought another refrigerator, obviously a different name brand. I called Samsung and informed them of what we had to do and would they at least give us some of our money back and we would buy another Samsung, updated of course. No go! Offered us nothing! Bad business Samsung!

My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

When our refrigerator quit after 24 years, I was excited to receive our new Samsung refrigerator. The unit was on sale, but my particular unit had been mislabeled in the store, so the salesman gave me the listed price. Perfect! Well, less than 8 months later, the ice maker just quit - on the day of our Thanksgiving dinner. I read all the literature and watched the videos via the QR Codes. My husband and I both reset the ice maker and waited 24 hours. We changed the water filter, even though no indicator light suggested it needed changing. My first call to Samsung left me beyond frustrated. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told no one was available. This technician (I use this word loosely) had me repeat everything that I had already done. Then she finally told me to turn the ice maker off on the door panel and wait 90 minutes for it to start making ice again. When I asked how it would possibly make ice when its off, she just kept repeating her instructions. What did I do? I turned the ice maker off. I wondered if this was some hard reset that wasnt listed in any material. Then came call number 2. I turned the ice maker on and gave it a little time. Nothing. I told the second Samsung person what the first person had me do. He said, Well, your ice maker wont work if its turned off. You think? He started asking me to do everything again...checking filter, resetting machine. He then asked me the temp settings. I told him -2 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. He said I needed to change the fridge to 37. When I asked him why setting my fridge one degree warmer would help, he had no answer. He then told me to wait 2-3 hours and call them back if it was not working. I said, Look, Ive been doing the same procedures for over 24 hours now. Cant you schedule someone to come fix this? He then informed me that it was procedure.Call number 3. When the third technician started to ask me questions, I cut her off. I explained that I wasnt going to repeat everything again for a third person, especially when my husband and I had already performed the same steps the day before. She apologized and told me that someone would be in my area on Friday, but the service department would call and confirm. I received a call from their service department. It was an automated message, asking me to wait. When nothing happened after several minutes, I hung up. On the second call, I decided to put my phone on speaker and go about my tasks. After 30 minutes, no one had picked up! I then called them back. After a few calls, I finally reached someone. I was told that they did not have me down for service for Friday and that the next available day would be the next Thursday. So, we are now waiting to see if someone will actually show for Thursdays appointment. I cant believe that something is broken in such little time. I usually read reviews before purchasing any big ticket items. I didnt with this purchase. When your fridge goes out, you simply go out and get one, preferably one that can be delivered quickly. I wont make this mistake again, and I definitely will not be purchasing a Samsung! I dont see how this company is going to stay in business with poor quality and poor service.

Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

We purchase a Samsung refrigerator three years ago and at least four times we’ve had to take it apart to defrost it because it would freeze up in the back. We contacted Samsung before and they do not cover under their so called 10 yr warranty! That is the only reason why we purchased it because of the warranty! I will never purchase a Samsung product ever again and I will never refer a family or friend to purchase it either!!! They lost a customer with us.

I am having the same problem as Kimberly from California reviewed back in September on the water filter replacement cartridge DA29-00003G for the SAMSUNG French Door Refrigerator. No matter how hard I try to twist the filter, it will not seat into the receptacle even though it is the correct filter listed in my owners manual. The previous filter is an off brand made by HDX as a replacement for Samsung and it worked fine. The only difference between the two is the locking mechanism on the neck as Kimberly illustrated in her pics and I have attached my own pic as well. I have used SAMSUNG replacement filters before and this is the first time experiencing this problem. This engineering problem needs to be remedied immediately before someone ends up breaking their refrigerator and paying hundreds of dollars in replacement parts or even having to buy a new refrigerator! In the meantime I will return my filter to the store and spend my money on the other brands filter. This is a very poor oversight on SAMSUNGs part!

I had a very bad experience with all of my home appliances. All Samsung especially, fridge and washing machine. I bought all my new house appliances from Samsung just only a year ago and now the washer and fridge are completely broken. Samsung customer service sent to my house a technician who came to fix it 4 times. Each time he said I have to change a certain part of washing machine. He has replaced everything in washer (board - hose - door assembly - filters) and finally he said, It’s manufacturing problem and you have to ask Samsung customer service to replace it or compensate you, but now and after 2 months of suffering with them, they refused and they want to try again to fix it. The customer service said, This is our policy to try many times. I can’t believe myself. It is a bad system for bad company. I do not advise anyone to deal with this deceptive company.

Paid over $5K for the Samsung RF34H9960S4/AA refrigerator, which is supposed to have come with Samsung Elite Service where a technician comes to your house and explains all the features in person and make sure everything was installed and working correctly. After two months of trying to get in touch with someone at Samsung who could set this up for me, I was told that the service is not offered in my area, based on my zip code. I asked if it was available in the zip code where I purchased the product and was again told it is not. I asked if it was available anywhere in the U.S. and was told that the only technician they had listed was in California. I accused them of selling a product and advertising a service that customers like me have paid top dollar for, knowing that it is not offered in most areas of the U.S. They did not offer me any resolution.

This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom shelf. They slide into guides at an angle, straddling two rows and ending up crooked, requiring constant readjustment. Never encountered that before in any dishwasher. Also sometimes this dishwasher doesnt completely clean dishes, especially if food is dried on, say, between fork tines or on a plate rim. Yuck! I’ve been wanting a range with a convection oven for a long time. I finally bought a handsome Samsung glass-top range with a convection oven at Home Depot. The oven is ok...but not anything special. It’s the cooktop that drives me crazy. Put the dial all the way low on the front left burner, and it will burn anything you put on it. Put the dial to low on any of the other four burners, and your food will remain cold. While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher (Model # DW80K705045) in March 2017 from Lowes, after 15 years with a Bosch. Looking back now we should have done our research. We would have seen all the bad reviews. Christmas Eve the dishwasher went into failure mode. “Leak in System”. Within a few days the dishwasher worked again but 3 days later the same thing happened. It took 12 days for a repairman to come and determine the problem. We were told it would be a huge job that required a full day, the dishwasher motor would have to be rebuilt on my kitchen floor, and no guarantees that the repair would work. This repair will require my husband to take a day off from work. Fast forward to 3/20 and we still do not have the part. According to Lowe’s the part has been in for 2 weeks now and we have not been able to schedule a repair. We are unable to use a different repair company because this is the one Lowe’s contracts out to. The dishwasher can only be run with few dishes and on short cycle. We don’t know when it will go out again. Numerous calls to Lowe’s and Samsung have gone nowhere. Neither company will back up the product. Samsung will not replace the dishwasher until 2 attempts to fix it have been made. Lowes won’t offer a refund because we have to go through Warranty service for the first year of owning the product. The Warranty is through Samsung. Totally disgusted and frustrated.

Purchased a Samsung RF25HMEDBSR/AA new a few years ago. Since it was new, the fridge has had an issue where it builds ice blocks up the coils until it freezes the fan in place. The frozen fan and coils results in the fridge failing and food spoiling. Approximately once every three months since this fridge was purchased I have had to take it apart and manually de-ice everything.I reported the issue to Samsung and was set up with a date a service provider was supposed to show up. They never came so I contacted Samsung again and was informed that due to where I live there are no authorized Samsung repair shops. They cancelled my open ticket and told me if I wanted it fixed Id have to contact someone on my own and front the bill. Lessons learned: Do not buy this fridge, it has serious issues with being able to defrost (I should note- I live in northern WI, not an hot and humid climate). I am so upset with SAMSUNG appliances. We purchased a refrigerator Model #RF28HFEDBSR from them in 2014. It worked fine until months ago when we had Samsungs provider One Stop Appliance come and fix it. $330 and a 90 day warranty. At 120 days the same problem occurred so we called the Geek Squad because we purchased it at Best Buy. They came and fixed the exact same problem for another $330. Now we are again about 20 days out of the 90 day warranty and Samsung WONT DO ANYTHING!!Its ridiculous that we have to pay for the same issue to be fixed over and over again. They are supposed to have such good customer service but we are certainly not feeling it. They told me twice they would help but they would charge us AGAIN to fix the same problem for a THIRD time!! Why do they get high ratings??? I dont understand it. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please share! Thanks.

I have had this refrigerator for approximately 1 year, I absolutely love it. I do not know the exact model but it has the freezer on top with an option to change the settings to allow the top to convert from freezer to normal refrigeration which is how I use mine for added space. I never hear it running, absolutely the quietest refrigerator I have ever owned. I have the darker charcoal looking finish, love it.

I bought Samsung refrigerator two years ago. The door shelf broke three times so far. The first two times refrigerator was under warranty so Samsung provided free replacements. This is side by side refrigerator and it has water dispenser. The water is constantly dripping from the water dispenser. Also it has a very slow flow. It also has ice maker, however, whenever you try to get ice, it just spills all over the place because the opening is too wide. Very poor design and quality. Samsung tried to sell extended warranty. I told them when this refrigerator dies I am towing it to landfill and I will never ever buy anything Samsung. This is an extremely low quality refrigerator that was selling for $1800. I also have Samsung microwave. Do I need to tell you that the microwave door broke in less than two years? It was the plastic hinges that are again very brittle. $200 to fix (50% of the original purchase cost). Shame on you Samsung for being cheap and using cheap brittle plastic parts.

We purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator (Model #RF263BEAESR) in March of 2013. What a piece of junk and to add insult to injury... poor customer service from Samsung. The unit does not defrost properly on its own. We have been experiencing ice build up behind the back interior panel of the fridge compartment. The ice builds up to such an amount that the fan blades can be heard scraping the ice build up, which is an unpleasant sound along with the motor groaning at times. In addition, we have been dealing with water leaking from the back panel onto the shelves and inside the bins.Contacted Samsung and they arranged for the only authorized service repair company in our area (40 miles away) to contact me. Set up an appointment with them. On the afternoon of the appointment (while Im sitting at home waiting for them during the time block they arranged) they call to cancel. Then when I try to reschedule they keep offering only morning times which I told them I could not do. I got so frustrated with the whole ordeal I simply told them to forget it. Then when I email Samsung with my frustrations they reply with bunch of B.S. that did nothing to correct the problem or stand behind their product. Now after only being 3 years old, I am replacing this giant piece of crap with a new refrigerator because I am so disgusted with Samsung.Go to YouTube and you will see how to videos on how to attempt to fix Samsung refrigerators with the exact same issues we are having. And there are countless horror stories on ConsumerAffairs.com of people having the same issues with their Samsung fridges. Not to mention in 2010 there was a class action lawsuit against Samsung for the exact same issues with some of their fridges. But yet Samsung has the audacity to tell me they are not aware of any such issues with their refrigerators. Funny how the appliance place we purchased our replacement fridge from no longer carries Samsung. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of Samsung for appliances... Period. They are a piece of junk and the company is horrible to deal with.

We recently purchased a group of samsung appliances at lowes. In new lenox illinois. Within one week the dishwasher flooded our kitchen with water. The lowes corporate claims office approved a company paul davis to tear out the damaged kitchen. They did that and dried out the kitchen after waiting three weeks. The lowes corporate claims handler jill ** approved this work. Then after all was torn out and dried she called us and told us lowes is not covering our damage. This is truly a scam. She said they found a piece of glass in the drain hose. Remember this machine only ran a few times in a week. Well needless to say they will not fix my kitchen. They offered to pay for the litigation and the deductible but I need to use my own insurance! Can anyone help me on how to proceed? Very upset and will never tell anyone to use lowes or Samsung again! If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks.

Our fridge is 1 1/2 years old. The ice maker is not working (slushy cubes with unit freezing up). We did not buy the extended warranty, unfortunately, but it sounds like Samsung service is not great, even for those who do. Researched the issue and found that even by replacing the unit, it is likely to have the problem recur because it is a design flaw. Samsung will not guarantee the $500 repair with a new part will solve the problem beyond 90 days. We will not buy another Samsung product.

I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator RM255LASH from Lowes on Christmas Eve (the only place open with a refrigerator we could take that day). It was the last one and a floor model, but we had no choice. Also, the price was $2,100, which is quite high for a refrigerator but again we had no choice. After three years, the icemaker stopped making ice. We did not do anything about it. Then it started leaking water but again we did not do anything about. I thought it had something to do with the icemaker. Then the freezer stopped freezing. Again, I procrastinated and did not call Samsung. In January of this year, it started making a horrible noise and stopped getting cold. At this point, I contacted Samsung because there are no local appliance repairmen willing to come and look at a Samsung refrigerator. There are no parts available to them. I had someone Samsung recommended to come out and look at it. Its something that should be covered by the five-year warranty. I was assured by two people at Samsung that they would take care of it even though I could not produce a receipt (my Lowes receipt was completely faded). Now after three months of going back and forth between the appliance repair company and Samsung, they said they will not cover it unless I produce a receipt. After reading the many complaints about Samsung refrigerators, it seems to be the norm that they do not last for more than 3-4 years. They are overpriced and inferior products. I would warn people not to buy Samsung because of all of the above and also their poor customer service.

VERY disappointed with Samsung. We purchased all Samsung stainless steel appliances less than 4 years ago. ALL have had continuous problems. Fridge ice maker always jams up with ice and cracked the inside, Back panel of the fridge freezes up causing the fan to stop and have to unthaw entire fridge every time. (Bye bye to all your groceries while it takes all day to warm up). Dishwasher racks now need tie straps to hold them up as the brackets continuously crumble into pieces, and we have had to take off the front panel and fix electrical problems, door seal leaks and dishes are ALWAYS coming out dirty. Tried every brand of soap, jet dry, even rinsed dishes before they go in. We even have the one that is suppose to gar-borate your food, doesnt work! Samsung STOVE: electrical plug melted my toaster cord, glass top cracked on its on, Yes, Im very careful and it didnt have a scratch on it, ON ITS ON, while warming up, it cracked. Im very disappointed and hope NO ONE buys from them. What a waste of money when they cant even make it 4 years. And dont bother phoning into Samsung, They are absolutely no help if you are past 1 year warranty.

Have had this worked on twice and numerous calls to Samsung with NO help from them. Everyone needs to know there is a class action lawsuit regarding this issue. Contacted Best Buy for service and the guy told me they would come fix it but would only be a 50/50 chance the ice maker would be fixed for good because of continuous problems with this ice maker and it could cost up to $500. Now ice maker quit working after 9 months in use and started freezing over and leaking water. Serviceman said to unplug the refrigerator. He would be back in the morning. Called Brandsmart where I purchased the Samsung Refrigerator. Said they have to order the part. Will take 1-2 weeks. I have read all the reviews with some of the same problems. I think a class action law suit is warranted especially since these are design defects from the start. I purchased Samsung TV in the past. Good quality. Running over 5 years with no problem. Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunda
Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunday (8/5/2018). From the moment we plugged it in the display flashes an PC ER code. After some searching online found a fix for it that didn’t fix it (shocker) so Monday morning called Samsung to schedule a service, because I really wasn’t trying to load it back and return to store although in hindsight should’ve done that, tech arrived Tuesday and did the same thing I had already done to try and resolve the problem which I explained to the customer service representatives I spoke with when making the service appointment. One would think since the refrigerator model and serial number plus the problem was told to the representatives the tech they send out would come prepared with what would be needed to fix it... sadly not the case. So 2 days after purchase and a service visit I’m stuck waiting an additional 2-3 for the part that should (but not completely sure) fix the issue. I’ll be calling customer service to cancel everything and just load the piece of junk back up and return it and spend a little more for a more reliable brand. I will definitely not be purchasing any other Samsung home appliances. If you like the hassle of purchasing something and not having it work properly by all means spend the money on Samsung appliances and enjoy the stress and hassle of having to go through a service call on a new product.

As I was getting ready to leave my house, I heard a weird noise. So I walked over to the dishwasher, the door was slightly open, and the dishwasher had turned on all by itself. I hit the power button and it turned off for a second and turned back on. I could not get it to power off. I had to flip the breaker to this equipment. I have had to miss 3 days of work, they tell me AFTER at least a total of 5-6 hours of being on hold, or calling, that this is an extended warranty issue. They have the worst customer experience. This machine is less than 18 months old and has been serviced 3 time and still NOT working. I would highly recommend to anyone in the market for an appliance to stay clear of Samsung, unless you are wanting to spend many days frustrated. This is a still ongoing issue and I have zero confidence that they will actually fix it for me.

After 5 years, we had to repair the water dispenser. At exactly, 5 years and 4 months, the freezer died, 1 week later, the refrigerator died. It is out of warranty and Samsung does not provide any support. In our county, there is no longer a Samsung certified repair shop. No one will even touch it. Samsung finally referred us to A&E factory service, more than 40 miles away. They came out to do the diagnostic today (2 weeks after the freezer failed). The repairs for the broken evaporator are over $700. This was a $1,500 fridge purchased at Best Buy. Samsung has been very disappointing. Over the last 2 years I have purchased 3 Samsung appliances, a microwave, an electric range, and a dishwasher. Each had had quality issues. The microwave runs fine but the door handle completely pulled out of the door. We dont even use it very often. Its 2 years old so I know from my experience with the dishwasher that I wont get any help from Samsung for poor quality. The dishwasher is high end model. The pieces holding the upper rack are plastic and dried out and broke within months following the purchase. The company replaced them once but when it happened a second time - because the plastic once again did not hold up - no replacement because it was outside the warranty date. Really? This is a quality issue and should be fixed completely. For now tie wraps hold up my top dish rack. So much for a $900 dishwasher. Finally the range. It is hit or miss whether it holds the set temperature and doesnt necessarily get to temperature if using one or more burner. Ive had it with Samsung appliances. Never again. The only samsung product I can honestly say Im happy with is my phone. Samsung appliances look nice on the outside but are made of poor quality materials. We have a Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured
We have a Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured in RF263TEAESR. It looks great, nice features, problem is, it was designed without a refrigerant valve to shift cooling between chilled regions, which would allow one side to defrost while the other cools. The lines become blocked with ice, the cooling coils freeze over, cooling becomes more difficult, and the ice builds up to the point where the circulation fan bangs the ice, making a serious noise. We have had the kit put on which is the fix from Samsung. It is designed to shut you up for a couple months and pick up a nice check for their factory authorized dealers. The kit does nothing. The second repair tech came and, for two hours and another $100, tore out the interior back wall, thawed out the lines with hot water, the coils with a heat gun and the vents on the back wall with warm water. He told me it would last no more than a couple months as the insulation gets saturated with water and, rather quickly, everything will refreeze. He was optimistic. Within two weeks it has once again frozen. The fan noise is beginning again and, because Samsung refuses to stand behind their products, this piece of garbage may shortly become the worlds largest paperweight. My advice, STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG products. They have made it obvious standing behind their products is not a priority.

We purchased our dishwasher in April 2016. It has never worked properly. It started out ok but then went down hill. Now its loud and doesnt wash at all. When I open the door the dishes are dirty and the soap is still on the door. I called Lowes and was told they would contact Samsung and I would get a call in two days. NEVER HAPPENED. I called back and Lowes gave me the Samsung direct number. I call Samsung for a repair, was told per my SN and model number that I purchased it in 2015. Wrong. Wasted 10 more days waiting for my receipt from Lowes. I email it to Samsung and call back, they tell me someone will be out the following Tuesday after 3. I leave work early, nobody shows up at 3:30. I call Samsung back, I am told sometimes they run late. I wait til 5:30 and am not happy. Call Samsung back and am given the number for the repair shop. I am pissed. I call the repair shop. I am told that nobody set anything up with them and this is common. Apologies, then I am told that its not covered because I bought it in 2015. NO I DID NOT. Repair shop calls Samsung to verify. Repair shop calls me back and sets up another appt. for the following Monday. I take the day off because they call and ask if I can do it earlier. Thursday, 2 days later, I get a call to set up an appt. and that it wont be covered because I bought in 2015. What? No! Apologies. Two hours later a message on my phone from repair shop, trying to set up an appt. and its not covered... WTF is going on? Monday comes, guy shows up with a big box of parts. Looks confused. Halfway through, two hours have gone by, tells me he needs to go to the store for a hose? Two hours later he has replaced almost every part in my dishwasher. I can hear it filling with water. He seems pleased and after a four hour repair job leaves after telling me to let it run. I do. After a hour I open it up and I see the same soap that was on the door. I gave up. Husband called, they are coming back Friday... OMG! We spend thousands on all new Samsung kitchen appliances and I am scared to death. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Cannot understand what they are saying, dont know what they are doing, cant understand what I am saying and thats Samsung. Repair shop is just as bad! I purchased model# SMH1816S a little over two years ago and it just died on me yesterday. Of course, Samsung was no help because the warranty has expired on it. I am very angry and dissatisfied with Samsung products because they have proven to be crap -- and have a comically short shelf life. This breakdown comes only two months on the heels of my Samsung range breaking down and having to be serviced. All of my products were purchased at the same time (microwave, fridge, range) -- now I can look forward to having costly repair bills into the unforeseeable future. Im dreading the inevitable breakdown of my refrigerator soon. As expensive as Samsung appliances are, I just expected for them to last a lot longer before needing servicing -- say maybe 5-10 years. My previous Kenmore products lasted over 10 years without needing repairs. I will definitely not be purchasing anymore Samsung products! And their customer service sucks -- they should honor their products for a lot longer than 1 year. Oh yeah... they offered me a Protection Plus plan for $288 -- I can buy a new microwave for that price!

In 1st year the refrigerator quit cooling. Took several phone calls to Samsung and about 3 weeks to get them to come and repair it. Lost all the food in the Freezer.A month later have a puddle of water in front of it every morning. Made several calls each more than half hour and nothing is done. Asked them to let me speak to a supervisor but they wont. Totally dissatisfied. No more Samsung ever in my house. If you want to get a good product please DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. You will be sorry.

We have had the unit going on 9 or 10 years. Recently we have had a problem with the bottom freezer compartment freezing up. I have to remove both compartment and wait until the ice that has formed on the bottom area to thaw and remove the ice. Went to local dealer and was told that maybe that maybe the freezer door seal is worn. I inspected the seal and it still look good. Cleaned the seal as suggested yesterday. Now, I will wait and see what happens in the next few days. The setting for the freezer compartment is set a 8 degrees.

We bought a new set of Samsung for the house (wash/dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher). No issues with them except for the dishwasher. The DMT800 is the most expensive Samsung dishwasher, and seems to have a lot of issues in my research. After only three days old, we got Error Code 5E (or SE): blocked line. Then we reset the breakers, unplugged it...made sure no vent line was pinched... Then it worked for three days, before we got Error Code PE.We called Pacific Sales (the retail store), and they will NOT return a dishwasher... NO return policy (after only a week since purchase). They scheduled a repairman in two weeks, and told us to call Samsung to try to get an earlier appointment.Spent a total of 2.5 hours going back and forth with Samsung and Pacific Sales, as you are required by Samsung to perform various steps to resolve the issue (like resetting circuit breaker, unplugging it for 20 minutes, running it empty, running it in sanitize mode...).We were told by the retailer, Pacific Sales, that Samsung repairs are behind schedule (maybe because of their bad dishwashers) and that the earliest appointment is in two weeks! They said to call Samsung directly to try to get them to come out earlier. After over three hours of calls...we are to wait another two days to see when the Earlier Possible appointment may be. The dishwasher went down five days ago, and now we may go two weeks (washing by hand like we did as kids... oh fun!).TIP: Not sure what the cost is for the Extended Warranty, but saw many websites with reviews that it may be worth getting, as you will have guaranteed issues over the first 1.5 years.TIP: Also, does installing yourself void the warranty? They charge $95 for installs... After the first repairman comes, we will only let the repair guys touch it to maintain the warranty.TIP: A common problem is with the racks breaking (top one specifically), so call Samsung immediately if it happens, as you may need to do it a few times before warranty is up.

I have to take the back of the freezer apart every few weeks and defrost the back coils that have thick ice build up. Fan blade hits the ice and makes an unbelievable noise. We cannot use the freezer for food. Will never own another Samsung product.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model 3 RF217ACWP/XAA in November 2013 from Best Buy. 7 months after purchase the crisper drawers began filling up with several inches of water. We called for service and were told not to put food close to the back wall of the refrigerator. We complied (although that certainly reduced the interior space to less than what we thought we were purchasing). Within a few more months, the problem occurred again with water pooling underneath the crisper drawers and inside the left crisper. A second call went out. We expressed concern that this was a recurring problem and our one-year manufacturers warranty was up in November 2014. A Samsung representative suggested we purchase the extended warranty to cover future repairs on the defective refrigerator that Samsung sold us! Today we emptied 10 cups of water from underneath the crisper drawers. I have had it. I will never, ever, ever purchase ANYTHING manufactured by Samsung. The only thing worse than the quality of this refrigerator is the lack of any effective service. My next stop is small claims court unless they take this piece of junk back and return my money!!!!

SAMSUNG DMT800RHB - Multiple repairs from initial start-up. Substandard materials failing prematurely with insurance related home repairs that should fall upon manufacturer defect in engineering. Samsung knew they had engineered failures into this product so to eliminate defect they had safeguards like leak sensors built in. If you have one of these appliances out of warranty I would suggest cutting your losses and buying a different brand. Do not follow Consumers Digest, this was the consumers best buy, top of their reports at the time. If Samsung dishwasher stock is high its not because of quality, but ripping off the consumers.

Samsung has great TVs... That is all!!!! My refrigerator is a Samsung counter depth freezer drawer on the bottom and meat cheese drawer in the middle. 1. In order to change the water filter you need to turn off the water to the fridge; that means pulling it out of the wall pocket every six months minimum.. Joke.. 2. The veggie storage drawers trap food and mold. 3. It is the cheapest refrigerator by far; drawers in freezer come off track all the time.. 4. Freezer is a bottomless pit. 5. It doesnt fit anything.. Be very aware. The dishwasher rinse aid piece broke and the technician said I have to be more gentle.. How about Ive never broken one in my 50 years of buying dishwashers; they usually have a slide door instead of a cheap piece of plastic..The stove, you lean up against it to put something away and the gas goes on and you dont even realize it.. The clothes washing machine traps hair in the drain of the door; constantly removing debris.. Lastly, the dryer worst lint drawer every, you have to pull it out and pry it apart every time to clean it. Stick with TVs SAMSUNG.. Go for GE Profiles or Whirlpool... Stay away from SAMSUNG!!!

We have had the worst experience ever with our Samsung fridge. I was so excited to get it. It was really nice and had lots of room. But from the start it never made much ice. The ice maker kept going out and they sent repairmen out a few times to fix it. We eventually got a new fridge and had the exact same problem. We got this one “repaired” 5 times before they finally admitted it was unfixable and agreed to a refund. The refund process has been a nightmare and we have been dealing with it for 7 weeks now. We have been told different info from different agents. We have been put on hold to be transferred to supervisors and then hung up on. We have been told we would get emails with no contact. It’s been a joke. We were told 2 days ago that the refund was approved and we just need to wait for an email. I called back yesterday and got hung up on 3 different times. I called back today and was told it’s not approved yet and was given MORE excuses as to why. I don’t recommend anyone to EVER buy a Samsung appliance! If you ever have to deal with their customer service or refund department, you will go insane and it’s not worth it. Just don’t waste your money in the first place! I know I never will again.

We just bought this refrigerator in December 2013 and in July (only 7 months later) the refrigerator side stopped cooling. I called customer service on July 26th. They gave suggestions over the phone and told me to wait 24 hrs to see if it worked. It didnt. I was then given a different number to schedule the repair. I waited a week for parts and a tech to come. We went on vacation and came back and found out that the problem was not resolved. I called customer service again on Aug 6th and a resolution specialist contacted the tech and they told me they will contact me the next day to schedule a repair. Aug 9th, no phone call from them. Once again, I called them and now they advise to start the whole process of ordering parts and scheduling the tech to come in who knows when. What a sour experience this has been.

It has literally broken every glass I had. I have to load glasses on the bottom rack to get them clean (somewhat clean). I have contacted Samsung and Teppermans to have this dishwasher replaced. The customer service at Samsung was shocking. The last fellow offered the extended warranty one time service call; however, he was extremely rude during our conversation. When I asked him why he was so rude, he got angry and said, forget it; I am not offering you the one time service. What? In 2010 our old dishwasher refused its duty after nearly 10 years of work. It was an AEG/Whirlpool and it made his work properly. So my wife and I decided to buy a new one. At last we gave the Samsung DW-SG720T a try and expected the same performance. First both of us discovered that nearly every dish was not clean at all. We changed the program to the hottest possible cleaning, but the machine did not meet the minimum requirements for cleaning knifes that are simply covered with peanut butter. This night (!) the machines front door stood open, after cleaning and after nearly 5 (five) hours ending the cleaning program without errors, the machine started to turn on the pump and made a signal while showing OE. My wife and I woke up, got downstairs in the kitchen and I had to turn off the fuse to stop it - it has been 1:20 am in the morning. Thanks a lot, Samsung! OE means overflow error but in fact there is no water in the machine after draining. I am angry about this piece of **. My recommendation is: Samsung? Hands off! I am interested in what the support is trying to tell me. Next time: AEG/Whirlpool, which is the same here in Germany.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2010 from Sears. August 2012 the cooling system stopped working. I knew it was a failed compressor. It took ten days to get a service repairman to come out and replace the compressor. He was from A&E Factory Service. He tried to bill me and I showed him my 5-year warranty. It was resolved. Several months later, the cooling system stopped working. I called Samsung. A& E was scheduled to come out in a week. They never showed up. They had given the tag to Tekniton who when I called denied they had the service tag. I spent 4-5 hours making calls, being put on hold, transferred before finally Samsung sent a repairman out that day. What was the problem? A&E failed to weld the tubing shut properly. The coolant leaked out over time. Once again they tried to bill me. Once again I had to go through channels to clear up. Here it is February 14, 2013. Guess what? My refrigerators cooling system has failed again. I contacted Samsung for a repair. They tried to tell me that I was going to be charged. Once again, I had to remind them I have a 5-year warranty. Now when will this service person show up? How many times will my service tag be passed around? Never will I buy any Samsung product again. I have been a consumer of major appliances for 40 years. I will not buy anything labeled Samsung.

It is impossible to get good service with any kind of results. The technician at the other end keeps you on the phone for hours and wont consent to new parts or agree that there is a problem covered under warranty. Their own authorized repair depot says they can put in a new water pump but wont guarantee it because my dishwasher is 2 farther to the right than is usual. That is, frankly nonsense. Theyve been here twice, then told me to hire a plumber to fix his mess. That cost another $185.00. They cannot diagnose the problem. With all the testing the steam peeled the laminate off my brand new cabinets. This dishwasher is nothing more than a money pit. My regular service man refused to service it saying that Samsung is garbage. No wonder it is so quiet. They may have well have put in a water pistol than that ineffective pump that is in there. I will never buy another Samsung appliance as long as I live. It has never worked. Samsung top freezer RT21M62135R, nominally 21 cubic feet, is fairly capacious. Unfortunately the lighting in the refrigerator section is front mounted and everything in the rear disappears into the shadows - keep a flashlight handy. The freezer also has a light, something my prior refrigerator did not have. I really like the slide and reach shelf for deli type items - very convenient. The door storage is a bit inflexible. I ordered the model without an ice maker, they shipped it to me anyway despite my attempt to stop it, which they ignored (customer service in the US is impossible to contact - they switched me to Indonesia (sic)! (Consider that I bought this model for energy efficiency, then they ship something I do not want - pure waste.) Even though they took the door off, the delivery service still managed to put eight dents in the door - too easy to dent.

Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. Samsung should just stick with cell phones and computers. Their refrigerators are not worth the money or bad reviews. Just stay away!

Microwave is literally 16 days old and it smokes and sparks! So today we started the process of returning this microwave that is a fire hazard. The call process is ridiculous! The first representative who we called said, “Sure return the microwave” and told us to go to the website. Well that wasnt correct as nothing was there so called back second person said we cant return it transferred us to another dept. as the order # isnt there and cant find us. They hung up during the transfer, go figure...call back and they said, “Will give you a person to contact so you can have it looked at, a shop person technician”...Sooo we called the technician office, they said we’re not in the system 18 mins later and they will start a warranty claim. Whatever that means. Here we sit waiting for the technician office to call to set up an appt. We literally just bought this junk and received it on the 16th of August 2018. Weve been in another state for a funeral so we missed the cutoff, go figure. This $200 piece of junk sparks and smokes when you use it. We will now have to drive this junk to a shop to have it looked at because they refuse to return it after 15 days. And I refuse to have this crap plugged into my house to blow up. Then we will hope that the person there doesnt blow up and is component enough to fix it. So bottom line you will need to set a day off to call many departments waiting for someone to call you back but they will refuse to return your product after 15 days even though its defected. Note: there is a place you can call if the item is defected. They will return it for money back at 30 days but only if it was damaged in transit. Dont do what we did. Stay away far away!

I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

Shipping company couldnt deliver, rescheduled 4 times. In the end they said.. they lost a fridge and dont know where it is and when is going to be delivered. Called Samsung - basically Samsung said: We dont care if you cancel order. I cancel my order and I will never buy Samsung again... not a fridge... not a tv... and wont recommend Samsung to any of my friend/Family. Buy something else, NOT SAMSUNG. Order # **
