Samsung Washer Model WA50R5400AV-US Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

Oven knobs are supposed to be pushed in and turned on. They easily wear to where you can turn them easily without depressing them. Knob controller is poor design, cheaply made. Anytime you access the microwave or cabinet above the stove the knobs on stove are turned on incidentally without knowing it. Have burned several things on stove (plastic dishes, towels). Have come in from bedroom or outside several times with house full of smoke. Have contacted SAMSUNG, they referred me to a repair technician I could pay to have fixed. VERY DANGEROUS!! I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN.

We bought the French door refrigerator from Lowe’s in Jan. 2010. This year rust came through the paint around the edges of the ice and water dispenser. I feel like they should have to fix this on a 2000 dollar refrigerator. They apparently painted over the rust in the factory. I want them to send someone to fix this problem. We should not have to pay to have this done.

Microwave oven work as intended so far, equally, cell phone had 5 different models horrible, some over heated, glitches in screen, poor craftsman ship on battery receptacles and 2 TVs just ok. Many glitches, poor sound system and popping noise.

We bought a Samsung side-by-side RS257BARB from Best Buy about six years ago and paid close to $1,300. A couple of days ago, we noticed the freezer was not cold; then yesterday, the fridge side was not cold either. I had a live internet chat with a Samsung rep to no avail. Their authorized repair service center is 35 miles away. I had no choice but to call a local appliance repair service technician to come and take a look. He examined the fridge and told me the compressor went dead and it would cost $800 just for the part alone, might as well get a new fridge. I am very disappointed with this verdict as I hope it would be a minor fix for such a pricey appliance. I remember when we were growing up we had a GE fridge that lasted over twenty some years. The fridges nowadays look great on the outside, but they dont last and customer support is practically nonexistent.

I bought this dishwasher (Samsung DMT800RHS), though my second choice, a little over a year ago. I agree with the other comments I have read in terms of cleaning and the weird smell the dishwasher always has when you open the door. The icing on the cake is that this morning, the main wash pump has failed and I am just out of warranty. Im a single guy and only run the machine every three days or so. Really? This is completely unacceptable and there was no sympathy on the phone with Samsung customer support. Long and short of the story, dont waste $800 on this poorly designed, stinky piece of garbage. Time to switch back to Bosch!

I am use to buying Samsung brand for about 5 year. My friends and family had good experience with the brand Samsung. I recently purchased a house and need appliances. I bought a refrigerator a washer and a gas range. The first two days that I had the washer it wouldnt spin so the store that I bought the washer replace it. Then the fridge had issues so my home warranty cover the issue. My stove range panel doesnt work and it was still under warranty with Samsung. They brought two technicians out to my house and I missed 2 days of work to try to get this resolved. The company Samsung then said that they wont replace. I escalated the issue to a supervisor and the supervisor said, Sorry. They cant do anything. I dont recommend anybody to purchase their products. Its quick to have problems. Will never purchase any of their products ever again and will recommend my friends and family to purchase nothing from Samsung.

In July, I purchased a Samsung range and microwave and took a chance on the dishwasher. What a mistake! Absolute piece of junk! From day one, my husband complained about the racks. There is no light that tells you the dishes are clean, and the dishwasher turns on when youre unloading it. Sears took it back today. Gave me the Bosch for a few $ more. Love the micro and the range. Dont buy their dishwasher!

It was our fault. They wouldnt even send anyone out to look at it, just too easy to say no. We will never purchase anything related to Samsung again. Terrible company. Terrible service. I paid $3,200 for a French Door Samsung refrigerator, and at only seven months old, the stainless steel on the door is having discoloration spots. I called Samsung, and they told me that the warranty does not cover cosmetic issues. How does a company charge that much for an appliance and not cover manufacturing defects...if I had been told this before I bought it, I do not think that I would have purchased a Samsung. Shame on Samsung for selling inferior products at a high price and then leaving the consumer on their own when a new appliance looks like crap!!!

We bought this Samsung oven NE58F9710WS/AA from Lowes. This is our second one. Our first one had the same problem where the oven will not heat back up after we open it to put food in. Samsung refunded our money for the first one after sending out a service tech 3 times. We should NOT have bought another one as this one has the exact same problem. We are now getting the runaround from Samsung. I love all the features of the oven; however, if the oven doesnt reheat or maintain its temperature, the features are pretty much worthless. My wife has spent hours and hours on the phone with Samsung trying to get this resolved and with still without a working oven after a month of phone calls.

Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice
Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but its getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (dont know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

Samsung electric slide-in range. First -- Samsung does not honor its warranties. Second -- in a period of 3 years, the left front burner cause a break in the glass in the same place while boiling water on 8, not high. After pressing Samsung relentlessly and being accused of lying, they finally replaced the top, but with no additional warranty. Their repair people here in Ill, Unique didnt even run diagnostics. Less than one year later the same burner caused the same break with the same configuration as stated above. I was across the room, no I didnt hit the glass and no Im not a liar. Third -- I did manage to set a hot dog on fire using the broiler. I let the fire burn out as trying to fix it would add oxygen and thats not a great idea. It burned out the oven altogether. The oven will no longer work at all. Finally -- as for operation --- If you lean on the control system at all -- say to lift a pot from the back burner, you will likely turn on another burner or turn your oven on or off without knowing it. Great product. So, after spending too much on an inferior product I am now in the position of having to spend even more money to purchase a new oven. One might also consider the battery and glass problems that Samsung has had with their phones. Inferior glass... Inferior sub-contractors (Unique)... Inferior claims dept. Dont do this to yourself.

Just too angry to write right now. I will edit it later. Ice maker is totally junk. The freezer ices over constantly and I have to empty it into a cooler while I remove all the parts of the freezer to scrape and clean them. The slides freeze up as well and it is hard to open. Shortly after that the weatherstripping between the French doors started to tear and so did a part of the gasket on the top of the freezer drawer. I was cleaning the right pull out clear plastic drawer and to get to the spot where things collect, I pressed gently and the whole front broke and fell off ($75 to buy a new one). From the start the customer service has been terrible. At first they had no record of me buying it, and after I scanned and took a picture of it with my phone and sent them in they either said they could not read it or never got it. This went on so long it was passed its warranty. I have never been treated so badly from a company I paid a lot of money to for a fridge and got ZIP! I went through a similar situation with my new Samsung washer that was recalled and I could not get the same replacement so I had to get a smaller size and I was told the soap drawer would have the updated roller bearings and it does not. No response from Samsung or Best Buy for that matter. Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

Eight to ten months ago, I noticed the SE error on my Samsung over the stove microwave. I tried all the advice I found online but nothing worked. I called Samsung to find out what I could do about having it repaired but the microwave was about 18 months old and out of warranty. Blast! The microwave was only 18 months old and now I have to buy a new one. I gave it one more shot and called Samsung again. This time, I spoke to a very nice young gentleman and he came back with, Samsung does extend the warranty for one time repairs, and said he could help me. So he took care of scheduling a repair and after 3 tries of installing a new computer in the microwave, the last one finally worked. So here I am again, just 8 months later back in the same position with no microwave and no Ace in the Hole! Well Im going to give it a shot again and see if maybe my luck will hold out. Life without a microwave is no fun! I will keep you informed.

The refrigerator we currently have is a replacement for the one we originally bought from Samsung. The original refrigerator had a problem with the freezer frosting up thus making it difficult to get the freezer drawer to open completely. After multiple attempts by the Samsung service technicians to resolve the problem Samsung decided to refund our money so we could purchase another refrigerator. Even though the service quality we received on the original refrigerator was terrible we decided to purchase another Samsung refrigerator because of their reputation for producing quality products. I am sorry to say that the replacement Samsung refrigerator is doing exactly the same thing and it is also very noisy. I doubt we will get more than a couple of years out of this refrigerator. I do not think Samsung knows what it is doing when it comes to making quality refrigerators and it definitely needs a tremendous amount of improvement in servicing what they sell. Samsung refrigerators are junk! I will not buy another Samsung product, ever!

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product ever again. BUYER BEWARE. To say I am frustrated and disappointed would be a gross understatement!!! We purchased our Samsung French Door fridge RF31FMEDBSR 3 yrs and 4 months ago. We spent $2200 on it thinking we were buying quality. Boy were we wrong!!! The seal has disintegrated twice, the ice maker works on and off and the shelf on the door came crashing down one morning on my sons foot sending glass jars crashing all over the floor and bruising his foot. I can no longer affix the shelf as the door is torn down to the insulation.I have attempted to get straight answers on this since Dec 21, 2016. I have noted names and dates of people I have spoken to each time. Like many others I was told to contact EEFIX a local authorized repair company to come out and diagnose the problem to the tune of $80. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for that cost once EEFIX uploaded the info on their end. Let the merry-go-round begin.I did everything I was told to do, and all I got was a lot of empty promises and now what seems to be untruths. Fast forward to today, Mr. Derek in Greenville proceeded to tell me that Samsung would do nothing because EEFIX did not leave any documentation. Of course, I called myself, to hear that they couldnt diagnose that the door was defective but broken. HECK!!! I knew that! What did I pay $80 for? Where is my refund? Oh I know Samsung isnt in the business to service just take money for cheap products that they are well aware are having issues. This is my 1st stop, next will be BBB and then small claims court. I will become their worst social media nightmare. All I want is my refund and door fixed.

So, we called costumer service and a staff from the maintenance department checked on it on the 27 July 2011. It cannot be replaced anymore because the tubing has been cut so many times they can’t fix it. So, I cannot put anything in the bottom because it freezes. This Samsung Range model (NE63T8711SG/AA) was purchased in February. Loaded with features as well as the oven compartment having an air fryer and dehydrator. 3 weeks after we purchased the $2000.00 range my wife decided to use the Air Fryer to make wings. The fan in the oven blew grease all over the oven coating the entire enamel surface with grease and the entire house was engulfed in smoke. Took us three days to clean off the caked on grease. Needless to say we will never use the Air Fry feature again. A few days later we tried to make a spaghetti dish. Not wanting to have caked on mess on the bottom we put aluminum in the oven. The oven melted the aluminum and is fused to the enamel surface of the oven. We have tried everything to get it off. Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. Besides this problem we have found that the burner knobs are so touchy that barely bumping them or leaning against the oven slightly will turn the burners on. The burners protrude past the range. Very dangerous! Beware of this oven!

We bought the model # DMT400RHW about 4 years ago. It has no buttons on the front. Just touch sensitive ones on top. Anyways we were so excited to have this dishwasher, I have two little kids (4 & 2) and they wouldnt be able to get into it, etc... However, my family and kids started getting sick a lot more than normal. I took my kids to a homeopathic doctor and discovered my son has an extreme issue with mold and allergies. He was allergic to penicillin, etc... Well, we also noticed the dishwasher didnt smell quite right after using it and couldnt figure out what the deal was. It looked clean inside. I bought dishwasher cleaners and ran those through it. It still smelled. Everyone kept asking us if we had mold in our house that might be making us sick. I scoured the house and could find nothing. Then, I was emptying the dishwasher a couple weeks ago and noticed that there was a bit of black stuff at the bottom of the front door coming out from under the seal. I got a paper towel and when I ran it under the seal and it came away black with mold and smelled like vomit. All this time Ive been washing dishes with that junk! No wonder my family has been so sick! I called the company customer service and they said theyve never had this problem with any of their models ever. I find that hard to believe! My husband says its a faulty design. I agree. If the seal was flush to the door no food and water could get trapped under it. Samsung said I just need to keep cleaning it with vinegar or bleach. Im sorry, but Ive never had to wipe out a dishwasher after every time I use it and I think thats ridiculous! I also dont like the fact that I cannot just do a rinse and dry cycle on this. You have to run it through fully every time. Needless to say we will not ever buy another Samsung again. Their customer service was terrible, even when I talked to a manager. Im over it already and now Im stuck with this faulty dishwasher.:(

We have had a leak in the water everytime you use the crushed ice--cannot get it to stop, now the water works and no ice---I notice this is an ongoing problem with this Samsung RF23HCEDBS/AA Bottom Freezer. I have them coming out to fix this and it is 2 years old so it is out of warranty. I have seen that it may cost up to $600.00 to repair this, well we paid over $2,000 for this fridge and if it costs me that much I will dump it and buy a new one but never again a Samsung! This is very frustrating and when I tell them that this is an ongoing issue based on the reviews all they say from whatever country they are answering from thank you sir. Must be the first thing they teach them in India answering the phone!

I purchased a Samsung stove and Samsung refrigerator on November 25th. The stove was on back order, so I would have to wait until January 7th for delivery. The 7th came and no one showed up. No phone call. Nothing. I call and get their customer service. The delivery has been changed to the 13th because the stove was on back order. They reset the delivery date without contacting me. I told them I could not take delivery on that date and they should have contacted me on what date would be good for me. I made the date for the 15th instead. Today is the 15th and I called early in the morning to make sure they were coming. They again changed the date to the 22th. When I complained to them that they make dates and do not honor them, the customer service operator just said I am just the messenger and there is nothing I can do. I asked for a manager but the manager was too busy and could not talk to me. They would call me back. They never did. I called back and finally got a manager. There was no offer of help. No offering to make this right. They blew me off. I asked them at least deliver the refrigerator but they said if they gave me the refrigerator then my stove order would be cancelled. There was no customer service at this company. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I am sorry I bought this one.

I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and an over the stove microwave 3 years ago. They worked great for about 2 years and then the trouble started. My refrigerator stopped cooling completely. I had a service tech come and he told me it was a manufacturers defect but since it was almost 3 years old, I was out of luck. Mind you, he didnt hesitate to try several times to fix it to the cost of over $700 before he suggested I dont put any more money into it. I tried to get him, as a service tech, to contact Samsung to inform them of the mfg. defect but he failed me on that also. The microwave fan went after about 2 years. It did work but was extremely loud. Then the other night (about 4am) I heard a beeping and the microwave was beeping SE. Now it does not work at all. I had to unplug it to get it to stop beeping. Never again on Samsung appliances. Oh yeah, I also have a range I bought which was Samsung and after 1 year with that, I had to have a burner replaced. Im not at all happy, very disappointed.

We spent a lot of money for this and it hasnt been what we hoped. Removing the protective film was difficult. There are still small pieces of it wedged in various places after three years. The material at the base of the cup holder scuffed within the first month from merely placing a cup to get water. I have been unable to find anything to cover the scuff so that area looks permanently nasty. No children are in this house so it wasnt rough handling that caused the scuffing. The frost free freezer is not. Ice feathers had grown to where I had to unpack everything, wipe it off with towels, allow the freezer to thaw and remove all ice and water and then repack. At that time, I cleaned all of the seals. For three weeks, the freezer was fine, and now it is as bad as it was before with ice feathers. Whenever I remove something from the freezer, ice chunks fall on the floor. I guess I will have to defrost the frost free freezer again.

We have the Family Hub French door with the screen in front. Paid approx $2300. This thing is a piece of garbage. First, they changed the app with no notification so we lost all the things we had programmed including pictures. The ice maker is HORRIBLE!!! So horrible that I have invested in a portable countertop ice maker. Im not sure whats going on with it, but whenever we call for service, were told we have to defrost it before theyll come. How does that show them the issue? The ice and water spills outside the ice bucket and then freezes together. Every few days, it stops making ice. Thats because its clogged with ice and cant work any longer. I have to take a hair dryer to it to defrost all the stuck frozen water and ice cubes. Today I did it, and I noticed there is a ton of mold under the lip of the mouth where the water and ice comes out to the dispenser. Gross. There is no way to get to the mold. Also, ice gets stuck in the dispenser and melts, so it leaks onto the dispenser on the door. I wish I would have taken a picture of the clumped frozen water before I posted this. Piece of garbage. Do not buy!

We bought the top of the line dishwasher. We got it on sale for $900 and we installed it later as we were renovating our kitchen. We purchased the machine and installed it a few months later. And after a while we kept getting an error message, 1E. We researched and it was indicated to recycle the power as we did. And it would be good for a few months, and it would start again. This went on for a while, now warranty is over and we called and they wanted to send a repair man, which I refused. Why should we pay for a call when it is obvious this machine has an issue. This is accurate and fair. Here it goes. I purchased this refrigerator in 2014 from the Home Depot. I also purchased the 5 yr extended warranty (just in case). It all began with them delivering the wrong unit and it also had a hole in the back from a forklift. The delivery company left it in my driveway and drove off and in the process, ran into and wrecked my neighbors picket fence and would not share insurance information for replacement. Yes. HD sent two young men to pick up the fridge without a lift on the back so all of us had to heft this into a high bed truck to remove it. Ended up renting a truck and picking up and installing the new one ourselves. So I have had this refrigerator for 10 months and it stopped cooling in the fridge and the freezer. I want to add that the vegetable storage units do not keep the vegetables for long at all. They go bad after a couple of days. Back to the technicians, 3, yes 3 hours on the computer chat with a (3) tech(s) from Samsung to reset the OFF reading on the digital display. After 3 hours of attempting to reset and do all the bells and whistles to reset, the tech(s) then tell me that the panel is bad and needs a technician to go to the home location and repair it. They said to call Samsung to create a ticket. Ok, also called Asurion who has the warranty. They said they would create a ticket and send me a food loss form. Sent food loss form and then Im told that a reimbursement will not be issued until after the repair? I then call Samsung who tells me that there should be a repair person by Wednesday or Thursday (it is Saturday) and they would create a ticket. Then I called the Home Depot who tells me that if the issue was not solved by Wednesday or Thursday they would send me a check for the fridge or a new one? WTH? Its now Thursday (6 days after fridge quits) and no one knows about the problem or any ticket issued. I snapped. We then start all over. I am then told that it is a simple fix and I would have to pay for the repair? NO, NO, NO. I am then sent to the secondary customer person who then creates ANOTHER repair ticket and tell me that the repair person will call me in about 48 hours or so and cannot even conceivably come until next Tuesday or Wednesday. No we are into 11 days of this issue. So, this Samsung refrigerator has NO repair people in this area and yet they are continuously sold. Now what? I paid over $2,200 (on sale) for this absolute piece of mechanical scrap with the worst customer service ever. NEVER, and I mean NEVER purchase this refrigerator or any Samsung refrigerator, NEVER. Repeat that to yourself.

There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung. All their refrigerators have a problem with freezing up. It is very dangerous for your kids or the elderly because the fridge will run about 40-50 degrees but will say 38 on the temp. So your food could be going bad and you wouldnt know. Im surprised that no one has gotten sick and/or died and taken them to court for the culpability. They clearly know that they have a design flaw. If you look up Samsung refrigerator problems, you will find thousands and thousands of reports. It is a worldwide design flaw. I am surprised that they are not providing a fix to customers. They wanted $200 to fix it. They are a bunch of dishonest crooks. I wont buy another Samsung product in my lifetime.

I bought this refrigerator/freezer, Model # RF26XAEPN43FE4BZ100091T, in latter part of March or early April 2010. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Thanksgiving evening. I had to rent a refrigerator to store all of my leftover food. Plus the other items I had in the refrigerator. It was under warranty. The repairman didnt come until the next week. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. Silly me I thought that they were going to cover the $125.00 for the tech. I proceeded to question the person that I was talking to. He kept putting me on hold, because he could not answer my questions.I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. The phone person told me someone higher up will contact me. The odds of that happening are less than one out of a trillion. My icemaker does not work. The door freezes; I stopped messing with it. I just wanted to vent my frustration, so now I have. I will never buy another Samsung product. I have been unable to locate my receipt; I bought the product at Lowes in Newport News, VA.

We purchased our refrigerator July 3, 2012 from Lowes. 5 years to the date it quit working over night, woke up the next morning and all my food in top part refrigerator was spoiled and bottom freezer was thawed. Called repairman to come out and take a look at it, about all he had to say was to unplug it and waituntil tomorrow morning it should cool down and start working again. The repairman at the house for 5 minutes and 75.00 dollar for the service call to tell me to unplug it. It did cool down and started working, restock the refrigerator. But 7 days later it went down again. We unplug again but still not working so, once again we had to deal with spoiled and lost food. The consumer are right. Samsung Refrigerator is a piece of crap. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.

Our 3 year old Samsung side-by-side with all the bells and whistles stopped cooling, both freezer and refrig side. After dealing with the noise created by freezing up inside freezing and fan hitting the ice, we learned to defrost it for a while then it worked. But now, after turning back on after defrosting a FROST FREE unit, the whole thing stopped working. Called Samsung and was told no warranty left on this appliance. Their repair company would take several days to come out, so I had my own repair person come look at it. They replaced several things, then came to the conclusion it was the compressor. This person even went online and discovered that there was supposed to be a 5 year warranty on the compressor that no one at Samsung told me about. I called back to Samsung to complain that I was technically deceived by not being told about the warranty. They said Too bad my technician had voided that warranty by trying to fix the thing and they would not honor any part of warranty. I am furious! I spoke with the highest department I could get to in Samsung with no success. I even asked for a CEO or someone like that who would listen to my complaint: Nothing. Now In stuck with a 300 pound paperweight~ wonder if it worth putting a new compressor in it since nearly everything else has been replaced? Dont Buy Samsung Appliances!!

Re: Samsung Double door fridge Model # BS22HDHPNSR/AA Serial 067143AF301211J bought in 2015. This fridge constantly gave us problems and totally stopped working 4 times with total loss of frozen food and perishable items. When Samsung customer service was called they suggested pressing some buttons and tell them if we heard a whirring noise! We did that and it worked on 3 occasions! In December 2017 it happened again and when called they said it was out of Warranty and we should not call them again! We went to Lowes to buy a new fridge and the appliance guy told us that the sealed unit including the compressor in our Samsung Fridge has a Five year warranty. On calling Samsung they now agreed that the sealed unit and compressor indeed had a warranty for 5 years and directed us to contact their service center Lakes Electronics, 2101 W. Atlantic Blvd #108, Pompano Beach, FL. 33069.They sent their technician on 11/10/2017 who confirmed that the compressor is locked (Error 84E) and charged us $99.00 for his visit. He asked us for the original receipt which We could not provide as a lot of paperwork was damaged and lost in the Hurricane! We contacted the Manager at Lakes Electronics who confirmed that without the receipt they cannot repair though the compressor and sealed unit was still under a 5 year warranty as Samsung had not paid them for work done without a receipt in the past! We then contacted Samsung and after much cajoling We were given a one time parts and labor ticket valid for one week only. A repair was scheduled but as the compressor did not arrive on time, the ticket was cancelled. After the holidays We were asked to call Samsung again for a new ticket valid for 7 days and a repair was scheduled, but cancelled again as compressor had not arrived. Finally, when the compressor had arrived a repair was performed in our home on 01/25/2018. We were made to sign a work completed sheet by the technician who said that you should start using it from next morning! Lo and Behold, come Morning and both the Freezer and the Refrigerator compartments showed a higher than room temperature!!! We contacted Lakes Electronics and were told that as We had signed the work completed sheet they cannot come back to check unless We get a new Ticket from Samsung. This time Samsung customer representative told us that our unit was not under warranty anymore. When asked to be directed to her Senior who reluctantly agreed to talk to us. We requested that Samsung should do any one of the following: 1) Arrange for their service center to pick it up and do a complete and Satisfactory repair before returning it to us. 2) Give us a replacement for their defective item. 3) Arrange a refund. Neither of the above options were accepted but a New one week one time repair ticket was issued and the technician again came on 01/29/2017. He confirmed in his notes that both sides were not cooling and the compressor was making a loud noise. He asked for advice from Samsung tech department if a replacement should be done but this was summarily rejected and he was asked to change the Condenser and purge all the gas (?Freon) and flush it with Nitrogen. As he did not have either Nitrogen or a replacement condenser a new appointment was scheduled for 02/01/2018. A Nitrogen flush was performed and We were shown that it was working to his satisfaction and that We ought to sign the work completed form again. We refused to sign and asked him to wait for 24 hours before signing the work completed form. After 2 days i.e today the fridge is dead again and all the frozen food including expensive Salmon Lox purchased over the weekend is rotting! WE HAVE INCURRED A LOSS OF AT LEAST $4000 IN DAMAGED AND LOST PERISHABLE ITEMS, long hours waiting for proper if never a prompt response! Marital discord as the wife wanted me to dump the Samsung fridge and all the other Samsung products in the house and replace them with preferably American made products!

This has to be one of the worst refrigerators (Samsung 28.5 capacity, French door with freezer below) ever made. The ice maker would make ice sporadically. Sometimes there was enough ice to get through a day. Most of the time we had to rely on trays of ice that we purchased separately out of frustration. The shelves that hung on the doors were so poorly designed that they often broke off which caused many disasters with broken condiments and such. I know the shelving problem is not isolated to our refrigerator. A friend had the same model and every one of his shelves were also broken. Currently my shelving is patched together with tons of duct tape. Now to make things worse only 7 years old and the compressors has stopped working. I would caution anyone who is considering a Samsung refrigerator to reconsider.

Purchased RF217ACPN Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy on July 2011. Nice looking model and would have been great if it lived up to its advertising and promises. Little over a year, then after warranty of course, the refrigerator was not working right. Water accumulated in and under crisper bins. Then eventually loud rotating noise which found out later was the cooling fan. For an energy efficient appliance, I now spend 24 hrs defrosting, packing food in coolers, (still lose some foods) every two months. The WORSE refrigerator ever. I tell anyone I see looking at them in a store and hopefully stop them from wasting money. A class action law suit was filed back in 2011, yet they continue to sell these faulty designed refrigerators ripping off American citizens... Why is this still happening? We purchased the Samsung refrigerator with french doors and icemaker in 2015. By 2018 the icemaker was constantly freezing up and had to be thawed, only to be frozen again in 10-14 days. It is now worthless, as the tray will not even fit into the icemaker casing. This is a known issue with this style refrigerator, yet Samsung is doing nothing. The repairs are way too expensive and even after several service calls and attempts to fix it, they still dont work. Do not purchase this style of Samsung refrigerator because you will encounter many problems with it. Maybe not at first, but give it time. Shame on Samsung for selling such a horrible appliance. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the service provider will call me. Samsung tried calling and no luck left message. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. No one has showed up so I called Samsung back again to find out there is only one AUTHORIZED company in the area SA Display. So now I have escalated this because I cant get my ice maker fixed. By reading everyones reviews there is an obvious issue with this model number. So I am still waiting on someone from the escalation department to call me back on how they are going to service this ice maker issue. So not only have I waited 2 weeks to resolution I now have to wait ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me. We purchased our Samsung RF32MWDBSR at HHGREG on 10/12/2014, in Fort Wayne Indiana, am I thankful we purchased the 5 years warranty, never planned to have to use a warranty on such an expensive item but for weather considerations on a $2749.00 model you will consider. I paid an additional $449.99 for 5 yrs warranty to which is SLOW AND SLOWER to have repairs done. This is my 3rd complaint and according to their 3 complaints and Ill replace it with a NEW ONE I am waiting to see. I am not happy with this model. It has had so far, our first repair was on 7/23/2015 when compressor 66A and 34 A went out. E23/ Cond Fan error & Main PCB FAILURE. All this occurred the 1st time, then it would not cool equally as said to be in manual. We called in 2nd complaint they refused to send a repair man out. They made issue to call the other warranty program and give us the runaround. We called the other and nothing happened, then after 6 months they finally issued a check for loss of food for $200 which didnt even come close to all we lost two times. The refrigerator still has a flood of issues they wont fix. I have again just today decided to call in again and ask for a ticket order, all automated, with a 999-999-9999 number to call. Its a joke!! I put in for now a third service call because freezer ice maker is dead for 3 months cause they lost my last service ticket AGAIN... oh my! Well all I can say is Samsung offers no help whatsoever, on this faulty model and have no plans to help their customers who have a 5 yr warranty out either. I would love to sue them! It is beyond a recall when their product cant run for more than 8 months between major repairs. THEY LIE ABOUT WARRANTY CALL INSURANCE. They do not stand behind their product. PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE!

Never pulled Dishwasher out from Cabinet. 2nd Company came out found a bad hose on Dishwasher that was a Samsung Part. Dishwasher is only 6 months old & hose has a hole in it. Took a week to get parts and had to raise the roof for Service or it would have been another week for repair. Been on the phone with Samsung so much and took off work until I could have bought another Dishwasher!!!!

We have had this fridge for almost 18 months. We bought it from Best Buy along with a 5-year warranty. When Best Buy delivered it all 3 doors had massive dents in them. They brought new ones within a few days. The ice maker has spewed ice chips no matter what size/shape the glass you use or where you hold it under the dispenser, ice goes all over the floor. The ice maker makes so much noise in the process of making ice that it makes a crashing sound. The right side door doesnt stay open!!! The wonderful techs at Best Buy have been out at least 5 times to repair both, along with sending new parts, etc. and it is just the same as before they tried anything new. This is a defective appliance and NO ON CARES!!! The go through the motions to honor the warranty and now there is nothing they can do. Samsung is even more worthless. How can two large companies be allowed to continually rip people off with products and services that dont work properly? Are there longer morals and truth in business? Who do we have to stand up for all of us collectively? Where is accountability?

Bought this new side by side bottom freezer Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago and it has been nothing but headaches ever since. Ice maker has quit and been replaced three times, water leaks into the bottom of refrigerator. Ice maker freezes up. Have called for service while under warranty and got nowhere, told me the temp was not low enough or door left open which neither ever happened. I got all excuses until my warranty was up. This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought and will never buy or suggest to anyone to buy a Samsung product again, whether it be appliance, or musical equipment, or phones or anything with Samsung name on it.

Samsung has a design flaw and all of their 7933 model dishwashers. They refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. The top basket and spray arm assembly inserts into the bank of the dishwasher to get water. The rubber washer rubs against a hard plastic jet. It rubs until it’s worn out. The basket will push away from the nozzle and the water will not ever get to the spray arm. Hundreds of thousands of units are designed to fail and consumers will think they are not using the right detergent or rinse aid or some suchlike thing. The glasses on the top rack do not get clean because no water sprays to wash them. Samsung refuses to even admit there may be a problem. I know, Ive spent 4 hours on the phone.

We bought a $2500 digital four-door refrigerator from Samsung (model RM255LASH-XAA; serial number 40504043EP100202-Z) through Lowes four years ago. Not a year later, we had trouble with the ice-maker. Luckily, it’s under warranty and we had a tech out to replace it. Again, the same thing happened a year later. This year, 2012, we noticed a leak underneath which caused a puddle on the floor beneath the refrigerator. It’s out of warranty. We called a technician ($100). After extensive search, we found out that it was the defrosting system. It was not working and we needed a new complete defrosting system ($500) as Samsung didn’t replace the heating part alone. We will manually have to defrost it ourselves in the future, which is ridiculous (back to the stone age). We did not want to put a dime more into such an expensive appliance. We will not trust Samsung again for purchasing.

I had it serviced for replacement of upper spray arm, but no improvement. Im ditching it and buying a new one after reading all of these reviews from owners with the identical complaint. It is humiliating for a guest to see those specks of food all over the glasses and dishes. I always scrub my dishes down - the food specks are coming from the water in the dishwasher somehow. DO NOT LET YOUR WORST ENEMY buy one of these pieces of junk. OH, and the cycles run FOREVER - Plan on letting it run all afternoon before your dishes are ready so you can use them for dinner!!

Samsung SMH9187 Microwave with SE error - Pro tip: Take a picture of the SE
Samsung SMH9187 Microwave with SE error - Pro tip: Take a picture of the SE error displayed on your microwave if you plan to try to get Samsung to repair it. About two weeks ago, our microwave displayed the SE error code and began to beep every 15 minutes or so. I looked online for suggestions, and one of the first was to unplug the microwave and see if it resets. That made sense to me; most of us have encountered the occasional electronic gremlin. Unfortunately, I didnt think to take a picture of the SE error first. Ill explain later why that matters.Unplugging the microwave for a few minutes and plugging it in again, got rid of the SE error. Unfortunately, the microwave would then turn on by itself and attempt to cook an imaginary baked potato. It was like a ghost was pushing the baked potato button. I assume there is such a button, the display would read BAKED POTATO and the microwave would run. Not a good situation. We unplugged the microwave. I then researched further, and found that this is not an uncommon problem and a number of people were successfully getting this model of microwave with the SE error repaired free of charge.I called Samsung and related my story. I was given options for repair, each of which would cost me more money than I wanted to spend. When I countered that I had read Samsung was fixing the SE error, I was told that was true BUT I NO LONGER HAD THE SE ERROR. The customer service rep said I now had a different problem, the imaginary baked potato cooking problem. Frustrating. She then said perhaps I could plug my microwave in again and the SE error would return - worth a try. She gave me an issue ticket number for future use. I plugged the microwave in, and after stopping and clearing some baked potato cooking sessions, and a few hours of silence, the SE code reappeared. Success, in a manner of speaking, I took several pictures of the display showing the SE code.I called Samsung again. I gave them my ticket number, explained that I again had the SE code, and asked that they repair my microwave. They said okay immediately, but emphasized my consent that if the issue was something other than the SE error, it would cost me. I said fine, and explained I had pictures of the SE error to show the repair tech even if the microwave did not display the SE error when he arrived - which was the case. The tech came this morning and repaired the microwave this morning. Yes, I had to go through some hassle, but Samsung repaired my nearly four year old microwave at their expense. Thats pretty nice. (They repaired a more than four year old TV for me too, but thats another story.)

Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon afte
Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon after. After calling Sears out to repair they diagnosed it as the sealed refrigerator system stopped working. This was covered by Samsungs factory warranty, (covered for 5 years). After contacting Samsung they had 3 techs come out over the course of 3 weeks trying to repair it. They could not and said we would receive a new unit in 48 hours. After no contact in 48 hrs. I called and they had to do the paperwork. After calling several times for updates. They decided to refund our money because they did not have the same unit. It has been over a month since the unit stopped working. We are now waiting for our refund. They say it takes between 7 to 14 days but the Samsung Reps. say thats not true. They wait the full 14 days to refund the money. So if your fridge stops working please check your Warranty that comes with the fridge even if you dont have a store warranty. The warranty information is in your refrigerator manual. The number for Samsung is on the back of the manual or your decal inside of your fridge.

The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locke
The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locker room, even when it was empty. It was installed by Home Depot. I re-routed the drain hose higher to keep water from the disposal from back-flowing into the dishwasher, which I assume has no back flow prevention valve, given the amount of water left in the sump after running. No change. Ive owned and installed many, many dishwashers and never had an odor problem, even when they were full of dirty dishes. We bought a second home home with brand new Samsung appliances. A Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. We have issues with every one of them! Poor design and poor engineering is consistent throughout the entire line. I wouldnt even recommend them to my worst enemy! The seller paid $500 for a transferable extended warranty. It took him 3 months of constantly calling Samsung and hours of arguing to finally get the warranty transferred! So, if you have an issue with a Samsung appliance, well, good luck.In addition to the constant horrible smell, the dish racks are very poorly laid out and waste a lot of space. Good luck trying to fit 12 place settings into this. It does a poor job of removing coffee stains from cups. The upper rack has only 2 height settings. On the higher one even small saucers hit the very useless top cutlery rack. On the lower setting you run the risk of the washer arm hitting any moderately tall dishes or pans, which causes food to stick to the dishes.I am speculating that the smell is caused by incomplete draining. There is filter that needs constant cleaning, but even keeping it clean doesnt prevent the smell. There is a sump under the filter where water pools, but that should be clean water? But many other dishwashers leave some water in the bottom and do not have this horrible smell. And, at this price point, the dishwasher should have a food grinder instead of a filter that needs constant cleaning! Again, poor design and engineering! The dishwasher is very quiet, and if you set it up within the confines of the poor design and engineering, it will usually get things fairly clean. But you can find many, many other dishwashers for much less money that will do a much better job every time, and smell fine even with a load of dirty dishes. Dont fall in love with the pretty face! Buy something that works!!!!

Purchased my Samsung range from Lowes April 4, 2016. It was delivered on April 9, 2016 and installed that same day. April 9, 2017 - Exactly 1 year since install (but according to Samsung, out of warranty), I used the self-cleaning feature. Within 2 hrs (the cycle was set for 3), the front display panel went black, and oven stayed locked. After trying to submit a warranty claim, and finding out I was 5 days past the warranty, I called a repair company. The repairman told me never use the self-cleaning option as this happens all the time, it causes some temperature sensor to fail and can burn out control boards as well. Lucky for me he was able to disable the oven lock. Again something he says they cant always do and then the door has to be replaced as well.My previous range was a much more expensive DACOR and I used the self-cleaning feature all the time. The only reason I had to replace the range was because I dropped something on the glass top and the replacement glass was no longer available because the range was 16 YEARS old! According to the repairman its the way the newer ranges, like this Samsung, are now made and he told me again not to use this feature. Why buy a self-cleaning stove and cant use it??? I have had the repairman out twice (as he thought it may be the boards) and Im now waiting for the temperature sensor to come so he can install. I will never buy another Samsung product again (and should have learned when I replaced my Bosch dishwasher with a Samsung dishwasher and is also failed during the first year, replacing a 16-year-old dishwasher as well).

My gas stove NX583GOVBSR was fabricated in Oct. 2013. In Nov. 2015 the stove stopped working. It appears the control panel is the problem as the burners still work. If I try to set the oven to bake, the control panel starts making loud syncopated sounds and flashing lights. And it keeps doing this until I turn off the power at the circuit breaker. The Samsung customer service person has no idea what is causing this and will only send a tech for $100 plus parts. I stopped at Sears and they said the control panel may need to be replaced for $450 plus installation. Sears encouraged me to buy a new stove for $1700. The stove came with my house when I purchased it Nov. 2015 so it may have been broken before that. Previous owner did not purchase the service warranty. Last gas stove I had lasted over 15 years! Did not go through cycle, dishes dirty and not dry. 3 visits from authorized repair, 2 after warranty expired. Repairman installed new improved sensor. Finally agreed to refund, but now claimed unit had to be depreciated. Then came the totally outrageous part: to get refund, consumer must cut power cord purchased separately with the unit (no refund for that), take a picture of cut cord. Then, consumer must remove decal attached to door, affix it to refund request, and send it to company. Decal could not be removed - took a photo of it next to cord. Not enough! Told to use a straight razor, no exceptions! It still doesnt come off. Imagine giving this advice to an 80 year old with a tremor? This company needs a major overhaul. Policies designed for maximum profit and will not honor warranty for defective product.
