Samsung Washer Model WA54R7600AC Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

The repairman has been to our house at least twice now. After he came to fix the ice maker it stopped working just after his warranty for the work done that day. Today Im looking for a new fridge and hoping they will take this p. o. s. in on trade because I know I wont get close to the price I paid if I sell it outright. It is not worth the stress to hang onto it. Never been so disappointed with a fridge. I cannot clean the outside water stains. The repairman said theres a product that will work but didnt know the name of it. The door seal is so thin that it had a worn spot. He didnt recommend replacing that. Its only 3 years old. My order number and receipt are on file here from my first review- to verify legitimacy.

RFG297AA/XAA - My wife purchased this fridge from Lowes 03/09/2009. We had a problem of water pooling and freezing the deli tray to freezer. I finally removed back panel to take a look at frozen coil. There is a drain so I am not sure why water is draining to interior of fridge. After reading comments this is definitely a common problem for Samsung fridges, but when speaking with customer service they do not seem to have any knowledge of problem.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

I bought many Samsung products in the past, and they are all registered with them. I liked the induction stoves safety and fast cooking, but the reliability is poor! This unit Model # NE595NOPBSR/AA Ser# JOW87DDC501585M was bought on 05/27/13. First breakdown occurred 08/21/13 front left burner defective. Second occurred 07/15/14 Bad inverter. Third was a bad display code E-84 06/29/15! The Samsung company stated they had extended the warranty after the second repair, and could not do any more. We bought the French door refrigerator from Lowe’s in Jan. 2010. This year rust came through the paint around the edges of the ice and water dispenser. I feel like they should have to fix this on a 2000 dollar refrigerator. They apparently painted over the rust in the factory. I want them to send someone to fix this problem. We should not have to pay to have this done.

We purchased Stainless steel kitchen appliances in 2016 and have nothing but issues. Bought an extended warranty and even they refuse to repair anymore. Refrigerator - stop making ice, didnt cool properly, buildup of ice under deli tray, door handle came off of freezer drawer. Microwave - not warm properly, some of features not working. Dishwasher - will not drain water proper or wash dishes efficiently (dirty after an entire cycle, motor keeps running). I have contacted them. They only guarantee a year like most. Thats why we got the extended warranty. Never experience such repairs. Its only been 3 yrs. Something is wrong with this picture. I have spoken to them and they have washed their hands. Even the warranty service man told me that they were bad manufacturers and that they get calls all the time back to back for same issues. Please YouTube the models before purchasing. We are out of $4000 basically. I filed a complaint with BBB. They need to stick with cellphones.

Just purchased a Samsung RF28HFEDTSG refrigerator a week ago. Simply want to say that all Samsung refrigerators are shipped with a screw hole that is drilled into the appearance surface of the top of unit to store cord during shipping. They delivered and left hole exposed to dust and humidity. If you want holes drilled into your refrigerator and left exposed then purchase a Samsung. If you want a fridge without holes buy any other brand. From store purchased, Samsung hotline and Samsung regional representative no one offers reasons for their holey refrigerators. Samsung stinks.

Ice maker had frozen up so I removed the ice device and let it thaw out. When I returned the device to the freezer it would not make ice anymore! I reviewed the manual, I shut off the electricity for a while, etc. Nothing worked. My wife, who keeps all manuals for equipment said, heres their phone number. It took about five minutes of the customer service person to suggest we re-boot the unit by pressing a previously unknown button on the back inside wall. We got ice cubes again! Everybody needs a wife like mine and a customer service department as good as Samsung.

Bought a side by side refrigerator RS25J500DSR 17 days ago. After waiting the 24 hours for the ice to make, it was evident that there was a problem. The refrigerator only serves two people and one of them is gone most of the day. Its bin has only gotten filled more than a quarter of the way one time when we were out of town for 4 days. We only fill our glasses 1/4 way with ice in an effort not to be without ice entirely. Reported problem to Samsung and a tech called back. Had me to do the tests described in the video then he told me the ice maker was working fine and he was closing my file but would call me the next day to see if resetting it had helped. The next day, no call. Refrigerator was not bothered for 4 hrs. and the bin had approximately 30 pieces of ice. So the next day called Samsung again. Was again told they would send out a repairman. Today, was called by Tech. He stated that he was trained by the engineer and the ice maker in this refrigerator only makes 6 pieces of ice every 90 minutes - 2 hours. A total of 70 pieces of ice in a 24 hr. period. It is not designed to provide very much ice. I cant imagine that anyone would buy a refrigerator and not rely on it for daily ice. He also stated that the bin is not suppose to fill up more than 1/4 way full. Again they have refused to send anyone out because they know their ice maker is practically worthless. I wish I had seen these complaints before I bought it. I did look at the rating for this product and since it had a high rating I thought I would be pleased. However, this is the worst purchase I have made in 60 years. I dont ever plan to buy anything that is Samsung again.

We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

BUYERS BEWARE!! The worst experience involving the Samsung dishwasher DW80H9 series. First year the top rack was not functioning properly. The fix was use zip ties to stabilize, this was from a Samsung tech. Second year continually got the E7 error code, replaced the spray arm motor and assembly. Third year, same E7 code and replaced same parts again, but I had to wait 2-1/2 months to get the correct part. This year is the fourth year, guess what, same error code. Today I canceled all extended warranties, this company needs to remove their products from the consumer base and start over again. The Samsung Protection Plus warranty system is a joke also, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. If I can change a handful of peoples minds to purchase a different manufacturers product, my job is done. Please be aware that Samsungs appliances are pretty and your kitchen looks awesome, but not functional and you will be spending your valuable time on the phone for hours for repair. Please take heed!!!

Come out cubes and crushed together, water works sporadically. Repairman been here twice, still not repaired. Water filter leaked, flooded kitchen floor. Apparently you have to move the refrigerator out and turn water off at back each time you change filter (never had another refrigerator that required that). Purchased this top of the line double oven stove from Lowes South location in June, 2017. On February 21st dropped a glass cover from a casserole. A short height (3) from the stove top resulting in the glass top shattering. The stove was still under complete warranty and nowhere did it indicate in the manual that glass tops were excluded in the warranty. Phoned Samsung and followed their instructions as to taking photos of the damage and when speaking with them we got the impression that everything would be repaired. As soon as Samsung received the photos they responded very quickly that it was excluded under the warranty. Nowhere on the warranty was there such a disclaimer. We will never buy another Samsung product again. We would not recommended this company as they do not stand behind their warranty.

I have experienced the same complaint everyone who owns a Samsung microwave seems to have - the SE error code. I contacted Samsung and it took four chat sessions and an angry phone call to have a service person come out. I was told the control panel would be replaced, no charge on epidemic warranty; servicing agency knows nothing about it. I was told I would have to pay for the control box if it needs replacement. It seems like Samsung is well aware of this major problem, but has chosen to do nothing until your unit fails - and it will. Then they horse you around for days to get it serviced. I have lots of Samsung products with no problems, but this microwave has totally destroyed my Samsung vision. It is just an out and out piece of crap. The ventilation system sucks, which I believe is the cause of the SE code because moisture builds up in the control panel. If I have to replace, I guarantee it will not be with another Samsung.

I spent over $400 to have back panel, evaporator and fan piece replaced. The tech advised that he does the repair often and it is a known quality issue. When I called Samsung service, I was told 1) they have no complaints filed in their database on this model and 2) I probably was keeping too much food in it. Unbelievable!

Hello, we purchased the Samsung 30.5 CuFt French Door Refrigerator Stainles
Hello, we purchased the Samsung 30.5 CuFt French Door Refrigerator Stainless Steel Model Number RF31FMESBSR in June 2013. It looks like there is some manufacturing defect as we see the water leakage and rust on the backside of the refrigerator. Thus anyone else is facing similar issues? We had 1-year manufacturer warranty and 60 months protection plan from Home Depot; however, in this specific issue it was a little difficult to notice the problem since it was on the backside of the refrigerator and as you know how many people go and look at the backside of the refrigerator once its install. As per the Samsung service company, other consumers also had similar issues. However, Samsung is not taking any actions to resolve the issue citing the refrigerator is out of warranty.

First of all the vegetable draws very difficult to remove for cleaning. My 4 door unit is only 6 years old...and of course its out of warranty. The refrigerator part is forming ice and keeping a temperature of 50, where I have it set to 37. Will not deal with Home serve. They wanted 80 to walk in the door and another 80 for travel expenses. Live in Staten Island NY and they are coming from New Jersey...are you kidding. I told them where to go. Called an outside repair, which I have used before and now its the fan underneath the unit. And the repair is going to be expensive. DONT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG...EVER. I am just disgusted. I also have rust spots forming on the door of the freezer section and Samsung said its not covered. Really.

I purchased 4 Samsung kitchen appliances August 1, 2014 when I moved into my retirement home. Since that time - within the first 18 months, my microwave had 4 service calls. Gratefully, I maintained my Home Warranty protection that was provided for the home and have renewed that warranty annually. The home warranty company ORHP - sent appliance technicians out and a Samsung certified technician who could not repair the microwave. Eventually, after 3 weeks they replaced the microwave with a Samsung upgraded unit. It is still working 2 years later. Now the refrigerator icemaker freezes up and I have to use a hair dryer monthly to defrost the ice build up in the icemaker box. The refrigerator is a French door model that has a flipper on the left door which locks in place that door when closing. It also broke. After reviewing some online videos, I ordered a small tension spring for $8 + shipping, popped the flipper bar apart, replaced the tension spring, and fixed the issue. Now, in September 2018, my dishwasher has broke not allowing the door to close and lock. The repair part is available and easily replaced so I had the home warranty company send out a tech who replaced the part on 9/12/18. On 9/23/18 after loading dishwasher after a BBQ with friends, the same problem re-appeared. To top that off, I recorded the dishwasher while in the rinsing and drying cycle so the tech can hear hit. I re-played the recording for my wife and daughter who thought I went to an airport and recorded a jet taking off or landing...the noise decibel level is high...My Samsung 5 burner stove - I find that the grates are not really safe and worry when the grandkids are at the home. When you put a frying pan or pot on the grates - they wobble until you position them just right. They are not made with enough cross members to support smaller pots or frying pans. On more than one occasion, I put an 8 frying pan on the grate to fry eggs and the pan just flops downward until the handle touches the stove or countertop. You need to counterbalance the pan with the eggs and position carefully. I am negotiating selling my 4 appliances to a relative to place into one of her rental homes and buying a completely different brand.

Since its been used the twin cool has froze food in fridge section, even set at 38. Display has gone dead and more. Multiple repairs with no results. Samsung does not do their own repairs and you wait weeks for repair. We have spent no less than 24 hours on the phone with no results! They say they will buy it back, we wont hold our breath! Now I am attempting to re-install the parts and use the refrigerator. The unit had heated up the refrigerator and I had to throw away lots of food. That this is an issue with no Samsung support or bulletin is criminal. That the salespeople at stores continue to sell these units with no mention or discussion of problems when asked about the units is also criminal.

We purchased our Samsung Model RS261M Side by Side Refrigerator in May of 2010. By August of 2013, it quit, after leaving the smell of burnt electrical components. We purchased it from Sears, so we called Sears to repair it. The Sears repair person stated that the main circuit board failed, which would be a minimum of $400 to replace, and that likely it would need other sensors or motors. He stated that the Samsung 26 CF refrigerator is infamous for poor quality and reliability. He stated that the compressors go out often and that many times Freon leaks out of the system, in areas behind the cabinet that makes it impossible to repair. He recommended against the repair and advised us to purchase a Kenmore brand. I called Samsung Customer Service. They said that they would call me back in two days to talk to me. Very poorly made product. Refrigerators are known as durable goods that are designed to last 10 years or more. This Samsung lasted 3 years 3 months and 19 days, one third of the industry standard.

Purchased this dishwasher in Sept 2013 while building a house. It was installed in April 2014. In August I noticed that it was not draining and periodically the lights blinked when trying to run it and I couldnt make the choice I wanted. The Smart Auto or Delicate cycle. Also my dishes were not clean or dry. I finally called Samsung in October and was told it was out of warranty because of my purchase date but if I could prove when it was installed they would provide service. Instead I called Home Depot where I purchased it and they replaced it for me because Samsung is hard to deal with. Wonderful! In February problems started again only this time the machine would turn on by itself. And again I had dirty dishes and it wouldnt drain. Samsung arranged service this time. Service tech told me not to use a rinse agent because it makes the sensors sticky and that is why it wont drain properly. But, he didnt believe me when I said it would start by itself. It starts an hour after doing dishes and even in the middle of the night. I have it on video. Apparently we are crazy people. DO NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT!!! This one is being replaced as soon as I can make arrangements.

We purchased a suite of samsung appliances to upgrade our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance. After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again...

Water and ice are in the door and the water filter is at waist level for easy changing. I think the refrigerator was thoughtfully designed to serve almost any need for food storage, easy access and easy cleaning. The only thing I might change is the amount of ice that this fridge makes, but that is a trade off for the slim design of the ice maker, allowing more door storage. I love this refrigerator! Samsung French Door Refrigerator - Model # RF263BEAESR/AA - BEWARE ----> BAD PRODUCT & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ----> SAMSUNG. $2,000 refrigerator with ice maker that has not worked properly since day one. Samsung warranty repaired twice in first year. Ice maker would work for a week or two then frost up and leak water on inside, collect then leak out doors making a mess all over floor. After several frustrating calls to Samsungs resolution department I received another service call outside of warranty (1 year) to replace several parts and defrost element. This did not fix the problem and ice maker frosted up a couple weeks later. Requested service AGAIN and waited 1 month without a response. Finally was told Samsung would not repair or service further and I should contact a service center to pay for another repair. Note: Service techs both told me the icemakers are a HUGE PROBLEM for Samsung. What a freaking joke! Samsung is making a piece of crap and is failing to support and/or correct this. Since the purchase, within a week I started calling for service. They replaced the display, ice maker, main control board, evaporator fan twice while it was in warranty. Since the warranty ran out in the past year I have replaced the evaporator fan and have had to remove and defrost the coils in the refrigerator twice and open the drain in the pan on the freezer side. Right now I have the icemaker pulled out and the water turned off. It kept putting water in the ice maker but wasnt dumping ice. Ice built up inside the freezer like a glacier. So I called Samsung Chat!! They claimed they are unaware of any of these issues on their website! DUH! Anyways they claim they have filed a report and will get back with me. Well see! In November 2011, our family purchased a counter depth Samsung Refrigerator, Model #RSG257AARS. Shortly after purchasing the refrigerator, the exterior door above the ice maker had a small divot. Originally, it appeared like someone in our family dinged it with a hard object. However, over the next year, the problem continued, and both doors are covered in small divots from the door handles to the top of the refrigerator. This is definitely a manufacturing defect. According to the representative from Samsung, the warranty was only good for one year, and Samsung refuses to stand behind their product stating this is not a recall issue. This was a large investment for our family, and we are extremely disappointed that Samsung will not support its customers and products. We would like to share this experience so other consumers can make an educated choice before making their purchase.

It would not start and displayed a new code leak sensor. I took the dishwasher apart again, but did not see any water. I made sure that the sensor was dry and put the machine back together. In September 2009, I purchased the whole 9 yards of Samsung. I purchased the microwave over the oven, the oven, the dishwasher and the refrigerator - costing me a total of $6000... Last year, I replaced the microwave, and I learned my lesson and purchased the extended warranty. The only OTHER issue I had which is MAJOR and a reason for me to probably bring my business elsewhere, as I will never say never buy Samsung again, is my refrigerator RF266ABRS, 26 cu ft stainless steel French door with the bottom freezer. The first problem I had with the freezer was within the first year I had purchased it - the ice maker was not making ice into cubes but into chunks. They had the technician fix it in no time. Then in March 2013, the freezer was giving us a negative reading of -2; however, when I unplugged the freezer and plugged it back in, it then said 34 degrees. No wonder all my food thawed out and ice was melted. So we called. Samsung said if it’s a sealed system issue, then it will be covered. They set up a transaction number with Va Electronics, who called me and said I had to pay $125 for diagnostics. After kicking my feet, I finally paid, as they could care less. I spoke with the technician as he stated, there is a slow leak causing only my fridge to be cool but not enough to cool the freezer. I asked if the leak should happen again. He said it shouldnt for another 3 years, so okay...I went about my business for 95 days until I opened the freezer to notice all the food had thawed out again!!! So I called Samsung. You name it. I’ve spoken with them, from Krishonda, Boris to Allison. You name it. I’ve spoken to them and every department. Yes, they gave me the roundabout... Hahaha... I was beyond frustrated; I was in tears and handed the phone off to my husband and told him to speak with them. As I was going back and forth with Samsung and Va Electronics, both saying two completely different things and saying, well, ask Samsung and ask Va Electronics... Eventually, someone needs to own up to this defective product that we, as consumers, are initially paying anywhere from $1900 to $3000 to begin with. It makes you think twice when it is time to purchase a new one. Overall, the experience I am dealing with Samsung and Va electronics is leaving a bad taste in my mouth, but it makes me grateful to know that, compared to their customer service, I am like a GOD at what I do. Thanks for doing a bad job. :)

Bought Samsung 28.5 cu. ft. French Door Fridge (spent $2500) in Aug, 2010 from Sears. After 4 1/2 years, it broke (no longer cool in fridge and cold in freezer). Asked Sears repairman to come (inspection costs $85) and said the compressor has to be replaced. Control board may also need to be replaced which costs another few hundreds. Samsung only covers the compressor parts but not labor. Estimated costs for labor is close to $500. It is totally rip-off and the worst experience for buying appliances. Never buy Samsung again for their unreliable products. Where do I start? We purchased this refrigerator (4 Door Model RF23J9011SR) at the end of Dec. 2016. Within 7 months we had problems with the ice maker inside the refrigerator. No ice would dispense, all frozen up inside. Samsung replaced all of the ice maker parts except the cube box. Well it worked long enough to get past its warranty, then it failed again. The second time I could not even pull the ice maker drawer out. As it turns out the parts they replace were the old style original ones that were defective. He replaced all of the parts with the new Samsung updated parts, at a cost of 328 dollars to me. I paid then called Samsung. After almost an hour on the phone they agreed to give me a one time warranty extension. While the second tech was here I told him that the refrigerator seemed warm, and the thermometer I had in it said 48 degrees... Clearly not 34 like stated on the door display. He tried to tell me that my new refrigerator thermometer was not accurate (brand new, only days old) and that I had a tear in the door seal. I would call it a small slice. He said it wasn’t cooling because the tear (less than 3/8 of an inch) was letting warm air in. It needed a new door seal, Ok. I said, Replace it. Then he said he had to order it and come out in a couple days. Came out, put the new seal on the refrigerator, still was at 48-50 degrees. It wasn’t the problem. Called again for service. Tech came out, spent almost two hours here trying to figure out why the top refrigerator wasnt getting cold. Turned out the compressor and all of the Freon lines are bad, they all needed replacing. He informed me it was a 3 hour job and that another tech would be out in 2 days.I still have no upper refrigerator. The whole process has reached week three. I called Samsung and demanded a new refrigerator replacement...they said no (no surprise) and that I had to have the tech do the compressor and Freon line repairs. Because the parts had been ordered, the guy just left 10 mins. ago. Keep in mind that my refrigerator isn’t even two years old... Wow I sure am excited about its future and what I can expect. In closing...DONT EVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! It’s like an Edsel. It looked good but wasn’t all that great of a car. What you read online is true, they are JUNK!!! Samsung customer service is a joke all yes and good and feel real sorry for you. They have heard it all before and could really care less once the great one warranty has expired. Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Fridge is 23 months old. Started making a loud racket when opening door, stops then when door closed starts up again. Drive one nuts as really really loud. Then it stopped after a few hours of off and on. Suddenly the temps on front (digital readouts) started flashing? Book said pull power plug, wait ten minutes, then plug back in. Did so, and the temps just climbed up...was up to 69 degrees F in Fridge and up in Freezer as well. Left it sit for a while, called Samsung Cust. service (if you can call it that). They asked a few questions and then said, Oh, you have a ONE year warranty, sorry. I said WHOA --- there is three years on SOME parts and TEN YEARS on compressor. Do YOU know exactly what is wrong? They then said, wait one minute --- then came back and said, WE HAVE NO ONE IN YOUR AREA THAT IS A SAMSUNG REP. --- so sorry, you may want to call your own repair person (response came via e mail). I drove eight miles to HOME DEPOT where we bought the fridge (for nearly two thousand dollars) and the woman there got on the phone to Samsung on my behalf. After a long wait, she was told I would be getting a call in the next TWO days to schedule a tech to look at the refrigerator. So far, no call. All of a sudden, the fridge began to cool OK again... Maybe sounds like a computer board??? Still waiting for a call. I would never buy another Samsung, after getting the comments from the southern gal at Customer Service. I did finally speak to a supervisor (Shawn) who said, Oh, we have a guy that can check it out north of you... and gave me his number. I called the number --- voice said, the voicemail box for this number is FULL -- good bye. Whole episode is a JOKE and I have spent two + hours on the phone PLUS driving to Home Depot. STAY CLEAR. We replaced all of our kitchen appliances in 2014 with Samsung products including a fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. This has turned out to be an expensive mistake. The 1 year warranty covered the first year of problems. Since then we have had to spend hundreds of dollars to keep them running.

My husband and I purchased a side by side refrigerator from this company less than 4 years ago. The Motherboard has went on this refrigerator twice, we had it replace less than 7 months ago and now it has to be replaced again. This refrigerator is the biggest piece of junk ever. If you buy a product from this company dont expect them to stand behind their products whatsoever. They offer no help or solutions. I will never, ever buy a Samsung product again in my lifetime. If any of you out there are thinking about it please do not purchase their products. Shame on them for making this kind of a product and not standing behind it. It will now be my mission in life to make sure everyone knows about this company. I am not just starting here, I will be going much further with all of this. This company does not care at all about its customers and I think everyone should know this before purchasing anything from them again.

We purchased a Samsung glass top stove. Yesterday, as a saucepan simmered on the front, left burner the glass over the right rear burner exploded. I had purchased an extended warranty at the time of purchase, so I contacted HH Gregg. The service people came but could not say why the glass broke, so they ordered a new glass top. Since they found nothing wrong with the stove, is it going to happen again. It was fortunate - no one was injured.

Own a Samsung SMH9187ST microwave. In part picked from a Consumer Report rating. Thoroughly disappointed. Has been nothing but trouble. First the rack that came with the unit, caused an arcing/burning inside the unit - had to throw the rack out. Then the Magnetron failed (wouldnt heat), after much arguing with Samsung, they finally sent someone to replace it. Then had another issue with the unit functioning (of course just past the 1 year warranty part); had to replace the sensors at the door (my cost). Then we get the SE error - the remedies online dont work, so, only solution to replace the entire control panel?? This is an extremely poor design. SAMSUNG should not have sold this design. Third appliance of theirs that has been a major disappointment. I will never buy SAMSUNG again.

I purchased a Samsung DMT300 dishwasher last year. Shortly after I bought it, it started to smell horrible. No matter how I tried to clean it or adjust the drain hose, it still stinks. It smells like sour milk and rotten food. It hardly cleans the dishes even on the longest cycle with the Sanitize button pressed. All our glasses are covered with food particles. It is absolutely disgusting! We pre-rinse and run it almost everyday. I HATE this dishwasher!!! My cheap builders grade Whirlpool was 1000 times better. This is my worst purchase ever!

I have a 9 year old two door fridge, which when working is a great design. I find it hard to get a repair person to resolve a long-term noise in the fan. I now resort to using my hair-dryer blowing into the vents and this seems to de-ice the fan and hence the noise abates for a few months. Also sometimes the water dispenser decides not to dispense water... ugh! I am frustrated but these items cost a bomb, so I havent replaced it yet.

We bought this DW80F600UTS dishwasher in Feb. 2014 from Home Depot. Since then we are having problems with this unit. After about 2 months the unit stopped working and we called Samsung and the technician came and did not do anything. I called Samsung again and this time they changed all a lot of parts and sensors. I told Samsung that this unit is faulty and needs replacement. After fixing this issue after a couple of months the dishwasher stopped working again and would stop without completing the cycle. Once again the technician came and fixed the issue. Now after the warranty was over we had another issue the OE error code. This time Samsung refused to pay labor. In spite of several calls and long waiting for three weeks Samsung did not even bother to respond. This DW is a piece of garbage and please do not buy this. Even Samsung does not want to stand behind their own product.

In 2011 we purchased a Samsung model # DMT800RHS dishwasher. It required 2 service calls within the 1st year: once because we had to keep flipping the breaker to get it to turn on and once for a problem with the control panel. The racks are held together with plastic clips. The top rack has two positions. After only 2 years, many of the plastic clips are broken, and now the rack will not stay in the up position. One of the rungs (which is also held together with plastic clips) will not stay in the upright position because of the broken clips. We also purchased an electric range and French door refrigerator. We have had one service call on the range. So far the only appliance that has not needed service is the refrigerator. I would not recommend Samsung appliances at all. And I will absolutely never purchase a Samsung again.

The repair company called, they had received an email from Samsung regarding my washing machine! I told them it was a microwave. They said call Samsung back and get the correct info sent to them. I called Samsung. In our conversation I was unable to give them the serial no. It is placed on the inside of the microwave where you clean and subsequently had been scrubbed off. Samsung said that voids the warranty. They will not cover the microwave. Incompetent to place a sticker on an inside wall. I emailed the sales receipt to no avail. Three years ago we purchased brand new Samsung appliances for our remodeled kitchen. BIG MISTAKE! Within 2 1/2 years both ice makers in the refrigerator (model RF323TEDDBSR) stopped working. After 3 repair visits and a 6 week wait for parts to arrive, we paid nearly $400 to have the bottom freezer repaired. It would cost several hundred dollars more to repair the top freezer so we declined to do this. Today, our Samsung electric range (model NE59J7850) overheated and broke. Dishwasher DW80F600 Series Serial # B00AG9MF106456D - We purchased this dishwasher 13 months ago for $800 at Lowes. It stopped draining the water last August, so we had it repaired under warranty. The technician they sent out installed all new parts on the machine. It worked well until last night when the problem reoccurred. When I pulled the machine out to find the serial number, I noticed that the frame was badly cracked on both sides. The cracks emanated from holes that were drilled in the bottom front of the frame. Having studied metallurgy, this is called stress crack corrosion, and is normally caused by a vibration. I called technical support and they told us that since the machine was one month out of warranty that they could send out a technician to repair it for $309.00 (including tax), and that they would also extend the warranty for another year at this price. After reading the reviews on this series, we opted to discard it and purchase a model that was not a Samsung.

We purchased a side by side Samsung refrigerator and it started freezing on the bottom half of the refrigerator and in the back. I called and they replaced the heater on the refrigerator side. Six months later, same thing happened. They replaced it again and guess what, less than 6 months later, same thing. It cannot be replaced anymore because the tubing has been cut so many times they can’t fix it. So, I cannot put anything in the bottom because it freezes. I have pulled the drawers out and I keep everything in an old Kenmore refrigerator out in the garage. I can only keep certain things in the Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product. We can’t afford to go buy another refrigerator. I tell everyone not to buy a Samsung refrigerator. Something should be done because too many people are having problems with their product.

We have had MANY issues with our Samsung refrigerator that is LESS than 5 yrs old and cost OVER $3000!! Over the past year, the fan and refrigeration coils behind the back panel FREQUENTLY ice up, causing the fan to stop cooling the fridge, and therefore spoiling all the food. We then have to move any salvageable food into coolers to allow the fridge to completely defrost. This happens every month or so, since the issues began, and we are not alone by any means if you research reviews on the web.It is model RF28HFEDBSR/AA with French Doors, icemaker/water dispenser and a Bottom Freezer. BUYER BEWARE. Samsung does not assume ANY responsibility for their faulty products, hence the class action lawsuit in USA which started in 2010, and the internet is FULL of angry, disappointed consumers with the exact same stories. Samsungs service bulletin regarding the issue recommends replacing more parts, but at your own expense, and without evidence of even resolving the issues to consumers satisfaction. I would strongly advise steering clear of any Samsung refrigerator, and plan to boycott them myself in any future purchases!!

Our household consists of two adults. In August 2015, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher Model DW80J7550US for approximately $820 from the local Home Depot. It worked OK for six months, then would stop running toward the end of the cycle and display Error Code 3C: Pump Operation Check. At this point in the cycle, the water would stop draining out of the machine and just sit in the bottom of it. We restarted the machine at least 8 times, after resetting it by turning off the breaker, unplugging, etc. Nothing changed. We contacted Samsung, which sent a Samsung technician out to repair what was thought to be a defective pump. However, when the tech removed the machine from its installation site, the problem was a cracked frame in the front left corner (see attached photo), which put the whole door and sensors out of alignment, causing the error code. He wrote on the service form, Frame damaged. Not repairable. We observed this machine when it was delivered, and there was no damage to the frame. Nor was it damaged during installation. In searching, I believe, on this site, there was at least one other reviewer, who had this same problem. The materials and workmanship of this dishwasher frame are so poor and defective, that after six months of light/normal usage, the vibration of the machine causes the frame to crumble/crack. We contacted Home Depot to request that we be able to return it to the store where we bought it and get full credit to exchange for another dishwasher--non-Samsung. Home Depot says they are trying to get the technician to indicate that the damage was not caused by the consumer, but, rather, is due to faulty materials, so that Samsung will credit HD for the defective machine. The process, from what we can see, is moving very, very slowly. Like others, we were bit by falling for the name Samsung, assuming that the quality of the machine was high. So, after paying over $800 for a dishwasher that functioned only six months, due to poor manufacturing, we may be forced to buy another brand, from another dealer, if HD will not stand behind the quality of the products they sell. If HD does not take the Samsung back and allow us to exchange for a different brand, our confidence in ever purchasing anything again from HD will be totally gone. By the way, in the last year, with extensive remodeling of a new house, we have spent somewhere of $100K at HD. The least they could do, to keep us as a customer, would be to exchange the machine for us. Also, from what I have seen of the Samsung reviews, they should stop selling Samsung dishwashers completely.

Like everyone else posting here, I bought a Samsung Over the Range Microwav
Like everyone else posting here, I bought a Samsung Over the Range Microwave. At the time, Consumer Reports thought it was the best buy in microwaves. Last time I bother to read Consumer Reports. My Samsung isnt even 2 years old; but of course, no longer under warranty and it stopped working. I get weird symbols appearing on the panel, then SE, then a row of 6s and beeping. My husband tried to do what other people having this problem have reported doing on the internet. Unplugged it for a day, tried resetting the key pad. The bottom line is the keypad is flawed and even if he can coax the microwave to work for a short time, it ultimately quits working again. My husband went online to purchase a replacement keypad from Sears. Sears discontinued the part. I guess they dont want to be mixed up in this mess. I dont blame them. I called Samsung and good luck. They could care less about making good on a clearly flawed design/part. They told me they could arrange a repairman to come to fix it at my expense. I am not throwing away more of my money trying to fix this piece of junk. Samsung obviously wont stand behind their products.Time to buy another microwave; it took a lightning strike to kill my first GE microwave of 20+ years. I am headed back to the GE showroom. This was the first Samsung product I have ever bought and it will be the last. I really hope that they recorded my conversation with their representative on the phone today. Maybe when the company goes bankrupt, they will figure out in retrospect why! They deserve to go bankrupt.P.S. I saw another disgruntled customer has posted a video on YouTube about his microwaves bizarre behavior. He has the same model as mine and his microwave is doing the same thing that mine is doing. Watch the video and weep. Fight with your wallet and dont buy Samsung products!

I bought a French Door, 2 drawer blue stainless Samsung refrigerator Model
I bought a French Door, 2 drawer blue stainless Samsung refrigerator Model # RF25HMEDBSG 19 months ago. The icemaker started freezing up immediately after the 12 month warranty expired. I have deiced the icemaker 4 times in the last seven months. This week the fan in the back started making noise because it was rubbing on an ice buildup in the coils. This isnt what I expected when I laid out $ 2,088 for what I thought was a quality product. I didnt think I would need an extended warranty to cover the first three years. Wrong!! I looked at a YouTube video which saved me a service call which would have cost about $300 from Dish. What I learned was that there is a way to do a manual defrost for the coils that is not in the Users Manual. Empty your refrigerator. On my model, press the top item on the left side of the display which is Freezer and the middle item on the right side which is Lighting and hold for 12 seconds. It will go through a series of displays and stop on the last which is FD for Fast Defrost. This activates the heating elements to defrost the coils. It beeps for 30 or 40 minutes then stops which I assume means that the defrost is complete. I carefully defrosted the icemaker with a heat gun on low from a distance. That was 3 days ago and I have icemaker ice and no fan noise. We shall see how long it holds up. The YouTube showed an older model but by pressing the SAME LOCATIONS on the display twelve seconds, FF came up and he had to press a function three or four times until the Fast Defrost FD started. Use at your own discretion. I hope this saves you some repair $$.

We purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances in Nov 2014. Our dishwasher is accumulating mold and the smell was awful. I called Samsung as we have owned plenty of dishwashers (Whirlpool, Frigidaire) and never had this problem. The customer service said that I should be running empty cycles with a special soap once a month. I told them we have run an empty cycle periodically but to have this bad of a smell in such a short amount of time is horrible. I also know someone with a Samsung dishwasher who has the same problem. They told me they would send out a technician but if the technician said it was due to me not following the maintenance guidelines I’d be responsible for the bill. I declined because I know THEIR technician would probably say its my fault. Very disappointed. So now we are stuck with a dishwasher we dont want. We definitely would never buy a Samsung dishwasher again and this horrible customer service would make us think twice about a Samsung anything (We have a lot of Samsung in our home currently). We purchased a 3 door, 26 CU.Ft. French door Samsung refrigerator with an indoor water dispenser in November of 2012. Approximately a year and a half after the purchase, our refrigerator started making strange noises and there was water spilling out. We contacted Samsung and later had a technician from Best Buy come out and diagnose the refrigerator. Luckily he was able to repair it - he explained that the refrigerator had to be defrosted as the coils had frozen over. Since then, every five to six months we have had to defrost our refrigerator to keep it working. Ice builds up and the cooling element fails. We now keep a close eye on the fridge. The first time it froze over we lost food. Since then we have moved quick to defrost it before it appears to be running warm. But we do worry about the regular cooling in light of this problem. At bottom, this is not what we expected from our purchase. We bought a brand new refrigerator and have not received the quality we expected.

(2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again. My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a clip. Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Recently we converted our less than six month old our entire upgraded GE kitchen appliances to Samsung Black Stainless Steel at roughly $6,500. In spite of the cost we have always had success with the product brand including TVs, cell phones, tablets, appliances you name if Samsung makes it we buy it. However the dishwashers has been less than acceptable not to mention most disappointing. Besides being noisy theres always standing water after a complete cycle. If unattended the odor of spoiled or soiled smelling water its all but unbearable. No problem. We contacted the local Samsung authorized technician to make a house call and repairs or adjustment. After a half hour he said everything was in working order and the accumulation of the standing water was normal... I quote its needed to prime the pump... That of course is BS!First thing when you start the washer is WATER! Subsequently and after filing a complaint with customer service which I might add are nothing more than pimple face robots sitting in front of computers that reply from canned presentations. Eventually and after some persistence our complaint was sent to another department and after waiting three or so weeks we get a call back saying they are sending us a complete refund. Once again my faith is restored with Samsung; but its not to be! After a few more weeks the promised call back never came so we reached out to their customer service and once again we got a runaround with the pending refund. But today we get a call from the department that makes the final decision telling us it was a mistake and the problem is considered maintenance not covered under their normal warranty... Mind you we are talking about a product that was less than three weeks old. Their (CR) mannerism with a response was being read not communicated like in a normal conversation; most disappointing to say the least. The CR kept repeating the same verbiage word for word over and over several times. Before I wrote this review I did some research and discovered besides Samsung - Bosch and Whirlpool they share this common problem. Their recommendation is adding vinegar and lemon juice in the dishwasher or you can buy a cleaner/chemical specific for dishwashers to control odors; expect to pay around $12-$13. So Samsung potential dishwashers buyers beware!
