Samsung Washer Model WF50R8500AV Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

I bought this for my 2yr old Rottweiler, Tika. She loves watching Animal Planet, but I don't feel comfortable sharing the one located in our grand cinema room anymore since she growled at me aggressively when I tried to change the channel last time. They say compromise is the secret to any relationship ( including your pets), so the solution was actually really really simple: purchase the same TV again for her room. As a satisfied customer, I can now safely watch my football and my dog can continue to discover her true roots, and how humankind has bread her species over generations into a docile commodity you can put a leash on and assign a name to. Overall, it's a great TV. I was seriously considering a Christie projector at first, but the cost of ownership was a little too high for me (e.g. bulbs and maintenance).

Dont buy Samsung Ranges. I brought the chef collection 30 last year and within two months had to exchange it for another. After four technicians later and new computer boards, they finally replaced it with a new one. The range would go on by itself and the only way to shut it off was the main switch in the basement. So far so good until one day I was making a sandwich for lunch and heard this loud cracking. I didnt know where it was coming from so that night when I started dinner I realized it was the cooktop that cracked. I wasnt using it, the range was off. This is most bizarre. How can this happen? Well I looked up on this consumer site and apparently Im not the first person. So theres got to be a defect right? Maybe a recall is in order. When I called Samsung they said they would extend my warranty but I needed a tech to come out to make sure it wasnt caused by physical damage. Okay a tech came out and clearly wrote that it was not caused by physical damage and reported that to Samsung. I called them to see what happens next and they claim I need a second opinion and more pictures. They forwarded more pics and Samsung said it was caused by physical damage and I wasnt covered by the warranty. I asked a customer relations person who can I talk to that can help me. She said an executive customer service person, but they only have outgoing calls, you will have to wait until they call you. That person called me today and left a message and told me according to the pictures it was physical damage. So I guess they are calling me a liar. Im not done with them yet, but they are the lowest of the low companies that screw people right and left. Their customer service is full of abrasive people that will not help me. They only have outgoing calls. What in the hell is that? Ive had two of their ranges in 15 months and Im sorry I ever bought one. Terrible company. I bought this item at Best Buy 8/17/2015.

I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove
I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

Go on YouTube and you will find a multitude of complaints about the ice maker of this model. Samsung gave us a run around on leveling the refrigerator. I have leveled it from every conceivable spot, adjusted the front so the wheels are off the ground per their instructions and I now have to manually defrost the ice maker every 7-10 days. It used to be every 3 weeks but has deteriorated. I defrosted it November 1st 2019 and had to defrost it again today November 10th 2019. From the number of complaints there should be a general recall of this poorly designed and engineered product.

WARNING!!! DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG PRODUCT!!! I purchased an electric range, side by side fridge and a dishwasher from Lowes in 2009. I have had problems with all of them! I have had to go rounds with customer service (they are horrible) with still no resolution. EVEN WORSE my stove caught fire from a faulty switchboard the day of my daughters open house! My stove no longer works and there was damage done to my wall and floor... My husband and I have been trying to get Samsung to take responsibility for the damages that their review board admitted was caused by their faulty product! WHY is there no recall on the stove??? It is a safety hazard and Im not the only one who has had a Samsung stove/ product catch fire!

We have had this Samsung refrigerator for 3 years now and the ice maker has given us problems from the get-go. It freezes over and stops making ice and we need to break the ice down constantly. It drips water into the fridge and then freezes under the deli drawer and drips down the left side to the floor outside of the unit. A bin has already cracked and I have it packed taped and the inside pull drawer in the freezer has come apart as well. Not a good purchase at all.

I tried to one of their authorized repair people, by the time he got to me he was no longer associated with them. He said the problem was a short in the electrical wiring and he does not fix that.I went back to Samsung. They agreed to pay for any parts and sent me to another supposedly authorized repair person. That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he he not have even credit to do the work and they would find someone else.Today I got a call and email stating that Samsung would no longer help me because they have no authorized repair person available to help me. Basically I was told luck lady. Dont buy any Samsung products. They have a very bad warranty and it is impossible to find an authorized repair service. Purchased the state of the art Samsung French door refrigerator with all the bells and whistles available. The first 6 months, the motherboard had to be replaced. Within the 1st year, the ice machine and freezer unit iced up so bad we could not get the drawers out of the unit without breaking them. Design flaws is all I read about and Samsung has absolutely NO one that will help. I purchased extended 5 year warranty and thought this was a bit expensive, however, it turned out to be the best thing in my deal as they have spent several thousand dollars in repair services that far exceed the cost of the unit. Now, the problems continue as we have to unplug the unit every month to chip out the ice on the freezer unit, defrost to room temp, and then restart the unit to get another 30 days of use out of it. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG unless you want to experience the worst experience of your life.

We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator on June 28, 2012. Only a few days after purchase, spots began showing on the stainless steel doors. I called Samsung and read their suggestions online, which was to use a stainless steel cleaner as well as WD 40, but nothing removed the spots. They grew worse until the entire door was covered. I have been completing service requests with Samsung for three months now. Samsung canceled the first two requests and finally sent a Samsung service company to look at our fridge. The service company said they have never seen it before, and that it was most likely a finish defect. Instead of taking care of the issue, Samsung is refusing to replace the doors, stating that it was a cosmetic issue. As you can see by the picture, it is a serious issue on this $2600 piece of crap that Samsung refuses to repair. I own four Samsung TVs and other items, but I will never buy another Samsung product. Who else has this issue?

I purchased a Samsung double door refrigerator about 2 yrs back. From day 1 of purchase it is not working well - does not cool, there is water puddle formation in front of the refrigerator (it is supposed to refrost type). Despite getting a Samsung technician and having it repaired twice still the problem is persisting. I even paid Rs 300-400 both times for the repair even though it is under warranty. I even offered to ship it at my own cost back to Samsung and forget about it and would like to buy another refrigerator from another company that is more reliable and responsive. I suggest to all Indians never to buy a Samsung product in their lifetime. Samsung is most cheating company I came across.

I have always been a fan of SAMSUNG products, so when I was gifted with a refrigerator I decided to upgrade my other appliances to SAMSUNG during Christmas of 2020. Installation was very quick. Trust me when I say SAMSUNG did not disappoint. My range is an electric ceramic top with convection model. It bakes very nicely and the cooktop cooks nice and evenly. Although it seems as though the bottom drawer is not as deep as my other range, it seems as though the inside of the oven was a little bigger. In regard to appearance, although stainless steel seems to be the rage right now, I opted for white and it is just as sleek and attractive. It is easy to use, easy to clean and I could see myself purchasing SAMSUNG appliances again!

Oh, my gosh. 28cf French Door, luckily with a five-year extended warranty. After less than 2 years, plastic crisper drawers cracked. Since we just moved in, there was minimal items in drawers. They said it was normal wear and tear. Original owner was 85 years old, for goodness sakes. Last year, ice maker froze, was replaced, and froze again. Christmas 2018, whole back wall was all ice. Tech had to stream it to melt. Had to come back with part. Oops. Had to come back again with more parts because back wall was cracked. Samsung claimed it was cosmetic damage. I would not settle for that. Customer service is horrible! The extended warranty company did not want to cover cosmetic damage. I sent a full backup package, with a timeline, to our AG Consumer office and filed a complaint. Shortly after that, I received a check for the purchase price as a warranty buy out. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG!

It reads as a freezer error and requires a technician to visit. So you have to wait 24 hours to find out if there is or isnt an issue to report. You cant reach anyone except online after 5 or on the weekends. So if your fridge goes down Friday at 5 you are at the mercy of a Tyler on the Samsung website who says the same thing every time...... this error needs a technician, here is a number or can an email. Then the wait. We are on the phone for the first time with a foreign speaking woman who is giving us the......a technician will call you in 24 hours. I saw this one online (store didnt have exact model on floor) and chose this because of the depth and the bottom freezer. The door to the left can hardly hold anything because the ice/water is there (my old fridge wasnt that bad in that area) and the right door can only hold 1 gallon of milk. The part that is really horrible is the fact that GNATS are constantly in my fridge! I have NEVER had Gnats in my fridge!!! I have no idea what is going on but the seals must not be great. My Samsung dishwasher worked perfectly until one day it simply stopped work
My Samsung dishwasher worked perfectly until one day it simply stopped working -- no lights, nothing. I called Samsung and was told if it was the control board it would be a warranty repair, but if it was the front panel it would not be. The authorized service repair company came and --without running any diagnostics -- replaced the front panel, and charged me about $300. The unit worked for a week, and then the same problem reappeared. They came back to do the work. Samsung said would be a warranty repair -- replace the control board -- but then after the work was completed, charged me $140 for the board anyway! After many contacts with Samsung, which agreed repeatedly that the control board was a warranty repair, I was never able to get the money refunded and Samsung failed to follow through with numerous promised phone calls. I would never buy another Samsung product after this experience (which is particularly a shame since Ive been a loyal Samsung customer for years -- phones, TVs, memory cards, etc.).

I talked to even a supervisor that was not able to resolve my issue. Customer service does not know the operation of their products and had me on hold forever. I was told by a friend that owns the same model that the ice maker produces 7 ice cubes every 90 minutes, which explains why it took 3 days to fill. I also read the same information on a website. I took out the service plan after the 1-year warranty is over. Having to deal with Samsung has been nothing but a waste of time and a huge headache. I am still scratching my head wondering why they are rated the number one fridge on the market. I had an 18-year-old GE that I would gladly take back. It never had one issue. I just wanted to update my kitchen with stainless steel. I would never buy another Samsung appliance.

This is the first and last time that I will purchase any products from Samsung. I purchased 4 appliances on April 14, 2019. I called because I needed repair to my range. I have made multiple calls and yet not resolved. First call agent did not speak English well, no help there! Second call agent muffled could not understand at all, however, provided her with the necessary documents and info including serial number etc. Waited 24 hours and no call from repair company. Called them and again needed to submit necessary documents/receipt since they did not have. (Mind you the range belongs to my 86 year old mother and of course with the current healthcare crisis needs a range). The third agent basically reprimanded me for not having the appropriate info on my receipt such as serial number. The Home Depot receipt does not have the serial number on the receipt but it does state the items that were purchased (Samsung Kitchen Package). Now I called HD to obtain a full invoice and of course I will not have for a couple days which may have the potential of falling out of warranty. You can guarantee that I will be calling the Department of Aging to file a complaint especially with the current situation that the US is currently in. One would think that providing the supporting documentation would be enough to schedule a repair. Now an 86 year old is left without a range (especially since she is self-sheltered) for God knows how long. I welcome a call!

Just reached the 6th year of owning our Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RM257ABSH which we paid nearly $3000. A&E (Sears) is the only repair option... I called every repair place and also asked for referrals to repair people they knew. The A&E repairman that found the leak in our coil was very knowledgeable, but the coil I paid for never came in. The appointment date came and went with no phone call. I called A&E, three or four times before I found out that their parts source no longer carries the coil and they had move my appoint from the 6th to the 20th of February. I called Samsung, since my fridge at this point has been down for 4 weeks and was given Customer Relations... after four business days of going back and forth between A&E and Samsung, I was told that the coil is no longer available and they would have to buy back my fridge. The A&E repairman during the service call told me coils are the most common problem with refrigerators... which means that when you buy an expensive refrigerator from Samsung, you cant count on them keeping parts past the 5 year warranty. The Customer Relations person told me it was past its 5 year warranty point that they carry parts. They offered me a buy back that is reduced by 10% per year. I could have fixed the fridge for $495, instead I trash a $3000 unit for a few hundred dollars... What a deal!!!!!The total repair cost by A&E was $495.00. I paid $185.00 down for parts and the service call. Now I am out of $1500-2500 for a new fridge and Samsung may give me a small buy back amount! My advice... Never, Never, Never buy a Samsung refrigerator because they may not carry your parts after the warranty. Their fix is to give you a few hundred bucks and send you on your way to your next purchase... which in my case will never be a Samsung!!!

I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in July 2013. I didnt have any problems with the unit initially. Well as soon as the one year warranty expired the fan started making a loud weird sound. The noise got louder and louder, evidently the refrigerator wasnt cooling. I call Samsungs crappy customer service and they insisted on walking me through a step by step problem solving. I was so frustrated with them. I assured them that everything imaginable just short of throwing it out the back door was done trying to find out what was wrong. Of course, they made sure to inform me that the unit was no longer under warranty and Id have to pay for any repairs, but a technician wouldnt be available until January 7, 2015. I called on December 20, 2015. I was furious and expressed that with the person on the other line, but she didnt seem to care. The refrigerator still isnt cooling. Im just glad I have the old refrigerator in the garage that I replaced the Samsung crap with and it works. I would never again buy a Samsung. They should be better with the consumer. Such a Lemon!!!

My previous refrigerators lasted 15 years without one problem. This Samsung lasted less than 2 years before we had to pay for a new defrost timer. Now, less than another 2 years has past and it is broken again. We do not even live in a hot area! We live high in the mountains... what a piece of crap. Never buy Samsung refrigerators. They are junk. They should stick to TVs. My TV has been flawless for 10 years.

Bought unit (Samsung over the range microwave model SMH1622B) in Dec. 2014. Lately when I put something into it, as soon as I close the door, the light inside it comes on and the turntable starts spinning. It does not stop if I press the stop/clear button. The only way to stop it is to open the door. If I press the stop/clear button while the door is open it does nothing, as the unit starts up again as soon as I close the door. The ONLY thing that stops this is if I open the door, press the 1 {1 second} button, close the door, and then press start. The unit then cooks for 1 second, and finally shuts off.

Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. I purchased a Samsung side by side with ice maker less than two years ago. It went out on Oct 28. We have had a technician out twice. The second time he ordered parts which have been here for over a week. It is now Nov 20 and now they tell me they can’t have anyone come out until Dec 9. I have called numerous times to see if they could send someone out before Dec 9. The last time the technician was here over two weeks ago, he told us not to put much food in the fridge because it will just refreeze and go out. It is such a hassle and expense to go to the store every couple of days. We have lost hundreds of dollars of food that has not been replaced.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in February of 2007. In 2009, it froze up under the plastic wall in the back, making it impossible to close the door. I paid a repairman $200.00 to come and fix it. He put on a new thermostat, cleaned the coils, defrosted everything and put it back together. 1 year later I had to call him back because it did exactly the same thing. Another $150.00. Then in March it did it again. I called a different repairman, thinking he might be able to truly fix the issue, and he told me straight up that Samsung refrigerators have one fan for freezer and fridge. Its a bad plan, it doesnt work and you cant fix it. Lucky me. Well, it happened to me again today, so, now every 2 to 6 months I have to take my fridge apart, defrost it and put it back together. Its a great plan and Samsung is of no help at all. Too bad so sad, but I wont be buying ANYTHING Samsung again... EVER! Ive posted on FB and continue to tell all of my friends what crap they sell.

I bought this dishwasher from LOWES along with a matching Stove, Refrigerator and Microwave because I had all white appliance and the Refrigerator went bad after ten years so, I decided I wanted all my appliances to match and stainless steel seemed to be the trend. I bought Samsung because I ran a Circuit City and all our Samsung TVs were the best. 6 months after I purchased the Samsung appliances my wife started to complain about the dishwasher saying the dishes were not getting clean and then she complained that the detergent dispenser didnt open and then it was not finishing the washing cycle. We then called LOWES and told them the problem and they said make sure its a real problem because if they call out a repair person and there is nothing wrong they would charge us.So, I decided to look online to see if I could trouble shoot the problem. I found hundreds of people with the same problem as me. One of them claimed to have a fix. Take apart the Drain cover and clean the white sensor and then put it back together. I did exactly that, and it fixed the problem... for about two months. Then I had to take it apart again and clean the sensor, solving the problem for another 2 months. This has gone on every two months for about a year now and I am beyond disgust with Samsung. So I went back to the internet to see if there might be a more permanent fix to my problem only to find hundreds more people and complaints on the same dishwasher with the same problem. Still no permanent fix to be found just lots of frustrated people like me venting about their disappointment. I cant afford to buy all new appliances only 1 1/2 years later so I will be stuck taking my dishwasher apart every two months for several years to come. However, at the very least I can complain and just maybe it will keep someone else from making the same purchase mistake.

We purchased the Samsung refrigerator with french doors and icemaker in 2015. By 2018 the icemaker was constantly freezing up and had to be thawed, only to be frozen again in 10-14 days. It is now worthless, as the tray will not even fit into the icemaker casing. This is a known issue with this style refrigerator, yet Samsung is doing nothing. The repairs are way too expensive and even after several service calls and attempts to fix it, they still dont work. Do not purchase this style of Samsung refrigerator because you will encounter many problems with it. Maybe not at first, but give it time. Shame on Samsung for selling such a horrible appliance. There are hundreds, if not thousands of complaints on this product. Save yourself some money and headaches and look at another brand.

We purchased Stainless steel kitchen appliances in 2016 and have nothing but issues. Bought an extended warranty and even they refuse to repair anymore. Refrigerator - stop making ice, didnt cool properly, buildup of ice under deli tray, door handle came off of freezer drawer. Microwave - not warm properly, some of features not working. Dishwasher - will not drain water proper or wash dishes efficiently (dirty after an entire cycle, motor keeps running). I have contacted them. They only guarantee a year like most. Thats why we got the extended warranty. Never experience such repairs. Its only been 3 yrs. Something is wrong with this picture. I have spoken to them and they have washed their hands. Even the warranty service man told me that they were bad manufacturers and that they get calls all the time back to back for same issues. Please YouTube the models before purchasing. We are out of $4000 basically. I filed a complaint with BBB. They need to stick with cellphones.

I mentioned to all 3 that I researched the problem and Samsung knows full well that they have a defective part that causes this to happen yet has not recalled the models or the part itself despite the fact that there is a pending class action lawsuit against them. I would hate to see anyone waste their hard earned money on appliances that cant even last a few years. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves. Appliances should easily last longer than 2 1/2 years. I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesn’t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesn’t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.

Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but its getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (dont know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

Like so many, I purchased a French door Samsung refrigerator and had nothing but trouble. I have read so many reviews and complaints about the Samsung refrigerators, as well as the poor service Samsung provides. What I know is that many larger retailers such as Home Depot and Lowes who sell the product are as guilty as Samsung for selling and promoting a product that has proven to be a consumer failure. Paid for a Samsung Refrigerator. Picked it up from the retailing Store 3 months later. I was given a Pickup invoice on which the Retailer indicated the date of sale and the date of pickup. However, the unit developed some problems. I called Samsung (Manufacturer Warranty). They insisted that it was over one year I paid for the unit and as such was out of warranty. I went to the Retailer who gave me a letter and also wrote Samsung to clear the air on this issue. The letter clearly outlined the day I reserved the unit and the day I picked it up and asked Samsung to extend to me the warranty from the date I picked up the refrigerator.Every time I contacted Samsung, the customer service agents claim they never received the letter from the Retailer. I had to send it to them again and again and again. Ive done this over 6 times. They always claim they never received it and as such would not authorize a repair of my refrigerator. I am tired of all these and intend to look for a repair technician who will repair it. I will then go to Small Claims court to file a claim against Samsung for the repair and loss of use of my refrigerator including costs of damaged foods. I called the Customer Service once again for their mailing address to send them the court papers. The agent I spoke to refused giving it to me. Said I should email it. How can I email the original court papers? Even if I can, to an email address they never admit to receiving my emails at? Finally, I will quit patronizing SAMSUNG products!

So I purchase 2 Samsung smooth top convection ovens July 27th 2017 for a small in home commercial kitchen. The use of these ovens would not exceed what any normal home would do in a year as my business is somewhat seasonal and a very small operation. I had a repair tech come out and after trying else we replaced the main brain. This sadly did not fix the issue. Then in August the other oven started doing the same thing. After exhausting every fix the repair technician said that there is nothing else to replace so maybe call Samsung and ask them to do something. After three months of being told they will get back to me with a resolution not once did they contact me back, as promised, until I got cross with them and demanded some kind of answer. It was out of warranty two weeks and got nothing from Samsung. I figured this out after having bought 3 dishwashers and two refrigerators. Case in point current refrigerator (Samsung french door) warranty was $756.00 I paid $1,600.00 for it new and have had nothing but problems. Oven was $350 for warranty new it was $1,700. Like most of the respondents here, I will never consider the purchase of another Samsung product. Unfortunately in our current age, we are all well aware that companies simply dont have our best interests in mind. Samsung, however, rises to new levels of bureaucratic road blocks to service. More importantly is the fact they not only obscure what has transpired and been discussed previously, but just bold faced lie about they have or have not said.We purchased a large black side-by-side refrigerator in April of 2011. We have had more or less constant problems ever since (as mentioned elsewhere, the ice maker is a nightmare). We finally gave up on ever getting any service from Samsung. They have 2 certified repairmen in Hawaii (many repair services are qualified, but not certified, which means they cant perform warranty service). The demise of the refrigerator and our relationship with Samsung began its culmination last year when we had to pay out of pocket to replace the Motherboard, $400.00. Them 3 weeks ago the freezer stopped working. I got my previous non-certified repairman to check it out. He said the compressor had died. The good news is that its covered under warranty and most manufacturers will just refund some portion of the purchase price. After getting a hold of Samsung, I was told they would get a repair person out in 2 weeks (**). 3 days later, the refrigerator component also ceased working. I called Samsung back and demanded to be connected with the next level of service. This time I was told that they agree the wait was unacceptable and I would be refunded a portion of the purchase price. Oh, and by the way, despite the fact that I had previously been assured that the repair company (an 800 service) would have the necessary parts when they arrived, they had not in fact ordered any parts! In case youre wondering about the refund, they now contend that that option had never been discussed (**).So not only was I told that it would be 2 weeks to get a repair person out, but they would then have to order parts. I live in Hawaii, so its a foregone conclusion that the wait for those parts will be inordinate. After stewing about this for several days, I again contacted Samsung and this time I was informed that I had been informed that the repairs would not be covered by Samsung because it was out of warranty. I emphatically stated that no such thing had ever been discussed! The compressor is covered for 5 years. They eventually agreed that the compressor was still covered, then they hemmed and hawed, but in the end I was left without a working refrigerator and a many month repair process, if at all. Bottom line folks, avoid all Samsung products like the plague. I wish I had read these comments before I considered my purchase!

After complaining about the ice maker on the RF263 for over a year because of poor production, Samsung said nothing could be done to shorten the cycle time. I am getting about 1 cycle per four hours. Even with Power Freeze (as recommended in the owner’s manual).I called Samsung tech support and they said that power freeze would cause slower production of ice. They said that the filter should be changed more often than six months and that I should not be using a whole house (huge) water filter. They asked me to press the reset button (and hold for 8 seconds), which I did and the ice dumped. They said not to expect ice for 12 hours and that I should be getting a dump about every 1 and 1/2 hours.Furthermore, the OM says to flush the new filter with at least six gallons of water – without telling me how to flush it! I asked why none of this was discussed in the woefully inadequate owner’s manual. Whats more, all the techs know is what is written down in front of them, without having any knowledge of why or the logic of what they are telling you to do (or not).

Bought a Samsung microwave almost two years ago, and this is the second time we’ve had a major repair. Just before the warranty expired, the fan went out. It was challenging to get Samsung to agree the repair was covered and then to schedule the repair. Now the magnetron tube and couple other parts need to be replaced, parts and labor costing around $275. I’m debating whether to sink more money into this thing. When it works, it’s great, but with this record of repairs, I’m hesitant to invest more $$.

Recently the shelves in our freezer Model # RS25J500DSR/AA are falling from the guides. The shelves are not overloaded. Called Samsung... No help, said it was out of warranty. Asked me to call parts dept. I did and received the SAME SHELF!!! How in this world can I be the only one with a defective freezer shelf??? PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND...

Local appliance company comes next day. Main control board failure. 17 Months MTBF. LOUSY! Assessment is labor, revisit and part but likely hood of another failure make this product a HAUL away to the disposal center. Samsung refrigerator noise/rattle issues, convention over poor stove top quality - scratches. SAMSUNG never again. It leaks water that overflows onto kitchen floor and makes your cold grocery items freeze up in back of fridge. You will have to pay hundreds in repairs and if you need questions answered about problems be prepared to be put on hold on phone and then talk to someone from India or Pakistan that you cant understand. Samsung refrigerators are nothing but CRAP and they need to be Sued.

Changed out my perfectly working 20yr old dishwasher for New Samsung Stormwash w/ auto-release dry. Big mistake! Purchased from Home Depot. Delivery was a joke as they cancelled a promised Saturday delivery. I had to drive a town away to pick it up myself after waiting a week and then they cancelled appt. Next, 5 months later dishwasher leaked all over my kitchen floor and it hadnt been turned on yet. Customer no service overseas a joke. Said I should have bought a warranty. Told them I didnt have a crystal ball and if Id known it was a cruddy product I wouldnt have purchased it in the first place. Had to pull all my dishes and wash by hand. Waiting to hear from them to fix it. Dont want it but refused to take it back. Damage to floor.

Bought Samsung refrigerator, RF18FENBSR in July 2017. Freezer door broke on one aside, called Samsung (warrantied till Aug 2017). They sent out Williston Repair Group rep who wanted to charge me $110.00. I declined, told him to leave. Called Samsung, they verified it was still covered and redid work order. After a few days, I called Williston back and was told they would not send anyone out because I had slammed door on their rep and was rude. Besides, door handles were exterior damage. Called Samsung back, was told that they would call them and straighten this out. They called me back and said that since the handle was EXTERIOR and subject to damage, it is not covered. If I could give them NO STARS, I would. Naturally, I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again, as I feel they cannot be trusted to stand behind their products. You have to be crazy to buy ANYTHING Samsung.

My microwave suddenly began beeping and displayed a SE code. Upon reviewing internet comments, I realized it is a common problem amongst owners and there were various experiences in getting a repair. After spending 45 minutes on the chat line, I was referred to the customer service line. I called and was greeted by a very friendly representative. Unfortunately, I called Samsung US and was referred to Samsung CA. The ticket number he provided was not recognized in Canada so I had to go through the whole story again. They were willing to send a technician out but I need to provide a receipt. In my opinion, a Samsung product is a Samsung product. Nonetheless, a few hoops to go through in order to get a technician out so will update later.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator and stove a year ago. The first time I went to use the self-clean feature on the stove the main component fried. It was Thanksgiving week and a time I really needed the oven. It took 2 weeks for a repairman to fix the problem. Two weeks ago we started having problems with the ice maker in the refrigerator. Slushy ice and at times, wed just get a handful of water. Upon research (I know, something I should have done before the purchase), I learned that it is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators/ice makers. People were told they had to empty the thing every 6 months or so, unplug it and let it defrost! Seriously?? In this day and age? The thing is supposed to be frost free. So upset with this purchase! I would avoid Samsung in the future if looking for appliances. They look good, but break down within a year of purchase.

BTW: The model is RF4287, stainless, double door, middle drawer, and bottom freezer door. The refrigerator looks nice BUT its not worth $2,400.00 for only two years of light usage. AND one other thing when the ice maker DROPS ice in the bin you can hear the ice drop from every room in the house at night. THIS MACHINE IS WAY TOO NOISY for the price Samsung charges....

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

Samsung French Door refrigerator is junk. Model FR 28HFEDBSR/AA with ice and water through the door, as soon as the warranty expired, the ice maker stopped working. It would freeze up, stop making cubes. We replaced the expensive water filter every 3 months instead of 6, but melting ice/water would constantly drip from the water dispenser, creating a puddle outside the door. My husband repeatedly takes the ice maker apart, defrosts, cleans, and reinserts it. After 24 hours it makes a few small cubes, works for a week, then freezes up again. Biggest waste of a lot of money ever!!!

I purchased an expensive french door Samsung refrigerator with bottom freezer from Lowes. When the refrigerator was less than a year old, I noticed the freezer was frosting up. But then the problem went away only to return a couple months later but this time the whole freezer iced up. Lowes said it was out of warranty so they gave me Samsungs number. A Samsung repairman came out and blamed the problem on not closing the door properly. He defrosted the freezer and after that, the freezer stopped working completely. A second call to Samsung and the same repairman showed up. This time he said to repair it, he would have to weld and refill the freon but that would cause a lot of smoke in the kitchen and there was some risk in bringing in canisters of flammable gas, etc. He wasnt too eager to do the repair and felt the refrigerator should be replaced by Samsung. Given his track record I wasnt confident about this repair. Samsung has refused to replace the refrigerator, pay for the labor to repair it, and send a different repairman. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

I had to have a technician out within months because sliding drawer wouldnt close correctly and a problem with the door closing. Every year since Ive had to have the ice maker replaced. Keep in mind I have dual ice makers. Only one works at any given time. Other. In 4 years I needed 4 new ice makers. Luckily I had purchased Lowes extended warranty. Thats a problem in itself as youll wait weeks for service and even longer for parts. I had them come out for one service call for the broken ice maker and the technician ordered a new part and I was told to wait for the part. Took almost a month with me calling every week to finally get the part and told they ordered the wrong part. Waited months for a replacement part which never came. I called again months later only to find out my extended warranty is expired.I spent over 2500.00 for a piece of junk. No one should is expected to replace an ice maker ever year. I called Samsung after finding out my last ice maker installed had a year warranty which is still valid. I wanted them to replace my ice maker for free. They stated I would have to pay $175.00 for a service call for the tech to verify my ice maker was broke and then installation cost. I asked for them to just send me the replacement and I would have installed myself. No such luck. So my ice maker has a warranty which is useless unless Samsung gets paid for bogus charges. Seems this is a very problematic model from all the complaints listed. There should be a recall or class action lawsuit.

I really like this fridge because of the price point. Although I do have a couple of issues. First being I hate that no matter what temp you put the fridge on you will have to eventually manually Defrost because there is no option to do it by itself. Second even after googling how to defrost it you have to basically take it apart and do it yourself no matter what. After the first year, the fan motor started squeaking very loudly. I read online about how everyone had the same problem, so I oiled the spindle and it helped for about 3-4 months. I finally had to replace the original fan, which was a cheap, plastic model. This year, the refrigerator would not keep the food cold. I had a repairman look and he said it was either the defrost sensor, the heater or the cpu board. I started with the defrost sensor and the appliance part guy said, Samsung! Oh God, how old? Three years, well, thats about the life of that. Its done. The sensor did not fix the problem, so instead of wasting more time and money gambling on either the heater or the cpu board, I am replacing this piece of junk. Every online board says the same thing, that this is an inferior product. I spent over $1,000 on this thing and it lasted me 3 lousy years. Now, I have to spend another $1,000 on a new refrigerator. Do you think I will ever recommend any Samsung products or purchase another one again in my lifetime? I will tell everyone I know to not buy Samsung. I can just sit down and write a novel about my disposable fridge that would make a priest want to renounce his vows, oh my! And thats not all! So while I have your attention, let me begin with the juiciness of this sought over novel, soon to be released; not appropriate for the weak-minded, lame, sex offenders, and others whom are abusive. My story begins on the purchase date of December 3, 2010, not to be delivered until December 21, 2010 on Model: RF217ACRSXAA; Brand: Samsung 20 cubit ft B/M french doors; cost $1,299.00, growling! OK, its going on 8-years old, so what? Dont you want for your refrigerator to last more than just 8 years, I do? After all, $1,299 isnt anything to laugh about on the high cost of paying for any appliance that should serve their customers well in the long-run; hello, this one doesnt cut the cake, in fact, it lacked in all areas. Listen up now in hearing the truth and the reality of this poorly constructed, over-priced, defective, piece of disposable stainless steel has-been appliance of junk. Not pretty so far, and its not going to get any prettier, trust me. To save time, Im just going to list the issues in laying them straight out for your digestion, and I hope they dont deliver unto any of you any form of nausea, flu-like symptoms, diarrhea, or self-inflicted wounds; even thou tempted. This appliance was doomed when formed in the craters of the stainless steel womb in appliance making; in laymans terms it was defective and unacceptable and much made aware of, however, Samsung continued to disregard any discrepancies of their workmanship and so they continued on. This so-called wannabe fridge didnt pan out at all in its performance and the companies bragging and boasting of such a wonderful product; check out the other sources of reviews regarding their refrigerators and youll see the tremendous faults and Samsungs own claims that it was your fault based upon reasonable wear and tear, other words, your daily usage of their product. BULL! Cheap and stupid comment! Everything we have is considered being used on a daily basis as wear and tear. So it comes down to: a faulty and a unacceptable product with the first thing happening were dents appearing upon the surface front of the stainless steel in various areas where nothing was knocked or hit upon the refrigerator, and this still remains a mystery to this day; and suddenly one day out of the blue when upon opening and gagging, a vile odor of non-delight smacked me right in the face of something raw and diseased in leaving a stench of a decomposed corpse somewhere hiding in my fridge, it was so intrusive and vile that I had to end up removing everything in my fridge to remove the odor of death with vinegar, baking powder, peroxide and rubbing alcohol, which finally helped in this hideous stench, plus it harbored its odor upon my cheese and butter, which I had to dispose of, costing me money in waste, and then having to replace those items which cost me more. This lovely saga lasted over 1-year in the making and it wasnt pretty, as I had to do this every 3-months. When I contacted this lovely and caring company, I was told to wash down my fridge. Hahaha! Now thats funny! I reported to this expertise person filled with much knowledge and wisdom, that this was exactly what I had done. Then her reply was, it takes time and itll go away. Another bout of uncontrollable laughter in asking her, what if it doesnt go away, then what? Only to be told again by this person of much esteem, then call us back. OK, as if my calling is going to be opening their deaf ears, NOT! Now moving on to my wonderful and functional ice maker, which when my fridge was installed, the ice maker wasnt even hooked up due to our older home not having any water hookup for a refrigerator that had an ice maker. So the installer, turned that option off as we didnt use it. So in the 7 years in which weve had our disaster of a fridge with all of its sought after imperfections, were still experiencing problems with the ice maker. This problem has now been addressed 3 times, with a repairman coming out doing his magical diagnostic check to say it was our ice maker programmed in indicating that there is a problem. What kind of a problem you asked, well, its programmed of course with all of its electronic components saying that there is an ice issue and leaking. NOT! So this lovely costly $100 gadget of necessity had to be replaced, why, well its because of the way Samsung designs their appliances causing for them to react in indicating something that isnt. But in order for my fridge to work, I had to pay for it as it was out of warranty. How lovely and kind is Samsung to do that in their designing and corruptible computer technology to showcase this error of DECEIT. So it was done and I had thought over, but once again, the fun and love of this fridge is expressing itself all over again, and less than one year after it was supposedly been fixed and not to do it again. Yeah, right! So this time Mr. Mechanic, Man of Genius (another repairman) comes out and swiftly removes the ice maker saying that it wasnt needed and therefore I didnt need for it to be there. No charge this time, saying it was a courtesy call. And after 3 months, surprised! I know, your hearts must be breaking by now. So once again a call was made and several people spoken with, all whom didnt know what was said nor documented from the others, so I had to repeat everything over and over; my patience was low and running thin by now. So finally a service call was made by a company who would call me to confirm within the week regarding an ice maker that was removed and yet there was still a problem. The company called, the serviceman and I talked, only to find out that what Samsung had told him was nothing that I had said that I needed help on. They told him that I had a water leak, when I had an ice maker that was removed and the code were showing that I had a water leak coming from my ice maker that was previously removed. The serviceman suggested I call them back to report this, as there was no reason for him to come out for something that doesnt exist. The call was made, I had talked to 4 people and was told someone would be contacting me (this was in May of this year 2018). And yet at this time no one has contacted me on scheduling anyone to assist me, and my fridge is still the same as it was before where you have no option in controlling your refrigerators temperature, and its not as cold as it should be where numerous items of food had to be removed and thrown away. So now what? Let this vicious, but yet lovely and caring company who jumps hoops and swims the ocean, climbs the highest mountains and deals with volcanoes just to make sure that their appliances will be serviced well and proper, leaving you with a sense of relief and comfort, and cold foods. Wow! Guess Im in good hands after all; and here I thought Jack the Ripper was bad.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in August of 2013, Model #RF31FMEDBSR/AA. It worked fine for a couple of years, then in March of this year the freezer part stopped freezing. A Sears tech came out on March 31st, ordered a compressor, evaporator and dryer, came following week and replaced. Took freezer 3 days to start freezing properly, worked a few days and started having the same problem. Called tech service back, came out on April 22 did a recover/recharge. Worked a couple of weeks, same problem again. On May 16 came out again repeated the recover/recharge procedure. Within the next two weeks had to call again with same problem. Tech came out on May 31 replaced Thermo BIM part, worked for about a month. Now same problem with freezer and temps in the refrigerator part of unit is also failing. All Samsung wants to do is send me a certified Samsung tech and charge me a bill... The last Sears Tech has worked on refrigerators for 30 years. We purchased the Samsung Water Wall Dishwasher approx 2 Months ago. The cycle started pausing and the door was open. We asked our daughter if she had opened the dishwasher door during the night. She gave us this funny look and “No I did not touch the dishwasher”. We ran another load of dirty dishes a couple of days later and noticed that there was saw dust particles on the door. The kitchen counter top is swelling up from the steam/moisture that is leaking through the door. I emailed the company that sold me the dishwasher to let them know that I am having problems with the dishwasher that they sold me. This is what they said, We are sorry to hear that there is a problem with the unit you received. Your product comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. When a service technician comes to your home, they will repair the unit for free. In addition, the manufacturer will not authorize a replacement unit until one of their service technicians deems the unit unrepairable. Please contact Samsung to schedule a repair at 800-726-7864. We apologize for the inconvenience.I contacted Samsung to let them know that the dishwasher had damaged the kitchen counter-top due to the door leaking steam/moisture through the door. Samsung asked me to get a professional licensed contractor to give me a quote of what the damage would cost to repair the damage and to send them some pictures. I have sent them the pictures, I am struggling to find a professional licensed contractor to give me a quote, they are not real interested with dealing with this issue. I have asked the seller and the manufacturer for my Money Back. There are endless dissatisfied reviews that describe the door opening and water leaking on the floor. One person mentioned in their review that they had to use a chair and a box of kitty litter to keep the door closed during a wash cycle. The door is flimsy and the door latch is wimpy that pretty much sums it up.

Terrible customer service!!! Spent almost 4k on this refrigerator specifically for the Pandora app to listen to music in the kitchen. It stopped working once Samsung issued an update. Its been 4 months now with nothing working. Some people are going on a year with this same issue. We are past the 30-90 day warranty with the department store where these were purchased so now we are stuck.
