What are the different pro range controls

A pro range oven is a stove built like a commercial or restaurant-style oven but for the home. These oven styles are a good investment if you plan to do a lot of cooking and baking. These ovens are typically used by at-home cooking enthusiasts and those who run their own catering company at home.

Pro ranges come in different sizes, ranging from 38 inches to 60 inches. The 38-inch oven is large enough to fit catering trays, where the 60-inch oven can have two ovens and even room for a griddle stovetop.

Pro range ovens can come in gas or electric, and some ranges can even be paired with both gas and electric. These types of ovens are called duel heat.

Some cooks prefer gas ranges over electric ranges because of how they heat.

These ovens can last at least twenty years, with good maintenance.

Where the oven controls are located depends on the oven. Some ovens have controls at the back, over top of the burners, or at the front.

Pro ranges can come with different types of ranges, and they include.

  1. Simmer burner: This setting is suitable for when you need to heat something slowly like chili or soup. It's also good for melting butter.
  2. Grills: Just like a barbeque, these grills are over an open flame. So a high ventilation system is a must.
  3. Boiler: These burners have a higher heat and are perfect for searing, sauteing, and boiling.
  4. Griddle: If you are a cook who loves breakfast, these burners are for you. These ranges are flat and perfect for scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast, and other foods that cook better with a flat top.
  5. Infrared: Some gas model ranges come with an infrared option that heats food quicker and more evenly without preheating.
  6. Steamer: Some dual-range ovens come with a steam option that produces moist heat perfect for cooking lean meats. The steamer option requires a water line to work.
  7. Air fry: Air fryers have become popular for cooking french fries and other foods you usually cook with a deep fryer. Instead of hot oil, air fryers use hot air to crisp.

Pro ranges are costly and require a lot of room, and if you are thinking of switching from gas to electric, you will need to add a gas line. Some pro ranges can be heavy, additional floor support may be required.

If you are thinking about upgrading to a pro range, it's always best to contact a professional. And at Appliance Helpers, we can help you get in touch with a pro range specialist in your area. Visit our website for more information on our services and how to get in touch with us.
