l have owned the oven for less than a year and have had the fuse blow twice. The repairman said it is a result of the self cleaning process. He said do not use it. Tried to get an answer from company. No luck. Signed up for extended warranty. They advised me to call another division. They were not willing to help. Their job was to sell extended warranties. I bought the warranty after they tried to sell me a longer term. They seem to have a problem that they do not want to fix. I have purchased many items in the past from them. I am leery of any future purchases.

If you are sensitive to high pitched hum, I would recommend you do not purchase model KRFF507HPS02. This is the lower freezer 27 cubic foot KitchenAid. It’s considered normal, so once you spend over three thousand dollars for it, you are stuck.

Since posting the initial review, I was contacted by a KitchenAid engineer who scans online reviews about their dishwashers. Im happy to say that the dishwasher has now been repaired at no cost to me. Hopefully the replacement rails and adjusters will last longer than the original ones did. Im very pleased that KitchenAid stepped up to make this right. Ive been a loyal customer of KitchenAid and will continue to be in the future. But this is only a great dishwasher if it stands the test of time and thats yet to be seen.

16 months ago we purchased a KitchenAid 577-1 stainless steel dishwasher. Within a few months the arms to the racks broke. The kick plate was damaged. They sent another that did not fit the unit. We bought the new pieces for the racks, but the racks still did not hold and were slanted. Now the motor has burnt out. I called KitchenAid, they said all parts are under warranty. The repair guy came here, quoted $109 to come in, $200 for the motor, and $150 for labor, saying the motor is not under warranty. I paid him and threw him out of the house. Easiest $109 he ever made for the 3 minutes he was here. I called KitchenAid and asked why the motor was not covered. They told me only the computer and the racks themselves are covered. I asked why they did not tell me that in the first place. They said the rep was misinformed. Dont buy this unit. It is complete garbage. I am now out $1,000 for a machine I got 16 months out of.

We have had two kitchenaid ranges in the last two years. The first one burnt up twice on the self-clean cycle and was replaced by a range with a higher speed blower fan that is extremely loud and annoying. Kitchenaid replaced the fan twice and have come to a conclusion that this is normal. When I first contacted Kitchenaid, their comment was we have had no noisy fan complaints. Service techs they have replaced many. Kitchenaid have told us they no longer going to help us with the noisy fan as it is normal. We are now stuck with a $2200 range. We will never buy kitchenaid junk again.

Purchased KitchenAid dishwasher about two years ago thinking we were paying more to get a quality product. It has been instead inferior and troublesome. A long series of problems began from the start. Crooked footings that made it more challenging to install. Leaking door seal that needed to be replaced. Leaks from some undefined location that require we use and empty a drip pan. Plastic wheels breaking and not staying on track (dumping the full tray into the well) when sliding in full trays of dishes. Poor cleaning compared or prior cheapo washers. Flatware trays that wear out easily even while trying to be careful, and now to top it off, the unit has stopped rinsing the dishes entirely. What a huge waste of money!

KitchenAid dishwasher KUDS30FXSS4 - The overall cleaning of this product has been good. However, I have replaced the adjusters on the top rack twice which has cost me $150. The pieces are flimsy plastic pieces that I am sure will need to be replaced again as they have only held up for 1 year each. The inside screws that hold the door together came unscrewed during a cleaning. Thankfully I was home to clean up the puddle that was growing on my wood floors. I am not happy with this product and am disappointed that I paid so much for it and continue to pay for a top name brand appliance. I will not purchase another KitchenAid dishwasher nor will I recommend this product.

We purchased a kitchenaid refrigerator, model KFCS22EVMS6 from Sears in 2012. We have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator section.... loud noise, freezing food and most recently not cooling. Temperature will not remain at the recommended setting of 38 degrees (changes automatically to 59 degrees and higher). We have had at least 4 service calls on this refrigerator. Just called tonight due to the non-cooling issue and cannot get an appointment until October 27th. The previous service technicians refuse to state our refrigerator should be replaced by Kitchenaid. This is our first and last kitchenaid refrigerator we will ever purchase.

We purchased a Kitchenaid refrigerator 29 CF model KFIS29bbms (french doors upper/ freezer below) for $2500 exactly 1 year and 2 days ago. The ice maker began to operate sporadically 3-4 days ago. Then 2 days ago the freezer quit (although we didnt realize it till last night). Today, we called Kitchenaid - they said warranty ran out two days ago!! They said too bad you are out of warranty! After getting a supervisor on the phone the best we could get was Kitchenaid would pay for parts but we are stuck paying for service call and labor. They said a service man would be out in 3 days.So in the meantime we have moved all of our food to our 13 year old General Electric beer fridge in the garage. The GE still works fine, we paid about $800 for it new back then - so it now has to carry the load for our $2500 Kitchenaid piece of junk. I wish I had read these reviews before making this purchase as it appears many other people are having the problems as us.

Kitchenaid Dishwasher KUDS30IXBL2 - This dishwasher was purchased in May of
Kitchenaid Dishwasher KUDS30IXBL2 - This dishwasher was purchased in May of 2011 by the previous owners of the home we purchased in March 2013. I started having problems in December 2014 with the dishwasher running about 10 minutes then stopping. Called Lowes who had sold the dishwasher. The previous owners had purchased a 4 year extended warranty, but Lowes wouldnt honor this because we werent the ones who bought the dishwasher. Just another rip off of getting out of honoring the warranty. Repairman came out and ran all the diagnostic codes. Came back and replaced the console. This didnt fix the problem. Called again. Still running intermittently. Sometimes completed cycle and sometimes not. He came and replaced the sensor. Meanwhile the rollers and glide holding the top rack started to break. As I see on this site, that seems to be a common problem. Called back to get repairman to come again and mentioned the rack problem and was told the company had a call back on the rack parts. So repairman came and replaced all the broken parts for the rack, ran codes again and said it might be the control. He got into the control and took off and reattached every wire and found no problems but said it might be the control. I ran the dishwasher again, and it quit after about an hour. Restarted it with no detergent in it, and it still didnt complete the cycle. Called back today and was told they could order the control, at a cost of $189. To date, I have spent $378.81 with another $200 part ordered and still have a dishwasher that doesnt work. The original dishwasher cost $773.19 so I will soon have an all redone dishwasher that may still not work. This is absolutely unforgivable. I have had about 3 dishwashers in 2 other houses in 40 years and NEVER had any of these kinds of problems. I was always led to believe Kitchen Aid was a top of the line dishwasher. This one is NOT EVEN 4 YEARS OLD and has almost cost its original purchase price! I want to see something done about this by the company. And I will NEVER, repeat NEVER purchase another Kitchen Aid product.

We purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator. It had never been used. After numerous repair calls, a technician came out and determined that it had a bad compressor. I called Kitchen Aid and pleaded with them to send me a new one. My concern is, if the compressor is bad, what else is wrong with the refrigerator? They refused to send me a new one. I am now waiting for a new compressor. I am furious that I spent so much money on a faulty product, that KitchenAid did not come through to help me out. In Nov. 2017 we installed KitchenAid double ovens, model KODE500EBS02. The ovens look very nice, but they are not for bakers. They take 10 to 15 minutes to preheat, they do not brown bake goods on the bottom, and they take longer to bake an item. The baked item is never done by the suggested time on a recipe. The ovens also bake hotter in the back. These were very expensive, so I am stuck with them, however, I would not recommend them to anyone else.

I have a french door refrigerator (Model KBFS22ECMS00 purchase date 1/27/15) and gas range (Model KGRS202BSS-1 purchase date 1/19/15) that have issues. I called 2 weeks before Thanksgiving about the freezer not maintaining temperature (set at -6 degrees, maintaining 6-15 degrees) at time of call. Several days BEFORE Thanksgiving, the refrigerator started doing the same thing (set as low as possible, maintaining 45+ degrees). On the day of Thanksgiving, my oven refused to maintain set temperature. It would get to temperature then the igniter failed to ignite the gas and maintain the set temperature. No smell of gas in the house.November 30 when service techs arrived, it was discovered my condenser leaked all the oil out and the compressor had locked up. They had to order parts. Had a service date of 12/16 to repair the refrigerator and troubleshoot the issue with the oven. Was called the day before by Video Tech Services (the servicing company) to cancel my service appointment because one of the refrigerator parts was on backorder. Called KitchenAid/Whirlpool early last week and lo and behold, THEY had the part that was on backorder so I have no idea where the service company is getting their parts from. Parts were sent to the service company 2 day shipping so they SHOULD have received it last Friday (12/18)... At the latest.I called KitchenAid/Whirlpool again on the Tuesday (12/22) since I had not received a scheduling call from the service company. Interestingly enough, the servicing company received the backordered part on SATURDAY (12/19) but had since FAILED to call for a service appointment. Now mind you, this is going into a SECOND MAJOR HOLIDAY without appliances. The service company finally called 30-45 minutes AFTER my call to the manufacturer. I am now scheduled for a repair on January 15 because I refused to take another day off from work (11/30) to accommodate them. I had taken the day off on 12/16 as well. Both appliances 10 months old (actually the refrigerator was 9 months old (delivery date of 2/22)) before failing and 60+ days before repair? Through two MAJOR holidays???

I purchased a KitchenAid side by side with french doors and an in-door ice maker. It retailed for around $3,000 and is by far the worst appliance I have ever owned. Periodically it runs very noisily. If the refrigerator door is left open for more that a brief moment, the ice in the bin begins to melt and fuses together and must be dumped. I have replaced the ice maker four times in the six years I have owned this refrigerator. Ridiculous for any unit but especially one in this price bracket. I attempted to contact customer service to discuss the fourth replacement of the ice maker but simply received a form letter indicating that they have no obligation once the warranty runs out. With all the other manufacturers available, select from one of those!

I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher May 2013. HORRIBLE. Within weeks, problems showed up. Wine glasses exploded in top rack, their shards damaging the engine. Food sticks and dries on dishes, requiring hand washing of ALL items first. Plastic mixing bowls melt in top rack. And that top rack, so flimsy, falls off its track at will. When I complained to KA, they said it was my tough luck and, because they dont replace their faulty products, that I should shell out more money for extended service. I did that. And wow, what a nightmare thats become! Horrible and rude technicians come out, late and almost always accusatory: dont use right detergent, dont use right amount of detergent. Today, the guy summarized, Youre having trouble because you dont know how to use a dishwasher. Time to cut my losses and frustrations and look for a reliable appliance, NOT KITCHENAID.

During a dinner party the week before Christmas, the oven door exploded in my 2 month old, second use of Superba model #KEB-277, which original cost is nearly $2,500. It took me being a proactive consumer, spending about 1/2 hour a day for 6 weeks for the final repair to take place. The first warranty repair company just did not show up for an appointment. Finally, it took to making two appointments with different companies just to make sure someone showed up to look at the problem. Second company was wonderful - however, it still took me being involved with KitchenAid Safety Division”, their customer service and HHGregg (who told me it wasnt their problem since the 30 day warranty had expired! ), to finally get pieces to repair the door.Since neither KitchenAid nor HHGregg saw any need to replace a defective product, I insisted on all 2 new pieces of glass, a new steel shell that had been dented with the explosion, and all new racks. The problem is behind me, but I will never purchase another KitchenAid appliance nor buy any product at HHGregg.

Bought a new side by side with ice maker from Sears in Feb 2012. By July noticed my floor was swollen and wet. Called the tech out. It had a crack in the water valve so it had a slow leak for months. The tech said he never sees these crack. Told me to call Whirlpool. Did, they told me to call Sedgewick which handles the insurance claims. Then Sedgewick told me they couldnt do anything because I didnt have the broke part. How is the average consumer suppose to know to keep it? The tech took it with him. How nice for them. Sedgewick told me to call Whirlpool back. Did, no answer. Had to leave message. Did that twice. Then I went to Sears, said they would look into it. Havent heard a peep. Needless to say have to turn it into my insurance for the 6000.00 damage to the floor you can see, doesnt include the sub floor that might be damaged or the mold that might be under there. This has been a ongoing thing for over a year. Never again will I buy anything Whirlpool or Sears. Customer service is awful. Now 2 of the knobs on the stove I bought at the same time will not turn. No quality built into these products!!

Kitchenaid dishwasher model kude201xwh6 - Oh how I wish that I had searched
Kitchenaid dishwasher model kude201xwh6 - Oh how I wish that I had searched your website for reviews prior to purchase! My situation sounds much the same as other reviews. The top rack rollers are simply defective. We have replaced ours through service calls and self repair no less than 5 times in the past 4 years. Finally on the last repair the technician completely replaced the roller and rack arms because the factory had recalled the parts. Yet, I wasnt notified of this by the company. My dishwasher had to break down first before the problem was addressed. To me this smacks of covert activity and doesnt promote my loyalty to the company. Additionally our motherboard has been replaced twice... The first replacement was defective. And today Im doing dishes by hand as the control panel is unresponsive again. We purchased the extended warranty - thank goodness, but again using a warranty on what will now be the 8th time a service tech comes to our home is ridiculous!! Worse yet when we talked to the service department, they have only documented three service calls! Whats that about?? In hindsight, I remember there was paperwork to sign on some calls and not on others. So, I cant prove or verify the number of visits through a paper trail. I would suggest always documenting whenever you call regarding your appliance or have a technician enter your home. Writing the dates, times, and contact person on the appliance manual would be an excellent place to store that information. With each service call the response time is getting shorter. Of that I am very thankful, but shame on any company that would have even three warranty service calls on a product! Buying an appliance shouldnt be a gamble; it should be a wise investment. We were thinking that perhaps the dishwasher was just a lemon. An oddity that the company would gladly replace. It does happen that for an unknown reason one will just be bad. Unfortunately, as I read these reviews, I dont see much hope of the situation being rectified to our satisfaction. I will pursue a request for replacement and hope the company will honor my consumer request. It appears their dishwasher line leaves much to be desired. Other review sites indicate that the KitchenAid dishwasher is better passed over for a more reliable brand. It is unfortunate as the dishwasher meets my expectations when it is operational. However, I will report any satisfactory outcomes I encounter through my attempts at recourse.

When I pulled the top rack out to unload it, the left side collapsed without any warning, spilling dishes and glasses down onto the crockery in the bottom rack and out onto the floor. When I looked for the cause, it was obvious that one of the two flimsy plastic “spring” pegs that retain each wheel of the upper rack on its axle had broken. This allowed the wheel to pull off the axle and thereby allow the entire left side of the top rack to collapse. It seems to me the axles on the rack adjuster (part number W10350376) are very poorly designed and is not made as solidly as the wheels on the lower rack. This is despite the fact that both upper and lower racks are of the same dimensions and so to me as an average consumer, both should be able to support a full load of dishes.

The dishwasher doesnt clean, it doesnt dry, you cant interrupt the cycle (add a dish) without starting over. I have to make sure the dishes are spotless before putting them in the washer. When the water filter needed to be replaced, I could not find the product and could not get the old filter out. I also learned that you had to open and close the doors a certain was to prevent the seal from cracking (not mentioned in the manual). The seal is cracking, plus the door handle has come loose and cannot be tightened. KitchenAid just sent me a warranty solicitation, and for $387.95 I can get a one year extended warranty on the fridge, which cost $1,799.99. We bought our KUDS301XWH6 dishwasher in the spring of 2012, and we have had nothing but trouble. Two wheels on the top rack have broken off, and the control panel only works when it wants to. Even flipping the switch on the circuit breaker doesnt work most of the time. Like others, we bought this *more expensive* machine because we wanted to buy an American-made product, and because we grew up with KitchenAid dishwashers that lasted, problem-free, for decades. We purchased this dishwasher (KUDE70FXPA3) and had it installed 6 months later when our kitchen renovation was finished. After one use, the door latch froze and it would not shut. A week later, the repairman came and reset the lock. When we tried to use it again a few days later (not used in the interim), the latch was frozen again. Out came the repairman with a new latch. All seemed well until the unit started to leak from the lower right side. The repairman cant explain it but is ordering a new seal. KitchenAid did extend the warranty for another year for free as we have only used the machine for six months and have been helpful, but I think it is a poor design. It is also supposed to be able to support a wood cabinet face. The springs are so weak that it barely holds it up. The repairman says it is the same with all of them. We bought this unit, our third KitchenAid dishwasher, because we loved the first two. Suddenly, there is a real quality problem and I would not be likely to buy another KitchenAid unit in the future. The customer service has been good but I really have little faith in the product. It seems like KitchenAid is experiencing the General Motors Syndrome. Hopefully, like GM, they recognize the problems and get back to building quality products. I still love our KitchenAid stand mixer.

I bought a KitchenAid refrigerator on 5/30/11. The divider between the 2 crisper drawers has broken 3 times. It is now out of warranty but even if I had purchased an extended warranty, I was told that its purely cosmetic and would not be covered. I am unable to use my crisper drawers, but was told it is strictly a cosmetic issue! In 2011, I replaced my microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher with KitchenAid products. I will never purchase another KitchenAid product again. I would have even been willing to pay the difference in price to replace the refrigerator as obviously, this one is defective. But I could not get past Your problem is merely a cosmetic one.

Stainless Steel KitchenAid Dishwasher Complaint - I bought this high-end dishwasher for $1,600 in 2006, and it has broken several times - replacing internal panel, internal control unit, and exterior touch pad within warranty period in which I had to pay for labor and miscellaneous parts. It now has another broken internal panel, internal control unit, which is out of warranty now. The GE authorized repairman said I have a lemon and it’s not worth fixing. GE has offered to pay for a few parts but not labor. Or, I need to buy a new one with a slight discount. I feel this is unreasonable since I have had major problems with this dishwasher lemon within warranty.

I filled out a complaint on 10/11/11. The repairman was at my house and replaced the motor on my 7-month-old dishwasher after waiting 3 weeks to get it repaired. It is now 10/21/11 and it broke again today. It was the same problem as last time, so I assume it needs a new motor again. I have to wait another 12 days just to get a service person to come out and look at it. Ill then be at over a month with a non-working brand new dishwasher in a 7-month period.

We purchased our top of the line Kitchenaid Gas Range/Oven in 2019. When we use the locking mechanism to lock the electronic panel on the top, it seems to work properly on the oven but it does not lock the range. As a result there have now been many times we brush by the knob for the gas range and it will begin leaking the gas without the ignite. This has happened numerous times even when my cat walks by, or we brush by the stove, unloading groceries. The knob turns slightly and the gas begins to leak. At one time we had the whole room fill up with gas bc we did not know it was on (we believe our cat must have brushed by) and the 12X24 room was filled with gas. I am working with the warranty team but this is a big safety concern for my family of 4 plus 2 pets.

WE bought a complete kitchen set but after one year the 4 lights in the top of the refrigerator stopped working. The place where we bought it, Heber Appliance, could not fix the problem because of the way its designed. It wasnt the bulbs but the wiring. So they gave us a deal on a new one. Now the exact same problem is occurring. The 4 lights in the top of the fridge started flickering a week ago and now are out completely after one year. We will never buy KitchenAid again ever!

Side by Side KSC24C8EYY01 - We put in a new counter depth KitchenAid refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago. The freezer recently stopped working for no apparent reason, then kicked back on after 24-36 hours. This has happened 4 times in less than 3 weeks. By the time the service man gets here to check it out, the freezer is back to working, and he cant find a problem. The 2nd time he called Whirlpool and went through an entire diagnostic testing and still found nothing. He thought the Whirlpool technician that he spoke to was not too bright, and actually rather rude and indifferent. The only recommendation they had was to replace the mother board for a cost of $800 - with no guarantee that replacing it will solve the problem - it was just a guess. The service man told us that he wouldnt buy a KitchenAid appliance for anything - their service department was difficult to work with and trying to get parts needed for repair can be a nightmare. We will NOT be repairing this refrigerator and we will NOT EVER purchase another Whirlpool appliance - EVER.

Today we replaced the motor and pump assembly which was not covered by warranty! This cost us a dear $440.00 with the labour. We are just in the process of replacing the left upper rack assembly (warranty item). We replaced our original dishwasher (Kenmore) because of the colour and decided to get a KitchenAid because our other appliances are KitchenAid. This was a huge mistake. The service guy has been out 4 times to my house and the refrigerator is still not working. I have called KitchenAid Customer Service several times. Today when I called to complain again... I was told if I wanted to buy another refrigerator from them they would give me 20%-60% off a new one or they could set me up with another Service guy and they would waive the $84.00 Service call but I would have to pay the labor charge but they could not come out for another 5 days. I had to remove the machine from the premises, due to the smell, and felt compelled to purchase a new dishwasher, even though there is still time left on my extended warranty. After Katrina devastated our home, we lost everything. My husband and I didnt have much to repair our home so when we had to select our major appliances we knew they had to last a very long time. We believed in the KitchenAid/Whirpool company. We purchased the stackable washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stove and french door fridge. Within the first two years the microwave went out. The cost of the repair was half the cost of the microwave. After that the fridge went out. We paid $265.00 for the repair. The following year the fridge went out again with the same cost in repair. Year 4 our washer went out with a part costing over $300.00. That same year my oven thermostat became a problem with a bill of $100.00 just to look at it. Now today after paying $198.00 for a repair guy to look at my fridge (which continues to run at 54 degrees) we learned that it will cost over $800.00 to fix the freon hose which is located behind a bunch of other parts and compressor. We trusted this company but it has been an expensive nightmare!!! We can not afford the repairs and the additional cost of wasted food and trips to the local laundromat each week. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM KITCHENAID/WHIRPOOL!!!! IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND YOU WILL SPEND JUST THE SAME ON REPAIRS. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE MY FAMILY LIVES EVERY DAY!! THEY SUCK!!

Shortly after they arrived I noticed that there were dents in the freezer door. They came to replace it. Then we noticed rust forming on the outside of the refrigerator. We had someone come and check it out. He told me to polish it more. That didnt change it in anyway. He came back out and said they will replace the doors. They ordered new ones. In the interim the new freezer door was getting rust on it. Then the compressor and the thermostat went out. They came to fix that problem. Now we are getting new doors and then they need to replace the freezer door. Now after all of this, the dishwasher is rusting. Our KitchenAid appliances have only been in our house for 4 and half months. I called the company, I called the place where we purchased them to replace them to no avail. We need help. Our KitchenAid dishwasher was purchased & installed about two and a half years ago (Dec 11). The model is KUDS35FXSS4 for over $1000 from HH Gregg Appliances. We also purchased the extended warranty which is thru Federal Warranty Service Corp. We are having the same, repeating top rake wheels failure (3 times so far - every 9 to 12 months) that many others are experiencing. 1st time was under warranty bought from them... Of course the ext warranty does NOT cover wheels and rollers so downtime, parts, labor, aggravation, etc is on us. Thought KitchenAid was a reputable brand like Maytag 20+ years ago (before they went out of business for poor quality and reliability).Wrote KitchenAid a letter explaining and complaining about our recurring issue over a month ago and have heard nothing. Like many others on this site wed thought there would have been a recall or a part redesign to address this design failure but we see no change in parts when we reorder, over and over again. Funny, the parts supplier acknowledged they are sending out a lot of this specific part to address this specific problem. Anyone know how to initiate a class action lawsuit? Based on all the responses read on this site looks like we certainly have the beginnings of one. With so many out of work lawyers right now it could be a way for some of them to get started. It goes without saying (but we are saying it anyway) we are forever done with any future KitchenAid appliances.

Purchased brand new stove, fridge and dishwasher (all Kitchenaid). Fridge and dishwasher so far are fine (its been a month) but the stove...MAJOR DESIGN FLAW! (model # KGRS303BSS1) Gas range will cause injury during normal use! I was using the top burners and oven at the same time to cook dinner (because people use stoves to eat) and after having it on for about 15 minutes or so, the knobs get SO HOT you BURN YOUR HANDS! This lesson was learned after my 20-month old son decided touching the knobs was a good idea and burnt both his hands. They stupidly put the venting for the oven in the FRONT of the stove just under the knobs for the burners instead of at the back of the range like most companies do. WHY? THIS IS STUPID! So, after being on hold and on the phone for almost AN HOUR, WAITING for the rep to schedule a technician to come out to look at the range to see there indeed is a design flaw when he can just look at a picture of it online as its THE SAME THING. So I hung up and decided to advise anyone and everyone NOT to purchase this stove unless youd like to burn yourself and your children every time you want to use the stove. Not to mention the RIDICULOUS wait times for the phone reps to do anything. Do not waste your money on this stove... and it wasnt cheap to begin with. Shame on you Kitchenaid!

My counter depth side by side fridge model KSC24cEYY02 was purchased 12/12. At the one year point I began having problems with the ice dispenser motor. It has now been replaced 5 times. The extended warranty company has been a horror. The contract says that if the part is replaced more than 3 times, the unit is considered a lemon. Then they tell me that the Lemon Law is not valid in NY. They also say that no matter how many times a part is replaced during a 120-day period it is considered one replacement. What??? Kitchen Aid Refrigerators Model KBFC42FTSOO - Shame on you KitchenAid. I have several media contacts and once they report on all this I am hopeful that consumers will boycott your product. I also bought a 6300.00 refrigerator from the Great Outdoors in 2011. They were closing and since Sears owned them I purchased a floor model that was on display in a cabinet but had no power on to it. So I figured I saved 1100.00 between the brand new one. Wrong, I was told by the salesperson that it was a new model but when it was delivered and I tried to register it, it was manufactured in 2007. I called the store and Sears but since my receipt was stamped no refunds or exchanges they got me good. So now 3 years later the damn thing never worked right from the start and I have called it a piece of ** from the beginning. Guess what, my control panel out!! They do not have the part, tsunami story told and then broken contract with other company. I immediately called KitchenAid because I could not believe what this Tech was saying. Either I find an outside company with a rebuilt Control Panel or I can wheel the refrigerator to the side of the and basically its junk. KitchenAid confirm that they did not have the part and that the manufacturer was destroyed in the tsunami and the other company that has been listed several of these others complain are no longer is willing to make the control panels for them. I might have a chance of them rebuilding one for me directly and proceeded to provide the phone number for me which was wrong having to call them back and spend another 30 minutes on the phone. Another woman gave me two different phone numbers, none of them worked as well. After the third phone call I was provided with a company name and phone number they gave me that will certainly sell me a rebuilt one. I just paid $1200 for a rebuilt board. Interesting enough this company is offering a 10 year warranty on a rebuild control panel however KitchenAid only offers a one year warranty. I am sure kitchen Aid knew there was problems with this board for years. They should have recalled that or extend the warranty. I have never heard of a company not having a part in to be able to fix these refrigerator when people have paid so much money for them. Unless you have a money tree in your backyard and are able to pick enough for a new $8500-$10,000 refrigerator which I do not. They should stock the part and be able to control the market from other outside companies hiking it up prices to their desperate customers that just need their refrigerators fixed, realistically the part probably cost about $2.00 to make. I called KitchenAid as well, they said theyre putting in my case up for review to do the prorated. Its changed. From what Ive heard $1500 doesnt equal $6000 and these parts are not that expensive to obtain. This is absolutely the most hideous thing Ive ever seen a company do. This is the United States. This is a huge corporation. I hope everyone never buys a KitchenAid product again. Why would anyone in their right mind take $1500 for refrigerator thats worth more so we have no choice but to go to outside venues for these parts? Again outrageous, ridiculous and the most disgusting thing a manufacturing company can do. If they’re so willing to cough up the prorated amount why dont they do the right thing and at least split the cost of the part with the consumer if theyre giving them willy nilly numbers of outside companies and not controlling the market. Why would a company offer a 10 year warranty and not the manufacturer? I have purchased KitchenAid products for years. My whole kitchen is full of this top-of-the-line series. I will be slowly changing every single KitchenAid product out of my kitchen and if I am going to spend the money on that type of product itll certainly be Sub-Zero that offers a 12 year warranty from top to bottom on the refrigerators. There are hardly any bad reviews about Sub-Zero. KitchenAids competitors seems like they at least know how to stand behind their consumer. Shame on you KitchenAid. This is disgusting. Oh by the way, the tech Whirlpool factory care that KitchenAid called for me cause if I used someone else, my what little of a piece of junk warranty is left would be void. Charged me $145.00 for call and removal of board and oh by the way I have to have him reinstall the board for another $145.00. Cause warranty on motor and compressor will be voided if I reinstall. Pissed off!!

After looking at various makes and models of ovens online, we purchased/ordered our KitchenAid wall oven (KEBS107) back in August 2012, waiting for over 2 months for the actual delivery of the new oven. Over the next year and a half, we had occasional issues with the oven not heating properly - sometimes it would pre-heat quickly - sometimes it would seem to take a very long time to reach the desired temperature - especially if I was needing to change the temperature during use. After 16 months of use, the thermal fuse had to be replaced. Apparently the oven door has to be closed at ALL times, especially when broiling. Now, after two years of use, the oven is acting up once again and not heating properly. I purchased an oven thermometer to verify this. KitchenAid is going to cover this 2nd repair, even though I was told that my ESP was not currently in effect (which is another frustrating story that I wont go into). I am thinking at this point that there is a major design flaw with this appliance. Having any sort of electronic/module located just over the opening of an appliance that can get very hot was probably not a good idea. If I cant open the door of a hot oven to check on or remove the contents inside, what good is it????? This oven has been nothing but frustrating pretty much since we bought it!

After purchasing and installing a new Kitchenaid Architect Series II convection wall oven (KEBS109SS), the noise from the convection fan was overwhelming. I removed the oven from the wall and opened the rear panel when I noticed that the fan motor was loose. Further investigation helped me determine that the mounting screws were accessible from the inside of the oven by removing the panel covering the fan. Once I tightened the mounting screws, the sound from the convection fan is almost unnoticeable. I can understand the complaints made from other Kitchenaid owners concerning the irritating fan noise. Hopefully, this simple repair will eliminate their problem so they too can enjoy their ovens too.

Kitchenaid French Door - I hate to give this one star when it deserves none
Kitchenaid French Door - I hate to give this one star when it deserves none at all. I paid over $3000 for this lump of useless metal 2 years ago and the repairs have been countless. Fortunately I also purchased a Sears Service contract. It is now on its fifth ice maker and has had fans, sensors and boards replaced. Admittedly all covered by the contract but the inconvenience involved is important. I just called for a service repair which will be in 8 days. When he comes, he will have to order a part and the appointment will be two weeks on from that. In the mean time we have to buy ice. I bought Kitchenaid because I thought they were reliable but never again. Surely someone makes a decent product.

I purchased this dishwasher about 5 years old based on the BEST BUY rating from Consumer Reports. What a mistake. I have had at least 4 issues with the left side of the top rack coming off the rails or leaning which causes the dishwasher not to start. The first time it happening the dishwasher was under warranty and the service guy said that this happens often with this model. Why has KitchenAid not recalled this machine?

I had a kitchen remodel done. I decided to replace my Samsung with a KitchenAid. I thought for once in my life I would like my appliances to match. The refrigerator works ok, BUT the noise is unbelievable! It rattles, pops and shakes. I am so sorry I purchased this! I have had service tech, told me that the vibration was from the motor and frame. Used a piece of tape to fix the problem. It didnt work. They sent another tech. He told me that it was the water reservoir. Order a new one and installed it. Noise is worse! When I called KitchenAid AGAIN, the service agent was rude and told me that if they sent another tech out there and the noise was not happening, I would be responsible for the charges. This noise is intermittent, happens maybe every hour or so. I am happy with the other appliances I purchased, but the overall experience with this refrigerator will end my relationship with KitchenAid for good.

I have a KitchenAid Refrigerator and Microwave Oven Combo which are 8 years old. The refrigerator went out on 11/26. My warranty was out so they sold me a 1-year extended for $429.00. A&E came out on December 3 to fix the refrigerator. The repair guy said it was the circuit board and would order it. He said it would take 1 week to get the part. The part never showed up and A&E called to find out if I received the part. The repair guy told me to move the fan to keep the refrigerator cool. He told me the part is back ordered until January 19. Now I am out of a refrigerator and freezer. I lost over $400 in food. I called KitchenAid back to get a tracking number for the part. They told me the part is due in on December 19th so I booked another appointment. After 15 calls to A&E and KitchenAid, I found out the part is now discontinued! And the reason is that KitchenAid stopped making it. But the system had a glitch and no one knew it was not coming in. Four weeks and still there is no working refrigerator. A&E came out to pull the circuit board to have it rebuilt. Another week before its fixed or is it? I called to get some sort of compensation and answers but again no one knows what is going on. I got mixed answers to my questions. I will never buy another KitchenAid appliance! Then the spring on my microwave/oven went out. They sold me another warranty for $350.

I purchased 3 new KitchenAid appliances after having my Sears brand for many years 20 plus and not having one issue with them in that time period. I have had my KitchenAid appliance for less than 3 mos when I started to have problems with the french door model making funny loud noises when making ice. It took 3 service calls before they could resolve the problem. Now after a year, it is doing it again. Called the service dept and they are less than helpful to help remedy the problem, which is a defect from the start. My KitchenAid double oven after 6 months needed repair. During a Thanksgiving meal, it refused to heat up to the desired temperature needed. Again, another call to service man, time off from work to wait. The problem was covered under warranty. It took the service department two times to get the problem fixed. This should not be happening to a new appliance, unless it is terrible workmanship from the factory. Now, after a year and a half, my KitchenAid dishwasher is having leakage problems. It has not paid to spent the money they ask for these appliances and get such faulty appliances. NEVER AGAIN KITCHENAID!

We purchased 6 years ago and have had non-stop issues with it. It stops working after about 10 min., then you have to push a few buttons and then it works for about 10 more min. until it stops again, and then finally you have to start the whole cycle over and then it will complete. Its like washing dishes twice! It takes about 2-3 hours for a complete cycle. Also there is a smell that is terrible and after trying dishwashing cleaners, it still smells. Finally, every few months Ive had to take the whole thing apart to clean out the filter area to try to rid the smell. Ive never had so much trouble with a dishwasher!!!! This was a top of the line and expensive model too. :(

22.6 ft counter-depth model ksc23c8eyy02 - Weve had this fridge for over a year and after the third service call, should have sent it back as a lemon. We bought a Kitchen Aid because the one we were replacing is a 17-year-old Kitchen Aid SuperBa thats now in our garage, still working. Number of service calls in past year: 3, soon to be 4. We bought a Lowes extended warranty so I have only been dealing with Lowes contract service, not KitchenAid. I have no complaints about KitchenAid service, just the quality of their product.Pros: I gave it an extra star because its so pretty. Cool functionality, easy to keep clean. Stainless surface will hold magnets, too. Cons: Ice maker has only worked twice. Ice freezes into a large block since its on the door. We buy ice and pour it in, but the ice dispenser freezes up and does not dispense at all. Lowes contracted service technicians replaced the ice maker at 5 months after purchase and it worked for about a month before it stopped making ice again. I have not had time to call and take a day off work for yet another service call. Water dispenser doesnt work unless fridge temp is set above 40 F. The technician explained that the engineering is such that the water line is too close to the coils as it passes through the fridge and it freezes. So, the water line freezes and does not work unless you keep the fridge above 40F (and then the milk goes bad before the date during the summer months). The doors are not balanced or smooth in closing and the freezer door has been left a crack open several times because you have to push it to make sure its closed. They have been here to adjust the doors at least twice. I am so very disappointed in this fridge. I have many Kitchen Aid appliances and was always willing to pay extra for the quality, but I didnt get that this time.

I bought a very expensive Kitchen Aid Stove 5 years ago with an extended warranty for 5 years. The control panel for the oven never worked. It would not turn off. I had to turn off the power to the stove. I called Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool and they were no help and told me it would cost $150 for a local repair man to come to the house.Recently, I woke up to the control unit on fire with billowing smoke coming out of the top. Still Kitchen Aid would do nothing.I am in no position to buy a new stove right now. Clearly Kitchen Aid does not stand behind their product. And they ask you not to write in caps? Why, to hide the anger that we have towards a once superior, now inferior company that sells throw away products? It is an outrage.

We purchased a KitchenAid SuperBa double oven KEBC207KSS05 a couple of years ago and have had it repaired 4 times already. Two times because the control panel went out because it got too hot the repair person said. The fan became very loud and we had to replace that and the fourth time was because the upper oven stopped working but the lower oven still worked. Since the fan was replaced, the oven still makes the control panel get too hot and everything totally shuts off. After it cools down, the panel comes back on. Cant bake anything over 375 degrees it appears, or it shuts off. One piece of advice from the repairman, besides not using the self clean is to cut a large rectangle out of the side of the cabinet and put a steel vent cover over the hole. I shouldnt have to cut a part my cabinet in order to have this crappy oven work better. The double oven we had in before the KitchenAid was a Kenmore from 1992 and still worked perfectly and never gave us a lick of trouble. Now we need to scrap this one and look to spend money that we shouldnt have to. Its so hard to believe that the workmanship at KitchenAid is so bad. Where is their pride?

The fill valve did not shut off and the Kitchen Aid dishwasher (KUDS30IXBL) overflowed and flooded. I believe the problem is a design error. Probably a weak return spring that causes the valve to chatter when it tries to close. I could hear the water hammer in the pipes. The unit was locked in that hammer mode even when I pulled the power plug. I had to turn off the water supply to stop the cycle.I called for repair and tech came right out and replaced the fill valve. The unit worked well for about a week but problem returned yesterday. I turned down the supply line flow to see if that worked. I restricted the flow too much and unit did not fill properly. I turned the flow back up some and am monitoring. I am so sad to have to go through this with what USED TO BE such a fine appliance brand.

I have a KitchenAid Superba double wall oven (#KEBC208KSS) needing a new electronic panel. It no longer cleans and the oven light doesnt always turn off. I have been told it needs a new panel (again). This is my second KitchenAid Superba oven. I replaced the last oven because the panel had to be replaced three times but only twice under warranty. Then we moved and the house we bought had the same ovens. The cost of these panels installed is now nearly $500 with only a 90-day warranty! I also have a hard time believing KitchenAid continues to make a faulty product and sells it for nearly $3,000. Ive ordered new ovens of different brand. I have the Kitchenaid electric double oven range model YKFED500ESS2. Its just my spouse and I here and we rarely use the oven at all, let alone the top oven. I wanted to use it one day, and noticed that all of the paint/enamel in the recessed corner of the rectangular indent at the bottom of the oven, was chipping off and cracks forming along the entire edge. The enamel chips were about 1/16 inch thick, and coming off in chunks and strips. My oven is about 16 months old, but I think this problem started before I noticed it. Of course, you can now assume that this oven is just off its warranty. I called Kitchenaid to complain and see if they would cover this DEFECT. They said nope... Its off warranty and just cosmetic. I ask you... If you bought a brand new car and the paint fell off it less than a year and a half later... Would you be happy? Needless to say, I am NOT happy and I will NEVER buy a Kitchenaid product of any kind again. They obviously make poor quality products and you are SOL when their stuff falls apart right after the warranty is over. I also have had issues with the fridge I bought at the same time... We bought a brand new KitchenAid dishwasher from a wholesale dealer in Mississauga, Ontario less than a year ago with a 3-year extended warranty. Seven weeks ago, the fuse burnt and had we not stopped the machine, there could well have been a fire hazard. The repairs was called via the wholesale dealer who directs you to KitchenAid head office who eventually send a repairman who tells us that the parts have to be ordered and will be in touch. Weeks drag into months and it 7 months now. The handler for the company incidentally is in the USA and we live and bought the equipment in Canada. Multiple calls followed and we are offered a 3-year extended warranty to placate our annoyance. It seems 94 people ahead of us are waiting for their parts. Threats to reach the decision makers are blocked. We are given 48 hours notice which turns to 3 days. We are thinking of connecting with the Toronto newspapers and the Better Business Bureau. Where else can we complain where it will be noticed by other consumers and heed taken?

Our KitchenAid dishwasher was purchased about two and a half years ago. The
Our KitchenAid dishwasher was purchased about two and a half years ago. The model is KUDS301XSS1 for over $1000 from HH Gregg Appliances. One and a half years into its use, it had a repair for $215 for a $30 fuse. The rest was labor because nothing on the dish washer would operate. The compartments that hold the knives, forks and spoons in place are held up on the sides of the utensil tray by bread twiggies to keep them from constantly falling into the respective sections. If anyone is experiencing this problem, the twiggies have been working now for over a year. The bottom panel which is plastic is held to the metal frame with cheap plastic that breaks. It is now held on by, you guessed it, another bread twiggie. Last week, the roller on the upper rack broke off of the cheap plastic spindle that holds it to more plastic parts on the rack. Now it is engineered by an ingenious screw washer fed by a strong plastic tie through a small washer fed through the opening of the roller and twisted onto the plastic frame on the upper rack. This works as long as one doesnt force the rack open. One should note that the end stops on the rack are made up of more cheap plastic parts that are quite fragile and will probably break in time. The dishwasher does clean dishes and is silent, but the cheapness of all these parts leaves me with one opinion - KitchenAid and Whirlpool do not care about making a good appliance. The KitchenAid was a replacement for two previous Whirlpools that gave decent service. I sold appliances in the past and know that KitchenAid made by Hobart was quite a top of the line dishwasher. My advice now - not worth the purchase price, not worth buying so let buyer beware. Because of this atrocious record, the rest of the new appliances in our kitchen went to Frigidaire. I have read many other complaints from others on the internet about this fuse that keeps going out. My repairman left the instructions for replacement so I can do it myself.

We purchased this refrigerator, along with an entire line of KitchenAid app
We purchased this refrigerator, along with an entire line of KitchenAid appliances (dishwasher, stove, microwave, even a toaster oven). It has been a disaster since day one. The doors have never aligned correctly (as seen reviewed before) and the ice maker stopped working early on and water ran and ruined my wood floor (as reviewed before). But, the main problem is with the coils in the refrigerator that consistently ice up, allowing no air flow, therefore no cooling (which has been reviewed before). Obviously, this leads to spoiling food, which we have replaced numerous times due to the problem. Now, we keep a thermometer in it at all times, so once we see it start getting warmer, we have to take apart the refrigerator to defrost the ice that has covered the coils. We have had this problem serviced four or five times. Each time replacing various parts... the last time pretty much replacing EVERYTHING INTERNALLY.The service techs admit this is a problem, due to the dual compressor KitchenAid tried to do with this model. Even store salespeople admit it didnt work and has been changed. Well, enough is enough. I want a new refrigerator, not a replacement, not any more service calls. But, I have been told that I need to wait until it fails again, then call customer service again to report the problem. Someone will have to come out again and assess the problem... Should I just leave the rancid food in there for them to take back to KitchenAid with them once they come? Come on KitchenAid... read the file. Its all there in black and white... every single service call. Time to fess up and fix the problem, with a NEW refrigerator.

In April, I unfortunately spent $9,000.00 on KitchenAid/Whirlpool appliances. Since then, I have had problems with the refrigerator. 3 service calls! Now it is Christmas Eve and the refrigerator is not cooling. I am having 22 people to dinner on Christmas. The repair man came and told me that it needs a new compressor. To make matters worse... it needs to be ordered. A 6 month old refrigerator should not need a new compressor! Obviously, it is a lemon. Called Customer Service. Apparently, KitchenAid has no customer service. I requested a new refrigerator because I do not want to keep fixing a defective product. What happens when the warranty runs out? Spoke to a CSR and her supervisor. Just kept reciting the script. Under my warranty... the compressor is a replaceable part so I can not get a new refrigerator. I know that the CEO Jeff Fettic wouldnt want the repaired defective refrigerator either! So then I asked KitchenAid to find a compressor and install it so I can host the XMAS dinner. I was told that is not possible. Best they could do was overnight it and since tomorrow is Christmas, the part would not be shipped until Thursday. KitchenAid is not only ruining my Christmas dinner but it sounds like I wont have a working refrigerator for a while. Not even sure if they really are having the part overnighted. Bottom line.... KitchenAid does not care about a customer once you buy their products. No effort on their part, no matter what the circumstances! I am up the creek regarding my Christmas Dinner and they dont give a damn. Additionally, KitchenAid doesnt want to replace the refrigerator because they will get more money for all the parts the defective unit will need in the future. Or maybe I will buy an extended warranty! Do not buy KitchenAid. It is now December 27th and I still do not have a working refrigerator!

Kitchen-Aid model KUDE70FXSS4 - This dishwasher has a problem with the top
Kitchen-Aid model KUDE70FXSS4 - This dishwasher has a problem with the top rack that keeps rolling out when trying to load dishes into the bottom rack. I’m unable to adjust the level to allow the top drawer to stay in place because the rear of the washer has wheels and they have no height adjusters, and you cannot raise the front using the adjusters provided because it is as high as it can go, as the counter top will not allow further height adjustment.I noticed a part on the top drawer that connects to the water system for the top rack rotating spray wand had protruding plastic fingers that fit into female slots in the back of the washer. The fingers did not have any detents that would hold the rack in place. I added a detent to each finger, and now when you push the rack in, it locks it in place. They must have forgotten to include this in their design. If they would have provided adjusters on the back wheels, we could have lowered the back and the top rack would have stayed in position by gravity. However, I think the added detents to the fingers is a better solution as this locks the rack in place and gravity allows the rack to stay out when loading dishes. I hope this helps anyone else that has this same problem.

KitchenAid electric range # KERS807SSS00. I am very disappointed in KitchenAid! They don’t deserve a star! Because They sold out to Whirlpool to avoid covering their poorly built products that should’ve had been recalled or, came up with a seal to prevent control board burnout! This is my second spillover and the dash control panel is burned out again. At least the range does work because it’s independent from the oven, you do need the control panel to operate the oven. I called KA which is Whirlpool now. Whirlpool, simply have a way of not covering any warranties on KA. They always have an excuse. Or, there’s no record of a complaint by me or by anyone else on this issue!I find that hard to believe because I had a spillover and I called and complained to KA within two months of purchase about the faulty glass top (No Seal) to prevent spillovers from the glass top to the bottom of where the control board burned out. Which they did cover because it was during the warranty period. And their excuse was, “Didn’t you read the manual?” Well No Maam! I didn’t! This is the third one in my family, and there’s been spillovers and nothing was blown out!! I should have realized. They had General Electric ranges. At the cost of $ 480.00 plus labor for the part. We will rather buy a new range other than KA or Whirlpool or any other products made by them!! In the meantime, I’ll be grilling out on the grill ☀️????

I bought a Kitchenaid dish washer (KUDS30IXSS8) based on my experience of decades of reliable, high quality product ownership. If you are reading this, you already know what a complete piece of junk your dish washer is because youre once again repairing the thing. My upper dish rack height adjustment mechanism self destructed after only one year, sending small pieces of plastic into the water flow. Of course they ended up in the food chopper and thus, trashed the blade and plastic shaft assembly. Whirlpool refused to send the part, even though the flawed design from the rack mount is what caused the damaged. They wanted to order a service call, at my expense, or they offered me an extended service plan for $270. The part only cost around $12 from from Amazon. There was plenty of how-to videos on the web to show you how to fix the part, so I opted to fix it myself. The new part looks exactly the same with no structural improvements so Whirlpool continues to put out inferior parts to go perfectly with their inferior products.
