In June of 2014 I bought a new French door LG fridge ($2199) for our new home from Sears Canada. From the minute it was plugged in it squealed randomly and has a constant humming/vibrating noise that is well above just annoying. As a point of reference, we have an almost identical LG at the cottage and it is basically noise free. I have been quite patient about getting the noise corrected as it seems to function well except for how noisy it is. The authorized LG repair tech was there today for the second time and had the gall to tell me it seems not bad, I asked him to leave and go have another drink as the alcohol coming off him would serve a college fraternity well.Almost one year later I still have an annoying buzz coming from my new LG refrigerator and zero satisfaction in getting this remedied. At this point I fully expect LG to delay this until the one year warranty is up and say sorry, nothing we can do. Fortunately, I have lawyers in my family and this matter is far from over. As many others have said, THIS WILL BE MY LAST LG PRODUCT regardless of the ultimate outcome. There is no need in this day and age to put up with this level of customer service.

My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise.
My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise. I looked up my problem on the internet and found that my unit has a know frost buildup issue. I called LG since it was still under warranty. They diagnosed the unit over the phone and scheduled a service appointment for me. A new control panel was mailed out to me. The tech was supposed to be at my home between 8 am and noon yesterday. I received a phone call the night before confirming him for between 10 and noon. The tech did not show up until 1:05. He then proceeded to empty out my fridge, remove all of the shelves and the bins. The vent behind the veggie bin was encrusted with ice which he melted and chiseled away. Then the back panel inside was removed which revealed the entire coil frozen and encrusted with ice. It took until after 3 PM for him to melt all of the ice which resulted in my having towels both wet and dry all over the kitchen, a bucket for the excess water, not to mention my food, bins and shelves strewn about. The tech pulled out the fridge and replaced the control panel on the back. Then came the process of putting everything back together and putting all of the food back in. I then had to wash a load of towels and clean the fingerprints and streaks off of the stainless steel fridge. Well the first thing that I noticed was the once firm and solid bin holder now wobbles. But that is not the worse part, the worse part is that today, one day later, the fridge has begun to make the same sound and the ice is already forming around the vent. I was assured the control panel (brain) would fix the problem. Well it seems to me that this is not the case and I know have to go through this again not knowing if the LG tech can figure out what actually is wrong. I called for another appointment and was told that as of now none is available for Monday or Tuesday so I have to call back on Monday to see when the next available appointment will be. Why should a new appliance have these issues? Why shouldnt an LG tech be able to diagnose and fix the problem on the first business? Why shouldnt I be able to get an immediate appointment for a return visit to rectify the problem? Im regretting my decision to go with LG. I should have purchased a Samsung refrigerator. I own an LG Phone, an LG smart TV and this refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG product again. Am I expected to miss another day of work to be available for service, suffer the mess and inconvenience of the repair process and then not know if after the second visit if it will be fixed or not?

Updated on 11/08/2019: Have had an ongoing problem with a compressor on an LG refrigerator that is 5 years old and no it out. When the service tech came out on 10/24, the unit was eligible to be fixed free of charge, (which they told me would cost hundreds of dollars). When I complained to LG via ConsumerAffairs, they posted this response on 11/07. When I called them today to inquire about getting it fixed free, they said that now that is was November, we no longer qualified since it was now more than 5 years old, (by 7 days since it was manufactured in October of 2014). Why would they tell me this and then recant it? See screenshot below.... Beware of LG Refrigerators and LG in total, I have two of these refrigerators and their TVs.Original Review: The compressor on our LG refrigerator went out after just 5 years, although its under warranty, it doesnt cover Labor which turn out is several hundred dollars. In addition, it takes weeks to get the parts, not fun when your fridge is down for several weeks. I have two LG refrigerators that we spent more than $2,000 for each....terrible investment. Beware of LG refrigerators.

LG Counter Microwave 1260SW/1260SB - After three years of use, not daily, there was burning smell coming out of the side vent and a grinding sound inside. I contacted LG and they said it sounded like the magnetron. LG said it sounded like the magnetron, which was covered under a 10-year warranty and then referred a local repair shop. We took it in. They charged us $50 for a diagnostic test and $46.02 for labor for the magnetron. Two days later, we brought it home and the situation was worse than when we took it in. Back to the repair shop we went and the shop called saying it was the fan motor. Well, they wanted another $50 for labor and parts. After refusing to pay any more labor costs, they fixed it. The only parts were for a stirrer motor and stirrer support and another $26. We got it home, plugged it in, and turned it on. Inside lit up like a neon light and it started sparking. Light was so bright and sparks so bad, my husband and I thought it was going to blow up. Back to the shop it went. They put a container of water inside, no sparks or excessive lighting happened, so they deemed it fixed. I refuse to use it. We paid almost as much in repair bills as we did in purchasing it. As much as I loved the horseshoe design inside the microwave, this was just too much hassle, expensive and time consuming to repair. I had also contacted two other small appliance places to see if we were being ripped off. Both told me they refuse to work on LG small appliances. They either couldnt get the parts or it took a week or more to get them in, inconveniencing their customers. No more LG appliances for us.

Machine does not fully drain, allowing a smell to build up and be washed back into your clothes. Difficult to clean debris from drain holes in rubber seal. In the event that you need to drain the machine, there is no drain function. It needs to be manually drained from a tiny hose at the bottom of machine. And for us, that meant into a hose, through the garage and down the driveway. Look for a drain feature on my next purchase!

I thought LG was a good brand name so when we were looking for refrigerators, I was drawn to the style of the French door fridge and we chose it. I wish Id looked at this site first! Exactly three years to the day after purchasing it, it shut down. My freezer was packed and everything had to be thrown out! The fridge stayed cool long enough to salvage some of the contents. Ok, so sometimes products fail, right? Their customer service is THE WORST. They could not be less helpful if they set out to do it! I called the first time and was told by a sugary sweet computer voice that they were too busy and she hung up on me!The next day when I called back I was told by the same computer that my wait would be 7 minutes. The next time my wait time was announced it was 8 minutes. Wait, what? When I finally got to speak to someone, he treated me like an idiot suggesting I didnt have it set on the right temps or didnt close the freezer door correctly. He was infuriating because he knew nothing and was operating from a script that meant he wasnt even thinking. It would have been nice if somewhere they said gee, thats awful. Were sorry. We hope to make it up to you. A friend who works in the electronics field said LG is notorious for not backing up their product. Im going to say this. I wish Id listened to my husband and selected the Samsung fridge!!! Ill never buy another LG appliance again.

I purchased a fridge from Home Depot on July 18th 2020, May 20th 2021 it started making noises and read an ERROR CODE, I called LG the first available day, I was sent thru the warranty service company and dealt with them scheduling a tech that didnt come prepared with the correct equipment to even work on the thing, then was told the wrong parts were ordered, waited on new parts and then the warranty company kept scheduling a tech that wasnt certified to work on the fridge so the system was cancelling the appointment. Finally on June 15th I spoke with a case manager at LG who assured me she was the one dealing with my case and would have it taken care of in 7-10 business days.On June 29th I received a text message asking for yet another picture of the product tag located inside. Which I immediately returned.. I lost over $500 dollars in food and was refunded $200 for that.. Now here we are July 9th. I called today to see what was going on, the rep would NOT give me her name, she called me a liar and hung up on me, when I called back to ask for a supervisor I was told there were NONE available and it would take 72 hours for one to get in contact with me. At this point I will be contacting a lawyer to see what the next steps are that can be taken, this has been the worst experience EVER. I have children and going almost 2 months without a fridge is UNCALLED FOR.. I would not recommend buying any LG PRODUCTS because the customer service and the warranty company they deal with are terrible!!!!

Bought an LG suite of appliances for the kitchen remodel. Every piece except the microwave has had to be serviced right after the warranty expired. The dishwasher drain stopped functioning, the freezer drawer would not stay on the tracks, and the oven’s control panel got super hot when baking and after a couple of calls to troubleshoot that never fixed it, I tried to run a self-clean and the control panel got so hot it fried the oven completely and it went black and stayed locked. Been waiting two weeks for extended warranty to send out a repair guy. A couple of boxes of parts was mailed to me but still no idea when the repair will take place. Two weeks and counting with no stove/oven is terrible!

We bought a LG manufactured french door refrigerator from Sears in July of 2015 and it failed July 2020. Beautiful fridge to look at, but thats it. Firstly the freezer can no longer keep ice cream and certain other products. Secondly, the slim-line ice maker located in the door will not dump the ice in the container. Thirdly, the mullion (between the french doors) will not operate properly. The Sears technician came today found that the COMPRESSOR is failing and the BOARD is no good. To replace both will cost me about $900. He said LG is aware of these COMPRESSORS failing and that there is a class-action lawsuit against LG. My previous Sears refrigerator (manufactured by Whirlpool) lasted over 20 years. I have a number of LG products in my home, a television which works fine, two computer monitors which work fine, three window air conditioning units (two 8000 btu units and one 18,000 btu unit purchased in 2007). The COMPRESSOR on the 18,000 btu unit has been out for the last 7 years. I will no longer buy LG products.

Major issue: EASY CLEAN is not. There is no self clean feature which seems unbelievable in a $775 range. We like others (we with two new knees) used the easy clean three times exactly how suggested in Manual. Also after 2 phone calls (and later 3 emails) was told to bake at 375 degrees with water (like in easy clean method). Later told to try mixing vinegar and baking soda. NO luck. If I may also mention setting the timer to either bake start/stop or to simply use the timer usually turns oven off. Not sure how to overcome or understand that process. There are a few other suggestions but if only the oven would get clean we could use the oven w uncovered dishes, steaks, etc.

First washer for me. Going to washaterias 55 years, not anymore. I researched item for years, paying attention to what was new, reading Consumer Reports etc. When I got my first home a few months back, I knew what to do. I set up alerts and bought the LG Direct Drive. Its spin speed lets me just hang clothes overnight with a fan, no need for dryer. OK, I couldnt afford a dryer so a faster spin cycle was very important. Machine is excellent.

I purchased a LG electric range Model No. LRE30453ST on 11/25/2011 for $885.90 from Home Depot. Unfortunately I hardly used the oven to realize I was sold a defective range. The electronic control pad does not work for any of the oven options because the start sensor is defective. I called both Home Depot (Store 2901 - 228-867-9925) and LG (1-800-243-0000) customer service departments. I was told by LG they only have a one year warranty on their products and Home Depot told me that they only have a two year warranty period. All I know is that I have basically a new appliance that took me 1 years to pay off and it is now nothing more than a decoration taking up space in my kitchen. Shame on LG Electronics and Home Depot for selling defective appliances. I make just a little over minimum wage and have no way to purchase a new range. This makes me so mad. I have had ranges that lasted over 20 years and now my range just sits there doing nothing!

We live in Westchester County in NY. I spent $3,000 on a counter-depth french door with linear compressor, the model number was LFXC24726S. Well, it only lasted two and half years, then suddenly one day it stopped cooling. Contacted LG directly and they told me to call a local authorized repair shop for a checkup. It took days for the local shop to answer my phone call and then another few days for a appointment. The technician told me the linear compressor was gone and needed to be replaced. Also the circuit board was faulty, it resulted in lower voltage than normal. Although the compressor was covered under the warranty, its value was only $360. It is the labor to replace it my friend that is expensive, about $1100. Even if I had it fixed, its not guaranteed to last another year. So I just decided to buy a new one. This time its not going to be LG.

I purchased a double door with bottom freezer, an LG refrigerator model LFD22860. One year after purchase, the cover on the electronic control started to melt (was covered under warranty). Two years later, the right side door seal ripped, and I called the warranty service line. I was told it’s the first time they hear of this problem, and that my warranty was over anyway. I had it fixed by a local repair company at $189.71 for a seal. Immediately within 24 hours, the door was rubbing with other side and started to get damaged. I called the service company to verify if it’s an alignment issue, but the doors are fixed on dowel pins and cannot be aligned! The only thing we could do is to put Vaseline to the doors often (RIDICULOUS). Anyway, even with Vaseline both sides, it ripped within a few months (I wasn’t about to pay $400 for seals!). It doesnt end here. Upon closer inspection, we noticed approximately ten cracks everywhere inside the fridge. This absolutely DISGUSTED me. We paid $2200 for this pile of junk, thinking it would last us for some time. Im fed up of big name companies getting away with cheap products sold in todays market. All they could tell me was that my warranty was over and that they cant do anything about it. Since then, I have never bought another product from them, and never will including my family & friends.

One never-ending nightmare! I ordered an LG Dishwasher (LDF5545BD) from Homedepot.com on Jan 15th, 2021. As I write this today (February 19th, 2021), I still do not have a working dishwasher after spending nearly $900! The 1st dishwasher arrived on Jan 21st, 2021 but I quickly realized the unit wouldn’t dry the dishes (even with the Extra Dry setting). An appliance associate at my local Home Depot in Austell, GA, Mr. Scott ** was very helpful in helping me contact LG to report the problem. LG decided to replace the unit which was delivered on February 7th, 2021. The installers told me they could not install it fully because it is connected electrically and they’re not supposed to deal with wires without some other attachment. Why was I not told about that beforehand or from the previous installers? Anyway, this second unit did not dry my dishes either. Called support and they told me to use Rinse Aid. I did not feel like I should have to now not only buy dishwasher detergent but also Rinse Aid. So I initially refused to add a rinse budget to my expensive non-working dishwasher purchase. A repair technician was sent out from National Platinum Service in Columbus Georgia. That technician came 13 minutes early, rang my bell, and left 12 minutes before my service window time. They sent another technician the next day who also told me I should add Rinse Aid. After doing very little to check the unit he asked me to sign and he left. I gave in and bought some Rinse Aid and then ran my dishwasher again and then again using the Rinse Aid and varying settings (like High Temp, Extra Dry, etc). No luck – dishes, racks, and inside the unit is soaking wet! LG will have you being transferred to several people who either can’t see the details of my problem or will keep you on hold so long that when someone does speak with you there is a 4-second audio delay added to uncompassionate customer service. LG says they won’t replace it with a different model or refund me so I’m stuck with an $800 paperweight. I cannot reach Mr. Scott at Home Depot and LG won’t budge (because they really, really must need my $800). They want to send another repairman as if I broke it. This is terrible!

Updated on 05/22/2020: Our refrigerator died on May 8th and now 15 DAYS LATER we still do not have a resolution from LG. I just tried calling the latest number they gave us to call puts you on hold for 10 minutes and then hangs up on you. I have wasted 40 minutes so far trying to talk to a person. I am on medication that suppresses my immune system which makes my in an at risk category for COVID. We were trying to limit our trip out during this time but now my husband has to do daily shopping because we have no frig - putting me at more risk. This is all absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to have a company have no regard for an essential item like a refrigerator and the impact that has on your daily life when you dont have one.Original Review: We purchased a new LG Refrigerator in March of 2018 on night Thursday, May 7th the refrigerator completely died. To add insult to injury, my husband has just gotten groceries that day, so the frig and the freezer were fully stocked, and we lost almost everything. We contacted LG first thing Friday morning and had to leave a message with a call back number. They never called us back, so on Saturday morning, we called again, and this time spoke with a person who only told us that it seems that the linear compressor has failed and she would put in a request for a local service provider to contact us.It is now Monday, May 11th, and we still have not been contacted by a service provider. During this time of COVID-19 we are trying very hard to only go to the store once a week for essentials. This is next to impossible now that we are living out of an ice chest and a tiny dorm/beverage refrigerator that we have in our entertainment room. After doing some research online, I discovered that the linear compressor failing after about 2 years is extremely common and that LG has known about the problem since 2014 but continues to manufacture and sell these faulty products. We also talked to a local appliance repair company, and they will NOT service LG refrigerators. They did not feel right about installing the new linear compressors in peoples refrigerators because it is the exact same part (the linear compressor), and it just ends up failing again. They did not want their companies reputation ruined by LGs faulty parts. So here we are, no refrigerator and no service. I am beyond disappointed LG. We spent close to $3000 on this refrigerator, and my husband is currently out of a job, so we do not have any money to have to buy a new refrigerator right now.

Of course he didnt have any parts on hand even though LG assured me he would so I wouldnt have to wait for parts and miss more work for the tech to come back. The ice maker design is defective. Bought a Lg Refrigerator model #LMXS30776S. Production date 4-2015. Linear compressor failed and neither section will cool. All food went bad and I’m disabled on a fixed income. This is the second time this has failed on this exact refrigerator. Customer should not be responsible for any charges including labor because it is a flaw in the design and LG knows this and continues to manufacture “linear” compressors that they know have issues and have several lawsuits for. My refrigerator should be fixed free of any charges as it is their design flaw. I can not afford labor charges to fix this overpriced paperweight or sealed cupboard because that’s all it is good for now. Didn’t last more than 5 years with an already replaced compressor. Shame on LG not taking responsibility for their design flaws and putting the stress and costs on customers.

I purchased extended warranties to cover the repairs, but the inconveniences Ive experienced and the nature of the failures of this product are not justifiable for a dishwasher in this price range and of its age.

I chatted online with an agent and this person (Gus). He asked me for all the information and also stated there was no service for my area and that he would talk to a supervisor to call me. This has not happened (7/18/13). On Monday 7/22, I called LG and the person (Richard) told me that all I had to do was to rearrange the clothes I was washing. I told him that was not a solution and I wanted it to be replaced or money refunded. There was a lot of discussion and then he told me that a repair person (who I need to call instead of them) would charge me for the service, which I refuse to do since this is a new appliance. I went to the store I bought the washer from (HHGregg) and the store manager called LG and there was no solution to the problem. I am not willing to keep this washer giving me such hard times!!

I bought a beautiful French Door refrigerator and purchased an additional 4 year extended warranty. Three weeks ago it went on the fritz and stopped cooling and freezing. I called LG who scheduled an appointment with A&E Factory Service. Two service appointments later, my fridge still isnt fixed and I have to wait until December 3rd for the next appointment. Four weeks without a refrigerator is truly unacceptable. Worst customer service EVER!!!!

We also bought the top load model 4801 and it was defective out of the box. It shredded (snagged) several items of clothing (shirts, sheets, etc.). LG said they were only obligated to repair it, meaning take it apart and replace the drum assembly, etc. I said that wasnt acceptable. The service tech, even though he saw and documented the damaged items, could not find a specific problem with the unit. Because of that, they refused to pay for any damages their machine caused, instead stating there is nothing wrong with the machine. I argued until I was blue in the face. They would not budge. They would not let me talk to someone higher up. They gave me bogus phone numbers and e-mail addresses of people to whom I could escalate my complaint (the e-mails were returned as undeliverable and the phone numbers were not valid). Thank goodness Home Depot gave us a replacement machine against the wishes of LG. Pray that you never need service for any LG product or you will regret it from the start. I like to refer to them as the axe murderers of customer service, the worst I have ever experienced.

LG cleans fairly well, but if dishes sit they get moldy. Its quiet when running. Quiet. Would like to have had the racks designed differently to accommodate more sizes of dishes and glassware. White, plain. The brackets supporting the dishwasher broke within a year so my dishwasher is without the side supports that hold it in place. When the dishwasher door is opened, the racks all slide forward and the lower rack goes off the tracks quite quickly.

Our French door model LG refrigerator failed just 10 days prior to the 5-year warranty period. The first indication was it would not make ice. This is caused by the freezer unit unable to maintain a freezing temperature. Service support wasnt available for 8 days. The service rep was not prepared to address a leak in the freon system. A second call was scheduled for a week later. The same rep came with another repair rep who said the sealed unit needed to be replaced. After replacement and adding freon, the unit worked for three weeks before failing again. The leak was obviously not repaired. I wont allow another LG repair rep into my home. I will instead go out to purchase another (non-LG) unit now. Do not purchase any LG products. No qualified repair service exists and the products have poor quality control and even worse design.

Options were priority #1 but cost vs options was a big consideration. Loved the steam dryer feature but wasnt a fan of the track record that front loading washers have with having to be cleaned regularly. However, thats been a minimal issue since we purchased them two years ago. Brand reputation and capacity is a plus as we have 2 kids and very busy schedules. Our need is to do large loads fast. So far thats been the result. Regular repair and low quality construction would be instant turn-offs for my wife and I. But we likely wouldnt look at anything that would fall into those categories anyway. We have the two red LG front loading washer and dryer set with the steam dry option. Were able to load the washer up with large amounts of clothes regularly and wash them quickly, and we actually saw a drop in our water bill after we brought them home. We opted against the pedestals, but were reconsidering that thought as they are a little short for a guy who is 63 and does his own washing. So far, not a single major issue.

We have had this dishwasher for about 1.5 years and it was never good. Here are some of the most frustrating things that have occurred with this piece of junk.1) The bottom rack never stayed on the track from day 1. That means no one in my family of 6 can put dishes in the bottom unless you lift the bottom rack and carry it out of the dishwasher fully. Its obscene. Because the bottom never ever stayed on the track, our 4 kids have bent the outer metal frame, and now it is a pile of junk.2) The racks around the entire dishwasher never stay up or in place, we are constantly trying to manipulate these glass racks to stay in place, but they dont.3) The silverware holder is a pile of garbage, never stays put, constantly trying to get it to stick in place.4) If you fill the bottom, none of the top dishes get cleaned.5) Every other wash, we get an error message of some sort that leaves the dishwasher unusable for a couple days. With a family of 6, and kids we are trying to teach how to take care of dishes, this dishwasher is a joke. Had I known that we would pay $700+ for a pile of junk, I would have opted for a much cheaper dishwasher, as I have lived in places in my younger years with very cheap dishwashers and have not had half the issue we have had with this. I would be ashamed to market and sell this dishwasher. After not even 2 years, we are now in the market to buy another new dishwasher because this one is basically unusable. If you are considering this dishwasher, please think twice, find a different one for your home. I thought paying $700 for one would mean it should be pretty decent, it is not at all a good dishwasher. If I could rate it below a 1 star, I would.

My family and friends had said that they like lg and Ive had good experiences with them before. I love the options that they had available to purchase. The fridge itself looked really aesthetic and fit in with my kitchen very well. I liked that it seemed to have a lot of space in it compared to the other fridges and some nice shelf space. I also liked that it had a relatively consistent temperature throughout the fridge. I didnt like that the freezer didnt have very much room to put things in it though.

I purchased the entire suite. After 1 year all the range knobs broke and cracked. To buy new ones its over 300 dollars. Then the microwave went out so we replaced it with a good brand. The dishwasher doesnt clean the dishes and stays wet inside continuously. The refrigerator, all the bottom drawers have broken and now the rubber around the doors has cracked and broken. Once these breakdown I will replace with another brand. I have gone back to the retailer with no resolution. LG is the worst brand for appliances. They only last maybe a year and then one by one issues come up.

I bought $4000 LG refrigerator LRMDC2306S in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling from mid January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code on the control panel turned out to be an issue with a compressor. The part is even backordered for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Pacific Sales manager was no help. I talked to many people at Best Buy customer service. They didn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period was over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. I was told LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks and the approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now I am unsure of how long I have to live more without it. I have been calling LG customer service 3-4 times every week for a month to follow up. I have to repeat myself whenever I call for 30-40 mins because the notes are not complete and they don’t have a matching report from a tech side. Return authorization department is never connected even with an hour wait. It is ridiculous you get to use a refrigerator only for 2 months and you don’t get any help or support despite $4000 spent on an appliance with a major defect. I’m so frustrated with all the inconvenience caused by this refrigerator. I hope Best Buy and LG build up a better follow up system and prompt return service for defective products.

I requested assistance with my washing machine on the 15th of March. Nobody pitched, on Friday, I phoned again and was informed that one technician was on leave. She would send somebody on Monday. Nobody came. I phoned again on the 22nd of March. She said she will ask the technician to come on Friday. That Thursday afternoon, I received an SMS saying that they would be at my house. Unfortunately, I was in town to collect my daughter and asked them to be there 16:10. When I got home at 16:00, they left a note saying they were at my house and I was not there. The next morning, I received an email saying that they would be coming on that Friday. I requested them to please come at 13:00 when I am home from school. The lady replied that the technician will be there before 13:00. I told her again that I am teaching and Im not allowed to just leave. I will notify her if I leave earlier, which I did. Then Louis came and told me the rubber was perished, that he does not have it in stock but will order it. It should be here the next week. I kindly requested him to notify me on the day that he will be coming, in the morning, to say whether he would be coming in the morning or afternoon. He promised me that he would phone me an hour before he comes. Today, he sent me an SMS 30 minutes before he stopped at my house. I had no idea that he was planning on coming today, so I was in the gym at the point when he sent an SMS. I did not hear the SMS as there is loud music in the gym. I am totally dissatisfied that he cannot respect me as a paying customer and have the decency to ensure that I did receive the message and that he cannot respect my wish to know in advance which day he will be coming. We are on holiday and I might have been at the beach with the kids, then I would also not here an SMS. I feel it is unfair of him to expect of me to sit and wait at the house until he one day decides he is coming to fix my machine. Today is the 26th of March and my machine is still not fixed.

We purchased an LG front loading washer and dryer in February 2010 at Best Buy. Recently the mother board went out on the DLE2350W dryer ($350 replacement cost) only to find out that in Canada, LG warranties this item for three years and in the United States only 1 year. After visiting with the recommended LG repair service, we have found that this is a common problem and can go out even after one year.I have reviewed several blogs that have customer reviews and found a common theme in that LG has very poor post-sale product service. Im safe to say we will not buy another LG product and will recommend to others not to as well. We have always had excellent service from Sears and will return to them once again. If you do your due diligence and review customer comments, you will find my views are shared by many. This is unfortunate for a company whose tag is Living Good.

I am only submitting review to hopefully help someone who may have gone thru the nightmare I have been thru the past 2 years since I purchased my LG True Balance Ha washing machine. The first year I had this machine I would get a UE Code on the machine occasionally! I would readjust clothes and finally get the machine to spin. It got worse and worse over the next year up until the point I would quit washing clothes and my husband would take over where he would use his level and make sure the tub was level so the clothes would spin. My washer is in the basement so he would get missing for awhile and I knew he was waiting on the washer to spin, because if you dont wait the machine would fill up and try to rebalance its load (what is smart about that). I have called the helpful customer service only to be told it would cost $90 for a service tech!My husband would get frustrated and I would take over and so it went! Today for the first time I washed 4 or 5 loads of clothes without 1 error! Actually it has gotten better over the last month. What did I do? I stopped using commercial liquid soap! I found a recipe on Pinterest. My theory is the soap gums up and throws the computer off. I hope this helps someone who felt as though they we going insane as I was. With all this said I will never buy another LG product as they do not stand behind their products or they would admit this washer is a piece of junk and recall all that was sold.

We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. I do have a warranty which pays for parts but not repair, however all my food was bad and needed to be thrown away. Had a service man, who was very nice and helpful, who stayed for hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Finally after coming back many times he realized it might be the compressor. Had to order it thru LG which came 5 days later. Now realize I have no refrigerator at this time that works. Couldnt they send it over night delivery? Okay, now service man puts the new compressor in and the next day it worked!! Started getting ice, went to the store to buy food and spent $200. Very happy until today one day later, I wanted to defrost my London broil, which happened to be defrosted already because my refrigerator was broken again. LG Top Loader WT1001CW. DO NOT - DO NOT- DO NOT- BUY this washing machine. I agree totally with all the other reviews. It does not fill with water enough to even cover the clothes. There is virtually no agitation to get the clothes clean. Clothes usually remain in the same position in tub during the entire wash process and dry spots remain on clothes.. they didnt even get wet. I have had to rewash loads again just to try to get them clean but still they dont come out clean at all. Spin cycle is crazy and clothes just lay on top. This is the WORST machine ever made. I purchased the top of the line Steam Front Loader approx. 3 years. ago. My wife and I are the only two that have used this washer, so it was taken care of and cleaned after every wash. I am a Machinist and work on much larger machines, so I know my medals. My wife put a normal size load in and the machine started shaking and smoking. We turned it off and opened the door and smoke filled the room. I contacted LG and explained it to them. They told me to take the machine apart and send them pictures. I did. Man was I shocked to see the cheap metal they use in their machines. It was so corroded, rusted, and full of mildew. When I went to pick up the part it broke into, in my hand. I didnt use any force on it whatsoever. With the RPM these machines put out, if we would have left it on, and it broke someone would have been badly hurt or even worse. I learned my lesson from LG. They do not service what they sell, they dont return phone calls, they will lie to you in a heartbeat. I also learned to read reviews before I purchase again... NEVER ANOTHER LG. I have learned most people that write reviews tell it the way it really is.

I will NEVER purchase a LG product. My sister purchased a brand new refrigerator and it stopped working properly after 2 weeks. Around week two she started getting an error code on the freezer control panel and the door alarm started ringing even when the fridge and freezer were closed. She contacted LG and they promised to send out a technician. The first technician came out could not fix the issue and said the door had to be replaced. She waited another two weeks for the door to arrive. The tech came back out to replace the door. Within 2 hours of the technician leaving, the error code returned. She contacted LG once again and a tech was sent out. He said another part needed to be ordered, a month went by before the part arrived. After receiving the part she had to call LG once again and was promised the tech would return. That never happened. She has scheduled two appointments since then and the technician has failed to show. This has been dragging on for three months and the issue still is not resolved. The customer service reps in the warranty departments have poor dispositions and the bottom line is she spent over $1500 for a refrigerator that stopped working properly after 2 weeks. I dont understand why LG has not fixed or replaced the refrigerator. Why is it so hard to get something to simply do what you paid for it to do? LG why have you not resolved the issue? Buyers beware, because this surely could be you.

I go in readjust the load, press start. 10 minutes later I get UE again. It takes me 2 hours to wash a load of clothes. The repairman came out twice. We had a discussion over the small load issue. So now my unfortunate solution has been to change to a slower spin speed (which often does not work either) or to wash pants, shirts, towels and under garments all together so I can come up with a load size that the machine will take. Very poor design. I will never buy an LG washer again. It was a waste of money.

My wife had purchased an entire Kitchen of LG appliances about a year ago with the Black SS smudge-proof finish - NOT INEXPENSIVE! We just noticed that the finish in a few areas is peeling on the refrigerator only. NOTHING in the way of a chemical cleaner has ever been used on any of these appliances, only soap and water. All of the other LG appliances with the same finish (microwave, dishwasher, gas stove) are perfect. She is extremely upset that we have taken so much care and spent so much money only to have this major appliance look like heck. Let’s see how LG stands behind a (14 month old) $3,000.00 PEELING FINISH on their French Door refrigerator. Best Buy already said too bad, nothing we can do!!

I bought an LG refrigerator model LFRC 22750TT three years ago. Last week when I opened the door, I smelled a burning odor of plastic and I discovered that the digital sensor control had melted. I called the LG factory service technician and the whole thing will cost about $220. Any suggestions? I am glad I was home because the unit could have caught fire.

I owned a LG top washer for a little more than two years. I had the agitator fixed the first year and it broke again the second year. When the technician fixed it, he said LG knew about the problem and it was re-engineered. It broke again. LG would not stand behind their product for replacement. Why buy an LG when you need it fixed every year? Their customer service told me it would have to break in 90 days for replacement. So if I need an annual fix it is my problem, since it did not happen in 90 days.

Updated on 06/08/2021: Same as others -- the Company contacted me, first offer a rebate which I have never seen. Then asked for proof of purchase, invoices, service tickets, etc. which I provided. They even texted me for information which I sent - in April -- and to date, absolutely no response. This is not acceptable!Original Review: I bought an LG refrigerator in 2014 and in December of 2020, it failed completely - cooling and freezing. I had a local authorized LG serviceman come and and he called tech support only to find out it was unrepairable. However, LG refuses to honor their warranty -- 7 years sealed system and 10 year compressor. After many emails they agreed to issue me a small payment but of course I have not seen anything! They are awful!!

Ive been a fan of LG products for quite some time. Never had any problems with the electronics and appliances Ive bought from them until now. A few days ago, it stopped making ice and the freezer got warm, but the fridge still worked. I called the helpline and the smart diagnosis feature didnt work. I tried all of their troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. I didnt bother getting an extended warranty because of the trust and goodwill LG had earned with me over the years. Now I have to pay 80 dollars just to have a tech look at it, and even if the parts are covered I could be looking at hundreds more for labor. I waited my whole life to get a water/ice dispensing fridge (45 years) but could never afford one. When my old fridge died in 2016, it was at the same time my stepdad gave us 2000 grand as a gift. We used that money to buy this fridge during a Black Friday sale at Lowes. Not even 3 years later its dead and who knows how much it will cost to fix. Ive never been this disappointed since my Xbox 360 died but Microsoft made it right by sending a new console free of charge. I wonder if LG will be willing to do anything to rectify the situation. If not, I will never buy anything from them ever again, and will never stop being critical of their products and services.

The LG refrigerator we bought with the last apartment we rented. It was a great surprise however it did not last for very long after we moved. LG is a great product and typically very dependable. I liked having an ice machine. Filtered water options and lots of space. I did like the amount of storage space that it had and how it didnt ever freeze my refrigerated items. But I would like a better warranty. I dont like that it gave out on me so fast and that I could not fix the issue. I would improve the customer service that comes with this item.

Purchase LG refrigerator in 2015, now fridge has Stop working due to failed/defective compressor. Fridge stop cooling, not working since 9.14.2020. Their customer service confirm that this problem is pre-known by LG. (Defective compressor), since they were having lots of issue with same. This compressor is under warranty. (10 years) Repair date received was 9.18.2020, with us paying for cost of repairs. However, on 9.18.2020 LGs technician further diagnosed and confirm that compressor was bad/defective, and the reason why fridge was Not cooling/working. He said that he would replace same, thus fixing the problem. We felt relief and happy; however after replacing compressor, saying he was done and we thought, Wow! Finally, this is the end, imagine our dilemma and surprise when he Casually said- Oh! the main board is NOT working and you have to pay additional charges and service fee to replace!! Plus I dont have the part- I have to come back-next week. The fridge Will Not work without it. - Panic mode set in and crying took over.We are broken!! We had beside suffering undue, stress, also suffering physical health issues, since refrigerated medications were loss-cause by this broken appliance. In addition to the loss of food, deterioration of health, mental stress, were still left with a broken fridge. After spending so much on an appliance (said to last 20 years, right?!). Speaking with LG customer service we feel that LG shows lack of concern to all our issues. HELP!! Can anyone at LG please end this suffering. Plus we now question this replacement of main board- why was this not said on initial diagnosis, before he initiated repair of compressor??Plus we are being charge for all this. Not Fair!! Not Right!! Feel abused! At this point we just wish this fridge gone, gone and LG refund our cost price. We want to get back to our normal life, Please. PLEASE!! Can anyone from LG managerial staff address this? Anyone with POSITIVE Answers/results. Is customer satisfaction a priority? (Then why are we treated this way?) HELP!! Have always been a fan of LG, but now???.

I kept my old Kenmore fridge and its 10 years old but continues to work without problems. Now, I have to move food from my new fridge to the garage into the old fridge that works all the time! I will never purchase a LG product again. Customer service rep, not very good at helping with getting this resolved either. Basically, you are out of luck and on your own.

We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG
We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG Top Load washer WT4870CW. It boasted inverter driven technology and was not supposed to go out of balance and could handle larger loads. From the very beginning, it took at least 2 - 3 hours to complete one load of laundry. The machine would go out of balance almost every time it tried to extract. We were cautious about washing like-weight items in an attempt to complete a load with less than five trips downstairs. Now, the washer wont even drain. We ordered a new drain pump and replaced it, but we still get the OE error every time it tries to drain and extract. The drain hose has been checked for kinks and there are none and there is nothing blocking the drain pump or hose. This is extremely frustrating! We spent far more money for this washer than others would have cost. Unless there is a recall or LG shares a suggested fix with everyone, I guess its time to throw the $800 machine away and buy something new. It most certainly wont be LG. I will never own another LG product again! I hope others learn from my mistake.

Put food in microwave, pressed the EZ ON BUTTON which will heat food for 30 seconds. The microwave started for about 1 second and then immediately just died. After about a minute it powered on was asking for the clock setting. It acted like it does when the power goes out. This microwave did this one time yesterday also. I entered and set the clock time and then input 1 minute time and, almost as soon as I pressed the start button, the microwave died again only this time it did not revive. It appears to be completely dead and is only about 16 months old (purchased October 2014). This is the first LG appliance I have ever owned and likely will be the last. I paid good money for this appliance and wish I hadnt thrown out the old one. It was rusted some inside but had been working for almost 20 years!! This stainless microwave model number(s) listed on instruction booklet: LCRT2010ST, LSRM2010ST. So very disappointed. Made in China. Maybe thats why.

There are multiple accounts on this forum of electrical arcing of the wiring to the warming drawer of various LG range models manufactured around 2007, however I cannot get any resolution through web searches and LGs customer service is non-responsive to my issue. Our range (LG model LSC5622BW) arched out inside the warming drawer cabinet at the electrical connectors to the warming element and burnt the adjacent drawer itself, and didnt trip the circuit breaker. The warming drawer was off at the time and we have never used it/turned it on so it seems rather unsafe that it would be energized to the element and be capable of arching? This was one of the same series of LG electric ranges that had the stove top element controls recall issue, for which we had the motherboard replaced a few years ago. These are not cheap appliances and brings into question the compliance with the applicable electrical safety codes. Anyone know if there is any means of recourse for safety issues with an appliance that are out of warranty?

We bought an LG refrigerator in March of 2017. Its a door in door. The problem we are having is with the doors. The door in door isnt closing and sealing properly. Weve had 5 service repair guys out that we couldnt really speak English and they continue to tell us the door is closing properly which it isnt. When we open and close the other door it ends up pushing the other door open and then that door doesnt close by itself. LG wont give you the time of day. All we would really like is for them to replace this unit and move on. But they dont want any part of it. You spend $2500 to $3000 on a unit you expect to work properly and they could really care less. I would not recommend LG products to anyone.

The only drawback, if you could call it that, is you must leave the door ajar when done to prevent a mildew smell. But that is really just normal for a front loader and this one is better than most.

LG LMV1680ST - We bought this range hood/microwave 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago from (I believe) Home Depot and didnt have any extended warranty, so we arent looking to have it replaced or fixed. Yes its VERY loud, its cheaply constructed of plastic and like so many others, the handle broke and the frame cracked on the top corner. We are going to get a normal range hood and bring my Panasonic Inverter (7 yrs old counter top version) up from down stairs. We just want to inform the consumer of a serious defect. Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

I bought an LG Fridge Model LSC 24971ST in October 2012. It stopped working June 2017. I made many phone calls to Customer Care (or No Care) Centre on Telephone 1-888-542-2623 continuously for five weeks but nothing was done. Finally LG got back to me and told me whatever the problem is, they will have it fixed for a flat rate of $229. I paid them $229, hoping that the problem will be solved now. Few days later an LG worker came to check the fridge, only to tell me that the fridge cannot be fixed. I would have to buy another $4000 fridge from LG. It was hard for me to believe this fridge cannot be fixed, so I called somebody else to have the fridge checked, which is when I found out that the compressor has stopped working and just needs to be replaced.LG was trying to CHEAT me and make me buy another fridge from them. They wouldnt even return the $229 flat rate that I paid them to have the fridge fixed. After arguing with them for weeks, they finally agreed that they will have the compressor replaced at the FLAT RATE of $229 but the part is NOT available for the time being. If such a BIG company like LG fails to find its own part, why I must suffer...? Weeks passed and they could not even find their own part. Bottom line is, LG COMPANY TRIES TO CHEAT YOU. The fridge could easily be fixed by replacing the compressor (which was still under warranty), but LG wanted to CHEAT me into just buying another $4000 fridge from them. They gave me a very hard to time; for months I kept arguing with them. Never buying an LG product ever again!

Purchased an LG Door-within-a-door Refrigerator in July 2017. On September 6, 2020 the unit failed and we woke the next day to find all the food in the freezer was soft and the refrigerator was warm. Because of the holiday we had to wait 2 days to get a repair man to diagnose the problem... only to find out that no one in our area would service LG refrigerators due to consistent problems with warranty issues.3 calls to the LG 800 Customer Service center provided additional frustration due to the artificial intelligence support person taking information and then stating that it was a warranty issue and I would be handed off to a live agent... only to have the call dropped after 45 seconds of Muzak. I then went to the web site customer support and after providing all the information again to the service bot I was handed over to a live agent, and had to repeat all the information since he could not access the service bots data. After a 20 minutes of review and discussion it was determined it was probably a warranty issue and he authorized a repair ticket to be sent to an authorized repair tech, and after a 5 minute search reported that he could not find an available repair tech in my locality, but he would e-mail with the information. He did e-mail a name and contact information of a repair service and said I would get a call from them to set up the appointment, and if I didnt hear from them within 7 days to call LG back. The repair service called the next day September 9th and gave me a tentative appointment for September 17th to replace the compressor, assuming that LG sent the correct part on time. This was their 1st available appointment as they had that many LG compressors failing. Today September 15th I received a call stating that the compressor had not shipped yet and the anticipated receipt gave a new install date of October 2nd.... 25 days after the refrigerator failed! Never again will I consider an LG product.

After 4 1/2 years, after buying 4 matching stainless steel appliances for the new home, my refrigerator started making loud noises, like an airplane landing. We knew it was a problem, but didnt have a real sense of urgency because the fridge was still cooling; figured wed attend to it when we had time. Then it began cooling inconsistently. Then it finally crapped out. We called customer service and they had us contact the approved list of repair companies. I took the day off, had the repairman look at the fridge (and I do mean LOOK AT it, as he didnt have the parts on hand), and was told it was the compressor that failed and the work would cost over $1000! The part was covered under our 5 yr warranty, but the work was about the cost of a new fridge and wasnt covered. So, the $200-300 part is covered but the $1000 work to install isnt? Gee, thanks, LG!After looking at what a new comparable one would cost, we couldnt find one and came to the disappointing decision to just go with the repair. The repairman was very nice and said this isnt the first hes seen and doubts itll be the last. So VERY disappointed in LG for making such a flimsy, unreliable product! I was a big fan of LG previously - having had a TV, Blu-ray disc player, etc. - and had NO problems, so I thought that competency would apply to all their products. Very wrong and very disappointed.

Bought a new LG fridge in November 2017 from Home Depot (delivered Feb 18). Fridge was finally installed by my general contractor in January 2019 after kitchen renovation. Almost immediately, the fridge started to make a loud buzzing type noise. The noise is unbearable and can be heard in the other room while watching TV (to the point of needing to raise the TV volume), as well as when we are upstairs. The noise is non-stop and continues even when the fridge door is open. I called LG and they said that the compressor was defective as they are designed to shut off when the door was open. However, they said that the warranty is only for a year after original purchase (even though its been installed less than a year), and I would need to contact a repairman to have them come fix it, and they would not cover the cost of the repairman. I am now getting quotes to fix it for a few hundred dollars, which at that point I should just get a new fridge despite my fridge being used only 6 months. I will never again buy an LG product.

First off, I must say that my LG appliances were great. At First. We bought a new house and all new major appliances. Now at the 5-year mark, they are breaking. No problems with broken parts except the ice dispenser (only crushed). A month ago, the stove overheated. I looked online only to find out that the stove had been recalled. A call was put in to LG and I was given an order number and told that a repair company would contact me. After 10 days, I called LG back again and I was then given the name and # of the company that was supposed to come and fix the stove. Another week goes by and I call that company to be told that I lived too far away to come fix it (about 30 miles). Another call to LG who did not believe me, so I was put on hold for almost an hour while LG called the repair company. I was then given the name of another company on July 5, that I contacted. Company # 2 said they were waiting on the part. Today is July 17. I still have no working stove. On July 15th, I came home to water all over my kitchen floor. I opened the refrigerator door to warm food and melted ice. I bypassed LG and called out a repairman on the 16th of July ($70.00) just to pull in the driveway. The repairman moved some stuff around and called it good. Today, the 17, I called him to let him know that the fan is still blowing but the temp is about 50 degrees. So now I have 2 very pretty LG appliances that do not work. Not happy at all because both items were big ticket items totaling over 4 grand. Also have an LG TV that is 2 years old, used maybe 3 times a week, that has about 5-inch black spot in the screen. I guess I would rather pay a higher electric bill every month using an older but functional item than to have to replace appliances every couple of years. Very disappointed and will not buy another LG product again.

So in service less than 1 year and no longer will cool or freeze as of 8-1-19. After a little research I discovered that the Linear Compressor failure is a COMMON problem with LG. NOTE LG at the time of my purchase had a 5 year warranty on this unit from the purchase date, I believe it is now a 10 year warranty. I called customer service on 8-2-19 to report problem. I was told I would be contacted by an authorized service center within 48 hours. NO CONTACT. ON 8-4-19 got a call from LG indicating I would be provided free service & repair for the cooling issue and would receive a call from an authorized service center with 48 hours (ANOTHER 48 hours with no frig/freezer). On 8-4 I received an email that my request had been sent to an authorized repair center. On 8-5 I received an email Service Appointment Cancellation Notification. I again called and advised I had never been contacted about a service appt. She put me on hold and came back and said I had a new service appt on 8-8 between 8-5 and the provider would call me 1 hour prior. On 8-6 I got another Cancellation Notice. It is now 8-12-19, still no frig/freezer or repair scheduled. I have documented everything and will pursue. I also discovered there is a class action against LG for this same problem. My request was escalated to Executive Services Project Team on 8-8-19 and I was told to call him (will not mention names yet) back on Saturday as he would be working from 9-6, if I had not received a response within 48 hours. He did send me an email with his name and unit but no direct phone number. On 8-10 I called and asked to speak to the person and was advised no one worked in that division on the weekend.Today 8-12 I called and asked for Executive Services and spoke to another man. He advised that a repair provider was sent a letter of authorization for a labor rate of $450 flat on 8-5-19. The man tried to call them with no answer. I advised it was too early here in Hawaii and he asked if I could call them. I have called them with no person answering, and left two messages. (Perhaps this was one of the cancelled appointments). I need to know IF AND WHEN my refrigerator will be repaired. I have guests coming in two days and will rent one if I have to but NEED a response from someone that has a clue about what steps will be taken. By the way, pretty no one here on the island of Hawaii will repair either LG or Samsung. Next time I will check with repair services before I buy an appliance.

I have an LG front loader, and have to run the machine 3 times in the very dry mode in order to get the clothes dry, and clean the filter after every cycle which does not catch all the lint. Actually, most of it goes into the chamber that has to be cleaned often with a special vacuum cleaner wand! This is by far the most worst and most expensive dryer that Ive ever bought! Ive had problems with all the LG appliances that Ive bought, and WILL NEVER buy any of their products again! Actually, I hope they go out of business, which will stop them once and for all to give people so much grief by spending more money to have them fixed, not to mention the useless time spent on their so called Customer Support!

I purchased an LG top load washer in 3/11 from Best Buy. I had unbalance issues almost from the start. Finally May this year, I contacted a service repair to find out what is going on. They couldnt figure out the problem and called LG for answers. It got them nowhere. I called LG and found out my washer had a recall and they would have a service repair done. They scheduled an appointment that a part had to be ordered so the date had to be changed. 10 days later, the part was put in my washer. It still doesnt work right. I have had 3 service calls on it. Everyone tells me my washer has so many problems dont bother getting it fixed. I have tried to talk to someone at LG to be transferred from one dept. to the next to emailing. The website wont let me make a complaint. I was sent a survey and did let them know my washer still doesnt work and Im very dissatisfied with LG. I have tried everything I can think of to get answers to fix a 2-year old washer. Now Im being told just to buy a new washer. LG service is terrible and their product sucks. I will never buy anything from LG again.

We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.
