We just replaced another new LG back in August 13 2016 with this new LG FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR (LMXS30776). LG gave us credit on the other new one that went dead in the water and couldnt be fixed. Now tonight we find ourselves going thru this all over again. Everything defrosting. Had to pull out and put food in the reserve side by side in Garage which has been around much longer than LG. Thank goodness for that. Now to call Home Depot all over again and get the process started again. Will have to pay for Tech again to come out to find out what is wrong. Last time Compressor replaced and it still wouldnt work. Tech gave up and we still had to pay him. I swear LG is a piece of junk as one said. Its ridiculous they only last a few years and burn out. I do not want to replace it again with another LG.

Do not buy an LG washer. We bought a high end LG front load washer and dryer in December 2009. We were getting LE Error Codes after about 2 years. The washer fills up and would not drain. We did troubleshoot the washer according to the manual but it didnt solve the problem. We even tried to find a repair man in Calgary but none of them worked on LG washers.Trail Appliances, where we bought the unit, is going to charge $90 for a serviceman to come out. Then $85 per hour to assess the problem. This is before we even pay for the repair! It will be cheaper to just replace the unit than repair it.Avoid LG if you want to avoid headaches and costly repairs.

I purchased a new LG washer and dryer in April 2018. From the beginning the dryer leaked water from the door. When I called they told me not to use dryer sheets. I wasnt, Lint collects on the gasket on the door and continues to leak. Ive been calling them for 6 months. A guy came out and did nothing. He said they would order me a new door and front. In the end they never returned a phone call. My dryer still leaks water and Im looking for the Better Business Bureau information. I will never buy another LG product again.

I purchased a top loading LG Washer from Sears, and purchased the extended master plan warranty with it. Within 2 years it has already started rusting near the dispenser drawer. Sears would offer no help whatsoever, and said the rust is not covered. NEVER buying an LG, NEVER shopping at Sears ever again. I have been a long-standing customer and spend thousands on appliances with them in the last five years, including a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. They would do absolutely nothing to help me.

The washer (model WT1201C) only used sufficient water amount to clean when set to bulky, and even then the no-agitator washer would throw the clothes off balance. This would trigger the washer to refill in an attempt to balance the load, which would then throw the clothes off balance, and this cycle would repeat ALL DAY long. I put clothes on before work at 6am and when I got home at 3 in the afternoon the washer was still continuing to fill and spin, fill and spin. I was so frustrated when LG said it was bc of gov. regulations and that all the washers did this, I finally gave up and bought a Speed Queen which works AMAZINGLY well.

We bought our LG dishwasher 2.5 years ago and it sat for a year of that 2.5 years because the heating element was out. I decided to get it fixed and we thought it was taken care of but after 3 cycles of using it after it was fixed, the board caught fire. The gentleman who fixed it said that its parts were not large enough to take all the work it had to do and it melted the components and could have started a fire in ours. I am very sad to say we now have to buy another dishwasher, instead of throwing good money after bad, and I will not buy another LG anything.

Bought LG double door refrigerator about 2 years ago. The drawer broke after 6 months. Called for replacement part. Paid $50 for a new drawer. It didnt fit. Was the wrong one. Called LG. They said they dont make a replacement drawer for my model and they sent me the closest one which doesnt fit because its not for my refrigerator. They did refund my money and I now use the old drawer with duct tape. And dont even get me started on the ice maker. The LG refrigerators look nice but are made very poorly. And if you are looking for service and support after you buy and something goes wrong, dont purchase LG.

I bought a LG 2 door refrigerator with the freezer below in 2017, from Sears as a Kenmore Elite. The unit has a fan freeze up issue in the refrigerator section. I called Sears Service for repair since LG will not deal with a Sears product of theirs. I paid Sears $584 to come and replace the fan, and fan control. This was the FIX that LG told Sears would solve the problem. Its now 4 months after the |fix and the problem is back!. Its now past the Sears warranty, so I will have to pay again f I want this LG piece of garbage fixed again. Bottom line is simple. DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR FROM ANYONE EVER.

This washer is a POS. The stinky clothes comes from it being too stingy on the water. Yes, its supposed to conserve water but if I dont want my clothes to stink then I have to run 2 extra rinses with each wash and then run a Rinse and Spin cycle once that is done. The problem is that these washers dont use enough water to rinse all the soap out, leaving some soap on the clothing fibers... which causes them to stink and stink worse once you start sweating in them. It sounds odd but the excess soap is actually getting funky in the clothes causing them to smell. Give it a try. Im going to sell my front loader for one that doesnt care about using less water. Id rather smell like Im clean than save water.

The LG washer we purchased, while now out of warranty, is part of a recall
The LG washer we purchased, while now out of warranty, is part of a recall for a potentially dangerous failure, where the drum spins unbalanced and out of control causing the whole machine to be violently tossed about. This has been a three week ordeal, so far. The service center has been very good but the part they need is on back-order, nationally. As of this morning 12/3/2015 Im told by LG that they have an anticipated arrival date of the 12/16. LGs customer service manager tells me that we have no options other than wait. Ever been without a washer for a month during the biggest holiday season of the year? I own an electronics repair shop. Among others, were Samsung authorized. If a part cant be delivered within 7 days, Samsung will ship a brand new TV to the customer. THATs customer service. At this point Im basically forced to buy a new washer, have the LG repaired in the garage whenever they can, and give it to a family member or friend that needs one. Happy holidays LG. Youve seen my last dollar.

My LG oven has required 2 repairs; the circuit board on warranty, and now the hidden baking element gave out one week before Christmas. I called LG and quickly connected with a representative. This was my experience: Four lengthy attempts for her to get the serial number etc... She continually reversed the numbers (Id say 486 and shed repeat 864 sort of thing). And these numbers are located in the most awkward location for a person to read!!!I explained the preheat could not reach its goal, and she tried to explain to me how important preheating was to ensure best baking results! I told her my baking skills were not the issue, it was the oven could not heat up!!! She told me to ensure the date on the front panel was correct. I told her my panel did not include the date. She had the manufacture date wrong... I decided to call a local repair service, they arrived the same day, and the repair will be done before Christmas, at half the cost, done by a reasonable capable service person. In summary, whenever I need a new oven, it will be a Samsung.

I like everything about my refrigerator – the style and the features. It had everything that I wanted. That was why I bought it but I will never buy LG anything again. I took out a warranty and tried to deal with LG on that. They sent a service that they use for repair but I went through three months of a freezer and refrigerator that did not work with Jessup’s Major Appliance Centers in Sarasota, Florida. They put in three different compressors and none of them worked. LG knew that they had a problem with the compressors. The repairman had been trying to fix them all over the state of Florida. I was told they were not gonna send their repairman out again after all that. But finally, they said they would come and put one more in. That fourth one finally worked. But they put me through hell. I even had to buy a little refrigerator. Thank God Jessup’s gave me one that I had to put on the carport and go outside to my refrigerator. But that was totally unbelievable customer service.

Purchased an LG refrigerator 5 years ago at a cost of approx 3000US from Brandsmart USA in South Florida. The unit was shipped to Trinidad and Tobago W.I. The compressor failed a week ago. LG boasted of a 10 yr warranty on the linear compressor. After reviewing on the internet, it would seem that LG has a major problem with this model compressor FC75LBNA. and instead of doing a recall or ensuring the problem with the compressors are fixed, they continue to sell the same compressor with the same fail issue. My local service tech who inspected the refrigerator said every other LG unit he attended to had this exact problem. (Yes there are more suckers like me here in our country who got fooled by LG) Long and short LG USA said my warranty is void because the unit was shipped out of the USA. This was not told to me by the sales rep at Brandsmart who were quite happy to take my money. So now I either throw out a 3000US unit or import a compressor and quite likely experience the same problem again.

Purchased refrigerator in 2012, LFX31925ST. Start with pros. Purchase for the large space and front features. I have purchased many of LG products. The customer service is ok, but they dont stand by their product... From day one I had an issue with the ice maker followed by the motor make noise. Not to mention the glide server drawer stopped sliding, it seems like the cheap plastic wheel broke off. Well they came out to service motor, but said ice maker was not part the warranty! They replaced the motor, but two years later the unit stopped cooling and freezing. Guess what?? The motor stopped. I called for the same issue. They want charge for service $400. I had the product for only 5 years and already is giving out like its 20 years old. What makes it worst is they dont stand by their product. Dont be fooled by their 10-year warranty. It only covers parts, they will squeeze cost out of the service charge.

LG French Door Refrigerator is 1.5 years old and cooling system is intermittent, lost entire content of unit. The ice in the ice machine melted while I was away and ruined my hardwood floor ($450 repair for floor). The local authorized service techs said they have had others LG refrigerators have the same problem. Called LG and was able to schedule a technician to come out after 4 tries. I canceled before he came out because it was working again but since it was prior to the 24hr period they would not refund me. The tech said it would be hard to figure out what is wrong if it working. He suggested that he not come out and wait until or if it has problems again. He said he thinks it is the compressor which is $250 + 125 service call to fix but no guarantee that is the problem. Thank God the parts were under warranty. For a $2000 refrigerator I would of expected it to last more than 1.5 year and have no problems. My old 25 year old GE fridge is still working and never been serviced. LG customer service center is not terribly helpful; called a number of times, each time got a different story, they were only able to follow the script and there was no way to escalate to a supervisor - very frustrating. I usually look at the reviews before I buy. Did not this time but wish I had as I am not the only one to have this type of problem. LG not only has problem with their phones catching on fire and the tops of the washing machine coming off but now it looks like their refrigerators are junk also. Bottom line, will never buy an LG kitchen appliance again.

We purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator with water & ice maker in November 2009. We recently had problems with both the fridge & the freezer not cooling. We bought the fridge from Sears, so we spoke to the Sears parts service & told them what the issues were. They suggested a part that they felt would solve the problem. So we ordered the part & put it in. This part did not help the situation. After 2 days, the fridge stopped working all together. We lost all the food in the fridge & the freezer. We called a local repairman to come & look at it. He said there was a leak of freon in the seal system. It was not something he could fix. He said that in the 40 years he has serviced refrigerators, this was the only time he came across this issue. Especially with a 5.5 yr. old unit.So we called LG & they said they would replace the seal system, but we would have to pay the labor since their 1 year warranty ran out. The repairman had told us that they would have to take the fridge apart completely to find the leak, if they could indeed find it & that it could take hours to do. We explained all this to LG & said that was all they could do for us. Really? We paid $2000 for the unit & it is 5.5 yrs old. I would think something that was supposedly worth that kind of money would last much longer than that & LG would be willing to do more to rectify the situation. Dont buy an LG product! They dont live up to their name!

I was cleaning the exterior of my LG washer WM2701H with a soft dry dishtowel and the printing around the dial wiped off. Never in my life have I had any appliance that I have cleaned on the outside that the printing just wiped off. I was not using any cleaners or liquid on it. The service person I talked to said that the printing coming off was not covered by the warranty. To me that is not the point. In this day and age with the technology we have as a country, you should be able to buy a washer that when cleaning, the printing doesnt wipe off. The washer manual say that the outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and mild, non abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth. I guess LG doesnt care about the consumer. Im so disappointed in their non-response to problems people are having with such expensive washers and dryers. Im surprised Sears still sales LG products. Its giving them a bad name too.

After much research and review we purchased the 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean. He ordered it on December 29, 2014 and it was delivered in February 2015. Apparently it was not constructed until January of 2015. So I was excited for a brand new stove. I am an avid baker and love to cook. So having this stove was exciting!Fast forward to October 19, 2016. Woke up early and went to heat water for tea. My LED screen had a time on it that was incorrect, so I tried to update the clock. Nothing worked. I freaked out and checked all the circuit breakers etc. Nothing then the screen went black. Fast forward to today, when they could finally come out to look at it. I need a new panel...Shocker. Its not even two years old. Good thing is that I purchased an extended warranty. But I have been without a stove for 7 days and it will be an additional 10 days until the part comes in. My guess is that this is a common problem. This is my first and LAST LG purchase. NEVER AGAIN!!!

We bought a gas LG range in November 2017, we got the matching refrigerator
We bought a gas LG range in November 2017, we got the matching refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range after we bought a new house. We did not start using it until February 2018 when we moved into the house. Since that time the oven would periodically say it was at temperature but when you open the oven to put in whatever you were cooking you could tell that it was not up to temperature. At first it was sporadic and I thought at first I was doing something wrong. Then it was every time that you would try to use the oven it would not stay up to temperature. Called and got a repair person to come out, under warranty, and we were told the ignitor was bad and it was replaced. It was less than a month later that it was doing the same thing. The repair person came out again, said again it was an ignitor issue. Ignitor was replaced again. (This time it was not within the warranty period.) Its been a couple months since the ignitor was replaced for the 2nd time and it is doing it again. I will never buy another LG appliance again. When you own an oven you expect that you can use it. Just thankful that the neighbor doesnt mind me using their oven to cook my meals.

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

LG refrigerator model LSFD2591ST - Purchased in November of 2013 for $4,500.00. Motherboard failed February 2015. We lost all of our item in both the freezer and the fridge. Absolutely no help from LG as they instructed us that the 12 month warranty had expired. We had the board replaced. Restocked our freezer and fridge only to have the compressor fail two days later. Again lost everything that we had. We went the rest of the month living out of coolers. Today 7-17-15 I get a call from my wife that the fridge is not cooling again! 5 months! Really! While under regular warranty the electronic face panel had to be replaced. From then on it has been downhill. Today May 1st 2014 we were told that the 5th fan must be replaced in the unit again. LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerat
LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerator in February 2014. It was discounted almost half off to $1851.30 and we had another 10% off coupon (plus they automatically added the 3 year warranty that was another $90). I asked what was wrong with it, why it was discounted so much and I was told it had been a loaner fridge while someone elses was repaired. I snatched it up thinking I was getting a great deal for our new house. There were things that didnt seem right like the door never seemed to seal tight and the light would work then go out then work and so on, but nothing major just little quirks. Then in July 2017 we got up one morning to find that everything was hot in both fridge and freezer. So I contacted LG. I knew that my extended warranty had run out 5 months earlier, but I was told that the compressor was still under warranty along with a few other parts. They could only find 2 places that would work on LG and both were an hour plus away. So I contacted one who right off the bat told me LG was notorious for their compressors going bad. They came out to diagnose a bad compressor $91 and had to get authorization for parts. Meanwhile he informed me that he had 6 more LGs he had to get to with you guessed it BAD COMPRESSORS. Some of them going bad in the first 6 months. After the parts came in he came out replaced it for another $288.90. I asked him would this last longer than the 3 years that I got out of the first one and he told me they would not guarantee anything. He recommended that I sell it as fast as possible. Imagine how I felt. That was last Tuesday 8-15-17. Today is 8-22-17 and it has yet to cool or freeze properly. We have had 2 gallons of milk go bad because it is too warm and my ice maker hasnt worked yet because it has to reach 15 Celsius before it will make ice. We bought bagged ice and it melts a puddle underneath it because it is too warm. I called the technician back who of course feels bad but is not surprised. I spent an hour on the phone with LG this morning, and they tried to get me to call another technician out. I refused told them they better make this right. She told me they would replace the compressor, I told her they would also pay the labor that I was not paying another dime. I just paid it last week and I am not paying it again. She told me the technicians work was guaranteed. I informed her that he told me they would not guarantee it and that they recommended I sell it. She then told me we would reset the freezer by opening the door and slamming it 4 times in a row. What a joke. She told me not to open it for 6 hours and she would call me back then. So I am waiting and furious that we have now lost food twice because LG has an inferior product and refuses to fix it. The technician is scheduled to come back Saturday and is expecting me to pay if LG does not. I will update after my phone call this afternoon. I recommend you stay away from LG refrigerators.

I purchased the LG 6.3 cu ft self clean oven in black stainless. 12 months in (even though I baby it and am very careful) the paint is chipping off. Now 1 month later the fan motor growls every time I use the oven. I called LG and asked if they would cover the repair simply because it is so very recently out of warranty. No. No chance. $125 to have a technician assess it and then whatever the parts and labor are to repair it. If the product is only designed to last 13 months perhaps it should be cheaper than $1100. I have used it approximately 300 times for about an hour max each time. So 300 hours of use should be all you should expect.

I bought an LG Refrigerator #LFC25770 in November 2008. I paid over $1,500.00 for the French door style with bottom drawer freezer. The compressor keeps coming on and then clicks right off. The freezer thawed and the refrigerator no longer cooled. After doing research online, find that the cause might be the starter relay. I tried to order the part and it is no longer available. You now have to replace the relay, thermostat and compressor; should have been a warning that LG has had this issue before. I called LG customer service since the sealed system was still under warranty for parts. They gave me several contacts that did the warranty service for them. However, no one comes out to my location. I called LG back and they gave me several more names. I called all and once again either they dont service LG or they dont come to my area. Again, I called LG who gave me more names and numbers. Did I mention the time I was wasting and the cost of long distance calls? I was told it was my problem since nobody would come out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was transferred and explained the issues with LG and he said he would make the calls and try to find someone. To say I am not happy with LG would be putting it mildly. The products and the service suck.

I believe I should have read all the comments people made on LG products before making my purchases. Sadly, I now have to be among the complainers, in Aug 2016 Ive purchased all LG appliances. I am already experiencing issues with the refrigerator and service. Refrigerator is constantly running, I swear it may stop for 5 min and run for hrs. I am tired keeping track. Ive called and emailed LG, their response was perhaps the doors and leveling need adjustment. In short, I contacted the store that I made my purchase from, & was told to call the warranty dpt. & when I did, the earliest that the technician can come out to check it out is mid-Sept. OMG what have I got myself into. Nobody needs to go through all this. Come on manufacturers start getting serious and listen to what people are saying. We are not just making noise, these are legitimate concerns and complaints. As consumers, we are paying high prices for appliances we should get good years of use without complaints.

I wanted to be fair about my review so I waited until I had it a while. I bought this machine a yr ago and I am very disappointed. In any cycle, theres not enough water to get everything wet, say nothing about rubbing the clothes together. The repairman came out for a repair issue and stated the machine was made to wash ONE set of sheets not two. If I want anything really clean, I have to go to bulky to get enough water to make any soap suds. Most of the time, I can see the blue soap color on some of the clothes.. They dont get wet enough to get the soap off. I will not buy LG anything again.

We still dont know if parts are under warranty... Keep tuned and stay away from LG refrigerators.

We bought all new LG appliances several months ago. Happy with all except dishwasher (LDS5540ST). I too am having issues with the dispenser door not opening or opening and the cube is still in the compartment. Have found the cube in the bottom of the dishwasher not totally dissolved. I too just bought the liquid detergent and the door opened on the dispenser and the liquid is in the bottom of the dishwasher. I have called the company on 2 occasions. She has given some information but nothing changes. I was told to make sure the dispenser was not being blocked by dishes. I monitored but that is not the issue. We went back yesterday to the company we bought from. Different salesman and he had not one positive word about any of the LG appliances. I will call the service rep to come look and if not help will take it back!!! Anyone have any suggestions?

We bought a LG washer in 2009 and thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty. We have had so many problems and it has required numerous expensive repairs. In the first year under LGs warranty we knew it was a lemon. After four years of replacing numerous parts it is deemed irreparable. Our service person from the warranty company called LG and gave us a number to hopefully replace it. After six weeks of working with them we were given two reference numbers and felt confident that the problem was being solved and they had our initial sales receipt. We found out we have been working with a call center in the Philippines from a LG representative in Alabama. When I asked why they have indicated to us things were progressing he said you are dealing with people in the Philippines and they are going to tell you want you want to hear.In the end, I was told our washer had gone for final review and we would be contacted in 10 to 12 business days about its possible replacement since it is irreparable. When I called to find out why I had not heard back, I was given the run around again. It was only when I insisted several times on talking corporate that I learned we would have to go through the extended warranty company which was not the information we received at first. So for over six weeks we believed LG was handling this professionally only to find we had been given the run around and dealing with people who really did not understand what they were doing. I am very concerned about this kind of professionalism and why we werent told after numerous calls and all the information they had that they were not going to replace our washer. So if you have problems beware that even though you feel reassured the problem is being dealt with, it might not be. So why did they lead us on for five weeks and numerous phone calls? They could have told us initially we were on the wrong path.

I purchased an LG front loading stackable washer (Model #WM3270CW) in April 2018. I contacted Lowes (place of purchase) in May 2018 due to washer banging and shaking when spinning. Service rep came and adjusted front right leg and said problem was due to being unbalanced and issue now fixed. Washer still having same issues. Contacted Lowes again and was advised to contact LG as they were unable to fix the problem. LG service rep came in August and advised would do nothing since I had not removed the attached stackable dryer. Shortly thereafter 2 boxes containing parts was received from LG with no explanation. LG now tells me to contact Lowes to fix the problem since I will not remove the dryer. Explained to them that I am 61 yr old female unable to remove the dryer which made no difference to customer service rep. Will NEVER purchase LG product again!

Bought an LG top load washing machine. True Balance is a joke. This has been the worst washer I have ever purchased. I made the mistake of not returning it immediately. Because it was very different than your typical agitator machine I didnt realize how bad it was until I began getting the constant UE code. My water and electricity bills have increased because of the constant filling and running in an attempt to balance the load. Bought it from Home Depot. LG has no service people in my area. Can you believe it - they sell the darn machines in my area but no service. I cannot believe this machine hasnt been recalled. My next step is to march down to Home Depot and see if they will make it right because LG and their foreign customer service people dont care. I will never purchase anything made by them again.

I have an LG front load. It does not have an option to add more water and there is never any extra water in it other than what is on the clothes. As a result I have to wet the clothes down before I start the cycle and do a “rinse and spin” at the end of a full wash as the “extra rinse” does not utilize enough water to justify the electricity being used but the rinse and spin seems to have residual water in the drum. Even with minimal soap and fabric softener or using vinegar in the mid cycle the clothes still come out with a chemical smell to them. Yes I clean the machine regularly as it also has a problem with getting smelly quickly. Had to replace the sensor that creates the spin at year 6 but DIY as this is such a common problem and instructions found easily on the internet.

We bought an LG front loading washing machine from Sears one year ago. It began making more noise on the spin cycle than a jack hammer, and almost vibrated its way out into the hallway. We called Sears repair for service. That was our second mistake! They sent a repairman only to have him make a list of parts totaling more than the original price of the machine. I asked why they dont just replace the machine and his comment was, We dont replace machines! What a joke! So a week later, an entire pallet of boxes filled with parts shows up at the front door. A few days later, two repairmen showed up to put humpty dumpty back together again. Well, that wasnt going to happen that day because, much to our surprise, the repairman needed more parts to fix the problem. So he ordered more parts and we waited another week for him to show up with his magic wand. I tried to discuss the issue with a manager but none wanted to talk with an actual customer. Imagine that! Its no wonder Sears is struggling to avoid bankruptcy. With nonexistent customer service, poor quality of appliances and zero accountability, the end is certainly coming. I only wish it had happened before we bought our appliances from them. NEVER AGAIN!!

We also purchased LG washer/dryer (high-end stainless steel). Washer is ok, but we have experienced same problems as many others. The dryer LG Tromm DLE2501 never dried clothes correctly. It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An energy star product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually it sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. The real problem is that Home Depot is selling this stuff. Home Depots reps are promoting this stuff, and LG doesnt stand behind their product. Drum is cracked, and the lint stays trapped.

Their customer service people are barely understandable over the phone, and they never follow up on any of my letters. I just emailed the company again and now they are asking for the same documentation already sent them. I had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, and the New Mexico State Atty General. The next step will be to sue them in small claims court. We purchased a refrigerator LFX31925SW, which I thought was top of the line. 2 months shy of 3 years, the compressor went out. Of course it was out of warranty. I did call LG tech support/customer service and they gave me the phone number of an LG authorized repair company. I called, they had retired, gone out of business. I called LG back, numerous times, I even used the chat online, I was told the same thing each time, it had to be an LG repairman. We live in a small town, kind of rural, I explained to them (over and over) that I had tried for 2 weeks to find someone to come and check our refrigerator, they kept insisting that they have LG repairmen all over the country. Someone would get back to us. Well, 2 weeks after that I received a message on my phone that they would go ahead and approve the one company I was able to get a hold of to replace the compressor (the compressor has a 10-year warranty). When I spoke to the repair company they had spoken with someone at LG, but LG had not faxed the authorization. I have called LG numerous times and get a different response every time. We have now been without our refrigerator a month now. We paid 2500.00 for this fridge from Home Depot 2 and a half years ago, you would think it would last or that LG would honor their commitment. I do not see us buying LG ever again in the future.

I have a front-load washer that has made me and my family very sick. Before I bought the front-load washer, I called LG customer service to get details on how to not have smell/mold problems in my machine. I was very diligent in cleaning it. I cleaned around the rubber area in the door, I drained the old water, cleaned the filter, cleaned inside the soap area and the took the soap dispenser out and cleaned that too, as well as running the tub clean cycle - using afresh, running it with bleach, running it with vinegar, leaving the door open, using HE soap, etc. I called LG to see what they could do because the smell was in my clean clothes. An LG tech came out to look at the machine regarding the smell and found that I did everything humanly possible to keep it clean. He called LG and they told him to take the tub to a car wash and spray it down (ridiculous). The tech went further, because he knew this would do nothing, and got approval to replace some parts (the back part of the tub had been discontinued???). In cleaning the machine, I watched as black mold and bacteria came out of the hoses and it was on the back of the tub. I took this information to the corporate level and I was told immediately that it was maintenance. I was shocked as to how Tish could tell me that it was my fault immediately without talking to the tech. It was only after I told her that the tech said that it was going to come back again, that she called him. After being left on hold for 15 mins., she got back on the phone and said that she spoke to the tech, his manager, and her manager, and that they were going to review my case.Well 1 week later I called back; Tish told me that they werent going to do anything. She said after talking to their legal department they decided that it was a maintenance issue. They said I misused the washing machine...HUH?? I have had allergic conjunctivitis so bad that my eye doctor and my specialist have told me to go 2 hrs. away to UVA because after 2-3 years of misery and steroid eye drops, dermatologist testing, allergy testing and numerous visits to doctors, they dont know what is wrong with me. Funny how now that the tub in my washer has been replaced and many parts steam cleaned, I dont have the zombie look anymore. It is still in the clothes and the sheets that we sleep in, but it has improved. Bottom line, LG corporate is programmed to blame the consumer, even if they have a defective product. They dont stand behind their name at all. BUY A SAMSUNG!!!

I purchased a fridge from Home Depot on July 18th 2020, May 20th 2021 it started making noises and read an ERROR CODE, I called LG the first available day, I was sent thru the warranty service company and dealt with them scheduling a tech that didnt come prepared with the correct equipment to even work on the thing, then was told the wrong parts were ordered, waited on new parts and then the warranty company kept scheduling a tech that wasnt certified to work on the fridge so the system was cancelling the appointment. Finally on June 15th I spoke with a case manager at LG who assured me she was the one dealing with my case and would have it taken care of in 7-10 business days.On June 29th I received a text message asking for yet another picture of the product tag located inside. Which I immediately returned.. I lost over $500 dollars in food and was refunded $200 for that.. Now here we are July 9th. I called today to see what was going on, the rep would NOT give me her name, she called me a liar and hung up on me, when I called back to ask for a supervisor I was told there were NONE available and it would take 72 hours for one to get in contact with me. At this point I will be contacting a lawyer to see what the next steps are that can be taken, this has been the worst experience EVER. We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. As many others have stated, if I could provide zero stars I would!!! Do not buy even if other reviews are good. Its not if its when your product will default. Weve had our LG refrigerator for less than 3 years, and bought the extended warranty. Unfortunately, its been nothing but trouble. We are currently out of a refrigerator and LG still has yet to come up with a solution or a reliable repair company. The first issue was the fan in the freezer compartment which was fixed and covered under warranty. Now its the compressor, which for anyone thats not aware does have a 5-year manufacturer warranty that we would not have known until someone told us and it wasnt LG. The company that LG contracted out came to repair (the company actually had horrible reviews online) but guess what folks our refrigerator still is not working and we are at 4 weeks. I would like to add for anyone experiencing issues to file a complaint with the BBB which I just finished. Its too soon to determine if this will help mitigate the process but its worth pursuing. We spend entirely way too much for a product that does not work.

LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. Unfortunately after a week of calling them and no return calls I ended up having Sears come out. He spun the drum in the machine all for $105 and then stated that the repairs would be $1100 as the bearings had gone out. I paid $700 for this washer. How can the repairs cost more? The Sears service rep said that I was over using the machine. I explained that I only fill up to the minimum line on the guide inside. He stated that in Hawaii the water is soft and that we are supposed to use half the recommendation that is on the bottle. I have never heard this before. Unbalanced Flaw UE - LG Front Loader Extra Capacity - Paid way too much to get extra capacity - would love to have my basic front loader back! Extra capacity is worthless if you cant get the load to spin & finish because of the UE code. Ive had to throw away pillows I washed. No problem in my last machine, because this way overpriced LG wouldnt spin it - not alone, not with other items, not after being wrung out, hung to drip dry, not on low spin - NOTHING. The True Balancer is a joke - it is directly causing the problem. What good is an EXTRA CAPACITY washing machine, if you cant wash more than a normal load in it anyway? The time Ive wasted standing in front of this machine, hoping *this time* it would spin, rebalancing items by hand - makes me sick to think how much we paid for this piece of junk. Good luck with customer service - they said there is no recall even though there is post after post of the same UE complaint, and they *might* call me back once the customer service person logs my complaint. Never asked me for any contact info so Im not sure how that will happen...

After few months it did it again. LG repair service came again and replaced the drainage pump.A month later we noticed that the hardwood floor got swollen and higher. We checked the dishwasher and we noticed that water was leaking from the pump below the dishwasher. He found that a rubber hose was split where it goes in front of sump pump. He was unable to fix the dishwasher since the hardwood floor was swollen and was blocking the dishwasher. Eventually they replaced the sump pump assembly. They paid the damage to the hardwood floor. I am amazed that LG has spent time and money on trying to fix this lemon instead of just refunding money so we can get a refrigerator that actual works. Extremely disappointed by the quality and treatment we have received from LG.

This is the worst appliance purchase I have made. Most loads show as unbalanced to which the washer responds by refilling the tub with water. It is almost impossible to meet the machines balance requirements. The constant refilling makes the machine a little less than high efficiency. The companys position that you need to wash things of similar weight in a load is ridiculous. I would have to wait until every piece of clothing I own needed washing before I could meet that requirement. A typical load takes 2+ hours to complete which includes multiple attempts to rebalance the clothes. I would recommend that you look elsewhere. I cannot fathom why there are so many positive reviews for this giant POS. (Model WT1101CW)

Just turned 5 yrs old and we are anxiously awaiting the third compressor. Temperature fluctuates between 36 and 60. Beautiful and interior lights are great but not to be trusted! LG has offered to pay for a mini fridge. It helps but going on 4 weeks now and this is a headache trying to cook dinner and figuring out where my ingredients are! Back porch in mini, kitchen in the mini, laundry room freezer, or the LG which houses the non-temperature sensitive items. Would never buy another LG!

We purchased our LG linear compressor refrigerator 3 years ago along with a LG gas stove with double ovens. Last year the ice maker broke and the upper oven igniter went out. Now the compressor has gone out on the fridge. It leaked water all over my hardwood floors. Of course everything is out of warranty. Im so disgusted with LG. These appliances were part of a kitchen renovation from Home Depot. Never, ever again!!! My husband was able to fix the oven, but after reading all the negative comments, we are buying a new fridge and tossing the LG. Enough is enough. I hope the class action lawsuit in Illinois is successful.

My LG French door side by side icemaker has quit several times. We have turned it off for a few days and turned it back on. Sometimes, it works again for a week or two then it quits making ice. It will still distill water but no ice. I paid a lot of money for this fridge and now I see a lot of icemaker problems. They should recall their products. I must agree with the reviews Ive read on this site. I purchased my LG washer and dryer in June of 2016. If the fact that it takes forever to clean my laundry which doesnt come out clean, it produces a terrible smell! At the floor level there is a drain and filter which instructions advise to clean monthly. It is hard for me, at 70 yo, to get down on the floor on my belly to clean this contraption, but it must be done. Draining the nasty water from this little hose (about the size of a pencil) is more than a notion. I agree with many others that for what I paid for this machine, I should have gotten a better product. I will never purchase another appliance with the LG label. Any others have experience with this smelly filtration system???

Our dryer failed during a run, and would not power back on. I checked the circuit breaker and the plug, and unable to restart the unit, I placed a service request with LG. Over the past month I have experienced nothing but frustration and disappointment from LG customer service. I have been given inaccurate information, been repeatedly told to expect a call back or email about service status, but the only communication I have had with LG is when I have initiated contact. Please note that because I have two children, one of whom is still out of school because of the pandemic, the only times I can call when the 800 number is operating is on W and F when I am commuting to/from onsite days at my job. Below is a detailed timeline of my experience:Th 4/15. Dryer breaks during run. Test fuse, power line, reset per manufacturer’s instructions. Fr 4/16. Submit ticket through LG website describing problem. Sa 4/17. Receive email response from website instructing me to do the troubleshooting I had already completed prior to submitting ticket to website. Call LG 800 number to request repair. Told that I would hear back within 24-48h about getting an LG service technician. Tu 4/20. Call LG because I received no call back. Am informed that they could not find a local technician, and my request was being escalated to the regional services team. Fr 4/23. Call LG for a status update. Rep informs me that they have 5 business days to find local authorized technician, but that if they cannot within 5 days, I can get a replacement authorization. W 4/28. Call LG again, to request replacement authorization. Am told I need to wait an additional 48h for update.F 4/30. Call for status update. Rep tells me that information I received on 4/23 about replacement is incorrect, and that regional services is still looking for repair. Request transfer to executive services. Call gets cutoff partway through. Attempt to call back, but service line is closed for the day. Particularly disappointed that the executive services person I was speaking with did not call me back, because the first thing he asked for was my phone number, in case we got disconnected.W 5/5. Call LG; request immediate transfer to executive services. Rep curtly informs me that they have hundreds of thousands of technicians, just none in our area. Furthermore, that LG has 30 days from my initial call to locate repair services, so I am not yet entitled to a replacement dryer. However, she does provide me with contact info for an authorized service provider in American Canyon. I contact said service provider, Linet Electronics. Technician at Linet tells me that yes, they do service our model of dryer, and they do service our town (35 miles away), and yes he does have availability. He advises against booking him directly for warranty repairs, because then I will need to work request reimbursement from LG for the repair.W 5/12. Call LG; request they contract with Linet Electronics to service our dryer. I provide phone number, but the rep insists that I need to provide email and postal address, too. They should have this information, since I got the phone number from their authorized service system, which is infuriating. I call back once I have the email and post address. The new rep calls Linet, but Linet wants an extra $225 to do the service call, and so LG will not authorize service (this strikes me as absurd, since replacing the unit outright, or providing me a refund, will undoubtedly cost more than the service call with a surcharge). I am told that regional service has 2 chances to find someone in our area before we qualify for replacement, but apparently hasn’t done anything since my first escalation on 4/20 (15 business days ago). Rep promises that I will get a call back within 24-48h about warranty replacement. I tell him I am highly doubtful about that, since I have not received any updates, by phone or email, at any point so far. That my only contact with LG has been contact that I initiated. Th 5/13. Much to my surprise, Jacob, the rep I spoke with on 5/12, calls me back to let me know there has been no action on my replacement request yet. He promises to call me back in 24h. F 5/14. No call back from Jacob. Monday will be 30 days since my dryer broke. I will call LG and demand they send a replacement dryer, though I am not confident they will honor their warranty obligations at this point.

Bought LG DLE3170 dryer about 3 years ago. In 6 months I started to get troubles with lint screen. During the spinning the screen would start to rise up above the edge on 3-5 mm, just enough to catch the piece of cloth. Then it would swirl it to a tightrope, which would bring along other pieces of clothes and all of them tight up in one huge spiral. At the beginning it have happened extremely rare, but last few months it happens pretty frequently. I tried to level up the dryer to perfection, but it didnt help. Seems that the screen is simply too big and doesnt stay in place for longer than 1 minute even when the dryer off.

We purchased an LG refrigerator; it has French doors and with a bottom freezer. Shortly after it was installed, the freezer started accumulating ice. We had it repaired several times because the electronic circuits were defective, and the problem recurred. LG refuses to take responsibility for the problem even though they have re-designed the circuit board at least ten times. My repairman told me that they have this problem since the refrigerator came to the market. I have paid hundreds of dollars in service calls, and the last time I spoke to their customer service department I was met with complete indifference. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. Another issue is with this unit is poorly designed; it has a very flimsy hardware for the crisper drawers that keep coming off the rails. That issue was also not acknowledged.

Seems like from the very beginning we had issues. The water filters don’t last as long as they should, the main fridge door hinge got bent (somehow)? We had a serviceman come out to inspect. He wanted 300.00$ to replace a 50$ part. No way! I ended up getting small magnets to try and pull the door gasket closed, this kinda worked at best. And now, yesterday the whole fridge cooling system died? I pulled the fridge out, cleaned the coils, hoping for the best. This did nothing. Unfortunately service calls are out almost a month. We need it fixed now!! Food is going bad. We ended up buying a new GE Profile fridge. We’ll never buy anything LG again!!!

Bought this stove to replace another LG range model that had a recall on for burners that would not turn off but LG refused to do anything. With hesitation I decided to buy another LG range because it matched my other appliances and 11 months later I am again without a functioning stove. The motherboard has to be replaced as the right burners will not turn on unless you turn on the left burners in addition to the oven not turning off sporadically. While they have agreed to replace the part, I have no guarantee beyond that. Having paid $1800 to replace my previous range in addition to a LG tv in the last year, I have lost all confidence in the LG brand and will ensure to share my experiences both with the products and lack of empathy by the customer service employees. Customers do not want to hear that appliances break down and other responses like how would me putting myself in your shoes right now help you? or when commenting about the condition of my previous White Westinghouse range reliability making statements such as you replaced it for a reason though didnt you? The reason at the time was purely updating my kitchen. While LG products are aesthetically pleasing, they are simply unreliable and a safety concern.

When I purchased my $2400 LG refrigerator 5 years ago the salesman assured me that this refrigerator should last 15-20 years. WRONG. The compressor failed after stocking up with over $500 worth of meat products due to the Covid 19 crisis. When the repairman came and I had to pay another $100 for a 10 minute diagnosis, he explained that the LG compressors have a 3-5 year life span. Long story short, he was right on point. It failed just a few months past 5 years.Estimate for the repairs were over $1200. If I can give LG less than one star I most definitely would. I would not ever buy LG anything even if it was for free. Buyers beware!! They may look sleek and nice but they are by far the absolute worst product I’ve ever had the misfortune of owning. I bought this Sears Kenmore Elite French door fridge in late 2007 (Model 795.755.46401). Within a couple years (but out of warranty), lots of little things started to go bad. As others have mentioned, the plastic latches at the top of the doors broke, and then the latches for the tilt out vegetable drawer fronts broke, and then the slides on the drawers broke, and the hardware that supports the bottom shelf broke - etc. The whole interior is made of parts too flimsy to last for the useful life of a refrigerator. Then the front door water dispenser stopped working, and just recently the whole front display went out and the main compartment lost temperature control and started freezing everything. Im a handy guy (and an electronics engineer), so I ordered and replaced the main board and then the display board, as they were the obvious failure points. That didnt fix the problem, so I dug in deeper. It turns out that the wires inside the front left door that go up through the hinge have broken. I could deal with that if the failure was at an accessible point (at the hinge one would expect), but I eventually figured out that the wires have broken somewhere inside the door. The wires are apparently molded into the door and cannot be replaced, so I have a $2,000+ refrigerator crippled by a bad 10-cent piece of wire and an astonishingly stupid design that makes that wire part of a $400 door assembly.Like I said, I am a handy guy, so I routed a very thin and not too ugly replacement wire on the exterior of the door to replace the broken wire inside the door, and for now the fridge is back in business. Ill join the many posters in this blog who will steer clear of all LG appliances in the future.

LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator
LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator for 5 years and what a waste of money it has been. The ice crisper drawers are cheaply made and fall off their track on a weekly basis. This problem began happening within a year of use. In the last year (so 4 years of use), our interior light bulb malfunctioned and melted its own plastic casing, our ice maker has broken and had to be replaced, and our water line (the one that runs the ice and water of the refrigerator) has sprung 2 separate pinhole leaks. Those leaks have caused water damage to our kitchen floor as well as the wall behind the refrigerator. All of the problems have been fixed at our expense. Not only that, we have had to use the LG service repairman to come out and fix our model. We have not been able to use our own repair service. I will never buy an LG product again!

Purchased LG washer/dryer set 18 months ago and it has to be the worst ever!! Washer: clothes come out partially dry, with new spots that it didnt have going in, lint from some unknown origin, still soiled. Steam dryer: turns off after 2 minutes and clothes still wet so we have to use timed drying. And dont use steam function because clothes come out soaked, yes, from the d-r-y-e-r. We thought we were getting the top of the line water efficient appliance and ended up getting nothing but frustration. Nothing efficient when you have to wash everything on bulky/heavy soil just to get it somewhat clean and then to add the need to wash several times to get them clean only adds insult to injury. Never again will I purchase another LG washer/dryer and wondering why they are not being held accountable for such a lousy product!!!

Updated on 07/02/2019: This is a follow up to my last review. Yet again, my appointment was rescheduled from July 2 to July 8!! I was sent an email twice over the weekend asking me to call to reschedule my appointment that was supposed to be on 7/2. When I called on Monday morning (7/1), I was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled AGAIN! They rescheduled my appointment for 7/8 - a week from now! How do you sleep at night, LG and A & E Solutions, knowing that you are robbing your customers and have no intentions of honoring the warranty on your products? I will never buy another LG appliance. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. If someone is serious about making this right, you can send me a private message asking for my phone number. Otherwise, keep pointing the finger at everyone else.Updated on 06/25/2019: This is an update to my review on 6/19/19. The response that I got from LG to my review was: We understand that you are frustrated with the refrigerator and we do care about our customers. Because without you there is no us. So we would love to assist you at the moment. We do see that service has been set for June 24. Please keep us informed on the status and let us know how the repair went. LG DID NOT SHOW UP ON JUNE 24TH!! AM I SURPRISED??? NO.LGs customer service department might as well be non-existent. Dont spend your money on an LG appliance unless you are confident that you will never have a maintenance issue. For me, the maintenance issue came after 3 years of owning my $1500 refrigerator!! Because the warranty is under LG, no private repair company will come out to fix it because they have told me that they will never be paid by LG. Furthermore, I have found that very few private repair companies will service LG appliances because of their reputation.Original Review: I bought an LG refrigerator approximately 3.5 years ago and it already died - both the refrigerator and the freezer!! I was told that it would take 9 DAYS to have a service repair company come out. I have tried being in touch with customer service twice and have been placed on hold for at least 45 minutes before I finally hung up each time. The worst customer service. Based on the reviews here, I am not confident that the issue will even be resolved once the repair company comes if I still have to wait for replacement parts. Meanwhile, I am trying to live out of coolers; not to mention the amount of money I lost on food that went bad.LG, please do me a favor and resist sending me the same response that you have sent to everyone who has written a review. LG Refrigerators response: Thank you for notifying LG of the experience you have encountered thus far. This is not indicative of how we want our valued customers to feel. We’ll be happy to look into this and answer any questions that you have. Please send a private message so that we can assist you. Send a private message where??? How about a sincere response rather than one that is copied and pasted. And please dont act like you care about your customers. Your lack of customer service tells the story for itself.

Had microwave for around 11 months. Glass started to peel on the inside manufacture defect. Contacted LG numerous times sent pictures. Pictures of receipt and delivery receipt first they were going to send me a box and return it then they change their mind and said that before they could give me a refund because they dont repair countertop microwaves. They said first I had to buy a new LG microwave then send them pictures of the old labels cut or destroyed. Of the old microwave then they would give me refund. I proceeded to tell them that I did not want to buy another LG microwave because I thought they were crap and I should not have to buy another of their products. That didnt go over so well. All I wanted was the microwave to be repaired or replaced. I will not be forced to buy another one of their products. I already have the stove and refrigerator that had to be repaired five times in the first year. Part of a companys integrity is stand behind their product when something goes wrong and not forcing you to buy their product but instead encourage you to buy their product again by the service you received when something goes wrong. Now all I can think of is going to college for 8 years to become a lawyer to sue LG over their refund and return policies. But in reality will probably just use their piece of crap microwave for target practice to cite in my rifle.

Waited 1 week with a broken fridge and motherboard replaced. 4 days later found water on ground again. Everything melted. Called again and said will change out compressor again. Need to wait 1 week again. 4 days later broken again which is tonight. This should be illegal. Are they going to do this for next couple of yrs until warranty is expired? In meantime we have to suffer with a broken fridge every week? Anyone with suggestions on how to approach? I wrote complaint to BBB also. Now we have to call LG tomorrow to get repairman out again. This will be 4th visit for same problem.

200 characters isnt enough to explain, LG wont offer up they know about the issue and that they extended all warranties on the linear compressor to 5 years. My refrigerator was purchased on Nov. 1, 2017. https://lgcommunity.us.com/discussion/3871/important-lg-refrigerator-warranty-information-announcement-please-read. Opened case with LG support, LG happily said that my refrigerator is under warranty when my LG account for registering my appliances clearly says it is out of warranty. You have to call the number in the link that I added to get the warranty work. Talking with the agent, who was pleasant to speak with, also came back and said that LG will also offer to pick up the cost of the Labor on this call as a complimentary service. Really? It is stated in the warranty that Labor is covered! So much for the fake gesture, is Life Good? Anyway, back to my story. Now that I finally got to the bottom of all this, we have a service ticket generated and the agent is working to confirm a service technician in my area to take the service call, stating we will have someone within 24 hrs. Ok, well we all know by now, 3 days after the refrigerator has stopped cooling and at 61 degrees, all of our food is no longer safe to eat. It is now exactly 24hrs from placing my service call with LG and still no confirmed service technician on the case, when-o-when will my refrigerator cool again? And Ill just leave all discussion about the pandemic going on right now, ugh...As I continue to do more research about this topic, how many of you are aware of the class action suit against LG for this exact issue? ** I guess it pays to do your research. After the cost of a technician to tell me the compressor isnt functioning properly and a hum hum nudge nudge on the shoulder saying check this out, I discovered all this and am now expecting my refrigerator to be fixed for free. Once it is fixed I have to ask one more question. Is the new compressor covered by a 5 year warranty from the day it was installed, it should be! After all, we all know that this compressor will also fail within the next 36 months, give or take. This is the second generation linear compressor and LG has yet to fix its know issues, I am not aware of a 3rd generation compressor coming out any time soon. If you continue to research you will find that LG has already gone through a class action suit for this same issue on compressors prior to these. I hope this was some what helpful to anyone reading this and doing their own research into an LG refrigerator. Anyone looking for a French Door Refrigerator? I have one for sale!

Bought a set of LG products and Never AGAIN!!! I bought them both and about six months later, the washer literally burst open... from the inside out. The top portion with the lid and button flew off the machine and came back down crooked. It was a top loader. The top of the drum was facing the back of the machine. They came and replaced which took a month. One year later the new machine just stopped working while the tub was full of water. We put that one aside, thank god we planned ahead, and bought a second-hand washer and dryer. We have been using the old one since. Not worth fixing the stupid thing, now the dryer has been acting up for a year... It runs for two seconds and stops but while it stops spinning its counting down. I called LG and they stated that it was due to the coldness of my basement... It is pointless to fix these POSs. Big costs, cheap parts and worthless customer service, we will never give this company one red cent!!!

LG presented a visually impeccable top loading washer. I was impressed with its sleek look, detailed function keys, and seemingly user-friendliness. I purchased this sleek machine from Lowe’s and parked the box in my basement anticipating opening day. As life would have it, I didnt have the big reveal until almost two months later. Opening night was great. Old Kenmore was removed after 15 years. I was due for an upgrade, I believed. LG was it! Water hooked, check; machine leveled, check. All components checked and re-checked. And then we tried a load. The auto select set me up to wash for more than an hour, but I looked beyond that. I questioned the few drops of detergent needed as well as the few drops of water the machine used, but I looked beyond those too. I walked away and was summoned back to my laundry room by the banging of this beaut in the spin cycle. The machine almost met me at the stairs; its movements were so profound! We checked, doubled, tripled everything - the very spot where my Kenmore sat for years was no longer good enough for King LG. We must have done something wrong, so we tried again. After all, this was an LG!That was enough for me! Returned this fabulous looking useless piece of junk to Lowe’s who informed me that their return policy was seven days on appliances! I called LG, per Lowe’s instructions. Both LG and Lowe’s suggested a repair man. To repair what?? The once-used over buttoned, fab looking ornament? Disgusting! LG should be ashamed of this pile of junk and should stick to what they know. These corporations, including the retailers who carry these over priced inferior products have no integrity and should be held accountable! Im not done with Lowe’s or LG! This is way more than about money! But do not waste yours, please...

After the fourth problem I requested a refund because the washer was not working properly and I was told by a supervisor that all that could be done was to keep repairing it. They would not refund my money or replace the machine. I paid $ 1100 for it.

I bought this LG dishwasher 1 year ago and this is the WORST, WORST machine ever I have and so has my husband called the company. We were told to change soaps to Cascade liquid. We have tried pods, powders and other brands. My dishes still come out dirty, Glasses with grime and I use Jetdry also. WE have changed the dial to the highest number, tried everything we were asked to do. Why would someone spend the money on a dishwasher to have to WASH the dishes BEFORE you put them in the dishwasher? There is always soap residue in the machine after each use. I was willing to agree on LG sending out a repair specialist of LG to look and/or repair but now I just want it removed from my home. I will NEVER EVER buy a LG appliance again. I will stand by the other brand.
