Knobs replaced every 3 years @ my expense. In other words Im constantly paying out of pocket. Had I known that the knobs are constructed of heavy foil I would have NEVER bought this range. This is a constant payout for me. This product is a total rip off.

My compressor failed while my family and I were out of town recently. We lost everything that was in the freezer section and also everything on the refrigerator side of the unit. The process of getting the compressor fixed through warranty services was extremely easy. It was fixed within a week. But, I had estimated to the LG customer service rep that I had lost between 250-300 dollars in meat and fish that I had in the freezer along with all of the contents of the refrigerator side. LG sent me a check for 150.00 which helped with the loss but did not replace everything that was lost from the compressor failure. So, I was displeased in the fact that I had to replace what was lost even though it was not my fault and LG should have replaced the contents completely. Richard

When my wife and I purchased our LG washer and dryer from Best Buy in highland, Indiana, our sales rep informed us that installers could switch latch and hinge side of doors upon delivery. When our machines were delivered, installer was able to give us a left side hinge, as we desired on our dryer. However, we were informed that washer was not so adaptable. We would need to wait up to two weeks for the correct machine to be delivered. When I contacted Best Buy, they would accept no responsibility for their sales agent giving us incorrect information. After using machines as is for some time now, it is really inconvenient to use with left hinges on both machines. If you choose to ignore this message, you can bet we will never purchase any LG products, and we will not shop at Best Buy in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you are interested in discussing this annoying situation with me, my cell phone number is **.

I have a lovely 3 door refrigerator that was purchased in 2007. At the 13 month mark, I started having trouble with an irritating beeping sound that let me know the door was not closed completely. After checking to make certain the doors were not blocked and completely closed, I continued to hear the alarm. Service engineer called, replaced the sensor. Sound gone. This has repeatedly occurred time and time again over the past 7 years. Its actually beeping right now. I have even purchased a home warranty primarily for this issue. 2 different service engineers complained about the LG refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG refrigerator.

I purchased this from Sears. Its made by LG for Sears. Its a side-by-side since it was the only refrigerator that would fit within the dimensions of the opening of our cabinets. It was only a few months after purchasing that I found my kitchen floor flooded with water. The ice maker water feed line was installed by Sears. There was a defect in the refrigerator that caused the ice maker to freeze and blow water out of the water line from the back of the refrigerator causing flooding. I have a wood floor in the kitchen and the wood became warped and lifted both under and in front of the refrigerator. Sears came to repair and the repairman caused a short circuit in the electronics board and the whole refrigerator went dark. We had to wait for that part to be ordered. So we had no refrigerator for days and a wood floor that was destroyed. To make a long story short, the correct part was installed and the refrigerator in working condition again but it took weeks and a lot of documentation and correspondence between myself, Sears and the LG headquarters in order to determine who was at fault and who would be responsible for replacement of the floor. It was a very frustrating and maddening time. One other thing about the LG refrigerator, I noticed a few months ago that the paint on the handles is peeling off and soft. Theres a lot peeled already and a lot with long scratches from fingernails reaching for the handle. I dont know how to fix it to make it look less ugly and dont want to have to deal with either Sears or LG over this.

From the very first day I bought it we have had ice build up in the top drawer of the freezer. I called for about 2 or 3 weeks to the store I bought it from. I was told it was the humidity and not to worry. I kept calling back and finally they gave me the number of a repair man. He came a number of times and did what the LG people told him to. Every time he came he replaced another part. Nothing has worked yet. They said as long as the rest is working its just an inconvenience. My thought is for 3000.00 I shouldnt have to have an inconvenience. I have since given up getting anything done. I have the same kind of fridge (different brand) out in the garage and it is in humidity and have never had any problem with it or any other fridge I have owned. Will never buy that brand again. I have owned it for a little over a year now and I have never had one day without ice on my food and drawer.

Back in 2012, I purchased $8000 worth of LG appliances for my kitchen and laundry. Long story short I have replaced the dishwasher, it could not be repaired. In September of this year, the microwave exhaust had a mind of its own. It would come on and off by itself. To use the it I would plug it in and unplug it. The part to repair it was more than half the price of a new one. In September I purchased the model LMH2235ST. A short time later the exhaust fan stopped working. I called customer service more than a dozen times. They gave me a case number and said they will call when to set up a date to come and repair. After many calls to them they kept saying they would expedite it. I have heard that several times more. I have asked them to send another to my home with a return label, but they said they could not do that. I called customer service just now December first, now I dont even get to speak to anyone, the recording says to go online. So thank you LG for nothing!!

We bought our french door fridge in 2007. First I noticed that the shelves sag, and dont seem to hold weight very well. I had to replace the door to the pull out drawers twice, and Ive just put in a second service call regarding the ice maker. We replaced it once already, for the price of $412. If we have to replace it again, we will have spent $1,000 on repairs, for a fridge that cost $2,000. I will never buy an LG product again. And if youre thinking, maybe were being a little rough with the appliance, our family consists of two adults, period.

Lg top load model # WT1101CW - I have had this washer for 1 1/2 years. It takes all day to do a load of clothes. Every time you call for repair they just want to replace electronic board. That does nothing. Right now it is 6pm and I have been doing the same load of clothes since 7am. Constantly says uneven load, constantly refills and adds time when it says 13 minutes. I go back in about 15 minutes later it is filling up with water and now has more minutes. Just random amounts of time. Filling, draining, filling, draining, never spinning. It is so frustrating to try to get laundry done. There is a small 15 yr old Maytag in my basement that works better. Do not buy this washer. It is a top loader with no agitator. I Hate it!!!!!

I purchased a brand-new LG refrigerator on March 1, 2012 for approximately $3,000.00. On July 12, I arrived home to find the refrigerator making a very loud noise. I opened our freezer to find that all of its contents were completely defrosted and sitting in a pool of water. I contacted PC Richards where we purchased it from, and since we purchased an extended warranty with them, they sent someone to fix it for us a week later. Since all of our food had been defrosted, it had gone bad in the extreme heat. A few days before the incident, we had spent our paycheck on stocking the freezer with our meals for the next 2 weeks. We had spent about $150-200 on meats, fish, frozen fruit, frozen vegetables, ice pops, etc. We were now left with no food to eat and very little money. PC Richards informed us that the product was defective from the manufacturer because the freezer fan had failed. I contacted LG, asking to be reimbursed for the $150 (even though, it was more) in groceries that we had lost. I had purchased this machine in March. Never did I imagine in July that something would happen to it or that it would break without any of our doing at all. We spent $3000 on this machine. It is so unfair that we should lose all that money in groceries for no reason. It is unfair and bad business. LG was very rude and insisted there was nothing they could do for us. I dont see how that is possible, seeing as it was their machine. They are a multi-million dollar company, and they put a defective unit on the market. It is only right I be reimbursed for what I lost.

I currently fighting with LG on my stove (LRE6383ST). Hey has anyone every dealt with LG, for warranty on a range? It only 6 months old, my convection oven has stop working on Easter Sunday 2017. They first told me that they would replaced it with a new stove. Now they are given me the runaround for weeks, now they tell me that is going to be another 3 to 5 business days before they know what or how to replace. They said they would repair it but we are too far away for the nearest repair person in Yorkton which living in Raymore we know that there is no repair people to help. Im so angry I was thinking of buying the fridge to match but not now.I waited for 4 weeks when I bought it because they were on back-order. Actually all appliances were due to all companies sending everything to Fort Mac after the fire which was great for them but not for anyone else. All I want is a new range that works for more than 6 months. Now LG said they would give me a store credit only after I send my stove to them in BC and what the hell am I to use till I get a new one. There is another problem. None of the LG RANGES are available nor can they tell me when. It could be months which is not acceptable. How can I cook for my family of 5. The store where I purchase this stove is helping me to deal with LG. LG you need to make this right!!!

I read the reviews before purchasing this product (LG Refrigerator Model LFX25976ST) and an LG Stove about 4 years ago. There were no negative comments. Now when you look for reviews on both my products, it appears that everyone is having the same problems with the middle burner not lighting and the ice maker freezing up. It seems as though LG has discontinued both products; probably because they not good appliances. Read reviews every thirty days and make sure you get everything and anything fixed if you purchase this product again, because they will not help after that. They want to charge me $ 200.00 to come out and check, while the dealer they recommend only charges $ 100.00. Uh, this is not right! I guess I have to go back to GE appliances!

This is a review of the LG customer service experience for a repair of an LFXS29626S French Door refrigerator. We woke up Christmas morning to find the 3yr old refrigerator was no longer cooling at all. Reviewing the warranty showed that the sealed system was still covered, so I placed a call to LG customer service. While the customer service phone rep was quite friendly/understanding and professional, thats where the enjoyable experience ended. Net-net is that after 4 months and 5 separate repair visits from 2 separate 3rd party repair shops, many phone calls, much lost time and spoiled food, the unit is still not functioning as expected. The unit was cooling properly after the 4th visit, but now the unit sounded like a leaf blower all the time. The final fix was more of a hack that only partially addressed the noise issue, but they say that it falls within spec tolerance.I called LG and requested escalation. Upon speaking to the escalation manager, I requested that they replace the unit since it was not actually fixed. She was very firm that the company had a process that must be followed and that they would not replace the unit. They offered a minimal reimbursement for the spoiled food, which would nowhere near cover all that we had lost. Either way, we have not received any reimbursement. At this point were going to put the unit in the garage and purchase another refrigerator - something other than LG. The thing that the company (especially the escalation manager) didnt seem to grasp was the concept of total customer value. Not only will this experience keep me from buying LG refrigerators in the future, but since they also sell everything from washers/dryers, to TVs, to cell phones, I will look elsewhere for many products. The marginal cost for them to simply replace the refrigerator would probably have been around $600, but instead they likely spent more than twice that on parts and 3rd party repair services. When you add that to the future lost revenue it was simply a bad business decision that could have been properly remedied in order to keep an affluent customer.

I purchased an LG just under 3 years ago. At the end of May 2014, the freezer stopped working. On June 2nd, I had an LG certified company come out to repair it. As it turned out the heating element at the bottom of the freezer melted the plastic back panel on the inside. THEREIN is where all the torment has ensued!!!! They would have to ORDER the panel and as of Today August 11th, 2014 even after contacting LG directly, I still DO NOT have a panel or a fridge that works. IT CONTINUES TO BE ON BACK ORDER and LG did not know if they could help me unless I purchased the fridge from an AUTHORIZED DEALER, who cares where I purchased the fridge? I paid for it, it is THEIR product. If Im willing to pay to get the 65.00 part who cares where I purchased the fridge? LG has been of NO help whatsoever!!!!!! I cant believe it truly matters where an item is purchased. IT is their product and they should care about taking care of the customer... Maybe because I work in retail and I believe in taking care of the customer. I expect the same treatment when I myself am the paying customer... Dont you agree?????

We bought an LG refrigerator (Model # LMX28994ST /00) on June 12, 2012 (Delivered on the 22nd of June) at Sears #100-1425 Sumas Way Abbotsford B.C. On New Year’s Day we opened the fridge and the cream for coffee was warm. We called the service dept. for we had 5 year extended warranty on January 2, 2015 and it took almost 6 days for the service man to arrive. He told us that the motherboard had fried the compressor - we have been waiting for parts to come and it is FEBRUARY the 2nd and they might come this Friday if we are lucky. Sears says feel my pain - I havent had a fridge since New Years Day!!!! I am diabetic and need a fridge for veg., etc. for eating out is so unhealthy! My experience with LG is good, but since we bought our fridge, about two weeks later, the ice making part freezes. And then something happened where they had to come and change some part on the top of the box that was not making the ice. You press the button, and they wouldn’t come out. They had to change something right after not even a month after we bought. LG always are good because we have a washer and dryer LG. So, when I went to Costco and I saw the refrigerators over there, I liked the way they look. Also, theyre nice because the ice maker was on the door and not inside of the refrigerator. We needed a bigger space refrigerator. This is how I picked mine. I like the way how it’s designed in it. The freezer part of it is great. It has several layers. And the drink drawer is perfect. So, it’s very well-designed and made. I love it. I will recommend LG.

Bought a LG Top load washer less than 3 years ago for $720. Its constantly going out of balance several times every load you wash. Now the drive shaft broke and took out the wash plate as well. Despite the fact that the front of the washer has a 10 year warranty sticker plastered on the front of it LG refused to authorize the repair center to cover the parts under warranty, the cost of which is approx. $400-450. I called LG directly and they and talked to a technician first and she just kept telling me it was not her department and that she was only authorized to talk to the service repair company and not me.I had to beg to talk to a supervisor and had to wait forever to talk, for her to get on the line only to tell me that the 10 year warranty only covers the rotor and stator, not the drive shaft and basically told me I was SOL. Bottom line save yourself the heartache and money and dont ever buy a LG washer. They are JUNK and their customer service is non-existent!

I have had 2 service calls and still not fixed. The 1st service was replacing the sensor, 2nd was motherboard and next appt. will be all circuits/fuses on top of the washer which needs replaced from a continuous leak for long time that has caused rust and the serviceman was shocked when touched the unit. I have missed work for each visit, which thought would take care of the problem and be able to use the washer, month plus later.. Im still waiting for this unit to be fixed. LG is a name brand and it should be out of service this long without getting the washer replaced. I can understand if it were couple years old but this unit is barely over a year old. With all these problems this washer was a lemon from the get go and has never worked properly. When I purchased my first BRAND new washer, I did research and bought top of the line or so I thought I did. This has been huge disappointment and LG service center has been disappointment as well. This should have been replaced with a new one. As a single mother and live from pay to pay, this was a big purchase for me. I have 2 kids and laundry mat is the last place I wish to be spending my time and money considered my washer purchase was over 600 and only year old!!! Time and money and loss work time is VERY FRUSTRATING AND UPSETTING! I wish to buy the matching dryer but now Im considering different brand! LG make this right or I spread the word all over the internet media. VERY POOR RATING!!!UPDATE... 2 months later still broke. Will not replace or respond to my 20+ emails to resolutions@lge.com; lg.care@lge.com and website chat was absolutely worthless conversation and would not help me at all! Customer service is not helpful and will make you feel like you are the only one experiencing these problems. They send you incentives to positively review the product then make it impossible to update your review negatively. This machine will make you cry from frustration. I can honestly say that I will not buy another LG product because of this experience. My husband says to sell it on Craigslist and get something else. I cant do that to another innocent victim. I guess Im fortunate because this was given to me by a family member who was moving into a new home and remodeling the kitchen with all new appliances (installed it myself). LG inverter direct drive. Ive always used Finish cubes.

We have a 4 year old side by side LG refrigerator. Ever since last year the right side of the ice cube department completely freezes up and it makes it impossible to distribute cubes down tray. We change our filters every 6 months. For days we have put microwave hot rags down the right side of the cube holder to soften the cube holder so that we are able to move the tray holder out. This is very frustrating because we host a lot of parties and have to buy ice. The refrigerator is 41 degrees and the freezer is -2. Please help.

I have an LG refrigerator that has the known compressor issue. It failed within 3 years. Customer service was difficult to deal with. They eventually shipped part & agreed partial payment for repairs. From The LG authorized repair list given nobody would come & repair it for months ahead. I finally found a repair service available. With the consent of LG customer services I did the repair for $650. Submitted a receipt & was only reimbursed $200. Yet LG in court said “labor covered for 5 years”. Now at 5.5 years the product failed again. I spoke with customer service. They stated as an “unauthorized repair service was used all warranty is void”. Yet they knew who I was going with for the repair, have a copy of the receipt on file & previously authorized a partial labor payment. What a slippery way to get out of liability for a known product design defect. Customer services then terminated the call. If this is the treatment you want if/when your product fails, which it most likely will if it has a Linear motor, you have been warned.

We had this dishwasher for 11 mos before we noticed cracks along the top of the co tell panel. LG claims that this is surely cosmetic akin to a scratch or dent. I disagree, this is a poorly designed unit. Lowes actually did not want to cover this cosmetic defect, the repairman got it covered due to the cracks allowing moisture into the controls. Fast forward 3 mos, the newly replaced control panel now has cracks the same as the previous panel. The plastic used on these panels is apparently defective or the unit produces more heat than the panel can withstand. This is an engineering issue and not enough testing was done to notice the apparent heat issues. I am not the only person who has had this same problem, but yet LG does not want to admit it has issues.

When you pay $3500 for an appliance you do NOT expect it to break down and require the same part (that cost $240 to have the repairman fix) every 6 months. We bought the L-G LMXC 23746 at Best Buy in June 2015. In November 2016 shortly after the 1 year warranty expired (of course!) we had to replace the Evaporator Fan Motor. Since that time every 6 months the refrigerator starts to make a loud hum and we know it is burning out, AGAIN! Every time the repair man comes it cost $70 for the part L-G EAU 61505014 (Motor, DC), $50 for a service call, and $110 for labor to replace the fan. Clearly there is an issue with this LG product considering all the reviews citing the same problem. I thought there were laws to protect consumers from companies who make and sell DEFECTIVE products. But I guess we just have to keep paying $500 a year to fix it twice a year or invest thousands to replace a 2 year old appliance. NEITHER option is desirable! Disappointed with LG and with Best Buy for promoting this clearly DEFECTIVE product as a high-end REFRIGERATOR appliance.

I purchased the LG DLE2050W Dryer along with the matching washer 2.5 yrs ago. We have replaced a sensor, a fuse and when the dryer quit drying a week ago, I thought here we go again, ordered another fuse and guess what, that didnt work this time. I have had a couple of dryers over the 32 yrs of our marriage, and never had to replace more than a heating coil even with 2 boys growing up here. It is just my husband and I now, 2-3 loads a week and dealing with this is ridiculous. You have to take the drum out to get to the most minute parts and what a pain that is. So, this dryer will be stuck in the corner of the basement and tomorrow, I am getting a new Whirlpool and feel confident I wont be dealing with these issues again.

I bought my LG French door refrigerator in 2011 and its pretty much dead now. The ice maker was always flakey but we lived with it. The gasket doors started hanging up and we lived through it. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Ordered new ice maker but found out that it was not making ice because it was not cold enough. Cleaned the coils and it just slowly got worse. Ordered a temp sensor and the main pcb. Tried those parts but still not cooling properly. Called LG. I figured it was the compressor because I read that LG was using bad compressors. Paid a certified LG service provider 600.00 in labor to replace compressor.Called Friday and by Tuesday they were replacing the compressor, wow Im feeling good about now. Two guys 4 or 5 hrs later and calls to LG and they were told they needed the main pcb. I gave them the new pcb I had ordered and the same problem persisted. The compressor shuts down after 15 minutes. They said they would have to order another one from LG and come back. After not hearing for a couple of days I called them and ask them What was up? They said that they ordered but because LG was having so many problems with these compressors they were back ordered and they had no idea when a new compressor would arrive. They said not their fault call LG and ask them.Call LG but they were useless. They said they were not having any issues with bad compressors and dont believe anything you read on the internet. I asked What about the service provider? Is he lying to me? LG responds that it does not take much to become a warranty service provider just ask to be one. No training. Wow! LG pretty much said 7 years is the lifespan of their products and then they become legacy and put at back of the bus. They will provide parts if they can get them. I own a LG55 inch tv that fail after about 5 years, found a main board out of Nova Scotia and was able to repair that. If it wasnt for that it would in the trash. So here is the problem I paid the service provider to replace the compressor and LG provided the part but if they have to come back to do it again who pays for that? LG can send another compressor but theyre not paying for the service. The service provider had two guys for about 4 to 5 hrs. Why would the service provider work for free? I can see this evolving into cant get parts from LG and LG saying they have no issues supplying good parts forever and never repairing my fridge. Thank god I did not but an LG exploding phone. It took them forever to recall those phones!

I bought the machine two months ago and noticed my white clothing was coming out gray. I changed the soap and the settings (chose hot and heavily soiled), and it’s the same thing. I opened the machine during the wash cycle, and the water was consistently cold while the water in the sink by the machine is very hot. The technician from the store where I purchased the machine came out and found it working correctly; however, he also agreed that the water would not get hot. I called LG and discovered that the CW in the model number stands for cold water. In other words, this machine is designed to use lukewarm or cold water. That’s strange! I thought hot water was helpful in the washing process. I am now doing battle to exchange this ridiculously designed machine for one that will actually clean my clothing, and I wont give up until I have a replacement. No one in the appliance store understood what CW meant. They thought the W was for white in color. Good grief! By the way, the dryer isnt wonderful either.

My washer is 1 1/2 years old. Just before it went out of warranty, I noticed the bleach dispenser was starting to rust. I called LG and was told not their problem and if I want someone to look at it I have to pay for a repairman. I told them NO WAY. I would be glad to send pictures, still they said no. A couple months go by and I start to notice rust spots on my clothes so I called back this time. I was told there was a recall and they would fix that first then look into the rust problem. Repairman comes and just like everyone else did not fix the unbalance problem. I insisted on him taking pictures of the now very rusty bleach dispenser. After many calls, they finally agreed to fix. Well see. They are due here this Friday. This machine is junk!!!! I welcome a class action suit!!!!!!

I am not one to leave reviews for products... especially negative ones. But
I am not one to leave reviews for products... especially negative ones. But I have been so frustrated with our customer service at LG that I figured this was my only recourse. We have an LG refrigerator that is less than four years old. We paid about $2500 for it. We kept the one year warranty that came with it when we purchased it new. Within six months we had to use the warranty because something went wrong with the ice maker. It was frustrating that we had to wait about a week to get it fixed, but it was fixed with no cost to us as it was under warranty and all of the service and product was covered.Since then, the middle plastic drawer in the freezer broke and we eventually ended up just removing it from the freezer. Most recently our ice maker stopped working and eventually the refrigerator stopped cooling. After making no less than six phone calls to customer service and following their trouble shooting, we finally had to call a local service provider. The problem was that we could not find anyone in our area who worked with LG. Literally every place we called stated that LG was difficult to work with and their systems were difficult to diagnose. We found an LG certified technician about 45 minutes away but they wanted $200 plus mileage to come out and look at it. (Our one year warranty was up, so the only parts covered were the compressor and coils. Service was no longer covered). After making several more phone calls to LG, they told me that if I could find someone to look at it, then they would work with that technician to help us get it fixed. All I needed to do was to give them the contact information of the provider that we were going to use. Even after I did this, they told me that it would take 3-5 business days for them to approve the technician (at this point it has already been 4 weeks without use of our refrigerator). I asked for a supervisor and the policy was that they could not give me the direct number of a supervisor, that I had to wait for a phone call in return. I am a physician and do not have access to my phone during most of the day. When the supervisor did call back, she did not leave a return phone number, nor did she answer my question and instead, just reiterated that it would be 3-5 days for them to approve our technician. When the technician did come out, he discovered that there was a blockage within the sealed system that was causing the Freon to not move freely throughout the unit. His recommendation was to junk our refrigerator because he would have to completely take apart the sealed system and stated that this was too difficult. In his words no one in their right mind would take this apart and fix it and left it up to me to deal with LG because of past experience, he would not work with them. After more phone calls to LG and them refusing to provide me with the service department number (citing privacy policy), their solution was to call an LG certified technician. So I was back to calling the person who charged $200 plus mileage (the only one I could find within 60 miles who would come look at it). When I spoke with the technician on the phone, they indicated that they do sealed system work because LG wants to uphold their warranty. It was going to be a minimum of $400 to take apart the refrigerator and could be up to $1200 because it was so labor intensive. Keep in mind, that I spoke to several technicians who stated that they would total it, but the LG certified technician was the only one who would do the work.We have decided to just junk our refrigerator and buy a new one that is NOT LG. This is ridiculous because our fridge is less than 4 years old and we have already had these three major issues. In all of the phone calls to the LG customer service department, not once did I get any empathy or an apology for what we were dealing with. Not one customer service representative offered an alternative solution. They provided only barriers for us to get our refrigerator fixed. As I shared our story with our friends and family, we heard other experiences of very poor customer service and products through LG and we will never buy an LG product again.

DANGEROUS MICROWAVE! Not even a year old and some interior paint chipped after approx. 6 mos. of this brand new LG Microwave. It caused sparking and smelled like something was burning. It more than likely could have caught fire if I didnt catch it right away by pressing Stop on the control panel. There was exposed metal inside around the door area where the paint chipped. I didnt return it cause I lost the receipt (I have bank info cause I paid with my Debit Card). I never purchase insurance cause I have been ripped off so much with that. I cant afford to buy another microwave so I put some appliance paint on the chipped area let it dry overnight. It did work, however a few months later it chipped and again MORE SPARKING in a different area. Repeated the process with the appliance paint and again it worked. Shouldnt have to worry about this. I dont walk away when using this microwave cause its DANGEROUS!I was also unhappy with this LG Microwave due to it being LOUD, HARD TO SEE CONTROL PANEL, COOKS VERY HOT (OVERCOOKS USING THE CONTROL PANELS TIMED COOKING & TEMP eg... Potatoes, Popcorn etc. I did read reviews prior to purchasing and some of the issues can be overcome, however not the FIRE HAZARD ISSUE! I was surprised to see 4-5 star reviews. I truly believe they are filtered cause I tried to place this review on LGs site and it was not posted? Consumers need to know Buyer Beware.

Bought the microwave from Walmart in 2019, used it without issue for about a year. Last night, I put something in to warm for 1 minute. (No metals etc of course.) And no sooner had the minute started I turned away, heard a huge grinding whoosh noise, turned back to see fire coming from the right side panel. It made the sound again, another burst of flame and I shut it off. I had the unit unplugged and set outside. I contacted LG with a pic of a clear burn mark on the right panel, explained what happened and they told me too bad, nothing they can do, try returning it to store. ALSO, they further accused me of exploding something in the microwave itself. This was the suggestion of a supervisor. I am appalled and surprised at how they handle this situation. I would seriously reconsider buying anything from them. This could have ended up so much worse than $150 down the drain.

This was the biggest mistake buying the LG LFX 2578ST. After only 6 months the compressor conked out. LG has left us waiting for a replacement compressor on order that will take 2 or 3 days at which point the repair person would be sent out. I have always bought Miele and Bosch appliances but because we had space limitations the LG was perfect, looked good and had all the features we needed. The fridge I replaced was 12 years old and we never had a problem with it. LG has been less than helpful and really left us stranded with no fridge. I have no confidence in their product and customer service has been disappointing. They are not solution focused, have no intention of replacing the fridge and state they will cover only $250 in perishables in a lifetime. I would not recommend this product, have found the entire experience frustrating. This is a company that does not stand behind their product nor do they practice the art of great customer service.

Our LG fridge compressor went out after 3 years, so no cooling/freezing at all. Called LG support and it’s under warranty. They gave 10 repair places that they would pay for the repair. LG sent a technician but it took over a week to get repaired. We lost all refrigerated items. After the first repair, it failed again and took a while to get a repair technician. We lost another refrigerator full of food. Shortly, it failed again within the first year. I again requested a new refrigerator. LG sent two different technicians, who worked on the refrigerator for about 5 hours, taking everything apart. I did not have any confidence that it would not fail again. In August 2019, it failed again. I called LG, who gave me a list of authorized technicians. We could not deal with more repairs, failures or lost food so we purchased a new different refrigerator. Four years ago we purchased LGs glass top range for $899. Its now 2015 and the largest burner element is already dead. For that amount of money this thing should last at least 10 years or more. They sure dont make things like they used to! Repair of the burner is within the measly five-year warranty (this should have been my red flag before buying), but honestly who wants to go through the hassle? Well probably have better luck fixing it ourselves than dealing with an inept service rep. I realize theyre not the same but my mother-in-law also had issues with her LG television that she owned for only a couple of years. I think LG should stick with cellphones and leave the appliances and electronics to a more capable company.

Lg really needs to improve quality. I have experienced only junk coming from LG. Lg stove, broken after 3 years of use. Should not need a $300 gas valve And an ignitor $100, already! I am a service tech. Lg microwave exhaust fan does not reach 400 cfm (needed for gas stove) and goes slower when microwave is turned on. Junk! Air flow meter only reads up to 260 cfm with a transition to direct airflow through meter. Refrigerator, you have to open both doors to open crisper drawers.Very poor design! How about someone actually try to clean this fridge...what a joke! Takes almost a day to break down fridge to clean. Fire that designer, probably couldn’t design a way out of a paper bag. Lg ductless split ac. Again just junk! Poor design. I will be sharing my experiences with the garbage your company is putting out. Not a happy lg user, Richard. Lg gas stove, lg fridge, lg microwave exhaust and experienced lg ductless split. JUST DON’T BUY LG! Parts are waaay too expensive! Also not readily available! Too many issue in design to mention for fridge. Gas stove is very poorly designed. Very cheap. These products just feel CHEAP! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap products! Well, it finally decided to go all the way crazy & water was spewing from the bottom of the washing machine from somewhere. By the time we noticed it our washing area and hallway was completely flooded upstairs and water was leaking all through our house downstairs. It was horrible! The other came after 3 days, opened back of fridge and confirmed the compressor issue and closed it back up stating they wont do warranty work on LG compressors and if I found someone to do it, my cost could be very expensive. He stated that the Linear compressors are a piece of junk and if repaired, I may get one year if Im lucky. Told me to take it out back and burn it. He stated LG makes inferior products and to steer clear. Now Im out $2200 and looking for another refrigerator. I know Im walking past any LG product. There is a class action lawsuit regarding the defective compressors.

In summary we have bought LG Fridge and the first time it malfunction in less than 5 years the formal support in Egypt came. They took the malfunction electronic card but never showed up again for more than 3 months and left us with unfunctional fridge. Last week they returned it unfixed to tell us that we have a piece of scrap metal in our home that cannot be fixed by its own company!!! It is a total failure to be unable to fix your own products in less than 5 years for the first time it malfunction. I am searching for a lawyer to sue them.

These knobs are an extreme danger to anyone that has one of these ranges in their home. I cannot understand why this range (LDE4415 st) has not been recalled or that LG has not developed a fix for this dangerous problem.

They sell the LG product where my wife works and we purchased a refrigerator from there. But when it was delivered, it was damaged by the people that delivered it. I was trying to get it repaired and it was a complete nightmare dealing with LG. They w were absolutely horrible and pathetic. I’ve been dealing with an issue since March and it just got completed last week. That’s how long I’ve been dealing with this. Also, those people don’t even know what the part numbers are for their own product. They tell you they’re gonna call you back, but they never do. If I don’t initiate a phone call, I never hear from them. Then they tell you they’re gonna follow up, but they never follow up. Aside from that, I paid for a part to come to me and when it came, it was the wrong part. They’re liars over there and they tell you what you wanna hear. But once you hang up with them, they’re done with you. The only good thing about LG was the service tech that they sent out here last Thursday and everything’s working fine since he’s been out. Still, I’m never buying another LG product and Id never recommend it.

My LG refrigerator was purchased less than 5 years ago and it’s now non-operational. On 6/29/2013, everything was fine. About 12 noon, and returning from our weekly grocery shopping, we discovered that the lighting in the refrigerator was no longer working. We then noticed moisture all around the top of the doors and upon further checking, discovered the refrigerator was no longer working. It is over 80 humid degrees outside and a Saturday. It is our belief that the circuit board needs to be replaced. There were no signs whatsoever that something might be going wrong. It is my understanding that LG refrigerators should only be worked on by an LG trained repair person. We are not very happy.

Ive had issues with the front loader getting off balanced and causing error messages. The website states to unplug and washer will reset, which seems to work. Now it seems to off balance with every load and I find Im resetting a few times each wash. Not only that, but now my clothes are getting a moldy smell and I am rewashing to get the odor out. Very disappointed in this expensive product. I was thinking of purchasing a refridge from this company, but will look at other brands instead.

I do not understand how your company can recall a washing machine, put a part in the machine and it is still not fixed but yet your company calls it completed. I am not able to wash my childrens winter coats, raincoats, sporting clothing, bathroom rugs, and everything else that has water proofing including my sons, who is in a crib, mattress bed. I dont understand how your company can call it fixed. I am very disappointed with your company and unless I get resolution to this problem, I will be going to the Attorney General in NYS. I plan also to spread the word regarding the lack of customer satisfaction I received from your company. This is awful to do to customers who made good money for a product. Now, I have to go to a Laundromat to wash my clothes. Does that make sense to anyone who has bought a washer???

I purchased LG stainless double-door bottom freezer refrigerator model #lfy
I purchased LG stainless double-door bottom freezer refrigerator model #lfy25980st in 2009. I purchased a two-year extended warranty on the item. From the first six months, the ice maker and water dispenser worker poorly. Servicemen were out several times attempting to repair it. Finally they replaced it. I woke up several times after that to water all over my kitchen floor where water was running from dispenser. Then in September of 2011, I came home from vacation to find all the food in the freezer thawed and milk spoiled in fridge. In December that same year, the food on top shelf of fridge was frozen. I was told that I had the vents blocked with too much food. In 2012, the digital lock signal on the door panel would make sounds turning on and off the lock which turns off the water and ice dispenser. It made this noise all night. At this time, my warranty was up and I was using my home warranty plan at $55.00 per visit with a visit sometimes twice a month. I lost food at $400.00 a second time. The service men came out, changed the freezer sensor twice, replaced freezer door on unit and changed the motherboard in back of unit. It still didnt work properly. My home warranty company called LG, spoke to a gentleman named Alex who deemed it unrepairable on March 29th, 2014 with a wiring problem. I was told to send in my proof of purchase and repair history and they would replace or discount another one. Today, 5/8/2014, they have done nothing. As a matter of fact, I was told that since I had a warranty company, they would do nothing. The company only covers $500.00 per year on any covered item and they had already spent that trying to repair it. I would think LG could make a unit that works, not just looks good. Not even two good years. No one should ever buy LG products; I know that is it for my family!!

We purchased our LG front loading washer and dryer in 2018. Like many of the reviews I have read we too are very disappointed in our purchase. I noticed that the clothes came out smelling within a few months of buying and I called LG DIRECTLY as it was under their warranty but was told that I need to run the tub clean more often. Done that for over a year and also washed clothes twice - not efficient as waste of energy. We do have an extended warranty and recently a tech came out so I let him open the washer door as I had just done a tub clean the night before - it smelled like a rat was dead in the drum. He too agreed he had never experienced that before! He poured half a bottle of my Bleach and ran the cycles again for almost 2 hours. Said the problem was fixed and if I experienced the smell again I needed to call them back thru Assurant the company who warranties the extended warranty. Did so and they declined to send a different tech saying that there was no mechanical problem. My clothes come out smelling and the even the dryer time has to be increased to double for the clothes to dry correctly. NEVER BUY THIS WASHER OR DRYER EVER. EVEN THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL OT HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM. I bought the pair from a very reputable store in the area but I believe that LG Is aware of the problems with the machines and do not want to take responsibility for the defects. I do hope this review deters anyone buying an LG front load direct drive washer and dryer.

I purchased my LG front load steam washer, model WM2501HWA, in April of 2010. It worked fine until May 2014 when it just stopped mid-spin cycle. It totally lost all power. I checked the obvious, tripped breaker switch, plugs, and all was fine. So I called a repair company that was recommended to me by a friend. They diagnosed the problem as a bad power board. It was also recommended that I replace the noise filter at the same time. Parts and labor would be over $300 not including diagnostic fee. After waiting a month for the parts, they installed them and it worked. After about 6 loads it died again! Ive been waiting for the new parts and its been over a month! I asked the repair company if they could just refund my money so I could just get a new one and they said they wanted to install the new parts first. They have yet to receive my parts and I am spending $25 a week at the laundromat. The first mistake I made was buying an LG washer and dryer. My second mistake was calling a bad repair company. I am currently out $300 and have no working washer. I am so mad!! Dont buy LG!!!

I purchased a French door stainless steel unit, Model number LFX31925ST. The compressor stopped working. I contacted LG, we went through a series of diagnostics, and the LG technical support folks confirmed that the compressor was the likely culprit, and that the compressor was under warranty. The first two service providers provided by LG would not service my unit. I called back. I got another LG recommended provider who did come out and perform a diagnostic, confirming not only had the compressor failed, but that the heat during the failure melted the internal coils, rendering the unit in their opinion non-repairable. This report was sent to LG tech support. LG tech support then claimed that they needed more info from their recommended technical service, requiring that I pay them again, to come out, disassemble the unit, take pictures, and concurrently be on the phone with LG Electronics. All this was done, with a promise from LG that this would get reviewed by their technical managers and that I would hear back by the close of business. Hearing nothing back, I contacted LG again the following morning (10/3/2018) and was advised by LG that they had not received the pictures so they were still waiting. Since I was standing by the vendor when he sent the pictures, and the LG tech support person was still on the phone at the time, this claim was dubious at best. I have now been without a refrigerator since 09/19, with no known resolution path. I am a Sr. VP of Operations & Quality, and this is the worst customer service experience I have encountered from a major corporation in my lifetime. If they are not going to honor their warranty, they should have the decency to say so, so I can shop for a replacement.

I purchased an LG washing machine in 2011. At the time of its purchase, the machine started to produce oil like stains on the clothes. I tried several detergents and purchased several different types of tub cleaners to no avail. After 6 months of repeated stains, I called the Sears technical department to complain about the situation. A technician was sent out to my house to provide preventive maintenance. Upon arrival, I indicated that the machine did not require its yearly maintenance but rather a repair. The technician indicated, after looking at the machine, that he could not detect a deficiency with the machine. He did acknowledge that the stains were coming from the machine. Several calls to the technical department, the customer service department, and an in store visit to Sears to discuss the way forward with an area manager has proven to be futile. I still sit with a machine that produces oil stains on my clothes. I have incurred enormous costs having to throw away clothes because they are no longer fit to wear. I am now considering purchasing another machine, and I have stopped purchasing anything from Sears purely out of principle.

I purchased an LG model WM2701HV washing machine (and accompanying dryer) in 2011. In just over a year, the plastic was crumbling into chunks around the detergent dispenser and the writing around the cycle dial was rubbing off. I now have to look at the owner’s manual to make sure I am using the correct cycle because the panel is unreadable. Then, after about a year and a half, I had to replace the drain pump. And of course, I have the smell and mold issue no matter what I use / how often I clean it. So, I have a very expensive, top-of-the-line appliance that I hate. My old $500 top load machine was still going strong after almost 20 years - wish I still had it! No more LG products for me...

I would give LG service negative stars, if I can. I purchased a dishwasher in April (model number: LDS4821ST), and the unit has worked pretty well. Recently and suddenly, the paint on one of the control buttons started to come off. I called LG and sent them pictures. I was told that it was a cosmetic problem, and they would not repair. I understand if this was a year or two from now, but four months after purchase and the paint is coming off? It is an obvious quality problem.I purchased a washer and a drier from LG about five years ago, and feel they were of much better quality than their current products. I bought a fridge as well in April, and that has problems already, as well. LG was totally dismissive; what is worse is that they refused to send me their response in writing! I purchased what appeared to be an attractive French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy for over $2,000. After less than 2 years, all the door bins are cracked and about to literally fall off the doors. In addition, the freezer tray drawer is deteriorating and plastic pieces are breaking off and falling onto the food in the freezer drawer below. The drawer almost doesnt work now. We also purchased an extended warranty (Geek Squad) for another $249 but when I called them, they said that these items are not covered, because they do not affect the refrigerators ability to cool! I have more than 35 years in the plastics industry and know for a fact that these parts are failing because of a combination of poor product design and poor material selection. Its too bad I didnt read this blog before I purchased an LG refrigerator, and I strongly warn against buying their products. And I will never again purchase a Geek Squad warranty (who subcontracts their appliance claims to N.E.W.).

Purchased an LG Door-within-a-door Refrigerator in July 2017. On September 6, 2020 the unit failed and we woke the next day to find all the food in the freezer was soft and the refrigerator was warm. Because of the holiday we had to wait 2 days to get a repair man to diagnose the problem... only to find out that no one in our area would service LG refrigerators due to consistent problems with warranty issues.3 calls to the LG 800 Customer Service center provided additional frustration due to the artificial intelligence support person taking information and then stating that it was a warranty issue and I would be handed off to a live agent... only to have the call dropped after 45 seconds of Muzak. I then went to the web site customer support and after providing all the information again to the service bot I was handed over to a live agent, and had to repeat all the information since he could not access the service bots data. After a 20 minutes of review and discussion it was determined it was probably a warranty issue and he authorized a repair ticket to be sent to an authorized repair tech, and after a 5 minute search reported that he could not find an available repair tech in my locality, but he would e-mail with the information. He did e-mail a name and contact information of a repair service and said I would get a call from them to set up the appointment, and if I didnt hear from them within 7 days to call LG back. The repair service called the next day September 9th and gave me a tentative appointment for September 17th to replace the compressor, assuming that LG sent the correct part on time. This was their 1st available appointment as they had that many LG compressors failing. Today September 15th I received a call stating that the compressor had not shipped yet and the anticipated receipt gave a new install date of October 2nd.... 25 days after the refrigerator failed! Never again will I consider an LG product.

Bought a LG Dryer and washer combo in April 2015 and I am so disappointed in myself in doing so. Since I bought it I am having issues with dryer. The clothes catching the lint filter since day 1 and it has ruined so many of my clothes. I have done small loads, big loads, using protective nets for bras and fine pieces of clothing and nothing helped so far, I have not complained yet and I just dealt with it and threw the twisted clothing pieces in the garbage, every time it happened but this morning when I woke up and found the entire load of my summer clothes twisted in a giant rope look a like this brought me to an edge. The dryer filter will not completely seal and it has caught clothing on the corner and it twisted it until every piece of clothing was ruined and even opened the door of the dryer on its own. I did not where to start to unwind the clothes, this is terrible. I will NEVER, EVER buy an LG product again EVER. I was so in shock and started unwinding clothes without thinking to take a picture of that terrible sight.

Unplugged the Refrigerator for 12 hours, plug back in and it was quiet and cooling till 10 hours later when the noise is back but seems to be still cooling. Did a bunch of troubleshooting over the phone with no definitive solution. Called back this morning to LG to explain to them the current situation and requested a service call.
