Initially I chose LG brand because I like their other appliances such as TV, Washing Machines, etc. When I bought the refrigerator that was the guiding and deciding factor, familiarity. What I like the most about the LG brand is the nice slick look. I like the brand itself in general. My favorite color in most appliances of that nature is stainless steel. I have been satisfied with the look, functioning and features of my LG refrigerator. I like the inside of the refrigerator as much as the outside. I like the design that allow me to pack my food nicely. Everything I need is neatly tucked away in a place that I am pleased and comfortable to reach and store it.

I bought my LG refrigerator model lfxs30726s in 2014, in August 2015 thats when we start having problems. I lost all my food in the refrigerator and freezer. Again in May of 2017 I lost all my food in my refrigerator and freezer. Its like starting all over again. Replace all your food in the freezer refrigerator. Its tiring and I dont like camping out and buying food everyday. The warranty doesnt pay for your food that you have to buy every day and then what you have to refill your refrigerator and freezer, they only give you a minimum amount of money to refill up your refrigerator and freezer again. Expensive warranty for five years is not going to be enough. I think you need at least 5 years to make it 10 years on my freezer and refrigerator. Good luck...

Had this LG direct drive 9 kg washing machine for 18 months now and its been a pain, had an engineer out once, called customer services twice lately and after saying someone would get back to me in 48hrs Im still waiting, that was 2 weeks ago! Machine is extremely sensitive, stops midway through a wash saying it has an uneven load when there is a small jacket in it! You also have 2 to drain the tub manually after it stops, all in all I would never recommend anyone buy this machine as its been a nightmare and LG customer services are just as bad???

My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last
My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last Saturday, Aug. 10. I called LG Monday morning, and they referred me to their repair service, a company called ANE. After I called them, they finally sent out a repairman yesterday (Thursday), and he told me I had a bad circuit board and possibly a compressor. The parts would have to be ordered, and I probably would not have the unit working for another two weeks. The bill will be about $500. When I asked him how I was supposed to live without refrigeration for that long, he replied, Go rent one. That is indescribably bad customer service. To add insult to injury, it is quite apparent neither LG nor ANE could care less. LG Customer Service is an oxymoron. Please stay away from this company and Samsung as well (they also use ANE) until they establish a better service provider.

LG LMV1680ST - We bought this range hood/microwave 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago from (I believe) Home Depot and didnt have any extended warranty, so we arent looking to have it replaced or fixed. Yes its VERY loud, its cheaply constructed of plastic and like so many others, the handle broke and the frame cracked on the top corner. We are going to get a normal range hood and bring my Panasonic Inverter (7 yrs old counter top version) up from down stairs. We just want to inform the consumer of a serious defect. Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

Im very disappointed with my LG Washer. We bought it over 2 yrs and it started leaking from the bottom about 7 mos ago. It doesnt do it every time, but enough times that it is becoming a nuisance. It also shakes even when the load is very light. Im so frustrated with it that I am considering going back to a top loader. I had my previous washer for years and never had problems like this. So sad considering all the money we spent for this LG pair.

I purchased this LG LSXS26386 refrigerator new from Home Depot in June 2016. Shortly after it was delivered, the refrigerator door had to be replaced because the door in door wouldnt stay closed. Now in October 2017, I am having another issue with this refrigerator. It has begun to make a buzzing sound each time the motor is running. After calling LG, they said, through smart technology of my refrigerator, that the error code SBS-ERDS (defrosting system) will require a repair. They offered me a charge of $425 (1 year) or $338 (1 time) repair. I cant believe this! After only 17 months of usage, this piece of garbage refrigerator is already costing me more money. Do not waste your money on this refrigerator or any other product LG is trying to sell!

I really like my LG washing machine and dryer. It doesnt look as upgraded as some of Samsungs new dryers but it gets the job done. But I would have preferred more color choices without having to spend an additional couple hundred dollars. I love that there is not an agitator and it has an extra large capacity. I can easily fit my king size comforters in the basin. I love the turbo speed function that allows you to wash your clothes at a reduced time. You also save a lot of water because it only puts in enough water to cover the clothes. The machine does a survey for the weight and size of the load to determine the amount of water to use. I normally only need the smallest amount of detergent in most loads, so you save money there too. There are plenty of cycles types to select from and some you can customize. My dryer has an awesome steam feature! This really reduces wrinkles in dress clothing! I also love the sensing feature on the dryer. I rarely have to add more time or dry a second time. It also has a large capacity. The signal indicating both the washer and dryer could be louder. There is also an app with the units that you can get laundry tips. I would have preferred to be able to start and stop functions and/or time left on loads with the app. You can also use your cell phone to diagnose errors on the units. You hold the phone to the unit and it sends codes to help with troubleshooting. The washing machine could be more quiet. I can definitely hear the wash if Im in rooms next door. During some heavy rinse cycles I can hear and feel it shaking since the unit is on my second floor. All in all I really like the set.

We purchased this dryer less than a year ago at Lowes. Since purchasing this new dryer, I have to run all loads on a minimum of 2 cycles to dry, mostly with towels and not huge loads but maybe 10 towels I usually have to run through 4 dry settings to get them dry enough which is ridiculous. This is why we replaced our old Samsung dryer. Gonna be replacing our washing machine soon, and after this complete waste of a dryer purchase, we will definitely be looking at other avenues and brands for our washing machine upgrade. I have 2 college students and one middle school and 3 people working in my house and dont have time to wait 3 hours for dry clothes. Do not recommend this product as a dryer for anyone.

My three year old washer is being consumed with rust. We are not careless and try hard to never splatter the chlorine. At the rate of corrosion there is no way the frame can last long enough to cover the 10 year warranty. Thinking this was surely a defect considering the $899 price tag, I called LG Customer Service. They are not located in the U.S.A. They then told me there is no warranty on the washer housing and began schooling me on being careful when adding the Clorox because it is very corrosive. Really? One would think the LG engineers would realize that when designing the washer. Now we have mechanical issues and are in need of other repairs. NOTE. LG is not American made. Definitely not worth the money and I do not recommend buying one.

1) Super-duper energy efficiency is achieved by hard tumbling. I always set up this machine on the lowest possible setting for soil and spinning, yet it ruined a whole load of clothes. Everything made of knitted fabric (read: all T-shirts and all short-sleeve shirts) after one single washing cycle is stretched to the point that it is no longer usable, precisely - became 2 times wider and 2 times shorter. Also, I have 2 regular shirts ruined - the machine tears off buttons with pieces of fabric, and just tears apart fine fabric. I want to underline again - it happened on the lowest soil and spin setting. So, basically, if you are interested in Delicate cycle - it does not exist. All other cycles have no value, since you will get your clothes ruined anyway. The only thing the machine could be usable - washing jeans and soldier uniforms. Towels and linens are okay too, but forget about washing your clothes, any knitted and fine fabric.2) Because it is high energy efficiency machine, you cannot choose water temperature. Well, nominally you can, but in practice it tries to use cold water. In most of the settings except the last one, you will get cold water in the washing tank. The highest possible setting, hot/warm still uses cold water from the tap, and the machine does not have a water heater. So, to get hot water only you have to dance around it, and turn cold water tap off, then on.3) Water efficiency feature does not exist - it has a couple of settings like half tank and full tank. So, if you want to wash a couple of jeans or 4 shirts, you will get a half tank of water, and the tank is huge.Overall - taking into account the price, the efficiency, and the amount of good clothes I have spoiled by the machine - this is the worst purchase in my life.

Bought a microwave in Canada in November to bring south for the winter as we are Canadian snowbirds. Arrived in Yuma, Az and about 2 weeks after arrival the microwave quit working. There is a manufacturing date of July 2015 stamped right on the microwave but all my paperwork for purchase is in Canada. I phoned LG and without the paperwork they will do nothing. I tried desperately to get some paper work from Canada but was unable to get. I therefore have to go buy another microwave to get me through the winter. I can get the micro repaired when I get back to Canada in April and produce the paperwork but then Ill have 2 microwaves which doesnt make much sense. I asked the LG person that I phoned how they could not just repair it when the manufacture date is stamped right on it. NO EXCEPTIONS he said. This to me is absolutely ridiculous. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live.

Because the defrost heater went out after the 1 yr warranty, I had to pay to have the defrost heater replaced which cost me $400. It has been a little over a year and its freezing up all up under the crispers and deli tray again. Ice everywhere. LG does not back their products. Washing machine self-destructed after 1 year 8 months. My washing machine destroyed itself while on the spin cycle, ruining the washing machine and damaging the adjacent walls of the laundry room. It has been two months, with weekly follow-ups to LG and no progress toward even looking at the machine. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not a warranty issue. I would strongly discourage purchasing an LG washing machine. I replaced the machine with a Samsung which has performed well.

I purchased an LG stove less than 5 years ago. Shortly after the warranty of one year expired, the electronic keypad went out. With the keypad out, you are not able to use the stove for anything - burners or stove part. I contacted the dealer where we had purchased the stove for $850 and he got us the part and replaced it. We had to wait a few weeks for the part to come in. Now the electronic keypad has gone out again and after contacting LG, we were told that they will not stand behind their product or the parts past the warranty period. The warranty on the part was 90 days. We have to fix it to do anything with it. Bottom line to this, do not buy LG as their product is not good and they do not stand behind it. After fixing again, we will see about trading it in for a different brand. Our dealer has been wonderful. I feel sorry for them having to face the public for LGs products.

I bought a two drawer LG refrigerator last July and two days ago the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge stopped cooling. I called LG and they said that the earliest a technician could come out to look at it was in 4 days. I kept my cool and told the lady that this is not my problem and that she needed to let me know when the technician would be at my house. We talked for an hour, she kept telling me that the repair persons dont work on the weekend and I explained to her that this is not acceptable and to please call me back to let me know when someone would be at my house to fix the fridge which by the way is under warranty. She hasnt called back. I had to throw out the contents of the freezer and the fridge except for the ketchup.Apparently they have a process to refund damage or soiled goods but I have yet to receive the email from them to fill it out and send it in. I suggested that she call Lowes and have them send me a new fridge as I know they keep inventory in their stores. She seemed confused when I said this and I asked her where she was located. She said in the Philippines. I kept conversing with her and asked her what she would do if it was her family that didnt have a fridge to cool food products. She didnt seem to have an answer. All in all LG stands for Lifes good, well Lifes not so good in my house. I doubt I will buy an LG product ever ever again.

This has been the most horrible experience I have ever had with an appliance. Purchased this back in 2016 and have now had five compressors on this refrigerator. Last compressor was installed on September 5th, and it still doesnt work. LG coming back out on September 11th to replace it again. Purchased three year warranty and because all repairs werent taken care of by the warranty company, they wont honor it and replace or refund our money. LG has stated multiple times they will continue to inconvenience us as long as they can keep replacing compressors. They only offered a one time $200 refund for food lost. Weve now lost an entire refrig/freezer full of food four times. Will never purchase an LG appliance again, and will make sure everyone I come in contact with knows the experience Ive had with this company and how LG cares nothing about the way they treat their customers.

We purchased our LG French door refrigerator in September 2007. We thought it was a wise purchase but after 6 1/2 years we have found out its not. The refrigerator part of the unit was getting warm so we called for service, we only had to wait 2 days for the service man to arrive, okay not bad. I guess they are busy, and after reading the reviews here I guess they are. Anyway the service man told me it looks like the control board is bad and it would cost $300.00 to fix it. He recommended that we kick the fridge to the curb and buy a new one, he told me that the compressor would only last between 7-9 years and since we are so close to that time it would not pay to repair it. I really appreciate his honesty but I dont think I will buy another LG refrigerator, I dont think that spending $200.00 a year is worth it on a LG.

I purchased a DLGX3471V dryer and I have to say, I so regret tossing my perfectly good Kenmore for this piece of junk. It never fails but EVERY load I dry comes out with ripped and torn clothing from catching on the lint tray that no longer fits into the door slot. The plastic breaks apart and catches on the clothes (especially bra straps and tank tops) making them unusable. I have lost a ton of pants and shirts being mangled and ripped by the broken pieces of plastic on the lint tray. I have ordered and replaced the screen twice since it was purchased (3 screens in 4 years). Avoid LG products - hopefully whomever came up with this design no longer works for the company!

On June 7 of this year my saga with LG started. They attempted the first repair on my not quite two year old refrigerator (LSFD2491ST) which has an extended warranty on top of being under manufacturers warranty. Till today there have been 6 repair attempts plus a few more diagnostic visits and they havent been able to make it work once. Lately the technician whose name is Kevin but wont tell me his last name has become disgruntled. Has failed to show to his appointments 7 times. This means 28 hours of waiting. He has stated on his last two visits that there is nothing he can do and claims he will deem unrepairable but when I call LG they say he has not named it so.I have asked for alternate solutions with other technicians or perhaps outsourcing to authorized service providers but they just keep rescheduling Kevin who hasnt been able to fix and has just stopped showing up. They say they reached out to him and his manager but nothing happens. The extended warranty company called Warrantech states their hands are tied since they only will use LG. I am out of patience and ideas; seems this company is stalling. This has been disruptive to my family, expensive in having to eat or order out much more often, having to wait for hours for a tech that wont show up and the anxiety that it has produced. Out of patience and idea short of a lawsuit. Anyone with experience in this?

We bought all new higher end LG appliances. Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, and microwave. Fridge had a catastrophic failure at just over one year, luckily we bought the extended warranty. Then the ice maker died at about year 4. The micro broke in the first year (under warranty) and again at about year 3, (I was able to fix). The dishwashers rack rusted out at about year 2, again warranty and then the dishwasher just died at year 5 and may be too expensive to repair. The range has been problem free. The entire line of appliances appears to be inferior with regular breakdowns. Now that we are out of warranty we will replacing with different brands as things continue to die. I will try to get to the point. 5 yr old French door fridge stopped cooling. Called customer service to diagnose problem. Used Bluetooth feature to diagnose over the phone. They told us the bottom door was not closing properly and to have repairman come out. Repairman said it was the compressor. Took a week for the new part to arrive and repair to be done. When I asked why LG didnt diagnose the compressor as the problem over the phone...he told us they dont like to tell people bad news. Wow!!! Really LG? We are using our warranty through Home Depot to be reimbursed for the loss of food and repairs. I would not recommend LG to anyone. The heart of the fridge shouldnt go out after 5 years. As technician was removing inside grille to get to fan he broke the grille. He defrosted the ice from the fan motor and replaced the grille with one he had in his truck. Set temperature for refrigerator to +34 degrees and temperature for freezer to -1 degree. He wrote up the service ticked and charged $81.98 for the “Duct Assembly, Multi (item number: **)” that he broke plus the $120 for service call plus $4.34 tax on the replacement grille part. 10-06-14 Sent Fax to a ** in the Alabama location concerning telephone conversation in which he advised LG would reimburse me for the cost of the repair part plus the tax. Fax included cover sheet, two page service ticket and copy of purchase order from hhgregg.10-22-14 Called service center and after a 20 minute hold to verify my status, was advised that I should hear from Alabama around November 3rd. 07-10-15 Around 4:52 PM Eastern Time, called service center and advised them that freezer was not freezing (temperature was 62 degrees and rising) and that all food in freezer had spoiled. Furthermore, the refrigerator temperature was almost 70 degrees and food had spoiled. Additionally the unit was making a loud motor noise in the rear of the unit. After trying to explain the issue over and over again I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes and 26 seconds until I disconnected the call from my cell phone, but not before I had called the service center again from my house phone. It was only after I explained everything again that I was informed that the executive staff (supervisors) department closed at 5:00 PM and that I could not run the “Smart Diagnostic” over the telephone because all of the service technicians in their department had also gone at 5:00 PM, that I would have to call back tomorrow on 7-11-15. The service center advised me that the service warranty had expired and any service call would be $120.00 plus parts. This was mentioned on three different times during the call. I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.

In October of 2019 I purchased a full suite of LG appliances, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. All purchased from and installed by Best Buy. I really like all the appliances and they all seem to perform well, with the exception of the dishwasher. I have a constant and ongoing problem with it draining. This problem appeared within the first month. Best Buy came out and could not replicate the problem. In January the same problem again. Best Buy replaced the drain pump. That lasted less than one week. By this point Best Buy was no longer off in home service appointments because of the Covid-19 thing.I went to the LG web. Requested a repair. The service responded the next day, came out a determined a new control board was needed. A week later they came out to replace it. That lasted 4 days. I am now once again without a dishwasher. Ive again requested service from LG but have yet to hear back, that was yesterday. Today I called your 800 number and ended up hanging up on your representative because of the poor service offered by her. Its time you replace this dishwasher, as I am tired of having to arrange my schedule to fit in repairs that last less than a week.

Im going to make this quick and simple a easy read. I have had an amazing experience with LG televisions for years. The washing machines however are a whole different animal! My thought process was spend a good amount of cash get a good name brand, and it would last me at least 10+ years. Not the case!! We purchased our front load LG washer in 2012. It worked fine up until about 6 months ago. It would stop about 10 times through a wash cycle. It would take about 3 hours per load! Ridiculous!!! Of course we tried contacting LG to no avail! Got the run around from several scripted employees. I will never purchase a LG washer of any kind and suggest anyone else do the same!! Unless you enjoy spending your hard earned money on a worthless product that would only last 4 years if you are lucky!

Bought this French door LG refrigerator in May 2015 model number- LFXS307668. Paid 3200.00 for it. Leaking water on the floor, not cooling, all food ruined. Been through much of what the others have noted. Run around from LG. Told by a certified LG repairman he has received at least 30 calls this week with the same issue- freon leak, compressor, evaporator, etc. Huge cost to repair. Quoted 700.00 for labor only, no warranty after 90 days from repair and it can easily take a month to get parts as they are backlogged. What a money pit! Wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing. NEVER buying an LG product again. There should be a class action law suit against this company. Read somewhere that some Kenmores are made by LG.

My beautiful blue coating blistered after the first self cleaning cycle. I was just past warranty when I needed to run the cleaning. LG did not feel they owe us anything as it was past warranty. When I buy an oven I expect it to last 10 years or more, not 1 or 2. What is most disappointing is that we chose the model after careful analysis and based our decision on the high opinion of CONSUMER REPORT!! WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK IT IS - THE TOP UNDER THE BURNERS IS NOT EVEN CERAMIC - IT IS A BLACK PAINT!!!! It scratched after light cleaning with an SOS PAD!!!! STAY AWAY FROM LG - BAD PRODUCT, NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

I’ve had my refrigerator for 9 years, the ice maker quit working within a couple years, now the compressor is out. It’s been out for 6 weeks, it’s still under warranty. I’ve been told that they don’t last over 10 years. I’ve been in contact with LG several times in the last 6 was. Every time I call I get a different excuse why they haven’t sent the confirmation letter to get it fixed, total run around. First they told me they sent it, a lie, all I’m getting is lies. I’ve lost everything in my freezer. Very, very poor service. If you’re going to make and sell then you should stand behind it. NEVER again will I buy an LG product and I’m telling everyone I know. Now they tell me it going to be at least another 7-10 days.

I have had an LG fridge for a few months and it has stopped cooling correctly, and the ice and water dispenser do not work. I have tried LG customer service 4 times and, on my last call, have asked to speak with a manager. They all say the same thing, promising a resolution, though nothing happens. The refrigerator is a nice design, works well, and is a known brand. The fridge is basic but it works like it is a higher end model. I have had it for several years and have had no problems so far. I have a standard refrigerator. I would like it to be higher-end with an ice maker, more storage options, more freezer space etc. If it were a smart fridge that would be an improvement too. But it met my expectations. When I went to purchase the fridge, it was the best deal for what I got compared to other brands. It was also recommended by the salesperson.

Bought an LG refrigerator for 4 years ago. 2 months ago our refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer. As we no longer had a warranty on it we used our American Home Shield warranty. They sent a technician out to diagnose that it was the compressor. The repairman stated there was 10 year warranty on the compressors because of problems that LG has had. Because of that he couldnt fix our refrigerator LG did not contract with them for warranty work after waiting a week for him to get there. American Home Shield then sent out Sears not to fix the problem but to diagnose it again. That was the end of week two. We then had to wait another week for the compressor to come in and for Sears to come and fix it.3 weeks without a refrigerator or freezer. Living out of A cooler. The 1st technician told us, Dont be surprised if something else goes out because your compressor has made your refrigerator work too hard as it was dying. Sears tech however denied this statement and said no. Once we fix the compressor no problem. Well its now 2 months later my fridge and freezer do not work again. Lost everything again. Took a week for American Home Shield to have Sears come out again for a recall on their original work and he is determined it is the motherboard that is bad and he cant tell if the compressor is bad because the motherboard is not working so well have to wait until the motherboard comes and he fixes it and then we might have to wait again for a new compressor. Once we fix it no problem. BS.Not happy with this LG product. I got it because of all the problems I had with my Frigidaire. Is there not a refrigerator company out there that is selling quality products. So now that Ive lost two freezer full of food two refrigerators fulls of food and living out of a ice chest for now for weeks and more to go Im not a happy camper with LG. Not to mention we go thru bags of ice at $4 a bag and have to put new bag in every other day. So at 4 weeks so far with both repairs LG has cost me $56.00 in ice and we dont even have it fixed yet.

I bought an LG Fridge Model LSC 24971ST in October 2012. It stopped working June 2017. I made many phone calls to Customer Care (or No Care) Centre on Telephone 1-888-542-2623 continuously for five weeks but nothing was done. Finally LG got back to me and told me whatever the problem is, they will have it fixed for a flat rate of $229. I paid them $229, hoping that the problem will be solved now. Few days later an LG worker came to check the fridge, only to tell me that the fridge cannot be fixed. I would have to buy another $4000 fridge from LG. It was hard for me to believe this fridge cannot be fixed, so I called somebody else to have the fridge checked, which is when I found out that the compressor has stopped working and just needs to be replaced.LG was trying to CHEAT me and make me buy another fridge from them. They wouldnt even return the $229 flat rate that I paid them to have the fridge fixed. After arguing with them for weeks, they finally agreed that they will have the compressor replaced at the FLAT RATE of $229 but the part is NOT available for the time being. If such a BIG company like LG fails to find its own part, why I must suffer...? Weeks passed and they could not even find their own part. Bottom line is, LG COMPANY TRIES TO CHEAT YOU. The fridge could easily be fixed by replacing the compressor (which was still under warranty), but LG wanted to CHEAT me into just buying another $4000 fridge from them. They gave me a very hard to time; for months I kept arguing with them. Never buying an LG product ever again!

Nightmare… It’s just over 5 years old. The warranty was as bad as the fridge.

After 12 months when 1 year free service expired the call center executive without listening to the issue just telling that I will be charged and when I started explained previous complain they started hanging up phone on me. Our just under 3 year old $2700 LG French Door fridge stopped cooling. This one was the type with only the door ice maker that has always sucked and only made enough ice for one large glass a day. LG sent out a tech for $275 (I had to pay in advance) that did nothing and said the coils were dirty and needed to be cleaned and left. I cleaned them and it still is not working. I also did the over the phone diagnostic with the India call center (customer disservice) which was completely useless. LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

The LG refrigerator I purchased in October 2017 failed to freeze or cool on August 8, 2020. I called Appliance Service Center USA, waited online for 20 min and asked for service. They offered ASAP, I said yes, they said the soonest would be August 18! ASCUSA said I could buy a countertop refrigerator or rent one and they would decide if they would pay for it! The tech arrived and looked at the unit for 5 min. and said the compressor failed. He said he does not know why he was sent because he didnt work on that repair. He asked for a new service date and said they would call me. New service date would be August 24! The unit was repaired with a new compressor but who knows how long this one will last. Two things here, dont purchase an LG refrigerator and if you make that mistake, plan on no repair service for weeks. Who needs a working refrigerator anyway!! What a disaster....

My home warranty company TotalProtect Home Warranty (Cross Country Home Services) came out to repair our washer. They discovered an LG Recall from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and refused to make repairs because it was under recall. So, LG was responsible for repairing it. The recall stated the washer becomes unbalanced and causes personal injury and property damage. Luckily my washer just broke. It has been 3 months and multiple LG repair companies later and LG has not repaired our washer. Every LG service company that we called or came out to make repairs claims they cant repair it, LG did not authorize repairs, or the recall did not cause the damage. LGs customer service (800-243-0000) promised they would make repairs and they gave me a CNM # and APM # that supposedly authorized the repairs. I even filed an ethics complaint with LGs company HQ. I heard nothing back. The recalled washer is product number WT5101HV. LG gives you the runaround and frustrates you so you give up.

We have a four-year-old LG Dishwasher (LDF6920ST) that caught fire at 2 am in the morning a few weeks ago. From the very first day I bought it we have had ice build up in the top drawer of the freezer. I called for about 2 or 3 weeks to the store I bought it from. I was told it was the humidity and not to worry. I kept calling back and finally they gave me the number of a repair man. He came a number of times and did what the LG people told him to. Every time he came he replaced another part. Nothing has worked yet. They said as long as the rest is working its just an inconvenience. My thought is for 3000.00 I shouldnt have to have an inconvenience. I have since given up getting anything done. I have the same kind of fridge (different brand) out in the garage and it is in humidity and have never had any problem with it or any other fridge I have owned. Will never buy that brand again. I have owned it for a little over a year now and I have never had one day without ice on my food and drawer.

A few months ago I purchased an LG dryer model DLE1101W with automatic sensors. However, every time I start a sensing cycle it stops after few minutes. I use mainly small loads. When I called the company they said it is because in small loads the sensor is not being able to detect and therefore shuts down the cycle. When I purchased the unit nowhere did it say that the sensing happens only when using big loads or else I would not have paid more for unit with sensing capability.

I have read through almost every comment on here and have to agree with how dissatisfied I am and what a disappointment these machines are. Class action suit please! I have the squeaky tub and mildew/musty smell I cant get rid of. Additionally, hot water is non-existent. It seems in my machine and I cant seem to select Sanitize no matter what I press. Oh, and bleach? I cant tell you how many loads of clothes have been ruined because the bleach does not fully wash out of the dispenser in one wash. It leaks into other loads afterwards.Seriously, a class-action suit needs to be started. How is it that a company / product has so many widespread complaints and concerns with mostly nothing being done about these problems and yet are still able to market their products without any consequences? Lastly, Sandy who has commented on this page is obviously affiliated with LG. I could go on and on with many valid points decimating her comments, but suffice it to say that a washing machine that you have to baby to keep running is a piece of garbage.

Bought a set of LG products and Never AGAIN!!! I bought them both and about six months later, the washer literally burst open... from the inside out. The top portion with the lid and button flew off the machine and came back down crooked. It was a top loader. The top of the drum was facing the back of the machine. They came and replaced which took a month. One year later the new machine just stopped working while the tub was full of water. We put that one aside, thank god we planned ahead, and bought a second-hand washer and dryer. We have been using the old one since. Not worth fixing the stupid thing, now the dryer has been acting up for a year... It runs for two seconds and stops but while it stops spinning its counting down. I called LG and they stated that it was due to the coldness of my basement... It is pointless to fix these POSs. Big costs, cheap parts and worthless customer service, we will never give this company one red cent!!!

The power button on the washer will not turn on, you have to unplug it then plug it back in after 2 minutes, it will then run one cycle. Called the 1-888 number for Canada helpline to run a diagnostic test with the phone tones using the washer. I honestly believe this is a trick to get you to call and have them try to sell you more warranty. They were no help whatsoever, the information on YouTube is much better and in the end, I ordered the part and repaired it myself for 1/4 the cost. There should have not been any costs for a 2-year old washing machine used by a family of 4! Dont BUY LG WASHERS.

I liked the finger proof texture. The body of the fridge had the silver style. Really looks good in my kitchen next to my other similar style appliances. The refrigerator section holds a lot more than the refrigerator that it replaced. But I disliked the drawer on the bottom. It seemed not to hold much and everything just ended up being piled on top of each other. It just wasnt as convenient as I thought it would be for my size family. So I started looking on reviews about other brands. LG has always had a good reputation on other products of that brand I own. Ive had some good luck with their brand but all in all I think I will be looking into other companies next time I need a refrigerator.

LG dishwasher inverter direct drive - If I did not have to pay to reinstall, I would toss this one and replace it. It sounded good that in the bottom rack the dish dividers folded down to arrange space for large items. Yes, they do -- every time I load, close, open, or almost when I breathe when using it. If I partially load (of course, I do) and close to await more future dishes, the dividers fall over and the plates and bowls tumble. So frustrating because I have to reload every time I GENTLY close the door (if I get to that point before they fall). I now work in very slow motion and hold my breath when using it. Lets capitalize VERY dissatisfied!

Updated on 12/25/2020: DO NOT BUY LG UNTIL YOU READ THIS. 2ND COMPLAINT. LG has not followed up on resolving issue with our LG refrigerator as Promised. They have not responded to emails and only way to contact is through Consumer Affairs. We used unit 53 days and broke down. LG says not repairable and have to Reorder a New unit 11/20/2020, with a delivery date 1/25/2021. Louis, webmaster for LG, assured within 10 business days it would be resolved. I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. LG should provide FREE 5 year ESP plan with units to Prove that LG has Trust and Confidence in their Products.

We remodeled our house a little over two years ago, and my wife bought new LG appliances for the kitchen including a dishwasher, electric cook top range, microwave and refrigerator. I like the fact that when you get water out of the refrigerator door, it comes out fast. When it went out, it took almost two weeks to get done, and that’s the only complaint I have. We’re retired and we can’t afford to go out every meal, so we lived out of coolers and one small hundred-dollar refrigerator for a month. When the repairman brought the compressor in, he informed us that he puts a lot of compressors into LGs. In fact, he finished up with us at 8:00 in the evening he was here, and he went on to do another one before he went home.

I bought an LG washing machine model WFT6500 at Courts (Mauritius) Ltd. in November 2009. Serial No. is 908.JWWZ00529. Never once washed clean and so wearily I almost never made use of it during the warranty period, thinking that it must be a machine with very low power and it is normal to wash dirty. However, after the warranty period, I contacted the seller who wanted to send someone to check but for a fee. I refused because they did not think it was a technical problem. And so I blamed myself and nursed my woes stupidly until last month when I realized that the problem comes from the rinse cycle which is not functioning properly. It only spins the clothes but does not throw the water away nor does it do another rinse. The rinse cycle lasts only a few minutes with no additional water coming in or going out until the spin cycle that finally for the first time during the wash and rinse cycle drains the water away, leaving residues of dust in the clothes.I contacted the dealer once more, insisted that it is a defect that has been there since the first wash but they want to repair for a fee. I find this unfair because the machine has never been up to expectations and in spite of being in my possession for four years, I must have used it a dozen times only and not at all for two years at a stretch during that period because of being away from home. I guess it could be a defective machine that has been sold to our Mauritian distributor with or without their knowledge.

We selected the LG LSXS26326S, side-by-side, stainless steel refrigerator for a number of reasons, including recommendations, interior room, water/ice dispenser, and cabinet size. The height specification for the CABINET is slightly more than 68, which would fit our space perfectly. However the genius, who designed this unit did not look at the height of cabinets in American kitchens. The CABINET fits our space, but the CORD comes out of the TOP of the unit, instead of the rear, adding another 1/4 inch to the dimension. An access panel also adds a small measurement to the height. I had to spend 2 hours to remove the kitchen cabinet, sand it down to allow for the cord and access panel to fit into the space. If you have limited height restrictions make sure you measure EXACTLY, to ensure that the ENTIRE unit will fit. Unless you are handy with removing kitchen cabinets, using a sander, and reinstalling the cabinet, you will need to hire a handyman or carpenter to make adjustments to your kitchen.

My LG refrigerator broke down over a week ago after just 18 months. I paid over $3,500 for it. I have been trying to have my case reviewed by LG for over a week now but they keep rejecting my proof of purchase even though on top of the original receipt and invoice, the Home Depot store where I purchased it from, issued an official proof of purchase letter. I spent over $7,200 on all LG appliances and I am not happy with any of them. The display on the stove broke down in the first week I had it. The washer keeps stalling when I run certain programs. The dryer routinely stops with an error message that the duct is blocked (which is bogus, we checked it on many occasions and there is no obstruction) and the dishwasher does not completely dry the dishes even in extra dry mode. I have never before written a negative review but this company does not deserve to be in business. They do not stand by their product and use the annoying and false slogan Life is Good. Good for them maybe. Not for the customer. Their customer service is a nightmare. All calls are answered by representatives who serve as a layer of protection so you cannot actually get through to anyone who is a decision maker. If you are considering a purchase of an appliance, please stay away from the LG brand!!! Worst ever. I owned a Samsung fridge before and it worked like a dream and was nicely designed. I kick myself in the rear end for not sticking with my gut when I made the decision to purchase the LG junk brand.

Well LG you have a lot on your plate right now and thousands of consumers without refrigerators due to your faulty compressor problems. Mine has been out since last Wednesday and LG cannot find anyone to service their product even their LG technicians aren’t available. Living out of 3 coolers and had to buy a box freezer. Now on my way to buy a used refrigerator because not knowing how long this issue is going to take! Was reassured that I would be reimbursed for buying the box freezer, food spoilage and old refrigerator. My case was sent to regional manager and being review while being told I’d be called back in 3 to 5 business days with a resolution to replace or give me my money back if I pass the review and if they cannot find anyone to come out and fix it. I don’t want to ever own another LG product let alone have them come out and replace the compressor with the same faulty issues to have it break down again in which it would. I also have a 1,000 dollar LG dishwasher and 6 months ago the top digital touch board went out! 1 year later! They replaced that and praying it doesn’t go out again. So now playing the waiting game. Don’t buy LG. Appliances will never be made the same way that they were years ago in the 70’s and 80’s to last a lifetime. I have reviewed just about every brand out there and all I find is garbage reviews!! What the hell can you buy that’s reliable anymore!

I was out of country for business when my wife tells me our 5 year old LG refrigerator stopped working. I had her call LG customer service department (India). They provided her with an authorized LG Service Center 50 miles from our house. The cost for the service center to make the service call to my home was $215 which included 1 hour of labor that would be applied to the service call and anything left over applied to the repair. It took the service center 1 week to make the service call. At 5 years my refrigerator has only a 7 year warranty on the compressor with no labor covered. The service call by the service center determined the compressor and motherboard were bad. The repairman only assessed the call for 15 minutes leaving 45 minutes toward repair. I was also told that I would have to get the parts from LG. Contacted LG for the parts and they said the service center would have to order the parts.I went back and forth for about a week between the service center and LG. Got an LG Case Number that was offered after about the 15th call to LG. I asked for a US based LG customer service rep and was told that does not exist. Today LG offered to send the Service Center a Part Authorization # so that they could order the parts. I am going on 3 weeks without a refrigerator functioning in my home. I was told the Part Authorization # will take at least 3 days. The service center says once they have the Part Authorization # it will take about a week to get the part. Then another week to come out for the service repair call. If you are thinking of purchasing an LG product you are out of your freakn mind.

Ive now had the 2,800.00 for 5 years. Its always something. The first refrigerator they delivered had to be replaced in 2 days because it would not cool down or freeze. Then the lights in the refrigerator had to be replaced. Now corrosion in the control panel on front of door. The corrosion has now gone up so far you cannot turn the alarm off. Ive called LG several times and if I dont mind paying for a service call they will send someone out to look at it. Wish I had kept my old refrigerator I gave away. Its still working really well. No more LG Appliances for me.

LG french door refrigerator - On 3/15/07, I purchased an LG french door refrigerator model #LFD22B60ST. This morning, 2/21/12, I awoke to the smell of burning plastic coming from the kitchen. When I opened the refrigerator door, I was met with smoke and a heavy burnt plastic odor. The light assembly and cover had melted and fallen on the top shelf. Both light sockets were burnt dark brown. The inside shell under the light housing is literally melted through. The control temperature read 81 degrees. I called LG and they were too eager to take care of it at no charge to me. That alone made me suspicious of their knowledge of this problem, but after reading eleven other identical complaints listed here, LG must have known about this product failure and not one of us was ever notified. This refrigerator is a fire hazard!

LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. I leave the door and soap compartment open between uses. What a waste of money - horrible product. DO NOT BUY LG. I will replace this POS as soon as I can afford.

We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depo
We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depot store. We decided to upgrade our kitchen and splurge a little on a reputable, high end brand fridge - LG. After 6 months of owning this fridge, we have had nothing but issues. We have had it repaired at least 6 times. The main issues being: (1) it not staying cool/cold, making it inoperable and spoiling all of our food contents; (2) water leakage; and (3) ice not working. The first item has been the most common, the most frustrating and the most costly to us. We just recently went food shopping and the very next day, our fridge decided to stop being cold. All food is spoiling again. You could imagine the money that is lost and the predicament it puts our family of six children in. We are not picky people. If its a simple fix, we would gladly take care of it ourselves as to not burden anyone else. The repair service keeps fixing the same things and replacing similar/same parts. I must say I would not recommend an LG product to anyone and I would never purchase an LG ever again. They are pieces of junk, in our opinion. Another complaint about how cheaply made these things are, the side shelves and the middle sliding shelves keep falling off as they are poorly made and poorly designed. A total piece of junk. Very disappointed in this product. Very deceiving as it looks great sitting there in the store all nice and shiny, but internally its crap. To be perfectly honest, next time were just going to go with an inexpensive brand and if we get 3 years out of it before it breaks down, great, then well toss it. But I wont feel so bad because I wont be splurging money like I did on an overpriced piece of junk like LG.

I purchased a bottom freezer from Home Depot, model # LFX25971SB/1. I purchased it in 2008, replaced 3 ice makers - 1 every year. The latest one works when it feels like it. Within the first year, we were contacted by LG and was advised that they had to replace the computer. We found out that the energy rating was faulty. The company was ordered to replace computers and we would receive checks every year at approximately $14 based on the extra energy usage, but the check received was only $7.The unit runs very hot and the technician had no answer as to why. Under the bottom freezer drawer, we constantly have water that leaks because something in the unit is not evaporating water. We get thick layers of ice under the drawer which causes the drawer to not open and close properly. The technician doesnt know what is causing the evaporator not to work properly. The vegetable and cold cut drawers freeze foods all the time, and now we dont put anything in those drawers. The technician still has no answer for us. Home Depot gave us a tool to use but the handles on the doors and the freezer drawers kept falling off. I just spoke with LG and they said that we should get a new ice maker. He told me to get a new service company from a warranty company. We paid over $2000 for this piece of junk. I would never buy another LG product again.

LG Truebalance Washing Machine - This washer came with our home when we bought it. I can see why the previous owners left it. This is truly the worst washing machine I have ever used. It never finishes a load without being unbalanced. I cannot wait to get rid of it and so glad I didnt buy this machine!

We bought an LG refrigerator (model #795LMX2598) 2 years ago and the freezer door is already leaking air. The rubber seal on the freezer door is warped already and cool air is leaking out. We were told parts wont come for at least 2 more weeks. In the meantime, we have a freezer that cant maintain temperature and just in time for Thanksgiving! We were told that it may be hard to find parts for LG refrigerators. We may be looking elsewhere for fridge in the future.

Wave top load washer - When I first got the washing machine it bounced all
Wave top load washer - When I first got the washing machine it bounced all over the place so the LG tech said it needed a level platform. Got it a level platform then the recall came since then. Every load gives a UE code and keeps putting water in and trying to run through so this is not efficient at all. Its using more water than the old machines. The bleach holder is rusting out but cant be fixed because LG says thats cosmetic. I believe thats poor quality when so many people have this problem almost 2000 for washer and dryer and I would truly love to get my old machines back, ugly, mismatched, but worked much better and my clothes didnt stink.

We purchased an top of the line all stainless steel LG Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in 2009 and from day 1 had nothing but trouble with both of them. The washer was constantly out of balance even though the washer had the true balance system, then the computer board went bad, then the door switch and drain pump quit. The dryer has never dried correctly, it always takes about double the normal time to thoroughly dry. It has cost me over $500.00 to keep them running for less than 5 years, LG should be in the junk business as they excel at it.

This product I paid $854.99 plus taxes and is upsetting to know this washer is done forever. I purchased on May 3, 2012 at Best Buy. I contact Best Buy they cant do anything about it because I dont have the protection plan. Really for a new washer, my grandmas washer is 15 years old and works fine. My husband contact LG they cant do anything about it because the warranty expired within one year of the date of purchase. So we contact Sears for $200. They came over to do the diagnostic so basically the top computer is outdated, running on the wrong setting, needs to be updated and we need to buy the top setting which is $500.00 plus labor work!!! So if we do this means we basically expending $800.00 if you do the math. DONT BUY LG.
