Called Lowes, New Castle, Pa where we purchased a defective LG washing machine. Rust spots all over our clothing. We were told it was a stainless steel tub and would not cause rust. They told us it was LGs problem. LG does not call you back when you leave messages. After 4 long months: They do not answer their phones. Customer service, you cannot understand them. Not sure what country you are being connected to. They are not taking responsibility for the defective washing machine and Lowes is not standing behind their customer. I will never purchase from Lowes or LG ever again. Horrible!!!

I gave it 18 months of aggravation washing... I do not see how bumping the clothes around in limited water will get my clothes clean. I use the extra rinse button and my clothes still smell of BO, stains are still there. I am tired of ranting about the washer EVERY TIME I use it... I do not get how they think clothes will come clean with this system. I HATE IT. I HATE IT.

I purchase a top load washer (model # WT1101CW) from Frys electronic June 7, 2013. A year and 5 months later the main board failed. I contacted LG customer service rep to see if a warranty really does exist. To my surprise the panel only has a year warranty according to one rep (Anna) but another rep from parts (Mark) stated when, called by the technician, that the panel has 2 years warranty. I contacted LG rep to speak to the supervisor to clarify the issue but was given a run around.

I purchased the LG washer a year ago. I have been dissatisfied since day one. Tried every cycle, but the clothes are all tangled up at the end of every cycle. You try to take the clothes apart and end up with a left arm of a shirt twice the length of the other. Its awful, the clothes come out all stretched out from trying to pull them apart. I loved my old FRONT load washer. All clothes were washed properly. With this top load, not all clothes get a good wash. Never again top load. No use calling LG. They will tell me: Too bad sucker. We got you for 2K.

The area around and under the bleach dispenser has rusted causing rust to fall into our clothing. We purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot and they and LG both indicated that this would not be covered and said that it is a cosmetic issue. We dont like our clothing getting rusty! DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER OR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT! This warranty (5 yrs.) is deceptive and Home Depot lied to us.

I bought an LG washer/Dryer July this year (2015). The water pump sprang a leak. Went online and submitted for repair. Got a local appliance place to fix it. Talked to rep from local shop, said they couldnt get LG parts to answer or return call for 2 days. At this point I havent had a washing machine for 6 days. I called LG rep to contact local rep and get this taken care of. If LG does get it shipped by tomorrow, Friday fall on a holiday. Local dealer wont get the part until next Monday the 4th of Jan. 2016. This will be going on 2 weeks without a washer. This is unreasonable to me. I went with an LG product because of the Quality and support that I havent received as of yet. I would hope that a senior representative would read this. Unsatisfied Customer!

I purchased a top loader washer in August 2012. I washed a couple loads of clothes and after drying them, they stink still. I decided to read the manual to see if I was doing something wrong. No, I sure was not. I tried the extra rinse cycle, etc. Still stinky clothes. I called Conns; they say I have to pay a 20% restocking fee. What! Thats crazy. The machine does not work good so thats a manufacture defect, not a customer issue. Anyway, they decided to send someone to look at it. The guy said, It sounds like youre doing everything right. Nothing wrong. I said, If clothes still stink, something is wrong. He said its the government because theyre trying to save the earth by using less water. Wow, so our clothes have to stink because we have a limit on water to use. This is real crazy to me. What is this world coming to take our money and dont care what we get in return? Pretty soon, we wont be a free country anymore. The government will be running everything.

My LG washing machine broke down requiring a new part. The repairman advised me the part was no longer available. I contacted LG and they informed me that manufacture of parts are discontinued after 7 to 10 years. Now I am in a situation requiring me to purchase a new washer as the basic part costing about $100 is not available. I also was informed by LG this is the case not just for washers but for LG major appliances. So if one buys a LG appliance and breakage occurs after 7 to 10 years, that appliance is not fixable and must be replaced. I find that unacceptable for a major appliance and will not be buying LG in the future.

Using a LG washing machine is like having a full time job. It take 90 minutes on a good day to do a what they call a 57 minute wash cycle. I have spent as may as 4 hours trying to do a load of towels, finally had to remove half the load and start again. Machine has flooded my basement four times because the water doesnt shut off when done. You have to shut the water off during the spin cycle. During the spin cycle you have to stop and level the load several times. I would beat my clothes on a rock before I buy another LG washing machine.

We purchased this washing machine over a 1-1/2 ago for nearly $1,000. It is so poorly designed that I cannot put more than 3 towels in at a time or it goes off balance. Numerous tech visits, to no avail. Do not purchase one of these machines!

We purchased our LG WT7200C washing machine in June of this year, 2018 and it has been a HUGE disappointment. Without an agitator the clothes do NOT come clean. Just tried washing a King Size mattress cover two times in a row and the top half of it never got touched by any of the soapy water. When washing soiled clothing from yard work they do NOT come clean no matter what cycle is selected. This washer is a MAJOR disappointment.

We purchased a new LG Washer & Dryer 05-06-2013. The washer has been banging very loudly while the water adjustment turns on & off during its cycle. Also we have noticed a strong mildew smell in the washer as well. I have had to replace the hot & cold water valves due to this erratic banging of our plumbing pipes. We had contacted the LG contact people & they have not been cooperative/helpful. They gave me names & numbers of repair services that do not service our area. Called them the next week & was told a service would be contacting me within 3 days. However, no one had called us & they gave me conflicting info once again. We cannot afford to pay for any more plumbing problems due to this still erratic washer banging problem. Our other unit we had worked the same way. This unit does & it never gave us this disturbing problem. Sincerely!!!!!

I purchased a new LG WaveForce washing machine at a Best Buy. It has never worked right since purchased. I called Best Buy, they told me to contact LG. I have been contacting them for over a year. They want a service person to come over and over to replace the brain of it. This changes nothing when it is built to work that way. Its not broken, it just doesnt function right from the start. Ive sent pictures of the loads that come out in big knots! The machine is high efficiency so it should be economical, but when it goes UE all the time, you can never leave it alone to do a load. It will keep draining and filling up to try to even itself. Its very wasteful of water! This is not a floor leveling problem at all. Its the machines problem. Some loads just all float to the top and never get pulled down through the water, which leaves spots on clothing and not overall good cleaning. Its just a lemon! I want my money back! Neither place will give it to me. I paid cash, I have receipt. I took pics of how my loads come out, but keep getting the runaround. All I want is my money back! Ive been married for 32 years and this is my third washer, so I do not abuse them. There is just no help coming anywhere for me! No company should get by with this kind of customer treatment.

W2277 tromm washer - Pay a premium price for an appliance, then buy an extended warranty to cover the problems in the first couple of years (and there were several), then the whole thing needs to be replaced just before year 5. Now you can go shopping again and repeat the whole process over again. Wash-rinse-repeat. Tub bearing, tub, carrier... I can buy new for the repair cost. Got to spend $150 for the bad news. And I have to have the carcass hauled off.

This very expensive washing machine will be the first and last appliance I ever purchase. It almost never completes a load of laundry without stopping at least one time and flashing UE, refilling the tub and starting over. It is not like I load the washer with towels on one side and socks on the other, I am not a moron. No matter how hard I try or how big or small the load, I can count on this pile of crap to make what should be an easy task a frustrating one. Dont waste your hard earned money on this or any other LG appliance. If you dont believe me google it.

We purchased an LG washer. I love the fact that without the middle paddle you can wash large items like king size spreads and comforters and all the clothes actually are treated more gently. I do not like buying new if the old is still working. Being able to get parts and having really good people who can and will work to keep the old model going. Regular repairs is a nightmare. Been there and done that, days without your appliance and you have to wash most days to keep the family in clean clothes and towels etc. Also low quality construction, which usually means noise pollution and the appliance walking all over the floor or pulling loose from the connections and the room being flooded. This LG washer that I bought was the same price as for the Maytag that I had purchased 20 years before. It is high quality construction, stays where it is supposed to when it spins. Large size drum that washes very small loads with much less soap and water, or very large items like winter coats, king size bedding, comforters, etc. One thing I do not like is that everything rinses in cold water no matter which setting you use, and I like to be able to decide what temperature I want for the wash cycle and the temperature I want for the rinse. But all in all, that is the only thing I do not like about these computer controlled washers.

I have posted here before about the smell from my LG Tromm washer. I have been reading other posts regarding leaving the door open and peeling paint. I have always left the door of my washer open and, as Ive posted before, still get that awful smell. We are at the point now of needing to replace the washing machine after 3 years because our clothes smell so bad. We have tried all the front-loading washing machine cleaners we can find and have used bleach in the tub clean as per the owners manual. One of the worst smelling items is our wonderful towels. After showering, we have to remember not to breathe deeply while drying our faces! And I just noticed the paint is peeling off the front of the machine, near one of the “seams”. It is almost like the way wet latex paint will just wipe off if. It is painted over an oil-based paint. What can we do about this? I really cant afford to buy another washing machine already.

After reading on the energy savings we bought an LG HE front loader in 2010. Well, after reading my booklet and other information, I understood that have to keep the door open to not have odors in the washer. We have terrible build-up of mold inside the rubber gasket. I am allergic to mold. I have to get in there and clean with bleach but still comes back. I will say it cleans my clothes. You only need a tablespoon of detergent. But my problem now is the terrible LOUD noise it makes every time it empties the water out. Goes off-balance all the time with small loads. CANNOT wash a small throw rug. Its IMPOSSIBLE to find a reputable repairman. My mom bought the same washer 2011 and now her motor went after others issues with leaking. Shes going out and buying another name brand. I would never buy another LG appliance again.

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor.For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

LG Top Load Washer Model WT5070CW Junk! I cant believe with all the complaints listed here for all the same problems, a class action lawsuit cant be generated. I am now part of this long list of dissatisfied customers. Rust around the bleach dispenser, ruining clothes (this is supposed to be acceptable?). Replaced a plastic coupler for $225 two weeks ago (hmmm... There are only two LG tech companies within a 50 mile radius of our home). Now, another problem, I am told my software has to be updated with a new main board and I need a new clutch. By the time Im finished, I can purchase a new (American made) machine. We are empty nesters, have very little laundry and the machine is 3 years old. It is a piece of crap. I would never recommend purchasing from this company. Terrible out-of-the country customer service offering very little help - not to mention a horrific language barrier. It sounds like they read a script and say the same things over and over offering no resolution. In fact, Ive called twice in one night and have gotten different answers from the CSRs. Buyer Beware!!!

So far haven’t had any problems with my LG washing machine. It is easy to operate and cleans the clothes perfectly. You can choose your own cycle but typically I usually just have normal loads unless I am doing a towel or blanket wash in which I choose one of the heavier load settings. I love that I can also add an extra rinse or 2 to any load as well.

LG Model WT5101HW - Had to replace the agitator in my 2 year old top loader washing machine. A few months ago there was a software update to correct unbalanced loads. Now the screw holding the agitator in place came undone. (It is held in place with a substantial LOCK washer). The agitator came loose and the plastic gear which drives it became stripped. The result was that it came completely unattached from the drive gear. The LG service man said he had never seen that happen before. I paid $189.75 for the part and repair. As the service man was leaving, I checked the mail and discovered a recall letter from LG concerning my washing machine due to excessive vibrations. Guess I know how the agitator screw became loose now! Called LG and after 1 hour of waiting and answering questions, they said they will have to get back to me about whether I will be reimbursed for the repair. I will keep you posted on developments!

I love my LG washing machine. Works well. BUT it is the very first washing machine I have ever had that rusted where the soap, fabric softner and bleach is dispensed. I contacted LG and they never returned my call or contacted me in any way. At this rate my machine will rust out before anything else goes wrong.

I bought this machine because it was oversized to be able to fit in large loads of clothes and bedding. Every year I have had it, it has progressively had more problems than the last. The last three visits were about the water coming out of the drum and they did adjustments. First they told me I could use the top speed to get water out. The next breakdown they readjusted it and said I could not wash waterproof clothing or water resistant clothing and that it would break the machine. WTF? I bought it to wash my clothes not just some of my clothes, however I followed their advice washing winter coats and gloves and bedding protection outside my house. Now its broken again same issue. I had a regular size load of jeans in it. STUPID machine!!!! Worse yet is the customer service - they dont understand English and they will disconnect you multiple times and one call in will take two hours out of your life!!! DO NOT BUY!!

We are in our 8th year of ownership of an LG model DLG7188WM and it has stopped working for the 8th time. We had 3 repairs in the first 2 years and had no luck getting LG to replace the unit as the problem was always the same, a defective drum and back panel. This happened 4 more times. Luckily the placed where we purchased offered us a free extended warranty due to all the issues. Now the unit has seized and will probably need replacing. Our LG Washer which was bought as a matching set has worked but suffers from moldy smells even though we leave the door open and routinely clean it as recommended.

We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG Top Load washer WT4870CW. It boasted inverter driven technology and was not supposed to go out of balance and could handle larger loads. From the very beginning, it took at least 2 - 3 hours to complete one load of laundry. The machine would go out of balance almost every time it tried to extract. We were cautious about washing like-weight items in an attempt to complete a load with less than five trips downstairs. Now, the washer wont even drain. We ordered a new drain pump and replaced it, but we still get the OE error every time it tries to drain and extract. The drain hose has been checked for kinks and there are none and there is nothing blocking the drain pump or hose.This is extremely frustrating! We spent far more money for this washer than others would have cost. Unless there is a recall or LG shares a suggested fix with everyone, I guess its time to throw the $800 machine away and buy something new. It most certainly wont be LG. I will never own another LG product again! I hope others learn from my mistake.

WT7200CW - Cold Water Valve broke, still not fixed and it has been 2-1/2 months. LG forgot to send order to Appliance Company to fix. Now, company cant get part, so we are waiting on that. We are retired and do 1 load every 8 days, and it still broke after 2 months. LG customer service very inefficient and I talked with 4 to 5 different people to try and just get the warranty to fix machine. Got 2nd date for repair and Appliance Company actually received the order from LG to fix. The clerk didnt tell repairman that it was cold water valve, so he didnt come out because have to order it. That was August 24th, and it is September 14th, still waiting on part to come in.This is 3rd LG product to purchase in 9 months, and it will be the last. Customer service didnt care at all that this broke so soon and that they didnt send the order for the first fix. Bought this machine because its supposed to not get unbalanced, because of a tube around the tub. Wrong, it still does it. Our Maytag was as good, and it was 7 years old. Stay away from LG products. They do not care how their products perform.

Ive been married to my wife for 43 years and suddenly after buying the LG washing machine our clothes come out of the wash dirty. This has never happened before. LG is absolutely no help with the problem. Do not buy one of their washers, they are worthless. I have to rinse some of my clothes out by hand when they come out of the machine. Do not buy their products, expensive worthless pieces of equipment.

I have had several LG washing machines and have always like them. They are reliable, last forever and can handle many types of loads in it, from heavy items, bedding or delicate. The only issue I have with mine now is sometimes it cannot balance itself. I then have to do it myself.

This is my second purchase of new top loader, my previous one started developing multiple cracks on the glass lid, purchased a new lid only then this lid started to crack also. I broke down and got a new top loader different company and now this lid is cracked. Purchased a warranty and was told that this cosmetic and not covered. Ive done a little research online and understand that this is a design flaw and obviously with many models out there. Ive tried to contact LG but sending an email doesnt get submitted, I will try calling but am not expecting any positive results. My question is how can I avoid cracked lids?

About 75% of the loads will experience an out of balance error. The washer will attempt to recover by entirely filling with water, agitating and attempt to re-spin. Doesnt work. Even after re-positioning the load, rarely will it complete the cycle. We generally end up removing about half the load and try to spin in batches. We have to babysit the machine to prevent it from using more and more water. We will never buy another LG product and do our best to dissuade others from making the same mistake we did. The one star rating we had to give is more than this machine deserves.

Bought an LG WT5070CW several years ago because of the extra large capacity. My old LG front loader died after 10+ years and since we had a good experience with their washers we went with another. That was the biggest mistake ever! We have a very large family and laundry can get behind fast. It takes a half a day sometimes to wash 1 load of laundry due to the UE code and our inability to get it to balance. Im way behind now and have had to resort going to the laundromat. After thinking about it, with the money we spent at the laundromat, I could have bought a better washer. If I could give it no stars I would. Never again and after reading some of the other reviews I may never buy another LG product. There is obviously no reason to contact the company either after reading reviews though I have sent an email to complain about this washer. The only thing it is good for is scrap metal.

It will rarely complete a load without becoming off balance. It cannot acknowledge a small load so forget washing your special loads until youve saved up a years worth. Customer service is not helpful and will make you feel like you are the only one experiencing these problems. They send you incentives to positively review the product then make it impossible to update your review negatively. This machine will make you cry from frustration. I can honestly say that I will not buy another LG product because of this experience. My husband says to sell it on Craigslist and get something else. I cant do that to another innocent victim. Giving away a $1000 washer with an honest disclaimer about its short comings is the only thing my conscience will allow. We need a support group for owners of this product.

LG washer drum wont turn. Called number in the user guide. Customer service gave me a number to call for repair. Turns out they are too far to service me. Logged in to LG website and called number for washing machines. It was a Sears number that services LG. I advised the washer was 3 years old and out of warranty, but the drum motor was warrantied for 10 years. She said they could not honor the warranty since I did not buy it at Sears. She said I should go back to the store where I bought it, but the store cant do anything past warranty. Talk about a complete run around. All local appliance repair centers service all brands except LG and Samsung. Guess I am screwed.

I have the same experience with my machine. Just after 1 yr, the washer will spin & refill for hours repeating the same cycles. The machine starts at 57 min. wash 9 normal load, cottons) but after an hour is still spinning, draining & refilling. The first time I noticed this, it was spinning for over 3 hrs. until I stopped it. Not only that, the clothes come out about as dirty as they went in. The machine is a huge disappointment.

LG Lifes Good? LG - Laundrys Grubby - Just like everyone else, I am incredibly frustrated with my top-loading LG WT4801CW clothes washer (purchased from Home Depot). I spend more time and money redoing many loads of clothes because they just do not get clean and sometimes a streak of dirt is left on the clothes, so back to rewashing the same small load of clothes again and again. (There goes the water economy function of the washer down the drain). And my washer is also starting to smell (great). Based on everyones reviews, the machine should be breaking soon and at that point, I will give it the boot out of my laundry room.

After several months of intermittent stopping and then working, and several visits by various repair people, Sears finally eliminated the problem by replacing the electronic board (at a cost of $35 plus labor). The washer has been working perfectly for 6 months. I wished that someone could have told me this when I was experiencing the problem.

LG steam washer model# wm3470hva product # 204kwlr8c016 - I have nothing but problems with this washer causing small holes in shirts & varying materials. I even wash in a garment bag to no avail. I have lost several hundred $$$s to buy new clothing. I just out a Chicago Cubs tee, washed in cold water in a mesh bag & came out full of tiny holes. There is no way you should have to pay an exorbitant price for a product that does not work & costs a fortune in clothes replacement.

Our LG Front Loading washing machine has a massive problem with black mold in the rubber door gasket. It seems to be a widespread problem with this product. If I had known this beforehand, I would not have bought this washer. I would like my money back so I can buy a replacement that is well made and works.

We have a 7-year old LG front load washer. An authorized repairman has been to our home three times to repair the unit. He has talked to LG tech engineers three or four times and they have sent the new parts three times to repair the unit. However, it still prompted an error message. They now tell us that it is all they can do for us. They offered us $74 for the trouble. I told them I am willing to pay for the repair cost just to fix it. They have manufactured these unit with manufacturing problems and they are not standing behind their product. If it is not repairable due to an engineering error, I should be entitled to a discounted cost for purchasing a new unit.

Two months ago the washer filled up and would not spin or drain. I had to have one of the kids wring the water out of the clothes pc by pc. I contacted a friend that did appliance repairs and asked for some help. He wasnt able to arrive for a week, after which time it was discovered it was the drum of the washer. I contacted LG and they said not to worry that it would be covered as a lifetime coverage. Great! Next problem I bought this off of co-worker and his partner that they had it for about a year prior but was going into a home foreclosure and sold it to me. I didnt ask for the receipt at that time not thinking it was an issues as they bought it at our local Home Depot just around the corner from us both. So as I am speaking with the LG Rep on the phone, she takes my info and then says okay I have everything I need, now we just need your tech to call in the repair call so it can be further processed. I explained the whole story as I did not have receipt and that it was never called in as I was the owner. She said thats okay, not to worry, that wouldnt be an issue. My friend calls in the problem to them, they tell him okay; its covered but all they need is a proof of purchase. Not so easy, the co-workers partner had passed a year ago and there was no remembering what CC was used to purchase or what phone number so Home depot has no way to track it. Needless to say months later, still no washer and now since I am on a fix budget as a single mom, I now have to use a laundry mat to do our laundry, very hard after many years. Its the freaking drum that is cover and I can show them exactly which store the Serial Numbered Washer was purchased from but that is not good enough after one rep said it wasnt a problem. I have told my friends and family, not to waste their time with LG Products as they too will run into POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Nothing but a run around and ** just to get out of the lifetime coverage. Avoid LG if you want better quality. Go with Maytag, I had one for over 10 + years!!!!

I have two products of LG, first is Semi Automatic Washing Machine and second is LG Window AC, both are only 2 years old and they are not working properly. Earlier I had Whirlpool washing machine and it was too good, I never had any bad experience with that but LG is just opposite. I had purchased my Window AC in 2012 and last year only the gas was finished, I dont know how and why. Overall my experience with LG is very bad and I am not going to buy any product of LG in future. Also I never recommend LG to anybody. Just be careful of LG.

For four years I operated my LG Top-Loading Washer, Model #WT4801CW, using only HE detergent, managing the size of loads, etc. It worked well. However, over the years the bleach dispenser clogged, a two-inch crack developed in the top of the washers casing, and then in mid-cycle, the wash plate and cap popped off - bouncing around inside of the barrel and failing to agitate. Of course, LG offered the extended coverage (using another company, I later found). I could either spend close to $300 and receive two months of coverage or for almost double that amount, receive a full years coverage. I elected to buy the two months policy.After about a week, a tech from a local repair company came out, evaluated my machine, and sent them a report, including pictures of the damage. This seemed correct and the tech was personable. However, after another week, I called to find the status of my repair. They told me that I had to call LG. Of course, after extended conversations with a number of customer service reps, I was finally passed to LGs sub-contractor who actually administers this coverage. They, based upon the report of the visiting tech, determined that I had abused my LG Top-Loading Washing Machine and they had cancelled my policy. How, I asked, did they determine that I was as fault and abusive for the wash plate and cap popping off and bouncing around in the machine in mid-cycle?In short, nothing that I could say made any difference. They had made a partial refund of my coverage amount, and therefore the case was closed. So here I sit, fuming that there is nothing that I can do to refute this action and LG Customer Service refuses to take any action either because the coverage is with their sub-contractor. Im out $100, now branded as a WASHING MACHINE ABUSER, and no closer to a repaired machine than before. I highly recommend that you refuse any extended coverage based upon my experience. Otherwise, I TOLD YOU SO. Let the buyer be aware.

Wow! So glad I read these other complaints. I thought I was doing something terribly wrong to have my just washed clothing smell so foul. Bad product. We should get our money back, but it doesnt sound like we will. We, the consumer, who purchased this product have been pretty much robbed of our dollars. They do not back their product. We lose. It makes me very angry since we work so hard for our money.

LG WM2301 HW front load washer - Sometimes when washing cloths, mostly sheets and even light loads, the cloths are severely stained with what looks like mud. The tub has a residue of dirt also. This does not happen every time. I even drain the water from the tub like the manual suggests.

Ive had numerous problems with my LG Washer TROMM WM2688. There is bellows hose underneath the tub that gets a hole in it and leaks every few months. It takes about an hour and a half to fix it. I’m on my 5th bellows hose now. It just went out again. Ive also had the water fill valve get stuck on and stay on. I had to replace it. It also has a problem with draining the water from the tub. I get an error saying water is not draining. You hit restart from the pause and it will continue. It could be the pump out, the sensor out, or the control board out. Not sure yet. If I couldn’t work on it myself, I would have spent enough on service to buy a new one. It wouldn’t be an LG. I’ll buy no LG products.

Have had to buy a dozen or so new bath towels because the washer has been ripping up the old ones resulting in a shelf full of old rags. Am now going through the new batch of bath towels that are also being ripped up. I am presently in the process of accumulating another shelf full of premium rags... Thanks LG...

Black mold in door gasket cannot wipe clean - Only have had it 1 yr. No matter how many times we clean, wipe or leave door open we have mold and mildew with sludge sometimes. Cant get entirely inside the rubber to wipe out. My toddler and teen gets fevers off and on for no reason. Not happy with my LG front load that cost a arm and leg.

Purchased washer less than 2 yrs ago. Direct drive motor busted and LG has NO IDEA when can get motor to fix the machine. THEY DONT HAVE THE PART, NO IDEA WHEN WILL HAVE IT. Guess I wasted my 800.00 on a piece LG junk. Absolutely the last LG purchase ever.

LG HE Top Loader is the worst purchase I have ever made! I have read the reviews here and thank goodness, this washer has never caused any damage to our home. But it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to do laundry with this thing. We purchased this in February 2015 and while I cant find the model number right now, it is a top loader, 4.9 cu. ft. bought at Lowes. From the moment we bought it, we quickly discovered it is insanely touchy about keeping in balance - the first couple of months, almost every load I did got off balance and caused the machine to make horrible noises, bumping and jumping around until I got the OB error and it would just stop. After talking with numerous people, I learned it is best to fill the washer completely with clothes and this eliminates the problem most of the time. Well, I dont know about you but in a 2 person household, it is almost impossible to completely fill this machine, every time I use it. For instance, I am trying to wash a load of towels right now - every bath towel that we own, exactly according to the machine instructions and it keeps getting off balance because the towels are too heavy from water and bang around in the machine. I NEVER had to even think about this with my standard machine and now it feels like every time I do laundry, its practically a physics lesson to think about the proper mix of clothes to get the right weight to finish a cycle. It should NOT be this difficult and you cant tell me LG doesnt know this. I dont know if any other brands have this issue but for the amount of money we spent, these clothes should practically wash themselves. Sometimes, advanced technology is NOT better, only more chances for things to go wrong.

This washer is horrible, I hate it. Just like everyone states, I cant run a load of laundry without it constantly adding more water because its uneven. Hate it, will never buy LG again. I think we should be given our money back. 3 years I have dealt with machine. Refund would be nice.

After reading numerous positive consumer reports over a year ago, we bought a front loader LG washing machine. I believe the reviews were all a hoax as this washing machine is garbage. As many other reviews state, the clothes come out smelly and not cleaned. It takes 3 hours to do a load of laundry as I have to keep re-doing the cycle and adding extra rinses to get the suds out - and I use the smallest amount possible of the detergent. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.

LG Top Loader WT1001CW. DO NOT - DO NOT- DO NOT- BUY this washing machine. I agree totally with all the other reviews. It does not fill with water enough to even cover the clothes. There is virtually no agitation to get the clothes clean. Clothes usually remain in the same position in tub during the entire wash process and dry spots remain on clothes.. they didnt even get wet. I have had to rewash loads again just to try to get them clean but still they dont come out clean at all. Spin cycle is crazy and clothes just lay on top. This is the WORST machine ever made. I dont know how they get a good rating. Someone stacked the deck to trick consumers into buying this machine. I have had this machine for about 6 months and wish I could return it. Do not buy LG washers.

Bought the LG front loading washer 4 years ago. Thought it would be better and more cost effective. I have been fighting a losing battle with the rubber gasket from the first year of use! I have followed all the guidelines; keep the door open after use and dry the folds in the gasket. I even leave a small wash clothin the gasket to soak up the water. I use the different products made for cleaning these washers (tide, etc.), but still the black mold and also the odor from the washer is really bad!!! It also takes 3xs as long to wash clothes, so I dont see the saving; maybe use less water, but using more electricity to wash! And, the spin cycle is really loud and the vibration is so bad, that it shakes everything from top of washer to the floor! Wonder if the gasket could be replaced? Our 4 year old LG front load washing machine started making a lot of noise during the spin cycle. We contacted LG who referred us to call an Authorized LG repairman. Well after a $100.00 service call that lasted about 30 minutes, we were told that the drum bearings were bad and not covered under the warranty and the machine would probably not be worth repairing.I will never buy another LG appliance again. It’s no wonder why LG has such a low rate of repairs on Consumer Reports magazine because their machines are not worth repairing!

LG he washer do not clean clothes. The design is faulty - and now after I have tried to work with this machine, I give up and learn that everyone is complaining about the lack of water that is used.

Where do I start. I have the top loading, no agitator, wave force. It uses too much electricity figuring out load weight. It doesnt clean the clothes well. The bleach dispenser has ruined many towels. If I interrupt a cycle to add an item (during that time the machine allows you), it screws up the machine on how much water to add so it fills the tank completely full. Contacting the company is a joke. The repairman tells me everythings normal (hes probably in a hurry to go to the next complaint of LG washers. The feature I have allows me to put my phone up to it so LG can hear the beeps and tones for a diagnose - DOESNT WORK (hence the repairman). I extended my warranty to three years. Problem with that is when they tell you nothing is wrong, your warranty is useless. Im sorry for anyone who buys LG! I hope you see the negative reviews and run the other way.

When I purchased my LG Washer I was so excited! I researched washers and chose this particular company because I read reviews that discussed the quality & quantity capabilities of this particular brand. I spent more than I had planned on this purchase because I wanted a quality washer. I loved this washer, it was the one thing in the house that I told my family I truly enjoyed using. I recommended it to my friends who were looking to purchase a new washer... It was the best appliance I had EVER owned...THEN IT HAPPENED! The intake valve on the washer messed up and needed repair. That was okay, everything has to have maintenance. So I called MULTIPLE appliance repair shops (11 to be exact), and was told time after time, Maam we dont work on LG appliances, it is impossible to get parts for them. So I called Lowes (where I had purchased the appliance), they no longer take care of parts but instead give you the number of the place to order parts for the products they sale. My husband called the number, ordered the part (which he paid for so it could be shipped to our door)... He was told the part would arrive in 7-10 days. We watch a video on how to install the part and wait for it to arrive... That was in OCTOBER!!! Todays date is December 27!!!After two weeks we called and was told it was on back order but should arrive in another two weeks. Second call was told it was still on back order may be two more weeks. Today when we called we were told the part can be found NOWHERE IN THE USA. He said they were trying to get one from Korea, and would try to let us know something in the next 24 hours about how many more weeks it would be... Listen, I am generally a calm patient person, I grew up in a house with 14 people, I understand waiting your turn. However, I also own a company and I know that your product is only as good as your customer service & support! It doesnt matter how great the product is... If you cannot repair it when it is broken... IT IS JUNK!I will NEVER buy a LG Product again... NEVER! I am trying to save someone else from the same heartache of walking past a brilliant, expensive product on your way out the door to the laundry mat. If you are part of the LG team please learn from this review... You have a great product, but unless you improve your customer service, and parts availability... You will not last long. I will most likely have to purchase another washer, and move forward from this mess. IT WILL NOT BE AN LG APPLIANCE.

WT5001Cw washer purchased on 3/17/12 from Sears. Contacted Sears within 1st year to say washer would not dispense hot water. Sent tech out and was told LG said working according to specs. Tech told me to purchase extended warranty so machine would have to be replaced if 4 service calls were made in 1st year for same problem. I did that and then Sears said it didnt apply because LG said working according to specs. After Sears sent 4 technicians out over a period of 1 1/2 years and after the 1st year manufacturer warranty ran out, I was told that nothing could be done.My argument is: I should have been told at purchase or stated in the manual that the machine would not dispense water above 98 degrees, even though it had a hot water selection on it. 98 degrees scientifically is considered lukewarm and the machine will not go above 98 degrees which prohibits me from killing microorganisms in bed linens and bacteria in reusable baby diapers. Sears would not help me and referred me to LG. LG said they cant do anything because the machine is past the 1st year warranty, even though I contacted Sears, who contacted LG within that 1st year. Sears continued to send technicians out with non-workable ideas to get hot water when the bottom line was, it is impossible to get hot water. The machine mixes cold water even when the setting is on hot. I have written to Sears CEO Eddie Lampert and LG corporate office and received responses Sorry but we cant help you with this problem.

My LG doesn’t have an agitator, so my good clothes are holding up better. However, the washer does not get clothes very clean. The water economy is dramatic, reduced my water usage by 50%. This is my first HE model, it is ok, but nothing special. It is 3 years old and hasn’t broken down. For the price point $1600 for the pair, it is very average.

So far I have not experienced the issue of mold on the door, and I have watched carefully. My 7 year old Maytag was very rough on various fabrics; the LG is cleaning clothes much better with less water and less Tide. I think the Maytag, for all its advertising, should have lasted longer. Maybe I am naive.

I purchased an LG washing machine model # WT1101CW. Ive hated it since I got it home and started using it (9 months ago). It does wash the clothes fine, but then it attempts to spin dry, and there is the problem. The machine will sense that is out of balance (even just a little bit) and it re-fill the drum with water and agitate trying to balance the load. The clothes only get tied in knots through the agitation process. When it tries to spin dry again, its even worse. By the time the machine has stopped trying to spin dry, your clothes are sopping wet and tied in knots. Average time to wash, AND SPIN DRY a load of clothes, 2 - 4 hours, and several tubs of water (not very water or energy efficient).

It is very easy to use. It cleans well and has lots of options that save time and water and guessing which setting to use. I Have owned and used front loaders before and this fits the bill. The only drawback, if you could call it that, is you must leave the door ajar when done to prevent a mildew smell. But that is really just normal for a front loader and this one is better than most.

Bought a LG Top Loading Washer less than 3 years ago... I have had (3) repairman out and this washer is still NOT FIXED... Tub fills w/ water, eventually stop but never washes. Then, will drain... Will NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG.

Purchased the LG Tromm Front Load Washer and Dryer. Home Depot is no help and Tromm is no help. Terrible customer service! Five towels take four cycles to dry!!

The sanitary and steam settings are wonderful, but I also enjoy the quick wash for small, irregular loads. I appreciate the laminated directions and details regarding how to keep my machine lasting longer.

Very sleek looking. Color (slate) is great. This is my first front load washing machine. Very handy. I love all the cycles. The quick wash is a nice feature. I like the way it really extracts the water in spin cycle. It really cuts down drying time.

We purchased an LG Front Loader True Balance washing machine in MARCH 2016 from Lowes. This past week, SEPT 2016, water started leaking from underneath washer. We contacted LG directly, tried some troubleshooting to no avail. LG customer service asked that we email a picture of our receipt; we did. We called again and someone told us that the machine was made in 2014, purchased in 2016 and they will have to get back to us. Crickets. Then, we called Lowes. They seemed to be helpful but determined we live outside the service territory and they would have to send complaint back to LG. **!! We have not heard anything from anyone for 5 days now. No washing machine, 2 school-aged children, one of which has a bug and has been throwing up for the past three days, myself and my husband who will be going to work commando soon. It seems that most products today are just crap. CRAP! Not only are the products crap, but customer service, service repair procedures and overall way of doing business is dead. Off to wash vomit-soaked stuffed animals by hand. As God is my witness, we will never buy another LG product again.

Exactly a year and two months after purchasing the washer, it started leaking water on the inside of the tub from detergent drawer. Warranty doesn’t cover. I expected at least 2-3 year of problem free operation.

Is this level of service LG intends to provide? We visited LG PEL and New Allied Gujranwala, Pakistan regarding our one LG washing machine (product model: wd80150) issue, but both were saying, “We are not providing LG after sale service.” I even sent 5 emails to LG customer service on August 17, 2011, and they did issue a complaint reference number **. I received what I felt was extremely poor service, and I felt I should write and inform you. They did issue a complaint reference number **; still, they are saying that they do not have LG parts and testing equipment. Im sure that this isnt the level of service you intend to provide. I would like to continue being a customer of LG, but I feel this type of after sale service makes it easy for your customers to simply never do business with you again. I look forward to hearing from you.

Buyer beware! Rust develops in the top housing of LG washers, starting at the bleach dispenser. It does not matter if you use the dispenser or not, rust will eventually develop there, and elsewhere, on the top and lid of the machine. Eventually rust flakes will get in your wash leaving whites dingy. There is no fix for this problem. It is a result of poor craftsmanship. A class action lawsuit was filed and LG won claiming user problem. Odd how the regular use of their product would be a problem that causes rust. Do not take my word for it alone- search “LG washer rust” and read about loads of frustrated consumers with rust problems starting in the bleach dispenser area, in some cases rusting out altogether. Buyer beware!

We purchased the LG Smart Drum thinking this was a great investment. It was the worst decision we made. It takes hours to wash one load. It constantly errors with UE no matter what load is in there. Even during the clean tub cycle where they recommend nothing in the washer. We have to constantly reload heavy wet clothes to rebalance eventually have to go directly to the spin cycle and shutting off the water just to get it over with. I am lucky to get two loads of laundry done in one whole damn day.I cant get anything else accomplished because I am babysitting a damn washer. It has caused so much frustration among our entire family because no one can get their laundry done and over in a reasonable amount of time. I am going out this weekend and buying a new washer. It wont be a LG thats for sure. From all the other reviews it appears the washer is a lemon and LG knows it but they dont care. Also, the app they say you can get is not available either. They should be sued for falsely claiming things this washer can do and it doesnt. True balance my butt... this machine is the worst. Buyers beware. You will be sorry.

I bought a front load LG washing Machine. I unplugged the machine when I heard it making a kind of grinding sliding noise. To me it sounded like the belt broke. I called a local repairman to come see about the washer. He told me he could not help me because LG is a brand name out of Korea and its very hard to order parts for these type of machines. He told me none of the local repair guys will come fix it and if they did they would charge a lot. He told me to call the warranty company, but my warranty ran out already. I had no idea LG was a Korean name brand. I will never purchase another LG, anything.

This was my first appliance purchase after the machine that came with my first home broke down unexpectedly. For several months I started researching washing machine features in multiple ways and LG kept showing up. The price, features and dependability of this appliance has earned my vote.

I just bought a pair and am still in the process of evaluating them. The styles are nice. I just think they are pricey. I also understand that the way they are manufactured or because they are front loaders, people complain about smell in the rubber and suggest they be left opened after each wash. No one like to the their washers with their doors opened.

Weve had an LG washer (model WT5170HV) for about two years. We are having our second major problem with this machine. This time it is not stopping! It will start with saying 52 minutes for the full washing cycle and take almost three hours to complete. Needless to say, the repairman is coming out. I do not recommend purchasing an LG washing machine. Repair calls are expensive. If this repair is more than a couple hundred dollars, were dumping this machine and buying something else.

Bought our LG washer in 2007 from Home Depot. It leaks from the bottom and always smells despite cleaning with vinegar or bleach. The clothes are as clean as they were before we had this product and the leak has damaged our flooring.

Bought new supposed to be best top load definitely not cheap, but recommended by Sears as the best. Definitely not have had continual repairs. First, UE always popping up, then spin cycle took 2 hours and clothes wet, now just never finishes, let run 2 1/2 hours then went to laundromat to finish. Never again LG.

The entire underside of the washer has rusted. We do not use the bleach cup as many have noted that area rusting. Now the rust is getting on my clothes. The paint job was very poor. Support personnel have no concern and will not help us at all!!!

I bought an LG washer model number WT5001C in April 2012. One year, the water pump is so close to the tub that the tub knocked the water pump out of place causing it to cut into the water outlet. This resulted in water being released all over the floor. In trying to get this repaired, I discovered that LG parts are not stocked here in Dallas but at one distributor. And the best case lead time is 7 days to get the new water pump.

I would give 0 stars! I have to get rid of the LG Tromm. It’s only 5 years old. It has bad odor and leaking door gasket. I bought this machine for the capacity and efficiency. Now it is costing me time and money due to the high maintenance of cleaning the washer so it will clean the clothes. The smell is unbearable. It’s got to go.

We purchased our LG front loading washing machine in November of 2006. Within a few months, we also started having the clothes smelling badly, especially dark colored clothing. One week ago, the washer stopped spinning. We replaced the part. This week, the washer wont even turn on. I called the company for the second time. They chose to offer me a phone number of the closest repairperson (like I cant find that myself). I asked to file a complaint. As of today, I have had no one email or call me back. I emailed the company. Still, I heard nothing. These appliances are very expensive and should be lasting a lot longer than 5 years. The last washing machine we had was an inexpensive top loader that we purchased in 1983, and lasted until 2006. This is ridiculous! We also purchased an LG flat screen TV a couple of years ago. I had to replace a part in it already. Its definitely not a good life for anyone, but Lifes Good for the company!

I bought this washer to replace a 20yr old Kenmore when I moved to my new house. Large loads, blankets etc I was told it would work for all. Within a year there was a recall because it became unbalanced. I had that fixed. Every time I do a large or heavy item this machine goes off balance. It does not stop but goes over and over again from the beginning, wasting water and electricity. In other words I have to do multiple loads and/or stay in the house checking on the machine to be sure it doesnt go into this wasteful cycle. I will never buy a LG product again and in only 3 yrs I am looking to replace this one.

We moved into a newly-built home with a brand new LG front load washing machine. With a few weeks, gentle use (there are only 2 of us), we began to notice an extremely foul odor we finally tracked down to the machine. Neither of us ever even attempt to open the door until the full cycle is complete. We found 2 problems - first, a terrible odor inside and around the door of the machine even with repeated attempts to run the machine cleaner product through, and second, a drain hose at the lower front of the machine that ended up having to be drained with every single use and even then, we had the odor. We will never buy any LG product again!!!! When we contacted them, we found no one who would even listen to us.

We purchased an LG top-load washing machine in early Dec. We waited until Valentines Day for it to be delivered! A new machine was needed after 15 years of washing 4 athletic boys & a construction working husbands clothes! Our trusty Maytag front-load machines were going out. I wanted to buy new Maytag machines but I got talked into LG by the salesperson & fellow customers. I will just state now how truly sorry I am for being swayed into that decision because it was 1 of the worst choices Ive made. I cannot stand this machine! Im not exaggerating when I say my clothes come out of the machine dirtier than when I put them in! The clothes dont even get covered in water! I know theyre environmentally friendly, but even when you use the water plus option there should not enough water to get all the clothes wet! I have to physically get my arms in the machine & agitate the clothes.I called the store we purchased them from and of course since they are used they wont return them. I call LG, whose customer service is in a foreign country and the guy proceeds to tell me in a heavy accent that I dont know how to use the washing machine. Its user error. He didnt believe me that the clothes werent washing and continued to argue with me that I didnt read the manual. I asked what we could do to solve this problem & he told me theres nothing they can do. LG... Lifes good... NOT if you own an LG appliance! If you do buy an LG machine make sure you also buy a washboard! Youre going to need it if you want any of your laundry to be clean!

I have an LG top loading washer purchased 8 months ago. On 12/26/2012, it quit working during a load of laundry. It is locked and full of water. This Wednesday, it has been three weeks! It smells bad and the clothes are molding. LG will not call me back. The store I purchased it from is trying to fix it. They have been to the house two times. Still waiting! LG product I will ever purchase!

Purchased a LG front load washing machine that has been leaking water for the past 4 months. Machine is still under warranty: 3 different service technicians visited home over 5 times and have been unable to repair the machine. The technicians initially claimed we were using too much detergent, till the last technician found a crack in the discharge hose and replaced it. Unfortunately, that wasnt the only problem as the machine is still leaking, but now worse than before. And now the leak is so bad, it resulted in water damage to our new construction home. Not only that, but the once quiet machine now sounds worse than before and the technician scratched up our unit.I informed LG again but still no result. From the very beginning, I pleaded with them to send a different service company to our home, but LG refused. I talked to customer service reps and even folks in their executive services department to no avail. After the first few visits, I began to ask for LG to replace the unit, again LG refused. After the leak caused water damage, I asked again for LG to replace the unit, but again LG refused. The machine is still under warranty, the service technicians have been unable to repair the unit, but LG still refuses to replace it even though the terms of the warranty indicate that replacement is an option.

Bought this $900.00 nightmare from Home Depot, clothes smell horrible, washer has dirt all around top of tub, soap dispenser does not work!! From day 1, my machine leaked. I called and was told it was due to using too much detergent. I thought that may be the problem and used below the normal line every cycle. Still sporadically, there are leaks below the machine. As I called and was told over and over again, my machine is fine. I let my machine go out of warranty. Now beyond leaking, it stops mid-cycle often so I have to sit next to the machine while washing clothes to restart it and finish cycles. Beyond that, sometimes it gets stuck at 9 minutes left and starts spinning and stops spinning over and over again. Beyond that, when it is filling up, the valves close so quickly it causes all the pipes in my house to shake and bang causing leaks in pipes. Something needs to be done about this. LG should stand behind their product.

We did our research before purchasing the rave reviewed on Consumer Report LG Tron washing machine. It was only 13 months until the first breakdown. I called in a repairman and also contacted LG regarding any warranty. What I could make out from the heavy dialect was that I was out of luck because I didnt buy the extended warranty package. Long story short, we had a repairman every year for the past six years costing $980. We had the same part replaced four times. Many, many, many calls into LG and the final offer was $157. The machine does not work and has been scraped. It has taken almost seven months for their settlement. I will never purchase or ever recommend an LG product ever again. Never is a long time!

I purchased the machine about 6 years ago. For the last few years, rust has accumulated around the outside of the bleach dispenser (i.e., the area where you pour the bleach in to be dispensed later during the wash cycle). It is getting worse and covers a larger area as time goes on. According to the LG customer service, the cause is spilled bleach around the dispenser area and furthermore, they say, this is merely cosmetic and does not affect the function of the washing machine. I disagree.First, as noted, the area is growing. Second, there are stains on clothing after washing that are hard to explain any way other than something to do with the rust on the body of the machine. Finally, I do not believe it has anything to do with spilled bleach because there is a spout in the back of the machine that delivers rinse water and that spout is also rusting. It would be necessary for me to purposefully pour bleach over this spout, or wipe it on, in order to for bleach to cause the rust in that location. Like some other reviewers, I have had a few problems with a UE error message, but it usually works out. This could be because I do wash rather small loads and I tend to use the bulky bedding setting, even for small loads, to get enough water to thoroughly wash and rinse the clothes.Overall I am very disappointed with the LG and would prefer an agitator type machine in order to not use so much water for small loads. Thats what I will be looking for to replace this one - since spending even $300 for a technician to come and look at it seems excessive. I should add that three years ago I purchased another LG machine for a different location; at that time there was no rust on my home washer. The newer machine has been used rarely because it is in a vacation house. Nonetheless, after approximately 100 uses, the circuit board quit and the machine is dead. Naturally it is out of warranty, so getting rid of it seems the only sensible solution.

Purchased LG top loader in 2013, worked perfectly until a month ago. Will not complete cycle. Get UE error, even when empty. Had tech replace sensor board and motor. Still not working right! Wont ever buy another LG product! Waste of money!!

A friend gave me a used LG Tromm washer. It never worked correctly - kept getting a DE error or a de error. Replaced door sensor, cleaned out drain, had two different professionals repairman come and one handyman twice - still not repaired. LG says they cant do anything because their model number sticker wore off. Unbelievable.

Unsure when I purchased this pair of LG Front Load Washer n Dryer. Today we find the machine will not spin out water. Rerun the cycle. Still not spun dry at all. On the third run through.... we get an error message of OE - meaning the water will not spin out - genius took 3 cycles to tell me what we knew. Will call tomorrow. HATE this washer early on the mold issue the mold covered the dispensing interior. CS was no help, I had to deal with this myself. The ugly MOLD smell is horrible. Now I have discovered an itchy??? All over my body...

Have had nothing but trouble with expensive washer. Piece of junk and company does not care.

Got my moneys worth, as had washer 8-9 years and finally was condemned. Washed 8-10 loads a day, everyday with 8-10 family members in living with us at anytime. We live out in the country and have moved 3 times in the 9 years making it hard on the machines, but they always gave great service.

I have no issue about the washer and its performance. My issue I have is the smell and mold that develops on the rubber gasket. I have to constantly clean and deodorize the washer. At time I have to constantly re-balance the load especially when doing towels or other heavy items.

It had a leaking Tromm front loader. This ruined my 180 sq. ft. of ash hardwood flooring costing approximately $2000.00. After the floor was replaced and a pan placed under the machine, I have noticed that it fills up about once a week. This leak is coming from the dispenser tray! I noticed water and soap residue on the inside of the front panel that had also caused the door hinge to start rusting. After closer inspection of the dispenser during operation, I can see water hitting the angled section of the tray and running over the side. LG said a repair tech would have to fix this, but without a newly designed part, it will just do the same thing again. This is not caused by too much soap as some might suggest because it does this with or without adding soap! The only solution I see is to buy another brand after spending over $1000.00 a year for a poorly designed product.

We received our new LG top load washing machine at the beginning of Feb. 2016. Mid March (not even two months!). We noticed all dress shirts and golf shirts were coming out with oily spots on them. Contacted Home Depot who directed us to LG. So, we did contact LG since Mar 21st. You cant reach customer service right away; each customer service rep tells you so many different things. Customer service asks you if you are using HE detergent or fabric softener, and then tells you to try tub clean with clean water then with bleach which didnt solve the problem. The technician LG sends tells you it is what youre putting in the washing machine is the problem. One customer service rep tells you once the technician looked at it, it will be escalated to Mgmt. for exchange; another rep tells you it is rejected and asks you more tub clean while your dirty clothes is piling up. The next minute, the rep on the phone tells you that they dont have an updated report from the technician. Terrible machine and service!!! Wrong machine to get!!! Our old machine didnt have this problem!!
