Love it well worth every penny! I made different leg fronts! But other than the legs it is beautiful!

There aren't a whole lot of reviews on these Ilve ranges, so I'll give a detailed one here. If you're looking at the 40" model, this is one of the only ranges I'm aware of that's available in that size. These are identical to the Hallman ranges, the only difference being in the styling and brand name. Ilve is the manufacturer for both. Delivery was great. It is packed extremely well - on a pallet surrounded by a wooden cage. The Wayfair delivery crew went above and beyond and dropped it for us in our kitchen, a short distance from our entrance. They were great. Installing it is a bear. If you are not a DIYer, don't attempt it. We needed to convert our 3-prong socket to a 4-prong with a ground - Ilve explicitly forbids 3-wire setups with the ground strapped to neutral. Oh, and they ship the range in a hardwire configuration. Get a 50A male plug (they make these for RVs), attach it to the electrical whip, and you're good to go. Getting the legs on this thing was also really hard, you have to elevate it enough for someone to get down to install it. Once you get it installed though, this range is amazing. The oven has multiple heating elements, so that you don't have to worry about food on the bottom rack being cooked before food on the top rack. This range is the first time I've gotten legitimate crusting on meats when using an oven to cook. Potatoes and veggies are amazing as well - crispy on the outside, cooked nicely on the inside. I'm anxious to try the rotisserie and the nine, yes nine, different baking methods. The burners give you a lot of control over the heat although yes, the thermocouple requires you to have the ignitor on longer than you're probably used to with other models. The griddle (Ilve uses the term 'fry top') is super heavy duty and heats nicely. Yes, this range is expensive, but there is definitely a difference between a range like this and something much cheaper. If you're passionate about cooking, it is hard to imagine finding a range better than this one. I would recommend it.

After concerns about uneven cooking ilve sent out their chef and account manager to investigate. The issue was minor with simple removal of the fan fat filter to create even air flow. Cooking is now perfect with even temperature throughout. We also received 5 star cuisine for our troubles. Thanks ilve! Pizza option is a good idea

I love the look of this range. I do not like the size of the ovens. Had to change the size of my cookie sheets. I am used to the range and overall I love it.

I have an Ilve Majestic. Yes it cooks at a hotter temperature than my old one. Yes the burners take 5 seconds to stay lit. Once you know how to use this cooker it is magnificent. Go and do a cooking class before you buy one to see how wonderful they are. It looks amazing. the after sales service is very good.
