we have trouble with maytag doublre oven. the oven is over 100 degree off set temp and is not consitant. some times high some times low. we have had ae repair out they relaced control board and circuit board same problem still exists. we had turner repair out they took a reading when it hit desires temp but did not stay to see temp rise above or below set temp. turner repair another tech order a temp probe the turner tech put in probe and jst left didnot even check oven. he was pissed off I quess. same problem still exisits. We bought stove from Nebraka furniture mart the said theyont support repair after 30 days. we hope and pray that the tech will report to Maytag (Whirlpool) that the stove is bad and we can get a new one. So far no repair action has helped. We had a repair person out to repair a leak on a whirlpool washer . he also is qualified on stove but not a whirlpool repair authorized repair person. He checkedd the stove and said it is 100 degees off and we need to get a new one. Bought a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWM2 on 02 Jan 2012 with no issues whatsoever until three days ago when it stopped working altogether and after doing a series of tests I discovered that Im joining a large and growing list of owners with the same problem. I never have been a fan of digital controls due to their vulnerability to temperature and humidity conditions or high impacts for that matter. Ive owned many dishwashers of various brands for upwards of 10 years on average each. This is the first one not equipped with analog/mechanical controls. Im hoping I can still find more of that type.

Maytag Washer over 3 years old. Often problematic not functioning smoothly! Maytag invented this defective machine to intentionally rob the customer with all the probs that comes with it - poor design & quality, & not logistically programmed! Even aftercare/customer service SUCKS!!! Now, sensor spinning option is no longer working, drum not operational. No more Maytag!!!

The Neptune Front Load Washing Machine I purchased in December of 2007 star
The Neptune Front Load Washing Machine I purchased in December of 2007 started sounding like a jet taking off, about three months ago. The noise has become unbearable. The repair person said that the whole drum needs to be replaced and it is not worth fixing. Are you kidding me? This was an expensive washing machine and now we have to get a new one? We cannot afford to get a new washing machine. We need an explanation of why this would happen and from the other complaints I have read on the Maytag website, we are not the only ones. This is the second time something has happened to this washer, the first time, it was under warranty (only a few months into the purchase and the pump was bad and was replaced). What is the company doing to help people with this faulty machine?

I thought I was safe in buying Maytag for all of my appliances in my new kitchen. I bought a double wall oven Maytag MEW6630DDS. I bought it in late 2010 and have had no issues until August of 2018. I rarely use the bottom but used it in August of this year to cook cupcakes. After baking them and leaving the kitchen for a short while I heard a loud explosive, shattering sound. I walked to the kitchen to see that the bottom oven door had shattered into a million pieces. Thank the good Lord that I was not near it. I contacted Maytag to see if there was a reason it would have done this. They said that there had not been a recall. They sent a repairman at no cost to look at it. He came, took it apart and had no reason for why it would have done this. He left it in pieces and said that he was ordering the replacement door. Maytag advised us to turn off the breaker to the oven. After a month without ovens, the repairman called and said that the part had been discontinued. HA! You think?!? It has the potential to explode. It should have been recalled, not just discontinued. Maytag offered us 20% off a new set of $3000 wall ovens or $150 to pick ours up for disposal. Talk about saving the company money and screwing over the unlucky recipient of a defective product. They ought to be ashamed. I am going to have to replace the broken glass with aftermarket glass. What is going to happen when I use the self cleaning option? What happens when the top door explodes. I am scared to use my very expensive wall ovens that I thought would last at least 10 years. Shaneka at Whirlpool said that people have appliances fail all the time and just have to buy replacements. Do all of them have to replace ovens because doors explode for no reason? I am not the only one this has happened to. I have found several other complaints of this on the internet. Why did they discontinue these door? I wonder.

Our new Maytag Bravos XL machine quit just 43 days after being purchased. Purchased from Lowes, but since it was past 30 days since purchase date, Lowes could not do anything to help. Lowes directed us to an appliance repair service that they use. We had to wait another 3 days for repairman to come out to look at the machine... only to find out that a drain pump would need to be replaced, along w/ the diagnostics board since it was not working either. Parts would be ordered & were expected to arrive 3-4 days later. It has been a week later & the parts still have not been shipped out by Whirlpool. We are now on almost 2.5 weeks w/o a washing machine. I usually research & read customer reviews before making a major purchase. However, we had to quickly get another washing machine & dryer, so felt like Maytag was a SAFE choice since I had Maytag several years back. (That Maytag was your basic washing machine w/o the bells & whistles before machines had bells & whistles.) Will I purchase another Maytag again after this occurrence? Probably not. In fact, I am so aggravated & frustrated at this point, that I would love to just throw the machine out in the middle of the street!

Oven dirty never gets clean, If I could afford it I would on the curbside. I wouldn’t even give it away. 3 oven in 48 years of marriage, worst oven ever.... I bought a Maytag microwave in Feb of 16. Six months later, last August, it stopped working correctly (light doesnt come on, will not start, continually says open/close door to start). I have been trying for THREE MONTHS to have this fixed. Multiple calls to Maytag have resulted in nothing but empty promises. Calls to the store where we purchased it do no good - you have to call Maytag. We got 6 months use out of a Maytag microwave which we paid EXTRA to have installed. At this point I dont want it fixed. I want it replaced. The Maytag brand used to stand for durability and integrity; now it stands for badly made products and pathetic customer service. Look up my phone number on your computers, Maytag, and you will see all the efforts Ive made to get this fixed.

MDB7749AWM1 more Maytag corporate garbage! I bought this dishwasher since my last one, Whirlpool, gave out at three years (garbage motor from Korea) thinking this would be a quality product made in USA. Well after about 6 months into usage and under warranty, the circuit board went out! The repairman assured my wife that it was rare to replace it on a Maytag. Now 9 months later, out of warranty, the circuit board goes out again! I know what it is, I can fix it, but will Maytag work on fixing to get a better circuit board? No! The US government is a puppet to all these companies that keep getting bigger and fatter! I say buy foreign products! Enough of these fat companies buy the competition out and giving the US public no option. Preston E. Tucker said it best: You let the big guys push the little guys out of the game and you will end up with garbage for products! Do yourselves a favor, buy Bosch, LG or Samsung. I know their products are not better but just maybe, someone in these corporate offices will see that to sell in the USA, you have to sell quality again!

Purchased a non agitator washer 1 year ago. Constant frustration with the sensing technology. Cannot select a water level or load size. The expectation is that the machine will do that automatically. The water dispenses through the soap container adding soap to dry clothes which then leave white marks on dark clothes. All of the selections for loads do not have a water level close to covering the clothes. The only way to achieve coverage is to reopen the lid multiple times to restart the sensing feature. Another option is to add wet clothes to increase the weight to “fool” the sensor. Some clothes have come out of the wash still dry in areas. Every load, no matter what size takes a full hour to complete! There is no quick load to be done! I have paused the cycle to leave the house and the water drains from the machine causing you to begin your 1 hour cycle again. Epic fail by the Engineers to provide a user friendly machine. This one, as time goes on, just becomes more frustrating and yes very noisy during the spin cycle.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in 2008. I had a repair person out today on both units. I was told that it will cost as much to fix the washer as it would be to purchase a new one. As far as the dryer was concerned, I was told to live with the timer issue rather than replace the expensive mother board. I was also told that the drum bearing issue with the washer is fairly common with the Maytag machines. It looks like the Maytag repairman isnt so lonely anymore! I paid a lot of money for these machines and they amount to a hill of garbage after three years. I may be buying a new washer, but you can bet your boots it wont be Maytag/Whirlpool!

I bought this stove thinking of the Maytag repair man commercial that was advertised on TV for washing machines. Apparently Maytag only knows how to make washing machines (I did not buy one of their washing machines after my experiments with their stove). From day one the oven door never closed right, the self cleaning oven device had to be replaced 3 times over the year after have a repairman tell me that they all fail. I stopped using the self cleaning feature. This stove has cost me so much in repairs. The cook top is very very hard to clean. It always looks dirty. All the plastic knobs have melted off because the oven door never closed right. And the knobs are crazy expensive to replace as is just about everything on this stove. The oven temperature can not be trusted never cooked at the temperature it was set at. I paid a lot of money for this stove 10 years ago. And I am finally able to replace it thanks to a Christmas present from my 3 children. I love to cook and this stove made it difficult. My advice is to look for a different company when buying a kitchen stove. This Maytag has been nothing but trouble for me.

My Maytag AquaLift Range MGR8880AS0 was given to me in September 2014. While the range top was excellent and gave me no problem, the so-called self-cleaning is a total joke. I do not do a lot of grease baking or broiling so I have not needed to clean the oven only twice. The first time was a total surprising astonishment. When I opened the oven immediately after the cycle was completed, the oven was not even 350 degrees, most of the water was still in the oven! This happened shortly after a family crisis (my husband became ill and died), so I did not do any inquiries regarding the cleaning failure. Today, January 24, 2018 I decided I would do my second cleaning. Wow, it was a total and complete failure. The oven was barely warm.I always had a Maytag washer, way back in the 1970/1980. My four children grew up with the Maytag, So, I think when one of my children decided to gift me with a new range after a change in location, the Maytag name was at the top of the list. Unfortunately, in 2014 Maytag was no longer what it had been way back in the olden days. The name Maytag does not stand for what it used to stand. End of my story. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get this off my chest. Since this was a gift, I do not have a receipt. However, I have an insurance renewal due advice (coverage expires 05/24/2018).

We purchased a $700 Maytag range 2 years ago and recently the oven did not work. After a Maytag authorized tech came out and checked the unit, he proclaimed the circuit board was bad and needed to be replaced. Since these ovens only have a 1-year warranty - regardless of the price you pay - he said it would be over $450 to repair it. When I asked why so expensive, he stated that they dont price the parts - Maytag does. I decided I could buy a new range for that price and get one with a warranty so I passed. I then decided to contact Maytag because I was very disappointed that such a reputable brand would prove so faulty. After writing a very polite letter and emailing customer service, they replied with a pack of lies. They stated that they have no control in what the service company charges for parts and failed to offer any assistance. They did not offer any solution except to say, Sorry. Well, you can bet that I have already spread the word to all my friends and associates about this experience and my Facebook page lit up with comments after I posted it. I will never buy another Maytag product and will make it my mission to spread the word. I had a similar issue with my brand new HP laptop but after contacting them, they immediately reached out to me and offered to pay for part of the repair!! Thats how you take care of your customers.

Check my Youtube video, and you can watch the leg of the pair of pants sticking up out of the water and never getting back down in to get wet. Horrible horrible machine. I live in Southern Indiana and bought my appliance from Charlie Wilsons for 25 years. 3 years ago my Whirlpool washer quit filling up to full level. I decided to move it over and use for my car and pet towels. When I bought my hose in March 1999 every appliance was Whirlpool washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher. GE is made in Louisville, KY but I dislike the union.Anyway I bought a Maytag model MVWC415EW1 June 2017. Recently it started making a grinding noise when going in spin cycle, wadding cloths up and leaking black water on basement floor. Called repair shop out. I just do not have the time to repair stuff anymore. They came out $80.00 service call and tell me at least $300.00 to repair. Wait a minute. $500.00 to buy a new one over $300.00 to repair. Guess what I did? I called Maytag and complained. CASE NUMBER **. They reviewed and denied. Not a problem. I said, I guess you do not need me as a customer anymore.I have twenty year old Whirlpool washer and dryer still running, I have replaced my refrigerator (Old one in garage still running a colder than new fridge and day of the week). Bought Amana=Whirlpool and it has quit and replaced with a Whirlpool July 2019. Nothing is built like it used to be BUT we still pay as much if not more. Off I go to Charlie Wilsons to buy a $1000.00 Speed Queen washer with 7 years parts and labor warranty. Had to order it but old washer still running just not going to full mark.

In July 2006, we purchased a Neptune Washer. The only problem we had with it is it does NOT spin the water out of the clothes after the wash cycle. This has been going on for about 4 years. In February 2012, we had a service person to examine the washer. According to the service person, there is nothing wrong with the washer. He said to put in clothing of the same type: All towels, all jeans, all pillowcases, etc. This is not the real world. This cost me a service call with no solution. On June 10, I called Maytag on my issues. They have no recalls or issues with this washer. They recommended another service call which I refused. I even offered the washer free of charge to the person I was talking to, but did not get a response. Never again will I purchase a product from this company.

I bought this washer (Bravos Washer Model MVWX655DW) in June 2017. My wife and I did plenty of research and only complaint at that time was that it made load clicking noises. We bought it and it worked fine but never really filled with water to a level which would cover the clothes. Today I ran a load and brownish water was seeping out from underneath. When I lifted the machine my floor was covered with old stains which looked like oil or grease. I called a local service company and when they found out which model I had they refused to look at it. They said that particular model was known for having issues and when they fixed it, something else would go. They recommended looking online for reviews and calling Maytag.I did so and after explaining the situation to Maytag, they offered to send a technician to look at it to diagnose, not free of charge of course. While I cannot tell you avoid a particular company, I can say MY family will never buy Maytag again. If a washer is well known for having issues within its first 3 years and a company will not try to make it right simply because theres no recall on it I will spend my money elsewhere. Seems fishy that this machine has a ton of 1 star reviews within the last two months and Maytag does not want to eat the cost of servicing their junk.

In my owners manual, the description to replace the oven light shows a simple process of removing a glass bulb cover within the oven itself and then unscrewing the ordinary looking light bulb. However, Maytag made a design change and now uses a complete unit that combines the bulb, the glass cover and the bulb holder. This requires you to pull the stove out from the wall, open up the back of the oven, bend some retaining tabs around the light unit and then remove the whole unit. The killer is, Maytag has made this disgusting, usurious design change in order to force you to pay over $50 US plus taxes and shipping for the replacement unit, instead of $6 CDN ($4.50 US) for a light bulb that you can buy anywhere and can easily change yourself in a couple of minutes within the oven itself. But now you will probably have to call in a repair guy to make this replacement for you. When manufacturers start doing things like that, its time to stop buying their products. I will certainly never use Maytag again, and Ill make sure any other oven manufacturer Ill consider is not doing anything similar.

Lets be real and say that people with good experiences dont often end up on websites writing reviews because they are busy enjoying their product! I purchased my set in early 2012 and will admit that initially there was a learning curve with using a washer with no agitator. I enjoy doing laundry and Im really good at it but with this washer I had to change my routine. Always pretreat stains. Deposit clothes loosely around the drum and shake clothes loose before putting them in the dryer. My clothes come out great! I have a child, two dogs and a greasy truck driver man and everyones clothes smell great. I can wash my king bedspread and anything else in my house with no issues. And my washer has never torn any of my clothing, however fragile. I dont iron often and I hand wash nothing.I give 4 stars instead of five for the extra steps to ensure my clothes are clean and wrinkle free. No they dont make things like they used to but thats with all the new stuff. My moms 3000 dollar Samsung set (her washer) isnt working as I write this. Too bad more people with good experiences dont get online and share. Hope this has been helpful.

Purchased a new Maytag washer top load/Dryer set on April 1, 2016. Having trouble uploading receipt but I paid 1,145.83 for set. It took 2 weeks to get it delivered on April 15. 1st use it shook and wobbled even though the load was balanced but Ive read that is a problem with these machines. 1st load of clothes, washer didnt fill with enough water to wash properly - 3-4 inches of water for a full load of jeans. Top 2/3 of clothes hardly got wet! Changed the setting, same problem. Changed the setting again, same problem. I had to stand at washing machine and keep lifting the lid to get more water in the machine. Clothes didnt rotate in machine so all the clothes on top half didnt get cleaned. The spin cycle is scary! You could hear clunking noises and it had nothing to do with load being balanced. Did a small load and same thing with water level and spin cycle. Called Home Depot to pick up both machines on next business day. The dryer lint trap is so long, it made a mess trying to remove the lint even after only 1 load. NEVER AGAIN MAYTAG! Ive never regretted an appliance purchase like I do now. Maytag and April Fools day are a perfect match. Only its for real and not a joke.

I have had my Maytag Bravo for 5 years now. I originally paid 1800.00 for the set. And yes that is without the tax. Well I also got a warranty. Three years after I purchased my set my dryer stopped drying my clothes. I called the warranty company for a repair man and lo and behold my warranty is over. The repairman came and said that my lint was backed up. He stated that it was a good thing that I called when I did because they have been known to catch on fire. I asked him how is this possible? I check my lint screen and clean it after every load. He stated that the lint falls off the screen and just settles at the bottom of the dryer. And sometimes the dryer will get so hot that it will actually set the lint on fire. He fixed it but now it is back to doing the same thing two short years later. Im thinking that Maytag must know about this now and I am wondering why they havent did a recall on these before someone gets hurt or even worse by trying to do laundry.

Bought this Maytag Bravo washer in 2013 expecting long service life like I had with my previous machine. After 2 years spin cycle noise got progressively worse. Until now it roars loudly and keeps stopping in the spin cycle for rebalancing. Called Maytag. Experience was as described as others have reported with them and their repair service. Absolutely no help unless I spend another $310 for extended warranty to cover the $380 part (tub and bearing - 1 unit - cant get only the bearing). Paid $800 for the washer now more for the repair wanted. $1100-$1200 for a machine that will need repair again in a couple of years? Dont think so. This machine is only good for a boat anchor. Going out today to buy a replacement for $400 and it wont be a Maytag or its affiliates brand. Feel like a class action suit would be good for Maytag to wake up to.

Then the dishwasher panel, then the built-in microwave, then washing machine. Just the other day the refrigerator broke down again and I was told the compressor was bad. Really? Whats going with this company? All the appliances from this maker dont have longevity. I have 20 year older refrigerator from GE and its still working. Please do not buy this garbage... Its a waste of your hard-earned money.

I really liked my Maytag Bravo X washer. Until, at less than 2 years old, it started having issues. It all of a sudden starting sticking in the spin mode, then it wouldnt turn off even though the cycle was complete. I have to pull the plug out of the machine it to stop from continuously running. I was charged $104 to have a certified tech come out for 15 minutes and recalibrate it and it worked for another month. It started having that same problem again and now, I have learned I need a new control board, which costs over $200, plus labor, over $60. The Maytag service rep I spoke with was very pleasant when she told me she spoke with her supervisor and told me there was nothing they can. So now I dont like my pretty new machine at all, and have to decide if I should stick almost $300 into getting it fixed again, or buy a new washer, NOT A MAYTAG! As I voiced my complaint on the Maytag website I saw that there were many of the same complaints about the faulty control board and am wondering what does it take to get a recall?

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in 2011. In 2014 I got no response from the control panel when trying to start the machine. Service came out and had to replace the control panel. The cost for that repair was $269.00. It has now just stopped working again. Same issue. After seeing all the posts, I realize that this is a prevalent issue and in some cases a safety concern. If Maytag knows about this issue with their control panels why have they not recalled or corrected these problems! Needless to say, I will never trust this company again!!! Model number MDB7749AWM2.

I purchased my first and last Maytag double door bottom freezer in Aug 2018. The ice maker shoots ice out all over the floor, only half make it into the glass. It also sounds as though ice is falling down inside door. I had the ice maker replaced twice, the gasket as well, the back removed to check for water line blockage NO avail. Before the first ice maker replacement it sounded like a freight train. I questioned whether I had received a store second from Home Depot or a return as the stickers inside had been removed but HD couldn’t assist and Maytag didn’t care. Definitely NOT worth the 2000 I paid.

I have been a Maytag customer for many, many years. In November, 2014 we decided to buy a new matching pair. No problems with dryer but the washer has been a nightmare from day one. Have had at least 5 service calls (lost count). The washer constantly smells. Clothes are not clean. Have to buy and run Affresh tablets weekly. Spend more on wash machine cleaner than laundry detergent. Funny thing is Maytag/Whirlpool makes the expensive cleaning tablets. The customer service at Maytag has not been helpful from day one. They recommended I buy an $150.00 extended warranty. Stupidly I agreed and regret doing it. They still have not fix the machine under the one year original warranty. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG BRAVOS WASHER.

I do not recommend this product. I purchased them 2 years ago. Within one month, the drum stopped working on the dryer. This was covered under warranty. In the last month, though, I have noticed that there are blue stains on the new drum. I do not leave clothes in the dryer wet. Last week, the washer stopped agitating or cleaning clothes even though the cycle would still run. I called for a service call and paid $82 for this. I found out the transmission was not working. This is not covered under the warranty. The warranty for entire machine is only 1 year. The 2-10 year warranty only covers the drive motor and wash basket. I cannot understand why a transmission is not covered. I feel like they are not standing behind their product. Finally, after a lot of talking, I did get Maytag to agree to cover the cost of the transmission part; but I am still obligated to pay $150 for labor. Why are products not standing up to use as in the past? I am very disappointed with these products.

Magtag Bravos Washer top load Model MVWX700XW1 - I purchased my washer in June 2011 with the understanding that this was the best washer for my money and needs. I have family of 4, and laundry is a continual cycle at our home. I had the washer delivered and installed by the store where it was purchased. I was pleased with the machine even though the clothes were extremely wrinkled after each cycle, but the salesman was kind enough to tell me this would be so. 21 months into use, I had a water leak from the internal cold water valve. It’s not covered by warranty; I had the valve replaced. Within 2 weeks, the machine would not spin out the clothes; if it did, they were still wet, or would stop mid-spin cycle and start rinsing again. It took 2 hours to wash a 37 minute hand washables load this past Saturday, 4/6/2013, not to mention the other 4 hours washing to regular loads just to get the machine to rinse and spin. The service technician has spent the past 2 days at my home trying to repair my machine to tell me today that it is not the lid lock, but the master control panel which is still not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. To say the least, I now have to purchase a new washer as I have invested $250.00 for a valve and the control panel is $275.55 plus labor. This machine is the biggest waste of money that I have ever spent. I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer having owned two other Whirlpool machines, each lasting 17-18 years each. I do not abuse my appliances, overload or in any other manner try to destroy a machine for personal gain. I do, however, feel that Whirlpool/Maytag needs to recall these washers or cover the parts beyond what is written. I have read numerous accounts of these and similar issues by others, yet the company will not stand behind their appliances. Really!

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher (model MDB7609AWW1) from Sears on 09/11/2009. Its control panel failed twice in 3 years. In 02/2011, after just 17 months, the dishwasher wouldnt work. Nothing happened when I pressed the start button. I paid $294.39 ($129 for a new control panel plus labor) to have it fixed. Now, 17 months after the control panel was replaced, it has again crapped out with the same problem. I see by all the complaints here that this is a common problem. I wish I had read all these complaints before I had the control panel replaced the first time. Maytag, shame on you! Never again! I called Maytag and Sears, and as you would expect, they said, Sorry, its past the warranty period. When I buy my next dishwasher, it will not be a Maytag and it will not be from Sears.

Maytag water efficient, no central spindle top load. Clothes come out with scum on them. Really a problem on the solid darks. I have to scrub with terry cloth to remove. Maytag insists this is normal. Refused to honor warranty. Usually check Consumer Reports for quality and best buy. Energy/water efficiency is important. I like to have some control over the machine so that I can use it the best way for me. Such as soak. This machine cannot be manually controlled at all. Also it doesnt have a lint catcher, doesnt filter the wash or rinse water at all. All the lint and pet hair remains on the clothes or even gets worse. The clothes are not clean. I have no way to control the machine for my use. It may be water efficient but seems to use too little water to clean the clothes. Maytag wants to blame the EPA - This is irresponsible on their part. Its an awful washing machine and they made it. Maytag continued to insist that scum on the clothes was working normally. This scum was added by the machine. I used very little detergent; the clothes were relatively clean - just lightly wore a few days. They come out of the machine with streaks of white scum that I have to scrub off. The clean the machine cycle uses a huge amount of water. This is really DUMB: washing the machine instead of cleaning the clothes! Terrible! And Terrible customer service at Maytag. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG.

Maytag Top-loading washer MVWP475EWO - I just want to comment on how engineers have made our washing machines worse instead of better. I had to replace my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine - and did try a new one of that brand, but had the dealer take it back. It had so little water when it ran and was a piece of junk. Anyway, replaced it with the Maytag and it too has the water saving feature (which I understand all of them do) but I have to put it on the bulky setting all the time to even get the water to at least cover the clothes. The clothes just barely, if at all, actually move! They sort of rotate a little at a very slow speed. Boy, maybe this was the time to try a front loader so the clothes at least moved a little in the machine! I am so disappointed in how all the machines are manufactured now. One dealer told me I would like the Speed Queen, but it would take five weeks to get one. Thought this Maytag might do the trick, but now Im stuck with it anyway. It does not spin the clothes out nearly so well as my old Cabrio did. The clothes are pretty wet! So, another fine engineering feature. I wish the engineers would be the ones that actually did some laundry so they would see how bad the machines are. My daughter has three young boys and theres no way this would clean the clothes for her. I told her she should be glad her machine is still working. The dealer was very nice about it when I returned the other one, but it seems all the machines arent really made to clean clothes anymore.

I bought a Maytag Dryer from Lowes in December of 2013. I paid 600.00 for this dryer which I thought was going to last for quite awhile. It stopped working in January of 2016. (2 years old). I had a repairman come out and he said the motor had burned out and he wanted 300.00 to fix it. I called Lowes and asked if I should expect the motor to burn out in 2 years; they said of course not - call Maytag. That proved to be a complete waste of time. They would do nothing. They simply said that there was not a recall on that machine and they were not technicians. However they would be glad to send someone for 125.00 dollars to look at it, then the parts and labor would be more. I have never had a dryer burn out in 2 years - not even when I was raising children and using a dryer daily. This Maytag clothes dryer isnt even used every week and when it is used, there are a few small loads. I am appalled and disappointed in Maytag and the poor quality of this appliance as well as their horrible customer service.

I had the exact same experience as the Tampa person with my Maytag dishwasher (Model: MDBTT60AWW). It was not cleaning the dishes, even when I thoroughly rinsed them. Plus, it started leaking midway through the cycle. Since the warranty was expired, I purchased an extended warranty in July 2012 for $296 (yes, in hindsight, I should have just bought a new appliance, not Maytag). I had 3 visits from 2 different technicians, both telling me the dishwasher did not leak. One telling me I was using the wrong kind of detergent and thats why dishes werent getting cleaned. The other telling me that there were too much suds and that could cause it to leak. So, I should pour a tablespoon of cooking oil (yes, cooking oil) in the dishwasher when it starts leaking and that will cut down the suds. I dont think so!Then, I found out a couple of weeks ago that this model was under a recall since 2010, not related to the leak at all. Yet, Maytag still sold me the extended warranty (wheres the ethics of that?). I requested a pro-rated refund of the balance on the warranty - and wouldnt you know that with the technicians service calls, the amount of time used on the warranty (6 months) plus an admin fee - I have used $296.48 of the warranty amount. It is almost to the exact penny of what I originally paid, so I will not be receiving any refund. They are only giving me a debit card of $150 or $250 once I buy a new Maytag to replace the recalled model. I do not want to continue down this frustrating path known as Maytag appliances.

Maytag french door bottom freezer model #MFF2558VEB5 - It stinks to read all the similar problems Ive had with my unit. Purchased Nov 2011. Problems started within a year. First minor, deli drawer broke. I use clear duck tape to operate it and that has been fine. But not acceptable. About a year ago the water leak out of bottom freezer was noticed. The bottom inside is frozen sheet. I break up and manually remove quite often. NOTE: I intentionally do not use, did not install, the ice maker - historically they are poor risk so I dont bother. The ice unit is in the machine but not installed. I assume my water build up which freezes on bottom related to poor design of defrost drain and that is supported by other comments here. I find it disgusting. Live and learn. Its B.S.

I purchased the matching Bravos Washer and Dryer in April 2010 at Lowes. I also purchased the extended warranty to have coverage for 4 years after purchase date. I noticed the dryer sensor is not very accurate. The purpose of the sensor is to detect when clothes are dry and then end the drying cycle automatically. However, it fails in both ways. When the dryer stops on its own, the clothes are still damp. I have the setting on NORMAL>LOW HEAT>NORMAL DRYNESS (the reason for the low heat is not to fade/shrink clothes) and even though the heat is on low, it should still keep running until the clothes are dry. So when I open the door and feel the clothes, they are still damp; I turn it back on to run again. If I dont check on it every 10 minutes, the dryer just keeps running and the clothes are bone dry. The sensor should detect this. Once, I decided to test it to see how long it would run with dry clothes and it ran for an HOUR before it shut off. Talk about a waste of electricity. The washer also has issues. First is the SHEETS setting. This setting is supposed to prevent sheets from tangling/balling up. Every time I use the sheets setting, my washer stops with the UL error - uneven load. Meaning, I have to babysit the washer because otherwise, it will stop and wait until I pull out the sheets and loosen them up. I am only washing 1 fitted full size sheet, 2 flat full size sheets, and 4 pillow cases. The reason I bought this machine was because it is supposed to handle king size bedding. Apparently, this washer cannot even handle full size bedding and I refuse to wash each item individually - the machine is supposed to save energy, not require extra loads. The second issue I am having, which resulted in me calling to utilize my extended warranty, is tiny rust dots on my clothes! About 3 months ago, I noticed one of my t-shirts had 4 tan spots smaller than the size of a dime. I assumed I spilled something on myself. About a month later, I noticed it was on another top. Then I assumed it was something on the back of my chair at work causing the spots. It seems to happen every couple of weeks because another article of clothing had these mysterious dots on them. Once, it appeared on my towels and sheets. I realized it was not me spilling anything on myself, nor was it from anything on my chairs. Now, I wasnt sure whether it was the washer or dryer, but I noticed when I pulled out a white sweater from the washer, there were 3 dots on it in the front, and I definitely would have noticed these before, which is how I came to the conclusion it’s from the washer. I cannot see any rust inside of the washer basket so I dont know where its coming from, but I am certain it is not from other articles of clothing (such as zippers or snaps); and the reason I know this is because I do not wash towels with clothes and also, I am 8 months pregnant and have been wearing maternity clothes for the past 5 months and they do NOT contain any zippers or snaps. I took pictures of the rust stains on various items and combined to 1 image. Now, I called my extended warranty to have a service technician come assess these three problems. Well see what happens.

We purchased our Maytag 4000 series electric dryer in October 2011 from Best Buy. We did get a very good deal and have had little problems until this am. I moved laundry into the dryer and started it. While I was loading the washer, suddenly I heard a popping sound from the dryer and smelled smoke. Scared me looking into it. Sounds like either our electrical cord or our heating element blew. Coming from an era (born in the 1970s) where appliances should last at least 20 years, I am disappointed with Maytag. I shouldnt have problems at least until this thing is 10 years old. And even then I have higher expectations. So when I replace this, it will be with a better product.

My husband and I purchased the Bravos XL washer and dryer set about a year
My husband and I purchased the Bravos XL washer and dryer set about a year ago as our first big washer/dryer purchase for our new home. We spent about $1200 on the set from Home Depot. I very much regret this purchase as the washer never gets our clothing clean! The washer never puts enough water in the basin and the clothing comes out with strange white smudges EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.I have tried changing detergent, I have tried skipping fabric softener, Ive tried rinsing out the dispenser thinking it was residue from old soap. I dont know what it is, but what I DO know is that the clothes go in without the white smudges and come back out with them for every load. I have to run a second rinse cycle just to get it off, which means Im washing for at least an hour and a half. I DESPISE this machine and its costing me more on my water bill.Additionally, the dryer isnt much better. It constantly shuts itself off even when its not on energy saver mode, with the little red light going on for air flow. Ive checked the connection and dont see what the issue is. If I have a big load such as blankets in there, I have to dry them all individually for almost an hour just to dry my bedding! It simply wont stay on to dry a full load. I very much regret my purchase and wish Id gone with something simpler and cheaper as it would have done a much better job with my laundry. Lesson learned. Dont waste your money on Maytag.

I should have suspected something was wrong when it was delivered. I opened my front door and there stood a deliveryman holding my dishwasher in his arms. He said, Where do you want it? I couldnt believe he could be carrying it by himself, especially since it took three of us to move out the old Thermador which by the way was still working just fine after almost 30 years. But my wife insisted on a new washer for her new kitchen. The Thermador was actually made of steel. The new Maytag was made of plastic even the motor. It had some steel and copper parts but mostly plastic. I dont think it weighed forty pounds. The problems began the first day with leaks through the door and under it. I suppose eight or nine service calls happened in the next 3 months. The factory service men were different each time and each had their own guess as to what caused the leaks. Over time they replaced all the parts that could be leaking some of them twice, because subsequent servicemen discovered that a previous service man had installed the wrong parts. We often had to wait several weeks because replacement parts were not on hand, and would be ordered and shipped directly to us. Then we would have to schedule another service call, only to find out the wrong parts came - more delays. One service man told us we were using the wrong detergent, even though it was the detergent and spot-free rinse that came with it. Another service man removed the door cover so he could watch to see where it was leaking when it operated. He said the soap was foaming too much and flooding over, so we had to try another brand of soap, even though by now we had accumulated three other brands that were just barely used. The service men never did fix the problem. It took much experimentation from my wife to stop the leaks, which meant we could only use a fraction of the recommended amount soap. By now we were using so little soap that the dishes always came out dirty. So our choice was mop up a wet floor or have dirty dishes every time. Most of the time now we wash the dishes in the sink. One service man said in Maytags effort to make the dishwashers more efficient, and less expensive to build that the motor and pump were way under powered, and everything was made from petro-chemical by-products (cheap plastic) and that we should invest in the extended warranty. Its cheaper than paying service calls when the warranty runs out soon. What we should have done was exchanged it for another brand. My wife said had she only known, we would have never replaced the old Thermador which will be my next dishwasher. As for the micro-wave there are many things I dislike about it especially the rectangle glass tray which is extremely awkward to remove and replace each time you have to clean out crumbs and spills which happen often. The timer on/off bell is way too quiet with no volume control. The message and operation display is difficult to understand. And to top it off the cheap plastic handle broke one week after the warranty ran out which I found out that its less expensive to buy a whole new door than pay for parts and a service call to repair handle. Maytags track record made me not want to deal with service dept. again. I will probably be money ahead to trash the two appliances, start over and do some homework and maybe buy a European made appliance. I know German technology is not all about profit making, but quality, reliability, durability. I hate to sound un-American but greed in American corporations will be their downfall.

Was so excited to get this machine so that I could wash larger loads, including blankets, but unfortunately the machine didnt really clean as expected. That was very frustrating, but even more upsetting was when it began to sound like a jet engine when in the spin cycle. In researching this online, we have discovered that it is probably the bearings. When we called for service from the local store where we purchased the washer and dryer, we were told that it will likely cost at least $600 to repair. We have looked online to see if it is something that we can do ourselves, but really dont want to attempt this as it will require some heavy lifting and a lot of time. I am amazed that a machine like this would fail in such a short period of time and would like to add my name to the list of people who will not buy Maytag again! If a class action suit is ever filed against Maytag for this poor excuse for a washer, count me in, but unfortunately I will probably need to buy a new one before much longer.

We too were having a water leak from the French door freezer and a sheet of ice under the freezer drawer. The repairman came and told us that it was a common problem with the French Door fridge and an easy fix. Maytag has a new P type defrost hose that doesnt freeze up. He changed the part, $149.75 bill, and no more problem. Should Maytag have let consumers know this was a part that was failing? Yes, definitely. But at least the fix was reasonably cheap.

All of a sudden, I found water on the floor and after opening up the front door, I see where around the part that sticks of on the inside of the door, there is a big piece of plastic that has broken off and cracked all the way across the bottom of the door and is missing. It is allowing the water to leak down the front of the bottom of the washer and onto the floor.

Four years ago we upgraded our 20+ year old Maytag washer and dryer to go with a more water efficient model. The old units were working like champs so we upgraded with Maytag assuming it to be equal quality. From the beginning we were not pleased with the washers cleaning ability and now we have electrical problems and a leaking transmission. Our serviceman estimated repairs to be the cost of a new washer. (Im not talking about a Maytag for replacement.) I e-mailed the Maytag company and they basically said Too Bad. Totally disappointed!! Wish we had our old units back.

The first one would never turn on and fill with water and after it finally did it leaked on my new floor. Waited 10 days to have it replaced. The dishwasher cycle is 2.5 - 3.5 hours and the dishes come out dirty. The top rack is not adjustable to wash odd things. I feel that these dishwashers need to be replaced.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator. Big big mistake. It bangs, makes all kinds of noises. The bottom freezer has ice that builds up once in a while, has to be unloaded and thawed out. We have had several service calls and they do not know whats wrong. Trouble started about a month out of warranty. Called Maytag and they would not do anything. WE are very disappointed in Maytag. We spent more money to get a good product and ended up with junk. We are getting rid of it and buying one that is made by a company that knows what they are doing.

Maytag Bravos electric steam dryer purchased 2009 - I have had to replace the door hinges within one year of usage at my expense. The blower belt and pulley had come off twice, the last time about a half hour after the repairman (again at my expense) left. I put it back on myself and if it comes off again, I will use Locktite to glue it on the blower shaft. I figure I will be lucky if this crap lasts a couple more years anyway. No more Maytag for us! What does it take for the consumer to get some representation with regard to lemon laws here? I will take my wrath out on Home Depot here since I have no recourse. If enough people complain, maybe they will stop selling that junk. I also will disregard Consumer Reports in the future.

The transmission went out on the washer. The repairman said not worth fixing since it would cost $600.00 to repair. He said Maytag appliances are being outsourced and are not what they used to be. Even before the transmission went out it took forever to wash and the clothes smelled when I took them out of the washer. The dryer quit heating a few days after the washer went out. The repairman said it wouldnt be worth repairing it either. I will never buy another Maytag!!

MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR SAFETY ISSUE SHARP EDGE Maytag refrigerator model MRT11
MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR SAFETY ISSUE SHARP EDGE Maytag refrigerator model MRT118FFZ01 purchased Feb.2018. There is a safety issue, sharp edges. Maytag has been aware of this for over 1yr from customer reviews. I went to consumer affairs.com and there are numerous complaints on products/customer service. I have been asking for a replacement door since Feb. On Sept. 7th I cut the palm of my hand on sharp edge, drew blood, no stitches but I was very upset. Called Maytag, transferred to the safety dept. sent out service tech. He reported that it was a safety issue, very sharp edge, he had to put duct tape on corner to prevent any more injuries! He requested that new doors(freezer&refrigerator door) only be sent, I do not want/need the whole unit replaced. Freezer door has sharp edge also. I have numerous emails to/from corporate office begging since Feb. for a new doors so that this would not happen! Maytags solution is to buy back refrigerator or I should pick another model. Neither is a solution for me. I picked this model for a reason. I asked them to provide me with the simplest solution which is to contact factory where it is made, red flag it, talk to manager, quality control check to see that there are no sharp edges before it is shipped to me. They refuse to do that 1 simple common courtesy, customer service request! They cannot guarantee that door will come without a sharp edge! My model is not the only 1 with this problem. I talked to salesman & model in store has sharp edge & in the reviews the same model had sharp edge which was submitted over 1yr ago! So Maytag has been aware of this safety issue for some time now but chooses to do nothing about it! I chose Whirlpool because of the name, I thought it stood for quality & above all excellent customer service. Was I wrong, found that out thru numerous phone/email conversations. They just dont care! Is it too much to ask Maytag to give me a refrigerator with no safety issues?!!! I have talked to Aaron in the corporate office, he was no help at all. His # 866-817-5404 ext **. I have all the emails to/from him. Please help, I want this same refrigerator, only model that would work for me. Now that I have had personal injury & have spent so much time/effort, aggravation since Feb. trying to have them do the right thing I feel that I am due monetary compensation. Bottom line this complaint is concerning a safety issue & horrible customer service from the call center to corporate offices! The Maytag name isnt what it used to be known for, quality & service.

So far I spent $400.00, just for 2 of them and the last one has not being replaced yet. This is a safety issue, because it always happen when the stove is on and will not turn off. Less than 1 year ago, my washing machine that my husband bought me was a Maytag Mod #MVWC200XW0. It went. The repairman came and had to put in a brand new capacitor and less than 3 months later, there are two things that are wrong with the washer and I cant use it again. I have to go to the laundromat and take clothes elsewhere to get them done. I took out an extended service agreement in January. Maytag deducted $21.18 from my checking account and they never sent me an invoice for the balance of $42.36. I kept calling and trying to get an invoice. Then on June 25th, I received a letter in the mail that they cancelled my service agreement. I guess this was cancelled in May and they sent me a letter a month later. Now, the repairman was there last night and they could not fix it without us paying upfront and the extended service plan said they didnt even know if we would get reimbursed for any of the parts. This is very poor for a washer that is just a little over a year old. As far as I am concerned, this washer is junk and needs to be junked. My husband got a lemon. I am not putting this amount of money in something that every 3 months has something going wrong with it. I would appreciate a phone call back or something that could be done. Thank you.

The bleach dispenser will dispense bleach BUT it is full of water after each use. The dispenser is flushed with water by the machine at the engineered time in the cycle. The warranty service companies want me to pay around $300 ($100 + $70/ hr) for them to work on it. I have to use a measuring cup and pour water into the dispenser until it begins to siphon out. Stop pouring, and the dispenser will be empty for the next addition of bleach. The washer is allowing water to partially fill the dispenser AFTER the bleach has been flushed/siphoned out into the load of clothes. If the flush water were completely shut off after flushing operation, the dispenser should be empty.

I have been very disappointed with the 2017 model of Maytag washer and dryer as the washer does not clean the clothes as it should. There is the inner part taken out with no agitator and I believe that is the reason that the clothes comes out not white or cleans as I am use to it being before with my other machines. I think they need to reinstall the agitator to clean the clothing thoroughly. The dryer takes longer to dry the clothing and it uses more hydro which cost a lot more monthly for us to have to pay out. I will never purchase another washer and dryer as this in the future.

My stove is approximately nine years old. During the past year both my husband and I enjoy cooking from recipes 3-4 times a week thus the stove has become essential. Functionality and size is important when trying to cook meals with two or three components. One of the oven racks was missing from the oven when we moved into the house. Even though it is self cleaning, spills pile up between cleanings so it is great that it has a really cool steam cleaning option. Just wish it were 5-6 years newer.

We purchased this washer 8 months ago, and still do not have a working unit. From the very beginning of installing the new washer we had repeated F4 and E1 error codes. A technician was sent out three separate times and they replaced the ACU each time only to have the same error codes recur. This unfortunately took 5 months as each time the ACU part was on backorder. After 3 failed attempts they agreed to replace the washer with a new one. We were dumbfounded when the new unit arrived and we had the same F4 and E1 error codes! They have again replaced the ACU and still we have the same error codes! They are sending yet another ACU but we have little confidence this will work and we are at a painful 8 months with no washer.

Purchased a new Maytag washer from a local Hardware store chain. Waited 3 days for delivery. Old washer was hauled away. Started using new Maytag Centurion the same night it was received. There was a funny odor coming from the washer that was discounted as new equipment smell. Saturday the Maytag Centurion washer was leaking some odd lubricant that had the same odor as the mentioned new equipment smell. Since this lube had been leaking out in close proximity as the liquid detergent my wife used a towel to clean it up. This towel went into the laundry with other clothes. Now Im concerned that whatever this oily stuff is, it’s in all of the clothing that was washed with the towel. Since I live on the West Coast and Maytag only answers the phone during the week Eastern Daylight Time I will call (2 days) after the fact. We lost our home in a tornado in 2005 and had to buy all new appliances. So, I bought a Maytag Neptune front load washer and dryer. It was my 1st ever. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again. Just at the end of the 5th year going into the 6th year, the bearings started to go. So, I checked with the place where we bought it and was told how expensive it would be to fix. It was anywhere between $500.00 and $700.00. Well, thats crazy. I therefore e-mailed Maytag numerous times and was thanked for my complaint. But they offered no help with this matter. If they dont back their stuff at all, why would I want to buy their stuff? They could have at least offered to help with it. There are only 2 people living in this house and there is no excuse why that washer should start failing already. If I thought it was worth it, I would load it up and drop it off at a Maytag store and leave it there. It still runs. But it makes an awful noise and we are just waiting for it to crap out. I am going to try to sell it for as much as I can get out of it, hopefully before it completely stops. Maybe some fix-it guy would want it. Well tell him whats wrong and they can fix it and sell it to some other poor person. I lost my job in January. Therefore, I cant afford that much to fix it. So, I will now have to try to find something used, because Maytag does not back their stuff. I would rate this machine lower if I could, but that wasnt an option.

Other items have come out badly stretched, but not destroyed. After the second shirt was destroyed, I called Maytag (Sept. 2015). A young man was sent over. I purchased Maytag gas range in March 2011 at Home Depot, Model No. MGR5605WWO. I received the product in May 2011. The porcelain on the grates chips away leaving large grooves in grate, which affects cooking efficiency, (the fire burns erratically). First, I called 1-800-688-9900. The grates were replaced. And then same problem, it was replaced again, and again the same problem. The warranty to cover stove was extended by 6 months. The enamel on the round magnetic cover for the burner is also chipping away. I was told that this chipping of the enamel is a cosmetic problem and does not affect the functionality of the stove problem.A repair technician was sent out at my request to see firsthand the problem grates. I was told by him that if it occurred again, the manufacturer needs to be made aware of the defective grates. He noted that the enamel covering on the grates was not uniform. I have been told by Maytag supervisor today that she will get back to me within 3-5 days and let me know what is going to be done. I have had gas ranges before, but this is the first time this problem has occurred and its continuation is unacceptable. Is there anything further I can do to ensure I have stove grates that do not chip continuously?

We bought our Maytag Bravo top loader on May 5, 2010. The machine was working fine. Then last week with no warning, the F51 error code popped up. We called Sears and they sent a repairman out. The result was the sensors work independently from each other (tested correct in the Ohms range). It made it through an entire diagnostic test, but will not complete a wash cycle. The repair guy concluded that the control board was bad. Estimated cost to fix was upwards of $400. I cannot afford to fix. Our issue with this product is that it is apparent, from reading all the forums, that this is a known issue. And we believe Maytag should be reimbursing consumers for this repair or they should recall the washer. Our washer is used on the weekends and it should have lasted us for minimally five years. All we wanted was to make it through one military overseas tour with it, not asking much. Instead, this machine lasted two years. Unacceptable.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in March 2013 and the control panel failed in July 2014. I, along with hundreds or thousands of others it seems, discovered that this is an extremely common issue with several models of Maytag dishwashers. Rather than standing behind their products and making it right for their customers, Maytag is hiding behind their one year warranty and refusing to do anything about it or even admit they installed thousands of FAULTY control panels. This has been an expensive, infuriating issue to deal with and I have never been so dissatisfied with a company. Bottom line, they made a bad product that should have been recalled. It blows my mind that they are getting away with this. I wish I had known the recent changes in Maytag/Whirlpool and I wish I had done my research prior to the purchase.
