The best we can tell, we got our Maytag in 1991. This was because the repairman told us that was the last year they made parts for it. It ran wonderfully until 2018. The water valve broke, but a repairman easily fixed it. In 2019, it stopped running. The repairman fixed it, temporarily, he said. He refused to charge us for his work because he said we might get a few more loads done before it completely pooped out. Were still using it. I love this machine. It has gone WAY past the expected life span of a washing machine. Weve had it for 29 years!

Not only does the water not drain properly causing an insane amount of stench of moldy water being trapped, but this washer has had nothing but problems since we got it. Error code after error code, problem after problem. So disappointed. My husband wanted an LG and I said it had to be Maytag because Maytag was the best. Thanks for making me a liar Maytag!

While washing clothes in my Maytag front load washer, I noticed that there was water leaking from the front left corner from the bottom. I have owned the washer for only 2 years, and Maytag manufacturer (Whirlpool) told me that it was going to initially cost $80.00 for a service call and then more money to fix the leak. WOW. Also the wood floors that are underneath the washer and dryer, is starting to warp from the leaking washer. I would recommend DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG APPLIANCE. The warranty is basically worthless along with the washer.

We purchased our French Door, bottom freezer in April 2010 after a renovation. We have loved it besides needing more refrigerated space. This past weekend I noticed the appliance was cutting off and a few seconds later coming back on. It has an outside ice and water dispenser as well and the lights will blink on and off of course when the fridge cut off. Called for a repair and when the repairman called in the parts he was told he needed 2 computer boards. One was available however the other was discontinued and they would not allow him to just replace the one board. The fridge cost us $1798.00 from Home Depot. I cant believe how irresponsible Maytag is in this case. I have a kitchen full of MAYTAG appliances and have loved them all. But this is unacceptable. The Maytag fridge I had before was 16 years old. I gave it to a family member when we bought this one and that one just broke down last year so it was 21 years old! Whats up MAYTAG?

I bought my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 08 or 09, and it has smelled like mold and mildew for years but I still have to use it because I cant afford to get a new one. I cant get the smell out. Also, I have to take the pump apart at least once a year due to the fact that sometimes, no matter how you check your pockets, change still gets left behind and they dont make a screen or filter that will keep the change out of the pump. It is not hard to do, but the first year I had it, it were in the service center as much as it was home. I was glad when someone told me what was happening because I fix it myself in like 15 minutes and move on. But it should come with a self service manual showing how to do this procedure to save people money.

We bought this Maytag Bravos XL machine in Sept 2016. It has never cleaned the clothes properly, you cant even tell they have been washed! It also shakes a lot. In January it shook so much it knocked a hose off, flooded my kitchen and downstairs bedroom. Home insurance had to pay to replace the kitchen floor and downstairs ceiling. We contacted Maytag. They said they dont have a repair person in our area. Home Depot wont take it back. We are stuck with no workable machine. We have to go to the laundromat and pay 70 a week for laundry, plus the time, and we are out all the money. We paid Home Depot (thousands) for a washer and matching dryer. Plus all the takeout we had to order while they repaired the kitchen, but the strain of this whole thing is ridiculous.

April 26, 2011, I purchased a Maytag top and bottom fridge from Home Depot.
April 26, 2011, I purchased a Maytag top and bottom fridge from Home Depot. After a few days, I noticed frost starting to form in my frost-free freezer and the fridge wasnt really that cold. I adjusted the dials thinking that may do the trick. Nothing changed, it was all the same and instead, frost was thicker. I contacted Maytag, which by the way was taken over by Whirlpool. I told them my situation and since I had just bought the fridge, I wanted a new replacement. They told me things didnt work that way, that I had to honor the warranty. Fine, we are almost entering October now. I have had several services calls, I have written to the Better Business Bureau, I have lost a few hundred dollars worth of food for it would be full of ice and had to be thrown out, I have contacted the executive offices of Whirlpool but they, along with the Better Business Bureau are not doing a thing. Tomorrow, once again, I am having a service call and once again, I know the issue will not be fixed. All I wanted was to either get my money back, along with extra for the loss of food or for them to just exchange it for another one, since this one was purchased with a problem. I really dont think that its right that they are able to get away with this. Just looking at this page, I see that there are plenty of people with this same issue. What is being done about it? If it were them with this issue instead of us, you know ** well they would have had a new fridge the following day. Here is my model# M1TXEMMWQ and serial# VS04658359 for this fridge. Please, I would really appreciate some help here.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in February 2012, $700. After a few months, the buttons stopped working and the machine was unresponsive. I called Home Depot and they fixed it under the warranty. This continued to happen every 2-3 months. After a year of dealing with this, the warranty expired and I had to purchase the manufacturer extended warranty with Maytag, $240 for 5-years of coverage. The problem continued, and every few months, the thing would stop working and I would have to call for service - 2 to 4 weeks without a dishwasher waiting for service appointment then parts and another appointment for the repair.Perhaps my machine was just a lemon. I dont think they make that model anymore. Heres the number so that you can avoid a three year headache of a machine, MD87749 AWM2. I will say that after MANY agonizing phone calls with warranty company, after 2 years of ongoing service calls, they eventually issued me a check to replace my lemon.

My Maytag Front Load Washer Model MHWE200XW purchased from Sears had a malfunctioning spin cycle. The authorized Maytag repairman from Landers, with support from a Maytag technician by phone, did not know how to repair it. The machine had light use over the past 15 months, and hence was not covered under warranty. So I am out $650 for the machine and $200 for the repair that resulted in continued and even worse malfunctioning. Unfortunately for me, the tests did not show any errors and the machine did not state any error. It just would not spin and then would not allow the door to open. It is a lemon and I do not recommend its purchase.

I purchased a Maytag Dryer Model MEDC200XW1 Electric Dryer in November of 2011. Along with a Maytag Washer from Home Depot. This week the dryer stopped heating for no apparent reason. I use it about three times a week. I tried to speak to Maytag customer service, they were very rude and did not care I spent thousands of dollars in kitchen appliances as well. They would not even cover the service call or diagnostic or half the repair cost. Supervisor Brian @ Maytag Customer Service was rude and unprofessional. I will never buy their product again.

I am a regular customer of Leons and used to buy all my home appliances from them, because I trusted their quality and service of their products. However, last time I bought French Door Maytag refrigerator from them, about two years ago, we suffered from defects in this type of fridge. The problem started before one year when my wife saw some leakage of water on floor in the front side under the fridge freezer door. In the beginning, this was occurring once a month or every two weeks, so she didnt think it would be a problem or it might happen occasionally. However, the water leakage now became worse and almost every day. We had to put a towel permanently under the freezer door to dry the water which appeared ugly. Also, I had couple of accidents that my child slide over because of that water leakage. I spoke to one technician, he told me resolving this type of problems is not guaranteed because the problem will appear again or after while. He said this could be a manufacturing defects in this type of Maytag fridge models!!! Another problem appeared also one year ago, that one of the door handle started to shake very little, but now it looks like moving from its position and there is no way to fix it!!!Therefore, when I requested the help from Leons they told me that, You didnt buy the extended warranty and we cant do anything for you!!! You can talk directly to Maytag. Then, I send email to Maytag explaining the problem. They even didnt bother to reply or call me. Now, I feel that I was bluffed by these companies. I didnt think that I was buying a $2,000 refrigerator to scrap it after two years. That is ridiculous when you buy defected product from them, but they dont care to resolve the issue.

On May 23rd 2009, I bought a Maytag Dishwasher and paid $360 for it. Within the first year, the circuit board had to be replaced, then one year later, the same thing. On October 8th 2011, it appears that the same thing needs to be done. I spoke with the customer service and they will not pay for it. Clearly, this dishwasher has a history of being unreliable and should be covered or replaced. The internet is full of complaints against Maytag for this very same model. How is it that they have not reacted or invoked a recall? I had a similar incident two years earlier with a Whirlpool dishwasher; it turns out that they are the same company. I will never buy their product again!

My Maytag dishwasher is 1.5 years old and wont start. The Maytag call center said they couldnt help me except to sell me a service warranty for $269. Then she wanted to argue with me when I asked her to pass on my dissatisfaction with their products to her supervisor. I thought Maytag was a good product. For what I pay for parts and labor, I can get a new dishwasher. She said do I expect not to have any problems with that dishwasher. I will never buy anything Maytag again. They do not stand behind their products. Plus, it sounds like many people have had the same problem with their Maytag dishwasher. This part is defective. (I am assuming it is a control panel problem.) Since corporations are people now is there someone I push into my dishwasher so they will fix it. LOL.

Does not clean laundry, leaves dry untouched spots, all my clothes look unwashed & the rinse is terrible, leaves dirt on clothes due to little water in cycle. Im a senior on fixed income. I cant buy another machine.. I called Maytag within a couple of weeks of using washer. They told me We have No guarantee for Customer Satisfaction. This is a complete scam on their part. If I could of afforded a Lawyer I would of taken them to court. They knew what they were selling & somehow got away with it. Give the people what they pay for, not the Bravos piece of Junk. Can only wash on 1 cycle to get wet wash. But paid for other useless cycles. Who made this machine & who allowed it to pass to the unfortunate Consumers. If anyone can help getting Payback from Maytag, Please let us know... Better business Bureau should get after them.

Ive tried all manner of washing clothes, especially dark ones. Different cycles, different detergents and amounts, but it always leaves scum marks in folded places. I have to either brush off what I can, and/or rinse the clothing in a sink and then rewash the clothing without detergent. In an attempt to save water, I end up using two or three times the amount.

We have had this machine for too long. It starts banging and making tremendous amounts of noise. We have balanced it and tried loading it in different ways but when it starts to spin it apparently tries to even the load somehow that results in very loud noises and movement of the washer in the laundry room. Terrible machine. If we could afford it we would trash this one in a heartbeat and buy a different brand.

This dishwasher is reliable and has NEVER had any repairs. It cleans fairly well, but I do wash off dishes before I put them in. The one complaint I have is sometimes the dishes smell funny after washing. I think it may be our water though. I also like that there is room for oversize dishes and glasses on some of the racks. Overall, I would buy it again.

Buyer beware. This machine has received several complaints. Not long after purchase, the washer started to stop during the fill cycle and give an error code no. This is supposed to be sure to overloading the machine. The other reason they give is something stuck item the baskets. Again not the case. Supposedly it must be a motor issue. Maytag was my trusted band. Our last Maytag lasted us almost twenty five years.I was excited to get this machine but disappointed with the lack of clean clothes, error codes, and noisy operation. My first clue should have been the one year only warranty. Thats how much they believe in their products. Ill never trust Maytag again. So sad that whirlpool should sabotage the Maytag brand and turn an otherwise great washer manufacturer into a piece of junk manufacturer. Dont buy whirlpool either as thats how much they care for customers.

MF12269VEM7 - I purchased a refrigerator in September 2013 and my ice maker stopped working within 1 month of delivery. I had the motor and ice assembly changed 3 times and over 12 service visits within the first 6 months. I had the motor and ice assembly replaced in March 2014 and they offered to extend my warranty for a year. My ice maker has stopped working again. When calling Maytag customer service, I spoke to the Supervisor who will pay for the parts but require me to pay for the service calls. As well they only have a 6-month warranty extension on file. This fridge is obviously a lemon but they will not take any ownership because I did not purchase an extended warranty! The Supervisor state he does not report to anyone and he has the final say regarding my service. I will never buy a Maytag again. A year and a half of ongoing problems and no solution.

I bought a full Maytag kitchen in 2010 because like many others, I trusted the brand. However, before I knew it, the dishwasher broke down. I live in Canada so I get Whirlpool (owns Maytag) 2 year limited warranty. Thank God for that because I have had the repair guy come 7 times. Each time for the same problem (control board) and they have replaced a listed of parts with no success. I have asked them to honor their no lemon policy but am given excuses as to why someone has to come see it first before they can give me a new one. Once the service guy arrived he obviously has no idea about anything and just goes for the repair. Its so frustrating.I am fed up. It is completely unacceptable because now Im losing money staying home waiting for the repair guy. Maytag is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I only hope you see this before buying a Maytag product. Like many others here I use my dishwashers once a week. Now Im faced with a dilemma where I might have to purchase a new dishwasher as soon as my 2 year warranty runs out. My $700 went down the drain.

Maytag top loader washing machine - Worst appliance purchase ever made. Doe
Maytag top loader washing machine - Worst appliance purchase ever made. Does not clean laundry, takes all day to do 5 or 6 loads. Not enough water to properly wash or rinse load, even using the deep water setting (a joke). A load of 2 king size sheets and 4 pillow cases wadded up in a ball and rattled around so hard in the spin cycle, it pulled the plug out of the wall. Maytag sent out technician who conducted diagnostic testing, which did not include any actual laundry. Technician said machine was operating as intended and verified I was using the machine properly. I have tried to return this machine since the first load was done and realized it was a disaster. Maytag refused to help. In fact, their phone agent had the audacity to suggest I wash one sheet at a time to prevent the machine from moving across the floor so far the plug came out of the wall. Maytag surely is not what it used to be. Im sorry I did not know they, like so many other companies, dont care about their reputation or customer service, not to mention producing a quality product. I would say they are actually misleading their customers by calling this product a washing machine.

Always have bought Maytag. 16 years on both washer and dryer. The newer models, which I dont have, locks the top of the washer after it starts. I would hate that. I dont care if they are stackable but I would want full size. I dont think I would pay extra for a front loader, but the only front loading washer I have ever owned is small and at our camp.

A pure piece of junk this wash machine is. It is more of a merry go round than a wash machine. I do not understand how it can be called energy efficient. All it does is spin and spin and clothes come out as beautifully dirty as they were loaded. If you make the mistake of putting a few extra clothes (machine calls itself a large capacity), clothes bunch up and one has to pull them apart. The bleach dispenser was used as one would use a bleach dispenser. However it is all rusted. I had bought extended warranty from Lowes but Lowes did not honor the warranty saying rust was a cosmetic issue. Yet when Lowes sold the extended warranty, they did not specify cosmetics were not covered. It is not even cosmetic. It simply is cheap enamel paint.I have used 200 dollar wash machines but never have I experienced such a horrible and annoying product. I will try one more time to see if Maytag will help out with the rust issue. If not, I will simply cut my losses and buy a regular cheap machine. Maytag should be ashamed of itself. I bought a Maytag because I thought they made the best machines!!! Oh! Well, maybe they did at one time.

I give the Bravo T/L Washing machine and the Maytag company zero stars. I had to call for service 3 times within the last 22 months, twice for the electronic panel which needed to be changed, and the third time, it needing a new tub/drive shaft assembly at a cost of $405.27. I did receive a call from the Maytag customer service and all they would do is make a note of my complaint. I feel if you pay almost $1,000.00 for a machine it should work for more than 22 months. I believe Maytag manufactures an inferior product. Not only did it not last, my family and I found that the clothes didnt come out as clean as it should have, and sometimes, the towels would have a mildew smell to them after washing and drying. I assure you that I have read the enclosed instructions of how to use the machine, load the machine, and only used products designed for the machine

Bravos XL washing machine is the worst washer I have ever used. IT DOESNT GET THE CLOTHES CLEAN! There is not enough water when filling up, and you cant control it. I put a load of dog blankets in the washer and at the end, they were in the same order as I put them in; they hadnt moved! All the stains were still there and there was soap scum everywhere. Also, while I appreciate a large drum, it is so large that I cant even reach down to get the clothes on the bottom, I have to use a stick to get them up. I am so irritated that I spent $1636 for the washer and dryer (dryer works fine but same trouble with the huge drum). I got mine from Sears online after checking the Consumer Reports which put it in the top 5 washers!!! Dont buy this washer. Waste of money. Will probably just have to throw it out and its brand new.

Like other reviewers, I am having issues regarding the control board panel for MAYTAG Dishwasher Model Number MDB7749SAM0. The unit was less than 3 yrs old when the control board panel malfunction issue began. I feel like this is a manufacturing defect and the company should be responsible for repairing/replacing the control board panel. I contacted Maytag numerous times regarding this, but customer service continues to tell customers there is NO warranty after one year from purchase date, and they are saying there is no recall or other reported issues regarding the Maytag’s control board at this time. However, I have found numerous online complaints and reviews about the very same issue I am having and same poor customer service. Since MAYTAG does not seem to care about their customer’s concerns regarding their product breaking in I feel that the only solution is DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG dishwasher brand again. I have had other brands last much much longer than this one did.

I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

After writing a polite but stern complaint to several of the executives at Maytag and Whirlpool we got a call from their executive assistant. She arranged to have a technician come out to our house and assess the installation. He found nothing wrong and Maytag replaced the control panel for free. The technician has seen numerous faulty electronic control panels, and not just with Maytag. He would not recommend a preferred make or model. He longed for the old mechanical timer switches, which we could no longer find in the newer models. With enough customer complaints maybe they will do something about the electronic control panel in the future.

Our Maytag refrigerator was about a year old when we noticed rust on the edge of the stainless steel doors. I called Maytag and they were nice enough to replace the doors even though the warranty had expired by their standards. Keep in mind, the warranty starts when you purchase the product, not when you install it. We ordered our appliances from Lowes well in advance of our kitchen remodel so we would have them when we needed them. The time our appliances sat in Lowes warehouse used up two months of our warranty. Now, the new stainless steel doors are rusting and they are refusing to do any thing about it. Should stainless steel rust? Maytag doesnt seem to care whether their product performs the way they should. Its all about the warranty. Once the warranty lapses, they could care less whether their product blows up. Thats the customers problem. Whatever happened to building a quality product that lasted and customers bought for generations? Obviously, thats a thing of the past.My goal in writing this is to make consumers aware of appliance warranties. When I spoke to Lucas, a Maytag customer service supervisor, he informed me their products offered no warranty on the finish of the product. So, according to Lucas, the finish on your brand new Maytag appliance could flake off like dandruff and its your problem regardless whether its a manufacturing defect or not. Remember, buyer beware!

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - Just DONT BUY this junk. We bought the washer and dryer set from Home Depot in 2011 and have had nothing but trouble with the washer. Three times small objects like dimes, pennies and nickels got past the agitator into the drain pump which has been replaced twice. Beneath the agitator we even found a few missing socks. Today after a visit to the Laundromat, we bought a Samsung with a 5 year extended warranty. If that doesnt work it will be an old fashioned Speed Queen next. On Nov 1, 2018 - 14 months after purchasing this top of the line refrigerator - the compressor broke and the freezer stopped functioning. I called Maytag Service who said the soonest they could repair it was Nov 12 - 12 days after it broke. Also they said my 10 year warranty didnt apply unless I had proof of purchase. I said I registered my product online when I bought it but they said they had no record. So they had to charge me full cost of service and parts which would be $1000-$1500.I then called LOWES SERVICE ADVANTAGE - I really like Lowes by the way - and they verified my proof of purchase and that in addition to the appliance warranty I have a 5 YEAR mechanical parts repair warranty through LOWES. Thank goodness I purchased the service warranty from LOWES because Maytag was NOT honoring theirs! So then a repair person from FAST APPLIANCE REPAIR INC came to fix the refrigerator and said because it was the compressor he couldnt repair it so I had to wait a few days later for the COMPRESSOR SPECIALIST to come out. The compressor specialist came and said he didnt have any in stock so had to order one.Six days later - Nov 19 - the compressor arrived at my house. I called FAST APPLIANCE REPAIR and asked for someone to schedule an installation. I said Im RETIRED and can do it any time. They said the soonest they could install it is NOVEMBER 28 - ONE MONTH AFTER IT BROKE. So now Ive lost two large drawers of frozen food that spoiled. I have no refrigerator this week for my birthday and for Thanksgiving. I have to wait another 9 days to get it fixed. I am NOT HAPPY. I am sharing this experience so anyone considering buying this or any other MAYTAG product will think very carefully before making their purchase. Also, be sure to buy from Lowes and get the Lowes service plan for any appliance. Ill try to update this if and when my refrigerator gets repaired.

I purchased the Maytag refrigerator MFF2055DRM on 7/7/16 new. It was suppose to be stainless steel; but now I am seeing rust spots at the top and bottom of the French doors. I clean my refrigeration weekly and find it odd that now it is rusting. Also, I am able to place magnets on the doors - which should not be for stainless steel. In addition, I spend over $100 a year replacing the mandatory filters. I must also place the setting to high to maintain my milk and juices. As with most other owners I am dissatisfied with the cleaning action of the machine. I suspect, that in an attempt to garner green bonus points, the engineers have tweaked the cleaning water amount to the absolute minimum that may do the job and lengthened the wash cycle to the point that laundry for two average adults is an all day affair. Only get a decent washing job if you make very small loads. If you put a set of king cotton sheet in the machine, you will find that the machine manipulates them into the shape of your compact spare tire, and when you take them out... you will find many sections where the water did not reach... bone dry! Reload, rewash, ground hog day with each load. Cant wait for it to throw a bearing so I can get something else.

Bought a dishwasher about 2 years ago, through Home Depot. After it was installed, contacted Maytag to let them know that it didnt seem to be working correctly. They sent out a repairman, who looked at the machine, and then told us that with the new eco friendly settings, it would be best to let the dishes dry overnight. It seems that the company and its employees dont know [or care] about the product. Contacted their service/helpline to let them know that the screws on the insides of the latch [on the cover] are NOT screwing into anything, they come loose. Person couldnt find same in his system, finally sent screw, but they were the wrong size and didnt work. Let me make it simple for you, DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL product. Maytag/Whirlpool believes its products should work for 1 year and then become obsolete, at least this is what the Maytag/Whirlpool customer service line told me. I purchased a MVWB950YW (Bravos XL) top loader on September 4th, 2012 for $948.00 plus $99.00 for an extended warranty. The washer worked marginally well when it was brand new. June 2014, the washer in spin mode started to sound like a freight train was about to run through my house. When I called for service the service company immediately signaled it was a bad bearing and offered me $500 to put towards a new or refurbished Maytag!!! They claimed if they were to repair the machine it would VOID the extended service contract?? I wanted the washer fixed, I did not want to spend more money to buy a new machine. I continued to use the machine as is, with the incredibly loud noise. June 2015, the same machine starts to leak water and is even louder. Again the company in charge of the service contract offers money for me to put towards a new or refurbished machine. Net is, Maytag/Whirlpool engineers its products based on its warranty - 1 year. Anything after that they view as an opportunity to steal more money from you and I the consumer. Do yourself a favor and NEVER purchase a Maytag/Whirlpool product. I would like to think American products are superior to its foreign counterparts, however Maytag/Whirlpool is not in this league. In my opinion, Maytag/Whirlpool has lost the privilege to call itself American and should no longer be allowed to do business in this country.

Our Maytag Elite Series dryer is not under warranty but we have had nothing but issues with this dryer since we have had it. However, now I have holes in the heat intake at the back of the drum. This is so very dangerous and could cause a fire. I am certain this is a manufacturing flaw. How on earth does the inside of a dryer have parts that will not hold up to heat? At any rate, I want it fixed. The only way to fix it is to replace the drum. This has to be a flaw in design or manufacturing and this particular model should be recalled.

For families where people work in gardens, work on vehicles and get just plain dirty doing things anywhere outdoors these agitator-less machines are not for you or me. Ive had mine for two years and I truly dislike it (Model MVWC425BW1). With different products I scrub dirt and grease stains on pants before they are put into the washer, scrub again when they come out of the wash and then scrub and wash again a few more times but I cannot get all the dirt out. I now work more on laundry and harder since I got this machine. This agitator-less machine is designed for people who dont get really dirty - just remove everyday perspiration and household grime. I think this machine was designed by engineers who have never done daily laundry for any length of time and theoretically thought it would clean really dirty clothes. They were really wrong! Having done laundry for 50 years, I now know that an agitator cleans better. It would be nice if other women and I, who have done laundry for years, could be on focus groups about developing new washing machines.

We purchased the Bravos XL Washer (top loader) and dryer about a year ago and have had issues with it since it was installed. We purchased at the ABC appliance store and they have sent out a technician 4 times in the first few months. Bottom line, these are just pieces of crap machines. They cannot be returned! It is really a shame for the money spent and your clothes does not get clean on any cycle. The technician told us we should use the Deep water wash for all cycles which still does not work. I bought this machine for the XL capacity but also for the delicate cycle and stains do not come out, undergarments are still dirty, white power residue from OXI is left on the clothes etc... DO NOT BUY. This would get zero stars if I could. So disappointing and frustrating. If class action suit does happen, I would want to be part if it.

We bought this stove in 2014. One knob got stuck while my teenager was cooking food on the gas stove. He called me at work worried because he couldnt turn it off. My husband left work right away to go home. We thought it was just a bad plastic knob. Now a second knob is stuck in the on low position. There is a third knob that feels hard to turn. That will be 3 burners. This is ridiculous. Its a safety hazard. We consumers have to worry if the house will burn down, get CO2 in the air, and if our family and children are safe. We thought Maytag was a good appliance. I will not buy another Maytag. They should recall this stove top/oven. I have read so many of the same complaint on this website as well as online in general. I cant believe they continue to sell this with this much of a safety issue. Please take it off the market.

Im furious beyond belief with Maytag. Im furious at myself for being stupid
Im furious beyond belief with Maytag. Im furious at myself for being stupid enough to purchase all new Maytag appliances when I purchased this home as I had horrible experiences with them in my former home. This concerns the Maytag over the range microwave oven model MMV4205AA. First of all, within 6 or 7 months after purchasing it while cooking a frozen dinner, the turntable just cracked in half. Maytag wanted $89 to replace it. I knew when the turntable cracked that there were more issues to come. That is not normal in any way for that to occur in a microwave.Problems continued, of course, and with each call to Maytag, they would say the same thing the microwave is out of warranty and refused to assist me. Its not some little table top thing that one can just toss out and buy a new one. I paid about $400 for it from Home Depot. Last week, without it even being turned on, it just stopped working. I checked the electrical supply and conduit to make sure that was okay. I called numerous service organizations who told me this sudden breakdown when the microwave isnt even turned on is a known issue with this model and several other Maytag over the range models. Ive called them (Maytag) three times in the last week and they refuse to provide any allowance and hear the same old thing, the microwave is out of warranty. I was willing to have them even just provide some assistance rather than replace the microwave. Ive been told by numerous service organizations that this is a known issue and that even if they repair it, it will occur again and again and Im best off purchasing a different brand, which I cannot afford. They gave me phone numbers for service organizations authorized to service Maytag products and this just goes to show how out of touch they are. They gave me one that isnt even in business anymore. How professional, not!Warning: Purchase Maytag at your own risk. I give you fair warning. Every single Maytag product Ive ever owned has been a problem. I will never, ever, ever purchase another Maytag product again. I would think just out of decent customer relations, that theyd repair this issue. To be honest, I dont really trust a repair as Ive been told it will happen again and again. There was no notice that the microwave was breaking down either. It wasnt turned on. One day, I went to use it and it just wouldnt work. Actually, I went to use the timer on it and thats how I found out it was dust. My advice is stay away from Maytag. If you read reports, there are more complaints on Maytag than any other appliance manufacturer in existence. Not only on their products, but their customer service too.

Do not buy a Maytag Washer. I had a Maytag for 25 yrs with only 1 repair in its 23rd yr. When it finally retired at age 25, we replaced it with another Maytag assuming it would also last long. No chance. We had only 2 good yrs. Now, at 2 yrs old, it is so so loud during the spin cycle that it sounds like an airplane (757) is flying overhead at 50 ft above the roof... No way can we possibly use the washer if anyone in the house is sleeping. Repairs cost more than the initial price of the washer. Please do yourself a huge favor and buy another brand. There are too many complaints about Maytag to even consider purchasing one. Not worth the aggravation!!

I bought this Maytag refrigerator model MF 12269FRB00. It is not, user friendly, meaning that condiments and small bottles just dont fit conveniently in any space, The biggest issue is the ice maker. The ice maker shoots ice out on each and every attempt. Every time you want ice you are guaranteed to have ice shoot out of your glass on to the floor. I often challenge my guests to get ice without the cubes shooting out of the glass. No one has ever won. Dont buy this piece of crap, unless you find humor in having ice on your floor every time. Shout out to Grays Appliance in Melrose for selling crap! I will never buy from them or Maytag again. To the engineers who designed this product, you suck too!

We bought the washer less than a year ago. The washer became off balance with an average load of jeans. The washer shook so violently that it cut our floor, busted our wall, and broke itself. Water covered our floor! We have now been over a month with no washing machine (still paying on it, by the way). We have had to pay to get our clothes washed in the last month = EXPENSIVE! The repair company has been out to our home twice, broken high-quality tools trying to repair the machine, and told by their higher-ups that the washer can still be repaired. Customer service only tells us that we have a repair warranty and the first repair has no time limit.

I purchased this $857 dishwasher from Lowes in May, 2021. It broke in June, 2021. S&S Repair was sent by Maytag to repair. It took 3 weeks for them to come, then they discovered the motor and pump assembly had gone out. Parts were on backorder. It is now August, 13, 2021 and I still have no dishwasher. Lowes would not replace this dishwasher. Maytag will not authorize a return. This is disgusting.

I had the exact same experience as the Tampa person with my Maytag dishwasher (Model: MDBTT60AWW). It was not cleaning the dishes, even when I thoroughly rinsed them. Plus, it started leaking midway through the cycle. Since the warranty was expired, I purchased an extended warranty in July 2012 for $296 (yes, in hindsight, I should have just bought a new appliance, not Maytag). I had 3 visits from 2 different technicians, both telling me the dishwasher did not leak. One telling me I was using the wrong kind of detergent and thats why dishes werent getting cleaned. The other telling me that there were too much suds and that could cause it to leak. So, I should pour a tablespoon of cooking oil (yes, cooking oil) in the dishwasher when it starts leaking and that will cut down the suds. I dont think so!Then, I found out a couple of weeks ago that this model was under a recall since 2010, not related to the leak at all. Yet, Maytag still sold me the extended warranty (wheres the ethics of that?). I requested a pro-rated refund of the balance on the warranty - and wouldnt you know that with the technicians service calls, the amount of time used on the warranty (6 months) plus an admin fee - I have used $296.48 of the warranty amount. It is almost to the exact penny of what I originally paid, so I will not be receiving any refund. They are only giving me a debit card of $150 or $250 once I buy a new Maytag to replace the recalled model. I do not want to continue down this frustrating path known as Maytag appliances.

Ive read a few reviews and would have to agree. This is the worse washer I have ever purchased. I agree clothes go in dirty and come out dirty. I have to hand wash clothes to get them clean and wont even mention how long it takes a white t shirt to start looking like it was placed in mud vs being placed in a washer. Called Maytag and they said I was loading it wrong even though I was loading it as suggested by the manual. Then they suggested it needed service. I think not after reading these reviews. The irony is that I had called for service on a front loader due to prolonged washing cycles, the repairman was as useful as this MayTag washer. Come to find out I replaced a perfectly functioning washer, intake screen on cold water needed to be cleaned, for this piece of useless metal. I guess since reading that Maytag doesnt value its customers by offering some type of consideration I will replace this piece of crap. Please dont buy the Bravo series. You will be sorry and you will never have whites white again.

25 months ago, I bought a brand new Maytag stainless steel microwave. We had upgraded all of our appliances except the microwave when we moved in our home. Our first purchase was the Maytag refrigerator. Should have learned my lesson from that because after less than a year, the freezer on the bottom went out twice! We bought this new microwave to replace an old one that didnt match the other appliances and was worn out. Two months ago, the code SE started appearing and then would go away after a few minutes. Now it doesnt go away and you cant use the microwave. I finally called a repair person since its out of warranty and was told that it would cost over $300 to fix it. Really! Im so angry because now I have to take money. I dont have to replace a microwave that should have another few years of use. Nothing at all reliable about a Maytag. I doubt Ill buy anything else they make.

I purchased the Maytag dishwasher a little over two years ago (MDB6759AWQ0). This was the first Maytag product I bought and it is definitely the last one! It was more expensive, but because of Maytags commercials on what good products they had, I thought it would last longer and work better. Boy, was I wrong. When it was installed, it was loud. I brought this to the attention of Maytag. I was told there was nothing that they could do. Repair people were sent to my home several times to see if the noise could be fixed and unfortunately, it could not. This is the loudest dishwasher that I have ever had. I should have stayed with the same brand that was over 10 years old that died! Now the control panel blew out and will cost over $300 to have it fixed. After reviewing the numerous complaints that you have on your dishwasher with the control panels not working, I would think Maytag would be more financially responsible in helping the people that have your products that no longer work after being less than three years old. Just a heads up, Maytag, I will be replacing instead of fixing and not with another Maytag product!

Purchased the Bravos XL top load washer a month ago. We work outside daily and our clothes get very dirty. I havent really taxed the machine yet (Im doing what I consider a normal load of wash. I know the machine could handle twice as many clothes as its the 5.3 cubic feet washer, but I havent had that many clothes to put in at one time). The washer works great. Clothes are clean and smell fresh. For those that say this washer is extremely loud - you must not have something set up incorrectly. Either the wet pan you put under the machine is making contact with parts it shouldnt or someone didnt level it properly. Really, this is NOT a loud machine. We purchased from Lowes and they delivered, set up and leveled both the washer and dryer. (Yes, we also purchased the matching Bravos XL front load dryer and were impressed that it dries our clothes in half the time our old one did). We would definitely recommend the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial washer a few years ago. In my opinion it hasnt worked properly from the start. We went on the low end of price, because we spent a small fortune for GE products that broke after a year and a half. This Maytag hasnt been a much better experience. First it didnt drain and spin clothes, and I was told I was using too much soap. Cut back on the soap and it started working better and going through the full cycle but the clothes never felt or smelled fresh and clean. Now 2 1/2 years in, it doesnt complete the full cycle on its own, AND there is dirt in my washer after every load. My clothes come out with streaks of dirt on them. The picture below is of a pillow case I just took out of the wash! Ive cleaned the washer multiple times, but it doesnt drain properly so it doesnt help. Maytag charges a service fee just to come out and troubleshoot and charges you again to come and do the repair. Im running out of reputable companies these days with washers.

We bought our Legacy Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in December, 2005. Luckily we also bought the one year warranty, because in January 2006, our washer quit running. We called Home Depot, we got the runaround and I think Maytag sent someone out. When he tipped the washing machine over, a belt was off. He said it happens. The next year, something else went wrong with the washing machine (not under warranty anymore) and I paid $129 for that visit. Three weeks ago, the spin dry quit doing a good job on the extended spin cycle. Tonight, I put a load of clothes in and though the washer sounded like it was agitating the clothes, when I lifted the top I saw it was just noise, no agitating. I cannot afford the service call, let alone the whole repair or a new washer.

I made the mistake of buying a Maytag fridge and dishwasher when I moved into my home 16 years ago. Ive had nothing but trouble with these inferior appliances since almost day one. The seals on the freezer quickly started to separate, causing ice chunks and insufficient temperatures. We had an extended warranty, but they refused to replace it. Weve had that fixed approximately 10 times - never resolved it. The plastic covering on the dishwasher racks began to peel early on, which caused the metal underneath to rust, in turn causing the clean dishes to come out with little rust flakes all over them. This company obviously cares only about profits. Save yourself a ton of headache and DO NOT BUY MAYTAG.

Couple yrs after purchase the washer shorted out. Im handy so I took it apart. Discovered a broken wire. I had to rewire a new connection with as. The wire used in manufacturing is so thin its line a strand of hair. Now it leaks under the drum. I had to place a container under the drum to collect the water. My other purchase was a top load. I have extended warranty and yet when I try to contact Maytag, to have them honor this, there is eternal wait on phone, online, no help whatsoever. I read via Consumer Affairs that there are almost 3,000 reviews on this specific machine being a problem yet amazingly the Maytag man never responds! I have spent many many hours with no resolution. Things that I have read that are true: Rips clothes/towels/sheets. No real problems with motherboard like some have stated. Bought Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer in 2009. No real problems with the dryer, HOWEVER, may with the Washer. Had the pump go out in 2/2010 to the tune of $199.20 due to a small object in the pump. The repairman said it would just take a very inexpensive part from Maytag to prevent this. In 6/2012 washer not draining, clogged pump. All right, new to HE Washers, so told to use less detergent than detergent manufacturer recommends. $79.13 to fix clogged drain. Even though being careful with items in pockets, loose buttons, etc. AGAIN had pump go in 1/13, $214.22 (same problem cheaper in 2010, repair inflation). Wed noticed it was loud on the spin cycle (like a rocket going off) and were told at that visit the bearings would need to be replaced, and quoted approximately $280 to repair those. Havent fixed, waiting for something else to go wrong and then decide what to do with it. So in 4 years paying almost the purchase price of the unit (if I fixed bearings also). Crazy. If you bought a house and had to pay 4/5 of the house to repair it in that short of a time, no one would own a house!!!

We purchased a Maytag Centennial line washer (Model # MVWC400XW0) and paid a little more hoping that it will last longer than a normal washer. After just 14 months, the washer breaks and we are forced to buy an extended warranty from Maytag for $300. The warranty price seemed a little high; however, the only other option was to buy a new washer. The repair guys showed and said it should be fixed. After just three weeks, the washer broke again with the exact same symptom. Since I had the extended warranty, I called in another ticket. A different repair guy showed up and he said the first guy messed up. He said the guy misread the diagnostic code and didnt even put in the part that he said he replaced. The repair guy checked with Maytag and they told him it was no longer cost effective to fix our washer. Really? They overcharged for the warranty and wont even repair it when it breaks. The only reason I can think Maytag would do this is that they know the washers are junk.

Three-year-old top load Bravos. Started doing the LD/SD tango about one year ago. Intermittent fault, but becoming more prevalent. Can spend an entire day attempting to finish one load; sometimes must be unplugged overnight to clear faults. Washer receives heavy use from extended family of five adults and two children but has never been overloaded. Machine is horribly flimsy and constructed of the cheapest possible materials. I wish I had removed the back prior to purchase.Just because it is possible to attach a processor to a piece of equipment doesnt mean its necessarily a great idea. Any geek can tell you that the three things most despised by a digital device are heat, humidity, and vibration. A washing machine by definition is an epicenter, a breeding ground, for those specific environmental factors. Well done, Maytag. You have demolished what was, perhaps, the most respected name in the business. Good luck getting that particular rep back. Purchasing a Speed Queen. The living embodiment of old-school. Electro-mechanical timer. Stainless. Porcelain-enamel. American-made. Not one complained on this site. Might just shoot an Office Space vid centered on the demise of the Bravos. This time, its personal.

It does have a couple of redeeming qualities, but they definitely dont outweigh the cons. It spins the clothes quite dry and has a large capacity. I have dogs and kids who play football and a husband who does construction, and its not unusual to find lumps of dirt and fur trapped in an article of clothing or blanket. All my bras and sweaters get ruined, it twists them up horribly. The blankets and sheets end up in a mushroom shape. Sad to say, NOT good. I like Maytag, but not BRAVOS.

Purchased a Maytag Centennial Washer from Lowes. This is the NOISIEST WASHER I HAVE EVER HAD. Self Balancing, pretty much the way it is, YOU lift that heavy wet laundry and re-arrange to balance. It just slams around even moving the washer, until you do. This washer also doubles as a BLENDER. It SHREDS laundry. The agitator does not go all the way down and thus, clothing, towels, rugs... get stuck under the agitator, wind around and RIP. Have had hundreds of dollars worth of laundry shredded such as: shirts, towels, new rugs and it even ripped the waist off a pair of my jeans! The other laundry gets tied up on the stuck laundry and you end up with a twisted, ripped, tied up Laundry Ball. It will not wash or rinse well when it does this, naturally. Lowes: The salesman knew about all this, and sold it anyway! He had one and got rid of it. Gee thanks Lowes and Maytag, for the worst washer I have ever had the misfortune of owning.

I bought my Maytag Model LA608 washer in 1976. It has very few electronics
I bought my Maytag Model LA608 washer in 1976. It has very few electronics and a mechanical timer. It has been used every week since then for 2 or 3 people. It has had 3 problems in its lifetime. I replaced the 2 valves that control the hot and cold water entering the machine. I replaced a small plastic sprayer part. And last year I replaced 3 clamps that rusted and started to leak. Thats it in 40 years. I was able to open up the front and back covers to get at the parts quite easily. It is a simple machine with almost no electronics to stop working. Nothing bothers me about the machine. Its simple and wonderful. When it finally breaks, I will try and find a good sized machine that washes permanent press and regular clothes, has a controller to select hot/cold/warm water temperatures, has a regular and gentle cycle, and has 3 load levels for the water to be used. I will try to find one that is good quality with few electronic parts. I will not buy a high efficiency model that uses less water as I am on a well and water shortage is not a problem where I live. I will not buy a front loading model.I would not buy a machine that has options that I do not need. I would hope to find a quality machine similar to what I have now. I would read as many ratings about the various models before making a selection and then I would cross my fingers and hope for the best. If it is possible, try and find a good quality machine that will be dependable over time. Buy a basic machine with only the options that you really need. There will be fewer parts to stop working.

Theres nothing at all good about this machine. It is impossible to work with. Ive hated it since the day I got it. Dont buy it, ever, ever, ever. You cant put additional items in once its started, you cant adjust a load thats uneven and get it to complete a cycle, it takes forever to do one wash and it often rinses multiple times and theres no way to stop it. I HATE THIS MACHINE. HATE IT. LIKE ITS A PERSON. HATE. Is that clear enough?

Unless you’re doing laundry for an army don’t buy the Maytag commercial
Unless you’re doing laundry for an army don’t buy the Maytag commercial washer MVWP575GW. I should have gone with my original choice but my husband was concerned with the durability and warranty hence why we purchased this washer. It’s just the 2 of us and I frequently use the delicate cycle. Unknown to me at the time you can not adjust your water level so if you’re washing delicates plan on wasting a lot of water unless you only wash your delicates once a month. In my opinion delicates are undergarments, blouses, etc. delicate cycle in “deep water wash” only. As far as we can tell the wash cycle at its longest is 8 minutes which I guess for commercial grade is probably correct. However there is a presoak option that I don’t the believe does the work of a longer wash cycle. If you have to do a quick scrub on a piece of clothing as the washer is filling up you can not do this as everything stops once the lid is up.Last but not least the washer is loud it sounds like it’s going to break down at any minute. I’m sure many of the issues people have with products today are due to government regulations. I’ve tried contacting Maytag customer service on numerous occasions to see if I’ve been doing something wrong even though I’ve read through the operating manual several times, I’m currently on hold for 20 minutes. Doing the laundry has never been the highlight of my day but I never minded it until now. I absolutely dread it now. My suggestion would be if you like the features on your current washer, spend what you need to to get it working properly which is what I wish I had done with my 23 yr old washer. Worst purchase I’ve ever made!

March 7th. My refrigerator ice door started flapping and the lights flickering. The next day it quit working. I called Maytag. They said they would have someone come fix it the next week. The repair service people called me back the same day to tell me that the part I needed has been on back order for 2 months. I called Maytag back. They told me to wait a week they put out an all alert for the part. I called back in a week. Now they tell me its 2 months. This is ridiculous and a huge inconvenience. I will not buy anything again from Maytag. $2,800.00 refrigerator should last a minimum of 20 years. This should be a recall. Thousands of people are having this problem.

It has never failed me and I cant remember when we purchased it. When I grew up, my Mother only used Maytag Washer and Dryer. When I married (almost 50 years ago), I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer and have never regretted it.

We are in the process of replacing the 2nd control board in the past 2 years (have has this dishwasher for 3 yrs) on our Maytag dishwasher model MD87749AWW1. The lights on the panel completely quit working mid cycle. At $175 per replacement, we are into repairs for half of what we paid for the dishwasher. Bought Maytag because it is made in the USA but found out that a majority of the parts are imported from China? Very disappointing.

Holds a lot of laundry. Spins laundry almost dry so its quicker in the dryer. Easy to load. Easy to add wash soap and fabric softener. Only problem is its very deep to reach the laundry at once its done if youre not real tall.
