Thats right. We bought it in September 2010, and it worked fine for two years. This week, our Maytag (Model: MDB7609AWW2) simply stopped turning on. The appliance repair guy pointed out that Maytag has a horrible record which the new owners (Whirlpool) do not seem to be concerned with because even though they know these electronics are dying very quickly, the replacement parts are exactly the same (unchanged). The cost to replace the suspected failed parts is somewhere around $250. The repair guy just said, I can do it, but its going to break again. His suggestion is to shop for the cheapest dishwasher out there since even the most expensive ones fail so quickly. This particular model has a huge amount of the same complaints.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher May 2019 Model# MDB4949SDE3 Serial# F80446835. It has to be one of the worst purchases I have made in a long time. In fact, I wish I could return it and start over with another brand. My glasses come out of the cycle with film and silverware is spotted. I have tried everything from scrubbing and rinsing before I put into the dishwasher, every product on the market, making sure my hot water heater is on high to settings for the longest most powerful cycle and it still continues to disappoint. My warning is DO NOT buy this dishwasher.

Bought this washer and dryer 3 1/2 years ago mainly because of Maytag name and reputation. They were very expensive to purchase. The washer is a piece of junk 3 1/2 years old used for my wife and I and leaks oil all over the floor. Called repair man to come and look at it, wasnt here 5 minutes said transmission is shot. Cost over $400 to have it repaired. We are junking it and that will be the last Maytag product I ever own.

Ive read a few reviews and would have to agree. This is the worse washer I have ever purchased. I agree clothes go in dirty and come out dirty. I have to hand wash clothes to get them clean and wont even mention how long it takes a white t shirt to start looking like it was placed in mud vs being placed in a washer. Called Maytag and they said I was loading it wrong even though I was loading it as suggested by the manual. Then they suggested it needed service. I think not after reading these reviews.The irony is that I had called for service on a front loader due to prolonged washing cycles, the repairman was as useful as this MayTag washer. Come to find out I replaced a perfectly functioning washer, intake screen on cold water needed to be cleaned, for this piece of useless metal. I guess since reading that Maytag doesnt value its customers by offering some type of consideration I will replace this piece of crap. Please dont buy the Bravo series. You will be sorry and you will never have whites white again.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos set in 2011. The dryer works great, but the washer not so much. Every load of darks comes out with soap scum all over. I use the HE detergent and most time use less than what the load should have. We have soft water and I also use softener. Ive also tried up to 3 extra rinse cycles and a smaller load size and still have soap scum all over. Im sure the light colored loads come out same, just cant see it. Needless to say, very, very upset with this washer. I, too, will never buy another Maytag product, nor will I recommend one. Had our yearly maintenance check the other day and the service man couldnt give me the reason its doing this. So, so disappointed in this product!!

I purchased my Maytag washer and dryer set from the Maytag store in Glendale, AZ in September 2005. I even bought the stands for them. With my purchase, I got the extended warranty for four more years. I didnt realize that I would really need it. I have had so many issues with the washer and dryer I cant even count - from the control panel not working, to the noise and the vibration when washing, or maybe in the smell of moldy cheese. I also have issues with the constant chimes of D5 code that keeps coming up on the display screen. After 2009, I finally gave up on calling the Maytag customer service folks to have someone come and service the washer because it was out of warranty. I just decided to live with all those issues.As far as my dryer goes, the rollers went bad and that was replaced. The burnt smell isnt so bad as long as you use a wire hanger with a sock on the end of it and clean the inside of the vent. Then try to vacuum it, take the sock, get it wet, and clean the inside of the vent again. This was the most expensive piece of junk I have ever purchased in my life (almost $3,000.00 with the stands and warranty).What really gets me upset is I had the Maytag people servicing my washer and dryer up until 2009 and no one told me about a recall of my washer and dryer. The only reason I found out about it was searching for the specs as the washer finally died and I am replacing it. Trust me. I will not be purchasing a Maytag. I know that Whirlpool purchased Maytag so I am not even going to consider Whirlpool either. Since Whirlpool purchased Maytag, Whirlpool should have contacted all Maytag consumers, (which they didnt), put ads in newspapers (which I did not see) or put an ad on TV. None of these appeared to have happened.By the way, when I bought my Maytag appliances, I was supposed to get a $200 rebate for buying the stands that never came. It must have gotten lost in the mail - as well as the Tide coupons for three years. You, guys, remember that too. I will never ever purchase a Maytag appliance or Whirlpool, since they own Maytag now.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer about 2 years ago; dissatisfied with the products. Washer continues to smell. I clean it all the time with the Affresh tablets. Usually, I have to use 2 bags just to get it not to smell for at least 2 weeks. Now, the glass front dryer is rusting out around the window.

Two in a row make it just over a year then the control panel goes out. You call a Maytag repairman and they say the control panel is bad! #1 it should last more than a year and a half. #2 a part shouldnt cost you as much as the darn dishwasher! Do not recommend nor would I ever buy another Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher #MDB7749SBM1 as part of a complete kitchen remodel less than 3 years ago. Maytag was a great product years ago so I thought I would switch from GE to Maytag thinking that I had purchased a quality set that would give me years of great service! What a bad choice to say the least! This dishwasher has never dried the dishes completely with heated dry option. I never cared for the plastic latch and metal catch option either since I caught water dripping from the bottom since the door must not have been completely shut even though the latch was secure.Most recently, the start option on the flat control panel will not work. After opening and closing door multiple times I can get the start option to light up and run the cycle. Added bonus to start option not working correctly is that when the dishwasher door is shut, it automatically runs hours later with no human interaction. The dishwasher lights were lit up like a Christmas tree at 7 am this morning and running a cycle. Guess it thought the dishes werent clean enough. I am going to price out a board and determine whether I will throw this piece of crap in the dumpster and find a different brand! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DONT BUY A MAYTAG DISHWASHER!

Our Maytag Elite Series dryer is not under warranty but we have had nothing but issues with this dryer since we have had it. However, now I have holes in the heat intake at the back of the drum. This is so very dangerous and could cause a fire. I am certain this is a manufacturing flaw. How on earth does the inside of a dryer have parts that will not hold up to heat? At any rate, I want it fixed. The only way to fix it is to replace the drum. This has to be a flaw in design or manufacturing and this particular model should be recalled.

I purchased a Maytag Washer & Dryer Bravos XL in 2013, the washer is already in the junk yard, the drive system failed, the bearings failed and it began to leak. The dryer had a main control board failed, I was able to purchase a new one and replace it myself. The board was made in China, the machines were assembled in Mexico. I replaced the washer with a heavy duty Speed Queen washer made in the USA!

I have an MFD2560HEB refrigerator that I purchased 6 years ago. I paid a premium price for what I thought was a quality product. It has had issues with the ice maker from the beginning, yet I was always able to get it fixed with unplugging the unit for a while. The fan inside the unit stopped working last year. I took apart the entire inside to replace it, and now, 4 months later, the water is completely frozen. Unfortunately, I purchased a Maytag induction stove in May and less than a month later, it is not working either. Maytag quality is not! I asked if I could return the stove, but was told I had to let them fix it. Im still waiting to use my $2,000 stove!

Same problems as everyone else. Water not soaking the clothes, questionable load capacity, shaky (we have engineers in the house so there is no way they did not look for floor evenness as the stores/Maytag will tell you that you may not have done, complete bs) etc. Its absolutely horrible that were all now stuck with such a terrible machine. I really wish I had read these reviews before (I googled the machine earlier but got generic stuff and didnt stumble upon these reviews until much later). Maytag should take responsibility on this as retail stores do not take back appliances unless they are defective. The Bravos is definitely a defective product from the get-go though.

Apparently the Maytag Bravos HE top loading washer is poorly designed. We have sparingly used this washer for approx 3 years and it began to make a horrible noise in the spin cycle and then to give us UL error codes. After searching on the internet we discovered that the seal around the main spin shaft and the bearings were bad. Inspection under the machine revealed a terrible rust and grease spot and splatters of rust and grease on underside of unit. This is a typical problem and this machine should have been recalled or at the very least repaired by Maytag for little if any cost. They now make a kit to fix this problem, but this should not happen after only 2-4 years of use on a $700+ machine. Very, very disappointed with Maytag! Customer service, of course, offered us nothing as pathetic 1 year warranty was expired. Ten year on the tub, like anything will go wrong with that.

I own an iron in case a guest needs to use it but I seriously havent ironed in over 20 years. I moved into a home in November and the appliances stayed with the home. I am systematically destroying my clothes that I always washed and dried but NEVER IRONED. They come out of the Maytag washer already wrinkled. I try to unwrinkle them in the dryer. I took 2 items to the dry cleaners to see if they could steam them but no results yet. What gives Maytag???

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer at Home Depot. Previously had a Maytag set that was 25 plus years old that still ran well but was rusting out due flooding. Figured Maytag had great products. Have had mine for 4 years now and had nothing but trouble. Paid countless service calls, mainly on washer, will work for a short while and then stop again. Cant put more than 4 towels, or 3 pairs of pants or basically anything or the codes start popping up. I am so angry that a product I paid a lot of money for is such a piece of crap. Maytag Company has been no help and I see with all the complaints on this site I am not the only one who feels this way. A class action suit would be great!

I purchased my Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in July 2007. As with any appliance, we always purchase the extended warranty as it usually runs about $100 on appliance. My first experience with problems was in February 2010 when the control panel went out. If I had not purchased the extended warranty, I would have been in trouble. It ran out in July 2008. It was downhill from there. In September 2010, it quit spinning; and the fabric dispenser would not work. I called again in September 2010. The tub was out of balance. In June 2011, the panel control went out again. In November 2011, it would not spin. In June 2012, the panel for control had to be changed out again. In July 2012, now the pump is leaking. And guess what, my extended warranty is up 8/1/2012. I contacted Customer Service, which said unless there was the same problem within 12 months, there was nothing they could do. Well, Im fired up. I intend on making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and anyone else who will listen to me. I paid over $2000 for the washer and dryer, and it should last more than 5 years. This is ridiculous! When Whirlpool bought out Maytag, then the product went to crap! Dont tell me the Maytag repairman does not have anything to do now, because I know I keep him real busy. I am so tired of the companys just blowing you off when you work hard for your money and purchase a product for your family that should last at least 10 years. I am a principled person, and this is not going to go away easy. The repairman is coming next week to fix it again. I am going to give him an earful as well. The last one who came to change out the panel board (3rd time) said they had nothing but problems with this unit. Well maybe they made it that way, so when the warranty runs out, they can charge you an arm and a leg for the part and the labor to repair. I will never buy a Maytag product ever again. My next one will be the new LG washer and dryer. Talk about the lemon law. This product from what I am reading here should very well fall within that category.

We were sold a Maytag Neptune washer mah550bbw in 2004 when it was already on recall by Maytag and a class action lawsuit was filed against Maytag. We also bought an extended warranty. Now we have the same problems as the lawsuit. We own dry cleaners so we do laundry once a month for small articles. For the last few months the clothes have an odor and they come out looking not clean. We were sold a defective and recalled product and are not happy right now. We would like a fast resolution to this problem; otherwise, we seek legal actions.

Dependo de mi lavadora Maytag de carga frontal. Es muy fiable, hace un gran trabajo de limpieza incluso de artículos difíciles como edredones y almohadas, así como de artículos muy sucios. We bought this washer in February of 2010. We had the pump replaced under warranty in January of 2011, and the pump appeared to have a hole in it from some type of hard object that had gotten inside the pump and damaged it. We then replaced the L-shaped hose between the tank and the pump because it had a small hole in it - very thin rubber. Last week, the washer was leaking again and the service technician said that the pump housing was cracked due to a penny rattling around inside the pump.This washer performs very well when it is working but it seems to be too fragile to handle on normal usage. The Whirlpool washer we replaced with this one ran for 23 years with no problems before it finally went out. From all appearances, it seems that every failure we have had with this washer has been due to damage from foreign objects getting trapped in the pump. Is there no screening mechanism to prevent hard objects from entering the pump? This seems to be a design flaw more than anything.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave in 2006. Like another commenter, I also insisted on all Maytag appliances. What a huge disappointment. About four months into owning the microwave, a computer module had to be replaced. The microwave stopped working about six weeks out of warranty. It just stopped working, period. I was told by Maytag that they consider microwave a disposable product and they would not cover the repairs. It was cheaper to buy a new one than repair the old one so I replaced it with another brand. The dishwasher failed after 4.5 years (would not drain) and again it was cheaper to replace it than fix it. The oven range handle broke off (normal use) in August 2011 and that cost me approximately $200 for the part and the service call. The refrigerator has had two service calls for the ice maker to replace the motor. The first was covered by Maytag, the second by me. This occurred when the unit was approximately three years old. In August 2011, I had another $90 repair because the ice maker drain (?) was plugged and had to be cleared fixed. I have never been able to pay what I paid for these appliances. Prior to this, we always purchased a middle-range appliance and we never had problems like this.I will never purchase another Maytag product again. This is so disappointing. I live in MI and I wanted to support a MI business. Unfortunately, I wont be able to help out this particular company any longer. Dont buy Maytag appliances. It is a waste of money.

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

I purchased a new Maytag washer (Model# MVWC565FWO) from LOWES 18 months ago and the paint is bubbling on the inside of the door. Neither Lowes nor Maytag would do a thing. We have spend many $1000s at Lowes and considering the replacement cost is only $126 for a new door I can see Lowes following Sears for their lack of customer service and diplomacy in matters like these.

After owning Maytag Model MHWE450WW01 for nine months, we had to have the bearing and drum replaced. It was down two weeks, and I missed two half days of work. Two weeks after being supposedly fixed, it is down again, belt out this time and I will be missing two half days of work again.After missing two days of work, I still have a piece of junk washing machine.

I had a Maytag washing machine replaced under warranty back in 2011 via Maytags Extended Service Plan. This took me several months to get done because of back and forth issues with Maytag not wanting to honor the replacement. Executive Support had to get involved after I wrote a complaint on this site. When they replaced this, they sent me forms to extend my warranty, which I did. They never changed the model or serial number so Ive been paying for 2 years now for an extended warranty on a machine I do not own.The new washer broke and I called in for service on 11/18/13. Active Appliance was sent out, said it was an easy fix but they needed to order a part. On 11/20/13 they contacted me to tell me I needed to speak to Maytag because my Model/Serial didnt match with my warranty records. I double-checked these and called Maytag Extended Service and was told that I would need to speak to sales at 866-730-6094. I spoke to someone named Lindsey there who told me that I would need to send a letter in to cancel my policy and request a refund for the 2 years Id been paying for a non-existent unit and that they could start a new policy for me and get a service order in without issue. My call was disconnected during this and when I called back, I was told to call back in the morning to get back to Lindsey because the office was closing and they couldnt do callbacks.I called back on 11/21/13 and spoke to Sam who verified that the letter was needed to cancel and refund but that I would have to pay for the repair to the washer myself and theyd tack on the cost of the new warranty onto that bill so Id be covered AFTER THE FACT. Because the unit wasnt covered under warranty, Id have to cover the costs myself and it had been MY responsibility, not theirs, to make sure that the correct model/serial was on the coverage.Maytag sent me the forms and I would expect them to have added the new information on it...not send me forms with my original washing machine information. Especially as this had been escalated to Executive Support and the person I dealt with there had gone over everything to make sure it all got handled in a satisfactory matter. So for now, Im waiting for a callback from the original rep, Lindsey, but Maytag tends to Stonewall and not return calls so Im dreading how long this entire process is going to take and cost.

Maytag Performa Side by Side fridge PSD262LHEB door handle pulled off for the second time since purchase but this time, the handle knocked over a pot of hot water on me. I am just relieved that I have no small children anymore. I would consider this very dangerous in any household. The first time, it was covered under warranty along with the broken ice maker. The repairman stated that he had replaced many handles and due to design flaw, they would not last long.

Maytag Centurian is a terrible product. I dont think the designers of this model have ever washed and dried a load of clothes. Washer problems: The lid (top loading) locks so user unable to determine if the correct amount of detergent is being used. There is an unlock button, but it takes quite a long time to unlock (maybe 15 seconds), then an even longer time (seems like a minute or 2 to restart). The machine is LOUD and at one point in the cycle BANGS. I actually returned the first as defective, but when the 2nd machine made the same noise, I was told, no, thats the way it is. It seems to take much longer to wash a load than my previous machine. The Power Wash tears my clothes. Even the regular wash puts holes in my thin tee shirts after a few washes. Really had to get spots out. I almost have to hand wash to get the spots out BEFORE putting in the machine. Dryer Problems: Takes 70 minutes or more to dry a normal load with a couple of towels. The cover to the lint catcher doesnt seem to be properly sealed. Lint particles get all over the top of my dryer. I bought this Washer/Dryer combo last year. Im annoyed every time I do laundry.

Maytag Front load washer mah8700aww - This washer has been the biggest boat anchor of a machine. Nothing but trouble and bad parts. New motor after 18 months, water level sensor at 2 years, main control board twice now at 2 years and 4 years, and now it is showing signs of needing yet another main board. E3 trouble code plagues our home and basement. This machine has been leveled and re-leveled numerous times and still shakes like crazy... I mix my paint cans by setting them on the top... the best use for this machine. Yes it sits on a concrete floor. So not satisfied and will not ever buy another Maytag anything. There should be a negative star rating. It does not deserve even 1 star after being taken advantage of like we and thousands of others have been.

I have a Maytag Bravo washer which I purchased from Brubaker Appliances in Lancaster, PA four years ago. I also purchased from them an extended 5-year warranty. I have this installed on 2nd floor with a drain and a drain pan The drain pump got a hole in it and leaked water all the way down to the basement, over $6,000 in damage. The drain pan and drain didnt work because the Maytag has a noise barrier on the bottom and when that was soaked with water, it sealed off the drain pipe. Also, when I contacted repair at Brubakers, they replaced the drain pump but then informed me that it wasnt covered because penny got in there and that is neglect. $332 later, I was told that the extended warranty covered everything and also no one will take responsibility for installing the washer so that the drain pipe could be blocked. I will never purchase a Maytag again or anything from Brubaker Appliances.

Purchased Maytag Bravos Washer in 2013. Used a little over a year and had to put it in storage for 2 years. Biggest piece of junk Ive ever had. Ive had cheap washers that lasted more than 20 years! Repairman said all diagnostics read normal. I put a very small load in to show him the water was not even wetting the clothes and only swishing them around a little. The shirt on top never got wet and was still in its same position when it went into the final spin. He said this is normal. He recommended I dump the machine and find an old NON Maytag model with the tall agitator!!! Ive tried using all the settings combinations; and the water level never gets all the clothes wet and clothes do not get clean. Will NEVER buy a Maytag product again.

I also am the unfortunate owner of a Maytag dishwasher Quiet Series 300. I bought it in April 2006. The control panel has been a problem since the first year of operation. Typically, one of the indicator lights would randomly go on and off during the machines off mode. At other times, the control panel would not operate. However, if I waited a few hours, it would dry out, enough and then would operate. Apparently, steam leaks into the control panel and causes it to be erratic. This has been a problem with this design for many years and the Maytag Corporation has not cared enough about its customers to correct the design flaw. I remember when the name Maytag indicated a top of the line product. Sadly, this is no longer the case. As a result, my loyalty to them has ceased.I probably will not buy another Maytag product again. Their standards have eroded.

Original owner of $800 HE top loader washer since 2010. We heard a grinding noise for months, then finally it seized up. Repairman quoted me $300 to replace bearings. The repair guy seemed a bit too eager for the job, so I knew it must have been easier than expected. I Googled the heck out of it, and used this forum heavily for guidance. Seems the bearing failure is a pattern issue. It also seemed ridiculously involved and no one had posted a how to video matching my model�€�s layout. I took a peek with my own eyes and noticed a sock had gotten under the basket. The sock got caught in the drive belt and knocked everything loose. I removed the debris, tightened the pulley and everything worked. Cost me $0 to fix myself. So buyers beware before repair. And check the error codes yourself when in doubt! The first thing I did was check error codes. Found a great video here **.

I have been trying to solve the issue with my washer, that my parents bought me for my new home. Home Depot, where they were bought, came out twice, and all they say is there is nothing wrong with the washer. There are plenty of things wrong with the washer. It doesnt clean the clothes. I have to use the heavy wash cycle, to try and get the clothes clean. Maytag wont even deal with the situation. The fight has been going on for over 2 years (washer serial # is CY4744432 manufacturers number is MVWC6ESWWI).Not sure if I should just give up. Im really tired of fighting with Maytag and Home Depot. I hope you can help.

I bought a top of the line Maytag commercial washer. We had a number of service calls replacing parts, gear box etc. Then, they finally replaced the machine and all the same issues happened again. They will not take back their machine or refund me my almost $1K paid. The washer squeals when it starts washing and clunks all while agitating - I can hear it upstairs. After yet another service call (#11 now and no salary replacement for me) the result is that Maytag says when the temp in the house is 67 or lower, the parts in their machine expand and contract and will make noise. No fix, no refund oh, and no one you can contact by email in Canada to help. Moral of the story, dont buy Maytag.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher MDB7749AWM1 in May of 2011. Yesterday, the on button would not work, so I called a serviceman out from Maytag. He said the whole panel needs to be replaced, parts and service will cost me $240.00. What a shame. 2 months out of warranty. I had two previous Maytag dishwashers, lasted for years with no problem. The newer models are junk, do not buy them! I can see by the other complaints that they had the same problem. They do not stand behind their product. I wonder how long the new panel will last? Im done with Maytag products!

I purchased this Atlantis dryer several years ago. To this day, I have replaced the rollers and drum three times. What a piece of junk! This will be the last Maytag I ever own.

Maytag dishwasher model MDB7759SAB, 1 year old and control panel will not work at all. Maytag site does not recognize model #, got part numbers off parts and cant find the parts. Looking for control panel, cant find black one and others are back ordered for weeks. After reading other peoples problems, it seems Maytag would correct the issue.

Washer Bravo MVWX655DW0 - Maytag has shipped the wrong part twice, sent me the right part which is faulty and the 4th one arrived today. I have not had a washer since 9-16 October 9, 2017. I am writing to tell you about my experience that Ive had with Maytag over the last 30 days. I have owned several Maytag and Amana appliances in the past; along with owning several currently. Over the years, weve had a wonderful experience owning these appliances however the last 30 days is one that has been unbelievable. On September 18 on a Monday early in the morning I called Maytag service line. I spoke to a young lady who had difficulties finding me in the system and did not know how to make an appointment to have a Maytag repairman come to my house to look at my washer. I did not take down her name as I thought and trusted that the company was acting on my behalf and would take care of me.I spent several minutes explaining to her that I did not live in Indiana that I lived in Iowa and that I would need a repairman who is close to my hometown. She continued to give me phone numbers with area code 407 in Indiana and then kept repeating some type of a ZIP Code 49 something for Indiana. I explained to her four different times that the zip codes in Iowa start with a five and the area code would be a 515 number in the area she was looking at. She finally gave me two phone numbers, one that did not work. I asked for a repairperson out of Jefferson. She told me Cranston Repair and gave me the phone number. She told me to call him. I told her that I would go with the Cranston repair since Jefferson with my hometown and it was close to where I lived.I then asked her if she would make the appointment. She told me she didnt know how to make the appointment and she kept messing up with the system. Not sure if it was her first day or not but that was fine so I said �€�never mind I will set the appointment up myself. I then asked her to double-check to see if our new Maytag refrigerator that we just purchased was registered. She told me she did not see it but all I needed to do was call back the next day with the model and serial number and anybody I spoke to on the phone could go ahead and get that registered. I thought I had registered online; I only wanted to double-check but she didnt see it so I assumed I did something wrong and then would make the call back the next day.I called Cranston repair and scheduled an appointment with the repairperson for the next day Tuesday, September 19. Repairman came the next day on time, looked at the washer and found that the transmission had gone out. I had purchased the washer just shy of two years ago. The repairman said that he would have to order the part and would let me know how long it would take and would return to fix the washing machine. He called from my house and was told that the part was on backorder until October 5. After the repairman left the house I decided to call Maytag back and express my disappointment in the product as Maytag says they stand behind their products and the fact that it was not even two years old and that a transmission would go out. The individual I spoke to this time, Antcwaniqua? Not sure about spelling, listened to my story. She also told me the part the repairman ordered was not correct.I needed part W1 1132267. She said that was a substitute part for the correct part that I needed which was W11035204. I told her that the part number ending in 204 we were told was on backorder until October 5. She said no, the part may show that in the system for repairmen but Maytag can locate the part in a warehouse, it would be shipped in 3 to 5 days. I told her that he had called a place in Davenport, Iowa. What she would do because of all the issues I was having was she would go ahead and ship the part out to me at no cost in 3 to 5 days.I wasnt sure about that warehouse thing. It didnt sound convincing but at that point I had to go along with it. What was shipped out to me was the substitute part W1 113-2267. At this point she told me that I would have to pay to have the part put in; I agreed to that on I want a new washer or I want my washer repaired within 72 hours at no cost. I have not had a washer for 3 weeks plus. Repairman in coming Friday and I am not confident that the 4th gearcase part that came today will work either.

This is the WORSE POS I have ever owned/used/etc.... our clothes are dirty, w/ a scummy film, really bad in most cases. Some have weird stain appear that werent there. Electric & water bills up. Have to always use deep water wash, double rinse. My clothes are wet when I put them in due to sensor fill (extra weight), also a zillion mesh bags. Clothes are getting trashed, faded so bad & smell bad. Having to use a cleansing product monthly, in one aspect, should encourage the engineers that signed off on this POS to change careers. Maytag customer service says no complaints have been filed!!! Horse **!!! $ 800.00, trashed, unclean, wrinkled to the point of almost needing to iron all your clothes. I have been going to the laundromat. Engineers should have been FORCED to use this machine at least 2 months.... good reviews my **.

We purchased a $500.00 Maytag dishwasher, Model #MDB7749SBW, in August 2013. In December 2014, a little over a year of owning it, the pump failed. We called Maytag and they had a service company come out and replace it. We paid $181.00 for this service call. In July 2015, the control panel failed so we called Maytag to see if they would replace it at their cost. All they are willing to do is to send another service guy out at our expense. The service call is $89.95 and that doesnt include the labor! The total with tax will be close to $200.00 again!!! Now we are getting close to spending $1,000 for this piece of junk! In addition, this dishwasher is only used three times a week because there are only two people living in our household. It is obvious after reading the other complaints that the control panels are defective and I am sure that Maytag is well aware of this issue. So, buyer beware. Dont even consider purchasing a Maytag dishwasher unless you enjoy watching your money flush down the toilet. They dont even deserve a 1 star rating!!!

Purchased Maytag Centennial Washer and Dryer (MODEL MVC300VWI) at Home Depot 3 yrs ago. After 6 months, washer started to rust. Maytag told us It was not their problem. A 6-month old washer should not rust! Poor quality + poor customer service. Dont buy!

Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... Having had a household for over 40 years we have had a few washers come and go. I hate to say it but this line of washers should go. Worst pile of junk parts I have seen. Bought it from Costco a few years ago based on past histories of Maytags. Was I ever so wrong. It has never worked well. I chalked it up to being Water Efficient but after reading over 8 pages of scornful reviews, I was mistaken. Water level is always too low to do anything so clothes are needing rewashed. Have reverted to using the Bulky setting to do general washing as that fills the tub about 1/4 of the way. Then the spin cycles stops due to unbalanced load and loud banging of the wash drum, EVERY LOAD!!! And now for the past month Code DL pops up saying it is taking too long to drain. I have checked all hoses for blockages, none seen. And with the glass top, you can SEE the washer NOT WORKING right. We have a door on the laundry room and even with it closed the volume is over 70 dB and can overpower most conversations in our family room 20 feet away. I have been told that Costco may take it back but why punish Costco members for a design failure of Maytag??? Has anyone thought about a Class Action Lawsuit? The Bravos Quiet Series 400 dryer match to this washer has so far been flawless. I may have to dig the 20 year old Whirlpool washer out of the storage shed to replace this Maytag. Sad. I want to state my true feelings but I will not use profanity here.

Maytag 2000 series front load washer - f you are looking for a front load washer DO NOT buy a Maytag! I purchased a new front load washer dryer set late 2013 and have regretted to washer ever since. Continual electrical problems, door gasket needed replaced almost immediately AND the worst part is that it has ruined over $1000 worth of clothing due to it trapping cloth between the drum and door and wearing holes in them. No matter how I load the clothes or sort them it continues. I have contacted Maytag and was told I have no recourse as the warranty is over. I was very disappointed because I have had Maytag products in the past and had no problems. Please, think twice before buying this washer! It will cost much more than just the ticket price!!!

Estamos totalmente satisfechos con nuestras lavadoras y secadoras Maytag BRAVOS XL desde el primer día. Su publicidad es correcta. Siga las instrucciones de limpieza periódica y todo irá bien. Me gustó la placa metálica de garantía de 10 años pegada al frente garantía limitada del microondas. ¡Esto no significa nada! Cubren la cavidad inoxidable del microondas (una parte que nunca se estropeará). El 3 de junio de 2014 se entregó este microondas. Día de Acción de Gracias, el microondas se apagó 30 de noviembre de 2015 esto fue reemplazado con GE Profile Modelo JVM3160RFSS por $ 178. El 30 de noviembre de 2015, el servicio de fábrica de Diamond estuvo aquí para el microondas. Pagamos $90 por la llamada de servicio. I purchased a Bravo Washer and Dryer from Home Depot. The Maytag Bravo washer and dryer we purchased from Home Depot did not work from the beginning. Before I called Maytag, I tried for several months to redo the way I was loading the washer and dryer.I tried several different settings however, the clothing keeps coming out smelling like it is still worn. Spots are in the clothing that normally comes out with a washing (with my prior washer). The clothing just does not get cleaned and it gets so tangled that it has ruined some of my clothing. There is clumping of the detergent, even though not a lot has been used.I had the repair company come out three times for both the washer and the dryer. They have checked and no errors codes where found. One gentleman told me again to redo the way I load the washer and the dryer. I have done it so many times, but I tried again and even purchased little dryer balls. It made no difference.I called Maytag again and was told they would have to have another company come in and do a second opinion. The person came and said that he agreed that the washer should be able to wash and the dryer should be working correctly. He recommended that a possible problem with the motherboard for the dryer (which was a possible problem mentioned by visit #2) could be handled, but he had to have it approved. He would check with the company and get back to me. I received a call the next day and a message was left telling me there is nothing he can do with the washer. He was told by Maytag/Whirlpool that I should only fill the tub lightly and not pack it down (I told everyone how I load and I never pack my clothing down). The washer should, when loaded with wet clothing, be only 1/3 to full otherwise it decreases the wash ability dramatically.The problem of the siphoning action for the softener section of the washer should be handled by running boiling water through the tube to loosen up the wax portion of the softener. The possible correction for the dryer exchanging the motherboard (it could be set incorrectly) was turned down by saying that the dryer is running to Maytag/Whirlpool�€�s satisfaction and nothing else would be done, since there are no error codes for both washer and dryer.My towels have a mildew odor to them when they are used. They have to be washed twice and run through the dryer a long time before I can put them away. I purchased a high capacity washer and dryer and I am told now not to fill it more then 1/2 full. That is not what I was told by the person selling it. Otherwise, I would not have purchased this set at all.

I had six service calls, one was a few months after purchase when under warranty for loud noise. I bought it in 08 and since then during the last 6 months, its freezing in the refrigerator. Service person is upset. I contacted corporate and they do not care and told me I should have bought their warranty. Yes, they had to be here when it was under warranty. Still freezing, they played with air hoses, replaced the temp panel and did everything they can, with no results. Theyre giving it one more try and it is going to be hooked up to the Silverado and put on I-75 with a sign on it. Do not buy from this company. Terrible service. I emailed CEO and no response. I just tossed a tomato and strawberry on the tile floor. Yes, buy American. They moved their plant from Indiana (union) to I think TN for non-union. Well, get what you pay for and the employees get what they are paid for. I work in the building business and everyone knows not to buy this product! Just throwing your money away. One good thing is if you like frozen beverages, this is the product to buy! Never again! Receipts in hand! Romney probably owns the stock! LOL

I will never buy this product again or anything with the Maytag brand. I purchased my washer less than a year ago and it makes all these awful noises. When called company they would not come fix it. Money wasted.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer in October of 2011, I had a repair man come to check it since the spin cycle sounds like a jet is revving its engines in the laundry room. He told me that the repair cost is $493.50 to replace the transmission. The machine also has problems with the circuit board. The lid lock goes on and off and on and off so you cannot run the machine. Speaking to Maytag they just kept saying your warranty is over and we dont offer any assistance on the repairs. The machine cost $530.00 in 2011 and they think its reasonable to have repairs more than the cost of a new washer. They said they had no complaints on the model. My repairman advised not to buy Bravo, Cabrio or Calypso models since they all have the same problem with the transmission and electronics. I think they should at least pay for the parts, the transmission is $300. And we didnt even price the electronic part of repair.

Maytag MBD7749SB - Compramos este lavavajillas por casi 800 dólares en Home Depot. Después de casi 1 año tuvimos que reemplazar el panel de control. The Maytag Bravo Washing Machine was sold as the top of the line. In reality it is very difficult to work with for three specific reasons. First, the spin speed is too high causing the clothes to be wound into tight balls causing pilling and the need to iron everything from t-shirts to workout pants. Second, the spin speed is so high that you can only put a few towels in the washer at a time or the machine goes off kilter several times a cycle. Finally, if you lower the spin speed the items take forever to dry. I used this for less than 30 days and tried to return it but Maytag would not take it back. The only cycle type I can use is the rapid wash unless I want to spend all day washing and drying one load. I hate this washer more than I can describe and will NEVER purchase another Maytag product. It absolutely ruins your clothes and Maytag takes no responsibility for making a very bad product.

So I get the matching set washer and dryer when I moved into my new house. I thought I was getting a nice set. I paid around $1600 for them with the sale they had going on. From day one the washer wouldnt get a full size comforter wet on the bulky cycle or heavy duty cycle. I even tried the extra rinse cycle on both as well. I would have stop it mid wash and rotate the comforter. Clothes wouldnt settle sometimes and would leave the top dry and bottom soaking wet. In the first year the lid latch started going bad. So sometimes you would go back to realize the load hadnt even started. Clothes dont get clean no matter what setting you use. It is the worst purchase Ive ever made. The dryer was ok until its almost second year. It just stopped drying it seemed. I cleaned EVERYTHING! No effect. It takes 3 full cycles at minimum to dry clothes. I cant understand why these machines arent pulled from the market or recalled because they are junk.

Never had a better washing machine, highly recommend this product: MVWC425BW. Saved plenty on water usage, no rust and no service issues after 6 months.

The Maytag Bravos washing machine (Model No. MVWB75OWQ1 Type 580) is the worst Ive ever owned. The low water level obviously is not sufficient to clean the clothes as the clothes come out still dirty. I pre-treat stains carefully and follow all of the directions and 9 times out of 10, my clothes come out with the stain still there. The clothes never smell clean. In fact, they have an odor. My t-shirts still have a smell of BO under the arms and some of my clothes still smell like my perfume. They just arent clean. I feel like we put our dirty clothes in this machine and they agitate around in a little pool of water for an hour and they come out still dirty. The machine frequently gets off balance and shuts down too. If I had the money to trash this one and go buy another one - Id do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately - Im stuck with this piece of junk until I can afford to buy a new one. This was a total waste of money and Maytag should be ashamed that they have not recalled it and given its customers a replacement option.

I purchased a Maytag dryer (MDE2400AZW) 2 years ago, but have only been using it for the last year - and fairly infrequently, as this is a dryer that my guests use. I called Home Depot where I bought the dryer (along with the washer). I thought I had purchased an extra warranty, but turns out I only had it on the washer - what was I thinking. I wish I had read these reviews before I made my purchase. My local repair man charged me $192.00 for a new heater and his time. Theres a whole 90-day warranty on the new heater!! I sure hope this one lasts more than a year otherwise Ill be buying a new dryer and it wont be Maytag.

It does not matter what mode you select, every single piece of clothing comes out a scrunched up wrinkled mess. I have to wash all clothing in bulky sheets mode because it is the only mode where the clothing actually gets submerged in the water. This washing machine is extremely loud and it is without a doubt, the worst purchase I have ever made. I have never written a review before, but this product is so horrible and frustrating. If I can persuade one person not to purchase one, I feel that I have done a good deed.

Hello, I bought the above top load Maytag washer last summer and shortly after purchase the spin cycle was accompanied by a load grinding noise. This became progressively worse per use and I contacted Maytag Canada. The experience calling is a challenge with often busy, and at times long waits. When I did get through on the line they were very good customer-service-wise and arranged for a local accredited company to attend my home and assess the problem. Service visit number one resulted in the lack of parts to fix, so I waited two weeks for the next visit with appropriate parts. Washer began to grind again, I called Maytag, another appointment was set, service call #2 again resulted in the SAME parts being replaced as service #1, and upon departure the washer immediately resumed grinding. Call #3 to Maytag and a 4th visit was scheduled to my home. This time with a different service provider, parts changed washer not fixed. Maytag called and this time I asked for replacement. Three weeks later I received a new washer. The version was updated so the drain hose no longer reached my drain pipe. Once sorted out, my first wash today with the new unit and GGGRRRIIINNDDDING.. I would not recommend this product. Will be calling Maytag again Monday.
