its a great machine, great choice of programmes,so very versatile it even has a special setting for a king size quilt!.youcan choose the temperature, the spin speed and the time of each wash,so in reality you can experiment till you find a common setting thats just right for you.it has a designed life expectancy of 20 years, its five years young already...young as it still looks like new,its quite a funky design and still looks modern, but as its all white...no garish colours here!,it looks great in our new kitchen.the only downside i can think of is the weight of the machine....boy is it heavy!.if it wasnt for the kindness of the man i bought it from i would not have got it in my car to bring it home, the £15.00 sack truck i bought from b and m was a real godsend.it does have a very usefull feature as at the front of the machine there is a pull out ring that turns a roller so one person can push/pull the machine in the kitchen/utility without damaging the floor.so in closing if you come back say in 15 years i maybe able to show that the designed life expectancy is accurate!.a great buy at £151.00 against the new price of around £900.i love ebay!.john.

Bought this machine 2 years ago, and there's no denying that it was the most expensive on the market! And I'd buy it again tomorrow! It has three settings for dirty laundry, up to "heavy", and I've never had to rewash a single item. It's not too noisy, and although the maximum spin speed is only 1400 (some brands go up to 1800), the 1400 of the Dyson actually equates to 1800 because of the huge size of the drum and the centifrugal force created (sounds good, don't it!). It has a duvet cycle, a handwash cycle, and I have never had a problem with the machine. The machine looks huge, but it's an optical illusion, perhaps caused by the double door, but in fact it does fit into a standard washing machine space. I have NEVER regretted the expense, or considered it too expensive for what it is - take it from me, this machine is THE BIZ!

After 11 years of constant daily use, with only three call outs for servicing, my dyson contractor has finally given up. Gutted just doesn't cut the mustard in how I feel. Why, oh why did Mr Dyson stop producing such magnificent washing machines.... I too would without hesitation buy another one if they were available. Very, very sad day for me.....

The most fantastic washer ever made. I brought a Dyson washer years ago & boy was it fantastic never ever let me down...never had to rehash items or even rinse them again. It really was my pride & joy & I would not hesitate buying another if Mr Dyson would start making them again. People say they were not worth the money...seriously!!! I brought an LG washer 3 years ago it cost me £100 more than what my Dyson washer cost & its a pile of rubbish. Its 11kg so its big & it plays a little turn at the end of the cycle....erm what else is good....nope nothing else. Ive had people out to fix it more than a dozen times.... I have to rewash clothes & have to rinse again because of soap powder deposits.......its rubbish!!!! Please Mr Dyson start making your washers again I don't care how much you charge...you never let me down even on my boys dirtiest clothes & with a disabled child constantly washing bedding & sicky items it was my saviour. In 5 years I called out dyson for 2 fixes & one was a simple drawer change.... I could only wish for that on the rubbish I have now..... I miss my Dyson she really was my saviour...
