I originally chose LG because of the price but over time it became a great brand that was totally worth it. I was expecting much less from LG but they far surpassed my expectations. I like the ice maker and smartphone functionality, its pretty nice. I can connect it to my phone, play music on it, pour the water to almost any temperature nearly instantly, open sections without touching it, and more. I like all of it, my refrigerator has so much functionality I couldnt imagine switching to anything else, except maybe the Samsung one. The price was good. The overall fridge is just perfect.

I had a high regard for LG prior to this experience. Indeed, we have many LG items in our home. Now, our refrigerator has failed with a known fault and is not yet being fixed. We had a service appointment today which they cancelled. Rescheduled for 3 weeks later. That will be a month with no refrigerator. We bought what we thought was a high end refrigerator and it has worked great for a short time, but then just quit cooling. LG has been less than exemplary on fixing it. This is a very bad move, company wise. I now have a totally negative impression of LG and any of their products. I will NEVER buy another LG product. I just dont trust them anymore. We have to wait a full month without a refrigerator to find out if our refrigerator will even be fixed. Last LG item of any kind I will ever buy.

LG GL-M522 GNSL-2015. I bought in May 2015 this fridge as I required a bigger one. But it is bigger just in terms of model specifications. In fact its designing is so poor that it does not fulfill my only requirement of more space to use. I am happy that I didnt sell my old small LG322 l fridge otherwise I couldnt put even a small size watermelon or a normal size jug in the fridge. At the time of purchase even its door sensor was also defective. When technician came, he told me you should take AMC of this fridge as its maintenance is too costly. Its PCB only costs Rs8500, service charges 680/-. I am very scared if I have to repair my fridge, what will I do.

I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) Bottom line I will never buy a washer with a direct drive inverter. In my opinion a washer with an agitator is best for getting clothes clean.

My top load washer blew up inside after using the machine for 5 years without an issue. I had registered the product and never received notice that the company had recalled the model I purchased. When I filed my recall claim LG had all my customer information, including my purchase price and old maiden name, but refused to process my recall until I could provide my own receipt. I went through days of searching and calling Home Depot and complained three times to call representatives that its unfair I have to jump through all these hoops when they already know the selling price to reimburse me for. They stated You have to reconfirm the price and prove thats what we owe you.Ive been without a washer for three weeks now and am out a hundred dollars in laundry costs. As well as $300 in lost clothes when the washing machine blew up and caught on fire inside. LG refuses to acknowledge these costs and the time Ive spent toting laundry all over. The nearest laundromat is 20 miles from my house. Simply refunding me my purchase price is a slap in the face after all Ive been through because of this machine literally blowing up and catching fire inside. My house smelled like electrical fire for almost a full two weeks.

Wash machine about a year old died. Most of the time the machine washed clothes for a single man with a white-collar job. So very little clothing once every couple weeks and certainly not soiled at all. Service took 3 weeks to show up and then told the machine is junk by LGs own serviceman and then told part to fix it is discontinued! On a 1-year-old machine? Then constant runaround from LG about a proof of purchase (which I do not have). The machine was purchased at Best Buy with a Best Buy gift card so no credit card or check or other means of proof. Best Buy says they cannot trace gift card purchases. The machine has a 10-year warranty and I only know this because LG told me I registered the machine with the serial number on October 10, 2017. THEY KNOW the machine was purchased and registered for the warranty! I didnt steal it! You cannot walk out of Best Buy with clothes washing machine hidden in your pants pocket! So they know when it was purchased and where it was purchased from. They (LG) have a record of all serial numbers and where they are delivered. Now they refuse to honor the warranty.

LRE3013ST - I was hoping to read that there was a recall on this particular stove because of the Intuitouch control panel. I seem to use the same burner on the left-hand side of the panel and noticed a crack in the plastic. Its only a few years old. Also after oven on for half hour or so it shuts off and FB appears on panel. Why do they make things like used to???

LGs customer service department is by far the worst company I have ever encountered. They have had repair company come to my house 3 times, not able to fix the problem. Had told me no part order was placed, the repair guy gave me invoice numbers for the parts order. The countless phone call to LG were a joke. Last one they tried tell me the the repair was cancelled, right after the repair company left my house. Tried the dryer and call them to tell them it still was not working. Asking for a supervisor and being disconnected twice, he told me the service provider was a third party. LG was the ones who set up the repair in the first place. I ruined over $400.00 worth of clothing, because LG told me to use time dry. Was not a good idea! I asked for a replacement and LG refused to condemn the dryer. I was put off, lied to, and had been given a run around by LG And had enough. I call Home depot. On the first call told me that they would make good on not only the dryer but the washer being that they were a set. Thank you Home Depot!!!!

We have only had this washer 6 years and when the display reads 10 it doesn’t go any further toward zero. It will run For about 20 minutes and then Give a UE error which is basically saying the load is not balanced. But if it is empty then how is it out of balance? Then you call for a service place to look at it and they want to charge $90 just to show up which forces most people to trying to figure it out on their own. Has anyone else had this same problem And could offer the remedy for it?

Be aware that the LG front end load washing machines model WM0642HW only last 5-7 years compared with top load washers 10-15 years. My wife & I made a major error by purchasing our first front end load washer that broke after 5 years. Previously for the past 30 years we have had 2 Maytag top loaders (15 years each). Specifically, the horizontal pressure on the wash tank bearings results in the failure of the bearings and the rotor assembly. These are parts that total nearly $100.00. However, the service requires at least 3-4 hours of repair, which is nearly $500.00. In summary, never purchase a LG front end load washer.

We were building a new house and when we were asking around for recommendations on refrigerators, LG was the brand people were recommending. We did have a washer and dryer that was LG, and we had a good experience with those. The refrigerator came with a counter depth feature. We had an awkward space we had to fit it into and I liked that it fit there and I havent had to worry about it. I had to make two warranty claims and both times, it was pretty easy to go through that process. I appreciated the service people that came and worked on the appliances cause they were professional and did a good job. I also didnt have to wait a super long time for somebody to come and help out. I would recommend LG.

Contacted LG Service Department on 07-01-13 Ref: Ice Maker. 07-03-13 Service Technician came out and ran a diagnostic on unit, determined that compressor was bad and had to order one. 07-06-13 9:20 PM Contacted service center and was advised that technician was due on Monday 07-08-13 between 8:00 AM and 12 Noon to replace compressor. 07-09-14 Contacted service center about noise coming from back of refrigerator. They advised that this was normal. 08-15-14 Contacted service center about noise coming from back of refrigerator. They advised that this was normal. Unknown date contacted service center concerning error codes “er rf” on display unit. Technician scheduled to come out on 10-01-14.10-01-14 Service technician arrived to check on noise and cooling issues. Coil and fan motor frozen with ice. As technician was removing inside grille to get to fan he broke the grille. He defrosted the ice from the fan motor and replaced the grille with one he had in his truck. Set temperature for refrigerator to +34 degrees and temperature for freezer to -1 degree. He wrote up the service ticked and charged $81.98 for the “Duct Assembly, Multi (item number: **)” that he broke plus the $120 for service call plus $4.34 tax on the replacement grille part. 10-06-14 Sent Fax to a ** in the Alabama location concerning telephone conversation in which he advised LG would reimburse me for the cost of the repair part plus the tax. Fax included cover sheet, two page service ticket and copy of purchase order from hhgregg.10-22-14 Called service center and after a 20 minute hold to verify my status, was advised that I should hear from Alabama around November 3rd. 07-10-15 Around 4:52 PM Eastern Time, called service center and advised them that freezer was not freezing (temperature was 62 degrees and rising) and that all food in freezer had spoiled. Furthermore, the refrigerator temperature was almost 70 degrees and food had spoiled. Additionally the unit was making a loud motor noise in the rear of the unit. After trying to explain the issue over and over again I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes and 26 seconds until I disconnected the call from my cell phone, but not before I had called the service center again from my house phone. It was only after I explained everything again that I was informed that the executive staff (supervisors) department closed at 5:00 PM and that I could not run the “Smart Diagnostic” over the telephone because all of the service technicians in their department had also gone at 5:00 PM, that I would have to call back tomorrow on 7-11-15. The service center advised me that the service warranty had expired and any service call would be $120.00 plus parts. This was mentioned on three different times during the call. I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.

I purchased this as part of a set in 2017. Its a black stainless steel gas convection range. My initial thoughts were that the control panel is extremely hard to push. They failed to put glass behind this so I have to push hard to get it to register. This is very annoying however it does work. Lately though, it has developed a new problem. The oven beeps saying it reached temp I put my food in. When I pull it out after the timer goes off, the food is cold! The oven fails to maintain temp. A 4 year old oven that is lightly used should not be having this issue! I have owned cheaper ranges and have never had issues like this, not even after 10 years or more. I am very disappointed with LG line of products.

The LG website doesnt work and you are unable to register a complaint there. To pre-treat a large cat urine stain on my daughters duvet and cover I poured apple cider vinegar on the spot. Then I put the washing machine on the bulky/bedding cycle, added some more apple cider vinegar, HE detergent and an hour later I put it in the dryer on bulky/bedding setting and chose very dry....twice! Thats an hour for the washer and 2 hours and 10 mins for the dryer. Not only is the duvet and cover still damp but the stain is still there. So tomorrow I am off to the Laundromat where I should have gone in the first place. There is no point in having a bulky/bedding cycle if the machine is unable to handle the load. I will never buy one of these top loaders again. The clothes are NEVER clean and I always have to choose a longer drying time. I feel that LG has misrepresented their product as energy saving!

Glass cooktop is very difficult to clean and keep clean. In order to clean, it is necessary to use a special Glass stovetop cleaner after each use. Dont like the dials on the front of the stove. This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer.
This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer. I purchased this washer 2 years ago. I was looking for the largest capacity that I could reasonably afford. I also wanted to save water. I was replacing an old agitator-type GE model that was still going strong after 17 years. Ever since I purchased this machine I have had problems with it giving the UE message (uneven load). Dont even think of using the capacity of this machine to the fullest. Anything above half-full will automatically cause UE messages. Anything bulky like towels or bedding will cause the UE message. Sometimes it gives the UE message for what seems like no reason at all. Basically Ive had to wait downstairs and babysit this machine to get it to finish about half of its loads. As for water savings, whenever the machine gets a UE message, it adds water to try to fix the problem, so any water savings are lost. I am amazed at the amount of water this machine uses. Here is the worst part. Recently while doing a load of laundry, the machine malfunctioned and would not stop filling itself with water. Thankfully I was down there cleaning otherwise I wouldnt have known and my basement would have been flooded. Something has gone haywire and the machine will not stop filling itself with water now every time I try to use it.I purchased the service warranty (something I normally never do) and called the service center and they cannot find a certified repair center anywhere near me (we live near Minneapolis/St. Paul). This afternoon I spent at the laundromat, and my $1,000 paperweight sits downstairs looking pretty. And, theres no one in the Twin Cities area who wants to work on these things apparently. Save yourself the money, time, headaches and stay away from this product!

I own a 4 year old LG refrigerator. The freezer section developed a crack in the inside plastic shell. LG warranty expires after 1 year on everything but the motor and compressor unit. Customer service explained that the inside plastic shell is not a replaceable part and it can only be repaired. Ive never seen anything like this on a refrigerator. I own a multifamily home. I have (2) other brand refrigerators that have never been serviced and are both about 15 years old. Stay away from LG!

I purchased stove on 17 August 2016, today as I was wiping off the stove top one with Dawn dish soap and soft dishcloth I noted that a spot on the coating of the center grate had peeled off. It looks as though it will spread. I have not used any harsh chemicals, cloths, or abrasive scrapers. I have only used the center grate ONE time. I called customer service and was told to call the parts people since my 1 year warranty had expired, I would therefore need to purchase a new grate! Also, the oven is almost impossible to clean. It requires repeated applications of water and now they recommend adding baking soda and repeat again for cleaning. This is a horrible appliance. Also purchased LG Refrigerator and Microwave. I can only imagine upcoming problems with them. Customer Service simply tells you what they cannot do. Do Not Buy LG products.

In-door features, online connectivity and support reminders lists, Alexa compatibility are features that I like about this refrigerator and the icemaker makes the most perfect ice cube in the most amazing shapes and sizes for the whole families choices. One of the main reasons I finally decided on an LG refrigerator was the sleek design inside and outside. It is purely beautiful in design and a very beautifully functioning machine. The pricing is the first major obstacle to ownership. The size of the refrigerator is another thought to consider for apartment dwellers. It is a large refrigerator but not overly cumbersome in design so it equals out.

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

This dryer is the biggest piece of crap. Anytime you put clothes in there it balls them up into a tight knot and continues to bounce them around without drawing them. About 9 months after purchase, our front load LG washer from Home Depot began to leave oil streaks on our clothing. It has ruined my curtains as well. I called the customer service number and each time, someone answered with a heavy accent. They gave me instructions on how to rid myself of the problem. Nothing worked! Finally, when I called to have someone come out, they told me I was no longer under warranty. How is it that we can spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on a product and the manufacturer can only stand behind it for 12 months? Am I supposed to replace my washer every 12 months? I guess so, if I purchased an LG!

Went to Lowes where I bought my LG refrigerator to buy a replacement filter and they said everybody was out of the water filter I needed. Sick of this, they told me the same story last year. They ended up giving me one of their filters from a demo on their floor after I insisted they do so. Im telling everybody NOT to buy LG cause of this problem. Model No. LFX31925ST/06 is the LG Refrigerator I have. This really sucks. If I had know this fact about LG not being able to replace filters for their refrigerator in a timely manner I would have never bought one. I purchased the top of the line Steam Front Loader approx. 3 years. ago. My wife and I are the only two that have used this washer, so it was taken care of and cleaned after every wash. I am a Machinist and work on much larger machines, so I know my medals. My wife put a normal size load in and the machine started shaking and smoking. We turned it off and opened the door and smoke filled the room. I contacted LG and explained it to them. They told me to take the machine apart and send them pictures. I did. Man was I shocked to see the cheap metal they use in their machines. It was so corroded, rusted, and full of mildew. When I went to pick up the part it broke into, in my hand. I didnt use any force on it whatsoever. With the RPM these machines put out, if we would have left it on, and it broke someone would have been badly hurt or even worse. I learned my lesson from LG. They do not service what they sell, they dont return phone calls, they will lie to you in a heartbeat. I also learned to read reviews before I purchase again... NEVER ANOTHER LG. I have learned most people that write reviews tell it the way it really is.

Let me start by saying that their linear compressor is garbage and warrantied for 10 years after purchase date! I purchased my refrigerator in April of 2012. July 26, 2017 refrigerator stopping cooling. The compressor has died after 4 years and their approved service technicians have yet to get a compressor to run in my refrigerator. 1st company has come out 4 times to install the said compressor. I paid $350 to get it serviced to no avail. Not once has the compressor been operational after 20 minutes. It shuts done as the technician drive away. 1st company said it is junk and is all done. The 2nd company that came out that LG sent. Said the compressor needs to be replaced, he cant do it because he said, he wasnt certified. So we waited an extra week so a certified tech was to come out (today Sept 6, 2017, the date they stated) we called and they are not coming, stating that the refrigerator was junk. LGs response was that they provided the part and that’s it. I guess it doesnt need to be operational. Ive been without a refrigerator for over 6 weeks, thinking and waiting for that customer support that does not exist with LG. LG people were more than rude and unhelpful with every call. Buyer beware LG doesnt back their warranty. LG gave us a case number and made us think they would have help in some way but today’s response was priceless. They are done because they provided the part. Make the part operational. They should back their products and not get away with taking advantage of consumers. They (LG) should be acceptable!! $3000 plus $350 repair, down the drain!!

It preheats but after you put the food in it begins to stop heating ending up taking 90 minutes for 15 minute rolls. Ive had repair come out 3 times but they say thats how it is supposed to be. Meanwhile I have to stand there and monitor it, waiting for it to quit heating. I have lost hundreds of dollars in meat and food. No recall or help, just a very expensive crap shoot. Ruined thanksgivings, many dinners, with raw meat. I asked to return it before the warranty expired 3 times -- they wouldnt do it. Never buy this appliance. We bought a new LG Top Load Washer and it started to leak water from the bottom. I called LG because it was under the manufacture warranty. We have had the repair people out 5x already and each time they have failed to fix the issue. I have called LG several times to explain that is has been a MONTH with no washer and that I have an immuno-compromised child that needs clean clothes. I cannot bring the clothes somewhere to do them because they could become contaminated and make my child sick. LG customer service has not been any help in resolving the issue. They continue to say that they will send the repair people out again and will not replace the machine. If the repair people could not fix it in 5 tries and a month later, then LG needs to replace the lemon of a washer they manufactured. I have a sick child and they have no consideration for that. I called Home Depot where I bought the machine and an extended warranty, but they cannot do anything because they have to wait until the manufacturers warranty runs out! I will never buy any LG products again!

I checked my email and there is no email from LG. I called again and told me, We cannot send you the bin cause your warranty expired. There you go more lies from LG.Thats after they told me they had no problem sending me one courtesy bin to my home. Still nothing. They wasted my time on the phone and lying to me. Some of their product are cheap. They are plastic and break so easily and are very fragile. They treat their customers bad and they really dont care from the way their employees treat the consumers. From my experience do not buy from LG. They treat you horribly and they lie to their customers. They are people you wouldnt want to do service with and they need to improve their products. I paid over 1,500.00 for a LG refrigerator LFC23760ST just three years ago. Its the last time I will ever buy LG products again. They carry just a 1 year warranty and will charge me an arm and a leg to replace any parts that I need. The circuit board went out and I was told that its $400 dollars just for the parts to fix it. Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

New 2018 LG set top load stacked set - $2500. Washer shakes at spin & dryer shakes because of it. There is something metal in the dryer slamming against metal when all of this occurs. LG won’t fix this — under warranty!!! This repair takes 2 hours - they want me to pay for this flaw. To top it off our clothes smell like a moldy wet dog - from a few months of owning I can smell my husbands “clean” t-shirt across the room. Oh yeah add vinegar, bleach, leave door open, drain the drain, buy expensive tablets to clean every week, run a clean cycle - and use tons of water doing that. Save water? Not now. LG you need to step up your repair game & fix these things.

I purchased my LG dishwasher on april 11, 2015. I did not purchase an extended warranty as LG was supposed to be a high end appliance company and felt the product would not require service right away. However, I was wrong. One week after my 1 year purchase date, the dishwasher had an oe error code flashing one morning, which I did not know what that meant. So I continue to use it and instead of running at night while sleeping I decided to run before we went to bed. The dishwasher when first starting had a loud grinding noise, which sounded like it was trying to take off and start flying.I went online to find that this is a problem with the dishwasher and the company does not back their warranty. I started a chat at 8:38 to resolve the issue and remained on the chat until 10:52, with no resolution. I then called the company direct. Spoke with a rep and a supervisor, both of which informed me my dishwasher had no warranty. Only after I had to contact Sears, get a duplicate receipt, upload it to them and they reviewed it. Since I got a discount on my dishwasher due to the door having had swirl marks on the front it voided any extended warranty. Therefore, I like many others will have to pay a serviceman to come repair my dishwasher that I purchased just over a year ago. I would tell anyone looking for any type of appliance. Do not buy LG anything!!! Their customer service is awful and their warranty is ridiculous.Update 5/13/16: I received from LG names and numbers of authorized repairman in our area. Called their repairman, was told by them Oh, maam, you are not in my service area. So, therefore, I have no one to service my dishwasher.

My 4.5 yr old side by side LG stopped cooling sometime Sunday. I had purchased an extended warranty. (Customer service is not what it used to be.) Called the warranty company and left a message Sunday night. Waited all day Monday for a call back. Can you hear the crickets. Short story, didnt get anyone on the phone till Tuesday and was told an appt. was set for Wednesday morning. But I should call the service provider to confirm. Three phone calls and an email later I get a response. Tech arrived Wednesday afternoon. Then tells me, after checking my fridge that I need a new compressor. And that the reason he was late is because he just replaced a compressor on another LG fridge. I thought he might have one in his truck, but no. I would have to be ordered and another appt. would have to be made. I have owned 2 other brands in the past and only replaced them after 15 or more years and I have never had a compressor replaced. Now that the kids are long gone and we decide to buy more expensive appliances, we find that expensive is not synonymous with reliable. BTW LG dishwasher repaired twice in 5 years.Going back to the old yet faithful brands.

I saw the LG refrigerator on the store and it was a good size for this particular model. My parents have LG as well. So, I ordered it online and so far, I like the size of it. It has two different store options, but it’s a big room. Also, I dont like the smart inverter technology that it has. It turns off a lot more than it’s supposed to, so the temperature goes up and the cycling of the temperature is probably more than it’s supposed to. The refrigerator goes warm inside and the cooling kind of cycles on and off to save energy. But then, it goes too warm before it cuts off to go back to cold.

This WT5075CW washer is completely useless. I am going to have to replace it, and I have only had it a little over a year, but I cant take it anymore. It gets unbalanced on the spin cycle for no apparent reason. I only was like weight and size clothes together. I rearrange the clothes when it gets unbalanced and then restart. It starts filling with water again and stops unbalanced again. I try the Spin Only cycle. Same thing. I was the same loads every week and it is completely random as to which load will have this problem. Last week, it was the delicates – how can they cause an unbalance???!!! I am left with an entire load of sopping wet clothes that I have to drain over the top of the washer, hang out on the patio until the dripping stops and then dry in the dryer for over an hour. I called my BrandsMart extended warranty repair team out and they said that is how the washer was designed and charged me $60.

We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.

LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on
LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on at all. I figured it was the cord, got pulled or something of that matter. I called to inquire on warranty and set appointment for repair. The place it was purchased gave me the number of the repairmen and the repairman showed and said he was not certified to work on LG, call Sears. So, I called Sears and they offered a warranty that would cover all repairs and services for $274, actually $300.00 after tax. They set a 2nd appointment, they show and tell me that $900+ in repairs and I only have $500.00 worth of coverage. I questioned the repairman that warranty was to cover all repairs/pans underneath and the ice maker, which is funny because it is not hooked up to water for ice. I guess he has some spirit that will tell him and guess what, it needs a new cord. I had Sears email the so called extended warranty. It only covers $500.00 toward repairs, or $500 credit at Sears, or I can have my $300.00 back. Wow, this is service that says to the consumer, I will sell a warranty that sounds great but the actual warranty covers LG for selling a $2,000.00+ fridge that is only worth $500.00 maybe and that is only when it is under 2 years old.

I ignored the reviews that said the front load washer leaks. LG will not cover the leaking door in the WARRANTY. It’s a handsome machine, looks great, washes well - but have a rag, sponge, or mop handy because the DOOR LEAKS. MY WASHER IS 6 months old. We have done around 8 loads of wash. We are a couple with no children yet, so we dry clean most of our clothing and have little to wash. The first time it leaked I thought it was a fluke. The second time I ignored it. This machine is pricey and for the money, you should get a PERFECT MACHINE! I am warning people to read reviews then ask a few sales people if the door leaks and they will tell you, YES IT LEAKS. IF THEY SAY IT DOESNT, GET IT IN WRITING! Until LG deals with this problem, they shouldnt be allowed to sell this washer. The puddle gets bigger with each load. I wonder when the floor will be covered with water. We clean the door, the rubber gasket and dont pack clothes into it. Our other front load washer by a different manufacturer does not leak and we have had that pair at our summer house for eight years with no problems. Dont waste $1000 Dollars on a machine that leaks because Home Depot and LG will not help you. LIFE’S GOOD WHEN YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING AND IT WORKS!

So disappointed. I always wanted a modern fancy washer and dryer with the round windows. I thought this was something really special. I just bought a new home and decided to treat myself to the new LG washer, dryer, and mini washer. Model #s PRODUCT # WM3670HRA, PRODUCT # DLEX3370W, PRODUCT # WD100CV. Day One, I washed my first load. Put my clean sheets on my bed. While in bed noticed a rough patch like DRIED SOAP. Hmmm. So I washed it again the next day and this time watched through the ROUND WINDOW. Noticed there was NO WATER to speak of, just a little dirty puddle, not enough to wash one foot. And then the rinse cycle, if you can call it that, same dirty puddle not enough to rinse a foot. Call LG customer service. All my fault. Oh our washers are state of the art, scientifically superior to wash clothes with very little water. And the King has no clothes. Finally checked out REAL reviews and heard the same story I experienced OVER AND OVER AND OVER. So DAY NINE, after washing several loads, water left in washer and mini washer, 1 hour 15 minute to wash a load I WENT BACK TO HOME DEPOT AND RETURNED ALL OF IT. Purchased a real washing machine GE. Thanks but no thanks. Youve been warned. Purchase at your own risk!

My wife and I purchased the LG top load washing machine with the Smart Drum. Trust me - it is anything but smart! Constantly goes UE (uneven). You have to constantly monitor it or it will waste tons of water and electricity trying to fix the UE all by itself, usually with failed results. I have no idea why washing machine engineers have no idea how to keep a drum from spinning off balance. A couple of rollers or a track at the top would fix the problem for any washer. Idiotic to me.

Our LG fridge is about 5 years old and it has died. I can understand that things can go wrong but the customer service at LG is terrible. They are extremely rude! We have had to take two days off work and it still isnt fixed. We were told the freon leaked out and the company had to address this problem. We spoke to several people at customer service and they were nasty. We have been without a fridge for two weeks and there is no end in sight. We are starting from scratch and have to be home between 10-2 tomorrow for a second service person to come out. They arent going to fix it! Just look at it! So we will likely have to take a third day off work if we are lucky enough to get anyone out to actually fix it. My husband was just recently diagnosed with cancer. The tumor is causing lots of pain. Ice packs help a bit but of course we have no way to keep them cold. This has been a real hardship! I would never buy another LG product. They have no respect for their customers and do not stand behind their products.

LG Sensor Dry - The plastic frame on the lint screen never fit right, clothes get caught on it and spin around each other and stretch out of shape. I had to hang dry any tank tops and anything with spaghetti straps. I just dried a load of clothes and 3/4 of the load came out in one large twisted heap -- 3 pairs of dress pants, 6 shirts, two pairs of sweat pants which were worn once and one nightgown is totally stretched, ripped and ruined. If you are considering buying LG dont!!! We also own the partner front loading washing machine and it is ruining our water pipes. Weve lived in this house for 20 years and never had to get pressure relief valves before to stop the hammering in the pipes caused by this washing machine. Life may be great for this company, but they should change the name of this company to LS -- life sucks!!

They fully aware that I have no cooling system and they dont even care. Why did LG agreed to replace the system in the first place when fully aware that they will hold the consumer hostage by delaying the product delivery. I have 4 kids. The temperature outside has been in the high 90s and they refused to send me the parts that is needed. Even though I was told they wont pay for the labour, Im ok with that but at least send the parts that was covered under the warranty. Im tired of calling their unprofessional customer services again. Fridge stopped cooling so we called LG on July 23. They made an appt for their service contractor Lake Appliance on Friday July 26. I called Lake to inquire if they had parts and they said they have typical parts on the truck. When they arrived, Lakes service technician checked and confirmed it wasnt working, and that they needed a part which wouldnt be there until the following Friday Aug 2. On Aug 2 he installed the part and did some other work to clear out the cooling system, but 24 hrs later it was not cooling at all. Room temperature. He said that they would need to get a new evaporator coil which would take a week, so we would need to wait until Monday Aug 12. I called Lake to see what could be done, they said there was nothing they could do -- they need the part and to get the technician scheduled. Called LG next day (Sat) to see what could be done, they said nothing could be done. I asked the LG rep for a manager and they said the manager was in a meeting and would call me back in about 45 minutes. I finally called them 2.5 hrs later (they never called) and was informed that there is no manager working that day at all, they only work Mon-Fri. I told them that was odd, that there is no supervisor working that day at all, because earlier they told me the manager would call me back. So, here we are on Mon Aug 12 and Lakes technician called in sick. So I need to wait until Fri Aug 16 now. 3-1/2 weeks without a fridge, and I am not convinced that replacing the evap coil will fix the problem. Extremely disappointed in LG and their service company. First LG fridge I have purchased and expected better.

In November 2007, I bought a beautiful, shiny, black French-door refrigerator (model LFC25760SB). In the last 1 1/2 year, it is slowly falling apart. The wide sliding tray cover falls off every time you open it. The digital sensor control has separated from the roof about 1 1/2 inch, blocking all products when using top shelves. This has caused the malfunction of the temperature controls. It has also caused the plastic clear cover snap out of place. Not to mention, it warped from the heat of the light bulb. I have replaced it twice! Now, the rubber stripping is shredding apart at the top, making opening/closing the doors near impossible. I bought this product, replacing a nice GE side-by-side refrigerator I bought in 1989 that was working perfectly! I was just sick of it and wanted a newly updated appliance. Lets just say this - I am pissed at Best Buy and LG for selling the worst piece of crap I have ever owned. I wont even get into the problems I had when 2 incompetent employees delivered this useless ice box! You, people at LG, are nothing but lying, cheating thieves who pray on hardworking Americans! I will never ever buy from you again! When this refrigerator finally has died (which will be shortly), I will go back to GE and get a reliable product. Your products are junk!

I purchased this door-in-door refrigerator October 2017, for my new home, at Home Depot. The store was my salvation in trying to get service for this unit as the right french door was 1 higher than the left, and the cooling fan made a high pitch whining noise whenever it kicked on. Sounds easy right? NOT! LG Service Center is a call center of sorts with questionnaires they read from, despite being told of the exact issue. 15 min later still nowhere. Model LMWS27626S, Production Date was Feb 2021. Bought on March 21, 2021 from Home Depot and was delivered almost a week later. 3 Days ago, noticed water began to accumulate down in the freezer section... Simply put, the fridge stopped working. Just today the technician dispatched by LG showed up and after performing his diagnostics, he told me that both the Main Board and The Compressor are bad and theyll need to be replaced. Imagine a 3 Month Old Appliance from the date of production going bad and to think weve only had this in our home for 4 weeks. This experience just gives me no confidence in the LG Brand at all, yes they are nice on the surface but trash in the inside. Now well be out of a fridge for the next week until the parts arrive. At this point I dont even want to keep this appliance in my home because I know it will break again. Luckily I bought an extended warranty but even so, no amount of warranty will bring the confidence back towards this brand.

LG LMX225964 French Door refrigerator - I wish I could rate this product as a minus 100. I have never made a worse appliance purchase and will NEVER buy LG again. This French door refrigerator is less than 6 years old (purchased from BrandsMart) and for the last 1 1/2 years Ive received Error IF every couple of months. This means the ice maker fan is frozen (AGAIN) and I have to remove all food from the refrigerator and freezer, put it in the garage refrigerator, and thaw out the unit. Although this process is reminiscent of an older, simpler time it is more than aggravating. I would replace the ice fan assembly but that part is no longer available and there is no replacement part (so much for making repair parts available for 7 years). LG lost a large class action lawsuit on a number of models having a similar problem, but alas my model was not included. (The law firm that handled that case is Callahan, Thompson, Sherman Caudill LLP, http://ctsclaw.com.) This may be the weekend I finally test-drive the sledgehammer on this poor excuse of a refrigerator.

Our new (under 2 year old side by side fridge/freezer) stopped cooling. I tried doing the smart diagnostic app and it said it was working fine. I tried to make sure doors were sealing fine, they were. I called LG. They said it might of done an auto defrost. I was told to unplug it and it would reset it that temp would return to normal in 12 hours. We woke up the next day to a flooded floor. All food in freezer was defrosted. Refrigerator was at 65*. I did the smart diagnosis again. It said it was fine. Called LG and sent them the diagnosis and they said to unplug and wait 6 hours. I lost all food and temp Kept dropping. I was told to put food in coolers. Most was trashed. I was told they could send a repair person in 2 weeks!!! I did the best I could with food in coolers but lost it all. LG was not helpful.A repair person came out earlier than quoted and it seemed to be working (known compressor failure) yet now temp is plummeting again. At this point I just want a full refund to buy a new non LG fridge. I’m hoping temp increases, yet I just emptied ice so hopefully if it fails it won’t ruin my new floor. I just bought food to replace the food lost. I have no other fridge at my home. 4 days and it’s not working again. I have had nothing but trouble with my LG fridge (model LFC2525765ST). Ive had the same problem over and over since purchasing it in 2011. Well sort of, it started off with a blown bulb in the fridge. Then...well. They come out, fix it, then something else. The temperature keeps dropping and I keep losing my food. LG will not replace the fridge and I keep losing food. Their $250.00 check does not replace all that I have lost or what I have to spend on take-out while they diagnose the same problem again and again and then have to wait for them to order new parts, then set up a new date to come in and fix it. What is my relief when this company comes in to (seemingly) rebuild my fridge? Shouldnt they have to replace it when they have to keep repairing a 3-year-old fridge? I have a warranty and believe me, Ive needed it practically every year Ive had it. Somebody please help me with this, Im tired of losing my food. Im tired of wondering if I will have something to eat when I open the fridge door. With this current incident, its been going on since the beginning of January 2015. And the problem still hasnt been resolved. They put in a new part and the repair charge (not to me) was $335.32. It started working then it stopped and that weekend, so called the company again but cancelled because it started working again. A repairman called me and said give it 24 to 48 hrs to regulate itself (this was a Monday, I called on that Friday before but cancelled on I believe that Sunday). Then it happened again on a Thursday (Thursday seems to be the day of breakdowns). I called for repair service on Friday and as usual, had to wait until Monday for service to be set up. They always end the call with,We are here for you 24/7, but how? Since they cant do anything on a weekend. And I was told they would put in an emergency call for me. I expected someone to come on Monday but no, they called to set up an appointment on Monday. So had to wait again. Who knows what the next part will cost that is coming in on 2/16/15. Oh yeah, this is the same problem from January. This is the third time Ive had to shop, but I buy a little at a time now because I lost all my food from the last two shopping trips thinking the problem had been resolved (silly me). I had already sent in a food loss form. Dont think Ill be reimbursed for the last two mistakes I made buying food. I asked for another food loss form but still waiting. And Im waiting to hear about the one I already turned in. Wow... Oh, by the way, the first time they delivered my fridge, they had to take it back and bring another one because it was defective. Should have taken a hint then. It was purchased from HHGregg BRANDYWINE PKWY 19803 on 11/08/2011.

Purchased this unit in Feb. 2011. Eight months later the ice maker quit. LG replaced it. 6 months later it failed again, this time on me. Two months later water supply to ice maker froze and pushed the water line out of the back of the unit, wet floor, ruined ceiling and wall in basement. 4 months later, water solenoid failed in the open position, filled the freezer with water, large block of ice and ruined food. Two weeks ago noticed the freezer was frosting up bad. Found that the freezer fan was not working. Ordered new motor. This is by far the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned and was the most expensive one! The tines constantly collapse and allow the dishes to tip over. The soap dispenser door is tricky to get closed. Sometimes it wont dispense at all. If the door does come open usually only half the soap is dispensed. It doesnt clean anything. We practically wash every dish before loading, and when you go to unload, half are still dirty. The upper rack will not hold any sized glass or cup well. They constantly tip over. Bought this DW because the guy at Home Depot told us it was the top of the line... it was the most expensive. It looked awesome, and seemed to have great features. We spend near $1000 on it. If you like to wash your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, and again before you put them back in the cupboards... This is a great dishwasher. Nothing seems to fit in any of the many racking configurations. If I ever win the lotto, Im taking a sledgehammer to this thing, it is by far the worst appliance I ever bought. I will NEVER buy anything LG again.

I have a front loading washing machine, bought 3 months ago. There were soaking wet clothes water all over my floor, too much to mop up. I have called customer service 3 times about this machine, model # WM2240CW. They gave me two numbers to call. It will take a week to have someone come out to look at it. Meanwhile, I will spend my day off of work cleaning up all the water. The worst part is I have called twice before.

I have an LG Washer Model WM0532HW, purchased at Best Buy on June 2004 for $1,000. It just needed $400 in parts and 3 repair service calls for an additional $225. I called LG customer service to ask if they would pay to replace any parts since I had 3 failed parts at once and they were of no help at all. They would not even let me speak with a supervisor. This is a very expensive machine with expensive replacement parts. I could have gotten a new machine if Id known the extent of the part failures.

This washing machine was here when we purchased our condo. It has a stainless drum. I probably would have skimped on a washer if purchasing myself. However, since inheriting a washer of this quality, I have become a believer!

Purchased a BRAND NEW Kenmore Elite 2014. Within 6 months, had a frozen drain which froze up the food in the refrigerator part. It was under warranty, so fixed without cost. I lost food though. In Jan 2019 the evaporator, compressor and dryer broke!! It would have cost close to 1,000.00 to fix, so I bought a service contract with Sears, monthly cost of 50.00 to cover all the new appliances I had purchased from Sears. It still cost 99.00 for the diagnostic. I lost food again!!! Now July 10, 2019 the evaporator broke again, not even 7 months old and again I LOST FOOD!!! LG you owe me for all the food I lost, in addition to lost time at work to be home so the repair people can FIX MY LESS THAN 5 YEAR OLD REFRIGERATOR.

We purchased this washer from Lowes late June 2015. I could not believe this washer was doing such a poor job and tried different things to make it work: smaller loads, bigger loads, use of different programs, temperatures, detergents, use of Laundry+System, loading in a way that would leave an empty space above the core of the machine... By the time I was finished trying anything I could think of, the 30 days I had to return the washer were gone and I had to keep this totally inefficient machine. This item has been nothing but a perpetual frustration. It rinses clothes with soap, it does not wash. We have two little ones and any food or material sticking to fabric turns in a wet gooey texture that get intertwined in the fabric, becomes very hard once dried and impossible to remove. Adult clothes are not washed better. I never had such bad whites, even using chlorine. I regret having purchased this machine. I regret even more having tried to make it work. With 4 to 6 loads a week, its a permanent frustration.

I purchased a refrigerator at Sears under the Kenmore Elite brand 5 1/2 years ago which was manufactured by LG. The compressor was replaced about 3 years ago and this past weekend it failed again. I contacted LG who are unwilling to do anything about it where it was a Kenmore product but if I had purchased it elsewhere the compressor would be covered for 10 years. I would not recommend purchasing these refrigerators as we have nothing but problems with it since we have had it.

I purchased this LG Top Loader washer in October 2010 along with the extend
I purchased this LG Top Loader washer in October 2010 along with the extended service agreement. From the beginning I had nothing but problems, I got the UE code often, it would run the rinse cycle over and over, clothes ended up in a knot, etc. The service company checked it, said the legs needed balancing and it was fine, NOT FINE! Finally the recall happened and after fixing it, everything was WORSE. Every load was UE, the timer wouldnt advance, all the issues I have read about here. The service agreement sent someone out who was here 1 minute and said this was an LG issue and they would call me back. No call back, numerous calls to LG who opened a case at my insistence at a replacement. LG said they would get back with me in 7 to 10 days, which didnt happen. Set up another appointment with service contract, took the morning off work, and guess what a NO SHOW!!! I suggest everyone with these problems call Consumer Affairs (the government agency listed on our recall letters), I lodged a complaint there and was seriously considering joining one of the class action lawsuits about this fiasco! Service company said I had to have one more service call before they would consider the machine a LEMON, so I insisted it NOT be a third party vendor, but an actual LG repair person. This person called me to let me know when he would be here, had a LG shirt on, and after one minute said the recall fixer only did half the job, not to worry he could fix it. He said some of the vendors LG hired to do the recalls only replaced the software and then didnt do the proper programming. He proceeded to replace the rotors, the motor and finished programming the software. It did work! Not perfect as my clothes are more wet than I would like, so I have to run an extra spin cycle sometimes, but I am not getting the UE error codes, and able to use spin only cycle without water dumping in! He said dont use the cotton/normal setting, use casual and if washing towels wash 4, not only 2, and better to do bigger loads than small. The machine has a hard time sensing light small loads. I still would never purchase an LG large appliance again, or certainly this big fancy machine if I knew small light loads would be an issue, and certainly will not purchase an extended service agreement! So, moral of the story... INSIST on an actual LG repair person, even when dealing with the extended service company.

Purchased LG side by side bottom freezer 24 cf refrigerator in Jan 2015, main control board went out within 3 month, fixed under warranty. Fast forward 3 years compressor went out. Had to pay labor. LG service backed up 3 weeks. Currently refrigerator compartment not cooling. Less than 48 degrees. Down since 6/21/20 had not been working right for a while. It was making drilling sound. Replaced a fan 7/1. Sound stopped. Its still not cooling. I have been waiting for more parts since tech came back out on 7:14. This was third visit. No one will talk to me at LG. This is a defective product and I have received no response from LG at all. Should not be down for 5 weeks. I have asked for their help 5 times with calls and three emails. I have had no customer support at all. I am Very frustrated and extremely disappointed in their lack of concern. They manufactured and sold a defective product and have offered no resolution or even acknowledged my complaint I have had a horrible experience to this point.

We purchased our first LG Dishwasher in September of 2018. Within a few months it quit working. Had a repair company come out and replace the control panel. The repairman told us that these Dishwashers are known for bad control panels, because they get wet... What? Its a Dishwasher, of course it gets wet. Here we are again less than 2 years old and wont power on again, obviously another control panel. We are out of warranty and out of luck! Horrible.

Updated on 05/10/2019: Where do I start! First of all, I stand behind my comment to stay away from LG! I have my 1st replacement compressor after 3 service calls and guess what?? It DOESNT WORK!! Keep in mind it has taken over 3 weeks to get this far with a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old! Id like to say that I am surprised! 48 hrs after the repair with a bottle of water in the refrigerator and a bottle in the freezer, neither are cold let alone frozen. LGs response was.... What is the temperature of your refrigerator? Are you kidding me? I just told that it wasnt working and that is the response I get?Needless to say I am still waiting to hear what the next steps are because I was told that I dont qualify for a new refrigerator. There is a process that they will not elaborate on that needs to be followed and apparently it starts all over again with what is the temperature of your refrigerator.... WOW!! It is absolutely ridiculous! It should start with... I am so sorry for the issues this is creating and we will put a rush on another replacement compressor and schedule a new service date for the install immediately. Then it should be proceeded by... If we are unable to fix the issue we will STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCT AND REPLACE IT!!! I think they need to take an ethics class and learn how to handle their business. RUN!! STAY AWAY FROM LG REFRIGERATORS!! Personally, I will never buy ANY LG product again.Updated on 04/27/2019: I am on round 2 of trying to get the faulty compressor replaced with a new faulty compressor in my LG refrigerator. Oh yes... I said it!! They know the replacement compressors are faulty and are continuing to install them and forcing people to deal with their unethical business practices!! They were supposed to replace the pathetic compressor on the first appointment but chose to lie to me and schedule a diagnostic first even though I had already agreed to pay for the repairs on the off chance it wasnt the compressor. Thats completely impossible by the way with all of their known compressor issues. The part that makes me extremely angry is the service tech had a new compressor in his truck but was unable to install it unless it was sent by LG specifically for my job or he would not be paid for the repairs. Now I get to sit and wait for an undetermined amount of time until someone in their scheduling department decides to call me back to schedule the next appointment. I even tried to schedule the appointment directly with A & E (who LG uses for repairs) and they cannot help me until LG does their job even though EVERYONE KNOWS that the compressor is bad! This is absolutely the most horrifying thing I have ever heard of and a class action lawsuit could not be more fitting for this type of behavior! I will never buy another LG product and have made it a mission to tell everyone I possibly know how unethical they are and to stay away from their products!! This type of behavior will end up destroying this company and they deserve it!Original review: They know they have a compressor issue with my model of refrigerator and have already been to my house once to replace the ice maker. My refrigerator is also less than 2 years old! Now, they will not even schedule a repair without the serial number (which they should already have from the previous repair) and could care less that I am without a refrigerator and have water all over my floor not to mention that it has ruined everything in my refrigerator and freezer! To say I am unhappy would be an understatement!!!

Our dryer failed during a run, and would not power back on. I checked the circuit breaker and the plug, and unable to restart the unit, I placed a service request with LG. Over the past month I have experienced nothing but frustration and disappointment from LG customer service. I have been given inaccurate information, been repeatedly told to expect a call back or email about service status, but the only communication I have had with LG is when I have initiated contact. Please note that because I have two children, one of whom is still out of school because of the pandemic, the only times I can call when the 800 number is operating is on W and F when I am commuting to/from onsite days at my job. Below is a detailed timeline of my experience:Th 4/15. Dryer breaks during run. Test fuse, power line, reset per manufacturer’s instructions. Fr 4/16. Submit ticket through LG website describing problem. Sa 4/17. Receive email response from website instructing me to do the troubleshooting I had already completed prior to submitting ticket to website. Call LG 800 number to request repair. Told that I would hear back within 24-48h about getting an LG service technician. Tu 4/20. Call LG because I received no call back. Am informed that they could not find a local technician, and my request was being escalated to the regional services team. Fr 4/23. Call LG for a status update. Rep informs me that they have 5 business days to find local authorized technician, but that if they cannot within 5 days, I can get a replacement authorization. W 4/28. Call LG again, to request replacement authorization. Am told I need to wait an additional 48h for update.F 4/30. Call for status update. Rep tells me that information I received on 4/23 about replacement is incorrect, and that regional services is still looking for repair. Request transfer to executive services. Call gets cutoff partway through. Attempt to call back, but service line is closed for the day. Particularly disappointed that the executive services person I was speaking with did not call me back, because the first thing he asked for was my phone number, in case we got disconnected.W 5/5. Call LG; request immediate transfer to executive services. Rep curtly informs me that they have hundreds of thousands of technicians, just none in our area. Furthermore, that LG has 30 days from my initial call to locate repair services, so I am not yet entitled to a replacement dryer. However, she does provide me with contact info for an authorized service provider in American Canyon. I contact said service provider, Linet Electronics. Technician at Linet tells me that yes, they do service our model of dryer, and they do service our town (35 miles away), and yes he does have availability. He advises against booking him directly for warranty repairs, because then I will need to work request reimbursement from LG for the repair.W 5/12. Call LG; request they contract with Linet Electronics to service our dryer. I provide phone number, but the rep insists that I need to provide email and postal address, too. They should have this information, since I got the phone number from their authorized service system, which is infuriating. I call back once I have the email and post address. The new rep calls Linet, but Linet wants an extra $225 to do the service call, and so LG will not authorize service (this strikes me as absurd, since replacing the unit outright, or providing me a refund, will undoubtedly cost more than the service call with a surcharge). I am told that regional service has 2 chances to find someone in our area before we qualify for replacement, but apparently hasn’t done anything since my first escalation on 4/20 (15 business days ago). Rep promises that I will get a call back within 24-48h about warranty replacement. I tell him I am highly doubtful about that, since I have not received any updates, by phone or email, at any point so far. That my only contact with LG has been contact that I initiated. Th 5/13. Much to my surprise, Jacob, the rep I spoke with on 5/12, calls me back to let me know there has been no action on my replacement request yet. He promises to call me back in 24h. F 5/14. No call back from Jacob. Monday will be 30 days since my dryer broke. I will call LG and demand they send a replacement dryer, though I am not confident they will honor their warranty obligations at this point.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator the end of January which was delivered the 1st week of February. Three weeks later I was dealing with LG Customer Service as the compressor had twice made a terrible grinding noise. After several calls they escalated the issue for an exchange but stated it would take 5 days & to call back then which I did. When contacted after the 5 day period they again gave the exact same directive. I was grateful Best Buy agreed to change it which they did the 1st week in April and advised if I had the extended warranty with Geek Squad they would have taken care of it right away so I bought it on the replacement. The split door on the replacement refrigerator would not close properly & the alarm for that door did not function. Contacted Geek Squad who wrote upon order for repair but the order would not allow it to be scheduled for repair as there are NO SERVICE REPS in this area. How can anyone sell products that have a manufacturer AND an extended warranty when there is NO AVAILABLE SERVICE??? Best Buy sent 3 people from the local store & they offered to replace again but they only allow one (1) replacement on an extended warranty so if there would be anything wrong with the 3rd one I would be out of luck. So today I will go to Best Buy and hopefully get a full refund and go to a local appliance dealer (who services direct) to get a different brand that will cost more. We all loved the design of the LG but I no longer trust LG or Best Buy.
