Purchased $3,000+ LG counter depth Stainless refrigerator late November 2013. In less than six months we have lost the contents of the freezer twice. I asked the retailer that we purchased from, ABT, to replace this obviously defective unit. They say that failure must occur three times in a year before they will consider replacement. I will never buy another LG appliance again.

Power wave technology will not activate on new washer! New WT5070CW washer
Power wave technology will not activate on new washer! New WT5070CW washer arrived. I tried five different cycles and none can produce the powerful jets advertised as LGs Wave Force technology. Technician can only get the wave force action to occur while the washer is in test mode. The Wave Force action appears to be created by centrifugal force of the spinning drum. The drum will not spin fast enough on any cycle to create the wave force action. I am an engineer and it appears that the RPM setting on the motors variable frequency drive is not set high enough to create the wave force action. Hopefully, this is just a software glitch that LG engineers will quickly figure out. I plan on returning quickly if LG does not step up and fix the problem! Is anyone else experiencing this?

For the second time in 6 months, a drawstring from two different pairs of shorts was trapped in the door hinge while the dryer was running causing several pieces of clothing to get caught on the string and twist into a tight knot. Both times I found the dryer stopped and the door open. OK. But try to get the drawstring out of the hinge! I worked for 15 minutes both times. LG NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. There is nothing in their literature that says you may not put items with drawstrings in the dryer. I had a beautiful 1993 Maytag for 27 years and this NEVER happened.

LG was nice enough to replace the exterior of our appliances upon the finish was chipping off. But 10 mins after the repair person for the refrigerator left, the unit report an error code and the Ice & Water dispenser stopped working. I immediately called LG and they stated someone will call me within 24-48 hrs to schedule repair, this was on Friday afternoon. I called LG on Tuesday, stating I have not gotten a call back - they stated it hasnt been the full 24-48 hrs yet. So, I called again on Wednesday and they were surprised I didnt get a call and told me I show call someone else, at which point I asked to speak to supervisor and they transferred me to the Executive Customer Service... Spoke with that person and they basically stated its 3-5 business days to receive a call... I stated, But that not what I was told and this is because your person broke my refrigerator... shouldnt you expedite it since you caused the problem. Essential I got nowhere with this person. I sent an email that day Wed. 12/11/2019 to Head of Support and CEO... never heard a response from my email - so LG basically doesnt care.

The knobs are not safe just brushing against them just as other reviewers have said and you have gas leaking into your home-no safety lock position. The oven warms up to 500 degrees no matter where you set the temperature, I have burnt everything I put into this oven as I cannot calibrate to get a correct 350 degree which is at where most baking is done! There must be some website or news outlet to alert the public of this piece of junk produced by LG. Will not be buying nor recommending any product made by LG. I will be putting this on our Nextdoor website as there are lots of homes here in upper $$ that are buying and replacing appliances in their homes!

I hate my LG washing machine... it smells and there is water that accumulates in the rubber gasket and black mold! I think the problem is the horizontal drum... The water does not drain properly. I never heard of buying a product to clean your wash machine... That pretty much saying there are issues! The dryer also sucks! It shuts off before clothes are dry... So if youre not home to restart.. They smell! The dryer also seems to take a long time to dry. Who would think that products would decline in quality... With all this technology we have today!!! I want my old fashion washer and dryer back!!!!

Couldn’t ask for more. The control panel is easy to understand and use. The amount of laundry that it washes is huge compared to what I had before. I purchased an LG front loader washer in 2006. We have been dealing with the smell, but more importantly the mold. You can smell it on your clothing and towels after each wash. We have tried everything possible to get rid of both. I have developed many health problems, especially respiratory, in the past 5 years. I can not believe from reading all the complaints about the mold in the washers, that nobody has done a thing about it. Mold causes very serious heath problems in humans, especially children. I dont know about you all, but Im going to sue LG. You should too. If youre getting ill, that mold in your washer could be causing it.

This is an expensive refrigerator, and it looks nice. BUT... the compressor wears out easily and makes a horrible loud vibrating/buzzing noise that drowns out conversation in the kitchen. After the first time it fails, LG charges hundreds of dollars to replace the warrantied part (service isnt covered) and then when the darn thing starts vibrating like crazy again just weeks after they fix it, they want hundreds of dollars to come out to replace the part again. And theyre rude about it.

We spent almost $5,000 on the top of the line refrigerator. We lost power and it shut off. When power was restored, the lights went on and not getting cold again. We contacted LG and they scheduled an appointment. NOBODY showed for the appointment or reached out to us to cancel and reschedule the service. We have spoken to several people from LG and they have no clue what they are doing. As recently as last Friday, I spoke to Tony from the executives office in Philippines. He stated someone would contact me from both service and CEO’s office ASAP. It is been 3 days not a single call. Clearly, LG DOES NOT care about their customers. Stay far away.

We bought all new higher end LG appliances. Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, and microwave. Fridge had a catastrophic failure at just over one year, luckily we bought the extended warranty. Then the ice maker died at about year 4. The micro broke in the first year (under warranty) and again at about year 3, (I was able to fix). The dishwashers rack rusted out at about year 2, again warranty and then the dishwasher just died at year 5 and may be too expensive to repair. The range has been problem free. The entire line of appliances appears to be inferior with regular breakdowns. Now that we are out of warranty we will replacing with different brands as things continue to die. All in all we are very dissatisfied and will never buy LG again.

I am currently overseas and purchased an LG F1443KD front loading washer 3 years ago and as a lot of people have experienced the rotor plastic splines have stripped out. As soon as the washer started acting up I tore into it. I can replace the rotor here for around 80 dollars, so I am not even contemplating going through the hassle of the warranty and having to pay for the service call and then be at the mercy of someone else. So this is the cheapest and easiest route by far and I will have my washer back on line in a week. In the meantime I do have a smaller unit upstairs that will suffice until this one is fixed. So will I buy another LG? I am on the fence on this one. Maybe if I get a great deal. LG has been around for many years, but they were not always called LG. What I read is they were previously GOLDSTAR.... and if memory serves me correctly, GOLDSTAR was something you would buy at the supermarket.

I bought an LG bottom freezer fridge. I immediately noticed a high pitched whine noise whenever the compressor was running. LG gave me a big runaround but finally sent a tech to check it out. If you dont like a noise that goes through your head like a spike, stay away from LG.

Bought LGs top end fridge in 2011. Had multiple issues with ice maker working, compressor within the first year. The LG technician ruined our wood floor and left dents all over it, which LG has paid for refinishing. Weve put up with not having enough ice from the beginning. BUT, this past weekend the ice maker quit, then the rest of the fridge stopped working. Had to throw out tons of food. This was on a Saturday night, 7/20. We bought an extended warranty. Weve gone through the proper channels and the contracted repair company cannot come to look at the fridge until 7/30. I have to wait 10 days for service and be without a refrigerator. That is unacceptable! Shame on LG for charging huge fees for crappy products. Shame on Nebraska Furniture Mart for selling extended contracts to sub par repair companies that treat a warranty like a welfare recipient. Shame on Mega Performance, the extended warranty provider and shame on Mr. Appliance in Overland Park, KS. Today is 7/22 and we are trying to figure out a plan and get this resolved, quickly. Customer service is lacking horribly in this country. People need to step up and be accountable and do the right thing.

Following some serious health issues my wife and I moved south to Florida. Based on the cost of buying new vs transporting everything we decided to purchase new. After building and closing on our brand new home on the South Florida Gulf Coast we identified the best appliance store and proceeded to purchase what we were told the best quality Washer (LG steam inverter direct drive True Balance) and the Gas Dryer (LG True Steam Sensor Dry) which were both listed by Consumer Guide as their choice/“Top Rated”? For the record we owned a matched pair of The Whirlpool Duet Washer and Gas Dryer up north prior to moving south for OVER 15 YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT! The LG washer came with an impressive 10 year warranty and to my complete surprise the Dryer came with a ridiculous 1 year warranty! Within six months the dryer was leaking small amounts of water on the floor and the dryer was making loud grinding noises that got progressively louder as the dry cycle progressed! In addition the inside drum/tumbler finish became worn out and marred while the vent at the rear inside of the dryer literally had the finish burnt off with excessive heat presenting a serious issue! In fact some expensive Tommy Bahama shirts were ruined by this dryer!I have called the US Customer Information Center numerous times over the past two years leaving numerous messages until one day three months ago I finally had someone pick up from the Customer Information Center that was obviously overseas possibly located in India based on the gentlemen’s accent This gent proceeded to tell me that the washer was still under warranty but the dryer is only covered for one year! UNBELIEVABLE!!! He then informed me that he would have someone get back to me within the next 24 hours BUT obviously that never happened!! Based on the pricing and the alleged “Top of the line” there has got to be something that can be done? As we live in South Florida the clothing we cycle thru both machines is very light with no shoes ever touching either unit. Based on the facts I would warn you, stay away from LG Washers and Dryers!!

Gas Range LSSG3016ST - I have owned this range only 3 months, but I am very frustrated with the moaning whistle noise that comes from the unit the entire time the oven is in use and for 15 minutes or so after the oven shuts off. I thought maybe when it was used a few times it would stop but it hasnt. It is not horribly loud but loud enough I can hear it throughout the kitchen and it really gets on my nerves. I would think for a $2000.00 oven it should be quiet. I am talking with customer service and will write another review per their response. As of this time I am not a happy camper and think this will be my last LG purchase.

We bought LG top load washer and front dryer as a pair; WT5170HV, 5-2012. The only problems weve had was the washer electronic control board shorted out & now weve noticed rust forming underneath the top rim of the washer. There is a notice about not splashing bleach when adding to the dispenser. We are careful, but apparently it splashes up on the bottom of the lid and around the dispenser when the machine is operating. This is a design flaw and needs to be corrected by LG. This will be the last time I buy LG products unless they show me that they will stand behind their products and fix the design flaws... So be careful when buying appliances and read consumer reports.

I just had to replace a roller bearing on my three-year-old LG dryer at the expense of $200. When I attempted to contact LG customer service, they were willing to forward my complaint to upper management without any expectation of a reply to me on my complaint. Evidently, this problem is quite prevalent on this particular model (DLE5955W), which I learned from reports on the internet. The serviceman that replaced the defective roller told me that the bushing/bearing was completely worn-out, which caused a rumbling noise, because of no lubricant which might have occurred because of its proximity to the heating element.

I purchased 4 brand new LG appliances for our daughter when they moved into their new home. She immediately noticed a problem with the range. The knobs on this model are along the front of the stove and they can be turned on very easily. I was there one day and walked past and barely brushed against a knob and turned the element on.This has happened several times. Even the family dog has turned it on. So far there have been two fires as a result of this issue. One caused damage to their LG range hood/microwave and upper cabinets. This stove is dangerous and they should not be allowed to sell it. We have contacted LG several times. They had scheduled an in-home visit to see the issue but never showed up. We have still not received a satisfactory response. The latest response was to keep the children out of the kitchen. The children are the only ones that havent accidentally turned it on.

Initially I chose LG brand because I like their other appliances such as TV, Washing Machines, etc. When I bought the refrigerator that was the guiding and deciding factor, familiarity. What I like the most about the LG brand is the nice slick look. I like the brand itself in general. My favorite color in most appliances of that nature is stainless steel. I have been satisfied with the look, functioning and features of my LG refrigerator. I like the inside of the refrigerator as much as the outside. I like the design that allow me to pack my food nicely. Everything I need is neatly tucked away in a place that I am pleased and comfortable to reach and store it.

First LG purchase was in Nov. 2009 with a convection oven/stove and dishwasher. Bought them at hhgregg and purchased the extended warranty. Moved out of that home in May 2010 and left the appliances there as I had planned on renting out that home. The end of May (for my new place) I purchased an LG front loader washer and dryer (Home Depot with extended 5 yr warranty) because it seemed like LG was a good brand from all the reviews I had read. Got renters in the next month for my old house and they were in there about a year. We left the house empty with someone checking on it every couple days for a year and a half. We moved back in Dec. 2012. We moved out again in March of 2014 to a larger home but took the stove with us. The dishwasher started having issues in July of 2014 for our new tenants. Our extended warranty covered it and the repairs ended up costing more than it was to buy a new one so it was completely replaced by the warranty. All in all, the dishwasher was used for about 3 of those 5 years before needing replacement. In December 2014 my dryer wont power on at all and I have to call Home Depot for the repair. They tell me its the motherboard and it gets replaced. This ends up being about a $200+ repair covered by the warranty. That same month, my LG oven wont heat up. The display says its 350 but I can easily touch the racks, and food is not cooking. My stove is no longer under warranty so the expense is on me. I call a repair guy out who tells me its one of the heating elements. $125 later everything seemed fine until 8 months later when now my washing machine wont drain and my stove has another issue. Neither are under warranty. The washing machine needs a new pump at about $200. My stoves motherboard gets replaced at about $200. Fast forward to April 2016. Stove not heating up again. Had appliance guy out who tried telling me we dont have enough electricity coming into our house after charging me $200 for some electrical part he said was bad and it didnt solve the problem. I called electric company who checked everything and house had plenty of juice. Got part of my money back from the appliance guy since he misdiagnosed the stove and cost me more money. Husband replaced the second heating element (theres two in this particular model) and everything seemed fine until August of this year. Washing machine is giving pump failure message again, dryers display is not working right (cant see how many minutes left -- digital display unreadable), and the stove went out again. Stove was approx 5 years old before we started replacing part after part. Washer and dryer were 5 years old before we started having issues. I have an LG fridge and dishwasher (purchased Dec. 2014), but I think these will be my last appliance purchases from LG. 3 appliances getting replaced is ridiculous in one month. Quality is just not important anymore to these companies. I dont expect them to last forever, but 7-8 years would have been nice. Will not purchase another LG appliance.

I will never buy it again. I hope this help someone.

We purchased an lxsc22396s refrigerator and it stopped working within 90 days. We purchased this refrigerator on 05/24/18 (paid over $2000 for it) and on 07/23/18, it stopped dispensing water, the ice melted, it stopped cooling, and cost us over $250 of spoiled groceries. We contacted LG and they sent out a technician who perform a reset and stated that it will start working in about a week. We contacted LG again to request a loner fridge until ours starts working again. Jovy from LG told us that they cant do anything about it and we just have to wait until they fix it. Very poor customer service from LG. We also submitted a request for a refund for $250 of spoiled food. They told us that all managers were busy and would call us back later in the day. They never called us back. We havent had this refrigerator 90 days and its already giving us problems and costing us money.

The refrigerator stopped cooling 1 week ago. The LG repair person has been out multiple times, tested everything (even consulted with LG), finally replaced coils suspecting there was a blockage, still not cooling and it is Thanksgiving tomorrow. The compressor was replaced under warranty within the 1st year. Weve had refrigerators last 20+ years with no repairs, this is ridiculous. So the repair guy got paid yesterday, was supposed to call today, have heard nothing and his mailbox is full. We have family visiting and no refrigerator. Been living out of a cooler for the past week.Disappointed that this refrigerator has turned out to be such a piece of excrement. We bought it because LG had a good reputation. Apparently theyve cut huge corners on quality and are following the planned obsolescence that is becoming common practice so you are forced to buy appliances more often, whether you can afford it or not. And getting more business for their repair people....

If I only had read all the reviews on the LG refrigerators... I would have avoided all the aggravation and expense. I Bought an LG refrigerator 1yr ago. I had it serviced 3 times... Freezer leaked and fridge did not stay cool... Spoiled food, wet floor (accident waiting to happen if I hadnt notice the flood)... This is nothing you want to see when you walk into your house after 10 hrs of work... After $600 in repairs had to get rid of it... Just a waste of $1100 + repairs. To top it off, had to purchase a new fridge... Dont buy LG...

We purchased the LPXS30866D Refrigerator as part of a complete set from Costco when we were remodeling a home. The refrigerator is just 4 years old when we woke up one morning to have everything thawed. We were told the compressor went out and to set up a repair through LG Support. We did that and were told we would be contacted in 3 to 5 days. A few days went by and we hadnt heard anything so I called again, they said I should hear something in a few days. Once again when I didnt get any calls I called again and was told my first submission was cancelled! So, I had to start the whole process again with waiting the 3 to 5 days just to hear from someone to even schedule and appointment. Finally got an appointment scheduled for the repair but when the day of the appointment came the LG liaison showed up but the repairman did not. The LG liaison apologized and told us he would get back with us on another date. 10 days later we were scheduled again for the repair this time both showed up BUT, then the repairman realized what the repair was and he refused to do it and left! The LG liaison doesnt actually work for LG and had been very nice. He said his boss would be calling us but later in the day when we hadnt heard from him we texted him. He told us he totally apologized and understood our frustration. He said his best suggestion is for us to contact LG!!! So were back to square one! Its been 4 weeks without a refrigerator and were beyond frustrated. There is a serious problem with LG repair services!

Our LG microwave went out within months. LG refuses to repair or replace (THATS WHAT WARRANTY PROMISES) - only offers ORIGNAL WHOLESALE price paid by our designer, no shipping, NOT WHAT IT WILL COST US TO REPLACE even though we explained multiple times that the price was not what came out of our pocket (because of designer add-on) and not what the model costs now with inflation. We custom cut and trimmed for that microwave. We will be out $100 plus to replace it.

In May of 2009, I renovated my kitchen and bought two new appliances - an over the range microwave and a dishwasher, both LG products.Last week, on February 8, 2012, the microwave stopped heating. I called the company and after describing what happened was told that the magnetron went out. Since this is my second home, this microwave hasnt been used more than 100 times from the date of installation and I felt they should take responsibility for the repairs. I was told that the magnetron is covered but the labor is not. Then they told me to call a certain company to have it fixed. The service company said that they will order the part and when the part arrives, they will call me to have it installed. They refused to give me an estimate for the cost of labor. Eventually, after several calls, I was told it is around $220! At this point, I sent two emails to the LG company and as of today, February 15, 2012 got no reply. My other appliance, the LDF9810ST dishwasher, simply does not wash. I wash everything before putting it in and, again I wash and dry some dishes after the 3-hour cycle is done. Also, the plastic baskets are falling down or do not slide back. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever came across. When I told them about this problem I was told, Oops! You bought a floor model, and because of it ,we cant help you at all!At this point, I am angry, and I feel used and abused by a company that makes such bad products and cares so little for the customers. What a self-centered motto on their website, Life is Good! Whos life?I will never buy another LG product again and I will advise all my family, relatives and friends to not buy LG products either.

We purchased this LG stainless steel refrigerator Model # LRFD25850ST from Home Depot for $2400. Within the last 18 months we have had 3 service calls on a recurring problem. This morning the problem was back and now requires another service visit. The three prior ones cost about $600 altogether, so we are into this refrigerator for at least $3000 so far. I havent seen my problem on this blog. What happens is for some reason a sheet of ice forms in the bottom of the freezer. (Its a bottom freezer model). Anyway every single day of my life I have to crack up the ice with a wooden mallet, scrape it out of the freezer onto the floor & then clean that up. Its infuriating! Each time the tech comes out he defrosts some line & it starts working properly again. After the 1st repair visit, it worked for about 9 months. Then he came again & it worked for 2 months. Then he came again & replaced a little plastic tube & that has worked for 2 months. I really dont think a refrigerator should need to be serviced every 2 months! Before this, I had a GE fridge & it worked without a single problem for 17 years. We gave it to a family member when we got this LG & it has been working for them flawlessly since. That’s 21 years without a problem. Trying to deal with LG customer service is a joke. They couldnt care less & their only recourse is to remind you that your fridge is out of warranty. Plus like others have said, its really difficult to even find someone to service the thing. We dont live in the sticks but a major metropolitan area. We are going to cut our losses & buy a new fridge, but it is definitely not going to be an LG. I will never buy another LG product! Are there any appliances still made in the US? Thats my next quest. I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with both the quality of the product & the total worthlessness of customer service as LG has exhibited.

I had a Samsung refrigerator and it last two years. I went through hell with Samsung because it was still under warranty and it took me three months to get that resolved. Then I bought this LG refrigerator and the compressor failed in it. But I called LG and it was handled the best way it could’ve been handled. I was very impressed. And service tech came out and fixed it. He was very professional and very good. He put a new compressor in it and the difference is night and day. The refrigerator has been running great since then and they got a loyal LG customer now because of the way they handled the whole situation. They backed the product, so I don’t have a problem and I’ll buy another one. My wife even told me that I had to talk to somebody and tell them how the experience was and how well it was handled.

With my laundry room in the basement I am constantly up and down the steps resetting the wash. I have NEVER been able to complete my wash in one day since buying this poor excuse for a washer 1 1/2 years ago!!!! Its not even worth 1 star but it wouldnt let me submit without at least 1.

Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs
Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs are SO sensitive and we have accidentally kicked them on numerous times by leaning against the stove when gathering in the kitchen and even by reaching up into the cabinet or microwave that is over the stove and hitting the knobs with our stomach or hips. Thank goodness we have always been home when this has happened and have been able to quickly address the melted cutting boards (2) and scissors that have been on the stove when accidentally turned on. Also, were very lucky that our dog knows better than to jump on the counters when we are not home or else I could see him turning on the stove and burning down our house with himself in it. I have called LG multiple times about this and each time I am assured someone will call me back but still no return call! To make matters worse, SafetyFirst brand makes knob covers to childproof these types of stoves, but LGs knobs are too large for the standard protectors. Its like LG aims to get a good laugh at peoples houses burning down because of their faulty products! We really wish we got a Whirlpool!!!

I checked the manual and did as instructed. The drain hose was not bent, pinched or clogged. I clean the filter. Finally had to call for service and was told the motor assembly A/C pump needed replacing. This machine in not 4 years old. Guess thats why the warranty was for only 1 year on all the smaller parts. What kind of company makes such items and can only guarantee the said item for 1 year??? Thank goodness for Worry Free.

He drove down one day and was here 5 mins and only checked the temperature of the fridge and left. He supposedly had to order a control board that hasnt come in after 2 months. Then I was told to email a copy of the receipt from when it was purchased so that the rep could send it to someone in higher authority to decide whether or not theyd refund us. That was 2 weeks ago that it was sent to the rep and still no answer back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and no one to service their HORRIBLE products! Doug finally said screw it and went and bought a Samsung today.

We contacted LG for service, only to realize that it would take two weeks to install a new compressor and worrying if that would hold. Purchased LG fridge couple years ago from Home Depot on clearance. Nice, big, spacious. The ice maker has a silly ice plus button to make more ice. First, the ice compartment is small so the ice plus button is really needed to be on all the time. Second, ice plus button turns off automatically. So if you use a lot ice dont buy one that has an ice plus button. LG should have an ice maker that does not need an ice plus button. Thirdly, the so called water filters you have to purchase from home depot are not oem filters. The OEM filters are high priced and need to be changed every three months to get the water to dispense like it did when it was new. I will not purchase another LG ice & water dispenser on a fridge. For future reference buy simple less headaches.

Not even a month after we purchased the matching LG front load steam washer and dryer we started having issues. The washer started leaking water from the door when it was running. Maintenance guy came out and basically told us it was our fault. Now a year later, when we open the dryer it literally smells like we have farm animals living in the dryer. Maintenance guy comes out and once again its our fault. These machines are high maintenance and require a complete wipe down after every use. Wipe down the gaskets the doors and leave them open to air out (we have a toddler yeah thats safe) Dryer had to be semi disassembled and the amount of lint the bypasses the filter is INSANE! Why even have a filter it doesnt look like it catches anything! Them wiped down with bleach and sprayed with white vinegar. This is ridiculous and we will never go with another LG appliance ever again.

Buyer beware of this refrigerator! I have an LG fridge (through sears –kenmore elite). I have spoken to Sears and LG. Both are saying that my less than two year old fridge not working is the others problem. I have now paid to have both a Sears technician and an LG technician look at it. The first tech said the issue was the refrigerant cooling system and the compressor was gone. This was the local LG authorized appliance repair person. The second was the Sears authorized repair tech who said it was the electrical board, but it could also be the compressor but they werent sure. Both say NOT their problem!! It is going to cost 1150.00 to fix my fridge after Xmas! I have now had no fridge for over two weeks. Life is definitely Not Good!!!I spoke to Sears, they also told me, not their problem. So what what do I do now? I know, pay $1150.00 for my fridge. If my fridge, was older, I would get it! But it is less than two years old!! You know that is not right!! This fridge is a lemon, avoid at all costs. Please avoid this model and beware that neither LG or Sears cares even a little bit about assisting you if your appliance is not under warranty!!!

Hi. I bought an LG washer and dryer 2 weeks ago, got it installed 4 days ago. My first wash the dryer didnt work, I kept trying but it didnt. LG sent a 3rd party tech who investigated and replaced a part (back box ) but it still doesnt work. Hes left it to a next unscheduled appointment to probe further to try and see if changing front panel will work. I paid $2600 for this machine and Im so disgusted, disappointed & frustrated with the process and the service from LG. For the price this machine is a complete failure for me. I paid for a new functioning washer and dryer and I got a trial and error piece of equipment. Im a mother to 4 school going kids and the inconvenience, hole in pocket and frustration is inexplicable. I want LG to replace this machine irrespective to their further investigations irrespective if it leads to repair or not. Because I didnt pay for a repaired product I paid for a brand new functioning product and I want one or my money back. I wouldnt recommend this machine to anyone on this basis.

We purchased an LG French door fridge, stove and microwave in April 2016, by August 2016 the fridge no longer worked. We have been living out of coolers constantly having to buy ice for the past month. Spending lots of money eating out because I cant go grocery shopping. 2 techs have been out for repair, but have yet to fix the compressor which they both say is out. It is now September 2016 and I still have no working fridge. We paid $2583.50 for a fridge that lasted 4 months. After reading other peoples experiences here I now know that I have wasted a big amount of my money as I have had the same experience with Lg customer service. Long waits on the phone, no type of care or concern about having a customer fridge less for a month now, even after I told them we have a son whos medication must be refrigerated. No compensation offered whatsoever. None given when requested either. Their customer service line is horrible. They do not care about their customers at all.I have never reviewed any product because I have never had the need to do so. Everything always works just as promised. We had our previous fridge 12 years without a single repair made to it (kenmore) only replaced to this LG because kitchen was remodeled and wanted a new look. BIG MISTAKE - we made with our choice. Do NOT waste your money. LG products are NO good. Stay away.

The sides, where the metal shelving are held is rusted. The coating on the bottom of the oven cracked & sections rusted, the metal sheeting is also warped. Like others, I bought LG because of the reputation that Consumer Reports said. Obviously they didnt test the stove long enough or use it the way a real homeowner would use it, and here we paid close to $1800 for our glass top stove and it cant last 10 years. I purchased my LG Range in the hopes LG products would live up to the hype! In fact I bought all LG appliances. To my disappointment only the washer and dryer have lived up to my expectations. Anyways on to the range. My range was purchase in 2009 and the knobs became loose and wobbly by 2011. However, I kept using them until they completely broke off. After speaking with customer service and explaining the defect they reluctantly sent me out a brand new supposedly updated model of the knobs with the defect fix... WRONG!Fast forward to 2016 present day my knobs are loose, wobbly, and a couple have broken off. I called customer service and they tell me because they already sent out the updated knobs in 2014 they could no longer replace them. I explained it was a manufacturers defect and the knobs they sent out were the same defective knobs. The rep transferred me to Executive Services Corporate Office where I spoke to Jewel. She was very rude and short with me, continually stating Its our policy that we cant send out any more knobs and gave me the parts ordering department so I could pay for a set myself. She even went as far to blame me for the broken knobs saying that maybe I was using the oven wrong and she doesnt live in my house so she cant verify that Im telling the truth that the knobs are defective. She was cold and had no interest in hearing my side of the story. Basically she told me I need to eat the $150 cost of replacing the knobs every two years! Which clearly exceeds the cost of the range! She even hung up on me because I asked her questions she refused to answer because she knew it would expose LG as a fraudulent company that doesnt stand behind their product. I called back and spoke with Erica who was very nice and said she would forward the complaint. For now it looks like Ill have to eat the cost of the new set and repair the factory defect with a fix I found on YouTube which involves fitting a brass tube over the knob post. I hope we can win this battle against LG! Clearly the knob design is very poor engineering on LGs part or just too cheap to use aluminium instead of chrome plated plastic!

Few days after purchasing LMHM2017ST, we would hear a squeaky noise from the turntable when on. It seemed just slightly bothersome then and so live with it.A few months later, numbers on the touch keypad stopped working one by one. Now most of them dont work. Also many other buttons are not working. The fan and light buttons are also not working causing these features not be available anymore. Next, another issue cropped up - the microwave switches on, on its own, as soon as the door is opened. So there are now multiple problems in a short duration of gentle use. I called LG customer service but they offered to send someone to fix these issues for a charge of $185 + tax. They would give only 60 days warranty and only on the services performed. They will not guarantee on anything else. It seems they know that there can arise even more problems in future. I bought this microwave because it looked good but other than that it turned out to be a crappy and expensive unit (over $500). I will not buy anything LG in future.

My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package in April 2016 after I did careful research on the products that were available at the time. We got a fridge, microwave and gas range. The first problem that we had was our fridge. The compressor went out about three years in which LG fixed. Next up, about a year ago, our ice maker just stopped working. Around that same time, I heard a very loud pop in our microwave and that stopped working.I had a tech come out to take a look and it was the entire control panel which was nearly the same amount the microwave cost in order to fix it which we ended doing. I didnt want to get another brand because this microwave has a special vent that goes above my range. The tech also looked at the refrigerator ice maker and mentioned that we may need to replace the door which is a common problem apparently. Unfortunately that is too pricey for the time being so now I have no icemaker.Until yesterday, Ive been happy with my LG Gas Range... I started getting an F9 error which means the oven isnt heating correctly. Tonight I was making dinner and the oven turned on as usual and said it was preheated. I started cooking and opened the oven to check my food. Low and behold, the oven is barely hot. I check the oven temp and its 205 even though the temp says 400. Sounds like another problem that is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair. Ive only had this appliance package for 5 years. It is so disappointing to have a problem with everything Ive purchased from LG. Ive been making sure to tell all of my friends and family to avoid LG because of all the problems Ive had. The only appliance I have in my kitchen that hasnt had any issues is my dishwasher but thats a Bosch. Im glad I didnt get one from LG. Although the LG appliance look beautiful, please avoid them because right now Im trying to plan meals without the use of my oven until I can get it fixed. What a disappointment.

And he ask for the receipt, hey, the range was purchased 9 years ago, not sure how many people keep receipt for 9 years, not even the tax receipt. And finally, he said he will order the part, but it will be available on next year Jan. Then I ask for call me back if the part is available, and he said, thats my business, I have to call back myself to check. Wow, how great LG service!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I asked to talk to his manager, and he said, I am the boss, and I am the last person you can talk to. Can anyone tell me what else I can do?

My refrigerator is 6 months old. The Ice Maker at 2 months old started to produce metal/oil tasting ice. I called to have the unit looked at and they sent out a tech that agreed the ice was tasting like metal. He suggested replacing the water filter and I did. It solved nothing. I cleaned out the ice bin... solved nothing. Added baking soda as suggested by tech support... it solved nothing. Made sure food in the freezer was sealed in zip locks as suggested... it solved nothing. Water coming from the dispenser tastes fine, so obviously, somewhere in the Ice Maker unit, its getting tainted.Basically, after 6 months (still under warranty) they refuse to send anyone to fix the stupid thing unless I agree to pay for the tech out of my own pocket because he found nothing wrong with the fridge despite he agreed the ice tastes like metal. I should have sent the entire unit back when I had it the first week and had to call for service... that issue was someone at the factory didnt plug in the compressor power cable. Horrible customer service, useless tech support, and terrible warranty policy. 6-month-old fridge with an Ice Maker I cant even use. Never will I purchase an LG product again.

My wife bought this LG Washing Machine Model WT5001C from a Best Buy shop. Since the break in we had problems and called technician to fix it. The cost of which now exceeded the cost of the machine. It is a fancy looking washer with a lot of fancy lights. Its sensors have limited light and go off often during a regular wash. The LG Service does not really care. It was a bad experience and recommend dont buy it even if it free as it cause so much inconvenience.

I purchased a new LG Range and LG Microwave in April 2019 -installed in May 2019. In October of 2019 the Magnetron and motor fan failed and needed replaced. This was serviced and covered by LG. Now come November of 2020. The motor fan and magnetron is failing again... Was on phone with LG for over an hour explaining that this should not happen in a microwave AGAIN in the short amount of time that Ive had it. LG will not do ANYTHING since its out of my warranty period. After a very lengthy conversation with a manager- they agreed to cover the Magnetron part only (then to find out by a service company that these are covered for 8 years regardless). No help on service fee or the fan part being paid for either. The quote to get this fixed is higher than the cost of a new microwave. Very disappointed. My very cheap microwave before I bought this one lasted 10 years. What gives LG? Dont make customers beg and plead for help on a failing product. There is NO way this microwave should fail this quickly. I believe I received a defective product from the beginning. So frustrating.

We purchased our LG refrigerator on 09/02/10, the first call for repair was on 9/28/10. The problem was the light in the refrigerator being off. It was supposedly fixed. The next call for repair was 10/27/10 for the same problem. It was supposedly fixed again. For the record, it still goes out on occasion, we were told this is a problem with LG refrigerators. The next service call was 09/01/11. This time, the refrigerator was too warm, going up to 50 degrees. Thank God we still had our old fridge in the basement we could transfer our food to. The technician told us the cause was freezing up in the tube that transferred cold air from the freezer to the fridge. He thawed everything out, and it worked okay till recently. I called for repair again for the same problem. Thanks to our old Kenmore in the basement which kicks the LGs **. Thank heaven we purchased an extended warranty. When I called this last time, I complained to the person I was talking to, saying I think we deserve a new fridge, her reply was we can extend our warranty. Give me a break. Reading these other complaints, I dont think a new LG would solve our problems. We would just get a new set of headaches. Needless to say, I will never purchase an LG product again, and would never recommend them to anyone!

Sorry I didnt know prior to purchasing. We purchased in 2015 and it had a couple problems from day 1. The bottom racks fell in so we had to call a repair person who literally stretched the bottoms of the racks out so they would not fall into the bottom. Several glasses broke right off because the top rack has a terrible design. DW is hard to load and Im constantly shifting things. NOW it no longer cleans the dishes properly. We use recommended products and get residue now more than ever. Please stay away from this dishwasher.

We bought this LG WM3670MWA washer and paired dryer at Nebraska Furniture Mart in in June 30,2018. The Silk screened Cycle Name lettering is now dissolving and even rubbing off the washer. LG says its COSMETIC damage because something other than warm water and a damp cloth was used to clean the washer. We use Shout as a pre-wash and have for the last 15+ years. Our 13 year old Samsung front loaders never had any issues with lettering rub off. I sprayed Shout on a 9 year old silk screened plastic cup and let it sit for a week, adding Shout each day, and its still perfect. Never buy another LG Product. NFMs $270.00 extra warranty was worthless for this as they say if LG says its cosmetic, theres no reason to even come look at it. They only cover mechanical breakdown. Not happy with performance either. Also, Turbo-Wash times are reasonable but will only take 3 items (?).

The LG ice maker design is flawed (LG Refrigerator LFX25975ST103). I purchased the item new from Home Depot in 2010 and luckily with an extended service contract. Initially, the problem was the water dispenser. The dispensing button stuck and flooded the kitchen before I could get an LG representative on the phone. The ice maker would not function and was replaced after numerous service calls between September 2010 and January 2011. It has never functioned properly, always crushing most of the ice. This leads to a crushed ice dam that forms in the door. Eventually, one must clean out this mess. After being a slave to service calls in 2010, I decided to utilize my Home Depot extended warranty and attempt once more to have ice from this very expensive investment.A crack existed in the ice hopper and a very talented serviceman came to my home, analyzed the problem, and ordered a new ice hopper. The part arrived last week and since then, the same problem has existed. Now, I am unable to remove the ice hopper due to the ice dam in the door. This entire problem is due to the design. We keep the temperature in our home at just under seventy degrees year-round. When the left door is opened, the vents between the main refrigerator body and the door allow warmer air to enter the ice maker. The flap door that opens to allow ice to eject also allows warm air to enter due to the long length of the trap door opening, 5 seconds. This allows some melting of the ice that is trapped and crushed in the hopper to melt then re-freeze in the blades. Then the damming cycle begins once again.

We bought the top of the line LG Front Load Washing Machine 3 years ago. We had a repairman out 1 mo ago to service our LG dryer and while he was here he said our washing machine was about to go. He pointed out the loud noise we heard was from the drum that was about to disconnect from the machine. One month later, thats exactly what happened. When I called LG they said the drum was covered but the service was not. I called two of the recommended service repair people and the estimates I received were $695 and $800. I called LG back and asked if this was typical of a 3-year-old washer. I was told it was not their fault that I didnt buy the extended warranty! They do not stand behind their products!

We purchased and LG refrigerator and dishwasher about 2 years ago. Have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator, but it is working for now. The dishwasher will not clean the dishes. Because it is out of warranty, I called to get a service appointment set up only to be told that the price which I had been quoted by two of their representatives had gone up over $100 when I finally got to the department which could schedule the service. $100 in less than three minutes? I was told that it was due to sales tax. Total nonsense as nobody charges over 60% tax and we dont even pay tax on service calls in this state! After calling back, I managed to get the price back down to what was promised and secured an appointment for the next afternoon. The next morning I received an overnight-mail package. It was the pump for my dishwasher which had arrived before the technician could even look at the machine. Obviously LG has had this problem many times before if they know the problem before they can even look at the appliance! Why was there no recall of the defective part if the problem is that common? This company is to be avoided at all costs. They will lie to you and will do absolutely anything to avoid accepting responsibility for their worthless products! If there were a negative number of stars with which I could rate them, I would.

1st I contacted LG and because my dryer was purchased in Nov 2014, it was out of warranty. I was provided a schismatic to properly identify the part I needed (A255 - see exploded view of page 49). I was also required to work with an authorized parts distributor near me (California). I initiated my order the 1st week of August and got 2 incorrect parts because LG Parts Department does not label their items correctly!! The authorized dealer was apologetic and I was given a full refund. So next I called LG directly and they too send me 2 different incorrect parts. After several weeks of calling and arguing to speak to a US based representative, I got Erica ** in Executive Services who was unhelpful, rude, and downright wrong in her understanding of the entire situation. Now what? I am now being told I have to buy the entire TOP of my dryer to fix the plastic hinge that broke on my steam compartment. So why does LG make such a piece of crap that needs to have replacement parts within 2.5 years of purchase? I would actually appreciate an answer. Also, Why cant I buy a replacement part without dealing with stupid representatives? Buy the entire lid? REALLY?So I would like a rep to contact me and ship me A255; that item is not a huge metal door hinge. It is a small piece of plastic!!! It goes into A260 which I was able to purchase without ANY ISSUES. The lovely Erica ** stated LG Corp has mislabeled page 49 and the part I was sent IS the correct part. How was I able to buy A260 (lid) and A255 be a part that is not purchasable? Why is all this made of such cheap plastic? So Erica wants me to replace the entire lid of my dryer... That is everything featured on page 49 section A210 for a ridiculous $150 AND I still have to install all that. Those parts arent even broken! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG. I never will again. They are horrible!!

Purchased two LG refrigerators both breaking down same way. Thought the first time was just defect; now after reading blogs and comments just poor manufacturing. On the first unit 1mth after buying, fresh food storage stopped keeping food cold and freezer stopped freezing. After 3 attempts to fix through LG, I refused a fourth try. They refused to exchange. Home Depot absorbed the loss and exchanged the refrigerator, which they didnt have to do. Now 2.5yrs later of course bought LG, like I said 1st time bad luck. Now again refrigerator not cooling, had to throw out food last night and again today and the freezer now not working, of course, warranty expired after first year, and they cant help me. Have 4 kids, can barely afford to buy food and make it last. Now Im throwing it away and cant get help. Why would a Refrigerator stop working only after 2 1/2 years? Poor manufacturing. After checking internet blogs and complaints, found out thousands of customers have had the same problems, have been reported it, and have gotten no help, have to pay out of pocket and have someone come in and diagnose the problem then order the part directly through LG. The company should be ashamed of its self for not resolving a problem like this when families buy their products because of past reputation of being reliable - $1200.00 paid and only lasted 2.5years. Now will cost me between $200.-300.00 for the repair. I will never recommend or purchase another LG product again. Thats why they only warranty their products for 1yr only. For a purchase this big and important storing food and knowing all families and people in general have the use for this item, they would have more integrity.

Update 1/27/2022:On 20 Jan 2022, LG contacted me and related that they are looking for a provider to service my Refrigerator. My initial complaint was sent to them on 19 Jan 2022. On 25 Jan 2022 (six days later) I received a call/voicemail from Provider (someone hired by LG to service my refrigerator) asking me to call them back to set-up an appointment to evaluate/service my unit. I researched the phone number, identified the provider and observed that their one page (80% functional) web presence identified that they serviced refrigerators (from their site: Refrigerator Repair: Cleaning the Condenser; Cleaning the drain line; Cleaning the drip pan; Manually defrosting ice build ups; Replacing air damper seals; Adjustment or replacement of door or door gaskets). Absolutely no where did they reference diagnostics; systems evaluations; cooling system trouble-shooting and repair, Nothing. So, using the email address depicted on their site, I emailed them. Asked for them to verify that they did indeed have the necessary training and certifications to service my refrigerator. I also stated that I would need to validate their business (License; certifications; insurance; etc.). On 26 Jan 2022, late in the day, I receive an obscure robo call relating that My parts have been ordered and that once the parts come in that they would contact me and establish a time for a technician to return and repair my refrigerator, and if I had any questions, refer to Providers website (by name). Wow, no one has been at my house, let alone evaluated my refrigerator. Needless to say, I am livid. LG not only produces Sub-standard products; fails at responding effectively to the customer in a timely manner; they completely lack any form of integrity. Imaging the unmitigated gaul it takes, for a Multimillion Dollar Company, to Search for a provider with the technical training/certifications, history of certified good service, that are licensed/bonded and insured meeting their (LGs) High Standards and come up with a company, that has two locatable addresses, both resolving to Apartment complexes, with a single faulty web page for an internet presence, a page of which does not identify any technical repairs (refer above), is not certified/trained to do the technical aspects required to repair a Refrigerator (nor do they profess to this), nor do they have any verifiable insurance covering the conduct of their business, absolutely NO information relating to their business, anywhere. In other words they (LG) simply looked for anyone willing to do the warranty work, did not vet the business or conduct any action to verify that the business they Hired were capable of doing the job let alone legitimate. You have to ask yourself: What type of a business simply hands out their warranty work to ANYONE who responds saying I can do that, Trust Me - wink, wink and hand them the contract?; Imagine allowing people who are complete unknowns with NO certifiable background, into your home to service your $3,000 refrigerator, because LG fully backs them as an LG certified service provider. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Please note that there are Dozens of Certified/insured/very reputable appliance services in Colorado Springs; hundreds in the Denver Area.... Yep LG really did their research. We can pull up certified providers in seconds on the internet, it only took LG six days to find a business that could not perform the job. Original review 1/19/2022:We purchased an LG French Door; Instaview Door-In-Door refrigerator on 1 July 2018 from Best Buy (model: LMXC23796M; GR-X23GHMJM.AMTCNAO). It was delivered on 5 July 2018. We paid just over $3,000.00 for it. To our great misfortune, at some point yesterday/evening it died without any warning/indication there was a problem. The lights work; the gauges appear to function; it just appears to be warming the items within now. Of course the couple hundred $$ worth of food within... I guess that is another reason why we have dumps. Im in my 60s and have never in my life owned; seen or have knowledge of anyones refrigerator failing in such a short period of time, and without the slightest indication it was going to fail. I simply cannot recommend LG to anyone. They simply do not last, which makes them junk.

LG service lacks timeliness. I bought an LG French door refrigerator which we put in service three years ago (in 2015). Since that time we have had the circulation fan replaced in 2017 and the compressor failed in 2018. We have now been waiting for three weeks to have the compressor replaced and it appears we will be yet a fourth week before we have a technician here to perform that work. Took 2 weeks to get the tech out to diagnose and order the parts needed, another week to get the part and set up another appointment, then the appoint was cancelled because a plastic part I could snap on myself was not yet on hand. Like I said: Now looking to be 4 weeks (maybe) before I once again have another functioning refrigerator. NOT HAPPY!

They suggested I call LG again to see if I could get an ETA or a replacement. My LG refrigerator (Model: LFX25971ST) is not cooling. I bought an LG stainless steel fridge about three years ago. Last night, water started leaking from the ice maker on the door. Later, I found out that the water was leaking because the fridge was no longer cooling the upper part, nor freezing the freezer compartment.I called LG Customer Service to complain, but all I received was Im sorry. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes. The supervisor said that he would look into approving reimbursement for parts, but not for labor (no promises). I now have to wait until Monday (now Saturday) to get a reply. If I went to an authorized repairman prior to receiving a reply, then they will not cover anything. So, do I wait three days for a possible partial covered repair (and not have a fridge) or do I call a repairman today? By the way, this is the second major repair to my fridge in the last few months. The first came when the water line (on the fridge, not the connection to the house) cracked and leaked behind the fridge, causing considerable damage to my floor and the ceiling in the basement. My insurance company was involved and asked for the cracked tube after I had it replaced. They said that they would consider legal actions to recover the insurance claim.

Since purchasing this new dryer, I have to run all loads on a minimum of 2 cycles to dry, mostly with towels and not huge loads but maybe 10 towels I usually have to run through 4 dry settings to get them dry enough which is ridiculous. This is why we replaced our old Samsung dryer. Gonna be replacing our washing machine soon, and after this complete waste of a dryer purchase, we will definitely be looking at other avenues and brands for our washing machine upgrade. We purchased a counter-depth LG French Door unit from Lowes about 5 years ago with a 3-year service agreement. Because LG doesnt make as many counter depth compared to standard depth, it cost more (~$3000). Cosmetically and storage-wise, we were quite happy with it, but early in the first year we noticed that ice was building up behind the left bottom storage drawer. Lowes repairman replaced the entire rear fan/control unit, explaining that if we didnt have the service contract it would have cost us about $500.Unfortunately 2-more service calls by 2 different organizations were required in the first 3-years --- all for the same ice problem! We then purchased a 1-year extension for the service agreement because it was obvious that our $3000 fridge had a problem no one seemed to be able to fix. We were correct, because we had more ice in that year.Numerous calls and emails to LG and Lowes during these 5-years got us little more than asking for more and more details about previous repairs. They also referred us to someone to repair it. They all tried, replacing more pieces and parts. Finally, a few months ago when ice again recurred we spent $90 for another LG expert to review our issue. They told us LG had issued some sort of bulletin about this problem, and for another $500 for the part, plus labor, they could fix it. At this point we had already spent at least $750 and dozens of hours trying to fix a $3000 fridge and had no confidence anyone could repair it properly, so this afternoon our new Frigidaire will be installed and the LG hauled away; and Im writing this review. I bought an LG refrigerator from Home Depot in August 2007. It is the freezer on the bottom model. After about two months I noticed dripping in my basement. The ice maker plastic hose had a pin hole right behind the fridge and water was leaking down into the basement and onto the I beam. The whole beam was filled with water. Home Depot came and replaced the plastic hose. Then it leaked under my new laminate flooring and ruined a section of it.I just shut the ice maker and the water to it off. I use old fashioned ice cube trays because I am afraid to have another leak. I also have had to replace the crispers in the refrigerator section twice as the plastic keeps cracking, making the crisper unusable. The new ones dont quite fit and are relatively expensive. I need a new one again. Thats 5 repairs in 6 years. I cant afford new fridge but this one is a piece of junk.

The labor was not under warranty, but the part apparently was. Well, that would require even a semblance of customer service or honestly or even a mild attempt to care about a customer or fix a product. What I got was a vague reference to maybe having someone CALL ME in 2-3 weeks to MAYBE get out there and maybe fix the compressor. First, I was put through a bunch of dumb tests and waiting -- because yeah, a refrigerator SQUEALING, thawing out, and dripping ice down the door could be caused by leaving the door open for 5 minutes. NOT. And I didnt. Still, it took me a while -- playing LGs games -- to realize that nobody has any responsibility or integrity. That they lie as quickly and effortlessly as some folks breathe, and that every single person you talk to will give you a different answer or solution -- absolute no one will mean what they say or follow through. And they could care less how much of your time, effort, or money they cost you (I lost $800 worth of food; spent over 7 hours on the phone, talking to over 12 different people, many not even in the USA, being promised things that never happened -- only to be shuffled to someone else; being referred to their own repair companies THAT DID NOT EXIST! (Literally, I called all three of the companies myself because I couldnt wait 2-3 weeks for maybe. One, the guy was out for the next month or so because of surgery -- yeah, glad I didnt wait 2-3 weeks on him; one, they said they stopped working with LG years ago and wished theyd quit telling people otherwise; and the last one - phone disconnected). Yet, I could not get anyone at LG to understand why I wasnt willing to wait 2-3 weeks for someone at one of these 3 companies to call me!!!In the send you to ten different people, all of who will lie to you game (oh, and prepare to sit on hold for 30 minutes or more at a time, just to be rerouted to someone and start all over... again... and again...), I was told they had a repairman in the area and were sending him to my house now. Please hold. Please hold. Please hold. only to waste another hour and be told I needed to wait on one of the three companies. This went on for 3-4 days!!! Meanwhile, I tried to call an independent repairman -- my family actually needs to eat -- and what I heard from professional after professional after professional was a NIGHTMARE. No one would work with LG. LG does not pay their claims. LG compressors break all the time. Dealing with LG is a virtual nightmare. Etc! I finally found a company with a certified LG repairman (He used to WORK FOR LG) who said he would work on the warrantied part and seek payment for it from LG. (LG had already given me a useless approval # which I could use with one of those three companies. Are we really back to calling the unicorns and Santa Claus again -- newsflash, idiots! They dont exist!) Anyhow, after another day of dealing with a bunch of representatives not in the USA, I got a hold of someone who walked me through a ton of steps in order to send a pre-approved service authorization to the company I FOUND -- it would be in the companys email box in 24-48 hours. Guess what? Surprise - surprise. There was no email authorization; they never sent anything; they never called me back; and I guess they just lied at the time.So I finally paid to have the private company come out and check the refrigerator -- bad compressor. Of course, read the reviews -- everyone is saying this, so LG must know it! Well the company tried to get a hold of LG to schedule a date to fix the compressor -- they had my approval # and told LG I had been given authorization to use them and the authorization was supposed to be in their email box a week ago (oh, and they made me call the company and get a bunch of information, including this email address for this authorization email that never existed. Maybe they do this ** for fun??? Anyhow, the company Id hired could never get hold of anyone at LG -- no surprise there -- so finally went through their world-class (world being literal - class being a JOKE) customer service, only to be told that there would be no authorization because *I* the customer had an appointment scheduled for next week with one of those three original companies. ARE - YOU - KIDDING - ME!?! No one ever called me or scheduled any appointment, and as we all know -- those 3 companies were bogus to begin with. What the ** kind of operation is LG running. This is beyond PATHETIC. Its fraudulent. Moronic. Inexcusable. Sad thing is: I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN, no matter how large or small, and Ive already told everyone I know to AVOID THE REFRIGERATORS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Good going, LG.RUN - DONT WALK - AWAY FROM ANY LG REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER. Or at least call half a dozen appliance repair companies and ask what they have to say about this product -- youll get a surprising earful. LG has no customer service, and they couldnt give two ** if their customers ever get anything fixed, let alone in a timely fashion. If you have 20 - 30 - 40 hours to be given the runaround, to sit on hold, to be lied to and shuffled, to speak to folks all over the world who will each tell you a new and ever-more inventive lie, then by all means, buy this refrigerator. But if you think any part of it will ever break, then youre on your own. LG should be ASHAMED. And I hope theres a class-action lawsuit at some point because they need to be exposed.

The knobs were broken. Originally, I thought it was just my stove. I have since found out that this is an enormous problem for LG. I returned home over Thanksgiving to smell gas. My elderly mother had made some tea while I was at the store. She was visiting for the holiday and was unfamiliar with the stove. She thought she had turned it off, but because the knobs were spinning on the posts, the stove only appeared to be off. It was in fact filling the room with gas. While I was opening the windows, my mother was apologizing while rushing to the stove to turn it off in her embarrassment. Knowing what was about to happen, I lurched across the room and grabbed her hand before she reached the stove.Of course, if she had turned the knob at that time, it would have passed the ignition point and exploded the gas that was filling the room. Instead, I left the gas on at its lowest setting while opening all the doors and windows. 10 minutes later, when I aired the kitchen, I crouched down and turned off the stove. I wrote LG six weeks ago and they have not responded. I think many people would do what my mother nearly did and exploded their house. This product is deadly. It is just a matter of time before it kills people. LG needs to proactively seek out every stove with this defect and fix it or recall the product.

I have an LG F1443WD and after two and a half months of use, appeared at the end of the wash, one of tattered cuffs/cut. Someone else had knowledge of the same situation? If yes, what was the official response that LG presented? Damaged clothing as shown in photo.
