I’ve dealt with many terrible companies in my time but never one as bad as LG. I bought a refrigerator with an extended warranty and the compressor (main component) died on me within that time period. Called LG to help. A very friendly agent set up an appointment with me with a company based in NJ called “Rising”. No sooner did I hang up did Rising call me back to tell me they do not service my area and they have to cancel my appointment. This is when the real trouble happened.I called back LG and they referred me to my next two non-existent authorized dealers. When faced with the reality that no one would fix my warranty refrigerator, I sought out my own resolution. Called LG to get an authorization letter for an “outside” repair company to fix my fridge. After 24-48 hours I called back. They told me they had cancelled the request for an outside vendor and made an appointment with Rising service again. I called them again and was told once again that they do not service my area and they intend to keep cancelling whatever appointment LG makes for me. I called back LG. This circle of events occurred again in the exact same order THREE times. I tired to escalate to management and got more runaround. With no refrigeration for a week I finally decided to pay out of pocket and sue them later. Here’s what I found out though. A little INSIDER SECRET - LG does not pay the authorized companies and that’s why no one wants to do their jobs. So take it from me. So far I’m out 3/4 of the value of the fridge in a little over 3 years - do NOT buy an LG product because if it goes bad you’re out of luck. Learn from my mistake.

I have read through almost every comment on here and have to agree with how dissatisfied I am and what a disappointment these machines are. Class action suit please! I have the squeaky tub and mildew/musty smell I cant get rid of. Additionally, hot water is non-existent. It seems in my machine and I cant seem to select Sanitize no matter what I press. Oh, and bleach? I cant tell you how many loads of clothes have been ruined because the bleach does not fully wash out of the dispenser in one wash. It leaks into other loads afterwards.Seriously, a class-action suit needs to be started. How is it that a company / product has so many widespread complaints and concerns with mostly nothing being done about these problems and yet are still able to market their products without any consequences? Lastly, Sandy who has commented on this page is obviously affiliated with LG. I could go on and on with many valid points decimating her comments, but suffice it to say that a washing machine that you have to baby to keep running is a piece of garbage.

LG WM3270CW. I am on my 2nd one in two weeks, March, 2018. Mine is a stackable. I am refusing a 3rd one, what a pile of crap!!! If you wash a fuzzy double blanket or anything that sucks up water it shakes like a research monkey and has a LOUD freight train noise coming out of it. You CANNOT do a full load of anything that gets heavy when wet, I bought this to replace a smaller one, and now I cant even put in a half a load. Home Depot has been very good about two returns. I will not get a 3rd one, you cannot do heavy loads in a front load. I would not recommend, I did read the reviews and all I can say is BS? Get the extended warranty because youre going to need it, FYI you need to buy a new stacking kit EVERY TIME you have this serviced and you will have to unstack yourself. The kit gets bent due to the glue when you pull them apart.

LG REFRIGERATOR AND ICE MAKER has been one of the worst experiences of my 63 years. It looks nice but try getting anything fixed or working period. After having a repair man out to troubleshoot the problem the LG company refused my repairman any help or input at all as he was not an LG licensed repairman. We live in Montana and the closest LG place was 3 hours away. That LG company repairman said if we would hall it to Bozeman they would look at it. My repairman has an excellent reputation and works on every other brand and an Appliance Repair Business. He now refuses work on anything LG as he has had NO luck getting any assistance from LG or their repairmen. Nor have I, as an LG Customer. Two weeks after replacing the ice maker, which never worked again, the refrigerator went completely out. BE SURE TO LOOK ONLINE AT ALL THE LAWSUITS AND HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS STORIES OF THE SAME TROUBLES AND WORSE!!!! Be warned!!!

HATE this machine. I have never done a load of wash where the error light didnt come on for unbalanced load. It even comes on when doing the tub cleaning with no clothing in the tub. To get a load done it takes hours cause when I go to check the error is light up, so rearrange, start again.......This happens two to three times. Ive tried loading the wash around the edges, in the middle, etc. NO luck. Wish I never purchased this machine. I feel Im stuck now cause it wasnt cheap.

We bought a LG TrueBalance washer/dryer set 4 years ago and have several issues with the washer. The first was when the motherboard went out in the middle of a cycle, locking clothes and standing water inside. After almost 3 weeks of waiting, the board was replaced and our stinky clothes were free. Now 2 years later every single load has issues spinning. It will spin for a minute or two and then flash UE. I rearrange and it does the same thing 2 minutes later. After a few weeks of this I shut it off and let the dryer do more of the work with a complete load of wet clothes. I strongly dont recommend this set to anyone unless do not have anything better to do but sit in the laundry room and watch the washer. Horrible set for the price!!!

In 2007 we purchased a French Door LG refrigerator model #LFD22860ST. Since our purchase we have experienced a number of issues (1st the models efficiency rating is only valid when the ice maker is turned off; 2nd the freezer compartment developed rust on the metal baskets after the first year; but most recently the white plastic water line attached to the appliance developed a pinhole leak which resulted in destroyed ceiling tiles in our basement recreation room). An LG qualified repairman was called immediately but his service resulted in further leaks causing additional damage to our basement ceiling just 3 days after the initial fix. So next a qualified plumber was called. The problem was solved, but that solution lasted only 2 months when the fix to the original problem appeared again resulting in further damage to the basement. We feel the quality and reliability of this appliance is seriously in question and would like LG to supply us with a replacement refrigerator from another manufacturer of our choosing at a cost equal to the price of our original LG plus money spent to repair damages to our basement resulting from their inferior product. At this point, I would not accept a replacement LG refrigerator. Lastly, it saddens us to abandon this LG product line as we have experienced very good success with other LG products. Currently we own both an LG washing machine and an LG clothes dryer. We certainly hope they do not follow the same path as this particular appliance.

I will NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought at HHGregg in August of 2012 (Model WT5170HV) has been nothing but a disappointment. LG customer service is terrible! They blame the owner for any problems. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. The area around the bleach dispenser rusted when it was two years old. They did replace the top but when the service tech arrived he just laughed. I do a lot of this, he said with a smile. Your new top will do the same thing in a year or two. Gee, what a vote of confidence. I purchased an extended service plan and Im glad I did. The washer controls do not work. Two new system boards are on order. The repairman told me that without the warranty it would be an expensive repair. He noticed the rust and told me I needed to call LG and get an APM# so the top can be replaced. Just waiting on the new system boards and taking my laundry to the laundromat. Now, just two years later the rust is back but now it is even worse. The washer is rusting around the bleach dispenser and the entire top of the lid opening. Rust is falling into the wash. I phoned LG and was told that they only replace the top once. I must be getting water and bleach on the metal and that I should be wiping it every time I complete a wash. I told the customer service advisor that this was impossible since the rust was under the top. I got nowhere with them and was advised I could get it replaced at my expense. Do you want rust on your clothes? Really? Then why does use water and bleach! Is no liquid is ever supposed to touch it? LG told me the rust is just a cosmetic issue. After owning this washer a little over three years, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! I paid a large amount of money for this machine thinking I was buying the best Top of the Line. What a joke! Serviceman told me after he repairs it I will be lucky to get five years; the average lifespan of this washer. The washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, but it only covers the motor. I will NEVER PURCHASE another LG product. Buyer beware LG. Do yourself a favor. Buy an inexpensive machine without all the bells and whistle. You will be much better off. The service tech offered that advice.

I cant find my receipt so Im not sure exactly how long we have owned our LG Tromm washer and dryer. (Im going to guess about 9 years) The washer has practically give us issues the entire time we have owned it. From smelling moldy to not draining. I will NEVER own another LG washer again! Much less a front loading washer.

I purchased an LG washer in July now having nothing but problems with uneven loads and my whites turning yellow. Repair guy seemed agitated he had to come repair my machine which he did not do. He turned the machine on and then started complaining about LG washers and this same problem and left my load of sopping wet sheets in washer and said ordered parts will be back on in a week to fix. So what am I supposed to do with the wet clothes leave them in there to smell up my new washer? Not happy. Want a replacement or monies returned.

This washing machine (LG WT1101CW) blew me away when they delivered it. The controls are up front so you dont have to reach back to set them. I put quilts and towels to wash and it remained balanced which was a problem with my old washer. It is very quiet and spin dries so fast that the clothes almost feel dry. What a washer. LG customer service told me if I ever have a problem call a certain number and put the phone next to the washer and it will diagnose the problem from signals from the washer.

LG model LFX2597ST - Had 3 companies change out mother boards, ice makers, board in back of the refrigerator! Bought refrigerator in Sept 2014, a week later shelf and plastic cracked, and plastic dispenser of ice broke. Was fixed and two months later it broke again along with the ice maker slowing down in making ice. Its taken three months of constant calling, waiting parts, trying to fix and issues are getting worse. Talked to supervisor. She sent letter to main office and I just keep getting the run around. Almost a year and fridge still not fixed. I think they just dont care about the irritation of people spending hard earned money and should cover the warranty when its not even a year. I am so upset now that when I hear LG or see it, I feel I became a victim. It hurts and feel sad that a company who I used to like could do this! ALL I ASK IS WHAT NOW. I hate what the company is doing and who can help us consumers? My year is almost up! We even sent copy of receipt from Home Depot on Windward parkway in Alpharetta Ga. They never solved anything for us!

I also had a LG refrigerator that only lasted 5 years. Terrible products. So I saw the Magnetron has a 10 year warranty so I called and they told me on the phone, it would cost me 125.00 right there for the service call and the technician would come out and replace the Magnetron and if it was over 30 min I would pay 35. Extra. When the guy came he looked at the microwave and said, It is the Magnetron and I ordered it but it did not come yet, and you owe me 35.00. I will be back in two weeks with the part.I am furious. I asked him what that 35.00 was for and why did he come out without the part and he said, I charge 160, so are suppose to pay me 35.00 no matter what. 1. Why did he come here without the part? 2. This is not what they told me on the phone. 3. I called them to complain and they said exactly the same thing to me and then when I asked for a manager, the CS person said, we have to review your call and you have to pay him for ordering the part, and then he said you have to pay him for extra time and then he said something else. When I pointed out all the various things he said, he said, We have to say these things. He refused to put me through to a manager. He said, We will call you tomorrow and review your call. Which is nuts since he said the exact same thing to me and the service guy said something different. Also the CS rep said, Well 70-80% of the time the service tech brings the Magnetron. So I pay extra time because I am in the 20%. Also NO ONE SAID I needed to pay another 35.00 when he came. They said, If he goes over 30 minutes. So, so wrong.

This has been ongoing since October 2017. We purchased a brand new refrigerator costing us $1500 and it stopped working! LG has sent technicians out to repair the unit however it is not repaired! They have to come out over and over and over again every few months to “repair it”! During this time we are living out of coolers! I I finally got fed up and contacted the corporate office today since my twins have a 103 fever and I’m once again living out of a cooler until they return next week! I spoke to a representative named Milton who was extremely sarcastic and rude! He deemed the unit fixable? Fixable... They have to service it every few months so apparently is defective! He also stated that this was no cost to us! REALLY??? HOW??? It cost to us to continuously miss work over not to mention lose hundreds of dollars worth of groceries! He deemed the refrigerator fixable! They REFUSED to replace it! I’m blown away! BEWARE of the horrible customer service! Wish someone could HELP!!!

Doesnt clean clothes, doesnt fill with enough water, drains to empty when soaking clothes, has to be filled on bulky setting to cover clothes with water then changed to proper setting when clothes are covered with water, with bulky clothes they usually arent balanced properly after wash cycle and if you arent there to balance the machine it will refill, spin and refill endlessly until the machine thinks its balanced. Smart machine?...hah! I have wasted so much time and water on this piece of garbage. I wish I had my 1954 Frigidaire.

I bought this expensive refrigerator 4 years ago thinking that the more you spend the more reliable. However so untrue. Last year during thanksgiving It broke down. I bought an extra warranty but LG said the compressor was not warranted and I’d have to pay for it myself. I paid for it alright. Ever since the compressor went out I’ve had to pay for a repair man to come to fix it 4 times now. I came home yesterday and found water on the floor. For as much as I have paid on repairs I could have had a brand new refrigerator. So now I’m going to be wise and stay away from LG.

We purchased an LG fridge from Home Depot on the 19th of January 2011. This fridge went hot and destroyed most of our food on July 13th, 2011. I called LG and they ended up getting a technician out to the house that afternoon. LG said the issue was the control board, but the tech thought there was more. He ordered a compressor as well. Home Depot gave us a fridge to use in the mean time. They returned to fix this on the 26th of July. The panel didnt solve the issue so the tech went to install the compressor and found there was no freon in the system. LG didnt believe this was the problem after two days of waiting, so the tech had to come back on Friday on the 29th of July to install an evaporator with UV chemical in it. The fridge had a bunch of freon on the charge side indicating a blockage somewhere in the system. We had to run the fridge for all weekend and then late Monday, came back to find it still was not cooling or working. LG, at this time, said they may replace it. After a bunch of calls to LG and getting nowhere, we finally are being told they will replace it. This is another 7-10 business days with no fridge and no results. LG informed us that they will NOT pay for destroyed food. I would not purchase another LG product. We have 4 other LG products in our house not including this fridge. The customer service sucks and response times are unacceptable.

My drum cracked like a lot of others did along the front seam. I ignored it for awhile until the noise got too loud. I took the drum out. If you do this, keep track of the sequence that the parts came off and what screws go where. Its not that hard to do. I cut a thin piece of sheet metal to cover the crack and along the outer rim of the drum, drilled 5/32 holes and pop riveted in place. I ground down the pop rivets so they wouldnt catch on the clothes. The dryer is back in service and the total cost for the repair was $2.75. But have no doubt about it, LG products are nothing but cheap overpriced junk. Do not buy!

I purchased the LG Smart Drum top-loading washing machine a few years ago. The clothes come out very wrinkled. I now put almost all my laundry in the dryer; it helps remove the severe wrinkling. I used to just hang clothes up after washing them. Now it takes more energy: my own, and the electricity. I just finished ironing a top which I have had for well over a decade, used to just remove it, nice and clean, from my beloved Kenmore front loader, and hang it up. This was the case with all my clothes. I purchased my machine at The Brick, had to leave the country for a few months, and when I returned it was too late to have the unit replaced. Cant really fault The Brick, but they should know these machines are not-so-great. I have read the other reviews on this site, and my experience is not as truly awful as many others. But I will stay well away from LG in the future, and do more homework before purchasing.

I purchased the LG Probake gas range 2 1/2 years ago. Of course after a year the warranty was up and I had to have it repaired. It cost 300.00 to repair and it is very hard to find someone to work on it. I was told LG doesnt have spec sheets for anyone to repair their products. It makes it hard. I was also told that it is hard to find parts as LG Discontinues them frequently. Got it fixed in December of 2019 and here we are again. The convection oven stopped working and was shooting out flames. I researched and found out this always fails on this range. Totally disappointed. Couldnt find anyone to repair it in my area and I tried to order the part for it and spent an additional 80.00. Still can not get it to work. Now I am at the point of buying a different range and definitely wont be an LG. I am so upset. I wasted my money. It was the first brand new range I purchased for my family and I have only had it for 2 and a half years.

After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer from Home Depot about 18 months ago. I got their top model at the time top loading. After about 15 months I noticed the paint around bleach dispenser beginning to bubble up and so I removed the blue tray only to find machine has been rusting. I thought perhaps its because when pouring bleach we sometimes get it between the plastic and machine. Then when looking under, I noticed the entire machine has massive rust buildup to where its flaking and falling on the plastic edges of the drum. After contacting LG about this issue they pretty much said Im out of warranty and oh well. At the rate of the rust Im guessing another 2 years and metal clips / screws will pretty much break during a spin cycle and nothing I can do about it except share this troubling issue to save someone else thousands of dollars on LGs poorly protected product against moisture. That 10 year warranty sticker is such a gimmick since these wont make it past 5 years with the crazy rust buildup. I did some research online and found that many other users have gone through the same frustration. I hope all the negative reviews will get LG to better insulate metal surfaces in their machines. Even my car comes with 10 year 100,000 mile warranty against rust yet washer has no rust warranty?

I purchased an LG refrigerator. After about 1 1/2 year, the fuse blows. Now you would expect to just replace the fuse, but no. The design of the fridge is that you have to replace the entire circuit board costing hundreds. I dont know why, but I decided to do a little research. I went to YouTube and found a video of how to replace a fuse bypass circuit avoiding a big cost. My fiance and myself did this. Total cost is around $25.00 (gotcha LG) and we have no experience. If you can follow directions, turn the power off to the fridge, of course, and use your own judgement. I would do so again. Why do we think they fix it to where you cant pay to have a fuse replaced (which I have never heard of going out on a refrigerator that fast anyway)? So that maybe a company can makes lots of money by replacing the entire boards instead of just a $1 or $2 fuse. Just want everyone to know and to the person who did the YouTube video, thank you so much! And to LG, no thanks. I will not buy another LG product (lifes good). Life would be better without defective appliances.

I bought the largest refrigerator with an ice crusher to provide ice and food for my disabled husband. He is disabled with Parkinsons from exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam. I am his sole caregiver. He is on many medications and a special diet so I needed a reliable refrigerator. At first this unit was great but the condenser died and we lost all our food and his medications. We had bought the LG long term warranty. Their warranty department is not connected to their service department but their service department does not have the warranty information. After many calls for 2 weeks to both warranty and service departments they finally sent a service provider who took another 2 weeks to fix the unit. The service provider did not receive good information from LG and kept asking for information that I did not have. Finally, the refrigerator was fixed. Two months later the refrigerator is not cooling again. Again I am having to call both warranty and service departments. It has been a week since the unit broke and the warranty and service departments have not even called a service provider to fix the refrigerator. I learned last time I have to call everyday to get results. Their call center is in the Philippines so their English is very difficult to understand so I have to ask them to repeat almost everything which is frustrating to me and to the call center operators so we do not get along. Both these situation have been very costly in loss of food and medications and frustrating in their inefficiency in dealing with broken refrigerators. Isnt that what they are there for? Why isnt their system designed to immediately deal with warranty needs????

I have owned my LG range for almost a year. I have no complaints as far as how my range works and with that part I am happy. But, there have been 3 separate instances where I have smelled gas in my home only to find one of my knobs turned just slightly enough to let gas leak out. For this feature, I am very dissatisfied and I would not recommend this range to anyone. I am constantly checking the knobs to make sure they are off.I called LG as many others have regarding this issue and they advised me to check on Amazon for some child protective covers, at my cost. I told them this was not good enough. I had bought all new kitchen appliances, all LG and have just purchased a new dryer which is LG also. It was very poor customer service but when I voiced how I felt, she offered to send a serviceman to my home to look at the knobs and if needed, he would try to fix the problem. Buyer beware, especially if you have children, this range is dangerous to have in your home.

We just got this machine in last Friday. After doing a few loads over the weekend, I was wondering if there was something wrong. The black control panel is very hard to read! It has gray lettering on a black background. I called LG to see if there was a backlight that wasnt working, and was told that there is no backlight. Seems to me that LG has mad a very basic design error with the panel. It should have white lettering, as do most other machines with this type of panel. I actually made myself a vinyl overlay with white lettering to make it more usable for myself. Something that LG needs to address ASAP!

My mother who lives in LA got a high tech LG fridge about 4 years ago which 2 months ago its compressor stopped operating and from that time she has made 6 different appointments with LG customers service to fix it! Every time they go and have look at the fridge and they say well, its the compressor and we dont have it with us!!! Thats all they do. Then my mom has to call them again and book another appointment which usually takes 2 weeks for them to appear, and the same story goes on! Its such a shame that the summer is going to finish and my mom couldnt use her fridge for 2 months. I wonder if LGs customer service has any ideas about living without a fridge in the summer time at all??? Its while my mom paid about $4000 for an useless huge box to sit in her kitchen! Thats not acceptable, frustrating and were not only gonna stop buying LG products, but also well get a lawyer to fix this problem ASAP!!!!

LG washing machine broke after 3 years in a household of 2 adults and our 18th month old daughter... No reason why except defective machine. Customer service no help. After dealing with them our household will NEVER purchase another LG product again... The machine was very expensive and purchased in 2013. Its been leaking on our brand new wooden floor for a year. Our floor was completely ruined the underlayment as well. No one here (Marthas Vineyard) will service LG machines. Were going to dump the machine... Biggest waste of money. I Googled it and TONS of other people are having the same issue with LG washers. I smell a class action suit.

Updated on 12/25/2020: DO NOT BUY LG UNTIL YOU READ THIS. 2ND COMPLAINT. LG has not followed up on resolving issue with our LG refrigerator as Promised. They have not responded to emails and only way to contact is through Consumer Affairs. We used unit 53 days and broke down. LG says not repairable and have to Reorder a New unit 11/20/2020, with a delivery date 1/25/2021. Louis, webmaster for LG, assured within 10 business days it would be resolved. I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. LG should provide FREE 5 year ESP plan with units to Prove that LG has Trust and Confidence in their Products.

I bought an LG ThinQ side by side in March of 2021 and July 2021 the compressor no longer works. It is not making ice nor dispensing water, the bottom half of the fridge freezes as well as the bottom of the freezer. I have been waiting patiently for the fridge to be repaired but when they came to repair it he explained that he would have to take the entire back off which will release all kinds of fumes into the air which could make us sick. Seeing as though we only had the fridge for 4 months we felt LG should replace it or return the money we spent for it or at least replace the money I have lost in groceries. Needless to say I am still without a refrigerator a month later, they claim my fridge was fixed 2 weeks ago and the tech came this past Saturday, my food was spoiled (after I spent 600 in food 3 days prior) and I have had to spend money daily to feed my family. LG is terrible to work with and needless to say their product is too. They sold me a lemon and now I am stuck with it and I have to purchase a new fridge. Thank you, LG for absolutely nothing!!!!

I have been using LG brands for years and a very well known brand. Always changing the needs for the consumer, and all about making great and outstanding products. The refrigerator we purchased was a side by side, and I like how it was stainless and easy to clean. Also had the water and ice dispenser. Also kept everything cold and or frozen very well. Made veggies last a little longer in the crispers. The only thing I didnt like was there was not enough room in the side by side for the freezer section and the refrigerator got overcrowded at times. Especially shopping for kids during the summers.

Purchased May 2016. As others mention here, started failing a few months ago by not making ice. Now not cooling as expected. LG CS asked for a service call $110 to tell me the compressor is bad and that I am out of warranty. They told me the compressor is warranted but I would have to pay ~$500 for installation. After they forced “The Hulk” out of me, they asked me to upload my invoice and they were going to request full warranty coverage. A week and multiple calls later, no resolution. I paid little over $3k for this fridge, expecting at least 10 years out of it. Please avoid this company...

Purchased refrigerator in 2012, LFX31925ST. Start with pros. Purchase for the large space and front features. I have purchased many of LG products. The customer service is ok, but they dont stand by their product... From day one I had an issue with the ice maker followed by the motor make noise. Not to mention the glide server drawer stopped sliding, it seems like the cheap plastic wheel broke off. Well they came out to service motor, but said ice maker was not part the warranty! They replaced the motor, but two years later the unit stopped cooling and freezing. Guess what?? The motor stopped. I called for the same issue. They want charge for service $400. I had the product for only 5 years and already is giving out like its 20 years old. What makes it worst is they dont stand by their product. Dont be fooled by their 10-year warranty. It only covers parts, they will squeeze cost out of the service charge.

Updated on 05/02/2021: This is my second review on the same LG electric range. This range has not worked correctly since the first month or two after we bought it! The temperature is NEVER at the correct temperature, the fan never stops blowing even though it’s in regular bake so that every baked good comes out too dark, and the cleaning feature has NEVER worked correctly. I have contacted LG and after them blowing me off the first time, I came here to warn people away from this garbage LG range. LG finally, after contacting me because of my first review, had two different repair companies come to my house. The first company had made seven appointments to attempt to see what was wrong. Four different repairmen came and each one gave us a different story and ordered the wrong parts, resulting in them having to order something else and come at a later date. The second company sent one repairman and he replaced some parts also and it seemed ok, but it’s still all over the place temperature wise and the fan never goes off, still!I do not use the convection setting, the fan should not be burning the tops of my food. This supposed attempt at LG repairing their defective appliance has been going on (this time) since November 2020. As soon as I can afford it, I’m buying a new range and rolling this one down the driveway for the garbage man. People, stay away from LG’s electric ranges, especially this model.Original Review: My LG electric range is only about 18 months old and I really think I wasted my money. I’ve cleaned it a few times a year and all it does is blow all of the dirty stuff onto the door and I always have a layer of black burnt on mess that I have to soak off. The gasket around the door is severely stained from the black gunk that just gets baked on as the oven cleans. I called LG about a year ago and they argued with me and told me to clean the gasket myself when the owner’s manual states not to. When I told the person which page to go to in the manual, they put me on hold forever. When they came back they said they would send out a new gasket that I could install myself. The gasket has yet to arrive, and the promised call-back from a supervisor never happened.Today, I cleaned my oven again and, yep, I’m soaking of the black layer with baking soda and water, the gasket is even more stained now. The oven fan seems to run non-stop, as if it is on convection not regular bake. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed that I proudly announced that I had just bought an LG range in the beginning. How can companies keep their business with such an inadequate level of customer service and defective products? I guess I’ll just be one of the crowd that I didn’t know existed until I searched for possible answers to this defective range’s issues. Never, never, never, again, LG! Keep your junk. My $1000 Whirlpool Gold could run laps around this piece of garbage, I wish I’d never replaced it.

Top load washing machine wt1201c - This washing machine I thought would be great. It turns out that the clothes would be self-balanced. It work for while but now I have to constantly watch it and rearrange the clothes throughout the washing process. What a pain! It takes hours to wash one load. We purchased an LG LDF7551ST dishwasher in June 2012 for $800. While under warranty, in June 2013, it stopped working (Error message E1) and needed service and parts replaced. In September 2013, the same issue occurred and the dishwasher needed to be serviced and similar parts replaced. This happened a third time this past Tuesday, July 15. This is obviously defective merchandise and LG refuses to replace the machine. They say that they are doing me a favor by extending the warranty on the parts being replaced. Some for the second and possibly now the third time.I have, to date, needed to take time off from work five times: once each for the appliance company to come to evaluate the problem and once for them to replace the parts. In addition, I have been on the phone with LG for numerous hours both on hold and trying to get some kind of resolution to this matter. The managers I spoke with both said they are at the highest level of decision making and refused to replace this machine. They told me I could write a letter to LG but it would come to them and nothing more would be done and I would not even get a response. I purchased a defective machine which should be replaced. I do not have the time nor patience to have to deal with this issue every few months.

Update on 10/09/2020: This is a follow-up to the review I posted on April 5, 2020 and still has not been resolved. LG replied to have this issue repaired but due to COVID we were not going to allow a mechanic at the time to come into the house. LG has since not responded.Original Review: Like other reviewers, the same front left element of my induction range stopped heating. We are having the same problem and the range has barely been used and was purchased at the end of February 2019 but not installed and started using until May 2019. I have also tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in but that did not help. We paid over $2,000 and the limited one-year warranty expired which is disappointing for how expensive this unit is. Very disappointed in the quality of this unit and we purchased several other LG appliances unfortunately.

Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this
Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this machine back in the summer of 2011. It seemed to be a great product and you had the ability to washing extremely large loads of laundry at a time. But once something goes wrong then you are in trouble! The washing machine began throwing an error code nonstop during a laundry cycle which made doing a single load of laundry next to impossible. It would take me 3-4 hours to do ONE SINGLE LOAD due to the error code. It constantly kept refilling the tub with water and attempting to continue the cycle then it would knock itself off balance and start all over again. Finally I had enough and called LG to see what the issue was. Talk about an awful customer service. I could barely understand the person and finally was able to get that there was a recall which was a software update from what the person had said and that they would contact a technician around my area to come service the machine (do the software update). That was fine by me and so I waited around to hear from the technician. A few days later I got a call from the technician in my area and they said that LG had contacted them and once they received the part they would come out and fix it. How in the world I went from needing a software update to ordered a part when no one had even come and looked at the washer was beyond me but I simply said ok and went about my day. Here is when my nightmare with LG really began. The part apparently was on back order and they told me after going a month without being able to use the machine that the part would be in within the next few weeks. After the date they had given me was passed I decided to call them back to find out what in the world was going on which they would only reply saying that the part wouldnt be in until the end of the next month. Im sorry but I cant go without a washing machine for over a month and they wanted me to go without one for over 2 months?!! To make this story short after getting absolutely nowhere with their terrible customer service I ended up making a phone call to Sears who did have the part and sent it out to me that same day. I got the part and was able to get my washer fixed (hopefully for good fingers crossed). LG was not pleased that I got the part from another source and tried to convince me to cancel the order by stating that it could be the wrong part even though it was the same part that they claimed was the issue for the machine not working in the first place. Since I refused to cancel the order and wait on them to decide when they wanted to ship the part out, they refused to reimburse me for the part and were very rude. Please do some research before deciding on purchasing ANY PRODUCT from LG. I have dealt with plenty of customer service centers and this is by far the worst service center ever! The people you get connected to are nothing but rude and not one bit helpful if you have an issue with a product (especially washing machines!). They should really change their slogan from Lifes Good to Lifes Greedy because that is exactly what this company is! This washing machine is total junk and I ended up spending a lot of money (on top of the cost of the washing machine) to fix this piece of crap that is truly not all that old. The parts for this machine are apparently always on back order and next to impossible to get to fix these junky products. I have had multiple places tell me that they no longer service LG appliances because it is too difficult to get the parts to work on them and that LG is a difficult company to work with and I sure learned my lesson after having to deal with them multiple times! They do not care about their customers like they claim and have no problem making junky appliances and putting ridiculous price tags on them. I wish that I would have did even a quick search about the products before I had purchased this machine but I now know for future reference and will not be making the same mistake again. I recommend buying a different brand and staying away from LG!!! It will save you money and stress I promise!!!

About 75% of the loads will experience an out of balance error. The washer will attempt to recover by entirely filling with water, agitating and attempt to re-spin. Doesnt work. Even after re-positioning the load, rarely will it complete the cycle. We generally end up removing about half the load and try to spin in batches. We have to babysit the machine to prevent it from using more and more water. We will never buy another LG product and do our best to dissuade others from making the same mistake we did. The one star rating we had to give is more than this machine deserves.

I was very excited when my husband purchased me all new black stainless steel LG appliances for my new home in January 2017. I am now very angry that my Door in Door LG Refrigerator is not keeping our food cold in the freezer nor the fridge side. Technicians started being dispatched over four weeks ago and after each one leaves the fridge either works for 2 days or not at all. The compressor and motherboard has been replaced and I still dont have a working refrigerator. I am so fed up with this $1800 purchase, I just want my entire unit replaced. Our family of 4 are living out of a ice chest and 2 mini fridges. This is unacceptable! Ive lost hundreds of dollars of ruined groceries and had to purchase a 10 cubic ft fridge to sit in my kitchen until LG decided to actually fix my 2 year old refrigerator. We are extremely frustrated!

I bought a front loading LG washer. It was one of the more pricey washers. Ive had it for 3 years and now it sounds like a 747 airplane is landing in the laundry room - LOUD grinding in spin cycle. The cost to replace this out of warranty is astronomical as it is a tub and bearing replacement. I posted this to the LG website for reviews and they sent me back an email saying the review did not meet their standards. I guess that is because it was a poor rating?? I will not do business with this company again. My previous washer lasted 10 years and this one only three - think I will skip LG in the future. It would be interesting to know how much LG earns on their repair side of the business.

Bought LG dishwasher from Home Depot July 2020. Delivered in 9/2020, due to Covid. Tried to make it work in two of our family homes, multiple calls to service techs. Gave me a repair reference number, which eventually revealed that no LG service tech services in our area, and no local repair was found when LG looked for one. I have a new service number now, and twice they have said it will be 7 to 10 days before I know if I will get a refund. It is still under warranty. Stalling is just unbelievable. One time they said the Power Service Team would decide, now it has been given to Defective Returns Department. I do NOT want another one, if no one can service it even with a warranty.I sent an email to their CEO at LG. If I dont get my refund (sent all paperwork 2 times) I am going to ask consumer media TV people to publicly help me. We still dont have any dishwasher, want our money back to purchase a different one from anyone but LG. My situation sounds like one of another persons review.... That worries me that we wont get a fair solution.

I have purchased 5 major appliances from LG in the past 16 months. Several days ago, I noticed ice on some of my frozen products in the freezer. I think I have it narrowed down to a $6 ice tray. It seems bent and lower than level at left front of the plastic tray. When I called to report the problem, all LG wanted to hear was, Did you purchase an extended warranty? I did not. I received a call back a few days later informing me that LG will not help me. The best they will do is to refer me to a plumber at my cost. No, thanks!!! Purchased fridge 1/1/2016. After 3 months we had to have it repaired because ice was forming on fan, they also had to evacuate the system and add freon. Took a few weeks for that repair. At 7 months old it stopped cooling (compressor went bad). Lost $250 worth of food. We had to use one of their authorized servicers due to the warranty and it took 2 weeks for a repair. Almost 3 years to the day after having replaced the compressor, it went bad again. The part is covered, labor is not. It will cost me $300+ for the repair and another $200+ for spoiled food. I should not be spending this kind of money to repair a $3000 refrigerator after only 3 years and 7 months. I have read numerous reviews and this is a very common issue. There have been several class action lawsuits and apparently LG is aware of the subpar performance of this appliance, yet still sells it.

We bought a LG washer (top loading.) and dryer set at Best Buy, 20 June 201
We bought a LG washer (top loading.) and dryer set at Best Buy, 20 June 2016. They looked like quality products, but we were very mistaken. The washer spends a lot of time load sensing, almost as much as washing. A lot of clicking going on, and the tub jiggles back and forth for a few minutes before the washing cycle starts. Even with Extra Water, selected, it is barely enough to get the clothes thoroughly wet in the wash cycle. The clothes in the very middle of the tub never hardly move during the agitation, so they do not really get washed good. Then during this last week the washer goes from wash cycle to spin cycle. It forgets the rinse cycle. Also, we can only get hot water, never warm. For some reason the warm setting is always cold. It also takes a long time just to wash a load of clothes. The dryer will not dry our clothes completely, but we work around that problem, and we shouldnt have to. We had a Kenmore washer and dryer set for thirteen years, and never had many problems. I worked as a product designer for many years, and our company had strict rules for testing and designing before any new product was introduced to the market. I can hardly believe that LG is putting these defective new products out to the marketplace. Anyway, we are disgusted, and learned a very expensive lesson.

Had my dishwasher delivered 25 August 2016. On Halloween it gave error code AE. LG customer service said not their problem it is an installation issue. HHGregg came out and said no it is defective the installation was correct. The machine then gave code LE so I called LG back. They had a repair shop call me and I explained the codes. The shop ordered the parts. After days of calling they finally answered and said LG had not given them a delivery time frame and to call LG. I called LG and they said not their problem and to call shop. I called LG back and complained. After days of arguing they assigned another company because the first became unresponsive. The second and third company never contacted me and LG would say nothing but oh we are finding someone. Then I was referred to the refund/replacement department who said I would get a call on the decision. No call came so I had to call back. I called back and they said oh sorry we did not call you. It was rejected. I resubmitted because yet another repair shop was unresponsive. It is now 20 December and I may not get a decision until the 23rd. Then I get to wait 7-10 days for a refund or a new machine. LG is unwilling to accelerate the process or give me a supervisor who can make a decision. Every call I get a lecture about established procedures and timeframes that have to be followed. This problem dates back to April 2019. My 1 yr old LG Refrigerator stopped working so I called LG and they dispatched a Tech from A&E repair (Sears). The tech told me it was compressor and evaporator and would be about 1000 to fix. I told him I would contact LG as it should be under warranty. So he charge me 119 dollars and left. I called LG. They said it was in fact under warranty and shouldnt have been charged. They dispatched the same repair people 1 weeks later. So it now been 2wks. with no Refrigerator. Repair guy came and had to order the parts (why couldn’t he see the first guys diagnostic).2 more weeks without Refrigerator. Guy showed up and fixed the problem. Fast forward to July 15th 2019 dead refrigerator again, So I called LG. They assured me this would be fixed in a timely manner! Well they promised by the 31st and A&E confirmed it but to no avail, A&E rescheduled it for the 9th of AUG. Well after hours on phone they said they will come here on the 7th which is today. The guy shows up and looks at it, takes the back off and says we have more issues not just the compressor but the evaporator and he will need to order parts. So now it’s been 3 weeks and he can’t be back here until the 26th.We have been living out of ice chest to keep our food cold. We are a family of 4 so wasting a lot of time and money for ice, I am a heart patient and need to eat a certain way, so I can’t rely on fast food. This has been a complete nightmare. I spent over 2000 dollars on a product I thought was quality. On another note I purchased a LG 60 inch TV and it died 14 months later just out of warranty--1000 dollars down the drain. So much for Lifes Good.

The LG refrigerator is the one that we had chosen, mainly because the store clerk recommended it over the other ones. Also it has not only met my expectations but it has exceeded them by far. My favorite feature is the shelving that is available. I have enough room for all of my groceries right after a big shopping trip for the week. It is very convenient. Also it is very easy to clean so it stays looking brand new at all times. I also think it would be nice for the freezer to be on the bottoms rather than it be side by side.

On Tuesday, I receive an email with a repair date of Tuesday. I call LG to find out what time and they tell me that it has been cancelled because the repairman said I wasnt available. I never received a call and I actually have someone sitting at the residence all day this day. I am told that they can come out Friday (today). Fine, I have someone sitting there waiting. I call LG this morning. They are closed for the holiday. I call the repairman. This is my third call to the repairman who has not returned my calls. He is rude and states that they have no repairs scheduled for today. That maybe Monday or Tuesday he will call me. Easter is Sunday. I have 20 people coming over that I have to feed cold cereal because the oven doesnt work.I am getting a run around for a lemon. I have been waiting 20 years for a new range that works. I am not happy with this one. LG does not stand behind their product. When I continually call, I am confronted each time with a, what seems to be the problem. Evidence they do not keep records. Do NOT buy from LG. Its the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. I plan on opening a claim with the BBB and my local Attorney General.UPDATED ON 01/23/2015: I had written a previous review regarding the horrible service I received from LG. Since my original review, a service tech has come out to my home 4 more times to fix the same issue. LG refused to give me a new range. For the year I owned the range, 15 days was the waiting period I had to wait for the stove to be delivered. The first service call I did not have a working range for 6 weeks. The second service call, no range for 3 weeks. The third, no range for two weeks and the last service call, no range for 4 weeks. So out of the 12 month warranty, my range only worked less then 8 months. Buyer BEWARE. Every holiday last year was ruined because of this stupid range. Every holiday, I was without a range that worked and LG responded with, We are very busy with it being the holidays. The service tech, which was very nice and not working directly for LG but an independent that I made them send because the LG tech never showed up and never called. The tech told me that these stoves constantly have trouble because its a smart stove and the motherboard can break from a brown out or the simplest things. Run from LG.

I too have had the exact same problems that Karen of Fort Wright posted on Oct. 22, 2012. I also bought my LG French door refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago from Sears. I was planning to purchase a Kenmore, but i would have to wait almost 2 weeks which I couldnt do. The salesman talked me into getting the LG model (August 2009). After 14 months of use, the fridge stopped working (October 2010)! I didnt purchase the extended warranty (never have found them worth paying for as I have never needed to use one). Needless to say, I contacted Sears for repair. The repairman diagnosed a blown fuse, which meant replacing the circuit board also. Repair was approximately $300.00 in all. The fridge has been working fine until yesterday, Dec. 21, 2012! Of course because it is only 5 days before Christmas, we were fully stocked up and expecting a houseful of company on the 25th! We had to empty everything out! Run all of this food out to the garage, wipe the fridge down so it doesnt smell and hope the authorized repairman can stop by sometime Christmas eve. He is only working a half day, but I will try to make it. Talk about pressure! This is just terrible, terrible timing. A terrible waste of money and a terrible product! Save your self the headache and do not purchase LG! Not only expensive to repair (with or without the warranty), but extremely frustrating!

The knobs on the oven are not safe and are a fire hazard. All you have to do is lean against them a tad and the eyes will turn on. If you have children or animals you do not want this oven in your house. DO Not leave any items on the stove top because the knobs are so sensitive you will start a fire. They need to recall and fix this issue before a fire from this stove/oven causes deaths.

My 2-yr old LG fridge broke, LG authorized A&E to for the repair. I called A&E, took me 3 days to make an appointment. It was 2nd week of June, the appointment was 1st week of July. The repairman told me parts need to be replaced, they re-scheduled me for July 29. July 29 came and I got a phone call at 8 am telling me that the technician couldnt make it and told me to call A&E to reschedule. The earliest is August 24. I took a day off just to be home for the technician, and now this is my situation.

We purchased a $3,000 LG refrigerator September 5, 2015. On February 17th it stopped working. Did not cool. We called our home warranty company, after two visits it was determined it had to be repaired by a certified LG technician. In speaking with LG to set that up, there is only one certified technician in the area. Called them twice to set up an appointment, they never returned the call. In addition, the compressor and all the moving parts are covered by a 7 or 10 year warranty depending on what it is. LG tried to sell me another one-year warranty for $475.00. Searched the reviews on the fridge we have, all of them stated problems with service (i.e., taking off of work to meet the repairman multiple times) only to have the fridge do the same thing within a six month period.Long story short - we went and bought a Whirlpool (made in the USA). BUYER BEWARE, stay away from LG. It does not stand for Life is Good - it stands for Lotsa Grief! I will never buy an LG product of any type - their customer service is beyond awful, their products are not top quality even though you pay a wheelbarrow full of money for them. Before we bought another fridge we called a repairman that we used before for another appliance and asked him what to stay away from - he said LG, Samsung and GE. I wish I had that information before we bought the nightmare that is sitting my kitchen which will be replaced on Saturday.

My refrigerator has had a leak from Day One. I noticed that the drawer freezer was becoming difficult to close. Then, I noticed water spilling onto my floor. I dont have the ice maker hooked up, so I dont really know where the water comes from. When I looked I had 1-2 inches of ice in the bottom of my freezer compartment. I have now become accustomed to removing the freezer door once every couple of months and removing the ice. Now, it quit working entirely, and I dont know if I can find a repair man close.

Recd LG washer on Feb 07 from Lg warehouse. Around 4 PM Complaint to HD (we purchase from Cambridge store). On Feb 08 that washer front door is leaking. When we spoke to LG they ask us to troubleshoot the washer by doing a tub cycle. We question why we should be doing all this when in fact its a brand new washer which came directly from your warehouse, (CSR are horrible and rude). LG then said they will send a tech out to look at it. We cant have it replace since their policy is complaint must be file with 48 hrs. Our complaint was file with 24 hours. Today is Mar 03 and I still have a leaking washer. LG service are extremely Poor. Products are Inferior. Will never purchase or recommend LG appliance. Dont waste your money. Life is Grief. Thats what LG motto should be.

LG model LRG3081St gas oven preheats to 500 degrees when set on 350. Purchased this range from Lowes and they have been good to work with and have had their repairman to our home 2 times. The control board and temperature probe have been replaced but still over-preheats. In order to use oven I have to open door and try to manipulate the controls to keep at 350. The last repairman called LG Tech support and LG said that we will just have to wait 25-30 minutes to achieve the temp. of 350 as the oven has to settle into the right temp. Lowes appliance Dept. manager said that is ridiculous and I agree. I should not have to wait 30 minutes before using my oven. Still trying get LG to to respond--I want a refund my money. Also burners on stove top are always looking dirty and discolored.

We purchased the LG WM3700HWA front loading washing machine to replace an earlier model that had begun leaking after 11 years of use. This is a workhorse as we have 3 adults and three boys ages 5-9 that keep the laundry running 2-3 times per day. We are very satisfied with the performance and clothes come out clean... Most of the factory set cycles are perfect for our needs. We highly recommend this washing machine.

Absolutely disappointed with this stove. We bought it because of the good review. It have nice features, but it is always defective. We had the technician four times during the warranty period. Now the warranty is over, and still need him on a regular basis. Every appointment is scheduled weeks later, which is very annoying. (imagine 2 weeks without oven). Among the CON of this oven- Automatic cleaning burn the fuse, every time... unless you move the oven 3 feet from the wall, suggested by their own technician (Gee, we are in 2019!!!). The induction burners have an intricate inside panel, when one is defective 2 or 3 stop. They were supposed to be independent. Every time you open the panel, one of the button break. And most of all, the service is horrible, from the long waiting time on the phone, to the unacceptable delay for the technician visit, to the technician fees... And ability. Please do yourself a favor, choose another one.

I have owned my LG washer and dryer for about a year. Both have extraordinary capacity. Washed a full size down duvet without issue The washer adjusts water to load size and uses the least amount of water needed. I do not understand how it cleans perfectly using so little water. The dryer uses a cool setting for normal. Heavier fabrics come out damp and need an extra dry cycle to finish. Towels dry completely on the heavy duty cycle. Wrinkling is not a problem.

Purchased a Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator. Did not know that it was manufactured by Lousy Garbage. After numerous failures of the original during the warranty period, and much fighting with Sears, they agreed to replace. Now the replacement unit is problematic. The freezer got warm and can’t keep adequately cool. Reading all the reviews of Lousy Garbage just reinforces the claim that LG stands for Lousy Garbage. If the brand is Lousy Garbage, don’t walk away. You’d better run. Special thanks to Eddie Lampert for destroying Sears with product providers such as Lousy Garbage. A match made in purgatory.

I bought an LG refrigerator with French door and bottom freezer in Aug 2010. I noticed it started to make noise when the ice maker was filling with water. I called Sears for service because it was still under warranty, and that was where I bought it. They gave me an appointment eight days later. At that point, it was still working; I thought, “No big deal.” Then the refrigerator part quit being cold; so, I called back for a sooner appointment. Two days later, the repairman came, and said I needed a new electronic board. He said he would place the order, and the part would be dropped shipped to my home. When it arrives, Im supposed to call them. This is to schedule for them to put it in, and the first available date is in eight days! Who can go without a refrigerator for eight days? They said the warranty didnt cover the food loss. So, Im out a couple hundred dollars, and I am stuck with this lousy refrigerator that I cant stand.

The washer has been nothing but trouble from day 1. The tray gets mold and mildew buildup behind it and thats with leaving the tray open as well as the door. About every 5 or 6 loads, the OE message appears and no matter how many times its been cleaned, the same thing. Actually, as Im typing right now, I just heard the old faithful ding ding ding and looked over, only to find the OE blaring as usual. LG should recall these horrible machines. I also bought the dryer and lower drawers and have to run the dryer twice most times to get my clothes dry. The smell is horrible and my children have allergies. I think this machine may be making us sick.

My LG bottom freezer completely went out even with a proven working outlet Sat night full of food after 12 hour shift working as an RN. Less than 5 years old, replaced ice maker. Center shelves on refrigerator cracked. Drawers broken. I am at loss as what to make of this substandard refrigerator. I imagine circuit board or sensor broken. Unsuccessful in obtaining any data to move my internal fridge to work, not even taking in consideration the substandard condition of the inside of refrigerator.
