We purchased a LG WM2455HG front load washer in 2008. Over the past 2 years we have been experiencing a black slim, pungent odor and black mold spots on clothes and on the door gasket. We have done everything possible to clean and maintain the machine to no avail. I have read numerous complaints on the same subject. We are looking for a solution from LG which will not acknowledge the issue.

We bought a LG Stainless Steel DW in 99 for our remodel. I caught on fire. I called the company and was told they were aware of the problem and would give me a 1K credit for an upgrade to the 1.6K model. I did not want to pay that much for another LG. I returned it to a local business and got a partial refund towards a KA which is still working. 6 years ago we bought a new home with a complete LG kitchen. The stainless steel dishwasher caught on fire within a month. Didnt call LG this time. Just replaced it with a Bosch. I will never buy another LG appliance and do not recommend them.

As most of you know, I do not use social media as a living diary to post what I’m feeling, what I’m wearing or what we’re having for dinner tonight. However, today I am going to make an exception and share my story about why you shouldn’t buy an LG refrigerator as I head into week three without one as I continue to work with LG support.Let me start by saying, you can’t make this stuff up. The morning of Monday, May 18th started as any other Monday. I woke up at 5:30, turned on my computer, started my coffee, put the dogs out and reached into the refrigerator to get my cream. Imagine my surprise when I realized my 16 month old refrigerator [LFXS30766S] and freezer were warm. I’ve bulleted a the rest of this story to make it read faster for those of you who care to. • Called LG support, who deduced that it was probably the compressor and issued a service ticket [**] for 5/19 between 8-5 am EDT. [At no time does he mention that they have a known problem with their compressors which is why they have extended their one year parts and labor warranty into a five year warranty.] o I was thrilled to receive a call around lunchtime from the service company [J.O.A. ELECTRONICS] who told me he could come that same afternoon [5/18] to look at the refrigerator. o J.O.A. comes at 3 pm EDT, runs diagnostic, confirms it was the compressor, charges me $50 and starts to leave. I ask him how long it will take the part to come in.o J.O.A. then tells me LG will order compressor and fix the refrigerator that he can’t do it. [Are you freaking kidding me?] • Called LG support back and talked to a new service rep who told me: o J.O.A. Electronics shouldn’t have charged me $50 as my refrigerator was still under warranty and he should order the part so he can come back and fix it. o She then supplies ME with their contact info and tells ME I need to:  Call them and tell them they have to return my check. [as they shouldn’t have charged me] Confirm that they can order the part and fix the refrigerator. [Isn’t this why she’s getting paid?] • So at this point my husband gets home from work and calls J.O.A: o who refuses to return or destroy our check, causing us to call our bank and issue a stop payment [$30].o who also tells Steve that his job was to do a diagnostic, not order the part or fix the refrigerator just do a diagnostic. [seriously, this is who my service ticket from LG went to? What happened to a certified tech or company…] • Called LG support back [for those counting, this is call three on 5/18], and talk to another service rep who: o Listens to my tale. o Puts me on hold to talk to management; and then gets back on the phone to tell me, she can:  schedule an appointment [**] with Jude an LG certified technician, for 5/26 between 8-12 EDT [because Monday, 5/25 was Memorial Day] NOTE: that’s a week without a refrigerator DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND AFTER DOING A MONTH’S WORTH OF FOOD SHOPPING.o After slightly losing my **, let’s be honest folks, for all of those of you who know me, patience is not my strongest strength, I tell her fine and graciously accept the appointment with Jude the Savior for over a week away. We make due for the next week without a refrigerator [shopping daily/borrowing refrigerator space from friends]. Again, you can’t make this ** up. • So, joyous day, 5/26 arrives: o Jude [the long awaited LG certified tech] calls to tell me he’s running late and will be at our house closer to 1:30/2:00. o In the meantime, our address update from my calls a week earlier take effect and our town is updated. [they had the correct street address but the wrong city]o I immediately get a call from Jude, the LG certified tech and savior, who I have waited a week to come fix my refrigerator, who tells me our town isn’t in his territory so he won’t be coming because it’s too far. He cancels my RNN ticket. [We live 15 minutes from the wrong town in the ticket.] • Pissed off [major understatement], I called LG support, tell the service rep I want to speak to a supervisor, get put through to another minion, tell my story, AGAIN, including the J.O.A. mess, tells me he can get us serviced the next day [you see there’s no way we can get same day service because of COVID-19 and such – really, there’s a pandemic in play, this is news to me], 5/27, new ticket issued [**]. [We wait with baited breath to find out who is going to be coming to fix our refrigerator.] o I get a text telling me a service ticket has been issued and I will be contacted once a service center has confirmed.o J.O.A. ELECTRONICS accepts my ticket is confirmed as our service company. [again, you can’t make this ** up] • We call back LG support, express our frustration and concerns about J.O.A. being assigned the ticket and again tell him the story about J.O.A. an the incident that happened back on May 18th. o While we’re on hold, the service rep calls J.O.A. himself. [props Arnell as it was more than Diane did for us on 5/18]  They assure him they can do the job and they will call us to set up an appt.o We wait. [NO CALL. NO APPT SET UP.]• The morning of 5/27, I literally get woken up by a text from LG that says they are still looking for a provider to come as quickly as possible. I will be notified when an appt is confirmed.• I send an email complaint to the office of the president because he wants to be connected to his customers (5/27), outlining our dilemma and the challenge we’ve had getting service for our refrigerator. [Again, it’s only 16 months old]• 5/27, call LG support (again), to be disconnected (again), but this time Service Representative calls me back. We now have a case ticket (vs a repair ticket [CNN vs an RNN]) which will take 3-5 days to be reviewed before hearing back from LG. [AT WHAT POINT IS LIFE GOOD WITH LG because I’ve missed the GOOD LIFE EXPERIENCE!]• 5/29, receive a standard letter from an executive advisor in response to my letter to the president thanking me for my letter, telling me that my case is in review and let her know if there was any immediate needs that she could help me with…SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? IMMEDIATE NEED. HOW ABOUT A REFRIGERATOR THAT WORKS!!!The worst part is we are out hundreds of dollars in food, the returned check fee, a couple of vacation days and I still do not have a working REFRIGERATOR. At this point, I just want my money back so I can buy a refrigerator that works and will work 10 years from now. Again, our compressor didn’t even make it 24 months. So if you’re in need of a refrigerator, do not buy the hype – LIFE IS NOT GOOD WITH LG. Buy a Samsung, GE, Kenmore, or another brand. Life is not Good.

LG Gas Range Knob Safety Issue - We recently purchased a 30 slide-in LG gas
LG Gas Range Knob Safety Issue - We recently purchased a 30 slide-in LG gas range and soon found out that it does not take much for the control knobs to be unintentionally rotated to the on position and start releasing gas without us noticing it. One has to lightly press each knob and the mechanical safety lock is immediately released which means the knob can be rotated unintentionally and Gas starts to be released. So far in the space of less than 3 weeks we have had at least three incidences when we did not know that the knobs were accidentally turned on (perhaps by people brushing by) and were only alerted by the smell of gas filling the kitchen. The Home Depot seems to have no return policy for major appliances but we shall be going back to our local store to see if they will make an exception and replace this range with another model. If they refuse to take it back, you will hear from me again.

In late June 2017 I purchased the fridge (LG 620L french door - GF-B620PL) from The Good Guys - Brighton and it was delivered late September 2017. First Service - the door of the fridge did not close well and when it did it did very loudly. The serviceman said it was a part was missing from the door. Did not hear for a while so got in touch and said it needed to be ordered. Second Service- (serviceman Steve) - initially said did not need part but then changed his mind and said it did. He sent a message saying part was not available and that fridge did not need part (even both said did). Door still banging closed. Third Service - Freezer section was icing. Man came out and said the drawer rollers needed replacing as door of freezer did not close well and that temperature was too high Put down to 13. Fourth Service - Came back and replaced rollers. Fifth Service - All food in the freezer section had melted (thrown out). Asked why did not alert as was told if door nearly closed there is no alert. He also said temperature was too low and put it up to 18 and that we should check fridge regularly. I am very disappointed with LG service as we get mixed messages and I only got this fridge because reviews were good. I understand that there could be a bad apple in the millions made and can accept and asked to get replacement but response has not great. I have been very patient, I did not ask or claim for damaged food and accept that bad apples exist but I am not happy with the service and response I have been getting. LG customer service did reply and were abrupt and said they were happy what they did and that was it. No apology or was I happy! (Must of missed customer service lesson 101!) NEVER LG AGAIN!

I purchased an LG Refrigerator the end of January which was delivered the 1st week of February. Three weeks later I was dealing with LG Customer Service as the compressor had twice made a terrible grinding noise. After several calls they escalated the issue for an exchange but stated it would take 5 days & to call back then which I did. When contacted after the 5 day period they again gave the exact same directive. I was grateful Best Buy agreed to change it which they did the 1st week in April and advised if I had the extended warranty with Geek Squad they would have taken care of it right away so I bought it on the replacement. The split door on the replacement refrigerator would not close properly & the alarm for that door did not function. Contacted Geek Squad who wrote upon order for repair but the order would not allow it to be scheduled for repair as there are NO SERVICE REPS in this area. How can anyone sell products that have a manufacturer AND an extended warranty when there is NO AVAILABLE SERVICE??? Best Buy sent 3 people from the local store & they offered to replace again but they only allow one (1) replacement on an extended warranty so if there would be anything wrong with the 3rd one I would be out of luck. So today I will go to Best Buy and hopefully get a full refund and go to a local appliance dealer (who services direct) to get a different brand that will cost more. We all loved the design of the LG but I no longer trust LG or Best Buy.

Dont buy this refrigerator! 2 months after purchasing the freezer stopped working, the food thawed out, then it randomly started working again. The next month it started making a loud buzzing/drilling noise on and off the entire day. Its so annoying, you dont want to be in the same room! LG said, its in defrost mode, your ice is too full! Took their advice and nothing changed. Home Depot says they cant do anything until its been serviced by LG three times. LG is sending out a tech but even if they fix it Im stuck with a defective product that I still have to pay full price for! I want a partial refund or a replacement but neither will do this, I just have taken another day off of work and continue making the payments! I wish I would have done my research. I now see online that many others have had the same problems with this product. Take my advice, dont waste your $ on this product!

I was on the market for a new fridge but I didnt do so with a specific brand in mind. The LG I have now just so happened to be what I preferred when wholly considered, monetarily included. Along with a lot of others Im sure, my favorite part was of course the ice/water section built into the door. It made life that much more convenient, which is something we as a species crave seemingly primarily, convenience. The side by side design was weird to me at first, I mean compared to the traditional top and bottom design which has the homey feeling of childhood, that felt more like staying the night at a buddies. But over time Ive grown to love it overall.

This refrigerator is horrible! It almost burnt my house down! I smelled a horrible smell and realized the lights in my refrigerator had melted the housing it was in on my refrigerator. It was falling off the top, the plastic all around it was melted and when I wrapped a light bulb with a towel, it still almost burnt my hand. All my food was spoiled. The food was hot, melted and spoiled. Im so glad I got this before a full blown fire started before going to bed tonight. After googling the problem, I see this has been a problem for years with lawsuits (successful lawsuits dating back to 2010) and still 4 years later this is still happening. LG needs to have better quality control. Do not buy LG!!

I have an LG dryer. I only put a 1/2 load of laundry in on the energy saver mode. After a 63 minute cycle the clothes are as wet as when I put them in. LG said that the dryer is functioning as normal. They said I am supposed to hang all my clothes after the cycle is complete if I want to use energy saver mode. They did a remote diagnostic and said there are no malfunctions. My dryer is under warranty and they said if they come out and there is not a manufacture malfunction I will be charged for the service call even though my dryer is under warranty. I will never buy another LG product again.

We purchased an LG Counter Depth, French-Door Fridge (LFXC24726D) from Costco 21 months ago. We have been working through Costco Concierge Service, LG and our semi-local repair crew. The problem was diagnosed with a major leak in the system. The local repair crew replaced the compressor, two evaporators, and a dryer. The repair lasted about 24 hours. On the subsequent return visit, the tech checked for dye leaks on all of their solder joints. None were found and the tech deemed the fridge as not repairable. This fridge is still under Costco 2-year warranty, and it has been tough getting the repair/refund resolved. LG warranty support sucks -- even with Costco pushing them. As of this writing, we have been living with this defective fridge for 4 weeks! If half of the prospective refrigerator buyers shopping at Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, and Best Buy had a clue about the way LG handles their customers they would never consider anything manufactured by LG product -- NOTHING!

LG Compressor complaint bought 3 years ago (brand new). 05/15/2017 - When I
LG Compressor complaint bought 3 years ago (brand new). 05/15/2017 - When I started filing a claim thru LG protection plan. I spoke to a male representative and mentioned that he will send someone to check the fridge. We briefly explained to him whats going on. That the fridge is not cooling and since my husband is a technician himself, he knows whats going on to the fridge. My husband mentioned that the compressor is not working. The rep sent us a part for relay which when the (First attempt) technician came over to fix it. He said that they sent the wrong parts. He said and will report to LG that it was the compressor that is broken. We waited for the parts to be ordered. I called several times to follow up (month of May/June). The reps were telling me that the compressor is on its way and they have set up an appointment with the technician but the parts still hasnt arrive to the house. I even asked the representative if the technician will have the actual compressor because we havent received it. She said if we didnt have it then the technician would probably have it. When the same technician arrived to the house (Second attempt), he doesnt have the parts and we dont have it as well. He ended up leaving without fixing it and recommended to call LG again. I called and when I spoke to another representative, they said that it was on back order. How come they didnt explained it in the first place and sending the technician just to waste our time? I complaint to them and ended up talking to a supervisor who gave me a mini fridge that we picked up at a local Home Depot for the inconvenience because I told them that Im pregnant and taking insulin which I appreciate them for accommodating me.When I called and spoke to the technician. He mentioned that when its 40 days and still cant find the parts that probably we will be reimbursed. I called on the 40th day. That is June 26th. That same day the compressor came in the morning and my mother received it. However I was not home at the time so I asked him if he will schedule the service. The representative I spoke to said that he cant schedule it for some reason in his system and told me to call an 800-243-0000 number to schedule the service. When I called this number, they couldnt locate my claim nor cant find me on the file. The person I spoke to said that I have to call LG back to get this situated. Then they schedule me with Precision services who message since 06/28/2017 and said that they will schedule the service and we will get a call. Several text reminders received until on 06/29/2017 a text message came and said they are ready to schedule the service. Still theres no live person that I can talk to when they are coming. On 06/30/17; they message me again and wants me to explain briefly what the situation is. Instead of texting them I called them instead and was able to talk to someone who scheduled the service on 7/7/2017.Finally the tech came in the morning and my husband called me at work and said that the technician didnt fix it and just troubleshoot the problem about the compressor. He even said that why sent him there when they know that they have to send a LG manufacturing license technician who can fix the compressor. I got so furious and upset. I called them on 7/7/2017 and spoke to the supervisor, Angel who promised that someone within 4 hours will call me and schedule the service but no one called. I called this Morning and spoke to another supervisor named Chase who stated that theres a service provider that can do it and its near our location and will request it however, considering its the weekend that they might be closed. He said that I have to wait 1 business day. I told him I was told if they couldnt locate anyone to fix our fridge to just reimburse us. We have been waiting for so long. Its going to be almost 2 months without a fridge. Several calls has made and they didnt even call us back for the status. I have to constantly call them what happened to the back order parts, when finally we receive the parts, asking them when the technician will fix it. Now, they couldnt locate a license technician who can fix our LG fridge and still I have to wait. Theyre explaining that it has to be license LG manufacturing which I totally understand. If they know the problem, they should have located a technician long time back. I have this on file, the other technician informed them the problem since beginning of June. We are now in July and still no resolution. I will wait again on Monday for a phone call which is not for sure if they will find a technician and still by then he is still not sure what will be the resolution to the problem. They keep on promising and misleading the customer. What kind of LG protection is this, this should have been handled smoothly. When you have protection services, they should have a good contact technician that is license to fix with this kind of problem and not let the customer have false hope, give reason to wait and still be disappointed. Sorry doesnt cut the chase and were still inconvenience with this problem. Im pregnant and stressing me so much. I dont know what else I can do to resolve my issue and Im writing a complaint and hoping that someone from LG Company resolve this issue as soon as possible. I saw LG compressor complaints online and has 1840 which I dont know if they resolve it. They should at least pay attention to this issues.

We purchased a LFXS30726S French Door Refrigerator Freezer approximately 18 months ago. On October 23, 2017 the refrigerator seemed to be getting warm. Changes to the temperature setting did not improve the issue. We called the LG customer service number on October 24 and walked through a diagnostic process over the phone. LG said a repair would be fully covered under warranty. No cost to the customer. It was determined there was an issue with the sealed system (compressor/evaporator) and would need a certified technician to come out to our home. Received a case reference number: ** and then the mess began. I live in the metro NYC area in CT and no technicians on their approved list wanted to do this repair. LG was unable to get a technician setup that day. Escalated the issue to Joan in their scheduling team (executive services). After five days they found a technician. When this company called, they said LG would only pay $100 and we would owe the balance which could be $800+. We called LG and they indicated it’s a covered repair with an approval number: **. Then, the phone tag began with the service company saying that approval maximizes out at a lesser expense and LG saying its approved. I three way called them both and LG said its approved and service company said not for the right amount. Apparently the fixed fee reimbursement is too low for many companies. Now on my third company --- Akosemi. Lets see what happens. Its November 7 and still not a repaired refrigerator/freezer. Lost all my food. LG makes a poor product with awful service. The whole experience is terrible. Never buy another LG as long as I live.

No Stars. Dont buy LG or dont buy it from HH Gregg. They must buy wholesale merchandise that didnt pass manufacturing standards. I bought and replaced the same item in less than six years. They might work for as much as a year or little longer, hence their strong encouragement to buy additional warranties. Same model. Two refrigerators; Two failures; loss of two refrigerators/freezers full of food. First time: Told to wait a few hours for it to cool; then overnight for it to cool. It didnt. Had to wait a weekend before another (same model) was delivered. Four years later that one has stopped being cold.Only repairs offered were to replace the compressor if that had failed to work. All other costs were mine. Including $150 round trip for the lone LG certified technician in my area willing to work on my LG fridge to come from 50 miles away. THEN, diagnostic fees before problem is determined. IF it was the compressor those have a 10 year warranty. Repairmen say theyd have to order the $800 compressor then come out again ($150 travel) to install.Customer service is located in Manilla. They are only authorized to refer me to several repairmen but would only replace the actual compressor - nothing else, not even food loss. Im living on a small fixed income after retirement becoming disabled. Often spending time away in hospital each year. It has been months summer since Ive had use of the refrigerator. I live alone and have a tiny fridge in my bedroom for when I cant use the stairs. This has been a nuisance and a costly one at that. Be warned.

I bought 2!!!! stacked washer and dryers. It came with no parts to change it from shipping to useable! I have been waiting weeks and weeks for LG to send me the parts. My machines are just sitting here. The co. I bought it from and LG are blaming each other and no one will just send the parts. The LG book says DO NOT USE if you dont have these parts. But they wont send them or pick them up and let me get a set that has the parts. I have been on hold with customer service of LG for 2+ hours 3 times and they say they will send them and then dont! This is the biggest joke. I am stuck with two machines that dont work. NEVER PURCHASE LG unless you are good with a product that just sits there because once you pay not their issue.

It has everything I was looking for in a refrigerator and the price was within my budget. The color matches my other appliances and its easy to clean. I like the water filter that comes with it because makes so convenient and easy for my entire family to drink clean and purified water. I only wished it was more affordable. Everything else about it makes me happy and Im so glad I selected this specific model and brand. I have no regrets. This brand has met my expectations and I would recommend it to all of my friends and family members.

The technician came out and said that he fixed it but then, it got even worse. It went through a lot of repairs and a whole lot of different parts had to be ordered and replaced on it. There was a lot of technicians coming out here to fix it and delays with getting parts. So, it has not been a good experience for me. I’ve been talking to LG as well as the technician too. They had a contractor come out and he had to make two visits to get it repaired. Right now, it’s working, but I don’t know for how long. I haven’t even had it three years and this happened. I don’t think I’ll buy another LG refrigerator.

I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator with model # LFX28978 last May 2011. The freezer has had constant problems with frost, not closing properly, seal defect, etc. I have had numerous calls with LG. The last one, the lady who answered said and I quote You have to remove the second drawer, open the door twice every 27 times you open the freezer door, pull up and down on the door and to align the track and slam close twice. This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard in my life. This isnt going to work, there is some kind of design defect and LG should replace it.

My LG refrigerator/freezer started on fire last night. Luckily, it was being used as an extra fridge in the garage, since we bought a new one last month. We also have a sprinkler system throughout our home and that includes the garage so the fire was contained to the fridge only. I would strongly suggest that no one keep their old fridges. The fire department noted in their report that it started within the ice-maker in the back of the fridge.

When looking for a new stove the salespeople at Lowes raved about LG. We looked for reviews and they were all positive. I bought this stove in September 2017. It has multiple times turned the gas on with no flame. The knob must have been bumped. The last time the gas had run so long that we had to open windows and doors for hours in the winter to get rid of the smell. Im afraid that my family is going to die from carbon monoxide poisoning! How can this not be recalled by the government must less LG themselves. Are they waiting for someone to die in a fire or from poisoning??? A LG repair person came and replaced the metal pieces the knobs are on. While he was doing that the gas turned on!!!. It still seems like the knobs turn VERY easily! Will never buy LG again!!

Purchased an LG Dishwasher Model LDF7551ST in July 2012 (serial number 205KWMK0D259). Purchased at Home Depot, that also installed it. After about 2 years the machine stopped working, with a OE error, e.g. it would not drain. The technician came and found a pumpkin seed in the drainage pump. Fixed it. After few months it did it again. LG repair service came again and replaced the drainage pump.A month later we noticed that the hardwood floor got swollen and higher. We checked the dishwasher and we noticed that water was leaking from the pump below the dishwasher. He found that a rubber hose was split where it goes in front of sump pump. He was unable to fix the dishwasher since the hardwood floor was swollen and was blocking the dishwasher. Eventually they replaced the sump pump assembly. They paid the damage to the hardwood floor. Now it does it again. It is an infinite loop. They would not do anything else. Bad product, bad company. Beware!

LG microwave was part of the kitchen appliances in the home we bought last year. It appeared to be fairly new. Within 6 months the door frame cracked then the handle broke off. Its noisy when it runs and the configuration of the buttons and functions is confusing. Ive never figured out the soften button. Glad we didnt actually purchase it ourselves but will now have to replace it.

Newer LG stainless steel dishwasher came with home we purchased 2011. Had to fix after two months of move in. It wasnt draining. Fixed then it had to be fixed. A few months after that, it wouldnt turn on. It has constant mold problem. I ran with bleach, I wipe between rubber molding inside where mold is with bleach, run vinegar cycle clean. Find mold on cups and mold grew all over wood handle item. Some rust on inside sides, 2 hour run time. Power button is way too sensitive, starts on own as bumping against it starts it. Also the tines on bottom rack are so close that front part bottom rack is unusable and top rack doesnt hold glasses well, had several glasses break. Bad design all around, bottom rack is very low to floor. I would never buy an LG dishwasher.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY LG REFRIGERATOR!!! We bought an LG French door refrigerator less than a year ago and we no longer have a refrigerator already. A very expensive appliance that is required normally important in life has been broken for over a month now. LG sent out a subcontracted company name Tasko who set an appt initially A day or so after report of failure of the compressor. Technician showed up unable to speak English and said I think....after only a few minutes someone else would have to come back...he couldnt fix the issue. I said, why did you come if you can not fix it and when will someone be back? My refrigerator isnt working and all my food is spoiling. EXPENSIVE LOSS!!! Plus its almost THANKSGIVING! He replied, someone will call by Friday...a whole week away...NO ONE CALLED FOR 2 more weeks! I received a call out of the blue on November 5th (my birthday) stating...I am on my way! I said, no you are not...NO ONE CALLED TO SET AN APPT AND ITS MY BIRTHDAY, we are not available! I said, I will call you back to set appt. Before an appointment was made...No phone call or appt was made with me but the Technician who does NOT speak English...KNOCKS ON MY DOOR ON VETERANS DAY! I am not dressed and not prepared for this person to be in my home. My husband shockingly lets this tech in and he had me trapped in my bedroom for probably 5-6 hours in which I was having a medical emergency with my cat and I needed to get my cat to Vet. This Tech finally leaves and did not fix the refrigerator but leaves it unplugged saying do not plug in for 3 hours. My food is still spoiling and after 3 hours the refrigerator is now making a very loud noise and is not working at all to cool anywhere.I received a call from LG the next afternoon and I informed the rep of the horrendous customer service and how very unhappy and angry I was at how this man was in my home without a appt and unannounced at all. The rep said, I understand and will be calling Tasko to discuss this with the Tech and he knew that communication with that company was not easy to accomplish from prior conversations. He is very sorry for our experience. Our refrigerator does not work at all at this time. I call LG back a day or so after not hearing a word back and I AM STILL WITH A FRIDGE AND THANKSGIVING IS FAST APPROACHING!!! I called to request a new refrigerator as this is a class action suit issue across the country and My fridge is under warranty. I got the run around saying I must produce a receipt now even though they gave us all in their computer as customers of this fridge. I said I can not find my receipt and the company we purchased it at HH Gregg has closed all stores so I can not get a receipt from them because they did not upload to the warranty dept that bought their contracts. I am constantly calling for a new refrigerator STILL on Nov 21 and THANKSGIVING is tomorrow...I HAVE NO REFRIGERATOR NOW FOR OVER A MONTH and no one seems to give a flying rip and wants to send the same company back to my home that I have had such a horrific experience with for the past month. I requested to speak to the President of LG and was told they dont have that number!!! I said, Are you kidding me?!! The rep said, I will request a EXECUTIVE will call you within the next two days. Meanwhile, I AM STILL WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR that is less than a year old and tomorrow is THANKSGIVING!!! I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL FROM AN EXECUTIVE and suspect I will not be, I think its time to contact one of the class action suit attys! Thoroughly disgusted, frustrated and infuriated! Do not buy any refrigerator from LG...or anything else if this is how you will be treated especially after spending nearly $4000 dollars for such an important appliance in life!

My 3-year-old LG Refrigerator has a failed linear compressor. Apparently this is a known defect since 2014 which was before this refrigerator was purchased in 2016. There is currently a class-action lawsuit filed against LG. I have received the run around from LG. I have called every day since 9/28 and have received a different story about how to get it repaired and if the part has been ordered and where it is in the shipping process. I have now been without a working refrigerator for a week with no end in sight. I have 4 children and 3 adults in my household. This is a HUGE problem. Short of buying a new fridge I have no recourse. No one can tell me when it will be repaired or when I will even receive the part. I do have a guy who will replace the part when I finally get it but every time I call LG I get a different story about where the part is and when it will finally be shipped. The process to get this part has changed with every phone call I make, as has the time frame. On Saturday when I called it was 1-3 days. On Monday when I called it was 3-5 days. On Tuesday when I called it was 7-10 days. Today when I called it was again 3-5 days and still has not shipped. Then I had Jenn from LG call and offer a mini-fridge until we get our part on Friday, but we wouldnt get the mini-fridge until Friday which is when she told me the part will be here. She then offered me $250 for spoiled food, which is quite inadequate since we had to go purchase a mini-fridge already and I am spending about $10 per day for ice to keep the rest of our refrigerated products on ice. She told me the part would be here by Friday 10/4 but when I called LG customer service today 10/3, the part has still not shipped and they said it would still be 3-5 days before the part even ships. Jenn also sent me a text and said I could text her at any time to get an update about my part. I have now texted Jenn 4 different times over two days and have yet to receive a response from her. I dont even know what to believe at this point. I think that contacting an attorney to get some recourse will be my next step. I am going to have to go purchase a new refrigerator since LG is incapable of getting my 3-year-old refrigerator fixed in a timely manner. Steer clear of this horrible company with horrible products! This is the second problem we have had with this refrigerator. The LG dishwasher we have that was purchased at the same time is now on its second motor. It is also 3 years old. Terrible, terrible products! Huge run around from customer service.

Frosting in the freezer, fan went out first month, then the fan went out in the refrigerator, now the fan is out in the freezer again. All in less than two years. Warranty is not covering the last fan, the warranty from the place who contracted with LG to fix the problems said they would come out and satisfy their warranty if LG will provide the parts. FRUSTRATING!!! Our last refrigerator lasted for 17 years, this one hasnt worked for at least 2 months of the year and a half weve owned it. Paid over $3000.00. Sad.

We purchased an LG front load washer at Home Depot. Only after it was installed could we, and did we, learn that it vibrates incredibly loud on a firm modern floor regardless of the load and balance, and due to its very high spin speed. Home Depot and LG refuse to exchange it for a top loader. A Home Depot representative admitted that they intentionally do not mention that problem to potential purchasers. LG does not even respond to our many forms of contact. They both claim that the machine is working as designed, which can only mean that the design is defective. In our opinion, no one should purchase an LG front loader washer. We have had to resort to ridiculous and only partially successful steps to dampen the vibration and noise, such as cramming pool noodles around the washer (see attached photo).

Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Purchased a LG electric range, dishwasher and refrigerator and microwave. My wife and I decided this would be a present for both of us for our 25th wedding anniversary. We decided to get the top of the line stove with the convection stove, black glass top self cleaning range. The oven was blue inside and all the appliances were stainless steel. Within a few months we used the self cleaning feature on the oven and afterwards, the stove digital display showed an error and nothing worked. We called and after a several weeks, we had a service person come and repair the oven. It seemed that an electrical component had burned out. We again after a month or so used the self clean feature and once again display showed an error and once again waited for a repair. The second repairman told it this the same electrical component had burned out. He informed us that it was an LG design flaw which vented the 500 plus degree cleaning temperature vented partially on the circuit board burning it out. He said to avoid this, to not use the self cleaning feature. So this top of the line self cleaning oven had to be hand scraped clean. We have now noticed that the outer door on the oven is starting to fall off. The inner door is in place and the only thing holding the outer door on right now is the handle. Why of course we are out of warranty and now do we pay outrageous service call fees and parts or let it fall the rest of the way apart and trash it? The refrigerator shelves are flimsy and several have cracks and it takes, if you dont use it, approximately 4 days for the ice bin to fill. Its too bad that you can spend a great deal of money on a product and have problems with it several months after making the purchase. My wife is a Real Estate Broker and will make sure no new or homeowners needing appliance to steer clear of LG products.

I will never ever buy another LG product of any kind. I purchased my washing machine almost five years ago and have been fighting with it ever since. At ok never point I discovered that the machine had actually been recalled. The machine was known to vibrate across the floor. The techs have been out numerous times but when Home Depot called they said they were only out twice, once a no power issue. They are so misinformed. I had the motherboard replaced and other issues. Now if I wash a quilt the machine stops and flashes. Then when I put it on Spin Only it shoots out water!! So I am left with soggy blankets. I am so furious and disappointed. They should have designated this a lemon four years ago. I think someone needs to instigate a class-action lawsuit against LG. Why are we putting up with this??? I purchased an LG Refrigerator Door-in-Door in December 2015. On September 14, 2014 I woke up to water all over my kitchen floor due to ice melted in freezer. First thing was to use troubleshooting guide. Did all resets suggested with no results. Called LG and went through all that again with them. Was told to reset and wait 24 hrs then check and call if not cooling. Needless to say this did not work. I lost a freezer and refrigerator full of food. All spoiled. Following Saturday a repairman came out and said that compressor was gone. They ordered a compressor on September 22, 2016. Today is Oct. 10, 2016 and I still have no resolution.I have made many calls both to LG and the place supposedly responsible for repair with no satisfaction. I have never encountered such poor customer service in my life. I just walked around my home and realized that I have 3 LG TVs, a Blu Ray, refrigerator, and microwave. Therefore it is obvious I have spent a lot of money on LG products. I now see that the company does not stand behind its products so I will not purchase any more of their merchandise. As I looked through the reviews I see that I am not alone. LG MUST NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CONSUMERS. So as customers we need to let them know that there is no excuse for such poor workmanship or service.

We purchased this refrigerator Dec. 15, 2014 its not a year old and still under the factory warranty. This is the second time that we have had this problem with the refrigerator not getting cold. May 2015 was the first time someone came out and adjusted the temperature, the same problem happen again around September 11, 2015 where it wasnt cooling or making ice. The day I got out of the hospital, I come home and everything in my freezer had thawed out and spoil. I began calling immediately but no one seems to put themselves in our shoes. We have been without a refrigerator since September 18th, 2015. Someone from Jebco in Saraland, AL. came out on September 23, 2015 said that he had to order a part and for us to unplug our refrigerator until he return on Monday September 28, 2015. Well Monday came, his clerk called to say that he would not be able to come on that day. I was so upset that I hung up on her, but later called back to apologize, later that day she called LG to inform them that she did not think I was satisfied with them QUOTE: Im not satisfied with anyone because everyone has a refrigerator and we dont. We are having to keep water in a cooler and having to go out to food because we cant put anything in the fridge. All we are asking is for them to give us another refrigerator, nobody seems to be able to accommodate for our loss. We are still paying for a broke down refrigerator, its notfair. I thought customers were always right and came first, well it seems that is not a true statement, because if it were true they should make sure that the customers are happy and satisfied to every extent.I am so dissatisfied with HHGregg and LG, I am letting everyone know not to deal with either one of them because they dont stand by their word of satisfying their customers. Is there anyone that can help me please come forward to give me some advices? We have spoken to so many peoples and nobody doing anything.

I bought a front load LG washer about 4 years ago to replace my 15 year old Whirlpool washer which was still working. Now in the past month the washer started making a loud noise during all cycles of the spin including slow and fast spin. Contacted LG who sent a tech and they said it is the outside drum and bearing which will be over a 400 dollar repair. Now a new LG can be bought for 645 so I went to HD and ordered a new Washer, same LG brand because the salesman said I could still use the 249 dollar pedestal if I went with the LG brand. Today LG deliveries came with the washer and said they will not install the new washer on the Old pedestal since it was not bought from them now and they will install only if I ordered another 249 dollar new pedestal from them again. The delivery guys were rude so I told them to take the washer back so I can buy an alternate brand along with its own matching pedestal. In my experience LG is one of the worst brands of home appliance company and have very poor customer service.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from LG products. I purchased an LG Dryer and have had nothing but problems with the lint catcher/ filter ruining my clothes. The lint catcher does not sit flush and it will shred clothing when clothing gets caught on it during the drying cycle. As the dryer spins, the clothing catches on the filter and continues to twist creating a clothing tornado that tears and shreds clothing with the continuous spinning of the dryer.I have contacted LG on this and despite having a warranty and in addition, an extended warranty, LG states that they dont cover this issue and that I have to pay out of my own pocket for their design defects??? LG also told me that this was the first they heard of such a problem with their dryers and that I was the first person to contact them?? This is clearly a design defect that LG IS Aware of and has been for years - yet they do nothing and do not fix the problem or stand by their customer by their replacing the defective part. This is planned obsolescence. LG is making billions of of customers like us yet they do not stand by their customers or deal with known product defects. So disgusted with my LG Top Load Washer purchase. Bought 5 years ago. Never have thought my clothes were getting clean, but 2 years ago we went on vacation for 3 months. After coming home I started to get a rash. Over this time it has gotten so bad I have gone to 2 specialists. I use the cleaning tablets like I am suppose to and the washer appears to be clean. I take the dispenser out once a month and clean it in bleach. Lately I have noticed it has black mold on it. Today I inspected the place where it slides in and it is black with mold. Got some mold cleaner and sprayed up into it, but black mold keeps coming out from up inside. No wonder my family is having issues. This thing is leaving my house and going straight to the junkyard. We purchased an LG Refrigerator 5 years ago Model LFX31925ST/00 Super Capacity, 3 door, French door with smart cooling technology. In 2013 we had issues where the freezer would stop cooling. Called LG and they stated, Nothing wrong with the unit. In March of 2016 the refrig stopped cooling altogether. Called LG and they stated, The compressor went bad. Called a repair company. The compressor is covered under a 7 year warranty. The labor charge was $706.34 including trip charge, labor, Freon, and small parts. After the unit was repaired and returned several days later the display on the front panel had error messages. The water dispenser and ice maker stopped working. A new problem and another repair cost of $338.60. For a $3,000.00 refrig to last only 5 years is unacceptable and repair cost to date of $1,044.94. The repair cost is more that 1/3 of the purchase price. We will never purchase any other LG products nor recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware.

I bought an LG refrigerator model No.195NC5 on 06.10.09. I noticed recently that the body paint at the bottom is rusted and still peeling off. I contacted your technician through my dealer at Kottakkal in Malappuram dist. The technician informed me that the warranty period is over and theres nothing to do. Though the complaint noticed recently it occurred, quite early, within one year of purchase. I am not only a customer of LG refrigerator but I have LG TV, LG PC and likely to buy an LG washing machine. I expect your favorable action.

Our 2 year old LG refrigerator (LFX31945ST) stopped cooling. Called LG and they sent a link to troubleshoot it, and was useless. Called LG back and they had me do the Smart Sensor test over the phone, and said they saw that the fridge wasnt working but couldnt tell me any details and gave me 3 numbers to call for local company to come fix it... To be continued...

Didnt work out of the box. Had to have panel replaced but very poor customer service thru all the ordeal for almost two weeks. Repair thru store bought - not LG. They would hang up, not call back after I gave them the phone number. Really crazy customer service. First question was what is your phone number, then start to tell them what was wrong with codes would get disconnected but they didnt call back. Within a year, broke again and after that service call within days, the compressor is humming very loud and looks like everything is defrosting in freezer. Of course this is on 4th of July so food will be eaten or lost. Very disappointed in product that cost over 3K. Wait the weekend to see what is wrong and before one year warranty over on July 20th.

My home warranty company TotalProtect Home Warranty (Cross Country Home Services) came out to repair our washer. They discovered an LG Recall from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and refused to make repairs because it was under recall. So, LG was responsible for repairing it. The recall stated the washer becomes unbalanced and causes personal injury and property damage. Luckily my washer just broke. It has been 3 months and multiple LG repair companies later and LG has not repaired our washer. Every LG service company that we called or came out to make repairs claims they cant repair it, LG did not authorize repairs, or the recall did not cause the damage. LGs customer service (800-243-0000) promised they would make repairs and they gave me a CNM # and APM # that supposedly authorized the repairs. I even filed an ethics complaint with LGs company HQ. I heard nothing back. The recalled washer is product number WT5101HV. LG gives you the runaround and frustrates you so you give up.

I purchased our LG smart washer dryer combo from Home Depot 14 months ago. For the first year it worked like a charm. Once it was paid off, the nightmare began. I have called the horrible customer service in the Philippines only to hear a repeated script. I have had my home warranty company come out twice. The only way for me to wash our clothes is to confuse our washer into thinking that the load is large. I put in 2 buckets of water on top of towels. I have ruined so many of my clothes in the twisted rope like fashion that I could cry. It takes me 1.5 hours to wash 2 pairs of jeans and a few shirts. The dryer is also Lousy Garbage. It over dries and shrinks our clothes, those that make it out alive from the washer never dry at all and are very wrinkled. And then there is the smell... The technicians say this is how they are suppose to work. There is no energy saving in taking all day to do a household of threes laundry. There is nothing smart about these machines... Be smart stay away...

Bought a $2000.00 refrigerator in 2014, three repairmen came out to look at it and said it is a leak in the cabinet and cant be fixed. They said to call LG and tell them its a lemon. Its been almost 3 weeks and a lot of money for repairmen, loss of food, no fridge and still no satisfaction from LG. They keep pushing me around from one person to another. Even though these were authorized repairmen from them, they tell me to call someone else and I have to pay labor again. My repairmen said this happens a lot to LG fridges and LG knows it. This company is making inferior products, scamming consumers and making more money on repairs. If anyone has any ideas for my situation, please help me. LG never has called me once with so much as an apology. I want this FIXED! For any new consumers looking for an appliance...dont buy LG.

I bought my LG cabinet model French Door with see through cooler and it was delivered December 10, 2018. Since owning, the compressor has been replaced, the computer board replaced and now it is totally dead as there are bad circuits in the electrical housing based on a LG repairman’s assessment. The unit is now in the garage and I had to purchase another new unit. I bought this unit from Best Buy but with the warranty from the manufacturer I did not buy their product insurance policy.I lost three refrigerator full groceries due to malfunctions on three different occasions. The company sent out repair folks, and parts took as long as two to four weeks to appear. We were storing food in purchased coolers and finally bought a small freezer whilst waiting for help or replacement products from LG. It might get fixed and work for three months then would go out of whack. I’d call LG. Repair person would show within a week. This guy would order a part (compressor or board). Wait two more weeks. Fixed but back it would be within a few months and break again. But the latest episode was a matter of days before it went down again. I need to get action and do not know who to call. This product died after one and a half years.

I complained to LG customer service about overcooling issue. My tomato will turn into stone, leafy vegetables get spoiled with ice crystals forming on them. So far, I must have thrown vegetables worth $600 plus. My refrigerator was under warranty. Technician would check and confirm everything is working fine, no root cause analysis. After 2 visits, I demanded to have new technician, who said air flow tower needs replacement. After replacement, unit worked for few weeks and again same problem started happening. I called LG, again technicians visited but could not fix the problem. I am still having issues with brand new refrigerator where I cannot store vegetables. Fortunately, I have 10+ year old another refrigerator that I use for storing vegetables. Now, when I call LG, they are saying, unit is out of warranty so you need to pay. My issue was reported when it was under warranty, it was never fixed, but they will not accept. I am very frustrated. It seems it has some manufacturing defect or they do not have qualified technicians to do root cause analysis of the problem.

We bought an LG refrigerator because of the size. My wife wanted to go with GE. I convinced her to go with LG. We had multiple issues with the icemaker and then finally within 2 years, the motherboard went bad. It would have cost $500 to fix. We decided to buy a GE for $800 and had not had any issues. I contacted LG saying that their product required multiple repairs and they refused to cover the work. Lastly, we wrote a letter of complaint stating that not only were we disappointed with their product and response, but we have found mounting complaints that were tarnishing their image. Their response was Sorry for your difficulty, but one bad item does not reflect on their image. It does with us. Never buy an LG product. They are garbage.

I bought this set because I liked the look of the stainless steel with a clear coat on top. Unfortunately after 3 years the finish on top of the washer didn’t hold up and had many marks and streaks which is weird because the finish doesnt seem scratched—just has discolorations. There is one setting, Sports wear, that has no features associated with it which seems like a bug. You choose it, and there are zero settings. No temp, speed, spin etc. They are just blank. I do wish I could add the fabric softener setting for every type of wash, but its not available on several. Otherwise it seems to do a good job and has great capacity.

I must agree with the reviews Ive read on this site. I purchased my LG washer and dryer in June of 2016. If the fact that it takes forever to clean my laundry which doesnt come out clean, it produces a terrible smell! At the floor level there is a drain and filter which instructions advise to clean monthly. It is hard for me, at 70 yo, to get down on the floor on my belly to clean this contraption, but it must be done. Draining the nasty water from this little hose (about the size of a pencil) is more than a notion. I agree with many others that for what I paid for this machine, I should have gotten a better product. I will never purchase another appliance with the LG label. Any others have experience with this smelly filtration system???

Updated on 12/25/2020: DO NOT BUY LG UNTIL YOU READ THIS. 2ND COMPLAINT. LG has not followed up on resolving issue with our LG refrigerator as Promised. They have not responded to emails and only way to contact is through Consumer Affairs. We used unit 53 days and broke down. LG says not repairable and have to Reorder a New unit 11/20/2020, with a delivery date 1/25/2021. Louis, webmaster for LG, assured within 10 business days it would be resolved. I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. I have had four repairmen come out to work on this refrigerator. It has had a new computer board and compressor installed---and STILL does not cool like a refrigerator should. After the most recent install of those components, the LED light stopped working in the refrigerator. I started to look for the part to replace it--but did a diagnostic test on the refrigerator. Sure enough, the light came on again? A day later, the light went off. Did another diagnostic reset, and the light works again. Long story short, this refrigerator has become a nuisance. It is supposed to be a NEWER refrigerator that simply WORKS. It is supposed to keep your food cold. It is supposed to not be a hassle. LG has a long way to go when it comes to making a solid nuts and bolts refrigerator. If you buy an LG refrigerator, be sure to have a second one on hand in case your food spoils.

I have bought the fridge from Vijay Sales, Pune on 08/08/2014. Since the day of purchase there has been ice crystals formation inside, in the rear wall of the fridge. We have made innumerable complaints at least not less than 4 times. Each time the engineer gives some excuse sets a higher temperature on the fridge and goes way. Unfortunately I have not been at home and my wife gets conned. Now the vegetables have started rotting within 2 to 3 days which is abnormal. The latest complaint no is **. The eng came this time, examine the fridge, increased the temperature to 6 deg Celsius, said that he needed to change the sensor and that was the end of this. As far as I know e. coli starts forming in food articles after 4 deg Celsius. It is extremely distressful to see that an MNC like LG performs like this. I have had innumerable products from LG but this time poor service has crossed the limits. Nothing can change in India. Consumers are helpless. The latest in Maharashtra you have to file complaints in consumer forum in Maharashtrian language. So much for India is for Indians. Better to stay where you were born.

LG electric Range LSB5611SW/SB/SS - I received a safety advisory note from Sears that their burners on certain ranges were failing to turn off after being switched off. Sears was very quick in responding by sending a technician to replace a board. The technician turned on a burner to test that it was working. Later, I started to cook, turned on a burner to mark 5. Loud clicking noises were heard, not once but intermittently. It only stopped when I turned the knob to the highest point or turned it off. Upon my complaint to Sears, another contracted technician (Jim) was sent. He had to call an LG technician for instructions. He checked that the board was connected per LGs instructions, and upon turning on the stove again, he agreed with me that the clicks were loud. Jim said that he would report the matter to Sears. After not having heard back from Sears, I called them again. Apparently, there was no report about any clicking noises from the contractor. Each time, I get to speak to a different agent either in Montreal or Belleville. I then called Jim who assured me that he spoke with Sears in the Burnaby outlet. I then decided to call LG. I spoke with a Josh who asked me when the contracted technician replaced the monitor. I said in January. He said that there was a directive that went out that those units that were attended to prior to February 2013 had to be rewired. That meant that the monitor on my range was wired incorrectly and Sears should have sent a technician to correct the error. On March 18, 2013, I spoke with a Claude from LG who told me that there was no report of my conversation with Josh, and that he would get Josh to return my call. On April 5, 2013, I spoke with Tia explaining the whole story again. I asked to speak with a manager but he was in a meeting. In the meantime, I have purchased a two-burner stove. The clicking noises are annoying. The kicker is that other households have complained about the clicking noises. What is LG and Sears going to do about it? Can they correct the problem? Or is this problem insurmountable? It is 4 months since I received the notice from Sears.

Im another LG hater, and will never even consider another of their products. Our 2-1/2 yr old washer leaves either a black or a white fish scale type residue, which is worse after cleaning the tub. After talking to LG several times, we were told we use the wrong detergent, the wrong tub cleaning product (both untrue) and that we should just keep cleaning it. Our other choice was to call a service person at our cost. We are retired, and do 3 - 4 small loads a week. This shouldnt be happening to an old machine, let alone a new one.

Bought a beautiful $3k LG armoire fridge in Jan 16, worked great until it stopped in Sept 20. Compressor replaced, worked a week or so, failed again. LG contracts with A&E, they came back, said a clog & fixed. Worked a couple days, failed. A&E came again, ordered ANOTHER compressor and other parts, fixed again. Worked 1 day, started temp fluctuating, then quit after a couple days.In the meantime, my numerous angry calls to LG resulted in promises of a new fridge after 3rd repair, reimbursement of food lost & mini fridge I had to buy. None of that has happened yet. Dont forget, every time I call to say it failed, its another week or 2 until A&E can come back out. The waiting game is the most fun part. A&E back out today, this time says coolant leaked out, so since he could replace it LG wont honor the new fridge promise. So now I have to wait to see if it fails, I wont put anything in it just to lose it again. Oh, thats something else, when you lose all your food, and have to buy a mini fridge, you dont get reimbursed for both things, you have to choose one. Since I dont keep every receipt for every food purchase, I couldnt claim that, so Im trying for the mini but not holding my breath. To anyone reading, keep EVERY receipt, repair document, phone log, email, text. You may need them. Recording the conversations isnt a bad idea either, so you have proof of the gaslighting you will get. Ive no doubt this beautiful $3 thousand dollar kitchen paperweight fridge will fail again soon. I will never buy anything else from this company. And LG, dont ask me to private message you as you have with the others. Im not going to. Youll be hearing from me soon enough.

I called them today, since nobody contacted me. I was told that my claim was rejected because there was not enough documentation from the technician and the technician did not state that the dishwasher is not reparable! I said that he did not say that. I was standing next to him when he called LG and was told that there was a recall on the dishwasher and he received TCC number which I also wrote down. (And I was told later by LG that they cannot find that number in their system) This is a technician from LG. This is not mine technician. I do not really know or care what paperwork they need to exchange. I am trying to have working dishwasher for 6 months now! I do not know why LG is not standing behind their product and cannot resolve this problem in 6 month. I have ordered this in June 2020. I do not care if the dishwasher is repaired, replaced, but I just need to have functional dishwasher.Original Review: In June 2020 I have ordered LG dishwasher from Home Depot for one of rental units I manage. Because of shortage of appliances it came 2 months later. This is one of many dishwashers I bought, but all others were Samsung. When tenant moved in this unit, they called me that there is a rubbery smell and smoke coming from the dishwasher after about 30 min of washing. I called LG, LG said the tenant has to call because they will take them through different steps. Tenant was told that they have to keep running it that it is normal that the dishwasher is new. But smell did not go away. Technician came in, but said that he cannot stay for the whole cycle and they should keep running it. Then I called LG and was told that they will call another technician and got another appointment. (4 months has passed already.) My tenant moved out because they could not use the dishwasher. Another technician came and spent a lot of time examining the dishwasher then he called LG and found out there was a recall on this dishwasher and gave me TCC number which LG gave him. I was told I will just call LG and give them the number and they will exchange the dishwasher. I called LG that I am calling because there was a recall on the dishwasher and gave them the TCC number. LG told me that they do not have the number in their system and they will call the repair company (which LG sent) and they will call me back. Nobody called me nor they called the repair company! I tried the next day and was told that the recall department will call me back... Again nobody called me. It has been 5 months since I have reported problem for the first time. Nobody can still wash dishes and my apartment is vacant since I cannot place new tenant in till I have dishwasher. LG is a nightmare to deal with. I do not understand how they can stay in business. I will never buy any LG product because of the customer service they provide. There is nobody who takes ownership and resolves an issue. My tenant was so upset they wrote to VP of LG. Tenant is in the process of building a home and they make sure none of their new appliances are LG.

I was happy with the young man that repaired our refrigerator. He was professional and completed his work within a timely manner. I was disappointed in LG for not trusting me, I told the lady the compressor was not running. The fan and lights were working, just not the compressor. The temperature in the refrigerator was 65 degrees plus. I also told her I had heard the compressor running loud a few days before and now nothing. If the lady at LG had trusted me, the part could have been ordered and here or with repairman when he arrived here the first time and I could have my refrigerator repaired and running a week earlier. I am all not happy that repairs had to be done within the first few years of owning it. I understand that this is a regular occurrence on refrigerators now. Disappointed in the integration of the companies putting in place planned obsolescence. I have a 25 year old refrigerator that is still running and has never had repairs done to it. The big profits for the companies, is not good for the consumers or the landfills. I am thankful for the warranty that did cover the parts and the lady at LG for covering the labor repairs. I am just sorry that I have to be without my refrigerator for a extended period of time.

My husband and I bought a house with a LG range already present in the house. After using the convection oven for about ten months I noticed blue specks in our food. I investigated the inside of the oven to discover the blue enamel was peeling. I called a repair company who called LG, they requested pictures be sent of the oven. LG said they would provide a partial refund if we could produce a receipt for the range since it was out of warranty and irreparable. We can not produce such document because it came with the house. I demanded to know if the paint we digested was toxic, the customer service rep said he would find out, but would not pay for the stove.Another week (three now) went by, I have a recorded message from another customer service rep stating they will not pay for the range and also could not tell us if the paint was toxic for another MONTH!!! Because it was made in Korea!!! If the paint is toxic, we will be dead in another month I guess. Any product used for cooking, peeling paint containing unknown substances from Korea MUST be recalled!!! LG may refuse to replace my range because I dont have a receipt, but they should at least offer to pay medical bills for blood testing of the four people whom ate the unknown substance in their Korean enamel.I wanted to help others avoid this same trauma so I took to Facebook, where LG accused me of spamming and blocked me from their page to hide this toxic secret. I also still have this message saved to my phone. Like every other complaint on this site, I am sure they will say they take pride in their product and refer me to the website. The fact is the website, the company, customer service, no one knows or cares what we ingested and until this is fixed this product needs to be taken off the market.

After using LG washer WM4270HWA several months, the ink writing is coming off from the washers front panel and front panel buttons. Please look at the attached picture. The panel was not cleaned using any cleaners. The only explanation is there can be some detergent residue on the fingers after loading the detergent (coming from the detergent bottle or cup). It will dissolve the ink. This is the design problem since it has to be assumed that you are dealing with detergent and LG could cover the front panel writing with transparent plastic or film as they actually do on Power and Start/Pause buttons, proving that they are fully aware of the problem. They could use other inks or just glue the stickers that can be replaced later. Unfortunately, they didnt think much about it and went with the cheapest solution, and this is not the cheapest washer model. Finally, they refused to replace the panel saying it is a cosmetic damage. However when all letters will be gone how to select the washing options? It will be a functional issue. Having extended warranty is not helping either, Home Depot, where the washer was bought, is saying the same. One of their suggestions is to take a marker and write on the panel. Ridiculous nonsense. Be aware.

I paid over 1,500.00 for a LG refrigerator LFC23760ST just three years ago. Its the last time I will ever buy LG products again. They carry just a 1 year warranty and will charge me an arm and a leg to replace any parts that I need. The circuit board went out and I was told that its $400 dollars just for the parts to fix it. Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

I trust this brand and I had other products of LG like cooking appliances, microwave ovens, dishwashers in past and always had positive experience about LG products. Cool innovations like space-saving features, eye-catching style and energy efficiency, love the alarm feature, the room for storage and the bottom drawer freezer. Everything worked well except the ice maker. The ice maker clogs frequently and has to be manually emptied or pounded from inside the door to release ice from the door ice dispenser. I had couple of service calls and it still did not function properly.

I purchased the above noted range back in March 2014. Just recently, there is this noise from the fans when you turn the oven on. It does not matter if the oven is on convection or just nonconvection mode. The same noise still exists. We live in Saint John New Brunswick. I called a few appliance companies to service the oven. I was told, we do not service LG ovens.I went to the facility that sold me the oven and asked if they knew of a service representative. I learned from the store that sold the appliance, there is no one in the area that services these LG products!! We called the LG 1-888-542-2623 number just to be told that there is no one in the area that services these! Buyer beware-dont purchase LG products!! They cant service what they sell! Am very frustrated with these products!!! What a waste of hard earned money!!

I bought my LG top loader in 2012 and was initially happy with my purchase. After about a year I noticed some rusting at the bleach dispenser but I just ignored it.Fast forward to 2017 and it has turned into a full blown big deal. It has rusted out, corroded, ready to crumble! I contacted LG and they were happy to send someone out to fix it for a flat rate of $245, to put another defective top on it that I would have to replace in a couple of years, whether I use bleach or not, because this has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with bleach! Upon doing a little online research I learned that I am not the only one having this issue, there are dozens, perhaps hundreds with the exact same problem! Yet LG swears that WE are spilling bleach and they are not liable for any repairs! But many washing machines before have had bleach spilled and did not rust like these do, so it must be a defect that LG will not fess up to. I am mad! That they are getting away with this and ripping people off!

The LG ice maker design is flawed (LG Refrigerator LFX25975ST103). I purchased the item new from Home Depot in 2010 and luckily with an extended service contract. Initially, the problem was the water dispenser. The dispensing button stuck and flooded the kitchen before I could get an LG representative on the phone. The ice maker would not function and was replaced after numerous service calls between September 2010 and January 2011. It has never functioned properly, always crushing most of the ice. This leads to a crushed ice dam that forms in the door. Eventually, one must clean out this mess. After being a slave to service calls in 2010, I decided to utilize my Home Depot extended warranty and attempt once more to have ice from this very expensive investment.A crack existed in the ice hopper and a very talented serviceman came to my home, analyzed the problem, and ordered a new ice hopper. The part arrived last week and since then, the same problem has existed. Now, I am unable to remove the ice hopper due to the ice dam in the door. This entire problem is due to the design. We keep the temperature in our home at just under seventy degrees year-round. When the left door is opened, the vents between the main refrigerator body and the door allow warmer air to enter the ice maker. The flap door that opens to allow ice to eject also allows warm air to enter due to the long length of the trap door opening, 5 seconds. This allows some melting of the ice that is trapped and crushed in the hopper to melt then re-freeze in the blades. Then the damming cycle begins once again.

We have already had the dishwashers front panel replaced once because of mysterious stains that appeared (off white/greyish color) and now it is happening again. The shape of the stains are very odd and could not be splatter or drips. Is anyone else having this problem? I believe the stains are coming from within the door.... While trying to get a pic of stains, I just noticed my dishwasher leaks too!

My model is an LG top loading washing machine WT4870C. I bought this brand based on a recommendation from Consumer Reports. I like the many options such as water temperature, spin speed, and the quietness of the machine when its working. This machine also has sounds for things such as when the load is finished, and when the drum is unbalanced. Since my washer/dryer space is limited, size is the first consideration. Brand reputation is the second consideration. It can be a hassle to get a repair person at a time that is convenient. If the washer was noisy, that could be a deal breaker. This machine does well when washing heavy loads as well as light loads. Sometimes the estimated time shown on the washer isnt close enough to the actual washing time, so if you are in a hurry, wash later.

I called the LG Washer Recall Hotline first thing Monday morning. I was told that I would get a call in three to five business days to schedule an appointment. Thats a long time to wait just to get the appointment. So I called Best Buy since I bought an extended warranty of 5 yrs (glad of that!). They are not allowed to service recall problems. So, today being day four of the five-day wait, I thought Id call the service provider they assigned me to. No answer, but I left a message. I thought what the heck, maybe I should call LG back. Guess what? They made an error, the man said. They never gave the repair facility a phone # to reach me at. Gee, I would think someone would look at the repair order and figure that out! So, here I sit with laundry piling up because I have an inoperable machine. The drum came off! Im just lucky nothing was ruined inside of it when this happened. Im so shocked by this ineptitude. I once had a GE refrigerator go out. I called the company and told them it was maybe four years old. They had two people out to replace the motor the same day. What a difference from LG! Oh, and my LG is three years and four months old. I hear Speed Queen is the best, but I never see it sold anywhere! I would caution everyone to avoid LG!

Our LG range was purchased July 12 2018. Three months later in October we got an F3 error on the panel. We called for service and 4 times a technician was sent out to replace the panel but no one ever ordered the part. So week after week waiting for either a part or just replace the range we were not able to cook for three weeks. Again we called and was advised to submit a claim with receipts, we did that. Then after customer service advised us we needed to show PROOF of purchase. After 45 minutes on HOLD we were at that time advised they will only allow $150.00. No one ever explained this at all. Home Depot said after 48 hours its the manufacturer. LG is now saying its the parts A&E appliance specialist that should have deemed it not repairable but LG said it has to break 3 times... What a nightmare... Thanks for ruining my Thanksgiving. Hope everyone at LG enjoyed cooking for their families!! I gave them one star because you had to choose.

Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa
Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa, Florida last Nov 28, 2014. Even after reading the reviews, stating that the machine left a stranger smell, didnt clean well... I was not totally convinced. :-( BIG MISTAKE!!! REVIEWS - BELIEVE THEM - Yes, the machine is not good AT ALL. The machine is not used too much, but after few month... the smell that was coming from it was incredible disgusting!!! It looks like something had died inside (let me make clear, I do rinse all dishes before I put them inside of the dish washer). Glasses started getting to be white. Plates I could feel there were something being left on them, they do not dry completely. After few months I got 2 guests in my home and the machine got to be used every day... OMG - then I really could see the damage - I finally decided to call for service after 10 month.CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2. When I called the LG, they said they could only find me by my phone number, but they did not found me. I called the store I bought it from - Pacific inside Best Buy, they said ONLY by phone number, I gave them, but they would not find me over the phone. So I walked to the store with my phone bill on my hand. THEN THEY FOUND ME.All this took me another month to deal with. Now I am on the 11 month of my warranty, my time is running out (which Best Buy can find you by whatever info you give them)... Best Buy manager step in, apologize and ask the manager of Pacific to make an appointment for service call for me. Yes, they did, but today I was waiting from 8 a.m to 12 pm and nobody show up. I called the company, and they said, they dont service my area. So I said, What? So, after me spending all morning waiting, and not going to work, you dont come? They said they had called LG, and told them they dont service this area, and LG should had given my schedule to another company.I called LG again... LG said I apologize... someone else can go to your home on Wed. I said, I cant not go to work on Wed. They said, Well, Advance Tech Service, did not tell us that they did not service your area. We cannot do anything. So I said, Well, again, its me, the consumer who gets in the middle of Best Buy, Pacific, LG, and Advance Tech Service... No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake, for my pay day that I didnt make. The LG manager hang up on my face. Its rude, cruel and not right. The only thing I want is a machine that work properly and well, and someone responsible the mistake. LG and customer service - VERY BAD - DO not buy from them or from Pacific.Updated on 11/12/2015: OMG - the LG service man came to my home yesterday. After showing him my machine, how dirty my dishes were, stainless steel full of white soap, cups of coffee with all the coffee inside, I told about the terrible smell that would come out between washes, showed my cabinet that had some type of damaged on the side due to moisture... He couldnt find anything wrong with it. He said the only problem was You have to turn your faucet to hot water to a 120 degrees before turning the dish washer on. This is the problem with your machine... He even suggested that I would install a heater under my sink!?! I have lived in this house for 16 years, and I have had only one dishwasher before, which basically broke after enough use, and always worked perfect. What is he talking about?!?! Please help!!! Its under warranty and do not want to fix it.

LG REFRIGERATOR LMXS30776 - Back again...after 1 month of compressor being replaced, after a month to obtain part, now there are leaks in the coils. At what point should this piece of metal be replaced! Paid $3,000.00 for this item and have only had 2 years. Trying to get it repaired with the extended warranty cost me missed work and money, food and money to eat out until repaired. 1 month later I am back at square one. I have pictures of food lost and a man in my refrigerator trying to figure it out. Who and when will LG step up and get me a new refrigerator! Additional, my husband had to assist with remove parts and pulling out the refrigerator. Something I could not have done. I AM READY FOR A REPLACEMENT!

TrueBalance Washing Machine - Top Loader WT1501CW - We recently got this washer (purchased new) & within a week I knew we made a big mistake. At first I thought we just needed to adjust to this type of machine (weve used a front loader with no problems for years). We bought a extra large capacity but cant put but a small load in because it doesnt move the clothes. Ive washed on bulky load hoping it would wash better but it didnt help. Clothes on top stay in top & our clothes doesnt get clean.I sweat a lot & its bad when you put clothes on that smell like they already been worn for three days. My daughter works in a factory & her pants always look dirty with grease. I wash my clothes I wash small loads, with color bleach, Biz stain & odor eliminator, Downy with odor defence, & Wisk deep clean detergent & Downy fabric softener on stain care option & prewash. It never puts enough water to cover the clothes even when we use the extra water feature. Worst purchase we have ever made. I cant say this enough...dont waste your money.

Couldnt agree with James of Dover, DE more. Good stuff, James. Didnt think Id ever be laughing so hard about my Awful LG washer. From the day it arrived, it has controlled, taunted and frustrated me to no end. One load cycle averages about 24 hours and three check ins on my part. Considering a washboard as a replacement, to save time, effort and aggravation. And frankly, the matching dryer isnt much better as it almost invariably dries clothes down to damp, at which point I have to start it again to wring out the last ten minutes of time needed to get to dry. Stingy machines with no redeeming qualities. Steer clear.

It started when I called a washing machine professional to repair the washing machine as it has stopped mid cycle. It will not drain or spin. It will fill up and then that is it. The tradesman came to the home and pulled a hair band from the filter and that was it. The washing machine is began to work fine. Now 7 months later, the problem is happening again. Filling, then sitting in a load of water. My husband has drained the washing machine manually and checked for any further blockages and this all appears to be clear. It will not drain so that I can take the load of washing out? I am so frustrated.

We purchased our LG top loading washing machine back in 2010 from Sears. Almost from the beginning, we were experiencing some very high speed spinning products. After numerous complaints that never amounted to anything, last year 2013 LG sent a notice about reprogramming their computer system in this machine. That changed all the settings, times, etc but did nothing to the UE message we were receiving on the machine which meant an uneven load. Two weeks ago, Nov. 6th, 2014, a new stator for the motor was shipped to us by LG to be installed free of charge by Sears and that did not fix the UE problem.Yesterday 11/25/14, the same Sears technician came to the house and told us we needed to change a sensor and the clutch assembly at a cost to us of $703.20. Today, 11/26/14, I contacted LG and they told me it was not their problem. And I told them I would get an attorney and they said go ahead. I will never purchases another LG product again because they do not stand by their product especially when they are wrong.

On March 28, 2015 our LG front load machine was run on the tub clean cycle. It overfilled with water and the door seal failed. Water poured out of the machine and it just kept on filling. Water damaged several rooms in our home. We handled the emergency by shutting off the water supply. Hooking up shop vacs to the drain hose to empty the water in the machine. Shop vacs were filled many times over to clean up the floors and empty the machine. Commercial Dehumidifiers, floor dryers and fans were brought in to try and save the wood and tile floors, cabinetry and personal things. Water bubbled out of the wood floors in our new home.We contacted our retailer, Grand Appliance in Madison Wisconsin and they said they will file a claim with LG, but that LG doesnt typically cover both replacing the defective machine and repairing the damages caused. I will report back when we have something in writing from LG, but we are not happy that they havent responded yet and even more unhappy that the retailer cannot assure us the manufacturer will make this right.

Bought LG French door fridge for $3275.00. Compressor went out in less than three years. Floor damaged and food lost, as we were not home that weekend. Called LG, they said try to find someone to work on it. Had two different repairman out, neither would work on it since its due to the compressor. Something about closed systems. Sears repair said they dont work with warranties and Best Buy said they didnt have a qualified person to work on it. Went through the Holidays with without that fridge. Been on the phone many times with LG, only to be told theyll call me back, but have not. Its been over a month now. I dont know what to do, its still under warranty. 1) Super-duper energy efficiency is achieved by hard tumbling. I always set up this machine on the lowest possible setting for soil and spinning, yet it ruined a whole load of clothes. Everything made of knitted fabric (read: all T-shirts and all short-sleeve shirts) after one single washing cycle is stretched to the point that it is no longer usable, precisely - became 2 times wider and 2 times shorter. Also, I have 2 regular shirts ruined - the machine tears off buttons with pieces of fabric, and just tears apart fine fabric. I want to underline again - it happened on the lowest soil and spin setting. So, basically, if you are interested in Delicate cycle - it does not exist. All other cycles have no value, since you will get your clothes ruined anyway. The only thing the machine could be usable - washing jeans and soldier uniforms. Towels and linens are okay too, but forget about washing your clothes, any knitted and fine fabric.2) Because it is high energy efficiency machine, you cannot choose water temperature. Well, nominally you can, but in practice it tries to use cold water. In most of the settings except the last one, you will get cold water in the washing tank. The highest possible setting, hot/warm still uses cold water from the tap, and the machine does not have a water heater. So, to get hot water only you have to dance around it, and turn cold water tap off, then on.3) Water efficiency feature does not exist - it has a couple of settings like half tank and full tank. So, if you want to wash a couple of jeans or 4 shirts, you will get a half tank of water, and the tank is huge.Overall - taking into account the price, the efficiency, and the amount of good clothes I have spoiled by the machine - this is the worst purchase in my life.
