I purchased an LG gas range at our local Sears store thinking that it looked great in the photos. What a disappointment to spend over $1300 on this poorly engineered product! The control knobs cracked and became loose immediately. The customer service was a joke, just like the commercial on TV where the man (Peggy) from Siberia answers. Calls got dropped etc. New knobs with the same poor design cost $40.00 each! I did not replace them. I used glue and nylon ties to hold them on. The flames are all uneven and the metal covers are de-laminating. The knobs now are peeling from heat. I have decided not to buy any more LG products. It’s the only way to fight back obsolescence.

Refrigerator and freezer intermittently warm up (not defrosting!). Refrigerator compartment goes to 60 degrees and freezer to 40 degrees (contents thaw and melt). Refrigerator less than three years old! Called LG (plan to be on hold forever!!). Had to pay upfront for service contract as some of my system components are still under warranty (would not schedule my appointment until credit card cleared). $362 upfront for one service call. Cheapest plan available. Authorized service dealer that was sent showed up two hours late to a four hour service window (waited 3/4 of day for technician to show). Technician never got a tool out, didnt measure a temperature, didnt remove a panel, never looked behind refrigerator. Unable to diagnose a problem. Worst service experience I have ever had! Called LG again (did I mention to plan on being on hold forever!). Explained my service experience and asked for a supervisor to help me. Said supervisor would call in next three days; no one called. Called back asked for supervisor to please call me. They promised a call in two days; no one called!!! Called a 4th time and spoke to an LG consumer affairs person. They were no help. Told me to call original service technician. I then cancelled my repair contact less a $100 diagnostic fee. Strongly advise NEVER buy an LG refrigerator. They are unreliable and their technical support is horrible if you have a problem.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator on 4/17/2017. On 8/20/2020 the unit stopped cooling. I contacted LG on 8/21/2020 and they confirmed the unit was under warranty and dispatched a local technician to come on 8/27/2020. Technician came as scheduled and basically said LG is known for making faulty compressors and he had about 40 other homes waiting for compressors. I followed up weekly but the parts were on backorder. On 9/11/2020 I received a call stating they could return to fix the unit on 9/17/2020. On 9/17/2020 technician arrived and stated the issue was not the compressor but the tank which holds the coolant. He said he should have the part in 2-3 days. After 5 days of not hearing from them I spoke to LG headquarters who confirmed the local technician did not know the issue so they dispatched a different local technician to arrive on 9/25/2020. The technician did not arrive on 9/25/2020 so I called LG HQ again and they stated the technician cancelled the appointment but did not know why I was not made known of this. They stated corporate approved a defective return number for my home also known as a DNR number but I had to call 888-412-8357 to follow-up. I called that number and waited 2 hours but nobody ever came to the phone. I tried again today, and no luck. I would stay away from LG appliances in all as this has been a nightmare for my family.

Brand new LG top freezer refrigerator was replaced twice. None of the freezers could maintain a zero or lower temp - sometimes getting up to as much as 15. LG told me theyd send someone out but since the problem is random, if it isnt above zero, they will charge me for the call. INSTEAD of researching what LG has done in the past to fix this problem and just doing that repair, they insist I have to wait until the fridge constantly fails. Which is may or may not. Meanwhile, I cant protect food from freezer burn and spoilage. I called LG. Was disconnected. Called again. was put on hold 15 minutes and was disconnected. Called again. Was told someone would call me back. No one did. Emailed asking what the fix was for this issue and was told to read the owners manual and that I had to call their 800 number to talk to a person. The email contained a link to a chat which told me I was not authorized to use. So I have a new refrigerator with a useless freezer and no help from LG. All they need to do is tell me how the problem has been fixed for others. Instead, they not only lost a customer, I will caution others not to deal with LG.

The original was a Samsung which was replaced as it was new and junk. The LG has nice, clean operating features and reliable and never an issue. Loads are clean and spun out very well and no noise. You would not even think it is operating as it is so quiet. Ordered the pedestals as well for the front loader and second best item with it for storage. Give a full 5 star Rating.

I chose the LG refrigerator because I had done a lot of research and it was the best one of all. It is large and can hold most of our groceries with no issues. All I wanted it to do was hold groceries and it has more than met that expectation. It has a door that separates and lets you have more storage for more items. The freezer is huge and has a lot of room. I am able to find things I need quickly and easily. It is the best refrigerator I have ever had. Its nice and I am very happy with it. I cannot think of much I would want to improve. Maybe making the ice maker faster is something as it can be very slow and I am impatient. Sometimes it doesnt stay as cold as I would like but it is very easy to fix.

We got our LG refrigerator at Costco two years ago. Then we started having problems with our ice maker. We called it in and LG sent somebody out here to replace it about three times already. But the technicians have been good and theyve helped us with all the questions weve had.

My refrigerator is less than 4 year old and has stopped cooling. It is either a loss of coolant or a failed compressor, both of which are still in warranty. They scheduled a tech to investigate the problem the following day. This appointment was canceled by LGs automated system after the scheduled time for the visit with a statement that they would schedule something within 3 to 5 business days. I called LG to express my pleasure at the level of their customer service and was told that the repair will probably take somewhere between 5 and 7 days IF the parts are available. In the meantime, I am without a refrigerator.

Buyer Beware: We purchased an LG over the stove 2.0 Microwave middle of Nov 2019. After installation I turned the surface light of the microwave on. When I went back to put a dish in the microwave I found it to be extremely hot inside. We had not used the microwave nor the stove below to generate such heat. We turned off the surface light & checked the interior of the microwave it had cooled down. We then put a thermometer inside the microwave & turned the surface light back on to check if the light itself created the heat. In less than 1/2 hr the interior of the microwave heated to 117 F degrees. When we turned off the light the microwave was cool. We then called LG to alert them to our experience. The rep first hinted that it could be an electrical problem with our home. I explained our kitchen had been recently updated including all the electrical which was inspected by our local county inspector. They then sent a service tech out to examine the microwave. LG technical support told the service tech not to touch the microwave. They issued us a Claim number & an internal Bulletin about the problem. The tech told us we had to replace the light bulb ourselves despite it being new & under warranty. My husband is an electrician as well his friend who is a master electrician. They both researched the model. LG changed from the earlier model a 30 WATT incandescent light bulb to a 50 WATT Halogen light bulb in the same lighting compartment & model. The hole for the 30 WATT incandescent light bulb is still in the compartment & next to it is the newly added 50 WATT Halogen light bulb. IT sits just below the microwave box with absolutely NO VENTILATION. We were advised to notify our States Attorneys Office as well the BBB. We alerted the store we purchased it from to check the models they have on the floor & beware of the problem. Had we just turned on the surface light & left our home I cant imagine the outcome. If youre seeking to purchase a new LG microwave first check what type of surface light bulb the microwave is equipped with before you purchase it. LG obviously has no solution or will back their warranty on a less than one month old microwave.

Had microwave for around 11 months. Glass started to peel on the inside manufacture defect. Contacted LG numerous times sent pictures. Pictures of receipt and delivery receipt first they were going to send me a box and return it then they change their mind and said that before they could give me a refund because they dont repair countertop microwaves. They said first I had to buy a new LG microwave then send them pictures of the old labels cut or destroyed. Of the old microwave then they would give me refund. I proceeded to tell them that I did not want to buy another LG microwave because I thought they were crap and I should not have to buy another of their products. That didnt go over so well. All I wanted was the microwave to be repaired or replaced. I will not be forced to buy another one of their products. I already have the stove and refrigerator that had to be repaired five times in the first year. Part of a companys integrity is stand behind their product when something goes wrong and not forcing you to buy their product but instead encourage you to buy their product again by the service you received when something goes wrong. Now all I can think of is going to college for 8 years to become a lawyer to sue LG over their refund and return policies. But in reality will probably just use their piece of crap microwave for target practice to cite in my rifle.

The thermistor of my 3 years and 9-month old LG LFC25770st stainless, french door, $1799 fridge overheated and died. LG no longer makes this defective part. So instead of a $150 to repair, I will need $1100 to replace. I only need to spend $1100 to replace since they are generously pro-rating my fridge at $700. Did I also mention my matching LG stainless microwave died after less than three years? All my non-LG appliances that I got at the same time are still working fine, and so is the $37 countertop microwave we have been using as a replacement for the last year. Stay away from LG products.

Bought online Costco store. Paid over $2000.00. Both fridge and freezer sections died suddenly in less than 3 years. LG sent repaired person first visit Nothing wrong (But frozen meat are become soft.) Second visit he did something. It works but not as cold as you expect. In next few months again stopped working. I am so tired of cleaning out rotten food, dairy, meat and seafood. I never had such problem with GE or Kenmore. I will never buy LG anymore. So happy to have big fridge with bottom freezer, door in door latest style. I have not even call this time yet. Just finish clean up all inside this Fridge. I hope my warranty is still good or I will complain to Costco and LG to do something. I am tired of this again and again. I won’t expect after I spent this much money to get such useless material and service takes 9 days first time to come. How unhelpful. I tracked down my receipts and have everything but I have to search where I kept. No problem, Costco online always can get it again.

Received a replacement compressor, but it was the wrong part. Had to contact customer service to let them know on Aug 12th. They asked for a picture of the serial tag, which I sent that same day. They replied Aug 14th, saying they were checking with their parts dept. I contacted them Aug 16 asking for an update, and again on Aug 22, to which they replied that they would be happy to look into this for you.On Aug 27, I got a message saying that the part should arrive that day. The tech we hired came 2 days later to install. So... after 2 months of living out of a cooler, we had our refrigerator back. As I said in my original review, the refrigerator is perfect for us, I love it. Unfortunately, I wouldnt buy another LG product, ever. If they start giving them away for free, Id be in line, but, nope. Not spending any money on their products. I still stand by the one star rating.

Model number LFC23760ST. My wife and I purchased this refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer at Best Buy at the recommendation of the sales person. It seemed to be a good refrigerator until we used the ice maker. The ice maker is designed very poorly. As the ice cubes begin to build up in the container the ice begins to fall out of the back and underneath the freezer drawer and causes the drawer to get stuck. This happens on a constant basis whenever the container gets close to being two thirds full. Another downfall of the refrigerator is the crisper shelf and Im sure that all the other glass shelves have similar problems. From what I am able to determine the shelves are made of tempered glass. This is the first time I have taken the shelf out to clean. I did not take the other shelves out to clean, just the crisper shelf as Ive always cleaned them in place. I first left the glass shelf sit for about 15 minutes while I cleaned out the inside of the refrigerator and other parts. I then began to wash the glass shelf with lukewarm soapy water, and then I rinsed it off and let it stand for about seven minutes. There was still some water on the glass so I decided to wipe it with a clean cotton hand tower. While drying the shelf the action from slowly and softly wiping the shelf of remaining water it made squeaking sound when a glass window is being wiped clean. Then all of the sudden the glass shelf exploded on the third or fourth squeak. I mean, the glass shelf literally exploded and shattered. It did not shatter in place as a person would assume. I had glass all over the sink, counter top, all the way onto the top of the range, onto the window sill and all over the floor in all directions with the glass shards being about five feet away. I even had shards hit me on my body, arms and face, but luckily none got in my eyes. As a handy man who cleans many apartment units and replaced appliances, Ive cleaned over a hundred of refrigerator glass shelves and never once had this ever happened. Guess I should have taken pictures and send it to LG. Now I have to replace it and its over $50 but Im going to call LG and see what they have to say. If you have ever seen an opera singer singing and breaking a glass, this was similar except on a larger scale.

I never used LG products before and didnt know the pain of LG product. God was kind until I bought LG fridge. This fridge is making me cry within 3 years of my purchase though the warranty on its compressor is for 10 years. It has failed thrice in 3 months. Had the LG customer service been active to fix the problem properly, I would have thought of a mistake buying LG products. But LG service is worst than their products, they are there for namesake and to do nothing. It is almost a week time. Fridge compressor is down and I lodged complain, they are not bothered yet. I am calling LG customer services more than I call my relatives/friends and family (all put together). I know most of their employees by name. On top of that they refer me to their ASM, who has already resigned and moved :). I do not know whether it will be fixed or not and by when. I think only miracle can make it work or I will have to buy some other fridge.

My 2.5 years old LG fridge stopped working 2 days ago. No warning. The front panel said the fridge was working at optimal temperatures, but everything defrosted. We purchased this dryer from Lowes in Round Rock Texas in February 2016. It was functioning properly until about a month ago. You would hit the power button, select your cycle and hit start. It would chirp and die immediately. A tech came out, said it needed a board. He ordered it and it came in and was replaced. Worked for a day or two and did exactly the same thing. He then stated that the power from the breaker box to the plug had some sort of power fall off.I called the electrician who verified no issues with the power. The LG Tech came back, the problem was not fixed and he stated the same thing. I called the electrician back. We changed out the breaker and the plug. Everything was working as needed but the dryer still would not start once the start button was activated. The tech is coming back tomorrow to check the system. I will repost if we are not successful. For a dryer that costs $1200 this is simply unacceptable.

My 83 year old mother purchased an LG refrigerator about 2 years ago. She’s on a fixed income, so this was a significant purchase for her. I advised her to purchase the extended warranty for peace of mind in case something happened. What a joke. The refrigerator stopped cooling—freezer too. We called the repair number on her extended warranty & were told that the soonest they could get a repair technician out was over 9 days away. Well, not ideal, but we figured we could figure out how to make it work. The tech called to confirm the appointment & informed us he had ordered a new compressor to be shipped to her house because “they go out all the time.” Wow. That inspires confidence in the product. The repair day came and went without a tech showing up. When we called to inquire why the no-show & were rudely told that we were supposed to call when we received the parts. Well we saved the voicemail from the tech and there was NO mention of calling when the parts arrived. So they rescheduled the appointment, and again, the soonest available was a week away. The appointment was supposed to be from 1-5. We confirmed this for the 3 days leading up to the appointment. Yes, they assured us, the tech will be there between 1&5. Guess what? Again, no tech, it’s a Friday and the office closed at 5, so no help.Fed up, I called a local repair company. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. So I call LG to see if they will at least cover the labor for the repair. I’m told that because I didn’t use their “approved” vendor that they won’t cover the repair. Seriously? Clearly the LG refrigerators have a known issue with the compressor going out, but unless you use their “approved” vendor, you are out of luck. After over 7 hours of calls to LG customer service I was finally able to get ahold of the Executive team. Supposedly the approved vendor will be out tomorrow between 1&5. Yeah, heard that before. Fingers crossed they actually show up this time. One way or another, I will NEVER purchase an LG ANYTHING and I will advise EVERYONE I know to do the same. Worst customer service EVER.

We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

Updated on 03/11/2019: This is a follow up to my January 2019 post. I lowered my rating to one star since the dryer (DLEX5680) was repaired only to break again within 6 weeks. The dryer was serviced and our house dryer vent was cleaned as recommended before using the dryer. It worked wonderfully for 6 weeks and now have the same symptoms. There should be a recall on this dryer. Very frustrating.Original Review: I purchased the dryer in mid-2014. Worked well first 4 years... Broke with a common issue. The dryer stopped working without warning. It thinks its drying but the machine is not running or drum rotating. Evidently this is a common problem since the repair company knew the problem and the part to order without a visit. Its been 3 weeks so far dealing with the warranty company and now we have to wait for the part. I will follow up this review with the wait and repair time.

The tech said that when I got the first one replaced, they haven’t actually solved the issue with the compressor yet. He said that now, it has been updated and it should be fine.

I purchased the LG Direct Drive washer model number WT1101CW a couple of years ago. It worked great the first six months. Now virtually every load you wash throws a U.E code meaning load is uneven while in the spin cycle. If you dont pull the load out and place it by weight around the tub it either shuts off until you do or fills back up with water over and over again. Rarely does it solve the problem itself. I would rather have a bottom of the line washer than this piece of junk. I dont understand how it received the Energy Star Rating when it waste gallons of water on every load not to mention the extra electricity. It makes you wonder if the Energy Star Rating means anything on products. Whoever is in charge of it obviously didnt do much testing on this unit. Companies like LG and Samsung make great electronics but when it comes to appliances not so much.

I purchased a LG top loader in March 2015. Less than 3 months later the machine kept registering an IE symbol. I contacted LG support and the earliest they could send someone was 10 - 14 days. Then the contractors they listed were not in my state! After contacting customer service dept a 90 minute phone call was told the service company that I found willing to come out and service machine was not covered. No parts or labor charges would be covered. I am still in negotiations to try and resolve broken circuit board. DONT BOTHER BUYING LG PRODUCTS. NOT WORTH HASSLE! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

We purchased a French door LG refrigerator in Mar 2016. It was delivered and installed in Aug 2016. On Jun 15, 2018 the compressor went out. After an hour on the phone with LG customer service and contacting 12 different LG authorized repair people, none offered Saturday service. We finally found a local guy, willing to work on an LG refrigerator (MANY appliance repair people state on the home page of their website that they DO NOT SERVICE LG REFRIGERATORS or their outgoing VM gives this information). Within seconds of having the freezer torn apart, he confirmed that the compressor was out. We then spent the next two weeks, while on vacation, speaking with LG customer service and the repair person to TRY to get action towards a compressor replacement part before we got home. We arrived home to no compressor part and after ANOTHER call to LG customer service, found out that our claim had inexplicably been closed! WTH? I then barfed all over the LG USA Electronics Facebook page when the social media rep was able to get more information than 7 calls over two weeks with LG customer service had yielded. LG offered to pay for the part and the labor. Problem is NO LOCAL REPAIR PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH LG because they PAY SO LITTLE and this job will apparently take ALL DAY. So LG recommends this repair person who is an HOUR AWAY. It has now been two more weeks (yes, a whole month without a refrigerator or freezer in the heat of California summer) and STILL NO CALL that our repair is imminent. So today we call LG Customer Service again to find out the parts were delivered to the authorized LG repair person on Friday, July 13th and it is our responsibility to work it out with the repair person. To say that I am FURIOUS is an understatement. I want LG refrigerators BANNED from sale in California because of faulty manufacturing and beyond horrific customer service. LG is committing fraud. We did our research before buying this refrigerator. LG refrigerators received favorable reviews. BUT NOT SINCE WE BOUGHT OURS. LG apparently made a good product when the manufacturing was in S Korea or Mexico. Since moving their manufacturing to China, however, we are in the MAJORITY of people complaining about the shoddy piece of junk LG refrigerators now are. I want our refrigerator repaired so I can get rid of it and purchase a quality KitchenAid or Whirlpool refrigerator. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING LG AGAIN AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

We purchased our refrigerator a little over three years ago. The compressor just went. We lost everything in both the fridge and the freezer. All the ice in the ice maker melted and leaked all over the floor. I called the LG number found the manual. I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The refrigerator “specialist” asked me find the model number and serial number. The place he told me to look was incorrect. He became impatient with me and told me he could only give me three minutes. Three minutes... I found the information (not where he told me to look) and he then gave me the names and numbers of two local appliance repair businesses. When I called one of the numbers I was asked for a PIN # from LG. Apparently the “specialist” was supposed to have given me one because the fridge parts are still under warranty. Now I had to find the receipt for when we purchased the refrigerator. This all happened two days before we were leaving for vacation. So obviously the refrigerator won’t be fixed until after we get back. I’m extremely disappointed with this LG product. I can’t imagine ever buying another LG product. I will certainly be warning friends and family.

We purchased a complete new set of appliances (including this LG electric range) in September 2011 at Best Buy. During the late summer/early fall of 2013 we began to experience difficulty turning the stove top burners off. This progressively got worse and shortly thereafter we started to wake up in the morning to a glowing red burner on high; so it also turns “on” by itself. Since then (approx. 6 months ago) I regulate our LG electric range by turning off the “range” breaker in our house circuit panel. This is really inconvenient. I quickly looked online to see if others experienced this problem and soon became aware of recall #13-031 initiated on November 8th, 2012. I then called LG and explained the issues; they transferred me to the recall department who initially said “sorry, your range is outside of our recall parameters; it’s too new”. I explained that I have the identical make, model, symptom, and purchase location as what recall #13-031 states. They didn’t care. I then informed LG that I also have three young daughters and I am afraid I will forget to turn the household circuit breaker off and one of them may get burned or our house could burn down one night. Again this didnt matter.During this same call the lady I was speaking with asked if we still owned our LG top load washer. I said “yes, we love it”. She said that unit has a recall and they would send an authorized tech out to repair it. This occurred in the late October/early November time frame and the washer was never the same, ruined. They tried several more times then finally agreed to replace it. We went without a washer for two months and commuted to and from the laundry mat almost daily while we waited. They finally exchanged it with a new model which runs great. During this wait I kept on calling LG customer service not only asking where our replacement washer was, but also updating them on our LG electric range. One day in December I finally was able to talk to a sympathetic recall rep who said “your range is included in the recall; it’s deep in our notes”. He said he would arrange the recall repair, finally! A few days later the local LG authorized repair center called and said they could not find our unit listed or a recall number which they needed to obtain the parts. I called LG again, spoke to a lady, and she could not validate my previous call. Regardless she heard me out and said “we will take care of this under good will”. The LG authorized service center came out in early December to inspect it, verified the problem and ordered the parts. They returned on December 17th, 2013 and installed the new parts and as soon as we activated the breaker the burners lit up red on high; once again the recall made our appliance worse. I stood right next to the tech when he called the LG tech line on speakerphone. They informed him not to touch it anymore; he has done all he can do. They will review it for replacement. Again, this occurred on 12-17-2013. I was emailed a link and submitted my proof or purchase. Then a few weeks later on 1-10-2014 I was contacted by an RA coordinator, “**”. She said LG would issue a refund but first needed to pick up our range, truck it to Minneapolis, package it, right it to Illinois, inspect it and then issue payment. She said this process would take “2 to 3 weeks” which after our recent washer experience I really have to question. I asked what we should do for 2-3 weeks without a range? She said we could front the costs of a new range and if we don’t have the money then perhaps we could explore financing it at zero percent interest then pay it off when the check arrives… I then asked what if LG repairs our range and ships it back or rejects the claim? Dead silence… I politely said this would not work for us. We have a very dangerous LG range and we want it repaired or replaced just as LG did with our washer a few months ago. We cannot afford to be without a range for 2-3 weeks nor can we afford to purchase another new range and wait for unknown results. LG denied this request three times (last conversation on 3-18-14) stating because our LG electric range is not part of the recall. So here we sit waiting, not sure this above experience is aligned with the LG Mission Statement.

The repair companys now refused to repair it again stating that its a lemon. LG products in general are poor quality, Ive also had problems with LG stoves and microwaves. I bought this washer from Conns 2 years ago along with the matching dryer. I bought it on the recommendation of my nephew who had the set. I guess he never used it otherwise he wouldnt have recommended it to me or 2 of my sisters or he flat out hates us. My 2 sisters have already sold off the washer for cheap on craigslist and bought GE products; I will be doing it the same thing soon. This POS gets off balance even when during a Tub Clean which is done when the washer is empty. It can take hours to complete a load as you have to babysit it to make sure you wont get the UE code; when that happens it will fill the washer with water and try again, over and over. When I can get a load to go through a cycle completely without an error code I feel like I have won a prize. I do know that the best way to get a load to complete is to fill that sucker up! Small loads will continually go off balance until you reach the breaking point of pulling out most of the wet load and spinning it out by sections. Ive done this too many times to count but I wont wash baby clothes with the regular laundry.Oh yeah, when the machine had to refill and refill with water, the detergent and softener dispensers get filled with water even after the load has completed so when you go to do another load and pour the product in, it releases into the load immediately as its full of water. I now have to check that the drawer is empty before adding in the detergent, if not then I have to shake and open and shut the drawer rapidly to clear out the excess water. If you have small children be aware that they can climb in the drum and if they have accidentally turned it on and closed the lid, they are going for a ride! My 7 year old daughter and her friend did this to scare me only it backfired on them, the machine started despite the fact I had the child lock enabled. The lid would not open even after being unplugged, the mechanism jammed. We had to break the lid to get the girls out before they suffocated. Needless to say they were the ones scared beyond belief and mostly unhurt except some scratches and bruises. The drum is HUGE, 2 kids fit in there along with half a load of laundry! LG replaced the lid and said they would work on the child lock aspect and get back to me but I havent heard a thing from them.I dont think it cleans well either, Ive pulled out crib sheets and they still have spit up on them which is gross. Because of the way the drum agitates, items usually end up balled up or tangled together so not everything gets cleaned. On every load I usually set it to the soak cycle so I know everything is getting wet; when I forget is when I find stains that should have come out. Buy any other brand than this one, Im buying a GE even though they are loud machines. This is a quiet machine, you dont even notice that its refilled the washer in the rinse cycle for the past four hours straight as the UE signal doesnt always come on.

In August 2009, I purchased $5000 worth of house appliances (refrigerator, range, washer and dryer) with extended warranties from Best Buy. The LG refrigerator, LSC26905SB, has not operated properly since day one. Best Buy came out once every three months with an inoperable ice maker. After the first year, Best Buy informed me there was no extended warranty on the refrigerator. I called Best Buy corporation and explained that the online customer service representative forgot to give me an extended warranty on the refrigerator. They told there was nothing they could do. Fast forward to 2012, I am replacing the ice maker chute which is $289 and the ice maker tray drips which is another $200. I believe Best Buy intentionally left the warranty off of the refrigerator because it is a piece of garbage. Of course, I requested a copy of my receipt and Best Buy stated they dont have a copy.

WT4870C - True Balance...I dont think so. I purchased the machine in August, 2013. From the beginning I would get uE/UE messages. I would rearrange the clothes, press the Start button and hope for the best. Finally called LG and the response was that they would email me directions on how to balance the machine. Thats it?! Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty plan. The Lowes Service Advantage rep was very nice and set up an appointment with the local appliance repair tech. He arrived today and asked (1) had I had any service before and (2) did I know about a recall? No to both questions. He explained that he would order parts and set up an appointment for next week. So far today Ive had uE messages on all my loads of laundry. On the one hand Im glad my complaint is not unique; on the other hand am I going to have to replace the machine I was so excited about getting?

LG fridge (LFXC24726 French Door Fridge) bought in 2016...compressor failed in 2017. Woke up Memorial Day 2018 and found a pool of water around the fridge. Fridge was warm inside and the frozen food soft. Called LG factory specialist and he used the Smart Diagnosis to analyze the problem. He said I should call a repair person, because the fridge was not working (dont need Smart Diagnosis to tell that the fridge is not working!!!). Removed all the food and scheduled a repair person four days later. The day before the repair person was scheduled to arrive, I checked the fridge and everything seemed O.K....cold fridge & freezer. We decided to have the repair person check the unit to verify that it was O.K.I told the repair person the whole story about the unit not working four days ago and now it is working. He said: THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH LG UNITS...The defrost computer sometimes gets stuck and has to be reset. Just unplug the fridge from the wall or trip the circuit breaker, wait 15 seconds and the computer will reset. That piece of advice cost me $75.00. The repair person confirmed that this information is not in the owners manual and probably the LG factory specialist dont know about this computer problem. I hope this story will save somebody a repair service charge. I learned my lesson...I will never buy another LG refrigerator.

Well LG you have a lot on your plate right now and thousands of consumers without refrigerators due to your faulty compressor problems. Mine has been out since last Wednesday and LG cannot find anyone to service their product even their LG technicians aren’t available. Living out of 3 coolers and had to buy a box freezer. Now on my way to buy a used refrigerator because not knowing how long this issue is going to take! Was reassured that I would be reimbursed for buying the box freezer, food spoilage and old refrigerator. My case was sent to regional manager and being review while being told I’d be called back in 3 to 5 business days with a resolution to replace or give me my money back if I pass the review and if they cannot find anyone to come out and fix it. I don’t want to ever own another LG product let alone have them come out and replace the compressor with the same faulty issues to have it break down again in which it would. I also have a 1,000 dollar LG dishwasher and 6 months ago the top digital touch board went out! 1 year later! They replaced that and praying it doesn’t go out again. So now playing the waiting game. Don’t buy LG. Appliances will never be made the same way that they were years ago in the 70’s and 80’s to last a lifetime. I have reviewed just about every brand out there and all I find is garbage reviews!! What the hell can you buy that’s reliable anymore!

Love the door compartment with Interior lighting and the outside window. Also love the pullout freezer on bottom with side by side refrigeration on top. Seems roomier than others with four drawers and multiple shelves. Shelf configuration options are helpful, and this LG seems more convenient for use on a daily basis. The stainless does show dirt or spots on the exterior, but it cleans easily with stainless cleaner. The beeper that sounds when door is inadvertently left open is also a plus. I have a 2-year-old LG Dryer. Not long after I bought it, it started catching clothing articles on the dryer filter at the front of the door. My clothes are getting ruined. The dryer will twist all the clothes together and the piece of clothing that gets caught, will stretch out or rip. I have already replaced a filter that cost $30, thinking it was a defective filter (not warranted). I know LG is aware of the problem, because when I called the manufacturer, the salesman admitted that people were having that problem. I want a refund. I will have to buy a new dryer. By the way, one of the bars inside the drum fell off. I bought a top loading washing machine (no agitator in November 2013). The first week I washed a pillow and it shredded it and any towels to pieces. I called Home Depot and they said I had to deal with LG. A repair person came out and determined that the plastic rim around tub needed to be replaced. I wanted LG to replace my washer and they said NO. They told me that I had to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they would consider replacing it. The plastic rim got replaced and the washer continued to shred clothes. The next repair person came out and found sharp edges in bottom of tub that have been ripping clothes. He then contacts LG and they say that this not covered under warranty. The repair will cost $800 (which is more than I paid for the washer!). The repair guy told me to only wash clothes on Bulky bedding setting so that clothes will less likely shred because it uses the most water. The following month I had a loss in the family and gave up trying to deal with LG. So for the past 4 years I have been using this washer only on Bulky bedding setting and throwing out a piece of shredded clothing about every other wash. The washer never cleans well, my whites are always dull and makeup never washes out of washcloths. The top latch also broke and I have to hold the lid down for a while before it will start. For past two weeks I have been getting a an error message that my brother who works on washing machines could not fix. It will not drain/spin. My brother took the back of the washer off to see if he could help and there was tons of pillow stuffing and shredded clothing pieces from the very first week of having this machine! We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us in 2010. Last year, after 6 years, our daughters LG washing machine broke down. This year, yesterday, our 7 year old LG washing machine broke down - in each case it was the motor - you could hear the defective motor. The motors are specifically labeled on the machines as being guaranteed for 10 years. We went out and bought a Samsung washing machine and dryer the same day as the breakdown, expecting the LG dryer at 7 years was not reliable either. Oh yes. There are only the two of us - retired man and wife - living in the house so the machines are not used that much. If we were a family with small kids, the washing machine doubtless would have broken down much sooner. I wonder if the executives running the LG operation are reading these consumer posts? They should. Word gets around.

We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not buy an LG washer and dryer! I purchased a high end type LG washer and dryer in Nov. 2013 and have had to have both of them repaired at least two to three times in the first year. At least during the 1 year warranty, LG did pay for the repair costs, however now that this warranty is over, I guess I am looking at spending $300.00 or more per year in repair costs to keep the units operating. LG Customer Service states that they will not extend the 1 year warranty or replace either of units. Buyers should consider other manufactures such as Kenmore, Westinghouse, etc. My past experience with Kenmore has been very good, and I am now sorry we did not buy Kenmore units. The dryer model number is: DLEX5170W and the washer is: WT5070CW.

Purchased LG Model LFXS29626B because of good reviews and it had features we desired like 2 ice makers. Worked fine for 3 years then stopped without any signs of problems. Research discovered common failures of the compressors in these LG refrigerators. Contacted LG by phone and using Smart Diagnosis was informed by the technician that the compressor had failed. My worse fear with no extended warranty. LG offered to repair my unit without cost to me. It was repaired the same day, in short time as the repairman came with required parts on hand. I applaud LG for owning this problem, but feel cautious wondering if the new compressor will fail after a short time period. We hope not because up to this point, it has served us well and we like the looks, and features. Previous refrigerator was a Kenmore, which lasted 16 years and cost one fourth of the LG.

I am having an extremely difficult time getting any cooperation out of their customer service department. If we end up having to pay for this ourselves, we will likely just replace the stove. It has proven to be nothing more than a piece of junk. I did a lot of research before we bought the stove and it had excellent reviews. I’ll be more cautious next time.

I love this dryer! I like the flexibility of entering in the temp and length of cycle or just pick a cycle pre-set. But it takes a while to see which pre-set cycle will work. For instance, drying sheets on normal cycle isnt going to work. I select bulky and it gets the job done. We have had this machine for about three years now and have had no problems at all.

I bought a LG French door refrigerator (Model: LFX28978ST/00) on 8/27/10 from Home Depot. It retailed for $2399. LG only gives a 1 years parts and labor on most of the unit. I purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot. In less than 2 years, the icemaker in the door when out. The extended warranty replaced, no charge. I have now had the unit 7 years and 4 months and the cooling system is going bad. Only the compressor is under warranty (10 year). To fix, Im looking at over $1000 and $700 of that is just labor. This was my first LG product and it WILL BE MY LAST. Never again!

I then called LG at 800-243-0000 and told them that I had just read all the complaints about the range knobs, and how upset I am to learn that LG was doing nothing about the problem. I was then told that LG has a new replacement knob that they will send me free of charge. Five new knobs. No charge. I then asked why they were not notifying their consumers. No answer. I like the freezer. It has a lot of space to store different things in it. I can fit a ton of ice cream in it. I also like the shelving in it. It has tons of space to store whatever I need. But I dislike the design. I feel like there should be more controls. It should be more futuristic like have a smart display like some other refrigerator. But this refrigerator does an excellent job of keeping all our groceries cool. It was a nice refrigerator and it fits our budget at the time. I still would have like to go with a more premium model. But for now this is one of the best refrigerator. If I could change something about this refrigerator it would be to have an even bigger freezer than what we have now, right now its fine but it always good to have more space or if the ice machine could produce ice faster.

Why the heck would I spend over $1000 with the 5-year warranty that Home Depot sold me for a machine that only lasted 90 days before a major repair happened? Its not Home Depots fault but the stores have got to start calling out these companies who are selling inferior products and charging an arm and a leg for them. I now have a repair that took 3 days for a service tech to come out, only to tell me that it will be 5 days or more before the part is in and then they will call and schedule the repair. I understand how repairs might happen but strangely, I had a Maytag that did the same thing at the 90-day mark too! It went on to have 3 other major repairs such as leaking all over my floor and ruining the wood (was a slow leak I could not see because it was under the machine), control panel stopped working at 90 days, would not clean dishes and the final straw was another control panel replacement. All under 1 year. So I got HD to take it back and give me a new machine and guess what I picked out??? LG... big mistake. I did not buy a machine like this to have no working dishwasher after 90 days. I will never buy another LG product. I guess customer retention is not important to this company!

Updated on 01/20/2020: I had hoped to update my review to at least Satisfactory, but NO. An LG repair man was here this morning, the refrigerator is seemingly fixed - but we will see. The problem is that when my husband talked to LG last week they said the cost of parts would be NO Charge. Then the guy gets here today and says only the compressor is covered - but in order to replace the compressor he has to literally break another part which WE have to PAY FOR! How is that even a thing? I am floored by this shoddy engineering. So, it costed us $360 to repair a part covered under warranty. To top it off the man was so rude to me, kept leaving the front door wide open, including the screen door which HE locked open, and we have a dog. I kept closing the door behind him - take a hint. Then, he moves the refrigerator back (almost to where it belonged) and created 2 long black marks across 3 of our floor tiles. He intended to leave without even addressing that. I grabbed a rag and tried to clean it up and it would not come clean. He said Give me that! (just like that) and tried to wipe it up himself, to no avail. He then grabbed something out of his little bag and started scraping the floor. The marks started to fade a little. He then stands up, says Here and hands me a small piece of sand paper. Now I have to clean this up?? I could hardly believe my eyes, but by this point I just wanted him to leave my house. I have never experience such poor customer service. This is day 9 without a fridge, taking up space in neighbors freezer, buying ice to keep everyday items cold! My initial thought still stands, no more LG for me.Original review: While other manufacturers allow major appliance warranties to be transferred, as when you buy a house, LG does NOT. So, the new owner a $3,000 refrigerator that fails is completely out of luck. Sad, I will NEVER buy another LG product, and if I ever buy another house, the brand of appliances will be a factor in decision. Shame on LG!

Im not sure what one more negative review will do for LGs image problem with its refrigerators. However you would think that as the reviews pile up and pile up that at some point the company might start dealing with the fallout and consumer dissatisfaction. My model is (rather was) a french door type with bottom freezer. While Ive had it the interior light bulb melted its plastic cover, Ive had the ice maker replaced twice, and the thermostat assembly has gone twice. Some on warranty and some not. The second time I decided to cut my losses (tons of food lost) and no comfort that the problems would end and replace my fridge. In these days of sustainability thinking however I remain upset with this company and the crappy product I bought. Thing is the glitzy outer casing looks brand new. What a shame.

Worst mistake Ive made, buying LG refrigerator Model LFX25976ST French door, freezer on bottom and ice cube and water dispenser in the door. Within the first year the ice make was giving me problems and after numerous service calls and complaints, I finally had to pay to have it replaced. Now mind you, this the 7th year of owning this piece of crap. In not quite 7 years Ive four service calls, including one where I had to replace the intake valve for the water at the bottom rear of the refer. And another service charge and parts charge. Now its becoming a money pit. Here I am 4 months short of 7 years owning this refer. And the compressor goes bye bye, This time its a $65.00 service call to tell me that it would cost me another $1,569.00 to replace it. Now Ive had enough. Went out and bought a new refrigerator and am hopeful that its going to be a better experience than the piece of ** LG that I had! My recommendation is to never buy a LG product. The service tech was very happy, a five minute call and made $65.00 for it. He said the letters on the refrigerator should read GL in stead of LG standing GOOD LUCK and I believe he was right. Anyone that buys any LG Product deserves what they get.

This was the number one rated range on several different websites so I thought Id found a winner. Ive had nothing but problems since the day this was delivered and the worst part is that LG has the WORST customer service department I have ever had to deal with. A recent chat representative even wrote that she will go one step a time for me reading from the manual. I have a masters degree in nursing, I can read directions! The stove comes set up for natural gas and it took 2 technicians almost 2 hours to get this set up and installed. Cost me an additional $320 and yes, these were experienced technicians from a reputable company, but very little is known about this model. First issue was that the ultraheat burner would not ignite and had a flare up issue when it did. I had to get approval from LG for a service call and again, even the company of their choice knew very little about this stove. He had to call LG for help from there who talked him through the repair. The upper oven was burning just about everything I tried to bake so I asked him to check that. The oven was set at 350 and his professional digital external thermometer was reading 425 degrees AFTER the preheat cycle and took forever to come anywhere near 350 degrees. The instructions tell you how to adjust the oven temps, but the (+) does not appear on the digital display, as stated in the manual, so you have no idea if the adjustments your making are even effective! After burning lots and lots of food, I finally got the oven to semi work. I put a high quality thermometer in the oven and it was all over the place 300-425 degrees during the baking cycle. Now lets talk about the lower oven. From day one there was a terrible odor which I was told was just from it being new. Again, it burned just about everything I put in so I started playing with the adjustment feature. It got to a point where some rolls were golden brown on top, but the bottoms were barely done, but at least they werent burnt! Not to mention that this thing sounds like you have a jet engine running in your kitchen! Now, heres the real kicker. This morning I opened the lower oven to move the rack and the entire inside was black, covered in soot (see photo of rag I used to wipe just the bottom). I tried to call LG but they refused to let me speak to the technical department to see if this was normal for a new oven or if I needed yet another service call. I was told this department only speaks to other technicians. I called Lowes and this piece of junk will be on its way back to the store later this week. Thank heaven I purchased it from Lowes, at least someone stands behind the products they sell.

Our old washer keeps on breaking down, so we bought an inverter washing machine from LG for around 305USD. The features are awesome. It calculates how much water is needed based on the weight of clothes that you put in the tub. You can set what kind of wash you want it to do depending on the type of clothes you want to wash (heavy, furry, light, undies, etc). You just put your clothes, turn it on, press a few buttons and wait for it to finish.

LG LMV1680ST - We bought this range hood/microwave 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago from (I believe) Home Depot and didnt have any extended warranty, so we arent looking to have it replaced or fixed. Yes its VERY loud, its cheaply constructed of plastic and like so many others, the handle broke and the frame cracked on the top corner. We are going to get a normal range hood and bring my Panasonic Inverter (7 yrs old counter top version) up from down stairs. We just want to inform the consumer of a serious defect. Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

We purchased the LG Smart Drum thinking this was a great investment. It was the worst decision we made. It takes hours to wash one load. It constantly errors with UE no matter what load is in there. Even during the clean tub cycle where they recommend nothing in the washer. We have to constantly reload heavy wet clothes to rebalance eventually have to go directly to the spin cycle and shutting off the water just to get it over with. I am lucky to get two loads of laundry done in one whole damn day.I cant get anything else accomplished because I am babysitting a damn washer. It has caused so much frustration among our entire family because no one can get their laundry done and over in a reasonable amount of time. I am going out this weekend and buying a new washer. It wont be a LG thats for sure. From all the other reviews it appears the washer is a lemon and LG knows it but they dont care. Also, the app they say you can get is not available either. They should be sued for falsely claiming things this washer can do and it doesnt. True balance my butt... this machine is the worst. Buyers beware. You will be sorry.

In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. Those burners take a long time to do small kitchen tasks like boil water. I bought an electric kettle for that. The range takes a full 10 minutes to get to 420. I bought an LG Refrigerator in 5/2011. Three months out of warranty and I spent $533.00 today to fix 3 parts. Now fridges are supposed to last 10-12 years. There’s only one person in the house so it is not abused. I called and of course outsourcing. I spoke to the executive complaint department. If I didnt have the repairman fixing it, they would consider possibly helping out. Since my repairman was repairing the flawed parts, and the refrigerator was warm, how much longer should I wait for their technician to come out? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against LG since so many people have complaints about their product. The parts are cheap, they break. lmx28988st Refrigerator w/ French Door and two drawer freezer. Two significant issues with major functions!1. Loss use of Freezer! Freezer drawer design is low quality and not durable. Details: Plastic cogs on the drawer track are frail and shear teeth easy. The stack up of the cogs on the rails have excessive tolerance. This combination causes the drawer to easily hop off track and excessive ice build up on door seal and door will not shut. Corrective action: Align better quality cogs with the rails to prevent future door alignment issues. Home band aid: Unplug, defrost freezer, take door off to assist in realignment.2. Loss use of Ice Bin! Ice bin feed components poor assembly quality. Details: The claw components that feed and crush ice have a set screw that will come loose due to low torque and ineffective thread lock substance. This causes the assembly to simply fall apart and render the ice bin useless until repair. Corrective action: Identify the optimal torque and thread lock substance to prevent screw from backing out. Another option would be to capture the assembly so that the screw can not back out from the crusher assembly. Home band aid: If you are able to find all parts, youtube has a few videos that can help with reassembly. Clean the threads of the screw and apply Blue Loctite to prevent from falling out again.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator a few years ago. Within a few months, all the plastic inside began to crack. It isnt from abuse. Its not from cleaning with harsh chemicals. Every piece of plastic in the top refrigerator is broken - those on the doors and those holding the glass shelves. The freezer drawers are held on the track with duct tape as the freezer inside is all cracked too. The egg holder is completely cracked also. Looks like dry rot. The parts that allow the drawers to pull in and out also fell apart and/or cracked. I am waiting for the plastic holding the bottom glass shelve which goes along the entire width of the fridge to finish cracking so far this one has a hairline crack.I wrote back and forth to LG who did nothing but tell me they would elevate my complaint higher - but I think they meant lower - as into the trash. It has been 4 months since I gave them my serial number to move the complaint along as they said right away. My entire refrigerator is held together with duct tape. Lucky me that duct tape comes in white now. This is a crime that this company gets away with this. There should be a class action lawsuit. I work hard for my money and this is just unacceptable.

How is it that we can spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on a product and the manufacturer can only stand behind it for 12 months? Am I supposed to replace my washer every 12 months? I guess so, if I purchased an LG!

Purchased LG gas range. Cooking for 30-40 minutes using oven at any temperature will cause oven to shut off and PF will flash and fan icon will flash. If you open the oven door the light will flash on and off. Control buttons dont work until the oven cools down. LG phone tech said I had a power failure. I did not. LG repair guy that came to my house claims it is the power board allowing too much something or other to come through which is causing it to shut down. Hoping he is right and unhappy that I have to pay a repair bill for something in a new appliance.

We purchased a high end ($2,249.99) LG side-by-side refrigerator last summer. Almost exactly 13 months after delivery (the warranty is 12 months), the ice maker ceased functioning. We called LG Customer Service and were told they would try to get warranty coverage and get back to us within 3 days. Four days later, no call, I called back and got the same runaround - they would call back in 3 days. Four days after that, I called again and they said they would call back when they decided what to do. Meantime we are still without an ice maker on an almost new refrigerator we paid dearly for and no one wants to fix it.

This is the worst company and worst products I have ever seen! My new LG dishwasher that was bought in 2013 died in 2015 and needed to be completely replaced! The refrigerator that I bought in 2013 died at the end of 2016 and has not been able to be repaired and LG wants to charge tons of money to replace the compressor which is what failed after 6 weeks and 4 visits by repair companies came to try and fix it! It has a 10 year warranty but when I called its on parts only! They want to charge for parts even though they say its covered! Dont buy LG!! They have the worst products and service I have ever seen!

We noticed water in the tray (leaking from bottom of the washer) in the very first week. Tech call within a week! Not a happy start. Water leaked few months later. Now we see water leak almost every wash. Technician came out and confirmed no leak after running few wash cycles. Fingers crossed... We had to call the technician once for a different issue also. I never had such issues in my previous washer (front load -- not LG) which we used for about 10 years. Also I have a feeling that this machine is using lot more water than my previous one and wash cycles are longer.
