Model LMWS27626S, Production Date was Feb 2021. Bought on March 21, 2021 from Home Depot and was delivered almost a week later. 3 Days ago, noticed water began to accumulate down in the freezer section... Simply put, the fridge stopped working. Just today the technician dispatched by LG showed up and after performing his diagnostics, he told me that both the Main Board and The Compressor are bad and theyll need to be replaced. Imagine a 3 Month Old Appliance from the date of production going bad and to think weve only had this in our home for 4 weeks. This experience just gives me no confidence in the LG Brand at all, yes they are nice on the surface but trash in the inside. Now well be out of a fridge for the next week until the parts arrive. At this point I dont even want to keep this appliance in my home because I know it will break again. Luckily I bought an extended warranty but even so, no amount of warranty will bring the confidence back towards this brand.

Purchased the complete LG black stainless kitchen set up for our newly constructed home. Appliances were purchased at Sears and delivered by them to our new home. Microwave was badly damaged off the truck so it was reordered (Sears fault). Dishwasher, Refrigerator, and Double oven were not damaged as we examined the boxes for exterior crushing or creases. The dishwasher leaked like a sieve the first time we used it!! My husband checked to make sure all hoses were attached properly and all fittings were tight. We could not use the dishwasher at all as it leaked so badly it was ruining our new flooring and leaking into our basement.I took a video as we pulled out the unit and ran it and it was obvious that the leak was coming from the back of the unit. LG repair came over and determined that it was damaged at delivery! I still had the box. No damage to the unit during delivery. LG refused after months and months and pic after pic sent to their US offices and their South Korean offices. This unit was dropped and creased across the back during manufacturing and they kept telling me that it was Sears fault. I could not, in good conscience, blame Sears as I had personally examined the box when it arrived at our home. After 10 mos. of arguing with LG, I went to the local Sears store where we had purchased not just the 4 LG appliances, but a beer fridge, for the basement and a freezer for the basement as well totaling more than $11,000 in one purchase. We had also purchased appliances from them in the past. The new store manager, upon hearing my story from the saleswoman from whom we purchased our appliance, made it right. I told him that I never relented on the story that it was not Sears fault but a manufacturers defect. He appreciated my honesty with LG and replaced the dishwasher.Moving on now to the microwave. After finally receiving the new microwave 3 months after the other appliances were delivered. It was only 5 mos. before the digital display started acting wacky. Then the microwave worked intermittently. Again, I called LG. They assured me that they do not have manufacturing defects as their quality control is above reproach. I said, Great sent me a repairman as it is under warranty. Scott, from LG, ordered a new door which contained all the inner workings of the unit but it was the wrong color. He reordered, came by and replaced it only to find it didnt work either as a week later it was acting like the door he just replaced. Finally Scott was able to get the right door and it works. That process took 2 months.Just before Thanksgiving, 2017, we noticed just under the handle of our new refrigerator, the paint was peeling off of the black stainless finish. It is not an area of the door that we touch regularly or even at all except to wipe down. After the holiday, I sucked it up and called LG once again. LG in South Korea told us the warranty was up on the refrigerator and there was nothing they could do. I told her to take a look at the history on our previous appliance issues and that it may be time for us to possibly file suit with the company as now its 3 out of 4 of their garbage products that have caused us no end of grief and that Sears has documentation and I have pictures and other paperwork accumulated over the year from hell since we made the purchase of their products. She put me on hold!Scott came into our lives once again and ordered a new door and installed as we decorated our Christmas tree! I thanked him and told him that our oven would probably go afoul soon and we may see him again. He answered questions I had about the knobs on the front of our LG stove that when bumped, turn on without you knowing and have emitted gas. My worry is that I will bump a knob and be on my way out rather than the 3 times it happened while we were home and smelled the gas fumes. Scott said there was some kind of kit we could get to prevent the problem. Why didnt LG tell us that at some point. I will order it as soon as I finish this post to assure the safety of our home and family. Please do not purchase appliances from LG! They are dishonest in their dealings and lied to us over and over and I have it documented. Some of their local repair affiliates are hand in hand with them and lie for them without doing their work. They walk in and determine it was someone elses fault and tell you to go after them. Sears in North Olmsted, OH made the situation with the dishwasher they sold us right. I cannot thank them enough. Sears has a contract with LG and other manufacturers that says that Sears repair may not touch LG products that are under warranty. They are not allowed to look at your appliance if it is under LGs warranty or the warranty becomes null and void. The consumer is at the mercy of the manufacturer as we were and the manufacturer, LG, is dishonest in their dealings.

LG Refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST/06 - After three years of use, my LG refrigerator had a compressor go out. The technician told me that this was common with LG refrigerators in the first 3-5 years. What made matters worse, although the compressor is still under warranty, its replacement will take 5 days (seven with weekends) for delivery. If in fact this has become a common problem, replacement parts should be far more available than 5 days-unbelievable. To make matters worse, my family will be without a refrigerator for 7-10 days (it took two to get a technician to my house) and all items that were in the unit when the refrigerator broke perished. Well be living out of drive thrus until then. I cant comment on the repair because Im now waiting for the compressor (today is day four).

I love the configuration of this refrigerator, especially the middle drawer. Beyond that, this expensive refrigerator has been a major disappointment due to multiple and repeated problems, including a loud noise when the compressor is running, and ice build-up in both the refrigerator and the freezer sections, resulting in three service calls for each issue.

I liked the pricing as well as the features that this refrigerator had to offer. And it fit conveniently in the space provided. I liked the fact that it had an automatice ice maker along with purified water. I liked the freezer space and also space for the vegetables and fruits as well as the meats. There were no features that I disliked about this refrigerator other than it didnt process ice quick enough for me and especially when I had company over for outings.

We bought an LG appliance package from Best Buy for our new house in 2015. Two years after, the refrigerator quit cooling and cost $600 to fix. We had no refrigerator for 2 weeks while waiting for repairmen to come out and then to order a part and return to fix it. Repairman told us the part he fixed had failed on many refrigerators - evidently a problem with the part. Four years after purchase, the dishwasher developed a drain problem and had to be fixed twice. This was $400 to fix, plus we had to do without the dishwasher for a total of about a monthI spent at least 30 minutes on the phone to Customer Service and spoke to “Corey” in executive services. He was unsympathetic and not inclined to help me at all. He offered no relief or compensation. He actually told me the new electronic appliances are not made to last. Very frustrating and disappointing. There are only two of us in the house, we are senior citizens, on fixed incomes, and we don’t abuse our appliances. Very frustrating.

We bought this refrigerator in 2016. It was between this and the Samsung. I liked the looks of this one and it has a great reputation. I did not like the 3 small vegetable drawers, but thought it was minor and I would get used to it. I still do not like them. Celery doesnt fit unless cut. The only really good place to store big milk jugs is in the door which is supposed to be the worst spot to store milk. Other locations would make accessing all corners awkward. But these are minor compared to the real problem. The refrigerator stopped cooling about 4 months ago. The repairman said LG was aware that the coils had been made with inferior material so replaced it for free. (Should have been recalled before I lost all the food in my freezer and refrigerator). Since, the parts were replaced the unit has been extremely noisy. I can hear the high pitched noise upstairs from the kitchen. I called the service guy to come out again. $175.00 later I was told that it is a more powerful compressor and nothing can be done about it. I may have to get rid of it because it is driving us all nuts! Its unacceptable. Refrigerators are expensive! If this is the best LG can do, I dont want anything to do with their products!

We recently purchased a new home and with it came an LG washer. After a service call to LG, followed by a maintenance call from a local repair company we are STILL completely dissatisfied with this washer. I have never in all my years of doing laundry (4 children) have ever had to sort clothes based on weight. Even with doing so, the load can take up to two hours to do. The spin cycle is awful and continues to repeat itself. It is quicker to dry a load of towels versus doing a load of wash with the LG. I have read many of the same complaints on this board. LG, you need to do something about this. I would never, ever recommend an LG product to anyone based on my experience with this one product. It is the absolute worst.

I am beside myself with this machine. Right from the get go after purchase, the motherboard had to be replaced because it would stop spinning and send an error code. The worst part though is its ruining my clothes. I only put bleach in one cycle and that is my white towels and other whites. It doesn’t matter how long after a bleach load, it could be the next day, the bleach leaks on my colored clothes and has ruined many, expensive towels and cotton expensive cotton shirts. Even if I try to dry the dispenser out. I have called lg and home depot where I purchased the machine. Lg had the dispenser replaced but nothing changed. By the way, I put just a very small amount of bleach in the dispenser. This is so wrong - I have so many ruined towels and I threw everything out before, but now I’m saving them for evidence. Who can help?

Purchasing LG products is a piece of cake but the quality is awful. My dishwasher already had to have the board replaced within the first year. The compressor of the refrigerator went out completely. We lost our refrigerator and a freezer full of food. And trying to get customer service by phone to help me was ridiculous. The only reason it got fixed as quickly as it did was because I had to complain on LGs Facebook page to get anyone to respond to me. The manager that I spoke with on the phone whenever I called to get the refrigerator repaired was an employee of LG. He was rude and disrespectful. He didnt act like he cared one bit whether or not my refrigerator got fixed or that I was out of a refrigerator for over a month. I will never buy another LG product again and I would not recommend their product to anyone.

I bought this three years ago after doing a lot of research. I never thought I would need to buy more of a warranty for this unit. Two people and basic regular use it’s not working anymore. I lost all the food in my freezer and likely the fridge. I’ve checked under the unit and checked the coils and the fan is blowing and the air coming out is really not cold. My freezer is approx 40 degrees. Really sucks to spend so much and have nothing three years later. My last was an Amana and lasted a long time! So disappointed????

$3,000 5-yr.-old top of the line LG refrigerator still not fixed after 5 weeks! Horrible customer service! LG has not been able to repair it in 5 weeks with 6 visits from repairman. BTW: ONLY PARTS are covered by LG warranty, not labor. If your LG fridge breaks the day after you buy it, YOU pay for labor, and each call involves a minimum of two visits by repairman - one to look at it so he can order parts (they keep nothing in stock) and at least one return to try to fix it.The repairman suggested on his FIRST visit that we BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR, before he even ordered the new compressor. They do not want to honor warranty. They want you to give up and buy a new appliance! He actually said refrigerators do not last more than 5 years! My son in law has spent hours on the phone (mostly on hold) trying to arrange repairs, been transferred to departments that are closed, been told to call back tomorrow (when departments are closed), and been told that the earliest available repair appointment was 4 weeks away! He has been hung up on. He has been told that they cannot access his records and that the only department that can access his records is not open today (Friday). The repairman suggested more than once that we buy a new refrigerator instead of requiring LG to honor their warranty. Who spends $3,000 on a fridge they expect to last only 5 years?

LG Front loading washer - I spent $1,200 to get my clothes to smell like mildew. I have no satisfaction getting through to LG online or Best Buy where we purchased it. As with other folks, we have to leave the door and detergent tray open so guess what, the whole house smells of mildew when you walk through the laundry room. I will probably junk this machine because my conscience, unlike those who run the LG Company, will not allow me to sell it to someone else. No stars is the rating for this useless, stinking washer. LG had better step up to the plate or cancel this product line.

Ive heard the compressor failure is a mass issue with LG refrigerators, but what is worse is the time I have to be without a refrigerator. Mine died under warranty on August 1st. Today (8-19-2019) was the 1st service appointment LG had available which is two and a half weeks after calling LG. One would think that with this being a very common issue, the repair person would already have a compressor with him. No that would be too logical. He left today and now we have another appointment to actually fix it on 9/6/19. No loaner, no anything, but just them saying thats the best they can do. That is very poor customer service. Its really hard with kids and summer to be refrigerator-less for 37 days. This is really unreasonable, but we have no reasonable alternative. Other than this MAJOR issue, I loved the refrigerator.

Machine was working and stopped, quit. No power whatsoever in the middle of the load!! When your LG washing machine quits working, as it will and locks the door with water in it with your nice clothes that will smell bad if you do not get them out. Here is how you can unlock the door without any power source to the machine.Step 1: First get soft flat kitchen spatula and use it between top of washer and front panel, on each side or corner there is a latch or tab that will allow you to get the complete top up and have access to the lid or door and also the drum.Step 2: There should be a red string on the side of the latch underneath the door or lid, pull on string on right side of lock and push up on lid or door and this should release your lid.Step 3 You will need a shop vac wet/dry or a sump pump to get the bad smelling water out so your house does not stink for the next week or two before the repair person shows up.This worked for us, when we could not find any site that told you how to do this so we wanted to tell anybody that may need help. We were told it would be a week or more before repairman would be here and did not want to throw away all of our clothes to mold and stink water. Hope this helps!!

I have almost the exact problem as everyone else here with the nasty mildew/mold smell. The rubber case around the door has black mold around it, which would cause dirty black stain on cotton shirts/bed sheets. If this is obviously a darn bad engineer or defect, why cant we do anything but cry and watch LGs executives getting richer with their Life is good slogan? Does anyone here work in the law department that can help everybody out? All I can do now is to go around and give this link to all websites that carry LG washers so that everybody has a chance to read reviews from the actual users, not paid writers who claim to be experts.

I bought LG Tromm set washer and dryer on 10/12/2006. The washer has been a constant problem, and currently, I have been without the use of this machine as it has been waiting for parts. A service man came today to do the repairs (2 weeks without the parts) and found that the drum is bad and stated the machine is junk.I am with American Bankers on an extended warranty that expires today, and I now must wait even longer to see what they are going to do about this machine. The drum has created holes in the front assembly of the machine, and there is even a chance that they do not even make the parts any more. I feel that they need to do something immediately as we have waited long enough for the parts, and now, there are more issues.I would never buy appliances from a store that does not provide their own service contract as that seems to be what is causing such delays in this issue. Why pay good money for the machine and more good money for the service contract, only to be sitting and going on 3 weeks with no washer and no one contacting us to tell us what they are going to do about this issue? This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned, and I will never buy another LG product.

I contacted LG who said, no problem, they do repairs anywhere in the world. As it turns out, not in rural Alaska. They said a certified LG tech had to do the repairs. Since that repair was out of the question, LG sent me a check for my purchase price for the washer, the dryer and the pedestals. Over $3,000. They did not cover my shipping charges. And they cancelled the remaining warranty. I ended up having a local wizard replace both the seal and the door latch for roughly $100. Another minor leak was fixed recently. That set is still working great almost 12 years since my original purchase. No complaints here.

Bought this top of line refrigerator about 5 yrs ago. Had no problems until May 1, 2017. The compressor went out. It is now June 30 and I still am without a working refrigerator. When I called for repair LG recommended the Premium Repair Service Plan saying for $338 it would cover the cost of repair no matter what the issue. They then set up an appointment for repair. The repairman said he needed to order the compressor. Thats when the run around began. First the repairman had to get authorization just to order the part. Excuse me!! This was the authorized repairman that they sent out. Whats with them needing to authorize this? It took a week to get authorization. Then it was ordered. It is now going on 2 months and there is not even an estimated time of arrival for this part. I have called LG who then tells me So sorry for the inconvenience but the part is ordered. It will be 3-5 days. I call them after 7 days only to be given the same spiel. I call the repairman who says same thing. I am getting nowhere with either of them. I wrote to LG explaining the problem as I dont get anywhere with them on the phone, only to have them say they are sorry for the inconvenience but it is Assurance, the company that they contracted with for better service options, that I need to be in touch with. However Assurance tells me that it is LG that is the problem because they have to use LG parts in keeping with the warranty. So I am stuck with no refrigerator while LG took my money for nothing so far. As we all can see this company doesnt seem to be concerned with keeping customers as its customer service sucks and they dont care. I dont know what its going to take to get them to help us. Maybe a huge class action will get their attention.

An authorized LG repairman can inspect the unit (usually for a fee) and order the parts from LG for free, but you pay for their labor to install the parts. If you dont use an authorized LG repairman, you will need to pay for both the parts and labor (but their labor charges are often a lot less, so the total cost may well be similar).

I had an LG washer for about three and half years. The washer stopped spinning. I called LG for the 10-year warranty and was told that a technician would come out and check the washer. I was told it would be around $100 to diagnose the problem. I told LG that the motor was slipping, it should be covered under their 10-year warranty. They said I would still have to pay a technician to come out to tell me what I already knew. I argued with them many times about the problem. I even asked them to send someone out for a courtesy call; they would not . They finally gave me the number for Parts. They found the part for the motor rotor assembly. They opened the back of the washer, undid the mounting bolt, removed the rotor, and sure enough, the rotor assembly gear was made of cheap plastic. It was strange because the new one with a metal center was stripped out. This not only should be covered by the warranty, but also, a defective product should be covered by the company. The whole job of replacing this part was about 15 minutes and $75 in parts. I have photos of the part being removed with its stripped center and the new one being installed.

I bought an LG refrigerator 2 years ago for ~$3,000. Model LFX31945ST. This week it went out. Luckily I bought an extended warranty and called for repair. In speaking to the manufacturers technicians the ice and air circulation fans go out all the time and have to be replaced. So the technician that was ordered by my extended warranty claim came out and did not replace the fan (did not have the part) even though the error code that diagnoses the problem was clear to them. They cannot get the part a week to 10 days from now. So my food is spoiled (have a $250 food spoilage coverage) which will replace about 10-25% of the spoiled food and I will have waited 2 weeks without a refrigerator because even though they know this part is likely to go bad -no technician carries it. I will not buy another LG product but I made the mistake of buying an LG washer and dryer and I probably wont have long to wait until they go bad also.

I purchased an LG gas range from Best Buy approximately 18 months ago. I have recently discovered the knobs have been well-documented as dangerous and we have had to replace all on our own. This complaint is regarding sparking on burners out of the blue! Sunday evening, my husband and I heard a clicking noise and when I entered the kitchen, the stove burners where sparking! The only way it would stop was to pull the stove out from the wall. Still sparking, it was unplugged and we turned off the gas. LG came out today and has no idea what caused this and doesnt know what to do about it. I was told to call them if it happens again. Thats if we are home and, God forbid, not asleep. This is so dangerous!

We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. Those burners take a long time to do small kitchen tasks like boil water. I bought an electric kettle for that. The range takes a full 10 minutes to get to 420. This is an extremely disappointing product.

When contacting LG for assistance, this is what I was told: I have received additional information from our Technical Support Manager regarding your cook top. After review, it has been determined to be a cosmetic issue which is not covered under manufacture warranty. The ring in the picture appears to be created from the pots boiling over. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any assistance with this issue. Scary that LG is being allowed to market a cook top that cant handle pots boiling over!

After 11 days it has not been fixed and we have had no help. We have a household of 6 with 2 seniors, 1 essential worker and 3 young children. This has been a hardship and we let the company know this. We have spent many hours calling, texting and emailing without any end in sight.

We have a six year old French door LG refrigerator, $2,700 purchased at Home Depot. It stopped cooling fridge and freezer. A local repair man told me it was the compressor and that he didnt work on LG refrigerators. I called the customer service number in the owners manual. The sealed system has a parts warranty for seven years and the compressor has a parts warranty for 10 years. When I called them, I told them that my compressor or sealed system was bad as the repair guy had told me. They acted like it was no problem and sold me a repair package for $459.00. They said that would include the repair and a year warranty on the repair. I said great and bought it. They send out the first guy after waiting several days. He said after a few minutes, the compressor is bad and he had to order the part. Well, after several days I hear that he is not coming back to fix it so now I have to wait several more days for LG to send someone else. Another guys shows up and says compressor bad, Im like yeah I know that. He says we will order the parts and it will take several days to get it. He gives me a card and receipt and is on his way. I wait days and never hear anything. I call the number in his card, they say we dont fix LG compressors. This is the same story that I got from the first one and this time I told LG to only send out a service that could fix it because I already knew that was the issue and they should have too since the first guy didnt want to fix it. So this time I was livid. They sent someone else that refused to fix it probably because LG will not pay them enough to fix it. LG continued to give me a runaround after they sold me this repair service for labor on what should be parts under warranty. Not to mention the fact that they screwed me around for three weeks sending their two chosen repairmen out who then refused to fix it but LG was not straightforward on that. I got the same BS story that I read in some other reviews that they say they dont have a repair person in my area. I told them that I live right outside of Houston and if you dont have a repair person in my area then you dont have one anywhere. They then said they would refund my repair purchase minus $100 for a service call fee. I was more livid! At this point I had been out of a refrigerator for over three weeks. We are a family of six with four children. It was our only refrigerator. We were living out of a mini fridge out of our attic and coolers! They did not care one bit. As I figured out that this was going to be a process, I went to Lowes and purchased a basic Whirlpool refrigerator for my garage. After threatening them with BBB and lawsuit, they refunded me my full purchase price of the repair package they sold me. I asked how they get away with not fulfilling their parts warranty. They offered me a one time chance to call my own repair man and I could call in or email his info to them and they would authorize him to get the parts under warranty but of course then I start over on service calls, fees and labor charges and Im sure, more runaround with LG sending the parts that my repair guy would need to fix it. I am so done with dealing with them. From the other reviews I read, Im lucky that my fridge lasted six years! I paid $2,700 for this refrigerator and we have kept it in perfect condition but now it is an expensive nice looking nonworking piece of junk! They are a horrible company. I called local repair companies and many dont even work on LG or Samsung refrigerators. They say their systems are too complicated and awful. I will never ever buy an LG again. I will not purchase Samsung either after what I have read and found out from repairmen. We have been operating out of the one I purchased for the garage and I am researching what to buy to replace my $2,700 LG. Awful, awful, horrible company for customer service!!! I will be purchasing Whirlpool/KitchenAid or maybe GE. It is really unbelievable what they put me through in this process and they do not care one little bit. I am a stay at home mom so I could be around without taking time off work but total and complete runaround and they lie non stop to you. They do not care about you one little bit and wouldnt care if you did have to take off work to deal with their scam and it is a scam!

We have purchased an LG refrigerator that is less than a year old. We reported an issue that when you shut one door the other door pops open. While fridge still technically worked, this isnt supposed to happen (especially with amount we paid); it also affects the ice and temperature and ruined food. We have had two other brands of fridges (Frigidaire and GE) for over 20+ years and this one we can only speak of in terms of months. It is not energy efficiency and does not work properly. We reported the issue to LG and they sent their own technician. (This is after we tried the online tips to lean fridge as far back as possible, etc.) The technician came and did not even touch fridge. When we told him issue he said it was a design flaw and to contact a specific number. We called and they said they would get back to us within 24 hours - spoiler alert and first warning sign, they did not.A few days later I called customer service. The person was helpful and gave me a supervisor number to contact the following day. I did and they set up another appointment which I was told would be the last because they would make sure their own technician fixed it. The technician no-showed. I was persistent and called LG multiple times. In total the technician no showed three times. I used four vacation days and my fridge does not work properly. My customer service was mixed - in fact, one person emailed and said This can happen with top mounts because of the way the duct work is set up. followed by The customer just needs to push on both doors to make sure they are closed all the way before walking away. To me, this wasnt an acceptable response after multiple contacts and only a few mere months of ownership. Half of my customer service responses were terrible in tone and service. I was constantly pushed off and told to just schedule another appointment. I contacted customer service over 12 times, not including the four appointments, three of which LG no-showed after a 5 hour waiting block for appointment time. There were also several times - at least 3 (not including appointments) in which LG said they would follow up with me and never did. We can only talk about our LG product in terms of months. Our other fridges were a Frigidaire and GE unit which lasted 20 years and 22 years respectively. This LG fridge has only lasted a few months. In fact, its basically only worth the $50 my electric company will give me under their program to encourage replacement of energy inefficient units. I would not recommend this product or the customer service. I have copies of my contact, emails, and chat responses and summaries of my phone calls as I plan on following up. What good is a fridge door that makes another one open when you shut it? Apparently this is a common issue that LG has yet to address or fix but just keeps pushing down the line. I hope we can prevent other people from making the same mistake. If I can edit the post after submitting, I will share some of the poor customer service responses and a video of the issue, but I wanted to submit this as soon as possible.

We bought the LFX31925ST 3 years ago, meaning its out of warranty. Last week, error dH showed up. We did research, learned that it means the defrost heater is not working well and had the unit reset by unplugging for a few minutes. It worked for 2 days. This morning, the freezer at the bottom is totally watery. The freezer has gone out!!! The thought of having to call for service on top of our daily responsibilities, not to mention the cost to fix, just bothers us. We had been Whirlpool fans for over 30 years, never any problems with fridge nor washing/drying machines. They worked until we want a new look for our house. We changed to this LG fridge for their large capacity of 31 cubic feet, but...lesson learned...we will never buy LG again. We will also make sure our friends and families learn from our experience with the low quality of this LG brand. We were a lot smarter when we continued to buy Sony TV brand over Samsung. Our brother is having big problem with his Samsung TV!!! Household appliances should bring comfort, not trouble like this. I realize now that there are others who have similar with LG brand products. LG needs to improve the quality of their product or at least, go out of their way to offer service for their fast-failing products, or they will go out of business soon, which we wont be surprised! Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Sony, and other long time name brands are the way to go. I hope this wont happen to anyone else.

Where do I start. I have the top loading, no agitator, wave force. It uses too much electricity figuring out load weight. It doesnt clean the clothes well. The bleach dispenser has ruined many towels. If I interrupt a cycle to add an item (during that time the machine allows you), it screws up the machine on how much water to add so it fills the tank completely full. Contacting the company is a joke. The repairman tells me everythings normal (hes probably in a hurry to go to the next complaint of LG washers. The feature I have allows me to put my phone up to it so LG can hear the beeps and tones for a diagnose - DOESNT WORK (hence the repairman). I extended my warranty to three years. Problem with that is when they tell you nothing is wrong, your warranty is useless. Im sorry for anyone who buys LG! I hope you see the negative reviews and run the other way.

In 2005, I purchased the LG WM1832CW washer and from the beginning, I got an OE error code which indicates a motor overload. I had a service contract and Best Buy was great in sending a repair person to troubleshoot and ultimately replaced the motor. We still have the occasional OE code, but LG told us to reduce the amount of detergent and always use high-efficiency detergent. The smell started and there was a black mold around the front tub seal and smelly clothes. Initially, I thought that the smell was due to sweaty football gear, but it continued after the season. We have used vinegar, bleach, you name it, yet it still smells. Now, Ive had two leaks that flooded my laundry room and I cant find the cause. My guess is that the front door seal is not seating properly every time.

I am having the same problem everyone else is having with their refrigerator. It broke down nearly three weeks ago. I do have a warranty which pays for parts but not repair, however all my food was bad and needed to be thrown away. Had a service man, who was very nice and helpful, who stayed for hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Finally after coming back many times he realized it might be the compressor. Had to order it thru LG which came 5 days later. Now realize I have no refrigerator at this time that works. Couldnt they send it over night delivery? Okay, now service man puts the new compressor in and the next day it worked!! Started getting ice, went to the store to buy food and spent $200. Very happy until today one day later, I wanted to defrost my London broil, which happened to be defrosted already because my refrigerator was broken again. I knew something was up when I had a smell in my kitchen. If there will be a suit against LG I would love to be a part of it. This refrigerator was a lot of money and Im sure everyone else feels this way too! I will never buy an LG product again!!!

Purchased and LG LFXS32726S a year and a half ago. 6 months after the warranty expiration (of course) it breaks down. Refrigerator stopped cooling but the freezer still works. If I paid for an extended service plan, ($500 or so per year) I could have a tech come out the next day. I called a local repair company who came out and said that the compressor had a small leak and that I should call LG since the part would still be under warranty. I contacted LG who then scheduled an appointment for 4 days later even though with a service plan I could of gotten service the next day. Service tech texted he was on his way, my daughter was home and did not hear him knocking. He never texted me to state he was outside. Just left. I texted him numerous times to see what his progress of arrival was and no response, I called various times and left messages and no response.I contacted LG customer service who said my ticket was still open (at 10:00 am, tech we found out had come over at 8:34 in the morning). Waited longer and then was told at noon that the call was cancelled because he could not reach me. Funny his first text came in just fine to let me know he was on his way and when I had not heard from him and contacted him numerous times there were only crickets to be heard. Called LG customer service and was given the runaround. First I was given a number to follow up with that was supposed to be where the LG tech was being dispatched from. Called the company, this was a one man show with no employees who did not have a work order sent to him for our repair. Waste of time and aggravation there. Then with 20+ minute wait times on additional calls to customer service to just be told, call this company and see if they can help, we have no appointments available this week to reschedule you and when I asked for a supervisor... 40 minutes later I finally got one. My daughter in the mean time Contacted LG on Twitter and was given phone numbers of repair companies to call. Great customer service right? Here we are a week later with no diagnosis still and now as I am reading many more people are having the same problems. Finally got the repairman to contact me after speaking to the supervisor which was promising and he apologized and stated it must of been a problem with his phone and that he would be there first thing before 8:00 am the next morning. I personally waited for him and called him when he was late. He returned the call after 9:00 am to state he had family problems but was on his way.He then shows up just to tell me that the fan was frozen and we needed to disconnect the refrigerator and let it defrost. Hmmm when I checked online someone had the same errors and mentioned that it was a refrigerator fan that needed to be replaced so I spoke to my husband and daughter who had by then made a secondary appointment with another LG tech because we were not sure this one was going to show up after yesterdays fiasco. Lo and behold we got a third opinion, they agree with our diagnosis and changed the fan and now it is working again. One week and $429.63 out of pocket later so far (btw found fan only cost $80.00 online but we did not know how to install) hopefully this fan will last another year and a half so we can get money to buy a new NON LG refrigerator to replace this one! NEVER again will we purchase an LG product. I really thought I was getting quality and value for my money and now we have learned to do even more research before buying pricey appliances like this in our future.

Nothing efficient when you have to wash everything on bulky/heavy soil just to get it somewhat clean and then to add the need to wash several times to get them clean only adds insult to injury. Updated on 07/02/2019: This is a follow up to my last review. Yet again, my appointment was rescheduled from July 2 to July 8!! I was sent an email twice over the weekend asking me to call to reschedule my appointment that was supposed to be on 7/2. When I called on Monday morning (7/1), I was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled AGAIN! They rescheduled my appointment for 7/8 - a week from now! How do you sleep at night, LG and A & E Solutions, knowing that you are robbing your customers and have no intentions of honoring the warranty on your products? I will never buy another LG appliance. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. If someone is serious about making this right, you can send me a private message asking for my phone number. Otherwise, keep pointing the finger at everyone else.Updated on 06/25/2019: This is an update to my review on 6/19/19. The response that I got from LG to my review was: We understand that you are frustrated with the refrigerator and we do care about our customers. Because without you there is no us. So we would love to assist you at the moment. We do see that service has been set for June 24. Please keep us informed on the status and let us know how the repair went. LG DID NOT SHOW UP ON JUNE 24TH!! AM I SURPRISED??? NO.LGs customer service department might as well be non-existent. Dont spend your money on an LG appliance unless you are confident that you will never have a maintenance issue. For me, the maintenance issue came after 3 years of owning my $1500 refrigerator!! Because the warranty is under LG, no private repair company will come out to fix it because they have told me that they will never be paid by LG. Furthermore, I have found that very few private repair companies will service LG appliances because of their reputation.Original Review: I bought an LG refrigerator approximately 3.5 years ago and it already died - both the refrigerator and the freezer!! I was told that it would take 9 DAYS to have a service repair company come out. I have tried being in touch with customer service twice and have been placed on hold for at least 45 minutes before I finally hung up each time. The worst customer service. Based on the reviews here, I am not confident that the issue will even be resolved once the repair company comes if I still have to wait for replacement parts. In July 2017 we bought an LG electric/convection double oven stove. Almost as soon as we installed the appliance our first incident with the stove happened. I barely brushed the stove knob and the burner turned on. My husband happened to have his hand on the burner and he felt the heat. That should have been our first warning. Jumped forward to December 27, 2017 @ 6:29 pm. Shortly after my husband had heated up his dinner in the microwave, which is above the stove, I smelled something like plastic burning. I said to my husband I bet you bumped a knob on the stove. He proceeded to the kitchen and when he opened up the door flames and smoke billowed into our living room. Between the two of us we contained the fire and help was on the way.My review regarding this stove cannot be put in stars because they don’t have a negative value. As far as cooking on the stove we had no issues. I loved the double oven. But from our first experience shortly after installation to the night our house caught fire, the knobs were a concern. We have grandchildren who use the microwave... I shudder with the thoughts of what could have happened to them. There were no push then turn knobs, which is a common safety on most stoves, Or the knobs could have been on the back of the stove like some stoves. Now we are facing a total remodel on the kitchen, new cabinets, multiple appliances... etc.Yes, we have insurance but that’s not the issue. This fire could have been prevented if the knobs had a safety feature. I feel for the individuals who have the gas stove. I understand their concern. Gas leak vs fire makes for a bad day. With as many reviews I have read regarding this particular problem, LG should have a recall on this model stoves. Look into rectifying the situation so this does not happen to someone else and turn their world upside down. So as far as LG products are concerned, I’m boycotting them. We even have several other household products but when the stop working, no more LG products in my house. LG needs to step up their quality control on the designs of their kitchen appliances. You should never live in fear of ACCIDENTALLY turning on an appliance.

I had a Samsung refrigerator and it last two years. I went through hell with Samsung because it was still under warranty and it took me three months to get that resolved. Then I bought this LG refrigerator and the compressor failed in it. But I called LG and it was handled the best way it could’ve been handled. I was very impressed. And service tech came out and fixed it. He was very professional and very good. He put a new compressor in it and the difference is night and day. The refrigerator has been running great since then and they got a loyal LG customer now because of the way they handled the whole situation. They backed the product, so I don’t have a problem and I’ll buy another one. My wife even told me that I had to talk to somebody and tell them how the experience was and how well it was handled.

I purchased a Front Load LG WM4270HWA along with matching dryer from Standard Appliance in Portland, Oregon, after reading good ratings online from Consumer Reports for these front loading machines. I had my Asko Asea dryer go out for the third time which I purchased in 2003. I was under pressure because of a pending breast cancer surgery within a week and was told by their repair group that they likely could not get parts on the older Asko. I ordered the new LG set needing sterile clean sheets and nightie after sterile prep before surgery. The repair company called and said five days later they could get the parts to repair the dryer, but it was too late, I had ordered the LG set to be delivered the next day.My first run was one queen set of sheets, nightie and one towel. I immediately got the infamous UE signal and called the LG service number and was told to wash only one type of item at one time. I kept rearranging the load to no avail. I was then told to wash only one sheet at a time. I ran the spin and dry cycle several times to no avail. I then put the very wet sheets in the dryer with over an hour of drying. During the night I was sickened by the smell of sheets and nightie and had to change everything before my surgery. After surgery recovery three weeks later, I attempted to run three different loads of laundry. All kept giving the UE signal. I have severe osteoarthritis (knees and shoulders) and had to travel up and down the stairs to keep reloading the machine because of balance errors. None of the loads came out clean the way my working Asko had cleaned. I then read the ConsumerAffairs report on the machine to find out these machines were not worth keeping especially since I have an extreme mold sensitivity (I am the worst HLA type for mold causing many chronic illnesses).Standard agreed to take the machines back and although they could not retrieve and repair my old set as they had already parted out, for an additional 900 dollars (10% restocking fee plus added cost of Askos) they would send me a new set of Asko washer and dryers. Not the best solution for someone on a fixed income but much better than keeping a mold hazard. Asko was one of the few front loaders not included in the mold class action suits. It should be required to tell customers of pending class action suits before the purchase of expensive appliances. Mold is a life threatening issue for many people. Twenty five percent of the population do not clear toxins from their bodies. I am disappointed that Standard did not tell me of the mold issue but they did take back the machines which I appreciate.

LG wasnt my choice and I honestly wouldnt purchase again. Even talking with the individual who did the maintenance on the appliance said that there were a number of those models that had problems. They all looked and appeared that its a nice unit and I was surprised at how quickly the compressor of the refrigerator went out. Ultimately, that was the problem. As far as other products like the LG flat screen that I purchased before, I was pretty satisfied with that. But something went wrong on the refrigerator side.

I have had the LG WT4870CT top load washer that I purchased exactly two years ago. I noticed rust around the bleach dispenser so I notified LG and let them know about the problem. When I finally got the proof of purchase to them they told me that I did not wipe the area properly. The rust is coming from under the bleach dispenser, leaking through to the top. I will need to hire someone to get to the area under the dispenser so I can take a picture of the problem. If I do it myself they might say they will not guarantee something that was not professionally repaired. It is very frustrating.

The worst item EVER that Ive bought in my entire life. Ive had a lot of amazing dishwashers over the years from cheap on up. This ones a nightmare. From Day 1 there were issues with LG. Plates dont stack. They immediately fall over (like dominoes). The cutlery holder malfunctioned almost immediately. It no longer locks together to hold the utensil basket in place. This results in the far end basket (one of 4) tipping over into the unit from the weight. The top rack organizing glasses, bowls or cups. Again items continually fall over. I (originally) thought adjustable times on both the top and bottom rack was a smart idea. Im sure it looked good on paper but its a complete and total failure. Nothing is secure. Nothing is reliable. Does LG even bother to test the equipment they build? From the bottom of my heart...if you see this dishwasher for sale please just run away as fast as you can!

Soon after we bought this model on 7/28/09, we had to replace the circuit board as a result of what the repairman said was a design flaw, whereby using the self-cleaning mode will burn the circuit boards out if you use them more than once a year. Now, our oven will not heat. The oven indicator says both elements are on, but they are only warm to the touch. I cant get a repair manual or an answer from LG as to how to fix it or if there is a recall on the product itself. Are we stuck with this bogus product?

LG counter defpth fridge LRFD21855ST: I have had my fridge since 2007. In the last 3 years, I have had an appliance repairman come out no less than 6 times to repair the water lines to the water dispenser/ice maker. This last time, it worked for 2 months so I have to call again. I trust my repairman (who hates LG btw). The cheap plastic parts they put in just keep breaking. It is a great investment to me and others. It is a really good fridge. If I need to improve it I would improve the space. I dislike the spacing. It could use more. Than that I actually has.

We have a WM2301HS bought in Sept 2010 and after a few months, we noticed that the are grease-like stains on some of the clothes, but not all the time. It is a pain to get those stains out. Some comments suggested the contents of the laundry are to blame, but judging from the complaints, we are not alone. Did anyone get this solved? All in all, this machine works great (and looks good). The only service call (yes, life was not good) we had at the beginning was to put a missing clamp on the bottom drain of the gasket (how could they miss that in assembly?).

Purchased product for new home in early 2015. Two and a half years later, (before the fourth of July holiday), it died. Stopped cooling. Waited for several days, since repairman came to our area once a week. But that was just the service call. After close to $1,000.00 in labor, service call and tax, one week later the repairs were made. Refrigerator worked until lo and behold two years later almost to the day, the same issues occurred. JUNE 13, 2019 to be exact. This was a Wednesday and of course the day service is available in our area is Tuesday, we waited a week for the service call and a second week for repair. Compressor and several other parts replaced again. As the repairman was getting ready to leave, the fridge DIED. He stated he knew something was really wrong with our unit and claimed it unrepairable.Enter LG. No you need to replace the heat exchanger. It is now over two weeks since this repair and still no fix for refrigerator and it is Wednesday so you can bet no resolution until AT LEAST next Tuesday if at all. Mind you we are under warranty for parts and labor which we should have been two years ago also. We will never and will advertise to all the new builds on our community website to stay away from LG Refrigerators. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with LG service and no help whatsoever. I would never buy any product from LG (FH4B8QDA1) again. I bought a washing machine that within 6 months was marking my laundry with black streaks. I phoned LG who sent their local engineer. The man who came out said he had never seen such a clean washing machine (I used Calgon as per LGs care instruction in the booklet). He took some photos and said they would be in touch... but he thought the door seal would need replacing even though there was no marks on it at all! I never heard back from them. So I phoned LG again. LG said after the engineer had looked at the machine and made a report. It was because I was using Calgon to clean the machine and non bio laundry liquid. I wasnt entitled to another opinion as I had, had an engineer come out to me! The only thing I could do was to get an independent report on the machine. So I went back to the shop where I bought it and they knew someone who did reports. I had an independent report done on the machine and it was proven by two people and photos that there was grease in the bearings that was getting into the machine. After LG had the report it again took a very long time for any response and a lot of phone calls on my part. They accepted the machine was faulty and were going to replace it. I asked for compensation for all clothes and bedding that had been ruined and I had, had to replace. Suddenly there was nothing wrong with my machine and it was the fact that I used non bio!!! The shop I bought it at ended up replacing it for me. I would never recommend LG to anyone and their customer service is appalling. So much, that I havent even registered this new machine as obviously a guarantee doesnt mean anything anyway!!!

The safety issues with this range are of great concern and the lack of response and support from LG on their product, which obviously has a manufacturers defect, is alarming. It has gray lettering on a black background. I called LG to see if there was a backlight that wasnt working, and was told that there is no backlight. We purchased a $3,000 LG refrigerator September 5, 2015. On February 17th it stopped working. Did not cool. We called our home warranty company, after two visits it was determined it had to be repaired by a certified LG technician. In speaking with LG to set that up, there is only one certified technician in the area. Called them twice to set up an appointment, they never returned the call. In addition, the compressor and all the moving parts are covered by a 7 or 10 year warranty depending on what it is. LG tried to sell me another one-year warranty for $475.00. Searched the reviews on the fridge we have, all of them stated problems with service (i.e., taking off of work to meet the repairman multiple times) only to have the fridge do the same thing within a six month period.Long story short - we went and bought a Whirlpool (made in the USA). BUYER BEWARE, stay away from LG. It does not stand for Life is Good - it stands for Lotsa Grief! I will never buy an LG product of any type - their customer service is beyond awful, their products are not top quality even though you pay a wheelbarrow full of money for them. Before we bought another fridge we called a repairman that we used before for another appliance and asked him what to stay away from - he said LG, Samsung and GE. I have the LG model WM2140CW washer and dryer for about 2 years. I have cleaned the gasket, inside of the tub, and door on the washing machine as directed by the manufacturer and run bleach through the tub clean cycle and still cannot get rid of the moldy smell. When cleaning the gasket, I noticed mold and mildew on the gasket and have cleaned them with modified bleach and even used Q-tips to remove the mold, it just comes back. Even after you wipe the gaskets off after each wash, you cannot get all of the mold out of the gaskets and this transfers to your clothes, sometimes needing to be rewashed 2 or 3 times. I keep the door open for ventilation but there is no way for the gasket area to stay completely dry. The smell is so bad at times you have to close the laundry room door to keep it from reeking into the rest of the house. I am calling for service this week but I know what they are going to tell me which is exactly what I have been doing. I would not recommend this LG set to anyone. I plan on going back to a top loading washer just to get the smell out of my house and clothes. As far as the dryer, I have to run it 2 to 3 times just to get clothes dry. Avoid LG at all costs.

I spoke to LG many times during the 3 months I was without a refrigerator and asked that they replace the unit or give me a buyout with no response. An Appliance repair company e-mailed them after speaking to a person in the executive services and asked that they contact me regarding a replacement or buyout, but, of course, they never did.Original review: Do not purchase! I spent 3 agonizing months trying to get the compressor replaced. Every time a technician came they said it wasnt the compressor and changed the fan, door magnet, and adjusted the sensitivity in the door light. Finally I had to call another appliance repair company due to the fact that their warranty company is horrible. Then, it took many weeks to get LG to authorize them to do the work. Finally, the technician began to install the compressor that LG sent 3 months prior. LG had sent the wrong compressor for this model. When the correct compressor was installed, it didnt fix the problem. After many calls to LG, they would not replace the refrigerator, nor give me a buyback. My 18 month old refrigerator is now in the dump and I am very happy with my new GE.

This is the second microwave of this model. The first one worked fine for a year - until a few days after the warranty ran out. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to have it repaired, so we bought a new one because it matched the rest of our LG appliances. This one lasted less than 3 months. Home Depot requires 3 repair attempts before they wil take it back (even though we have the extended service plan on this one), so we got in touch with LG again. The same repair man came out and took it apart and put it back together again, saying he couldnt find what the problem was. It worked after that - for 1 day. When I called the repair company again, the tech said he would contact LG for us and get it taken care of. He did contact them, but we have only heard from them once to request more paperwork. Still waiting for the follow-up call a week later to get a refund. I will never buy another LG microwave. Very disappointed in their customer service.

I purchased the LG washer a year ago. I have been dissatisfied since day one. Tried every cycle, but the clothes are all tangled up at the end of every cycle. You try to take the clothes apart and end up with a left arm of a shirt twice the length of the other. Its awful, the clothes come out all stretched out from trying to pull them apart. I loved my old FRONT load washer. All clothes were washed properly. With this top load, not all clothes get a good wash. Never again top load. No use calling LG. They will tell me: Too bad sucker. We got you for 2K.

There are two ovens and neither of them is large enough to bake a tube cake or roast a good-sized turkey. To access the lower oven is a chore, especially when the cook is bearing a heavy casserole.

I have had my LG Side by Side fridge for 8 years. I paid $2,400 dollars for it on sale. Since that time have replaced 3 motors and the drawer pull mechanism. Right now I use packing tape and 12 can packs of Coke to keep the freezer drawer closed. Still there is water dripping in my top side by side portion. Makes no sense because the freezer is below. I have stopped even trying to use the ice maker. No water connected. Never again will I buy this brand. Total lack of concern for customer experiences or seemingly providing a quality product. I will shout to anyone who listens RUN FROM LG!!

We bought a brand new LG refrigerator and after only a few months the compressor went out. Called LG and they sent out a service man to repair. That was on July 2. It is now July 18 and after two attempts, refrigerator is still broken. Has been has been on the phone with LG for two days trying to get a repair man out to fix it. Telling us it will be July 30 before we can get someone out here. We have now gone two weeks without a refrigerator and they want us to go in entire month! It is unacceptable that I would pay this much money for an appliance only to have it break down and then not be repaired for a month. Having to live with ice coolers stacked in my kitchen. Lost everything in my refrigerator and in my freezer. This is one unhappy customer.
