I purchased a side by side Lg refrigerator in 2018 from Home Depot. I also purchased an extended warranty for this product through Home Depot. The extended warranty company is Asurion. After 2 years and 1 month my fridge died. It would not cool. This happened on a Sunday. So I called Lg that day to find out they were closed. Then called my extended warranty dept. My first called I was put on hold for 39 minutes...only to be disconnected. My second call, after another 40 minutes, I spoke to Dwayne ** who gave me a claim number and said a service person would arrive that day between 8-4. No one showed up. That night I called Asurion again. This time I spoke with Natasha, who gave me another claim number and said a serviceman would arrive on Monday. No one showed. I then called Lg directly who told me it would 5-7 days to get a service repair date.. I then lost it...They said they have no one in my area who accepts their coverage. So now Im without a fridge, lost all my food and no repair date. This is the worst company. Do not buy their products. You will be wasting your money like I did. LG representative are location in the Philippines. They could care less about you and I... the consumer. We are thoroughly disgusted with the warranty, the product and lg. Beware...lg is not US friendly. If they were I would not have to wait over a week just to get a repair person to come and look. Wonder how long it will take to repair. And they do not provide a refrigerator to use in the meantime. You are on your own. Try another company!!!!

I purchased the Model#WT4870C*W LG White Top Load Washing Machine 12/20/13, purchase price $599. And because my husband and I traveled for 18 months this machine got less than average use. This is the worst machine I have ever owned, reasons are as follows, does not clean clothes, the clothes come out dirtier than when they went in and yes I wash my tub with tub cleaner very often. Does not use enough water to cover the clothes and even when I use extra rinse. Clothes come out with soap and dog hair all over them. The top of the tub on the rim stays filthy. I get cleaner clothes from old laundromat machines. Sometimes clothes come out still dry in spots. How can this be. I believe LG should return everyones money and get out of the business. Same goes for their TVs. I will go back to agitator style from Maytag if I can find one. Very disgusted with this purchase, a waste of my money, I will never buy LG, again...

Like many of the other reviews I have issues with constant unbalanced load errors even when the washer is a 1/3 full. Have never successfully completed a bedding wash cycle. Takes 3.5 hours per load. Bought a LG glass top range previously and also had a bad experience. Should have known better than to buy an LG product again. My bad.

LG Washing Machine Product WT1101CW: 1st-DO NOT BUY ANY LG!!! THEY ARE LEMONS!!! We purchased an LG Washing Machine and Dryer from Best Buy on 11/16/2012. I am writing this review on 9/28/16. I have had to have a repairman out twice and the long and short of it is the transmission & electric board went at the tune of $533.00 for parts and labor. Um I paid $629 for the machine new. I called LG several times. The 1st few times they said there was nothing they could do. Wrong answer! So I called a 3rd time & they offered me an extended warranty on parts and labor for 1 year for that repair for $385.00. So they would charge me more than half of what I paid for it??? No thanks. There is no telling what else will go wrong with it. Its a ripoff when you pay over $600 for a washing machine and it doesnt even LAST 4 YEARS. I read numerous complaints about LG like mine and worse. If we quit buying these lemons they will either have to make a better product or go out of business. Gotta go time to get on Consumer Reports and fork more $$ for a new one. Lets just hope it will last at least 5 years.

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer. The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.

I purchased my LG front load steam washer, model WM2501HWA, in April of 2010. It worked fine until May 2014 when it just stopped mid-spin cycle. It totally lost all power. I checked the obvious, tripped breaker switch, plugs, and all was fine. So I called a repair company that was recommended to me by a friend. They diagnosed the problem as a bad power board. It was also recommended that I replace the noise filter at the same time. Parts and labor would be over $300 not including diagnostic fee. After waiting a month for the parts, they installed them and it worked. After about 6 loads it died again! Ive been waiting for the new parts and its been over a month! I asked the repair company if they could just refund my money so I could just get a new one and they said they wanted to install the new parts first. They have yet to receive my parts and I am spending $25 a week at the laundromat. The first mistake I made was buying an LG washer and dryer. My second mistake was calling a bad repair company. I am currently out $300 and have no working washer. I am so mad!! Dont buy LG!!!

When we had bought lg double doors refrigerator around 2 years back we were given 10 years warranty for compressor. Now when we complained about compressor saying that it is making lots of noise and therefore technician visit is required to see what is the problem. LG customer care representative said visit will be charged and I would need to pay 500 + ST. If I am paying now then what is the meaning of 10 years warranty. I feel cheated. Please be careful while buying lg products as they seem to be making false promises.

I had my LG microwave for three years or so and my wife was cleaning it gently with Windex (to get the grease off of it since it was also a range hood), when it stopped working completely. Be aware, LG and other uncool companies are making products that cannot be cleaned. Its sort of like buying a car that cant be waxed. It pretty much makes you never want to give their lousy company a dime again. I then bought a touch strip from an appliance repair site for cheap and repaired it myself. We now keep it in the garage (its huge!), but at least we didnt lose the whole $1000 investment. There are videos on YouTube that will help you do that. However, my main point is that you should never buy LG products. I know I never will again. I wont even buy parts from them. Thats what they want you to do!

We bought an LG French Door Refrigerator that quit working in the first 2 weeks. The ice maker wouldn’t make any ice. When we called, we also got the service tech would be right over, which he never showed. So my husband took it upon himself to try and find the source of the problem. When he called LG, they then said that because my husband worked on it, he voided the warranty! So now, we have a fridge that doesn’t make ice and nothing we can do about it! We hate LG! Never buy a fridge from them!

LG company did not honor any recall for the control panel that was suppose to be under a recall because it was two years old. The LG representatives worked very hard to guarantee that I would not be getting any help either by getting them to repair the oven, send me the part, or provide me with technical support. There are not many parts that can go wrong but expensive if you guess wrong. The recall item was the control panel (board) but there are two in question. One for $60.00 the other for $170.00.

Woke Saturday morning to find water on floor (from ice melting in door dispenser), warm fridge and everything melted in freezer. Big mess! Called LG. After playing 20 questions with them, they determined the compressor was bad. Would send replacement parts directly to house in 2-3 days. But the earliest a tech could come out to make the replacement is 2 weeks! Who goes without a fridge for 2 weeks? Not only did we lose all our food, I lost $5000.00 in Humera injection pens that are supposed to be stored in fridge and kept cool. Sure LG will supply their faulty compressor with a new one, (dont know if I have to pay for labor yet) but who pays for all the lost food, loss of expensive medicine, all the mess and all the inconvenience and stress of not having a fridge for 2 weeks? How are not Attorneys General not following up on all these LG customer complaints about faulty compressors? It is NOT RIGHT! We paid a lot of money for this LG fridge. Our previous one, a KitchenAid, was working fine when we replaced it with this fancy new LG fridge. The KitchenAid is still working fine at my sons home in his kitchen. How can Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowes still be selling these terrible products?

So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

I dont ever review and this is very uncharacteristic of me but I feel I have to share LGs terrible customer service. We spent over $7k on a whole new set of appliances that were all LG. We cant use our cooktop or the fridge and we bought the top of their line. We are currently over 5 hours on the phone, over a month and half without the use of our appliances, one LG service tech that never showed, never called, and no explanation, and STILL waiting to get our brand new appliances fixed so we can use them. They wont replace them and say they cant find a service tech (other than the no show Froggys from Arnold Mo) in our area to fix them even though they are brand new. So, DO NOT BUY LG AND DONT USE FROGGYS FROM ARNOLD MO.

Buyer beware. We moved into our new house and discovered the existing french door LG was not cooling. (I see other reviews here mentioning the same cooling issue) It is three years old and no longer cooling. Trying to get this under-warranty refrigerator serviced has been a nightmare. Only registered techs can repair it if you can find someone in your area. It has been two months, three service people and two plus hours on the phone with LG and I have yet to have a service person even begin to work on it. If the next service person who comes (tech number 4 in 3 weeks) tells me that it really isnt this its really that and of course they dont have the part or the order was not written correctly or they just dont show up because they resigned and didnt tell anyone, I will pull my hair out. I advise anyone who is considering this refrigerator to find something else and save yourself the frustration (They should have minus stars on here).

Keeps even temperature, easy to clean, very spacious. I liked the finish on it. Looked well with other appliances that I already owned in my kitchen. It had a nice price point to it, and I had an LG phone that I liked once that made me find the brand to be trustworthy. It absolutely has met my expectations, also I would recommend it, am surprised to have seen an LG fridge as I wouldnt of associated the brand with major kitchen appliances offhand. But more configuration options with the inner shelving. Perhaps offering even more choices in finishes than standard like fashion colors or a retro shape to it like a fifties kitchenette design.

LG High Efficiency Front load Dryer - I read through the complaints and have the same problem as many others. The only difference is my issue didnt happen right away. Ive had it a few years and recently it started making loud noises. I do OK with simple home repair so I opened the unit and found that the barrel was warped from a huge crack in the back seam that I couldnt see from the inside. Also over the agitators inside machine will start to develop a gap inside the barrel causing cloths to get stuck and twisted up ruining them. They also will trap change and other small items inside the agitators then make that noise as well. Why we cant have the old american made products again? Miss that.

On June 28, 2020 I noticed my fridge was not keeping things cold. I called a refrigerator repair company and it turns out my compressor went bad. I have only had the fridge for 5 yrs and 3 months. I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Its not like I asked for a new fridge, I just want them to pay for a problem they know they have. This will be the last time I purchase a LG product!

LFX25991ST- 4th time for repair, DO NOT BUY LG: We bought this fridge in 2013. Right before the warranty was up the compressor broke. That was covered by the warranty even though we lost the $200 worth of food. A couple of months later, the fridge breaks again. The tech comes through days later. Food is spoiled. Lose $150. By this time I am using their extended warranty. The extended warranty has the worst service ever. It is an outsourced service where they read off a script and punch in numbers and information into a computer. They CANNOT help you in any way except waste your time.A couple months ago, same problem. Tech comes out and fixes it. It breaks days later and comes out three days later even though we bought food again. We have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. Now, it has broken again! Same problem, not cooling, ice melting, and waiting for tech who will come in two days. Food will spoil again. Do not buy LG. Worst service and even worst product. I will buy Kenmore and call it a day. This has been a recurring nightmare. DO NOT BUY no matter what the deal is. Not worth it!

I purchased it in January 2011 at Home Depot. As of this week in June 2013, the refrigerator runs non-stop and the freezer frosts over. The refrigerator part does not keep food cold, only cool. LG customer service was like talking to a wall. I also bought a washer: a full tub without an agitator and water saver. The tub never fills up enough to cover the clothing I end up pouring buckets of water in the tub to fill over the clothing. The agitation is so slight that stains and dirt are rarely removed. LG French Door Refrigerator/Freezer- This is the absolute worst appliance Ive ever owned, and Ive owned a bunch. 1st year of ownership computer board failed. Over next 8 years 3 fans went bad - out of warranty of course. Plastic door edge strips both had to be replaced - 5-7 yrs as the doors wouldnt close completely. Ice-maker was a real piece of junk - always jammed up and never produced a decent quantity of ice. Finally compressor went completely at year 12. Average life of unit is rated at 13 years - almost made it! Also learned that few techs will work on LG or Samsung because these units are not designed to produce error codes for diagnosis of problems. Also keep in mind, LG was formerly Goldstar, a very poor quality South Korean electronics company that was rebranded to LG because of their terrible quality and reputation. Run away quickly - you have been warned.

This is our first time purchase LG. We bought this LG washing machine from Home Depot 2 months ago. It havent worked right until now. All the machine have is hot water came out even I choose to use cool wash. I called Home Depot 4 times; they pick and transfer my call at least twice per time. They got my number and promise to solve but never call back. I keep follow up but all I got is to call LG myself. LG WARNED me they are going to charge me service fee if I didnt got their number from Home Depot. The same day, I have to go in to Home Depot store and ask for LGs number. I called LG back, the same guy picked up my phone call (same voice, same accent), he got all the information: the model type, if I still have my receipt, if I still have my warranty, and told me IT MIGHT BECAUSE THEIR INSTALLATION PERSON PLUGGED THE COLD AND HOT WATER OPPOSITE WAY AND TOLD ME TO FIX IT MYSELF! Can you all believe that? I have never done things like this. What if I break it? Will they reject to fix it for free because the machine broke by human factor? What if I changed it and its still not working right? I reject their suggest; they leave me a number and told me to contact with service MYSELF, again! When I require to speak to a manager, they refuse my request a euphemistic way which is I dont need a manager because he can help me! I really feel like neither Home Depot and LG want to help me with it at all. They push their responsibility away. If they cant push them away then they will set up a lot trouble. They just sell me their product and treat me like a nut. I have my schedule; I have my job. I had enough. I will never by their product again.

My french door refrigerator Model #LMXS30776S was purchased in May 2015 and in July it started to make a terrible noise and I called LG and they said most likely there was ice on the fan. A few weeks later it started turning off and I would have to restart it. I called LG and they said I needed to get a technician to look into it. I had someone come out who said I needed new sensors and a new evaporator cover and it would take 3 days to get the parts in. 4 days later I called and they told me the parts are not available and I had to call LG directly to get the parts.I called LG. They quickly set me up with a $300 extended warranty repair plan and set up a technician to come out. This guy also said I needed new sensors and fans. One week later, they could not get the parts and said they were not available. The warranty company refunded my money minus $100, saying that parts were not available. Based on CA Civil Code Section 1793.03, parts must be made available within 7 years of any major appliance. I just spoke to a supervisor in the corporate office who after 30 minutes on hold said that the parts are available and she is transferring me back to the warranty repair company to get set back up on the plan. LG has been incredibly awful with this entire situation and I have heard from their own technicians that they rarely honor a warranty even within the first year and said to never purchase an LG appliance. I agree.

We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. I called LG and the customer service (800 243 0000) and was scheduled for a service call the following morning. Based on the description of the problem the customer service rep advised there would be no charge for the service call or repair. (She didnt advise why, I didnt ask because I was thrilled after reading the other horror stories on this site.) The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. My LG Washer is only 3 1/2 years old. At the spin cycle, it makes very, very loud noise. The repairman spent 2 full days repairing it and replacing the spyder drive, 2 bearings and a bearing seal. He said that we used too much soap????? We paid 1/2 as much as it cost new!!! I will NEVER buy another LG washer again and hope that no one else will ever also!!!

This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a warning to prospective customers. I have owned my LG washer for about three years now. It has True Balance, a feature that consumes water in an attempt to balance the load. The washer is absolutely level. However it rarely completes a load because True Balance is unable to get the load balanced enough to get through the spin cycle. So I have to turn the water off. Balance it by hand. Then maybe it will get through the cycle. Often the items are too soaked to put in the 30-year old Kenmore dryer. So I have to hang them.My water bill has increased 25% since getting the washer. Have complained to LG. Initially they told me to level the washer. Now they just ignore me. Apparently because I (a person who has tested at a mechanical level in the upper 2% of the population) am unable to level a washer. I was however able to rebuild the Kenmore Dryer twice to keep that running. Thats not a recommendation of Kenmore because Kenmore isnt Kenmore anymore.

We bought a brand new refrigerator from LG in 2013. No issues for 5 years.
We bought a brand new refrigerator from LG in 2013. No issues for 5 years. Around October 2018, the refrigerator stopped working and the refrigerator leaked water and damaged our floors. We called LG for repair and they said that the compressor is under warranty and we will need to only pay labor, which was around 350. So on October 31, 2018 the compressor was repaired and full service was done my a LG technician. The refrigerator again stopped working on Feb 23, 2019 with a compressor issue. LG gives a 90 day warranty on repairs. So I contacted LG and requested if they can waive any fees related to this repair as I was just 20 days over the 90 day warranty. I got a rude response from LG after multiple attempts to follow up. They essentially said: RULES ARE IMPORTANT THAN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was shocked. It was bad enough that a replacement compressor broke and on top of this I had to face this from them. Anyways I got a licensed LG technician to come out and take a look at it.The scheduling of tech visit is another story. 2 different people called me from LG, one saying the tech will arrive on Friday evening and the other saying Saturday morning. The tech himself called and he said Friday evening. I didn’t know who to believe. Finally the guy showed up on a Friday. He looked at fridge, said it’s a bad compressor and said there is a lot of dust, so he cannot repair the fridge. Now am I supposed to open the back of the fridge and clean the compressor? Apparently that’s what this tech expected. He said clean it and then call me. I will not touch it unless someone cleans it.Please note that the same fridge was repaired by another LG tech some 100 days back. After this experience I said I had enough. I just got a used GE fridge. Some 12 days after, LG called to inquire the status. I told them I took their product to a dump, they said OK and were happy that they did not have to fix it. They didn’t even think once to apologize for this or give any compensation for the 2 times I lost weeks of grocery in a full refrigerator. LG sucks !! If you buy LG, life’s gone!!!

The refrigerator was ordered at Home Depot. I was contacted by LG directly that the product was on backorder and that they would not meet the delivery time frame. Two weeks later they called again to state that the specific refrigerator that I ordered was not available and discontinued. The offered a different refrigerator that did not meet the size specifications that were most important to me. When I stated the three specs that were mandatory to me - they basically said - This is what we can offer and thats it. They did not offer any other options. POOR customer service and even though they upgraded with one option that I did NOT want (wi-fi) the size is smaller, the product is disappointing. The refrigerator will either freeze produce or it turns to rubber. It does not maintain the quality of refrigerated products. I will not order another LG product as a result. The filter also only lasts 4 months - before having to be replaced. Freezer items get frostburn and ruins the quality of the product.

We did a complete kitchen makeover and chose top end appliances, or at least so we thought! The LG refrigerator is the absolute worst appliance we have ever bought. From day one there were issues and LGs customer service is non existent! Has never made ice on a regular basis, now doesnt make ice at all. The plastic drawers are all broke and duct taped so that we can still use them. Most importantly the lighting has not worked correctly since the day we first plugged it in. Some times they work, most times they dont. At one point we smelled smoke and opened the frig to find the plastic cover on the top mounted lights had completely melted off. Luckily our home did not burn! At this time our top end LG refrigerator does not make ice, has no lighting (we use a flash light to find what we need), the bottom freezer works when it wants to and our drawers are all duct taped so that we can use them. WARNING: THE LIGHTING ISSUE COULD COST YOU YOUR HOME! DO NOT BUY A LG REFRIGERATOR!!!!

Shortly after having purchased my stove at a price tag of $1500.00, the control panel went. I replaced it on my dime. The oven emits heat so intense the paint is discolored and peeling near the vent from the oven. The other day I turned the oven on to preheat and went into another room when I heard a horrid noise from the kitchen. I returned to see smoke pouring from the oven and the breaker on my electric panel had popped (fortunately). All lights were flashing and I have not been able to contact LG service lines to report this and inquire into what on earth happened. I will never buy LG again as there are no service people in our city who will touch it. The one company who will service this product put the control panel in upside down when I replaced it and I had to have them make another house call to fix the mess. They are supposed to be trained LG service people. YEAH! I am still sitting here without a stove because I cannot connect with LG. They do not put you on hold, but via a recording tell you they are all busy and to call back. Click! GOODBYE LG...

I bought the LG Front Loader 4 years ago at Home Depot and it has ruined comforters, sheets and clothes with greasy black stains which dont come out, especially if you dont notice them and put the item in the dryer. If you catch them and rewash with bleach, they become light brown stains, but dont go away. It doesnt happen all the time, but often enough to completely frustrate us. We always use the detergents, no softeners and some liquid bleach. We run the tub clean cycle once a month and wipe out the nasty black gunk from the gasket regularly. I cant imagine that gunk is normal. I have owned many washing machines and none has ever left my laundry ruined like this.

This washer has many bad issues. I purchased it 1 year ago. Most annoying is the soap dispenser rarely works. Sometimes it doesnt dispense other times it dispenses only a little and lately only when the cycles done and I open the door it dispenses. The drying cycle never ever has dried the dishes. Water puddles on top of glassware and bowls constantly. I always have to dry the dishes. The adjustable racks are most annoying, as they dont stay where you adjust them and I spend too much time bent down adjusting them as they collapse again. The filter that you have to remove and clean all the time is a pain. This overprice dishwasher was the biggest mistake. It has turned me sour on LG appliances as I purchased a LG fridge at the same time, which is a whole other complaint. Stay away from LG!

I was very excited and purchased all brand new LG appliances in late 2016 after purchasing a new home. The dishwasher has 3 racks and after 4 months the top brackets are supposed to be adjustable and do not stay upright. They are supposed to clip into brackets and have come apart. In addition, there are 6 spots on the upper and lower rack that have been burned and are completely falling apart. This was a very high end dishwasher and will not buy another LG. My brand new stainless French door refrigerator with 2 freezer drawers is also a disappointment. The side areas have broken apart and I have taped them together. Very poor design as it only holds very few items that are tall like milk gallons.

Okay as I was cleaning out the drawers, shelves and inside of my refrigerator for the third time. I purchased it from HHGregg on 11/30/2015. I decided I needed to let others know about this refrigerator so they wouldnt have to go through the same thing. Thankfully I purchased the extended service plan. We replaced the main board on July of 2018 and then the compressor went out on 1/14/2019. I am currently cleaning out the refrigerator again a year later because it quit cooling once again. Luckily, we have another refrigerator in our basement we can transfer all the food to. We have had that refrigerator for over 18 years and have never had a problem. It is a Whirlpool. We have a company coming out on Monday, two weeks from when I put in the order to fix it again. I do not recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

They said that they could provide me with a list of authorized LG repairmen and I could use them for warranty work. They confirmed that my fridge was under warranty when I provided the serial number. I was emailed a list and when I called the first company on the list they told me that need an email from LG authorizing the work. I called LG back and was told I had to provide the part numbers to generate the email - obviously I cant answer this question. I convinced them this was impossible and they said they couldnt help because I had no proof of purchase. I told them the previous person had said it was covered and they told me there was no record of my previous call (even though both times I called through the App and provided the serial number and model number). Our LG washing machine exploded and imploded in less than three years. The outside walls of the machine are bent out and the inside components fell to the bottom of the machine. The machine moved 1-2 feet away from the wall and could have hurt our dog and gone through the opposite wall if we were not home. We are on our third case type number to track this situation. The number does not work to upload the sales slip for the third time in their system.Today was my fifth call to LG and I was on hold for 14 minutes to try to resolve the systems issue and have finally given up. LG made us have a service call to have the situation assessed and did not pay for the service. LG was told that there was no way the machine could be fixed and wed sent pictures to prevent the service call. The service person called LG and told them that hes never seen such damage to an LG machine. We are now determining the best approach to resolve this issue particularly with the safety concern. We are also getting rid of LG dryer due to our concerns.

We started to have problems with our brand new LG refrigerator 2 weeks after getting it home. First, it was the ice maker. We were still under warranty, and called to have it fixed. The rep said someone will be out the next day. The next day, the repair person said, I dont know why they would have told you that. I wont be able to come till next week. He came out, and said he fixed the problem and went on his way. Two months later, it was the same problem, repair scheduling and all. This repair man (when he finally came out) said, Oh, your ice maker has been broken since you bought it (wonder why the first guy didnt figure that out). He replaced it and went on his way. The outcome is we have ice but it perpetually gets jammed in the shoot and we always have to manually pull the ice out every time we want ice. Now, three years later, we are no longer under warranty, and are having major issues. The freezer is not working. It wont defrost and ice was building up. I called LG. The rep said $95 over the phone just to tell me what the problem is (I know what the problem is, I want to know how to fix it. I read the book and the error message on the control panel on the door says defrost problems). They will not give me any information without paying for it first. We decided not to deal with them anymore and called our local appliance repairman (nice guy). Yes, our 3-year old refrigerator needed to be taken apart and defrosted. The control panel had gone out and inadvertently kept it from defrosting. The control panel is $300 plus the cost of the house call. According to the repair man, 99% of repair calls on LG refrigerators are the control panel. When will the United States stop allowing poor quality appliance in this country?

Customer service is horrible. Their English needs much to be desired. My unit was slow to make ice and was not dumping so they had me put my phone to the sensor. She told me I needed to change it from crushed to cubed? Say... What? Anyway found it is a early sign of compressor failure. Their first question was Why didnt you get the extended warranty. I guess they have no faith in their product, normally I have no use for those warranties. It seems like, in my case, products are programmed to self-destruct after the warranty expires. I heard some stories but when I purchased it I was told this has a different compressor it and it is not prone to failure. Home Depot lied! The fridge was 18 months old and within 2 weeks of the new compressor I lost refrigerant and I had to call service, they came out right away and repaired it.Now a week later everything was soft in the freezer again, but they cannot come out until Tuesday. It is 40 degrees in my garage, not cold enough to use as a refrigerator. I lost about 300 dollars in food since Thanksgiving. My old fridge lasted 16 years before it died, and I think it was my fault because I put it in the garage, found out later that not every fridge can be put in a cold area. So what happened to quality control in the day and age? If I was on the board of LG I could not look myself in the mirror putting out a product with this kind of problems.

I picked up 2 LG stainless steel above range microwaves that were both used, very attractive looking models, 1 was purchased 1 week before the other from different places and they both have the exact same cracked door. The door cracks on the side by the handle just below the arm that locks in place exits the frame. This has to be happening to every single one made since I got 2 in 2 weeks. For all of those who picked out all brand new LG products for their choice of appliances I have to ask if they would have chosen them if the name was Gold Star? Remember that terrible low quality manufacturer from the 1990s that made complete junk? Well its the same company that changed their name around 2000 to LG! How about that! Did you know this? Of course you didnt or you never would have considered LG for anything especially to be your brand for all your major appliances. Sometimes you need to research companies before you buy them. New names like Samsung, LG, Daewoo, Funia, Symphony, Orion, Oritron, iHome, Emerson, Visio, Trutech, Durabrand, Insignia, etc... All have some background, while some of these brands may make 1 or 2 good items, Funia is 1 of the largest manufacturers of all products made in China (kinda like a Mitsubishi or Sony in their own right) that actually makes products for dozens of companies including Sony and a long list of their own sub-companies plus for their own brand name as well. You would be surprised to know just how many other brands they provide parts for. Yet most would pick a Samsung over Funai any day of the week, just to pay more for something thats probably not even better or maybe even inferior to a Funai brand item.Funai has been around forever like Matsushita, Nakamichi, Sony, Yamaha, Mitsubishi, Matsubara, Akia, Awai, Nippon, JVC, and other Asian companies who have all made good stuff at one time but their parent companies have changed as the names are sold to larger conglomerates who names are never shown on their products. Most recently Samsung bought out the Harmon Group which has been making top notch audio gear for generations. Infinity, JBL, Harmon Kardon, Crown and others will no longer be what they once were, this happened 2 years ago and if you havent noticed yet these companies are not winning any high praise from the groups that once held them as top in their field. This is why its important to know who really makes the stuff you buy. Samsung is a maker of junk, plain and simple. They bought Harmon to try and get their foot in the door on car audio electronics and have really no other interest in continuing making high end audio, they will try to phase them out and apply their own brand name audio which will follow along their same disposable electronics junk they have shown to make in the past. You will see nothing impressive coming from them, all flash and bells and whistles. More plastic molded stuff like theyre used to making and they will market it for those who will fall for it. Looks definitely arent everything when it come to electronics, but many will learn the hard way. As most who bought LG did!

Everything about this stove is fine except for the front burner grids. Some fancy designer who has never cooked on a stove in his life decided that it would LOOK GOOD if the front burner grates curved in to match the shape of the griddle. It leaves a big gap on the outer corner of the stove and I ran into the frying pan handle and the pan and all of its hot bacon grease contents went flying across my kitchen. Issue: The refrigerator (French door LFXS30766S) broke down on 7/4/2018, just couple days after two years warranty. Find out it’s “sealed system” issue and this is still covered by LG for five years. Called LG and reported the issue on 7/6/2018, they have created ticket and mentioned that they will find the technician and assign it. How many days since then? One month now. Technician is yet to come my home and look into issue. In between, I have called so many times to LG, each time their answer is standard, they are still trying to find the technician and escalating the ticket or creates new ticket, which is nothing but their excuse to tell customer to wait for 3-5 business days. I wonder why no technician wants to work with LG, whoever I talked to they either says they are two far away from my destination or they don’t work with LG. I have even asked LG if they can assign work order to “Sears home service” they are reliable and guarantee they will come, but LG says it is not possible for them to assign the work order to Sears. Why? No idea. After so many phone calls and many tickets where are we? Nowhere near the resolution. I wouldn’t recommend LG product anymore. Settlement that I am looking: LG assign reliable tech which I can count on or refund the money.

My LG washer and dryer are pieces of junk. The washer stinks like mold and mildew. It does not get the clothes clean. I have to start the load, let it run about 5 to 10 minutes to get everything wet and soapy then I stop the load to let it soak for an hour. Thats the only thing that helps get the clothes clean or I have to soak them in the sink before washing them in the washer. Its supposed to be a large capacity washer but I have to keep the loads small. Ive pulled out things that dont even feel wet and still smell dirty after running through a cycle. Theres also rust around the place where the soap goes and chunks of rusty metal are starting to fall off into the loads. The dryer almost immediately started messing up. The lint tray had a felt-like edge around the rim thats supposed to stop lint from going outside the tray. That peeled off within a month and it doesnt stop all the lint now. It runs really hot, so if you use the auto settings it will just turn off. I have to use the time buttons to get it to stay on. It cant be run any higher than low or it will cook your clothes. Im sure its a fire hazard. Im saving up money so I can get a new set and it will definitely not be an LG set!

I bought the whole LG kitchen appliances set for my $20000 new remodeled kitchen 11/2018. By 9/2019, 10 months later, my stovetop looked white from decoloration. I called, they send someone and at 10 months, they called it wear and tear, say WHAT?. My last stove last me 12 yrs and still had a perfect black top. Under warranty, they did not change it. So I ended with a brand new kitchen and all discolored new stove. On 03/2020, 16 months from purchased, the double top burner stopped working and now I am going to have to pay for the repair of the burner, either keep my cooktop all whitish or replace it on 18 months $800 new!!!! LG range. I might just have to kicked it to the curb, count my losses, cry a little and buy AMERICAN. Customer services just keep saying I didnt buy the 5 year warranty. Im very disappointed and I see no end to this.

As most of you know, I do not use social media as a living diary to post what I’m feeling, what I’m wearing or what we’re having for dinner tonight. However, today I am going to make an exception and share my story about why you shouldn’t buy an LG refrigerator as I head into week three without one as I continue to work with LG support.Let me start by saying, you can’t make this stuff up. The morning of Monday, May 18th started as any other Monday. I woke up at 5:30, turned on my computer, started my coffee, put the dogs out and reached into the refrigerator to get my cream. Imagine my surprise when I realized my 16 month old refrigerator [LFXS30766S] and freezer were warm. I’ve bulleted a the rest of this story to make it read faster for those of you who care to. • Called LG support, who deduced that it was probably the compressor and issued a service ticket [**] for 5/19 between 8-5 am EDT. [At no time does he mention that they have a known problem with their compressors which is why they have extended their one year parts and labor warranty into a five year warranty.] o I was thrilled to receive a call around lunchtime from the service company [J.O.A. ELECTRONICS] who told me he could come that same afternoon [5/18] to look at the refrigerator. o J.O.A. comes at 3 pm EDT, runs diagnostic, confirms it was the compressor, charges me $50 and starts to leave. I ask him how long it will take the part to come in.o J.O.A. then tells me LG will order compressor and fix the refrigerator that he can’t do it. [Are you freaking kidding me?] • Called LG support back and talked to a new service rep who told me: o J.O.A. Electronics shouldn’t have charged me $50 as my refrigerator was still under warranty and he should order the part so he can come back and fix it. o She then supplies ME with their contact info and tells ME I need to:  Call them and tell them they have to return my check. [as they shouldn’t have charged me] Confirm that they can order the part and fix the refrigerator. [Isn’t this why she’s getting paid?] • So at this point my husband gets home from work and calls J.O.A: o who refuses to return or destroy our check, causing us to call our bank and issue a stop payment [$30].o who also tells Steve that his job was to do a diagnostic, not order the part or fix the refrigerator just do a diagnostic. [seriously, this is who my service ticket from LG went to? What happened to a certified tech or company…] • Called LG support back [for those counting, this is call three on 5/18], and talk to another service rep who: o Listens to my tale. o Puts me on hold to talk to management; and then gets back on the phone to tell me, she can:  schedule an appointment [**] with Jude an LG certified technician, for 5/26 between 8-12 EDT [because Monday, 5/25 was Memorial Day] NOTE: that’s a week without a refrigerator DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND AFTER DOING A MONTH’S WORTH OF FOOD SHOPPING.o After slightly losing my **, let’s be honest folks, for all of those of you who know me, patience is not my strongest strength, I tell her fine and graciously accept the appointment with Jude the Savior for over a week away. We make due for the next week without a refrigerator [shopping daily/borrowing refrigerator space from friends]. Again, you can’t make this ** up. • So, joyous day, 5/26 arrives: o Jude [the long awaited LG certified tech] calls to tell me he’s running late and will be at our house closer to 1:30/2:00. o In the meantime, our address update from my calls a week earlier take effect and our town is updated. [they had the correct street address but the wrong city]o I immediately get a call from Jude, the LG certified tech and savior, who I have waited a week to come fix my refrigerator, who tells me our town isn’t in his territory so he won’t be coming because it’s too far. He cancels my RNN ticket. [We live 15 minutes from the wrong town in the ticket.] • Pissed off [major understatement], I called LG support, tell the service rep I want to speak to a supervisor, get put through to another minion, tell my story, AGAIN, including the J.O.A. mess, tells me he can get us serviced the next day [you see there’s no way we can get same day service because of COVID-19 and such – really, there’s a pandemic in play, this is news to me], 5/27, new ticket issued [**]. [We wait with baited breath to find out who is going to be coming to fix our refrigerator.] o I get a text telling me a service ticket has been issued and I will be contacted once a service center has confirmed.o J.O.A. ELECTRONICS accepts my ticket is confirmed as our service company. [again, you can’t make this ** up] • We call back LG support, express our frustration and concerns about J.O.A. being assigned the ticket and again tell him the story about J.O.A. an the incident that happened back on May 18th. o While we’re on hold, the service rep calls J.O.A. himself. [props Arnell as it was more than Diane did for us on 5/18]  They assure him they can do the job and they will call us to set up an appt.o We wait. [NO CALL. NO APPT SET UP.]• The morning of 5/27, I literally get woken up by a text from LG that says they are still looking for a provider to come as quickly as possible. I will be notified when an appt is confirmed.• I send an email complaint to the office of the president because he wants to be connected to his customers (5/27), outlining our dilemma and the challenge we’ve had getting service for our refrigerator. [Again, it’s only 16 months old]• 5/27, call LG support (again), to be disconnected (again), but this time Service Representative calls me back. We now have a case ticket (vs a repair ticket [CNN vs an RNN]) which will take 3-5 days to be reviewed before hearing back from LG. [AT WHAT POINT IS LIFE GOOD WITH LG because I’ve missed the GOOD LIFE EXPERIENCE!]• 5/29, receive a standard letter from an executive advisor in response to my letter to the president thanking me for my letter, telling me that my case is in review and let her know if there was any immediate needs that she could help me with…SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? IMMEDIATE NEED. HOW ABOUT A REFRIGERATOR THAT WORKS!!!The worst part is we are out hundreds of dollars in food, the returned check fee, a couple of vacation days and I still do not have a working REFRIGERATOR. At this point, I just want my money back so I can buy a refrigerator that works and will work 10 years from now. Again, our compressor didn’t even make it 24 months. So if you’re in need of a refrigerator, do not buy the hype – LIFE IS NOT GOOD WITH LG. Buy a Samsung, GE, Kenmore, or another brand. Life is not Good.

We purchased a top of the line LG refrigerator Model #LFX28978ST from Home Depot on July 4th, 2012. On December 23, 2012, it quit working. It is now January 21, 2013 and I am still without a refrigerator! I called the LG Hotline on December 23rd and was told that they could have their certified repairman out on the 28th of December. He came out and told me we needed a new compressor; he didnt carry this part on his truck so it would have to be ordered. The compressor would take a week to get here. On 1/3/2013, he returned with the compressor, installed it, added Freon to the refrigerator and stayed until he felt the unit started to cool. He told us to wait 24-48 hours. Being a little gun shy about losing all of my food the first time (I had the refrigerator stocked for the holidays), I waited a little longer to go out, purchase more food and sure enough on 1/7/13, the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I called LG and was told that the repairman that had been out before was off for two weeks, and that I needed to call a different authorized repair shop. I did and was told by the person at that repair shop that they did not work on compressors and would not come out. I called LG back again, spoke with a different person and was told that our original repair person could be out on 1/10/2013. He came back out and after trying different things, we were told that the refrigerator could not be fixed and that it would have to be replaced. He gave us a fax number to fax everything to LG, which I did the next morning. I received a call from the repair center the next day and was told by Barbara from LG Repair Center that I would need to email the paperwork to her. I told her that I had faxed everything the day before. She told me that was just a general fax number and to email everything to her at an email address that she would email to me. I tried a few times to email the paperwork to her only to get error messages; the email would not go through. I called Barbara back and she gave me her fax number, so I once again faxed all of the paperwork to her. I received a call from Barbara the next day to tell me that they would have to get a replacement refrigerator from their LG warehouse, and that it would take 7-10 business days before someone would contact me to set up a delivery date. I asked her where their warehouse was located, and she told me TX; I told her that I lived in TX! I asked why so long, and she told me that they have to tell everyone that it will be 7-10 business days for someone to contact me to set up delivery. I have been a month without a refrigerator. I have spent more money on eating out and buying ice this one month than what I spend in a year’s time. Not only does LG not care, they dont care!I will never buy another LG for as long as I live. I wish that I would have seen this blog before I bought this piece of crap. I will tell all of my friends and family about this. I am hoping that they tell all of their friends and family. Also, be aware that LG is making refrigerators for Kenmore - this is from the mouth of the LG repairman!

I purchase an LG french door refrigerator at Home Depot in June 2010. It has been one year and 7 months and now the refrigerator broke. It does not freeze nor cool off. I contacted LG customer care at 1800 243 000. I explained what happened. I asked to have it fixed or changed for a new one. To my surprise, they claimed they couldn’t do anything. I explained that I had purchased insurance and extended warranty. At the time of purchase, LG claimed it is not theirs and they couldn’t do anything to go back to Home Depot. I called Home Depot. They claimed they couldn’t service it yet. I have to wait almost a week before they send a technician, and they don’t replace any parts. With the game they have between Home Depot and LG, I am with no refrigerator and out of $2000.00 and $300.00 worth of market. My question as a consumer is: who is responsible for these damages? I paid almost $2000.00 for the ** refrigerator and it worked fine until their so called warranty expired. And now they don’t want to be responsible for their bad equipment. I am upset at the fact that the consumers affairs and the better business bureau would allow these companies to sell such expensive appliances which are good only until their warranty expires. I hate the way LG just bluntly told me it is not their problem and there is nothing they can do. How dare they rip off the public like that! A good refrigerator should last at least a good 10 years especially for the prices they are being sold to the public. I paid the price they ask for. How dare they rip off the consumer in such way! And there is the game they play. LG tells me to call Home Depot and Home Depot tells me to call LG. Neither one wants to be responsible for the defected refrigerator they sold me. What am I supposed to do? Get another refrigerator because these two irresponsible companies would not take responsibility and stand behind their damaged goods? I am waiting for your response. Thank you.

My LG LRE30755ST was taking forever to reach 350 and even then, when the digital panel reads 350, the actual temp inside was only 300. We accessed LGs website to maybe view an exploded diagram or to order parts, just something useful, but they only offered the lousy owners manual (which we already have). They said wed have to submit a repair service request and theyd put us in contact with a repair tech, which basically means they dont think we are smart enough to work on their crappy appliances! **! We researched an exploded diagram on AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered the thermometer through them (bless them!). When the location of the thermostat was not obvious, we called LG and simply asked them where the thermostat is located. They said they dont give out that information. I absolutely think LG is making a huge business error by not helping their customers. I dont give a crap when they say its for our safety because thats **! Unplug the stove and dont cut yourself on sharp edges, thats all the safety we need to know! I hate LG! I hate LG! I hate LG!

In 2012 LG issued a recall on a series of ranges due to a major safety issue many consumers experienced with faulty burners. The recall was issued in the first place to have the burners replaced BEFORE there was a fire or injury. However, I just discovered the recall yesterday, and after finding that our stove was subject to it, called LG today to schedule an appointment for repair. What I encountered instead was a stonewalling by the CSRs. I disclosed to them that we had not experienced any issues with the burners, but that as a precaution, we would like to have the repair affected. The CSRs were adamant that unless we had experienced a safety issue, they were not authorized to schedule an appointment. I then insisted that they schedule an appointment anyway, and that I would deal with the tech as to whether the repair was qualified under the recall.I was then finally transferred to another CSR to schedule the appointment. I had to once again go through my reasons for seeking to have the repair done, and since this CSR had internet access, I pointed her to http://www.lgelectricrangerecall.com/faq.php (The first CSR did not have access to this site). At q.3 of the faq, LG itself states that if you have not experienced these problems, you may still use your electric range, but you must still schedule a free in-home repair. Prior to reading this direction on their own website, the CSR was adamant that in order for her to schedule a repair, as a prerequisite, the consumer must be experiencing a problem with the burners. However, after reading it, she then consulted with her manager. After several minutes, the CSR came back on the line to schedule the repair. After I inquired as to what the manager said, she advised that as the direction conflicts with LGs policies, they would be removing the page from the website. I find this to be quite alarming, especially in view of the fact that at least 80 dangerous situations of the burner reaching extremely high temperatures, or not turning off, had been reported and are known to LG, and that over 161,000 ranges had been recalled. As they will be taking the page down soon, if you are interested in following up on this as a possible story, it would be prudent to visit it soon.

LG has the worst customer service. I just got told by one of their supervisors that it isnt her problem. We paid almost 1800.00 for a side by side (model #LFC25765st100) less than 3 years ago and now we have spent $230.37 to have it fixed and it still does not work. After over 3 weeks without a refrigerator to be treated like dirt by their customer service department isnt sitting well with me. They told us we had to use one of their factory authorized repair companies but when I was speaking to the supervisor she told me that was a lie and I could use whoever I wanted with their approval. They lied about 12 times to me in total and will do nothing to fix my refrigerator except charge me another $400.00. I will be spending half of what the refrigerator cost and it is only 3 years old. I thought LG was a good product but I will never buy another and everyone I know will be told to stay away from them.

I loved our LG French Door refrigerator with the indoor ice maker. Some friends of ours even purchased the same model after seeing ours. Earlier this week, the ice maker stopped working. After trying the suggestions in the model, we called for a repair. Within minutes of looking at the ice maker, the technician informed us that we needed a new ice maker. The total cost for the repair--$390! This refrigerator is only a little over 3 years old. For the past 40+ years, we have purchased all but 2 of all major appliances
For the past 40+ years, we have purchased all but 2 of all major appliances from Sears. The single-door Kenmore fridge with freezer on bottom was working well, but no ice and water in door. So, after using it for 5 years, we decided to purchase a new fridge with the missing extras. Sears had a great sale going in Oct. 2007, but single-doors werent available anymore. The LG LFX25950W was very attractive. Within 11 months, the icemaker needed replacing under warranty. It has since died again and were still using the icemaker in the old Kenmore. In 2010, I discovered that there was a recall on the energy star rating that had been posted 4 months after my purchase. I filled out the application on the LG website. Six months went by and a nagging voice in my head reminded me that I hadnt heard anything. I went back online and filled out the application again. This time I was acknowledged and was soon contacted by Allen & Sons. The fix was to replace the motherboard. LG was to send a check to make up for the additional cost of operation for the time we had owned the fridge, plus an annual check for the operation costs. The motherboard was fixed within 2 weeks and the annual check amounts to $3.95. I havent had the nightmare problems of other models, but this one is nowhere close to being of the quality I expected. From the beginning of the recall work, the panel has displayed error code Er IF, which indicated a problem with the freezer fan. When the motherboard was first replaced, the error code went away. When it came back, they came back and the serviceman called LC engineering and it was decided that another motherboard was needed. The funny thing is that if the fridge is unplugged and then plugged back in, the display panel works fine for about 30 seconds and then the error code returns. Luckily, the temps, drawers and lights are all fine, but we have to pay labor for the repairs, so far only $135. If youre in southern California, call Allen & Sons in Canoga Park. They are efficient and travel.

LG Electric Range- LRE30453ST. After using the self-cleaning feature in the oven, I noticed the interior looked as if it had been chipped or scratched. I then found pieces of the enamel on the oven floor. I called LG to complain. They asked me to send them pictures of the oven. After emailing them the pictures, they came back, said that it was out of warranty and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Their conclusion was that the chipping was caused by owner neglect. I was fuming since I did not do anything to cause this. I only used the self-cleaner. I asked to speak to someone in a higher position and was told that they were the highest I could go. I preceded to inform them that I would not take that as an answer. I still have the pieces of enamel that came off. I told them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I knew to report this and they told me, to go ahead.Im stuck with an appliance that I wonder whether it is safe or not. I have a 10-year old stove whose oven looks 100 times better than this one. Unfortunately, I purchased a LG refrigerator and dish washer to match. My refrigerator is 5 years old (LFX28978ST/02). Purchased with every appliance as we were moving into a new home. Already went through one issue shortly after purchasing the fridge with the ice maker. They made it right, but the LG certified technicians had to come back multiple times because they really didnt know what they were doing. Now the latest adventure. Compressor went about a month and a half ago. Turns out the compressor has a 10 year warranty. Great, right? Not so much. Getting this problem resolved has been an absolute nightmare. After doing what they wanted me to (having a repairman come out), I found out labor was not included on the compressor. Fine. I found a very reputable company to inspect and agree to do the repair. Unfortunately, its a half a days work so talking $300-$400 just for labor. Decided to have it fixed rather than buy a new fridge.1st call - said I would have a response in 24 hours. 2nd call - said no, timing to hear something back is 24-48 hours. 3rd call - said no, timing is 3 days. 4th call - said no, timing is 3-5 days. I verified if the 5th day was guaranteed (in this case Friday). 5th call - said no, the day I called didnt count so need to wait until Monday. 6th call - show they called my repairman the day I called. (This would prove to be a trend-lies). 7th call - they called and left a VM to my repairman but left a wrong number to call back. Called back to get the number myself. They didnt have the number. They called my repairman (I dont know why - the customer service rep had no info for us) and he told them the same thing. Put in a request on his computer for service center to call my repairman back. 8th call - said they showed they sent out an e-mail with the info to my repairman (they did not).9th call - my repair man was on vacation so could not confirm anything until he returned. Heard nothing. Supposedly putting in their system to call him again. Nothing. 10th call - immediately asked for a supervisor. Transferred me to someone in the states (Huntsville, AL). She told me the other calls go to the Philippines and that the computer showed someone calling him the day I lodged the complaint (lie). Also told me my previous Confirmation/ID# (or whatever they call it) had been closed. Great! She opened a new number. This was Thursday the 17th. Told me my repairman would hear something in 5 business days and there was no way to expedite because there were so many people in front of me. Thursday should count as day one since I called in the morning. Nothing.11th call - Called back on Friday the 25th. Asked for a supervisor. This time did not get transferred to the states.I assume still the Philippines. Told me the computer showed they called my repair man the day I called the last supervisor. (At this point, I feel like they do this in their system in case they get sued so they can say... Look, we called him. He didnt answer. All lies) Promised someone would call my repair man in 30 minutes and an e-mail would follow. Nothing. 12th call - Called Monday the 28th (today). Again asked for a supervisor. Again, Philippines. Joe promised he would have my issue resolved and would not leave until it was. After missing 41 minutes of work, hung up on me. I guess the moral is, dont buy an LG anything! My stoves electronics are also starting to fail as well. They want you to give in so they dont have to ship a compressor that will probably fail again anyway, but Im not giving up. Back to the phone...

Ive read so many negative reviews about LG refrigerators not working that this seems superfluous but I need to vent. We purchased a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer 3 years ago during a kitchen remodel. It is a counter-depth with water and ice in the door. About 6 weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped cooling. We put a thermometer inside and the temperature was 57 degrees. We contacted our retailer, Abt, who immediately sent out a tech person and determined, with the assistance of LG tech, that the freezer fan wasnt working. The part was ordered, new fan installed, and the refrigerator temperature remained at 57 degrees. We called Abt again, tech came out and again, with the help of the LG tech, determined it was now the refrigerator fan. Part ordered, part replaced, temp still 57. Abt ordered a new control board, at the suggestion of LG tech, part ordered, couldnt be installed because it was the wrong part.We finally contacted LG. After long waits, requests to speak to managers, etc., we were finally referred to their Executive Services. Im guessing that this department handles difficult situations (or difficult people, although I havent been difficult until now, 7 weeks later). LG sent out their tech. Tech announced that the refrigerator was installed improperly because it fit too tightly in the cabinetry. Ok, this is a counter-depth, built-in refrigerator. Huh?So, LG Executive Services was called again. We asked for the installation manual and were directed to the online version. While the Exec. Services person (Tish) was on the phone, we read, aloud and together, the specs which stated the unit needs 1/8 on either side and minimum of 2 from the wall to the back of the refrigerator. The unit was installed properly. Tish insisted that it isnt and made me wait while she chatted with Engineering. Apparently, Engineering stated that there needed to be 1 on top for air flow. I asked Tish how I would have known that since its not published in the installation manual and I want a copy of that. 8 days have gone by and Ive not received anything. When I followed up today with Jenna, she said that, because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the engineers will send the info to the BBB and they will respond to me. REALLY???Between the dates of April 4th and today, April 11th, Ive exchanged 12 emails with Marianne, at Executive Services, to no end. LG tech came out, again, with a 2nd tech at 7:30 PM! After much discussion, they determined it must be the control board or the sealed system. The control board was ordered and installed. Our interior refrigerator temperature is now 61 degrees from 57!! What a joke. So... today I spoke to 3 people at Executive Services: Tamica (totally useless), Willie and Jenna. Jenna seemed to at least want to do something. I shared that our daughter is getting married in 4 days, we are having a 40 person brunch on Easter Sunday, and I have no freaking refrigerator. The latest is... Jenna contacted the Tech Department and they want to put in a datalogger to clarify the issue. I asked what that meant, she didnt know. I asked how long it would be in the fridge, she didnt know. She said she sent an email to the tech engineer, tech manager, and Tech Support manager asking these questions. Do you think the problem with getting anything done has to do with too much weight at the top? Anyway, we have an appointment Thursday so the tech can put in a datalogger, whatever the hell it does.I cant even describe the frustration and anger held towards this company. I would have given them a 1 because, obviously, their products arent meant to last, but some of the folks at Executive Services and our tech have been nice and most seem to want to help. I wouldnt recommend LG products to anyone, ever, unless they want to be totally frustrated and throw money out of the window. Our previous refrigerator lasted 19 years and it was a Whirlpool... no brainer.[Updated on 04/20/2017] Felt my previous review needed updating and lowered my rating from 2* to 1. I still dont have a functioning refrigerator. Jenna, at LG, promised the datalogger, which never happened. After she contacted their tech people, they deemed my refrigerator installed improperly, again, and said sorry, we cant help you. So, after sending out their techs 4 times, replacing the motherboard, ordering the sealed unit, this is their decision? The unit is installed in accordance with the installation manual on line. Their engineers came up with different specs. Coincidentally, their cant fix it edict came on the heels of my response to their response to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Hmmmm... After reading the 1700+ complaints about LG products, the majority being refrigerators, Ive decided to take this further. I am contacting my local news station, newspaper and the Attorney General, if need be. PLEASE... EVERYONE WHO IS OR HAS EXPERIENCED THE LACK OF SERVICE, and refrigeration, from LG, TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. LETS GET THIS CRAPPY COMPANY OUT OF OUR STORES.

So I decided to trade my Maytag washer in for an LG because Maytag kept breaking, 4 times in 4 months but washed clothes amazingly. Anyhow, my 6 week old LG washer sucks. My clothes do NOT come out smelling clean. Why? My washer does not have mold. Not does it stink, my clothes just dont smell fresh. This washer is ruining my stuff with a stink. They smell better dirty. What is wrong? What can I do? I tried doing everything, cleaned everything, changed detergents, everything. Please help.

Great looking refrigerator, horrible reliability. Cooling stopped multiple times. LG tried multiple options - nothing worked. I won’t be buying an LG fridge again, or any kitchen appliance for that matter.

I bought an LG gas stove a year ago and a microwave as well. What a piece of junk the stove is! It does not heat up fast. It takes 20 min to come to 350 and it does not even heat up right. I am always burning food which never happened unless it was my fault. It has 2 temps burnt or raw! I do use it a lot but that is no excuse. The blue interior has a haze on it I cant get rid of, I have tried everything under the sun. If there was a way to get my money back or fixed the interior I would but Google is no help. Now the microwave, it went out 6 months ago I called them it took another 3 months for them to get someone to come out and we live in Northern VA not a rural area then another 3 months to get someone out to fix it. We hardly ever use it (the microwave) and to have the control board go out at 6 months is crazy. I got the extended and its acting up again! I dont think I can ever buy an LG product again. If I had the money I would junk the stove and get something else. But I dont. I somehow doubt LG even cares. Neither one was cheap.

The washer/dryer are quite stylish, work well. The washer is very versatile and can clean small or large loads. There are a myriad of cycles, many I do not use. There are only two adults in the household. The dryer works well and does not over dry the clothes. My only complaint is that the washer takes way too long on the normal cycle. Thus I use the quick cycle on most loads.

After reading the other reviews, I felt compelled to write a response as well. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes and I rinse my dishes before I put them in. The odor has never gone away as well and when I read that someone had done testing and the dishwasher is off-gassing, I was really annoyed. Good luck on the 4 year extended warranty because LG sends someone out to look at the problem. They call tech help and say the problem is not covered under the warranty. Does anyone know how to fight LG on this problem? It seems there are enough of us who are fed up with their products. I also have a LG French Door that has a foul odor as well. I am really disgusted with their products.

Dryer performs as expected and is quiet. The top loader washer with no agitator takes time getting use to because it looks like its broken but appears to be normal. Though it uses less water adding more water seems to work better.

We recently purchased the LG front loading washing machine. After three months it flooded our floor. We spent thousands of dollars in water removal. Upon looking online we saw that many other LG customers had the same problem with this washer. LG customer support was horrid, rude and of no help at all. They could hardly care less about their customers. After being on hold for hours I was told that someone would contact us in 5 business days. We are basically out thousands of dollars and will just recycle the machine as we dont want to sell it and have this happen to someone else. It is essentially unworkable and still under warranty. Go figure... My score on this washer is a -5.

We have used the Easy Clean option on the oven, all it is - is a timer. You spray water in the oven, hit the option, wait 20 minutes, then clean the water up. The LG directions tell you to use 10 oz of water, spray on spot, and wait. Then it is clean. Nothing happens.

Bought higher-end LG Electric stove, in 2014 and in about 3 yrs the heating elements are going bad. As of 2 weeks ago, the front right element is useless. Now the 2 left elements are acting up. If I turn on the back left one, the front left one also turns on, creating a dangerous (unexpected) hot surface issue. In all the years and all the different places I lived in, weve only had lower cost non-LG models, that never failed. This time we paid more and in no time its going to hell. I will never consider LG for any category of products.

I was comparing prices and online reviews and decided to go with LG. They had the best prices for the features I was looking for at the time. LG has met my expectations and I would recommend the fridge to others. I never had to have any repairs or service done on the fridge. The LG refrigerator had a lot of space for the food I needed to keep for a large family and lasted a long time. It also had a nice ice maker and was energy efficient. I only bought a new LG fridge because I was remodeling my kitchen and the fridge no longer matched with the updates. It was reliable and held up to the brands claims. Maybe one thing that the LG company could improve on is warranty length on the product.

I chose to buy it because it was a good price and the correct size and color, and also the LG refrigerator met my initial expectations. The LG refrigerator had basic features. For example, it kept my food very chilly, nice and cold but not too cold. Just right I would say. The only thing I dont like about really any refrigerator is that they dont have a self clean option.

Wish I had read the reviews before setting up my $374 dollar appointment to have someone come fix my leaking LG front load washing machine. I have had it about 4 years... Long time? NO! I had a Kenmore for 10 yrs... Wish I would have bought a new washing machine (different brand)! UGH. Cant cancel now or I will be charged $100... Just set up the appointment 4 hours ago, they coming today. You have to cancel 24 hours in advance! I too have experienced many of the complaints I have read, but never acted on them... A leaking machine will make you act! Disgusted!

I bought the LG Microwave LMV1680ST and the magnetron died. LG has the magnetron warranty for 10 years, but dont be fooled, it has to be replaced by their service people which cost almost the price of the new microwave. They will not ship replacement parts to customer.

I bought a Microwave....LG, counter top....in less than one year it died. Since it was JUST under warranty someone came and fixed it...it was some connection that didnt work. Then you get 90 day warranty on the repair.....Great!. Now its a drop more than 90 days and guess what? It died again. Called LG...they said TOUGH NOUGHIES....very nice, isnt it....so now what....I pay $50.00 service fee plus repairs or throw the microwave out in the street and buy a new one. Not good business. Not a good appliance. I will never buy an LG again unless I receive some satisfaction.
