Bought all Samsung Appliances brand new. Dishwasher is continually throwing tantrums... Error code after error code. Very frustrating after you are spending nearly 2k on the machine! Fridge ice dispenser is not working due to ice blockage and apparently this is the KNOWN issue. All in all terrible brand! DO NOT BUY! Spend a bit more and get a reliable appliances. Wait why more, my fridge was 3.5k. :)

We have an ongoing problem with ice build up under the cooling drawer. We had previously owned a Samsung refrigerator with the same issue, which was due supposedly to a too short heating element at the bottom of the coil. When we purchased our current unit, we were assured that this design problem had been resolved. It has not. I encourage the government to force Samsung to recall these units. We will never purchase another Samsung appliance.

We purchased this product on July 27 2017. Months after we purchased it the ice maker started icing up and water started dripping inside the fridge. When you would hit the ice button you would first get water then ice would drop. The ice would not be totally frozen. Then water would drip out after you were finished. Three different times they have replaced the whole ice maker. On Nov 8 2018 they told our repair man they were going to do an exchange. Then on Nov 29 they had another company come in and fix it (3 time). On Jan 24 it started doing the same thing. When we contacted Samsung they told us it is now our problem. They are not going to fix it again. They totally lied to us about exchanging it. This fridge is nothing but junk and headaches. We ended up going to Sams Club and purchased an ice maker. You spend nearly $3000.00 for a refrigerator and you cant even have it make ice. Buy from a different company. They know they have problems with this refrigerator and they wont stand behind them. We will never have another Samsung in our house. Read other reviews on this. I know others have the same issue. We read them but we thought they had the issues resolved. Boy did we find out the hard way.

Bought 5 new Samsung appliances in February and now the compressor in fridge has failed. Samsung will not replace fridge and I have to pay to have fridge removed from home to shop for repairs and back again. Now realizing that buying Samsung appliances was a huge mistake, never had luck with their DVD players and should have known better. Will stay away from Samsung in future for sure.

February 24, 2016 - Purchased Samsung Microwave OTR Oven ME18H704SF. March 9, 2016 (Approx) Hung on wall and attached Microwave to newly install Kitchen Cabinet. March 15, 2016 - We were using the microwave for the 3rd time when it malfunctioned. The Internal electrical magnetron mechanism behind display overheated and cut a hole on the right side of the cooking box and started a fire. At the time this happened my wife was cooking a package of microwaveable veggies on the turntable. Cooking instructions were to microwave for 5 minutes on High. When there was about 1 minute left in the cycle my wife noticed a small fire on the inside of the unit. She opened the door and put out the fire. I opened the cabinet above the microwave and unplugged the unit from the wall.March 15, 2016 - Sent email to Samsung through their website with my info, Microwave info and the information above and below: We can no longer trust this unit in our home. Please send appropriate individual to pick up unit. Please send check for purchase price of unit in the amount of $263.74 to the following address. (Home). The Unit can also be picked up at the same address.March 18, 2016 4:50 PM. We received voicemail from Samsung-Canada notifying me that a serviceman will be out to fix Microwave on March 23, 2016. March 18, 2016 6:30 PM. I called Samsung-Canada and told them again that we do not want a service call. They should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. [Transferred to 2nd Customer Service individual, Carlton] I told him again that we do not want a service call. Samsung should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. He said he noted that in my report and someone will call me on the weekend or Monday 3/21/2016. March 20, 2016 12:00 PM. Received call from Samsung-Canada [Andre] from Executive Customer Relations Department I told him again that this unit is a Out-of-Box failure. We do not want it repaired. We will no longer have a microwave in our house. Pick up unit and refund purchased price. Andre said a serviceman needs to evaluate unit and determine that if it is repairable or defective. I told him, It started a fire, its defective. March 22, 2016 - Samsung sent a Technician from Local Appliance Service to evaluated. He said it was the magnetron and the unit should be junked. Unit was taken to shop for complete review & evaluation. April 4, 2016 - Called Local Appliance Service to request status on Microwave. Lady said she believed it was finished and that she would call me back. Received call back and set up delivery for Wednesday April 6, 2016. (Samsung decided to repair unit).April 4, 2016 - Received call from Samsung-Los Angeles 310-669-4261, she asked about a schedule change to Saturday. I told her that Local Appliance Service called me with a delivery date and I changed it from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then I told her we would not be using the Microwave Oven and I would search out other avenues for getting rid of this defective product. (She did not like what I was telling her and quickly ended the call.) April 6, 2016 - Local Appliance Service delivered Samsung Microwave with new Magnetron, Controller & Capacitor. Magnetron overheated and turned into an out-of-control Laser Gun packing 3,000-5,000 VDC with each Punch. CONCLUSION OF MY ESSAY: My wife and I never want this unit to be installed into any home. Reason being I know that the replacement parts were the same part numbers as the parts in the original unit and have an excellent chance of repeating history.

Four years ago I purchased a Samsung Counter Depth Refrigerator. Last year the refrigerator quit, the repairman said the entire back was frozen. We surmised it was due to the ice maker being housed in the refrigerator (not the freezer), we defrosted it and I quit using the ice maker and turned it off. We use a countertop ice maker now. But lo and behold, it has done it again. This time I contacted Samsung who referred me to an authorized Repair person who ordered the parts to repair the refrigerator. It’s been a month now and I AM STILL WAITING!!!

At what point does a company read these and take action? Purchased Family Hub French Door 2.5 months ago. Freezer failed, lost everything, missed 4 half days of work dealing with 3rd party service companies who didnt know what was wrong or how to fix it. 14 calls with Samsung service department. 12 emails, in the meantime ice machine failed and now the upper fridge area failing. At $2,499 youd think they would care/value the experience and take action, but were on day 38 and still waiting for a remedy. I stood at Home Depot and personally persuaded 7 customers not to buy this fridge and they listened. Your ** product and service cost me lost wages and time during failed service calls so I figured Im only halfway to the break even point of costing you fridge sales. And I realize nobody in your service department gets paid enough to care, but hopefully someone in your product management and marketing team care enough to read reviews.

I never take time to write a review so please take the following seriously. This is the worst purchase I have made. The ice machine constantly freezes and creates an ice dam making it impossible to operate. The customer service is non-existent. The warranty is worthless. If you value your time and your money look elsewhere, do not be tempted by pricing. Not only would I not purchase another Samsung product, I wouldnt take one if it was given to me for free. I bought a Samsung microwave (next to top of the line) and within a year it would not heat. The store I bought it at graciously replaced it. I added money to it and purchased the top of the line one - again a Samsung. In January the door bracket broke and my husband and I spent a day finding the right bracket on the internet. It was a $10 part and after finding schematics on the internet on how to replace it he was able to replace it. Otherwise it would have been at least a $125 repair call. It will be 2 years in July since we purchased this top of the line Samsung microwave and this one is not working. I detected a burning wire smell this morning in my kitchen and could not figure out where it was coming from till I opened my microwave to heat my tea and the light did not come on and the control panel was not lit. Thats when I realized that the burning wire smell was coming from the microwave. Really? Two Samsung microwaves within 3 years. I have sent Samsung an email asking for some kind of financial reimbursement to purchase another microwave because I will never purchase another Samsung microwave. I doubt that a reimbursement is going to happen. But I will keep all of you in the loop.

Two year old French door Samsung. Purchased warranty. Ice has always been frosty, half crushed, never a normal ice cube. One repairman said it is because the ice is too cold! He said turn it off every night, back on in the morning! One repairman said the year mine was made, they all make terrible ice. Changed filter and it completely flooded the kitchen and down into the freezer. Why should we have to pay over a hundred dollars a year for filters? I never changed a filter in a fridge before. We do not drink the water from the door. Samsung should recall these machines and replace them!!

We bought Samsung fridge on 11 June 2016 (Model No. RT39K5538S9) from BAJAJ ELECTRONICS. Within a week started formation of ice inside the fridge. We kept quiet and it started leaking water in 1st month. We raised compliant (No. **). Customer care people instead of coming to site and rectifying they instructed to do switch off the fridge let the ice melts. We did and one week it is fine. Again started forming ice. Again we raised compliant (No. **). Service engineer came this time and said PCB and Sensor needs to be replaced. Why Samsung is selling damaged products to customers? Without a proper check they are supplying products to the showrooms which is causing problems to consumers. We bought that fridge with 44,000 and suffering a lot. Instead of replacing the product if it is having problem they are repairing the fridge as it is 5 or 10 year old fridge. Disgusting. We informed all our apartment, colleagues and friends, approx. 75 people, not to buy Samsung products and they will not buy for sure.

Beware > The drawers only pull out halfway making it inconvenient to put it
Beware > The drawers only pull out halfway making it inconvenient to put items in them and even more difficult to get items out. For example: a head of cabbage will not fit in a drawer. Beware of scraping your hand when removing items from the half open drawers. Ice maker malfunctions regularly: after dropping ice out of the ice dispenser and releasing the control, the dispenser door does not close fully, allowing warm air to infiltrate the ice storage compartment, thereby allowing ice to melt. The ice mechanism re-freezes the melting ice cubes remaining in the opening and in the storage compartment into a clump, preventing the further operation of the system. All frozen shut. Solution is: 1) empty the entire freezer and defrost for a few hours so the ice compartment can be removed, cleared of remaining water and restarted. 2) A service professional has to take apart the frozen mechanism and repair the defective parts. $$. Never again. P.S. Our Samsung printer/copier was also the worst. After the warranty expired it also malfunctioned requiring professional service. Also poor quality.

The 2 stars are given because they are beautiful BUT we did a complete kitchen remodel in 2018 and nothing is holding up. We spent over $5000 on a SmartHub fridge that wont make ice properly and freezes up every month or so, $400 on a microwave that broke 5 months ago, over $5000 on a double oven that wont hold its temp properly and now we have to pay fo fix the washing machine that we spent almost $2000 on. We spent well over 15,000 to have matching smart appliances that well end up having to replace within the next few years. Nothing has connected properly to the smart hub. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I have a Samsung RF25HMEDBSR/AA side by side refrigerator that is nearly 2 years old, The ice maker has been a pain since 6 months after it was purchased, the thing drips water constantly, is moldy, does not produce enough ice, etc. It is mounted in the refrigerator portion of the unit in the upper left corner. It seems like it does not stay cool enough to keep the ice fully frozen and functioning. I had the ice maker and auger replace under an extended warranty package (I have been forced to purchase the warranty to the tune of 300 plus dollars a year), because Samsung customer support will not address the issue. The ice maker failed again this weekend after functioning properly for about 4 months. Thank goodness the warranty is still in place so it will be covered. Come on Samsung there are a ton of bad reviews on this unit, step up to the plate and make this right for your loyal customers!

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher model number DW7933LRASR in November 2014. Within the first year the circuit board went. When I called the repair company and explained the problem they knew right away to bring the new board as others had same issue. Within a few months of the repair and after the warranty was out the same problem occurred. This time I have to pay to have the company confirm its the same problem - if it is Samsung will pay for the board but I have to pay for the repair (the company is in another town an hour away so probably cheaper to buy a new dishwasher!). I purchased a double oven stove and refrigerator too - no major issues but not 100% happy so would not recommend any Samsung home appliances. The dishwasher is certainly problematic and Samsung does not care about its customers!!!

Within 6 months our ice maker began freezing up, then within a year quit working altogether. Samsung couldnt find anyone in the area to fix it and said they would contact us when they did. Never heard back. Within 18 months it started making horrible noises. Found out frost was building up in the back and we would have to defrost, otherwise the fan would burn out. So every six months we did defrosting of our frost free fridge. Now 6 years in it has died and the repair shops said it wasnt worth fixing. I bought a Samsung Refrigerator with cold water dispenser, ice maker & deli tray drawer (Model # RF 267ABRS) in June 2009. It is 7 years old and, to its credit, it keeps food cold enough (set at 36 degrees) and has never needed a repair - but I wouldnt buy another one.My chief complaint is the darn replacement filters because: (1) they a pain to install (I am not strong enough to apply the necessary torque that is needed to remove & install the filters so my husband has to do that part) and you have to remove one of the shelves which means taking all of the food off and putting it all back, (2) it takes 2 people to change a filter because the new filters must have water run through them for 5 long minutes, so one person stands there holding a hose and funnel up to the water dispenser while the other person holds the other end of the hose over the sink for the water to drain, and (3) the filters are sealed units so you cant clean them yourself and they have to be replaced twice per year at about $50 a pop (although I just found that Amazon has them for about $37). So far we have spent $670 on replacement filters - on top of the $2500 we paid for the fridge. This is nuts. Also, the white plastic trim on the shelves is beginning to get marked up and there doesnt seem to be any way to remove the marks. The stainless steel exterior, the only kind they had in stock when my old fridge died, holds fingerprints and requires continual cleaning. And the ice maker does leak although we found if we remove the ice holding bucket and push the ice toward the rear (away from the door dispenser) before putting it back in, it stops the leaking - until the next time you use ice dispenser. Poor design. In all, this refrigerator requires too much maintenance, too much hassle and considerable ongoing expenses. Ill buy something else next time.

I have made the mistake of purchasing Samsung appliances in the last 2 years. Within the first year, the washing machine broke. After several calls to Samsung, a service technician came to our house to repair the machine. At this time, the technician reported back to Samsung that the washer needed to be replaced. I realized at that point that our situation was looking like the beginning of a nightmare. After several conversations between the service technician and Samsung, our machine was finally replaced. We also purchased a Samsung dishwasher. Within 13 months I had to hire a service technician to replace the thermostat (error 1E, 3E) for 282.50. Now, almost another later, another error OE. My husband and I bought all new Samsung appliances for our first home: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer. Each product has had to be repaired in the less than 4-year period we have owned the home. The most infuriating by far has been the refrigerator which now freezes over on a monthly, well, lets be real here, weekly, basis. A block of 3 builds up near the fan due to its poor design flaw which means we have the joy of unloading the entire contents of the refrigerator and freezer only to carry them out to the 1980 GE refrigerator in the garage. The sole job of the refrigerator is to keep food cool, yet this product cannot do it. Im angry that this issue has not been resolved and a recall has not been issued. It may sound crazy, but spending my monthly midnight Oh no, its done it again...time to relocate all of the food hours of fun isnt a tradition Id like to continue. I just want my money back so I can put it towards a new refrigerator that will not convert itself into a titanic sized iceberg that, although an iceberg, cannot keep my food chilled.

RF267AEPN French Door Samsung Refrigerator - Nice looking junk! Expensive and poorly made, and Samsung knows it. They should be ashamed. I bought mine from Sears in 2010. Two days ago, I noticed that food in the fridge portion seemed to be spoiling far too fast. Some of the produce and lunch meats needed to be thrown out after only being purchased four days prior. Then today it sounded like the fridge fan was banging against something. I checked the temperature gauges and was shocked to find the fridge was at 53 degrees, even though it was set to 38. The freezer was fine. Set for -2, and maintaining -2. Then I realized I had a pile of water under the Cool Select Drawer. After cleaning that mess up, I wondered if maybe the water filter had anything to do with it. Since it was time to change it anyway, I started to take out the shelf under the water filter, and found I could not get the shelf out because it was frozen in place. Then I noticed that the entire strip that runs down the center back of the fridge for purposes of shelf height adjustment was completely filled with ice. I could not believe I was seeing this sort of thing on a refrigerator that is only 3 1/2 years old. So I started researching to see if anyone else has had this problem with these refrigerators and found this site (along with reviews on vendor sites), and found that a class action lawsuit was filed in 2010, and appears to be ongoing. One of the main law firms representing plaintiffs appears to be Cohen, Placitella & Roth, so I will be contacting them to see if it is possible to add more people. Companies should not be allowed to get away with making such inferior product. People simply cannot afford to be replacing major appliances every three years!!

Numerous efforts have been made to stop the refrigerator from leaking all over the floor. Parts replaced several time$$$. Samsung has no interest in correcting this. Now, the leaking appears to have been corrected (time will tell). The new problem is failure of temperatures to set/hold for both the freezer and the refrigerator! Refrigerator is at 61 degrees! Should be at 38 degrees! Freezer was at 28 and should be at -2. Perform power reset...no change. Samsung has refused to do anything even though it a clearly known issue - just look at the complaints all over the internet! Nothing has happened (power outages, relocation, ...nothing) to cause these problems.

Well needless to say, today it officially BROKE and all of our food has SPOILED. I immediately contacted Samsung and I spoke with Tiffany ** (operator #**) and Shonda ** (operator #**) of their customer service department. She told me that there is nothing that she can do to replace the refrigerator because it is out of warranty. After pleading with her that I have three small children under the age of five who need to have access to milk, juice and medication that requires refrigeration, she told me that she would schedule a service call (ticket #**). The problem is that I live in a rural part of Virginia. They wont be able to come to look at the refrigerator for a few weeks, let alone fix it on the spot or that it would be covered since it probably would be something that is not under their warranties. I need help! I cannot wait this long to get it looked at! I have already lost $500 worth of groceries and if I replace it with new food, we dont have a way to store that food. Please if someone at Samsung is reading this, take action to HELP ME. I am writing this post in hopes that someone at Samsung will see this and be able to get me a real resolution to this problem because I dont know what to do (maybe exchange for another used model or even a new one?). I currently work for the Marine Corps and we cant afford to buy another $1,500 refrigerator, especially since this one was purchased brand new 24 months ago from Lowes. I dont like dropping the we are a military family moniker, but the fact is I am a veteran who needs help. Again Samsung, please help! I am desperate since as a veteran, we dont make the type of money that most other families do. Not that any American family makes enough money to keep replacing refrigerators every two years. To be fair, I will update everyone if there is an amicable resolution to this issue.

We followed directions to change the interior Halogen light bulb in our ME179KFETSR Samsung Microwave oven. Weve spent over 6 hours, called at least 5 different recommended phone numbers, including 1-800 SAMSUNG, and we are still no closer to changing the old light bulb. We removed the old bulb, but our fingers are too large to install the new bulb. It must be a faulty design, but Id say when you cant even change the light bulb, or get any help, I have bought my last Samsung kitchen appliance. I would have given a 0 for my satisfaction rating if it was an option.

Samsung sent non-English speaking technicians TWICE to pretend to fix it. Problem comes back. Contact Samsung Office of President requesting exchange. Response was no exchange as it was repaired twice. Wrote again since they missed the point. There is no repair.... its poorly designed. Waiting for reply. When is the Class Action happening?

My Samsung microwave (model SMH9187) is a few months past its warranty period and is no longer working due to the SE error. The unplug/reconnect fix worked for 12 hours the first time and 10 minutes the second time. I should have done more research before shopping for a microwave. I cannot believe Consumer Reports rated this junk number 1. Do not buy Samsung microwaves.

I have had the Samsung SMH8165ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Approximately 1 month ago, microwave started beeping, wouldnt shut off. I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. I checked online and found out it is a very common problem with these microwaves due to moisture. An over the stove microwave should be designed to handle being over the stove. I called Samsung regarding the issue. Initially they told me that I would have to pay for the repair and labor. I informed them of the hundreds of complaints online. They finally agreed to change out the control panel, saying they KNEW it was a problem, and that there was an extended warranty, should have said that upfront. They set me up with a service repair company. Of course they tell you they will call you the day of the appointment and let you know when they would be coming, took over a week. I took the day off from work not knowing what time the tech would arrive. Tech arrived to install the panel, they had ordered the wrong panel/part!!! No apology, nothing, like my time is of no value. Waited an additional week to have them return, same story with will call you the day of for the time of the appointment. Tech installed the panel, microwave worked for approximately one day, went to use last night, started, then went totally dead, no power, nothing!! I called Samsung and told them what had happened, they were of no assistance. Said because it is not indicating an SE error, that I will now have to pay for the parts and labor! Unbelievable! I own Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. Pray that they dont have a problem. I will NEVER purchase a Samsung product again. And I will never recommend a Samsung product to anyone!

I have a 4 year old top of the line Samsung electric cooktop/oven that has always worked great, up until several months ago when it almost blew up. Many others have reported having the main computer board fail/catch fire. Mine was the 2 main oven heating, element wires at the solder connection app heating up, sagging and touched back metal panel. Wires shorted, blowing them off the oven. Luckily breaker tripped, shutting off power to oven, one wire did catch fire briefly. Dont remember what the warranty did cost but the 5 year one is prob worth it on the expensive ones. I looked at the back with the panel off and a thousand dollar unit has the same build quality as the 200 dollar one. **.

Poor products and Ill advise anyone who will listen not to buy them. I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy for 2 years and mine was finished when this happened. PLEASE READ. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model number RF197ACRS in December 2012. It took not much more than a year and a half before I started having issues with leaking and frost build up as described by many other Samsung Refrigerator owners. Samsung support is a joke - belligerent agent who refuse to identify themselves with a company ID#. Refuse you to speak with management or any other company officials. These issues we are having are not typical repairs. They are design flaws and Samsung should take responsibility for them.I have a refrigerator. I paid nearly 2000 dollars for and a year and a half later is virtually useless to me unless I spend countless dollars keeping it running. There are no Lemon Laws in Canada to protect consumers for faulty appliances. If there is a class action against Samsung please inform me. If there is not and you are willing to start one I will start one. Guidelines prevent me from posting email or phone. Please find me.

I bought a French door refrigerator in October 2009 and have nothing but problems with it. Had ice unit replaced twice and it was never fixed. Told by service technician that Samsung paid that there was a design flaw in Samsung refrigerators and it will never work right. Tried to get unit replaced and Samsung would not respond and delayed fixing until out of warranty. It has never worked correctly. Now I have water/ice under deli drawer and told this is another known problem and a fix has been finally figured out. Out of warranty, so this would be my expense. From what I have read on the internet, I can spend hundreds on repair service and problem will never be fixed. Most people who post suggest dumping the unit and replace it with anything but Samsung. Hate to do this as unit was expensive, but have no other choice. Does anyone know if there is class action lawsuit on these refrigerators?

We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model
We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model so that the cold cuts and handy things are in a middle drawer. Great features, and electronic controls provide good feedback that all is working. Bright interior LEDs. Ice maker and water dispenser. The functions and features sold it for us. Within months, the door shelves were cracking. We are not abusive, just placing milk. The plastic is brittle. The shelf bottom will crack and the tabs that hold the door can come apart, which drops it on the floor. Had to buy two new shelves. I bought Styrene plastic sheets from a hobby store, cut and sandwiched them to the drawers in weak areas (using MEK), for reinforcement which solved that issue. Never experienced such poor plastic (HIPS) in a $2000 appliance... or even a $500 unit.At about 3 years old, the fridge starts to buzz inside, and ice is visible in the interior back panel. Ice is encroaching on the evaporator fan. I removed the back panel to access the evaporator coil. Solid ice in the upper half of the coil. As if the defrost heater doesnt work. In fact, the defrost heater does work. Could not find any fault in the defrost thermo-disk, and all temperature sensors measured OK. Heater works too (120 Ohms). Changed the defrost thermo-disk anyway and really defrosted and dried out the cover using a hair dryer. Fridge ran fine for 8 months. Repeat. Turns out the defroster only takes care of the lower half of the evaporator coil! Design flaw. Once you start hearing the fan buzzing, the ice is building in the upper half of the evaporator coil. Once the fan gets stopped, everything including the styrofoam turns into a block of ice. You can thaw out the styrofoam and remove the ice. Or replace that back cover and styrofoam until another humid time when it will freeze up again (design flaw). Ive now defrosted it manually about 6 or 7 times, using every opportunity to measure and determine why this is happening. Ive checked all on-line videos and advice to solve these freeze up issues and attempted those that make sense (cause-effect). I have a power datalogger monitoring the fridge electrical consumption so I can evaluate how often and for how long it defrosts. Taken it on as a riddle.I did contact Samsung early in this process. They sounded concerned, but when the customer service rep check with their manager, they stated I must have been abusive to cause plastic to crack. No warranty. Yeah right. Im gluing everything together. Today, another roller wheel broke off... glued it back on. The freeze issues started right after warranty. Glad I can trouble shoot and fix myself, else the cost would be crazy. Now Im looking at modifications to prevent the evap coil from freezing up again. Whether you are a technical person or not... its not worth the trouble.... Dont let Samsung glitz sucker you in! It is a lemon. Wife hates it too.

By now refrigerator was out of warranty and Samsung would not do anything! This is probably design defect as so many others have same problem and Samsung cannot correct it. In addition. I also have spot about 3/4 in. long below ice maker where the paint is coming off and, again, Samsung says its cosmetic and not covered. In October of 2012, we purchased a french door Samsung refrigerator, model #RF263BEAESR from our local appliance store. It worked well for the first year. When it was one month out of warranty, we started having problems with major frost build up in the ice maker, so much so, no ice would drop. Called Samsung and they told me I had to call a local repair service. I was not satisfied with this since IMHO, a one year old fridge shouldnt be having problems. I wrote an e-mail to the Executive Office of Consumer Support and got a phone call back in days. I explained the situation and told them I would never buy their products again. They offered us a one time service accommodation. A service tech came out, identified the problem as a problem with some sort of heater unit and replaced it. The fridge worked okay for 4 months and guess what, its happening again!!! Called Samsung again and threw another fit and told them it wasnt fixed so they offered yet another one time service accommodation. This time, they replace the whole front control panel and some sort of heater fan in the ice maker. If these problems persist, Ill be asking for a replacement fridge. FYI, people having problems and your fridge is almost new, DO NOT call a service repair person. Call Samsung and ask to speak to Executive Consumer Affairs. Tell them the problems youre having and your dissatisfaction and ask for a service accommodation, theyll set you up with a service call and you wont have to pay a penny.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher (Model #DW80H9930US) from Tasco, on the ad
I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher (Model #DW80H9930US) from Tasco, on the advice of Tascos salesman. It was installed in November 2014. I had also purchased a 5 year warranty. By June 2015 my dishwasher was no longer working. I went into Tasco who told me I had to contact my warranty provider, who in turn advised that Samsung held the initial warranty for the first year. I contacted Samsung at the beginning of July and was told a technician would call. I never received a call. Two weeks later I contacted them again and as everyone has previously mentioned, the wait times are approximately 30 minutes to speak with someone at the first level customer service. A woman finally booked a date to have a technician come out. I waited all day and got a call from someone to then set up another date that was approximately 3 weeks later. The technician came to my home and I advised him that the soap dispenser was not opening. He attached his computer to my dishwasher and told me the waterfall technology was not working and my motor was defective, which in turn was why the soap was not opening. He advised they would be ordering a new motor and I would get a call within 2 weeks to set up another appt. He also told me off the record this dishwasher consistently breaks down and is not a good buy. I had to remove my baseboard for that visit noting the dishwasher is built in. He never left the name of his company or anything with me. 3 weeks later I still had not heard from anyone. I contacted Samsung again to speak with someone and they told me they would be in touch. I called again 3 days later and after 30 min and going through the story each time -- got disconnected. In August I finally called and was put through to the Executive department because I was told I could not speak to management. I spoke with a Brian representative ** who was extremely rude and just flat out told me that they would not even consider replacing the unit, even noting the issues wrong with it so early on and the reviews I had read. He gave me an email address sdr.seca@samsung.com to send through a complaint as there never seems to be a manager consumers can speak with. I sent an email with my issues on August 12 and then a follow up on August 18th, 2015, and have never received a response from Samsung. I called 2 more times and was still unable to get a technician or call back. In October I went back to Tasco for help and was told I should have contacted them for service. I contacted Tasco who then in turn left me hanging until the end of November. On Thursday, November 26, I received a call from a Peter ** at Samsung and was told the delay of 6 months was because I did not call the technician back to let him know the baseboard had been removed. That the dishwasher was not properly diagnosed and they dont even know what is wrong with it. He was reading very different information than anyone else I had spoken to and basically told me I was lying that it was the motor. He was so rude, condescending, and when I asked for his managers phone number, he gave me a wrong number. At this point I have a dishwasher that has not worked for 5 months and cannot get Samsung to help me at all. At this time, I would like the dishwasher replaced and it is now out of warranty. At this time I do plan to take Samsung and Tasco to small claims court if I have to, noting I have a dishwasher that does not work and now its out of the manufacturers warranty. I will never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance to anyone and will deter anyone from them. I would not want anyone to have to endure the stress and frustration I have had to deal with and still have not had the problem rectified. So disappointing.

So we purchased this refrigerator on May 29, 2017. We were so excited about this since we had done a lot of homework and research and this seemed like it would fit our needs. After delivering the refrigerator we noticed that the ice maker was noisy but what the heck, this wasnt a deal breaker. Then the fun really began. On October 12, less than 4-1/2 months later the ice maker went out. They came out promptly and replaced the ice maker with a new one and everything was fine UNTIL February 22, 2018 (again around 4 months later) the ice maker quit working again... So another technician came out and told us that the refrigerator needed to be exchanged. He gave us an exchange number and told us someone would call us within 24-48 hours. (I have learned to HATE that comment). We waited and no one called so I called the company service department and they asked me for some numbers off of the purchase ticket. They told me that they were waiting on this information in order to expedite the exchange. My response was why didnt you call. Anyway, I gave them the information they were looking for (we had purchased the refrigerator at Sears). Samsung informed me that they would call me back within 24-48 hours. Guess what. They didnt. So, I called them again and asked what the problem was now. They informed me that they were waiting on more information and that as soon as they had it they would start processing the claim. This has been going on for almost a month now. Thursday 3/8/18 I turned it over to my husband and he contacted the NJ office and was told that we COULDNT get a exchange but we could get a refund, minus the sales tax and that they would respond in (wait for it) 24-48 hours. We never received a call so I called them back today on 3/13 and was informed that they had it in the file and I explained to the first person that I didnt want a refund, less the sales tax because I couldnt replace the refrigerator with that. She informed me that she was sorry, seriously, who cares. But I told her that we needed an exchange and I wanted to speak to her supervisor. She came back on the line and told me that she could give me the refund PLUS the sales tax and I informed her that I could not replace the refrigerator for that. I asked to speak to HER supervisor. Let me say that it is almost impossible to speak to a supervisor of any kind. These people have a script and they do not deviate from it. I was finally able to speak to supposedly a manager who simply stated the same thing she was sorry but they couldnt do an exchange but she could get me back my sales tax plus the purchase price.I told her that I didnt want my money back because I could not replace the refrigerator and it wasnt my fault that it was a LEMON. She again went through the Samsung Party Line and I told her that I wanted to talk to her supervisor. She told me that she was it and I explained that I then wanted to speak to the person that SHE has to answer to. Guess what... She told me that no one could do anything better than this BUT if I wanted she would have someone return my call wait for it in the next 24 to 48 hours. Hmmm. What are the chances. Just some food for thought here. I have never experienced such horrible Customer Service in my life. Very few of the people speak English and it is almost virtually impossible to understand them. They absolutely refuse to let you speak to anyone else and just continue on with Im sorry and I can help you with that, but they can not help me so why do they continue to do so. It is the most frustrating experience and it will literally make you crazy. I totally refuse to give up and if necessary I will contact the media outlets AND social media to get this resolved... This is absolute BS.

Model RFGTHDRS - I bought this unit 3 years ago. Nearly every plastic bin on both side of the door broke for no reason and had to be replaced. About 2 years after the purchase, I noticed water collecting and then freezing underneath the large pantry drawer, to the point you cant open that drawer. I have to eventually take that whole drawer out and remove the ice buildup. Samsung wanted to charge me $450 for a service call, and they denied being aware of any problem like this. I see it is a very huge problem. I am completely dissatisfied with customer support and this product. I would advise anyone to stay away from Samsung refrigerators. Dishwasher with water wall - It started to be defective a couple of months
Dishwasher with water wall - It started to be defective a couple of months after purchase (stopped working and showed a message on the top of the door to indicated what the problem was). Got repaired. But since at first, the problem was sometimes present and sometimes it was okay, they told me it could not be repaired and I would have to pay for the visit if when he comes, he cannot see the problem. So I had to wait for it to be defective all the time for them to repair it. This happened after a month since the beginning of the problems. One year later was defective again but this time more than one problem had to be addressed. The pump had a problem. The water wall isnt moving so the dishes that are on the lower part are not washed. And the motor had to be changed (I dont know if this is the same thing as the pump). And I had to wait a whole month for the parts to be available so these problems had to wait. Then someone came and repaired, or tried to repair. The motor or pump works better, it doesnt make that weird noise anymore, but the water wall isnt repaired, the repair didnt work. So the water wall will have been defective for a month and a half if this time he is able to repair it, or longer if he is still not able to repair it.The extended warranty applies only if the same part is broken three times, not if one part is defective, then later another part is defective and so on. Also the extended warranty can apply if in the end the dishwasher will not be repaired, but how long will I have to wait for them to decide they end the trying to repair period of time? Also, this time they will probably replace the same part that had been replaced during the first year of warranty. But since it happened during the first year of warranty, it will not count for the extended warranty that started at the end of the first year. So even if the part is replaced a third time, the first time will not count. In other words, there is not much chance that my dishwasher that is always defective will be replaced. I am stuck with it. I will never buy a Samsung product again. This is a shame, it is always defective and all this time waiting for a repair wastes time of my warranty since nothing is happening. They should replace it after three problems, not three times the same part broken. And they should extend the warranty during this whole month when I am waiting for it to be repaired. It was an expensive dishwasher. What a waste of money.

I purchased a Sumsung dishwasher new and approx. 18 months later, it stopped working. The replacement parts and repair totaled only $115.00 less than I paid for the product new. The repairman said Samsung was NOT dependable, but they often stood behind their products and would pay for parts and/or repair especially since this machine was relatively new. I also heard that if I paid to have this repaired, that Id probably have to call repair in next few years again. Samsung refused to help pay for even the parts, so Im chucking it and buying a Bosch. I dont need bells and whistles, I just need a dishwasher that works.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher less than 2 years ago and it just stopped working. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he told us it would be $600 to fix it and we would be better off buying a new one. He also charged us $99 to tell us that. When I called Samsung to try and get some money back, anything, they did nothing. You would think if you pay the prices they charge for their appliances they would work for more than 2 years. I had a GE for 23 years without ever having to have a service call. I wont be buying Samsung anymore.

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

The first time this happened I didnt realize the temperature in the fridge was only 60 degrees because the display read 37 degrees. I ended up with food poisoning and was sick for a week. Each time this happens you need to unplug and defrost the ice off the coil. NOT FUN. Samsung should recall these and compensate customers.

I purchased model NE59J7850WS/AA. It was not heating properly and I called to have it serviced. When the service tech came out he stated that they had several problems with this unit and thats just the way it was. He didnt even have a thermometer with him to check if the oven was heating properly. After using my own thermometer he made a few calls and replaced the entire board in the back. Its working better but does not heat evenly. The newest issue is that the glass top is really hard to keep clean. Ive had glass top stoves before and never had a problem like this. We called service and was told if it isnt a manufacturer defect we would have to pay for the service call. I think the most insulting thing was she was trying to tell us we didnt know how to clean the cooktop. I will never purchase another Samsung product. I dont believe they are a quality product.

I am finding all Samsung products are crappy made. I bought a fridge little over yr ago and ice maker stopped working within 2 months. Had tech I paid for come out look at it, claimed fixed problems. Month later ice maker froze up, stopped working. Called Samsung, they send a tech which they want me to pay for while under warranty. They act like they were doing me a favor by paying for it. 2 weeks later it has stopped again, whole unit frozen solid. I called and yet again they will not paid to have it looked at. Why should I pay another 2-3 hundred dollars on top of over $2000 spent to buy it. Reading all the reviews on here. Action should be taken against Samsung to make the products work as intended just like auto makers do recall their junk and make them fix the problems.

I preferred to select 0 stars but that is not an option. I purchased a bottom freezer fridge on 7/26/2007, Model RB195BSSW. For several days, the freezer isnt working properly and the fridge isnt cooling sufficiently. This morning, a Best Buy technician came out to troubleshoot and determined the circuit board needs replacing. I called Samsung since the fridge is less than 5 years old. No help, the person on the phone just kept telling me I could go through Best Buy to fix the issue or have Samsung come out at my additional expense. This is unacceptable for a product that is less than 5 years old. Ive purchased many Samsung products in the past - TV, cellphones and never (knock on wood) have had an issue. I am very disappointed in their product and lack of service.

We bought a Samsung stove 5 weeks ago, and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty. We were told this would ensure quick response on appliance issues. It has worked well for 5 weeks. Last week while baking @ 350, we heard something crackling and opened the oven to find the inside door glass had completely spider-cracked and glass fell everywhere the inside of the oven. Since the stove was only 5 weeks old and we had the 5 yr extended warranty, a simple door replacement would solve the issue.15 phone calls (store, 3rd-party service company, Samsung) and several days later we are frustrated. The first roadblock was getting someone to arrange a service call. After sending a copy of the store receipt, there was more delay while the 3rd party service company had Samsung validated the receipt - seriously? Finally they call to dispatch a tech, and was told they are coming to access and take a picture to evaluate the need. I offered to take the picture and email it, and again indicated that replacing the oven door would solve the issue. So today, the 3rd party company called saying Tech was on the way. Tech shows up (no part), takes a picture and notes yes, the door glass is defective and leaves. Its now 8 days and counting with no functioning oven, and no ETA. Ive reached out to the Lowes store Manager (who has been very helpful, but also hamstrung by the same bureaucracy with 3rd party maintenance company & Samsung procedures). While I like the 2 Samsung appliances I own, given this first customer service experience, I would not purchase another Samsung appliance. We all know Appliances will break - but if one cant get a NEW appliance serviced even with the 5 yr extended warranty... Purchase from a different brand that supports good warranty service.

My refrigerator (Samsung RF24FSEDBSR) has a unusual noise coming from the back. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug the unit for 24 hours and let it defrost (really a refrigerator without a defrost cycle). I have seen where ice builds up and the fan is actually hitting against the ice and thats what causes the noise. The 2nd issue is the ice maker, or rather the lack of ice making. The ice maker is always dropping water into the drip tray, and the tray stays full. When you dispense ice the ice is wet and usually a bunch of crumbles VS solid cubes. We called Samsung and went to Frys where we bought the unit and all they say is that its a common problem, then said check the gasket/seal on the door that lines up with the ice chute, and is the chute door closing all the way. Both worked as they should but we still have water dripping.

A few years ago, I bought a Samsung oven/range/stove. Today, I pressed the self-clean button. The oven status display started beeping and displayed an error code E-0E and flashed an icon of a padlock. I researched trouble shooting, tried to reset, powered cycled, etc. Nothing worked. The oven no longer works - it only flashes the display - E-0E and there is no way to stop it. I called Samsung and after getting a magnifying glass and super bright light to read the M/C number and serial number ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN, the lady told me the unit was out of warranty (big surprise). She then told me that for about $300.00 (about 40% of the price of the oven), I could buy a warranty and it would cover the repair. I said no - so they transferred me to a service number where they informed me it would cost about $225.00 for a service call to diagnose the problem. I asked them why the oven was equipped with a self-destruct button - and how it is possible that an oven could die after barely 2 years of light use. No answer.

We purchased this range NX58J770SS/AS on the first week of November 2018. That week I worked late all week and didnt use the oven. The next week went on vacation. So back Thanksgiving week, cooked the Turkey and after that may have used the oven 3 or 4 times. So on Dec 18 I decided to bake croutons, top part of oven 400 degree, with about 3 tablespoon of oil on a baking sheet. After 10 min. thought they were done, shut the oven off. Then decided to put them in again for more crunch, turned the oven on. Turned around and in seconds the smoke alarms go off, and look in the oven and blazing flames coming from oven. Turned oven off and thank God my husband had a fire extinguisher out in the garage! Smoke was bad and now white stuff everywhere. Of course called service in the morning, and told them the same story. They sent a repairman Dec 24, took pictures and video for the technician people. I didnt get an answer from them by the end of that week, so I called them to see what their answer was. Their answer was is cosmetically injured. Ask them what that meant, there was oil on the back part of the oven. I said first it was cooked off. And 3 tablespoon of oil would of not caused a blazing flames. So now I have an oven that was told not to use by the repairman, and the people we purchased the oven from. The person I talked to said that was their decision, and end of that story. First I cook for a living and never saw a brand new oven cause that type of flame!

I purchased a Samsung stove, microwave, and refrigerator with a bottom freezer. The fans kept getting louder, so we called Samsung, who would only refer us to a repair person. Even though the back of the refrigerator is sealed, and the warranty says it covers sealed parts, we were told that it didnt include the fans. We were referred to a repair company and were told it would cost us approximately $375 to repair. We looked at reviews on this website and became extremely upset. Not only is this a common defect for this refrigerator, repairs have failed, having the same problem reappear. Why cant something be done to protect the consumer. I will never buy another Samsung product, plus I read that Samsung is owned by Maytag. What do we do? Weve purchased many, many items at Lowes, where we bought these items. Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

Apparently I am not the only one that has had this problem. Im entirely appalled at the prospect of my 4-year old, my 7-year old, and I drinking ice water that has plastic and metal particles and pieces in it. At this point, I am not even sure how long we have been drinking contaminated product. My refrigerator is right around 3.5 years old, so it is not under parts warranty any longer, but I am confused as to why there hasnt been a recall on these icemakers? Another consumers review fits my situation exactly besides the timeline of events. I would also like to know the composition of the materials that were being sloughed off into our drinks. I just found this problem today and Samsung Customer Service is trying to make me buy new parts and pay for installation. My main concern is for my health and the health of other consumers, and in my opinion, there needs to be a recall for these ice makers and some sort of compensation due. Not just a, Well, your warranty is up, so here pay more money for some parts that probably wont fix the issue. No thank you. We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model: RF25HMEDB6SA back in August of 2014 and started experiencing issues 18 months ago. Water was leaking from ice maker into crisper. Ice maker was also freezing up and required defrosting. Also, the refrigerator began making a churning noise so we finally contacted Samsung to get the appliance serviced. They sent a technician from their authorized repair company (HSN) on 6/1. The representative from the company said that it was a bad sensor that needed to be replaced and should not have any more issues. Within 10 days, the churning sound was worse than ever. Called them back, same technician fixed the issue again. Wrong!Long story short, Ive had several interactions with Samsung and their service company with no positive results. Even though I had $200 invested in the repair with Samsung/HSN, I decided to contact a reputable company to diagnose the issue. They informed me that the service company did not follow the service bulletins that Samsung published. The cost to deploy the fixes that Samsung recommended would be over $1K for an appliance that I paid $2400 for not even four years ago! We are now buying a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy another Samsung product. Terrible product and dishonest company.

Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.

We bought this nice new French door refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes. Fast forward to 2011, we were moving and out of town. We came home to a refrigerator that had quit cooling. It was running but not cooling and there were loads of flies. Aside from being very ticked off, we cleaned it out, lost several hundreds of dollars in food. We have contacted Lowes several times and they cannot find the sale which doesnt matter; it has a sticker on it showing the mfg date. We live in a very rural area. Twice now, Lowes has been contacted about finding a service person and they would get back to us and never do. I and my family are extremely disappointed with a Samsung product (DMR78 Dishwasher). We bought it three years ago and it already stopped working. When asked for support, I was told that a defective part will be provided under warranty, but I should pay for labor to install it. On top of labor, Samsung wants to charge $100 for a service call. This is really bad! This is Samsungs fault, that a relatively new product stopped working (an old GE model worked in our kitchen for 10+ years without a glitch, before we replaced it with DMR). Now, Samsung wants to charge this ridiculous service call charge of $100 on top of the $80 for labor? The total $180 fee for our choice of this product? RM255BARB - The ice maker never worked right. It never gave us large ice cubes & ice cubes were mixed with crushed ice. It also stopped up all the time. A service man was called out so many times, I finally gave up. Now the bottom right door (this is a 4 door refrig.) rust started coming out of it. Called to see what is going on. After several phone calls & a visit from repairman on a $2800 refrig., about 7/12 year old machine, it has to be replaced. This is really disgusting because most people cant afford this kind of money every 7 years. I also have a Samsung in my garage as a back up with the freezer pull out drawer and I hate it. It is now freezing the food in the refrigerator part. Why cant these companies get their act together. I guess they think you will just go out and buy another of their products, but what they need to realize is people go to another company. Disgusted with Samsung.

New Samsung (RS25H5111) installed in 8/2014 and by 10/2014 the fridge has completely stopped cooling. Its under warranty but we are getting the run around Samsung. Asked for them to take the fridge back under Michigans consumer (lemon) law.

My new Samsung stainless steel refrigerator was installed 2/10/18. Unfortunately, upon peeling off the film, there are two dents in the left French Style door. I notified Samsung, Monday, 12th and was told I was outside the return range of 48 hours. All Samsung wants to do is provide excuses instead of fix this issue. I was told to contact Samsungs, Escalation Customer Relations. When I called their toll free number, I was greeted with one of the rudest service reps Ive dealt with. He refused to transfer me to the ECR department, despite the fact I gave him my order number. He initially requested this number as if he were going to transfer me as I requested. Instead of doing so, he blatantly stated he would not do so. Samsung has the images of the damaged door. This is the WORST customer service ever.
