RE: Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF26J7500. We had the ice maker repaired as it was leaking and the ice was slushy. Ice would build up in the maker and had to be chopped out. The ice maker drawer sticks/freezes and is difficult to pull out. It is cracked. Items in the back of the refrigerator were also freezing. The repairman also fixed the wheels on the pull out drawer because they kept falling off. The drawer has never worked correctly. The cover is cracked, it sicks and rubs against the plastic on the sides. This is causing white shavings and dust particles. This is a huge concern as it is a SAFETY HAZARD. The dust and shavings are getting on items in our refrigerator. Ingestion of this plastic is obviously toxic. In addition, we have two cracked door bins. I called Samsung today. After being told the drawer and bins are not covered, I asked for a supervisor. The associate came back on the phone and stated the supervisor also said it is not covered. I asked again to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold again. The associate came back on and stated they would replace the broken items. I requested my concerns be documented well, and reiterated my disbelief that Samsung has not recalled this refrigerator. Both the store I purchased the refrigerator from and the repair technician stated that Samsung refrigerators are notorious for these issues and they receive continual complaints from Samsung customers.
If I could go back in time I would of bought something else besides a defective refrigerator. They look great but dont work for long. The WARRANTY is useless as they cannot repair it. Waste of time for me to wait for a repair that doesnt work. You will end up wasting more money by throwing away your food as it will not hold temperature at a safe level. It will make you sick. If I could give them a score of minus I would. Please do not buy their products.
We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?
Purchased a model RF23HCEDBSR in 2015 and have had issues with icemaker since day one. Called Samsung and they said to remove the ice tray and empty once a week to keep it from freezing up. Thats insane. Im at a point now, where it wont dispense ice, as it is frozen up somewhere inside. Have tried a hairdryer in the past, but this time I am unable to remove the tray. Its stuck!!! Called Samsung again today making them aware of the continuing problem, since day one.... and of course they want to charge me to look into their defective product. I couldnt be more disappointed and will NEVER PURCHASE A SAMSUNG PRODUCT EVER AGAIN!!!! More like SamSuck!!!!
Samsung rf28hmedbsr - We have had 4 in 2 months and have had nothing but problems with customer service. It is the worst and very unfriendly. Still Samsung cannot tell us why the fridge just stops chilling and ruins all our food, twice! The third time we were home and saved the food. Just received 4th and hope it works. Repairman said he would never own a Samsung! Nice! If this one breaks, then Whirlpool here we come, just like the repairman said!
From the day it was installed about a year ago, it leaks badly under the door during the first cycle. It never cleans the dishes well and always leaves funk all over for me to scrape off after. I might as well hand wash! Now the unit will not complete cycle. I have taken it apart a zillion times to clean and inspect. What a piece of **. Locally we have a tire store called Discount Tire. In their TV ad they show a little old lady throwing a tire through their front window and the ad says if youre not satisfied.... bring it back. I wonder what it would sound like when I throw this dishwasher through Lowes front window?
Samsung Dishwasher DW80K Series - Does not get the dishes clean. Has too many functions, not user friendly. Stacking dishes in this product is a challenge at best. All around Awful Product. I wouldnt even recommend this product for the Land Fill!!! It saddens me that I have to give them a star just to post my dissatisfaction.
When redoing my kitchen, I wanted a counter depth refrigerator but only have a 30+ opening. What I found is that Samsung is the only manufacturer offering this under $2000.00. Yes you can buy a Sub-Zero for $7k or a Liebherr for $4k but you also need over 70 in height which I do not have. I am not the only one in this situation. My sister recently faced the same problem, along with 3 other shoppers in the showroom... Right from the start there were problems; food and beverages freezing in the refrigerator, ice buildup and water in and under the crisper bins, water dripping on the floor, crushed ice chips rather than cubes. Repaired once with a new control they said was a design defect, but out of warranty so you are on your own. Now the ice maker has stopped working entirely, the freezing water is back in the fridge and on the floor and the ice cream is melting in the freezer. My friend also has this unit in white. She has the paint peeling off the handles, the same freezing/dripping water problems and ice maker problems. Not everyone has a huge kitchen where they have many choices for counter depth machines. Why are manufacturers ignoring this market? I understand the small kitchen accounts for 30% of homes and apartments in the USA. I am waiting for the repairman once again today... This Samsung is a piece of garbage! Dont buy it. Wish I had the $ for the subzero... but then again Subzero would be a better investment if I have to buy this Samsung crap every few years...
Just purchased a Samsung RF28HFEDTSG refrigerator a week ago. Simply want to say that all Samsung refrigerators are shipped with a screw hole that is drilled into the appearance surface of the top of unit to store cord during shipping. They delivered and left hole exposed to dust and humidity. If you want holes drilled into your refrigerator and left exposed then purchase a Samsung. If you want a fridge without holes buy any other brand. From store purchased, Samsung hotline and Samsung regional representative no one offers reasons for their holey refrigerators. Samsung stinks.
We bought this fridge in 10/2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. The valve has been leaking a while according to the insurance adjuster who denied our claim because of the length of time it leaked and because the valve is defective we are now looking at having to replace valve, floor 2 cabinets and some subfloor. We bought this appliance knowing it would be great. We have many Samsung items and like the quality. But we are disappointed that this happened. We are struggling with life as it is my husband was diagnosed with Arachnoiditis in 2014 and had to go on disability. In June 2016 he had a brain stem stroke and I had to quit work to care for him 24/7. So coming up with the money to repair this while leaving off of disability will be rough. But I dont want my fridge to fall thru the floor. Help is needed, requested and prayed for.
We a little over a year ago purchased a house full of Samsung appliances starting with washer and dryer, liking both the look and the way they worked. When we were ready to redo the kitchen we decided to purchase fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave all Samsung. The fridge shortly after installed developed water stain in the screen of water dispenser, however since we were 1 day past the original purchase date the warranty was up and Samsung would not help us, and also said a water stain would be considered cosmetic, however now we smelled something burning and now you can see burn area around water spot in water dispenser screen. Not please with Samsung service after spending so much with a house full of Samsung appliances.
Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this range is working up to the specifications of the manufacturers design then that design is flawed. One flaw is that there are no vent openings in the bottom of the oven to allow for heat transfer. Vents that would mean the oven could come up to temperature in 10 minutes rather than the 30 to 45 minutes this lemon takes. Other brands that we have since been looking at have these vent slits. It may be more convenient for Ms Consumer to clean a range with a hidden bottom element but if by hiding it you restrict the heat flow, what good is it?Another flaw is that the sensor tells the temperature display 365 and beeps to say it is ready to bake when the oven is only at 225, 365 is still 30 to 45 minutes away. Why was this range designed to do this? To impress the EnerGuide inspector with how quickly it reaches temperature? Can you say Volkswagen?? A third flaw is that there is no consistency in the final temperature reached. Set it for 365 and it may only go up to 345, next time it might go to 385 (as it did when Sears repairman Ken was here. He said he could fix that problem, I said why bother, last time it only went to 345, if you drop it by 20 it could just go to 325.)A fourth flaw is the variation of oven temperature within one baking session. The last time we baked (was the LAST time as we wont try again) it took 38 minutes to get up to 365. We put in a sheet of cookies and 12 minutes later they were done to perfection (the two on the right). The second sheet of the same cookie batch went in just as the first was taken out, when checked 8 minutes later they were already burnt. Usually, when you open the oven door to take something out and then put something in the temperature drops, in this case it must have risen substantially to burn the cookies in 8 minutes. There is no rhyme nor reason for the temperature variations with this thing. You say There is no repair solution that can be attempted by our technicians as after multiple visits we have not detected any fault with the unit. That is not true. Your guy Ken can attest to the fact that it took 45 minutes to get up to temperature and that the final temperature was 20 degrees higher than the setting. He wasnt here when it only went to 345, he hasnt been here when the wild fluctuations have occurred. Have him spend a day here checking it out, hell tell you whats what. Better yet have him take it home and make HIS wife try to use it! We arent going to anymore! For more than 45 years we have put our faith in Sears and Sears products. Now, at the first instance of a problem Sears has failed us. Well see if a media investigative reporter will be interested in this matter as we have had no luck getting Samsung or Sears to see reason. CBC, CTV & Global for a start.
The top rack has a section that is corroding and rusting. The dishwasher is just one year old. Customer service claims it is physical damage and they will not replace the rack. We put cups on the rack so that clearly could not be physical damage to cause corrosion and rust. Their products are junk. Do not buy Samsung. They are cheap products and they have terrible customer service.
I had a Frigidaire refrigerator that lasted 20 years. My family said time for a new one so I went to and found a Samsung refrigerator double door with pullout freezer drawers purchased 12/1/15 warranty 1-year. I didnt get extended warranty within 2-months past warranty. Bottom freezer started making loud noises and went out. Of course you call to Philippines so I had them fix it 400.00. So now 14 months later it went out again. I called to see if there was recall or they would discount, nothing. I have to fix it so waited for 2-3 hours for technician. Turned out the Samsung had sent wrong part. So I call asking for a discount for my time, nothing. So stay away from SAMSUNG. Also dont buy appliances from Home Dept. When you drive away they wash their hands of any responsibility.
DW80F600UTS dishwasher - Do not buy this dishwasher. If you do I hope you purchased an extended warranty. Broke 3 times in 2 years. Same code and part. Samsung did help repair it 1 time because the exact part broke in less than 3 months. Not a family use. Ran it only 3 to 4 times a week. Even put a filter on the well to prevent problems. Would like to sue them for making such a defective Lemon.
Within 1 week of receiving my fridge, we noticed the ice cubes looked frosted over & smaller than they should be. The distributor we bought it from replaced the ice maker. That made no difference. Now, a year & a half later, nothing has changed other than the water isnt cold. Distributors all complain that Samsung doesnt return their calls either! I hate this fridge!!
Just under 3 years ago I purchased an electric range for my elderly parents. The broiler heating element literally exploded in my 79 year old mothers face when she had the oven door open. After much research we discovered Samsung no longer manufactures the part needed to repair the unit. Before Samsung customer service would even discuss how to make this right they required us to have their preferred repair technician come out for a service call - at a $90 fee. We are still waiting to see how Samsung will compensate us but regardless we had to go purchase a new range so my parents can cook. Another bad thing is my entire kitchen has Samsung appliances and almost the identical range that uses the same broiler element. My kitchen is a ticking time bomb. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Discontinuing parts is terrible customer service.
I bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2020 from Home Depot. It was delivered in June of 2020. Just over a year old and its unusable. Temp readings shown on refrigerator are not the actual inside temps. Temps read normal but actual temp inside is 48+ in fridge section and 20+F in freezer. I had to throw out all of my food. Samsung has no tech in my area to look at it. Because of this they refuse to do anything about it. This is a known defect with Samsung refrigerators. They are not honoring the implied warranty. Parts are still under warranty. So without looking at it they are just saying its out of warranty. How do they know what part is causing the issue? It cant be out of warranty if you dont even know the cause. The ice maker seems to be the biggest issue. So now I sit here 2 weeks later with no refrigerator and no option of getting one anytime soon.Prices have almost doubled since I purchased this appliance. Not sure how hard it would even be to even get one with the shortage thats going on. Samsung has done nothing but play games over the last 2 weeks. I was offered nothing. No tech, no refund, and was told to find someone myself to look at it. Yet, if its not a certified Samsung tech I void the parts of the warranty that are left. If they cant find one in my area, how can I?A voicemail left yesterday says theyre trying to get a hold of me to get someone here and today I have a text from the same guy saying theres nothing they can do. So I wonder if it had been within the first year and it malfunctioned, how would a tech have magically appeared? If there isnt one now there couldnt have been 4 months ago either. Theres a class action lawsuit against them at this time. A FB group of 84,000 people complaining. It has made the news in several states. I would say they have a serious problem and theyre in no hurry to do right by their customers.
I have a one year old Samsung dishwasher and was just told it would cost me $600 to repair it. Of course the warranty just expired...I bought it from Home Depot last year and within 2 weeks was having a problem with it, wouldnt drain, didnt clean well, smart auto error, technician came out to repair and not surprising this wasnt the first time he saw this issue. I wanted to replace it, but of course Samsung wouldnt do that and had to settle for the repair. It is next to impossible to talk to anyone who knows anything at Samsung. ZERO customer service satisfaction! Technician told me to call Samsung and see if they will pay for parts and I would just pay for the labor...I would rather have all my fingernails ripped off than to make this phone call as we all know how this will end! I am so frustrated and angry with Samsung. How do they get away with this??? I would like to take my complaint further, any suggestions? Maybe the BBB? Has anyone attempted this.
We bought new home and furnished with new Samsung kitchen appliances. Within the first four weeks, my wife start to notice tiny rust spots inside sheet metal tub of dishwasher. We called Lowes where we had purchased the appliances. The Lowes sales associate called Samsung dealer support customer service and they scheduled an in-home technician visit. The technician cancelled the appointment 2 hours before showing up and re-scheduled again. I took time off from work during week day for the technician visit. When technician showed up, he assessed that it is in fact rusting. He has seen parts corroded before but never this fast on the sheet metal. He said he can fix/repair things but with rust he cannot do anything. The unit needs to be exchanged. I asked him to take pictures for his documentation which he was not thinking off so he did. I waited a week but did not hear anything. So, I called and put on hold for half hour because Samsung customer service said they cannot locate any information on technician visit and they are now tracking him down. After half hour gone, I asked the agent to sort this internal between Samsung departments and get back to me. Another week gone by, no one followed up so I called again. This time was exact repeat of week before, put on hold again for half hour and still no information available from technicians visit. Like the week before, the agent asked me of the name of technician who visited our house. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and told the agent that this is something Samsung should know why customer has to call each week to sort out Samsung internal process. As a customer, I expect resolution of my problem not to help Samsung of their back office issues. I expect someone to take ownership of the issue, follow-up with whomever and get back. I ended called after half hour when agent could not locate the technician or any details of his visit. Later in the evening, I called again to see if the agent was able to find technician or find any information, the result was same. However, agent promised that someone call me next business day without me calling them back.I received a call from Samsung executive customer service that they now have the findings of the technician and indeed there dishwasher is getting rust. However, the cannot offer any exchange because the rust is cosmetic issue and they cannot offer any exchange. They cannot offer any other option and suggested to consult with the retailer. When I asked who is going to reimburse for installation cost of the dishwasher, I was told that Samsung will not reimburse. When I asked, who will reimburse for my time including time off from work for in-home technician visit and subsequent calls over three week dealing with this lemon? The answer was sorry we dont offer anything. I asked to speak to senior leadership; I was told there is no one that the agent can forward the call to.At this point, I have decided to work with Lowes to see if I can return all Samsung appliances worth over $5000 including front loading washer and dryer, large French door fridge and off course this defective dishwasher. I cannot trust the quality and workmanship of Samsung products. Period! What a shame, a company continues to make defective products. This is not the first time I have this experience, back in 2009 when I bought 55 high-end LCD TV, its LCD panel went out after first year and when they replaced the new LCD panel, six months later, it malfunctioned again resulting in swapping to a LED TV in working with their executive customer service.
We bought a Samsung Dishwasher at the Sears store in Plymouth, Wisconsin. It only worked for about three months. At first, very well. But after that, it would start and then shut off after about five minutes not washing the dishes at all. We would start it over and over and the same thing would happen, it would make noise as if it was starting the wash cycle, then shut off and the alert would have switched on its own to delicate, which we did not set it to. The soap was always untouched, the dishes never cleaned. We called Sears and they said our computer panel was not operating properly. We had them replace it. The dishwasher worked for maybe a month and has now stopped working again, even after a new computer panel was installed. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. I was going to buy a Bosch (which we have had at two other homes and felt it was an outstanding product), but was talked into this crummy one by the saleswoman who assured me it was even better than Bosch. Yeah, right. What a joke. It is pure garbage. I feel absolutely ripped off of 700+ dollars and a lot of aggravation with two lengthy service calls and hours and hours on the phone. I want my money back but feel I have zero recourse. I am so mad we threw good money after a very, very bad product. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER. EVER.
Pros: very quiet, cleans and dries well, utensil rack is wonderful. Cons: the planets have to align in order for the buttons to work. They even mention this in the manual, after 2 weeks the “guides” for the utensil rack started breaking, in 4 weeks we received an LC error and the drain pump kept running, we would power it off and it would turn itself back on (which was interesting since half of the time we couldn’t power it on due to button issue). We had to shut off the circuit breaker. The error was for a water leak. My husband started looking at reviews and apparently this is a widespread issue. The design for draining is flawed and any moisture will cause this error. We are exchanging it. Best Buy was gracious and one of the sales people said that we were not the first to return this appliance. I was so disappointed because in the first week I really liked its performance. We are waiting for the replacement so I am currently using my high priced dishwasher as a draining rack as I wash my dishes by hand.
After hurricane Sandy I bought all Samsung appliances, I may add that my neighbor also bought same appliances. Within a year, refrigerators both mine and my neighbor was leaking, within 3 years, both our microwaves broke, hmmm coincidence??? Within 3 years also, our shelves in our refrigerators developed stress cracks in all glass shelving supports, within 5 years, my neighbors refrigerator broke, Samsung hasnt honored anything, so she bought a different name. Within 5 years, my dishwasher broke, Samsung dont wanna hear it. I am so disappointed in Samsung that none of their appliances are reliable, and break after 5 years, it cheap in price though! My fridge was 1000, my dishwasher was 700, my stove was 800, my microwave was 400, Samsung said sorry, after 1 year go screw yourself!!
First, when using the center burner/griddle (that was provided with the stove) I am not able to place pans on the other burners. Secondly the Air Fryer is a great feature, perfect for making Buffalo wings without oil, however since the oven is so large it takes longer than a stand alone air fryer. I do love the size of the oven. I can bake a huge Turkey with plenty of room to slide in some large baking potatoes. This stove is a replacement for an electric stove. So happy with our choice. I can regulate cooking temperature on each burner with ease. No burning or over cooking with gas. Baked goods turn out fantastic. Love the ability to use either Bake or Convection Bake.
Approx. 4 yrs ago purchased a Samsung French door fridge. Recently the mullion bar became inoperable. After reviewing possible remedies IT became obvious that a new mullion bar had to be purchased. After purchase was made at a cost of $117.74 I tore the replaced bar apart and discovered the culprit to be a spring in the lower part of the bar. This spring could be made for no more than 50 cents at any reasonably priced manufacturer. I assume that the bar is also made by the Samsung corporation so it would be to their financial benefit to develop this spring as cheaply made as it is, so that additional financial gain could be made by their sale of this bar. My advice to any, who are considering purchasing this refrigerator is BUYER BEWARE.
Terrible, terrible. We purchased this but we didnt install or use it for 12 months. From the initial washing it didnt drain - left nasty water in the bottom of the tub. (Called Lowes/Samsung but we missed the grace period by 2 days.) Had a repairman out twice but he cant fix it. Now Im finding that based on this terrible specimen, do not buy any Samsung dishwasher.
Ive had the refrigerator (RF260BEAESR French door) about 4 years and it works ok. I like the size and especially like the bottom freezer. My complaint is with the finish which is supposed to be stainless steel. I have cleaned it as instructed, taken good care of it. No kids or any influences which would damage the finish. No matter how well we cared for it - it still has spots and streaks and I can see where the finish is worn off so it is spotty and discolored in areas. Its a cheap finish, and if it was really stainless steel it wouldnt stain - but it does. Not happy about that! Samsung used to be a good products but not anymore. I have a Samsung front loader that I hate - clothes dont get clean - takes forever to run a cycle, have to do extra rinse and spin, etc.
I purchased all Samsung appliances after remodeling the kitchen. I did not do my homework and purchased my appliances based on the name. Wrong thing to do. My microwave worked about 14 months and then it had the SE code. I called Samsung and they would not fix it as it was out of warranty. I had it repaired myself. The repair lasted less than 2 months when the microwave quit and the SE code appeared again. So I have used for the past 3 years a reliable counter top microwave while I have the Samsung microwave over the oven and it does not work. Sad. I also purchased the refrigerator, side by side with ice and water in the door. The refrigerator just like the microwave started making this awful noise. It over freezes things no matter the setting. The ice maker quit, and again Warranty so Samsung says its my problem. I thought this was a quality company with quality merchandise. Please read the reviews and do not purchase Samsung. I could kick myself for not purchasing Kenmore. That was what we replaced when we remodeled. Our Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator was almost 30 years old and still worked. Never had a problem with it. My sister took it for herself after we replaced it with the Samsung and three years later it is still running great. I am very upset and totally dissatisfied with my Samsung purchases.
About 3 years ago, our 15 year old GE over the stove microwave was working but seemed slow and dated. We replaced it with a Samsung SMH9187ST that had gotten good reviews. About 6 months into its use, there was a shorting sound and smoke when I pressed the start button. A new control board, fuses, and a couple other parts were replaced under warranty. And since then, we havent had any problems - until two days ago when the keypad stopped functioning. We tried unplugging and plugging in again, but that only worked once and only for about 5 minutes. Then the SE error message came up. I filled out the online service form on Samsungs site and have been sent information about a service company in Florida (I live in Ohio) and instructions on how to send the item back. Really? It looks like about 15 people have posted this same SE problem in the last month, almost everyone out of warranty. So perhaps this is planned obsolescence combined with bad service. It only guarantees that I wont buy another Samsung appliance, though.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I incorrectly thought this would mean quality. We plunked down $3K. Now that it does not work, No repair person will touch it because they cannot obtain replacement parts. You can only use their service center. The original Samsung service center that was recommended is now scheduling appointments for more than a month out. When I complained, they told me they would send me an email to get in touch with a different service center. The young lady that answered was trying her best, but without support from higher ups or Samsung what good is it? This service center has only has one technician Really??? I dont have a refrigerator, dont know if they can fix it or if the parts will be on the service person’s truck, or backordered, or... Still waiting... SAMSUNG WANTS TO SELL BUT DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THEY SELL, then they hold you captive with only their service center and availability of parts.
RF267ABRS - My experience leads me to believe that Samsung refrigerators are junk. They look nice but after a few years, you will have problems. It started with the lower part of the refrigerator filling with water that iced up and leaked onto the hardwoods. I kept having to get ice and water out of the fridge, then it stopped (for now). Next, my ice maker chamber stopped cooling. Theres nothing online about how to fix this (that I could find). I called Samsung but if the fridge is not under 1 year old then they tell me they can set me up with maintenance but I have to pay for it. I had to buy a new washer and dryer and decided it was time to stop giving loyalty to a company that in my opinion, makes things to break. Stick with Samsung TVs, skip the appliance.
I was heart-sick when I read all the horrible reviews for the Samsung refrigerators. I have only had model RS265TDRS for 6 months and it quit cooling 2 days ago. Tried the OnLineChat and was sent by the agent to a Samsung link that extolled how you should NEVER put a thermometer in the refrigerator to see what temp it is. I couldnt believe it. Then I put in a work ticket... and heard NOTHING. As I purchased the extended warranty through Conns the appliance store, they do warranty service as well, and when I heard nothing from Samsung.. I called them. They came out within 48 hours and told me the problem was the plastic cover over the coils, and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get the part. I nearly died. I explained this is my only refrigerator and they didnt seem to care. I agreed and after we plugged up the open spaces around the coils with small strips of quilt batting he left. The cooling element does seem to be working... as the vegetable drawers are 42 degrees... but up on the top shelf it is 60 degrees. How do I know??? I left the horrible thermometer they wanted me to immediately take out... in the unit. Now.... the door is telling me that the refrigerator is 34 degrees... but it is not. I FINALLY got the local service company contact information from them... however... the online chat lady said I had to file a work report with them first and then I could call the repair company directly and give them the work order. So! Lets start a lawsuit.... This is insane... to that poor couple who had been using a cooler for over 30 days... I went online and purchased a small GE fridge that I will keep in the garage... or get one sized for a dorm room... to keep your meds in... I am ready to fight them on this one...
We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model so that the cold cuts and handy things are in a middle drawer. Great features, and electronic controls provide good feedback that all is working. Bright interior LEDs. Ice maker and water dispenser. The functions and features sold it for us. Within months, the door shelves were cracking. We are not abusive, just placing milk. The plastic is brittle. The shelf bottom will crack and the tabs that hold the door can come apart, which drops it on the floor. Had to buy two new shelves. I bought Styrene plastic sheets from a hobby store, cut and sandwiched them to the drawers in weak areas (using MEK), for reinforcement which solved that issue. Never experienced such poor plastic (HIPS) in a $2000 appliance... or even a $500 unit.At about 3 years old, the fridge starts to buzz inside, and ice is visible in the interior back panel. Ice is encroaching on the evaporator fan. I removed the back panel to access the evaporator coil. Solid ice in the upper half of the coil. As if the defrost heater doesnt work. In fact, the defrost heater does work. Could not find any fault in the defrost thermo-disk, and all temperature sensors measured OK. Heater works too (120 Ohms). Changed the defrost thermo-disk anyway and really defrosted and dried out the cover using a hair dryer. Fridge ran fine for 8 months. Repeat. Turns out the defroster only takes care of the lower half of the evaporator coil! Design flaw. Once you start hearing the fan buzzing, the ice is building in the upper half of the evaporator coil. Once the fan gets stopped, everything including the styrofoam turns into a block of ice. You can thaw out the styrofoam and remove the ice. Or replace that back cover and styrofoam until another humid time when it will freeze up again (design flaw). Ive now defrosted it manually about 6 or 7 times, using every opportunity to measure and determine why this is happening. Ive checked all on-line videos and advice to solve these freeze up issues and attempted those that make sense (cause-effect). I have a power datalogger monitoring the fridge electrical consumption so I can evaluate how often and for how long it defrosts. Taken it on as a riddle.I did contact Samsung early in this process. They sounded concerned, but when the customer service rep check with their manager, they stated I must have been abusive to cause plastic to crack. No warranty. Yeah right. Im gluing everything together. Today, another roller wheel broke off... glued it back on. The freeze issues started right after warranty. Glad I can trouble shoot and fix myself, else the cost would be crazy. Now Im looking at modifications to prevent the evap coil from freezing up again. Whether you are a technical person or not... its not worth the trouble.... Dont let Samsung glitz sucker you in! It is a lemon. Wife hates it too.
2500.00 wasted. Samsung would not repair/replace our 3 year old refrigerator that had compressor failure due to what they call physical damage. Micro holes in the copper lines to the compressor caused the compressor to fail. Samsung claims the sulfur in the air of our house caused the failure. The warranty is 5 years parts and labor, 10 years parts. They charged us 100.00 to diagnose the problem. We talked them down from 200.00 because we already had a repair man confirm the compressor failed. He stated that the copper lines are really thin and cheap. Samsung had to have their own people check it. We do have well water but it is treated and we never hooked up the water to the refrigerator. Samsungs recommendation to us was to coat the lines with a good paint to protect them. We did not have any issues with the Whirlpool refrigerator we had prior to this Samsung. Has anyone else had a similar problem? We think the warranty should have mentioned an exclusion for sulfur in the air and we think they should honor the warranty. We will not purchase Samsung products ever again, poor customer service.
Im envious of the other reviewer who had to wait for major problems after 4 years. Weve owned our French Door model costing approx. $2,600 for 2 years. Repaired ice maker 3 times and now it just gave up, spewing metal parts into the ice tray. The attached photo shows what you can expect to find in your ice. Samsungs Indian Service Dept. just says were so sorry, please upload photos and we will contact you. 4 weeks in, no response despite many phone calls. Do not waste your time calling Samsung service. Buy an appliance from a company that at least pretends to care e.g GE or Kitchen Aid. Too bad, it looks beautiful and has all the features we wanted, but its garbage.
Ive come from a string of GE refrigerators that always seemed to disappoint me in one way or another. Most of the problems were related to not holding the desired temperature in both refrigerator and freezer compartments. I also experienced problems with excess moisture in the freezer compartment and ice makers/ice water dispensers that never worked properly. The water dispenser always froze up unless I raised the temperature to an unsafe level. Very poor design. The Samsung French door unit has worked perfectly for about 1 1/2 years, but it does make a lot of strange noises. So far this appears to be a quality unit that works as expected.
We bought a new Samsung refrigerator at the end of 2014. Less than six months after purchasing the ice maker started leaking etc. The same problem everyone else is complaining about. Had it fixed several times and finally gave up. So we bought an expensive refrigerator and had to buy ice 90 percent of the last four years.
After 2 years, we started having trouble with our Samsung double door refrigerator freezing up. We had a technician out to fix it and he replaced the whole back panel. It worked for a couple of months and then began to freeze up again. The same technician came out again and we were chatting about what was happening and he suddenly realized the problem was that when you close the front doors, the piece that seals between the doors was no longer turning properly in the slot to seal between the doors, but rather just staying straight ahead leaving an opening where warm air could enter and the fridge would work overtime. He said there is a piece that often doesnt get installed when the fridge is delivered that keeps this from happening and over time the left door had moved down slightly causing the piece to not turn correctly. It was a simple fix to the left door raising it slightly so that the doors are now sealing properly. So far the fridge seems to be working better. I hope this helps someone else having these issues.
Biggest piece of crap on earth. The plate above the veggie drawers is 2 plastic inserts that cannot be removed. If anything liquid spills or a fine powder spills it seeps under the plastic. NO ** WAY TO CLEAN IT. NONE. NADA. I have never seen such stupidity and horrific lack of cleanability in any refrigerator in 60 years. IT IS A PIECE OF **. The back wall freezes anything near it. Water drips under the large drawer and freezes. This is the second Samsung fridge I have had (it was a replacement for the first one that was so bad they were forced to replace it.) I will never ever purchase anything from this crap company. No customer service, horrible appliances (think exploding phones) and no one at the company cares.
Samsung model RE266AEPN froze up right at one year old and my wife noticed a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. They had a company replace the evap cover and defrost sensor, which so far has cured the freeze up problem. They refused to replace the tray because we must have broken it. Ive owned a lot of refrigerators in my 70 years. This is the first that Ive ever broken in years. Also, youve got to be careful in opening the Cool Select pantry. The cover is narrower than the opening and if its not centered in the opening, one end will pop out of its attachment. Im sure they would say thats our fault also!
Bought July 2016. Now 3 1/2 years old. Called because freezer was not freezing while refrigerator still worked. Day before tech came found ice on inside wall of refrigerator. Tech said two problems. Ice on the wall is a little problem. Freezer is big problem. I would have to pay for the little problem and warranty would cover freezer. GREAT worth fixing. Freezer had a Freon leak. Suppose to be covered. After working on and discussing with manager he said they wont warranty it, there are many leaks in copper tubing and corrosion on compression. Said it was due to environmental reasons maybe humidity. Crazy we built our house 30 years ago and put in a Sears Kenmore refrigerator. It lasted 27 years without any repairs, replaced because of color. No leaks. No corrosion. Was still working. My house has copper tubing plumbing. I havent had a leak in 30 years. Other appliances replaced washing machine 1 time during the 30 years and I am on 3rd dishwasher (once to update color once because I tripped and fell on door bending the hinges). In fact I bought the dishwasher around same time as Samsung refrigerator and it is still going. Only the Samsung refrigerator rotted out in 3 years. Not one p problem two problems on this Samsung in 3 years. Search sealant leaks, Freon leaks. You will find it is not uncommon for relatively new Samsung refrigerators.
I have brand new house. I bought all Samsung appliances. The dishwasher started smoking and leaking. I call Best Buy to file a complaint. They told me I should call Samsung. I did call Samsung to file a complaint about dishwasher and damages to my floor. They sent out a technician to repair dishwasher and for me to take pictures of damages. Technician came out 4 times before he said it could not be fixed and just tell Samsung to replaced. When I received credit from Best Buy, I BOUGHT AN LG DISHWASHER. I will never buy a Samsung product again. They have yet to replace my floor. I call twice a week. They keep transferring me to ESR team that says it is being handle in upper management and they dont have a number for them or their insurance company number.
Refrigerator freezer freezes up one block of ice. It quits cooling for the second time. The serviceman came out. The whole back of the freezer was one block of ice. He replaced one small part and said it was fine. Now, it didnt last two weeks. It did the same thing. This refrigerator is 11 months old and still under warranty. I called today and was put on hold for an hour. Finally, I was told the serviceman would come out again. I think I got a lemon.
We have had two Samsung refrigerators since we moved and left our first one behind. Ours is a 2015 Samsung French Door Model RF30HBEDBSR. Love the pull out drink drawer and the easy outside access door.
Purchased a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator and a Flex Wash washer and dryer 8 months ago. Since then have had the refrigerator ice maker freeze up about every 2 weeks. The fridge has been repaired with ice maker replaced 4 times. Now the washing machine has an error code that Samsung cannot find anyone to fix. Samsung does not offer refunds even though their appliances are junk but does offer replacements. (Oh yay) Samsung guaranteed delivery/replacement in 10 days. This is day 12 with no communication from Samsung. Many hours spent on the phone with Samsung, 4 service trips for the ice maker and now a guaranteed time frame on a replacement that did not happen. Samsung does not care about its customers and sells expensive appliances they do not support. Stay away from these and all Samsung appliances!
We bought a SAMSUNG dishwasher only to find out that there is no heating element in the dishwasher - by design! Who in their right mind designs a dishwasher that does not also dry the dishes? When I spoke to a SAMSUNG representative, her solution was to wait until the wash cycle ends and then prop the door open to let the steam escape.
Samsung very good but not great. Ice maker is problematic, water filter replacing can be messy, water lines can back up and freeze. I suspect these are the same type of issues with any 2 door, front water accessible refrigerator.
My stove is really great. I especially love the center eye which is longer and used for grilling. Also the self cleaning oven which really does a good job. I can put the eye covers in my dishwasher to clean them if they get greasy.
My home burned in 2014. On purchasing a new home, I chose Samsung appliances, including the range - a 4 burner gas model with a grill in the center. It also has a food warmer. After 6 years of use, I have had no problems and very much enjoy cooking on this range.
All their refrigerators have a design flaw in their ice maker. Its guaranteed to fail. They know this and still sell it. It freezes over. The refrigerator temperature goes up and makes the food unsafe and some end up leaking on the floor. The new ones with the display even caught fire. Mine broke 3 months after I bought it. The first time. I just had the ice maker parts replaced again. They still not have not found a repair for it that actually works. Their customer service is rude and tries everything not to help and make you go away. Even leave you on hold for hours.
I purchased a Samsung Oven (Model # NE595ROABSR-AA) on 1/18/2013 for $906.00. On 2/16/14 the convection fan motor and sensor went bad. I was told it was out of warranty by less than 30 days and I would have to pay out of pocket. I paid $168.00 to replace it. On 2/6/2015 the convection motor went out again. I had to pay for a service call to replace it. Now on 8/24/2015, the service light is coming on again. I am being told by the technician that the motherboard is out and will cost $200.00 to repair. I have been on the phone with Samsung for 43 minutes so far and am being told that it is my problem. We had a Kenmore oven for 27 years without one service call and it still works great. We simply bought the new one for aesthetics and I wish I would have never bought a Samsung. THEY ARE JUNK!!!
I got the dreaded SE after only 5 years of use. I went on YouTube and watched a fix which I did and it worked fine for a couple more months...then the SE came back and repeated the fix today. After being out all day, I came home to find it turning the oven the stove light from hi to low to off by itself. I am very disappointed in this product. I had an earlier, smaller countertop, one that lasted over 10 years! I will not invest in another Samsung kitchen product.
Samsung French Door Refrigerator - Model # RF263BEAESR/AA - BEWARE ----> BAD PRODUCT & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ----> SAMSUNG. $2,000 refrigerator with ice maker that has not worked properly since day one. Samsung warranty repaired twice in first year. Ice maker would work for a week or two then frost up and leak water on inside, collect then leak out doors making a mess all over floor. After several frustrating calls to Samsungs resolution department I received another service call outside of warranty (1 year) to replace several parts and defrost element. This did not fix the problem and ice maker frosted up a couple weeks later. Requested service AGAIN and waited 1 month without a response. Finally was told Samsung would not repair or service further and I should contact a service center to pay for another repair. Note: Service techs both told me the icemakers are a HUGE PROBLEM for Samsung. What a freaking joke! Samsung is making a piece of crap and is failing to support and/or correct this. HOPE AN ATTORNEY THAT BUYS ONE OF THEIR BAD REFRIGERATORS FILES A CLASS-ACTION SUIT. UNTIL THEN ------> DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG
Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?
Worked fine for the first 6 months then had a breakdown. My repairman had to order the part, from the manufacturer. They were out of that part, then when it came in the part was the wrong one. Long story short we did not have a refrigerator for 5 weeks.
We have a Samsung 3 door fridge with a bottom freezer (Model RF217ACPN) which has been leaking water into the crisper ever since we bought it. The first year we had it, it started to leak water and Samsung sent a service man out to fix it. He fixed it but months later it started to leak again. After he fixed it, 3 weeks later it leaked again. Samsung has paid for all of these repairmen at a cost of $200.00 a visit. When we call Customer Service about a refund or replacement we get stonewalled. They will not even let us talk to anyone higher than a customer service rep. We are very frustrated as they say their tech dept. has to deem this unit as having a factory defect. I dont know, and they cant tell me, how this is determined. They have already spent almost the original price of the fridge in repair bills but refuse to make this whole thing right. We are done with Samsung and will not buy anything from them unless they resolve this matter to our satisfaction!
Bought the refrigerator brand new. It worked great for about a year then one day it wouldnt keep items cold. Turn out the freezer was too full. It was a large capacity freezer that did not actually accommodate a large amount of food.
I bought a new fridge five days ago, with a lower freezer, model RF4287HARS. It was plugged in by the delivery tech and set to specific settings. The same day, water began to build in the vegetable bin. We cleaned it and shortly afterwards, moisture was building up. Samsung is lame at acknowledging fault and the extended warranty is quick to remind me that the manufacturer warranty is in effect. I will drop this pretty, but lame product made by Samsung, in the store today.
Besides the problem we are having with Samsung refrigerator, customer service department is a nightmare, in 10 days they called me to send same document that I already sent. Every time I called, I was given different information. I really dont know which one is true now.
I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, stove and microwave. Within a year of purchase I had to repair the microwave and dishwasher. Up until that point they were good. Appliance Problems. Beware before purchasing.
We purchase a Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RS265TD less than two years ago. The whole unit shut down today and we lost most of our food. A technician came out, said the control board was gone and would have to be replaced for $411! Tried to get through to Samsung with no luck. The technician said Samsung was the worst units that he works on. When we first got the refrigerator almost 2 years ago it took them almost 3 weeks to get the ice maker tubes attached. This is unacceptable. These appliances should last at least 10 years with no problems. We will never purchase a Samsung again.
We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!
We have had our stove oven and microwave combo since January 2015. And in that short time our oven has broken 2 times and microwave just broke! It’s less than 3 years old!!! What happened to those stove and ovens we had for 8-10 years before they showed any distress?!! The numbers and info on the stove wiped off years ago, and now we GUESS what burner we are using and at what temp. Worst brand ever! Worst stove set we ever bought! Wish we did our homework and seen these bad reviews first.
We purchased this dishwasher (Samsung DMR77 Stainless Dishwasher) about 2 years ago, paid $800 for it. It has never cleaned right from the beginning. After a couple of months, the stainless front door panel started pitting. I contacted the company and they tried to make it my fault. Now, the motor is making this high pitched noise that is very irritating. I suspect the motor bearings are shot. I replaced a 10-year-old Maytag machine that was still working fine. My wife wanted to remodel the kitchen and go with stainless, so we bought a Samsung stainless refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. This dishwasher is a piece of junk and I am going to toss it and buy a Whirlpool for about 40 percent less than I paid for this junk. I will never buy a Samsung product again.
We bought a Samsung dishwasher about 4 years ago. Thankfully we also purchased the 5 year warranty. About 3 months ago it started acting up, wouldnt finish the wash cycle. The repairman replaced the sensors, one of them twice. Then he replaced the whole pump assembly unit. He ran the dishwasher while he was here, everything was fine. The next time we ran it, water leaked out of the pump assembly and ruined my laminate flooring. They ordered another pump assembly and installed it a few days ago. It ran through a cycle no problem. Last night the pump kicked on, opened the door and the pump still ran. Held the power button down, it turned off then right back on. Had to flip the breaker to turn it off. Took a week and a second call to hear back from someone on the damaged floor. Still no resolution for the non working dishwasher or damaged floor.
Samsung DMT300RFW/XAA Dishwasher - A little over two years old and I am getting ready to cart this piece of junk out to the street for the trash collector! The unit never performed at the levels promised. Dishes were left dirty and spotted if used in the normal mode. Per Samsung techs, we were told to use the high energy sanitize mode (so much for the low energy use sales pitch)! Last night, the dishwasher started making electrical sparking noises and producing an electrical smell. We contacted a half dozen reputable local repair companies and nobody is authorized to work on Samsung. The closest authorized place is a TV repair company 30 miles away! We have a million people in South Orange County and not one authorized repair company? Were never going to buy another Samsung product!
Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Fridge is 23 months old. Started making a loud racket when opening door, stops then when door closed starts up again. Drive one nuts as really really loud. Then it stopped after a few hours of off and on. Suddenly the temps on front (digital readouts) started flashing? Book said pull power plug, wait ten minutes, then plug back in. Did so, and the temps just climbed up...was up to 69 degrees F in Fridge and up in Freezer as well. Left it sit for a while, called Samsung Cust. service (if you can call it that). They asked a few questions and then said, Oh, you have a ONE year warranty, sorry. I said WHOA --- there is three years on SOME parts and TEN YEARS on compressor. Do YOU know exactly what is wrong? They then said, wait one minute --- then came back and said, WE HAVE NO ONE IN YOUR AREA THAT IS A SAMSUNG REP. --- so sorry, you may want to call your own repair person (response came via e mail). I drove eight miles to HOME DEPOT where we bought the fridge (for nearly two thousand dollars) and the woman there got on the phone to Samsung on my behalf. After a long wait, she was told I would be getting a call in the next TWO days to schedule a tech to look at the refrigerator. So far, no call. All of a sudden, the fridge began to cool OK again... Maybe sounds like a computer board??? Still waiting for a call. I would never buy another Samsung, after getting the comments from the southern gal at Customer Service. I did finally speak to a supervisor (Shawn) who said, Oh, we have a guy that can check it out north of you... and gave me his number. I called the number --- voice said, the voicemail box for this number is FULL -- good bye. Whole episode is a JOKE and I have spent two + hours on the phone PLUS driving to Home Depot. I will avoid ANY SAMSUNG product after this response!!!
We purchased our refrigerator July 3, 2012 from Lowes. 5 years to the date it quit working over night, woke up the next morning and all my food in top part refrigerator was spoiled and bottom freezer was thawed. Called repairman to come out and take a look at it, about all he had to say was to unplug it and waituntil tomorrow morning it should cool down and start working again. The repairman at the house for 5 minutes and 75.00 dollar for the service call to tell me to unplug it. It did cool down and started working, restock the refrigerator. But 7 days later it went down again. We unplug again but still not working so, once again we had to deal with spoiled and lost food. The consumer are right. Samsung Refrigerator is a piece of crap. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.
We are enjoying cooking, broiling, baking, and roasting with our new Samsung stove/oven! The convection features are great, too. This oven does a great job with potatoes, roasted meats, broiled meats, and baked items. Highly recommend!
Model rs25h5111ww - We like the refrigerator but the ice/water dispenser could have been better designed by a 5 year old. Other than removing the entire ice box inside the freezer, there is no way to reach in and get a handful of ice. In general this ice/water dispenser really, really sucks.
I purchased the fridge on the 6th march 2012. All was ok for about 3 months, then the water dispenser valve stopped working. The door would not close properly, had to manually close it. It has been repaired twice and door still broken. Not good enough dont understand why they won’t replace it...
I have had my refrigerator for just over four years and luckily only serviced once. I only purchased a four year warranty (Lowes) unfortunately and now my ice button does not work. I also do not have all the door shelves having the first one break within 6 months of purchase. It looks as if this product is a piece of crap and my money would be better spent in saving for a replacement.
I remodeled my kitchen 4 years ago and purchased all new Samsung appliances. They were magnificent looking! However, the microwave touch panel malfunctioned after just a few months and went completely black... no lights. Samsung repaired it due to a recall on the panel. Now four years later it is out again! I had to purchase a new microwave today... NOT SAMSUNG. The range already has one malfunctioning burner so now Im down to 3 burners. The refrigerators ice maker stopped working after 7 months.... cost $450 to replace. Samsung only guarantees the ice maker for 5-6 months. Only Samsung repair people can fix your appliances because no one else can get the necessary parts, so the repair charge is double that of other appliance repair businesses. The dishwasher cleans horribly and leaves grit in EVERY glass/cup. The welded stainless steel walls of the dishwasher came apart and my husband had to repair them with rivets. I refuse to spend another dime repairing Samsung products. I will gradually replace them when they break completely. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG!!!
We bought a Samsung suite of appliances: stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Within the first week or so, there was a burn mark on the door frame on the microwave. We tried to clean it, but it was definitely a burn mark. After a day or so, we noticed the mark getting larger, so we called Lowes, who directed us to Samsung. Samsung took about two weeks, and after many emails and photos sent in to them, they finally sent out a repair tech to look at the issue. The tech also took photos, and stated that the door frame was out of alignment and not flush, and that he could only see this mark growing. He advised not to use the microwave due to stray waves escaping, which were causing the burning on the door frame. We then had to contact customer service repeatedly to obtain a replacement product. Many more calls to coordinate with Lowes, and finally, we went to pick up our unit and found out that what Samsung told us and what Lowes wanted were two different things. Samsung did not send in the right paperwork, so Lowes would not release the replacement unit to us even though we had uninstalled the first one and brought it with us to the Lowes store. Back into the car it went, and more calls and emails.During this series of emails, the Samsung customer service person offered to pay us up to $150 for installation and re-installation of the unit. We followed her directions, and we went to pick up the replacement unit again from Lowes. This time, the exchange went fine. We mailed in the invoices for the uninstall and the re-install, as per instructions. Then the waiting and the follow-up emails started. No reply from any of them. We sent in regular emails over a long period of time. I like the Samsung refrigerator. They can keep the dishwasher, and the stove is just okay. The microwave seems fine now. After this entire experience, I would not recommend any Samsung products to anyone we know, unless they can service them themselves.
I bought the Samsung dual flex because of the flex zones which seemed amazing. Well, let me tell you, the thing is very difficult to use. No more just turning the knob and having the oven on. Everything requires several steps which is frustrating when you are busy cooking and dont have a whole minute to program the oven. It seems petty until you are doing it.Worse is the lack of quality. My previous range was a 30 year old JennAir. A burner went out and the repair was $120. I should have repaired it. This Samsung is junk. We only cook 1-2 times per week with the stove (have an electric pressure cooker and infrawave we use a lot) and my son was trying to turn on the burner and it made a loud pop, the lights in the house flickered and it tripped the 50 amp breaker! I called Samsung right away. Their service center is in Compton, that Compton, and their service people treat you like you would expect to be treated in Compton based on the citys reputation. The guy told me to unplug the stove. I told him it would be a minute because I put a silicone bead between the stove and the counter so spills dont get under my stove and I would need a minute to razor that before moving the stove. The guy told me THAT was what broke the stove. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with sealing the stove and counter to stop the mess but a professional service person did that at my old house and it was amazing. And I have done it since because counter spills running between the stove and counter are gross. And there is no way a paper thin silicone bead on the outside edge of the stove and counter top seam would cause the stove to make a loud pop and then trip a breaker.A few days later someone calls me to come look at it. I thought I was covered at least under parts warranty. Nope! Nothing. $150 for someone to show up and then whatever the parts cost. The fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on this item should be a big red flag. This is the second Samsung appliance to let me down. I bought a Samsung fridge a while back and it was DOA. I ended up with a Whirlpool I hate because I let them haul the old fridge away and then had a fridge full of food spoiling and they offered to deliver the Whirlpool floor model in the next half hour. So 2 for 2 on the Samsungs being crap. And their service is horrible!! Im almost wondering if they are not using prison slave labor. When they call you it is a Compton number they call from. The way their customer service people talk to you and dont care at all prison labor would make sense.
In 2011, we bought a Samsung dishwasher and French door refrigerator. The dishwasher had problems from the first month, with basket clips breaking, and jamming the jets. They knew this was a widespread problem, but wouldnt switch out our unit. I left negative feedback on their site, which they removed (it was all factual), and sent me a warning email that they would ban me from commenting again. I switched it for an LG (no problems at all). Now, the fridge isnt working. It started making a loud rattling noise this afternoon, and a quick online search showed me that there is a class action lawsuit against them because the twin cooling system freezes over, and your fridge/freezer no longer cool/freeze. This company is a joke. Dont give them your money. Customer service is the worst, and they dont care if the product fails.
Spent $7000 on all new appliances 6 years ago. Microwave went out 2nd yr. Dishwasher went out 3rd year, refrigerator on 5th year, now front load washer on 6th year. Will never buy another Samsung product. We are 68 years old, no kids so you know we hardly use products. Shame on their junk, nothing covered by warranties.
Samsung refrigerators with IceMaster ice maker are a piece of junk. We have had to empty and defrost our refrigerator every one to two months. Samsung does not stand by their product. Now there is a class action suit but who has time for that. I now need to buy new refrigerator. I have already paid $450 to replace the ice maker once. It now Been another year of frustration and they say I have to pay one again. I am not putting another dime into this piece of junk.
Samsung RF 32 double door refrigerator - I have been in contact with Samsung about a common problem with a failure on our ice maker, even though it is in several complaint chats and is noted by Samsung as they offer a $700.00 improved replacement part with a bigger fan to accommodate the heat from the motor. Samsungs support line will not authorize the repair thru there designated representative company that also says that it should be covered. The appliance repair company told me to ask for a one-time acceptance allowance and I am still being denied. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN.
The freezer portion of the French door Samsung is small as the water/ice dispenser takes up too much space. The other side is also small but not as small as the freezer section.
We bought a Samsung gas stove about a year ago. We had it less than six months and one knob broke. Then last week a second one broke. We love the stove but the knobs need to be replaced and Im not happy they lasted such a short time. Is this pretty standard with these knobs?
I have had the worst experience with my FIRST and LAST Samsung purchase. My fridge like many others has the issue of the drain tube freezing causing water to drain into your vegetable drawers and under the drawers. It took me a few months to determine this was actually the fridge causing this and not my kids with water bottles. The first agent I spoke to said well why did you wait so long to call, it’s not like this started yesterday. After explaining that I initially thought my kids were placing open water bottles and they were spilling, I was told that I was not covered under warranty as my unit was made in 2014 even though I didnt purchase it till 2015. The agent asked me for proof of purchase and even after I explained it was purchased from a lease to own I was assured that if I had not had the unit for 2 years I would be covered. I sent in my proof of purchase then was told it was not valid and they needed my lease agreement. I again was assured that once that was sent in that Executive Relations has given the go ahead to cover this issue at no cost. I sent in the lease agreement as requested to then be told that I was OOO since the unit was manufactured in 2014 even after I was told they would cover it. I have spoken to several advisors and not one has been able to locate the previous notes on what has been told to me. This has now been an ongoing back and forth for the last 3 weeks. This is a well-known issue on this model and it’s beyond disappointing that a company like Samsung does not rectify the issue when a customer calls in concerning this WELL KNOWN ISSUE. After 3 weeks of back and forth calling I now have to wait another 24-48 hours for the service company to call me and then I still dont know if I will be covered for this issue. I will not ever purchase a Samsung product just in the fact that they are not willing to make things right with a first time customer with a known issue. Customer service goes a long long way and unfortunately Samsung has proven Im replaceable and dont need me as a customer.
Two months after buying a brand new side by side Samsung refrigerator, a fan blade broke and the sound was very loud. It took Samsung 10 days to find a technician to come to the house. The gentlemen discovered the defected blade and was quite surprised being that it was only two months old. He suspected a manufacturers defect and he ordered the part, but it would take several days. In the meantime, we had lost the food in the freezer and refrigerator. I then called Samsungs customer service and explained everything as it happened. She was not very sympathetic and said that the part was on its way and thats the best that they could do. It was a major purchase for us and we felt cheated. Will think twice before buying another Samsung appliance!
Ive only had my Samsung dishwasher a month and I am in love. Im so glad I chose Samsung! Its so quiet that I can actually run it while I still have company without being disturbed. It cleans wonderfully and my contents are actually dry at the end of the cycle.
Samsung Dishwasher does finish washing - stops at delicate cycle. We bought this Samsung Dishwasher in 2014 because we were remodeling an whole house. We moved in December and I used the dishwasher at Christmas. In 2015 probably around the 7th month the dishwasher would not complete a cycle. We had purchased insurance from Lowes, so we called for service. The technician came out and fixed the problem by adjusting the control panel. Six months later, same problem. Called Lowes they have a contract with A&E Services (worst company you could deal with). It took about a week to come out. The tech came and said we need a part (a latch) in which I knew this was not the problem. He said he would order the part and be back in two weeks. We all know it doesnt take that long for a part. Nevertheless, I waited. The tech came installed the part, started the machine and then left.Sure enough, the problem was not solved. I have been waiting over two weeks for them to come back. They pretend they would be back the same day but never showed but they schedule me two days later. Never showed. Called A&E and they said they were having technical difficulties and could not reach anyone. This went on for two days. Called this pass Monday and they schedule me for today, August, 25. The appointment was for a.m. but I called and they said I would be his last appointment. He probably won’t show. Lowes said they would give me 40%, which would only be about $240. or so. We spend 600 because it was on sale. This dishwasher has not been used a lot. Very disappointed in all three companies.
Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17. Freezer stopped working in 4/2019. Samsung said they would do a 1 X free parts - I would have to pay labor (or vice versa). Warranty was up (less than 2 years since purchase). They entered a wrong phone on service request - not just a wrong number but something made up like: 12345678 which cancelled my appointment because service provider could not reach me. Called them back and they told me they were sorry and because of this they would also pay both the labor and parts. Meanwhile I had researched what could have been wrong and found quite a few google answers that people experienced same thing and it was the evaporator motor. I relayed that to service provider so if they brought that part it would be fixed sooner than later. (Side note at this point we also had to buy a freezer so all the food we stocked up on during pandemic didnt end up in the garbage). They fixed it. Several months later both the refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called Samsung and immediately was told I would have to pay for repair. I questioned it ONLY. But was prepared to pay the $99 for a diagnostic. They put in service ticket and then noticed days later it was cancelled? I called them and they said we cancelled it because you refused to pay. I never refused to pay?!I ended up called the service provider - they sorted it out and I paid them $99 for house call. They diagnosed it as needing some kind of sealer and refrigerant and Samsung has lengthened the time of the warranty of that particular problem (probably must be an ongoing issue). They had to come back a week later. I was also told - it may or may not work. Sure enough end of May freezer died. Service provider could not come out until the 11th of June. Beginning of beginning of June 2020 refrigerator died as well. Had to throw out all perishables. So we got less than 3 years use. One correction - I communicated with Samsung through their CHAT option. I ended up cancelling the appointment today 6/9/20 and taking the loss and ordering a different brand that wont be delivered until 7/13/20. Horrible experience with this refrigerator. Purchase date: 6/10/2017 - Garbage date: 6/9/20.
I wish I had reviewed this fridge when it first became apparent at how bad it was. Might have saved some folks purchasing one. It is French Doors with bottom freezer, about 4-1/2 years old. The first thing that we noticed was at 1 year old, the stainless was spotted. We are 2 retired people, no kids here. Used stainless cleaner to no avail. Called Samsung, they said they dont warranty the stainless. 2nd thing was a flap on the door broke because we didnt always open or close the right door first...never knew until this happened, and figured it out. That was over $300. Now, in the last 9 months the ice maker has gone out 3 times. Had it fixed for about $250. Less than 3 months later it went out again. The repair company fixed it as a warranty issue. Now, 6 months later...out again. Waiting for an answer from the repair company, but they only guarantee a repair for 3 months, and dont know if Samsung will do anything. I will not pay for another ice maker. Will start over with another brand...never a Samsung. Anything!!! So disappointed!
I purchased a Samsung FlexZone a year ago. Over the past few months it has been shutting down. First the freezer got warm then the bottom fridge got warm and now the whole thing is at sixty degrees and we are throwing out food. I have had a tech out and have a diagnosis. Every time I call Samsung to have them set up a tech to come out and fix it I get, We will call you in one to three days. And thats as far as it goes... Now Im without a fridge. You need to stand behind your product.
Horrible. Everything people are saying here rings true. I had trouble with the electronics panel from Day 1. The timer would not turn off properly, and Samsung did finally send a tech, who did nothing. A year in, I was baking and was unable to shut down the oven because the control panel wouldnt work. I had to throw the circuit breaker to get the oven to stop broiling! I believe I figured that the problem is that the panel gets nuts when it gets too hot since it was ok after the oven cooled down in 15 minutes. Some oven --- aaaaargh!
Hello, we purchased the Samsung 30.5 CuFt French Door Refrigerator Stainless Steel Model Number RF31FMESBSR in June 2013. It looks like there is some manufacturing defect as we see the water leakage and rust on the backside of the refrigerator. Thus anyone else is facing similar issues? We had 1-year manufacturer warranty and 60 months protection plan from Home Depot; however, in this specific issue it was a little difficult to notice the problem since it was on the backside of the refrigerator and as you know how many people go and look at the backside of the refrigerator once its install. As per the Samsung service company, other consumers also had similar issues. However, Samsung is not taking any actions to resolve the issue citing the refrigerator is out of warranty.
Its easy to use, easy instructions, well-made and will likely last for years, I like using it and others will, too. The dish inside is stable and can hold several items at the same time. You can put hot or cold items in it. I recommend it.
We purchased a Samsung microwave (SMH8165ST) and installed it over the stove. It worked fine for several years but now it comes on and stays on. Weve come into the kitchen to discover it running and after we turn it off, it is extremely hot. The high heat concerns us so we now unplug it whenever we are not actively using it. We will be buying a new microwave but it wont be a Samsung.
I have Samsung three year old appliances - microwave, dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. The ice maker on my refrigerator is shot. My microwave got the dreaded 5E error. I checked out what it meant on the internet. Found a video for a quick fix. Tried that. It lasted two days now Im having problems with it beeping and telling me to set the power level and turn it on. The 5E code has to do with moisture affecting the display panel. If youre going to make an over the range microwave make it sturdier. Of course theres going to be steam from cooking going up in to the microwave. Samsung should repair this problem for no charge. Not happy at all with these appliances. I wish I would have stuck with Kenmore!! Thank you.
I ordered Samsung Gas Range, Model NX58H9500WS/AA from Plessers on April 4th, 2016. In two months, the surface burn grates cracked. I filed a claim, to my dismay, the customer service is the worst ever I had dealt with. I was asked to send the pictures of the defect parts and the receipts. I sent what they asked for on June 20th. Until today, I did not hear a word. I just called and was told that the burner grates and the cap are not covered. The gas range is quite expensive. I cannot believe that the burn grates cracked in two months. The workmanship is extremely poor.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP in 7/2010 from PC Richards. The extend warranty I purchased has ended and the rubber sealant on my doors is just peeling off. I called Samsung to let them know that is not common for a 3 year old refrigerator and was told that the manufacture warranty of one year was over. I told them this is a workmanship issue. You would not expect the rubber sealant to be peeling off for no reason on both my french doors and my freezer. I escalated my call to the Executive Relationship Department and was basically told it was my problem and they could schedule me for an out of warranty appointment that I would have to pay for or I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus warranty plan that would then cover the repair. I am disgusted with the reply from Samsung. A basically new refrigerator not even four years old should not be coming apart like that especially when its not an exposed area. Im writing this review because I suspect that I am not the only one with this issue.
We bought all new Samsung appliances upon moving into a new house, the washing machine has a defective motor in less than 2 years and the refrigerator has been repaired twice. Will never buy Samsung products again.
On Friday 4/14/17 my 1 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator had iced up so I unplugged it and defrosted it. Upon start up the display and controls did not work so I called Samsung service. Samsung service supposedly set up a service appointment for the unit to be service Monday morning (they gave me a reference number). I took off work only to get a call from a repair company to set up an appointment. I asked to be transferred to Samsung. A Samsung employee answered and after I started telling her my problem she hung up. I called back and Jose answered this time. He spoke broken/heavily accented English and after being no help in getting a repair person out today, I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He put me on hold, came back after 5 minutes and said he was forwarding me to a manager. After waiting another 5 minutes on line Samsungs system cut me off. I called back a third time and the only thing they did for me was to contact a repair company to set up an appointment. I lost 4 hours of pay waiting on the service that never came. Samsung has poor products and even poorer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.
My Samsung dishwasher DMT300 was purchased in 2011. It broke. Heating sensor needs to be replaced. It costs me $245.00! I purchased this along with a Samsung refrigerator and that broke as well in less than 6 MONTHS! Samsung tech arrived and fix it. Thank God it was still under warranty! I had a Maytag dishwasher that was once repaired due to wear and tear but it lasted 12 1/2 years! I called Samsung at 1 800 726 7864 and they will not pay for anything since it is no longer under warranty. Even the repair technician advised me not to purchased Samsung appliances. We are on a fixed income. We trusted that Samsung brand will last at least 7-10 years! It is very upsetting to invest your money at something worthless! I will never ever purchase a Samsung product!
Samsung fridge leaks water inside freezer, so there’s always a layer of ice under the crisper. Known problem, hundreds of reviews, but Samsung will do nothing to resolve. Additionally, Samsung changed the design of their fridge water filters. Faulty design, they don’t fit - see hundreds of reviews. Transferred numerous times, dropped call, and foreign reps that barely speak English. Samsung refuses to accept a return because it has been more than 14 days of receipt of the defective filters. Really? Like I’m going to remove a good water filter from my fridge to check if the new one will fit? We will never buy another Samsung product.
Bottom of oven blistered and flaked off in less than 90 days. When I contacted Samsung for warranty work, they wanted to charge me as they consider this cosmetic damage. How do classify the failure of your enamel bond as cosmetic damage? Samsung is living down to its diminishing reputation. I will never buy another Samsung product.
