We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in November 2013. In the last 6 months water is accumulating in my produce drawers. I thought a hose was not connected correctly. Sad to say that was not the case. We spent 1200.00 on this fridge and after reading that others are having the same issues something needs to be done. CLASS ACTION SUIT. (Model # RF217ACRS).

I called twice in 6 months on the same problem. The first time was in addition to setting up a contact for an authorized repair person to come out. I was told that the problem was that the drain line was frozen and they suggested that I let the refrigerator and freezer completely thaw and this should take care of the problem. I did this for 4 hours with both doors open. I may have solved the issue for 4-5 days, but it returned. On my second call, I went through the same information again. This time I went through with having the authorized repair person. I took the day off to accommodate their window of availability. When the repair person arrived, he already knew what the issue was. He did remove one crisper tray and acknowledged that he could see where the water was coming from. He then told me that there is an upgrade that is out that will fix the problem. When asked, he told me that it would not be covered by warranty because it was an upgrade and not a fix. He was here for 10 minutes, which included his paperwork being done. They charged me $76.00 and then proceeded to tell me that the parts and labor would be $116.00; however, the parts are on back-order and so the repairs would not be done until October and this is September 11th. This, coupled with the thawing suggestion, tells me that is not a small issue. So I called Samsung and after 10 minutes on hold as the problem was being reviewed, I was transferred to the executive customer relations department only to be told that my refrigerator was past its one-year warranty and there was nothing they would do to satisfy my issue. Is it unreasonable for a product that costs $1300.00 to last longer than 3 years? So much for executive customer service”! They have my money and they didnt seem to think that they need anything else from me. What they fail to remember or maybe care about is that I (a consumer) will want to buy an appliance again and I have friends that will need to do the same!

We purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2013. In the summer of 2016, the fridge/freezer broke for the first time. Samsung sent out their qualified repair experts who attempted to fix the problem but in the process, caused further harm. They ended up attempting to fix the fridge 7 more times without success. They then determined that it was an entirely new issue requiring us to buy yet another part and pay for labor yet again. Contact with Samsung was unhelpful. Because we were out of the 1 year warranty time period, there was nothing they were willing to do. We were without a reliable refrigerator/freezer for more than 6 months. Many times we had to throw away all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. We interrupted our work and home-life schedule 8 times to be there for the repair service 4 hour window. We expected Samsung to recognize a faulty refrigerator and offer immediate compensation. This was a bad purchase-- we do not recommend Samsung to anyone. Their customer service is below any standard.

What a waste of nearly $900. Samsung has absolutely no customer service when theres a problem(s). Was no help on phone, had an online chat (India, of course) who was flipping through his instructions for code PE and I was told it was a half-load error, whatever and whoever does a half load? I can ditto everything in here, one code after another. Repairman (local) here 2x, replaced main board that didnt work. Did the cleanout cycle a few weeks back and was running well but now code 9E. Looked it upon net, tried the soap thing, NG. Tried banging on left side and running this time, but for how long? If I have to pull it out like another suggestion it WILL NOT GO BACK IN. BTW, the Samsung authorized dealer is 3 hours away! They sent one about 6 months after I got it for rust appearing on the outside of the door and he said rust was not under warranty. This is a stainless steel, inside and out, and theres rust? I agree, NO MORE SAMSUNG! I hope the microwave holds out longer.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (model RS265TD) from Lowes on 8-1-2012. This purchase has been the most horrible experience of our life. We have had 4 repairs, with a 5th one scheduled, for this horrible noise that sounds like a B52 bomber taking off (just 2 months after purchasing) followed by a defective solenoid supposedly because the repairman could not figure what else it could be because the computer showed no problem even though it would take days for the ice maker to make ice. Then again in November and in January 2013, when the noise continued and the ice maker would shoot ice out 30 feet all on its own followed by not working at all and noise still continuing, another repair. Then again, another horrid noise. We called the company again. They scheduled the service call and when the repairman showed, Samsung said that there were no previous repairs and that it did not warrant any replacement or refund. This past March 2013, they kept their repairman on the phone for 2 hours and we also were on the phone. They kept passing the buck. Lowes isnt any better. They washed their hands of anything after 30 days. I am checking with my lawyer now. No one, and I mean no one, should buy from Samsung. They are horrible and do not stand by their warranty. Run from this and all of their products as fast as you can.

There is a severe design flaw in Samsung refrigerators. They freeze up with ice in the back panel every 5-7 months requiring complete removal and 24 hour thawing. Samsung is also unresponsive with no customer service. For a really good view, Google removing the rear panel of a Samsung refrigerator. Then watch the YOUTube video. Then you will know what a disappointment it is to own a $2500 refrigerator that is less than 3 years old.

Samsung is stalling on my repair/replacement request until I pass the manufacturer warranty. I contacted Samsung several times requesting that they either service or replace my refrigerator. The refrigerator is constantly leaking in the drawers, the freezer and the floors and does not cool well at the recommended temperature. The representative transferred me to an incorrect service department. Second time around, they kept me for 1.5 hours and claimed they can’t find the serial number to match the model and asked me to send them a copy- I did. Still no feedback or contact from Samsung or its service dept. The company is ignoring the American consumer! There is so many consumer complaints about Samsung refrigerators having the same issues as I report. These are not small ticket items. It is about time for Samsung to own up to its bad products and recall these refrigerators. My old refrigerator by a different manufacturer lasted 50 years. The Samsung refrigerators did not last 6 months. It is time for Consumers Affairs and the Attorney General to order Samsung to recall its products and to reimburse its consumers for every refrigerator with problems. It is time for Consumer Affairs and the Attorney General to prohibit Samsung from selling its refrigerators in the US! Thank you.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF323TEDBSR) less than two years ago and have had three repairs. The latest annoyance was the loud cycling sounds that came from the unit and stopped temporarily when you opened the door. The tech said it is the fan icing up in the back of the unit and replaced. Here we are about 8 months later and it starts up again. Not impressed with Samsung appliances and will never purchase one again.

I contacted Samsung about how to take the glass out of the cover for the veg. and fruit bins. The tech told me to look at the manual, which I went to on the internet. He said it was on page 11, so I scroll down to page 11. I dont see it, he says he meant page 10. I go there. Its not there. Then he says Go to page 33, so I scroll down to page 33, which is no help. Then he gives me a confirmation no. The person tell me she wipes up her spills right away. I tell her that is not the problem, the liquid got between the edge of the glass and the plastic. She tells me I cant remove the glass to wash it. If this is the case, I am so sorry I purchased this fridge. I will make sure no one I know buys this from Samsung. The water dispenser is a continual problem with dripping water even when no one is using it. When you put your glass under the spout for crushed or reg. ice, the ice keeps coming and goes on the floor. I guess you can see I am an unsatisfied customer. If you know a way to remove the glass, please let me know, since I cannot afford another refrigerator. Thank you.

I had purchased the extended warranty, so I called and the repairman came out and said ice had built up and he used a hair dryer. The same thing happened again and he came out and did the same thing. Now, I am having an ice-maker problem. This refrigerator has given me nothing but problems. I will never again buy a Samsung refrigerator. I have been reading that most of their refrigerators have problems. I will advise my friends and family not to buy these refrigerators.

Samsung dishwasher model dw80h993. This dishwasher is a piece of junk, I have had technician out twice and now I still have problems with the drain and now its out of warranty, bought in Dec. 2014 and the hose is not kinked. I would not recommend anyone purchasing a Samsung dishwasher. I think if a manufacturer claims they have a reliable dishwasher or anything they should back it up with at least a two year warranty. Dissatisfied with Samsung. Will not purchase anything in the future.

In September 2017, we purchased the top of the line Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot thinking it would be the last dishwasher we retirees would buy. Unfortunately I can’t tell you the model because my husband threw the manual and paperwork away in disgust three weeks ago when, after two years and four months we sent the dishwasher to the dump. It needed a new pump and the repair would be so expensive we might as well buy a new one. Our model had the storm surge feature, if that helps identify it. Also, the racks were starting to rust. The clean was not as good as the Whirlpool we replaced it with for half the price. We also bought a refrigerator at the same time. We’re attempting to join a class action suit because the ice maker leaks and the ice compartment freezes into a solid block and Samsung refuses to acknowledge the problem. I’ve learned that Samsung, LG, and even some GE appliances use the same inferior parts. I bought Whirlpool because that’s what the repairman owns. But I bought a Lowe’s 5 year warranty on my $326 dishwasher (sale price) so that I’m covered. I distrust the company warranties and their planned obsolescence. Start talking to your friends and associates, I’ve found three others disgruntled with their Samsung appliances. Personally, I would pay a small fortune for an appliance with parts and manufacture in the USA. I’m old enough to know major appliances that lasted 30 years and more. Remember when Made in the USA was a guarantee of quality? Not assembled in the USA with parts made in Mexico or China. Thank you for allowing me to vent, and please don’t buy Samsung.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF28HFEDTSR/AA - what a mistake!
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF28HFEDTSR/AA - what a mistake! Like other consumers, we have had terrible problems with it - problems that are typical and that Samsung does not stand behind. This particular model has an ice maker in the freezer (bottom drawer) and an ice maker in the top (refrigerator door location) where the ice and water are dispensed. The top ice maker freezes up and has to be thawed out constantly and water drips out of the dispenser, itself. This is a common problem and a class action lawsuit has been filed - as Samsung has refused to take responsibility and address the well-known issues! In addition, the plastic shelves crack - for no reason - obviously a defect in the type of plastic that is used in manufacturing the shelves. This is another problem that has been frequently noted by consumers - yet, Samsung refuses to take responsibility. I have many Samsung products in my house - cell phones, televisions, sound bars, etc. I am very disappointed in this refrigerator, and especially in the lack of customer service by Samsung. I will think long and hard before I purchase any other Samsung products. When we first began having the freezing problem, I read on the internet how many others were having the same issue. I contacted Samsung and got nowhere at all. After being tired of constantly having to take a hair dryer and chip away the ice - I called a service to fix it - and they said there really was no fix. I had someone look at it today - and all they could do was what I had been doing - and charged me $80. They did find out that Samsung had managed to develop a fix for the problem and it would cost me between 400 and 600 dollars to do it. The service man and I both agreed that I might as well purchase a new refrigerator. This one is only 3 years old! It began having issues - of course - after the warranty period had ended. Please tell everyone not to buy Samsung appliances!

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator in 2012. It has an external ice and water, along with the bottom freezer and a drawer that has various options. Since 2014, we have had significant problems with the ice maker. The repair person has been here 5-6 times attempting to fix what he calls a manufacturing and engineering defect. Apparently he has seen this problem multiple times. It doesnt make ice, then it makes ice but it all melts and refreezes in a solid block. It continued this cycle over and over until it burned out its fan. Multiple calls to Samsung have gotten me nowhere except that I have now spent nearly $1000 trying to fix a $2500 appliance that is still brand new.

However, Samsung has discontinued this part and they do not offer information where we can purchase a generic part. Why would Samsung discontinue a part on a product that is less than four years old? This Samsung Model RF26XAEWP refrigerator is 5 years old and has a constant problem with noise. The compressor was replaced after 1.5 years and the problem still continues. Ice always builds up on the back of the refrigerator, water collects at the bottom under the veggie drawers and the cycle continues. Ive added an extended service contract on this refrigerator and gets looked at now every three months with the same problem. I just spent 6 hours defrosting this self defrosting refrigerator and got 8 cups of water out of it. No water leaking, just ice build up. After it was completely defrosted I plugged it back in and the noise continues. It will do this until the repairman shows and then it will stop. Samsung cannot make good refrigerators or repair them. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product after the experiences I have had with this refrigerator model #RFG298HDBP. Water from the door dispenser would drip enough to fill up the reservoir and it had to be constantly maintained. While during the warranty period, the lower icemaker never worked properly or regularly. Samsung sent out a repairman who replaced the icemaker at no charge (under warranty). The replacement was of equal poor quality as it operated for a month or so before problems started. Water would overfill and spill into the ice bin... Finally, we decided to shut off the lower icemaker. The warranty had expired and I was not going to pay for a service call because I was beginning to see more problems on the horizon. The upper icemaker would produce ice at a much slower pace, but we survived. Then the water leaking into the meat/cheese drawer began. Puddles of clean water that you could splash in the drawer... I started keeping a hand towel at the back to absorb the water and every few days I would replace the water soaked towel with a dry one. Sometimes the wet towel is frozen stiff. Then, a layer of ice was developing under the meat drawer! Water was dripping under it and freezing up. If the layer built up enough over a weeks time, you would have difficulty sliding the drawer in and out and closing the drawer. As a new maintenance routine I take contents from the drawer, pull the drawer completely out of the refrigerator, scrape out the ice on the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet, then put the drawer back in. Can you believe this? Many of my fresh vegetables are freezing (ruining) in the refrigerated section... not in the drawers but sitting on the shelf. At least once a week I have to go through the de-icing routine, maybe more often depending on the ice build up. As of yesterday, the door dispenser of ice and water has stopped operating. Nothing comes out of the dispenser. Zero.Like everyone else on ConsumerAffairs, I called Samsung who referred me to their service center. I do not care to put anymore money into this lousy lemon. I would feel so guilty to sell this second hand to anyone else! But I dont want it anymore! I have never, never, never had such a terrible appliance. When we spent several thousand dollars to buy this Samsung refrigerator, I had waited a long time to buy something that would last a while and be maintenance free. This has been anything but what I had hoped for. Wheres some help from our government to act upon the company that is stealing from consumers???

January 3, 2015 I purchased a scratch and dent Samsung french door refrigerator with ice maker in the freezer unit. It came with a 1yr. warranty from Samsung and I purchased a 5yr. warranty from Lowes. It was delivered and installed by Lowes on January 6, 2015. It started to produce ice and it produced half a gallon bag of ice and then quit. We went through the manual which gave us no direction. I turned off the ice maker so that it would not burn up. I called Samsung January 9, 2015. They walked me through the troubleshooting and told me that because the ice maker was turned off, I had to wait 48 hrs. for service. They called me back on January 12, 2015 and again a different associate walked me through the same trouble shooting process but added a twist, which was the rollers where touching the floor and therefore Lowes had to come back out and give the refrigerator a 2 inch tilt. That seems ridiculous however we jumped through the hoops. I went on live chat with Samsung January 15,2015 and again that associate was going through the same trouble shooting process. Really, does anyone do service anymore? I let him know that it is unacceptable to have a refrigerator only one week old. With full warranty and not be able to get it serviced. Very unhappy with Samsung and will never buy another appliance from them.

I will not purchase a product made by Samsung again. One of the components went in the microwave, I only use it for defrosting and heating water, another wonderful product by Samsung. I bought a Samsung Refrigerator about less than a year ago from HHGREGG. About a month ago, the refrigerator became faulty. There was no cooling in the fridge, however the freezer was working fine. The milk and other perishable items were getting spoiled in the fridge. Immediately I contacted Samsung technical support, they made me reduce the fridge temperature, but that did not help in any way. Finally a ticket was generated and it was given to Dependable Services (Samsung contracts with third party to provide repair and maintenance service) to fix the issue. This is where my nightmare started. After great difficulty I was able to get hold of some customer service person in Dependable Service. Finally they gave me a service technician visit date that was about a week away. On the said date, they called me and said the spare parts did not arrive, so the visit was pushed to next week. After a week of finally waiting, again I got a call from the customer service team saying one of the spare parts was there and other was in someone elses truck. Then they postponed the visit for another week. Now again they called me and left a voice mail (I was not reachable). Immediately I called back when I saw the voice mail in the evening. I was told the ticket was cancelled due to no response (they call a single call no reply from customer is a no response for them). I had to call Samsung and had to get another ticket. After all this hassle, finally the technician arrived at home after more than 3 weeks of complaints, back and forth calling. The technician comes home and says he did not have spare parts (the cooling fan had to be replaced) to fix the fridge. I was shocked. They had postponed the repair for more than 3 weeks giving one reason or another saying they were getting parts from Samsung to repair, and here comes the technician without the parts. The whole thing has been a nightmare. I had to call Samsung customer service many times, and they ask me to talk to dependable service. They are giving me a run around. I regret buying a refrigerator from SAMSUNG, THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am without refrigerator for more than a month now... I would never ever buy any Samsung product ever in my life. I learnt my lesson, will stay away from the name SAMSUNG.

I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

Purchased a Samsung dishwasher just 2 days over a year ago. Have had good service until this morning. Started the unit and went to bed. This morning the unit was filled with water, the dishes were dirty, and the front panel light with Quick was flashing. After doing some internet research, I cleared the water from the tub and inspected the filter. No help. Next, I checked the exhaust hose for any blockage. No help. Then I found this site...... Apparently, Ive purchased a pile of junk for a washing machine. Does anyone on this site have a dishwasher they can recommend? (Must have a good 10 years of service --- My old Kenmore lasted 30 years.)

We purchased ALL of our appliances in December of 2015 from a local Rosners in West Palm Beach Florida where we bought all Samsung, w/d, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and microwave. The ice maker never worked properly and from the first year we had problems. We had build up of ice in the freezer if we put too many items in it and had to use a hair dryer on occasion to defrost it so it would work properly. We chose not to purchase the extended warranty but thought we would have little to no issues in the first few years at least. We chose NOT to install a Samsung brand water filter to save money but realized that was not a good idea. Now we are without ice, water and have spent an extra $200+ on repairman who cant figure out the problem. It is my first major purchase of appliances in my 50 years and I now know I should have listened to recommendations that Samsung has too many problems and they are too expensive to maintain and I should have got GE products. Unfortunately, that isnt the case. If you have any suggestions, we appreciate your input.

I bought this Samsung dishwasher about 14 months ago and it has stopped working. The smart auto light and heavy light is on meaning an over-level water error. I have looked all over the internet and this seems to be a major design flaw! Of course I am out of warranty so will have to call the repairman. My old dishwasher GE lasted 10 years with no problems. The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator exactly 2 years ago. It has been broken (not cooling) for 3 weeks. At first I was told it was the computer board.. I ordered the part... waited a week... and it didnt fix it (& of course this part isnt covered so Im out the $150). Then I called them back and was told it was a relay switch. Another $50 & another week waiting on parts... and guess what?!?! It comes and didnt fix it! It has to be the compressor and Im told I will have to wait ANOTHER week for someone to come out to fix it. All of my food was ruined and I have 3 kids and we are presently living out of 1 small cooler! Very unacceptable if you ask me! I am getting rid of all Samsung devices and appliances that I have and moving on to better companies! Consumers beware!

We purchased a Samsung French-door refrigerator two years ago. After the first year, water started accumulating beneath the lower drawer and freezing, making the drawer increasingly hard to slide in/out. I have emailed Samsungs customer service department twice with specific details of the issue (model#, serial#). I have gotten zero reply except for spam marketing messages, since they now have my email address. We finally called their local authorized service (Asian-owned) and described the problem, and they immediately knew the fix -- a defective water valve on rear of refrigerator. They offered to repair it but the cost would be over $200. If this is a part that fails regularly, Samsung should issue a recall instead of sending us advertisements to buy more of their inferior-quality appliances.

Similar to what has been stated, our brand new ME21H706MQS Microwave unit caught fire after the 4th use. We are engineers so we caught it, put out the fire and unplugged it. We called Samsung the next day and they told us that we needed a receipt to get reimbursed. Brand new home, just built, so we had to ask builder for info. Turns out he purchased it at Home Depot who does not participate in the Samsung replacement program. They will reimburse the cost of the unit and no more; no removal or installation fee unless we have proof we paid to get it installed. So now my builder needs to invoice himself for the installation so I can get someone to remove it and install an over the range hood in its place. Even GE microwaves have reported fires and failures. Will not replace the unit and will reheat food the old fashion way instead.

I bought the dishwasher for almost $500, embarrassed that I paid that much for such a piece of junk now and thinking I had paid that much did not purchase the extended warranty. My last dishwasher was almost 20 years old when I replaced it and I was thinking I had replaced it with a much higher end model. I did not buy a Bosch or some fancy machine, nor did I buy a cheap model, just something would get the job done for a longtime. At a little less than two years, I start getting low water warnings and it shuts off and wont complete its cycle, this gets worse and worse until I cant get it to run at all. I call Samsung and they tell me it is out of warranty and for $180 they can send someone out to look at the machine but it could cost parts as well. I got it fixed by my usual guy for much less and it worked form last Oct 2013 until this February 2014 and the same low water warning is going off and the machine once again shuts off multiple times before it runs and sometimes it take a day before it will run. This is definitely a defect in design that Samsung will not acknowledge. Do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. They do no customer service, nor do they acknowledge design defects. Their warranty repair people are limited and charge an outrageous amount, because they are the only game in town just to check out your machine and do not guaranty it will be covered and they are rude and arrogant as they know they are the only ones who cover your area. Just saying will never buy another Samsung appliance nor will I go to best buy as they are the ones who sold it to me, neither stand by their products.

I wish I did more research and read reviews before getting into a Samsung refrigerator. 2 1/2 years ago, I bought a new refrigerator. Since I was spending more than a $1,000 on a fridge, I expected to last the usual 10 years and did not buy the guarantee. Well, I had problems with the refrigerator from day 1. A week after it was delivered I had to call service because of problems with the ice maker. After that service was called three more times with same problems. Motor is out now. Of course Samsung said you are out of luck since you did not pay $400 extra for the guarantee. I explained to them that is a persisting problem but they just say you are out of luck. Horrible customer service and worse product I ever spend money on. My washer and dryer are from another brand and I had them for more than 10 years. Model RFGTHDRS - I bought this unit 3 years ago. Nearly every plastic bin on both side of the door broke for no reason and had to be replaced. About 2 years after the purchase, I noticed water collecting and then freezing underneath the large pantry drawer, to the point you cant open that drawer. I have to eventually take that whole drawer out and remove the ice buildup. Samsung wanted to charge me $450 for a service call, and they denied being aware of any problem like this. I see it is a very huge problem. I am completely dissatisfied with customer support and this product. I would advise anyone to stay away from Samsung refrigerators. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES! In 2015, we installed Samsung appliances in our kitchen in conjunction with an extensive remodel. Worse move we ever made. Boy do I wish we could turn back the clock. The dishwasher failed 2 months after we installed it, and we literally had to give up our first-born child to get a replacement unit even though it was still within the 1 year warranty. Next, the element in the oven failed (3 times to date) as well as the control board which set us back $250. The microwave has always had a mind of its own, and will often beep and turn lights on and off during the middle of the night. Since it still seems to work, we are leaving it alone. Finally, the ice-maker in the refrigerator door freezes up and causes a mess, and needs to be defrosted once a month. Apparently, this is a very common problem with Samsung refrigerators. Another reason to stay away from this product. Amazingly enough, we contacted Samsung no less than 10 times regarding these issues and the response has always been your appliances are out of warranty, too bad so sad. If you are planning on purchasing Samsung appliances, I would highly recommended you do your research first and go with another brand! I for one will NEVER buy their products again.

We have had our dishwasher 13 months, 1 month too long apparently. It was working perfectly, used approximately every other day. Then one day, it started to malfunction, stopping 10-15 minutes after we start a load, with an error message SE. Look up that code to find that its a draining problem. Ok, no problem. Disconnect the hoses, clean out the water, see that the hose is draining well, and reconnect. Load runs perfectly. Next load, the message happens again. This time, I remove the entire hose, clean it out. Reattach, runs perfectly. Happens again after the next load.Called Samsung, they stated sorry, your warranty is expired. Well, of course it is. Why would you warranty your product for more than 12 months? Ok, so thats fair. I ask for suggestions. Instead, the person I get at the 1-800-Samsung can hardly speak English, is talking SO quietly I can hardly hear her over the noise of the call center, and is basically just repeating what I am telling her. ZERO help at all. Tells me to just turn the power on and off then offers me some numbers for people to call to get authorized service. Tonight, after the 4th time of the SAME error message happening, we drain it, leave it unattached to the drain and have it drain into a bucket. Its draining fine, wonderfully in fact, but again, while watching it drain, we get the SE message, the same message that states we have an error with our drainage system. So, its one of two problems, a motor or an electrical. Either one is UNACCEPTABLE for a 13 month old dishwasher. Every single one of my appliances is a Samsung product, and because of this incident, I have absolutely zero faith in the other products. The thing that is now really bothering me is all the negative reviews of this product. How is it possible that this product is considered a high end product when I cannot find a single review to substantiate that? We spent almost $800 on this thing. Thats ridiculous, and to only get 13 months out of it. To get it repaired is going to cost us $200 for the service call and whatever the cost of the part that we need. I think we should just replace it but again, that makes me so mad because we shouldnt have to be replacing ANYTHING at 13 months. Im so upset Im crying. Shame on Samsung. Shame on you.

Samsung Model RFG297HDWP/XAA. The unit is a three door bottom freezer I purchased in November of 2013 from Sears. I had the ice maker repaired once and then replaced. It is Junk and a terrible flaw in design. In addition the Fridge has shut down at least Three times for no apparent reason. I came home one evening and opened the door to find the lights working but it seemed warm. I have two thermometers installed which showed the interior temp at 60 degrees. I opened the freezer drawer and that was also not cold. I hit the Digital display and it showed the set point at 36 and after a few seconds flashed the actual reading of 60 degrees - Freezer flashed a reading of 30 degrees. I called Samsung tech support and did what they asked me to do. I unplugged it for over a minute. Plugged it back in. Nothing. I put it in power cool mode. Nothing. After around 30 minutes I heard the compressor kick in. Amazing. This has happened three times that I know of... I was gone for three months last summer. Who knows?? I had purchased the master Protection Agreement from Sears, Thank God. A service Tech came out and just so he didnt think I was crazy. I took a video of the digital displayed temperature readings. He was here for more than two hours, ordered several boards and said to call when the boards arrived. They arrived and I called and a different Service Tech came out and tried to install the boards only to tell me they were the wrong parts and he didnt think the fridge needed both boards anyway. I told him That I would rather he change out both than take a chance and that maybe Sears should communicate with the first tech on this issue of what boards need to be replaced. I am not confident that this will solve the problem. It is a Manufacturing defect and Samsung should be held liable.Updated on 10/31/2016: I just had the fridge repaired on October 19, 2016. The fridge would shut down randomly for no apparent reason. The Sears tech diagnosed and ordered two new circuit boards. Eleven days later the problem came back. This time it is tripping the circuit breaker when shutting down. The one thing that is different now is the motor or fan is constantly running for hours and hours before the shutdown and the tripped breaker. I called Samsung and they are of no help. When will they help us consumers who are stuck with lemons that have cost them over two thousand dollars.

I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? Ill drop dead before I EVER buy another Samsung product.

We purchased a Samsung RF G298HD in 2011, which has run quite well. We have not had an issue with either ice maker. The large drawer needed to be replaced under warranty due to not opening easily. Our issue with this unit is all the plastic trim work is either cracking or just falling off. With a purchase price of over $2300, I would expect better quality. The end caps to the handles are plastic and fall off regularly. One on the shelves in the side door is cracking. I would expect more out of a company for the price that we paid for this inferior product.

Purchased my Samsung electric range in January of 2015. It has been a year and a half, and the Samsung silver letters located right under the panel that contains the clock, baking settings, and so forth have peeled completely off, the white circles on top of the range that denote where to place the pan/pot are fading. I also noticed that the small black circles that indicate if it is, for example, front right or front left on the range are fading and the black lines around the knobs are fading as well. I was very excited to get this new appliance, and have tried to keep the stovetop as clean as possible. I have only used recommended cleaners for this kind of range, Needless to say, I now have permanent burn spots and I cannot get rid of them. When I clean now, I have to be extremely careful. Im afraid that the fading will continue and my range that is less than two years old will look like its 10 years old. Highly disappointed and will probably not buy a Samsung range again.

We bought the French door refrigerator from Lowe’s in Jan. 2010. This year rust came through the paint around the edges of the ice and water dispenser. I feel like they should have to fix this on a 2000 dollar refrigerator. They apparently painted over the rust in the factory. I want them to send someone to fix this problem. We should not have to pay to have this done.

The first error code (LC) happened about 4 weeks after install. A week wait for a tech, claimed no problem. Happened again about 5 weeks later. Again, no issue found. Happened again - replaced a part. Happened again. You get the picture. Sent a complaint directly to Samsung in May 2018 requesting replacement of faulty machine (Dishwasher 80M9 series). Was told they had only received ONE repair notice from us (we had logged in SEVEN at that point - since WE hadnt paid for any of the service calls, I have to assume Samsung did!). They sent someone out to repair AGAIN. Happened again in June. JUST had repair here to replace two parts - he was 5 minutes away from the house and it happened yet again. HORRIBLE company to deal with. This should truly be a no star review.

Within two years the refrigerator computer has issues, the ice cube maker constantly froze solid and FINALLY Samsung replaced. Now the black stainless paint on my $1200 gas range is peeling off! Contacting Samsung and Im told thats cosmetic damage due to wear and tear.Samsung products are expensive but under the surface are inferior appliances that start top fail shortly after the 1 year warranty period. In the case of the peeling paint off the range, that isnt even covered during the warranty period. Stay away from Samsung. Do not spend good money on their inferior appliances. They are impossible to work with to resolve issues. I will not be letting this most recent defect go without lots of complaining with Lowes where they were purchased and with Samsung. I will be filing a lawsuit against Samsung for replacement cost of the gas range.

I had bought Samsung fridge freezer side by side and bought quite early as it was on special offer and our home had just started the renovation. So when the delivery came did not open as we put trust on the consumer products and because it was dusty in the house. I just kept it in the box. Once the renovation was done opened the box so excitedly and what do I see? Big dent on the door and small dent on the side of the fridge. We rang Samsung straight away and explained to them what we found and why we delayed on opening the box. But they did not want to know as it was over 28 days. I ask them to just replace the door and that has big dent but No. We have families and friends come to visit us and they see the dent on the door and they laugh. Not on us but on Samsung, and they say See SAMSUNG ARE NOT GOOD.There is no reliability that Samsung offers to their customers after the product is sold. Reading all the other reviews, looks like these problems are just a beginning. I have Samsung products that we have are phones, TV, DVD recorder. We have had issue only with our Samsung fridge freezer, but with this experience we promised ourselves not to purchase any Samsung merchandise in the future. Very very poor service from Samsung home appliance and customer relations. But hey guess what if any of the staff or any other higher position and CEO family and friends had problem they would have helped them with one click.

In July 2013, we bought a Samsung 3 door refrigerator with drawer for about $2,000.00. There was a manufacturers defect in one of the electrical cords attached to the drawer, which was repaired here. In January 2013, the refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling and freezing, so we called HH Gregg and were automatically connected to Samsung. Samsung did not dispatch a repairman, but instead said someone would get back to us. We waited all day as our food began to spoil, and called HH Gregg local number and asked for a store manager. He told us he would send an email to HH Greggs corporate office, and they would replace the refrigerator, which might take a week, and that another store employee, Beth, would call us back and set us up with a loaner refrigerator. When Beth did not call, we called her, and she said she had no such authority. I asked to speak to the manager again, and she connected me to Jeff, another person, who informed me that the store does not issue loaners and that there would not be a replacement refrigerator from HH Gregg. We called Samsung several times also, and they continued to say that someone would get back to us in 24 to 48 hours. At this point, we regret dealing with HH Gregg, and we regret buying a Samsung. I definitely do not recommend HH Gregg for any reason, and think people should avoid them entirely. As to Samsung, I am stuck with a lemon and will have to deal with their impossibly frustrating and slow customer service for the remainder of the time the refrigerator is under warranty. I have read several horror stories about Samsung, including 7 repairs in 4 years, at **. In summation, HH Gregg sells shoddy merchandise. No refrigerator should break twice in the first 7 months of ownership. Furthermore, HH Gregg does not stand behind its merchandise. Even thought we did not buy an extended warranty, they should take the refrigerator back and give us our money back, so we can buy a working refrigerator.

I give Samsung a one star simply because there isnt a lower option. I have owned two Samsung refrigerators. The first I purchased about 9 or 10 years ago. It only lasted about 6 months and the compressor stopped working. I contacted Samsung and was advised the warranty at the time was a 6 month warranty and it would not be covered. I built a new home less than five years ago and as I got ready to purchase the appliances I had a family member that was going through a divorce that had new kitchen appliance set that he was looking to sell. The set was a stainless steel Samsung refrigerator, glass top stove, and a dishwasher. All of which had not been used but had been installed in his new home. The Samsung refrigerator worked great all of maybe 6 months and the icemaker stopped working. I replaced it and the replacement worked maybe two months and it quit. I replaced that one and the third one worked less than a year and it then quit so I purchased a countertop icemaker and gave up on having one in the refrigerator. Then shortly after the third icemaker stopped it started pooling water under the deli tray that would run out and puddle on the floor. Shortly after that it started making a noise which was the fan hitting build up ice accumulating near the fan. I had to take the refrigerator apart and clear the ice. A short while later it froze up again and this time it burn up the fan motor because the ice also froze the fan. I ordered the parts, put it back together and less than two months later the freezer stopped working. All of these issues were not covered by warranty. When the freezer stopped I fixed it by replacing it with a new refrigerator/freezer.The Samsung glass top stove, I have had to replace the glass top cause the original one busted. It busted after cooking a meal and the repairman advised me the top had an air bubble and as it was cooling off the bubble caused the glass to bust. The dishwasher I have had to pull out three times and replace parts in it. IF YOU WANT QUALITY STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG TRASH.

I researched the same problem other people had so I could try to fix the problem. I purchased an expensive french door Samsung refrigerator with bottom freezer from Lowes. When the refrigerator was less than a year old, I noticed the freezer was frosting up. But then the problem went away only to return a couple months later but this time the whole freezer iced up. Lowes said it was out of warranty so they gave me Samsungs number. A Samsung repairman came out and blamed the problem on not closing the door properly. He defrosted the freezer and after that, the freezer stopped working completely. A second call to Samsung and the same repairman showed up. This time he said to repair it, he would have to weld and refill the freon but that would cause a lot of smoke in the kitchen and there was some risk in bringing in canisters of flammable gas, etc. He wasnt too eager to do the repair and felt the refrigerator should be replaced by Samsung. Given his track record I wasnt confident about this repair. Samsung has refused to replace the refrigerator, pay for the labor to repair it, and send a different repairman. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA - Due to an older house I needed to get a smaller refrigerator. It was hard to find due to all the constraints, size, height, and how far the doors could open. I was excited to find the Samsung French Door Refrigerator, because it fit with all the space constraints my home required. It was a new model so there wasnt any reviews available. Unlike my previous Samsung French Door, a larger version, that I had 7 years ago, this one makes cloudy ice. I just found out from a Samsung repair tech that this model will not make clear ice due to the way it makes ice. Also, because of some restrictions lifted on companies making refrigerators most newer models make loud noises, according to the research I found on the internet. My model sounds like someone in there is trying to get out by throwing a large rock around. It happens every 6 to 8 hours. It can wake me up from a sound sleep. I thought it was the ice maker, but I have turned it off and it still makes it. Samsung basically has made all kinds of excuses, but they havent done anything about it. Other Pros: Ive only had it since Nov 2014, going on 8 months. It so far, keeps my food cold and my freezer seems to be working fine. It has plenty of space for me. Had I known about the cloudy ice issue I may have looked into buying another brand.

Our Samsung DMR77LHW model that we purchased as part of a kitchen renovatio
Our Samsung DMR77LHW model that we purchased as part of a kitchen renovation some 5 years ago has been a source of frustration for the last 4 years. We had it repaired twice under an extended warranty (thank God!!); the first time just a year after purchase (replaced circuit board) and then again this past winter (entire top rack, door gasket, top rotary washing arm). Between those 2 service calls (and continuing to this day), nothing but poor performance and failing parts: Brittle and broken rack clips, recurring SE error (and now a PE code yesterday!) during normal cycle, cleaned dishes and glasses with odd food particles caked on, very wet items after the drying cycle, etc. We will be replacing this piece of cr*p in the next month because we have endured it long enough. Shame on Samsung for STILL producing such low quality products 5 years after we bought our own. I thought that this manufacturer would improve its appliances based on all this consumer feedback, but apparently Samsung doesnt care about that. So, junk products + poor customer service experience = a company to boycott. Bye bye Samsung. You have lost another client. Not just for dishwashers, but your ENTIRE line of products, I.e., Mobile Devices, TV & Audio, Cameras & Camcorders, PC monitors & Printers, Home Appliances, and Memory/Storage (as per your products list at Samsung.com). You will not get my business again!

I have had some of the same bad experiences with Samsung products, so I decided to share my experience to help those facing the same problems as me. I have owned the top of the line dmt800RHS dishwasher for less than two years. Initially the only issue was that the dishes would not get clean enough, so I spoke to the Lowes sales person who told me to make sure the water was hot at the sink before I start my washer. Even though there is a heating element in the machine, this did seem to help. Then, we started to smell what a lot of you are complaining about. Finally, the last straw was this latest issue with the machine filling with water but not starting the wash cycle. It also drains okay. I took the washer outside and removed everything inside it. Dont worry, its not rocket science, you can do it too. Just take your time. What I found was a piece of calcium stuck between the impeller and deflector. The calcium had hardened on the heating elements. I had to remove trapped food from inside the screen. I believe that is where the smell is coming from. I laid the machine on its back and removed the white plastic cover on the bottom that has two screws. Use a flat tip screw driver to release the tabs. Once inside, use a pair of pliers to pinch and slide the clamp back to remove the black hose at about the middle of the washer bottom. Stand it upright and blast the interior with your garden hose. If you live with hard water and your heating coil is covered with calcium put the hose back on and in the upright position submerge the coil in a CLR/water mixture. It might be a good idea to use a dishwasher cleaner monthly to keep the odor and calcium down. I hope I helped someone.

A new problem has arisen with our Samsung DMR 77 dishwasher. We resolved two old the ones frequently mentioned by others here (see below). New problem is that after two years of use, the upper spray arm drops off its mounting and when snapped back, falls off again in use. We had the same problem others reported with the dishwasher turning on at the slightest touch or seemingly even a near approach. Samsung should sell the technology for proximity switches. But the solution is simple: turn on the child lock feature immediately after the cycle begins. That is, disable when you want to run the damn thing, then enable as soon as the cycle begins so you dont forget. Problem solved with minimum hassle. We also experienced the Lego snap-off wheel problem, lower rack only, and the only solution we found is to pull the rack straight out. Cheap or stupid design, no question. We bought Samsung dishwasher, microwave, and range (and TV) when we redid our kitchen. The dishwasher has been worst by far in quality.

Samsung Refrigerator model #RF217ACPN/XAA - do not let the beauty or bells
Samsung Refrigerator model #RF217ACPN/XAA - do not let the beauty or bells and whistles of ANY Samsung sway you into buying. We bought our Samsung 3 years ago and were thrilled when it was delivered and installed. Sadly those emotions didnt last long. The first sign of trouble was lettuce/salad fixings freezing. Made sure it was not human error (temperature), this problem continued. Next came the ice maker refusing to make ice. After multiple, long-lasting, irritating contacts to the Samsung support tech no fix to my problems occurred. Water, then ice began to accumulate in the crisper drawers. A little in the beginning, then half-full and freezing solid anything in drawer. Repairman contacted for the ice maker. First one stated that there was no way he would attempt to work on a Samsung. Next one sighed and said he would try but that Samsung offers no tech support and parts stay on back order for a very long time. After checking out ice maker, said he could fix it with a $64.00 (wholesale) cost part IF he could locate it. Ice maker part located, repairman returned, so we inquired about water/ice in crisper. Blue light flashing on the top control as you open refrigerator-- uh oh. He took panels off, removed drain tab, unthawed ice, checked top control board, checked main panel, checked all of the fans. Main control panels were not turning the fan. Surmised that the control panel was not functioning. Even though this is not a financially good time for us, we went shopping today to check on a new refrigerator. Three stores and all salesman acknowledged that they understood why we would NOT look at a Samsung. One store told us that the models on the floor were the end of what Samsungs they would be selling because of not being able service them because it is too difficult to get the parts as they are always on back order. Salesman stated that there were a lot of service calls made on this brand. Wish I had known then what I know now about this brand of refrigerator.

Our Samsung microwave is a handsome piece of equipment and when it works, it works well. I wish I had done better research before buying it along with its suite of companion SS appliances. We, too, got the dreaded error code shortly after the warranty expired. Once the 5E error code appeared, nothing we did, unplugging and plugging, or buttons we pushed could get it working again. Luckily, my engineer husband managed to fix the problem since the company is rather less than customer-friendly when dealing with this apparently well-known problem. The fix requires one to remove the inside control panel and wipe off the contacts, which apparently are affected by steam rising from cooking on the range underneath. We have had to do this several times in a row (like twice in one day, then the following week type of thing), but since cleaning the contacts about four months ago, it has not happened again. Im keeping my fingers crossed, but I am extremely disappointed with Samsungs customer service in dealing with this issue. Also, it was my first time buying SS appliances - and it will certainly be the last. I dont know if its just this brand, but I find the finish is way too delicate for our bustling kitchen.

DW80H9930US - My Samsung dishwasher was installed on October 25, 2014. The first call for repair was made on December 5th for a persistent water leak from the bottom of the door. The repair was made on Dec. 26th in which the venting system in the door was replaced. The next repair call was made on Dec. 31st for the same water leaking problem. The repair was made on Jan. 9, 2015 in which the venting system gasket was reseated. The next repair call was made Jan. 10th for the same water leaking issue from the bottom of the door. On Jan. 16th, the service man placed an order for a door latch replacement. On February 6th, the door latch mechanism was replaced. Water leaking and the door popping open without error codes mid-cycle continued. The most recent repair took place on March 14th, where the repairman replaced the whole door. No more water leaking has been noticed, however, one month after this repair, the door continues to pop open mid-cycle without any error codes. The time remaining does appear and flashes. I close the door, and it starts up again and with fingers crossed it finishes, but not without multiple door popping open episodes. Ive checked the strainer in the base and its not clogged with food particles. The top rack does roll forward, and Ive seen another posting about it becoming disconnected from the sprayer mounting at the back of the dishwasher wall. Perhaps this is the reason the dishwasher continues to stop mid-cycle without displaying error codes. My anger is with Samsung, not with P.C. Richard & Sons performance. I dont know, but one thing is for sure, when my 5 year warranty has expired (thank God, I had the smarts to purchase one), this dishwasher is going to the curb and I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance, nor will I recommend their products to anyone!Updated on 09/25/2015: the dishwasher seemed fixed after the whole door replacement back in March 2015, however, it has begun leaking again (mid-August 2015) from the lower left area at the bottom of the door (the same area where it leaked from the start).

I bought model RS267 LBSH side by side in May 08 from Lowes. Right off, the ice maker never worked properly and we were blown off by repair (it never dispensed cubed ice and will block up with big chunks). Digital temperature reading seemed to be off. At times, things in the freezer were frozen rock hard and at other times almost soft. Reading the complaints, we should have bought an in fridge temp checker as I know the temps were fluctuating a lot although the in door reading showed a constant 0 and 38 degrees. Today, the unit quit cooling, but the door temps still read normal. We would not have known until the next morning except that hubby went into the freezer for a popsicle and they were melting. We threw stuff in the chest freezer, and put fridge stuff outside since its in the 30s here right now. I tried all the troubleshooting (what little I could find) from the Samsung site and nothing worked. After going through the complaint, I feel lucky we got 3 1/2 years before the 60 degree mark. Now, Im trying to decide whether to trash our good looking but problem prone fridge and buy another. Im not sure I want to pay for iffy repairs if we can even find anyone here that will work on them. Its the first time I have ever had a major appliance quit working like that so young in its age. This makes me never want to buy another Samsung product again. So Im now researching for more reliable fridge brands.

It is impossible to get a Service guy to come here, have been waiting 3 weeks now. I called Samsung 4 times asking if they would at least pay for the cost of a new pump which is about $150. They said NOT UNDER WARRANTY. Go figure a $1,000 dishwasher doesnt last 6 months after install. My previous 20 year old Kenmore worked and is still working when I gave it to my parents. PLEASE DO BYPASS ANY SAMSUNG DISHWASHER PURCHASE. You will have nothing but problems within a short period of time.

I bought a Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French door refrigerator 12/11/15 and it is not working correctly. I called an authorized repairman and they have replaced the ice maker, ice bin, auger for ice maker, some kind of filter on the back and it is still the same. They now say I need 2 defroster 1 for the top and 1 for the freezer. I have already spent a lot of money on this sorry refrigerator. The ice maker is still freezing up, dripping water and not keeping proper temperature. I am very unhappy with all this on a 1 1/2 year old refrigerator. My repairman wont even answer my calls now.

There arent enough characters allowed to explain why I would never buy anything Samsung ever again! The latest in a long nightmare of disgust (after the Blu-ray player that scratched circles in our discs and ruined them), is the fridge (RFG297HDRS) that decided to turn itself into a waterfall water feature in our kitchen overnight. Water was streaming rapidly from the ice maker exactly 15 months after purchase. Fortunately (well, maybe not) we got a store extended warranty because, Samsung itself told us good luck and Godspeed. The authorized Samsung repair people from the warranty company changed the ice maker and left. Two hours later and after business hours, the thing started leaking again (not as bad, but pretty bad once it started). Unrelated to Samsung, the morons at Warrantech wont let you put in a new call for service for 24 hours. Insult added to the injury of this regrettable purchase (all electronics and appliances in our new home are Samsung - I loved their monitors from 10 years ago, but that was when they were scrappy upstarts, not bloated Chinese wannabes), lesson learned. My advice is, avoid these and any store-branded warranty, since youll need it and both are total trash!

UPDATE July 11, 2019 Add me to the long list of folks with NO SOLUTION for freezer not cooling. I actually purchased this model on Jun 14, 2014. Freezer started to fail on July 1, 2019, literally two days after my Lowes 5 year extended warrantee expired on June 29th! Had a Samsung Certified tech come out on July 5th and tell me the problem was the compressor which was working overtime and pulling excessive amps. I took that initial diagnosis and called Samsung Customer Service. They said warrantee expired; I said NOT for the compressor which has 10 years for the part. They were to come out on July 11th to again confirm diagnosis with their own warrantee tech. But, by July 10, 2019, the freezer was at 61 degrees F and the refrigerator was at 34 degrees F. I instead called my original tech and told him that the compressor was no longer working hard to cool the refrigerator and not working at all to cool the freezer. He said that it is likely that the Freon in the coils to the freezer were clogged. And the reason the fridge was still cold is that the separate coil line to the fridge was not clogged. He said it is not likely to be fixed. Would require removing the entire coil line in the freezer section for replacement. You see there is a valve the switches between the freezer and refrigerator coils and sends Freon flowing alternating between the two. Now that the entire freezer line is clogged the switch seems to be selected only for the refrigerator. Only solution is to buy another refrigerator. I canceled the Samsung Service call with this new diagnosis. BTW, I lost about $100 in food, but was smart enough to purchase a small 5 cubic ft. freezer to save the rest. That will hold me over until a brand new fridge is delivered. I’d like to say I’m not going to buy a Samsung, but if you search on “freezer not cooling” you’ll find that all brands may have this problem….and most with NO SOLUTION.July 3, 2019 post. Bought the Samsung model RF323TEDBSR refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer drawer in June 2017. Freezer drawer is now failing evidenced by top layer of food thawed. Set the temp to -8 degrees F and no change. Ive called for repair at my expense because Lowe’s Service Advantage expired only two weeks ago (guess I should have renewed for $600). I now hope not to become one of the hundreds of reviewers here that could not get the freezer repaired even after replacing compressor, computer panel, and sensors. If the coils have failed, then Im toast. Wont know until $90 diagnosis this Friday. Before the repair person shows I plan to pull the back panel, remove power for few minutes, clean the coils and sensor area to see if that fixes the problem. But, I doubt it based on previous posts here.

We purchased our Samsung electric induction range in May, 2015. Within months of purchase we needed a service call. (Our last range - certainly not a Samsung - lasted over 20 years without requiring service.) We decided to purchase an extended warranty, which supposedly expires either May 18, 2018 or August 18, 2018 - certificate states former, person on phone said latter. I asked him to confirm, and to let me know cost of extending for another year, since I do not trust this product, and repairs and parts are expensive. Without going into a further list of complaints, suffice it to say that I had to call three times - kept disconnecting (and these folks manufacture and sell phones) - they also ask for customers phone number at beginning of conversation! - and the website is sales-driven, so I was unable to purchase additional extended warranty online. I could go on, but I will stop here - this company has already wasted too much of my time! I encourage anyone who is considering a Samsung product to reconsider!
