This dishwasher was purchased in 2013 and quite frankly has never worked properly. The door over the cup which hold the detergent sticks and doesnt open 5 out of 10. The contents is never sparkling clean and ALWAYS wet no matter what the setting. Incredibly disappointed as we actually love our Samsung televisions! Our Samsung microwave didnt work well either and had to be replaced within 6 months. Stick to television Samsung.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RB215LASH - Samsung is a disgrace. I have sworn off any product made by Samsung as a result of my experience with this refrigerator. This refrigerator began giving me trouble at ten months. I went out of town to work and when I came home it wasnt working at all. Neither Lowes nor Samsung was concerned about the fact that they are selling a piece of junk. I contacted Samsungs recommended repair company and during the visit, I was advised that no one wants to work on them because they continue to fail even after repairs are made.A faulty refrigerator is a health and safety issue and has the potential to kill. The digital thermometer displays the temperature incorrectly. Perishable food items stored above 40 degrees for more than two hours can grow deadly bacteria. Samsung, you should be ashamed. Unfortunately, today it is all about the dollar, and honor and integrity have no place in the corporate equation. Im not sure why, but I did expect more from Lowes. Next step for me will be a catchy little video on YouTube where I use my Samsung refrigerator as an anchor, pushing it off of a boat with a big blue ribbon tied around it. (Dont worry, Ill make sure not to harm the environment in the process and to hoist it back up and dispose of it properly after the filming.)

I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen about 5 years ago and chose Samsung. That was a huge mistake. I had to replace the microwave after about 3 years. The refrigerator is now the thorn in my side. About every 60 to 90 days I am having to turn it off and completely defrost it due to freezing around the fan. This has been a horrible experience and I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Reading all the reviews online it appears this is a huge problem nationwide. There should be a recall on all of these refrigerators. I am very unhappy customer.

I bought this refrigerator at Best Buy. It was a return/open box, so I was a little concerned going in, but I had no idea what I was in for. For the first 3 weeks, it was great. I loved it. It looks GREAT, especially on the inside with the LED lighting, and the icemaker worked well. Noisy, but they all are. After 3 weeks I noticed water would spurt out the back of the dispenser when I got ice or water, then the next day I noticed my ice cream was soft. The temperature controls still said it was -2, but it obviously wasnt. The next day all the ice was melted. After a runaround at Best Buy, I called Samsung. After a hassle there proving Id just bought the thing, they finally sent someone out to look at it from a local repair shop. The repairman groaned when he saw it and said that most of his calls are for Samsung refrigerators, they break down all the time. He ordered said there was a leak in the coolant line and ordered a dye pack, then came back a couple weeks later to install it, then came back a couple weeks later and looked it over again, ordered another part, then came back and said it was fixed. All was good for 2 weeks, then the freezer went out again. Exact same as it had before. He came back out and said he had to order a couple sensors and a new control board for it. Every visit he made it clear that if we were to just return it and get a different fridge. He wouldnt mind at all that hed ordered the parts for nothing. Hint after hint finally sunk in, and we swapped it out for an LG. When the guys delivered the LG and picked up the Samsung, they laughed at the Samsung and said, Yeah, they have a lot of problems. Especially THAT model. You did right getting the LG. Ive since learned this model has been discontinued, no doubt because of its horrific service record.

Purchased appliance in November of 2017 but did not receive it until December or January. It is now September 14 and I have had the original and 2 replacement ice makers. Now it is frozen again. So now I am going to be getting ice maker number 4. I believe the refrigerator is defective and that is why the ice maker is failing. I want a replacement refrigerator.

3 years ago I bought a Samsung refrigerator. It was the worst investment I ever made. I wanted to buy something that would last me a while. I ended up spending almost $3000 and ended up with junk. The refrigerator worked okay for the first year after that it stopped working at least 6 times. I am so disgusted with Samsung. If I had the resources I would ship it back to their headquarters. Under no circumstance should Samsung be able to get away with manufacturing such a faulty product and not be responsible for the way it performs. The fan went out 4 times already and it is not even 3 years old.

A few years ago, I bought a Samsung oven/range/stove. Today, I pressed the self-clean button. The oven status display started beeping and displayed an error code E-0E and flashed an icon of a padlock. I researched trouble shooting, tried to reset, powered cycled, etc. Nothing worked. The oven no longer works - it only flashes the display - E-0E and there is no way to stop it. I called Samsung and after getting a magnifying glass and super bright light to read the M/C number and serial number ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN, the lady told me the unit was out of warranty (big surprise). She then told me that for about $300.00 (about 40% of the price of the oven), I could buy a warranty and it would cover the repair. I said no - so they transferred me to a service number where they informed me it would cost about $225.00 for a service call to diagnose the problem. I asked them why the oven was equipped with a self-destruct button - and how it is possible that an oven could die after barely 2 years of light use. No answer.

We have an ongoing problem with ice build up under the cooling drawer. We had previously owned a Samsung refrigerator with the same issue, which was due supposedly to a too short heating element at the bottom of the coil. When we purchased our current unit, we were assured that this design problem had been resolved. It has not. I encourage the government to force Samsung to recall these units. We will never purchase another Samsung appliance.

We have a side by side Samsung Refrigerator with freezer drawer on bottom. Its not as big as I had hoped because the ice-maker takes up too much room in the ref section. And it doesnt do a good job of making enough ice. Weve already had to pay over $100 to have the ice maker fixed. Frustrating. Also, the bottom shelf on door never fit properly, has broken several times.

We are on our second refrigerator in less than three years. The first unit had problems with the ice maker so we exchanged it in less than a month. Now we have problems with it icing up in the rear around some fan. Samsung said they would fix it and pay for the parts not labor. But now they refuse to pay for the parts. OTR Samsung Microwave model SMH9207ST - I purchased first microwave in 2012 at Lowes and within the first year the plastic latch on the door handle broke off and the door would not close. Fortunately I was able to replace it at the store with same model. So now after a little over 2 years the panel in bottom right side that has the buttons for light and vent started sticking. After spraying with WD40 they started working again. But last night that ended when all of the buttons just pushed completely in behind the panel. So now it looks bad and I cant turn the vent off or use the light buttons. Like many others, I spent more on this model ($450) because of its stylish looks and because I thought I was getting a quality product... not so!

RF18HFENBSR, less than 8 months old randomly stops cooling in both compartments. Temperature display indicates the SET temperature, not the ACTUAL temperature. No error codes (based on info from web searching the problem). If I unplug it, wait two minutes, then plug it back, the temperature displays will update to show ACTUAL temperature and unit MIGHT start cooling again. First tech determined it was the electrical outlet, so I moved it to another outlet. Since it started working, they decided the case was closed. When unit stop again, I called again. Samsung phone chat support says the unit needs support, but I cant get support to come out in less than a week. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator. According to my web research, this is a known problem with no known fix. Its been a total of three weeks.

Samsung 5 burner gas stove cost approx. $700. Love the 5 burners on the stove. The middle burner is great for simmering or keeping something warm. With having 5th burner I can keep gravy warm while preparing the rest of the meal. Also good for boiling water for eggs. It pays to spend a little more on a good quality stove. You don't want to have to buy another one in two years.

I called Samsung customer service, and was told the sound was Normal. I guess I am not quite understanding normal when it never made this sound before. I just wish Samsung would take our complaints and concerns more seriously. The sound can be heard throughout the house, its as if someone was sitting behind the fridge popping balloons. We never hooked up our ice maker so its not that. I will say that the fridge works fine in every other way. Thanks.

I recently purchased a Samsung gas stove. When I received it the bottom interior panel was defective. There were lines in the finish. I used the oven three times and the finish started to peel off of the stove. I put in a warranty claim and the claim was found to be physical damage and not covered. I paid $3600 for this stove. The defect is not physical damage. Even if it was the finish should not be peeling and flaking off after three uses or not at all! Samsung refuses to send another technician out to document the damage properly. The first technician could not take a decent picture to show the defect or the peeling. I could have taken a better picture myself. I would like Samsung to come back out and properly document and resubmit the claim. Three oven uses and the finish is peeling off! I thought Samsung was a good name. Apparently its not. The smell of the finish burning off the bottom panel cannot be good to be breathing in.

I have just spent the last half hour reading comments on good old Samsung Refrigerator. I have had a problem for the past year and now comes a time. Where do I start? Whats the cost? The digital front settings are being controlled by a ghost; bounces from ice to water, doesnt stop. Cost? Water on the floor. Ice built up on the back of the fridge really thick and water steady on the bottom of the drawers. Cost? Any advice besides throw it to the curb like people have said? Nice fridge; but really, how much money does an average person need to fix repairs? I was going to try and tackle project by myself but will it work or continue the hair dryer every couple of months thawing it out and putting up with dings on the front panel deciding what it wants to do? Any suggestions? Obviously not after reading the reviews. Would never recommend Samsung to anyone. Bad, bad choice I am just fed up with this problem. Thanks Samsung for the Lemon.

The Samsung fridge was selected because a counter-depth was required. After much research on issues with refrigerators it was clear that an in-door ice/water dispenser causes significant service calls, so we wanted to avoid that feature. In addition to a counter-depth our space would also only allow for a 33 inch wide appliance which means the cubic feet is reduced which is fine as we dont have a need for a huge machine. The drawback with this new fridge is the internal ice-bucket design. It is very difficult to remove the bucket and not spill ice.

We paid almost $700.00 for this dw80f600uts dishwasher, first trouble within 6 months of installation. We contacted Samsung. We basically got the run-around until the dishwasher was out of warranty. They told us they would send a technician but we were never contacted back. We have an extremely busy schedule and I cannot afford to take a day off work so someone can look at my dishwasher. This dishwasher was one of the more expensive dishwashers when we purchased it. We were told it was extremely high quality, better than BOSCH which was in the same price range. We had a Bosch at our old home. It lasted 6 years (may still be running today?) without a problem.

FTQ353IWUX - There is a major defect in these appliances due to a combination of factors. First: all the wiring near the oven upper element is exposed to extreme heat that has damaged all the wiring plastic insulation by drying it, severely causing cracks that have exposed the bare wires. This may be contributing to the frequent cases of fire since arcs may be happening. Also, at the main board, the plug that controls the broiler temp. settings is prone to sticking and overheating, causing it to catch fire. Amazing some appliance like this has not been recalled by the government. Everyone should unplug these units and remove the back cover to visually inspect the wiring insulation near the fans. All these wires are going to show damage, cracks and longitudinal fissures exposing the wires.

I contacted Samsung Customer Service about an issue with staining on the inside of the glass on our two month old slide in range. I was told that the issue was not covered by the warranty. That it was normal for air, steam and possible grease particles to flow through the vent above the glass. I was told that it should accumulate on the inside of the glass. I was told that it could be cleaned by a service technician at my expense. I told Samsung if this was a continual problem that it was a design defect. I did not have this problem with either a GE or Frigidaire Range. I was assigned a ticket number. They called a service center in Myrtle Beach. The Service Center refused to come and service the stove even though I would be paying for a service call and the repair. Samsung reassigned this repair to another Service Center. They too refused to make the service call. Samsung has assigned this to a third Service Center. I have not heard from them as of today. If they also refuse to make the repair I have advised Samsung they need to find another approach to solving this problem.Updated on 06/26/2015This is an update on our Samsung range. First the good points: It is nice looking. It functions as intended, that is you can cook on the stove top, you can bake, roast or broil. The bad points: While the self cleaning feature works, it discolored and stained the glass in the oven door. Samsungs position is that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. If I want to get rid of the stains I would need to get one of their service contractors to come out, take the door apart and clean the glass. Another option would be to replace the door. The door is poorly designed. It draws air through the grill on the front and exhausts the air through the back. I dont know of any other slide range that does that. We have own two others - a Frigidaire and a GE. Neither had this problem during cleaning.I contacted the service department at Samsung. They were pleasant and helpful in setting up an appointment to clean the glass at my expense. The problem was that the service contractors did not want to clean the glass. Their concern was possible breakage of the glass, which they would have to replace. They also claimed that they could not assure me that the glass would fit tightly once removed. Samsung went through four (4) service contractors. Not one of them wanted to clean the glass. Two of them were willing to replace the door at my expense. The cost of which made it more appealing to buy a new stove. It would not be a Samsung, believe me.

Their own authorized repair depot says they can put in a new water pump but wont guarantee it because my dishwasher is 2 farther to the right than is usual. That is, frankly nonsense. Theyve been here twice, then told me to hire a plumber to fix his mess. That cost another $185.00. They cannot diagnose the problem. With all the testing the steam peeled the laminate off my brand new cabinets. This dishwasher is nothing more than a money pit. My regular service man refused to service it saying that Samsung is garbage. No wonder it is so quiet. They may have well have put in a water pistol than that ineffective pump that is in there. I will never buy another Samsung appliance as long as I live. It has never worked. I stopped using it after the first week because the dishes came out as dirty as they went in, and has been sitting there for cosmetic reasons until I thought I might have it looked at. I purchased this horrible Samsung refrigerator Model RF263BEABC from a local appliance company on 9/12/16. The sales person was really pushing the Samsung as being the greatest of all brands made. LOL. Then it started making a horrible loud gun-like popping/cracking noises at different times of the day. The popping is so loud it would wake me up at night and my sister said it sounded scary. I called the place I purchased and was told to call Samsung and it was not their problem. So I called and was told it was a normal sound from the temperature in the house adjusting with the refrigerator? It still has not gotten any better so called them back and was told it would get better after the unit gets older? Today I called back to Samsung and informed the of a so called recall notice was sent out secretly in 9/16 to appliance techs about the popping noises and that they need to call for the parts to repair it. Well the man told me that was not true and no such recall was issued. This POS refrigerator was made in MEXICO. Beware of Samsung products. They are of poor quality and they are bunch of LIARS.

I have now removed the control box about 10 times. One night, it again went into code SE which makes the unit beep incessantly. My wife had to get up to fiddle with the panel and eventually unplug the unit to make it stop beeping. She was mad. The following night she made me unplug the microwave before going to bed to insure that she was not going to be woken up. Eighteen months later, the motor gearing that turns the turntables spindle got loose. I glued it back on. Today it showed a different code: child lock on, child lock off. I looked in the manual for the unlock code. Press and hold the start button for 3 seconds. Dumb! This is the most used button and the first one to fail. I removed the control panel again and attempted to remove the membrane switches. They are glued into the panel and are not replaceable or available from the parts department. I have to purchase the whole faceplate for the above mentioned cost of $76. Of course, I have no assurances that the defective part has been redesigned, so I am not going to spend additional money purchasing a new defective panel. What else is going to break in this horrible microwave? The variety of the failures confirmed my suspicions of horrible design and built, probably rushed to the market to make more money. The saddest part of all this is that I replaced my 18-year old microwave simply because the front plastic case parts had broken or become to worn out to look clean. I should have kept it and never purchased this Samsung. I will never buy any Samsung products ever again. I wish I could get my money back to purchase a decent microwave.

Worst refrigerator EVER! Within a couple of months the bottom plastic piece cracked, there was ice in the bottom of the pull out drawer that froze, and NOW... The entire freezer quit and I lost tons of food! Since it is a dual cooling system my refrigerator section is also warm. I complained to Samsung and was informed that I put a heavy item on the bottom and thats why the plastic cracked. NOT!!! Ive had refrigerators for years and NONE OF THEM EVER CRACKED!!! Even if I did put a 22-pound turkey on it! BOTTOM LINE: PIECE OF CRAP!!! DO NOT BUY! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model: RF25HMEDB6SA back
We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model: RF25HMEDB6SA back in August of 2014 and started experiencing issues 18 months ago. Water was leaking from ice maker into crisper. Ice maker was also freezing up and required defrosting. Also, the refrigerator began making a churning noise so we finally contacted Samsung to get the appliance serviced. They sent a technician from their authorized repair company (HSN) on 6/1. The representative from the company said that it was a bad sensor that needed to be replaced and should not have any more issues. Within 10 days, the churning sound was worse than ever. Called them back, same technician fixed the issue again. Wrong!Long story short, Ive had several interactions with Samsung and their service company with no positive results. Even though I had $200 invested in the repair with Samsung/HSN, I decided to contact a reputable company to diagnose the issue. They informed me that the service company did not follow the service bulletins that Samsung published. The cost to deploy the fixes that Samsung recommended would be over $1K for an appliance that I paid $2400 for not even four years ago! We are now buying a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy another Samsung product. Terrible product and dishonest company.

I have Samsung Dishwasher. It was having problems of not completing the wash cycle during warranty period. It took couple of visits for technician to repair the problem. But it was fixed temporarily. After 3-4 months dishwasher has again same problem. Now they are telling warranty is over and they cannot repair under warranty. This is faulty product and have seen many customers complaining about same problem. Hope they had replaced the unit while had the issue during warranty or repaired it properly. Very disappointed with Samsungs customer service???

We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?

I bought this Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBSR/aa in Nov 2014. The freezer door handle insert failed in Dec 2016. I have spent 2 months working with a repair tech, Samsung parts, and Samsung (Lack of) Customer. This small approximately $10 part has been discontinued. The only option is to spend $389 for a new freezer door and $125 to install it. My service tech (5 star rated) reported he spoke to the Samsung techs and determined Samsung has known about this problem for several years. It appears sells products with known defects, but does not want to support the customers. He also reported there are other Samsung parts which have been discontinued for relatively new units. The scroll compressor has a 10 year warranty. What good is that warranty if the rest of the refrigerator falls apart? By the way, the local authorized Samsung service company received an F rating from the BBB.

If I knew then what I know now about the poor workmanship on this unit I would have not purchased a Samsung. Of all the refrigerators I have purchased over the years this one is the worst. Ice maker constantly freezing up, water leaks under the crispy drawer and freezes up to a point where we can’t open drawer. Need to remove drawer and chip away the ice to free the drawer temporary until the need to break away the ice again, about once every 3 to 4 weeks. Totally disappointed with my Samsung refrigerator and would not recommend any of my friends or family members to purchased one.

Just over three months later the ice maker went out again and I missed the warranty date by three days, so Im asked to pay another $495 for a new one. Called Samsung, of course the warranty just expired and they wanted me to buy a new one... I refused... They gave me a service order number and the phone number for the repair company servicing our location... He could not come out for 3 weeks just to check it and see what the problem was... When I told him I would find someone else, he sounded relieved... I did find another company to come out which took 2 trips because the back is so fragile you have to get all the ice melted before they can work on it... They replaced the evaporation fan motor... Now 2 months later the control panel is going to have to be replaced along with another new fan motor...

We have the same problem that a lot of the consumers had. Our fridge makes this grinding sound that just kept getting louder to the point where it would freak out my dog. We shut it off to defrost whatever ice was built up on the fan and when I yanked the bottom drawer (which by the way is always stuck by the ice built up) a sheet of ice about an inch thick fell on my foot causing a gash on it. Luckily my little Yorkie jumped out of the way otherwise shed be dead. So please be careful when defrosting the damn fridge.

We find this refrigerator answers all our needs especially with the snack drawer. It is very attractive also. This Samsung refrigerator has lots of room with variable adjustable shelving, deep bins, and a deep freezer drawer on the bottom. The water/ice dispenser is invaluable and has the option of cubes or crushed ice. The only maintenance needed is replacing the water filter every six months. Great size and value for a family.

I purchased a package deal of appliances on black Friday 2013. We were to be getting our kitchen remodeled in Jan. 2014. The remodeling didnt get started on schedule, our appliances had been delivered to Best Buy and they were in their way so we allowed them to deliver in Feb. 2014. We stored them until the remodeling job was complete. The appliances were installed in July 2014. One month after installation the delicate light was flashing. Im thinking OK maybe its me doing something wrong, it wasnt. I finally called and it was repaired under warranty in Sept. 2014. They replaced the sensor and the PC board. They replaced one, a day later we called and they came back out and replaced the other. It worked fine until about 2-4 weeks ago, the delicate light again is flashing. According to the book that came with it and Samsung employees it is a draining issue. It drains fine, so I dont believe that is the issue. Even though it was installed 8 months ago and repaired 2 Xs already and another repairman coming out this Friday, April 17, 2015, it is no longer under warranty! I believe I too got a lemon, and told them so while on the phone. They did tell me today, if I could prove that it wasnt installed until July 2014 to send them the papers and MAYBE they would do something. I am so aggravated with this dishwasher (DW80F600UTS)!!! Knock on wood, so far my microwave, electric stove and frig work great. Unless Samsung makes this right with me, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE SAMSUNG AGAIN AND I WILL CONVINCE FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOT TO PURCHASE THEM EITHER!!!

NewSamsung Dishwasher Model DW80F600UTS lots of different issues. From Day 1 hasnt worked properly. Steam vent under front of door wasnt shutting off, so water would leak out the front. HEAVY light started blinking, and pump wouldnt turn off, power wouldnt turn off, either. Had to turn off at breaker. Dried out the flood pan and sensor, and saw moisture on the water intake hose coupling, so tightened that. That helped for a week, then it went off again. Seems to be leaking out of tub, not hose. Luckily, still under warranty so service is coming in a few days.SERVICE: Parts take 10 days!! So the repair guy comes, figures out what is wrong, then has to order the part and come again. It can be 2 weeks before you can use your new dishwasher again! When I talk to the service company (that is not Samsung, but certified to do their repairs), they make it sound like they know exactly what the problem is before they come out - leading me to believe they had a lot of this problem!! Never will buy a Samsung appliance again! Wish I had come here first to read the complaints.

We purchased our Samsung dishwasher in late 2014. It needed repair within three months when water was not pumping out of the bottom of the unit. The repairman said that it was a common problem... so common that he usually had several of the replacement parts on his truck. This time he didnt so it took two trips so there was a total of almost two weeks without the machine. Since then the dishwasher has been very noisy and I should probably call the repairman again but I figure something else will go wrong sooner or later. We did purchase a Lowes extended warranty. I find that the machine is hard to load. Perhaps I should have taken one of my plates to the store to try it out. It cleans ok... not remarkable but no major complaints especially if I wash things well before I put them in. I am sorry that I bought this item.

Apparently I am not the only one that has had this problem. Im entirely appalled at the prospect of my 4-year old, my 7-year old, and I drinking ice water that has plastic and metal particles and pieces in it. At this point, I am not even sure how long we have been drinking contaminated product. My refrigerator is right around 3.5 years old, so it is not under parts warranty any longer, but I am confused as to why there hasnt been a recall on these icemakers? Another consumers review fits my situation exactly besides the timeline of events. I would also like to know the composition of the materials that were being sloughed off into our drinks. I just found this problem today and Samsung Customer Service is trying to make me buy new parts and pay for installation. My main concern is for my health and the health of other consumers, and in my opinion, there needs to be a recall for these ice makers and some sort of compensation due. Not just a, Well, your warranty is up, so here pay more money for some parts that probably wont fix the issue. No thank you. I have included my own photos of the plastic shaving and plastic/metal particles.

Purchased our refrigerator (RF23HCED) a little over two years ago. Problems right away. So happy we added the five year Service Contract when purchasing. The design of the drawers is such that they are extremely difficult to remove for cleaning. The vegetable drawer has places where dirt gets into but you can’t reach to clean. Gross! And then there are the ice makers. Both have been replaced already. Still the top ice maker barely functions. The serviceman and I are like personal friends. I would NOT recommend this refrigerator! Just replaced the o-ring in drain housing at a cost of $38 for an o-ring. Now water level sensor is on. You just go through one thing to another. We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model
We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model so that the cold cuts and handy things are in a middle drawer. Great features, and electronic controls provide good feedback that all is working. Bright interior LEDs. Ice maker and water dispenser. The functions and features sold it for us. Within months, the door shelves were cracking. We are not abusive, just placing milk. The plastic is brittle. The shelf bottom will crack and the tabs that hold the door can come apart, which drops it on the floor. Had to buy two new shelves. I bought Styrene plastic sheets from a hobby store, cut and sandwiched them to the drawers in weak areas (using MEK), for reinforcement which solved that issue. Never experienced such poor plastic (HIPS) in a $2000 appliance... or even a $500 unit.At about 3 years old, the fridge starts to buzz inside, and ice is visible in the interior back panel. Ice is encroaching on the evaporator fan. I removed the back panel to access the evaporator coil. Solid ice in the upper half of the coil. As if the defrost heater doesnt work. In fact, the defrost heater does work. Could not find any fault in the defrost thermo-disk, and all temperature sensors measured OK. Heater works too (120 Ohms). Changed the defrost thermo-disk anyway and really defrosted and dried out the cover using a hair dryer. Fridge ran fine for 8 months. Repeat. Turns out the defroster only takes care of the lower half of the evaporator coil! Design flaw. Once you start hearing the fan buzzing, the ice is building in the upper half of the evaporator coil. Once the fan gets stopped, everything including the styrofoam turns into a block of ice. You can thaw out the styrofoam and remove the ice. Or replace that back cover and styrofoam until another humid time when it will freeze up again (design flaw). Ive now defrosted it manually about 6 or 7 times, using every opportunity to measure and determine why this is happening. Ive checked all on-line videos and advice to solve these freeze up issues and attempted those that make sense (cause-effect). I have a power datalogger monitoring the fridge electrical consumption so I can evaluate how often and for how long it defrosts. Taken it on as a riddle.I did contact Samsung early in this process. They sounded concerned, but when the customer service rep check with their manager, they stated I must have been abusive to cause plastic to crack. No warranty. Yeah right. Im gluing everything together. Today, another roller wheel broke off... glued it back on. The freeze issues started right after warranty. Glad I can trouble shoot and fix myself, else the cost would be crazy. Now Im looking at modifications to prevent the evap coil from freezing up again. Whether you are a technical person or not... its not worth the trouble.... Dont let Samsung glitz sucker you in! It is a lemon. Wife hates it too.

The worst fridge imaginable! Avoid purchasing a Samsung fridge with exterior ice & water dispenser. We have the French door version (not our first weve had LG in the past) and since Day 1 it has caused us grief and damaged our hardwood floors. The water dispenser nozzle is bent towards the fridge instead of straight down (default setting apparently according to Samsung), and dispenses water with such force that no matter what you do, you end up with water shooting back at you and ultimately onto the floor. Similar problems with the ice dispenser. Although it is always on CUBE setting, shards of ice always spill forth in all directions, ultimately ending up on the floor. We have had to place a tea towel beside the fridge to wipe up the floors EACH TIME we use either ice or water dispenser. Both water and ice dispensers have damaged our hardwood floors over time, and we have had this fridge for only 7 months! Calling Samsung warranty and repair is a nightmare too; disorganized group of customer service representatives who patch you through to another department, ultimately making you repeat the reason why you are calling in the first place. (Why Samsung doesnt have a customer complaint database accessible to all customer service reps is shocking to me.)Ultimately through Samsung we had a visit from a Samsung Certified Repair technician who fiddled around with a couple things and attempted to convince us all was good. We still have the same problems. I am going to work on returning this fridge. How anyone can purchase an appliance that damages your house AND requires you to do extra work is beyond comprehension. We purchased the fridge at Sears Canada and I will be fighting tooth and nail to exchange this for an LG.

Why do people submit reviews after owning a dishwasher for only 2 months is beyond me. Of course its going to run great! After 1 year they will be singing a different song. Its so quiet now BECAUSE ITS BROKEN!!! I have a 0 decibel DW now, the dishwasher is completely dead. I paid $700 for this dishwasher. I repaired the inlet valve sensor, case assy, and main relay board. I finally gave up after coming across some fine dishwasher from WP on Black Friday. I have a Samsung fridge and its acting up too. Samsung RF28HFEDTBC/AA Refrigerator - Samsung refused to post my comments citing it violated comment guidelines. This a dual ice maker refrigerator, one in the upper compartment with external dispensing and one in the lower freezer compartment with a tray. I called Samsung Service with one complaint: the upper ice maker dispenses ground up white ice and snow when cubed is selected (However, a second issue was discovered by technician - see below).Service told me several times that white ice is considered normal because upper dispenser freezes so fast and traps air and that during dispensing occasionally two cubes may be smashed together and broken. I requested warranty service because this was not occasional crushed ice but nearly half was crushed and a lot of snow came with the ice. Service technician repeated the mantra on the white ice and occasional crushing but also applied sealer on the ice maker to reduce air infiltration from refrigerator compartment. It has been more than a week since and nothing has changed. The upper ice maker still dispenses crushed white ice and snow. I can only assume this is normal for Samsung...this has never been the case with other front ice dispensing refrigerators I have owned.Second issue discovered by technician. The lower drawer was not extending fully making unloading and loading the lower freezer very difficult. Installers did not catch it and I thought it was normal. The technician jerked the drawer to the side and pulled it out very hard and now it opens about twice as far as it did. Much better. He said this was a common problem due to drawer alignment. Aside from the upper ice maker white ice and snow now the refrigerator works fine. I tried to be honest and forthright and gave it an average rating due to what I consider to be a fundamental design shortcoming and Samsung refused to post on their comment site.

Some of the plastic parts just snap and break apart. All of my plastic drawers for vegetables/fruits and frozen foods broke and are held together with rubber bands. The rinse cycle is not working properly as the dishes come out dirtier than when they were put in.According to the last service tech who was here 2 DAYS AGO, it is caused by the companies trying to go greener with the machines. What use are they if they do not do what they are supposed to. I am currently using both the detergent and rinse agent they recommended and now I also am supposed to buy another product - Finish dishwasher booster. I have an issue with the chemicals as they cause me health problems so I am assuming that we bought an expensive floor ornament and will have to go back to washing dishes by hand.

Microwave broke under warranty (4 months old). Called Samsung and they dispatched local appliance technicians. The local technicians indicated they cannot repair the microwave and requested the microwave be replaced. The Samsung customer service center responded they will not replace the microwave. Samsungs response is to keep sending replacement parts to try. In some cases Samsung has sent the same part twice. At this point my microwave has been under repair for 6+ weeks and no resolution. Samsung has absolutely terrible respect for their clients or the advice of the service technicians. Even if repaired I worry about the safety of the product post repair as I have seen reports on this site of Samsung microwaves catching fire. Terrible service from Samsung in respecting their product warranty. Do yourself a favor and purchase another brand of appliance.

My fiancé and I left our home with our daughter at approximately 8 AM this morning for work. We had both spent significant time in the kitchen before leaving and the microwave (SMH9187ST) was properly functioning (displaying the time, no one had used it since the night before.) When we returned around 5:30 PM, there was an electrical smoke smell emanating in the house. My fiancé immediately followed the smell to the kitchen, where he saw our Samsung microwave was smoking and the clock was not displaying. Upon opening the microwave, we observed more smoke and the scorched insides of the microwave. The glass turn table had shattered and there was a charred hole in the rear of the interior. There was obvious scorching up the back of the unit as well as on the top. He immediately opened the cabinet above the over-the-range microwave and unplugged it. There was no one in the house during the day, except our dog and 2 cats. The unit appears to have spontaneously combusted. After researching this model, I cannot believe it has been allowed to remain in homes this long after so many reports of damage, fire, and potential disasters. We are seriously lucky our home did not burn down with our pets inside today. Our daughter turns 1 tomorrow and is usually home with the babysitter, luckily she was not home today. I dont even want to think about how badly this could have ended for me and my family.

I bought a Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French door refrigerator 12/11/15 and it is not working correctly. I called an authorized repairman and they have replaced the ice maker, ice bin, auger for ice maker, some kind of filter on the back and it is still the same. They now say I need 2 defroster 1 for the top and 1 for the freezer. I have already spent a lot of money on this sorry refrigerator. The ice maker is still freezing up, dripping water and not keeping proper temperature. I am very unhappy with all this on a 1 1/2 year old refrigerator. My repairman wont even answer my calls now.

Purchased a Samsung convection microwave oven for 299 Sing dollars and the very first day I wanted to bake muffins. Heavy smoke came out of the oven and filled the whole kitchen and spread to other rooms. I panicked and switched off and called the company. They said the technician can come only after two days. Then the technician arrived and said the coil has gone and replaced it. By then, the back of the oven looked all burned out. I wanted a replacement as it was on extended warranty, but the repair person said that it will not have any more issues. Tried to bake again, this time, the cake was not cooked in the middle, only the sides were cooked and it was all a mess. My previous oven was Sharp convection, used it for 9 years without any problem. I will never buy the Samsung oven again and will not recommend to anyone.

In September 2009, I purchased the whole 9 yards of Samsung. I purchased the microwave over the oven, the oven, the dishwasher and the refrigerator - costing me a total of $6000... Last year, I replaced the microwave, and I learned my lesson and purchased the extended warranty. The only OTHER issue I had which is MAJOR and a reason for me to probably bring my business elsewhere, as I will never say never buy Samsung again, is my refrigerator RF266ABRS, 26 cu ft stainless steel French door with the bottom freezer. The first problem I had with the freezer was within the first year I had purchased it - the ice maker was not making ice into cubes but into chunks. They had the technician fix it in no time. Then in March 2013, the freezer was giving us a negative reading of -2; however, when I unplugged the freezer and plugged it back in, it then said 34 degrees. No wonder all my food thawed out and ice was melted. So we called. Samsung said if it’s a sealed system issue, then it will be covered. They set up a transaction number with Va Electronics, who called me and said I had to pay $125 for diagnostics. After kicking my feet, I finally paid, as they could care less. I spoke with the technician as he stated, there is a slow leak causing only my fridge to be cool but not enough to cool the freezer. I asked if the leak should happen again. He said it shouldnt for another 3 years, so okay...I went about my business for 95 days until I opened the freezer to notice all the food had thawed out again!!! So I called Samsung. You name it. I’ve spoken with them, from Krishonda, Boris to Allison. You name it. I’ve spoken to them and every department. Yes, they gave me the roundabout... Hahaha... I was beyond frustrated; I was in tears and handed the phone off to my husband and told him to speak with them. As I was going back and forth with Samsung and Va Electronics, both saying two completely different things and saying, well, ask Samsung and ask Va Electronics... Eventually, someone needs to own up to this defective product that we, as consumers, are initially paying anywhere from $1900 to $3000 to begin with. It makes you think twice when it is time to purchase a new one. Overall, the experience I am dealing with Samsung and Va electronics is leaving a bad taste in my mouth, but it makes me grateful to know that, compared to their customer service, I am like a GOD at what I do. Thanks for doing a bad job. :)

I got an SE or 5E error message on my Samsung SMH9187ST the other day and I didnt know what to do. I tried the unplug/replug but I am not very handed with repairs and did not want to try anything else. Of course I purchased the microwave in Dec 2010 and didnt get the extended warranty but did not think I would have to. I tried the live chat and was able to get the representative who had heard about this issue multiple times and stated:The control panel will be replaced free of charge as part of the warranty. In the event that the control box requires replacement, the issue cant be recreated during the service visit or the issue is determined to be anything other than the SE error code, it will be an out-of-warranty repair and you will be responsible for any costs. Do you consent to these terms?I replied, I purchased this in 2010 so I am sure it is out the warranty time frame. I have been looking this issue up on the internet and there are many complaints about this issue and Samsung has been willing to make this repairs even if it is out the warranty. Yes, that is correct, the issue will be repaired as per the above consent. Well we will see what happens and hopefully Samsung will step up and make the necessary repairs.

The fridge has consistently been leaking water at the left corner of the fridge and the front panel under the ice dispenser and inside the door. Did some research and discovered there are thousands of people on the web and facebook at SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR RECALL U.S.A. NOW making the same complaints. There are also lots of people posting photos of reimbursement checks for Samsung products including my fridge but not after months of hassle. I purchased a Samsung 5.9 cu. ft. electric range from Sears outlet (certified). After 90 days, the range wouldnt turn on, all functions stopped. The computer board is defective. Samsung didnt honor the warranty as it was out of the box. Sears, even though has a warranty for a year on all products purchased in their store, required that we buy additional warranty contract. With that, they ordered the part from overseas, and we have been waiting for 7 weeks with no range. Samsung does not provide parts to their range. For the range to fail within 90 days is a major defect. Sears outlet dont honor their warranty.

I have been trying to get a refrigerator repaired for 2 weeks. The serviceman who initially came to look at it said Samsung is having a lot of problems with it, but is not doing anything about it. I have spoken to customer service at least 20 times. I have spent many hours on hold, and been disconnected at least 4 times. I have also been told they cannot connect me to a manager, because there were none available. They have finally agreed to pay for the repair, but are unable to find the part to fix a 4 year old fridge in less than 4 weeks. I have been told many times my case will be escalated to the next level, but it never is. I have also been told is it approved for a replacement, but no one can ever seem to figure out how to get that commitment into the computer, so nothing ever happens. The customer service people are only able to type the problem into their computer, never to do anything to fix it. If I hear I understand one more time, Im going to kill someone. It is by far the most incompetent, useless customer service department I have ever dealt with. Couple that with an appliance that is of very poor quality, please avoid it at all costs.

Samsung refuses to honor warranty. 4 door refrigerator RF23J9011SG/AA. [ New ] As a loyal user of Samsung products from 3 tvs, 3 phones, and 2 refrigerators I expected when I purchased my beautiful 4 door refrigerator that I would enjoy the same top quality that I have always had with Samsung products. After less than two years of service, my 4 door refrigerator, that cost over $3,000 has developed an issue. The bottom (Freezer section) is working fine but the top (fridge) section is now hot. Since the warranty on the compressor and associated parts is 5 years I thought that, although anything can have an issue, Samsung would honor the warranty to repair the unit. They did agree to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator so I was pleased that they would honor their warranty. The interesting part is that the technician only removed the inside panel at the back of the fridge to inspect the coil and fan area. The only test that he did was to unplug a temp sensor and plug one in that he brought to see if the compressor would kick on, which it did not. He also took some pictures of the inside of the fridge and sent them in, he said, to a Samsung technician who, in turn from some unknown location determined that the problem is Environmental because of a small section of copper tubing at the top of the coil has some green corrosion on it (Not the Coil itself). I was confused because this is what copper does when exposed to moisture (inside the fridge) and air. The technician told me that he was not sure but that is what Samsung said. He then removed the panels covering the electronics on the back of the fridge, tested absolutely nothing other than seeing if the LED lights were on and then told me there was nothing that he could do because it is from an environmental problem. The problem with this theory is, #1 copper turns green when exposed to air and moisture, very common and expected. Secondly, if it were an environmental issue then the copper lines on the back of the unit leading to the compressors (there are 2, one for freezer, one for fridge) would be corroded since they are ACTUALLY exposed to the Environment and off course, they are not corroded but look absolutely new. Fast forward today, one week later, and I paid Mr. Appliance to come out and actually diagnose the fridge issue. The problem is that there is an issue with the compressor. And, as I expected, they told me that the idea of environmental issues causing this is absolutely ridiculous. They did, however kindly offer me an estimate of almost $1,000 to repair it. Very disappointed with Samsungs handling of this situation, by the attitude of the tech they sent out, it almost seems as though they intended to find any reason possible not to honor their own warranty.

Purchased a Samsung oven June 5, 2016. Within 18 months the finish on the inside started peeling off. If you pull out the oven racks the finish is off, the bottom of the oven the finish is off. We paid $ 1700.00 for this oven and of course Samsung will not do anything, they say its cosmetic. Regardless if it is cosmetic or not an oven should last longer than 18 months, unless it is not meant to be used for baking or cooking. And of course if the powder coating is peeling then the cooking temp, will vary which it does, have hotspots. Samsung does not care about their customers, they sell crappy products. Don’t buy Samsung! They are not responsible nor do they take ownership for their manufacturers defects. After only 3 years all 5 knobs have broken on my range purchased Dec 31 2015. I cannot use the range and Samsung refuses to acknowledge ownership for poor quality or replace the knobs. It is a simple task that costs less than $5 yet they are willing to lose business over $5. It seems they do not value their customers. In 25 years I have never had any knob break on my ranges. Even the cheapest of Frigidaire ranges are sturdier and better built than this Samsung model that I purchased through Costco for $1,100. Very disappointed in Samsung’s customer service. All my appliances are Samsung (dishwasher, fridge, tv, phone, etc) and this is the customer loyalty they show. Disgraceful. The service call was escalated and they still refused to even make a compromise. “I’m sorry, that’s what the 1 year warranty is for,” doesn’t seem to cut it. They have lost a long time customer.

The price to fix the unfixed fridge now exceeds what I paid for it. We purchased our Samsung RFG297AAWP French door refrigerator in June of 2009. When it was delivered and hooked up the freezer did not work. Three days later a new box was delivered and hooked up. About 2 years later the ice maker quit working and we discovered ice build up under the large deli drawer. We gave up on the ice maker because we knew that was a problem with a lot of refrigerators and started making ice in. We had a plumber come out and put a cutoff in the line to stop the water. He used a piercing type of cut off which did not work so still had water. Last week the freezer quit and we lost all the food. We had a repairman come out (Samsung recommended). He was quite good and only charged $40.00 but the bad news is that there are several computer boards on the back and after some research he found that other repair people had gone through the board changing and the freezer still did not work. We would have been out that expense and still no freezer. He would have changed out the boards for us but we still would have had the water problem in the fridge. It was 6 years old, and it was his belief that we had a blockage in the refrigerant in the freezer evaporator. The compressor was working fine for the evaporator for the refrigerator. Our last refrigerator was 10 years old, 6 years ago, and it is still going strong in my sisters basement where they use it to freeze their garden produce. I ordered a new refrigerator yesterday, not a Samsung and truly would not recommend Samsung refrigerators to anyone. I really cant believe that they are a refrigerator that is pushed by Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.

Purchased my Samsung electric range in January of 2015. It has been a year and a half, and the Samsung silver letters located right under the panel that contains the clock, baking settings, and so forth have peeled completely off, the white circles on top of the range that denote where to place the pan/pot are fading. I was very excited to get this new appliance, and have tried to keep the stovetop as clean as possible. I have only used recommended cleaners for this kind of range, Needless to say, I now have permanent burn spots and I cannot get rid of them. When I clean now, I have to be extremely careful. They gave me the name of several repair facilities none of which were still in business or willing to come to my town which by the way is not large but still has 60,000 people living in it. Samsung does not provide any service whatsoever once a product is out of warranty. I was put on hold for 40 minutes - tried talking to a supervisor who promised to call me back with a list of repair facilities and they never did. I spent almost $4000 on this range and after two years it has broken and I cannot get it serviced. I am building a new home and will never ever again by Samsung appliances. I could have lived with a quality issue but not with the absolute zero service and willing to help issue. I purchased this microwave from Home Depot in Squamish BC, and have not stopped regretting it after numerous and non-stop issues. The power level button has never worked, the magnetron broke, the machine ran continuously without shutting off, it displayed multiple error codes. The sensor pad, key pad and magnetron (everything but the fan and light) were all replaced within the 1st year, costing much more than replacing it and the same issues are still happening now just outside of warranty. I was told I could purchase a extended warranty any time within the 1st year and was not able to after many attempts. After much complaining and pressure, Home Depot did advocate for me to get a new replacement unit but was not successful. This horrible experience could have been far less stressful if not for the inflexible and unreasonable policy of Samsung. The many agents I spoke with were polite and understanding but completely unable to provide reasonable customer service due to the strict, wasteful and outrageous Samsung repair rules policies and guidelines. I am awaiting to hear back from them after another phone call but based on the last year of my experience with this appliance, am not holding my breath. I hope this review saves someone else from this very frustrating experience. There are hundreds of videos on youtube and complaints highlighting the same issues we have had with our machine. These appliances seem to be consistent lemons.
