I bought a Samsung refrigerator model RS2530BBP/XAA less than three years ago. Last year before it was even two years old, I had to have it serviced for freezing up. I spent $200 to have it defrosted by a repairman. I had lost around $250 worth of food. Now less than a year since having it repaired, it started making a loud noise. And then I noticed after being gone to work all day that the freezer had quit working and all my meat was defrosted. I had to throw away another $200 of food lost. Samsung is no help at all. I called and of course, they said I would have to pay again to have it serviced. This is a load of crap. They dont stand behind their products. Im a single mom and when I bought this $1,100 refrigerator, I thought it would last me at least 10+ years as my other refrigerators all have. I will never buy Samsung products again and hope I can get the word out about their products. They are junk. When I just had this refrigerator serviced less than a year ago, it has always made weird noises and I knew that wasnt supposed to be that loud.

My less than 5 year old Samsung range, model# NX58H5650WS caught on fire when I used the self clean feature for the first time. Within 15 minutes the oven started emitting white smoke. Then flames appeared. Had to call the fire department to come and pry the door open to put out the fire, since the door locks automatically when the self clean feature is turned on. They claim this is a safety feature. Not so sure. I couldnt put out the fire myself. This was a gas range and was afraid of an explosion. I will never ever buy another Samsung product. My Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher and now the range are all lemons. I bought the service contract for 5 years and the servicemen have been out to fix the refrigerator and dishwasher at least 10 times. But the range took the cake. I almost burned down my house. Very upset as to how these appliances can be sold. Had to put a $10,000 claim into my insurance company so that ServPro could come out and get the smoke damage and smell out of my house. Beware of these cheap Samsung appliances. If I could give these products a zero star rating I would.

We bought new home and furnished with new Samsung kitchen appliances. Within the first four weeks, my wife start to notice tiny rust spots inside sheet metal tub of dishwasher. We called Lowes where we had purchased the appliances. The Lowes sales associate called Samsung dealer support customer service and they scheduled an in-home technician visit. The technician cancelled the appointment 2 hours before showing up and re-scheduled again. I took time off from work during week day for the technician visit. When technician showed up, he assessed that it is in fact rusting. He has seen parts corroded before but never this fast on the sheet metal. He said he can fix/repair things but with rust he cannot do anything. The unit needs to be exchanged. I asked him to take pictures for his documentation which he was not thinking off so he did. I waited a week but did not hear anything. So, I called and put on hold for half hour because Samsung customer service said they cannot locate any information on technician visit and they are now tracking him down. After half hour gone, I asked the agent to sort this internal between Samsung departments and get back to me. Another week gone by, no one followed up so I called again. This time was exact repeat of week before, put on hold again for half hour and still no information available from technicians visit. Like the week before, the agent asked me of the name of technician who visited our house. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and told the agent that this is something Samsung should know why customer has to call each week to sort out Samsung internal process. As a customer, I expect resolution of my problem not to help Samsung of their back office issues. I expect someone to take ownership of the issue, follow-up with whomever and get back. I ended called after half hour when agent could not locate the technician or any details of his visit. Later in the evening, I called again to see if the agent was able to find technician or find any information, the result was same. However, agent promised that someone call me next business day without me calling them back.I received a call from Samsung executive customer service that they now have the findings of the technician and indeed there dishwasher is getting rust. However, the cannot offer any exchange because the rust is cosmetic issue and they cannot offer any exchange. They cannot offer any other option and suggested to consult with the retailer. When I asked who is going to reimburse for installation cost of the dishwasher, I was told that Samsung will not reimburse. When I asked, who will reimburse for my time including time off from work for in-home technician visit and subsequent calls over three week dealing with this lemon? The answer was sorry we dont offer anything. I asked to speak to senior leadership; I was told there is no one that the agent can forward the call to.At this point, I have decided to work with Lowes to see if I can return all Samsung appliances worth over $5000 including front loading washer and dryer, large French door fridge and off course this defective dishwasher. I cannot trust the quality and workmanship of Samsung products. Period! What a shame, a company continues to make defective products. This is not the first time I have this experience, back in 2009 when I bought 55 high-end LCD TV, its LCD panel went out after first year and when they replaced the new LCD panel, six months later, it malfunctioned again resulting in swapping to a LED TV in working with their executive customer service.

Returned home after 3 hour absence to find my 3 year old Samsung microwave baking a non existent potato. The menu was flashing baking potato. I have no idea how long it was on and turning it off & on twice did not help. I ended up shutting down the fuse on the circuit board. Repairs totaled $175. Totally unacceptable. I am elderly and live alone so no question of excessive use. I wish I had seen this review forum first and I would not have repaired it at all. Very unhappy...

The best part of Home Depot is we bought the extended warranty... I recommend buying it if you’re considering Samsung appliances! Within 4 years I’m on my second in 6 months repair on my fridge. My induction stove is the most ridiculous design and shuts off constantly because of the sensors! My dishwasher broke down. My microwave fan is a joke. We will never ever buy Samsung again...

Model rf26vabbp - This refrige was bought 2/2009, we had the water problems for the past few years then we finally had a repair person fix the clogged frozen water line. He actually put a wire down the tube and hooked it up so it wouldnt freeze. So far, that works. Now, our ice maker broke. We had the warranty, so now we have to get it fixed. Tried to reset but nothing. Bad fridge, I wouldnt buy any more Samsung or LG. Most expensive to fix and hard to get parts, a lot of service people wont fix them.

Purchased my Samsung refrigerator (RS261MDRS/XAA) about 6 years ago and had problems with it right from the start. Paid about $1700 thought I was buying a good refrigerator, BUT I WAS WRONG! 15 months after purchase ice maker problem $300, 10 months later freezer and fridge not temping it was the evaporator coil $550. Once again refrigerator and freezer not temping Im guessing it will be another $550 to $600 so Im junking my 6 year old Refrigerator. Also during this time I had multiple issues with my ice maker freezing up. DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS THEY ARE TOTAL JUNK.

Bought a Samsung 4 door French model # RF28HMEDBWW/AA 28 cu ft refrigerator on 11/21/2016 @ JC Penney. The ice maker continually freezes up and partially defrost causing a drip and puddles in the middle door tray and floor. We have had to defrost the ice maker 11 times so far when the issues started last fall and have become really irritating. Not sure if its even worth calling Samsung. I can see why so many jumped on the bandwagon/class action lawsuit. Really disappointing to say the least.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

1st problem: The refrigerator froze in the back and stopped cooling altogether. WE do not have a water attachment to it, thank goodness, because that would probably be even more of a nightmare. 2nd problem: Water leaks right below the vegetable tray. Where the water comes from is unknown. Getting it fixed has been impossible. Samsung does not stand by its products. WE bought this at Home Depot, which offers no support whatsoever. Ive filed a complaint with Home Depot, but no satisfaction. I am sure I will no longer buy anything other than nails and electrical tape at Home Depot from this point forward. Do NOT BUY Samsung. Do not buy major appliances at Home Depot. You will regret it. I have a freezer and an old fridge downstairs that are over 10 years old, not a problem. The Samsung is only 3-4 years old.

We have had this fridge for almost 18 months. We bought it from Best Buy along with a 5-year warranty. When Best Buy delivered it all 3 doors had massive dents in them. They brought new ones within a few days. The ice maker has spewed ice chips no matter what size/shape the glass you use or where you hold it under the dispenser, ice goes all over the floor. The ice maker makes so much noise in the process of making ice that it makes a crashing sound. The right side door doesnt stay open!!! The wonderful techs at Best Buy have been out at least 5 times to repair both, along with sending new parts, etc. and it is just the same as before they tried anything new. This is a defective appliance and NO ON CARES!!! The go through the motions to honor the warranty and now there is nothing they can do. Samsung is even more worthless. How can two large companies be allowed to continually rip people off with products and services that dont work properly? Are there longer morals and truth in business? Who do we have to stand up for all of us collectively? Where is accountability?

It leaks, and Samsung is refusing to replace it. Dont believe their warranties, they will try their hardest to get out of actually doing anything. It failed with a LE code and a puddle of water. We called the same day, and the earliest the Samsung-contracted repair tech could come was a week later. Samsung doesnt contract with a real repair company, its something called General Appliance and Insurance Service. The tech showed up with no parts and almost no tools, and in a tiny car that couldnt haul a dishwasher. He pronounced that while he could see evidence of water (dried soap residue), he didnt see any water, so there was nothing he could do. Never mind that we live in a desert and it had been a week since it leaked. We got on the phone with 1-800-Samsung, who transfers you to Executive Service, which is the call center where they tell you jokes before giving you nothing. I told ** that the tech had been unable to find the leak and made no repairs. Given that nothing had been fixed on the unit, I said it would leak again and asked for a replacement unit. ** refused. He said it has to leak three times before they will replace it. The next day, it leaks again. We call it in, and now were waiting for the tech to come out and do nothing again, knowing weve got at least one more round of this circus before I can throw this piece of trash into their truck and get a decent dishwasher.

I purchased a Samsung 4-door refrigerator because I thought I was stepping up the quality for a refrigerator. The unit worked well for the first 13 months, then the ice maker would suddenly stop producing ice for no reason. I waited a day or two and the ice maker started working again. A few months later, I notice water on the floor of my kitchen. I thought my children spilled something. Then my son notice water dripping into the basement ceiling under the refrigerator. I looked more closely and the refrigerator was dripping water. My plumber guided me on shutting off the water to the refrigerator to limit the water damage. A technician came out a week later and took many pictures and troubleshoot the problem. Upon removing the drawers I noticed what was causing yet a second problem and that was a sheet of ice had formed underneath the fourth drawer, turning that drawer into a virtual freezer regardless of what temperature setting.Samsung initially said they would reimburse for the purchase of the refrigerator. I thought that was a relief, for obviously I had a lemon and they knew it. Everything was quiet for four days and when I checked back again the reimbursement had been cancelled. I received NO call, email or anything. Then I insisted if they were to fix the problem they should resolve the freezing of food in the fourth drawer as well as the leaking refrigerator. Then the reimbursement was pushed through again. Then 3 days later, after I received no email. Everything was cancelled, the reimbursement and the repair. So I am a consumer and I typically have refrigerators to just hang out for years. The Samsung refrigerators have gimmicks that work for a minute and then fail and they are very expensive. I would not recommend Samsung refrigerators. Their phones and tablets yes; refrigerators NO! Stick with a manufacturer thats been producing refrigerators for longer than 20 years.

RFG237AARS purchases 2/2013. I have a Samsung Range and Dishwasher and havent had any issues with those appliances, but this refrigerator is definitely a lemon. There are quite a few Youtubers out there showing the icing problem. They are chiseling ice blocks off the fridge. The fridge starts making an annoying sound which happens to be the twin cooling fan system hitting the ice. Thats not right. Its disappointing that Samsung is not addressing the issue. I have been able to care for mine periodically and unthaw it from time to time, but its definitely a feature Samsung isnt being upfront about. I’m sure at some point the fan will break because of the issue. I can only imagine what expenses they would try to push onto the consumer(me), and given the age of the refrigerator it isnt worth a $500 repair bill. It doesnt sound like people are having much luck with repair(s) either. Some report multiple repairs yet they still have a dud afterwards.

We purchased a brand new Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF28HDEDBSR
We purchased a brand new Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF28HDEDBSR on Feb 6, 2015. It worked fine for a little while. It began emitting a strange chemical odor and around the same time, the water filter needed replaced. We assumed that was what caused the odor so we changed the filter but the odor remained. Weve completely cleaned the entire refrigerator and freezer many, many times with bleach, but it does not help. The odor permeates everything. The ice cubes taste like the same chemical odor and the food holds the smell. I called Samsung on 12-14-15 and was told that we needed to clean the entire unit again. They told us to clean it with baking soda and water this time, unplug the unit for 3 hours, and keep the doors opened for 3 hours. We did as they instructed and still no change. When we called back on 12-16-15, they informed us, that according to our serial number, it was no longer under warranty. We had to scan and email a copy of our receipt to prove the date of purchase and was told theyd return our call within 24 hours. Their service department called back 12-18-15 (48 hours later) and could not schedule us for 6 more days! When we voiced our frustration with this, we were told that there was nothing they could do. We mentioned that we saw many other consumer reviews with the same issue and the response we received was that people will make up things to complain about, there is no known problem with this refrigerator. Since we had little recourse, we scheduled the appointment for 12-24-15 (yes, Christmas Eve) and told them that this was very inconvenient since we were no longer using the unit. On 12-22-15, the Service Center called back to inform us that we were out of their area and they would not be servicing us after all! I had to, again, call Samsung and was told that I must wait another 24 to 48 hours for another service center to contact us. I again, voiced my opinion that this was horrible customer service. Here it is, 12-28-15, and no one has called us. And as Im typing this, Ive been on hold for 70 minutes with Samsung, trying to get someone to answer.I will NEVER, EVER, EVER purchase another Samsung appliance. This is unacceptable and the WORST customer service experience Ive ever had.

Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17.
Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17. Freezer stopped working in 4/2019. Samsung said they would do a 1 X free parts - I would have to pay labor (or vice versa). Warranty was up (less than 2 years since purchase). They entered a wrong phone on service request - not just a wrong number but something made up like: 12345678 which cancelled my appointment because service provider could not reach me. Called them back and they told me they were sorry and because of this they would also pay both the labor and parts. Meanwhile I had researched what could have been wrong and found quite a few google answers that people experienced same thing and it was the evaporator motor. I relayed that to service provider so if they brought that part it would be fixed sooner than later. (Side note at this point we also had to buy a freezer so all the food we stocked up on during pandemic didnt end up in the garbage). They fixed it. Several months later both the refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called Samsung and immediately was told I would have to pay for repair. I questioned it ONLY. But was prepared to pay the $99 for a diagnostic. They put in service ticket and then noticed days later it was cancelled? I called them and they said we cancelled it because you refused to pay. I never refused to pay?!I ended up called the service provider - they sorted it out and I paid them $99 for house call. They diagnosed it as needing some kind of sealer and refrigerant and Samsung has lengthened the time of the warranty of that particular problem (probably must be an ongoing issue). They had to come back a week later. I was also told - it may or may not work. Sure enough end of May freezer died. Service provider could not come out until the 11th of June. Beginning of beginning of June 2020 refrigerator died as well. Had to throw out all perishables. So we got less than 3 years use. One correction - I communicated with Samsung through their CHAT option. I ended up cancelling the appointment today 6/9/20 and taking the loss and ordering a different brand that wont be delivered until 7/13/20. Horrible experience with this refrigerator. Purchase date: 6/10/2017 - Garbage date: 6/9/20.

Since then it has been 5 months without a hitch!Meantime, Microwave Hood range stopped working, repairman came out, order a couple of parts replaced them, still didnt work. I have been trying to receive my refund for my dishwasher for over 2months
I have been trying to receive my refund for my dishwasher for over 2months now (soon to be 3months). Im really fed up with all the back and forth emails and phone calls and wasted time! Im so disappointed in the terrible customer service we have received!!!! When I agreed on a price of 882.00, I then patiently waited for my refund check to arrive in the mail.. After waiting and waiting.. I then called to check the status of my refund to be told someone made a mistake and the refund amount would be a lot lower (in the 600s). I cant remember the amount that was offered. I willing agreed to take the lose and wait again for another refund check that would never arrive! Then my husband got fed up with the run around/playing games. Called to check the status of the refund after several days of no response to be told that our offer had been lowered even more and was waiting approval! I dont know how many times a refund needs approval and crossed checked before an actual refund is made, but.... Im beginning to think I will not receive my refund and that I was lied to once again! After being such a loyal customer who buys nothing but Samsung products...I find this to be slap in the face and will never, ever by another Samsung product again in my life. I just want what was promised to me!!! Please let me know when the money will be deposited to my account! And.. After waiting a long, I would like the full amount of the 882.00 that was offered to me! One dissatisfied customer!

Purchased an appliance package from hhgregg consisting of stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Five months into ownership starting having issues with ice maker on refridge. A&E Factory service responded five times over a year period. Finally confirmed that the refridge was not repairable due to a manufacturer defect in the freezer door frame which was warped and could not seal properly. Spent several months dealing with hhgregg and Samsung Warranty. Samsung finally bought back the refridge at a pro-rated amount. Plus I had to wait five weeks to receive a check from them and do without a fridge because they demanded I cut the electrical cord on the defective one before they would buy it back. Then hhgregg refused to give me a refund on the five year extended warranty for the fridge which I no longer had. Samsung and hhgregg do not stand behind their products or warranties. Now for the last two months the Samsung dishwasher is not trying properly and the delicate light starts flashing at the end of the cycle. Scared to call Samsung and report it. Will never buy Samsung or deal with hhgregg again.

So a year ago it was replace by the same model.... exactly one year later.... we are having to replace it. Run away!!!! Run Away NOW from this Samsung Dishwasher. I have had two of the same model and it is TRASH! NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY THIS!!!! Is there anything else I can say?Original review: Brand new home... brand new appliance... Samsung everything. All the other appliances I love EXCEPT the dishwasher.... it is awful. It does not get the dishes clean. I cannot fit my 11-inch plates in it... the bowls, forget about it. The top rack, please do not get me started. It uses all the Jet Dry in one wash. I cant get the racks to adjust... which they are supposed to do. I hate doing dishes but after 45 years I would rather have clean dishes then this piece of... run away from this dishwasher.

As the previous 150 purchasers of the OTC Samsung SMH9187SW Microwave, I purchased mine 12/2011, and it has stopped working 2/2013. Since it is out of warranty, I didnt even bother to contact Samsung because Ive had mine for 26 months and knew that if I wanted a Samsung certified repair person, it would cost more than the original price. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I found a repairman with 135 5 STAR reviews. I told him my problem and he said he stopped working on microwaves because it was cheaper for customers to replace them. He also said he did not know of anyone that he could honestly recommend. So I found this site and followed the advice of the few people that were able to get theirs up and running. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions helped; I tried unplugging the unit, pushing clear and start simultaneously and finally unplugging and resetting the blue and white plugs on the control panel.I had thought of buying a different microwave except for the fact there is not one single microwave under $1,000 with a customer rating above 2 stars. Even the Best Buy rated microwaves in Consumer Reports, Epinions, Amazon, etc. didnt receive positive reviews from the actual consumers. So now I am going to order the control panel (not from Samsung directly) and install it myself. I dont see any other option since I dont want the expense of another microwave plus installation and then worry that another problem will occur no matter what brand I buy. My 1st OTC microwave lasted 20 years, the 2nd for 10 years and now 2 years! I most definitely would like to be involved in a class action suit. One interesting side note: Consumer Reports still list Samsung in the top 4. From now on, Im going to the actual user reviews listed at the bottom of the rating page!

I purchased the Samsung refrigerator from Sears 1/5/2012. It was a very costly purchase - $2500.00. Shortly after I had it, the ice maker didnt freeze/chill well. That issue was addressed. Then the ice maker didnt give an adequate supply of ice. Apparently, the computer screen/mechanics that controls that was replaced by Samsung. The repairman stated it would need replacing again because the set was all wrong. The ice is not making ice again. It was replaced April 27, 2013.The make-up of the dispensing controls appears to be set up for failure from the beginning. The ice and water are sort of piggybacked to each other and something within this or the computerized screen will not allow them both to work. I have contacted Samsung and they have not attempted to reach out to me to resolve this problem with their product.

I have owned my Samsung refrigerator for over 10 years and it still works as good as it did when I first bought it. Initially, I was reluctant to buy the fridge due to the over $2,000.00 price tag; but, I went ahead and bought it. I am so happy that I did; my family and I love it, and if ever comes the time where we have to purchase a new one, Samsung will be the brand we purchase. Samsung forever!

I bought My dishwasher last April but I received it in June. It was working good for few months till 1st week of Jan 2022. It showed code PC and stopped working. I called Samsung because I was still in company guarantee. The Tech came 3 weeks later. Its been more than 3 months. They send the Tech to my house to change one part each time. I send them letter and call them, They never call you. I was told they can just repair and they cant exchange or refund. I dont need to tell them I need functional dishwasher. They know but they dont care. I am working and I can accept the Tech in my house just on Saturday. I am waiting quiet every Saturday for Tech, till now they changed more than 5 parts. Do not buy their product.

I would not recommend this refrigerator. The water dispenser leaked from day 1. I am constantly wiping the dispenser, refrigerator, and the floor. The water has stained the refrigerator. I am always stepping in a puddle. Now it is making a very loud noise and I think it has something to do with the ice maker. The long drawer in the refrigerator keeps coming off track. It is difficult to get back on track. Very annoying. The refrigerator is nice looking but definitely not worth the hassle.

My Samsung French door 28 cu. ft. refrigerator was purchased in April 2011 from Lowes. It cost $2,800.00; that’s a lot of money. I had a Samsung washer and dryer and a big screen TV that I was happy with, and was not aware of any problems with their refrigerators. The other day, I tried to get ice from the dispenser and no ice came out; just water. I called Samsung and they told me to reset the icemaker. I told them we had ice but none would come out of the dispenser. We cleaned out the old ice, reset the icemaker, and waited 24 hours like they said. The ice maker made ice but none would come out of the dispenser. I called them back, and they said they would send out someone to look at it, but could not tell me how much it would cost. For some reason, I did not purchase an extended warranty; I have it on everything else. About a few days after purchasing fridge, my brother-in-law died and my husband had a heart attack at the funeral so I did not think about the warranty about a week later. I called Lowes trying to get one, and they could not as it was a week later. Then I called Samsung, and they would not give me an extended warranty; so I have none. Now I am left with a $2,800.00 fridge with no ice or pay the high price for a service man to fix it. We are seniors, and you would think that the icemaker would work longer that than 2 years. I have never had an icemaker go out on much cheaper fridges. Sorry, but this sucks.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA on 4/11/17. Worked great for 14 months and then ice maker stopped working. Of course warranty was out for 2 months when this happened. Had ice maker completely replaced, then 8 months after replacement it stopped working again! This time only the auger motor had to be replaced as no ice would come thru the chute...repairman replaced and till no ice. He had to return this week and had to replace the auger motor again as the one installed last week was broken! This is a total of 4 auger motors on this refrigerator in less than 2 years. For the cost of this appliance we feel this is totally unacceptable. Will never purchase a Samsung refrigerator again!

I have owned the refrigerator for about five years and for the last 3 years the icemaker has not operated properly. Bought a Samsung rs277 side by side from Lowes approx 5 years ago. Was a scratch and dent floor model at Lowes and was a very good discount. Ice maker problems started within first year. It makes ice but wont dump it into tray unless you press button on ice maker. So far havent had much luck finding out online what I can do to fix this. For awhile it would make ice then quit until you pushed button then would make ice again for a few days then have to press button again. After 4 years it now will only dump ice if you press button. At almost 5 yrs old fan inside fridge got loud. Found some info for different model Samsung online about this problem being from ice build up. Although the info I found online was for a similar type side by side Samsung my model rs277 did not come apart the same way. Keep in mind these are supposed to be frost free units. You need to take all the shelves and drawers out and loosen back panel.Used hair dryer to defrost a bunch of ice on cooling coil. The ice had built up to the point where it was interfering with fan and blocking drain hole. So besides the noise there was water occasionally leaking out the front. Defrosting took care of noise and water leak but it will be back since the thing should not have needed to be defrosted. There is some type of sensor that tells the brain when to defrost and a heating element to defrost. Not sure which is bad. If someone knows how to test the sensor or how to fix the ice maker so it will dump ice please email me at **.I had an Amana side by side for well over ten years. I ordered it without an ice maker so that never broke. Some of the plastic parts inside the fridge did not hold up so well and the door gaskets were coming apart but in over ten years I never had to tear it apart to fix something. Until I got the Samsung I was not so happy with the Amana because of the cheesy plastic parts. The Samsung has made me wish I had the Amana back. It was still working when I got rid of it and was over 10. Not happy with samsung.

I purchase a Samsung 4 door refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA around October/November 2013. Since then the icemaker has never worked properly even after I called a technician to come fix it and constantly defrosting the icemaker because ice built up inside and it would not work at all. NOW the refrigerator will not cool down... stays around 53 degrees and that is too warm to keep milk and other luncheon meat fresh up to expire date. The worst thing is I have not had it even 4 years yet. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now see that it was a mistake to buy SAMSUNG appliances... I have a Samsung top load washing machine also and see there was a recall on some models. Anyways if it is too costly to have this Fridge fix I will cut my losses and just buy another refrigerator. I strongly feel that SAMSUNG should take responsibility and recall this model. Since that is not likely I will never buy NOTHING Samsung again.

This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.

I bought a Refrigerator from Bismi, a leading dealer in Kochi for Samsung Products on Feb 20 2014. Attached the bill copy. Unfortunately, the product stops working just after the warranty period over. I contacted customer care, they took the fridge to their service center. After that, there is no information regarding the product. I had contacted the guy who took the fridge several time but I did not get any updates. So I used the chat facility and report the problem, after that I got a call from the CC and said that it is the problem with the freezer component and will take another 7 days to get the part. After raising the same complaint through this email portal, I got a call from the Samsung Head office and the person assures me that technical difficulty of availing the part for replacement and he told me he will update the status eventually and resolve as early as possible. Also he assures a standby refrigerator if he failed to deliver the product before 1st May 2015. But still after the call I did not get any information or updates from Samsung side. It is difficult to manage city life without refrigerator. Moreover I had a 18 month old kid and no one is in my home to get the daily eatables from the market as we are working daily for more than 10 hours. Please let me know whether I had to go for a new one or how long I had to wait for the product to get back. This is the letter I had sent to Samsung authorities, CEO, etc but no use. Today I got back my Fridge with a bill of Rs 3800/- INR.

I bought our Samsung dishwasher in January of 2015. Within 10 days the heavy light started flashing and the dishwasher motor would not stop running - indicating a leak. We had to turn it off from the breaker for it to stop running (also attached to our washing machine - so no laundry). I called Samsung and had a very frustrating conversation with someone who did not speak English very well. Nice person - just not a good phone representative. 40 minute call. He set a claim number. Appliance service came out and said we should get another unit from the store we purchased it at (Home Depot) - 1 month later we did (paying on dishwasher and doing dishes by hand the entire time).Old dishwasher sat in our garage for another 15 days or so when - unexpectedly - Home Depot came at 8:30 at night to pick it up - SURPRISE! We immediately had the same problem happen to the new dishwasher and continue to now. The last service we had was January 9th - and on the 19th we still have the heavy light flashing and the motor running until we shut off the breaker. We can go months that it will work after turning on the breaker - then come home one day from work and it will be inoperable. I have spent over 9 hours this year on the phone with Samsung. Do not buy Samsung anything. If you have to deal with their customer service process - even once - you will be very unhappy. I bought a Samsung fridge (RFG296HDPN) from Lowes and the dispenser is not working right. It locks itself and then no matter how many times I try, it does not unlock, which means no cold water, crushed ice or whole ice. This panel will stay locked for a week or two and then unlock on its own. The lower drawer or crisper came cracked and one of the shelves where the ice maker is located has a thin line crack also. I work and have to take a full day for a repair and when I called them, they gave me a work order number. If they call back and I dont pick up, they cancel it, so I called in for another one. So I have two work orders, and they told me the repair person is waiting on parts. Now someone named Brittany says that its cosmetic and they do not do cosmetic. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they say I have to wait for an hour. A malfunctioning dispenser for me is not cosmetic, not on a $3,000 refrigerator that will be a year old in August. I have explained this over and over again when I called and when the technicians called now, they asked me if its locked, call then when it is. Well, I have on two occasions and they have not reacted. I wish they would put this on their refrigerators. If panel malfunctions, its cosmetic. I asked if there was a way to reset it and there is none but unplugging it which I have tried and it does not work. It will be two months that I have been trying to fix this. I will never buy another Samsung.

Samsungs customer service, or lack thereof makes me wish I could return this and put my old rusty one back. Dont buy from Samsung! Especially if you plug it in yourself! How ridiculous! I feel like Ive wasted $800, and will need to purchase a simpler model in the future. I used to love Samsung, but this fiasco ensures I will no longer buy their products.

We have the Family Hub French door with the screen in front. Paid approx $2300. This thing is a piece of garbage. First, they changed the app with no notification so we lost all the things we had programmed including pictures. The ice maker is HORRIBLE!!! So horrible that I have invested in a portable countertop ice maker. Im not sure whats going on with it, but whenever we call for service, were told we have to defrost it before theyll come. How does that show them the issue? The ice and water spills outside the ice bucket and then freezes together. Every few days, it stops making ice. Thats because its clogged with ice and cant work any longer. I have to take a hair dryer to it to defrost all the stuck frozen water and ice cubes. Today I did it, and I noticed there is a ton of mold under the lip of the mouth where the water and ice comes out to the dispenser. Gross. There is no way to get to the mold. Also, ice gets stuck in the dispenser and melts, so it leaks onto the dispenser on the door. I wish I would have taken a picture of the clumped frozen water before I posted this. Piece of garbage. Do not buy!

Ive noticed other reviews explaining the same problem. We brought this fridge less than 2 years ago brand new. We did not expect any problems this early on as we have always purchased a french door fridge because of its large capacity. We have a large family and would have to frequent the grocery store all the time if we bought anything smaller. I am sorry I bought this brand and will not buy it again. We noticed pooling of water just outside the freezer and have been mopping it up every morning. We did not know what is causing this problem-where the water inside freezer is coming from and have defrosted the fridge twice now. -which is extremely inconvenient as we cannot use our fridge during that time. We have turned off the ice maker to see if this was the problem but it is not. This fridge is a lemon. Do not buy. So far it does not seem that anyone who has tried to solve this problem has been successful. I am really tired of cleaning up water everyday and will need to save for a new fridge. It appears that ice is forming on the freezer bottom and then melting and spilling out of the freezer overnight and during the day. We recently removed the bottom drawer which over time turned into a bucket of ice. We defrosted the fridge and cleaned it and are now trying to locate what is causing the ice to form on the freezer bottom (which then melts over time and forms water at the bottom of the fridge).

The oven temperature climbs and lowers all during the baking process. Totally inconsistent. Horrible for baking cakes! I bought a portable oven thermometer to monitor it. I can set the oven for 350 and the actual temp in the oven will be 375 one minute and 325 a few minutes later. There is also a 25 degree temperature variance from front to back and side to side in the oven. Forget cooking more than one item at the same temperature. When you buy such a big oven you plan on being able to utilize the space by cooking more than one item, but beware, they will be cooking at different temperatures. The top low burner is not low at all. It boils everything. The long middle high burner is okay on one end and way too crazy hot on the other end with flames so tall they lap over my skillet. The Samsung name on the top front/center of the stove is stickers. Each letter gradually slides off from the heat of the stove.

Purchased Samsung Dishwasher Nov. 13, 2013. The unit has failed three times in less than a year. Problem - unit would run about ten minutes and then stop. Failure showed as a drain failure problem. Restart the machine and it would complete total cycle. Main board replaced, no help. The ECS sensor part no. DD82-01118A was replaced and fixed the problem. The unit worked for seven months and the problem has returned. Technician ordered a new ECS sensor. The part has been on back order for three weeks. Looks like Samsung has a design problem.

Samsung Model DW80K7050UG/AA-0000 failed twice in two years: - Touch screen failed to respond- Top sprayer wand bearing failureThe touch screen failed to respond unless the power was reset. This got progressively worse until we had to replace the dishwasher with a Maytag. The display board was $150, but the problem might’ve been in the main control board which contain the power supply. Since it was out of warranty the repair may have cost $300.After a year of ownership, the top sprayer wand bearing failed because it was ground down by debris picked up by the dishwasher. I consider this a design defect. Fortunately this was under warranty repair but the dishwasher was out of service for about two weeks. Being an engineer, I deem this to be a design failure where on filtered water was put into a bearing which ground the plastic down until the bearing failed. I am no longer a believer and Samsung dishwashers.

It worked fine for two days then the SE code reappeared. Were seniors so this thing is not abused. Looking online, it seems this unit has many other unhappy owners. It seems to me this may be related to the prior recall.

I heard Samsung carried one of the best dishwashers. When I went to make my purchase Labor Day weekend 2015 the Best Buy sales associate agreed. Let me tell you... This is the worst dishwasher I have ever used in my entire life. My former dishwasher was a Whirlpool, 9.5 years old. I needed to replace it because it would no longer fully drain. Sadly it cleans better than this brand new Samsung. I am constantly rewashing a minimum of 6 dishes after it runs for 3 hours. I have changed detergents, rinsed dishes before filling, ran my water until steam was filling the kitchen made sure my garbage disposal was empty and Jet-Dry to the canister. I wish I had my old dishwasher back. Samsung told me to call Best Buy.

It starts up on its own, runs the Baked Potato program and eventually stops with the code -SE- displayed. I need to unplug the unit, let it sit for awhile, and then plug it back in to get it working again. I agree that Samsung needs to do something about this. The problem is too widespread. I paid well over $2000 for a Samsung French Door refrigerator just about 4 years ago, and it has given me nothing but problems. I had issue with the door, seals around the freezer, the ice maker, finally the motor that cools the refrigerator. I am making a promise to myself that I will never ever buy another piece of appliance from Samsung, and will convince any of my family and friends to not buy that brand either. Bought brand new on 8/9/2013, within the first 6 months the ice maker quit working and we could not open the ice maker. Samsung said it was due to a defective motherboard. Fridge was under warranty, they fixed it no problem. New this last week 10/5/2016 the fridge will not stay cold. It stays about 52 degrees. The freezer works fine, but the fridge not so much. Tried resetting the fridge like they said, power cooled it for 24 hours and its still not cold. Called Best Buy because thats where we bought it and they are usually pretty quick to repair, they said that THIS fridge has a reported compressor issue. If the compressor is bad, it can NOT be fixed and the whole unit will have to be replaced. I have to wait until tomorrow to contact Samsung Repair. Has anyone else had this issue? I am thoroughly irritated that this is the 2nd issue for this fridge, which is just now 3 years and 2 months old. Ridiculous! For the amount of money spent on the unit, this is not acceptable.

Second time I have had a problem with the microwave. Fan runs non-stop and will not heat anything. Samsung will not do anything. They only offered a protection plan that costs more than the microwave did new. I purchased an entire suite of Samsung appliances when I moved into my new home. Have had problems with all four of them. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I work in a Day Spa that has over 300 clients through it in a week and I will make sure everyone knows about the issues I have had with Samsung products. I have a daughter that is an Interior Designer and she will never recommend the products again. My other daughter is a Realtor and she will be informing all her clients of my problems. My new mission in life is to make sure everyone know what poor quality Samsung has in service and products. If you read this PLEASE do not make my mistake. I took the extended warranty on the big four door fridge. The ice maker freezes up every two months even with biweekly cleaning. Takes the company at least three (3) weeks to get here to repair it. The only answer is to not buy this product. Friends dont let friends buy Samsung. Dont buy Samsung!!!

I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.

I have had water collecting in both veg/fruit drawers. After $250.00, I hope the problem has been corrected. The FF was freezing & leaking per info on repair ticket??? The repairman replaced the heat probe. He said that many of these have had to be replaced. The original ones were too short & they are being replaced with longer ones. This sounds as if there should have been a recall since he told me that he had replaced several with the newer type probe. If you want the worlds worst customer service and to deal with a company who will do anything to avoid standing by their warranty, then buy a Samsung. On May 16 our side by side fridge stopped working. We have been EXTREMELY frustrated with customer support. We were first told Williamston TV in Farmingdale, NY would be calling us to set up an appointment. After not receiving a call from them, I called their center and they informed me they do not work on appliances. I contacted Samsung again and was given Rods in Riverhead, NY. Someone was suppose to come out today between 9 and 10 am - but no one from their center ever answered their phone. My husband ended up losing a days work because he took off to be home for the repairman. When I googled that company, their average review received 1 out of 5 stars (with many references of no one answering their phone and people never showing up to their house). I then called Samsung again and after 1/2 hour the customer service woman told us those were the only 2 centers on Long Island. Finally she told us we could get our own diagnostic and email it. Local appliance company - Recommended new refrigerator. Unit has bad evaporated coil and cover. According to the warranty from website this is covered under the 5 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR. In addition to the inconvenience, we have lost several hundred dollars in spoiled food, my husband losing a day of work, and a freezer full of pumped breast milk for my 3 month old. We need to have a response and action done immediately as we are continuing to have to go to the store to get ice to store my sons milk and keep my one and half year old sons medicine.Samsungs email response - We are sorry to hear about your response, we will dispatch Williamston TV repair. (Note - this is exactly the company I mentioned that does not work on appliances.) Samsung Executive Customer Service phone response - We need to wait for Samsung to look over and evaluate their contract with Rods. If they decide Rods is not responsive then they will put our claim through an evaluation to see if they will in fact accept the local appliance diagnostic and allow them to do the repair, a process which could take two weeks to get an approval. Shame on you Samsung! Stop telling me I will do everything to help you and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing problems. Because of a problem with a different fridge that we put our stuff in for those three days, we lost all food from the fridge. So they came and put in a new ice maker with updates from Samsung. For years, Ive been influenced by my Korean friends on Korean brands. In Dec. 2013, my husband and I decided to invest in home appliances. We visited a local dealer and looked at our options. Without hesitation, we looked at different Samsung fridge models, and after deciding on what will fit in our kitchen space and what will be best for a starting family like us, we bought a Samsung Frost Free - Inverter Type fridge (model: RT20FARVDSA/TC). The sales associate at the local store helped us with our decision. He discussed the differences between the different models and benefits of each as well. He wasnt pushy and he politely asked what we wanted and what we needed. He also discussed the daily operating cost of this particular Samsung model (Ive always heard how energy efficient and environment-friendly these Korean brands are).In fact, this fridge is really cost effective - when I calculated our monthly usage and stuff, it appears that this fridge only costs us around 200 PHP a month. Our other fridge cost us around 400 PHP a month. I like this fridge better than the other one we had, which was a White Westinghouse fridge. I like the silvery touch of our Samsung. To me, it looks elegant... It does have ample compartments for our needs and I like that the inside shelves are made of glass (I like things made of glass). I guess the price of the fridge was just right.I like almost everything about it except for one thing - I was cleaning the fridge two months after we bought it and at the bottom part where the perishables are situated, I found a crack (see attached pictures). I am not sure what caused the damage and I was not able to see that right after we purchased it, so I guess I dont have any right to fret... :-) Anyhow, the fridges motor has a lifetime warranty which to me is good enough. The fridge is only about 3 years old, no problems whatsoever other than the cracking, and were satisfied so far. We will consider another Samsung in the future.
