I have been trying to get a refrigerator repaired for 2 weeks. The serviceman who initially came to look at it said Samsung is having a lot of problems with it, but is not doing anything about it. I have spoken to customer service at least 20 times. I have spent many hours on hold, and been disconnected at least 4 times. I have also been told they cannot connect me to a manager, because there were none available. They have finally agreed to pay for the repair, but are unable to find the part to fix a 4 year old fridge in less than 4 weeks. I have been told many times my case will be escalated to the next level, but it never is. I have also been told is it approved for a replacement, but no one can ever seem to figure out how to get that commitment into the computer, so nothing ever happens. The customer service people are only able to type the problem into their computer, never to do anything to fix it. If I hear I understand one more time, Im going to kill someone. It is by far the most incompetent, useless customer service department I have ever dealt with. Couple that with an appliance that is of very poor quality, please avoid it at all costs.

Samsung Model RFG297HDWP/XAA. The unit is a three door bottom freezer I purchased in November of 2013 from Sears. I had the ice maker repaired once and then replaced. It is Junk and a terrible flaw in design. In addition the Fridge has shut down at least Three times for no apparent reason. I came home one evening and opened the door to find the lights working but it seemed warm. I have two thermometers installed which showed the interior temp at 60 degrees. I opened the freezer drawer and that was also not cold. I hit the Digital display and it showed the set point at 36 and after a few seconds flashed the actual reading of 60 degrees - Freezer flashed a reading of 30 degrees. I called Samsung tech support and did what they asked me to do. I unplugged it for over a minute. Plugged it back in. Nothing. I put it in power cool mode. Nothing. After around 30 minutes I heard the compressor kick in. Amazing. This has happened three times that I know of... I was gone for three months last summer. Who knows?? I had purchased the master Protection Agreement from Sears, Thank God. A service Tech came out and just so he didnt think I was crazy. I took a video of the digital displayed temperature readings. He was here for more than two hours, ordered several boards and said to call when the boards arrived. They arrived and I called and a different Service Tech came out and tried to install the boards only to tell me they were the wrong parts and he didnt think the fridge needed both boards anyway. I told him That I would rather he change out both than take a chance and that maybe Sears should communicate with the first tech on this issue of what boards need to be replaced. I am not confident that this will solve the problem. It is a Manufacturing defect and Samsung should be held liable.Updated on 10/31/2016: I just had the fridge repaired on October 19, 2016. The fridge would shut down randomly for no apparent reason. The Sears tech diagnosed and ordered two new circuit boards. Eleven days later the problem came back. This time it is tripping the circuit breaker when shutting down. The one thing that is different now is the motor or fan is constantly running for hours and hours before the shutdown and the tripped breaker. I called Samsung and they are of no help. When will they help us consumers who are stuck with lemons that have cost them over two thousand dollars.

I purchased the Samsung RF263BEAESR. I purchased in 2012. A year ago the ice machine began freezing to the point where the machine would not make ice. Now the motor is making a loud noise. It keeps me up at night and its began a week ago. I called Samsung customer service and they were so nasty. It left me with such a bad impression. I spent $3000 on a refrigerator and just 3 years later its giving my family problems. I dont have the money to purchase another refrigerator and I think its just not fair. Samsung should care about their customers and fix the problems people are having with these refrigerator. These products should last me at least 8 years problem free!

We purchased the Samsung Microwave brand new less than 18 months ago. Installation was done professionally and we experienced no initial issues, however, one evening out of nowhere we began to smell burning plastic coming from the kitchen. Upon further inspection, the Samsung Microwave was smoking, heating up and began smoldering. The microwave was plugged into an outlet and hung above the stove but not in use when the incident occurred. No electrical issues from the power lines or outlet itself. Fire department advised it was caused by the Microwave. Glad we were home otherwise the entire house would be up in flames from the microwave spontaneously combusting. Would not recommend, stay away!!

My new Samsung stainless steel refrigerator was installed 2/10/18. Unfortunately, upon peeling off the film, there are two dents in the left French Style door. I notified Samsung, Monday, 12th and was told I was outside the return range of 48 hours. All Samsung wants to do is provide excuses instead of fix this issue. I was told to contact Samsungs, Escalation Customer Relations. When I called their toll free number, I was greeted with one of the rudest service reps Ive dealt with. He refused to transfer me to the ECR department, despite the fact I gave him my order number. He initially requested this number as if he were going to transfer me as I requested. Instead of doing so, he blatantly stated he would not do so. Samsung has the images of the damaged door. This is the WORST customer service ever.

I am very unhappy with my samsung dishwasher. It was only three and half years old and the soap dispenser broke, the top rack wouldnt side out, because the cheap plastic piece that moves the rack in and out broke. Then the drain error and low water level starts flashing code symbols comes on, and the dishwasher just stops. I DID call the samsung eight hundred number, and the lady just mostly said sorry, its out of warranty. We cant help you. Call for repairs. Then try to find some one in the area that works on samsung. No one works on them. I had a maytag dishwasher that I replaced this one with, that was twenty years old (even dried the dishes, which this samsung doesnt dry the dishes, they are still wet) and it still worked, except the bottom was rusting out. So now I have been looking around for a replacement, and I am totally confused as to what to get. Can anyone help me?

We bought a house and put all Samsung appliances, Refrigerator top off the line, Dishwasher also top of the line, microwave. Since day one we have had leaking issues, logged several calls to the Samsung services department, most of the time they would tell us how to get the LC to stop but not fix the issue. Now that the Warranty has expired (1year Warranty) they send out a Tech and want $350 to fix a known leaking issue. They even have a special kit just for this issue. WHAT you put out a defective product on the market and don’t take care of your customer that bought it. Well just like the phone and batteries issues I guess.

We bought a Samsung 26-cubic ft. French Door Fridge that was manufactured July 2011. It was installed in October 2011. After 12 months of use, the fan motor broke and the fridge vents iced up. This led to the temperature in the fridge going up, and all our food spoiling. We had bought the fridge through Sears, and had an extended warranty. After 6 weeks, Sears could not source a replacement fan motor from Samsung. We have heard that Samsung only makes a refrigerator model for about 3 years or less, then changes it. They rarely make spare parts, and if they do, they are hard to get. We are going to get a new fridge because Sears cannot source a part for our one year old fridge. Im amazed that such a small part is going to render our fridge useless. What a waste of a fridge, and what a disappointment in Samsung, who we thought would build a good product. This was a $2,300 fridge and should last more than a year, and should have available parts. A very good example of the low quality of appliances these days.

First of all the vegetable draws very difficult to remove for cleaning. My 4 door unit is only 6 years old...and of course its out of warranty. The refrigerator part is forming ice and keeping a temperature of 50, where I have it set to 37. Will not deal with Home serve. They wanted 80 to walk in the door and another 80 for travel expenses. Live in Staten Island NY and they are coming from New Jersey...are you kidding. I told them where to go. Called an outside repair, which I have used before and now its the fan underneath the unit. And the repair is going to be expensive. DONT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG...EVER. I am just disgusted. I also have rust spots forming on the door of the freezer section and Samsung said its not covered. Really.

Best Buys Geek Squad repaired it and it worked OK for about four weeks and then it turned into a slush maker. Currently Geek Squad is in route with all new parts to rebuild it again. 4 Door Refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBWW/AA - Soon after receiving our new refrigerator we advised Samsung and they dispatched a service Tech from a highly regarded service provider. Samsung had sent a replacement front and auger, which they installed. The quality of the ice was not improved, and still many cubes were broken. We were away for the winter, and ice maker was turned off. Recently we had three successive issues with dairy products going sour prematurely, and loss of some beautiful steaks. The front panel assured me that temperature was 37. On the evening of June 5, 2016 I used two different digital thermometers and confirmed that problem was the main cooling (Upper) was registering 55 degrees F. I used a Taylor remote oven thermometer plus a fast (but not instant) digital cooking thermometer with 0.1 degree gradient. The following AM, June 6, as I was leaving the house for the day, I asked my wife to call Samsung and report the problem. That evening my wife informed me that the Samsung person asked her to unplug and then re-plug the power cord. The delivery team for our retailer had damaged the legs on the bottom of the unit, making it very difficult to move and access the power outlet. They have been slow in responding, and I will use this document to re-light a fire under them, as I am certain they will not be pleased to read their name here. I called Samsung that evening and advised that a technician was needed. They informed me that it would take several days before I heard from their agents. On the third evening past my call, I again called Samsung and was advised that there was no record of my prior call.On the 16th, the tech arrived and advised that this was a common issue caused by freeze-up of the evaporator coil in the upper refrigerator, and some new parts would also fix the ice problem. I called Samsung in an attempt to get the parts expedited, and when I requested to speak with the Samsung Service Manager I was advised that the person I was speaking with could not arrange a communication with a Samsung higher up and that absolutely nobody at Samsung would have a knife sharp enough to cut through the accumulated Samsung constipation. It is very clear that their telephone answering people have all submitted to a lobotomy before beginning work there and all they are allowed to do is read what appears on their computer screen.Due to the scheduling procedure, I was not able, until approximately 10:15, to learn if and in what time frame to anticipate the techs arrival! The tech WITH THE PARTS arrived just before 1PM on the 23rd of June. He spent several hours replacing parts, and I thought and hoped the problems were over. Ice is no better and temperatures are still warm. So today when I called, I immediately advised the computer that I would only speak with a service executive. After a 33 minute wait I got somebody in their Executive Service department. After a 15 minute conversation with him, I realized that he did not have any idea how a refrigerator worked and he placed me on A SHORT HOLD, to immediately transfer me to somebody in Refrigeration. At 1 hour and three minutes I was connected with somebody in the Dominican Republic that likely could not tell the difference between a digital thermometer and a rectal, EVEN if the digital device was inserted in his rectum. Do not ask about his comprehension of a refrigerator. He got me a reference number for the new service call at 1 hour and 20 minutes and indicated that I would hear from somebody that understood refrigeration in a day or two. THE PRECEDING WAS COMPOSED ON MONDAY EVENING, JUNE 27.Beginning on the second Tuesday of next week, I am going to begin holding my breath until Samsung discovers the concept that I invented: I have called it responsibility and service. Today, June 28, I heard from service company and learned that they will have a tech here on July 14. We are going to look for a phone number for Enterprise Refrigerator Rental, to get a loaner until somebody at Samsung elects to have our not quite one year old refrigerator deliver on its promise, keeping dairy and meat from souring prematurely, and making good ice.My 15 year old Amana did it quite well, seldom ran short and never failed to properly cool! It did not offer crushing or dispensing thru the door, but if Samsung cannot get those features right for 3 or 4 times the cost, maybe their future is in composting. I would love to discover the name and address of a responsible executive at Samsung and arrange for a second year med school student, with an interest in Proctology, to park this POS in an appropriate orifice! Is there a class action suit in process? IF SO, PLEASE SUPPLY DATA SO I CAN JOIN.

Purchased a new Samsung DMT800 series dishwasher in August of 2014. It has run quietly and its a great size. More often than not, my dishes are not clean. I have followed the manufactures recommendations to the T. Exactly one year after purchase it stopped draining and I got a 5s code on the panel. I was not able to fix the problem by following all the directions. Service call from place of purchase came to investigate. I need a new drain motor at the cost of $288 plus labor. I live alone, and I did not use the dishwasher often. I hadnt used it for about a month when this happened. I am shocked that a dishwasher that gets such little use is now costing me almost as much to fix it (with labor at $75/hr) as it was to purchase. Its pathetic and I will not purchase a Samsung again.

I bought an expensive Samsung refrigerator less than 4 years ago. The freezer doesnt work on the bottom. The air leaked because the seals broke after first year of having it. A repair guy came over and said thats typical of all the Samsung refrigerators. No fix - cold air was escaping - then the handles started to break and the bottom tray was always filled with water. The refrigerator started to get really hot and ice machine broke... Now the refrigerator is broke. Wont get cold... Person at Samsung was super rude. To get someone out here to repair it is $150 just to have someone see whats wrong. Its junk - they are ripping consumers off! There are hundreds of 1 stars... I watched the CBCs Marketplace television program which reviewed problems with Appliances. One of the speakers, Terry, from Vancouver had the exact model of Samsung Refrigerator that I did and had the same problems that I have experienced. Ice building up in the freezer and water building up in and around the crispers. Each week I have to siphon this water out. She had them fix her problem with a COURTESY REPAIR, thanks to Marketplace. I would like the same solution and have contacted Samsungs Repair Department and spoke to Vladimir in the Executive Customer Relations Department, reference number **. He told me there was nothing he could do and that there was no design flaw and no recall. I think all of the Samsung appliance owners who cant believe this rhetoric should band together and make sure that people DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG products if they cant acknowledge when they have problems and then also do nothing to rectify those problems. If anyone knows of a permanent solution, please feel free to let me know! Samsung Refrigerator Model Number RF197ACRS.

The freezer side of my side by side refrigerator/freezer started making a really weird electronic vibration-like noise. I finally emptied my ice maker and the shelving and saw that the ventilation vents in the back of the freezer were frozen shut. I imagine that the interior of the fan area was also frozen, so I had to empty the freezer and unplug the refrigerator and let the freezer side thaw to room temp so that the vents would thaw and allow the fan blades to turn without obstruction. I did not have the energy saver mode on. The ice in the ice makers was snow and the snow had drifted outside the container box and down the back of the ice maker as well. I lost a whole day thawing the freezer and cleaning up melting ice. I am hoping that the thaw process will mean that there is no permanent damage to my 1.5 yr old unit, but a new unit like this should not be causing me issues like this. I had my old fridge for 25 years with no issues like this one.

I purchased Samsungs top-of-the-line French-door Refrigerator Model no. RF4287HARS and dishwasher DMT800RHS from Lowes in November 2010. The dishwasher broke down within just a few weeks. It took 3 weeks to get parts, then a week later it broke again. Eleven months after purchase, the LCD panel started acting up on the fridge. Some icons no longer work, and the right side fridge door wont seal very well so items dont stay cold. After several frustrating calls to Lowes for service, I finally got a call from their authorized repair person who told me its not under warranty any more. We argued and I had to call Lowes again where I was assured it is under warranty still. I got another call from the service person telling me Samsung told them its not under warranty. And again, another call to Lowes where I am told its under warranty. The next day, I got a call from Lowes telling me that it was never registered as sold with Samsung so theyre using the manufacturing date for the 1-year warranty date. I had registered the appliances when I bought them but Lowes hadnt bothered to inform Samsung.A day or so later I got another call saying Samsung has now been informed of the sale date and that its under warranty. Now I cant get anybody to work on Samsung. Even their authorized repair centers say they wont work on Samsung appliances anymore because Samsung wont reimburse them for mileage for the numerous trips it takes to repair a Samsung product, extreme difficulty obtaining parts, and Samsung is an extremely slow payer. I talked to Samsung and asked if they would pay for the parts if I paid a service person and they refused. I offered to pay the service centers myself and they refused to even come look at it. I now have a $2,800 piece of junk and it looks like Im going to have to sue Samsung.

We bought this at HHGregg in June 2015 for $2000. Thought it would be our last refrigerator. No such luck! Nine months after buying it, it started making loud noises and freezing up inside the back wall. For all practical purposes, their customer service is non existent! Got passed from one to the other, asking the same questions over and over, like the model #, serial #, etc. Asked irrelevant things like how many Samsung products we owned. Then said it probably wasnt level and to look under it! Totally insane! Got nowhere so called the store that sold it to us and they finally got in touch with a rep who set up the repair. Thought that was the end of it but three months later, around July 1st this year, the clanging noise returned and it wasnt cooling properly! Same problem with icing and fan. Now it is one month out of warranty! Called previous repair company and they couldnt come for over two weeks! Tried Angies List and Home Advisor. Got call backs but they stated outright that they wouldnt work on Samsung appliances because of shoddy workmanship and numerous problems! Finally got someone to look at it. He tested it and said two motherboards were burnt out, along with needing new fan, thermostats (plural), etc. Said parts come from overseas and could take months and it would be over $1000 to fix, with no guarantee it would last! We cant go without a refrigerator so ended up junking it and buying a new one. Not Samsung! Never again! So for 13 months, we had a pretty appliance that doesnt work! These obviously should have been recalled! Were back to the top freezer model, recommended by the repairman and this time bought a 4 year warranty. Its disgusting that they can sell such junk and are not stopped! It was an expensive $2100 mistake!

We called Samsung and got transferred to five different people. In this lengthy process, we found out that our refrigerator was made in Canada. We bought the refrigerator from Lowe’s in Honolulu. Shortly after we called for a repair appointment, the fan stopped working and hundreds of dollars worth of food got ruined. Refrigerators are supposed to be made to last, at least, ten years. I have been a fan of Samsung for many years and love the televisions they make. I have three of them. I thought I would get the same quality product in their dishwasher. I purchased the DMT-800RHS. This product, simply put is a lemon. The unit has a water fill sensor, that when it gets a little dirty it produced a 9E fault code. This code will come up every couple of months. Same problem with new parts. Its like having a car that when the engine air filter gets dirty it generates a code and renders the car inoperative. This product is the biggest waste of money at $799. Samsung tech service is heartless and do not really care, only to offer to come and clean the part every couple of months for $150 plus tax. If any water falls into the machine while replacing the water fill sensor you get a LE fault code. This is a leak detection fault. Now you must bring the machine outside, turn it upside down, remove some screws (special screws) which are of a torx type and dry the internal parts. It must air dry over night. Simply put this unit is the biggest lemon and Samsung will not acknowledge it. They simply do not care. I will never buy another Samsung product ever again.

Hello, I dont normally get on this and write reviews but the phone call I just had with Samsung just blew my mind. Weve had our stove for 2 years. Should this be happening after 2 years? This peeling clearly states (from the outside) that its a cheaply made product. The best part is that I called Samsung to see if there is possibly anything we can do for this and to let them know that this is happening. They had no recourse whatsoever and that there is no warranty to cover such a thing.I kindly explained that now, its a thing and asked if theyd be able at least give me some idea on how to go about fixing this issue and they said, no. Then I said, Well then unfortunately Im going to have to write negative review. Is this what your company wants? and then they gave me a dissertation of why I should do that and where the information goes. With all of this said, wouldnt Samsung rather have a positive review by at least someone saying I called Samsung about my peeling stove and that even though there was no warranty to cover this, they provided me with a few service, or with some resources to help fix this issue.

I bought a gas range model NX58M94205 17 months ago, first the knobs are very sensitive and and on new years eve I barely touched the knob with my body and it turn on and my bread holder got on fire. Now I got a code symbol C-F0 and the oven only goes to 175 degrees and the code comebacks again. I follow the book instructions but nothing works. I can not believe that Samsung is selling appliances that last less than 2 years.

My Samsung microwave (model SMH9187) is a few months past its warranty period and is no longer working due to the SE error. The unplug/reconnect fix worked for 12 hours the first time and 10 minutes the second time. I should have done more research before shopping for a microwave. I cannot believe Consumer Reports rated this junk number 1. Do not buy Samsung microwaves.

Bought this item new in September and feel good if we get 3 washes out of 10 attempts. It constantly blinks in the heavy cycle and is basically stuck there. The unit will start up like its going to wash and gets stuck in a drain cycle. Theres no water in the tub - it just runs like its trying to drain. The problem is intermittent which drives me crazy as weve had service people out and the unit worked fine. 2 days later it was back to its old self - stuck in a drain cycle. Aside from this, it does not get the dishes dry and many times the soap dispenser doesnt open - therein the dishes only get rinsed. If I could only go back - I would buy the Bosch any day over this POC.

Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Obviously I need some sort of vent so thats where my research now takes me.

I bought the 4-door RF4287HABP. Initially thrilled with it. After about 3 days, my wife noticed her wine (kept indoor) wasnt as cold as in our old dead LG. I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 40 degrees in lower door. I contacted Samsung and was told as long as temp fits in their 34 - 46 degree range there is no problem? I said that means I should be able to set it between 34 and 40 degrees. No, I was told. I stated milk needs to be at a max 40 degrees and this is what the gallon door storage is alluded to in their advertising. Then I asked for a sup thinking she was new. I was told the same thing and that my 4 thermometers were most likely off (not considering the whole issue started w/ luke warm wine). They said I needed to use a Samsung thermometer to be sure of results. I asked where I could get a Samsung thermometer. She said Samsung doesnt make thermometers? Triple wow! Well, that was enough of their customer service for me. Back that one went for a good old made in U.S.A. GE.

Yeah like l did it. Haha. Dont purchase these expensive products. They are garbage and dont stand behind defective products. No wonder our landfills are full. Its due to companies like this who make products that dont last. I remember having appliances for over 25 years and only got rid of them because the color went out. And they didnt get dumped because they still worked and were passed onto the needy.

We bought new home and furnished with new Samsung kitchen appliances. Within the first four weeks, my wife start to notice tiny rust spots inside sheet metal tub of dishwasher. We called Lowes where we had purchased the appliances. The Lowes sales associate called Samsung dealer support customer service and they scheduled an in-home technician visit. The technician cancelled the appointment 2 hours before showing up and re-scheduled again. I took time off from work during week day for the technician visit. When technician showed up, he assessed that it is in fact rusting. He has seen parts corroded before but never this fast on the sheet metal. He said he can fix/repair things but with rust he cannot do anything. The unit needs to be exchanged. I asked him to take pictures for his documentation which he was not thinking off so he did. I waited a week but did not hear anything. So, I called and put on hold for half hour because Samsung customer service said they cannot locate any information on technician visit and they are now tracking him down. After half hour gone, I asked the agent to sort this internal between Samsung departments and get back to me. Another week gone by, no one followed up so I called again. This time was exact repeat of week before, put on hold again for half hour and still no information available from technicians visit. Like the week before, the agent asked me of the name of technician who visited our house. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and told the agent that this is something Samsung should know why customer has to call each week to sort out Samsung internal process. As a customer, I expect resolution of my problem not to help Samsung of their back office issues. I expect someone to take ownership of the issue, follow-up with whomever and get back. I ended called after half hour when agent could not locate the technician or any details of his visit. Later in the evening, I called again to see if the agent was able to find technician or find any information, the result was same. However, agent promised that someone call me next business day without me calling them back.I received a call from Samsung executive customer service that they now have the findings of the technician and indeed there dishwasher is getting rust. However, the cannot offer any exchange because the rust is cosmetic issue and they cannot offer any exchange. They cannot offer any other option and suggested to consult with the retailer. When I asked who is going to reimburse for installation cost of the dishwasher, I was told that Samsung will not reimburse. When I asked, who will reimburse for my time including time off from work for in-home technician visit and subsequent calls over three week dealing with this lemon? The answer was sorry we dont offer anything. I asked to speak to senior leadership; I was told there is no one that the agent can forward the call to.At this point, I have decided to work with Lowes to see if I can return all Samsung appliances worth over $5000 including front loading washer and dryer, large French door fridge and off course this defective dishwasher. I cannot trust the quality and workmanship of Samsung products. Period! What a shame, a company continues to make defective products. This is not the first time I have this experience, back in 2009 when I bought 55 high-end LCD TV, its LCD panel went out after first year and when they replaced the new LCD panel, six months later, it malfunctioned again resulting in swapping to a LED TV in working with their executive customer service.

Ive had a Samsung range for 4 months and am extremely disappointed with it. The black glass top is amazingly cheap for such an expensive range. It is impossible to keep clean and scratches very easily. I had my old GE range for 10 years and it still looked like new when I replaced it with this Samsung. In just 4 months, this range looks old and worn. Every pot scratches the surface. I only use the pad and cleaner supplied with the range and even that scratches the surfaces. Plus, any spillovers go down into the vents and streak the oven door glass. I contacted Samsung and they sent out a technician who took pictures and said Samsung would call me. Its been 3 weeks and no call.

RF266AEPN/XAA - Purchased 8-2012. Pbm began July 2014. The fan made a loud racket. Sears was great. Repairman said it was due to fan hitting against ice built up on drain tubes caused by putting hot food in refrig (steam turned to ice). Food safety requires hot foods must be refrigerated! I now have to defrost my refrig & freezer for 2 days to install a $200 kit to prevent this from happening again... It should have never happened in the first place. What an inconvenience. While Samsung denies having a problem, they conveniently have a repair kit specifically designed for the Non Problem. It is a beautiful and functional refrigerator but I am disgusted with Samsung. If make a mistake, admit it, fix it and people will respect you. Samsung responsibility is to reimburse everyone for the kit and the cost of installation.

Again like many of you who have Samsung french door bottom freezers, mine is now 2 year old and my freezer door will not shut properly because of the accumulation of ice in the bottom floor of freezer. So now in the fall and winter every several months I have to take out the top tray of the freezer and crack the ice behind it, wait till it falls on the floor and then clean it up, then the drawer will close. I have done everything they have told me to try and resolve this problem. Now I guess the next step is to call a repair facility to correct a design flaw of Samsung. I wonder if there is a class action lawsuit out there against Samsung. I would like to get in on it! I have already told many people not to purchase Samsung.

Purchased RF217ACPN Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy on July 2011. Nice looking model and would have been great if it lived up to its advertising and promises. Little over a year, then after warranty of course, the refrigerator was not working right. Water accumulated in and under crisper bins. Then eventually loud rotating noise which found out later was the cooling fan. For an energy efficient appliance, I now spend 24 hrs defrosting, packing food in coolers, (still lose some foods) every two months. The WORSE refrigerator ever. I tell anyone I see looking at them in a store and hopefully stop them from wasting money. A class action law suit was filed back in 2011, yet they continue to sell these faulty designed refrigerators ripping off American citizens... Why is this still happening? Samsung has the worse customer service so dont waste your time or phone minutes contacting them. I need a new refrigerator but cant afford it..Thank you Samsung for legally ripping me off. Never again!

February 24, 2016 - Purchased Samsung Microwave OTR Oven ME18H704SF. March 9, 2016 (Approx) Hung on wall and attached Microwave to newly install Kitchen Cabinet. March 15, 2016 - We were using the microwave for the 3rd time when it malfunctioned. The Internal electrical magnetron mechanism behind display overheated and cut a hole on the right side of the cooking box and started a fire. At the time this happened my wife was cooking a package of microwaveable veggies on the turntable. Cooking instructions were to microwave for 5 minutes on High. When there was about 1 minute left in the cycle my wife noticed a small fire on the inside of the unit. She opened the door and put out the fire. I opened the cabinet above the microwave and unplugged the unit from the wall.March 15, 2016 - Sent email to Samsung through their website with my info, Microwave info and the information above and below: We can no longer trust this unit in our home. Please send appropriate individual to pick up unit. Please send check for purchase price of unit in the amount of $263.74 to the following address. (Home). The Unit can also be picked up at the same address.March 18, 2016 4:50 PM. We received voicemail from Samsung-Canada notifying me that a serviceman will be out to fix Microwave on March 23, 2016. March 18, 2016 6:30 PM. I called Samsung-Canada and told them again that we do not want a service call. They should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. [Transferred to 2nd Customer Service individual, Carlton] I told him again that we do not want a service call. Samsung should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. He said he noted that in my report and someone will call me on the weekend or Monday 3/21/2016. March 20, 2016 12:00 PM. Received call from Samsung-Canada [Andre] from Executive Customer Relations Department I told him again that this unit is a Out-of-Box failure. We do not want it repaired. We will no longer have a microwave in our house. Pick up unit and refund purchased price. Andre said a serviceman needs to evaluate unit and determine that if it is repairable or defective. I told him, It started a fire, its defective. March 22, 2016 - Samsung sent a Technician from Local Appliance Service to evaluated. He said it was the magnetron and the unit should be junked. Unit was taken to shop for complete review & evaluation. April 4, 2016 - Called Local Appliance Service to request status on Microwave. Lady said she believed it was finished and that she would call me back. Received call back and set up delivery for Wednesday April 6, 2016. (Samsung decided to repair unit).April 4, 2016 - Received call from Samsung-Los Angeles 310-669-4261, she asked about a schedule change to Saturday. I told her that Local Appliance Service called me with a delivery date and I changed it from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then I told her we would not be using the Microwave Oven and I would search out other avenues for getting rid of this defective product. (She did not like what I was telling her and quickly ended the call.) April 6, 2016 - Local Appliance Service delivered Samsung Microwave with new Magnetron, Controller & Capacitor. Magnetron overheated and turned into an out-of-control Laser Gun packing 3,000-5,000 VDC with each Punch. CONCLUSION OF MY ESSAY: My wife and I never want this unit to be installed into any home. Reason being I know that the replacement parts were the same part numbers as the parts in the original unit and have an excellent chance of repeating history.

This refrigerator (Model RF263Teasesr) is 2 years old and nothing but problems. Water continually drips down door. Now 2 years old and the internal temperature is 55 - 60 degrees yet the control panel on the front says it is 38 degrees leading to food spoiling. Frost continually builds up in the twin cooling portion and within the icemaker. Nice looking fridge that cost $1600 and does not work. Never, never buy a Samsung fridge. Their help line is staffed by people who try to be polite but are of absolutely no help. To make matters worse, their warranty which supposedly covers defects in materials and workmanship one year and five years is irrelevant. The only way to determine on the extreme off chance something is covered is if a Samsung approved repair person services it. The closest repair person is over 120 miles away - so guess how much that repair bill will be that is not covered by Samsung. I will say it again, NEVER EVER buy these appliances. 1. Purchased Samsung dishwasher (DW80R2031US/AA, SKU: 6336699) from Best Buy, at Reston, VA on 03/06/2020 with paid installation & haul away, installation kit, and gasket bundle. 2. Samsung offered one time accommodation service to cover labor and parts with ticket# **. 5. Technicians from TWO different service centers stopped by and claimed the fix can’t be done. The reason from the first technician was that the kitchen floor needs to be re-modeled in order to pull the dishwasher out. He also stated that it would take him 2 hours to fix the leaking problem and he had no sufficient time to do the work (which makes no sense?). When I mentioned that there was no issue with the kitchen floor during the instillation process and during the first time Samsung came over to fix the leaking issue on 10/4/2020, the technician had no response and left.6. Another technician from a different service center stopped by about one week later and claimed that the damage is not under Samsung’s manufacturer warranty. In addition, he couldn’t explain what the root cause of leaking was. The cost estimate to fix the leaking problem by the second technician was also outrageous. As a customer, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher, used it for about 6 – 7 months, then started having leaking problems. We tried to get this fixed, but the leaking problem occurred again after about 14 months. Samsung then told the customer to contact the technician directly to get problem fixed, all at the customer’s own cost. I have dishwashers made by other manufacturers at my other properties and they still work great. It is worth noting that some of these non-Samsung dishwashers have been working for 15 years.

I bought a 25 cu ft and 28 cu ft Samsung RF25/28HMEDBSR 4 door refrigerators at the same time. The 28 cu ft died and couldn’t be repaired in 18 months. The 25 cu ft [same model] quit working in 4 years 4 months. The repair lasted just under 10 months. Samsung told me too bad, the warranty is up after having me send them copies of sales slips, etc. and string me along for about 4 weeks saying they were ‘looking into it’. They know they have a defect in this model, agreed they should have lasted 5 years, but, nothing they could do about it. These were the top of the line and I had over $5000 in 2 pieces of scrap and now again have food loss and another repair bill. With $2500, in this one alone [got my money back for the 28 cu ft because of store warranty] I can’t just junk it. Know whatever you read about their 4 French Door models, the chances are it won’t last more than 5 years at best and if you had a store warranty, it would be gone and Samsung will NOT do anything for you. It was rated at the top when I purchased them. A repairman told me this was a frequent problem with Samsung Refrigerators and I certainly wasn’t the only one.

My Samsung refrigerator, which was not in warranty, was repaired by Samsung’s service center person on 24 May 2012, and after three days it started giving me the same problem. It is not cooling (gas refill). I called them and they are not giving any response. They have given a bill and a one-year guarantee, but they are not attending my phone call. Name of the service center: Balaji Refrigeration (Mr. Balaji). Address: No 23, Karumari Amman Nagar, Kodungaiyur, Chennai - 600118. Phone number: 9841360565. Kindly look into this complaint.

Samsung Model DW80J3020UB - I notice several weeks ago that it wasnt drying properly. Couple of nights ago I was getting ready to go to bed when I noticed the dishwasher was still running in the heavy cycle which we never use. I tried to stop the dishwasher but couldnt, it kept going back to the heavy wash cycle. Then the door latch broke and dishwasher thinks its in the wash cycle with the door open. I didnt want to go to bed with fear of the dishwasher start in the wash cycle and flood the kitchen. I took the door panel off and cut the wires going to the motor and the motor kept running, got the door to close with motor still running. Got up the next morning motor not running, went to Lowes and bought a Bosch dishwasher. This Samsung dishwasher was bought in Nov 2015. After reading several other reviews I had to add this to warn people not to buy a Samsung dishwasher. PS Lowes does not carry Samsung. Any more wonder why.

This microwave (model SMH1816S) started by itself yesterday, and the entire unit was too hot to touch within 2-3 minutes. I pressed every on/off button, plus all the other buttons, and nothing turned it off. Since this is an over-the-range unit, the only way I could stop it was to turn off the circuit breaker. Im positive this would have started a fire in my kitchen, which could have burned down my entire 8-unit condo building. Fortunately I was at home. I called Samsung repair this morning, but since the machine is out of warranty, the only thing they will do is send an authorized repair representative - at my expense. The machine is six years old, so Im not going to pay for even a service call. My old microwave was more than ten years old and still worked when I bought what I thought was a good microwave. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance.

My Samsung refrigerator model Rf260BEAEWW was delivered 5 days ago. I had to attach three handles which requires 6 small anchor screws. Only four were included, so I called customer service. After a 34 minute phone call with Samsung where I was continually made to feel not like a customer but as a person trying to scam them for two screws. They advised they had to determine if it was within 30 days and after giving them the serial # I also gave them the manufacturing date of June 2017. After 30 minutes, they told me I would then have to send them a copy of my receipt. It would then have to be approved to send these two screws.Totally frustrated I went to the store I bought it. They called Samsung and the salesperson advised, after an hour on the phone with their rep, they were going to contact me and arrange when a tech could come out and look at my refrigerator before it would be verified that I would receive these two screws. Still waiting, totally ridiculous. Obviously a very authoritative organization, lacking leadership and the ability to allow simple decisions to its employees.

We purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator six months ago. Since then, we have had a service call on the ice maker (which was not screwed into the mounting and fell so you couldnt open/close the freezer door). Today, the food was melted and the refrigerator warm. Lights and temp gauges showed it was working properly. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with Samsung to get authorization of warranty to call a local appliance man. Now they will not even give me a date when it might be fixed. They will call me when they are available to come to my home. Best guess is four days away as the soonest!!!The appliance is not worth the money, and the service and warranty are definitely not customer oriented! I would definitely not recommend a Samsung, and will NEVER purchase again!

Purchased a Samsung Model ME21H706MQS microwave oven and stove in October 2017. The microwave replaced a (what I thought was junk) Whirlpool microwave that was nine years old. The Samsung was higher above the stove and met all Samsung installation requirements. Thanksgiving Day comes, cooking for family and friends and the bottom of the microwave and door melts! We contacted Samsung many times, each time speaking to different people and on several occasions receiving different ticket numbers. All in all, they have a Samsung service company come to my home, but only after providing a very short notice and stating we must be home or the service will be void. Service rep comes and claims that its physical damage and is not covered by Samsung. Well hello! It melted! In short, customer service is absolutely terrible, Samsung does not stand behind their products, their follow-up via service reps is pressing and inconvenient. Terrible experience and would not recommend a Samsung product, nor will another ever enter my home.

Samsung Refrigerator RF4298HARS - Love the look, functionality and space this refrigerator has to offer... EXCEPT the ice maker is so loud, when it drops it literally scares you. My husband and I have been startled out of sleep. We now turn the ice maker off before we go to bed. We have had friends over who have heard the ice maker and commented on how loud it is. For the amount of money we paid for this fridge, the noise is aggravating.

My wife was warming up pizza in the oven and heard several popping/crackling sounds. She looked over at the oven and it was glowing orange from the back panel against the wall and smoking profusely with a burning electrical wire smell. She immediately shut off the oven and put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. This same thing has happened to multiple consumers and should be addressed by Samsung before someone dies. Great potential here to start a house fire and cause loss of life. My wife was lucky and happened to be nearby when this occurred.

Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature
Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature, put chicken in to cook for dinner. About 10 minutes later, we heard a loud pop and smoke began to pour out of the back of the control panel. Then flames appeared. We turned off the house circuit breaker and used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. The oven door locked as though it was on self-cleaning mode. We waited until the appliance had completely cooled and removed the back of it to see where the fire had occurred. It was clearly a short in the wiring that caused the fire.If we had not been close by to hear and see the fire as it started, it could have easily spread. As it was, the house was filled with acrid smoke, and 3 days later, there is a lingering bad odour from the fire. All we lost was about $40 worth of chicken and the stove itself - we had to pry the oven door open to remove the uncooked meat, because we were afraid to plug the stove back in to see if the door would release on its own. We have three children, one of whom is a 7 month old baby, and my senior citizen parents were visiting - we are lucky that no one was injured, and that the kitchen and the rest of the house suffered no real damage. All of us have breathing problems due to asthma and allergies, and we all had headaches, sore throats, and irritated sinuses from the smoke. We are extremely upset at the dangerous situation that occurred. It was clearly the result of shoddy design and a cheaply constructed product. My husband paid $1400 for this stove five years ago when he was living alone. He barely used the appliance until September 2012 when I moved in with my two children. Since then, we have used it every day for typical cooking. We should be able to expect a stove to endure regular use for more than 3 years without any issue, especially given the initial price paid. We should be able to expect a certain standard of safety, where a household appliance should not light on fire without warning, putting life and property at risk.Since January this year, the two front elements on the stove top have malfunctioned. It is not possible to control the temperature setting on these elements - they are either off or on high. This is likely attributable to a short circuit in the wiring as well (one that did not result in a fire) since the problem occurred suddenly. In retrospect, the malfunctioning elements were clearly a sign that the appliance was dangerously flawed. We have emailed Samsung to request compensation for the loss of our appliance, and for the fact that it caused a fire that endangered our family and our home. We would like Samsung to take responsibility for funding a replacement appliance, since it is obviously the fault of the design and construction of this stove that it malfunctioned, in the amount of $1400. We will not accept a repair, since the appliance is now unusable, nor will we accept a replacement Samsung stove, since we could never trust it. We would like Samsung to be held accountable for the shoddy household range it produced.I have reported the incident to the Canadian Standards Association to complain about their alleged inspection and endorsement of this inferior and dangerous product, but according to the website, they will not publicly report on any findings if they investigate my claim because of confidentiality concerns. I interpret that to mean that they are protecting manufacturers rather than consumers. In the past, we have also owned a Samsung dryer, which we replaced in January 2015 due to a similar break-down. The dryer stopped heating up after only 3 years of regular use - we assumed it was due to the element burning out, but did not investigate further.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher serial # DW80F600UTW at Home Depot in October 2013. The machine worked well until May 2015 when it began flashing an Error Code- smart auto +heavy=overfill. I contacted an approved service provider who contacted Samsung Technical Support and was informed that: a) There was a bulletin on that model regarding overfill issues. b) Three parts were required to resolve the issue. c) These parts would cost over $400. The repair technician advised me that this was a manufacturing problem and that I, as a consumer, should not have to pay the bill to have the problem repaired. I contacted Samsung and spoke with a customer service representative who referred me to the Executive Customer Relations Department who informed me that Samsung is not willing to provide the necessary parts to resolve the error code.I am not satisfied with this response. I purchased a machine that requires the parts mentioned above to work properly. I am sure it is not Samsungs policy to create machines worth several hundred dollars to only work for one year. This is not a problem created through customer use, misuse, or abuse; it is a problem created through faulty manufacturing. I am willing to pay the labor to have the machine repaired but I believe it is Samsungs responsibility to provide the necessary parts.

Samsung Model RF28HMEDBSR. Worst ice maker I have ever had. The cubes come out like large crushed ice. The ice maker had to be replaced, about 6 months ago, now it is doing the same thing freezing up and has to be manually defrosted to work again (about every 2 weeks). The refrigerator is nosier than most - I can handle that - but I like my ice. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone that like their ice.Updated on 03/23/2018: Well I am back to the repair mode--ice maker worked for a while. I have had to defrost it twice this month and today when the tech came out, it was frozen up so bad that he had trouble removing the ice bin. Sigh! -They are going to replace the icemaker AGAIN. Thank God for the extended warranty.

We purchased our Samsung refrigerator model # RFG297AAPN, the really large, 2 door bottom freezer. We had ice maker problems right away. The ice comes out and sprays as the shoot is very large and the ice seems to build up somewhere and when you ask for ice you get quite a bit of water. Samsung sent out a repair tech who replaced the ice maker. It still does the same thing. We have had water build up and freeze under the bins. We have a home warranty that covers the refrigerator but not the ice maker. They fixed the leak but the ice maker still gives water with ice. It is a large refrigerator which is great but customer service at Samsung is hard to deal with.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!

They took some pics and said nothing could be done and will revert back to me. Up to now there is no news. I also notice that there is a dent on the freezer door. When I reported it, the seller said its too late now. I should have reported it on Day 1. The after sale service is lousy. I wish I read the reviews before buying my refrigerator. I purchased French door fridge (Model RFG298AARS) in May 2010. To be safe, also bought the extended warranty. First problem occurred within 6 months - some sort of electronic (control board) problem. Still under warranty, so no cost issue. The part was replaced at no charge. Serviceman suggested a surge suppressor to help prevent damage to electronic components. Got one and have had no similar problems since. After about a year, ice started forming under the pull-out meat tray, freezing it in place and making it difficult to open. The service tech said it was a manufacturing defect and ground off part of the drip pan. Seems to have corrected the problem. Without the extended warranty, I would be facing a large repair bill. I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher in May, 2017. In August, 2018, the unit broke - would not drain and then the circuit board fried. Initially, Samsung said they would issue a warranty allowance (even though it was 2 months beyond the warranty date) and would arrange for service or provide a new unit. After 5 days, during which they failed to find a technician, they decided they would not provide any help or compensation - I was out of luck. What kind of company is this that they sell people a product costing hundreds of dollars, it breaks after a year and thats it?! Every service person I have spoken to has remarked that Samsung DWs are extremely poorly made and designed and the advice I got was to not fix it and go buy a Bosch instead. Between multiple service calls at my request and the new unit, Im out well over $1000. I hope somebody organizes a class action lawsuit.

I have called and spoken with 6 different Samsung reps -- one told me parts were on order from Via Appliance; another said well have to refund your money for the fridge but wont refund my $ for the 5-year warranty (I have to deal w/ Home Depot for that!), and yet another said they couldnt help me -- I have to contact their external affairs dept. but refused to give me a phone number. It seems the ONLY appliance repair company that Samsung has under contract in Northern Virginia is so backed up with Samsung refrigerator repairs from customers that theyre refusing to take new service requests from Samsung. There seem to be so many problems with these refrigerators that appliance repair shops are REFUSING to repair them -- even when NEW and even when THEYRE under contract with Samsung. Unbelievable!!! I have a Samsung refrigerator SN#JKJ44BBFB069***, model # RF263BEAESR/AA. It was purchased in Jan, 2015. Under the extended warranty that I purchased from Best Buy the unit has had three service calls: to replace the evaporator cover and new style drain tubes, and the evaporator cover again (fan making noise), as well as the ice-maker and ice auger. The 5 year extended warranty expired in January 2020. Not long after the warranty expired it developed an over and under-cooling issue. I contacted Samsung for out of warranty service, but they had no service technicians in my area. I contacted Best Buy and they referred me to Samsung. I had two different local appliance repair services attempt the repair. The first company, after the service call was unsuccessful, returned all my money rather than continue to attempt repair. The second company was partially successful; they replaced the refrigerator compartment thermistor three times, the mainboard was replaced twice, the unit still over-cools (under-cooling seems to be fixed). They had no ideas as how to proceed from there. Being as it was working: with the temperature set at 44F, and a measured refrigerator temperature of 34-36F, we continued to use it without attempting further repair. Recently it has returned to its severe overcooling ways: temperature is set at 44F, with a measured refrigerator temperature of 28-30F. I contacted Samsung for a service call, Samsung is still (16 months later) unable to schedule a repair tech as there is no one to service the Asheville, NC area. Best Buy again referred me to Samsung. I have called other local appliance service centers, and they all decline to work on the unit, one suggested that I throw it away and buy any other brand?! By the way this company was recommended by Samsung.

In late 2012, I upgraded my white GE kitchen appliances with stainless stee
In late 2012, I upgraded my white GE kitchen appliances with stainless steel appliances. So I purchased a Samsung stainless steel gas stove and microwave and a Whirlpool fridge from Lowes. The stove and fridge continues to operate smoothly. The microwave worked well the first year then begin to malfunction. The power would cut off in the middle of heating a meal. I would unplug the power cord then plug it back in the outlet after 10 secs to turn the power back on. I thought that it could be an issue with the power outlet or breaker. My electrician confirmed both sources were working properly. So this malfunction occurred often until recently the microwave goes out after 5 secs of running. Then I repeat the plugging and unplugging every 5 to 10 secs until the food warms up. This is frustrating because I always have to drag the tall bar stool and use it as a stepping stool to reach the power outlet inside the rear of the cabinet. Sometimes I get so fed up that I just use the oven or stove to heat up my food. I called Samsung service center today and the rep was very polite, took my model number and zip code and provided me the telephone number of the nearest service technician. I called the number and it was not in service. I called Samsung back and this time I reached a rep who was really nice but we struggled to understand each other because of our accents. I explained to him about my earlier call and that the telephone number wasnt in service. He checked and confirmed that was the only service tech listed in my area. I asked whats the alternative. I was advised that since my microwave was out of warranty that I would need to find my own repairer. I asked what is the lifespan of this model because Ive had it 3 yrs and its been malfunction most of the time. My last microwave came with the home in 2001 and still worked fine over 10 yrs later. This is unacceptable.

He put on a new thermostat, cleaned the coils, defrosted everything and put it back together. 1 year later I had to call him back because it did exactly the same thing. Another $150.00. Then in March it did it again. I called a different repairman, thinking he might be able to truly fix the issue, and he told me straight up that Samsung refrigerators have one fan for freezer and fridge. Its a bad plan, it doesnt work and you cant fix it. Lucky me. Well, it happened to me again today, so, now every 2 to 6 months I have to take my fridge apart, defrost it and put it back together. Its a great plan and Samsung is of no help at all. Too bad so sad, but I wont be buying ANYTHING Samsung again... EVER! Ive posted on FB and continue to tell all of my friends what crap they sell.

Our Samsung refrigerator has had issues since the beginning. The ice maker on top freezes up, water pools under drawer & onto the hardwood floor even though the ice maker on top is turned off. Ice accumulates behind the back panel causing the motor to grind very loudly. When we travel we turn off the water to the house to prevent water on floor. We understand a class action lawsuit has been filed & repair calls don’t fix the problem. This brand is a lemon & we want it replaced with a reliable unit.

Like most of the respondents here, I will never consider the purchase of another Samsung product. Unfortunately in our current age, we are all well aware that companies simply dont have our best interests in mind. Samsung, however, rises to new levels of bureaucratic road blocks to service. More importantly is the fact they not only obscure what has transpired and been discussed previously, but just bold faced lie about they have or have not said.We purchased a large black side-by-side refrigerator in April of 2011. We have had more or less constant problems ever since (as mentioned elsewhere, the ice maker is a nightmare). We finally gave up on ever getting any service from Samsung. They have 2 certified repairmen in Hawaii (many repair services are qualified, but not certified, which means they cant perform warranty service). The demise of the refrigerator and our relationship with Samsung began its culmination last year when we had to pay out of pocket to replace the Motherboard, $400.00. Them 3 weeks ago the freezer stopped working. I got my previous non-certified repairman to check it out. He said the compressor had died. The good news is that its covered under warranty and most manufacturers will just refund some portion of the purchase price. After getting a hold of Samsung, I was told they would get a repair person out in 2 weeks (**). 3 days later, the refrigerator component also ceased working. I called Samsung back and demanded to be connected with the next level of service. This time I was told that they agree the wait was unacceptable and I would be refunded a portion of the purchase price. Oh, and by the way, despite the fact that I had previously been assured that the repair company (an 800 service) would have the necessary parts when they arrived, they had not in fact ordered any parts! In case youre wondering about the refund, they now contend that that option had never been discussed (**).So not only was I told that it would be 2 weeks to get a repair person out, but they would then have to order parts. I live in Hawaii, so its a foregone conclusion that the wait for those parts will be inordinate. After stewing about this for several days, I again contacted Samsung and this time I was informed that I had been informed that the repairs would not be covered by Samsung because it was out of warranty. I emphatically stated that no such thing had ever been discussed! The compressor is covered for 5 years. They eventually agreed that the compressor was still covered, then they hemmed and hawed, but in the end I was left without a working refrigerator and a many month repair process, if at all. Bottom line folks, avoid all Samsung products like the plague. I wish I had read these comments before I considered my purchase!

I purchased a new Samsung double door range. Within a month I noticed that part of the time when the oven was preheated the top door wouldnt open. However if you open both doors it will open. I was told by customer service that this was a safety option to keep a blast of hot air from coming out at you. I should have insisted that it be checked by a tech. If it were for my safety I think it would be consistent. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I bought it from Sears. I wish Id bought it from Lowes. Then I could have just taken it back like I did the Samsung microwave that lasted about a month. Never! Ever! buy Samsung anything again!

Bad design on refrigerator. The fridge can turn itself off if the door is left ajar. So even if you close the door you may not realize your unit has turned itself off and then all your food goes bad. Call the company and they say No problem. Take everything out of the trash and itemize it. Three weeks later, they say Oh sorry youre out of warranty. Really, a $2000 unit has only a one year warranty? Company is NO good!!!

My refrigerator (Samsung RF24FSEDBSR) has a unusual noise coming from the back. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug the unit for 24 hours and let it defrost (really a refrigerator without a defrost cycle). I have seen where ice builds up and the fan is actually hitting against the ice and thats what causes the noise. The 2nd issue is the ice maker, or rather the lack of ice making. The ice maker is always dropping water into the drip tray, and the tray stays full. When you dispense ice the ice is wet and usually a bunch of crumbles VS solid cubes. We called Samsung and went to Frys where we bought the unit and all they say is that its a common problem, then said check the gasket/seal on the door that lines up with the ice chute, and is the chute door closing all the way. Both worked as they should but we still have water dripping.

1 - Found it was not functional upon installation (2days after shipped from Samsung.com). Cuts off and clock resets. 2 - Were told we’d get a cb 24-48h with repair appt ,,, and no callback. 3 - Was away but called 6 days later because of no cb,,, given ticke t#. 4 - Repair showed up 2 days later and no Eval done because unit wasn’t uninstalled (no one said to uninstall it). Given appt for another week.5 - Repair came out a week later and said product had damaged frame inside unit causing fan to hit some other machinery inside,,, Needed to refund/replace. 6 - Called 24h later and was adv tooo late to refund or replace,,, that WE waited too long to do that. Referred to Warranty services in TX. 7 - Tyrone/warranty dept states Repair’s documentation isn’t clear about who or what damaged the unit….warranty voided. We are the not so proud owners of a brand new broken microwave and I felt compelled to warn others. 494 bucks is 494 bucks and the fact is we paid them for a broken product and they didn’t make it right. That’s completely unethical. Shame on Samsung. Shame.

Bought a French door with middle divided door model 3 months ago. It stopped freezing and cooling but digital display indicated temp ok. After discovering food in freezer thawed and no ice, had to discard contents. Samsung sent repair man and he replaced parts and left. It was not fixed. Called back for second visit for repair and did not have needed parts. Came back 3rd time and replaced motherboard on January 20th. 3 weeks later, same problem. Discard food, called Samsung and insisted on replacement and was told technician would come out and deem it unrepairable. I agreed but said will not allow another repair. Tech came out with more parts to fix it. I refused repair, just asked him to determine that the same issue had occurred. That was yesterday. Today on multiple calls with Samsung customer support and was told it would have to be fixed again, refused to replace this obviously defective unit. I am looking for a solution, but dont think it will come from Samsung. Contacted Lowes where I purchased it and was told it would have to go through manufacturer (Samsung). what ever happened to backing up your products? Never, ever will I buy ANY SAMSUNG product again. We are out over $2000 for the refrigerator, approx. $500 in groceries, and several hours of lost wages. Sears... Here I come. Kenmore seems to be the way to go. Lesson learned. Buyer beware!
