While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

I bought this Samsung refrigerator and in less than 6 months I had a loud noise coming from the freezer. I had purchased the extended warranty, so I called and the repairman came out and said ice had built up and he used a hair dryer. The same thing happened again and he came out and did the same thing. Now, I am having an ice-maker problem. This refrigerator has given me nothing but problems. I will never again buy a Samsung refrigerator. I have been reading that most of their refrigerators have problems. I will advise my friends and family not to buy these refrigerators.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator model #RS265TDBP in July 2010 from Best Buy. In early 2012, the computer board display on my refrigerator couldnt be read. It appeared to be working fine, you just couldnt read it and I had no idea what the temperature was. Since it only had a year warranty, the Samsung Certified Repair in my area came out to fix it at a cost of $200.00. Then in July of 2012, my refrigerator stopped getting cold. The freezer was fine, but the fridge stopped. We again called the Samsung certified person that had done the repairs before, but they said they only issued a 30-day warranty on the computer board (which we were told by another tech was the problem). We decided to go with another repair company that gave a 5-year warranty on parts. They came out and said there was a block of ice on the fan motor, which caused it to blow out the circuit board and the computer board. Now to fix it was over $300. Now just two weeks ago, Dec 2012, the exact same thing happened again. The fridge got warm, food spoiled, no fan running and the smell of burnt circuit board. We called the company who did the repairs and had them come out again to inspect. Lo and behold, it is the exact same problem. Since they gave us a 5-year warranty on the part, they are paying for the new parts but we still have to come up with the $140 labor. I contacted Samsung to tell them about the defective unit and see if they could do anything to help as it looks like we are going to have to repair this every 3-4 months or purchase a new one. All they said was its too old and there is nothing they can do. Really? Its less than 3 years old. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator! My refrigerator is a lemon.

Do not EVER buy a Samsung appliance. I bought a refrigerator in April 2016. Within 5 months both ice makers quit working and a fan motor had to be replaced. 7 months later, the fan motor started making a loud noise again, so I bought the extended warranty. I called for service and was told that they would not come out for a loud noise (it was extremely loud). Finally, both ice makers quit working again and then the freezer quit working. I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get someone to come fix it. Each time they tell me that someone will call within 24 hours to schedule a visit. Nobody ever does. The 2 companies that they assigned it to refused to do the work. Now they are telling me that they have nobody in the area to do the work.Today I spent an hour on the phone being transferred to wrong departments. Then they started me all over again and tried to assign the work to the same 2 companies that refused to do the service. Im extremely frustrated and will NEVER, EVER, buy another Samsung product. TN has a lemon law, and when this refrigerator goes out again (because I know that it will), I will fight the battle to get my $$ back.

We purchased a new Samsung (model RSH7PNRS) side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water through the door. This is supposed to be Samsungs latest and greatest design. From the start, the ice maker has never worked properly! It makes ice but will not dispense it. In less than 2 days, the ice chute froze up. Samsung and the dealer, Omni electronics, refused to fix the unit, or give a refund. It’s such a huge disappointment! Unfortunately, we paid cash, and have no recourse without going to the court, and bearing those expenses. We may picket by the dealer’s showroom! Dont buy Samsung products!

I bought a Samsung refrigerator only 6 months back from the army canteen. It is sad that it is not cooling and on complaining 3 times. Every time I complained I was told to follow certain steps... I did it... but with no respite... Finally I had the technician who checked the fridge and gave me the good news that a part needs to be replaced since its under warranty. But my complaint is that the company checks the fridge before dispatching the product... How can this happen? I pay my hard earned money to get a refrigerator that gives problems in 6 months and does not cool... Every day I have to throw things from the fridge.

Ice cubes freeze at top of ice maker. Leaks water. Had it replaced with a new ice maker, 5 months ago and it does the same thing. Samsung has the absolute worst customer service. Their products fail, and Samsung does not take responsibility for design defects that result in multiple failures, even after multiple repairs. Please do your research from feedback from consumers who have actually purchased and owned the product for more than two years. (Although Samsung’s refrigerators are failing at a faster rate than ever, as some people are now experiencing problems within the first months of ownership as opposed to two years.)

My Samsung is probably 15 years old by now. It has been one of my best investments. I think I have had one repair in all that time that may have been $150 which at the time I thought was outrageous. But looking back now was cheap considering the longevity of my refrigerator. It looks great, it is still in style and is easily maintained. It is silver which is very much still in vogue and everything works! I have always taken good care of my appliances so they will last a long time. Now that I have bragged on it, well well see.

I bought the Samsung french door refrigerator which was not inexpensive but I thought it would be worth the money. As soon as the warranty was out, it started to make a really loud noise. Apparently, frost builds up behind a panel that I cannot access and the circulation fan hits the ice. I have had a repairman out twice. Samsung says to unplug it for 5 hours and let the Ice melt. I have to do this every 5 days. Sadly, this is junk and I am probably going to have to get a new refrigerator after only three years. If there was a lower review that one star, I would give it.

So I bought a whole new appliance package when we had our house built and I bought all Samsung. We took possession of the house March 7, 2014 and a few days over the one year mark when I opened the microwave door it lost power. I tried resetting the breaker, and unplugging and plugging the microwave back in. Finally when I was about to give up I opened and close microwave door a couple of times and the power came back on. I tried contacting my rep who I purchased my appliances through but he didnt get back to me for a couple of weeks because he was out of town. When he got back I was told to contact Samsung directly. When I contacted them they said because I was over the one year mark my warranty was out of date and there was nothing they could do. When I talked to the repair company they said it sounded like a faulty door switch and it happens with Samsung quite often, so now I have to pay $100 out of pocket to pay for them to adjust the switch/wire in the door. Its more than a little frustrating that Samsung can get away with selling these microwaves with faulty door switches and wont stand behind their products.

DW80F600UTS/AA - We have owned this dishwasher for 18 months. We purchased a new home, and the dishwasher was brand new. After six months the delicate light came on. We did our research and called Samsung. They recommended checking the drain hose and house drain as the error is a drain error. There was no issue, so we disassembled the sump where the screen was to inspect. There was very little amount of debris in the sump. We reassembled and the problem went away. Three months later the same problem occurred, and we went through the same scenario. I finally had enough after the fourth time assembling and disassembling the dishwasher and contacted Samsung. All they would offer was to set up a service ticket now and that it was out of warranty. This issue should not be occurring with a dishwasher that is 18 months old. Stay away from Samsung Dishwashers. They are nothing but a headache.

I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 20
I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 2017. At first, they were going to send out a tech to look at it since it completely just stopped working. My microwave is less than a year old and under warranty. After three days without a call from a tech to schedule an appointment to come fix it I called Samsung back. I explained that no one has come by or called about fixing my microwave. The customer service rep said they would contact the company about coming out to repair it. I also asked for the companys number. After still not hearing from them I called the company myself. No one answered so I left a message. After another few days with no call back I called Samsung again and reported the issue. Next, the rep put me on hold and tried to contact the company with no success. That rep said they would keep trying and call me back. Finally, after more than 2 weeks without a working microwave a Samsung rep called stating that they did not have anyone that could repair it and would issue a refund. But of course, there is a catch! I had to supply a receipt that I no longer and had paid cash for the microwave so no bank record. Once I explained this they said they could still issue a refund but it would take 10 days of review and then they would send out an email to start the process for getting a refund. I am not a criminal nor am I trying to scam them. I would much rather have my microwave fixed than purchase another one. But that does not seem to be an option. I cannot understand why it would take 10 days for review. Also, the refund is going to be $37 less than what we paid. We have had other Samsung products that we have had to replace or repair. We replaced our dishwasher and our refrigerator need to be replaced. It has several issues. We will not be purchasing anymore Samsung products or recommending them! We finally just went ahead and purchased another microwave and have the Samsung sitting around waiting for the email about getting a refund. Samsung requires you to take a picture of it with the cord cut and the serial number. I get this procedure but I should not have to wait 10 days for an email in order to send this information in. It seems like a stall tactic to me. I am a service business owner and would never have a customer wait over a month for results!

Samsung 4-door fridges ice maker is junk. $2,000 Samsung fridge breaks after 2-1/2 years! I had a Maytag for 22 years and it never was serviced and was still running fine when I retired it for peace of mind. Enter Samsung - so much for peace of mind. Ice maker began leaking before a year was up. Kept removing ice buildup. But at 2-1/2 years, the ice maker quit working. Motor was bad. Water sprayed around tray from supply hose encased in ice. Locked ice tray in place, so couldnt remove. Stopped producing ice. Service rep was good (no complaint), but cost quoted at $300 for service call and new motor. Water supply hose issue cant be resolved. Obviously, lots of ice maker issues posted here. Shame on Samsung. Cant make ice; cant make phones.

Similar to what has been stated, our brand new ME21H706MQS Microwave unit caught fire after the 4th use. We are engineers so we caught it, put out the fire and unplugged it. We called Samsung the next day and they told us that we needed a receipt to get reimbursed. Brand new home, just built, so we had to ask builder for info. Turns out he purchased it at Home Depot who does not participate in the Samsung replacement program. They will reimburse the cost of the unit and no more; no removal or installation fee unless we have proof we paid to get it installed. So now my builder needs to invoice himself for the installation so I can get someone to remove it and install an over the range hood in its place. Even GE microwaves have reported fires and failures. Will not replace the unit and will reheat food the old fashion way instead.

Purchased a new Samsung DMT800 series dishwasher in August of 2014. It has run quietly and its a great size. More often than not, my dishes are not clean. I have followed the manufactures recommendations to the T. Exactly one year after purchase it stopped draining and I got a 5s code on the panel. I was not able to fix the problem by following all the directions. Service call from place of purchase came to investigate. I need a new drain motor at the cost of $288 plus labor. I live alone, and I did not use the dishwasher often. I hadnt used it for about a month when this happened. I am shocked that a dishwasher that gets such little use is now costing me almost as much to fix it (with labor at $75/hr) as it was to purchase. Its pathetic and I will not purchase a Samsung again.

RS265TDRS - We have been monitoring the refrig temp for a week because the liquids seemed cool but not cold when the temp was set at 38 D.F. and the display monitoring inside temp when you open the refrigerator door always read 38 D.F. Lowered the temp to 34 D.F. And monitored the refrig for two days. The display always says 34 D.F. on the outside when you open door but the thermometers we put inside have been well above 44 D.F. for two days and as high as 48 D.F. Thermometers placed in a full glass of water inside the refrigerator overnight indicate a temp of 45 D.F. Temp of tomato sauce in frig also above 45 D.F. Putting same 2 thermometers in freezer set at -4d.F. indicates a temp of -3 or - 4 D.F. We are waiting for service and the temperature is now well above 50 D.F. and yet the display that shows the supposed temp in the refrigerator says 36 D.F. when you open the door which is what the temp is set at. The safety issue is not only there is a design defect that causes the coils in the refrigerator to freeze up but the sensor that lets consumers know what the temp in the box is sending false and misleading temp readings allowing people to think their food is at a safe temp when in fact it is not. Still waiting for service and now the refrigerator is at 60 D.F. and the display is reading 38 D.F. when you open the door. This may go on for days, weeks and even months for some consumers before they realize that they have been eating spoiled food. Samsung needs to acknowledge design flaws that allow the digital temp display to show normal safe temperatures yet in the refrigerator temperatures are 10-15 degrees f. higher. There are many consumers who have been ripped off and played Russian roulette with food, health and safety because the refrigerator coil freezes, the fan stops working and the air temps in the refrigerator rise unknowingly to the consumer. If you own a Samsung refrigerator you may have been eating spoiled food for weeks, months or forever if you are not aware of this problem. Calling for everyone on the www to let Samsung know that their negligence in this matter will not be tolerated and consumers will get justice, satisfaction and restitution for the full purchase price including removal and destruction and recycling of all the defective Samsung refrigerators.

We purchased our Samsung rs261mds refrigerator a few years ago. Since then the cooling fan has gone out several times, and I have to defrost the freezer to keep it working. The 3rd time samsung sent someone out, I was not told what was wrong, then I was told that samsung was not paying for the repair after it was completed (They had extended my warranty once because of the fan going out a 2nd time) and that if I did not pay my bill I would be blackballed and no one would ever fix my fridge. Then if that wasnt enough, the repairman came to my house the next day and told my son he left steamer at my house. When my son went to look the repairman walked in and began going through my cabinets. At that point my son made him leave. I called samsung and spoke to someone in their executive resolutions department who apologized. Said they would be paying for the repair and that a supervisor from the repair place would call to make an appointment to come out to thoroughly my fridge. When my fridge stopped working 1 month later, I was told they would send someone out at my expense! Now my fridge has stopped working. I lost all my food. I am disabled and not working and my husband lost his job 4 months ago. Vann snapped the computer ice maker and did not wait even long enough to see if ice maker worked. It did not.Plus Vann said he would fix my ice maker on my Whirlpool. Supposedly wrote down info. He has never returned to put in the new ice maker I bought on the Samsung and never came on Whirlpool. Even told him to order parts. He vanished and I did not turn him in. I waited for receipt of my payment. Never came. Wake up Louies. That Vann guy is ruining your good recommendation I was given by one of your customers. Obviously they had an honest employee of yours to service their appliance. Samsung you suck. Worst product I ever bought. That is why I had ask to fix a 10 year old Whirlpool. From getting class action lawsuit with every one of you that reviewed this store.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in July of last year. When it came home and got set up the next day it started chiming!! I called to have it repaired which took almost a week for tech to come and was told the sensor in door was bad. The chiming has started again and its not dispensing water or ice so Im back to buying water until this can be fixed. I went to store to complain and was told Samsung refrigerators have no Warranty at all.. I am so so disappointed with Samsung and would not recommend anyone purchasing them!!!

I would like to know how I can sue Samsung for 1) providing me a crappy product 2) Not honoring their warranty and causing me a lot of heartache by ruining my holiday weekend and my time with my family which I now have to spend cleaning dishes! I bought a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator in Sept of 2010. In short it was a lemon from the day we bought it. The ice maker immediately had to be repaired, then shortly after that replaced. We were also experiencing water leaking into our crisping drawers spoiling our vegetables as it pooled up to 1/2. The repair person that came to replace the ice maker made a guess as to what was happening and did a nonstandard repair in the back panel where the water runs down to fill the ice trays. He fixed it temporarily. The last time our ice maker was replaced was February of 2012 and here we are once again with a broken ice maker and water pooling in our crisping drawers 1.5 years later and Samsung will do nothing for us. I am an interior designer and have been specifying appliances for homes for over 20 years, and will never recommend nor purchase from Samsung again.

We bought this range, Samsung NX58H565OWS in October 2014. In 3 years of normal family usage, we have had to replace the thermal coupler twice. All the knobs that control the stove top have broken and the cast iron grates have even broken. In over 25 years of owning appliances, I have never had one that broke down in so many ways. Never had knobs or grates broken before and two thermo couplers??? To make matters worse, my local appliance repair company wont service Samsung, wish Id known that before I bought it, lesson learned. I understand why they wont service this badly constructed stove/range. When I contact Samsung for help, the first guy hung up on me. The second lady just sent me to the parts department so that I could purchase all the replacement parts I needed. Time to buy a new stove, never again will it be a Samsung. Really disappointed!

Bought this fridge in April 2016 had ice maker replaced November 2016. Ice maker sheet if ice could not use was replaced. Now April 2017 ice maker iced over. Call again for service was told my warranty was expired but they would give me extension to have it replaced again. I called April 17 for service. They set the appointment for 4-28. They text me the name of company ticket number and phone number. Well of course no one showed up or called. I called Samsung repair service, was told the service center cancelled my appointment after I took the day off work. Well anyone that has dealt with Samsung knows they make you so mad you end up hanging up on them. So now to file a complaint with the BBB. As Ive seen all the complaints they cant do anything about it. Samsung should not be allowed to sell this junk.

We purchased a French Door Rf323TEDBSR from Lowes. The top ice maker would not give us cubed ice. We had repairmen come out and try to fix it. After 22 hours on multiple phone calls to Samsung, Lowes replaced it at their cost. They replaced it with the same model, new in the box. The new one had the same problem. Samsung refused to replace the ice maker and said thats normal. We have to open the bottom drawer to get ice. When we have parties we have to explain about how the top ice maker does not work. Because I worked a full time job and we have three kids, I ran out of energy to take off work and to keep calling. At the time I did work at Lowes, and it has cost Samsung a lot of business considering I worked in the appliance department. Also, I still tell people about our problems after 8 years. I have other friends that are also complaining about their refrigerators. That is why I decided to write this.

RE: Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF26J7500. We had the ice maker repaired as it was leaking and the ice was slushy. Ice would build up in the maker and had to be chopped out. The ice maker drawer sticks/freezes and is difficult to pull out. It is cracked. Items in the back of the refrigerator were also freezing. The repairman also fixed the wheels on the pull out drawer because they kept falling off. The drawer has never worked correctly. The cover is cracked, it sicks and rubs against the plastic on the sides. This is causing white shavings and dust particles. This is a huge concern as it is a SAFETY HAZARD. The dust and shavings are getting on items in our refrigerator. Ingestion of this plastic is obviously toxic. In addition, we have two cracked door bins. I called Samsung today. After being told the drawer and bins are not covered, I asked for a supervisor. The associate came back on the phone and stated the supervisor also said it is not covered. I asked again to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold again. The associate came back on and stated they would replace the broken items. I requested my concerns be documented well, and reiterated my disbelief that Samsung has not recalled this refrigerator. Both the store I purchased the refrigerator from and the repair technician stated that Samsung refrigerators are notorious for these issues and they receive continual complaints from Samsung customers.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

Ive had ongoing issues with the error code 9E since I purchased a Samsung dishwasher 3 years ago. Ive had it serviced 2-3 times per year. I had problems under warranty and under the extended service contract from Lowes. Now I am on my own to continue to struggle with it. I replaced a unit from another manufacturer that was 20 years old that worked better. I am very disappointed and will never purchase another Samsung product. The 9E error code is the water fill tank which can get blocked or dirty. I use dishwashing grease cutting soap occasionally to reduce this problem. But I clean and rinse my dishes with soap and water prior and never put food covered dishes in. This has been a major mistake in purchasing. I intend to replace a less than 5-year-old machine as this error code goes on every other washing.

Purchased this RF267AERS fridge in 2012 and the nightmare began almost right away. The fridge was making a loud noise that would stop once the doors were opened. Called for support but since the fridge was out of warranty by 6 months, they would do nothing! This was an expensive model and is a piece of crap. Apparently plenty of people have the same problem with this model. The back wall freezes up and the fan blade hits the ice so if you do not unplug and melt the ice, you risk ruining the cooling fans. What a pain in the neck trying to store food and spending all that time to have the fridge freeze right back up every six months. This month, I have already defrosted it twice and it looks like I am going to have to do it again. All they say is there is no recall. THERE SHOULD BE!!!!!!!!! No other help or advice is given. I was a loyal Samsung consumer but will never purchase another Samsung product, EVER!

Since my purchase date was July, my one year warranty was already up by the time I called. I refused to call Samsung and have them come out because when I did inquire I was told it would be 65 bucks just to come out and tell me whats wrong with it. So now 3 years late, still no new dishwasher. I just have a piece of stationary sitting in my house being decoration to go with the rest of my kitchen. We purchased our refrigerator in August of 2010. The refrigerator side has failed cooling 4 times in three years. Each time, the technician comes out and repairs it by replacing the same control board and coil heater unit. Each time, it cools fine for 8 to 10 months. Then it fails again. Same failure. They are not addressing the real issue, just replacing the failed components. The cause of these failures is not being addressed. The last technician even said there was a defect in the design. In December 2015, I purchased a Samsung built-in dishwasher model DW80F600UTS/AA. I finally got it installed around July 2016. By November 2017, the dishwasher stopped working. The pump was running even though there was no water in it. I opened the door and the pump does not stop. The heavy LED was flashing even though I never selected heavy cycle. I try to turn off the dishwasher using the power button, it turns off for 2-3 seconds then it comes back automatically and the pump is just keep going. The only way to shut it off is by flipping the circuit breaker. I tried every recommended method, which included keeping power off for a while and then reapply, but nothing worked. As soon as power was applied, the pump started running and wouldnt shut off using front panel controls. An appliance repair technician came to my house in December 2017, but the regular warranty had expired. Fortunately, I had purchased a 3 year extended warranty. The technician diagnosed a bad control panel and sump pump assembly. It took 3 months for the parts to arrive. Once the new parts were installed (March 2018), it worked great; for approximately 3 months and then broke again (June 2018) with the exact same problem. A repair technician came out and replaced the sump motor again. The dishwasher worked until the end of August 2018 and quit working again with the exact same symptoms as the previous two times. A repair technician came out on 4 September 2018, diagnosed a bad sump motor and placed it on order. Around 4 November 2018, I called for status on when I could expect my dishwasher to be repaired. I was informed the motor had to be ordered from Korea and they had no idea when it would be shipped. I canceled the service request and am going to trash the dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

Purchased a french door model in 13 that has worked great. Never missed a beat, no complaints. Based on this success bought another more expensive with cold door in Nov 15. Last week which is early Nov 16 the center drawer control panel failed to respond to input. Samsung did send an authorized tech out that diagnosed the issue and had to replace the entire drawer which is currently on order. That is a big fail to me. Replacing an entire drawer vs the panel is poor design and worse poor reliability. This refrigerator has hardly been used.Had I known what the reliability was of this product I would have either purchased an extended warranty which you cannot do with Samsung after the purchase or purchased another brand. I am now stuck with the knowledge that if something fails it will be expensive to fix and no way to lessen the pain with an extended warranty. Buyer beware. I purchased my 2nd Samsung refrigerator based on how great the first one has treated me...

This refrigerator broke down 2 days after the warranty expired. They wanted a hundred dollars just to look at it before any repairs even started. I ran into an unsolvable trying to fix it myself. The connector to the evaporator fan shorted out. Half of that connector is built into the back wall of the refrigerator section. I got a new fan as the wire was clearly burnt off. I plugged the fan in and nothing, the refrigerator still did not work. I took it apart again and this time noticed that the tiny pin in the connector mounted in the refrigerator back wall was also burned off. I couldnt find that part anywhere. So I had to call for a service tech and pay the $100.00 call fee. The tech came out, inspected it, and deemed it unrepairable. So I now have a $4000.00 piece of trash. This is clearly Samsungs fault. It is a very poor design. If you search the internet you will see hundreds of complaints about icing and water build up in this section of the refrigerator. Samsung refuses to do anything about it or compensate me in any way. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR! They do not stand behind their products or care about their customers, or have a good designed product!

Ceramic cooktop model# NE59J342*SS - Cooking sausage on 3-month-old stove (about the 3rd or 4th time using the burner). After cooking then cleaned stove top and noticed a very small crack on burner! I had no idea where it came from. Noticed there was a small crack about 3/8 in long. I called with complaint and received call from Starkey Williams for repair, was told to take photo. Photo was sent to Samsung. The person from customer service said it was not covered because the warranty does not cover physical damage and said something was dropped on it and broke it. Drop damage??? I never dropped anything on it. Samsung refused to cover it stating physical damage not covered under warranty. Samsung refused to consider this could be manufactured defect stating it was physical damage. There is no indications that anything was dropped on it. Executive customer relations put me on hold for 45 min and then I was disconnected twice after waiting to speak to supervisor. Then finally was able to reach supervisor voice mail (what a surprise!), left message to return call and hopefully I will hear something soon. But will probably be told the same thing not covered under warranty, still not happy. Stove was recommended by Lowes rep! Samsung is the worst company I have ever dealt with!! Still fighting to see what someone can do.UPDATED ON 09/02/2015: Update to my complaint about Ceramic cook top model# NE59J342*SS. After several calls to Samsung and from Starkey Williams with no solution except for me to pay out of pocket for the cost of parts, labor and repair of range (approximately $300.00 for new cooktop and $175.00 for service call). Since I had purchased this range less than three months ago, I became very frustrated and decided to contact Lowes with my problem. I informed them of the complaint and was told I should have come to them first. I then quoted to Lowes the electrical safety warning statement from page 6 of the Samsung user manual. If your appliance malfunctions or if fractures, cracks or splits appear, switch off all cooking zones, unplug the range from the AC wall outlet and contact your local service center. (That sounds like this is not a new complaint, may have happen to someone else?) I didnt know who the local service center was, so I contacted Samsung with no help. Lowes instructed me to contact Lowes Advantage warranty service. I did and again no help as their warranty only covers what Samsung warranty covers, and does not cover physical damage. So, now what? I looked on back of sales receipt for Lowes return policy and found at Lowes, customer satisfaction is their goal. So, I hoped they might be able to repair or replace the item since it was purchased less than 90 days ago. Second trip to Lowes and discussion with appliance sales person and manager I was granted a solution and that was to replace the damaged range with another same model range. Im happy Lowes was able to help me and hope that I dont have any problems with this range. The delivery person said he was surprised of problem with Samsung range as he felt Samsung was a good company and made good products. I hope hes right. Thank you Lowes for your support in this issue.

Wish I could use all the slangs in here to define how Samsung AC/Service Center people work. Main thing to understand: NEVER EVER buy a Samsung AC. Go for LG instead. I have all good reviews about LG from few of my friends. Samsung is all interested in selling the product. They are not concerned if the customers are facing issues with the unit nor concerned to consider feedback and work on the same. I started noticing a bad odor from the indoor unit within two days of installation (and let me tell you that I hardly use it in the night for an hour at the max). I called up customer care, registered a complaint. Well, the person assigned Mr. ** was very rude and has soo much of attitude that he does not want to listen to what you want to say and disconnects.Next day when I again call him, he says he will attend. He comes, just sprays the perfume and leaves. I myself had done that many a times before he could visit to bare the smell. This is not called as a service. But the bad odor exists. I know that bad odor can be for two reasons, if some dead insects in the drain pipe or if there is a lot of dust collected within the filters. This cannot happen within two days and I am sure about that and as I mentioned, I havent even used it that much. I registered a complaint again through email. I get a con call arranged. The service manager Mr. ** says he will get the indoor unit replaced. I asked him to service it first and then if the issue persists, then to replace. He acted off to be a very good human being on call and provided a contact number to directly contact him for issues. There was another technician arranged to look into this and he did clean the filters, drain pipe and all. But the same day, in the night, the smell was back. So I tried contacting Mr. **, and he does not pick up the call. Once he picked up and promised to give a callback but I did not receive any. Then after trying numerous times, he picks up after a day and he transfers the call to someone and when asked about the replacement as promised, he is all rude like Mr. ** and says will send a technician. I was explaining him the scenario and he is not bothered to listen and he laughs over when asked about replacement and disconnects the call. Let me tell you, the technicians who come for installation, issues, they are all inexperienced, irresponsible. They dont know how to explain anything. They hardly look like 17 years old. I am not saying all are inexperienced, but yes, people who did come to my place were.Samsung is the worst product ever. DO NOT BUY. Their service sucks. Such an harassment for a customer. Service people are inexperienced and irresponsible. I am going to write everywhere I possibly can. I just wish and pray your business stops in the AC world. You guys should consider recruiting experienced people, or at least give a proper training and should learn how to talk to a customer. ** unit and service. Model number: AR12KC3HATPNNA.

I purchased a series of Samsung appliance just less than 2 years ago. They have all, every single one, had problems. The ice maker on the fridge has to be manually defrosted about every 3rd week. When it is working it drips water down the door making the door shelves unusable. The heat sensor on the oven was replaced once already and is now giving problems again, which requires me to pull out and unplug the unit after each time I use the oven. The dishwasher door no longer closes properly, so I have to pull it out and attach a clamp on each side to use it. In each case the problems started just as warranty expired. I have had multiple service calls (at my own cost) and in no case was the problem addressed. The fixes that I have for I learned from the internet. In summary, they are clearly poorly made, the service is non existent, and generally, I plan to make it my goal in life to spread the word about how crappy these appliances are.

I bought over the range microwave in September 2008 for about $300.00. Immediately, the latch was broken and needed fixing, that was covered. Now its running normally, making a slightly different noise when on but not heating anymore. I called Samsung, was referred to a repair company, but they never came for the appointment and have made no attempt to re-schedule.I have called them several times and no calls back. I called Samsung again for a new repair company, am waiting for them to call now. I can not tell if the part is under warranty (Magnatron) or not since no repair person has come yet. I try to find out if replacing it would be better. My first microwave lasted 20 years, this, less than 2.5 years. Samsung makes junk and does not stand behind their junk. I will not buy Samsung again in any type of appliance. Overall their reputation in the last few years is taking a noise dive and rightfully so.

We purchased our refrigerator June 11, 2013. Within a year it was not cooling. When I called wholesale appliance they told me to call Samsung. I did. They told me it would be more than two weeks before service. I had food spoiling in the refrigerator. I finally called someone else to repair it. Now six months later it is full of food from Thanksgiving and not cooling again. I am at my wits end. I need to know what recourse we have.

Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together
Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together in convection. After 4 visits and some part changes, there is no change. I did a few extensive digital and analog temperature tests to document that: 1) The initial at temperature beep is usually close but then over time, the temp drifts down to over 100 degrees F below where it should be. 2) When I restart the oven because its too cool, the oven display confirms the low temperature I measured. 3) As the oven restart, the convection fan or fans blow such hot air the food in the middle of the oven that the food is burnt to black while food not in the center or on different racks is not burnt. 4) The restart temperature once the beep sounds is accurate. 5) The convection fans are always blowing the hottest air straight out the middle. Not circulating the air around or reversing fan direction once and a while. So a blowtorch on food in the middle of the oven. From reading web forums, cnet in particular, seems like all of these Samsung ovens do pretty much the same thing. Seems like a programming problem in the firmware. Resolution is under review by Samsung. But do I even want another fix or a replacement? No. I want a refund and Ill buy a different brand.

I purchased a Samsung RF323TEDBSA three door refrigerator February 2013 and have had terrible issues with both ice makers and front door water dispenser and overall think the stainless finish is impossible to clean. The front door water dispenser always drips down the front of the refrigerator requiring constant cleaning and absolutely nothing cleans this poor quality of stainless. I have tried everything! The bottom freezer is not working at all and will not reset. The top freezer has to be defrosted monthly with a hairdryer and reset, to get any ice. Even after those bizarre behaviors, the ice is always wet, very slow to make and drop and always mixes at least 5 or so tablespoons of water in with the ice (and again drips down the front of the refrigerator). I actually bought two of the same refrigerators for two different homes and absolutely think both are just junk. What a joke... As I thought I was buying a higher end appliance! Just another comment, on the Samsung microwave I bought at the same time... Junk. I had to fixed the cracked plastic on the door hinge myself with a You Tube video and rubber band, just so the door would close so the appliance would work... After two years of use (mostly reheating food). I caution all appliance buyers to stay away from Samsung appliances, regardless of the model. Also, getting service without paying an arm and a leg is impossible.

I also have a problem with my freezer/fridge, a repair man had been out twice. All he does is defrost it with a blow dryer, the drain does not work properly so the bottom of the freeze becomes a skating rink and you can open the bottom drawer. When this happens, the fridge also quits working so I have to take all my food out and put it in a ice chest, put all my frozen food in another freezer and defrost it for 1 to 2 days. I do not feel I should have to deal with this. About every two weeks it freezes up, so I do not even use the freezer part anymore, my unit is two years old, very very very unsatisfied. Samsung or Conns appliance need to give me a new one of equal value but definitely not a Samsung brand.

My husband and I needed a new refrigerator, after our Kenmore finally bit the dust. We opted to try a different brand, Just because, I guess we wanted a change. We went to the big-box appliance store, hoping to find something fabulous! The salesman was pleasant enough, and he seemed to be knowledgeable about all of the brands they carried. We really seemed impressed with the Samsung. It was super bright, as it was really well lit on the inside. He touted the greatness of the Cooling Door feature, telling us it would keep our milk, OJ, etc nice and cold, and offer easy access so we wouldnt have to open the whole door to get our most-used items. Its never an easy task figuring out how an empty refrigerator will work when you load it up at home.It wasnt a good thing, when the repairmen had to order a new door the day it got delivered, as it was non-functioning for the water/ice. It also was damaged, so I should have known we were in for it! Ive had the repair techs out 4 more times in 2 years. The thermostat will not keep a steady temp. It either freezes everything, or it gets dangerously warm! We lost an entire refrigerator/freezers worth of food to excessive warmth. I spoke with Samsung directly, and the rep told me to take all of the spoiled food out of the garbage, photograph it and send the photos to them! WHAT??!! It was right in the middle of the summer! No way were we going trash-picking! I purchased 2 thermometers specifically for refrigerators/freezers to monitor the temp. Never consistent... The ice dispenser leaks water down the front of the fridge, so I have to keep a washcloth on the cup holder shelf. The front of the refrigerator is stained from the water on the stainless steel all the time. The inside has a crack right where you open the door. The freezer is horrible to utilize. The top drawer doesnt pull all the way out, so you cannot reach things easily. Because of the ice maker/dispenser, the inside shelves of the door hardly hold anything! Im betting I am forgetting even more of the items that have been plaguing us since this unit was delivered. One repair tech even told me I should consider putting it out in the driveway for a garage sale, hoping someone would unload it from me! Please dont consider Samsung! They make great electronics, but appliances? NO WAY! I have a stove from Samsung that I shall also submit a review for as well.

All of the negative reviews are true. This ice build up problem is real. I’ve had it fixed twice in 3 years since I bought it. Our washing machine has been shaking and making weird noises as well as the dryer. The dishwasher started leaking right before I started this review which led me to write it to warn people not to buy Samsung appliances. 3 years and nothing but headaches. We purchased a Samsung Black Stainless, 4 door flex zone fridge. After being ordered it arrived May 27, 2016 for a new home that was being built. It was installed July 4, 2016 which was when we moved in and started using it. By August 2017, the ice maker completely malfunctioned. We had frozen solid icebergs all around the ice maker, no ice in the ice cube tray. Looked up troubleshooting in the manual, cleared all the built up icebergs and it worked for about 2 days before it completely froze up again. After trying for a couple of weeks we called a repair person which cost $80 for him to come to look at and possibly repair ice maker. He indicated that the ice maker needed to be replaced. In September we called Samsung support, they told us we had to call a Samsung approved repair person and provided us with a name of the company they approved and then I was told I be referring to the troubleshooting area in the manual in the future before contacting support (apparently if you feel you need support you shouldn’t call them). Anyway, called the approved repair company and they came out and said ice maker probably needed to be replaced but tried to seal the ice maker with weather stripping to see if it might have been warm air coming from the fridge that was causing the ice maker to malfunction. That didn’t work, again, within 2 days, everything was surrounded by frozen icebergs again so the repair people said they would contact Samsung to get parts to replace the defective ice maker. They also indicated that Samsung had admitted there was a design flaw in their icemakers that was causing them to fail. This repair company came on Nov. 15, 2017. It took 3 months for the parts to come in after according the repair company said they ‘had a struggle with Samsung”. They arrived on Feb. 14 with the parts and repaired the ice maker and handed us a bill for $614.00!!!! The defective ice maker has now cost us a total of $850.00!!! We had no forewarning from the repair company that it was going to cost this much. They had told us in Nov. that it wouldn’t be more than $300 so we were completely blindsided. We never would have agreed to have the ice maker repaired if we had known we were going to be charged another $614.00. I was very upset so contacted Samsung customer service. They asked for a copy of the receipt for the service, a copy of the receipt for the fridge, serial number, etc. I asked them to be reimbursed for the cost of the parts which was almost $500 of the $614 bill. Samsung responded back saying the fridge was past warranty and they would not reimburse me for anything. The fridge lasted 13 months, just long enough for Samsung to clear the warranty period and not have to take responsibility for their admittedly defective product. It appears it is reasonable to them that their fridges last for only a year before major malfunctions and repairs are required. Samsung in my opinion provides inferior, knowingly defective products and does not stand behind their products. Their customer service is poor and I will never, ever buy anything Samsung again. I would also like to add that I told Samsung customer service that we had purchased the fridge, gas range, washer and dryer. So we had been a good customer, purchasing several of their higher end products. They couldn’t care less. I would tell anyone considering Samsung anything to run as fast as they can in the other direction, stay away from Samsung at all costs. They are a company that supplies an inferior product, poor customer service and takes advantage of their customers by selling admittedly defective products, and then charging exorbitant prices for parts to repair them. Please warn people about how horrible this company is and to stay away from their products. We should not have had to pay $850.00 to repair a virtually brand new higher end refrigerator.

I have the bottom freezer, split door fridge model. I bought it solely because the GE Profile I had for over 10 years finally needed replacement (due to some cosmetic damage - no issues involving its functioning) and the Samsung was literally the only model that would fit into the custom space in my kitchen. Within the first months I noticed a lot of water pooling in the bottom below the crisper drawers and then in the crispers themselves. I stopped using them all together and then about a month after the 1 year mark (when the warranty ran out), the left door stopped closing appropriately. In fact, the only way to close it is to manually manipulate the fold and then close the opposite door. I finally got a service appointment, took a day off from work to wait and was told that the part has to be ordered and it will cost me $320!!! What an absolute piece of garbage.

We bought this refrigerator new on 07/24/2011, and on 03/27/2012 while we were at home we heard water running all of a sudden. We went into the kitchen and water was flowing out of the ice maker. We quickly shut off the water to the house and then moved the unit out and turned off the water at the wall. Because we were there and heard this, we prevented $60k to $70k in water damages. Most of our downstairs flooring is wood. The refrigerator was fixed under warranty by a Samsung contracted service organization. Then again on 08/30/2013, the unit failed again. This time I woke up at 5am and heard the faint noise of water running. I immediately went down stairs and stepped into a LAKE. The entire downstairs of our home was flooded and all the flooring, walls up to 16 and cabinets that were built in were ruined. The bill for all this will definitely be well over $50k. NO one should ever buy a Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker. The new unit failed in 8 months and the Samsung repair only lasted 17 months. This is most definitely a product liability case.

I bought my Samsung Stove oven range from HHGregg and bought 5 years warranty with it. Within 1 month of usage (cooking for 2) started noticing the blackish superficial layer peeling off from the glass top. Called HHgregg and was directed to Samsung. Third party repair personnel after inspecting said it is common occurrence and to use razor as suggested to peel of the layer by scrubbing it in a certain way. Before 12 months end I saw the crack on the cook top and a bulge on the glass top. After complaining to customer service it took 30 days with 3 guys from different company and taking pictures of the stove to tell me that it is wear and tear. I need to pay 250$ for cook top and 250$ for the labor to repair it. I cant afford to repair it or replace it as it is the brand new stove which I paid 1200$. Bad customer service. Was told by the electrical company that the engineers at Samsung will see pictures and determine if it was wear and tear. My old cooking range was from whirlpool survived 10 years.
