I spent over $3000. For a Samsung refrigerator which has an ice maker that constantly freezes up. I purchased a service agreement with Best Buy who in turn sends out a Sears service technician. This is an ongoing problem with Samsung refrigerator ice makers and they have no clue as to why this is happening. My ice maker still doesn’t work and the service department claims that the part is back ordered. Do yourself a big favor and do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. I am a licensed refrigeration engineer with the City of New York and I have never dealt with a major corporation that doesn’t care about customer care. By the way the refrigerator is only one year old.

I bought this Refrigerator in May 30, 2014. It started making a loud whirring noise loud enough to be heard in the living room over the TV!! I called Samsung on Sept. 26!! Their customer service sucks as it is Oct.3 and my fridge is still not fixed. Worst Customer service ever!!

Bought this Samsung dishwasher DW80F800UWS only 6 months ago and have had to call 3 times for servicing for various issues. The first was a broken door latch, second was noises from the pump and not cleaning correctly and finally it stopped draining. For the cost of this dishwasher, there are way too many issues. I will say that Samsung does send a tech out promptly but that doesnt alleviate the frustration of having to call them so many times for repairs in such a short time frame. I wouldnt recommend this dishwasher.

The story begins less than four years ago. We purchased an entire suite of Samsung kitchen appliances – range, refrigerator, dishwasher and over the range microwave. Since installation (less than 4 years ago) the range began turning on (by itself), a clearly dangerous situation. We found online that this has happened before with terrible consequences. We replaced this range with a Frigidaire range. So far, no issues. Now the dishwasher is not drying. I went through the manual and completed all recommended options to resolve this issue. I am now shopping for a new dishwasher, as nothing I have done seems to make the dishes dry. The refrigerators ice maker has always been an issue in that it does make ice but very inconsistently. The cubes are malformed and at times, it simply stops only to start again whenever it feels like it. I can say that the microwave has, so far, not given us any issues. I would like to warn anyone considering the purchase of any Samsung kitchen appliances to do your online research. I believe that if I had done so prior to investing thousands of dollars with Samsung appliance, I would have thought better.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!

Our Samsung side-by-side with bottom freezer has stopped working for the second time in two years. The first failure was the freezer fan, repaired under warranty. After second year, same problem - noisy fan and temperature not holding. Same repairman said the motherboards go out, and he cant get a new OEM board from Samsung - they are back ordered until 2015! We bought one from Sears, refurbished, and it doesnt work. Repair company says nothing they can do. My 15-year-old garage fridge is now back in business. It is amazing to me that a world-wide branded company like Samsung would allow this to happen. Here is my response: I wont buy any other Samsung products. I need a new smartphone - Samsung? No way.

We bought this refrigerator for our new home. Literally 7 weeks after we started using it stopping cooling, both fridge and freezer. The repair company Samsung sent us postponed our appt or sometimes didn’t even show up for 10 days. They finally came with a part they thought was the problem and wasn’t able to fix. 3 days later after 6 calls to Samsung and 4 to repair service company nothing is being done or ordered bc the repair person didn’t do a report after the service call and the so called company Lakes Electronics In Pompano Beach, FL is not available to answer anytime. Samsung is saying there’s nothing they can do?! Worst service ever. Never thought that our expensive refrigerator would not last even 2 months.

I need a freezer department handles for RF263AFRS Fridge manufactured NOV 2010, handles have grey plastic parts that go inside the fridge and hold handle by screws. Handle is not broken, it just cannot hold to the fridge anymore because of the broken parts on both ends. I spent 3 months looking for these parts. Called Samsung and the phone #s given by them, no one has these grey plastic parts. Wrote Samsung customer care email asking for help. They got back to me with template saying I should call their customer service (I know the phone # by heart already!). Its been a few months now the fridge is broken. I have difficulty accessing the freezer because of it. The part I am looking for the freezer handle is actually a part of the whole freezer door and to make things a little worse, that freezer door is no longer available. Same fridge broke on month 13th, after 12 month warranty. It was making ice on the back of the fridge. Part was $170 and $150 was the labor. I am very dissatisfied with the product. It was expensive fridge and I was hoping to be able to use it for a while. Now, people from Samsung, how to find these broken parts. Please help!

I’ve never had an electric stove always a gas at my other homes. This is a piece of crap. Samsung’s products are horrible and I will never buy again. Our 1900$ Samsung 26 cu ft refrigerator was delivered 9/10/2011. It quit working 8/30/2016. We never had problems with the ice maker, although it was slow even for two adults needs of ice. I decided no use to fix it, just go get another refrigerator. If you read reviews on any brand about four hundred people always say what they bought was the worst experience possible. Even the sales guy said refrigerators rarely last more than eight years nowadays. So my advice is spend what you are willing to replace in five years. Thats how long my Samsung lasted.

2 year old refrigerator started making noise last October. We unplugged it for a couple days and read that the fan motor freezes up. So we thawed the fridge & sound went away and temp seemed fine. Then the last couple months food began expiring before expiration dates. Milk was curdled, dog treats moldy - were the obvious signs. Reading this website I knew that it was frozen motor. So I followed you tube instructions of how to remove back panel and got my hair dryer out and melted the 3 x 4 of ice block that totally encased my fan motor, coils and wiring. My question is, how is Samsung going to remedy this from happening again? How can this be acceptable? We should all be getting free service replacement parts from Samsung! I will never buy a Samsung anything and advise everyone to do the same! !

RF267ABRS - My experience leads me to believe that Samsung refrigerators are junk. They look nice but after a few years, you will have problems. It started with the lower part of the refrigerator filling with water that iced up and leaked onto the hardwoods. I kept having to get ice and water out of the fridge, then it stopped (for now). Next, my ice maker chamber stopped cooling. Theres nothing online about how to fix this (that I could find). I called Samsung but if the fridge is not under 1 year old then they tell me they can set me up with maintenance but I have to pay for it. I had to buy a new washer and dryer and decided it was time to stop giving loyalty to a company that in my opinion, makes things to break. Stick with Samsung TVs, skip the appliance.

The worst customer service experience I have ever been apart of. I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher MODEL NUMBER DW80J3020UB/AA, from Conns on October 13th, 2015. It was delivered a few day later, the box from the outside looked fine, no damage to report, all is good. Two weeks later when my contractor had the dishwasher installed it leaked water from the front of the unit. After further examination damage was located inside the dishwasher that was creating the leaking issue. I called Conns to report the damage and was notified by the manager that it was a Samsung issue due to it being after 30 days from purchase and they gave me an 800 number to call. So called Samsung to report the damage, they listened to what I had to say and told me that a service technician would need to come and look at and/or possibly repair the dishwasher. Fine, a tech came to the house, looked, took pictures, called and reported back to Samsung while I was listening and this is what he reported. There is damage to the inside of the dishwasher that cant be repaired, the customer could not have seen this damage from the shipping container and that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. All was good until a few days later I hadnt heard back from Samsung so I called to ask for an update and possibly get the ra number required to replace my dishwasher. I was notified that the service technician reported back to them the damage was cosmetic and therefore the damage would not be covered under the manufactures warranty. I replied to the lady that the technician had reported something completely different to myself and to them while I was listening. She said that another service company would have to be sent out to resolve the issue. Thats what happened, another company came out and looked at the dishwasher and reported to them that the dishwasher was damaged, could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. The customer could not have seen the damage from the shipping container so therefore needed to be replaced. Waiting, waiting, nothing from Samsung, so I called them again for an update and this is what I was told! The damage to your dishwasher IS NOT covered and will not be replaced due to the technicians report that visited our home. I paid $500.00 plus for a brand new dishwasher that was delivered, unusable and will NOT be replaced. I am not rich, $500.00 dollars is a lot of money that normal people cant just throw away but I guess that is what Conns and Samsung expect. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

We bought the Samsung french door with lower pull out door freezer. We had trouble from the beginning getting it to maintain the correct temperature in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. We purchased the appliance through Home Depot and they sent the approved tech who replaced the digital sensors and panels. Still, the refrigerator did not get down to nor maintain the required temp.We had the repairman out again; they replace more items. We removed the ice maker altogether and no difference ensued. My husband went back to Home Depot yesterday asking that they replace this fairly expensive appliance and we were told that since the warranty had run out that they would not be replacing it. What does this mean? If we had not bought the warranty and just had them out over and over would it have forced a replacement? These digital display and sensor units are just not engineered well! We will not ever buy another and are thinking of looking for older refrigerators at vintage repair places. Apparently the idea is to get us used to expecting **, buying warranties and subsidizing the industry! !

This refrigerator was the most expensive in the store, but I thought it would be the best and it is the absolute worst. For $3,500, you would think you would not have to defrost the area of the ice maker. It works like the cheapest brand in the store. It doesnt give you ice cubes, just pieces of ice that go flying everywhere. Ice gets built up and clogs the ice maker and you have to take an ice pick to remove it or it wont make any ice. I bought the Samsung electric range model NE59J7630SG in July 2017 from Home Depot when they had the huge sale with refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Before, I have been using a different brand electric range for years with no problem. After about 2 months later, I started to see white scratches in the middle of burner. It looked like some liquid residue right underneath the glass top, which I could not get rid of with cleaning. After 3.5 months later, one night, my mom used it before she went to bed, slept, and when we came out the next morning, we saw round shaped broken glasses on the cooktop which soon gave a big long crack across the burner. I called customer service asking for replacement (had 1yr warranty). They sent me a tech to diagnose, then they said they could not replace it because its a physical damage.I requested second opinion, they sent another tech who said he would request for the replacement, didnt hear anything back for 2 weeks. I called the tech and found out Samsung denied it since its a physical damage. The tech said it would cost me $500 just to replace the top after I just spent $750 buying a new one. I have been fighting with Samsung for 2 months now, spoke with 4-5 different managers. Three of them gave me an approval to get it fixed at their cost, but nothing gets done. Every time I call them, I get a different rep at a different location, they cannot connect me to the person I spoke to before. You give them the ticket# with the approval, but doesnt matter. They dont care what the previous manager promised you, you will have to start from the beginning all over again. They are saying its their policy that physical damage is not covered by the warranty, I did something wrong with the range, doesnt admit that its their product defect. I googled to see if people had the same problem as I did, I found people with the same problem!!! Even I found one on this website, this lady her pictures on here and it looked exactly the same as mine and she said one day she heard a loud bang in her kitchen and the crack on her cooktop!! Do not waste your money on Samsung product. Their product is horrible and when there is a problem, good luck with it.

I bought a Samsung fridge, three times I have had Telefix technicians out to look at fridge as it on 3 times it has had water under the crisper. First time the back panel gets changed. Leaks again so 2nd time gets same procedure not to mention puts a slight crack on panel, leaks again. 3rd time technician? Blame the 2nd one for his workmanship. And reckons nothing wrong? Yet water? Told him not happy he puts in a report saying nothing wrong? Goes to apparently case manager Samsung. Telling me they cant do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? I don’t think so.And how many times do I have to them out because of their fault in appliance, which was also stated by the technician that the new model fridges has the exact problem as my fridge does... I have 20 year old LG fridge and never had one problem. If I wanted a fridge that leaks water I would buy one. So why are Samsung making fridges with the same problem and selling them? Rectify the problem. And you will have happy customers. Still want to know so what are they going to do about my fridge… Angry customer.

DW80F600UTS - We purchased a new dishwasher in August of 2014 but it was not installed until the house was completed in January of 2015. Not only does this dishwasher take over two hours to cycle through, it has NEVER cleaned the dishes. We basically have to wash the dishes before we use it and then use it on the heavy and sanitize cycles. It has become a very expensive dish-drying rack! We have contacted Samsung numerous times and have had a technician here twice. They can find nothing wrong with the machine. According to Samsung it is working within specifications. Apparently dishes with baked on food is acceptable to Samsung. Like so many reviewers, we had the same problem with the twin cooling system. We bought the refrigerator from Lowes in October of 2009 on sale. Up until this problem, we were very happy with the refrigerator. Several months ago, the fridge started to make a lot of noise. What the...? Then, I noticed that our milk went bad, before the expiration date. So, my husband used an instant thermometer (therma pen) and our milk was at 58 degrees. Samsung tech support tried to troubleshoot, and blamed our thermometer as the problem! Really? My husband did a lot of internet research, and discovered a video on YouTube on how to fix the problem. Apparently, theres a problem with the coil in the twin cooling area that heats up any ice build-up (Im not mechanic/engineer, so Im explaining as simplified as I can). We emptied the refrigerator and he opened up the twin cooler. There was so much ice build up inside and the motor was frozen solid! No wonder it quit cooling! This is not covered under warranty (ours had expired anyway, though we bought an extended warranty). Using a blow dryer, he patiently thawed out the area and the tube and inserted a copper wire (that the YouTube video said would fix the problem). When he put all the parts back in, the motor started up again! Lets just hope this fix is what the YouTuber swears works. I sure hope so, or were going to have bought another refrigerator. Im happy with our Samsung laptops and TVs, but never again would I buy a Samsung refrigerator! Ill try and update if this is a permanent fix, but its worth a try.

Samsung FER300SX. Great price, features & beautiful appearance. I had always respected all their other products. Its really nice to look at and that is the only good thing I have to say about it. It is very poorly designed with light and cheap wiring. They have come to repair it four times in 18 months. It will not maintain oven temperature and burns/melts the wiring at both elements. I could hear it sizzling in the back. Fearing a house fire, I bought and installed my own high temperature, 3M, 900 degree wire connectors at both upper and lower elements. This finally eliminated my fire hazard risk. But everything I cook, I have to baby-sit; whether its in the oven or the stove top. I had to buy two oven thermometers to hang from the upper rack to keep the temperature at least close, manually, when doing pizza or meats. But any bread products or pastry type of baking, forget it! You cant manually control the temp that well for touchy baked good items like that. They cant fix it. All the circuit boards have been replaced with no success. At least I made sure myself, that it shouldnt burn the house down now.In my opinion, Samsung should not be in the home appliance business. These products are of poor quality and cheaply constructed. Until now, for decades, I had always been highly respectful of their home entertainment line. Low quality and unsafe [fire hazard]. I have already bought and paid for it so there is no longer any deal to break. Go shopping for another brand and research every model you are considering, tenaciously! Read all reviews, good AND bad and leave no stone unturned.

I was heart-sick when I read all the horrible reviews for the Samsung refrigerators. I have only had model RS265TDRS for 6 months and it quit cooling 2 days ago. Tried the OnLineChat and was sent by the agent to a Samsung link that extolled how you should NEVER put a thermometer in the refrigerator to see what temp it is. I couldnt believe it. Then I put in a work ticket... and heard NOTHING. As I purchased the extended warranty through Conns the appliance store, they do warranty service as well, and when I heard nothing from Samsung.. I called them. They came out within 48 hours and told me the problem was the plastic cover over the coils, and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get the part. I nearly died. I explained this is my only refrigerator and they didnt seem to care. I agreed and after we plugged up the open spaces around the coils with small strips of quilt batting he left. The cooling element does seem to be working... as the vegetable drawers are 42 degrees... but up on the top shelf it is 60 degrees. How do I know??? I left the horrible thermometer they wanted me to immediately take out... in the unit. Now.... the door is telling me that the refrigerator is 34 degrees... but it is not. I FINALLY got the local service company contact information from them... however... the online chat lady said I had to file a work report with them first and then I could call the repair company directly and give them the work order. So! Lets start a lawsuit.... This is insane... to that poor couple who had been using a cooler for over 30 days... I went online and purchased a small GE fridge that I will keep in the garage... or get one sized for a dorm room... to keep your meds in... I am ready to fight them on this one...

I purchased my range 4 yrs ago. I love my Samsung TVs so, I thought the range would be great. No way!!!! I love to cook and consider myself a pretty tasty chef. This range has made good cooking a challenge. The heating units on this range turn bright red even on Low. This poor control means you cannot simmer a pot on low because it will burn!!! How disappointing!! I would never recommend a Samsung range. What a waste of $$. BAMTiverton RI

This the 4th microwave I have had since 10/08. The first 2 were GE and needed repairs in less than a year. The Samsung I purchased for the 3rd oven lasted a number of years and I recently purchased another Samsung which was identical to the discontinued model, except it was no longer 1100 watts and some of the buttons had been moved. This oven is a good size and I like it. Although this is a very good oven, I really wanted one that was 1100 watts. It seems they no longer make wall ovens with wattage higher than a 1000 watts.

4 months ago my 14 month old Samsung electric stove went up in flames after setting the self cleaning oven on, went outside to let the dog out. I heard the fire alarm going off and smoke was coming out the windows. The fire started in the back of the computer it burned the microwave which was also a Samsung. I called Samsung and they sent a tech out a few days later. The tech said it was the computer. The Fire Marshall also agreed that the fire came from within the control panel. I called Samsung and they said they would take care of everything. We had estimates and sent pics, etc. They said they would pay for the cost of repairs to my home (est. $22,000.00). Samsung said we would have to send it to our insurance company, aka Samsung marine & fire. They were going to cut a check 2 months later. They continued to keep giving me the run around; stating oh we sent the stove Korea for inspection first. Guess what? Samsung said its my fault because we put something on the stove. But we are all liars but the folk in Korea, the fire marshall, the Samsung tech and the pics?? Im not done with Samsung yet. Im not a quitter!!!

I bought this Samsung RS277ACPN side by side fridge in 2009 at Lowes. A year after the purchase (just couple of months after the warranty expired), the ice maker didnt work, it cost me around $250 to fix the problem. Lately, 30 months after the purchase, the fridge fan motor does not work. The Carter service couldnt repair it due to the evap fan motor part Samsung listed for this model does not fit my fridge when the part arrives. The service man had dealt with Samsung two times for the reorder of the part, and the part still does not fit. So, evap fan motor part no. DA31-00146E is supposed to be the right part, but the actual thing does not match the original motor fan in my fridge. A month went by and my fridge is making a lawn mower noise off and on. The ice is piled up at the bottom of the vegetable drawer. My fridge is not repairable because Samsung does not have the correct part and no one bothers to correct it. No more Samsung appliance next time.

I purchased my refrigerator on the 16-7-13 model SR690GDLS, 7 months later there was a bubble in the door underneath the water dispenser. The whole door was replaced on the 1-4-17 and the top drip tray part that was faulty in its design as it had holes in it so the water would drip into the bottom tray. This was replaced with one that did not have any holes in it so the water could not go in to the bottom tray. I was told that this would fix the problem. Then after 3 months the plastic around the glass started to crack. I had them replaced on the 4-8-14. Samsung rang me a few days later and said they were extremely sorry for all the trouble and sent me two movie tickets. Two weeks later I notice another bubble on the new door. I rang Samsung again, they sent another door out and another top drip tray with no holes and replaced them on the 9-9-14 only 5 months since the last door was fitted. I suggested to the repairman that the underneath tray may be the faulty one as it was not replaced last time and that the same thing has happened again and that may be the problem and could he please replace that part also. He said that I would have to ring Samsung and order it so I rang Samsung while he was finishing off and they asked to speak to him. He told them that it wasnt faulty and that he replaced what was sent. I then explained the situation again to Samsung and said that that was his opinion. But my opinion is that it must be faulty as it is the only part that has not been replaced and I have had the same problem and do not want it to happen again. She said she would order the part and call me back. 30mins later she called and said they did not think that the part is faulty and that if I ask them to send it out, I have to pay for it. As you can see I am not happy with this situation and the problem is not fixed as I do not have a guarantee that it will not happen again.

A few years ago, I bought a Samsung oven/range/stove. Today, I pressed the self-clean button. The oven status display started beeping and displayed an error code E-0E and flashed an icon of a padlock. I researched trouble shooting, tried to reset, powered cycled, etc. Nothing worked. The oven no longer works - it only flashes the display - E-0E and there is no way to stop it. I called Samsung and after getting a magnifying glass and super bright light to read the M/C number and serial number ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN, the lady told me the unit was out of warranty (big surprise). She then told me that for about $300.00 (about 40% of the price of the oven), I could buy a warranty and it would cover the repair. I said no - so they transferred me to a service number where they informed me it would cost about $225.00 for a service call to diagnose the problem. I asked them why the oven was equipped with a self-destruct button - and how it is possible that an oven could die after barely 2 years of light use. No answer.

This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.

Go on YouTube and you will find a multitude of complaints about the ice maker of this model. Samsung gave us a run around on leveling the refrigerator. I have leveled it from every conceivable spot, adjusted the front so the wheels are off the ground per their instructions and I now have to manually defrost the ice maker every 7-10 days. It used to be every 3 weeks but has deteriorated. I defrosted it November 1st 2019 and had to defrost it again today November 10th 2019. From the number of complaints there should be a general recall of this poorly designed and engineered product.

All the other appliances I love EXCEPT the dishwasher.... it is awful. It does not get the dishes clean. I cannot fit my 11-inch plates in it... the bowls, forget about it. The top rack, please do not get me started. It uses all the Jet Dry in one wash. I cant get the racks to adjust... which they are supposed to do. What a waste of nearly $900. Samsung has absolutely no customer service when theres a problem(s). Was no help on phone, had an online chat (India, of course) who was flipping through his instructions for code PE and I was told it was a half-load error, whatever and whoever does a half load? I can ditto everything in here, one code after another. Repairman (local) here 2x, replaced main board that didnt work. Did the cleanout cycle a few weeks back and was running well but now code 9E. Looked it upon net, tried the soap thing, NG. Tried banging on left side and running this time, but for how long? If I have to pull it out like another suggestion it WILL NOT GO BACK IN. BTW, the Samsung authorized dealer is 3 hours away! They sent one about 6 months after I got it for rust appearing on the outside of the door and he said rust was not under warranty. This is a stainless steel, inside and out, and theres rust? I agree, NO MORE SAMSUNG! I hope the microwave holds out longer.

Model #: RF261BEAEBC/AA (French Door, Freezer on Bottom, NO ice or water dispensers in the door). I have had to call Samsung services and repair four (4) times for my Samsung Refrigerator in the first thirteen (13) months of operation. Every call has been about the ice maker. I escalated this recurring issue to the executive review board (or whatever they call it) stating that I must have a defective refrigerator (or least a defective ice maker). I said they need to address this issue by replacing the whole refrigerator or issue a recall of some parts or something because this is just not acceptable. The response I got back from Samsung is that this is not cause for any special consideration and that normal repair and service should continue. Their response is what really bothers me. I mean I fully understand that if you make thousands of appliances (or cars or whatever), there will be a couple that will be defective. I have no problem with that - just own up to it and resolve the issue for good. I also understand that no matter how much you test sometimes things can be missed. I have had cars recalled for certain issues, you take your car to the dealer, they resolve the issue (no cost to you) and all is good. I mean it is very weird for them to think that four (4) service requests in first thirteen (13) months of operation is not cause for alarm or at least a closer inspection.I actually talked to the last repairman that came out to fix the problem. He said that he sees a lot of repairs on certain models of Samsung Refrigerators that was/is related to frozen water line for the ice makers. So much so that Samsung did a recall and replaced the heating element (or whatever) to keep ice from forming in water line to the ice maker. He said it was a different model than mine and hence no recall for my specific model number.I suspect that this is the issue for me as well, as water is not making it to the ice tray. I could be wrong though and freely admit something else could be the issue. With this type of customer service, it will make me seriously consider any Samsung products in the future. I am not upset so much with an appliance that has issues. Hey, I dont like it and wish otherwise, but the stick-my-head-in-the-sand-and-hope-this-goes-away attitude from Samsung is really bothersome.

I called Samsung and they said they have not had any problems like this and told me I only had a year warranty because I did not purchase an extended warranty. I told them Ive learned in the past that if you buy a good product, you dont need to waste money on extended warranty. I was given the name of a repair service company that can repair Samsung. He came out and said it had to be one of two parts. He ordered both parts, came back in 10 days to replace one or the other and we told him go ahead and replace both so we dont have to play a guessing game which one it was. Well, a week later, it started back up again. This time, louder and harder. I just called the repair company and left a message for them on their recorder with the fridge making the noise for them to hear. I took out the water filter so we can get some sleep. Ive had a Samsung range for 4 months and am extremely disappointed with it. The black glass top is amazingly cheap for such an expensive range. It is impossible to keep clean and scratches very easily. I had my old GE range for 10 years and it still looked like new when I replaced it with this Samsung. In just 4 months, this range looks old and worn. Every pot scratches the surface. I only use the pad and cleaner supplied with the range and even that scratches the surfaces. Plus, any spillovers go down into the vents and streak the oven door glass. I contacted Samsung and they sent out a technician who took pictures and said Samsung would call me. Its been 3 weeks and no call.

Stainless side-by-side refrigerator model RS263TDRS - I purchased this refrigerator in April 2012, and it was delivered in late May. In January 2013, I noticed rust spots on the door that dispenses the ice and water. A service call to Sears resulted in them sending a third party contractor to determine the cause but to no resolve. Sears did contact another contractor who also could not settle the issue, but they did contact Samsung. A representative from Samsung did arrive a few weeks later to take a picture with a cell phone for Samsung to see my concerns. A week later, after no contact from Samsung, I made a phone call to learn that Samsung considers rust a cosmetic issue and will not do anything about replacing the door! I say it has nothing to do with cosmetics and everything to do with poor quality steel! Why even bother to purchase stainless steel? Samsung is very poor with rectifying customer concerns. This will be the very last product that I will buy from them.

We ordered a new Samsung dishwasher from AJ Madison. We ordered it, received it on 11/28/12. My husband installed it that night. The next evening, I loaded it, ran it and opened it. Soap was never released. I ran it again, and it was the same thing. The little door never popped open to release soap. I called the next morning. The girl from Samsung didnt really know why but theres a sensor & if its blocked, maybe it would not be released (she couldnt tell me where sensor was located). Now, its Sunday, 12/2/12. I ran it again, making sure there was nothing too tall or blocking - same thing. I called & a service call must be set up. This lady said the other person lied - there is no sensor, only for water level. She gave me the name of the service company & number. They would call the next day. The guy left his name & number. I tried several times to call him & the service company (the phone rings continuously & I cant leave voice mail). I called Samsung again - a lengthy call. It turns out its not that company. Its a different one. Dont you think I should be told this? They have my number, & I was told I should call them to set it up. We set up for Saturday. AJ Madison called & said they dont have a repair company that works on Saturdays & I had one for Monday. No one told me about that. Monday was not good for me. We called Samsung up . Well, we had to argue, of course, but some nice guy came on Saturday, 12/8/12, and said, The part is broken; it needs to be ordered & replaced (he doesnt have it in truck). When the part comes in, someone will come back & replace it. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model, clearance center, or scratch & dent. Many, many, many phone calls to both Samsung (who is giving us the runaround) and AJ Madison (who is giving us the runaround) have left us with a broken new Samsung dishwasher which has only been used 3x and is broken from the start. I ordered this & think I should have some right to getting one that works the first time correctly (not broken). Im still washing by hand. Furthermore, we have offered AJ Madison to take it back & we are willing to spend more money w/ them & get something else (my husband is even willing to bring it to them). They will not do that if it can be repaired again. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model or scratch & dent. We are extremely dissatisfied w/ both companies. I should have some right to get a properly working appliance for my money. We have been greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy with 4 & 1/2 ft water in our home. Now we have to argue & call daily for something that was defective. Give us a break.

Ive had my French door model for 2 years and I have to defrost it about every 2 months. I love the way I can pack a lot of food in it, but I dont have time to fool with this. Usually after 6-8 weeks I hear the noise and here I go getting out my ice chests. This last time was worse and the whole back panel of the refrigerator got frozen. It had dripped down into my lunch meat for a couple of weeks before I realized where the water was coming from. It ran OK for a week and then the noise came again. Now, the temperature is 58, and it says the freezer is -2, but it all my frozen boxes are wilted, and no ice. Its been the worst appliance by far that Ive had as far as problems that are too expensive to get fixed, and time consuming for me.

Refrigerator started icing up in the back just after the first year was up. Got Samsung to pay for the parts but we had to pay for the service call. Now another year and a half later the same thing is happening and the service rep told us they have a fix for the first fix. We have to wait an entire week to get our refrigerator back to working order. The parts need to be ordered and it has to thaw out to get the back panel off. Called Samsung again and this time the manager of the woman I talked to said they will not cover the parts because the warranty had run out. I have a Maytag refrigerator that we use for beverages that has run for 24 years with no problems and dont know what I would do without it. No more Samsung for us. The Samsung replaced a GE refrigerator we had for 24 years with no problems.

I paid almost $ 3,000 for a stainless steel refrigerator for my beautiful new kitchen to then have the ice maker never to work properly since the day I purchased it. It’s the 2015 Samsung four door refrigerator. We have done everything to make it work for us. Finally this month we bought another refrigerator, obviously a different name brand. I called Samsung and informed them of what we had to do and would they at least give us some of our money back and we would buy another Samsung, updated of course. No go! Offered us nothing! Bad business Samsung!

Unless someone chose to make it right, which they wont, I would never buy a refrigerator ever again from Samsung. Absolutely, hands down, the worse decision I made. Spent nearly $2,000 and I would have been better off keeping my 20 year old Kenmore that ran very well but was outdated. Ive always used Samsung products, from TVs to phone, however this item rusted within a year (no, no harsh chemicals were ever used and water was quickly dried off). Fan motor went in 2 years. Fan motor was under warranty so no problem, however rusted doors were never covered as they were cosmetic. Samsungs products are purchased precisely for that reason - theyre beautiful. But trust me, they are garbage. Samsung didnt want to make it right - so no more TVs... I am an iPhone guy now... never again until they make it right.

I have a Samsung French Door refrigerator in white and just started noticing what at first looked like food or grime on the front left door at the bottom of the ice maker where it fits into the door. I started cleaning it and couldnt believe it - it was RUST! I have never seen rust on a new refrigerator. I purchased it in Jan 2013 from Pacific Sales. The ice maker drips constantly and the fridge makes a loud buzzing noise sometimes. I wanted to see if anyone else was having this same trouble before I call Samsung, and I can see that a lot of customers have the exact same problems as me. Im not sure what to do at this point because I know its out of warranty now. Another possibly dangerous situation - now that the paint is coming off where the rust is, Ive already shocked myself touching where the bare metal is. I wonder, could I (or my kids) get electrocuted if theres a drop of water on the metal when we touch it? Hummmmmm???

My French door refrigerator started forming ice about 18 months after purchase. Warranty is only a year, which is ridiculous when you pay that much for a appliance. I checked online for anyone else experiencing the problem. Most problems were with water under the crisper drawers which I hadnt experienced. I called Samsung and the first words the service desk said were, We havent experienced that problem before, which I knew was bogus because every person that called them said they said the same thing. Anyway after over 2 years of emptying my freezer and getting the ice out, I finally bit the bullet and called a repairman. I wish Id done it right away.He took the bottom panel off the back, took out the two drain pipes for the automatic defrost, about 7each with a rubber, flat nipple on each one. He shows me the small slit across the end of the nipple that the water drains thru and explains that if that slit gets clogged the water backs up and freezes in the bottom. It also could cause water to be leaked under the drawers in the cooling part of fridge. All he did was cut about -1/8 off of the flat ends and put them back on the pipes and reinstall them. They must just slide on because he didnt have any tools but the screwdriver to remove the panel and a snipper to cut the rubber nipple. You can use scissors for that. I could have done this myself had I known what to do. Thats why Im writing this. Also he said to be sure to turn fridge off for 48 hours to make sure all the ice has defrosted. Thats a pain, but weve been removing the ice for 2 years every 3-4 weeks. If this works, its worth the 48 hours without a fridge. If this works, you wont hear from me, if not, Ill let you know. It was a $79 service call. Its a bad design and hopefully Samsung has changed it. My fridge is almost 4 years old. I love everything else about it.

Have had my $3000 Samsung Refrig for just over 5 years. Similar results as everyone else here... the fridge began acting up approx. 6 mos. ago... since then have had 6 service calls to fix. Seems after replacing the ENTIRE back inside panel for $200, fridge is working, but now freezer is not. Cannot even begin to explain how FRUSTRATING AND EXACERBATING this experience has been. Made numerous calls and emails to Samsung, even got bounced up to their VIP Customer Service (for those of us who have had POOR service issues) and they do NOTHING!!! Since is out of warranty, were on our own! I own many Samsung products including washer/dryer, cell phones, TVs, and now will begin buying other brands as I get rid of every Samsung product in my home. There are OBVIOUSLY design defects/flaws in their refrigerator designs (as the serviceman told me also!) and they know it. They keep coming out with these fixes for things... of course, which are NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. So we have to continue to pay for these. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED WITH SAMSUNG IN GENERAL. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GET WHAT IS COMING TO THEM. I DONT EVEN WISH TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR... THEYRE NOT WORTH IT!!

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator Model # RFG293HARS after my home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. After 4 months, I noticed 2 small rows of rust on the freezer door. The rows run vertically and are parallel to each other. They seemed to have been caused when the steel was being rolled or somewhere in the manufacturing process. The spots have started to show signs of rust also. When I contacted Samsung (it took many attempts to get a ticket #), I was told it is a cosmetic problem and not covered. I explained that it was something in the manufacturing process and they could care less. They offered to send a tech out and charge me for the tech. I refused. Purchased this top of the line double oven stove from Lowes South location in June, 2017. On February 21st dropped a glass cover from a casserole. A short height (3) from the stove top resulting in the glass top shattering. The stove was still under complete warranty and nowhere did it indicate in the manual that glass tops were excluded in the warranty. Phoned Samsung and followed their instructions as to taking photos of the damage and when speaking with them we got the impression that everything would be repaired. As soon as Samsung received the photos they responded very quickly that it was excluded under the warranty. Nowhere on the warranty was there such a disclaimer. We will never buy another Samsung product again. We would not recommended this company as they do not stand behind their warranty.

I am following up on my last post on this appliance. I was promised a callback yesterday in regards to my freezer not working in my 7-month-old Samsung (4-door). I called today and was told by Alicia at Samsungs executive customer relations line that they will not honor my request for reimbursement for the food I lost. She said because the freezer started freezing again, there is nothing wrong with it and it doesnt need a service call. She said that if they sent someone to service it, they would have reimbursed me for the food. I told her to send someone as appliances are not self-healing and there has to be a problem for this to happen in the first place and I am afraid to put anything else in the freezer. She told me I must have pushed a button, such as the child lock button for this to have happened. I have never touched this panel. It is exactly as it was when it was installed. I also wonder why if the child lock button had been pushed, would all the food thaw out? She said they could do nothing for me. No service call, no reimbursement.

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher on 10/30/15. It began failing and showing error codes three weeks after its one year warranty expired. Samsung sent techs out three times, twice with no charge and never fixed the fundamental problem; the machine stopped cleaning dishes. Samsung made exceptions and we did not pay a cent for the service visits, but it was utterly impossible to get the company to simply replace the washer as it was just not functioning any longer. Short fused customer service at best and obviously a product line that is inferior. A class action lawsuit ought to be initiated against the company for anyone who bought a dishwasher that has failed in the past 5 years. An abhorrent experience with a dishwasher that was less than 14 months old.

I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.

Well, here are my 2 cents worth - we also had our almost 2-year-old Samsung microwave SMH9187B start turning on by itself (baked potato feature). This has got to be a safety issue! Then, more and more, we got the SE showing up on the display. My husband managed to fix it a few times by taking the control panel apart and trying to protect it from what he figured was happening - oxidization of contacts whenever steam from the oven/ stove below got into it or maybe even if it got quite steamy inside the microwave. Now its definitely dead, though, and when he spent an hour on the phone to Samsung, they acted as if it was a problem theyd never heard of before and refused to do anything about it. I cant believe theyd ignore so many people with the same defective microwave.

Samsung refuses to honor warranty. 4 door refrigerator RF23J9011SG/AA. [ New ] As a loyal user of Samsung products from 3 tvs, 3 phones, and 2 refrigerators I expected when I purchased my beautiful 4 door refrigerator that I would enjoy the same top quality that I have always had with Samsung products. After less than two years of service, my 4 door refrigerator, that cost over $3,000 has developed an issue. The bottom (Freezer section) is working fine but the top (fridge) section is now hot. Since the warranty on the compressor and associated parts is 5 years I thought that, although anything can have an issue, Samsung would honor the warranty to repair the unit. They did agree to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator so I was pleased that they would honor their warranty. The interesting part is that the technician only removed the inside panel at the back of the fridge to inspect the coil and fan area. The only test that he did was to unplug a temp sensor and plug one in that he brought to see if the compressor would kick on, which it did not. He also took some pictures of the inside of the fridge and sent them in, he said, to a Samsung technician who, in turn from some unknown location determined that the problem is Environmental because of a small section of copper tubing at the top of the coil has some green corrosion on it (Not the Coil itself). I was confused because this is what copper does when exposed to moisture (inside the fridge) and air. The technician told me that he was not sure but that is what Samsung said. He then removed the panels covering the electronics on the back of the fridge, tested absolutely nothing other than seeing if the LED lights were on and then told me there was nothing that he could do because it is from an environmental problem. The problem with this theory is, #1 copper turns green when exposed to air and moisture, very common and expected. Secondly, if it were an environmental issue then the copper lines on the back of the unit leading to the compressors (there are 2, one for freezer, one for fridge) would be corroded since they are ACTUALLY exposed to the Environment and off course, they are not corroded but look absolutely new. Fast forward today, one week later, and I paid Mr. Appliance to come out and actually diagnose the fridge issue. The problem is that there is an issue with the compressor. And, as I expected, they told me that the idea of environmental issues causing this is absolutely ridiculous. They did, however kindly offer me an estimate of almost $1,000 to repair it. Very disappointed with Samsungs handling of this situation, by the attitude of the tech they sent out, it almost seems as though they intended to find any reason possible not to honor their own warranty.

We purchased a Samsung bundle from Home Depot a couple of summers ago. The black stainless finish is peeling off already but even worse, the stove continues to short out when we clean it. The motherboard has been replaced once but it seems as if we are losing another one now. After wiping the top with a soft washcloth with mild soapy water, its throwing the breaker again. Im pretty careful when I clean it and have never had this issue with a stove before. Im so disappointed. My husband and I saved for a long time to be able to replace our old appliances but Id take them back if I could. Things are just not built to last anymore and no company seems to care enough to make decent products. I cant believe our government doesnt hold these companies to a higher standard. We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said its an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed. Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and its warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm its broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance of any kind.

All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.

I purchased of course the expensive model DMR Samsung dishwasher. Within months, this thing was not working properly so of course my husband tried to fix it himself by cleaning it out really good, thinking the kids had just got food stuck at the bottom or something. No, not at all. This dishwasher just didnt work. Well, I call Lowes well to my surprise since I had purchased the item 07/2008 but the item was not picked up from the store until 11/2008. Since my purchase date was July, my one year warranty was already up by the time I called. I refused to call Samsung and have them come out because when I did inquire I was told it would be 65 bucks just to come out and tell me whats wrong with it. So now 3 years late, still no new dishwasher. I just have a piece of stationary sitting in my house being decoration to go with the rest of my kitchen. Each time the unit has stopped cooling AND freezing and I have lost all the contents, not to mention having to wait a week for the repairman with no refrigerator. I am so frustrated! This time they tell me IF the repairman deems it unfixable they will take it back. Home Depot has been little help as well because I didnt buy the extended warranty. (although the first 3 incidents happened within the first year!!!) I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. I have been a loyal HOME DEPOT customer as well. Thinking a becoming a Lowes girl!!!

Do Not Buy Samsung - products and support are the worst. Bought an expensive 4 door French door refrigerator. Ice formation happens frequently. Ice maker breaks frequently. Samsung refers to local support franchises which are worst. More than 1000 dollars of repair on a 3 year old product. With a spend each year. Samsung should be banned from selling refrigerators in the US.

Our Samsung refrigerator completely stopped working 18 months after purchase. French doors with bottom freezer. No in-door ice or water. Trying to keep it simple to avoid issues. Main warranty is only one year, thanks, but other certain items covered longer. Good luck dealing with Samsung. They will set up service, but it will take two days for the service company to even contact you and then who knows how long to actually schedule appointment, and then both companies they have set up to come to our home - because the first one lied and said I cancelled appointment due to cost -- are the most poorly rated of any kind of company I have ever looked at online.I rely on online reviews, but have never felt so compelled to post until now. I am very disappointed with quality of Samsung and now see that many others are too. I have scheduled a separate service company to come out, after already paying out of pocket for another, and will probably just end up paying them to repair instead of fighting with Samsung about warranty; that is if they even can repair. I will be doing a complete remodel on another house soon and will not buy any Samsung appliance again.

This refrigerator was not worth the money. No space to put much of anything
This refrigerator was not worth the money. No space to put much of anything. The electronics were hacked and I had people talking to me from another country in my kitchen. Not happy with this at all. It keeps wanting you to replace the 50 dollar water filter when you barely used it. Also door shelf already got brittle and pieces broke off where it connects to the door. Do yourself a favor and save your money. This was definitely not worth the money. I hate it.

We purchased 4 Samsung appliances for our kitchen. We are very happy with the stove, microwave and dishwasher. The refrigerator is another matter. The icemaker literally scatters ice all over the kitchen floor. We have been in touch with Samsung numerous times. Twice, they have sent technicians to our home. Both said that the ice dispenser problem is a design flaw. Both have reported their findings to Samsung. One even sent a video. My conversations with Samsungs customer service department always end the same way - the design is within our specifications. Dont buy Samsung. Their customer service is terrible.
