I should have done my homework before installed this almost 60 LB waste of space over our stove. Shortly a year after owning it, it began beeping in the night. What we then found was the dreaded SE code had begun -- one only needs to Google it to learn all they need. Thankfully, there are actually YouTube videos showing how other consumers had to save their microwaves from this product failure...so we did it as well, and it worked...for about two months. And then the microwave stopped working entirely. What a waste of several hundred dollars! Shameful they just didnt stand by their products and recall and correct the issue.DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!

Once again I just used a hair dryer to thaw out the ice maker on our Samsung RF22KREDBSR/AAQ manufactured APR 2016. Just got through using a hair dryer to defrost the ice maker again, every 4-6 weeks. Seems to be a common problem with no solution from the blogs. Really got nowhere with Samsung, just a scripted response. It appears that this is still a major issue with their re-design, maybe this design should be included in a class action lawsuit. I will not be looking at any Samsung product in the future. It is also getting more difficult to get the ice bucket back in.

The Samsung French door refrigerator is about five years old. After about three years of service, the light in the freezer stopped working. The repair was postponed until now and after two visits, the service provider identified a broken wire in the center drawer that supplies power to the LED light for the freezer. To replace the wire, and entire drawer slide assembly had to be ordered and installed to correct an obvious design deficiency of a broken wire that is obviously not designed to survive the repetitive motion of the drawer being opened under normal usage. $339 for a non-warranty repair.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

The ice maker in this fridge stopped working shortly after warranty. We have had the ice maker replaced and attempted to have it repaired multiple times, but its clearly a design flaw as none of those efforts have permanently solved the problem. Its tremendously inconvenient and frustrating to make or buy your own ice when you spend a lot of money on a refrigerator. This is a widespread issue; there is a class action lawsuit vs Samsung for this issue. Would never recommend Samsung.

In November of 2015 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator French door BLK SS unit model number RF263BEAESG. In June of 2017 we started having trouble with the ice maker not working, and frosting up. On June 30th 2017 I contacted Samsung and they put a online service request ticket in for me. They told me I would be notified within 3 business days of when someone could come and repair the refrigerator. On July 10th I received another email from Samsung support and it said that my ticket had been cancelled the email read as follows your repair for service ticket has been cancelled. If you need service please contact us and it gave the phone number 1 800 Samsung. Thank you for your cooperation. Since then I tried to find someone in the local area that could come out and look at and or repair the unit. After several phone calls I was able to find someone that works on Samsung appliances. On July 18th a service tech came to my house and told me I had three issues the ice maker was going bad the fan in the freezer was going bad and at this point it was making a horrendous noise and then the fan in the refrigerator in the back that whole unit needed to be replaced. The total cost for these repairs are going to be about $800. At this point I have a really tough decision to make do I dump an additional $800 into this refrigerator and hope that it lasts, or do I bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. I have responded to the emails from Samsung support I have gotten no further response from them. I do intend to let them know what is wrong with the refrigerator and what it is going to cost to repair it. While I understand it is out of warranty, it is not even 2 years old yet and should not be having these major issues.I will never buy another Samsung Appliance and I would never recommend to anyone that I know to buy one whether they are family friend or Foe. This has been such a disappointing experience for me. I can only hope that some attorney somewhere reads all of these complaints and puts together a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Someone needs to hold them accountable for making a product of such poor quality. People buy for the Samsung name because their Electronics have always been number one in the market. Their total lack of customer support has me wondering if I should even keep my Samsung smartphone. I find it hard to support a company that will not support its customers.

Multiple service calls for icing up, seven in a two month period alone, until the problem was fixed. Then noticed discoloration of the doors appearing like a splashing, bubbling effect all over the front. No amount of polishing would take it away. The last service person to come said its a defect in the workmanship and that when the coating was placed over the stainless, air must have gotten in or the seal wasnt prepared properly and the problem of the unsightly look is coming from in between the coating and the stainless making it impossible to look clear no matter how much you polish the fridge. My extended service contract doesnt cover it from P.C. Richards as they say it is a Samsung workmanship defect from the factory. Samsung says they wont cover it because its past the warranty even though its THEIR manufacturers defect. This fridge cost a lot of money and is only four years old and the facade looks like a mess that no amount of polishing can fix. Samsung says sorry....... I say NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

I had a Frigidaire refrigerator that lasted 20 years. My family said time for a new one so I went to and found a Samsung refrigerator double door with pullout freezer drawers purchased 12/1/15 warranty 1-year. I didnt get extended warranty within 2-months past warranty. Bottom freezer started making loud noises and went out. Of course you call to Philippines so I had them fix it 400.00. So now 14 months later it went out again. I called to see if there was recall or they would discount, nothing. I have to fix it so waited for 2-3 hours for technician. Turned out the Samsung had sent wrong part. So I call asking for a discount for my time, nothing. So stay away from SAMSUNG. Also dont buy appliances from Home Dept. When you drive away they wash their hands of any responsibility.

My experience with our Samsung dishwasher is similar to the other experiences listed here. Dishwasher began having error codes after 14-15 months of normal use. After dealing with it working and not working for a few months we set up a service call through Samsung. A call to Samsung customer service led to nothing and they do not stand behind this product at all. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. You will be disappointed and left with a non-working DW in 13-15 months. No wonder the warranty is only 1 year. Samsung has a great scam going on here, but it will eventually lead to loss of customers in all areas of their business.

I bought a microwave by Samsung on Feb. 28, 2019 the microwave started smelling like burning wires, and would not heat food. I contacted Samsung and was told a technician would come out, technician came out and said he believes it needs to be replaced because a fire had started inside of the microwave. Samsung called them and told them they would not replace it because it was physical damage from grease. The technician that came out wrote in the report it was not grease it was like hard plastic and they would not replace it. My filters are still silver like new so how can you say grease build up within a year! I will never do this again and I have contacted my attorney!!

Two months after buying a brand new side by side Samsung refrigerator, a fan blade broke and the sound was very loud. It took Samsung 10 days to find a technician to come to the house. The gentlemen discovered the defected blade and was quite surprised being that it was only two months old. He suspected a manufacturers defect and he ordered the part, but it would take several days. In the meantime, we had lost the food in the freezer and refrigerator. I then called Samsungs customer service and explained everything as it happened. She was not very sympathetic and said that the part was on its way and thats the best that they could do. It was a major purchase for us and we felt cheated. Will think twice before buying another Samsung appliance!

The refrigerator I bought from Samsung is dysfunctional. Repairs have been a waste of both my time and money. Samsung customer service is nonexistent. Dealing with them is an emotionally draining experience. They refuse to take responsibility for their faulty product. The refrigerator does not keep food cold enough to be safe to eat. The ice maker has been an issue for quite some time leaking water under the crisper draw and onto my hardwood floor. The most recent service technician told me not to eat any food from the fridge. He reported to Samsung from my house and sent them pictures of my damaged floor. He told me to get an estimate to repair my floor which I have sent to Samsung several times. Samsung is ignoring me. I still have a damaged floor and a refrigerator that does not work properly.

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG! I ignored all the bad reviews and now Im writing one. Had our Samsung electric range delivered around 1/15/2016. Cooked dinner the other night and noticed a small chip in the surface of the burner. Called Samsung and the woman said it was not covered by the one year warranty. She claims any chips or cracks in the surface are product damage and whether intentional or unintentional, its not covered. This is a manufacturers defect. Ive been using electric ranges my entire life and never had one crack from normal use. I use this range for 2 months and the surface cracks. No matter how you look at it, this is damage caused by a product defect. Luckily Lowes informed me I can return it. Moving on to another brand and will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

OK, I am a very seasoned mechanic. I put a new bearing set in my pile of crap, front-loader Maytag washer. I can fix anything from a BMW to a microwave. I bought this SAMSUNG at LOWES and right after the warranty, the auto and normal lights blink, it stops mid-cycle and take like six reboots to even get going, and 80 percent of the time, same thing, the lights are back. The drain lines good. It hooked to hot water line. Its just a big pile of crap like every other post here. I will pull it out and start to fix it today. From day one the soap packs hung up. If you dont use a rinse product, it WILL NOT CLEAN DISHES. Its freakin required! DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER!!! Lucky me, I can fix this crap pile, pull it out, and Craigslist it goes. Awful product. They should be ashamed.

Samsung refrigerator not cooling bought 11 months ago. I am hoping for a fair solution from Samsung but not pleased with all the reviews that suggest that Samsung will not honor the one year warranty that it was sold with. If Lowes is to keep carrying Samsung refrigerators, the Samsung company needs to honor warranties and know how to fix their products. I am still asking for the warranty to be honored; they say it is out of warranty which it will be next week. I hope to get a repair this week and not need to take other action.

I do not typically do product reviews but after seeing a rash of Samsung refrigerator ads on TV I felt compelled to respond. We needed a new refrigerator after our 15 year old GE started having problems. We found a nice looking french door style Samsung with a middle drawer for refrigerated items, freezer drawer at the bottom, water and ice dispenser, all the whistles and bells - in fact more whistles and bells than we had ever seen before. We have four Samsung TVs that all work great so we decided to give Samsung refrigerators a try - VERY BAD DECISION. The ice/water dispenser stopped working and none of our local repair people knew how to repair Samsung refrigeration products. Entering the model and serial number into the Samsung website in order to locate a Samsung repair person proved very difficult - not user friendly. We finally got the ice maker repaired but ice cubes still get stuck coming out of the dispenser and we have to completely empty the freezer about every four month and chip out the ice buildup in the bottom of the freezer, otherwise it gets increasingly difficult to open and shut the freezer door. About every two months the handle literally comes loose from the freezer drawer and I have to find the correct size Allen wrench to reattach the handle. Finally, the bottom of the middle plastic drawer for refrigerated items cracked. I dont think we every loaded it with anything unduly heavy - it just appears to be very thin plastic and it cracked. My next refrigerator will not be a Samsung.

Bad product support & bad quality product: Samsung product is not working (product model no. 180 LITER, model name: Samsung double door)I’m frustrated after buying the Samsung refrigerator product and I m not satisfied with the service of this product. I bought the Samsung fridge last year. Now I have a lot of troubles at the present. It is not working. There is a major problem; the refrigerator is not working. Kindly register my complaint and replace the refrigerator I bought. If the Samsung refrigerator is not put into use by you or your authorized representatives, I will be left with no other option but to seek the legal assistance of the appropriate forum to get my grievances redressed.I am not really happy with the way your after care service centre is functioning, since they are simply interested in charging the customers rather than addressing the issue/problem rightfully. I hope you will understand my mental agony and the problem I have been facing all these days and set the issue amicably, since it is the responsibility and duty of the producing firms to attend to the customer’s needs. But yeah, Samsung has a very bad after sale support. They basically sell you the stuff and then forget about you after that. They dont care about the complaints, and they dont stand behind their products. I will never purchase another Samsung product again. I dont care how good they are. There are always alternatives, and I would rather deal with a reputable and ethical company. I want to replace my Samsung refrigerator immediately. I have very bad experience with Samsung product. Even I dont know where I am supposed to go with my complaint. What should I do? We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (French door/stainless steel type) because we had a small space to put one in so it had to be a certain dimension. I will NEVER buy anymore Samsung products again! Less than one year after we bought it I started to notice that ice was building up on the ice maker so it had to be defrosted every month or so. Next the ice maker fan stopped working and you cant buy just the small plastic fan...no. You have to buy the whole unit at $150.00. Thanks for forcing your customers to spend way more money than you have to! After having the fan unit replaced we noticed that the ice was building up even more and preventing the arm from moving the ice into the ice bin. After calling the repairman, we found out that the ice maker is now broken and it will not make or dispense ice. He also called Samsung for a replacement part and found out that the icemakers are on backorder so it will be a couple of months before we get one because the amount of people waiting for one is rather large. Evidently we are NOT the only people with this problem. We are now looking at spending another $250.00 for a new icemaker. All of the Samsung products I have purchased (washer and TV) have turned out to be crap. The washer had a recall because of the motor causing the lid to blow off of the washer so we got a crappy 150.00 to go buy another new washer that was NOT a Samsung! The TV the screen went out so we bought another TV that also was NOT a Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product (including phones) because their products are cheaply made and breakdown soon after you buy them. I would never recommend their products to anyone EVER!

Our Samsung dishwasher started leaking one week ago (3 years old). Not under warranty. It was very hard to get a Samsung approved repairman. When I called Samsung, they had never heard of a service bulletin, might not have heard of Samsung, not sure. They kept reading from their cue cards: Your dishwasher is not under warranty anymore. They were rude and very unhelpful. I have FOUR Samsung appliances in my kitchen, did not even treat me as a valued customer. I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 2017. At first, they were going to send out a tech to look at it since it completely just stopped working. My microwave is less than a year old and under warranty. After three days without a call from a tech to schedule an appointment to come fix it I called Samsung back. I explained that no one has come by or called about fixing my microwave. The customer service rep said they would contact the company about coming out to repair it. I also asked for the companys number. After still not hearing from them I called the company myself. No one answered so I left a message. After another few days with no call back I called Samsung again and reported the issue. Next, the rep put me on hold and tried to contact the company with no success. That rep said they would keep trying and call me back. Finally, after more than 2 weeks without a working microwave a Samsung rep called stating that they did not have anyone that could repair it and would issue a refund. But of course, there is a catch! I had to supply a receipt that I no longer and had paid cash for the microwave so no bank record. Once I explained this they said they could still issue a refund but it would take 10 days of review and then they would send out an email to start the process for getting a refund. I am not a criminal nor am I trying to scam them. I would much rather have my microwave fixed than purchase another one. But that does not seem to be an option. I cannot understand why it would take 10 days for review. Also, the refund is going to be $37 less than what we paid. We have had other Samsung products that we have had to replace or repair. We replaced our dishwasher and our refrigerator need to be replaced. It has several issues. We will not be purchasing anymore Samsung products or recommending them! We finally just went ahead and purchased another microwave and have the Samsung sitting around waiting for the email about getting a refund. Samsung requires you to take a picture of it with the cord cut and the serial number. I get this procedure but I should not have to wait 10 days for an email in order to send this information in. It seems like a stall tactic to me. I am a service business owner and would never have a customer wait over a month for results!

BUYERS BEWARE!! The worst experience involving the Samsung dishwasher DW80H9 series. First year the top rack was not functioning properly. The fix was use zip ties to stabilize, this was from a Samsung tech. Second year continually got the E7 error code, replaced the spray arm motor and assembly. Third year, same E7 code and replaced same parts again, but I had to wait 2-1/2 months to get the correct part. This year is the fourth year, guess what, same error code. Today I canceled all extended warranties, this company needs to remove their products from the consumer base and start over again. The Samsung Protection Plus warranty system is a joke also, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. If I can change a handful of peoples minds to purchase a different manufacturers product, my job is done. Please be aware that Samsungs appliances are pretty and your kitchen looks awesome, but not functional and you will be spending your valuable time on the phone for hours for repair. Please take heed!!!

March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator RS263TDR from my local Lowes store. About 18 moths later ice would collect on the back wall & water at the bottom of the fridge department. I called Samsung customer service and they advised me to go to a local certified Samsung repair shop. After the first year, Samsung customer service told me that these parts are not under warranty, repair cost $275.00. Just a few months later the ice maker was defective and water level was out of adjustment and too much water would overflow over the existing ice cubes. The ice cubes would become just one big block of ice and a sensor was dangling in the ice maker area. So we shut the ice maker off. A few months later the entire refrigerator shut down and we could not restart it again. Samsung technician told us that the main electronic motherboard is burnt and this is a major part and shall be covered for at least 5 years. In my disbelieve Samsung does not cover it after just one year. It is not worth it to repair this unit again! Parts and labor over $850. I had to replace my Samsung side by side refrigerator RS263TDR just after 3 1/2 years!!!

Two years ago I purchased a Samsung Side by Side refrigerator RS5267TDWP. The refrigerator portion stopped cooling. I had to throw all my food out. I had purchased the extended warranty. The repairman came out and determined what the problem was. One of the parts I needed was an Evaporator cover. The part number given to the repairman did not match what was in my refrigerator. Samsung insisted it was the right part. They had no other options. So Samsung cant remember or look up what parts they used in their refrigerators two years ago. So here I sit with no refrigerator. All the comments about the ice maker are spot on. The ice cubes freeze in the chute. Whoever designed the ice maker was a sadist. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. My last refrigerator made by Amana lasted 14 years at half the cost.

Samsung is terrible. My refrigerator freezes up constantly and makes terrible loud sounds. I have to constantly defrost it. Now the temporary repair is not lasting not even one week. It’s a defect with the French door style. And they won’t recall it. My stove is Samsung and I hate it as well. It’s hard to adjust the temperature settings on the burners.

Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RS263TDPN froze up the fan in the refrigerator side of the unit. I removed the plastic in front of the fan and defrosted the ice that had accumulated. Now I am attempting to re-install the parts and use the refrigerator. The unit had heated up the refrigerator and I had to throw away lots of food. That this is an issue with no Samsung support or bulletin is criminal. That the salespeople at stores continue to sell these units with no mention or discussion of problems when asked about the units is also criminal.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator on Nov. 10, 2010. We had to replace the ice bucket in May, 2014. Currently the refrigerator evaporator is inoperable and needs to be replaced. However, Samsung has discontinued this part and they do not offer information where we can purchase a generic part. Why would Samsung discontinue a part on a product that is less than four years old? Now we are going to have to buy a new refrigerator because of Samsungs ineptness. Believe me, it will NOT be a Samsung.

We purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances in Nov 2014. Our dishwasher is accumulating mold and the smell was awful. I called Samsung as we have owned plenty of dishwashers (Whirlpool, Frigidaire) and never had this problem. The customer service said that I should be running empty cycles with a special soap once a month. I told them we have run an empty cycle periodically but to have this bad of a smell in such a short amount of time is horrible. I also know someone with a Samsung dishwasher who has the same problem. They told me they would send out a technician but if the technician said it was due to me not following the maintenance guidelines I’d be responsible for the bill. I declined because I know THEIR technician would probably say its my fault. Very disappointed. So now we are stuck with a dishwasher we dont want. We definitely would never buy a Samsung dishwasher again and this horrible customer service would make us think twice about a Samsung anything (We have a lot of Samsung in our home currently). Should have splurged and got the Bosch!! Our model number was DW80F600UTS.

Top ice maker stopped working 2 times within a couple of weeks of being replaced. Thank God for buying extended warranty. Called Samsung twice directly and they brushed me off and seemed not to care about issues they have with their ice makers. Referred me back to warranty company. On March 15, 2013 we bought a Samsung French Door Smart Refrigerator (model # RF263BEAEWW/AA) from Home Depot, along with a 5-yr extended warranty. The ice maker was a little loud, but we could live with it. It was the perfect size, and had everything we needed. One yr and 10 months after we bought it, it stopped working on Dec. 23. There is only 2 people in our household, so it was not like someone was in and out of the refrigerator all day. On Dec. 29 the repairman came out and he said we needed a new compressor and he had to order the part. On Jan 12 the repairman returned with the compressor, but then said the freon had leaked out (which he could have found if he had brought the proper tools on the 1st visit) and as a result had spewed oil into all the coils and now everything had to be replaced, and he needed to order the parts! On Jan 16, we were told the parts would be in on Jan. 20..but by Jan. 30 they had not come in and we were told they were on back order. At this point, we had been without a refrigerator for ONE month! Home Depot finally reimbursed us for the cost of what we paid for the refrigerator, but it wasnt enough to cover a like model, in another brand. Once we knew the refrigerator could not be fixed, we wanted to return 2 Samsung water filters we had bought last year, to the cost of $154.00. The boxes have never been opened, but when I called Samsung parts representative, J & J International, they said they were unreturnable. Apparently, you only have 30 days to return parts, even if unopened! I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again. Buyer beware, their products get good reviews, but if anything happens, it is impossible to get parts or any customer satisfaction!!

I bought the Samsung french door refrigerator which was not inexpensive but I thought it would be worth the money. As soon as the warranty was out, it started to make a really loud noise. Apparently, frost builds up behind a panel that I cannot access and the circulation fan hits the ice. I have had a repairman out twice. Samsung says to unplug it for 5 hours and let the Ice melt. I have to do this every 5 days. Sadly, this is junk and I am probably going to have to get a new refrigerator after only three years. If there was a lower review that one star, I would give it.

This Samsung Range model (NE63T8711SG/AA) was purchased in February. Loaded with features as well as the oven compartment having an air fryer and dehydrator. 3 weeks after we purchased the $2000.00 range my wife decided to use the Air Fryer to make wings. The fan in the oven blew grease all over the oven coating the entire enamel surface with grease and the entire house was engulfed in smoke. Took us three days to clean off the caked on grease. Needless to say we will never use the Air Fry feature again. A few days later we tried to make a spaghetti dish. Not wanting to have caked on mess on the bottom we put aluminum in the oven. The oven melted the aluminum and is fused to the enamel surface of the oven. We have tried everything to get it off. Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. Besides this problem we have found that the burner knobs are so touchy that barely bumping them or leaning against the oven slightly will turn the burners on. The burners protrude past the range. Very dangerous! Beware of this oven!

I tried resetting the control module and worked for another week. I contacted Samsung and they acted like I was crazy. But thanks to kind folks in this forum, I went to repairclinic.com and purchased the replacement model item #2024600 and part #DE94-01999C for $70. I got it in a week and took all of 5 minutes to replace. I will restate the procedure: 1. Unscrew the 2 top vent screws and slide to the left. 2. Take out the top control module screw and gently remove, watching out for the tabs on the bottom. 3. There are 6 wiring connections that pull away very easily. Mark them if you need to.4. Put everything back and youre done. Working great! So far. This was way easier than I thought. Also, I contacted Consumer Reports and they provided info for filing formal complaints with various agencies. But they must be listening because Samsung is no longer in their OTR recommended list.

The worst fridge imaginable! Avoid purchasing a Samsung fridge with exterior ice & water dispenser. We have the French door version (not our first weve had LG in the past) and since Day 1 it has caused us grief and damaged our hardwood floors. The water dispenser nozzle is bent towards the fridge instead of straight down (default setting apparently according to Samsung), and dispenses water with such force that no matter what you do, you end up with water shooting back at you and ultimately onto the floor. Similar problems with the ice dispenser. Although it is always on CUBE setting, shards of ice always spill forth in all directions, ultimately ending up on the floor. We have had to place a tea towel beside the fridge to wipe up the floors EACH TIME we use either ice or water dispenser. Both water and ice dispensers have damaged our hardwood floors over time, and we have had this fridge for only 7 months! Calling Samsung warranty and repair is a nightmare too; disorganized group of customer service representatives who patch you through to another department, ultimately making you repeat the reason why you are calling in the first place. (Why Samsung doesnt have a customer complaint database accessible to all customer service reps is shocking to me.)Ultimately through Samsung we had a visit from a Samsung Certified Repair technician who fiddled around with a couple things and attempted to convince us all was good. We still have the same problems. I am going to work on returning this fridge. How anyone can purchase an appliance that damages your house AND requires you to do extra work is beyond comprehension. We purchased the fridge at Sears Canada and I will be fighting tooth and nail to exchange this for an LG.

Purchased the Samsung refrigerator Model #RSG257AARS on March 28, 2010 from HH Gregg. July 22, 2013, the refrigerator stopped working. We had never received a written warranty. Looked on Internet at Samsung website and it said there was a ONE-YEAR warranty. Called a repairman. Compressor was bad. Cost of repair approximately $1200. Cost of service call, $80. A couple of days later, the repair company called and said the compressor was under warranty and they would fix it. August 23, 2013 refrigerator stopped working a second time. According to the repairman, Samsung products are JUNK! We looked at Consumer Guides before purchasing and this refrigerator was at the top of the list. Why? I also found (on the Internet) a class action suit filed against Samsung for their shoddy refrigerators. Repairman said Samsung is flooding the market with products that are untested. We have a 45-year-old General Electric refrigerator in our garage that is working fine. That is where our food is right now.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator June, 2015. Within 6 weeks, water started leaking from under the freezer. I called Samsung customer service who attempted to give me some how-to information. This did not work. For over 1 year Ive tried to rectify the problem via Samsung until they finally said, sucks to be you!, your appliance is out of warranty. I pushed the issue and was told to submit receipts, which are on thermo paper and no longer readable. It has been determined to be un-repairable because there is no Samsung service repair in my area. Likely a simple adjustment needs to be done, but Samsung will not authorize repair. They tell me that I will have to send in the paperwork, all labels from appliance, the cord (plus a video of me cutting said cord), and they will review the file and send me a check... I remodeled my kitchen and bought all new appliances for continuity. Samsung had a special going on with interest free purchase so bought their refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. I am having difficulties with their dishwasher and refrigerator. Lets talk about the dishwasher first (model number DW80J3020US). This dishwasher does not work well at all. I pre-rinse before I load and yet it does not wash dishes clean unless on heavy wash with sanitize option. Even then, sometimes the dishes are not clean. I called Samsung customer service and we did some troubleshooting over the phone. That did not work, so she sent someone to look at the dishwasher. The repair man came. He was super rude and short, he turned it on then turned it off and said nothing is wrong with the dishwasher. I need to buy a different dish washing soap. I told him that the soap would not cause the dishes to have black particles on the dishes also that I pre-rinse. He stated that Samsung only recommends the use of one type of soap. Then he told me that if I call to waste his time again then there would be a charge. My refrigerator (model number RF23HCEDBSR/AA) is only one year old and the ice maker is not working. I called Samsung and the customer service rep. stated that I need adjust the leveling of the fridge and check that my water supply is enough to the fridge. She claimed that the front of the fridge must be higher than the back. I did as she told me yet. NO ICE and the water trickles out. I told her this and she insisted that it is my fault. I asked her to send someone out and she said I would be charged. I WOULD NEVER recommend any of Samsungs products to anyone.

I bought a Samsung RF266 for ~$1,500. Within 2 years, the sensor broke and iced up and caused the fan to make noise. It was repaired, but of course, not covered under the manufacturers 5-year warranty. The repair guy told me its quite common that the sensor has issues. Having known this, I would not have purchased a Samsung fridge. It cost me about 20% of the original cost to have this fixed. As a reasonable person, I would expect issues such as this to be covered under the warranty. The warranty states, Samsung will repair or replace any part found to be defective. It also states, This limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. I think any reasonable person would expect a sensor to work for the full 5 years. And if not, that it should be covered under the above warranty statement. I called Samsung and the lady Ashley basically told me I should have gotten an extended warranty and it was not their issue that the sensor breaks frequently. Theres customer service for you. So I would definitely not buy any of their products going forward as well. I bought this Samsung refrigerator RF217ACPN from Lowes in August of 2011. In July 2013, the display panel failed and made it impossible to turn off the unit or change any settings. I called my repair technician who ordered a replacement display. After being backordered for two months, the item finally came in and he replaced the item on the refrigerator. The replacement failed to fix the problem. I have tried contacting Samsung support and their website is horrible, their chat service abominable and when I did finally get to chat, I was told I would hear from Samsung in two business days. Nothing after 10 days. I cannot find any repair service that will work on this brand. Lowes should not carry Samsung as the product is so bad. Wasted my money. Never again.

Purchased full kitchen suite August 2016. The only unit we havent had to have repairs on is the range. The refrigerator is the worst of all. On our third repair the unit doesnt defrost properly which causes ice build up and the fan motor freezes. This in turn causes the unit to run at 50 degrees F. So not only are we several hundred into repairs were out several hundred in spoiled food. Appropriate that its Halloween cause the nightmare just wont stop.

This has to be one of the worst refrigerators (Samsung 28.5 capacity, French door with freezer below) ever made. The ice maker would make ice sporadically. Sometimes there was enough ice to get through a day. Most of the time we had to rely on trays of ice that we purchased separately out of frustration. The shelves that hung on the doors were so poorly designed that they often broke off which caused many disasters with broken condiments and such. I know the shelving problem is not isolated to our refrigerator. A friend had the same model and every one of his shelves were also broken. Currently my shelving is patched together with tons of duct tape. Now to make things worse only 7 years old and the compressors has stopped working. I would caution anyone who is considering a Samsung refrigerator to reconsider.

In March of 2015 my wife and I bought a Samsung 22.5 cu. ft French Door Refrigerator and the Samsung Protection Plus Plan. This refrigerators initial cost was $2,498.40 and the Protection Plus Plan cost was approximately $700. Beginning in late June 2017 the ice maker began to develop problems making ice cubes and finally just made watered slushy ice. I called the Samsung phone number listed on the Protection Plus contract 1-800-726-7864 and explained the problem. First problem was I could barely understand the staff person I was speaking to. Secondly I further explained I had the extended protection plan and needed service. I was given a repair ticket number and told I would be contacted within 48 hours. I received a call from a service company that Samsung contacted and was told there was a charge to come out and then additionally a charge for the repair. I was told their company did not accept the Samsung Protection Plan and to call Samsung back. It should be noted in my area there are VERY few repair companies that accept the Samsung Protection Plus Plan or even want to service their refrigerators. I was told by a repairman parts are very difficult to get. Subsequently I once again called Samsung and once again explained I need my refrigerator serviced under the Protection Plan. I will not go into detail of how many times I had to call Samsung which took a month to finally get the refrigerator supposedly repaired in late July 2017. However, even after the service repair the ice maker still does not function properly. It is now early August 2017 and I once again called Samsung and explained to their staff the ice maker still is not working properly. I once again was given a repair ticket number and once again was contacted by the same company that wanted to charge for a service call. I did some research and found the phone number to Samsung Protection Plus Tech Support. I called that number and explained the problem and am still awaiting a call from the company that performed the last service repair. In conclusion, I would NEVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE having experienced firsthand the quality of their product. Additionally, their Samsung Protection Plus Plan is a serious JOKE and is a total waste of money. I plan on submitting for a refund of the money we paid for the protection plan which is possible per information within the contract.

I have a RFG29 Samsung French Door Refrigerator that is about 7-8 years old and no longer within warranty. We started having ice build up under the large slide-out crisper drawer that hindered getting the drawer to slide out. Called the Samsung US for help and the customer service person said it needed to be level - they explained when the screw down levels in front touched the floor, it was level. Of course that didnt work, so called back on a Thursday and another representative told me how to identify the error code on the control panel - that indicated a freezer evaporator defrost system failure. The rep then set me up with an afternoon service appointment for following Monday, and the service company would contact me to confirm the appointment. Was also told that a flat $120 fee would need to be prepaid. The repair service company called the next day and said their first available appointment time was the following Thursday between 1:00 and 5:00 - said the Samsung Customer service could only give me a preferred time, and not an actual appointment time since the local service company controlled their schedule. Also paid them the $120 fee via credit card. When Thursday afternoon came, I heard nothing and called Samsung Customer Service to find out what was going on. The Customer Service Rep checked and found that the first repair service had transferred the repair ticket to another repair service who quit doing business with Samsung the day before my scheduled service, and my ticket was transferred to a third repair service. The Rep gave me their name and number, and said they should contact me to schedule service. (I did check and found that my credit card had not been charged by the first repair service.) I checked reviews for the third repair service, and saw they were generally bad.I called a non-factory authorized repair service the next day (Friday) who came out that afternoon and immediately told me the problem had a factory service repair kit which they would install for a flat fee (suspect it was cheaper than Samsung) and warranty it for a year (think Samsung authorized service was either 30 or maybe 90 days). They ordered the part, came back the following Monday and installed the factory repair kit, and things seem to work fine. I never heard from the third Samsung authorized repair service. To top it off, I got a call from Samsung US Customer Service who wanted to know where I bought my refrigerator. Further, since Samsung could not provide a service tech, they would give us full credit toward a new replacement refrigerator. However, as my wife said, how are we supposed to shop for a refrigerator under COVID-19 lockdown? I told the Rep that I had the refrigerator repaired, and Samsung could pay the repair bill ($300) - the Rep then informed me since I didnt use an authorized Samsung repair service, Samsung would not pay for the repairs and also that I was no longer eligible for a replacement refrigerator! I politely (not) told her it would be a cold day in hell before I ever had another Samsung product. Subsequently, I received an email from Samsung canceling my repair ticket. At least I found what I consider a very good appliance repair shop locally.

I am having the same problem as Kimberly from California reviewed back in September on the water filter replacement cartridge DA29-00003G for the SAMSUNG French Door Refrigerator. No matter how hard I try to twist the filter, it will not seat into the receptacle even though it is the correct filter listed in my owners manual. The previous filter is an off brand made by HDX as a replacement for Samsung and it worked fine. The only difference between the two is the locking mechanism on the neck as Kimberly illustrated in her pics and I have attached my own pic as well. I have used SAMSUNG replacement filters before and this is the first time experiencing this problem. This engineering problem needs to be remedied immediately before someone ends up breaking their refrigerator and paying hundreds of dollars in replacement parts or even having to buy a new refrigerator! In the meantime I will return my filter to the store and spend my money on the other brands filter. This is a very poor oversight on SAMSUNGs part!

I purchased a Black Samsung bottom freezer RB215ACBP and last year noticed the loud noise and the water in the veggie drawers as well. I also noticed the freezing under the drawers if it’s not frozen, it’s a ton of water. I called last year and customer service SUCKS!!! They were no help and told me to have someone come out and told me the motor was still under warranty. BUT if it’s not the motor, I would have to pay for the service call. Are you kidding me!? I was very displeased and to see all the complaints, I am very dissatisfied. And you would think Samsung would do something about this knowing there are so many complaints. I am not happy at all about this and if there is a class action suit, I am willing to get on the bandwagon because this is a 3-year-old fridge, and now this year (summer) seems to do it the most. And the noise is back, very loud like the motor is going bad, and the leaking water is back as well. And I should NOT have to defrost my 3-year fridge. Umm, don’t think so. I paid good money for this appliance and it’s doing these things. Umm, not good... Thank goodness for sites like these. Thank you.

I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.

On 21 January 2014 I purchased a Samsung 924L 4dr ref steel fridge for a lot of money. Approx some time in September 2015 had to ring Samsung to inform them that I had no ice. I was taken to the Philippines and spoke to a representative who explained to me that they would send someone out from Nerang to look at the fridge. (By the way I did purchase product care which meant that the fridge was under 6 years warranty.) A person after 3 days came out and was late for their appointment (didnt apologise) and said that the fridge had ice and that I should not touch the button on the rhs as this would cause problems and that ice would not produce if the temperatures were wrong. (I was dumbfounded that Samsung would put a button on their fridge and that the consumer should not touch it.) I was also informed that if I had created the mistake I would have to pay for it (do you believe this). I agree that I touched the button after reading their manual for troubleshooting ideas but I dont believe that I had anything to do with breaking this fridge (disgusting customer service representation on their part). I then, after about a week and a half was stuck with the same problem and therefore contacted product care. I was quite taken aback when I was spoken to by a representative from Australia and not overseas. I then realised that I had contacted Samsung direct the first time. The lady I spoke to was very nice and informed me that even though I still had my original warranty with Samsung Product Care was the necessary component I should have spoken to at first. Well, anyway they then informed me that they needed to send out a repairman to see the damage to the fridge. I was very happy about this but asked them if they would not use the company in Nerang and she then told me that this company was not on their records and I could choose a company from Tweed Heads or Southport. I chose the Company from Southport and a gentleman came out within a couple of days and informed me that my ice maker was broken. He suggested that since I had a replacement option it was probably better to do that. I was then informed by him to ring Product Care to let them know that he would be sending his report through asap. I did that the same afternoon and heard nothing for about a week. I was very frustrated and was told by Product Care that they never received the report from the repairman. I then contacted the repair service and was told that I was not able to have the report sent to me direct as it was inconceivable that they could do this. I requested to speak to a supervisor or someone in charge to explain why. This person, Camillia responded by saying that the report stated that the icemaker was broken and also the motherboard and because it was a big problem they had been contacted by Samsung direct and had been informed to deal with them direct and not product care. I find this ridiculous. Firstly I am the client, customer service should dictate that I should be fully aware of what is going on. Of course not, we are dealing with Samsung. Product Care rang me to inform me that this was nonsense and that I had been issued a full refund less product care and that I would get a new fridge asap. Firstly I needed to contact Domayne where I originally bought the fridge from and purchase another fridge which I did. I had to purchase another fridge and pay a second time for product care. I find this unbelievable. I must mention that I got a call from Camillia in regards to the above on my answering service to inform me that the matter had been escalated to a review centre at Samsung and that I should contact them. I find this incredible. Why are companies like this allowed to get away with treating their consumers so shabbily.

I bought all Samsung appl. when we built but Im having second thoughts... the refrigerator (side by side with water ice on outside) is not all worth the $$. The size gets cramped inside without a lot of shelving room and the outside ice dispenser always clogs and you stand there for minutes until the big globs of crushed ice falls out because if you dont get it out when you open the fridge door it all falls on the floor. At first I thought the part had sheared somehow and that is why it was loose. So I bought another arm. $110.00 bucks! The new one popped in and lo & behold it did the same thing. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2013 RS265TDRS. Immediately the ice maker had issues, and I have to continue to defrost the ice maker monthly and the dispenser gets clogged. It was embedded in the door, now I see they have abandoned that approach. My bigger issue is that this year the refrigerator stopped working and wouldnt cool. The temperature gauge showed 38 degrees but it was warm and all food spoiled. Had to pay a repairman to come out and tell us this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators and they need to be defrosted constantly, especially in humid areas and not to use the energy saving setting. He basically indicated the auto defrost is no longer working and it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge than to fix this one. Even though Samsung shows 10 year warranty on the compressor, what good is that if you cant use the fridge after only 6 years and after talking to Samsung they only cover their product for 1 year. Lowes had a 3 year extended warranty. Repairman said he has better experiences with other brands.

Cleaning product was approved stainless steel cleaner. 3 other stainless steel appliances in home have no rust (other brands). Purchased at Lowes online. Have been told by Lowes that Samsung doesnt warranty cosmetic issues. This is NOT a cosmetic issue but a moisture issue from inside the unit. Bought a Samsung french door fridge a year and a half ago. It had a musty smell in it from the start that we were consistently trying to eliminate. The ice maker is terrible, always jamming, leaking and poor output of ice. After about a year of owning the fridge, part of the cooling system in the fridge section froze over and now the fridge portion does not cool enough to store food in it. The warranty has expired so we are on the hook for repairs for this product which cost $2,000. I have read many reviews of others having this same issue with a Samsung fridge. I would definitely not recommend a Samsung refrigerator. I wish I had done more research on reviews before purchasing.
