Product Reviews:

We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator/Freezer almost 3 years ago
We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator/Freezer almost 3 years ago from PC Richard & Son. We have replaced the shelves which line the doors at least 6 times. They are of the absolute poorest quality and are usable for barely 6 months before breaking. Samsung has ZERO to say about this, and offers nothing to the consumer in terms of compensation. We have spent over $250 on new shelves. This is apparently quite a common problem as the shelves are back-ordered and we are now living with one empty door. Aside from this, the ice maker is on its 3rd breakdown. This is another common issue with Samsung. There is a video on Youtube about how to try fixing it at home with 100,000 views - as my husband says, its hard to imagine that people are watching this for entertainment. Apparently the ice builds up in the back of the fridge and is then hit by a fan, causing an incredibly loud, constant noise. We have had this repaired twice by PC Richard, the last time was just a couple of weeks ago. Samsung refuses to acknowledge that their product is defective, and offered us parts if we would pay their service department for the repair. Funny that their same defective parts have failed to fix the problem twice already. My refrigerator is now empty while my husband attempts to blow dry the back of it to get the ice to melt. Samsung is producing complete and utter garbage. They have no respect for their customers and do not stand behind their products. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung item and intend to warn anyone who wants too.

I believe Samsung on purpose! made an oven that does not allow you to put foil on the bottom of the oven to catch any spills. Knowing most people do put the foil on the bottom; this is the way they get more money from the consumer because the melting foil and the damage of the coating that came off is not covered by the warranty. I had 2 service people come out 4 months after purchase for another problem and neither of them said anything about the foil that was on the bottom of the oven. Your own service people are not educated about the products they are working on. Now I have an oven I can no longer use. Its less than a 1 year old. Purchased on 4/17/19.It says in the manual page 8, (But not in Bold) that the foil could cause electric shock or catch fire. That seems pretty important but you didnt bother to make that in Bold. Because you want people to use the foil/liner and ruin their ovens. You put stupid things in bold like, use care when toughing the cooktop. Like I need to be told that! Really Samsung, you have gone backwards in developing new products. Why would you design something that not every oven user will know what not to do unless they read your user manual. What about when you sell a house. Should the new owners automatically know that your oven could cause an electric shock or catch fire because they put a liner on the bottom of the oven. It seem like your lack of care for your customers really speaks volume of what kink of people you are! You set your customers up to fail, and that makes you a big failure! The oven already does not follow the California law of not having any cancer causing materials. Wow! Samsung, thanks again for caring so much about your buyer! You had a designer who was not educated on why the foil on the bottom of the oven is so important. And probably has never used an oven. Pay attention to your buyers! Get better designers who have experience in using the product! Just because they have a college degree does not mean they know anything about what they are designing! I will make sure I let everyone I know not to buy Samsung and why!

The freezer part of the refrigerator quit working after only two years. The fact that Samsung is aware of the problem tells me it is a regular occurrence. I wrote to them about the problem and they directed the questions and then said it had to be repaired at my expense. The specific model is RF217 French door.

I am very surprised that Samsung has not had to recall their microwave ovens. All of a sudden the panel shows a code SE or E5 error code. The micro does just not go dead. It starts doing strange things..... constant beeping.... coming on by itself..... blinking lights. These are not old micros. Mine is not even three years old. I called Samsung. They were less than helpful and suggested we call a service center. They ignore the problem and will not even admit that there is a problem. I am done with Samsung Microwaves. Never had a problem with GE!

I bought a Samsung refrigerator and a Samsung washer and dryer a year and eight months ago. I dont recommend anyone to buy anything that has the name Samsung on it. I had the refrigerator about a year and the memory board went out causing the icebox part to freeze and the freezer part to be the icebox. It cost me $500 to replace the memory board. Now eight months later, my washer has stopped working. It is a computer chip that has gone out which Im sure will not be cheap. I wouldnt recommend Samsung to anyone. They couldnt give me another Samsung product for free. I wouldnt bring it in my house. Buyers beware!

I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired. Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company. Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.

I am doing something that I was hoping that I would not have to do. I am putting the Samsung Corporation on public blast because I have been given absolutely no other option! After purchasing a top of the line dishwasher just last fall, our unit has required repair for error codes 3 TIMES. All were under warranty and while the first tech was educated and efficient...the problem was not fixed leading us to where we are today. Approximately 6 weeks ago (while still within the manufactures warranty) we placed a call for repair. After an hour of waiting on the line, we were told that a service repair shop would be calling us. Never did. I called said company 3 times and left messages hoping for a return call. Never happened. Called Samsung back...waited an hour and 40 minutes for a rep. Was told that a repair shop would be calling me to schedule. Gave me the number for the exact same repair shop. I declined. Asked for another shop. They finally agreed to send someone else out at your request...like it was unusual that I wanted another company. That company called and scheduled with me but needed a week to order parts (how did they know what part if there was no in person diagnostic?). Fine. No dishwasher 2 weeks...ok, well be patient. Came out, replaced main board in about 30 min and was out. Started the cycle and it looked to be working and left. Day after, first full load in the machine...ERROR CODE. Are you kidding me? Called Samsung...I could go on and on about the HOURS AND HOURS we have sat on hold with Samsung. At least 1 hour and 30 minutes EACH CALL, EVERY TIME. We have phone records to support this. We have asked to be expedited to executive customer service = declined. We have asked for a replacement unit = declined. We have asked why this has happened = no answer. WE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN PATIENT but at this point it has been upwards of SIX WEEKS since this has started and there has been NO RESOLUTION whatsoever. We have followed up almost every other day with this company to check the status, we have proven our bill of sale, we have provided them with many, many, many opportunities to make this right = DECLINED. We asked for our case to be forwarded to a higher level = declined. We feel totally at their mercy. We are at our wits end because we feel we are being taken advantage of and have been given NO SOLUTION to our issue. The customer service has been DEPLORABLE to say the least. I am BEGGING for someone, anyone...please help! Has anyone experienced this? What do we do? We 100% do not want this unit anymore (when warranty is up...well be responsible to pay for these constant error codes to be fixed) and we would be more than happy with either a full refund or an exchange for a non-Samsung dishwasher (from HH Gregg). We feel like this company has us strung up with no option but to be continually jacked around. We have asked for a copy of our communication transcript and were told that they cannot provide that for us. (WHAT?) We do not have finances to pursue legal action, but if we did, that is the route we feel is appropriate after all that we have experienced.

We have the same problems as so many others! Water/ice under crisper drawers. Warranty has expired - OF COURSE. Unfortunately, we bought all new household appliances in 2012. EVERY SINGLE APPLIANCE has had problems, the fridge is only the latest. The washer....spitting water out from the dispenser tray and the drum seal leaking as well. Stove, fan, element, dishwasher quit working completely and had to be replaced and now the refrigerator. The only one covered by warranty was the dishwasher. I swear, they have timers in these things setting them to fail.

OMG. So upset I did not read reviews before purchase. My husband found a beautiful Samsung 25.5 cu ft French Door refrigerator at Lowes. It was on sale for 50% off. It had a dent in it. Tiny dent. No big issue. Fortunately we bought the 5 year warranty. Lowes delivered it. At delivery it had several more tiny dents, a deep gouge (small), and a huge crease on the right hand door and all the way down to the freezer door. So much for Lowes delivery service. Freezer not working, fridge not working. Ruined a weeks worth of groceries. Havent even plugged in the ice maker or anything--because we have always heard the ice makers in Arizona are the first to go because of the hard water. Did the reset as suggested in the manual. No go. No response from Samsung and no response from Lowes. So our good deal is really not a good deal at all!

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator freezer two years ago, I have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator side. It would not keep the frig side cool, I called Samsung for a repairman and it took them forever to come and check the frig. So I called a repairman...he came over right away and fixed it for me. He told me that these Samsung refrigerators have this recurring problems, where they ice up and I have to defrost them every month. I even replaced a part that cost me over $50.00 and didnt help and it did not. The same thing keeps happening. Every time I call Samsung they give me the runaround. I also purchased a Samsung washer and now it is starting to give me problems. It will give me a DC code...it means that the load is off set.

We purchased a very expensive/nice Samsung refrigerator two years ago. Recently we smelled a burning smell and then woke up to find that the entire refrigerator had gone out. The handy dandy electronic panel on the front complete with wifi/music/weather was still working perfectly saying that the fridge was cooling. IT WAS NOT! After, transferring the entire fridge/freezer to multiple coolers on a Sunday we proceeded to call to get a repairman on Monday morning. Well, come to find out not many people can repair these fridges! So, we talked to Samsung customer service who promised to send someone out. A day later, we hear from someone who is coming the next day. Mind you it has now been three days without refrigeration. They finally show up, after we were talked into purchasing a protection plan for another year since ours had expired. After looking at the refrigerator for ten minutes it is decided that the entire compressor is out. They put the fridge right back in place and said they would be in touch. They have to ORDER the compressor (which takes two weeks at least) after they call to get it covered by Samsung. Apparently the compressor is covered for 5 years which means we didnt need to buy the other coverage for $300. I will NEVER buy another Samsung anything and I just want to let everyone else know to steer clear!!!! I hope Samsung will read this and someone up the line at Corporate will take a look at their customer service department!

Since June 14, I’ve made several calls to Samsung to correct the finish coming off the oven, trays coming loose in the fridge and bubbling of the control panel on the oven. They just kept asking for receipts, pictures, descriptions, several times. Every time I got a new person, had to go thru the explanation all over. They told me I bought this May 2018, out of warranty, until I sent a receipt showing July 2018. Anyhow by the time the fix it guy got approved to look at it, he came, took video all over again to prove the appliances were in our house??? Talked to the rep and was told they wouldn’t cover it, REALLY??? The fix it guy said we would have to call them back, OMG, and ask why they wouldn’t cover it. Called and they had no record of any problems and to give them a week and call back. Ready to return this crap back to them. Never been so frustrated!!!

The refrigerator I bought from Samsung is dysfunctional. Repairs have been a waste of both my time and money. Samsung customer service is nonexistent. Dealing with them is an emotionally draining experience. They refuse to take responsibility for their faulty product. The refrigerator does not keep food cold enough to be safe to eat. The ice maker has been an issue for quite some time leaking water under the crisper draw and onto my hardwood floor. The most recent service technician told me not to eat any food from the fridge. He reported to Samsung from my house and sent them pictures of my damaged floor. He told me to get an estimate to repair my floor which I have sent to Samsung several times. Samsung is ignoring me. I still have a damaged floor and a refrigerator that does not work properly.

My gas range was purchased at a local hardware store and installed just 4 months ago. No extended warranty purchased so I had to deal directly with Samsung. It has been 3 weeks since the gas company shut off my gas & determined the range was leaking 10 times the allowable limit of carbon monoxide. After 3 weeks of deliberations, Samsung is reimbursing me for the purchase price of the range rather than replacing it. The range was purchased during an exceptional sale, therefore I’m unable to replace for the same price. Not to mention, gas hookup for the new stove as well as cost of technicians, all of this under their 1 year warranty. Poor customer service.

I purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerator 3 years ago because I thought Id get quality and good service. While the ice maker froze and the service person fixed it by using a steam gun it happened again. Easy fix though, since I have a hair dryer. Last week the handle came off the freezer drawer. I had purchased a store warranty that is still in effect; however when I called for service the representative said handles are not included in the warranty. I called the Authorized Service Company who sent a repairman out charging us $75+tax. He said that this model has no way to replace the handle and the only solution is to replace the whole freezer drawer at a cost of $465 and another service charge which means a total cost of $625. The repairman said older models had an access at the top of the drawer which would allow such a repair, but the new models do not have this handy option. To me this is a design flaw that requires the customer excess cost.

Samsung microwave SMH9187ST - We experienced the error over the weekend (lots of fun having beeping coming from an unknown place in the house at 3 AM); unplugged and plugged back in in the morning, but it only worked for a couple hours before the SE error and beeping starting again. UGH... I am not brave enough to pull open the unit on my own, so I called Samsung and initial support told me they could do a service call at my expense where the unit is out of warranty. I stood my ground and politely reminded the service rep of how many errors are noted for this unit online, the commitment of Samsung to address the issue, and that numerous other owners have had this service provided for free - even for out of warranty units. After some further holding I was transferred to the Executive Service Center where the rep. agreed to cover the cost of the service call and repair provided it is in fact the touchpad that needs to be replaced. If the issue is something else (highly unlikely), I would own the cost. Seemed reasonable so I agreed. I am now pending a call from a local service vendor to schedule the work. The kill em with kindness approach worked well in getting them to work with me and cover the cost of the repair. Overall this has been a pretty reliable unit for the past 3 years. I just dont get why they dont do a full recall if this is going to happen with every unit eventually.

We bought Samsung appliances after Hurricane Sandy. The dishwasher doesnt dry dishes properly. I always have to dry with a towel. Range knobs all broke and are loose. Refrigerator has seams in the drawers that you cannot clean under. I will never buy Samsung appliances again. They should stick to electronics. Also the Samsung name is half off from the stove because they are only stick-on letters. The stove knobs are also plastics and melt and are loose. The appliances look attractive but the above items are what I have an issue with. I recommend to stick with a company that has a good reputation for kitchen appliances. Samsung is stalling on my repair/replacement request until I pass the manufacturer warranty. I contacted Samsung several times requesting that they either service or replace my refrigerator. The refrigerator is constantly leaking in the drawers, the freezer and the floors and does not cool well at the recommended temperature. The representative transferred me to an incorrect service department. Second time around, they kept me for 1.5 hours and claimed they can’t find the serial number to match the model and asked me to send them a copy- I did. Still no feedback or contact from Samsung or its service dept. The company is ignoring the American consumer! There is so many consumer complaints about Samsung refrigerators having the same issues as I report. These are not small ticket items. It is about time for Samsung to own up to its bad products and recall these refrigerators. My old refrigerator by a different manufacturer lasted 50 years. The Samsung refrigerators did not last 6 months. It is time for Consumers Affairs and the Attorney General to order Samsung to recall its products and to reimburse its consumers for every refrigerator with problems. It is time for Consumer Affairs and the Attorney General to prohibit Samsung from selling its refrigerators in the US! Thank you.

I am having the same issues that was stated by Sandy. I was and am very disappointed that I feel Samsungs marketing is not telling the truth about this stove. The tech came out today and told me that even though my stove says 350 degrees, it is not because Samsung wanted the energy star rating and that the stove is actually 265 and needs another 15 minutes to be at temperature, even though the stove says 350. He said a lot of companies are doing that now so they can get the rating. The other thing that I am not happy is that the top part of the oven, that says you can bake, you really cannot. It is more of just a broiler. So all my stuff burns, but does not cook in the middle. This is not what I thought I was purchasing.

My Samsung refrigerator is less than two years old and the ice maker doesnt work. We have done all the recommended fixes several times. Both Best Buy and Samsung will not do anything to help. Reliable appliance repairmen wont work on Samsung appliances and say they cant even get parts. Also the interior design isnt very good. The door shelves have an extra metal trim and there is space between it and the plastic wall. If something spills and gets between the metal and the plastic wall it is a nightmare to clean. I also find removing the plastic vegetable bins to clean a big hassle. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.

Please do not buy their refrigerators they are not worth it and the honorable thing would be for them to replace a refrigerator that we expected to function for at least 5 years. It also makes me wonder about the quality of their other products. We dont have $3,000 just to buy refrigerators.

They just told me to reset, so I did. Work for a one month. On 7-2-14 called them again then in 8-26-14, then 2-6-15 then 2-8-15. I have all my reference #. They told me to take back to Best Buy but not until my warranty was expired. Now Im have a fridge that I paid 1,300.00 with ice maker that dont work. What Kind of Company is This? Please help me with my issue!!!! They need to understand that Im a 54 y/o female that lives 98 miles away from Best Buy and not easy to just take a fridge in a Car!!!

We bought a high end Samsung stainless steel over the counter microwave oven to replace a different one (other brand) that failed after 10 years. The Samsung one failed after 22 months of operation (out of warranty) when it stopped heating items. No noises or weird indicators to report of. Now, I am left with the choice of paying for repairs or buying a new unit (not a Samsung ever again). It is inexcusable for a household appliance to fail so soon, and that there is no indication of the failure (error code, warning) other than it stopped doing what it was designed to do in the first place.Without a working microwave, we cannot prepare kids lunches, warm our food, or cook dinner. Like other similar complaints, I am left with the choice of paying for costly and long repairs, or buying a new unit. I hope nobody else does the same mistake we did and buy a new Samsung microwave.

I have had this Fridge for about 6 years and it a world class piece of junk. The Temp sensor for the fridge defrost went bad and I Successfully fixed that myself with a $5 part. Now the freezer compartment has been icing as well. The same temp sensor replacement did not however solve the icing problem there. I have taken apart the back panel of the freezer to defrost about three times now. A Sears repairman had a brief look and told me it was most likely a bad temp sensor OR a bad Thermal Fuse. I will try the thermal fuse next. Now, something else has developed. The freezer is not cooling properly even though it has been manually defrosted just two days ago. I do not recommend Samsung as a fridge. It looks nice but has given me lots of problems.

If you want the worlds worst customer service and to deal with a company who will do anything to avoid standing by their warranty, then buy a Samsung. On May 16 our side by side fridge stopped working. We have been EXTREMELY frustrated with customer support. We were first told Williamston TV in Farmingdale, NY would be calling us to set up an appointment. After not receiving a call from them, I called their center and they informed me they do not work on appliances. I contacted Samsung again and was given Rods in Riverhead, NY. Someone was suppose to come out today between 9 and 10 am - but no one from their center ever answered their phone. My husband ended up losing a days work because he took off to be home for the repairman. When I googled that company, their average review received 1 out of 5 stars (with many references of no one answering their phone and people never showing up to their house). I then called Samsung again and after 1/2 hour the customer service woman told us those were the only 2 centers on Long Island. Finally she told us we could get our own diagnostic and email it. Local appliance company - Recommended new refrigerator. Unit has bad evaporated coil and cover. According to the warranty from website this is covered under the 5 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR. In addition to the inconvenience, we have lost several hundred dollars in spoiled food, my husband losing a day of work, and a freezer full of pumped breast milk for my 3 month old. We need to have a response and action done immediately as we are continuing to have to go to the store to get ice to store my sons milk and keep my one and half year old sons medicine.Samsungs email response - We are sorry to hear about your response, we will dispatch Williamston TV repair. (Note - this is exactly the company I mentioned that does not work on appliances.) Samsung Executive Customer Service phone response - We need to wait for Samsung to look over and evaluate their contract with Rods. If they decide Rods is not responsive then they will put our claim through an evaluation to see if they will in fact accept the local appliance diagnostic and allow them to do the repair, a process which could take two weeks to get an approval. Shame on you Samsung! Stop telling me I will do everything to help you and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing problems. You obviously do not care about your customers or your product! #samsung, #samsungrefrigerator, #betterbusinessbureau, #samsungcustomersupport, #refrigerator, #worstwarranty, #samsungwarranty

The refrigerator seems great until the evaporator began freezing up at about 15 months. I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015 from Home Depot. I will never buy Samsung again nor an appliance from Home Depot. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed bubbling of the finish on the front with peeling. This includes the left door where the ice maker is located, the drawer and the freezer drawer. The surfaces are raised from the inside out which to me indicates rust. As I began my process to complain I began with Home Depot who informed me my extended warranty didnt cover cosmetic problems. From there directly to Samsung who has consistently refused to stand behind their product. Almost telling me it is my fault. Well what about quality of the product and consumer satisfaction? In the business we own, quality is our most important aspect. Without good quality and willingness to stand behind your products you are nothing. No more Samsung for this family. I found Samsung to be unprofessional in the way this was handled and have complained to the Office of the President without results. Stay away from Samsung.

I moved into a new house on Jan 7 2015. The house came with stainless steel appliances (Brand new). I peeled the stickers from the Samsung stove myself... So I know I was the first user. Used it 4 times, smelled a funny smell but the documents said that its OK to have this smell in the first few times, so I didnt pay much attention.Then... short and I had to reset the breaker. Since then the oven wont pre-heat. Call Samsung and they sent out a nice guy that didnt know what to do. He then called Samsung and had been transferred 2 times to speak to 2 different Samsung reps. The 3rd guy asked him to check behind the stove and look for burned wires. My cool tech told him its a brand new stove. Samsung guy asked him to check... Well... bad wiring almost cost me my sons life, my life, my house and everything I have. My tech got an authorization number from Samsung and said that Samsung will call me within 24-48 hours to schedule a pickup and replacement. So... I waited.4 days later I called Samsung, gave them that number and they transferred me to a different department. The lady told me that she cannot help me without a receipt. I told her that I got the stove with the house and its not about a piece of paper. Its about Samsung selling a faulty equipment, a fire hazard in a shape of an oven.No go... Tried to leave a message on their FB page... the guy told me that he is sorry for my inconvenience (its a gas stove, that burned itself and can kill me... they know about it but still selling it... its not an inconvenience, its simply dangerous to let this company sell products!) - but... I need to get him a receipt for him to ask Samsung to take responsibility for its faulty product. Is there any federal commission that can take my oven and investigate it? Maybe cross it with houses that burned? Its like that GM recall... They KNOW about it but wont do a thing until someone will die, even then they maybe try to cover up before taking real action. My advice to you - Stay away from Samsung products! (Cell Phones, Computers, TVs.. anything). Also, Ive seen some other complaints here. Im going to buy a new stove next week. But if theres a class action going on I would like to be a part of it. If theres none, Im interested in filing one and would like to contact other people who had a similar experience. So, please contact me if you can.

Our Samsung FE-R300SX is 3 years old and we heard a loud pop and saw flames and smoke shooting out the back of the range. The circuit board caught fire. Samsung will not cover any of the expenses. Thankfully we saw it right away and our kitchen did not catch fire. This range should be recalled for safety. My husband and I were headed out the door when we heard the loud pop and saw the flames. We were baking Tater Tots and had the oven timer on. Our son was in his room playing video games and was going to turn off the oven when the timer went off. Our kitchen would have been on fire before he would have noticed a problem. We paid almost $700 for this range on sale and it is only 3 years old. We are very unhappy customers and will never buy anything Samsung again. They didnt even call me back about the problem. They sent an email to say they were sorry it caught fire, but they set me up for an out of warranty repair that I will have to pay for. I called them back and was told that I had no recourse and they would not cover the repair. Even thought there is a 5-year parts warranty, it does not cover the circuit board which caught fire.

Our Samsung DMR77LHW model that we purchased as part of a kitchen renovation some 5 years ago has been a source of frustration for the last 4 years. We had it repaired twice under an extended warranty (thank God!!); the first time just a year after purchase (replaced circuit board) and then again this past winter (entire top rack, door gasket, top rotary washing arm). Between those 2 service calls (and continuing to this day), nothing but poor performance and failing parts: Brittle and broken rack clips, recurring SE error (and now a PE code yesterday!) during normal cycle, cleaned dishes and glasses with odd food particles caked on, very wet items after the drying cycle, etc. We will be replacing this piece of cr*p in the next month because we have endured it long enough. Shame on Samsung for STILL producing such low quality products 5 years after we bought our own. I thought that this manufacturer would improve its appliances based on all this consumer feedback, but apparently Samsung doesnt care about that. So, junk products + poor customer service experience = a company to boycott. Bye bye Samsung. You have lost another client. Not just for dishwashers, but your ENTIRE line of products, I.e., Mobile Devices, TV & Audio, Cameras & Camcorders, PC monitors & Printers, Home Appliances, and Memory/Storage (as per your products list at Samsung.com). You will not get my business again!

Ice start to build up in the bottom of the panel in the back of the freezer
Ice start to build up in the bottom of the panel in the back of the freezer. I had to remove back panel, use hair drier to remove ice and make sure drain was not clogged. Worked fine for about 3 weeks and repeated. Do a lot of research on this problem and called Samsung. Response was that fridge was out of warranty and that any repairs would be at my cost. I insisted of the many reports of problems in the defroster, evaporator, sensors and even faulty tray reported both here and UK and inquired about whether this was an well known problem and if there was some form of solution or repair. Response was that I would be responsible for all repairs and was given closest authorized repair close to 35 miles from home. I tried the forced defrost using control panel buttons, based on technical manual and reports from other people but did not work. Already twice into freezer defrost with hair drier. Fridge also started showing high temperature on panel and blinking, just as had happened to freezer. Assuming some form of dependency between fridge and freezer defrost, I went and defrosted both sides, removing back panels and again made sure drain was not clogged. Today freezer started blinking again. There is a lot of information on the net about issues with this and similar series of this fridge. I cant believe Samsung is and wasnt aware of this defect when also lawsuits exist in the UK for this same issues of defective evaporator, sensors, gaskets, etc.I am done with Samsung. Customer service far from acknowledging problem or offering repair of a known defect simply indicated it is at my cost. I would like to know what is the number of reported cases in this and similar series. I have purchased several Samsung products but this fridge is by far the more costly one. This experience, first on the failure of the product then followed by Samsungs balking and not standing on quality principles and customer satisfaction, made me lose interest in the brand and this will be reflected on all of my future choices, be it computers, wireless, TV, tablets, etc. I am really disappointed and I feel I was sold a defective product, with a known defect and for which the company is not standing up.

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product ever again. BUYER BEWARE. To say I am frustrated and disappointed would be a gross understatement!!! We purchased our Samsung French Door fridge RF31FMEDBSR 3 yrs and 4 months ago. We spent $2200 on it thinking we were buying quality. Boy were we wrong!!! The seal has disintegrated twice, the ice maker works on and off and the shelf on the door came crashing down one morning on my sons foot sending glass jars crashing all over the floor and bruising his foot. I can no longer affix the shelf as the door is torn down to the insulation.I have attempted to get straight answers on this since Dec 21, 2016. I have noted names and dates of people I have spoken to each time. Like many others I was told to contact EEFIX a local authorized repair company to come out and diagnose the problem to the tune of $80. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for that cost once EEFIX uploaded the info on their end. Let the merry-go-round begin.I did everything I was told to do, and all I got was a lot of empty promises and now what seems to be untruths. Fast forward to today, Mr. Derek in Greenville proceeded to tell me that Samsung would do nothing because EEFIX did not leave any documentation. Of course, I called myself, to hear that they couldnt diagnose that the door was defective but broken. HECK!!! I knew that! What did I pay $80 for? Where is my refund? Oh I know Samsung isnt in the business to service just take money for cheap products that they are well aware are having issues. This is my 1st stop, next will be BBB and then small claims court. I will become their worst social media nightmare. All I want is my refund and door fixed.

3 year old refrigerator - junked - $1000 to repair leak. We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator in January 2015 and the first refrigerator delivered had to be replaced because the freezer wasnt cooling after it was delivered. A second refrigerator was delivered and installed. Paid $2100. Now, three years old, there was water pooling under the pantry drawer regularly. Called Samsung for recommendations and replaced the water filter (over $50) and reset the ice -maker with no favorable results. We removed the ice-maker and checked it. Requested repair estimates, which totaled over $900 to replace the parts for the leak. After reading so many negative reviews and issues with repairs on this leak (many were unsuccessful and the leaks continued) we decided to cut our losses and replace this piece of junk. I would never buy a Samsung refrigerator again and would highly recommend anyone considering it. Research reviews from other owners.

No more Samsung products for me!Updated on 12/28/2015: We found only two appliance technicians in our area who would work on a Samsung; one had to come 70 mi. one-way, and the other was Sears. The Sears technician quoted a price of nearly $900 to repair these two problems. We also bought a matching Samsung dishwasher, and although it works, it doesnt clean well, and the door gasket collects food debris and stinks. I have a french door refrigerator, model RF197ACWP, that was purchased 6 years ago. In the past 2 years we have had it worked on for collecting water in the crisper drawers and water and ice on the bottom shelf. We have spent over $600 on repairs and the problem continues. I have read many reviews now with the same issue. Over the past 2 months, through numerous phone calls, I have spent around 4 hours on the phone with Samsung, trying to get some compensation. I have been giving inaccurate information, transferred to the wrong department, hung up on, put on hold and never returned to, been spoken to in a rude way and many other discouraging encounters. It felt as though they were purposefully trying to shake me from pursuing this issue! I have never felt so disrespected by a company. The last thing they told me is that I will be reimbursed part of the cost of the refrigerator, but they have not followed through on any of the steps yet, which they told me would be weeks ago! If you read through the reviews and see the years it has been the same problem. Their response was, We will send a technical out to fix it and you will pay the bill. The problem should be fixed and there should be a recall. Why would anyone invest more money in a piece of JUNK? Next step is a report to the Better Business and to make dealers aware that they are selling faulty products.

Dishwasher never worked well. I complained to Lowes 2 weeks after purchasing but nothing was done. Then the dishwasher stopped working completely. I called Lowes and they had a crew come out twice and try to fix it with no luck. We have been without a dishwasher for over 5 weeks. Lowes said we had to contact Samsung so Samsung could issue a refund back to Lowes. I wonder how much longer that will take?! Another month?

Worst refrigerator EVER! Within a couple of months the bottom plastic piece cracked, there was ice in the bottom of the pull out drawer that froze, and NOW... The entire freezer quit and I lost tons of food! Since it is a dual cooling system my refrigerator section is also warm. I complained to Samsung and was informed that I put a heavy item on the bottom and thats why the plastic cracked. NOT!!! Ive had refrigerators for years and NONE OF THEM EVER CRACKED!!! Even if I did put a 22-pound turkey on it! BOTTOM LINE: PIECE OF CRAP!!! DO NOT BUY! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

My first complaint with my fridge (RF217ACWP) is that the paint on the handles is peeling! I bought this (Samsung French Door Refrigerator) in 2012 and I called them in 2014 after warranty and told me they could not do anything that I would have to buy new ones, each one $230.00. Of course I didnt and they are still peeling!!! It looks like someone just took a hammer to it and chipped it off!! Also the 2nd complaint is freezing in refrigerator underneath vegetable drawers and water in the vegetable bins! Also, the ice maker is broken!! Just like everyone elses complaints! I hope something good comes out of the lawsuit for us consumers!!

All the controls are hidden on the top of the door and would light up. With very bright blue light it looks so futuristic. Love it. Stainless steel, fingerprint Proof, looks so expensive. Highly recommend.

SE error code after 2 years on model SMH9187ST - Well it seems that we are one of many who have reached the magical two year mark with our Samsung microwave. Weve had ours 2 years and 2 months and now have the SE error code and beeping. We unplugged the unit and then plugged it back in with same error showing. Now were just waiting to have it repaired. Well see how that goes. We are amazed at how many people are having this problem and that the company doesnt stand by their product. We also have a Samsung French door refrigerator and are now keeping our fingers crossed on that one (although we did have to have it replaced after the first week because there was a problem with the drawer seal). We have two Samsung TVs as well. After this experience, we dont plan on purchasing any more Samsung products.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA - Due to an older house I needed to get a smaller refrigerator. It was hard to find due to all the constraints, size, height, and how far the doors could open. I was excited to find the Samsung French Door Refrigerator, because it fit with all the space constraints my home required. It was a new model so there wasnt any reviews available. Unlike my previous Samsung French Door, a larger version, that I had 7 years ago, this one makes cloudy ice. I just found out from a Samsung repair tech that this model will not make clear ice due to the way it makes ice. Also, because of some restrictions lifted on companies making refrigerators most newer models make loud noises, according to the research I found on the internet. My model sounds like someone in there is trying to get out by throwing a large rock around. It happens every 6 to 8 hours. It can wake me up from a sound sleep. I thought it was the ice maker, but I have turned it off and it still makes it. Samsung basically has made all kinds of excuses, but they havent done anything about it. Other Pros: Ive only had it since Nov 2014, going on 8 months. It so far, keeps my food cold and my freezer seems to be working fine. It has plenty of space for me. Had I known about the cloudy ice issue I may have looked into buying another brand.

We purchased all 4 appliances from Samsung when we moved into our new home
We purchased all 4 appliances from Samsung when we moved into our new home (Refrigerator, stove, over-the-range microwave, and dishwasher). A package deal from the former Future Shop chain. Total price was just over $4,500 for the stainless steel set. Within one year, things started to fail. The fan on the convection stove stopped one month after the warranty ended. I fixed it myself to the tune of $90. 2 years on, the dishwasher grew louder and louder. The dishes never cleaned 100% perfectly. Eventually we had to wash the dishes when nobody was home (That loud). 36 months after purchase, the refrigerator began to ice up and stopped working. Two repair bills and 2 loads of spoiled food. We gave up on it and had to replace it. Repair bills were $200. Lost groceries were $250. New Frigidaire price? = $2500+. At the anniversary of year 4, the dishwasher quit. Bosch replacement? - $800.Now the microwave. The plastic door hook broke inside. I had to rig the tension spring onto another inside part so it would work. Then the top, plastic grill broke. The screw clips fatigued and split causing the grill to fall. Now the door wont close and the replacement part isnt made anymore. Cost to replace the microwave? - Still looking today (Probably +$500). So there you have it friends. DONT BUY SAMSUNG.

Then a few days later the digital display of the fridge started blinking and the refrigerator side was warm. By the time the tech showed up which was over a week later. The fan had stopped working and I had to get rid of all the food. He replaced the sensor and water line. It has now been a week since then and my fan is starting to make the sound again. I called the tech because his phone number was on the receipt he left me. After the cycle was over and it had cooled to the touch, I was unable to open the door, and the display panel is black and wont operate. The technician told me this happens all the time; he has to install a new thermostat. He has to pull the stove out (it is a drop in so this wont be easy) to unlock the door from the rear of the unit. He advised to NEVER use self-cleaning as this will continue to happen. What a waste of money.

Purchased this Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS in February 2015, several problems occurred during the first year. Three repair visits to the house toward the end of the first year of the warranty. Soap dispenser would not open, etc. Circuit board replaced. Samsung refused to replace this lemon. Now as we come to the end of the second year, problems once again. Error code for leakage. There is no leak, and dishwasher will not operate. It just continues to run the pump. Samsung will no longer fix, claiming it is now out of warranty. The dishwasher lasted less than two years. Unfortunately I used my Lowes credit card, I understand if I would have used VISA, MASTERCARD, etc. they may have automatically covered up to an additional year. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher! This dishwasher is unreliable and Samsung customer service does not stand behind this product.

The ice maker and cooling issues are defects that have been around since 2006. Samsungs customer service is horrible! I bought a Samsung Refrigerator about less than a year ago from HHGREGG. About a month ago, the refrigerator became faulty. There was no cooling in the fridge, however the freezer was working fine. The milk and other perishable items were getting spoiled in the fridge. Immediately I contacted Samsung technical support, they made me reduce the fridge temperature, but that did not help in any way. Finally a ticket was generated and it was given to Dependable Services (Samsung contracts with third party to provide repair and maintenance service) to fix the issue. This is where my nightmare started. After great difficulty I was able to get hold of some customer service person in Dependable Service. Finally they gave me a service technician visit date that was about a week away. On the said date, they called me and said the spare parts did not arrive, so the visit was pushed to next week. After a week of finally waiting, again I got a call from the customer service team saying one of the spare parts was there and other was in someone elses truck. Then they postponed the visit for another week. Now again they called me and left a voice mail (I was not reachable). Immediately I called back when I saw the voice mail in the evening. I was told the ticket was cancelled due to no response (they call a single call no reply from customer is a no response for them). I had to call Samsung and had to get another ticket. After all this hassle, finally the technician arrived at home after more than 3 weeks of complaints, back and forth calling. The technician comes home and says he did not have spare parts (the cooling fan had to be replaced) to fix the fridge. I was shocked. They had postponed the repair for more than 3 weeks giving one reason or another saying they were getting parts from Samsung to repair, and here comes the technician without the parts. The whole thing has been a nightmare. I had to call Samsung customer service many times, and they ask me to talk to dependable service. They are giving me a run around. I regret buying a refrigerator from SAMSUNG, THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am without refrigerator for more than a month now... I would never ever buy any Samsung product ever in my life. I learnt my lesson, will stay away from the name SAMSUNG.

Moved in a new house around 2012, fridge model is RS263TDRS - its a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator that at the time cost at least $2500 cad if bought brand new. Anyways, at the 2-year mark, the fridge started making loud noises and water and ice is building up on the bottom drawer on the fridge side and water would fall out almost everyday, which damaged my hardwood floor. I did some research online and realized it is probably caused my ice build up inside the fridge, and I opened the back part of the fridge and its all frozen inside. Spend hours defrosting the ice with a hair dryer and out everything back in. Everything worked for about a week and water is falling out again. Suddenly the freezer just wont cool and now Im stuck with a barely working fridge.

This series DW80F600 dishwasher showed signs of high temperature heating errors when it was only 10 months old. We called support and were told that it would cost a certain amount ($273.43 to be exact) to have someone come and look at the machine. Just look at it, not fix it! WE went ahead and had them look at the problem and of course, the part needed wasnt under any sort of warranty. Now just over a year old and we are are stuck with a $498.75 bill for a machine that still doesnt work. The error lights came back on the very next day! We could have purchased a brand new dishwasher for much less and gotten much better results. I am warning all who think purchasing this machine, to rethink that plan!! This is the worst dishwasher on the market.

I bought this Samsung refrigerator RSG5FUPN three years ago and today I can testify that it was one of the worst shopping in my life (and I have over 40 years of experience with other refrigerators). It has many defects related to the quality of materials: A long crack (about 40 cm in length) was created in the inner wall of the freezer. At the bottom of the kiosk door, rust (corrosion) was spreading. The doors color faded and yellowed. Internal shelves and covers are broken for no reason (during normal use). Drawers have places where dirt accumulates and cannot be cleaned.

It doesnt clean dishes well at all and leaves chunks of residue after several cycles of cleaning the same load. The repairman said Well, just leave the door open and it wont smell so bad! Really? The oven is constantly setting off our carbon monoxide detector and recently, I thought there was moisture built up on the oven door and when I tried to open it to wipe the glass front it exploded in a thousand fragments of glass everywhere! We purchased this microwave (SMH1987ST) in July 2010 and never had a problem until a month ago. The microwave would just come on by itself randomly, usually in Baked Potato mode. Only opening the door would shut it off. It was terrifying because I had no confidence in leaving home or sleeping at night with it plugged in. I googled this issue and found common complaints of the same nature on many different forums, a good bit of them here. I then called Samsungs customer service line and got the run-around that it was no longer under warranty and theyd send a tech but it was on me. I then posted on their Facebook page with the issue and was told to call back and ask for the Executive Customer Service team. When I did, I got a little pushback on being put through to them but eventually was. I told the Exec team representative the issue, that they knew about it and that there were over 300 complaints on this website alone. That seemed to get their attention. They sent out a tech last week, he ordered the part and came back today and installed a new control board free of charge. He did say he frequently sees this same issue or the one where people get the dreaded SE message and the microwave panel doesnt work at all. My advice is to be firm and use social media to get their attention. They WILL make it right when pressed to do so. I never would have pursued it further had I not seen other posters say that asking for their Legal Dept. or mentioning the bad reviews got them satisfaction.
