3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.

In July 2012, we had to buy a new refrigerator because the compressor on the old one died. We usually buy appliances from Best Buy but now appliances have been taken over by Pacific Sales. We got their cheap extended warranty and, to this day, the ice maker has failed to function properly. Warranty was called and out of the 4 times, they paid 3 and the last one I had to fight the warranty company (Warren Tech the worst company to deal with) because I kept saying that the ice maker isnt functioning properly because every month the ice builds up and no ice comes out. Samsung will not even help because the manufacturers warranty is over and the problem is now the warranty companys problem. If anyone else has had a problem with their Samsung ice maker please tell us what we could do to have the ice maker function the way it should.

We bought a French door, bottom freezer, Samsung refrigerator in 2012. In 2015 it quit making ice. I replaced the ice maker. In less than 2 years that ice maker quit. I called Samsung. They said they could not do anything because the refrigerator was too far out of warranty. A $2000.00 refrigerator should not require ice maker replacement every 2 or so years. I WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION, AND DO THE SAME!

4 years ago we bought a Samsung French door fridge from the local Best Buy store. This summer the fridge started making loud noises like a fan rubbing at speed. Turns out it was due to ice build up on the back wall of the fridge compartment. We moved the contents to the 20 year old Amana fridge in the garage and defrosted the Samsung for the weekend. less than a week later it was all iced up again. Since Best Buy requires all our personal information just to talk to someone about how much it will cost to have a tech come out and service the fridge, we contacted a local repair shop and they said its a known problem and that the Samsung repair doesnt work so they were reluctant to even schedule a tech.A week later the water dispenser button broke and while trying to fix that we noticed the 800 number for Samsung. I called them and a very pleasant fellow after reviewing the photos I sent issued a one time free repair service. #**. 24 hours later they call to say there are no available service providers within a hundred miles. They suggest I call Samsung appliance service who tell me since its not the ice maker they wont repair it and I should just call a repair service on my own dime.So I have a Samsung fridge that ices up and is causing food to spoil. Up to a quart of water collects under the Cool Select Pantry tray, that is also cracked. A broken water dispenser and an all-round piece of junk for a fridge backed up buy a we dont give a darn manufacturer. Wish we had read the reviews before we bought this because like so many others I will NEVER recommend a Samsung appliance. Bad design and worse service. The Samsung experience.

After paying for months for a new refrigerator, which was over $2,500, which is a lot of money to me, after about a year, it started making a noise. I called Samsung for them to tell me that a service tech would come out, but that was not covered under warranty and I did not buy the extended warranty. Well, after I spent that much money, I didnt think I needed to spend additional amount for an extended warranty. Was I wrong? Another $300 for some 18-year-old kid to just switch out a motor. Here we are 11 months later with the same problem, mainly because the first technician didnt fix it right the first time. It constantly freezes up, and water is under the vegetables bins. What a lemon. People, do your homework and never buy a Samsung refrigerator! This one had the ice and water on the outside and the French doors. I was really upgrading, and I had to make payments. Samsung couldn’t care less!

I purchased a NEW Samsung dishwasher DW8OJ 302045-AC from a clearance centre on July 4/15. I had it installed, July 12th. By July 25th, it would not operate. July 29th I reported it to the Samsung service centre. It was transferred to a local appliance centre who ordered parts, and Sept. 7th, two electronic panels were replaced. It created a new problem. Now Samsung wants me to disconnect it, and they will pick it up, and after 2-3 weeks refund my money. They acknowledge that their product is defective but refuse to replace it or compensate me for the installation or disconnection or inconvenience.By the time I receive my refund, I will have owned this inferior product for almost 4 months and used it only 5 times. Never buy a Samsung dishwasher - this is not an isolated incident. Read the other negative reviews. The Samsung service department is located in eastern Canada. You can e-mail but good luck reaching them in the afternoons. QUALITY CONTROL AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO SAMSUNG!

I bought my Samsung refrig in 2011 from Lowes and it needed repairs 3 times. First the control panel on door did not work. Second time it was a coil for the defrost. Third time it was a new motherboard. Now this is the fourth time and its doing the same thing. This item cost around $3000. I have lost thousands in food and waited weeks for parts. I want this to be replaced! Im at my wits end. Next step is BBB. I did buy the extended warranty from Lowes, but it will expire in January and then Im stuck with a lemon. Samsung, stick to tvs.

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

I have the same model as listed here. Ice maker started acting up about 16 months after purchase. Started with freeze up and no ice production. Best Buys Geek Squad repaired it and it worked OK for about four weeks and then it turned into a slush maker. Currently Geek Squad is in route with all new parts to rebuild it again. I really feel like its going to be a lemon of a refrigerator. Apparently all the new Samsung models the ice maker is now down in the freezer compartment. Weve had our Samsung microwave for almost 3 years and we dont usually use it as wed rather use gas to cook or heat food than use the microwave. So far, its okay and its working for its function although the self-cleaning feature does not work well. The manual that comes along with it says the self-cleaning feature can help eliminate the odor but it doesnt seem to be working. We have to use conventional methods like using baking soda to eliminate odor trapped in the microwave... I wont really recommend Samsung microwaves if you have other and better choices.

I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Stee
I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Steel (SES). Immediately it was evident the ice maker was defective. Problems included no full size ice cubes, leaking constantly and requiring manual defrost and reset whenever door was left open more than a few seconds, for example if loading a large grocery order. It took quite a while for SES to respond to my concern. The repairman Samsung sent, while under warranty, pierced the mechanism with an ice pick, left in anger, and it took months to receive a replacement part and installation. Problem unsolved. I then went back through SES who took so long to get a repair request to Samsung, the warranty expired. Samsung did make the concession of sending out a repairman who said this model was known for its leaky ice maker, there was nothing he could do and to call the company periodically as it should soon be covered by a recall. I called every 4-6 months for over a year and a half to be told each time Samsung was aware of the problem and there was no remedy. Finally, the ice maker stopped working all together. I then called Sears Repair. The workman told me that this model was being replaced for any Sears customer with a long-term contract because Samsung was so unresponsive regarding the ice maker defects. He told me class action suits were pending. He did order a new motor. The second Sears technician who showed up to replace the $392 part told me it was a upgraded part for the ice maker. All problems resolved! So if Samsung knew about the problem and upgraded its ice maker motor, why wasnt it covered as part of a recall. And why, in all the calls and queries I made was I not told that upgraded replacement parts were available. And finally since this part solved the problem reported while under warranty, why isnt at least the cost of the part covered? Total repair was $600. I am asking for cost of the part. So far it has fallen on deaf ears at 1-800 SAMSUNG I am awaiting a supervisors supervisor call back. Wish me luck. Otherwise the fridge seems well designed and working well.

We purchased a stainless steel Samsung Refrigerator Model No. RF217** in December of 2010. Today was the fourth time weve had to have it repaired for the same problem: standing water in the produce drawers with water and ice below them. The repair in 2013 required replacing a part which took several days to come in and, including labor, cost us a couple of hundred dollars to have done. The other three repairs cost about $100 each. This was an expensive refrigerator and it just galls me that Samsung wont stand behind their product! The first failure happened exactly two days after the one-year warranty expired so Samsung would do nothing. We didnt buy an extended warranty because we generally dont believe in them - big mistake - with Samsung believe in them! Not only is this all very expensive, but having to completely empty the contents of the fridge and freezer 24 hours before the service call so it can defrost is a royal pain in the petoot! What does it take to get a class action suit against Samsung? We bought a Samsung stainless steel dishwasher the same day we bought the refrigerator. I dont like it either. It never completely dries the dishes. We will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!

Was beginning to think this was a pretty good refrigerator, side by side model RS263TDWP. My previous refrigerator lasted at least 12 years, was also purchased at Sears, and was a Kenmore side-by-side. My husband is an A/C Tech...he was able to figure out almost immediately that behind the panel on the refrigeration side (freezer was working perfectly throughout all this) that the evaporative fan motor had gone out. After only two years!! These units should be working without problems for at least 8 to 10 years, even in the modern days of refrigerators being built with a computer brain to run them. We bought the part, he had it in within 5 minutes (which I know is lucky for me, but most people have to pay hundreds of dollars for parts and repair, not to mention the wait time for them to actually get there). But I must mention, when he was looking on Youtube for videos to guide the repair, there were many complaints of this same thing (on the internet) happening to other Samsung refrigerators. This is a middle of the line refrigerator, not a cheap one, and I was under the impression if you pay $1,600 for a fridge that it might actually last longer than two years! Very disappointed...would NOT recommend any Samsung refrigerators, because though they are beautiful to look at, you will more than likely be sorry (if you must have one, I would recommend the extended warranty!).

I have a Samsung fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Everything works great except the dishwasher. It looks great from the outside. The control panel is on the top of the door, giving it a sleek look. However, it does a terrible job washing dishes. Dishes on the bottom and top racks both come out sticky with grime. If there are any food particles on a dish, this dishwasher will ensure that ALL the dishes are now covered in food. The dishwasher is also really, really, really slow. The cycle time is probably close to two hours. Anyway, Im happy with my other Samsung appliances, but buying a new dishwasher is high on my priority list. Dont buy a Samsung dishwasher. They suck. We use ours primarily as a drying rack for when I hand wash the dishes.

I wrote in to request a refund on my unit, something I found they were providing to many others in my identical situation. Not only did they say no, but when I asked for the name/number of a manager or supervisor I was told there werent any for me to speak to. The unit I have has well know defects for which there are no solutions. Ice freezing on the coils, under the crisper, and water leaking on the floor under and around the unit. Refunds have been given to many others with products -some even older than mine. Samsung has had these issues for many years, in fact ConsumerAffairs published a report in 2009 which speaks to these issues, obviously still ongoing. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/08/samsung_settlement.html#It is unfortunate that Samsung has not improved the product, it is also unfortunate and regrettable that they wont apply the same level of service and attention to each case. Seeing so many others who have attained refunds (even posting pictures of the checks) while I am repeatedly told no is disheartening. I will do a lot of research and think very carefully before buying another Samsung product and I would strongly suggest others do the same, regardless of price/discount.Bill **

Dishwasher given as a gift. It cleans better than my old one which did not have storm wash or sanitizer or delayed wash. The control dials positioned on inside of door are easy to clean. I like the section on lower rack that cleans off dirtiest dishes. The slots in basket hold silverware in place or you can open up for larger utensils. The top rack has 2 areas designed to hold any light dish in place. The rack slots for placement of dishes are angled so bowls are difficult to load. We dont use that much ice. The service man said it would take 7 days for part and I would have to turn off refrigerator and leave door open for 24 hours. Well 3 weeks later no call. He was late the first appointment. I had to call Samsung so they could find out if he was coming. I asked him how to take the glass out to clean. He said he wouldnt because it would break. So I called Samsung again and said I cant ever clean my refrigerator. After a long wait and them trying to figure it out and talking to supervisor they said they would send me an email with pictures and instructions how to remove without breaking. They said the insurance would cover drawer but not glass. So waited for email and of course never got it. So after 3 holidays with no ice maker I will call Samsung again. Still cant clean all of it. Unfortunately, I fell in love with its center drawer and purchased a 4-door Samsung Refrigerator Freezer 3 and a half years ago, for $3200.00, without doing proper research. The model is RF24FSEDBSR and was manufactured in Sept of 2014. I still love the center drawer, but it is not enough to make up for the rest of the appliance. This is a prime example of a company that thinks highly of itself but doesnt care that it sells absolute junk. The number of problems and repairs for the ice maker, add up to this being the worst purchase I have ever made and that is saying something. I have put up with months and months of temporary fixes, thawing with hairdryers, mopping up pooling water on the floor of the refrigerator section and just doing without ice.Recently, I have had 3 service calls for the ice maker. The ice maker freezes solid and wont dispense ice. Then, I need to move all my refrigerated food to a cooler and my frozen food to the outside freezer; turn off the entire unit for 2 days, with both doors propped open; and put an air circulator/warmer inside, just so the repairman can pry the completely frozen icemaker out without cracking the wall of the refrigerator. On the last service call, he replaced the entire ice maker for about $550.00. My total out of pocket for repairs and service is about $850.00. I fully expect that amount to grow. Now, it sort of works, but makes very little ice, (which will not be enough with summer coming).I cannot get cubed ice, just crushed ice; there is water dripping down the front of the refrigerator and it is a constant source of aggravation. Samsung wasnt sympathetic or helpful when I talked with them, and they suggested that I should have purchased their 5-year Samsung Service Agreement for $1750.00 when I had a chance. Really? They were supposed to call me back (within 24 hours) 10 months ago, and Im still waiting. Complete waste of time, money, effort, energy and resources. Do not ever buy a Samsung refrigerator because they are expensive junk, was the advice of my repair person, who has owned an appliance repair business for many years. I could have saved myself lots of frustration, and money, if I had done my research.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 02/2017. We are now waiting the third time to have it fixed. The major board that controls everything freezes up. We lose all the food. This time it will take 10 days to get the replacement part. We did get the protection plan but the company that fixes the refrigerator never has the parts. It has to break four times with exactly the same problem before they will replace. It is only 2 years old and cost $2500.00. NEVER will we ever buy a Samsung again. Why havent these been taken off the market?

I have a Samsung dishwasher that smells horribly. It has from day one. I thought it must be my plumbing or drains so I have spent $700 on plumbers only for them to find nothing wrong except my dishwasher is junk and stinks! Customer service went around in circles telling me to clean it when I have already cleaned it in every way possible and with everything known to man! I took the whole thing apart and uninstalled it and nothing helps. Samsung wont do anything about it. It is under 1 year old.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!

About 6 months after purchasing and installing our OTR Samsung microwave, the popcorn setting began to burn up the bags of popcorn so we quit using that setting. Then roughly 8 months later (and after the warranty ran out) our microwave started to turn itself off and give an SE error message. After doing this for three or four times, the front panel just went out and never came back on regardless of our attempts to revive it.I went online and began to research the problem and it is very obvious that this is an inherent problem with Samsung OTR microwaves despite their previous top rating. And most of the reports state that the replacement costs are prohibitive and the replacement parts also malfunction. Now we are stuck with a $350.00 piece of junk and it is not even 1 1/2 years since the purchase! Planned obsolescence? I bought this microwave because it was highly rated and because it matched my other Samsung kitchen appliances. Oh well, I cant get my money back and it doesnt make any sense to repair it - so it goes to the landfill. Ridiculous! I wont buy another one, but I do wish that everyone knew about the issues with these microwaves prior to even considering this brand of microwave oven, especially because this is an ongoing problem and Samsung is well aware of it.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

I liked the looks and of course price. But I found it very hard to clean. Shelves didn’t come out easily. It had a leak, never could figure out where. But it would run under pans. Then freeze. It had to be defrosted twice a week. When there was a power surge, or outage. The refrigerator would turn off. It had to be pulled out from wall. Unplugged for a couple minutes then reset. I never knew when it would shut off.

Ice Maker not working- Refrigerator not staying cold: Already had a tech out to repair the ice maker and the refrigerator and he replaced the ice maker and the back panel on the refrigerator with the two cooling fans. Less than two weeks later and we are experiencing the exact same issues as if nothing had been fixed. On doing research I discovered that this is a known issue and that Samsung used to replace the refrigerators with new ones, but that obviously got too expensive to continue. So now if you are out of warranty you are out of luck! Never buying a Samsung appliance again.

I purchased my dishwasher and had it installed. After two washes the washer started leaking. We called customer service and after many attempts of scheduling and cancelling because theyre too stupid to confirm an appoint or called the correct number, they came. The technician told us that the panel was not sealed properly and that he would come back and get it fixed or would replace with a new one. The following appointment attempt, they called on me at the very last min and asked to come another. They told me 10:30-11:30 but instead came at 5pm. Another technician came this time but instead of fixing it, he blamed on the height adjustment screw removal and thats why the washer was leaking. What kind of ridiculous excuse is that because its not even related!? They refuse to fix my washer but what kind of crap machine breaks after two washes? Reassure that I will never buy a Samsung product again. I would make sure to make everyone knows about this. I would rather buy LG or GE instead of this crappy, poor service Samsung brand!

Samsung Counter Depth Smart French Door Refrigerator - We purchased our refrigerator in February of 2017. The icemaker performs terribly. This is definitely not a family refrigerator. The icemaker does not even produce enough ice for just the two of us. Sometimes it does not produce any ice at all for no apparent reason. There are other times when it is just slow. It is simply not consistent. The best way to make sure you have ice with this refrigerator is to use ice trays. I can have 16 cubes of ice per tray in 30 minutes as opposed to waiting hours if I depend on the ice maker. I would not purchase this refrigerator again if I could go back and do this all over again.

I wrote a review earlier this month and I had my 1 ½ yr old Samsung RF217 French Door replaced with the SAME MODEL to give Samsung a chance to redeem themselves. I received the new fridge on September 12, 2013. The installation process was horrible and I will address that with the retail company in person. Anyhow, instead of the Fridge portion being too warm like the RF217 part 1, now RF217 part 2 is an overactive FREEZER. Please note I DO NOT use the ice maker, I have that feature turned off, But for some reason I have snow cones being made in my freezer and I cannot open the top drawer as it is FROZEN SHUT. The installers set it up per manufacturer direction temperatures -2 freezer and 38 for the Fridge. Consumer ignorance?? I think not. Samsung Corp. you make a horrific product and I will be pleading with the store that I bought it from to give me back my money in full so I can go back to my normal life. I cannot and will not eat out for another week, month or year because my $1500 refrigerator does not work properly. And just so we are clear, ALL THREE OF MY SAMSUNG Refrigerators were BRAND NEW. ALL THREE WERE FAULTY. I hope this is clear enough that three times is not a charm. In addition to the bad manufacturing, the delivery service managed to deliver a scratched left front French door, left all the packaging inside, dumped about a gallon of water onto my Laminate Floor which I had to personally dive to the ground with bathroom towels because the water would absolutely ruin the floor and they SCRATCHED the side and front of my BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE, and then denied the damage. I was literally standing right there during the entire install. Hello I was the one cleaning up the water so of course they scratched it. My towel sure didnt. Anyhow, bad product, bad service, and subpar customer service equals the end of customer loyalty to Samsung. Samsung get out of the appliance business.

I called Samsung repair service, was told the service center cancelled my appointment after I took the day off work. Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Fridge is 23 months old. Started making a loud racket when opening door, stops then when door closed starts up again. Drive one nuts as really really loud. Then it stopped after a few hours of off and on. Suddenly the temps on front (digital readouts) started flashing? Book said pull power plug, wait ten minutes, then plug back in. Did so, and the temps just climbed up...was up to 69 degrees F in Fridge and up in Freezer as well. Left it sit for a while, called Samsung Cust. service (if you can call it that). They asked a few questions and then said, Oh, you have a ONE year warranty, sorry. I said WHOA --- there is three years on SOME parts and TEN YEARS on compressor. Do YOU know exactly what is wrong? They then said, wait one minute --- then came back and said, WE HAVE NO ONE IN YOUR AREA THAT IS A SAMSUNG REP. --- so sorry, you may want to call your own repair person (response came via e mail). I drove eight miles to HOME DEPOT where we bought the fridge (for nearly two thousand dollars) and the woman there got on the phone to Samsung on my behalf. After a long wait, she was told I would be getting a call in the next TWO days to schedule a tech to look at the refrigerator. So far, no call. All of a sudden, the fridge began to cool OK again... Maybe sounds like a computer board??? Still waiting for a call. I would never buy another Samsung, after getting the comments from the southern gal at Customer Service. I did finally speak to a supervisor (Shawn) who said, Oh, we have a guy that can check it out north of you... and gave me his number. I called the number --- voice said, the voicemail box for this number is FULL -- good bye. Whole episode is a JOKE and I have spent two + hours on the phone PLUS driving to Home Depot. I will avoid ANY SAMSUNG product after this response!!!

I have had my Samsung 9187 for about 4 years and yesterday the thing just kept beeping and then finally displayed the dreaded SE code. After some quick googling, I found a site which offered a solution. I just finished it up and the microwave works again like new. So here it is: Over time, condensation will make two pieces of the ribbon cable stuck together, causing short circuit. The solution is to separate the pieces and put a piece of paper in between. First you need to access the control panel by unscrewing the top grill of the microwave. After removing the top grill, you will see a screw holding the control panel to the oven. Just unscrew that one and remove the control panel. You will then see the ribbon cable. Inspect whether it is folded and the two sides are stuck. If yes, just separate them and put a piece of paper in-between. Its really that simple, put the paper between the two sides of the ribbon found inside the control panel. Hope this helps.

I bought a Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave from Lowes in February 2010. I just found out I need the keypad replaced. The warranty ran out in February. I called Samsung and they said there is nothing they can do because the warranty has expired. They have already been out once while the microwave was still under warranty. The cost of the repair is about $260. I tried to explain to them that even though the microwave is no longer under warranty, I would think a $400 microwave would last longer than 18 months. She said I am eligible for a new one if they have to fix the same issue twice within a year. That doesnt really matter to me since I would have to pay to have it fixed twice. She didnt understand this concept and could not get past the fact that the warranty had expired. Now I have 2 options: get it fixed or buy a new one. I would just like for a company for once to stand behind their product. I dont think an 18 month life expectancy is what they had in mind. Especially since the last cheap microwave I had lasted 15 years without incident.

Happened again - replaced a part. Happened again. You get the picture. Sent a complaint directly to Samsung in May 2018 requesting replacement of faulty machine (Dishwasher 80M9 series). Was told they had only received ONE repair notice from us (we had logged in SEVEN at that point - since WE hadnt paid for any of the service calls, I have to assume Samsung did!). They sent someone out to repair AGAIN. Happened again in June. JUST had repair here to replace two parts - he was 5 minutes away from the house and it happened yet again. I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016.
I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016. Mid July I noticed my fridge temp blinking. Got the manual to reset and it stated that because the temp has been changed it would take a moment for the blinking to stop. So, left it alone and when I awoke no more blinking. Two days later, July 18, 2016 the refrigerator temp is blinking again. This time I make a call to Samsung but now the now is set and no longer blinking; two days later after this it starts to blink again and I make a call to Samsung again on July 20, 2016. Im told to unplug or disconnect the power from the unit; I do this but when plugged in 2-3 minutes later the blinking has stopped but now my temp for the refrigerator is reading 61 degrees Fahrenheit. I give this info to the customer service rep who tells me that this is okay and that the temp will drop and to use the fast cool function. Now I got my first service call number on the 18th and at that time provided all the necessary information to the representative. On the 20th I asked if a new service call number would be given and was told that it wasnt necessary, the first service number was still valid. Anyway, the following morning the refrigerator is still reading 61 degrees. I call Samsung customer service on July 21, 2016, give this customer service rep the whole story from beginning to end only to be asked for the serial & model numbers. This info should have been in my file as it was given on July 18th. Anyway, once this info is provided again this individual wants to send me through all the troubleshooting steps I have already taken. When I explain that these things have already been completed with no resolution he wants to tell me that I will be responsible for charges if a technician is sent out. To say the least I explain once again to this individual that the troubleshooting has already taken place and it didnt work and I need a technician. He complies but now it will take 24-48 hours before I will be contacted. Was contacted by the service tech on Sunday evening that I had to be available between the hours of 12pm to 3pm. I get a call that the tech is running late and will arrive after 3pm. He arrives & checks out the unit. He turns to me and states that I need a new compressor. He goes on to say that this is a regular problem with this particular unit. The part has to be ordered and will take approximately 3-5 days for delivery and then they will contact me for repairs. My question is has anyone else had this problem? Is there a recall? Again, the technician stated that this is a common problem. I purchased my appliances at hhgregg and got the whole suite to include dishwasher, range & microwave. Was told that this was the top of the line appliance package. I also have Samsung washer & dryer (Home Depot). Did a little research prior to purchase but mostly price comparison but I apparently missed this site. Had I read all these reviews prior I would not have purchased all these Samsung appliances. Praying that my products dont fail but will definitely obtain some type of extended warranty to protect myself. It wont be Samsung.

We have bought Samsung electronics for many years. In 2011 we bought all new kitchen appliances, top of the line Samsung. It is now 5 years later 2016 and we have a dishwasher that needs a new motor, the most expensive part approx $600.00. Now our fridge has leaked from the water dispenser and flooded our kitchen twice. It just starts pouring by itself. Of course this happened while we were not home and then again during the night. We thought the first time may have been a fluke but it was not. The electronics on the door stopped working. The replacement part at $400.00 did not work. We also have a leak inside from one of the vents in the back that leaks down the back and pools under the crispers. The tech at this point is not sure what is wrong with it. He now suspects the motherboard. The leak inside will require the whole inside back of the fridge being replaced. These repairs are going to make it not worth fixing. Of course Samsung says Im sorry there is only a 1 year warranty. They will do NOTHING. The appliances are barely 5 years old. How can they possibly not stand behind their products with problems such as this? We all know appliances last many many years with no problems. The tech we are using used to be a Samsung tech and reported how hard they make it to be a tech. The techs even complain about Samsung. I gave 1 star because you have to put something there but I feel less than zero. We will never buy Samsung appliances again. We also will question any further Samsung electronics. We spend so much money on Samsung from cell phones, tablets, tvs, etc. you would think they would do something to help us out. This is the thanks we get for being loyal customers for many years. We now have to buy a new fridge that will be around $2k if we are lucky. The dishwasher will have to be replaced. We have not had trouble out of the range or microwave yet, we hope we dont! What a way to have to spend your hard earned money. Again, we will never buy Samsung appliances again. Be careful because we have a Kenmore washing machine that is made by Samsung. Kenmore is not Kenmore any more. All you have to do is ask Sears, they will tell you. The appliance brands today are not what they say, you have to ask what company made the appliance. I have a beach property that I have recently bought a dishwasher, range, hot water heater and AC. The company I purchased the different items from say that there are a few manufacturers and then a name goes on the same thing with a few differences. Buyer beware!

We bought the Samsung Electric Convection Range from QVC in 2013 Model#FTQ3531WUX. It appears this was a 2012 Model we received. Stove seemed nice looking, burners & warming drawer worked great. The oven always seemed to heat slow and I felt the Convection wasnt quicker than regular oven. I really did not know about convection until my in-law said his Maytag convection was very fast cooking. So after going 2 years the oven decided to not heat anymore with an E-08 code. Called Samsung and of course they want you to disconnect power like thats a fix all. Nope. So they offer a name of repair person. Long story short, I paid $100 for the guy to come and tell me that it will cost another $500 for a motherboard! And I didnt even mention all the crude that has gotten between the glass doors that you cannot get out! My old Hot Point stove worked better and longer than this one! I have read all the same problems as mine and even explosions! Wish some attorney would start a class action suit! Do not buy it is junk!

Thankfully I bought an extended warranty on my range because the 2nd time I used the self-cleaning mode ON THE DEFAULT SETTING, the control panel melted and the oven door would not open. It took weeks to get the replacement part with Sears Outlet calling and emailing scheduled appointment times that had not been cleared by me. But never mind the repair guy that is employed by Sears told me the part had not showed up on his doorstep yet. However, during 9 different calls over several hours during a 2 month time frame, Sears told me repair guy did not follow protocol so that caused delays. Of course when I told repair guy that he said they always try to pass blame. The 3 times repair guy came to my house he refused to give me any paperwork documenting his repair. He also told me never to use the self-clean mode. What? Why is it there? THEN the oven would not heat up to temperature, actually would only get to 100 degrees less, so the process started over again with repair guys BS and blaming Sears, all sorts of ridiculous information from both sides with promises NEVER being met. He finally installed a new thermometer and it still doesnt heat to temperature so I have to program it 25 degrees higher and wait 45 minutes longer than what the alert and temperature says on the control panel. In an argument with repair guy in my kitchen over my unreasonable expectation to have purchased a functioning product he accused me of only wanting to get a new oven. Imagine the gall of me actually expecting to have purchased a functioning product by a supposedly reliable name like Samsung. I am 71 years old and am old enough to know, from experience, what good customer service is. Repair guy is a grey hair and should know that too. But he is perfectly employed by a sub-standard company selling a very inferior product. And, although promised by his wife on one call, and his daughter on another, that I would get service orders and documentation emailed to me, it has never happened. What a waste of time and money, not to mention having to play stupid passive-aggressive games with a low in standards repair person. I am now afraid of fire after reading the rest of the reviews. Im surprised that Samsung hasnt been sued and ovens have not been recalled. I mean really surprised. My oven is barely 2 years old. In any other electrical stove/oven I have ever owned I have NEVER had a problem with self-clean.

RF266ABPN - Wrote a complaint on here in August 2013 about our Samsung 2-door fridge which kept pooling water and the back inside kept freezing with frost. We spent so much time always removing items, defrosting, scooping out water, etc. etc. UPDATE!! Finally hubby was able to fix problem himself. We have had no problems for 2+ years. He turned off energy saver mode and put paper clips in the drain tubes located at the bottom back of fridge to keep them open. They are used as spacers so probably any similar item would work. We are still not sure if the energy saver turnoff or paper clips did the trick but... after countless repairman and useless Samsung, just wanted to report what worked for us! No problems for 2+ years! I weirdly got a reminder about this review so came here and saw still horrific reviews... Hope this helps at least one person!Updated on 08/11/2018: We officially gave up on this refrigerator and brand in 2016. Our original problem (freezing/icing over) came back in full force, freezing, motoring, water pooling, even after my husband was able to temporarily fix it. Bottomline: We took it to the dump, This model is severely flawed.

We finally got an energy efficient washer. We weren’t used to no agitator but googled the difference. The newer washers push water through the clothes vs the old way of pushing the clothes through the water. It fills with only a fraction of water estimated by the weight of the articles. That scared us at first as it didn’t seem to add enough water to possibly wash clothes and get them clean. After more researching and doing loads of laundry. This Samsung has gotten the clothes much cleaner. I don’t like how it takes longer to wash clothes with these machines but it is what it is. The machine is very quiet vs our old ones. We no longer have to shut our laundry room door. We forget it’s even going until it plays a song when done.

We my husband and I purchase a Samsung 30.2 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerato
We my husband and I purchase a Samsung 30.2 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator in Stainless online at Home Depot. We called Home Depot with our problem. These are your vendors HOME DEPOT. I am looking for an end-to-end solution. Home Depot told us to call Samsung service, been dealing with Samsung customer service and CEO. Contacted Samsung after several phone calls. They set us up with one of their contractors. The repair person said (FIRST TECH) the freezer door was defective, cant repair...unrepairable. We called Samsung again, told them what tech said. Samsung told us they have to wait for the tech report. The end of the day tech # 1 called us, told us Samsung want him to come over and saw my freezer door in half and unplug the refrigerator. We asked what about our food. His response was Samsung tech told him it wasnt their problem. We called Samsung again, told them that wasnt the right thing to do. They send another Tech. The second Tech gave us the same report as the # 1 Tech did, the freezer door was defective cant repair...unrepairable.We called Samsung again. NO HELP, NO RESOLUTIONS. Again they send yet a 3 Tech. He gave us the same report which we were told already by techs #1, #2. Technician # 3 JOE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH SAMSUNG TECH ARGUING BACK AND FORTH ABOUT THE SITUATION, because JOE was more concern about us the customer. The Tech spoke to a Samsung tech man who told him to saw my freezer door in half and to order a door to replace the entire door. He began to tell us that I needed to schedule another appointment and that the parts should be coming to my home.According to what I have been told over and over, your techs will make every attempt to fix the problem before a replacement freezer is offered. OK, you have not fixed the problem and your tech told me and my husband he cant guarantee he can fix it. Cant repair...unrepairable, which is what I already was told by techs #1, #2, and #3. Lets get to the nitty gritty. Since I have been unnecessarily inconvenienced, lied to on a regular basis, and am still not sure I have a reliable refrigerator heres what I want:1. A new refrigerator, it would be appreciative. Because this one even repaired a month old refrigerator that cost $27,000, its like used (a refurbished refrigerator). If I wanted a used one I would have bought it for less money... Your technicians stated. The freezer door was defective.2. Reimbursement for my approximately $500 in meats and food Im going to lose, once they saw through my freezer door. Its going to be flames and debris everywhere. You have failed to provide me with the prompt, reliable service from expert technicians. I have been told over and over that I will not get a new refrigerator unless my 1 month old refrigerator is unrepairable. It appears it is unrepairable based on the report of your 3 technicians. A reputable company would admit that a 1 month old Refrigerator that has serious door problems is faulty and would replace the unit. This is horrible! Very disappointed Samsung not stand behind their products and customer.

We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator in 2010 and since buying it, we have had problems with the ice maker spilling ice all over my floor every time you use the ice maker. The ice maker bin is too small and does not fit a family of 4 at all. My recent encounter is now, it doesnt defrost so I have to take it apart and use my hair dryer to melt the ice. We found that you have to take it off energy saver mode so that it will defrost. Samsung suggests we dont pack it very much. Amazing! Why did I buy it in the first place? I wanted energy saver, enough space to handle my large family but this is by design. Im very disappointed not to have read reviews first.

We bought our Samsung Refrigerator less than 2 years ago and we have had problem with the refrigerator since. Constantly having to defrost the unit manually because it freezes up and finally, 3 weeks ago we starting having a noxious burning smell come from fridge. Although Samsung did extend our warranty past the 12 months, since we have had multiple issues, they could not find the root of the smell after 2 service calls. The last service rep called Samsung and they said that their refrigerators do not emit smells. Well according to both of the service reps, it certainly did. The last one said it even left a bad taste in his mouth after working in the fridge for a little while. A $2000+ refrigerator that didnt even last 2 years. I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator model RF23HCEDTSR from Lowes on 8/22/15. Two years later on 9/25/17 my refrigerator is freezing all my food. Tech said that the control board is bad therefore the fridge is running continuously. The part was ordered and has NOT come in after 7 weeks and Ive been told that its on a National backorder waiting for the mfg to produce the part. It appears Samsung has a full defect on this board and it should be recalled and replaced at no charge. If the part were even available it would cost me $389.00 to replace/repair but after reading all the horrible reviews and money spent trying to repair the fridge it may be wise just to trash it and buy a GE or Whirlpool that can at least be repaired if needed. Not happy that Lowes would sell a product that clearly has major issues.

We bought this nice new French door refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes. Fast forward to 2011, we were moving and out of town. We came home to a refrigerator that had quit cooling. It was running but not cooling and there were loads of flies. Aside from being very ticked off, we cleaned it out, lost several hundreds of dollars in food. We have contacted Lowes several times and they cannot find the sale which doesnt matter; it has a sticker on it showing the mfg date. We live in a very rural area. Twice now, Lowes has been contacted about finding a service person and they would get back to us and never do. We were told by an appliance company here locally that this is the normal life of Samsung refrigerators, and Im finding this to be true. Anybody looking at more class action suits against them? There have been at least one due to them knowingly selling appliances with bad compressors from what I have read.

This dishwasher dw80j7550ug is a real work of crap. I only saw the reviews too late to see how bad it is. It doesnt clean your dishes. It stinks all the time you open it. Even empty. It doesnt dry your dishes. Samsung says open the door to air dry the dishes. I have to rinse the dishes off extra good. I paid 700 dollars for a dishwasher that I practically have to wash the dishes before I put them in it. Air dry my dishes... I might as well wash them and put them on the counter. Samsung sends repairmen out that say everything is working according to their specs. Dont buy this or any Samsung product. They are the lowest rated dishwashers on the market. We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong with the excellent service we received at time of sale. Installed the units in our new kitchen. At 11 months the dishwasher dumped large amounts of water on the floor during wash cycle. Finally got a technician to come and look at it. Samsungs support for him over the phone was pathetic. Between him and I we finally figured out the problem lies in a poorly designed tub vapor venting system. I have to regularly remove this silly valve and clean it. Just poor design. Now that the unit is 4 years old the drying fan motor vibrates. I removed it from the machine and tested it on the bench. It is not noisy outside of the machine but whines loudly when reinstalled. Fortunately I am a mechanic by trade and disassembling this machine is not a challenge for me. I sympathize with the consumer who has to wait long periods to get an overpriced repairman to come to the house. Further my wife has complained from day one about the poor cleaning ability of this machine. We will replace it eventually. It will NOT be Samsung.

My refrigerator stopped working on 11-19-11. There was a lot of water on the floor and the refrigerator and freezer were both warm. I contacted Sears and was advised that someone would be out on 11-21-11 to repair. That did not happen. I called Sears again and a repair technician came out on 11-22-11. Said he replaced a filter and recharged with coolant. Told me should be cold in a couple of hours. At 4pm, it was still warm. I called Sears again. Repair technician came out on 11-23-11, told me there was a major leak in the cabin part of the refrigerator. He said they would order the part and it would be shipped directly to my home but of course that will not be until next week repair said they would be back on 12-1-11 to repair. If you are considering buying Samsung Products - Save your money! We bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer in 2012 and already had to have repairs on the washer ($279 for latch on the door). The dryer is ruining our clothes because the lint trap is defective and sticks up and catches and twists the clothes until they break. Our Dishwasher that we purchased in 2014, sometimes takes 6 cycles to clean. The soap dispenser does not open or the cycle stops and all the lights start flashing. The other day the dishwasher ran for almost 6 hours while we were shopping and was making a horrible noise. I called Lowes, where we purchased and they were no help. I called Samsung and was told I needed to buy a new lint trap, and they could not help with the dryer. As for the dishwasher, I have a transaction number of ** and was told someone would call me within 24 hours to discuss what our next step was. It has been three days and no one has called. We also have a Samsung stove/oven and microwave - crossing fingers those last longer than the other appliances. Bad product and bad customer service!!!

The doors to my Samsung refrigerator are supposed to be stainless steel, but they are rusting. I have cleaned the stainless using mild soap, hot water to clear gunk, then wipe and apply a high quality stainless polish. I started seeing the rust a couple of months ago and have been cleaning them up. Although I am cleaning them, the rust is now starting to pit. This refrigerator is only 15 months old! I bought through Sears including the warranty, but they are saying rust is not covered as it is a cosmetic item. I called Samsung and they immediately said there was nothing they would do as this is a cosmetic item. If this were steel or if I had been scrubbing the front with steel wool, etc., I could understand their stance, but this has been well cared for. By the way, did I say this was our second refrigerator in one year?! The first one died within a month, three days before Thanksgiving! Sears says theyd send a tech in two weeks! The local Sears store sent a new fridge out the next day, but we lost $400 worth of food and although we bought the extra protection for spoiled food from Sears, they would not cover the food as a tech did not look at the refrigerator first! So, next with our new refrigerator, we have had two icemakers and still have lots of problems with it! I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone! Neither Sears nor Samsung would do anything for me regarding this issue. So my $1200, 13-month-old investment from Sears is now rusting in my climate-controlled home! I do not recommend either Sears or Samsung as they have lied about the material this refrigerator is made from.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator/Freezer almost 3 years ago
We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator/Freezer almost 3 years ago from PC Richard & Son. We have replaced the shelves which line the doors at least 6 times. They are of the absolute poorest quality and are usable for barely 6 months before breaking. Samsung has ZERO to say about this, and offers nothing to the consumer in terms of compensation. We have spent over $250 on new shelves. This is apparently quite a common problem as the shelves are back-ordered and we are now living with one empty door. Aside from this, the ice maker is on its 3rd breakdown. This is another common issue with Samsung. There is a video on Youtube about how to try fixing it at home with 100,000 views - as my husband says, its hard to imagine that people are watching this for entertainment. Apparently the ice builds up in the back of the fridge and is then hit by a fan, causing an incredibly loud, constant noise. We have had this repaired twice by PC Richard, the last time was just a couple of weeks ago. Samsung refuses to acknowledge that their product is defective, and offered us parts if we would pay their service department for the repair. Funny that their same defective parts have failed to fix the problem twice already. My refrigerator is now empty while my husband attempts to blow dry the back of it to get the ice to melt. Samsung is producing complete and utter garbage. They have no respect for their customers and do not stand behind their products. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung item and intend to warn anyone who wants too.

Oh, you are the first buyer of the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator and you wont believe the white glove service it comes with. White glove? They came out to measure the location and said no problem, all will fit. Second floor, no problem we have the greatest delivery team. Well, the exciting day comes. The delivery team says they will probably scratch the ref if they bring it upstairs but they will try anyway. Final measurement from the white glove guy, all good she will fit. The greatest delivery team bangs it up the stairs, hides the big and I mean big gauges they put in the cabinet with their moving belt metal buckets and guess what, it wont fit. We now have the white gloved Samsung Family Hub sticking half way into our kitchen posing nicely with the several gauges in the cabinet. No problem well take car of it. Two days pass no call from anyone. My wife finally calls the white glove VIP team and they cant help! You cant help, give me someone else. No hes right, we cant help. You will have to call the store you bought it from. You are kidding me, where was the VIP white glove treatment. Go to Sears, get a Kenmore. We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (French door/stainless steel type) because we had a small space to put one in so it had to be a certain dimension. I will NEVER buy anymore Samsung products again! Less than one year after we bought it I started to notice that ice was building up on the ice maker so it had to be defrosted every month or so. Next the ice maker fan stopped working and you cant buy just the small plastic fan...no. You have to buy the whole unit at $150.00. Thanks for forcing your customers to spend way more money than you have to! After having the fan unit replaced we noticed that the ice was building up even more and preventing the arm from moving the ice into the ice bin. After calling the repairman, we found out that the ice maker is now broken and it will not make or dispense ice. He also called Samsung for a replacement part and found out that the icemakers are on backorder so it will be a couple of months before we get one because the amount of people waiting for one is rather large. Evidently we are NOT the only people with this problem. We are now looking at spending another $250.00 for a new icemaker. All of the Samsung products I have purchased (washer and TV) have turned out to be crap. The washer had a recall because of the motor causing the lid to blow off of the washer so we got a crappy 150.00 to go buy another new washer that was NOT a Samsung! The TV the screen went out so we bought another TV that also was NOT a Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product (including phones) because their products are cheaply made and breakdown soon after you buy them. I would never recommend their products to anyone EVER!

RF25HM FREEZER DOES NOT FREEZE! We purchased a Samsung in July 2015. In March of this year the drawer freezer stopped working, as did the ice maker. Set up an appointment for them to come out to diagnose the problem. The service tech was here yesterday and did an excellent job of troubleshooting the problem. He thought it would be a simple part replacement (circuit board). As it turned out, it was a sealed unit problem and it would be very expensive. The refrigerator still cools, just not the freezer. He explained that the freezer and refer share the same compressor, the part that operates the freezer was clogged or not functioning properly. I assume there is a valve of sorts that changes from refer to freezer when necessary. In essence, I am saying that Samsung is junk. DO NOT BUY! They should stick to cell phones and tablets. We have a Samsung Smart TV that we wish we hadnt purchased too! The frustrating part is that it was just over the warranty period. I am certain that I am not alone in this, when you pay over $2000 for a refrigerator it should last longer than just under 4 years!

I got the SE code on the Samsung microwave and after reading the complaints here, I called Sears where we got it and had a tech come out. We were able to keep using it until then by holding the stop/clear and start/enter button. Then I got to the point where Id take off the panel and move the wires and it would work again. Also, using the timer/clock seemed to be the issue. Anyhow, Sears came out for $75 to tell me what I already knew (needed new key pad/control box) and it would be a total of $200 for them to repair it (its only a $200 microwave). But he did tell me how to replace it. I tried to get the part from Samsung and they wouldnt as it was just out of warranty (so dont waste your time trying). JJ Parts in NJ is the part dealer for Samsung. I called and got the part with shipping for $70. Installation was super easy: two screws on the top of the unit on the vent grill and then slide it out. Then there is one screw at the top of the control panel. Open the door and lift the control panel up and it comes right off. Then there are a few ribbon cables to take off and it is clearly marked when you need to install them on the new keypad. Someone noted never work on a microwave due to it holding onto a charge - yes, that is true, but youd have to go way into the machine. Unplug the unit obviously before doing this repair, but I cant see how youd possibly run into any issues with this super easy repair.

Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French Door Refrigerator - Bought ours Nov. 2014 and bought the exact same one for my mother-in-law about a month later. Our ice-maker started acting up and freezing almost a year to the day after purchasing. Then lo and behold, my mother-in-laws did the exact same thing about a month after ours started (about one year to the day for her too). I did the hairdryer defrosting trick about 5 times in a two month span and had had enough... Too much work for ice, seriously! So then I got the bright idea to shut the ice-making ability off and buy bagged ice from the store and put it in the dispenser bucket. Works fantastic, except when you pay $2300 for a fridge with an ice-maker, one shouldnt have to purchase ice!My mother-in-law has appliance guard from Black Hills and they came out and fixed it a couple months ago, and it froze over again (just received an email from her this morning). I feel terrible because we purchased this for her as a gift and bragged how much we loved it; that was before the problems. If anyone has a fix, please post the link here. Theres been lots of theories, but I dont want to call out a repairman to temporarily fix what I can do with a blow dryer... ugghhh. Why no class-action lawsuit yet? The complaints are endless on their ice-makers, etc.

In November of this year I bought a Samsung fridge side-by-side with the bottom drawer and noticed three months later that the fridge drawer was discolouring, you’re not the same colour of the stainless steel as the rest of the fridge. I called them to complain and get this fixed and they said this was a cosmetic issue and it’s not covered. All this is dealing with them is a way of them playing with words and not fulfilling their responsibilities with warranty, anything but helping a customer as what I got this is definitely not cosmetic, it is a manufactures defect but they don’t use those words. Buyer beware. I will never buy Samsung products again and neither will my family members.

I have a French 4 - Door Samsung Stainless steel refrigerator that has a beverage drawer and two temperature control drawers. The only drawback I have and thought I checked prior to purchasing is the water - ice dispenser takes up a lot of door space. Otherwise love it!

Microwave SMH9207ST spontaneously turns on when not in use. Walked in to a small fire burning in the microwave while running which spontaneously started while we were out. Entire walls of microwave were melted with some damage from heat to surrounding cabinetry. My guess is we were 15 minutes early to a full on house fire. Not expecting Samsung to accommodate.

Beware of this company... I purchased an expensive Samsung glass top slide in electric range model #NE58F9500SS/AA from Best Buy in Aug 2016. In Apr 2018 the left front inside burner stopped working and the oven quit working at the same time. This range, built by a 3rd rate country is a PIECE OF JUNK!

I have a 9 year old Samsung refrigerator that cost almost $2000. The Display Control panel is bad and they no longer make the part to fix it nor do they have a substitute part. So Im sitting here with a $2000 refrigerator that doesnt work! Samsung should not be allowed to sell refrigerators in this country and anybody who buys one should seriously reconsider. I have put almost as much as the original cost in repairs on this thing and thats over and above the warranty work that was done. Its GARBAGE! And they do not stand behind their product. They were going to send out a service technician at MY cost for $100 to tell me that there is no part to fix it! These people are frauds!

We upgraded to a stainless steel Samsung gas range two years ago. I loved it at first... it was pretty and new, however at the one year anniversary I noticed that the bottom pan of the oven was cracking and peeling. I contacted Samsung, but alas, we were one week out of warranty but they would be happy to send us a new part for 79.00 plus installation. I said “No thank you,” because I might have to order a number of these because they only last one year. Upon cleaning my stove about two months ago, I noticed that the knobs are all cracked and one is broken... the plastic shaft (that is painted to look like metal) all defective. Probably due to the fact that they are in metal knobs… attached to metal shaft and the exhaust from the oven is directly below the knobs. So! I called Samsung and received the usual mantra that the range is out of warranty, but they would be happy to send me some more to the tune of $55.00 per knob plus shipping. I was on the phone for at least 45 minutes, but receiving no satisfaction. THEN! I got call from customer service a week later, that they would indeed give me a one time warranty on the knobs and to expect them to come shortly. I was really happy and looking forward to the knobs arriving. Well... we are one month out from receiving the call that they would replace the knobs, so I called Samsung to follow up. After sitting on the phone for another 45 minutes, I was told that Customer Service had sent the order to the parts department and the parts department denied the claim. Of course, no one called or emailed me.So, they told me I could order new ones. No thank you! Two weeks ago I was going to bake an item, and my oven would not heat up. We purchased the extended warranty from (H.H. Gregg… who is currently out of business!) so I called the warranty company who sent out a service man who replaced the oven igniter. The service man told me that most ovens are made this way... the bottom plate chips and cracks... the knobs break and crack... and to be on the watch for the convection fan because that will be the next thing. This range is just a piece of junk... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase a Samsung appliance. We thought we were purchasing a quality appliance... guess the joke is on us!!
