I bought my Samsung French door fridge/freezer in December 2011. It remained in good working order for about a year, giving me a supply of ice. Then the ice maker fell apart about and a few months later I noticed ice accumulating under the produce bins making the drawers impossible to open. Removal of the ice solves the problem for a month then the ice returns. Taking out the ice involves pouring in a lot of hot water; the task is annoying and not a good use of my time at the weekend. I will have to continue this task however as I cannot afford a new fridge and getting a repair seems to be useless according to other reviews.

We bought this nice new French door refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes. Fast forward to 2011, we were moving and out of town. We came home to a refrigerator that had quit cooling. It was running but not cooling and there were loads of flies. Aside from being very ticked off, we cleaned it out, lost several hundreds of dollars in food. We have contacted Lowes several times and they cannot find the sale which doesnt matter; it has a sticker on it showing the mfg date. We live in a very rural area. Twice now, Lowes has been contacted about finding a service person and they would get back to us and never do. We were told by an appliance company here locally that this is the normal life of Samsung refrigerators, and Im finding this to be true. Anybody looking at more class action suits against them? There have been at least one due to them knowingly selling appliances with bad compressors from what I have read.

Samsung Denies Refrigerator Warranty Through Confusion and Delay. Lesson Le
Samsung Denies Refrigerator Warranty Through Confusion and Delay. Lesson Learned: NEVER Purchase a Samsung Appliance and Expect Them to Uphold the Warranty. Whoever said that Corporations have consciences has never owned a Samsung Refrigerator that failed while under warranty. We had a RF266AEBP refrigerator for 4 years. It had a 5 year warranty on closed system parts such as the compressor. The compressor failed in its fourth year. A nice long life you might say but still under warranty. This failure happened on December 20th 2014. It was not until March 10th when I finally pulled the plug on working with Samsung Executive Customer Service. Their response seemed to be designed to beat me down, tire me out, and leave me wondering and lost. We had 3 service calls over these months and during this entire time our food was on our patio where the temperature would dip well below freezing at night. Here is some of the incompetent mishandling they exhibited:They sent us a service outfit that was not authorized to do warranty work on their refrigerators. They said at one point that the compressor had a warranty, not the refrigerator. They left me holding on the phone for up to 20 minutes (but would tell me it was going to be 3 min). Said that I would have had to have purchased a warranty at the time of purchase to get coverage. They could not seem to get the magical 7000 number from the service provider. Even after we had 3 service people out, had the compressor replaced and had spent two months without a fridge, they were going to send someone to confirm that it was the compressor issue.I pulled the plug after 2.5 months when they said it would be another 4 days before we would get the form that we needed to attach the pictures to and send in the Executive Customer Service. AND, that we would need to hold on to the old unit until the inspection, forms and pictures were reviewed and by their Refunds and Exchange Department. At that point we had already ordered a replacement refrigerator. So, if you choose to purchase a Samsung refrigerator, rip up the warranty, assume that it will not be honored. If you do choose to try to get them to stand up for what they promised, be ready for months of delay and misinformation. Very sad, very sad indeed.

RS265TDRS - Purchased this fridge about 3 years ago. Fan started making a loud purring sound when cycling, then after a couple of days, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Spent $350.00 to put in a new computer board, thermostat and sensor. Now, two months later, it is repeating the issue -- loud cycling of fan and quit cooling. I have just purchased a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy a Samsung product again! Found this website when fridge died the first time and knew it was just a matter of time before it would crap out again. Shame on Samsung for making a product with a defective twin cooling system. Would like to be part of a class action lawsuit on this.

Since its been used the twin cool has froze food in fridge section, even set at 38. Display has gone dead and more. Multiple repairs with no results. Samsung does not do their own repairs and you wait weeks for repair. We have spent no less than 24 hours on the phone with no results! They say they will buy it back, we wont hold our breath! Purchased Samsung rf217acpn in 2010, had problems from very beginning. Had to put in a new computer as old was bad. That was a little over a year since I bought brand new. Had to replace the door guides in the freezer and the seal around freezer door. That was in the first year. I was really upset. Called corporate office and they said you had to have 3 unrelated defects before they would consider replacing with new refrigerator. Last 2 yrs water under drawers, ice & freezing food on back panel. Defrosting manually. Cant imagine they are still selling thousands of this defective product. Borders on criminal.

Cost about $2800. Pros: great energy savings, LED light, very well lighted inside and good use of space. Cons: The drawers are not seamless so food, spilled juices, spilled sauces flows into the seams and will NEVER come clean. The glass shelves are not seamless and the same issue with cleaning is the result. The Ice maker worked great for the 1st year after which it continuously leaks water down the front of the door and makes a high pitch whining noise 24/7. Samsung will not warranty the ice maker. The French doors do not open all the way so it is a real struggle pulling out the drawers and shelves. Recommendation: NEVER purchase a Samsung fridge... EVER AGAIN.

I have a Samsung refrigerator that I purchased about 3 years ago. Last Christmas we lost power for about 10 seconds and the refrigerator stopped working. I unplugged it and waited about 10 minutes and plugged it in again, and it started up again. Whoever heard of such a thing? I noticed one of the doors to the refrigerator was lower than the other, and scraping on the freezer door below... Ice maker is available, but I dont use it, and the cover kept falling off. Eventually the small box fell down into the freezer and I had to keep adjusting it until a friend finally unhooked it. Last night, (Sat. night) I opened the refrigerator door and noticed the temp. was 48 degrees. I unplugged again and waited 1/2 an hour then plugged it in again. It didnt work. I went to bed and this morning the refrigerator was working. I had a Samsung smart tv that lasted about 14 months and stopped working. My repairman said it could not be fixed and he had never seen such a cheaply made tv... I will never, ever, buy another Samsung product...

We spent big dollars on this fridge and expected quality. We are a couple and have not put a lot of use on this fridge. At exactly 5 years, we started hearing a grinding fan noise in the back of the fridge. It got worse over the next week. Called a 5 star appliance repair company to come and take a look. We found out the problem is the evaporative cooling fan for the fridge. It is going to be a $350.00 repair. The repairman was very knowledgeable about the unit. He told us that Samsung refrigerators keep him employed. He also told us that we were the lucky ones having the refrigerator for 5 years with no other problems. He was a wealth of information, all of it bad for the longevity and costs that we could expect in the future. We decided to repair it and hope for the best. Repairman brought the new part back a week later. Unwrapped the bubble wrap to have a piece of plastic go flying. Part was broken and could not be used. He apologized and said that he would have to reorder and he could not guarantee that it would last even one year. We then decided to rethink our decision. After reading literally thousands of online reviews, we decided to cut our losses and run. Used our Labor Day weekend to seek out and purchase a new Made in America refrigerator. Money we had not intended on spending but glad to be out from under the Samsung brand. We have to wait for our new refrigerator and the fan noise is so loud now after 2 1/2 weeks that we can hardly hear one another to converse in our kitchen/family great room. Our daughter has been having problems with her ice maker on her Samsung from one year on, constant problem and royal pain. No fix in sight for hers either. One would think that Samsung would get a clue and improve their product but NO that is not what is happening. They knowingly continue to sell faulty and substandard products. We will tell everyone we know to walk away before they even consider a Samsung fridge. We wish someone had told us... If I could have given a worse star selection than 1, I would have... Save yourself a lot of grief and money~~DON’T BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.

I purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago 01-21-17. The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.

Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP - I have had this refrigerator for about 4 years now and it has had problems from a little after its first year. It would defrost everything for a couple of days and then start working again. This went on for months and I just figured it was a weird glitch. Then it started this loud grinding sound from the refrigerator section and it acted like it finally died. I called a repairman and he looked inside and said it was the fan but he couldnt work on it because the fan was frozen solid. He told me to leave it open for a few days while he ordered the part. I lost all of my groceries I had just bought. The repairman never seemed to get the part and after a month of no refrigerator, I plugged it back it and it worked perfectly fine for awhile. So this has been going on every few months until yesterday. The refrigerator wont cool now -- its at 66 -- and the freezer is working perfect. I have had it with this refrigerator!

Purchased Samsung refrigerator Model# RS554NRUASL/TC June 2013 from SM North Appliance. 1st month of using this unit is good, my electric bill went down but on the 2nd month (July 2013) refrigerator stopped cooling. Called Samsung. They gave me instructions to reset cooling by unplugging the unit for at least 30 seconds then replug it. Ive tried 5 times the whole day. It didnt work. Called Samsung. They referred me to their authorized Home Service Center. The technicians came the next day, they check the unit. They said that there was a leak, so they told me that theyre going to order the parts needed. After 4 days they came back to fixed the leak. After 3 hours looking for the leak, they said that the leak was inside the unit. They cant fix it. Theyre going to forward the problem to Samsung. So Samsung contacted me, they ask me to go to our dealer for the replacement of my unit. The 2nd new unit delivered (August 2013), it last 10 months. The same problem with the 1st unit happened again. So they replace it again, the 3rd unit delivered (July 2014). After 6 months of using the 3rd unit the same problem occurred again. Same procedure with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd unit was made. Then 4th unit with the same model delivered (February 2015). Last October 2015, there it goes again. The technician came, fixed it, after 3 days it broke again. They fixed it again. After 3 weeks it broke again. I really had enough with this unit. So disappointed...

I bought model RF28JBEDBSG less than 2 and a half years ago. For paying over $2000, you would think its going to be an excellent appliance. Since day one, we hated the ice maker. Barely makes any ice. But little by little the ice maker freezes up and the ice blocked up. So we started buying bagged ice. So to fix it, we unload the refrigerator and let the ice melt so we can get into the ice machine to remove the ice. This has happened multiple times even Christmas eve dinner. So I researched the problem and realized there are thousands of people with the same problem along with a class action lawsuit for the same issue Im having. Then someone mentioned the temperature not regulating properly. So I got a thermometer and seen that I have it set for 34 degrees and the temp inside was 20 to 44 degrees that I have seen with my own eyes. Over 40 degrees is unsafe for food. They are giving some people a horrible time getting a fix or even a refund. DONT BUY!!!!

I am not sure if I got a lemon or if this is a widespread problem, but we bought the Samsung Fridge (model RF4287HARS/XAA) in November 2011. The middle shelf on the left door, as you face the open fridge, which is adjacent to the ice maker, cracked after a few months. The crack was minor but spread over time. We barely used the shelf and could not figure out how it happened. We ordered a replacement shelf (under warranty) in Sept. 2012. It had been a problem for months, but that is when we got around to it. The problem recurred very soon after getting the replacement shelf.Again, it was small to start, and we did not notice it for a while. As we were busy with kids and the holidays, we did not contact Samsung until 2013. The warranty was up, but Samsung agreed that the shelf should not have formed a crack and sent us a second replacement in early June 2013. We put in the replacement shelf, and this time, we did not even put anything on the shelf, and it cracked again... the third time, within a few days. Each time, the crack has started where the shelf touches the door at the ice maker. At this point, it is clear that the crack is being created by the ice maker. Samsung is sending a third replacement shelf but will not acknowledge that there is actually a problem with the fridge that is causing the shelf to crack. I am not certain if it is a unique defect with our fridge or more widespread. I started typing this as I approached one hour of time on hold for their customer service supervisor. I had asked to escalate things to the Executive Customer Relations team but was told that no one could take the call, or a message due to high demand. I finally abandoned my call after this long hold time.

Model #: RF261BEAEBC/AA (French Door, Freezer on Bottom, NO ice or water dispensers in the door). I have had to call Samsung services and repair four (4) times for my Samsung Refrigerator in the first thirteen (13) months of operation. Every call has been about the ice maker. I escalated this recurring issue to the executive review board (or whatever they call it) stating that I must have a defective refrigerator (or least a defective ice maker). I said they need to address this issue by replacing the whole refrigerator or issue a recall of some parts or something because this is just not acceptable. The response I got back from Samsung is that this is not cause for any special consideration and that normal repair and service should continue. Their response is what really bothers me. I mean I fully understand that if you make thousands of appliances (or cars or whatever), there will be a couple that will be defective. I have no problem with that - just own up to it and resolve the issue for good. I also understand that no matter how much you test sometimes things can be missed. I have had cars recalled for certain issues, you take your car to the dealer, they resolve the issue (no cost to you) and all is good. I mean it is very weird for them to think that four (4) service requests in first thirteen (13) months of operation is not cause for alarm or at least a closer inspection.I actually talked to the last repairman that came out to fix the problem. He said that he sees a lot of repairs on certain models of Samsung Refrigerators that was/is related to frozen water line for the ice makers. So much so that Samsung did a recall and replaced the heating element (or whatever) to keep ice from forming in water line to the ice maker. He said it was a different model than mine and hence no recall for my specific model number.I suspect that this is the issue for me as well, as water is not making it to the ice tray. I could be wrong though and freely admit something else could be the issue. With this type of customer service, it will make me seriously consider any Samsung products in the future. I am not upset so much with an appliance that has issues. Hey, I dont like it and wish otherwise, but the stick-my-head-in-the-sand-and-hope-this-goes-away attitude from Samsung is really bothersome.

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the Icing if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

Bought refrigerator 1-13-2012.. IN 2014 AUG, Nov, and March 2015 have had the same problem. Back of refrigerator freezes up and water drains into refrigerator. I have called Samsung. I need to fax and or email times I have had it worked on. I did all of that, which I faxed and email because they couldnt read some of them. I have tried contacting them again my email. No response, 2 or 3 times. They told me I had to have it done within 24 hours. I did. Still no response by email or phone call. Not a happy camper.

On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

Got rid of a 27 year old Kenmore refrigerator so we could experience the newer, energy efficient fridges of today....BIG mistake! Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful appliance, but, I want my Kenmore back! Clearing the ice from the fan and the build up in the ice maker are becoming chores that I NEVER had to do with my old fridge. Every couple of months we have to unload the fridge to access the back panel to melt the ice built up around the fan. At least once a month we have to clear the ice around the ice maker to get the ice maker to work again. Along with those issues, we have standing water under our drawers and the baseboard trim around our cabinets are mysteriously deteriorating...Im assuming its from the fridge leaking, due to mass runoff of the ice melting! Our model is: Samsung refrigerator RF28HDEDBSR/AA. STAY AWAY! Youve been warned!

Since purchasing in 2012 this refrigerator has been a constant problem. We have had to defrost the freezer 6 times due to ice buildup. And now for the second time the refrigerator is not working. The back panel freezes. The fan then breaks due to the ice buildup which causes the motor to stop. This has happened twice at a $500 cost to fix. Now in addition to the refrigerator not working there is ice building the size of a large melon in the lower right hand interior panel. We have been told this is due to bad insulation and is a product defect. We contacted customer service and they told us the repair company is not Samsung authorized. The Samsung authorized service did not return our calls for service. We have tried them again and they ask we wait 5 days before a serviceman can conduct a home visit. So we have non-working refrigerator. It has been classified as a product defect. We cannot get service. Samsung help desk is not giving us support. A Lemon!!!

We recently purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (Model#RS22HDHPNSR/AA) back in June from hhgregg. According to the date on the inside panel the refrigerator was built sometime in January 2014. We purchased the unit June 2014 and it’s barely six months later and the refrigerator stopped working! That refrigerator wasn’t cheap in price but obviously that wasn’t the case when it came to its assembly. The refrigerator died on us this past Saturday, October 11, 2014 and I put in a repair request online Sunday via the Samsung website. As I had put all the details required to get the process moving, imagine my surprise when those same details were requested yet again when someone finally got around to calling. So once again I sent the information via the website and my personal email. After sending the information again I was under the impression that a repair person would be sent out ASAP to remedy the malfunctioning refrigerator problem but I was wrong. A repair person didnt show up until Thursday October 16, 2014, five days later. Let me reiterate - five days have passed with us being without a working refrigerator. The repairman arrived before 12pm. He proceeded to inform my mother that he was told that if the refrigerator could be repaired he would repair it. He told us that it would take two to four hours to fix the problem. He checked various aspects of the refrigerator and spoke with someone that I assume was a representative of the Samsung company via his company phone and shortly thereafter around 1:15pm, he went outside. We assumed he went to his truck to retrieve the necessary materials or tools to fix the problem and we haven’t seen the repairman since!!! So, not only have we been without a working refrigerator six days but to add insult to injury the person that the company sent out to repair the malfunctioning unit has left us in a lurch without so much as a word!My mother has been on the phone with numerous company reps since Monday and we have yet to have this situation resolved. The last person she spoke with today (10-17-14) said someone would be out Monday. I wont believe it until I see it. I am quite disgusted with Samsung and personally will NEVER purchase product they create.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I incorrectly thought this would mean quality. We plunked down $3K. Now that it does not work, No repair person will touch it because they cannot obtain replacement parts. You can only use their service center. The original Samsung service center that was recommended is now scheduling appointments for more than a month out. When I complained, they told me they would send me an email to get in touch with a different service center. The young lady that answered was trying her best, but without support from higher ups or Samsung what good is it? This service center has only has one technician Really??? I dont have a refrigerator, dont know if they can fix it or if the parts will be on the service person’s truck, or backordered, or... Still waiting... SAMSUNG WANTS TO SELL BUT DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THEY SELL, then they hold you captive with only their service center and availability of parts.

I had technician come out in first year but it was unthawed before they got there and worked again. I do not think should have to clear refrigerator out every other month to unthaw and fix problem.

But the problem didn’t solve. After sometime one of them called me and I told them the problem, but they answered me that it is a common side by side Samsung refrigerator problem and they easily shirked their responsibility! We didn’t pay attention to sound. It’s two months and the noise gets louder and it disturbs our sleeping in the middle of night and driving us crazy! My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.

Most appliance repair companies refuse to repair Samsung Refrigerator, what a SHOCK! I had no idea. I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator which was priced over $3,000 in 2013 on sale. After just a few months, we walked in the kitchen and saw a puddle of water on the floor. We had a warranty, so this wasnt a big deal. It happened again before the warranty expired. During the last visit, the repairman said it is not a big deal just remove the bottom drawer and remove that layer of ice and that takes care of the problem. The next time our warranty had expired so I did not consider the long term ramifications which hits us now that the bottom freezer drawer has stop freezing completely. This is a very costly repair. I am furious because this is a well known issue with Samsung. I really want my money back because this has been a constant problem.

The right side door started on day 1 making a horrid noise when shutting. This took three service calls so far. Seems to be okay after third fix! Then ice maker froze solid, couldn’t even pull out the tray/bucket. So to fix it, we had to unplug the fridge for several days before they came to repair it. Because of a problem with a different fridge that we put our stuff in for those three days, we lost all food from the fridge. So they came and put in a new ice maker with updates from Samsung. Uh, well, now 3 months later, we have an ice maker completely frozen solid again. Unbelievable! And now out of warranty. Samsung Refrigerator Model RB215LASH - Samsung is a disgrace. I have sworn off any product made by Samsung as a result of my experience with this refrigerator. This refrigerator began giving me trouble at ten months. I went out of town to work and when I came home it wasnt working at all. Neither Lowes nor Samsung was concerned about the fact that they are selling a piece of junk. I contacted Samsungs recommended repair company and during the visit, I was advised that no one wants to work on them because they continue to fail even after repairs are made.A faulty refrigerator is a health and safety issue and has the potential to kill. The digital thermometer displays the temperature incorrectly. Perishable food items stored above 40 degrees for more than two hours can grow deadly bacteria. Samsung, you should be ashamed. Unfortunately, today it is all about the dollar, and honor and integrity have no place in the corporate equation. Im not sure why, but I did expect more from Lowes. Next step for me will be a catchy little video on YouTube where I use my Samsung refrigerator as an anchor, pushing it off of a boat with a big blue ribbon tied around it. (Dont worry, Ill make sure not to harm the environment in the process and to hoist it back up and dispose of it properly after the filming.)

Service man told us he knew what the problem was when we told him about the bottom drawer frozen to bottom. Charged $149.00 for a 5 minute visit. He would have to order the heater element and it would cost $30. He said that the heater element touches the inside of the back panel and this will happen again because of a design flaw with the back panel and Samsung has corrected it on the new models! Came back with the heater and said did not need it and defrosted the freezer, put it back together and charged us another $45.00 and within three hours there was a build up of ice in the bottom of the freezer so we cannot use the drawer for storage. The refrigerator we currently have is a replacement for the one we originally bought from Samsung. The original refrigerator had a problem with the freezer frosting up thus making it difficult to get the freezer drawer to open completely. After multiple attempts by the Samsung service technicians to resolve the problem Samsung decided to refund our money so we could purchase another refrigerator. Even though the service quality we received on the original refrigerator was terrible we decided to purchase another Samsung refrigerator because of their reputation for producing quality products. I am sorry to say that the replacement Samsung refrigerator is doing exactly the same thing and it is also very noisy. I doubt we will get more than a couple of years out of this refrigerator. I do not think Samsung knows what it is doing when it comes to making quality refrigerators and it definitely needs a tremendous amount of improvement in servicing what they sell. I called Samsung, a representative told me parts and labor were covered for 5 years. Technician shows up and tells me the evaporator fan and defrost sensor are bad. Technician tells me those items are not covered. I called Samsung while the technician is here working on the unit. Samsung tells me again the units cooling system is covered under warranty. The technician tells me and the Samsung representative the parts are not covered. Samsung representative tells me the evaporator fan and sensor are not covered because they are not part of the cooling system. I watch the technician out sealer around the icemaker because the unit doesnt have a good seal. 326.00 it costs me to fix the unit. After 55 minutes on the phone, Samsung tells me they cannot help with the cost. I spoke with Dianna and Henderson in customer service. I WILL NOT BY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN.

Word to the wise.. Never buy kitchen appliances from Sears as they have no service department. Their service work is subbed out to other companies. When you call them for service work you will be talking to someone who sounds like he or she is from Pakistan or Korea. They are extremely expensive and you have to work around their schedule. I have owned a new SAMSUNG Refrigerator for less than five years. We purchased the three-year warranty when we purchased it, but it did us no good as the Refrigerator quit working and couple of months, after the warranty expired. The unit started to make a clicking noise and then it quit cooling. The service guy shows up after going through the circus of getting him out there to tell us that the unit is frozen and he sees this issue quite often. He charges me $225.00 to defrost the frozen motor and he tries to sell me another one year warranty for $300 plus dollars. Its now 13 months later and we are experiencing the same symptoms. The fan motor starts the clicking noise and the unit quits cooling. I called Samsung to let them know what was going on and to see if they help me out because of the lemon that I purchased from them. They were not willing to work with me in any way. I have a KitchenAid refrigerator outside that I have owned for ten plus years and I havent had the first problem with the unit. I am done with the Korean Samsung Products.. Buy American made products!!

Going on a month without a working ice maker. TWO service calls because it had ice build up (4 times total but 2 that we handled) and they admitted that this model had faulty units. They said they would give us $ to purchase a new fridge but it would end up costing us about $800 out of pocket because we bundled the whole kitchen and got an amazing deal/interest. Now, I have bagged ice taking up freezer space and they arent returning calls. I tried to write a review on Amazon but I guess they are having too many complaints and it wouldnt post. I will NEVER get Samsung again, but our entire kitchen is Samsung and less than a year old. Were stuck :/

Very frustrated and dissatisfied consumer, I will never recommend buy Samsung appliances, a 2 years old refrigerator is stopped from working, to be more clear it the freezer that is not working! Samsung mislead clients when they put label says 10 years warranty. When I called Samsung seeking for the help to fix the issue, here what I got! You as customer go bring a technician if you want! We can give you a technician number but all this is on your own cost. And if the technician give a report that the issue is in the compressor send us the tech report and we will send the part for you and you can install it in your own cost. Seriously what an after sell service! How this is called a service, you simply could make this clear as a label on the fridge and show it under the 10 years warranty label, dont keep fooling the clients. This is nothing but trash.

After paying for months for a new refrigerator, which was over $2,500, which is a lot of money to me, after about a year, it started making a noise. I called Samsung for them to tell me that a service tech would come out, but that was not covered under warranty and I did not buy the extended warranty. Well, after I spent that much money, I didnt think I needed to spend additional amount for an extended warranty. Was I wrong? Another $300 for some 18-year-old kid to just switch out a motor. Here we are 11 months later with the same problem, mainly because the first technician didnt fix it right the first time. It constantly freezes up, and water is under the vegetables bins. What a lemon. People, do your homework and never buy a Samsung refrigerator! This one had the ice and water on the outside and the French doors. I was really upgrading, and I had to make payments. Samsung couldn’t care less!

Refrigerator, RF266AB, new on 7/7/09... January 13, 2014, home in evening with $166.00 of groceries; felt thawing freezer unit foods. Had to load perishable purchases. Checked temps. Fridge 54 degrees, freezer 38 degrees. Referred to manual and reset according to instruction. 6:30 next morning, far worse. Unplugged unit and re-tried temp settings. Removed ALL foods and dispersed to all friends and family. Called customer service (HA!) 1/14 a.m, could possibly come out on 1/17. Cust. rep. called and said no service till Tues., 1/21//14! ONE WEEK NOW WITHOUT MAJOR APPLIANCE! Lost most of our foods. EXPENSIVE! Very nice service rep. called and came Mon. eve. 1/20. Very knowledgeable and professional. Did testing. Probably compressor. Ordered immediately. Maybe due Fri., 1/24. TEN days now w/o fridge! I called Samsung. Laticia referred me to problem solving cust. resource. I FINALLY got to Deidre in ECR on 1/22. They were very reluctant to transfer me there. No expediting part delivery. Fri. eve 1/24 Tony spent four hrs.replacing compressor! (from 6p-10p)!! He advised us to call in a.m. on Saturday if any problem. Extremely proficient young man, overworked and tired.TEN days without a fridge is obscene in the 21st century!! Samsung should be ashamed of their ethics and standards. IF I had an infant requiring formula OR a necessary, perishable medication, I was told action might be sooner.... REALLY!? Somehow Im disillusioned with that thought! Maybe they would have sent a styrofoam cooler! Samsung NEEDS better customer response, action, & customer satisfaction. How about more technicians to serve the needs of their presumed good reputation? Deplorable is the best word I can use for their lack of compassion and delays. Oh, and how we imposed on our friends and neighbors! I sent flowers to thank them! This was a MAJOR disruption for ALL... except most of the Samsung staff who probably had cold refrigerators the whole while! For five years I loved and praised this appliance. Yes, verbally. Not so sure now. We own two Samsung TVs. I pray we never have to require service. OH, and by the way... IF we had another service person from anywhere come to our rescue... we would have voided our five year warranty on major parts. Makes one wonder if that was why we had to work so hard and long for the result. Two weeks now with cold circulating air. Pray for us that it lasts, and pray it doesnt happen to YOU!!

As per my experience, I would like to suggest do not buy Samsung refrigerator. His customer support is worst. I complained Samsung customer care and complaint no ** in 4th June-18 and it get resolve on 15-June-18. Almost 11 days. Now you can imagine without refrigerator 11 days in very hot session. Updated on 01/25/2019: Wow. I cannot believe that Best Buy still carries this garbage, they are going to ruin their own reputation with this crap in their stores. Samsung creates crap appliances, crap. We have had a repairman out to fix the fan. He spent hours defrosting it, did nothing in the end, and charged over $200. The fan is already a few weeks later buzzing so loudly and is frozen up, again. (Told that this is pretty typical)After emailing the repairman multiple times, calling and getting a voicemail that is just random talking and not an actual voicemail message, the voicemail was full. We called Samsung directly after this experience and they advised we get in contact with the repairman to resolve the problem. THANKS. We are out of warranty of course, so they do nothing. Absolutely nothing. We accelerated to the manager or whatever who was a woman in a call center out of the Dominican Republic. She had no advice other than to call another repairman. I will never buy Samsung anything ever again, I will not say good things about them, and I will tell anyone and everyone I know to never ever buy Samsung appliances. NEVER.Original Review: I am so displeased with EVERY Samsung appliances we purchased. The fridge being the absolute worst, it’s been just barely a year and we already have a fan blown, not creating ice and who knows what that loud buzzing was that has quit working. They look great but they are not worth the price paid. Don’t bother, get the brands who know what they are doing.

BUYER BEWARE: From the day I received the refrigerator, the bottom load freezer never worked. Within a six week period; I made multiple calls to SAMSUNG; was sent two local techs, who was in contact with the samsung; Samsung cancelled the third tech with no explanation and the freezer is still not working. Dealing with the SAMSUNG SERVICE DEPT. has been one long nightmare. They have an 800 number so you do not get to speak to the same person; they are located all over the USA and Dominican Republic. I was given misinformation, hung up on, transferred to other agents multiple times and had to re-explain the reason for my call over and over again. The agents read off a script about their service policy I cannot get a replacement refrigerator until a part has been replaced twice AND THEIR service tech deems it unrepairable; I cannot receive reimbursement for lost food until the refrigerator has been fixed. The problem with my appliance is that there was a factory defect with the freezer drawer, the techs were telling me, but not communicating this information to the SAMSUNG TECh. I was assigned a case worker after the initial conversation about the problem, I never heard from them again.

We renovated our entire kitchen in Samsung appliances. Our $3,300.00 4-door flex refrigerator lasted 2.5 years and my wife and I have been fighting with customer service (CS), since November 2017, to get them to honor their warranty. CS initially sent an authorized service person who tried to fix it and recharged the refrigerant. He stated that if this didnt fix the issue, since it was a sealed system, it is un-repairable. It worked for approximately 2 months and the issue returned. This points to a slow leak in the sealed system which has a 5 yr part/labor warranty. Next time we called they claimed they couldnt issue another ticket because our serial number had a refund already issued against it, though the refund wasnt in our name or sent to us. We feel their error is not our problem and shouldnt delay our warranty service request. They wouldnt budge.Since then weve heard nothing but excuses and well call you in a week. Another CS rep claimed the vendor (Home Depot) must have shipped a unit that had been previously returned (laughable), Home Depot doesnt stock the appliances theyre shipped straight from Samsung. We both actually heard these claims on our phone. Every time you call you have to re-explain the issue to them and Im sure they keep a file on your case. Now theyre asking me to remove the label from the appliance and send a picture to them (doesnt that invalidate the warranty?). This has been the most frustrating experience weve ever had. Youd think such a big company would want their name to stand out in a positive light. WE ARE NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. Im contacting my states Attorney Generals office and the FTC about our issue. We may not be able to get financial relief but, if it is determined that what theyre doing is illegal, they will spend money in legal fees and fines. There are state and federal consumer laws regarding warranties. I hope this word gets out so maybe theyll change their ways. Best to document all contacts with them to show how they treat you. Their service techs dont give paperwork so you gotta keep all emails, texts msg, phone records to present your case.

This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. Have had 2 repairs but they just melted the ice so it freezes every 2 to 4 weeks. Shame on Samsung for not doing a recall. Its a very well known issue; the fan gets hot, melts the ice then it freezes back up again. Theyve even published repair instructions for their techs but Ive had two here and they assure me its fixed. Im disabled and cant stand long.... We purchased a Samsung refrigerator instead of another brand for two reasons. One I liked the french door in the middle, and second we had numerous other Samsung electronic products and they performed well. That was our first mistake. Just because a company makes a good Television doesnt mean they know how to design and build an equally well performing refrigerator. About all I can say about it is that it does freeze but from there on forget it. The ice maker and in particular the dispenser suck. We never get only cubes, we also get crushed along with the cubes and the crushed flies all over. After 2-1/2 years Im ready to give up.

Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can.
Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can. Compressor on our 6 month old unit began failing nearly two months ago. Terribly loud noises coming from compressor. Over 2 dozen calls to customer service resulted in a list of stupid hoops to jump through. Level the appliance, reset temp, buy and replace water filter... Blah, blah, blah. After 4 weeks, they finally sent technician to look at it. I was told noise was coming from inside compressor (duh) and that there was nothing he could do with it. 3 more weeks passed with no followup from Samsung. So three days ago, fridge totally shot craps. $300 worth of food ruined. Now Im pissed. So now they opened up a 4th case number, and are going to send a repair technician. Problem is, the repair company listed on service confirmation is same company that visited us first time. The same company that is not equipped to work on internal elements of the unit. Meanwhile, were living out of coolers. These people are by far THE WORST I have EVER dealt with in my life. No class, crappy products. Clueless. I no longer want it fixed. I want the piece of crap out of my house. I will never again buy any Samsung branded product. Where can I sign on to a class action suit?

2 years ago my refrigerator went out on a Friday night. Because I needed a fridge right away, I ended up buying a Stainless Steel Samsung, French door with bottom freezer at Home Depot. It was the worst decision I have ever made. In the summer I have to buy ice because it does make enough. The handle on the freezer broke and to fix it, it would cost 600$ because they would have to replace the entire door. Then the cheap plastic pull out drawers cracked. I bought a French Door, 2 drawer blue stainless Samsung refrigerator Model # RF25HMEDBSG 19 months ago. The icemaker started freezing up immediately after the 12 month warranty expired. I have deiced the icemaker 4 times in the last seven months. This week the fan in the back started making noise because it was rubbing on an ice buildup in the coils. This isnt what I expected when I laid out $ 2,088 for what I thought was a quality product. I didnt think I would need an extended warranty to cover the first three years. Wrong!! I looked at a YouTube video which saved me a service call which would have cost about $300 from Dish. What I learned was that there is a way to do a manual defrost for the coils that is not in the Users Manual. Empty your refrigerator. On my model, press the top item on the left side of the display which is Freezer and the middle item on the right side which is Lighting and hold for 12 seconds. It will go through a series of displays and stop on the last which is FD for Fast Defrost. This activates the heating elements to defrost the coils. It beeps for 30 or 40 minutes then stops which I assume means that the defrost is complete. I carefully defrosted the icemaker with a heat gun on low from a distance. That was 3 days ago and I have icemaker ice and no fan noise. We shall see how long it holds up. The YouTube showed an older model but by pressing the SAME LOCATIONS on the display twelve seconds, FF came up and he had to press a function three or four times until the Fast Defrost FD started. Use at your own discretion. I hope this saves you some repair $$.

Conns will not step up to the plate and offer any kind of service or help... Will never go there again, nor recommend that store. (NFM here I come). Nor will Samsung say that there is any problem with this defective product though they have Class Action Lawsuits against them for similar products. I received a brand new Samsung refrigerator model: RF263AFRS, purchased from Sears in February 2011. Despite appropriate care it failed the summer 2013 (two years!). Neither Sears nor Samsung offered to stand for the quality and the consumers concern for the excessive noise (now clearly audible through the entire two storey house!). The cooling also seems to be an issue. I am in the process of confirming the latter with an internally placed thermometer. I called both the Sears and the Samsung representatives: it appears they are not willing to investigate their failure to provide a quality product expected to perform up to expectation for at least 10 to 15 or more years similar or better than the old fridges we still own. It has many defects related to the quality of materials: A long crack (about 40 cm in length) was created in the inner wall of the freezer. Drawers have places where dirt accumulates and cannot be cleaned.
