The stove is difficult to use... Difficult and complicated selection panel which is hard on the hands and has to be pushed 2 to 3 times for make selection. Difficult to figure out model number which is in a stupid location. OVEN WARMER. My advice is DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. Service is terrible and the people do not listen or speak proper English when supporting English Canadian Customers...and yet the company charges top dollar for this premium stove that I would not even pay $5 dollars for. Not worth the money.

Our dishwasher nightmare continues. We purchased our dishwasher in May 2014
Our dishwasher nightmare continues. We purchased our dishwasher in May 2014 from Lowes, replacing a Kitchenaid. The salesman at Lowes talked us into the Samsung when I specifically said, anything but a Samsung after a terrible experience with their refrigerator. He said that Consumer Reports gave it top ratings and led us to a specific model that had all the features we wanted. We reluctantly bought it but we got a great deal on it. Right after it was installed, there was water left in the bottom after the installer left. I assumed it was because he ran it through some abbreviated cycle so I loaded it, ran the dishes through a cycle and, when I opened it, the water was gone. I thought the problem was solved.About 4 weeks later, I opened the dishwasher to load some dishes and, again, there was standing water in the bottom but the smell was terrible. It was like a combination of old garbage and stagnant water. We called the service department at Lowes because we bought the extended service plan on the dishwasher. The man from A & E came over, looked it over and said - to make it so I did not have to pay for a service call - we will say it was food in the disposal and told me to buy a product called Affresh and use it once a month in the dishwasher. A few days later, I ran one of the Affresh treatments in the dishwasher and for 2-3 days, the dishwasher was fine. No smell, no water in the bottom. But then the smell came back.About a month later, another service man came from A & E and told me that there was nothing he could do about it because the problem was that the dishwasher was draining through my garbage disposal, and the water and smells were backing up from that. He told us we needed a plumber to put in another drain for the dishwasher! REALLY? This is the third dishwasher weve had in this home and the first that we have experienced problems like this with!We went to Lowes to talk to someone and were sent to someone in installation. There, another installer was sent to my house to take a look and he removed a loop that was in the flexible tube from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal. This seemed to stop the water problem. But the smell is still awful! A few nights ago I was loading dishes and my husband walked into the kitchen (about 20 feet away) and he asked me what that terrible smell was!I am trying to be patient and give Lowes a chance to help. I am trying to believe that Samsung will do the right thing. I am losing my patience and my faith. I am afraid to try any of the usual things like white vinegar, Borax, or anything else because the machine is only 6 months old. No more Samsung products for us. Not worth any amount of money saved for the problems they deliver!

Bought the unit last 2014 and started using it when we moved into our new unit in July 2014. Within 2 years, stains and discoloration appeared on both doors. In April 2017, have shelled out 1k plus for a replacement of what they called sensor, cause my freezer is not functioning. In less than 1 year, as of this writing, March 2018, it malfunctioned again, cant produce ice cubes and the whole unit is not cold enough to cool a pitcher of water. The mechanic from their authorized service center, checked it up and gave me an estimate amount of PHP5,000 to replace a leaked hose etc. I will now spend 6000 plus for a unit that I have used only for less than 4 years. I would rather buy a new unit if I have an extra money, and if I do never would I buy any appliances from this brand.

I never write reviews but I came on this site to see if I was the only one
I never write reviews but I came on this site to see if I was the only one who had a problem with this stove. ALAS, I was NOT. We had the same problem with the temperature controls as many other reviewers did. Luckily my husband was able to change a part and fixed the issue. After several ruined meals since I couldnt figure out what was wrong initially. However, my glass top has broken twice in the last year. I had an old GE range prior to this and it lasted forever! It was easily 15-20 years old. I bought this Samsung smooth glass top range when we remodeled our KItchen. (MAybe 3-4 years ago) Loved it! Im not hard at all on appliances. I turned my teapot on to boil water for tea the first time and I heard a loud crack. TUrned around and the entire top had shattered. We had the glass top replaced, which was a costly repair but we liked the stove. The other morning, I had a small skillet on the stovetop making eggs, I turned around and heard another loud CRACK! This time it cracked underneath the skillet and into about four large pieces. SO, I am guessing from what I see here, no reason to call Samsung. We can replace the glass top again but honestly, the money we spent to fix these issues were as much, if not more than, the stove itself. I would recommend another brand glass top stove/oven if youre looking for one.

Dishwasher given as a gift. It cleans better than my old one which did not have storm wash or sanitizer or delayed wash. The control dials positioned on inside of door are easy to clean. I like the section on lower rack that cleans off dirtiest dishes. The slots in basket hold silverware in place or you can open up for larger utensils. The top rack has 2 areas designed to hold any light dish in place. The rack slots for placement of dishes are angled so bowls are difficult to load. Overall looks and ability to clean make it a bargain for the price.

The install of my dishwasher by a Samsung subcontractor in Sacramento, CA was installed backwards. Therefore a flood occurred the next day. I had to call a plumber emergency to fix it and pay out of my pocket. Samsung refused to reimburse. Fridge French door brand new doors do not close properly. Service never showed. Samsung spent an hour on phone not agreeing to service and finally agreeing even though fridge is under a year old. Installers who are from Samsung installed doors incorrectly. Again they refuse to fix. Bins in fridge break within a year and again they refuse to fix. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Its bad enough their appliances are bad but their service is awful and I purchased appliances straight from Samsung not from a store. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. EVERYONE OF THEM. Service horrible too.

To Tim Baxter or anyone else that cares about Samsungs reputation and how their terrible customer service and falsely advertised products, dont settle well with the consumer. I am at my wits end with your company and its appalling customer service! For 4 months now Ive tried to get your company to take ownership for a refrigerator it sold us, that claimed to offer a Flex Zone with 4 temp settings, all the way down to -1 Celsius. Tim, we both went to High-school at took basic science classes, but the techs and people in your Office of the President all seem to have either not taken the class or failed it. My wife and I have had food spoiling in that drawer for months, because it will NOT freeze as it should given that 0 degrees Celsius is freezing, therefore anything colder that zero is at least capable of freezing. Well nothing freezes in that drawer. Ive had 3 service people come out, who all are being told the same thing from Samsung that I am being told, which is that the refrigerator works as it should. Tim, please explain to me how its working as it should when food does not freeze in a drawer that offers a -1 degree Celsius setting. Your office of the president, at 888-480-5675 and Loshanda at extension **, has ignored 7 messages I have left for her with the receptionist, and two voicemails. She literally has decided to blow me off. The last time she called me, before Thanksgiving, she told me that Mr. ** its not supposed to freeze, since -1 degrees Celsius is also 29 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore its 29 degrees above freezing... I was without a reply for a few minutes. How do you politely tell a person that they dont know that Celsius and Fahrenheit both measure temperatures, and that -1 Celsius and 29 Fahrenheit are the same below freezing temperature. After Loshandas obvious failure to care to call me back anymore, because she believes its working fine, I called and asked for a supervisor in your Office of the President. Ive been told twice there is no such thing, that I just have to leave a message for Loshanda to call me back. I’ve done that once a week for 7 weeks. I’m exhausted and utterly disgusted with the horrible service from your company. I dont know which is worse, that your techs believe -1 degrees Celsius is not supposed to freeze the food, or that your Office of the Preside could care less at this point, after my wife and I have lost hundreds of dollars in food that has gone bad, Ive wasted hours with techs coming out telling me the same thing, and more hours on the phone talking to your general Samsung support line that offers no help but to suggest I have yet another tech come out, who will waste all our time again. Tim, my wife and I own thousands of dollars in merchandise from you all, from phones, to BluRay players, to TVs etc. Is this how I should be treated? I want Loshanda at least reprimanded or at best fired, and I want and deeply hope for your help in resolving this matter. Your refrigerator does not do as it was sold to do, its that simple. And I need this fixed. Please Tim. Ive left voicemails for others in your Office of the President, they too have ignored me.

I bought the French Door Fridge 18 months ago. I love the look. I love the storage space. Hate the knocking although that has improved a great deal after six months, and after they suggested I switch the Ice button to off - since I dont use it. It still Pops, Snapples and Cracks a bit but that is probably normal for most refrigerators. My main beef is the crisper drawers. Rather than be just one piece, the front of the crisper comes off to enable cleaning in the crack where the pieces join. (If it was only one piece, there would be no cracks to accumulate food bits.) Why they decided to build a crisper that needs to be disassembled and reassembled I cant fathom. Anyway, one needs a screwdriver to pry open the thin plastic latches that keep it together. You guessed it! I broke one side of one of the latches and now I need to use bother hands when I pull it out to make sure I dont break the hinge on the other side. Normally, I would just buy a new drawer. Samsung uses independent companies to sell their parts. The price? $120 CDN!!! I thanked them and went out and bought plastic Glue. And as I write this, I think I will fill the crack with plastic glue too. I wished this had happened two weeks ago before I bought a Samsung Range and Dishwasher.

Dont ever buy a Samsung fridge. We have had our French door refrigerator for about a year. It is a 2015 make and model. The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasnt been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that its not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. Come to find out this happens a lot with Samsung. We had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it with a hairdryer. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. I will never buy Samsung again!!!

I bought a new Samsung fridge, in April 2011. The door would not close properly, which is my fault. I Installed one of the shelves wrong. In November, 2011, just before Thanksgiving, the food side quit working, spoiling food and milk. I called Sears for repairs, about 5 times, getting the run around each time. Finally, the tech came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and rescheduled an appointment to repair the fridge. Thats when the problems started. Now, I was told a week later, there were no parts available until December 6th. I raised all kinds of hell with Sears. Finally, I managed to push the right buttons and got the Sears Corporate Offices. I am picking up a new refrigerator today at the store in Pensacola, Fl. It will definitely not be a Samsung. It took about 10 very harassing phone calls, for me to finally get some service. The number to call is 888-266-4043, ext 72. Speak to Sheleatha, she is very helpful.Hopefully, I will be getting a new refrigerator, when I take the letter from the corporate offices to the local store. Will they cooperate? **, I dont know, well see. I have the letter from the corporate offices requesting the local store to replace my refrigerator.

Samsung has very poor customer service, you purchase the product expecting the product to last a while, however, after having it for only 4 months, there are problems. I am not happy with the after purchase customer care, they are not interested in resolving your issues. I was a big fan of Samsung simply because Ive always had numerous Samsung phones, after this issue, I cancelled my phone and purchased an iPhone. I purchased a French door refrigerator RSG309 that has a computerized display, which was my first mistake. I thought, because it was Samsung, it would be okay, I was sadly mistaken. After contacting the customer service center so many times and remaining on hold, being transferred numerous times, having to repeat myself over and over again like a broken record, I gave up. The display does not work, I have to unplug the refrigerator constantly to reboot it so the dispenser can operate properly. This is the worst customer service ever.I am frustrated, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. I definitely plan to seek legal advice because the product is practically new, I purchased an extended warranty and still cant get assistance.

I paid around $2,000 for a Samsung refrigerator from National Appliance chain H.H. Gregg. The refrigerator and freezer stopped working after 18 months. So far neither company is interested in fixing it. The parts take over 1 week to arrive. So far Ive replaced the motherboard and the freezer fan at a cost of $400, and the refrigerator is still not working. I would stay far away from any Samsung refrigerator. They look nice but are total garbage. Seriously, do not buy this junk.

If there was a negative star... thats what I give our four year old dishwasher. It worked okay for the first year, then dishes were always cruddy, even if we carefully rinsed them. We were forever cleaning it the filter, which was never actually dirty, but to no avail. Then, we started getting the dreaded OE error. Wed restart, and it would generally go, though wasting the fill water in drought struck California. Then, it would not work, right before New Years. Repairman came out, correctly diagnosed the problem, replaced the electronics board for $380. Four weeks later, OE flashing again. This time it was the water valve. The repairman did the rest as described by Samsung to diagnose it, as he had the previous time -- I watched. Replaced THAT part, for another $320. Worked once, then OE began flashing. To say that I am LIVID would be an understatement. I called Samsung and got the company line that because it was so old... My last dishwasher lasted 22 years. By the way, we also bought a Samsung refrigerator. Within a year the in-door water began leaking inside the fridge and then freezing under the bottom door, effectively gluing it in place. This, like the OE problem, is a well known problem and Samsung refuses to fix it. NEVER again.

Less than 1 year, all the plastic pieces starts falling off. Samsung said its cosmetic and warranty does not cover. The electric panel broke apart. They replace 1 time. 2 days later the same happen. They said that is also cosmetic! Now 2 years later the fan is making a noise like a boat engine and they said it is not covered - I have to pay for it. I have everthing in the house Samsung, even the names are falling apart! NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT EVER. THEY ARE WORTHLESS!!! DO NOT EVEN TAKE FOR FREE!!! Go Kenmore, or any other brand!! Samsung RF217ACPN leaking issue - Purchased the French door refrigerator in August 2010. It started to leak water inside and bottom of the drawers after about 18 months. We just put a sponge down those areas, and clean the water when it very wet. Then we took all food out and leave all doors opened for a couple days in the summer. Less than 2 weeks, the water drop again and even worse. We then repeat the above procedure and left it dry for 3 days this time in the summer. Nothing was changed. We decided to open the cover locate above the drawers. Then we find out that it seems has been opened and repaired before we purchased it! There is big hole at side of bottom of the foam that have tape to cover it. The metal panel has separated with the foam that used duct tape to connect them. The soft stick tape was broken and covered only 3/4 of the bottom...

If a 0 was available for rating I would rate Samsung with a 0... Never again will they have my business. I purchased my Range glasstop NE59J3420SS at Home Depot on April 2016. Not even a week I was cooking and heard a loud pop noise and removed my pot and saw that the glass was cracked. I immediately called Samsung and the conversation started nicely and was under the impression that they would fix it since the agent told me they would. I send pictures of the damage and of receipt of purchase. They told me they would call me... Never received a call from them. So I called a week later to see what was going on and they had closed my case because no pictures were received they said, which is bs. New agent created a new case number and had to resent everything. She said I had to wait for 3 days and they would call me with an appt sent up for a technician to come and look at it. Again never received a call so called them... They gave me the appt for the technician to come and thought he was gonna fix it. Instead he left with no answers to my questions so called Samsung back and they kept saying they would fix it. Waited and waited and waited and nothing from them. Called again to see what was going on and said again they would send a new technician to look at it. Dont know why. They already seen pictures. But the new technician that came was checking our oven which our oven was working and told him it was the cracked top not the oven and again left with no answers. I called them and said they would call me back. Again they never did. After weeks of waiting for their call I called them back and said it was physical damage and would not be covered. Wtf... Not even a ** week with it and still fully under warranty and they wouldnt fix it. This company is really a ** joke. I was calling them constantly for over 5 months to get this fixed for them to tell me at last that they would not fix it. Very disappointed and frustrated process to go thru with this company. Never ever again will be buying from them. And to make it worst Im still paying Home Depot for this???? PLEASE BE AWARE!!!

I know Samsung makes some good appliances but I got stuck with a lemon and no one wants to take care of the problem. My wife and I purchased 4 Samsung appliances from HHGregg late September of 2013 and spent over $3500.00. No problems with 3 of them but the fridge has been nothing but a pain. First ball bearings fell out of the freezer drawer. Got it fixed. The ice cube maker has been giving us problems since weve had it. To make a long story short we found out it was not sealed properly. Had it fixed I thought, then 3 days later it started doing the same thing but worse. Was without our fridge for 5 days. Been in contact with Samsung for almost a week now and still dont have an answer. They wanted a copy of the invoice thinking they were going to give me a new one. Recd another call last night from Samsung and the lady asked me if the problem with the fridge was fixed after being on the phone the same day with them explaining my problems for the 4th or 5th time. I said you got to be kidding. Dont you people communicate with one another. All I can say is dont have a problem with your Samsung appliances or anything you buy from HHGregg because they will put you through hell trying to get the problem taken care of. After you buy something from HHGregg you’re on your own. They pretty much blew me off. Terrible customer service.

I bought a new Samsung Stainless Steel Range in November 2011. I was away for 3 years and the stove was hardly used. Just got home and was cooking for about two months. It seems to have a problem heating the oven and cooking a small chicken takes much too long. Burned on the top and undercooked below. But the MAJOR issue was my exploding cooktop. I was sitting in the living room. I had just warmed my soup and had turned the cooktop off. I then heard a major explosion... like a gun going off in the kitchen. The cooktop had completely shattered. There was nothing on the stove thank goodness and no glass was projected into the room but it really scared me. I know from reading the other complaints I share customer experiences of poor quality and feeling afraid of your stove. I also know they will tell me the stove is past its warranty. I wont even try. It was defective with only 7 months of real use. Built in obsolescence is alive and well with Samsung.

We have been using this dishwasher for two years and regret the day that we bought it. The only positive thing we can say is that it’s quiet. If you like doing separate loads for plates/small items and a separate load for pots & pans /storage containers then this unit is for you. PROBLEMS: The lower rack at front has a set of three rows of tines that don’t allow for easy placement of small plates. If you try to use the front and middle rows, they are too close to the front of the rack for anything but saucers. (If you use saucers) If you try to use the middle and third row, your small plates interfere with the dinner plates. (The tines for the dinner plates are slanted in the opposite direction from the small plates)Also all the tines have the wrong slant for North American plates. If you try to add a pot, the tines are too close together for it to fit properly. (There is a feature where you can fold down the plate tines to fit the pots but then there is no place for plates.) The upper rack guide roller retainers protrude and cut your hands if you are not careful. If we could afford to toss this dishwasher out, we would have done so on day two! We like it even less after two years.

The first error code (LC) happened about 4 weeks after install. A week wait for a tech, claimed no problem. Happened again about 5 weeks later. Again, no issue found. Happened again - replaced a part. Happened again. You get the picture. Sent a complaint directly to Samsung in May 2018 requesting replacement of faulty machine (Dishwasher 80M9 series). Was told they had only received ONE repair notice from us (we had logged in SEVEN at that point - since WE hadnt paid for any of the service calls, I have to assume Samsung did!). They sent someone out to repair AGAIN. Happened again in June. JUST had repair here to replace two parts - he was 5 minutes away from the house and it happened yet again. HORRIBLE company to deal with. This should truly be a no star review.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF323TEDBSR) less than two years ago and have had three repairs. The latest annoyance was the loud cycling sounds that came from the unit and stopped temporarily when you opened the door. The tech said it is the fan icing up in the back of the unit and replaced. Here we are about 8 months later and it starts up again. Not impressed with Samsung appliances and will never purchase one again.

My Samsung range is perfect. Easy to use & clean. If Samsung made vehicles we would probably have one of those too. I like that it has a convection for baking & roasting. I like the self cleaning oven. The only thing I would change is the oven light shutting off every time I open it to check on whats cooking. I could look through the door, but not only am I old, Im old fashioned and prefer opening the door to see if whats cooking is done. Plus sometimes a toothpick, or knife test must be done to check to see if the food is done.

I bought my a Samsung RS-261MDWP model # refrigerator about 3 years ago from Best Buy. It has been a nightmare. Within the first 6 months I had 5-7 service calls. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty. The ice maker went out, the display board stopped working, they had to replace the motherboard, and a couple other things. Finally, after about 3 months of nonsense and not getting all the repairs done in a timely fashion, I was so fed up that I just walked in to Best Buy and demanded they give me another refrigerator. Of course I got the story that it has nothing to do with them and I would have to call Samsung or their Geek Squad department at their toll free number. I demanded to speak with the store manager or someone in corporate. I told them I have had several different men in my house for the past 5-6 months because the 3rd party company they are using for repairs doesnt know what they are doing and keep sending different people which all say its something else every time. I finally got a higher up manager that agreed that this was ridiculous and gave me whole new refrigerator. It wasnt even 6 months before we had to have a service call on that one. I have even ignored some of the other problems just because I dont want to have to keep calling them because they put you through so much. Today I had no choice because it has begun to make so much noise, it gets louder than the television. I will never buy a Samsung again. It also has started to freeze up, meaning it locks us out from getting water or ice so we have to unplug it for about 1 min so it will reboot. I say its possessed.

RF24FSEDBSR - For the second time, the ice maker is not functioning correctly. The first time it was 4 months out of warranty and service was $160. Service tech walked in the door and quoted the price of the service call as he knew what the problem was since he has serviced a lot of units with the same problem. Now the ice maker is dripping water inside the refrigerator. Great looking and good features, but never would buy it again or any other Samsung product. Reading reviews, this is not a unique problem - why dont they step up and fix or redesign the ice maker unit??

Bought all new appliances Samsung post flood 2011, installed 11/11. Dishwasher brackets break off after 2 years and ruined the pump. And gas slide in convection oven ignitor switch was replaced twice in 7 month period of time. Paid lots of money for these appliances and their junk and I had to replace them. Poor products and Ill advise anyone who will listen not to buy them. I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy for 2 years and mine was finished when this happened. Many consumers do not have money to go out and replace these high end appliances after 4 or 5 years of use.

I am writing this just so other consumers can make an informed decision. I bought this french door refrigerator at a cost of over 1500 dollars Cdn (28.5 inch) expecting a fridge for at least five to ten years... Within a year the bottom shelf cracked and crispers couldnt be used. Within the next year two of the shelves in door cracked and are useless. Replacement costs are prohibitive. The plastic fittings are literally falling apart and not warrantied. I have an expensive fridge that requires duct tape to keep shelving together. Did I get a lemon? Dont know but at two years old, the fridge looks like a write-off.

Purchased a French door black stainless refrigerator from Home Depot in 2016. Paid about $4000 for it. The ice maker never really worked well. It leaked constantly causing calcium buildup on the catch tray. Wasn’t too long after that it began to mold around the seal. Eventually it froze up and wouldn’t make ice. I called and it was 2 weeks after year warranty expires. They offered a one time extension. The ice maker was replaced then not even 6 months later I’m having the same issue. I called to complain and was treated poorly. Told they already gave me an extension and asked how long did we expect them to be responsible for my refrigerator, 20 yrs? With sarcasm. Should have bought the LG. Will never buy ANY Samsung products again!

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DMR78AHS in November of 2010. Within the first couple of months the upper rack vertical adjustment clips broke. On November 2011 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code. A service man was sent out and ended up replacing the sensor level. Within a week the dishwasher started making this loud grinding noise. The noise eventually went away. November 2012 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code again. The sensor level was replaced again. October 28th 2013, dishwasher started 9E faults again. I will either replace the sensor level or buy another dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher.

My Samsung refrigerator was ordered from Home Depot and scheduled for delivery on 12/2/2013 by 11am. At noon on 12/2/2013, I called Samsung at 855-681-6917 to find out what the delay was. I was told by Samsung that the delivery date had been moved to 12/3/2013 and given no reason for the delay. Later, I received the automated call telling me my new delivery time on 12/3/2013. At 9:30am on 12/3/2013, a representative named Trey from Samsung told me that my unit was damaged and would not be delivered. He would get back with me within 48 hours to let me know my new delivery date. Well, no one called so I called them three days later to find out the status of my delivery. They said it would be 3/4/2014 before I could get my new fridge. Sorry guys, but no one keeps my money for 3 months with no performance. I will cancel my order on 12/9/2013. Also note that when I place the fridge in my shopping cart on the Home Depot site, it shows an estimated delivery date in January. Whats wrong with this picture??? Its a big fat lie. Samsung has a problem delivering and I dont know why. I cant imagine what service would be like after the sale. Im done with Samsung appliances.

Bought the refrigerator (Model RF263AEBP) and electric range in August 2010 and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator since we bought it. Same problems as everyone else is having, freezer has ice accumulation and ice maker quit working. Ice accumulation in the vents in the refrigerator causing water to settle under the drawers and on the kitchen floor. Refrigerator and freezer quit cooling. Repairman finally came out the first of December and told us it has a Freon leak but would have to come back and do a dye test to see where leak is. In the meantime he did something to mess up the compressor so he had to order a new one (Thank goodness it was still in warranty). This was before Christmas. Set an appointment to come back January 16, 2015, to replace compressor. Advised us that he would change out some parts (that we had to pay for) but in probably 4 years we will have the same problems because it would be out of Freon again. Guess they cant fix the leak. If the leak cant be fixed it seems like they would replace the refrigerator. Could not go through Christmas without a refrigerator so we had to buy a new one and believe me it was not a Samsung. I have noticed the last time I did the self clean on the oven, it did not even clean it good. Will not buy another Samsung.

Samsung Model RFG297HDWP/XAA. The unit is a three door bottom freezer I purchased in November of 2013 from Sears. I had the ice maker repaired once and then replaced. It is Junk and a terrible flaw in design. In addition the Fridge has shut down at least Three times for no apparent reason. I came home one evening and opened the door to find the lights working but it seemed warm. I have two thermometers installed which showed the interior temp at 60 degrees. I opened the freezer drawer and that was also not cold. I hit the Digital display and it showed the set point at 36 and after a few seconds flashed the actual reading of 60 degrees - Freezer flashed a reading of 30 degrees. I called Samsung tech support and did what they asked me to do. I unplugged it for over a minute. Plugged it back in. Nothing. I put it in power cool mode. Nothing. After around 30 minutes I heard the compressor kick in. Amazing. This has happened three times that I know of... I was gone for three months last summer. Who knows?? I had purchased the master Protection Agreement from Sears, Thank God. A service Tech came out and just so he didnt think I was crazy. I took a video of the digital displayed temperature readings. He was here for more than two hours, ordered several boards and said to call when the boards arrived. They arrived and I called and a different Service Tech came out and tried to install the boards only to tell me they were the wrong parts and he didnt think the fridge needed both boards anyway. I told him That I would rather he change out both than take a chance and that maybe Sears should communicate with the first tech on this issue of what boards need to be replaced. I am not confident that this will solve the problem. It is a Manufacturing defect and Samsung should be held liable.Updated on 10/31/2016: I just had the fridge repaired on October 19, 2016. The fridge would shut down randomly for no apparent reason. The Sears tech diagnosed and ordered two new circuit boards. Eleven days later the problem came back. This time it is tripping the circuit breaker when shutting down. The one thing that is different now is the motor or fan is constantly running for hours and hours before the shutdown and the tripped breaker. I called Samsung and they are of no help. When will they help us consumers who are stuck with lemons that have cost them over two thousand dollars.

We bought a DD68-00143A_MES about 6 months ago. Since day one we noticed that it simply did not work as well as our old one (was not a Samsung) we had for over 10 years. At first I thought we were just not loading the dishes correctly because they were not clean. So for several weeks we tried to move dishes all over the place and nothing helped. Then we thought maybe it was the dishwasher detergent (even though we had used it for years with no problems, I thought maybe they changed the formula without us knowing it) so we tried all kinds of detergents and nothing helped! So as many of you that have complaints about the washer being the worst ever, I tend to agree. Other things we have noticed is there is this smell that comes from it. At first I thought it was our hard water (we are on rural water) but then I read some other peoples comments and see its not only us that noticed it. We have also noticed that many dishes are stained with something and we cannot remove the stain no matter how we try! Another thing is that I do not think the person that designed (its a laugh to even think someone would really use the word designed) the racks to hold the dishes has ever washed a dish in their life! NOTHING FITS! Its a chore to try and find places to put the dishes to wash them. One last thing. As like most of you we have come to the same conclusion that we will never buy Samsung again! I am however a little different than most of you. I own a lot of rental properties, and I bet you can guess the type of dishwasher that will NEVER BE PUT IN MY HOUSE OR MY RENTAL PROPERTIES! EVER!

The Samsung microwave SMH8165ST was purchased approximately 2 years ago from Lowes. First the light kept coming on and off by itself for a day or two. We unplugged overnight, same thing. Then the SE code came on. We looked online and there were many, many complaints about the SE code and at the same age of microwave as ours. Some people suggested taking off the touch board, replugging everything and putting it back. For some it worked. We simply plugged and unplugged the wires inside, replaced. Now the microwave is completely dead. Customer service just gave me a number to buy a new keypad. No more Samsung for us.

Samsung refrigerator model #RF263BEAEWW. It has now been 3 1/2 years since I have owned this refrigerator and the door continues to rust. I placed a call to Samsung one year ago and was told that it is merely cosmetic and therefore isnt covered. I believe it is some sort of manufacturing defect! Its a shame to spend $1,800 on a refrigerator that is rusting. I have had to baby the machine and make sure it never gets wet around the ice maker and etc. to keep it from really getting bad. By the way, my refrigerator is white and not stainless like some of the others that are rusting. I also own a Samsung front load washer and within the first year of owning it, I had to have it serviced twice. They finally had to replace a pretty expensive part. Never again Samsung!! Upon cleaning the oven the letters showing the Samsung Logo immediately peeled off. (My thought is because Samsung was ashamed of the poorly made product they were selling they chose not to be identified with it.) Within the next six months the item was serviced several times due to problems with the stove top as well as the oven not reaching and maintaining the temperature. Now slightly after 3 years the oven is inoperable. The convection does not work. I need to invest money to get it back running. A product costing $999.00 should last a bit longer without all of this maintenance. Does the lemon law apply in this case? I almost feel like it should. Very disappointed with the Samsung product.

I have a Samsung French Door refrigerator in white and just started noticing what at first looked like food or grime on the front left door at the bottom of the ice maker where it fits into the door. I started cleaning it and couldnt believe it - it was RUST! I have never seen rust on a new refrigerator. I purchased it in Jan 2013 from Pacific Sales. The ice maker drips constantly and the fridge makes a loud buzzing noise sometimes. I wanted to see if anyone else was having this same trouble before I call Samsung, and I can see that a lot of customers have the exact same problems as me. Im not sure what to do at this point because I know its out of warranty now. Another possibly dangerous situation - now that the paint is coming off where the rust is, Ive already shocked myself touching where the bare metal is. Refrigerator mod # RF28HMEDBBC/AA - From the first day of having ice, it took FOREVER to get a glass of ice out of it. I called customer service after 2 weeks of use and had them listen to the ice come out and how long it took and she said oh that is normal. The ice comes out in a half crushed half cubed form and I told her THAT is not normal. After trying to convince her that I was over 70 years old and have had ice maker the last 40 years and I know how they are supposed to work and this one sucks and I got extremely frustrated with her I hung up. 4 month later I called back in because the ice maker was freezing up on the inside and outside. They sent a repairman out that totally blew off the first appointment and the second appointment but showed up for the third one but didnt have the parts needed and had to order them. Showed up with those parts, replaced them. After a week it started freezing again. I called back in and they replaced the internals again and two weeks later it froze again and they replaced it again with an upgrade of gaskets on the ice maker along with the internals of the ice maker again. It took almost 36 hours to fill the ice maker and it still comes out half crushed and half cubed. Yikes. It has made a loud noise since we have had it and all of them say this is NORMAL!!! REALLY. The refrigerator part has worked great. The shelving totally sucks for placement of items. NOTHING fits anywhere. Would I buy another one? Not only no but hell no!!! Freezer part is great and no complaints with it. I certainly hope this helps anyone looking to purchase a Samsung French door refrigerator.

We bought our refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes. We too were told they were good refrigerators. Within 6 months, the seal around the freezer came loose and the glass on the meat door cracked. We had to pay for the meat door but the seal was under warranty. Then we kept getting water under the meat tray and sometimes it would be a thick sheet of ice. We thought we were opening the door too much or something. Then one day it started making this loud grumbling sound, like it was going to rattle right out the door. Afraid it would get ruined we turned it off and called a repairman. He had just recently had the same problem with another customer so knew right away what the problem was.The coils, fan, and behind the whole back cover was all ice. The drain was also frozen so the water was running into the bottom of the meat drawer. He had to blow dry it to get the back cover off, then blow dry the drain and the coils. That was a month ago. Today we had to call him back. He again had to thaw out the back panel and the upper right fan had over an inch of ice around it. He said he thought the fan and coils were too far away from the heating element to efficiently thaw the ice and it just builds up. Having read these concerns of others regarding the same problems, I think Samsung has the responsibility to figure out a way to resolve this problem. We have all paid too much money on what we thought would be a quality product to only pay out more for repairmen who tells me this will be a recurring problem.

My range worked fine until a week ago when we heard a very loud pop and the range completely shut down. We spoke with Samsung and they will not do anything about it. If you want to spend thousands on an appliance that will not last more than 2-3 years, Samsung appliances are for you. I am very surprised that a company as successful as Samsung has not recalled these potentially hazardous and outright disastrous products. One can assume, based on their lack of taking care of these problems, that within 3 years Samsung will no longer be selling appliances. I bought a Samsung refrigerator. I paid $1,200 and after 3 months it began to give me problems with the water dispenser and ice maker. It began making very loud noises. I called Samsung and they keep telling me to do the same thing until now after 1 year the guarantee is over and now they are telling me I have to pay to have someone come see it and it has been the problem since we bought it. I really would not recommend Samsung appliances to anybody.

I bought a Samsung Appliance Package from Home Depot. Dishwasher - junk - replaced after 6 months with KitchenAid. Refrigerator ice maker freezes up multiple times. Repair dude comes out, defrosts, mumbles something about airleak, put caulk in. Ice maker still freezes up. Notice that ice is coming out of back panel. Force defrost - nope. Repair dude again - removes all shelves and pulls back panel - block of ice. Informs me that this model has icing up issues. Multiple ice maker freezes ups and rear panel freeze up over the following year. Finally had enough and ordered LG which is awesome. The most sad part is Home Depot charged me $25.00 to make this defective junkbox away.

Purchased Samsung rf217acpn in 2010, had problems from very beginning. Had to put in a new computer as old was bad. That was a little over a year since I bought brand new. Had to replace the door guides in the freezer and the seal around freezer door. That was in the first year. I was really upset. Called corporate office and they said you had to have 3 unrelated defects before they would consider replacing with new refrigerator. Last 2 yrs water under drawers, ice & freezing food on back panel. Defrosting manually. Cant imagine they are still selling thousands of this defective product. Borders on criminal.

Ive owned a SXS Samsung Refrigerator for 2 years. I bought it based on reviews of excellence. The refrigeration system itself works fine, but the ice maker is now called the Monster. The ice flies all over the floor regardless of the container/glass I use. And today, the ice jammed in the release element, backing up in the freezer. When it unjammed, about 6 cups of ice came pouring out at once. I guess Samsung makes some fine products, but refrigerators are not one of them.

I told them absolutely not, it would be replaced. The fridge was replaced week of Thanksgiving. The problem is that this new fridge the shelves are all cracked as though there is some type of defect in manufacturers plastic. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 400 LTR from Vaishali, **. From the start, the problem was that the upper portion of the fridge is ice-deposited and the lower portion is warm and the vegetable, etc. gets spoiled. When I complained, the person guided me on phone, around six months back, and said that if I switch off the refrigerator for one night, it will be okay, and this worked. But time and again this problem arises. It is the defect of the Samsung technology and why should I suffer> When I complained, they say that the engineer will come and charge 400 Rs for visit, in my view the basic defect should be removed by Samsung free of charges, or they place my fridge with a new one . I purchased it around 20 months back.

Samsung dishwasher DMT800 RHB - We bought this dishwasher less than six months ago. Nothing but trouble. After four months, the pump went out. The pump replacement part was out of stock. It took two weeks to get repaired. The repairman fixed it, but it is much louder now than it was before. The repair was completed last week. Now it is not cleaning dishes - they go in dirty and come out dirty. When you call for service, they keep you on hold for fifteen minutes. Stay away from Samsung.

This product lasted about 13 months. The warranty is 12 months. The refrigerator starting making this loud horrible racket which turned out to be the infamous ice dam hitting the fan. We removed all the food and defrosted it. This quieted it down again. Three months later the noise is back and were spending another weekend fixing it. We cannot afford another fridge so were stuck with this cycle for now. Do not buy Samsung Products. They are defective and they do not stand by them when they break.

The stove is great and the heating element works well. I like the flexibility provided by having multiple pot sizes on each eye of the range as it provides for quick and even heating without any overkill. The range dials and oven buttons have a nice click when depressed, which I prefer compared to my old stove that didnt have much feedback when using. The oven also has a convection feature that I greatly appreciate as well. My only complaint on my stove is that for some reason the oven light blows quickly regardless of how often you use it. The unit was manufactured (read, assembled, as the compressor is made in Korea) in Mexico on Jan 2010. We purchased in March 2010 - over the course of these 4 years, weve had several times when the unit stopped cooling. This last time it has stopped all together. Repairman came to look and told me the compressor isnt working. I asked how much to fix and he said good luck finding someone to do the work as the copper has to be cut, the refrigerant has to be captured, new compressor installed, new solder onto the coils and recharge the coolant. At a minimum he said wed be looking at $400 in labor alone and the new compressor costs $250. Oh and thats only a guess because the problem could be within the electrical system but he (the repairman) couldnt test the computers that control the unit. The thing that totally gets me, as others here have posted, is that older units (which ours is out in the garage and still working like a champ even though for the past five years its survived sub zero winters while still running) is that the new unit is already failing, the cost for repair we might as well buy a new unit and that the manufacturer only has a 12-month warranty - complete crap. I used the online tool to get a repair referral from off of Samsungs website - no call back, no email, nothing. I called and left voice mail to the same, referred to repair shop and still no call back.

Called Samsung technician to repair leaking refrigerator. Every time it went into defrost mode it would leak water, a little when I first purchased it, then much worse. Refrigerator is nearly two yrs old, so is out of warranty. I am a retired Engineer, so did some reading and found the problem to be a smaller than required heat sink (Samsung calls it a drain clip). This heat sink is suppose to keep the defrost drain from frosting up. Took technician 30 minutes to replace this part with the correct size. Per tech, he gets a lot of this work. Here is my problem, should a company like Samsung be charging the consumer for their design flaw? The cost was $173, part cost was $10 dollars.Called Samsung ECR (Executive Customer Rep), explained that this was not a repair or a fix, but a correction to a design flaw. I thought Samsung would want to stand behind their product, but all she would say was that it was out of warranty. The model # RF263BEAESP/AA. There must be thousands of these out there with this known design flaw. I hope this review helps someone if they are looking for a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I wont be buying any Samsung products in near future.

This 16-month-old Samsung microwave had the dreaded SE error code. I tried unplugging it to recycle and nothing worked. After reading all of the reviews, I knew I was doomed. I called Sears only to find out it was a common problem. And, as the previous complaints say, it will cost more than a brand new one to fix. I also read where it was a known problem with the keyboard circuit and yet Samsung still would not give the consumer a break by recalling it. I then read one entry in Google regarding the problem which said to hold the cancel and reset button down at the same time. I didnt have those buttons, but held down the clear and start buttons at the same time - say 3 seconds, at most. Well, I held on for dear life for about 20 seconds. All of a sudden, the unit started beeping. I let go - and oh, my God, it reset! It seems to be working fine now! This is obviously a scam by someone. Otherwise, why is this fix not mentioned anywhere? It looks like I stumbled across a $300 secret. Hopefully, this helps others. By the way, even if a tech came out and was able to do the same thing, it still would have cost the $75. What a shame.

I remodeled my kitchen and bought all new appliances for continuity. Samsung had a special going on with interest free purchase so bought their refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. I am having difficulties with their dishwasher and refrigerator. Lets talk about the dishwasher first (model number DW80J3020US). This dishwasher does not work well at all. I pre-rinse before I load and yet it does not wash dishes clean unless on heavy wash with sanitize option. Even then, sometimes the dishes are not clean. I called Samsung customer service and we did some troubleshooting over the phone. That did not work, so she sent someone to look at the dishwasher. The repair man came. He was super rude and short, he turned it on then turned it off and said nothing is wrong with the dishwasher. I need to buy a different dish washing soap. I told him that the soap would not cause the dishes to have black particles on the dishes also that I pre-rinse. He stated that Samsung only recommends the use of one type of soap. Then he told me that if I call to waste his time again then there would be a charge. My refrigerator (model number RF23HCEDBSR/AA) is only one year old and the ice maker is not working. I called Samsung and the customer service rep. stated that I need adjust the leveling of the fridge and check that my water supply is enough to the fridge. She claimed that the front of the fridge must be higher than the back. I did as she told me yet. NO ICE and the water trickles out. I told her this and she insisted that it is my fault. I asked her to send someone out and she said I would be charged. I WOULD NEVER recommend any of Samsungs products to anyone.

This is the second French Door Samsung fridge I have bought, and it will be the LAST Samsung product EVER to be in my house. The first french door one was perfect. I purchased model # RF263AEWP from Lowes in Dec. 2011. Bought an extended warranty, that was a waste of $. Cant get anyone to come out. There is only one company in the East Bay of San Francisco that will come out my way for warranty work and they have lots of complaints on Yelp. They must all know the problems and dont want to bother? The water pools at the bottom of the fridge, the icemaker works when it wants, frost buildup on the back wall of fridge, etc. Today the final straw was the horrific fan noise that stops when the doors open, and then resumes when the doors are closed. With open concept kitchens, the noise is extremely annoying. I am going to throw in the towel and get a new one, even though I cant afford it. Too bad there is not a designation for negative stars! My side-by-side Samsung refrigerator, model RS265TDRS, was purchased in December 2010, so its about 3.5 years old. Very expensive unit. It started making noise sounding like a generator - so loud, I was afraid something was breaking in there. When I opened the refrigerator door it would stop, then start again when the door was closed. We moved the food into another refrigerator and freezer, unplugged this unit, and made arrangements with Samsung for a service call. (That itself was an adventure: Samsung rep never responded to email; the phone number in the refrigerator manual was for mobile phone service; the online form for a service request didnt work under several browsers. Finally used live chat and had the chat rep fill out the service request for me.)Two weeks later, I plugged in the unit in preparation for the service techs visit. No noise. The service tech called me to confirm the appointment, then suggested we cancel the service call, because (a) with no noise, he cant really diagnose a problem; (b) chances are it was just ice build-up and may never happen again; (c) removing the panel to get at the fan means removing all tech, because everything is attached to the panel, and that means replacing the panel because you cant just put it back on after its been taken off; and (d) something like his labor and the panel wouldnt be covered by warranty anyway after 3.5 years. These are expensive refrigerators. I like lots of things about it, but I think its ridiculous that I should have to unplug my refrigerator every now and then to make sure ice doesnt build up, and its ridiculous that this problem wouldnt be covered under a warranty. For anyone who has the same fan-sounds-like-a-generator problem, unplug it for a while and save yourself the hassle of getting in touch with Samsung. Im really hoping this solves the problem.
