This French door fridge was bought 2 years ago. First 3 weeks the ice bucket was not properly closing. The ice keeps getting stuck inside thus it would not make any if this is not physically pried out. They replaced the bucket and it was fine. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (dont know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work). By the time I came home the temp screen was blinking and my sister said it has been like that all day! I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that wont open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really thats not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators. SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now. And really, I had the GE one before this, the old conventional no-nonsense fridge that I gave to the men to haul away and boy, my husband blamed me for doing that. That GE had no issues for many years that we had it other than we just wanted a fridge with the ice maker/water dispenser!! Talk about wasting $1900.00 on a SAMSUNG crap!

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

On 8/11/2010, I bought a Samsung 264 L capacity fridge from Electrical Discounters in Port Augusta. In about Aug 2012, my fridge broke down. No worries, Samsung took about 2 weeks to repair using a local technician. The local technician was very hesitant to take on any more Samsung warranty claims as he has had problems in the past. He was kind enough to replace the timer defroster at the back of the fridge. I lost over $300 worth of food. In the end of October, my fridge broke down again. I expressed my concern as it is a 2-year warranty coverage that expired on 8/11/12. Samsung acknowledged this (apparently noted this) because as far as I am aware, there is only one fridge technician in Port Augusta, hence my cause for concern. The problem - exactly the same as the first time it broke. Again, the timer was replaced after another 2 weeks without a working fridge. I was never contacted by Samsung. I have initiated the calls and contact on every occasion. You can imagine my frustration when on 26 December 2012, items in my fridge were growing mold and my ice cream in the freezer was almost liquid (semi-soft). I refused to believe so I waited a day before reporting it thinking maybe there had been a power outage that I did not know about overnight. I reported the fault on either 27th or 28th December to Samsung. Samsungs solution - you need a technician to look at it. It is exactly the same problem as the 1st and 2nd time. And now the technician refuses to play any further part in dealing with my fridge or Samsung. As far as I am aware, there are no other fridge technicians in Port Augusta. The closest would be Whyalla or Port Pirie. I struggle to imagine them making a single trip for my Samsung fridge only. I have since called Samsung 4 times inquiring as to my status as I have never received a phone call from them updating me on my status. I was informed that a technician would need to examine the fridge and now, after just getting off the phone with them, they advise that a technician will look at repairing the fridge. I have expressed my desire at having the fridge replaced but now that no technician in Port Augusta is willing to deal with Samsung, I am left at a loss. The replacement of a fridge leaves me inevitably frustrated as I am concerned I will be given another dodgy Samsung fridge with no one to repair it. I have made Samsung aware of these concerns to which they note but never contact or update and to be told that a technician is looking at repairing my fridge (which has broken down 3 times in the past 6 months) is upsetting.I have given Samsung ample opportunity to update me and liaise with me but as you can see, my frustrations are continually growing as I now do not want a Samsung fridge. I would like my money back as they are not offering me a suitable alternative. I was advised by email on Jan. 4 that a case manager has been assigned to me complaint but I have yet to hear further from them. Please help me. All I want is a working fridge that I can rely on.

Broke within the 1st year, a stuck float. Got it fixed, float got stuck again but this time out of warranty. My husband has had to pull the dishwasher out to fix 3 times in 4 years! If it actually cleaned dishes I wouldnt be so royally peeved but this dishwasher doesnt even clean dishes. Every load I am soaking dishes with dried on stuff and I rinse my dishes before putting them in. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER!! Or refrigerator for that matter. That is another discussion but their refrigerators are awful too!

Purchased a stove approx. 30 days ago, surface area on 2 burners peeling. Samsung sent a service center to assess and they apparently reported that it is physical damage. Im still questioning the physical damage from what? I contacted Samsung and was told that it is not covered under the warranty. The service advisor did inform that the peeling was a common problem with the stove but Samsung does not want to honor the repairs or take the onus.

5 years ago we purchased a Samsung top-of-the-line dishwasher. Fortunately we purchased an extended Service Warranty from Samsung. This gave us a total of 5 years of warranty. Samsung was here for 12 different Service calls and probably spent over $2500.00 keeping this dishwasher running. Now that the warranty is off I tossed this Samsung dishwasher in the scrap metal pile. PLEASE, NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a Samsung appliance.

I bought this refrigerator because of the high tech features. For weeks I tried to sync my calendar from my phone to the refrigerator screen with no success. I admit I am not that savvy on tech, but I had two people who are and they gave up. I had the box for less than a year. The lock on the water/ice control comes on and you have to go through the screen to find the lock and unlock it. For the second time, the dispenser will not toggle from ice to water. The entire part was replace less than a month ago and I am having the same problem. I love the idea of high tech and the integration but clearly, if you cant get a Samsung phone to sync with the Samsung refrigerator there is a problem. This was NOT a cheap unit so I am frustrated to pay so much and have nothing but problems. The customer service is terrible. They always tell you to reboot the computer or turn off the refrigerator and refresh it by plugging it back in after a minute. Easier said than done. The refrigerator is in a cabinet and I have to roll it out and squeeze in to unplug it and plug it in again. I had a Kenmore for 15 years and never had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. I am very dissatisfied with this appliance.

Our Samsung FE-R300SX is 3 years old and we heard a loud pop and saw flames and smoke shooting out the back of the range. The circuit board caught fire. Samsung will not cover any of the expenses. Thankfully we saw it right away and our kitchen did not catch fire. This range should be recalled for safety. My husband and I were headed out the door when we heard the loud pop and saw the flames. We were baking Tater Tots and had the oven timer on. Our son was in his room playing video games and was going to turn off the oven when the timer went off. Our kitchen would have been on fire before he would have noticed a problem. We paid almost $700 for this range on sale and it is only 3 years old. We are very unhappy customers and will never buy anything Samsung again. They didnt even call me back about the problem. They sent an email to say they were sorry it caught fire, but they set me up for an out of warranty repair that I will have to pay for. I called them back and was told that I had no recourse and they would not cover the repair. Even thought there is a 5-year parts warranty, it does not cover the circuit board which caught fire.

Once the item is sold, Lowes refers all responsibility to their (I quote) We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

In 2012, I purchased a Samsung microwave, electric stove/range, and refrigerator. During the first year, the control panel on the refrigerator stopped working three times. Fortunately, the refrigerator was under the one-year warranty, and Samsung paid to have the panel replaced each time. So far, I have had no further problems with the refrigerator. Within five years, the handle on the microwave pulled off. Within two years of purchasing the stove, the oven completely stopped working. The cost to repair was nearly as much as a new stove plus the repairman could not guarantee when the parts would arrive from overseas. I decided to purchase another stove and stuck with the same Samsung model as it matched the other appliances in my kitchen. Who could imagine (not me!) that within two years, the ceramic stove-top, for absolutely no reason, would crack and shatter. I can understand occasional problems with manufactured products, but to have all four appliances perform so poorly within five years is indicative of gross incompetence and poor workmanship on the part of Samsung.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator exactly 2 years ago. It has been broken (not cooling) for 3 weeks. At first I was told it was the computer board.. I ordered the part... waited a week... and it didnt fix it (& of course this part isnt covered so Im out the $150). Then I called them back and was told it was a relay switch. Another $50 & another week waiting on parts... and guess what?!?! It comes and didnt fix it! It has to be the compressor and Im told I will have to wait ANOTHER week for someone to come out to fix it. All of my food was ruined and I have 3 kids and we are presently living out of 1 small cooler! Very unacceptable if you ask me! I am getting rid of all Samsung devices and appliances that I have and moving on to better companies! Consumers beware!

We purchased a Samsung stove/oven 4 years ago. After 2 years the oven would not heat to the desired temperature (Took 2 hours to get to 400 or more, if it even did). Had a very hard time getting anyone to even work on a Samsung appliance. Finally found a very reputable repairman in the area willing to repair it and he told us this is an ongoing issue with them. Faulty igniter that goes out. He fixed it - $250... (no guarantees - saying it could work 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 years?). It lasted 2 years. I am done. Went and bought a recommended Whirlpool. Samsung has very good electronics (I have had my Samsung Edge for 6 years, DVR for 8 years), but terrible appliances. Dont buy any Samsung appliances!!! I have nothing to gain by writing this review. I never have before, but I am so disappointed and upset by the waste of $!!!

I purchased an 9187 OTC Microwave in 2010. In 2012 and again in 2014, I have had to replace the control panel due to the 5E error. Samsung insists this is normal, that the electronics routinely fail during the life of the appliance. I have tried isolating the ribbon cable as suggested by some comments, without success. Ditto for unplugging and cleaning the leads to the keypad. Dont want your stove to catch on fire or your house? Dont buy a Samsung Smooth Top Stove with Double oven. I learned that hhgregg sold me a Self-Cleaning Oven by Samsung but did not disclose I cant use it because it gets too hot & locks. Only a Tech can unlock it if it has not burned 1st. I purchased it (3/2015). Samsung cant figure out how one can self clean the oven! I was told NOT to use that feature. Use EASY OFF instead. True. hhgregg in Columbia SC at Harbison Blvd. was not helpful when I asked to exchange the stove for a make where the stove does not catch my house on fire or explodes. Google complaints against Samsung. Its not an isolated case. hhgregg sells a self cleaning oven that can catch on fire but does not disclose that! Buyer BEWARE!UPDATED ON 09/24/2015: Update on my original complaint: I contacted Samsung twice and explained what I had learned on this site about the Samsung stove NE58F9710WS and also that the tech they sent to my house told me NOT TO USE THE SELF-CLEANING function as the stove gets too hot and locks up. He then was to come out to fix it. Instead to use Easy Off to clean it. I have not used Easy Off to clean any of our ovens for a very long time. Why do I buy a stove that is self-cleaning if I cant use it? With installation $2,500 and clean it myself? Next step is the Federal Trade Commission, to let them know that this is false advertisement and a hazard for sure. They need to recall this stove. Second call from their service tech was to tell me why should he come out when we both already know the answer and Samsung does nothing. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT if you hate to be aggravated and waste your money. They dont care about their customers and do not service them well! Piece of junk. Top scratched when my husband moved a pot from one side to the other and I cannot get it clean for the life of me. I had several smooth stove tops and they came out as sparkling clean. Not this one. Buyer BEWARE!

The ice maker in our refrigerator initially leaked. A repair tech changed the seal to the outer door and suggested not using crushed ice. The ice maker then starting building up a lot of frozen water and the ice cubes jammed when they went to drop. A repair tech applied silicone sealant around the exterior of the ice box. The ice maker continued to jam. A repair tech replaced the electrical board that would help the ice maker defrost and not build up ice. The ice maker then quit making ice cubes. A repair tech said the ice box should be changed. This could not be done because no part number could be made. Another repair tech said the ice maker needed replacement, but he could not remove the ice box because of the sealant. Another repair tech replaced the ice maker by removing one screw and not touching the ice box. The ice maker is making ice but now the ice will not come out of the ice maker. For a $3000 refrigerator this is a terrible ice maker and even worse instructions for repair technicians. Samsung will not stand behind making repairs beyond the first year. The extended warranty company has done everything they can to make it difficult to accomplish repairs.

This is a beautiful refrigerator with some handy features. I had been hesitant to buy one because of all the ice-maker problems I was reading about. I was told at the store that the 2019 models had ice-makers that were redesigned so not to worry. My refrigerator was installed almost 4 days ago. The ice-maker is working, but it makes VERY LITTLE ice at one time and takes FOREVER to make another batch. The ice is stored in a bin that is not easily accessible. Ice must be accessed primarily by using the water/ice feature on the front of the door. There is no bin one can reach into. Part of the ice-maker must be pulled out of the refrigerator in order to reach your hand in to empty all ice. I heave read reviews from various consumers debating the ice volume issue. I had read that many thought the ice production was fine. IT IS NOT. If you enjoy ice in your drinks, you would barely have enough for a family of four. Then, it takes forever for it to be replenished. I live in Texas. It is hot here more often than not. We like plenty of ice in our drinks. This refrigerator is not up to the task. In fact, I have never seen an ice bin so small or one that you couldnt reach in and get the ice easily. This was an expensive purchase. Had I known about this redesigned ice-makers limitations, I would never have bought it. I will need to routinely purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer at all times. Other than the ice-maker, I have no other complaints at this time.

Purchased this refrigerator in 6/2011. In March of 2013, a problem started with the water dripping into the vegetable bin & under it (one side only). Reported the problem to Samsung and an order for repair was submitted. There were two subsequent visits within a two month period by the same repairman but whatever adjustments and parts that he replaced, the problem has not been solved. I called Samsung and since I did not purchase the Extended Warranty, they would not pursue this any further. They did ask if I wanted to purchase the Warranty now. I refused. Since I have reviewed the issues of other consumers, I feel that Samsung should review and investigate this problem and repair or replace whatever is necessary to resolve this matter.

It is the largest microwave I have ever owned by far, but the main reason I purchased was the online ratings and reviews. Just like everybody here, I got this error for my Samsung microwave (model SMH9187W), which is just a bit over two years old. I arranged for service myself by a Samsung authorized service company. The repair cost $205.90. The company diagnosed the microwave as needing a new keypad. While waiting for the company to come back with the part and install it, I contacted Samsung about getting reimbursed for the problem. To my surprise, they did have a program in place to reimburse people, but only if you arranged for service through them and only if it was the control panel. If it turned out to be the keypad, they wouldnt pay. My service person came back, installed the keypad (which he said was the recommended fix in Samsungs own manual for repairmen) and my microwave now works. I contacted Samsung again because the invoice from the repair company says they actually replaced the electronic control board. I think the repair person is maybe using the terms interchangeably. At any rate, Samsungs new excuse for not paying me now has nothing to do with how my microwave was repaired, but because they have no way to reimburse me; despite the fact that I have a detailed invoice, that the repair fixed the problem and that it was performed by an authorized Samsung repair company. I just wrote a letter to the CEO and told him I would never, ever buy another Samsung product.

The microwave fan and over the range light go on randomly at all hours of the day. Samsung came and replaced the control panel and it worked for a while, then the same thing is happening. I called and Samsung said the warranty has run out so I would have to pay for the repair. I feel the control panel is a faulty design and since the problem reoccurs there is no sense in replacing it. The TV sound bar shuts off two times a day at random times.

We have had nothing but problems with our Samsung refrigerator model RF24J996054. We have to defrost the ice maker at least every other week. The ice is soft, and gets stuck when dispensing. Further, the bin to store ice, does not hold enough ice to make it worthwhile. We are thankful that we have our old Jenn-Air in the garage. It is a workhorse. It is sad after spending sooo much money on a new refrigerator, we are traveling back and forth to the garage to get ice. We are in the middle of yet another repair, and have been waiting over two months for the part. I called today, again, and am being told that the part is not available. Really? So now what do we do? Samsung makes a poorly executed product, then doesnt have the parts to fix it? I will never buy another Samsung product again, and would not recommend Samsung to anyone. They dont even deserve the one star.

From the time we purchase the refrigerator, there were problems with non-functioning icemaker, leaking water that froze at the bottom of the inside compartment, and worst of all, a refrigerator that when set on 44 degrees would freeze down below 32 degrees! I would not recommend this refrigerator or anything that Samsung makes to anyone. I am boycotting everything they make unless they refund me the $1,850 that I threw away buying this piece of crap.

This is the first dishwasher I have ever had with stainless steel inside. Is this the reason Im having problem with mold growing on my dishes? All other dishwashers I have had, left dishes in longer not rinsed that good. Never had mold grow on them. It made me so sick to see this the first time, every dish had mold growing. Good thing there wasnt that many in there. Took them out soaked in bleach. I read my book it said run it once a week, I have been. Run the dishwasher with bleach, then run it again with dishwasher detergent, without dishes. I thought it wouldnt happen again but it did. So disappointed in this dishwasher. Has anyone else had this problem? After the first time I told my husband to be sure to rinse them good. Well it did happen. Bought this dishwasher Jan. 2016, only 8 months old.

I have had this refrigerator (Samsung RF217ACBP) for a little over two years. We have had to fix the ice maker twice because it keeps making ice even when the ice bin is full, then it malfunctions. We figured this out; now we just shut it off every night. A few months ago, we noticed that the veggie crisper has water in it. Now it is so bad that I cannot use the crisper. After research, I realized that it is a known issue. Samsung admitted to me that it is a known problem, but since my warranty is out, I would have to pay to have it fixed. Hows that for great service. I am chalking it up to dont ever buy a Samsung!

Samsung is a terrible choice for a stove- we bought a high end stove in Dec 2009 and now the inner burner of the triple burner is not working. The replacement burner is no longer being made so the entire appliance (true convection, warming drawer costed $1800 dollars) is useless. The fact that Samsung is aware that burners crack over time, and they dont make them is absurd. Its like buying a car that has obsolete parts in less than 9 years- this stove burner broke 6 months ago. I am appalled and should add that many appliance technicians dont even service Samsung- bad reputation regarding replacement parts. Dont buy Samsung.

Samsung has the absolute worst customer service. Their products fail, and Samsung does not take responsibility for design defects that result in multiple failures, even after multiple repairs. Please do your research from feedback from consumers who have actually purchased and owned the product for more than two years. I have a Samsung RF25HMEDBSR/AA side by side refrigerator that is nearly 2 years old, The ice maker has been a pain since 6 months after it was purchased, the thing drips water constantly, is moldy, does not produce enough ice, etc. It is mounted in the refrigerator portion of the unit in the upper left corner. It seems like it does not stay cool enough to keep the ice fully frozen and functioning. I had the ice maker and auger replace under an extended warranty package (I have been forced to purchase the warranty to the tune of 300 plus dollars a year), because Samsung customer support will not address the issue. The ice maker failed again this weekend after functioning properly for about 4 months. Thank goodness the warranty is still in place so it will be covered. Come on Samsung there are a ton of bad reviews on this unit, step up to the plate and make this right for your loyal customers!

Okay, bought this fridge/freezer six years ago. Worst thing ever bought. When it was two years and two months old, the fan sounded like it was taking off, and you could see that there was ice forming around that area of the fridge. Thankfully, I have a husband that is skilled enough to take the thing to pieces. Then involved defrosting the iced-up fan with a hairdryer (took ages) until the ice melted. Then trying to dry the now wet polystyrene lining and putting it back together. He wasnt happy. I think that lasted one year, and the process has to be repeated every time we hear the fan trying to belt its way out the back of the fridge. We are now down to every three months, and well and truly over it.What a dog of a unit. I still love the layout and the ease of the fridge, but what use is something that needs major attention every three months. Fingers crossed nothing has happened to the freezer side of the unit as yet. At present, as I sit here typing, all my food is in chilly bins, a heater is busy at the fridge door, warming the ice so that it will melt. The worst thing is knowing that that this will happen again, and again, until we dump the thing and say goodbye to a $2,200.00 purchase that should have had years of life in it. My husband reckons the people in charge of the design should be dealt to very roughly.

I purchased a Samsung 2 door with freezer drawer from Best Buy a little over a year ago. First problem was a build up of frozen ice under the cool select tray. I chipped the ice out figuring it might be some water that leaked under the tray by accident. Two weeks pass and the same thing happens again. I call Samsung and of course they say the warranty is out and they cant do anything to resolve my issue. A week later the ice maker goes out. How can a year old refrigerator have these issues? Samsung offers no remedy for the problems and the customer service is horrible. That was a complete waste of $1500.I will never purchase a Samsung product again. When I see people looking at Samsung refrigerators, I immediately tell them the issues I have and for them to look at the reviews before making the same mistake I did buying a Samsung refrigerator. If Samsung refuses to help me Im going to help others by persuading them to stay away from the Samsung product. I even took pictures of my issues to share with potential Samsung buyers.

Well as soon as the one year warranty expired the fan started making a loud weird sound. The noise got louder and louder, evidently the refrigerator wasnt cooling. I call Samsungs crappy customer service and they insisted on walking me through a step by step problem solving. I was so frustrated with them. I assured them that everything imaginable just short of throwing it out the back door was done trying to find out what was wrong. Of course, they made sure to inform me that the unit was no longer under warranty and Id have to pay for any repairs, but a technician wouldnt be available until January 7, 2015. I called on December 20, 2015. I was furious and expressed that with the person on the other line, but she didnt seem to care. The refrigerator still isnt cooling. We bought a Samsung refrigerator from Home Depot to replace an old refrigerator that had developed a Freon leak. When the new refrigerator was delivered and plugged it, it immediately tripped the GFI breaker. The Home Depot delivery crew said there must be a problem with the electrical circuit. Lamps and other test units plugged in to the outlet worked, but plugging in the refrigerator immediately tripped the circuit. We paid for an electrician to come out. He said that the circuit tested OK but recommended that we replace the GFI breaker. He installed a new GFI breaker and outlet for the refrigerator. The circuit tripped immediately when the refrigerator was plugged in. The electrician tested and diagnosed the problem as an internal short in the refrigerator. Electrician cost $296. We contacted Home Depot about the problem, and our call was routed to Samsung. After about 15 minutes answering questions with the Samsung representative, we were told that a local Samsung service contractor would contact us within 48 to 72 business hours. We received a call from Central Electronics Services saying that the soonest the could have a technician come out to diagnose the problem would be two weeks later - nothing could be done to advance the service schedule. We went in to Home Depot who expressed concern about the problem and said that it is not uncommon to experience problems in getting manufacturer warranty service from Samsung. We are still awaiting the Central Electronics/Samsung service technician to arrive. Hopefully the defective refrigerator will be replaced with a properly functioning unit without undue. In the interim, we warn others considering purchase of a Samsung major appliance about the poor service from Samsung. Buyer beware!

I purchased a Samsung stove, microwave, and refrigerator with a bottom freezer. The fans kept getting louder, so we called Samsung, who would only refer us to a repair person. We were referred to a repair company and were told it would cost us approximately $375 to repair. We looked at reviews on this website and became extremely upset. Not only is this a common defect for this refrigerator, repairs have failed, having the same problem reappear. Why cant something be done to protect the consumer. This is a French door refrigerator, with a bottom freezer (and a drawer within a drawer), plus a middle drawer thats perfect for snacks or things you want often. I think the refrigerator was thoughtfully designed to serve almost any need for food storage, easy access and easy cleaning. Bought from Lowes on August 2, 2013 (4 months ago). Problems with ice maker from the date of delivery. The entire ice maker assembly has been replaced twice. The freezer door deal once. Within days after replacement/repairs same problem occurs. Either no ice produced or very little over a long period of time. Calling Samsung for repairs is an ordeal. Numerous calls. After taking all the information, they say they will call or email within 3-5 days. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do not. For example, I called on Tuesday, December 10, 20123. Was given Transaction # and was told my case will be considered for replacement or reimbursement. Again, was told I would either get a call or email within 3-5 days. I waited seven (7) days. Called Samsung. Was told that there was no record of the Transaction # given to me. New one given. Again, I was told that I would get a call or email within 3-5 days. Same thing time and time again. On those occasions when they do call me, I am told that a repair technician will be contacting me to set up an appointment in my home. That takes an additional week or two. By far, this is the worst consumer experience I have ever had in my entire life. Real bad. Getting tired of the lost record excuses, claim that they need more time to review when they have the whole history right before them. I never will buy another Samsung product.

After reading all of these complaints, Im just sick to my stomach that we didnt find this page before we bought our Samsung Oven. We bought a Samsung Microwave as well, but that seems fine. This oven is just over a year old (purchased Feb 2014) and has not worked properly for several months, but now we cant even manipulate it to work at all. We set a temperature and it slowly heats up. When it alerts you that it is to temperature, it is actually not. We turn it off and back on again (without opening the door) and it registers a temperature about 40-50 degrees less that what I set it for. Called Samsung and in a very monotone voice she announced that the oven was out of warranty. She said she could have someone call us to come out and service the oven, but no one has called yet. Its been a week. Although after reading some of the posts, Im seeing that many service companies refuse to work on Samsung ovens. Maybe they are tired of being yelled at by frustrated consumers. Plus many people have stated that they have paid as much as a new oven in service calls and it still doesnt work. I dont know if we should just buy another new oven (not Samsung) or what. It seems like more wasted money to have it serviced. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

Called Samsung about it and they told me that they would take care of the parts required, and all I had to do was pay for the installation from the contracted service repair. Now the third party service repair company told me that I had to pay for the parts and not the repair. The cost of parts a little over $430.00. Might as well buy a new stove and it will certainly not be a Samsung. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will come out against Samsung for their highly dangerous stove. I seen on a Canadian website that a few of them had the exact same problem. This is the worst appliance and service I have ever experienced. Called HD and they said theres nothing we can do. Went to HD store and played them a video I took of my new Samsung range. Every HD employee said thats NOT normal BUT youre stuck with it, theres nothing HD can do! I hate my brand new Samsung range. We bought 4 appliances that day, thank goodness only one appliance was Samsung garbage. Avoid ALL Samsung appliances. I will never buy a Samsung product of any kind! Samsung simply declares all design flaws normal and avoids any responsibility. Samsung is a despicable company, please avoid Samsung products.

I bought a Samsung RS25H511SR from Home Depot 5 Years ago and have had nothing but issues. We also purchased a 3 year warranty to cover the fridge. So 3 months first issue goes into demo mode. We tried everything that the internet said to. Made the call, guy came out and had to reset fridge computer. Six months fan went out, 18 months the freezer control board went out. So our warranty had a 3 time lemon rule. Cool new fridge right? No! Had to be same part. So we went on like this till warranty ran out and they would not renew warranty. So stuck with a fridge that has cost me thousands of dollars in food not to mention the $1500 I paid for it. Stay away from Samsung and Home Depot

I contacted Samsung Customer Service about an issue with staining on the inside of the glass on our two month old slide in range. I was told that the issue was not covered by the warranty. That it was normal for air, steam and possible grease particles to flow through the vent above the glass. I was told that it should accumulate on the inside of the glass. I was told that it could be cleaned by a service technician at my expense. I told Samsung if this was a continual problem that it was a design defect. I did not have this problem with either a GE or Frigidaire Range. I was assigned a ticket number. They called a service center in Myrtle Beach. The Service Center refused to come and service the stove even though I would be paying for a service call and the repair. Samsung reassigned this repair to another Service Center. They too refused to make the service call. Samsung has assigned this to a third Service Center. I have not heard from them as of today. If they also refuse to make the repair I have advised Samsung they need to find another approach to solving this problem.Updated on 06/26/2015This is an update on our Samsung range. First the good points: It is nice looking. It functions as intended, that is you can cook on the stove top, you can bake, roast or broil. The bad points: While the self cleaning feature works, it discolored and stained the glass in the oven door. Samsungs position is that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. If I want to get rid of the stains I would need to get one of their service contractors to come out, take the door apart and clean the glass. Another option would be to replace the door. The door is poorly designed. It draws air through the grill on the front and exhausts the air through the back. I dont know of any other slide range that does that. We have own two others - a Frigidaire and a GE. Neither had this problem during cleaning.I contacted the service department at Samsung. They were pleasant and helpful in setting up an appointment to clean the glass at my expense. The problem was that the service contractors did not want to clean the glass. Their concern was possible breakage of the glass, which they would have to replace. They also claimed that they could not assure me that the glass would fit tightly once removed. Samsung went through four (4) service contractors. Not one of them wanted to clean the glass. Two of them were willing to replace the door at my expense. The cost of which made it more appealing to buy a new stove. It would not be a Samsung, believe me.

If it were possible to give zero stars I would do so. We paid nearly $2000 for this refrigerator less than 4 years ago. We got only 1 year of trouble-free use out of it. Right after the 1-year warranty expired the ice-maker started completely freezing over, making it unusable unless we manually defrosted it. Even though the unit was out of warranty Samsung agreed to repair it for free. Repairman came out, made the repair but said we WOULD have trouble with the unit again. Indeed, and sadly, his prediction was highly accurate as a year later we started having the exact same problem. Now Samsung wants to charge us $525 to fix it AND they only offer a 90-day warranty. Samsung, they make cellphones that catch on fire and refrigerators that only work properly for a year. AVOID this companys products at all costs. They are not to be relied on. The government should do something about them but Im not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

On September 6, 2016 I was heating frozen vegetables in the plastic pouch on a microwave safe plate. When I looked up from the stove, there were flames shooting out the right side of the oven. I opened the door and threw water on them to put them out. Then I unplugged the oven. I called Samsung immediately to report this. I was told I would be contacted by a technician with 24 hours. The repair department did not call me until 2 days later and the earliest appointment available was for Wednesday, September 14. In the meantime I called the electrician to check my electrical outlets and service. Everything is up to code--prover voltage, etc. Now I am waiting for the repair tech to arrive on Wednesday. Very disappointed in this product. It was purchased the end of March this year and is even 6 months old.

This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. We are 2 senior citizens and do not abuse our refrigerator or have an overabundance of food in the drawers but I will NEVER buy another one of your products. They are cheaply made and I might add quite expensive.

I had purchased a Samsung French Door fridge 5 years ago as it was the only model at the time that would fit in my small kitchen (17 cu ft model). As many reported, from the start, the ice maker freezes ice cubes together in the bin and cleanups are frequent. Secondly, the finish on the door handles (mine are white) just flakes off. I was told they would be over $80 to replace each one. I could live with those issues, however, my fridge developed the same water issue others noted. It collects under the crispers, freezes and makes a mess. I noted online this is a common issue and there are YouTube videos on how to repair yourself. Why must I do that??? Samsung knows of the major DEFECT in their products and one would think a recall would have been issued but basically tough luck.To others reading this, a cheap temporary fix for the water issue: Head to a local Dollar Store and purchase plenty of those drying cloths for cars in their auto section (they resemble camos). I placed one under each crisper and they absorb the water which freezes in them (and keeps out of your crispers). After a few days just remove, run under hot water, ring out and replace. Prepare to do that often until you fix this excuse of an appliance or replace it. I am going to junk this thing soon and replace with a Kenmore.

Ice dispenser in Samsung refrigerator is a problem. In dispensing Ice it gets stuck at outside outlet or at inside outlet at ice bucket or it drops crushed ice instead of the cube ice. Now when you try to clear it suddenly it drops all ice on floor and creates a mess and needs to be cleaned up. I looked in the booklet under description and under problem solution. No luck. Also it makes a dinging loud noise like someone is banging on a door or working in other area. Annoying at night time.

We will never buy any Samsung appliances after our experience with them. We bought the Samsung RS22HDHPNSR/AA Refrigerator and within 2 months the ice maker stopped working. That is something we could live with. Then 1 year later, I noticed the freezer was defrosting and everything in the refrigerator was warm. Lights and power still worked but it was no longer cooling. We lost all of our food and I tried calling Samsung support but was directed to calling back during business hours. We are family of 5 with three small children, including a baby so not having a working refrigerator is stressful. My husband and I could not find a company open on the weekend that could service a Samsung. Two days later was a Monday and we finally got in touch with Samsung but our refrigerator was 1 year and 2 months old, not covered under warranty. They sent an appliance company, which we had to pay, for them to tell us the cooling system went out and no one can fix it. We told Samsung and they said they will do research since the cooling system is under warranty for 5 years. Still no word after numerous calls, holds, and terrible customer service. Finally they got back to us with no one can fix it, that we can submit our receipts for reimbursement, which we did. Then we moved ahead with buying a new refrigerator (different brand this time!) because it had already been 1 week without one and that is hard to do with small kids. Lowes was extremely helpful and hauled away the old one. We had to follow-up with Samsung AGAIN regarding the receipt/reimbursement. Terrible customer service, hold times for 40 minutes and longer, and they tell us they got our receipts and to hold onto the broken machine. Never once at the start of this process did they share that policy. We tried to track down its location with Lowes (Lowes again was extremely helpful) and find out it went to the same company who did the service call called that company and it had already been recycled. I called Samsung with again terrible customer service and they just keep repeating the policy even though we were told once we submitted our receipts everything was done. I asked if they hauled away the broken (dangerous machine with Freon in it) and they said Samsung does not provide that service that, I should have put it on my front porch. So I asked if they pay condo association fees for having broken and dangerous appliances outside my townhouse. What about the food we lost? Not to mention the stress and poor customer service, I would never recommend buying a Samsung anything to anyone. Samsung sells expensive refrigerators that stop working after 1 year and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

WE purchased this Samsung Refrigerator RFG297HD January 1, 2012. To date, we have had to change out the mother board (Samsung paid for the 2nd mother board--yeah!), the fan assembly, two broken door shelves, and we have gone through four ice makers, three @ $275.00 a pop. And YES! You heard that right: We have had to replace the ice maker on three different occasions; the first-of-four came with the product intact. (Yeha right?) Although we initially selected this Samsung because of its features, unless Samsung offers us a huge rebate for the $725.00 we have spent to repeatedly repair this refrigerators faulty ice maker, not to mention the costs associated with the other things, we will NOT ever, EVER buy another Samsung refrigerator. Not to worry: We are NOT holding our breaths, while contemplating that Samsung will come through for us. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I am very disappointed with my new Samsung DW80M9 series dishwasher. It was billed as being a better cleaning product because the spray arm goes back and forth rather than in a circular motion like traditional dishwashers. I actually rinse my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, but I have to scrub them to get every speck off before using this very expensive dishwasher. The one factor in its favor is that it is very quiet. I hope Samsung’s engineers will work on this very disappointing dishwasher.

It was $400 to replace the ice maker plus labor; we didn’t do it because the repairman said there was no guarantee the new one would work for long. Next the alcove where the drinking water station is located was not lined with stainless steel, so we have rust stains on the front of our white refrigerator!! Lastly, after calling Samsung customer service several times, they just said, “Sorry. Your warranty is up.” The refrigerator was $2,300.

The ice maker is a standard size and tends to produce ice adequately. HOWEVER, BE WARNED that Samsung ice makers are very poor quality. They tend to dispense crushed ice even when you dont want it. They definitely dispense broken bits of cubes constantly. I have contacted Samsung about this issue and their attitude is well, thats just the way it is, too bad. Its a shame that a $3,000 refrigerator comes with such an inferior ice maker and even a bigger shame that Samsung thinks its okay to sell you a fridge that spits ice in your floor every time you use it. I bought Samsung dishwasher, Model# DWF600UTW/AA. While still it is under warranty service, there was a problem with run ending in the middle and light started flashing. I called for service. The service person pulled out the dishwasher, and pushed it back very hard. When he left, I started the run, and dishwasher leaked all over and water puddled in the basement. There was not just the damage in the basement, but I had to re-install the dishwasher again with my own money. I never had leak before, the service person caused it, and Samsung doesnt want to pay the damages. The standard answer is, warranty is on the equipment parts and not the installation. Although their service person caused it! Another thing, if there is a damage-claim, Samsung transfers you to corporate affairs. They make you wait on the phone for hours! I strongly will advice anyone, not to buy their equipment, because if something goes wrong, this company doesnt take the responsibility. Neither they have a good warranty service.

We purchased our Samsung Refrigerator Model RF23HCED on April 14, 2014. First problem was that the ice maker room kept getting a lot of frost on it ceiling. My husband would periodically check and service it by steaming off the frost (as recommended in the Samsung Service Bulletin. Then on Oct 2017 the fan, behind the refrigerator wall began to make a lot of noise. Luckily we had purchased a 5 year extended warranty from Home Depot (strange that one was not offered to us by Samsung). The repairman sent by Asurion arrived, 10 days later, and removed the back wall and stated that the problem was Samsung poor design. Samsung had placed the SENSOR in the wrong place. He said that he would fix the problem and he did, it lasted for a year and a half.Fast forward to June 2019 and the fan starts making the same noise and the refrigerator temp starts rising. So my husband takes the refrigerator apart and defrosts both the ice maker room and the coil and fan behind the back wall of the fridge. BINGO it works (well see for how long). The Samsung Service Bulletin states that when these refrigerators have this happen there are many steps to be done AND the Ice Makers are to be REPLACED! So I contact Samsung and all I get is well arrange for a serviceman to come out.We are not paying Samsung one more penny to correct their errors. Simply send us the ice maker and my husband will do the replacement. But all they do is read a script...warranty expired...repairman will be sent. When in fact they knew, well before our warranties expired, that the ice makers needed to be replaced, as well as the sensors re-located. They did not issue a recall, but waited for our warranties to expire so that they could make us, the consumers, pay for their error(s).So a poor design by Samsung does not hurt them - just us consumers, Samsung gets to charge us for sending out repairman on each and every poorly designed refrigerator, we pay for the labor and the parts - AND - we are supposed to suddenly trust them and believe that they have our best interests at heart while they rake in more money from us. Samsung should stick to TVs and phones (the non-exploding type of course). STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!

I purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator on 10/1/2011 through Lowes. At that time I also purchased their extended warranty; however, it expired on 10/1/2014, just 5 days short of the failure of our refrigerator. Lowes Service was very kind and immediately transferred me to Samsung, as they told me the sealed system would be covered by the manufacturer for 5 years. The representative at Samsung (after speaking and being transferred to a few different people) told me they would have a Samsung technician contact me within 24-48 hours. This was on 10/10/2014. I did not receive a phone call during this period; however, I did receive an email today, 10/14/2014. The email stated that they do not have a technician in my area, and wanted me to contact them via the supplied number to find a way to accommodate me. I was assigned a new reference number and transferred to multiple people until finally getting to speak to someone in the Executive Customer Relations Department. This person told me that Samsung couldnt repair my refrigerator due to my location, but that they could offer a pro rated buy back of it. I was told to email a copy of my original receipt to an email address they supplied me. I was told to write my name, phone number, and the most recently assigned transaction number on the receipt before emailing it to them. They told me that I would get a response within 2 business days of sending the receipt, but that I should call them if I do not get a response. The buy back is supposedly pro rated at 10% per year of ownership.

I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec
I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec. 2013 when I bought my first home. While I am not customarily someone who uses ice in my drinks, there are certain beverages wherein I do use ice, such as with a soda or a cocktail. But for water and or juices, I do not require ice and as I rarely drink a soda or have a cocktail, I cant say the ice maker on my unit has had much use considering I am a one person household. This little to no use of the ice maker is potentially why this problem with the ice maker/dispenser did not appear until July 2014. I first noticed this problem when I discovered a large white shaving of plastic floating in a glass of Coca Cola. It was the size of a coconut shaving and so I removed this remnant and secured it into a plastic zip lock bag. Obviously, I disposed of the drink.I then examined the ice maker machine and mechanism, removed the ice bucket etc. and discovered there were dozens upon dozens of plastic shavings sitting in the cavity of freezer below the ice bucket. Upon further examination I discovered areas on the left and right sides of the plastic housing wherein it was obvious the rotary blades (auger couplers) had literally shredded into the plastic housing and it was quite clear from the magnitude of the scratches, shavings and debris that this was a serious problem.I first received service to repair this problem in July 2014. However, the repair took nearly 4 weeks to conclude, two home visits, shipment of parts, and I had no ice available to me in that time. Moreover, I greatly needed ice to medically treat an injury. Thus, the repair was more than an inconvenience. While the repair included some new parts and a new ice bucket, after the repair, I was hesitant and nervous to use the ice cubes for drinking and would look in each glass of ice. Then just a few days ago (20 Oct 2014), I found a SHARP solid chunk of white plastic floating in my Coca Cola. Again, I removed it and secure it in a zip lock bag for evidence. Upon examination of the unit, I now find that the plastic housing under the ice bucket is again being impacted and hit, only this time the scratches and scrapings are now at the front of the housing rather than on the sides. To make matters worse, on the evening of Oct 21st, I observed small white tiny powder like particles, sitting on the outside stainless steel dispenser tray, which indicates I have been ingesting and drinking micro particles of plastic. I have obtained a small sample of this particle by pressing my finger down onto it and then scraping this fine particle off my finger into a zip lock bag, but it is so small and fine that one could literally not pick it up any other way. It would be like trying to collect a single grain or flake of salt.As of late, I have been enjoying one soda a day, in place of eating a desert, and have been having more iced drinks than usual. Again, this draws me to the conclusion that if only this ice maker and dispenser had had normal American household use, this problem would have most likely occurred immediately. At this stage, my main concern is my HEALTH and how my body has been affected by ingesting micro fine particles of plastic used to make an appliance. To be honest, I am more than upset by the gravity of the situation and I find your customer service to be sub-par. In my opinion, this unit is DEFECTIVE IN DESIGN. Any refrigerator that starts dispensing plastic for a HUMAN TO EAT AND INGEST SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER, and does not even fall within the scope of an ordinary repair.I can no longer trust this appliance to provide me ice! In addition, I will never again use it for drinking ice. NO WAY! NEVER! No matter how you repair it or pretend you did, it is obvious that the METAL BLADES are able to make contact with all edges of the plastic housing and therefore will ALWAYS HAVE THE POTENTIAL to feed me plastic.Next time I see my doctor I will consult with him on this matter. In the meantime, feel free to send me the chemical composition with which this plastic material is made of and I will give that to my doctor. Alternatively, we can send samples to a lab and then I will bill and or sue Samsung. I am outraged at this situation! Period! The fact that you are again going to send me a service repairperson who has NO experience with this SPECIFIC problem is ridiculous. Moreover, two Samsung service repair technicians told me they had never heard of this problem. So all you are doing is putting a Band-Aid on this situation, waiting for the manufacturer warranty to run out so that you will not have to contend with it. So yes, I am outraged. I will never again buy Samsung. In closing, I am attaching photos from last July showing evidence of the plastic shavings and impact to the housing. The current plastic particles are to small to photograph and while this is the same problem, the particles in fact are completely different now in shape and size. In fact the smaller particles and this current situation is way worse because I cannot VISIBLY see the micro-particles in a drink, making this a blatant health hazard. Please review the photos carefully! I would like this case to be escalated and dealt with by your upper management.

We purchased this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABWP in July of 200
We purchased this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABWP in July of 2009 because we thought it was a superior product. Wrong! It was fine until March of this year and then to the tune of $200 we had to have the repairman defrost the fan, etc. because it was so noisy. And then I discovered the water was leaking inside the refrigerator under the crisper trays. We thought the problem was solved until May of this year when we discovered ice forming under the crisper trays. Another service call to the tune of $200. And then in July, I discovered a repeat of the same problem. Previously when I called Samsung, I was told that if it happened again, they would do something. After 10 calls and faxing information twice, I was told that nothing could be done and that refrigerators only lasted 5 to 9 years anyway. I doubt they would want to pay $200 every three months to keep their refrigerator running properly and I also doubt that they replace their own refrigerator that often. Every time you call, you have to give the model number, your name and phone number and then be referred to the executive customer service and repeat the same information. Usually there isnt a supervisor that you can talk to and so you have to call back again and go through the entire thing again. My opinion is that if you have to do this enough times, you finally give up and go away! What a poor recommendation for a company so well known!

Unit started freezing up under deli tray while water leaked into the veggie bins, one ice maker would freeze up, the other poured water out of the door flooding the floor on several occasions, and of course it was out of warranty by this time so we finally had the ice makers shut off. It continues to leak water underneath the unit so our beautiful Samsung refrigerator sits in the garage so we dont have any more floors to replace. Samsung knowingly and without accepting responsibility continues to sell theses defective refrigerators to consumers without regard to the hardships it created both financially and emotionally. These are not warranty issues, it is defective design flaws. We are very disappointed and dissatisfied with Samsung and our Samsung refrigerator.

Unit locks up and wont function properly. Display will show all is well but
Unit locks up and wont function properly. Display will show all is well but food gets soft in freezer. You then run diagnostics function and it shows all is well. Next step is to unplug unit for 90 sec. then power up and hope that fixes it. Ice maker was junk from the start. Im on third ice maker assembly and possibly the 5th tray. The older the unit gets, the more defrost problems we have. I am replacing main board today. I hope its upgrade and not just a new set of problems.
