Bought french door refrigerator 4 years ago and since then a handle broke off, collecting water in crisper drawer because of faulty evaporator clip and spring to close door flap properly broke. Clip for door flap is no longer available and hoping this doesnt happen to evaporator clip also. Got rid of 20 year old refrigerator that didnt have such problems. Samsung is known to discontinue parts after a few years. From what I read, this is an ongoing problem with clips breaking. Stay away from Samsung.

OMG. So upset I did not read reviews before purchase. My husband found a beautiful Samsung 25.5 cu ft French Door refrigerator at Lowes. It was on sale for 50% off. It had a dent in it. Tiny dent. No big issue. Fortunately we bought the 5 year warranty. Lowes delivered it. At delivery it had several more tiny dents, a deep gouge (small), and a huge crease on the right hand door and all the way down to the freezer door. So much for Lowes delivery service. Freezer not working, fridge not working. Ruined a weeks worth of groceries. Havent even plugged in the ice maker or anything--because we have always heard the ice makers in Arizona are the first to go because of the hard water. Did the reset as suggested in the manual. No go. No response from Samsung and no response from Lowes. So our good deal is really not a good deal at all!

I cant remember how many times we have had the repairman out for this worthless machine. For a variety of problems including broken clips which found their way into the motor area and water intake problems. One of the wheels on the bottom rack frequently comes off. Yesterday, the machine stopped working again, this time with no error message. It starts by draining (okay), then starts water inflow (okay) and then does nothing as the clock counts down. I now agree with my husband that it is not worth fixing AGAIN and time to buy a decent dishwasher. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ... ever. If I could, Id rate this product a minus 3 stars.

Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbag
Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbage. The ice maker started frosting up like a freezer from the 50s/60s a little over a year after purchase. The door bins are cracked and held together with duct tape. Now it has stopped cooling completely. After reading and trying to determine the root cause, it is clear that Samsung makes inferior refrigerators, the number of complaints are incredible. Lets not forget about their washing machines blowing up as well. Maybe, as one reviewer state, its time for a class action suit. I m sure consumers initially thought purchasing a Samsung refrigerator would be a good, safe, reliable purchase, evidently a lot of us were totally wrong and subsequently disappointed.

My experience with our Samsung dishwasher is similar to the other experiences listed here. Dishwasher began having error codes after 14-15 months of normal use. After dealing with it working and not working for a few months we set up a service call through Samsung. A call to Samsung customer service led to nothing and they do not stand behind this product at all. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. You will be disappointed and left with a non-working DW in 13-15 months. No wonder the warranty is only 1 year. Samsung has a great scam going on here, but it will eventually lead to loss of customers in all areas of their business.

Samsung RF-28hdedbsr - WOW! Thought I had done my due diligence before buying this refrigerator but unfortunately I never saw this site. Purchased this appliance for several thousands of dollars in May 2016 and worked fine until July 2017 when ice maker quit functioning properly. The problem is that when ice bucket was full the sensor quit telling the ice maker to stop filling the trays. It just kept filling and dumping ice until unit was so full that it froze up everything. Then like everyone else I had to use hairdryer to unthaw the ice maker compartment. This worked a couple of times but now ice maker has totally quit working. What a POS!Of course out of factory warranty and did not buy extended warranty as every GE, Kenmore, Frigidaire refrigerator I have ever purchased over the last 40 years havent had any problems. Big mistake. NEVER PURCHASE ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE again tv, fridge microwave etc. With so many complaints why hasnt some govt agency gotten involved or a class action lawsuit been filed to make Samsung recall or fix this problem as they are obviously selling a defective product.

The range was purchased September 2012. Within a week the range did not work properly and the Best Buy Geek Squad came to service it. Upon cleaning the oven the letters showing the Samsung Logo immediately peeled off. (My thought is because Samsung was ashamed of the poorly made product they were selling they chose not to be identified with it.) Within the next six months the item was serviced several times due to problems with the stove top as well as the oven not reaching and maintaining the temperature. Now slightly after 3 years the oven is inoperable. The convection does not work. I need to invest money to get it back running. A product costing $999.00 should last a bit longer without all of this maintenance. Does the lemon law apply in this case? I almost feel like it should. Very disappointed with the Samsung product.

Freezing In Vegetable Bins. As much as I researched this refrigerator, unfortunately, no information was given on this problem. Please publish my experience so another consumer avoids purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. At the present time, I am having the same problem for the 2nd time. Thank God I bought the extended warranty, which I recommend on any appliance in todays world. The first time I experienced this problem, was 13 months after purchasing this Samsung French Door refrigerator. My extended warranty was used because I just missed the 1 yr. warranty that Samsung gives. The problem is: Water and Freezing in the vegetable bins, which is a design error. The repair technician unplugged the drain, which was frozen, cleared ice and flushed drain and added heatprobe. Now 10 months later, the same problem has occurred. It is obvious, that repair number 1 was a temporary fix, like a band-aid. I called Samsung to find out if this refrigerator has been recalled, and I have been told NO. During this mornings call to the extended warranty company, I was told from the customer service person, that she receives calls all the time for Samsung Refrigerators. I am so fed up with Samsung. I plan to avoid all their products. In the meantime, I have a refrigerator that is going to need constant repairs to the vegetable bins. I am covered with a 5 yr. full warranty and a 10 yr. compressor warranty, and most likely, will ditch this Samsung Refrigerator once the full warranty expires.

This model I have was the worst engineered product that has been seen on the market. Samsungs have all the bells and whistles, great novel my useful designs but the quality is not up to the price asked. The repairman said they tried for three years to fix the ice buildup problem and finally got it right after three years. I find that I still see ice, though it has not stopped cooling but it feels like skating on thin ice and that it will break again at any given moment. JCPenney now has appliances and they are phasing out selling Samsung. The enameled on their stoves is so thin. As is the paint on the refrigerator. I wont buy this brand again. The new features are always enticing with this brand but dont fall for it. By the way read about the problems And complaints before you read the glowing reviews about any appliance and always buy the extended warranty if you cant afford a big repair bill visit. Most appliances the repair person told me appliances need a repair in 1 1/2 years to 3 years. They just dont make them like they use to. And dont think high end and huge price is also an indication of quality, it just may be a status brand.

It appears as though the rear of the freezer is freezing up as the fan is now making a noise. The noise comes and goes as the fan blade chips away at the ice buildup. I called Samsung and they suggested lowering the freezer temp to the lowest setting. After doing some research, it certainly appears that the coils are freezing up and the fan is hitting the ice. I also assume at some point the fan will fail leaving my refrigerator useless like it has for so many other consumers. Apparently there is not a fix for this? Many people have spent hundreds of dollars replacing coils then the problem comes back. I also see that a class action suit has been filed because of this problem. Samsung needs to address this issue that they apparently were aware of when selling the refrigerators.

We bought the dishwasher, ice box and gas stove from Best Buy, they stopped working on the 2nd day that they was delivered on 3/2014. We contacted Best Buy about the problems and they said that we had to contact Samsung customer service. We did and they said that the applicant was out of warranty. How can this be. We just bought it brand new, they said that they were 4 yrs old and out of warranty. The dishwasher was the first to go out, then the freezer on the icebox and now the stove oven doesnt work. I will never buy a Samsung of any kind and wont buy from Best Buy either. All of their products are out of warranty and they told me, Thats why you should buy a extended warranty. Then why do they advertise that they have a warranty for Samsung for 1 yr, 2 yrs etc. And no one will work on them either. Be smart and dont buy Samsung. I wont ever again.

Ceramic cook top model# NES595ROABWW/AA - Cooking eggs on stove then all of a sudden pop and crack!! I had no idea where it came from... lifted up the pan (light in weight) and there were cracks. I called and got an appointment. A service tech came out, called Samsung... the person said it was not covered because the customer broke it. Drop damage. I never dropped anything on it. We have had the stove 4 months!! Service tech sent pics. Samsung refused to cover it under warranty. There is no indications that anything was dropped on it. They just want money and dont want to deal with customers. We have a Samsung Fridge, Washer and cell phones. Wish I never would have purchased any of their products! Samsung Flex duo range NE59J7750WS - I wish I would have found this site BEFORE I purchased this range. In theory, this was everything I wanted, replacing an 18-year old Maytag. Plugged this range in and the flex duo range doesnt work! Keeps showing error code C-20. Samsung said because we installed it that it wasnt covered under warranty. Nowhere in the literature does it say that. I called Sears and Samsung multiple times in two days. If I plugged it in and the rest of the machine works, its not me plugging it in wrong! Samsungs customer service, or lack thereof makes me wish I could return this and put my old rusty one back. Dont buy from Samsung! Especially if you plug it in yourself! How ridiculous! I feel like Ive wasted $800, and will need to purchase a simpler model in the future. I used to love Samsung, but this fiasco ensures I will no longer buy their products.

I started having odor issues with this dishwasher (Model DW80F600) not even a month after purchasing it on 5/25/14. Ive had 6 techs out to look at it and they recommend things like changing the detergent, running the hot water, using Jet Dry, etc. to re-plumbing through the garbage disposal. Ive complied with all of their suggestions. No parts were ever replaced on the unit and the one part that the 6th tech is saying should be replaced Samsung is stating that its a customer maintenance issue and claiming that Ive never cleaned the dishwasher and damaged it. To make a really long story short - its now 5/6/15 and Im being denied service on it because its in Samsungs system that Ive damaged it and its a customer maintenance issue. Never mind the fact that its been an ongoing issue for nearly a year.Ive provided Samsung with the bill of sale, all the receipts of service with tech notes on them, etc. The service notes that I received from Lowes were different than the physical receipts that I have. The techs are claiming to have replaced two parts on the unit & also making statements that are untrue - like Ive never cleaned it. I bought Dishwasher Magic on 12/24/14, which is in both my receipts & the notes I received from Lowes (who handled my first 5 service calls). Every time I talked to a Samsung rep its another story all with the same ending - they cant/wont help me.I received the technician notes (from Lowes) from the service requests that I starting in July 2014. I have attached those notes, along with the service receipts as well as a scanned image of the seal sump part & packing that it came in. This SHOULD be proof that either the technicians or someone at Samsung is LYING about what they have done to service our dishwasher. This is all due to a foul odor that has been going on beginning less than two months after purchase. I would like for Samsung to replace the bottom door gasket under warranty, replace the dishwasher (if its not fixable), OR at the very least authorize another service technician to come out, preferably a manager, to assess the dishwasher AGAIN under warranty. Samsung is claiming that Ive damaged my dishwasher & never cleaned it and therefore are unwilling to replace the bottom door gasket or allow for another service tech to come inspect our dishwasher. Here are the things that Id like to point out. The service appointment from Brand Source states that they put in parts. Id like to know what part they are claiming to have ordered and installed and ask how, since this is our first service, did they know to order that part and have it ready for installation? This is a complete lie - no part(s) were purchased or replaced on the dishwasher. I was told that we should re-plumb through the garbage disposal, try Jet Dry, and run it every couple days. Both of those suggestions were taken. We also ran the dishwasher empty with a cup of vinegar. Those suggestions and CLEANING from July (not 2 months into owning it) didnt work so we placed another service call. The initial tech from A&E came and decided that the tub/sump gasket needed to be replaced so he ordered the part. I have attached (Seal Sump) which is an actual scan of the packaging which was shipped 12/18/14 as well as the scanned image of the seal sump (product #DD62-00050A) still in the bag which I STILL have because it was never replaced as the tech notes are claiming to have replaced on 12/24/14 when in all actuality that tech (who was a different one than the one that ordered the part) said the gasket wasnt bad and that I should try Dishwasher Magic. I bought Dishwasher Magic and the tech put it in and ran started the dishwasher - therefore this was the second cleaning. It was recommended to us to try pod style detergent vs. liquid and to run the hot water in the sink, make sure its good-n-hot, then start the dishwasher. Both of those suggestions were taken and it still hasnt solved the issue. The last service on 4/8/14 performed by One Stop Appliance is completely off base. The tech notes (attached) stated that we need the bottom door gasket replaced and that he would get in touch with Samsung to order the part. I received a phone call from ** on 4/9/14 letting me know that Samsung wont authorize replacement of the part claiming its a customer maintenance issue. The tech notes indicate that I called Samsung and use the words food build up. How can the tech notes reflect something that hasnt even happened yet - my calling didnt occur until 4/9 - service was performed on 4/8. They also state that this is an issue due to never cleaning. Given that Ive provided at least 2 examples, one with a receipt, of times that Ive cleaned the dishwasher - this is just a false statement. In calling Samsung to try to get this issue resolved this has escalated from we have food particles in the dishwasher to we have damaged the dishwasher. The Samsung user manual states: CLEANING THE INTERIOR. Clean the interior of your dishwasher periodically to remove any dirt or food particles. Wipe the inside of the dishwasher and the inner part of the door with a wet dishcloth. We recommend filling the detergent dispenser with dish detergent, and then running the dishwasher empty periodically using either the Normal or Quick cycle with the sanitize option. This will keep your dishwasher clean. If white spots and odor are still present in your dishwasher, run the Normal cycle with the dishwasher empty and without detergent until it ushes. Then, interrupt the cycle and put an 8 ounce cup of white vinegar into the lower basket. Close the dishwasher and let the cycle finish. Do not remove the tub front seal (the long rubber seal enclosing the opening of the dishwasher).I HAVE performed periodic cleanings of the dishwasher and it still has a foul odor. I also rinse ALL my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, and I wipe down excess water that gets on the door before closing it. This odor can begin within 24 hours of running a cleaning cycle. How is that a customer maintenance issue? Also, some of the phone reps have told me that notes indicate that there are food particles left in the dishwasher. If this is true then why? Shouldnt the dishwasher be rinsing, cleaning, and drying the dishes and therefore the tub? A particle is: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: A particle is a minute fragment or quantity of matter. [1] In the physical sciences, the word is used to describe a small localized object to which can be ascribed several physical or chemical properties such as volume or mass; subatomic particles such as protons or neutrons; and other elementary particles. [2] The word is rather general in meaning, and is refined as needed by various scientific fields. Something that is composed of particles may be referred to as being particulate. [3] However, the term particulate is most frequently used to refer to pollutants in the Earths atmosphere, which are a suspension of unconnected particles, rather than a connected particle aggregation.IF I have food particles in the dishwasher how is a minute fragment causing such an odor that I have been calling for service on the dishwasher since 7/18/14? In addition if this were a customer maintenance issue then why has it been an issue since a month after the purchase date? And in performing all the technician suggestions it still hasnt resolved the issue? I have filed with the BBB and here is their second response after I contested their first response. Still clearly not paying attention to the facts and still not willing to help. Heres Samsungs official response: Ms. **, Thank you for providing the additional information regarding your claim. Samsungs product team has evaluated all new and existing documentation available on your claim. The warranty coverage remains unchanged. Although Samsung cannot pinpoint the cause, a few examples for the odor are: infrequent cleanings, excessive food residue, the drain hose is connect to the garbage disposer, from which food can get backup into the drain hose. What would not be contributing to the odor is mechanical or part failure and the Limited Warranty only covers product malfunction or defect. There is no such evidence.I understand there were was added concerns about the part that was order but not installed. This was noted but this part nor changing it would address the symptom. With our apologizes, warranty will not be covering the cost of any further repair requests to address the odor symptom. Thank you.

Ticket # ** When I purchased my oven 5 years ago, I called them after having it under a year. My complaint was that it feel like it was getting overly hot! I was told that I just wasn’t use to the newer ovens but, I did notice some melting on the top of the front door and burn marks. Anyway long story short, my bake element was no longer heating. I would turn it up to 350 and it would go right back to 200. I called Samsung again. They promised me a one time parts and labor repair, which I do have in writing. The parts were so called ordered and then I get a message from them stating that they will not replace the bake heating element and the motherboard because of the physical damage from the heating element. Now mind you the damage is from a defective oven. Been going back and forth with them. Every time they approve it, a few hours later the approval is rejected. The rest of my stove looks brand new because I have always taken care my appliances! I’ve also had problems with my ice maker freezing up, which I had serviced privately and so far so good! But, I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ever again! Now theyre saying they won’t repair it because it’s a potential high risk hazard. On the next note if I pay for it out of pocket they will repair it! Nothing like talking out of the two sides of your mouth! I do have in writing a one time Labor and parts repair. Which they’re totally refusing to stand by their word.

Samsung has not responded to our complaint other than to suggest - after 1/2 hr. of discussion - that we call a repair company they recommended. That company said our induction pots dont work on this stovetop because of an engineering issue. They said there was nothing they could do. We returned to Sears in Nanaimo, BC. The sales person plugged in the identical Samsung range, with our pots on it. The pots heated up on the replacement range! The first range was obviously defectve, but neither Samsung of the repair company admitting it. Sears immediately offered us a complete exchange for a new Samsung, or a higher-priced (but unattractive) replacement range. Sears has been great; Samsung ... poor.

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

We purchased a Samsung stove 2 years ago. The other day we started the oven and blue sparks. Oven would not work after that. Called a repairman who came and checked. Said element was burnt out and would order a new one. 3 weeks later repairman calls to tell me that Samsung had discontinued this burner. Discontinued a stove burner and a 2 year old stove.

Purchased RS261MDWP fridge from Home Depot June 24th, 2013. I noticed rust forming at lower edge of ice/water dispenser. I did not call and make complaint before warranty expired (missed by two weeks). As it turns out, it makes no difference because the rust is considered cosmetic and is not covered under warranty. I had a Samsung certified serviceman come take a look at it for repair. New door and installation would total over $500. I declined and paid the serviceman the $80 for trip charge. There is an inherent design flaw in the construction of the door. I own numerous rental homes, one of which is an ocean front weekly rental. My appliances of choice are Whirlpool. I have had no rust problems with that fridge and it is less than 200 feet from the ocean! The Samsung fridge is greatly compromised by the rust. It is very obvious and I will be replacing a 1-year-old fridge that will end up in a garage.

I have been without a fridge for 8 weeks now. They have come out 3 times. Still they have not fixed the fridge or given me any guarantee that they can fix it. I have decided to cut my losses and go with another brand. Samsung fridge life max is 8-10 years. Their service is terrible! A word to the wise. Steer clear of this product.

I purchased a Samsung 2 door with freezer drawer from Best Buy a little over a year ago. First problem was a build up of frozen ice under the cool select tray. I chipped the ice out figuring it might be some water that leaked under the tray by accident. Two weeks pass and the same thing happens again. I call Samsung and of course they say the warranty is out and they cant do anything to resolve my issue. A week later the ice maker goes out. How can a year old refrigerator have these issues? Samsung offers no remedy for the problems and the customer service is horrible. That was a complete waste of $1500.I will never purchase a Samsung product again. When I see people looking at Samsung refrigerators, I immediately tell them the issues I have and for them to look at the reviews before making the same mistake I did buying a Samsung refrigerator. If Samsung refuses to help me Im going to help others by persuading them to stay away from the Samsung product. I even took pictures of my issues to share with potential Samsung buyers.

Ive noticed other reviews explaining the same problem. We brought this fridge less than 2 years ago brand new. We did not expect any problems this early on as we have always purchased a french door fridge because of its large capacity. We have a large family and would have to frequent the grocery store all the time if we bought anything smaller. I am sorry I bought this brand and will not buy it again. We noticed pooling of water just outside the freezer and have been mopping it up every morning. We did not know what is causing this problem-where the water inside freezer is coming from and have defrosted the fridge twice now. -which is extremely inconvenient as we cannot use our fridge during that time. We have turned off the ice maker to see if this was the problem but it is not. This fridge is a lemon. Do not buy. So far it does not seem that anyone who has tried to solve this problem has been successful. I am really tired of cleaning up water everyday and will need to save for a new fridge. It appears that ice is forming on the freezer bottom and then melting and spilling out of the freezer overnight and during the day. We recently removed the bottom drawer which over time turned into a bucket of ice. We defrosted the fridge and cleaned it and are now trying to locate what is causing the ice to form on the freezer bottom (which then melts over time and forms water at the bottom of the fridge).

We purchased a Samsung microwave, range and refrigerator and have nothing but problems with all of them. The microwave literally didnt work when it was installed and needed to be replaced. The refrigerator needed 3 service calls and finally had the ice maker replaced. A shelf in the door of the refrigerator cracked and broke after 14 months (with yogurts in it) and now I need to buy another because it is past 12 months from purchase. The range has had 5 service calls and still not right. The stovetop cooks very hot. When the burners are on the lowest setting the fluid in the pan boils. The convection oven does nothing that a convection oven is supposed to do. It does not cook evenly nor faster at all. The left side of the oven cooks hotter than the right even after services calls with Samsung finally saying they cannot guarantee even cooking in the oven. For example if I have 2 bread loaves in the oven one will be done and the other is still raw inside. Everything that is cooked needs to be monitored because every time I cook it requires a different time to cook properly. Will never again purchase a Samsung appliance. Poor product with worse customer service.

Today I contacted Samsung support via live chat, describing the common SE error, to inquire about service for my SMH9207 microwave purchased in Dec. 2010. Many postings, including several on consumeraffairs.com indicate Samsung is aware of this common issue with their microwaves and in some cases has repaired out of warranty microwaves. The representative I chatted with, George **, indicated Certain models had a known issue which we have addressed. These are the only ones that are being covered outside of the warranty term. I was give the web form to fill out a service request. Its obvious Samsung makes good phones, not microwaves, and they dont always stand behind a product. I was very disappointed as I had purchased many Samsung products over the years (phones, TVs, etc.) finding them reliable but, I never had to put the company to the test until $335 microwave stopped working. At this point, I will never buy a Samsung product again because I know if their is a fluke, or defect in their usually decent products, the company will not stand behind the product, and will cite the warranty which is in line with industry and isnt good (1 yr.). I am so upset, Im spending for a microwave of another brand rather than buying the Samsung control board and servicing. Do not buy a Samsung appliance if you want reliability and company that stands behind the product.

Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together
Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together in convection. After 4 visits and some part changes, there is no change. I did a few extensive digital and analog temperature tests to document that: 1) The initial at temperature beep is usually close but then over time, the temp drifts down to over 100 degrees F below where it should be. 2) When I restart the oven because its too cool, the oven display confirms the low temperature I measured. 3) As the oven restart, the convection fan or fans blow such hot air the food in the middle of the oven that the food is burnt to black while food not in the center or on different racks is not burnt. 4) The restart temperature once the beep sounds is accurate. 5) The convection fans are always blowing the hottest air straight out the middle. Not circulating the air around or reversing fan direction once and a while. So a blowtorch on food in the middle of the oven. From reading web forums, cnet in particular, seems like all of these Samsung ovens do pretty much the same thing. Seems like a programming problem in the firmware. Resolution is under review by Samsung. But do I even want another fix or a replacement? No. I want a refund and Ill buy a different brand.

The stove is great and the heating element works well. I like the flexibility provided by having multiple pot sizes on each eye of the range as it provides for quick and even heating without any overkill. The range dials and oven buttons have a nice click when depressed, which I prefer compared to my old stove that didnt have much feedback when using. The oven also has a convection feature that I greatly appreciate as well. My only complaint on my stove is that for some reason the oven light blows quickly regardless of how often you use it. I have replaced the light numerous times within 6 months and I have just stopped using it.

I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator for Home Depot September 2014. It was running fine until I noticed paint bubbling on the edge of the door. I contacted Samsung September 2015 - it was several days before the anniversary of the refrigerator delivery date. I advised the door with the ice dispenser paint is bubbling along the edge. I sent photos. Samsung declared it cosmetic damage. I was not satisfied. They said to have a tech come out and inspect. Budget Appliance came out and said, yes the door was defective. They suggested a replacement of the unit as they believed it was not sound. Samsung refused. I contacted Better Business Bureau. After BBB contacted Samsung they agreed to pay for replacement parts and I the cost of labor. Another technician came out on March 1, 2016 and said yes the door needed to be replaced. I received a new door on March 16 and I refused it because it was black. I have spent countless hours trying to resolve this issue and Samsung could have resolved the issue promptly with either a new refrigerator or door. Now according to the parts department it may take up to 8 weeks to get the replacement door in white. It will be May 2016 before this is even close to being taken care of. Samsung expects me to pay almost $300 in labor because of the faulty design. Do not buy Samsung appliances. Their customer service is rude and their service company they use is in Bogota, Columbia. They took over 4 days to track the wrong part that was ordered.

Buyer beware! If you are considering buying ANY Samsung appliance, contact Samsung first to find out where your nearest qualified repair technician lives, because you will certainly need them. After 4 years and 10 months, our refrigerator fan started making a noise similar to aircraft. It is no longer cooling enough on the refrigerator side. We called Lowes, who arranged for a tech to come out and look at it who lives 3 HOURS AWAY!We also have a Samsung dishwasher that stopped working after 4.5 years, and asked if they could fix it also. Lowes said they did not know if this technician could also service the broken dishwasher. Many appliance repair people do not like to, or simply cannot work on Samsung appliances. Do yourself a huge favor and buy an American brand. We will never buy Samsung appliances again, and are replacing them with Frigidaire instead of paying someone to drive 3 hours to run diagnostics, order parts, return to replace parts, etc.

I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.

It absolutely amazes me that SAMSUNG thinks it is okay for a 4 year old microwave to come on anytime the door is opened. Anyone else see a problem that this is dangerous to our children whom did not realize it was not working properly, so they stuck their hand in the microwave to lay the food on the turntable - all the while the microwave was operating - WITH THE DOOR OPEN??? I have a ticket number, a chat ID number and 2 phone calls from ** from their escalation team. Each of these encounters with their support team showed no concerns nor did they think they were responsible or liable for anything, they will NOT fix my microwave. So, for now I am using my 15 year old Sharp microwave in my garage. I replaced the keypad after 2 years because if you boiled anything on the right side of your stove the vent is not adequate enough nor is the keypad waterproofed so the condensation gets in and shorts it out. The repairman informed me Samsung had since figured this out on the next years model and corrected it, but did they repair my keypad? NO! I suppose I shouldve known better than to think they would care that my microwave comes on as soon as anyone opens the door, they were not concerned in the least! Guess my new 60 inch TV will be a Panasonic, that definitely changed my mind.

I bought all Samsung appl. when we built but Im having second thoughts... the refrigerator (side by side with water ice on outside) is not all worth the $$. The size gets cramped inside without a lot of shelving room and the outside ice dispenser always clogs and you stand there for minutes until the big globs of crushed ice falls out because if you dont get it out when you open the fridge door it all falls on the floor. This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom shelf. They slide into guides at an angle, straddling two rows and ending up crooked, requiring constant readjustment. RF266AEPN/XAA French Door Samsung Refrigerator looks great but is not reliable. Paid $1500 5 years ago and numerous repairs since. 03/14 icing in the refrigerator vents began, called Samsung support and they acted like this was the first time they ever heard this. I learned later its a common issue. Service Ticket **- no one called back or showed up. Refrigerator started making a lot of noise and some water appeared in refrigerator. I learned the Samsung refrigerator Series RF267 has an ongoing issue with freezing up and icing over the fan and evaporator coil. Class action suit.04/14/14 Called Best Buy Geek Squad technician who removed back of Samsung refrigerator and attempted to defrost back of defective design. Remove inside back panel, inserted $4 part to prevent refreezing and replaced original back with broken styrofoam insert. Ice still remained in cooling vents 2 days later and still is icing up. $162.38 service call. Either Best Buy or Samsung should cover charge of full repair or replacement for 2-year-old French door refrigerator that clearly has a poor design and many complaints online. Problem continued so we periodically defrosted the refrigerator to clear ice from coils. Contacted Samsung again 09/17/14 and was told by Sherlyn: There are no reported issues with the unit. Ha! Representative Sheryln assigned the transaction number ** and forwarded it to Executive Customer Relations department. No helpful response, credit, or repair. We contacted Best Buy/Geek Squad again and for $400+ they replaced the inside back panel of the refrigerator, door seals, fan, etc. After a horrible experience and almost $700 in repair bills we hoped to put this behind us and enjoy our beautiful stainless steel refrigerator for a while and we did until the noise started again and the temperature started going up in the refrigerator this week. Now food is in ice chests and I am shopping for a new fridge. Unfortunately there are some pretty bad reviews out there on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, etc. Will definitely purchase the extended warranty and may go with Costco because of their customer service. We totally remodeled our kitchen and purchased new stainless appliances. The refrigerator is a Samsung. We paid for it in November of 2014; it was delivered in February 2014, installed in March and began being used on a full time basis on May 23rd of 2014. We had problems beginning immediately and still are having problems. The problem is the ice-maker. We have been told by one repair person Americans like too much ice but he replaced the ice maker which continued to make twenty six cubes a day. I went to the Lowe’s store manager who was to do something but failed to (big surprise there). We waited three more weeks and complained again and asked for another service provider at the encouragement of friends. They were busy and took three weeks to arrive. They ordered a new motherboard which was installed four weeks later. For the month of November and December of 2013 we actually had ice! Then it started coming out crushed and no cubes. Out comes another guy who says it is the auger… Called Samsung and asked for it to be replaced - got nowhere. Repair guy is coming tomorrow to install the auger. The bad news our warranty is gone as of February 7th. Talking to Samsung is like talking to a repeating robot. Now I have spoken with several people who have had ice problems with this model from day one. I am hoping between Lowes and Samsung someone is going to do the right things. I have owned six new refrigerators in six homes and never been through anything like this. To find out Samsung is aware of the defect is even more upsetting. My only choice at this point is to buy a new refrigerator and employ someone to drop this one off at the Lowes front door. I am still paying for my very expensive remodel and intend NOT to pay for the refrigerator. Lets hope someone steps up to the plate real soon!

Purchased my Samsung range from Lowes April 4, 2016. It was delivered on April 9, 2016 and installed that same day. April 9, 2017 - Exactly 1 year since install (but according to Samsung, out of warranty), I used the self-cleaning feature. Within 2 hrs (the cycle was set for 3), the front display panel went black, and oven stayed locked. After trying to submit a warranty claim, and finding out I was 5 days past the warranty, I called a repair company. The repairman told me never use the self-cleaning option as this happens all the time, it causes some temperature sensor to fail and can burn out control boards as well. Lucky for me he was able to disable the oven lock. Again something he says they cant always do and then the door has to be replaced as well.My previous range was a much more expensive DACOR and I used the self-cleaning feature all the time. The only reason I had to replace the range was because I dropped something on the glass top and the replacement glass was no longer available because the range was 16 YEARS old! According to the repairman its the way the newer ranges, like this Samsung, are now made and he told me again not to use this feature. Why buy a self-cleaning stove and cant use it??? I have had the repairman out twice (as he thought it may be the boards) and Im now waiting for the temperature sensor to come so he can install. I will never buy another Samsung product again (and should have learned when I replaced my Bosch dishwasher with a Samsung dishwasher and is also failed during the first year, replacing a 16-year-old dishwasher as well).

Own a French door Samsung Fridge and water accumulates and freezes at bottom of fridge. Have to empty the fridge, take back panel out and thaw out drain line which will probably freeze again shortly. Sears, where the fridge was bought, claim to have never heard of problem however internet is full of complaints and there are several Youtube videos in how to fix problem. Had issues with brand new unlocked Samsung phone and after spending hours writing Emails and calling service center went out and bought Motorola phone. Samsung service is pathetic and will NEVER buy another Samsung product as long as I live. I have since bought a TV, a tablet, two phones, a dishwasher, washer and dryer all brands other than Samsung. How a company can be so arrogant and probably successful is beyond me. I asked clerk to speak to a superior and she said that she did not report to anyone and was given email for headquarters. Receive same form email back, total waste of time. Spent two hours to repair fridge, threw out food and if it freezes again I will cut my losses and buy a new one (this one was $2K).

Apparently either Consumer Affairs OR Samsung does NOT want reviews of clothes washers as that is no longer a product which can be reviewed. Ours is 3 years old, sat in our basement for nearly a year from the time it was new until we finished our house. Only two people in the house, used once every two weeks. Lots of issues with not filling, not pumping water, not spinning. Samsung says Too bad. You should have paid even more than the $520 so we would fix that piece of crap....sucker!

I have bought Samsung refrigerator model RT37K3763S. This so called refrigerator cost me 37750 K in year 2016. Only first few days it worked fine. Then Ive started accumulating everywhere in freezer, its ducts and cooling for lower section gone. They changed the door in first few months. Now its one year and out of warranty.I have same complaint after every 15 days. Standard answer is shut it down for 24 hrs... Then someone comes and changes the sensor... Someone comes and fixes the gasket... I have got loads of food wasted because this fridge just stops cooling after every few days. Multiple complaints with Samsung. They are not ready to accept that its a faulty product. I feel completely cheated with this product and service. The company doesnt even know what the root cause of this issue is... Very poor service.

BEST ADVICE WE CAN GIVE IS DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! Bad design and poor to NO customer service. HERE IS OUR STORY: After 3 months refrigerator stopped cooling. Door said 36 degrees inside was 50 degrees. Called customer service and they said they could not get anyone out for 2 weeks. So milk products spoiled first and then other food stuffs if we did not eat it quickly.Tech made some sensor repairs which did not fix the problem. Called back in a week and it took a week to get a tech out this time. More repairs and he had to order another part. 2 weeks later tech made final repair and the refrig worked for 6 months and then started to not cool again. We called and said this was the 3rd time it failed and we wanted our money back. Take the refrig and give us our money back. That was Sept 2013. It is now Feb 2014 and have called almost weekly which is a minimum of 30 to 45 min on the phone ea time repeating the same information over and over, sent their required documentation in 2 times and ea time they say it will be reviewed and someone will call.NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED TO CLOSE THIS OUT!!! Oh, they did a very sneaky trick of not closing the ticket out after each repair, even though they DID DO 3 DIFFERENT REPAIRS. Customer service said that this was in effect only one repair for the same problem, but I watch and I know they did 3 different repairs to try and fix the same problem, not cooling in the freezer and in the refrig part. We have even tried getting the company we bought it from to help but they cannot get SAMSUNG to address it. So we had to buy another refrig in middle of December 2013 and push the junk Samsung one over to the side.

I purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot less than a year ago. One day, my dishwasher decided to not turn on. I called Home Depot Support, they sent me to Samsung support. Samsung was great at first, they were able to get a repairman out within two days. Repairman came to my home, looked at my dishwasher and told me I needed a new circuit board. He would have to order it and come back sometime next week. Okay great. Here’s where things went downhill. He proceeded to tell me I needed to hire someone to come uninstall my dishwasher so that he can work on it. I will then have to hire someone again to come out and reinstall it once Samsung fixes it. What the hell!

We paid approximately $2000 in 2013 for a Samsung fridge and have had issues with the ice maker getting jammed frequently, the box holding the ice getting locked/jammed, the ice maker not making ice, and now rusting below the corner of the water tray. We were good about keeping the water tray dry and clean even, but I see it doesnt make much of a difference! Uhg, very disappointed and disgusted. We will not be purchasing Samsung again and will be sharing our situation with all. We wish Samsung would step up and fix the problem so we can share they at least fixed the situation... The ice maker stopped working March 20th 2015. Went online looked at customer support did all the things they ask you, reset button check! Pull out it and look at water lines check, etc. Two weeks later my 6 month old Samsung Microwave starts going off and on turns fan on when Im out of the room and is flashing error signs. Call Samsung, set up appointment for the microwave. They say they will check out the fridge, why they are here. Get a call from service repair next day saying fridge out of warranty. It was made in May 2013 and out of warranty in July 2014! When does a warranty start from a manufacture start at manufacture date, and not the date sold? Have called customer service talked to higher ups with no help. Will never buy another Samsung product!!!

Refrigerator is three year old and cost about $2000. Last week the evaporator fan (inside of the refrigerator) started getting noisy. After looking online and discovering that this is a common issue I contacted the support people at Samsung. I received a canned response that said it could be caused by lots of things. They recommended that I unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours to let the evaporator thaw and for the ice to melt. If it happens again Im supposed to call for a repair appointment. We had to move all of our contents out of the refrigerator to let the evaporator thaw before we could get the cover off to clean out the drain. This is a really poor product backed up by offshore support auto responders. For your next refrigerator purchase choose any product other than Samsung.

Two years into our ownership of this microwave (SMH9187WXAA), we are working on the third control panel. It is a known issue, common to this model microwave. Tens of thousands of these control panels all over the country (I dare say world) are being replaced every year. The tech who replaced the first panel was on his eighth that day; yesterdays tech who replaced the second panel was on his third. Samsung refuses to either replace my microwave or extend my warranty. How does one deal with an issue such as this? The microwave has a known and very widespread defect. That means it does not serve the purpose for which it was designed, and I purchased it. If I did that in my business, the Feds would be on my case. Who is pursuing Samsung in this case? Not Consumer Reports, who rated this microwave a Best Buy. I will be buying no more Samsung or General Electric appliances (Samsung makes many of GEs appliances, esp. their refrigerators).

Barely had it a year and getting a non stop LE code. Pulled the unit out and there is no leak anywhere that I can find. I was silly and did not buy an extended warranty as I thought I bought a quality product, never again. I refuse to pay anyone to repair it and have it fail again. I wish that I had read all of the negatives reviews regarding Samsung refrigerators before I purchased one. I will have to admit that I have had mine 4 yrs. & today is the first repair job but it seems to be the same problem that everyone is complaining about. I have had water collecting in both veg/fruit drawers. After $250.00, I hope the problem has been corrected. The FF was freezing & leaking per info on repair ticket??? The repairman replaced the heat probe. He said that many of these have had to be replaced. The original ones were too short & they are being replaced with longer ones. This sounds as if there should have been a recall since he told me that he had replaced several with the newer type probe. I do not have any hope of anything being done by Samsung but it sounds as if they should have addressed this problem instead of denying that there is a problem.

This refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. After 3 years, we had to entirely replace the ice maker for over $200 in repairs (not covered by warranty). After 5 years, we had to repair the water dispenser. At exactly, 5 years and 4 months, the freezer died, 1 week later, the refrigerator died. It is out of warranty and Samsung does not provide any support. In our county, there is no longer a Samsung certified repair shop. No one will even touch it. Samsung finally referred us to A&E factory service, more than 40 miles away. They came out to do the diagnostic today (2 weeks after the freezer failed). The repairs for the broken evaporator are over $700. This was a $1,500 fridge purchased at Best Buy. Samsung has been very disappointing. They are not willing to cover anything or provide product support. Will not buy from them again.

I purchased a Stainless Steel counter depth French door refrigerator w/ drawer freezer at a premium price through Lowes. Within 7 months, the ice maker stopped working and a noise like a motor straining to work started. That issue was taken care of with a service call. Then it happened again. This time, I called Samsung and the girl I spoke to wanted me to remove the ice maker unit. The owners manual said not to do that so I had another service call. This time, a new ice maker was ordered and installed. Immediately after this call, a single click could be heard maybe once an hour. Then a noise like a compressor turning on started and lasts from 5 to 12 seconds sometimes 4 or more times a day.Now the noise like a motor straining is starting again. We have had nothing but problems since December 2014 when we purchased it, with 3 service orders to date. The last one is a repeat for the issue that we had less than a month ago. On top of that, Samsung uses servicing dealers that do not have parts in stock. Thus, they are allowed to order the parts based on the repair order making the customer wait the additional time for the repair. Samsung has been of no help whatsoever except tell me that I need to call the repair people they have coming out to fix it. I called the repair people since I had not heard from them about when it would be repaired after 2 days of waiting. They inform me that they will be out on 4/29 to fix it. My husband and I purchased a whole kitchen full of new Samsung appliances and one already broke. WOW! Next, I called Samsung back to see if there was a different repair company that could come out. They informed me that that is the best we can do. I became even more angry since a 2 week old dishwasher shouldnt be broke to begin with. Lowes has tried to be more helpful than Samsung by checking in to see if they could do anything. When the repair person comes out I am sure that it will be another week at least having to wait on parts. Samsung should take this piece of crap back and allow me to pick another brand.
