Samsung Refrigerator Model RS28A500ASG
The refrigerator I bought from Samsung is dysfunctional. Repairs have been a waste of both my time and money. Samsung customer service is nonexistent. Dealing with them is an emotionally draining experience. They refuse to take responsibility for their faulty product. The refrigerator does not keep food cold enough to be safe to eat. The ice maker has been an issue for quite some time leaking water under the crisper draw and onto my hardwood floor. The most recent service technician told me not to eat any food from the fridge. He reported to Samsung from my house and sent them pictures of my damaged floor. He told me to get an estimate to repair my floor which I have sent to Samsung several times. Samsung is ignoring me. I still have a damaged floor and a refrigerator that does not work properly.
DW80F600UTS/AA - We have owned this dishwasher for 18 months. We purchased a new home, and the dishwasher was brand new. After six months the delicate light came on. We did our research and called Samsung. They recommended checking the drain hose and house drain as the error is a drain error. There was no issue, so we disassembled the sump where the screen was to inspect. There was very little amount of debris in the sump. We reassembled and the problem went away. Three months later the same problem occurred, and we went through the same scenario. I finally had enough after the fourth time assembling and disassembling the dishwasher and contacted Samsung. All they would offer was to set up a service ticket now and that it was out of warranty. This issue should not be occurring with a dishwasher that is 18 months old. Stay away from Samsung Dishwashers. They are nothing but a headache.
I am on hold with Executive Customer Relations - a defective range that has been repaired numerous times. Have had numerous conversations escalating this complaint after three circuit board failures on this gas range.
We use our microwave for cooking and reheating. We have had it for three yrs and it has always performed perfectly. We bought it as upgrade in stainless and it looks great in our kitchen! It is the largest microwave I have ever owned by far, but the main reason I purchased was the online ratings and reviews. My wife is as close to a five star chef as there is, but she works long hours sometimes. I point this out because she preps meals a week in advance for our family, so the microwave is used daily.
Bought my Samsung double doors at Best Buy in Lakeland and at first all was cool. Now my veggie bins arent for veggies, they’re water buckets. I thought problem was just me till I ran across this page. I too contacted Samsung and was told to reset fridge and freezer. Did and nothing - still water flows into the bins. We need to get a class action suit against this company and get Better Business Bureau involved. I was so proud of my fridge but now I just want it gone. Cant Samsung be forced into fixing these fridges as just too many complaints.
Unit is only 4 years old, and makes a loud ticking sound. The ticking noise stops when you open one of the doors to the unit. It sounds like a fan blade contacting something when the fan is engaged during a cooling cycle. We dont keep the temp below 40 degrees in the fridge, so I dont think its ice build up...
My Samsung refrigerator broke again. This is the third time since I spent nearly $2000 to buy it new in 2013. But aside from the poor performance of the unit the real problem is the customer service regarding the repair. So far Ive called Samsung every day for the past 11 days and I am on hold again now. Apparently Samsung customer service will listen to the problem you are experiencing, very nicely tell you to expect a call within 24-48 business hours and then throw your information in the trash because nothing happens after that. Every day, I have to begin the process again so in this scenario 24 -48 business hours never passes. Dont buy a Samsung refrigerator. They break and no one is interested in fixing it. Or paying for it. Or replacing it unless you want to box it up and ship it off yourself (they actually suggested I do this!!) There are plenty of refrigerator companies. Please benefit from my experience. Do not purchase Samsung.
I purchased a fridge about 2 years ago and when the handle broke, the parts department advised me that the piece was discontinued and that nothing could be done to replace this. In sum, have a fridge for which I cant use the handle to open the freezer drawer. Lovely. The lifespan of their products is under 5 years. Amazing. Then 3 months ago, my husband purchases a dishwasher and guess what it works for a whole 2 days then breaks down. 3 months later, still washing dishes by hand and countless service visits with the incorrect parts ordered and still waiting. Called the executive department directly at Samsung just to learn that nothing can be done and basically I need to wait to hopefully receive the correct part and eventually be able to use my dishwasher. The worst service ever. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG. It will eventual break down within 5 yrs or less of normal usage.
Purchased this refrigerator on 09/04/2017. First issue was with the computer connecting to Samsung app. After multiple tries and updating this problem was resolved. Other problem is with the ice maker. Currently still purchasing bagged ice due to lack of function. Called Home Depot in Knoxville because we purchased warranty through them. They told us it was still under factory warranty so they couldnt help us. Wondering why they sell warranty if they do not honor it at this point. They gave us the phone number to Samsung so we attempted to go that route. First of all customer service rep was very hard to understand. Her ability to speak English was very much lacking. After almost an hour we had no resolution to the problem. She insisted it just needed reset and would not schedule a repair technician to come out. Needless to say after resetting the problem still exists and we are still buying bagged ice!
I purchased the Samsung French Door RF26V Series Refrigerator at Lowes. Approximately 15 months afterwards the refrigerator was not cooling properly and I noticed back wall inside was frozen. I was forced to purchase a used refrigerator and put in my garage because it was unsafe to store food at 45 deg. Repairman told me to unplug it for 3 days and let it defrost or thaw out and try to restart, and if that doesnt work he will come look at it. Also the ice maker just keeps pushing ice out the top of the bin causing it to break the bin - $99 for replacement. I paid $2500.00 for this appliance and I am very disappointed with the Samsung product. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance nor will I recommend the product to friends or family. This is day 2 of defrost, I feel like Im in the olden days of having to defrost the refrigerator. I am a widow raising a teenager and cannot afford to buy a new one. Thank you.
The lower igniter in my oven burned out the middle of November. I tried in vain to get information from Samsung. It was finally repaired by an independent company about mid-January. Samsung was no help to me.
Only 40 months old and the bottom freezer drawer froze shut! Ice and frost all over the food and I can see a layer of ice on bottom of unit, under pull out drawer. No service contract but asked at Lowes who works on Samsung. They had no one who has been able to figure out how to deal w/ this brand. They HEARD that someone 1 1/2 hours away might know something about them. Called Samsung and they said to turn temp to 0, which I did. (Samsung promised to call me back within 24 hours. 96 hours later they returned my call and when I told them what I thought of this refrigerator, the rep laughed and wished me a Good Day!).Next morning I tugged and tugged to get drawer open and when it did open sheets of ice flew out onto kitchen floor. Searched online and found out I should NOT have purchased this thing... After I read enough to make me sick, I went online searched other brands and settled on a GE side-by-side that appeared to have the FEWEST complaints. Upon further reading about this piece of junk, I learned that water builds up under the crisper/snack bins in the refrig section. Removed the snack drawer that covers the entire bottom of refrig and bailed out 5 quarts of ice water, then took a mallet and beat the sheet of ice that was under the water and tossed that mess. This company clearly DOES NOT care about the consumer and neither does Lowes. I asked the associate in appliance dept. why they continue to sell Samsung appliances and was told it was because Lowes gets such GREAT DEALS from Samsung. Good for them...HORRIBLE for those of us who are dumb enough to purchase one. And I wonder, what good would the service contract be if they cannot find a repair company that knows how to deal with Samsung? It was delivered with a damaged door and after 3 months a new door came in, only it was stainless, I have a white unit. After 9 months, Lowes took doors of a new unit and put them on mine because Samsung was unable to supply them with one white door! I am not going to be stupid and look for someone to work on this piece of junk... Tomorrow it will be on the way to the dump.
My 3 yr. old Samsung over the range microwave quit. Not happy at all with this! Displays SE only.
We bought this condo in October. The first time I tried to use the oven (to cook a turkey) I set the oven temperature to 350. Hours later the turkey was barely cooked. I raised the temperature to about 400 and eventually it cooked. I then bought an oven thermometer and used it the next time I wanted to cook something in the oven. To get to 350 degrees I have to set the temperature to 425. To get to 375 I set it to 450 or so. The indicator light indicates the temperature to which Ive set it but the oven doesnt heat up to where Ive set it. Since the range is out of warranty Samsung wants me to call a service technician. What Ive read about this problem online suggests its either the sensor or thermostat thats at fault. Ive asked for the part number for the sensor and thermostat for my model - and they cant even give me that. I dont want to pay for a service call only to be charged labor and an inflated price for the part since my husband is an electrician and can likely do the repair himself at a much lower cost.By the way, this condo came with a Samsung dishwasher and over-the-range microwave oven. The first time we used the dishwasher it didnt work, so we called the only service tech around who deals with Samsung appliances and $115 later he said the repairs would cost about $360 (he admitted the problem here is quite common with the Samsung dishwashers). For about $400 I bought a new Frigidaire dishwasher and have had no problems since. The Samsung microwave oven works but sometimes the same amount of water heats to hot and sometimes just to very warm when set to the same cooking time.My conclusion: Samsung kitchen appliances are absolutely worthless. Stay away from them!
I own a Samsung-31.6 Cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator with thru the door ice and water dispenser. It also has a bottom ice maker in the freezer. The bottom ice maker is the problem. We had trouble with it from the start. Read owners manual, reset it. Worked for a while then quit totally. Had repairman from Samsung replace ice maker, worked for awhile then stopped again. Samsung sent repair man again, replaced computer board in back. Worked long enough for warranty to expire. Now in a battle with Samsung for repair, getting runaround.
VERY disappointed with Samsung. We purchased all Samsung stainless steel appliances less than 4 years ago. ALL have had continuous problems. Fridge ice maker always jams up with ice and cracked the inside, Back panel of the fridge freezes up causing the fan to stop and have to unthaw entire fridge every time. (Bye bye to all your groceries while it takes all day to warm up). Dishwasher racks now need tie straps to hold them up as the brackets continuously crumble into pieces, and we have had to take off the front panel and fix electrical problems, door seal leaks and dishes are ALWAYS coming out dirty. Tried every brand of soap, jet dry, even rinsed dishes before they go in. We even have the one that is suppose to gar-borate your food, doesnt work! Samsung STOVE: electrical plug melted my toaster cord, glass top cracked on its on, Yes, Im very careful and it didnt have a scratch on it, ON ITS ON, while warming up, it cracked. Im very disappointed and hope NO ONE buys from them. What a waste of money when they cant even make it 4 years. And dont bother phoning into Samsung, They are absolutely no help if you are past 1 year warranty.
Gas range and oven less than 6 months. Looks like someone previously smashed base of oven with a hammer. The paint chipped and cracked off within months showing the horrible spider crack below. It is deep too. About 4 inch diameter. I want this base replaced free of charge. Angry.
Water leaking inside under vegetable bin after having refrigerator only two years. Called Samsung - wont do anything about it. Said warranty was up. Now today, we can get ice but no water through water dispenser. Never buy Samsung appliance again.
I have a Samsung model rf197acrs refrigerator that has now been repaired five times over 7 months due to freezing fan and coils. It is under extended warranty and Samsung customer service is unwilling to do anything. A and E are the repair company and have not been able to rectify the problem. I understand there was class action suit for a similar problem.
We bought our Samsung French Door refrigerator with ice maker about two years ago. All was great until two weeks ago when the ice maker started leaking. The ice coming out was wet and just made a mess. There was no ice being produced in the freezer drawer tray either. Husband took it apart, found the tubing was frozen so he fixed that. We have ice in the freezer tray again but the ice maker still isnt working (despite resetting it and lower the freezer temps). We havent attempted to contact Samsung based on other peoples experience (that it was a waste of time). Disappointing since we too paid a ridiculous amount of money for the refrigerator. We also owned a Samsung plasma TV that bit the dust after two years. Done with Samsung. Also going to contact Consumer Reports as this refrigerator (and many other Samsung products) appear as top picks (which is what prompted us to buy this particular model).
Repairman told me the ice maker issue is due to insulation in the wall of the refrigerator sometimes “slumps” or slips down. Design flaw. I learned this when I was buying a heating element to replace in my 3 year old Samsung dryer. It sits right next to my 2 year old Samsung washer with a broken lid. Contacted Samsung corporate USA. They are irresponsible scum. They ignore follow up contact and send replies that appear to be ‘in the blind’ begging I respond and eventually state that because they are not getting any response that they will consider the matter closed. Samsung- ** company, ** products.
Bought our Samsung RF23J9011SR/AA refrigerator approximately one year ago. Ice maker malfunctioned. Samsung seemed familiar with the problem. The repairman mentioned a design flaw with regard to the small fan. They did quickly repair the problem for hundreds of dollars. It seems to me if they knew of the design flaw they should make the adjustments at their cost.
In 2012 my wife and I bought matching Samsung appliances for our kitchen and they were considered top of the line. Within 6 months our ice maker began freezing up, then within a year quit working altogether. Samsung couldnt find anyone in the area to fix it and said they would contact us when they did. Never heard back. Within 18 months it started making horrible noises. Found out frost was building up in the back and we would have to defrost, otherwise the fan would burn out. So every six months we did defrosting of our frost free fridge. Now 6 years in it has died and the repair shops said it wasnt worth fixing. My dishwasher died within 3 years, the microwave about the same time and the stove went out twice before I replaced it a year ago. Take the advice. Do not buy Samsung kitchen appliances.
I called Samsung 2 times to complain about the drawers on our fridge. When you put anything in them they come off runners and fall through to drawer below. They said a service person could come out but if they were not defective we would be charged for visit. I know there is a defect even though nothing is broken on inside but I am not going to be charged by someone who says its not broken. They were no help. All the lady did was apologize 20 times and said nothing else could be done.
I must let you all know that I contacted Samsung Corp. via email and complaint to them about the issue with my less than 2 years old Microwave and luckily, I got a response and apology within two days. They sent a company to pick up the microwave to get the control panel replaced at no cost to me. I am now waiting on my microwave to come back. Its only been a couple of days. They said it would take at least 7 days for them to get the part and bring it back. I am very happy with the way Samsung responded. They even called me back to make sure they picked up the microwave, not to mention all the follow-up emails. I really hope they fix it and it lasts. I suggest you all do the same! Good luck!
I bought brand new Samsung Kitchen Suite. After 3 months, the microwave started beeping in the middle of the night. Still under warranty, the touchpad was replaced by the technician. 7 to 8 months later, it occurred again - now out of warranty, we looked online. My husband followed the advice of others having the same problem and he unplugged and re-plugged the ribbon cable which worked. Now, about 6 more months and it started again. So he has added an additional piece of plastic behind the ribbon cable to improve the contact. For now it is working. I am very disappointed in Samsung quality and service.
All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.
DMT300RFW - I purchased this dishwasher in May 2013. In the time since then, it has been inoperable for about 20% of the time. It kept giving heat sensor errors. After three heaters replaced and one harness, I am now being told that they cant fix it. Really a bad product.
Samsung Refrigerator RF 23HCEDBWW. Started having problems within six months with ice maker making noise and only giving crushed ice and water drips out of the dispenser constantly on the door. Do not buy Samsung refrigerator.
I brought my Samsung refrigerator cash in 2014 and buy the protection plan too then I notice water was dripping from the ice maker. I called Asurion which is the company who oversee the protection plan. They did send someone out to fix it but the same thing keep happening again and again, it’s eight times I have to call them for the same thing. Right now there are mold building up in there and when I tell them there are tell me it’s my responsibility. But if it’s wasnt for the water and the sweating inside there wouldn’t be any mold. Can somebody tell me what the next step I should take. I have pictures to show what am talking about.
I have had the steel fridge for 6 years and 5 years of problems. I went to get a repair to the fridge as a sound was coming out of the fridge. The fridge section was warming, so we threw the contents out etc. The repairman said that dont waste your money leave the appliance off for 24 hours and all will be good until the next time and do it again. The crisper also freezes the vegetables all the time. This has been going on for 5 years. I am looking for another appliance now as we have had enough, now the off on situation does not work like that. From other complaints it seems that they have not learnt their lesson.
I bought my Samsung Stove oven range from HHGregg and bought 5 years warranty with it. Within 1 month of usage (cooking for 2) started noticing the blackish superficial layer peeling off from the glass top. Called HHgregg and was directed to Samsung. Third party repair personnel after inspecting said it is common occurrence and to use razor as suggested to peel of the layer by scrubbing it in a certain way. Before 12 months end I saw the crack on the cook top and a bulge on the glass top. After complaining to customer service it took 30 days with 3 guys from different company and taking pictures of the stove to tell me that it is wear and tear. I need to pay 250$ for cook top and 250$ for the labor to repair it. I cant afford to repair it or replace it as it is the brand new stove which I paid 1200$. Bad customer service. Was told by the electrical company that the engineers at Samsung will see pictures and determine if it was wear and tear. My old cooking range was from whirlpool survived 10 years. Will never buy or suggest or recommend this company or the product.
We bought the 345 Ltr RT 35 refrigerator in May 2010 in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was working well till May 2015. After which the lower door was not getting closed properly and defrost was not functional. After noting the problem, it was reported to the concerned authority and customer care number provided by Samsung in month of June. We were told to change the position, restart the refrigerator, which did not help. After persistent problem, it was again reported to customer care on 19th Sept. Again the executive told us to lift the lower door, but nobody visited our place. After repeated complaints, one of the technical person came to our place, changed the IC and told us that Your defrosting problem is solved, but door problem cannot be solved as the refrigerator purchase date is more than 5 years old. After pursuing the problem with customer care, we were told that the parts are not available and nothing can be done as company has stopped the production of said model. We have made several calls to customer care but the only answer we could get was, Sorry, we dont have the parts. Had it been before 5 years of date of purchase, we would have got the parts and not now after 5 years and 1 month; and now another version has come up from local dealer saying, It was the last piece of the lot. It was not told to us during purchase and now we are facing problems with the refrigerator, which are still unsolved and may not get solved considering the answers we are getting from customer care. Pathetic way of solving problems for a common man, who may have to put large part of his fortune into buying another refrigerator, which wont be Samsung anymore.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 400 LTR from Vaishali, **. From the start, the problem was that the upper portion of the fridge is ice-deposited and the lower portion is warm and the vegetable, etc. gets spoiled. When I complained, the person guided me on phone, around six months back, and said that if I switch off the refrigerator for one night, it will be okay, and this worked. But time and again this problem arises. It is the defect of the Samsung technology and why should I suffer> When I complained, they say that the engineer will come and charge 400 Rs for visit, in my view the basic defect should be removed by Samsung free of charges, or they place my fridge with a new one . I purchased it around 20 months back.
I called twice in 6 months on the same problem. The first time was in addition to setting up a contact for an authorized repair person to come out. I was told that the problem was that the drain line was frozen and they suggested that I let the refrigerator and freezer completely thaw and this should take care of the problem. I did this for 4 hours with both doors open. I may have solved the issue for 4-5 days, but it returned. On my second call, I went through the same information again. This time I went through with having the authorized repair person. I took the day off to accommodate their window of availability. When the repair person arrived, he already knew what the issue was. He did remove one crisper tray and acknowledged that he could see where the water was coming from. He then told me that there is an upgrade that is out that will fix the problem. When asked, he told me that it would not be covered by warranty because it was an upgrade and not a fix. He was here for 10 minutes, which included his paperwork being done. They charged me $76.00 and then proceeded to tell me that the parts and labor would be $116.00; however, the parts are on back-order and so the repairs would not be done until October and this is September 11th. This, coupled with the thawing suggestion, tells me that is not a small issue. So I called Samsung and after 10 minutes on hold as the problem was being reviewed, I was transferred to the executive customer relations department only to be told that my refrigerator was past its one-year warranty and there was nothing they would do to satisfy my issue. Is it unreasonable for a product that costs $1300.00 to last longer than 3 years? So much for executive customer service”! They have my money and they didnt seem to think that they need anything else from me. What they fail to remember or maybe care about is that I (a consumer) will want to buy an appliance again and I have friends that will need to do the same!
Purchased this model 2.5 years ago - have had issues with ice maker ever since. Do your research, issues with Samsung and ice makers (especially this unit) are all over the internet. The ice making function is pretty much so useless. On mine, like so many others (thousands) freezes up, literally turns into a block of ice. Overall, great design and functionality, however, for $2k I expect the ice maker to work.Samsung refuses to take any accountability, as a result, major class action lawsuit is underway by law firms and thousands of consumers to get them to do the right thing for their customers. Its all online, do your research. While I have owed and been quite happy with a number of Samsung Plasma TVs and LCDs, their responsiveness to this serious product issue with ice makers is nothing short of shameful. I had hoped to get it repaired, but a reputable (and Samsung certified warranty service) indicated that even after spending $500 on parts and labor, the problem will most likely continue. So, after spending $2k on this thing, and 2 1/2 years later, I will be buying a new refrigerator/freezer. And, as a result, I will never purchase another Samsung product again. Never. Do your own research, and look elsewhere.
The fridge is sold as counter depth but is NOT. The ice maker WILL NOT dispense ice! The shelving and drawers are designed and made in such a way that makes them IMPOSSIBLE to clean and they trap meat juice, spilled whatever, crumbs, etc in crevices that are INACCESSIBLE so you cannot clean them! WORST purchase ever!
Like so many, I purchased a French door Samsung refrigerator and had nothing but trouble. I have read so many reviews and complaints about the Samsung refrigerators, as well as the poor service Samsung provides. What I know is that many larger retailers such as Home Depot and Lowes who sell the product are as guilty as Samsung for selling and promoting a product that has proven to be a consumer failure. I note that there is a class action lawsuit initiated in the U.S. I propose we do the same in Canada as well as hold retailers who sell the product responsible too. If you are in Canada and have had nothing but grief from your Samsung refrigerator, please email me at **.
Today I contacted Samsung support via live chat, describing the common SE error, to inquire about service for my SMH9207 microwave purchased in Dec. 2010. Many postings, including several on consumeraffairs.com indicate Samsung is aware of this common issue with their microwaves and in some cases has repaired out of warranty microwaves. The representative I chatted with, George **, indicated Certain models had a known issue which we have addressed. These are the only ones that are being covered outside of the warranty term. I was give the web form to fill out a service request. Its obvious Samsung makes good phones, not microwaves, and they dont always stand behind a product. I was very disappointed as I had purchased many Samsung products over the years (phones, TVs, etc.) finding them reliable but, I never had to put the company to the test until $335 microwave stopped working. At this point, I will never buy a Samsung product again because I know if their is a fluke, or defect in their usually decent products, the company will not stand behind the product, and will cite the warranty which is in line with industry and isnt good (1 yr.). I am so upset, Im spending for a microwave of another brand rather than buying the Samsung control board and servicing. Do not buy a Samsung appliance if you want reliability and company that stands behind the product.
I bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot last year. It was on sale, all stainless inside and seemed like a great deal. It worked a couple of times then quit... lights flashing and stinky water remaining in the basin. Home Depot responded quickly and sent someone out twice to repair it then finally sent me an email saying it was not fixable. They gave me a full refund. But, I am stubborn and was determined to fix it. Sometimes it worked thru a full cycle and sometimes it did not. I would have to push a couple of buttons to get it to drain afterward. After months of troubleshooting it finally works for me every time. The key is a balanced load. When you put a dinner plate on one side of the rack you must put the next dinner plate on the other side. Same with the top rack. Equal weight on both sides of the carriages is the trick. It sounds like a pain in the you-know-what but it works for me and I feel like a winner! :)
We purchased this Samsung smh1816s microwave in the fall of 2013. By December 2013 the microwave quit working and displayed the SE or 5E error code. Samsung repaired the unit under warranty only after 2 weeks (1 of which was Christmas week) with no microwave. Now (December of 2014) we are having the exact same issue, showing the exact same error code and Samsung customer service and executive customer service refuse to fix the microwave because it is out of warranty. I will NEVER recommend Samsung appliances to anyone else. I too would love to be part of a class action lawsuit filed against this company for selling knowingly defective equipment. You pay $300 for a Microwave you dont even get 18 months worth of use out of.....very poor way to conduct business Samsung!
One of the worst appliances I ever bought. Samsung over the range w/ hood model SMH1816S. First microwave in 30 years I ever had to have repaired. And customer support on an issue with it was horrendous, and then non-existent. I recommend anyone considering this unit to finish off their kitchen matched set of other Samsung products forgo aesthetics and get something else. First, as others have stated on other review sites, the control panel is awful. It is hard to read and the buttons are set in such a way (presumable to keep someone from pushing a button unintended with cleaning the panel) that you have to press very hard in exactly the right spot. No feel and go with this unit. The food, in spite of the revolving turntable, does not heat evenly. The stainless steel, for some odd reason, is difficult to clean (exterior). We have had other stainless steel appliances from other companies that cleaned easily. Then, a short time after warranty expired, the unit failed to work. It turns out some of the factory work was not done well on the circuit board and a loose connection caused a short and burned out the primary microwave making unit. The dealer told us it was out of warranty, (barely) so we had it repaired, then one of their repair people said it was a defect, not a warranty issue and I should contact Samsung. Samsung used every excuse in the book, and finally said something along the lines of policy does not allow us to ever pay out of pocket expense, regardless of the cause or situation. End of story, end of Samsung. Later, a salesperson told me they have had numerous complaints about the unit. Samsung TVs are great. We thought the refrig, range, dishwasher, microwave would be good, too. Not happy with the other units, but at least they work. But I will never own another Samsung appliances!
Our Samsung Refrigerator RF267ABWP is 4.5 years old. We paid over $1,800 for it new. The ice maker recently quit working and then the water dispenser line froze up. We had a Samsung authorized repairman come out to fix the problem. Cost $417.00. We found out that actually, the Main Board had failed and it had apparently caused the ice maker and water line problems. We then found out there is a service bulletin issued via Samsung regarding the Main Board that had to be replaced to fix the problems. Samsung is obviously aware of the problem or the service bulletin would not be out there. Called Samsung to discuss this issue to see if they might reimburse us for the cost of the defective Board, since their company is aware of the Board problem. Terrible experience and now I know I will never ever purchase another Samsung product. After talking with multiple representatives, being accidentally hung up on, trying to sell me an extended warranty and absolutely refusing to let me speak to anyone in charge, like a supervisor, Samsung just completely ignored what I was telling them and said since our warranty was over, no offer of resolution for me. Each time I asked to speak to someone in charge, I was told they were busy. Each time I asked if this busy person could please call me back when they got a chance, I was ignored. I could not get anyone at Samsung to listen to what I was saying, or anyone to acknowledge the problem I was presenting to them. I am really Sorry I bought this Samsung refrigerator and advise anyone in the market for a refrigerator to keep looking until they find one of another brand that they like.
If you are considering buying Samsung Products - Save your money! We bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer in 2012 and already had to have repairs on the washer ($279 for latch on the door). The dryer is ruining our clothes because the lint trap is defective and sticks up and catches and twists the clothes until they break. Our Dishwasher that we purchased in 2014, sometimes takes 6 cycles to clean. The soap dispenser does not open or the cycle stops and all the lights start flashing. The other day the dishwasher ran for almost 6 hours while we were shopping and was making a horrible noise. I called Lowes, where we purchased and they were no help. I called Samsung and was told I needed to buy a new lint trap, and they could not help with the dryer. As for the dishwasher, I have a transaction number of ** and was told someone would call me within 24 hours to discuss what our next step was. It has been three days and no one has called. We also have a Samsung stove/oven and microwave - crossing fingers those last longer than the other appliances. Bad product and bad customer service!!!
Our Samsung RF220N refrigerator was delivered by Best Buy in May 2014. It failed in August 2018. It is now February 2019, and we are into month 6 of the warranty process, without satisfaction. Samsung Authorized repair people determined that the sealed refrigeration system had failed. This was 4 years and 4 months into the 5-year warranty for the closed system. The authorized repair people tried 4 times to repair the system with OEM parts. Each time it has failed within 36 hours. One set of OEM parts from Samsung arrived already broken inside the shipping box. The authorized service company has declared the refrigerator not-repairable using Samsungs own process, yet Samsung will not authorize a replacement or reimbursement, as provided by their own warranty.Samsung Customer Service prevaricates, obfuscates, misdirects, and does not return promised calls/texts/emails. They regularly deny my fridge is under warranty, despite my repeated submission of documentation. I have never spoken to the same person twice, and I suspect they use pseudonyms so contact info can be lost. They deny receiving my emails, and texts, and routinely claim that the last Customer Service person I talked to did not make any notes in the file. They have changed my claim ticket number 8 times. By the bye, the current number is in the 5 billion, 120 millions. That is over 16 claim numbers for every person in the US. At 8 numbers Ive fallen behind the national average. I suspect Samsung is delaying my claim until the warranty period has expired, and then they will deny all responsibility whatsoever. Our extended family has had several other Samsung devices fail: clothes washer, clothes dryer & DVD player. Need I mention the flammable self-combusting cell phones? Fortunately we never had the ice maker in this fridge connected to our plumbing, or we would likely have been in the claims process after only 1 year. Maybe we were unfortunate in that we might have ditched this faulty device long ago. I sincerely believe that a $1500 refrigerator should last longer than my electric toothbrush. We will never buy another Samsung product (yes, we are slow learners). Nevertheless, Never Again.
We have used Samsung refrigerator for past 4 years. Now we are facing a coiling problem for last 3 months. We complained to customer care service center but they are not responding properly. 2 times they visit and cost 3000, still we are facing the same. Now they told we are not manufacturing the part required for your fridge, so we are not responsible for this. So here after I will not prefer or suggest any Samsung products in my life. So I suggest anyone get free service from Samsung or else dont preface Samsung products. They are looking only for cost not for customer satisfactions.
Purchased new Samsung refrigerator only 3yrs. old, 1) Ice maker not working. 2) Changed water filter cartridge and water is leaking inside the tray. Called their tech. support. Told me to reset inside button for icemaker, No luck. Tried 5 times and check the temp. inside area, all good but still not making ice. 3) Several times inserted new water filter cartridge, still water is leaking. Called Tech. Told me I need to replace defrost sensor, icemaker heat probe for drain, total: cost $320 to fix. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL: RFG297HDRS/XAA. I will never buy Samsung product, GE is excellent experience I had. Lasted for 17 yrs. no problem and was working condition. Now this Samsung is not good, spend $1800+tax from LOWES.
I bought my Samsung refrigerator in 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and food being ruined continuously because it keeps defrosting. I have contacted Samsung numerous times about the issues. Their warranty is a joke. Especially when you have to pay $75 just to get the company they send out to look at the item. The food replacements was definitely not worth what I paid for this product. I have read horrible reviews on their appliances and unfortunately I regret purchasing this product. I will never purchase another Samsung product.
Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunday (8/5/2018). From the moment we plugged it in the display flashes an PC ER code. After some searching online found a fix for it that didn’t fix it (shocker) so Monday morning called Samsung to schedule a service, because I really wasn’t trying to load it back and return to store although in hindsight should’ve done that, tech arrived Tuesday and did the same thing I had already done to try and resolve the problem which I explained to the customer service representatives I spoke with when making the service appointment. One would think since the refrigerator model and serial number plus the problem was told to the representatives the tech they send out would come prepared with what would be needed to fix it... sadly not the case. So 2 days after purchase and a service visit I’m stuck waiting an additional 2-3 for the part that should (but not completely sure) fix the issue. I’ll be calling customer service to cancel everything and just load the piece of junk back up and return it and spend a little more for a more reliable brand. I will definitely not be purchasing any other Samsung home appliances. If you like the hassle of purchasing something and not having it work properly by all means spend the money on Samsung appliances and enjoy the stress and hassle of having to go through a service call on a new product.
I have had 2-4 refrigerators and the Samsung is the worst. Within 1 week the freezer was frosting over. The ice maker is useless. It doesnt matter if you have it on crushed or whole cube, it does what it wants. In fact, you cannot use crushed as it clogs up and just drops pieces of ice onto the floor at all hours.
I purchased this Samsung Bottom Freezer Refrigerator IN July 2018; had ice maker hook up by reputable plumbing service... Six months later started noticing in both veg compartments moisture build up & totally ruining my fresh fruit & vegetables. I have contacted Samsung online tech services and most recently and followed chat instructions and still the problem is not fixed; only worse? I have currently removed both veg baskets & leave a heavy towel to absorb moisture. This moisture/water compensation causes mold build up along the side of the two doors & top realm of freezer. Im a very disappointed & unhappy customer; I also have asthma condition & this mold is most unhealthy even for someone not compromised. I had previous refrigerator bottom freezer type & NEVER experienced any moisture in upper refrigerator.
Bought my Samsung refrigerator less than 3 years ago, March, 2016. I have had to have the ice maker replaced and now the refrigerator is not cooling properly. It has taken a month to get a repairman in to fix the problem. Less than 36 hours later after it being repaired, I was awaken at 4 am in the morning with my refrigerator making the same noise and stopped cooling AGAIN. Luckily the refrigerator is still under warranty but I was without for a month, now it is going to be another 2 weeks before they can come out and replace the same part they just replaced. It is 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, how is anyone supposed to live without a refrigerator at this time of year? This is inexcusable! Samsung needs to buck up and get these items fixed or replace our units with new ones!!!
I have been trying to receive my refund for my dishwasher for over 2months now (soon to be 3months). Im really fed up with all the back and forth emails and phone calls and wasted time! Im so disappointed in the terrible customer service we have received!!!! When I agreed on a price of 882.00, I then patiently waited for my refund check to arrive in the mail.. After waiting and waiting.. I then called to check the status of my refund to be told someone made a mistake and the refund amount would be a lot lower (in the 600s). I cant remember the amount that was offered. I willing agreed to take the lose and wait again for another refund check that would never arrive! Then my husband got fed up with the run around/playing games. Called to check the status of the refund after several days of no response to be told that our offer had been lowered even more and was waiting approval! I dont know how many times a refund needs approval and crossed checked before an actual refund is made, but.... Im beginning to think I will not receive my refund and that I was lied to once again! After being such a loyal customer who buys nothing but Samsung products...I find this to be slap in the face and will never, ever by another Samsung product again in my life. I just want what was promised to me!!! Please let me know when the money will be deposited to my account! And.. After waiting a long, I would like the full amount of the 882.00 that was offered to me! One dissatisfied customer!
We bought the our Samsung fridge in 2016. A month ago we had a problem with the Fridge cooling unit. Just found out that is unrepairable. Have contacted Samsung customer service centre and they are not helpful. I would not recommend to buy Samsung Fridges.
I have a Samsung refrigerator that I purchased about 3 years ago. Last Christmas we lost power for about 10 seconds and the refrigerator stopped working. I unplugged it and waited about 10 minutes and plugged it in again, and it started up again. Whoever heard of such a thing? I noticed one of the doors to the refrigerator was lower than the other, and scraping on the freezer door below... Ice maker is available, but I dont use it, and the cover kept falling off. Eventually the small box fell down into the freezer and I had to keep adjusting it until a friend finally unhooked it. Last night, (Sat. night) I opened the refrigerator door and noticed the temp. was 48 degrees. I unplugged again and waited 1/2 an hour then plugged it in again. It didnt work. I went to bed and this morning the refrigerator was working. I had a Samsung smart tv that lasted about 14 months and stopped working. My repairman said it could not be fixed and he had never seen such a cheaply made tv... I will never, ever, buy another Samsung product...
This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. We are 2 senior citizens and do not abuse our refrigerator or have an overabundance of food in the drawers but I will NEVER buy another one of your products. They are cheaply made and I might add quite expensive.
I have purchase three Samsung appliance less than four years ago from Brault and Martineau in Gatineau Quebec, the stove (Model FE-R400SWS) was recently service because I have notice that the top of the door was rusting and had yellow burn marks. The hinges and door seal were replace under warranty job was done by Cosmo-Tech. The extended service contract was purchase from Brault and Martineau under Comerco Service Inc. in Laval Quebec. Comerco refused to replace the damage door because it was cosmetic and not covered under warranty. Brault and Martineau refuses to help because it is a warranty matter. I have contacted Samsung technical service department and they also refuse to take responsibility for the damage door. A new door part number DG94-00223E would cost $350.50. Unfortunately these are the facts and I will let you make your own decision. Thank for your time.
My refrigerator (Samsung RF24FSEDBSR) has a unusual noise coming from the back. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug the unit for 24 hours and let it defrost (really a refrigerator without a defrost cycle). I have seen where ice builds up and the fan is actually hitting against the ice and thats what causes the noise. The 2nd issue is the ice maker, or rather the lack of ice making. The ice maker is always dropping water into the drip tray, and the tray stays full. When you dispense ice the ice is wet and usually a bunch of crumbles VS solid cubes. We called Samsung and went to Frys where we bought the unit and all they say is that its a common problem, then said check the gasket/seal on the door that lines up with the ice chute, and is the chute door closing all the way. Both worked as they should but we still have water dripping.
I have a Samsung microwave that is less than 2 years old and having a keypad problem. It starts up on its own, runs the Baked Potato. The only way I could stop it is to unplug the unit. I have a repairman come out recommended by Samsung and he said the parts are no longer available. For a 2-year-old microwave? We tried again after a few days and the display has :0 on it. But the unit is now working. I cant figure out whats going on, but at least its working for now. Samsung should recall this product. I wont be buying any Samsung items unless they fix this problem.
I bought a Samsung oven range microwave from Lowe’s about 6 months ago. The price was about $350. It almost burnt my kitchen down last night. Started making a sparking sound and then smoke came out. Smelled terrible. It’s dead now. Completely burnt up inside. Useless $350 appliance. Dont buy one.
We purchased the Samsung 3 door refrigerator in June of 2015. It started leaking water in July of 2016. Samsungs recommended repair company in our area has been to our home three times. Nothing theyve done has fixed the problem. The water has been turned off and disconnected and the line drained. After three water (or something) is still leaking into the deli drawer and onto the floor. We filed a formal complaint with Samsung last week, the only response weve gotten is that it was received. The guy who left the message said, You know, were a little busy right now. I will never buy another Samsung product. Looking for a class action suit to join, and found this. Stay away from anything Samsung!!
Ditto on all the above comments. Unfortunately we did not see the reviews before our dishwasher purchase 1 yr ago. Just like others have commented on, dishes werent cleaning, drying, or finishing cycles. And dont forget about all the blue sensor lights flashing all the time without any indication of the problem. Service came out and told us its the Display Unit that needs to be fixed. A $300.00 part, even though we just paid $600.00 for it brand new a yr ago. Contacted customer service to explain our issue, and they said there is nothing they could do and good luck. At the same time they were servicing my Samsung dishwasher, they were trying to fix the Samsung refrigerator that we bought on the same day. REALLY! Both appliances have problems at the same time? How nice for Samsung. So after paying 2 service fees on the same day for 2 appliances, we have decided to throw the dishwasher out in the driveway and put a sign on it saying FREE - Junk. We did mention to customer services about all the horrible reviews, and they could careless because they know more unaware consumers are going to make the bad choice of buying anything from Samsung.
From owning a Samsung TV we felt we could trust the brand by buying a dishwasher from the company. How wrong can one be. It seems they have no idea how a simple dishwasher works. Darn thing runs for over 2 hours and the dishes dont come out very clean. We have to prewash them which is a real bummer. UNCLEAN stuff collects under the door frame at the bottom of the washer which needs to be wiped off. It was black like mold. This is a box that is supposed to clean and stay clean and it isnt. Id expect the company recall these units as they are not healthy. We paid a lot of money for this poorly designed machine and I am thinking about taking it back to Best buy whom I bought it from. Not their problem as they just carry the brand. .
Do not buy Samsung. Do not use Sears to repair appliances. Our relatively new Samsung refrigerator Model RB215BSSW has the freezer on the bottom. The refrigerator freezes the vegetables in the vegetable drawer. We paid Sears $350 to replace the control panel but that did not fix the problem. Sears was clueless. They were guessing at how to fix it. So much wasted money!! Do not buy Samsung!!!
I purchased several Samsung kitchen appliances from Lowes in July of 2011. They are very attractive to look at. However, not quite two years after purchase I noticed the back wall of the refrigerator was icing up. I checked to make sure the items in the refrigerator were spaced well and not blocking the vents where it was icing up. After a number of attempts to stop this action, I called Lowes. I was told that since I had not purchased the extended warranty, I was out of luck. They did send an appliance repairman out who looked in the refrigerator and called Samsung Tech Support. I was told the advice given by Samsung was that I should unplug the refrigerator and leave it thaw out completely, then plug it back in and it should be fine. I wasnt happy about this solution and called Lowes who told me that I was encouraged to purchase the extended warranty when I purchased the appliance (evidently they knew something about Samsung appliances that I didnt). I was told that unless I followed the instructions from Samsung there was nothing they (Lowes) could do to help. I did as I was told, thereby losing $$$ worth of food I had purchased for expected guests. When I plugged the refrigerator back in, it worked...for two days. Started frosting up again. I called Samsung. They sent out a repairman, 10 days later. He looked at it, said he had to order parts. He would call when they came in. Its now approximately 3 weeks after discovering the problem. I waited another week to hear from the repairman, finally called and was told part just came in. Repairman came out 3 days later to fix the problem. He installed the part. Refrigerator worked for 2 days. Now would not cool below 66 degrees. I called Samsung. Repairman could not come out for 3 days. He was heavily scheduled. Ill bet he was...all with defective refrigerators. Finally he came out and said there was another part on the thermostat that was defective. He had seen it the first time but it appeared fine. $325.00 repair bill and over $300.00 worth of spoiled food, restaurant bills with guests, and finally the refrigerator works. The whole issue left me with 6 weeks of no refrigeration. Samsung said they would reimburse me for up to $200 worth of food. Ive submitted the necessary papers and documents 3 times...still no reimbursement. DONT BUY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! YOU WILL SURELY REGRET IT!!!
I was mad, totally mad for this - I purchased a double door fridge in 2010. From the next day, it stopped working. After then, I registered hundred times my complaints at customer care but till then today, I have no solution. Can anybody help me?
Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator; model RFG293HAWP/XAA, in November of 2011. The wide open cool select pantry draw opened and closed properly for a few months and now it jams on a regular basis. When I called service, they told me I was overloading the draw and not balancing the contents properly. Why design a large draw that you are supposed to leave half empty? And why did it not have a warning sign displayed in the showroom model with the above instructions? I certainly would not have purchased the product if I was correctly informed. Customer Service left me with an Oh well, live with it reply.
We purchased a set of Samsung appliance four years ago. After two years our ice maker was out of order. Beside that several interior components of our fridge are cracked, chipped and glued and zip tied due to how FRAGILE it is. After that the mother board of our range was out of order too. Called for service and $200 later was up and running. But not too long after the largest electric burner stopped working. As of today our dishwasher is COMPLETELY broken. To anyone reading this, please dont assume our family was rough with our appliance leading to this kind of issues. We always took good care of them and not only that but my wife and I both work in the food industry and know how to handle kitchen appliance commercial/residential. Weve warning anyone we know to not commit the same mistake we committed. Hope you would do the same. Good luck with your choice.
I bought a Samsung Rs2530 Bbp refrigerator from Best Buy in October 2008. It made a lot of ice at first, and we never ran out. In less than a year, it stopped cooling and decreased ice output. I set up a service call, and they replaced something inside behind the icemaker. They told me I needed to have less stuff in the freezer for it to work right. They extended my warranty to three months, and said the icemaker would work. On Christmas Eve, it quit cooling completely; they couldn’t get anyone out until after New Year’s Day. That ruined all my food and our holiday. They then said I cancelled the service call the day I took off to meet with them, and that I had to reschedule. That meant two vacation days off work. They got it running, but it still didnt make much ice. Then the warranty was over. Back in June, the power went out and it quit cooling again. I had one light flashing on the front. I found Jonathan ** of ARC who said he could work on Samsung appliances, and could come the same day--unlike the people Samsung wanted me to use. However, a few hours later the refrigerator just started working, so I told Jonathan I would get him to fix the icemaker in a few weeks. The power went out again last Wednesday; it stopped cooling, and I got the same flashing light. I tried to research the problem online. I found out that either the unit could be reset (didnt work), or it could resolve itself (didnt happen the first day like last time). Also, it could either need a control board (found for $60-$70 dollars), or depending on which light was flashing it could indicate a faulty sensor. Since I didnt know which, I had to call Jonathan. I told him I needed to know what part to replace. He came in asking questions like he hadnt spoken to me like, “So what is this flashing light for?”, “It just isnt freezing?”, “Looks like its working...the lights come on when I opened it.” and “Let me check the compressor.” After digging in it for a little longer, he asked me about the flashing light AGAIN, and said it was the control board. He could fix it for $450.20! He said the spare part was $260 and that he could get it in about three days. He would apply the $89 he was charging for the service call to the bill, or that he could get me the same refrigerator new for about $2000 or used for $1000. Really? I paid less than $900 when I bought it new. I decided to take a loss on the $89, and get the control board since he gave me the part number. Guess what? It wasnt the control board. I replaced it; I tried all the resetting and still had the same problem. I left it in a few hours to see if it would start working. Nope. I took it back out hoping the parts store would take it back. They wouldnt. I stopped payment on Jonathans $89 check, since I was now out of $72 more because of his wrong information, and the food decaying in my refrigerator and freezer. He not only tried to overcharge me for 5 minutes of work, he also misdiagnosed the problem and knew less about it than I did. I decided to just get a used refrigerator over the weekend, but late Friday it just randomly started working again. Okay. I bought new food and cleaned it out. We had a thunderstorm today and lost power. You know the rest; flashing light, not cooling and no one can fix it unless it fixes itself. Samsung shouldnt make refrigerators as I see this or similar problems all over. Jonathan ** of ARC is not qualified to diagnose or make repairs, and will rip you off.
I purchase this Samsung refrigerator three years ago. It’s been very noisy from day and recently it started leaking water and iced up even though its a frost free fridge. It not cooling food properly and it stop working altogether six days ago. I now have to purchase a new refrigerator. I will never been buying any Samsung appliances again. I feel totally ripped off.
Awful, the ice maker freezes all the time, it leaks everywhere. We all know they’re under a judicial battle over all these defects but incredibly Samsung doesn’t care or offer to fix refrigerators. Never again. Run away like it was the plague.
I bought this Samsung refrigerator RSG5FUPN three years ago and today I can testify that it was one of the worst shopping in my life (and I have over 40 years of experience with other refrigerators). It has many defects related to the quality of materials: A long crack (about 40 cm in length) was created in the inner wall of the freezer. At the bottom of the kiosk door, rust (corrosion) was spreading. The doors color faded and yellowed. Internal shelves and covers are broken for no reason (during normal use). Drawers have places where dirt accumulates and cannot be cleaned.
Poorly Made! Then kitchen is 1 month over warranty. Already the bottom metal strip of the oven door is coming off. It was actually glue and the glue is coming off. Very cheaply made. I called and they said to fix its $175.00. I had my last kitchen stove from GE for 13 yrs and never ever had an issue. Will NOT ever buy Samsung again. Very poor craftsmanship.
I have a RS265TDRS French door refrigerator now for 2.5 years. The cooling coils kept freezing up and it took 2 repairs costing $300 plus to fix the issue. Now the freezer is draining water into the lower part of the freezer and after a week water drains on the floor. Samsung will not warranty the defect and I will have to pay for the fix. And goodluck have a Samsung repair service center sending a representative out in a timely manner. After 3 days waiting for service, I called the service center (John Micheals) and was told yes they had a long backlog of service request. I called a local service company and had a repair service rep the next day.
I bought the 4-door RF4287HABP. Initially thrilled with it. After about 3 days, my wife noticed her wine (kept indoor) wasnt as cold as in our old dead LG. I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 40 degrees in lower door. I contacted Samsung and was told as long as temp fits in their 34 - 46 degree range there is no problem? I said that means I should be able to set it between 34 and 40 degrees. No, I was told. I stated milk needs to be at a max 40 degrees and this is what the gallon door storage is alluded to in their advertising. Then I asked for a sup thinking she was new. I was told the same thing and that my 4 thermometers were most likely off (not considering the whole issue started w/ luke warm wine). They said I needed to use a Samsung thermometer to be sure of results. I asked where I could get a Samsung thermometer. She said Samsung doesnt make thermometers? Triple wow! Well, that was enough of their customer service for me. Back that one went for a good old made in U.S.A. GE.
We purchased a Samsung fridge freezer from eBay, which we were very happy with. It seemed a great bargain... One day I realized I had given the kids sour milk on their cereal as the fridge had stopped working. We called out the service technician who defrosted the back with a hair dryer as it was completely frozen and the fan was locked solid with ice. When the fridge stopped again a few months later, we thought wed save the call out fee, etc., and do it ourselves. A couple of months later, and again. Do we have to pull the fridge apart for a couple of days every month or so?
This is a horrible dishwasher (DW80F600UTS). It has average performance for cleaning dishes and horrible drying capabilities. I have had to make 2 service calls for major repair within a 2 year period. Both for the same issue. There are so many online reviews with the same issues and many others. Samsung will not stand behind their product and have been no help at resolving the issue. This is a lemon and should be recalled.
The fridge would not cool! Service from Sears said they do not service, that is where I bought it! Call another service company, will be 8 weeks to get parts! This is 2 years old! Never buy!
Electric fire with Samsung range-top microwave, model SMH1713S - Purchased from Lowes Cerritos Town Center, Long Beach, CA, approximate price $300+/-. Normal use for less than one year, now producing smoke indicative of an electric short/fire in the mechanism. Also, failure of the main microwave generator as evidenced by lack of heating of material placed in the oven chamber. Major fire hazard, should be the subject of a recall from Samsung, but I do not see any indication that they have taken this type of action. Do not purchase Samsung microwave ovens. They are dangerous.
Love the functionality and setup of this freezer... when it works. Purchased in 2011 and worked fine for 4 years, Then water started leaking onto the tile floor causing a severe falling problem especially with my toddler. Service tech found a cm deep pool of mostly frozen water under the deli drawer but couldn’t explain it. Since then, we have had repeated problems with the back of the fridge freezing and stops cooling requiring manual defrost. Have lost full refrigerators of food several times. I have had to chip huge sheets of ice and suction freezing water out of the bottom of fridge multiple times. Major headache!! Fan is freezing up again so time to defrost again. That will consume our entire Sunday... RIDICULOUS for a $2000 machine!!!
We bought an elec. Samsung stove top and oven combo because home was wired for elec. We had a Whirlpool before and it was great. This $2000.00 Samsung is pure junk. Burners are way too hot and cycle on and off all the time. The surface is also very hard to clean. We like nothing about this thing. Please dont buy. It is the absolutely awful. It looks good but, that the only good thing we have to say about it. Just would like one that works like a stove top should and be somewhat easy to clean with a constant temp. Samsung 30-in Smooth Surface 5-Element 5.8-cu ft Self-Cleaning with Stream Slide-in Convection Electric Range [Stainless Steel] Price was $1,799.00. Impossible to make candy or anything that needs constant temp.
Like many dissatisfied and cheated people... My parents range top cracked with a loud noise last night (while everyone was in another room of the house) breaking the stove top, literally just a month after the one year warranty expired. This is ridiculous! That a company can get away with this! Hundreds of dollars down the drain and now they are forced to purchase a new one!? Or perhaps replace the specific part for two hundred dollars and just hope it doesnt just keep happening? Which clearly it will with all of the people having similar experiences. The previous oven they had lasted my parents 20 years! Whats worse is that they purchased a matching Samsung washer, dryer, and microwave. Who knows when those are gonna break or blow up? As of right now I plan to contact an attorney, this is happening to way too many people for Samsung to not do a better job of helping. Why are these appliances still being sold to people??? We bought ours at Best Buy who of course are more than happy to take their money for another oven. My parents are older and they arent gonna get online and research this stuff. So sad, that companies can take advantage of people like this. It has to stop! It broke my heart to see my dad trying to figure out what went wrong with this damn thing last night.
Been having nothing but problems with our Samsung fridge ice maker. Had a repair guy out (hard to find someone who works on Samsung appliances) and he said it’s a known issue and he recommends Whirlpool. He said not to invest too much more in the Samsung fridge for repairs. He “fixed” the issue and 2 weeks later ice worker isn’t working again. Wish we didn’t buy this Samsung fridge and would’ve listened to the bad reviews.
Within a year of purchasing Stainless Steel Samsung Refrigerator the ice maker started freezing over. We tried to remedy the problem ourselves with hair dryer. We heard of people wasting their money on a tech to try and fix the problem but it caused more frustration because the problem wasnt fixed. The water filter doesnt work either. We get our ice from old Kenmore refrigerator in the garage. Very disappointed in Samsung. My husband and I have Samsung phones. Our next phone purchase will be Apple.
We have had this fridge for less than 3 years, as early as 6 months from when we bought it the ice maker would stop working and the fan would get loud, after having a service tech out he said it was a common issue with these as they constantly do this, so I went on line and found numerous people with the french door and ice maker combo have the same issue--Seems like a design flaw, but Samsung doesnt seem to do anything about it. So usually once every 6-8 months I would have to dump the entire fridge/freezer (we keep an old fridge in the basement essentially to allow for this) and unplug the fridge and allow it to thaw out overnight, then I remove the back panel of the fridge (inside) and thaw the cooling unit out with a hair dryer, re-assemble it and we are good to go.The last year we seem to be needing to do this every 2-3 months, I had to do it tonight after 5 weeks--This is ridiculous. My wife said, Wow you are getting really fast at taking this apart and thawing out the cooling unit--While this was meant as a compliment, its kind of crazy that I need to become fast or good at thawing out the fridge--The one in the basement thats 15 years old I never have to touch--The thing is we own a Kitchen cabinet business and we always have to recommend appliances to clients, guess what we DO NOT recommend to them, 1) samsung appliances in general (just replaces 4 year old samsung washer/dryer set) (2) fridges with ice makers. So please do your self a favour and do not buy this fridge. Samsung needs to stop making the RF25HMEDBSR OR ANY UNIT SIMILAR AS ITS A PIECE OF JUNK.
My Samsung 28 cu. ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, MODEL NUMBER: RF28HMEDBSR/AA, is used on a daily basis by my family of 5. I purchased this refrigerator in July of 2017 for roughly $3,000 from Home Depot. After 4 months of use the Ice Maker began to fail to produce ice. Failures consisted of total freeze up of system ice dispensing unit, water leaks out of ice holding tray down front of refrigerator. After making numerous calls and chats to Samsung and multiple defrost actions, Samsung sent out a repair person to replace ice maker. Today I contacted Samsung and communicated that service repair didnt resolve the issues of total freeze up and water leaks from ice machine. The Samsung Tech was helpful, but communicated that repair would be at my cost since warranty had just expired. Not cool since service didnt resolve the issue.
Ive had my refrigerator quite a few years and every time I clean it I get frustrated. I asked for help before and never got anywhere. My problem is when I pull out to wash either the vegetable or fruit drawer to wash them there is a space in the bottom front of the drawer where garbage accumulates like seeds from peppers or a piece of parsley, etc. and there is no way we can remove the front part of the drawer in order to clean that out. I chatted with Support and I was told there is no way to remove the front part of the drawers to wash. Its my only complaint about my refrigerator. All is well otherwise. I was told my feedback would be forwarded to the Company.
We purchased a new Samsung range just over 1 year ago. We loved it, easy to use and with the removable tray. It seemed like the perfect oven for our needs. I wish I had seen some of these reviews prior to our purchase. I have an error message E-27. The oven shuts down when this message comes up and it struggles to reach temperature. The manual tells us to throw the breaker or pull the plug to reset the oven. We did this and it worked for almost a week, however the problem is back and from the reviews I fear the worst. I thought this was a good product, but Im now wondering what my fate will be.
Bought a Samsung Microwave Model ME 21H706MQS. It was installed in January of 2017. The power panel stopped working in February of 2018 immediately after warranty expired. Had it repaired and now in November of 2018 the power panel has stopped working again. Have called several repair personnel who will not even come out to fix it - was told I would be better off to buy a new one and to make sure it was not a Samsung! Also bought a Samsung refrigerator and had trouble with the ice maker. Dont buy a Samsung!
Samsung 2.0 cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave Model SMH9207ST - On August 21, 2013, we purchased this Microwave. On Sunday, December 14, 2014, it simply stopped working. After checking to see that the outlet was hot, I attempted to reset the microwave by leaving it unplugged. Plugged it back in with no results, unless you count nothing happening as a result. This microwave replaced an earlier one from Samsung with the dreaded SE error code that wed had for about 2 years. We got another Samsung because our experiences with 4 Samsung televisions, refrigerator and washing machine had all been good. Bad decision. Ill be replacing this one with a Whirlpool. Im fairly certain that quality has probably been compromised over the past 20+ years, but there was a 3 year old Whirlpool microwave in the house when we bought the house and it didnt get replaced for another 18-19 years. I cant remember, but it may have been replaced because of its outdated styling, not because of any problems. Well see how a 2014 generation Whirlpool microwave holds up.
We bought this double range in 2014. On Jan of 2017 we were moving the range to have a new floor put in. When the floor was done we moved the range back to where it was and plugged it in. When we did this it blew the breaker. We then shut off the electric and checked the range. We could smell smoke from the back of the range. We took the back of the power cover off and found the black plastic clamp that holds the wire to the power cord let go and the wires hit the cover and shorted out the range. I was told that there was nothing that could be done. I feel this is a serious safety issue and it could cause serious problems or fire. Will not buy another.
My Samsung RFG298HD refrigerator is about 5 years old. Earlier this year the icemaker stopped working... Got that problem fixed. Shortly after that, water began pooling in the Cool Select Pantry Drawer and now the drawer seems to be frozen in place and will not open at all. After some internet research Ive learned this a fairly common problem with Samsung refrigerators and apparently Samsung has chosen not to address the problem. This was a very expensive refrigerator and Im not happy with the product and WILL NOT buy another Samsung appliance. My last refrigerator was a Kenmore. We had for over 20 years which was still working perfectly when we replaced it with the Samsung junk.
Samsung Refrigerator Model # RF263AEBP, Serial # JJ054GBZ400358B, and date of purchase: 04-30-2010. On 3-21-12 on line chat with Samsung: I am having a problem with the middle vent holes inside of the back of the refrigerator frozen with ice. Also, the bottom of the inside of the refrigerator is full of water. I had the same problem back in September and I defrosted the vent holes with a hair dryer (like the Samsung customer service rep told us to), and we wiped up all the water but now the same thing happened again! Eventually it fills up and leaks on the floor! I had a local repair tech that just became an authorized Samsung dealer but he didnt know what the problem was and he couldnt get through to Samsung. My wife and I are very upset that this is happening since it is only 1-1/2 years old and we spent $1,143.84 to purchase it! It already did cost me $85.00 for the repair guy to come out and he couldnt do anything. Even though the warranty has run out, we dont feel that we should have to pay to have this repaired. Now, it is making loud/soft humming noise and I cant get the temperature inside the refrigerator lower than 53 degrees! Also, I just cleaned out all the water sitting inside the bottom again under the cool select pantry we have to do it once a month! It was going to take a Samsung tech several days before they could come out so I called another local repairman and he came out the next day. He spent a lot of time at my home and did figure out what was wrong. The back panel inside was completely frozen up. He had to order (2) parts and come back and replaced a defective inside heating element and also a new fan motor assembly because it burnt out from trying to run while frozen. His total charges came to $314.82. The repair was made on 04-12-12.Last week, the middle vent holes started freezing up again. I defrosted it with a hair dryer (which is what a Samsung customer service rep told me to do way back when I first started having the problem), but it started freezing up again this week. I am going to call the repairman I had out and discuss it with him. I’m thinking that the refrigerator is either not going into a defrost cycle enough times or the inside heating element isn’t sufficient to do the job or Samsung is selling defective parts. I will let you know what happens and how much more it is going to cost me. This has been a frustrating, ongoing ordeal for both my wife and I. After spending so much money, we expected to not have something like this happen for many years!
We purchased a 3 door, 26 CU.Ft. French door Samsung refrigerator with an indoor water dispenser in November of 2012. Approximately a year and a half after the purchase, our refrigerator started making strange noises and there was water spilling out. We contacted Samsung and later had a technician from Best Buy come out and diagnose the refrigerator. Luckily he was able to repair it - he explained that the refrigerator had to be defrosted as the coils had frozen over. Since then, every five to six months we have had to defrost our refrigerator to keep it working. Ice builds up and the cooling element fails. We now keep a close eye on the fridge. The first time it froze over we lost food. Since then we have moved quick to defrost it before it appears to be running warm. But we do worry about the regular cooling in light of this problem. At bottom, this is not what we expected from our purchase. We bought a brand new refrigerator and have not received the quality we expected.
We bought all new Samsung appliances upon moving into a new house, the washing machine has a defective motor in less than 2 years and the refrigerator has been repaired twice. Will never buy Samsung products again.
My Samsung dishwasher broke after 6 months. Soap was still in the dispenser after the cycle was finished. They fixed it and it broke 2 months later and Samsung gave me the run around for a month. I could not get anyone out here to fix it. I called Home Depot, where I bought it from and they finally sent someone out. They came 3 times and changed several parts. The machine was still broken. We have had food poisoning and are sick with colds constantly from the mold smell in there. Samsung offered to buy it back and they have taken 2 months so far to get this together. I have had this moldy, dishwasher in my kitchen and they keep giving me the run around. Terrible customer service. Games played with me and people even hanging up on me when I have called them. I wish there was something more I could do. I wish someone could call for me and fix this. Samsung is making me keep this dishwasher until they are done with the paperwork and say that the refund is complete. They said if I get rid of the dishwasher that they would not give us our money back. I do not know what else to do. Maybe call a lawyer and sue them. Why are they holding me hostage. I need that refund to buy a new one. I the meantime, I am washing 3 loads of dishes by hand a day, while being sick from this junk dishwasher. How can they do this.
I would never recommend Samsung refrigerator. After a year I had no ice maker, I also had ice backup on the back of my refrigerator. Also the temperature gauge was off and my food started spoiling!!! Worst refrigerator ever!!! The customer service is horrible.
Purchased a Samsung from Home Depot April 14. I call Samsung about every four months for two issues. 1- the refrigerator is growling and making monster noises and 2 - another piece of the inside broke to pieces. Another shelf, drawer etc. cracked, broke or crumbled and has to be secured with flex tape or thrown in the garbage because it is unusable. See pictures. Its completely unbelievable!Hours on the phone with Home Depot (where we bought the additional warranty) and they send us to Samsung & Samsung sends us to National Factory Service for diagnostic and at a cost to us: $85. They heard. They came. They saw. They did nothing. Just head scratches and the words: PARTS OUT OF WARRANTY. When I call Samsung these days, they try to sell me an extended warranty for $129, which doesnt cover the parts. I mean have you ever? Its such a joke! There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung ~ apparently for the icemaker + and, yes, our icemaker gives us non stop issues.
The refrigerator is a really good appliance. The biggest reason I didn’t give the appliance a 5 is because it dents very easily. I would recommend the fridge for use but with the knowledge that any bump for example kids running into it on their ride on toys will cause dents.
