Samsung has a design flaw and all of their 7933 model dishwashers. They refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. The top basket and spray arm assembly inserts into the bank of the dishwasher to get water. The rubber washer rubs against a hard plastic jet. It rubs until it’s worn out. The basket will push away from the nozzle and the water will not ever get to the spray arm. Hundreds of thousands of units are designed to fail and consumers will think they are not using the right detergent or rinse aid or some suchlike thing. The glasses on the top rack do not get clean because no water sprays to wash them. Samsung refuses to even admit there may be a problem. I know, Ive spent 4 hours on the phone.

I bought this model a year ago in June 2016. We had one visit from tech so far when refrigerator refused to turn on and cool. Tech came and fixed issue with electronic board. Now just over a year later I am having same problem as previous writer. The refrigerator is not cooling yet freezer is. Am attempting to contact service, but meanwhile all food is spoiling. Our last refrigerator - simple model different brand with no bells whistles lasted ten years without an issue. Would not recommend this model due to issues after only one year plus. Obviously this is occurring after the warranty has expired so it will cost money to repair.

Will never buy a product made by Samsung ever again. Purchased a fridge 4 years ago and had problems 2 months outside the warranty period. Called Samsung customer service. Was told that we would have to bear the cost ourselves. They will notify the technician and he will call us the same day. 3 days later no contact. Spoke with Samsung again... useless. Fan iced up and fridge stopped being cooled so all food went bad. The technician (we found ourselves) that serviced it said it was a design flaw and he had seen a lot of these problems in Samsung fridges. Samsung have no idea of customer service. Today our fridge finally died - both fridge and freezer too warm. Went out today and had to buy another fridge/freezer..... WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR EVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AGAIN.

We purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher when we moved into our house in July of 2012. Within 5 months, there were 5 repairs done under warranty. Within a year, at least 5 more. Finally, one repairman told us the issue AND how to repair it. Samsung was no longer willing to cover any repairs as it was off warranty.Jump ahead to 6 years later and I myself have repaired the machine over 40 times. One of the cords that connects the control panel to the rest of the machine is too short so it gets pulled every time a wash is done. After a few cycles, it disconnects. Just have to remove a few screws and reconnect. We paid $700.00 Canadian, brand new. Samsung was not willing to cover more repairs after a year, refused a return, etc. I have documentation regarding my letters to them, as well as too much time spent on hold waiting for help. I finally just gave up. Washes well, I cannot afford another one at this point. Fed up beyond belief and no one was willing to help us.

RFG237AARS purchases 2/2013. I have a Samsung Range and Dishwasher and havent had any issues with those appliances, but this refrigerator is definitely a lemon. There are quite a few Youtubers out there showing the icing problem. They are chiseling ice blocks off the fridge. The fridge starts making an annoying sound which happens to be the twin cooling fan system hitting the ice. Thats not right. Its disappointing that Samsung is not addressing the issue. I have been able to care for mine periodically and unthaw it from time to time, but its definitely a feature Samsung isnt being upfront about. I’m sure at some point the fan will break because of the issue. I can only imagine what expenses they would try to push onto the consumer(me), and given the age of the refrigerator it isnt worth a $500 repair bill. It doesnt sound like people are having much luck with repair(s) either. Some report multiple repairs yet they still have a dud afterwards.

I bought Samsung dishwasher and a Samsung refrigerator. A little after a year our dishwasher went out. Samsung sent out a repairman. It cost us a little over $200.00 dollars to get fixed. A few months later it stopped working again. Decided to get rid of the dishwasher. The icemaker and the fridge part of our refrigerator stopped working. Samsung referred us to Service Quick to repair it. The serviceman told us the ice maker will need to be replaced and to fix the fridge he will need a sensor. The cost would be $900.00 and $200.00 service call. I called Samsung again and they do nothing for people who buy their products. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS. We decided to buy another refrigerator. NOT A SAMSUNG!

Two years ago I purchased a Samsung Side by Side refrigerator RS5267TDWP. The refrigerator portion stopped cooling. I had to throw all my food out. I had purchased the extended warranty. The repairman came out and determined what the problem was. One of the parts I needed was an Evaporator cover. The part number given to the repairman did not match what was in my refrigerator. Samsung insisted it was the right part. They had no other options. So Samsung cant remember or look up what parts they used in their refrigerators two years ago. So here I sit with no refrigerator. All the comments about the ice maker are spot on. The ice cubes freeze in the chute. Whoever designed the ice maker was a sadist. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. My last refrigerator made by Amana lasted 14 years at half the cost.

We liked the middle drawer and the fact that you can open a little door to get drinks out without opening a regular door. Will NEVER buy Samsung ANYTHING again. The right side door started on day 1 making a horrid noise when shutting. This took three service calls so far. Seems to be okay after third fix! Then ice maker froze solid, couldn’t even pull out the tray/bucket. So to fix it, we had to unplug the fridge for several days before they came to repair it. Because of a problem with a different fridge that we put our stuff in for those three days, we lost all food from the fridge. So they came and put in a new ice maker with updates from Samsung. Uh, well, now 3 months later, we have an ice maker completely frozen solid again. Unbelievable! And now out of warranty. We had moved from a GE Profile kitchen in which nothing had a problem for 15 years, and mistakenly chose Samsung! What happened to this country wherein these companies can sell subpar crap for outrageous amounts. This goes for TVs as well, that only last a couple years if you are lucky!

Again. Bought a Samsung French door refrigerator #RF263BEAESR/AA and within the first year we had to have several service calls for the ice maker freezing up and dripping down the fridge into the crisper drawer and ruining all the food also causing bad smells. The serviceman even showed us the design flaws and how to melt the ice but it was always a temporary fix as it continues to happen. We do not even try to use the ice maker at this point. We always keep a bag of ice in the bottom freezer. We are currently living out of two coolers for our daily essential foods as now the fridge is not getting cold enough and the freezer is not working. This was not a cheap purchase. I cannot believe all the problems and now having to not have use of the fridge at all. We have filed with the class action suit but right now hoping to find out that there was a recall.

I purchased my Samsung French door refrigerator, model RF26HF, December of 2014. From the start the fridge was louder than my old one. Shortly after that the ice machine was producing ice at a very slow rate and is currently making ice when it wants too. We have also encountered a flap misalignment on one of the French doors. Currently, August 20, 2016, I found a pool of water at the base of my fridge, underneath the food storage bins. When I removed the storage bins I discovered a thick piece of ice the width of the base of the fridge. I also saw water dripping from the twin cooling back panel as well as coming out from the base of the door. As figured I was over my one year warranty and Samsung needed to charge me to look at the problem.Samsung did try to blame it on a filter issue and then a humidity issue, which is neither the problem. Samsung left me with no resolution and stated a technician needed to be called in to determine the exact issue. I was not given a price because that couldnt be determined until a ticket was created. After hearing this ridiculous news, I have had enough with Samsung. After reading many many poor and similar issues with this specific refrigerator Samsung needs to acknowledge a true manufacturing problem thats affecting many families. At this point with everyone having the same issue there should be a recall in place. I will never buy a Samsung product ever again!

Shame on Samsung! I bought a refrigerator RT2BSRTS1 in Hong Kong and it was delivered on 25 July 2011. However, we found out that it didnt work the next day. So, we called costumer service and a staff from the maintenance department checked on it on the 27 July 2011. According to the repairman, the refrigerator cannot be fixed and they will just have to replace it as soon as possible. It is already July 30 and I am still waiting for their arrangement. They always say that it is still being processed! It is very urgent to me. All my stuff is just being kept in the kitchen cabinet. It is 30 degrees Celsius so the food will spoil! What happened to this Samsung Company? I would never buy Samsung products. Shame on you, Samsung!

Two weeks later we are still getting up glass and also have had small slivers in our feet and hands. There is a company tag inside the oven draw that states it was sold in Feb. 2013. The Model number is: JOVO7DDD201222A and the SN NE595ROABSR. The report transaction number is: **. The last one was: **. Referred to Warranty services in TX. 7 - Tyrone/warranty dept states Repair’s documentation isn’t clear about who or what damaged the unit….warranty voided. We are the not so proud owners of a brand new broken microwave and I felt compelled to warn others. 494 bucks is 494 bucks and the fact is we paid them for a broken product and they didn’t make it right. That’s completely unethical. Shame on Samsung. Shame.

In July 2012, we had to buy a new refrigerator because the compressor on the old one died. We usually buy appliances from Best Buy but now appliances have been taken over by Pacific Sales. We got their cheap extended warranty and, to this day, the ice maker has failed to function properly. Warranty was called and out of the 4 times, they paid 3 and the last one I had to fight the warranty company (Warren Tech the worst company to deal with) because I kept saying that the ice maker isnt functioning properly because every month the ice builds up and no ice comes out. Samsung will not even help because the manufacturers warranty is over and the problem is now the warranty companys problem. Bought 6/24/13, arrival 7/9/13 SS No. W65043BD501879 - the ice maker leaks through water and ice levers. These need to be two separate levers, not on top of each other. On 7/10/14 a new ice maker installed. Today 1/11/15, still leaking. Ice not cubed as requested, pieces. Water runs down door to floor each time levers pushed and even when not in use. I have called three times, not good English, not a script for this problem. I called authorized dealer, he told me how terrible Samsung was but did install new ice maker. Nothing changed. This all started about six months into use of refrigerator. Love the drawer, inside of refrigerator, hate how it works. Will get rid of this first chance. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators.

After numerous calls and spoiled food because coolers arent the greatest at preserving food Samsung said that I had to find my own maintenance company. Well Oddly enough there is no one in my area besides the company that could not get one screw out, to repair my fridge. Samsung said there was nothing they could do. Now fast forward a few months my microwave is now broken. Im sure I will get nowhere with this broken appliance as well. Through all the calls and hours spent on the phone and the food reimbursement check Samsung said they would send us I have gotten nothing from them and no answers. My Samsung French door 28 cu. ft. refrigerator was purchased in April 2011
My Samsung French door 28 cu. ft. refrigerator was purchased in April 2011 from Lowes. It cost $2,800.00; that’s a lot of money. I had a Samsung washer and dryer and a big screen TV that I was happy with, and was not aware of any problems with their refrigerators. The other day, I tried to get ice from the dispenser and no ice came out; just water. I called Samsung and they told me to reset the icemaker. I told them we had ice but none would come out of the dispenser. We cleaned out the old ice, reset the icemaker, and waited 24 hours like they said. The ice maker made ice but none would come out of the dispenser. I called them back, and they said they would send out someone to look at it, but could not tell me how much it would cost. For some reason, I did not purchase an extended warranty; I have it on everything else. About a few days after purchasing fridge, my brother-in-law died and my husband had a heart attack at the funeral so I did not think about the warranty about a week later. I called Lowes trying to get one, and they could not as it was a week later. Then I called Samsung, and they would not give me an extended warranty; so I have none. Now I am left with a $2,800.00 fridge with no ice or pay the high price for a service man to fix it. We are seniors, and you would think that the icemaker would work longer that than 2 years. I have never had an icemaker go out on much cheaper fridges. Sorry, but this sucks.

Updated on 01/25/2019: Wow. I cannot believe that Best Buy still carries this garbage, they are going to ruin their own reputation with this crap in their stores. Samsung creates crap appliances, crap. We have had a repairman out to fix the fan. He spent hours defrosting it, did nothing in the end, and charged over $200. The fan is already a few weeks later buzzing so loudly and is frozen up, again. (Told that this is pretty typical)After emailing the repairman multiple times, calling and getting a voicemail that is just random talking and not an actual voicemail message, the voicemail was full. We called Samsung directly after this experience and they advised we get in contact with the repairman to resolve the problem. THANKS. We are out of warranty of course, so they do nothing. Absolutely nothing. We accelerated to the manager or whatever who was a woman in a call center out of the Dominican Republic. She had no advice other than to call another repairman. I will never buy Samsung anything ever again, I will not say good things about them, and I will tell anyone and everyone I know to never ever buy Samsung appliances. NEVER.Original Review: I am so displeased with EVERY Samsung appliances we purchased. The fridge being the absolute worst, it’s been just barely a year and we already have a fan blown, not creating ice and who knows what that loud buzzing was that has quit working. They look great but they are not worth the price paid. Don’t bother, get the brands who know what they are doing.

We have had our refrigerator for only a couple of years. First the ice maker broke. Then it started making this loud noise that would stop when we opened the door. We had a technician come out and fix these problems. This was only a few months ago. Recently, I had noticed our milk didnt seem that cold even though the temp read 38 degrees. The problem started getting worse so we reset the fridge by unplugging it. This made the temp gauge work again and the true temperature was 66 degrees! After having already spent over $300 to repair this new refrigerator, I am reluctant to spend more to get this new problem fixed, especially after reading these complaints.

I bought a Samsung stainless steel dishwasher at Home Depot. I bought this appliance in December 2019. I started seeing rust on the door just four months into the appliance. I called customer service. They sent a guy over. He took pictures and said they will contact me. No one ever came back. I still have rust on the dishwasher terrible terrible. I will never buy Samsung again.

I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

Our only 5-year old Samsung fridge was pronounced too expensive to repair today. It hasnt worked well for a couple of years, no ice at first, and then inadequate cooling in both freezer and cooler. Ive been purchasing 10 lb bags of ice. But, it doesnt even keep it frozen well. Now this was a $2,200 retail product. Samsung has done nothing to help with this dud and Lowes, the retailer, is about as useless too. After conversations with both, we have decided to buy American and chose HH Gregg for our replacement. No.... its not a Samsung and there will never be another Samsung product in this house.

Called the Samsung company on many occasions regarding the problem. The Samsung company offered me a $150.00 gift card for our troubles. Today called to follow up on the gift card NOTHING!!! They will not honor their promise of the gift card for our troubles. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. The ABSOLUTE WORSE!!! Buyer Beware after purchase they forget about you and anything to do with their product.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher from Sears. I havent even finished paying for it. I called out technician and he advised its $75 for him to come, $170 if he does anything. Apparently, warranty is out before its even finished paying for. I looked at black sludge and it looks like dissolved o-rings he and said its not dissolved o-rings but bugs. Bugs? we asked. Yes, bacteria. He said we must use vinegar every two weeks and glisten every month. It smelled bad all the time and this horrendous black sludge was all over in there under the filter (11 x 3 inch bolts to remove to get under there) by the door seals. So putting it back together, one of the plastic parts cracks when the bolt goes in. Now it shuts off if there isnt enough rinsing agent and wont go. It shuts off if you dont slam the top drawer hard and break a couple glasses. This is a really expensive piece of crap. My mother is devastated as she thought this fancy thing would be the last time she bought an appliance. Its a waste of a pensioners money and Sears says talk to Samsung. Samsung says Sears is the person to contact during warranty and any other repair person who can do Samsung after that. Its not their problem. It never worked well. The quick cycle is two hours. I am sad for my mother and I have had to try to figure it out for her several times. What a garbage!

I bought this refrigerator because of the high tech features. For weeks I tried to sync my calendar from my phone to the refrigerator screen with no success. I admit I am not that savvy on tech, but I had two people who are and they gave up. I had the box for less than a year. The lock on the water/ice control comes on and you have to go through the screen to find the lock and unlock it. For the second time, the dispenser will not toggle from ice to water. The entire part was replace less than a month ago and I am having the same problem. I love the idea of high tech and the integration but clearly, if you cant get a Samsung phone to sync with the Samsung refrigerator there is a problem. This was NOT a cheap unit so I am frustrated to pay so much and have nothing but problems. The customer service is terrible. They always tell you to reboot the computer or turn off the refrigerator and refresh it by plugging it back in after a minute. Easier said than done. The refrigerator is in a cabinet and I have to roll it out and squeeze in to unplug it and plug it in again. I had a Kenmore for 15 years and never had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. I am very dissatisfied with this appliance.

My fridge was only just 6 years old purchased in December 2013. It was stored in my shed, switched off, not used from Jan 2018 to Oct 2019 while we renovated. It just stopped working by not getting cold in January 2020 after being back in service for 4 months. I could not get a Samsung service agent to look at it. Finally a fridge mechanic that I found, advised me the fridge has failed to hold the refrigerant gas and even though the compressor was still working fine it cannot be repaired. I called Samsung Australia several l times and also used chat, had to follow up 5 times and despite my case being looked into as it was outside warranty any help or warranty replacement was denied. Reading the ACA website I would class this as a major fault that could not be repaired. Had I have known that there was a chance that a major fault would occur in only 5 years an expensive $2000,00 fridge would be thrown in the rubbish then I would have never purchased this brand. Its possible the pipework with the gas was poor quality material and can breakdown, something that never used to happen. A good quality fridge should last 10-15 years.. It has leaked all the poisonous R5 gas into the ozone layer and my kitchen and Samsung did not care. Samsung only offer a 2 year standard warranty on the new fridge products..So dont expect it to last much longer than that. Good looking fridge to attract you in, but I will never recommend you buy a Samsung fridge. Once bitten twice shy.

In comparison, the Samsung glass top is much less durable and more prone to scratching and damage. I also cannot seem to get the self clean to function. Have had a service man come twice $$$, to no avail. Ive decided Ill keep this lousy refrigerator for a few more months and DUMP it. Its not worth investing another penny! In May, 2016 we purchased a Samsung Microwave Model # ME16H702SES/A... and the rest of the number is not visible due to the fire which burned off the serial number and part of the model number. I suspect the fire started due to electrical arcing between the microwave housing and the door, because I had that on another model six years ago, and the arcing started while the unit was not being used. The fire started in October 2016 and we contacted Home Depot Canada, the vendor. They took the information and said someone from Samsung would be coming to look at the damage and by the middle of November 2016 no one had come. We called Home Depot again and they told us to contact Samsung Canada for help. We did so, and on December 2, 2016 we received an email from Meyson **, asking us for a copy of the store receipt and photographs of the damaged area. On December 14 I sent the photographs, also asking him to confirm the receipt of the information. He replied the same day stating he had not received the photographs, I sent them again the same day, both times I sent them, there was no negative feedback from the email system, and this indicates the emails had gone through. On December 23 I had not received a reply from Meyson ** so I emailed him again indicating the length of time it was taking to acknowledge and repair this product, and heard nothing from him.December 27, I called the Samsung Canada Specialty Group (where Meyson ** works) and he wasnt available so we described the problem to another support person, they said in order to help us they required an order number. Obviously they didnt know the difference between an order number and a ticket number. After 30-35 minutes on the phone with a few individuals, it was useless going forward. We called Home Depot again asking for the appliance rep in the store where we purchased the unit and he was on vacation. At this point there is little use in pursuing this through the Customer Support area so we will file an incident with the Better Business Bureau and the CSA Group since we have had more success with the CSA in the past than the vendor.

Bought the unit last 2014 and started using it when we moved into our new unit in July 2014. Within 2 years, stains and discoloration appeared on both doors. In April 2017, have shelled out 1k plus for a replacement of what they called sensor, cause my freezer is not functioning. In less than 1 year, as of this writing, March 2018, it malfunctioned again, cant produce ice cubes and the whole unit is not cold enough to cool a pitcher of water. The mechanic from their authorized service center, checked it up and gave me an estimate amount of PHP5,000 to replace a leaked hose etc. I will now spend 6000 plus for a unit that I have used only for less than 4 years. I would rather buy a new unit if I have an extra money, and if I do never would I buy any appliances from this brand.

We have purchased a Samsung slide-in range double oven ($1842.29), model (NE58F9710WS/AA) (1 year warranty plus 1 year extended warranty), on 8/22/2015. First time, I did use the self cleaning function. First issue: The TCO (=partition part MELTED in the back of the stove). Technician came: diagnosis 4/4/16, fixed 4/11/16 and 4/26/16. I have been told to use steam cleaning function instead of self cleaning option!!! But one of my criteria purchase always has been to buy an oven with self cleaning function which is so opened to work properly and safely. Second time I did use the self cleaning function (5/31/2016), halfway (1 hour 10 min) thru (3 hours in manual) the control panel died, the oven door locked, the range, the stone countertop, the kitchen cabinets, the glass backsplash way too, too hot!!Calling right away 18007267864. The customer service told me to wait at least 8 hours to let the oven cool down. I couldnt believe my ears. Next day, oven door still locked, calling again customer service explaining I didnt trust anymore this product, asking for an exchange or refund, refusing a repair service. Samsung product Review denied my request over a long week fight with agents, supervisors, executive from customer service, I had no other choice than accepting a service repair or keeping an useless range-oven. Technician came (6/9/2016), diagnosis temperature sensor BROKE, got it fixed. Technician witnessed our closest kitchen cabinet from oven have been damaged by the excessive heat!! 2 hazard issues in less in 2 months!! I think it is a huge safety hazard. Now, I am questioning about the safety of my home because of the Samsung cheaply constructed range oven.

Like many dissatisfied and cheated people... My parents range top cracked with a loud noise last night (while everyone was in another room of the house) breaking the stove top, literally just a month after the one year warranty expired. This is ridiculous! That a company can get away with this! Hundreds of dollars down the drain and now they are forced to purchase a new one!? Or perhaps replace the specific part for two hundred dollars and just hope it doesnt just keep happening? Which clearly it will with all of the people having similar experiences. The previous oven they had lasted my parents 20 years! Whats worse is that they purchased a matching Samsung washer, dryer, and microwave. Who knows when those are gonna break or blow up? As of right now I plan to contact an attorney, this is happening to way too many people for Samsung to not do a better job of helping. Why are these appliances still being sold to people??? We bought ours at Best Buy who of course are more than happy to take their money for another oven. My parents are older and they arent gonna get online and research this stuff. So sad, that companies can take advantage of people like this. It has to stop! It broke my heart to see my dad trying to figure out what went wrong with this damn thing last night.

I have had the refrigerator 4 years and in this time frame I have replaced 2 icemakers and now the freezer has stopped working, I lost quite a bit of food due to this failure. I called Samsung was advised they could not help to call a repairman, I called repair company and they were very nice and advised me Samsung will repair the compressor I called Samsung and they advised they would not. The repairman called them and they agreed to fix it.They called on Monday and advised there would be a repairman on Wednesday of the week to repair it. On Tuesday Samsung called and advised they COULD NOT find anyone in my area to fix it, that I should find someone to repair it and they would reimburse me. (They cant find anyone but I can, Duh!) It seems I made a very bad decision when I made this purchase.

I have bought 3 major appliances from Samsung and I must say Im sorry I did so. My refrigerator had 3 problems the 1st year and 30 days after the fix, it died again only to hear Samsung say, Too bad, so sad. My washing machine just after warranty died. Too bad, so sad. And now my $2,000 60 Plasma after 2 years went bad. Too bad, so sad. I have literally wasted hours and hours on the phone with the support groups and the customer satisfaction groups. The best that they offered was a one-time visit for parts only by the tech to repair the problem. So, if I get a new tech or one that doesnt care and a 2nd visit is necessary, I pay for the labor and parts on the visit. Again, I pay labor and diagnosis the 1st visit they pay for parts, but when asked if the tech needs to come back, will they pay for parts? Their reply is, You can call us and we will see. Translation: Screw you. I have spent over $5,000 in the last 3 years with them and I wont ever buy another SAMSUNG PRODUCT again. EVER! General Motors did the same thing to me at 42K miles when the head gasket let loose and blew the motor on my car. I now own Toyotas & Hondas. Koreans build crap as do the Chinese. If you want quality, stick to Sony, Hitachi, or Toshiba. I am now on a campaign to spread the word about Samsungs quality issues. $5,000 gone for 3 products that were crap within the warranty period or just after. Beware America. Dont ever buy any Korean-made products at all. That includes Hyundai/Kia. This was a Samsung Plasma TV model # PN60E7000FFXZA.

Recently bought a home that had fairly new Samsung appliances. Not thrilled with brand to begin with. After experiencing several service calls, I will NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Fridge was leaking, tech came and cleaned lines. Thought it was resolved. Then we had problems with ice maker. Did some kind of service. Didnt resolve loud banging noise. (2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again. My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a clip. Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Way too many problems with these expensive and newer appliances! Do you know if there is a class action suit regarding these appliances, and if so... Im IN!

Purchased in 2009 from Lowes. Was instructed to call Samsung due to out of warranty status. Was informed by Samsung that my complaints were mine and it was not Samsungs issue but was cosmetic and I would have to take care of it myself. She stated that there had been no other complaints such as this and passed me on to Quality Control who also told me that there was nothing like this on any of their refrigerators. Today I spoke with the main office of Lowes and apparently there is nothing that can be done for this except to replace the doors and drawer or pull them off and have someone sand them down and repaint. My concern is this... WHY is there RUST under the white paint??? I do not have any leaks, I do not use any cleaners except for a damp cloth and there has been nothing hit any of the edges to create cracks. I started with one small area 3-4 weeks ago and now it is across the bottom of the left door, all the way across the top edge of the freezer drawer and one small area that has just popped up on the bottom of the drawer. This is only 6 years old!!!

Our Samsung refrigerator RFG298HDRS stopped dispensing water. At first I could remove the 4 month old filter and put it back in and the dispenser worked for 2 weeks. Every 2 weeks I would do this. Finally I replaced the filter and it would not give us any water at all. I was using Samsung filters Model DA29-00020B. Samsung tech the first time had me checking the 2 ice makers that would not work. They told me I had knock off filters from Amazon. Then I took the filter out and tried the water everything began to work. Ice makers ran and water dispensed. Called Tech support again. The guy told me that this was the first thing they should have had me try. Since that works its a bad filter. Well. I have now purchased 7 filters spent over $200 and still NOTHING works. I have noticed that Samsung has changed the filter a little too. Different label, Smaller center hole than the original for water to enter the filter however even the larger hole filters which I still had did not work.... Also the literature in the new filters boxes is not accurate. It states to put the replacement label date on the installed filter which there are NO longer any labels supplied and it also states to remove the BLUE cap... The cap is white. Even after buying the filters at Lowes they do not work. Samsung swears to me the fridge is ok since it works without the filter.... I have a tech coming out in 2 weeks the soonest they could arrive. But the techs tell me Samsung does not provide support for them in trouble shooting either. Samsung needs to change the way they do business! As much as they charge for these refrigerators, this is consumer robbery. My fridge is only 3 years old.

Refrigerator mod # RF28HMEDBBC/AA - From the first day of having ice, it took FOREVER to get a glass of ice out of it. I called customer service after 2 weeks of use and had them listen to the ice come out and how long it took and she said oh that is normal. The ice comes out in a half crushed half cubed form and I told her THAT is not normal. After trying to convince her that I was over 70 years old and have had ice maker the last 40 years and I know how they are supposed to work and this one sucks and I got extremely frustrated with her I hung up. 4 month later I called back in because the ice maker was freezing up on the inside and outside. They sent a repairman out that totally blew off the first appointment and the second appointment but showed up for the third one but didnt have the parts needed and had to order them. Showed up with those parts, replaced them. After a week it started freezing again. I called back in and they replaced the internals again and two weeks later it froze again and they replaced it again with an upgrade of gaskets on the ice maker along with the internals of the ice maker again. It took almost 36 hours to fill the ice maker and it still comes out half crushed and half cubed. Yikes. It has made a loud noise since we have had it and all of them say this is NORMAL!!! REALLY. The refrigerator part has worked great. The shelving totally sucks for placement of items. NOTHING fits anywhere. Would I buy another one? Not only no but hell no!!! Freezer part is great and no complaints with it. I certainly hope this helps anyone looking to purchase a Samsung French door refrigerator.

Samsung has been contacted, their response was its out of warranty. My response is a $1200 refrigerator should last longer than 4 years, if not then the construction of the product is defective. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

We purchased a stainless steel Samsung Refrigerator Model No. RF217** in December of 2010. Today was the fourth time weve had to have it repaired for the same problem: standing water in the produce drawers with water and ice below them. The repair in 2013 required replacing a part which took several days to come in and, including labor, cost us a couple of hundred dollars to have done. The other three repairs cost about $100 each. This was an expensive refrigerator and it just galls me that Samsung wont stand behind their product! The first failure happened exactly two days after the one-year warranty expired so Samsung would do nothing. We didnt buy an extended warranty because we generally dont believe in them - big mistake - with Samsung believe in them! Not only is this all very expensive, but having to completely empty the contents of the fridge and freezer 24 hours before the service call so it can defrost is a royal pain in the petoot! What does it take to get a class action suit against Samsung? We bought a Samsung stainless steel dishwasher the same day we bought the refrigerator. I dont like it either. It never completely dries the dishes. We will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!

A piece of the coating on my 8 month old gas stove broke off when lifting a grate. The grate did not even cover that section. The piece was over an inch wide and about 1/4 inch deep. Samsung refuses to replace the top section calling it cosmetic. I am appalled. I bought 4 Samsung appliances at the same time and have had to have 2 service calls on the dishwasher and it still doesnt clean the dishes. Now to have the stove top crack and not be repaired. I would never buy another Samsung piece of equipment.

Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. Samsung should just stick with cell phones and computers. Their refrigerators are not worth the money or bad reviews. Just stay away!

We registered a complaint regarding our fridge which we bought just about one and half years ago... The complaint was done on the 4th of June and this is the 8th of June today, and still the problem is not solved. Today we called the service center for four times. Every time we are told that your problem is on priority and will be solved soon... In the evening, a senior executive told us that it is 7 oclock and this time no one can come... and we are told to wait till the coming Monday that is the 10th of June... So we are so disappointed with their services and we found ourselves helpless in this condition. We think that we should not buy any more products from Samsung.

Bought Samsung refrigerator, RF18FENBSR in July 2017. Freezer door broke on one aside, called Samsung (warrantied till Aug 2017). They sent out Williston Repair Group rep who wanted to charge me $110.00. I declined, told him to leave. Called Samsung, they verified it was still covered and redid work order. After a few days, I called Williston back and was told they would not send anyone out because I had slammed door on their rep and was rude. Besides, door handles were exterior damage. Called Samsung back, was told that they would call them and straighten this out. They called me back and said that since the handle was EXTERIOR and subject to damage, it is not covered. If I could give them NO STARS, I would. Naturally, I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again, as I feel they cannot be trusted to stand behind their products. You have to be crazy to buy ANYTHING Samsung.

I bought a Samsung fridge, three times I have had Telefix technicians out to look at fridge as it on 3 times it has had water under the crisper. First time the back panel gets changed. Leaks again so 2nd time gets same procedure not to mention puts a slight crack on panel, leaks again. 3rd time technician? Blame the 2nd one for his workmanship. And reckons nothing wrong? Yet water? Told him not happy he puts in a report saying nothing wrong? Goes to apparently case manager Samsung. Telling me they cant do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? I don’t think so.And how many times do I have to them out because of their fault in appliance, which was also stated by the technician that the new model fridges has the exact problem as my fridge does... I have 20 year old LG fridge and never had one problem. If I wanted a fridge that leaks water I would buy one. So why are Samsung making fridges with the same problem and selling them? Rectify the problem. And you will have happy customers. Still want to know so what are they going to do about my fridge… Angry customer.

Bought a Samsung rs277 side by side from Lowes approx 5 years ago. Was a scratch and dent floor model at Lowes and was a very good discount. Ice maker problems started within first year. It makes ice but wont dump it into tray unless you press button on ice maker. So far havent had much luck finding out online what I can do to fix this. For awhile it would make ice then quit until you pushed button then would make ice again for a few days then have to press button again. After 4 years it now will only dump ice if you press button. At almost 5 yrs old fan inside fridge got loud. Found some info for different model Samsung online about this problem being from ice build up. Although the info I found online was for a similar type side by side Samsung my model rs277 did not come apart the same way. Keep in mind these are supposed to be frost free units. You need to take all the shelves and drawers out and loosen back panel.Used hair dryer to defrost a bunch of ice on cooling coil. The ice had built up to the point where it was interfering with fan and blocking drain hole. So besides the noise there was water occasionally leaking out the front. Defrosting took care of noise and water leak but it will be back since the thing should not have needed to be defrosted. There is some type of sensor that tells the brain when to defrost and a heating element to defrost. Not sure which is bad. If someone knows how to test the sensor or how to fix the ice maker so it will dump ice please email me at **.I had an Amana side by side for well over ten years. I ordered it without an ice maker so that never broke. Some of the plastic parts inside the fridge did not hold up so well and the door gaskets were coming apart but in over ten years I never had to tear it apart to fix something. Until I got the Samsung I was not so happy with the Amana because of the cheesy plastic parts. The Samsung has made me wish I had the Amana back. It was still working when I got rid of it and was over 10. Not happy with samsung.

I need a freezer department handles for RF263AFRS Fridge manufactured NOV 2010, handles have grey plastic parts that go inside the fridge and hold handle by screws. Handle is not broken, it just cannot hold to the fridge anymore because of the broken parts on both ends. I spent 3 months looking for these parts. Called Samsung and the phone #s given by them, no one has these grey plastic parts. Wrote Samsung customer care email asking for help. They got back to me with template saying I should call their customer service (I know the phone # by heart already!). Its been a few months now the fridge is broken. I have difficulty accessing the freezer because of it. The part I am looking for the freezer handle is actually a part of the whole freezer door and to make things a little worse, that freezer door is no longer available. Same fridge broke on month 13th, after 12 month warranty. It was making ice on the back of the fridge. Part was $170 and $150 was the labor. I am very dissatisfied with the product. It was expensive fridge and I was hoping to be able to use it for a while. Now, people from Samsung, how to find these broken parts. Please help!

DW80F600UTS/AA - We have owned this dishwasher for 18 months. We purchased a new home, and the dishwasher was brand new. After six months the delicate light came on. We did our research and called Samsung. They recommended checking the drain hose and house drain as the error is a drain error. There was no issue, so we disassembled the sump where the screen was to inspect. There was very little amount of debris in the sump. We reassembled and the problem went away. Three months later the same problem occurred, and we went through the same scenario. I finally had enough after the fourth time assembling and disassembling the dishwasher and contacted Samsung. All they would offer was to set up a service ticket now and that it was out of warranty. This issue should not be occurring with a dishwasher that is 18 months old. Stay away from Samsung Dishwashers. They are nothing but a headache.

My dishwasher would not use the dishwasher packets I was using to wash the dishes. The soap dish flap would open, but the packet would not be used. I call Samsung and their support is the WORST! I got a guy that spoke poor English and probably never saw a dishwasher before. I told him the problem and he told me to clean the dispenser and turn off the circuit breaker. It was a TOTAL waste of time. He asked for the serial number and I gave it to him 3, (YES THREE TIMES), then he told me he was not paying attention when I gave him the number. Then he wanted to know the service provider of my cell phone. What has that got to do with the dishwasher, but he said he needed it. At that point, I knew that Samsung support people were brain dead and I just hung up. I already spend too MUCH time trying to explain the problem and another 4 hours with their support would not have made a difference. I do plan to get rid of my Samsung dishwasher and go back to my Whirlpool. I had a Whirlpool for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem with it. I replaced it because we decided to redo our Kitchen with Stainless appliances and we went with a few Samsung appliances. Now I will never buy Samsung appliances again. My recommendation is if you buy Samsung and need any support you are hosed! You will spend a lot of time on the phone with a moron that does not even know his products and wont know nor care what your problem is. He will read from a list of trouble shooting guides, which may be totally irrelevant to your specific problem. (i.e. your car wont start and the guy tells you to change the tire). One more thing, I asked the support guy for an order number and he told me he got an error code on his computer and could not give it to me. STAY, make that RUN, AWAY from this company!

19 days without a fridge is not acceptable. Over 13 phone calls to Samsung and being hung up on 4 different times only to have to call back to get resolution, that I have not gotten. I am now told it will be another 3-5 business days before I will be contacted to receive a replacement fridge. 24-29 days and no fridge is completely unacceptable. Someone has dropped the ball and no one wants to take ownership. They only want to say they are sorry. I asked if their CEOs fridge went out if he would have waited this long to have his/her fridge replaced. I bet the answer to this is absolutely not. They probably would have had it replaced within the week.I now am resorted to living out of a cooler with ice so my kids can have milk and cheese, and eating out because it is so wasteful to buy a meal to prep only to have the items spoil because there is no freezer to put my stuff in or a large fridge to put these daily staples in. Who wants to pay for my spoiled food? Not Samsung. Who wants to reimburse me for the need to eat out? Not Samsung. Who wants to replace my fridge in a timely manner? Not Samsung. Who wants to pay for my gas to have drive into town daily to get food? Not Samsung. Who is going to pay for all my wasted hours spent dealing with this debacle? Not Samsung! What recourse of action do I have aside of contacting BBB and filing a complaint? Help!

I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator - Model # RF263BEAESR/AA - BEWARE ----> BAD PRODUCT & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ----> SAMSUNG. $2,000 refrigerator with ice maker that has not worked properly since day one. After several frustrating calls to Samsungs resolution department I received another service call outside of warranty (1 year) to replace several parts and defrost element. This did not fix the problem and ice maker frosted up a couple weeks later. Requested service AGAIN and waited 1 month without a response. Finally was told Samsung would not repair or service further and I should contact a service center to pay for another repair. Note: Service techs both told me the icemakers are a HUGE PROBLEM for Samsung. What a freaking joke! Samsung is making a piece of crap and is failing to support and/or correct this. My dad, my brother, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law told me not to go with Samsung, but I didnt listen. Now, Im paying the price. In less than 8mo Ive had 5 technician visits to attempt to fix my dishwasher. After 5 visits I finally got frustrated, and decided to call samsung to see if they would replace my dishwasher since its obviously defective. In short, their answer was no! First time the dishwasher broke was about 4mo after I purchased it. It would stop mid cycle with an error code which meant that it got too hot. That took 2 visits and as many weeks to repair. At the 7mo mark (July 1st), it stopped washing the dishes in the bottom rack properly. I contacted Samsung July 3rd. It’s July 24th and the dishwasher is still not repaired. Technician came out and said that he had to replace two parts, the bottom spray rail and the control panel. He had to order them. That was visit #3. Visit #4 was when he came to replace the parts. After a couple of hours of work the dishwasher was still not repaired. He said that there was another part broken, the motor that moves the rail. He’s suppose to come back Wednesday, July 29th. In the past 8mo, according to my count, 4 different parts have broken on Samsung’s “top of the line” dishwasher. I hope my review keeps someone from making the same mistake I made. moral of the story: listen to advice...do not buy samsung appliances. Theyre inferior quality. As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowes. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Then the ice maker started acting up and I had to have it repaired about every 3 months until they deemed the unit defective but the repairman had told me several occasions that he come that he had prepared multitude of the exact same problem the ice maker in that exact same unit. So I tell Samsung that I really dont want to get the same unit and they you know I had been originally told that repair place it was something better. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. Now Im being told that I have to take the $1,800 that I paid for it which I cant replace it for because its not on sale right now and pretty much eat it even though I just bought two other matching Samsung appliances. I am pretty furious and I hope that this gets resolved.

Ive come from a string of GE refrigerators that always seemed to disappoint me in one way or another. Most of the problems were related to not holding the desired temperature in both refrigerator and freezer compartments. I also experienced problems with excess moisture in the freezer compartment and ice makers/ice water dispensers that never worked properly. The water dispenser always froze up unless I raised the temperature to an unsafe level. Very poor design. The Samsung French door unit has worked perfectly for about 1 1/2 years, but it does make a lot of strange noises. So far this appears to be a quality unit that works as expected.

After cleaning the stove, a streak appeared which was not reachable from the inside or outside. Samsung customer service claims that the damage is cosmetic therefore I should pay for the repair. I spoke to the folks at Home Depot, he told me that this a defect of the product since the seal was broken. Amanda at Samsung is rude and not at all accommodating.

Never buy a Samsung fridge. They are awful. I have had nothing but issues with mine. $2,500 for a refrigerator that is constantly breaking, plus the cost of buying the extended warranties every year. The 25 year old fridge I have in my garage works better than my brand new one. I will never recommend to anyone to buy this brand of appliance. Wish I never had bought mine!

We purchased this unit from Lowes and were not happy with the way it cleaned right off the bat. There were water spots on the glasses, food still on the plates. After 6 months of use, the top basket rack adjuster broke. They did send us new ones which lasted another 6 months. We asked for another set and they said it was just out of warranty but they would send them out once more at no charge. Six months later, they broke again! Now, I was getting angry and they say it was a design flaw and we can send you out another set. Six months later they started breaking again! This is an awful product. This past Christmas, an error code came up for leak detected. It ended up being the drain hoses cracking and leaking. Now, my basement floor is destroyed from a 2-year-old dishwasher! After we fixed the drain hoses which was 2 months ago, we have a new code 9E - low water flow. This is caused by the basket adjuster pieces that were broken off and stuck in the hoses. I feel that I should be refunded or receive a new dishwasher. This should have been recalled by now. Im not a happy Samsung customer!
