We purchased this product on July 27 2017. Months after we purchased it the ice maker started icing up and water started dripping inside the fridge. When you would hit the ice button you would first get water then ice would drop. The ice would not be totally frozen. Then water would drip out after you were finished. Three different times they have replaced the whole ice maker. On Nov 8 2018 they told our repair man they were going to do an exchange. Then on Nov 29 they had another company come in and fix it (3 time). On Jan 24 it started doing the same thing. When we contacted Samsung they told us it is now our problem. They are not going to fix it again. They totally lied to us about exchanging it. This fridge is nothing but junk and headaches. We ended up going to Sams Club and purchased an ice maker. You spend nearly $3000.00 for a refrigerator and you cant even have it make ice. Buy from a different company. They know they have problems with this refrigerator and they wont stand behind them. We will never have another Samsung in our house. Read other reviews on this. I know others have the same issue. We read them but we thought they had the issues resolved. Boy did we find out the hard way.

Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working
Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working properly for several months. After researching this problem, I find it is very common. It has been reported that there was a design change made to the current model to address this. Spoke to a Samsung customer support person as well as a manager. They will not assist with the cost of the service call in any way. I received estimates of $400-$500 dollars. The refrigerator cost $2000. So in three years I am incurring a repair cost equal to 1/4 the price of the refrigerator. We are remodeling our kitchen in several month. It looks like it will be LG for us in the future.

Samsung RF262AEWP/XAA Freezer side rails failed TWICE. Within the first year, the freezer side rails failed. The ball bearings all came out. And the rails had to be replaced. That was two years ago. Now, it just happened again. Unfortunately, the fridge is no longer under warranty. I now have to call for a repair and the rails alone will be upwards of $75 each. It is recommended that both rails are replaced at the same time, and the authorized Samsung repair center refused to tell me if I would be charged the Samsung list price of $75 for each rail, or if they had a higher price.

Just bought refrigerator from Home Depot and had tech. come out three time to fix and still not working at all. They refuse to replace and would like to come out again to try and fix. I told them at Samsung that the tech. replaced every part to the freezer door including new draw rollers, gasket twice and then finally the last time a completely new draw and assembly and it is still broken. They insist they can still fix even though there are no parts left. I lost my mind talking to the idiots on the phone and I feel my only option left is to get an attorney involved. Also had repair 5 times on my Samsung micro. Stay away!!! I had a hard time giving 1 star, it would be more like -5.

Bought a Samsung refrigerator and within 2 years the ice maker quit making ice. Called Samsung and said warranty was no longer valid on the ice maker. I called them back and argued about their ice makers not being very good and that there was a lot of problems with them. They said they would make an exception to fix it this time. Got it fixed and 4 months later it went out again and stopped making ice. They said they would no longer service, even knowing that they have had lots of trouble with their ice makers. I definitely wont buy another Samsung. I wouldnt have even given them 1 star.

I bought this model a year ago in June 2016. We had one visit from tech so far when refrigerator refused to turn on and cool. Tech came and fixed issue with electronic board. Now just over a year later I am having same problem as previous writer. The refrigerator is not cooling yet freezer is. Am attempting to contact service, but meanwhile all food is spoiling. Our last refrigerator - simple model different brand with no bells whistles lasted ten years without an issue. Would not recommend this model due to issues after only one year plus. Obviously this is occurring after the warranty has expired so it will cost money to repair.

After all the repairs and fixes Samsung suggested including a new icemaker, icemaker tray, and the suggested special silicone repair around the inside of the icemaker compartment, this week my icemaker quit working all together! I will never trust Samsung again! We have fought this issue ever since we purchased this top-of-the-line French Door Refrigerator-Freezer. What a waste of almost $2000! We started having problems within a year of our purchase. Our date of purchase is June 2, 2017. Stay away from this manufacturers French Door Refrigerator Freezer!

Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. Samsung should just stick with cell phones and computers. Their refrigerators are not worth the money or bad reviews. Just stay away!

Refrigerator was leaking sheets of ice under freezer for months. Samsung kept having us try different things to resolve the problem. I was trying to cooperate but Samsung should have replaced the refrigerator. I was repeatedly pulling out sheets of ice. 2 months after the one-yr warranty expired, we woke up to a flood thru our kitchen wall behind the refrigerator to our dining room. $1200.00 in damages we had to pay. Samsung promised they would honor the warranty because it was a continuing problem. After poor customer service, disorganization, and six months of grief, they then said no they would not even cover $400.00 of the damage. We will never buy another Samsung appliance. Very sad. The refrigerators are faulty and too risky to have in the home.

Today Im looking for a new fridge and hoping they will take this p. o. s. in on trade because I know I wont get close to the price I paid if I sell it outright. It is not worth the stress to hang onto it. Never been so disappointed with a fridge. I cannot clean the outside water stains. The repairman said theres a product that will work but didnt know the name of it. The door seal is so thin that it had a worn spot. He didnt recommend replacing that. Its only 3 years old. I purchased The Stainless Samsung French Door with 2 drawers - Bottom Drawer Freezer - (Model #RF24FSEDBSR/AA) March 2016. I had issues from the first day. Ice maker was putting out approx 10 cubes per day. The cubes looked frostbitten. Water leaking from ice maker down the front of the refrigerator. Ice maker wasnt sealed properly causing moisture inside fridge. I have had many issues with the ice maker and it was replaced three times. I had another issue where my freezer stopped freezing and I lost the entire contents. Tech told me to turn it into my insurance, which I didnt. All within the first year. Since I was having so many issues Samsung gave me a free ONE TIME service call to replace another ice maker. I continued to have issues with the ice maker and it finally stopped working altogether. I thought mine was the only one. Come to find out there are so many others with the same issues. I contacted Samsung again once I knew there were ongoing issues and mine was not the only one. I explained that I had a failed back surgery with restrictions on lifting and these 20 lb bags of ice are not easily handled. I told them that I wanted what I paid for - A working fridge, freezer and ice maker. They ignored my request. This fridge was over $3000. SO FAR they have completely ignored me.

I called Lowes for service and they arrived three days later. The freezer quit cooling and also the refrigerators 4 compartment unit. They said it was low on freon, but problem is it takes 4 to 8 hours to cool and freeze. 12 hours after done it finally got to proper temps (-2 and 38). 6 hours later I unplugged it to move back where it was and when I plugged back in, the temp on the freezer went to 52 degrees and refrigerator to 52 degrees. After two hours the refrigerator is back to 38 degrees. Freezer is still 52 degrees. This doesnt sound like a good scenario because if the power goes off, it will do it again which everything in the freezer will thaw.

Our Side-by-Side fridge stopped working about a month ago. I called Samsung and they offered me a 1 year warranty (which I thought was odd since the fridge was 4 years old). So I accepted, and they referred me to a local repair shop, A&E Factory Service in San Antonio, TX, which by the way is no good as well! The technician came out and said 4 parts needed to be ordered. Only 2 parts came in. Tech ordered other 2 parts. Only one part came in. I HAD to follow up with the Tech, with his company and with Samsung to get that 4th part ordered! Parts finally came in, and the fridge was repaired. Following week, fridge is not working again. A&E sends a Sears tech and says compressor is out of refrigerant (possible leak). He fills refrigerant and leaves before the fridge even shows that it is cooling. Fortunately it did. 2 weeks later (which is today 11/13/13), the fridge is not working again. I call Samsung and get transferred 5 different times because they cant give me a correct department to speak with. In the end, hopefully my fridge gets fixed. I decided to buy a backup the 2nd time around in case this would happen again (which today is the 3rd time). Im pretty sure they are just going to send another tech who seems like they do not know what they are doing and dont make the effort to ensure the fridge gets fixed for good. SO dont buy a fridge from a company who makes TVs and phones, lets put it that way. The model number of my fridge is #RS277ACBP/XAA. That was $1500 down the drain. Dont let the LED lights fool you in front of the fridge and drag you in because you think it looks fancy. Samsungs warranty is no good, their customer service is no good, and the contractors they send to come repair your fridge is no good.

For years, Ive been influenced by my Korean friends on Korean brands. In Dec. 2013, my husband and I decided to invest in home appliances. We visited a local dealer and looked at our options. Without hesitation, we looked at different Samsung fridge models, and after deciding on what will fit in our kitchen space and what will be best for a starting family like us, we bought a Samsung Frost Free - Inverter Type fridge (model: RT20FARVDSA/TC). The sales associate at the local store helped us with our decision. He discussed the differences between the different models and benefits of each as well. He wasnt pushy and he politely asked what we wanted and what we needed. He also discussed the daily operating cost of this particular Samsung model (Ive always heard how energy efficient and environment-friendly these Korean brands are).In fact, this fridge is really cost effective - when I calculated our monthly usage and stuff, it appears that this fridge only costs us around 200 PHP a month. Our other fridge cost us around 400 PHP a month. I like this fridge better than the other one we had, which was a White Westinghouse fridge. I like the silvery touch of our Samsung. To me, it looks elegant... It does have ample compartments for our needs and I like that the inside shelves are made of glass (I like things made of glass). I guess the price of the fridge was just right.I like almost everything about it except for one thing - I was cleaning the fridge two months after we bought it and at the bottom part where the perishables are situated, I found a crack (see attached pictures). I am not sure what caused the damage and I was not able to see that right after we purchased it, so I guess I dont have any right to fret... :-) Anyhow, the fridges motor has a lifetime warranty which to me is good enough. The fridge is only about 3 years old, no problems whatsoever other than the cracking, and were satisfied so far. We will consider another Samsung in the future.

Ok, this is a very honest review of an expensive Samsung Refrigerator, the purpose of this review is to ensure that people do not face the same harassment and cheat at the hands of Samsung and fault prodicts that we did. If you dont want to read the review, just know that never buy Samsung Refrigerators which are high end Models as they dont have the support team or the resources to sort out any problem, remember its more a warning to the discerning buyers rather than a review. So to cut the story short, we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with Ice Maker in September 2017. Towards the end of 2018 the Ice maker stopped working and sadly after 7 complaints and paying almost close to INR 12000.00, we are still sitting with the same problem and no one now responds as they dont know what is the problem. We have knocked on all doors but to no avail and still no one bothers to understand the problem. Sir, we have escalated the problem to the highest level, is the standard response is basically inaction post that.Guys, the quality for a high end refrigerator is really bad, there are a number of recurring problems which are magnified by the fact Samsung has no support or product training for its field service personnel for high end models so please refrain. Hope this saves people from the agony we are facing after spending a fortune on a refrigerator!

I called twice in 6 months on the same problem. The first time was in addition to setting up a contact for an authorized repair person to come out. I was told that the problem was that the drain line was frozen and they suggested that I let the refrigerator and freezer completely thaw and this should take care of the problem. I did this for 4 hours with both doors open. I may have solved the issue for 4-5 days, but it returned. On my second call, I went through the same information again. This time I went through with having the authorized repair person. I took the day off to accommodate their window of availability. When the repair person arrived, he already knew what the issue was. He did remove one crisper tray and acknowledged that he could see where the water was coming from. He then told me that there is an upgrade that is out that will fix the problem. When asked, he told me that it would not be covered by warranty because it was an upgrade and not a fix. He was here for 10 minutes, which included his paperwork being done. They charged me $76.00 and then proceeded to tell me that the parts and labor would be $116.00; however, the parts are on back-order and so the repairs would not be done until October and this is September 11th. This, coupled with the thawing suggestion, tells me that is not a small issue. So I called Samsung and after 10 minutes on hold as the problem was being reviewed, I was transferred to the executive customer relations department only to be told that my refrigerator was past its one-year warranty and there was nothing they would do to satisfy my issue. Is it unreasonable for a product that costs $1300.00 to last longer than 3 years? So much for executive customer service”! They have my money and they didnt seem to think that they need anything else from me. What they fail to remember or maybe care about is that I (a consumer) will want to buy an appliance again and I have friends that will need to do the same!

I have had my Samsung refrigerator for about six months. I awoke on Christmas morning (I have the entire family over for Christmas lunch and dinner) to find my refrigerator was dead. The entire contents were warm to the touch, so it must have been off for some time before I noticed it. I was forced to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food. No one is open on Christmas. I had a house filled with hungry people and a refrigerator filled with rotten seafood. The only place we could find to eat was a Chinese restaurant (it was like a bad rerun of the movie a “Christmas Story”) till it was all said and done I ended up paying almost $400 at the restaurant. I called Samsung and they said they would send a repairman over but not for two weeks. I take off work the day of the appointment (I work second shift and the repair shop would only give me an 8-5 window); the guy never shows. When I contact the repair shop they apologize and then tell me he wasnt coming to fix it, he was only going to look at it and that he would have to order parts. Once the parts came I would have to schedule another appointment to have it fixed. I explain I can’t keep taking off work and the woman on the phone assures me that she can get a repairman to make me his first stop of the day. On the day of the appointment I waited all morning and finally had to leave for work just before 2:00. The repairman calls me at 2:30 and gives me an attitude for not being there. At this point I call Samsung again asking for another repair company. I am informed this company is the least busy and if I get another company it will take even longer. I made another appointment and wait all morning and you guessed it, the repairman shows up again after I have already left. At this point I am furious. I call Sears, the place where I purchased it, and they send a guy out that same week. It ends up being an entire board that is dead (part # da41-00404e). The repairman tells me it would take him 5 minutes to fix it but Samsung does not let them keep parts on hand, they have to be ordered. More waiting. I had an appointment today and the repairman replaced the board and also found a fan that was bad (couldnt tell it was bad until the board was replaced). To add injury to insult the fan also had to be ordered but it was back-ordered. That coupled with having to make another appointment once the part gets here means I won’t have a fridge until the middle to end of next month! I have a child that lives here part-time who has special needs. I have medicines that need to be refrigerated as well as very expensive formulas. I have been keeping them at the neighbor down the street house but this is very difficult to say the least especially when it comes to feedings in the middle of the night.

I liked the looks and of course price. But I found it very hard to clean. Shelves didn’t come out easily. It had a leak, never could figure out where. But it would run under pans. Then freeze. It had to be defrosted twice a week. When there was a power surge, or outage. The refrigerator would turn off. It had to be pulled out from wall. Unplugged for a couple minutes then reset. I never knew when it would shut off.

I bought the Samsung refrigerator model RB195ACPN in August of 2012. I noticed water in the right vegetable crisper around February of 2014, less than 2 years old. I wiped it out and thought it was the humidity level. Well 5 months later it was still happening and ruining my food in the crisper. Had to have a service guy come out and it was the drain clip. He said that they freeze because the original design isnt long enough. Had to have it upgraded so it doesnt happen again. Im very unhappy that the design is bad and there wasnt a recall for this.

Ice maker stopped working within 24 months of purchase. To begin with, the unit was always too loud while making ice, no it just does not make ice. Instead it makes a loud sound in the middle of the night. I called to the Samsung reps, who were very polite about the issue. They refused to have a complimentary diagnosis technician come to my place. I dont think I want to spend any money on a unit that was not top quality in the first place. Buyers be aware. (Our old refrigerator was replaced after 14 years and made ice everyday during that time. Not Samsung.)

We bought a Samsung side by side 25.6 CU FT refrigerator on 5-6-10 (serial # JJ5Z4GBZ400545J; model # RS261MDBP). We didnt have it a full year when he had to call for a repair service man to come out because the unit wasnt cooling and all the lights on the panel were all lit up. Something in the panel went out and had to be ordered. Then the last week in December we were having a birthday party and we had a house full of guests and had to buy 6 coolers for the party food as well as all the food we already had and I was never so embarrassed in my life as all my guest had to keep going out in the cold to the coolers for their drinks because the unit wasnt cooling and the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called service department again on January 3rd. After two service appointments, it was determined the mother board had to be replaced. So on 1-17-12 it was replaced and as of 1-21-12 the unit is still not working. I have another service appointment for 1-23-12. I have lost $300.00 in groceries because of this and have to buy ice and use a cooler in January in the winter no less and I have to go to the store daily to buy dinner, which is very costly not to mention very time consuming. I have two elderly and 5 babies under the age of 5 and that is so inconveniencing them as well as the rest of the family members and very costly. This is the absolute worse experience we have ever had. I will never again purchase any Samsung products and will tell everyone about this horrible, embarrassing, very costly experience.

6 months ago, we started having problems with the freezer side freezing up and then the fan was hitting the ice and making loud noises. We turned down the freezer control, which helped for a while. We have had this refrigerator for 22 months and yesterday it quit working. We called a repair person and he said that the motherboard and the fan were burned up. He called to get prices on the new parts and said it would cost around $300.00 to fix and replace parts. However, he told us that the motherboard was DISCONTINUED and that the replacement motherboard might not fix the problem with it icing up. We paid $1000.00 for this refrigerator and it was a lemon. Will never buy one from them again. Also, Sears is where we bought this refrigerator and we will never buy one there again for selling us a piece of junk. It started having problems right after the 1 year warranty expired!. $1000.00 refrigerators should last more than 22 months! Also, when we called the first repair company, they said they do not work on Samsung refrigerators. Seems to me they knew about the problems from me and other customers.

2500.00 wasted. Samsung would not repair/replace our 3 year old refrigerator that had compressor failure due to what they call physical damage. Micro holes in the copper lines to the compressor caused the compressor to fail. Samsung claims the sulfur in the air of our house caused the failure. The warranty is 5 years parts and labor, 10 years parts. They charged us 100.00 to diagnose the problem. We talked them down from 200.00 because we already had a repair man confirm the compressor failed. He stated that the copper lines are really thin and cheap. Samsung had to have their own people check it. We do have well water but it is treated and we never hooked up the water to the refrigerator. Samsungs recommendation to us was to coat the lines with a good paint to protect them. We did not have any issues with the Whirlpool refrigerator we had prior to this Samsung. Has anyone else had a similar problem? We think the warranty should have mentioned an exclusion for sulfur in the air and we think they should honor the warranty. We will not purchase Samsung products ever again, poor customer service.

Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufact
Consumers need to know that Samsung refrigerators have an inherent manufacturing design defect concerning the defrost cycle in the freezer section. If any number of components are non-functional, a sheet of ice builds up behind the freezer panel and the fan is unable to spin even if it receives a signal from the PCB (computer board). This horrible sound described by many customers is the fan grinding against the ice as it is trying to spin. There is a defrost temperature sensor that is read by the main computer board. When the temperature in the freezer falls below 18-22 degrees, the PCB picks up the decrease in temperature from the defrost sensor and sends a voltage signal to the bi-metal thermostat, which closes a circuit inside the thermostat (two metal strips) and sends voltage to the heater. The heaters job is to keep the evaporator coils from developing frost and ice buildup. The same thing can happen in the refrigerator section since Samsung designed a twin evaporator system for its refrigerators, one for the freezer section and one for the refrigerator section. Also, there is a timer which is integrated into the PCB that is supposed to keep the thermostat closed for a specified period of time in order for the heater to do its job. Sometimes, the timer on the PCB is faulty and it doesnt maintain the voltage long enough to keep the thermostat in the closed position in order for the heater to defrost the evaporator coils. Unfortunately, the failure of any one of these components can cause a problem resulting in ice build-up and the freezer not working. Samsung has re-engineered or modified its heater and evaporator systems in its refrigerator models several times over. Also, there are complicated voltage readings that should be read from the PCB, and very few, if any, technicians know how to read the PCB or take the time to perform a full diagnostics test. In order to perform a full diagnostics check, the technician has to put the refrigerator in a forced defrost mode which includes both compartments (fridge & freezer). Most technicians do not like to perform this test because it takes time and time is money to an appliance repair business. If you decide to hire a technician, make sure he performs a forced defrost mode test and reads the voltages at the PCB. In order for the tech to read the voltages, he/she has to remove a panel in the back of the refrigerator to access the PCB with his multimeter. Also, the tech should perform a continuity test on the thermal fuse, heater, thermostat, and defrost temp and humidity sensors. If you want to have a better understanding of your Samsung refrigerator, type in Samsung fast track troubleshooting on Google search.Good luck and make sure your technician performs all of the above-mentioned tests. If he refuses, ask him to leave. I know from my own experience, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. Also, a class-action lawsuit has been brought in a few states by several law firms that combined their forces against Samsung. You can Google Samsung refrigerator class-action lawsuit. The complaint should be there on one of the pages.

We have a Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured
We have a Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured in RF263TEAESR. It looks great, nice features, problem is, it was designed without a refrigerant valve to shift cooling between chilled regions, which would allow one side to defrost while the other cools. The lines become blocked with ice, the cooling coils freeze over, cooling becomes more difficult, and the ice builds up to the point where the circulation fan bangs the ice, making a serious noise. We have had the kit put on which is the fix from Samsung. It is designed to shut you up for a couple months and pick up a nice check for their factory authorized dealers. The kit does nothing. The second repair tech came and, for two hours and another $100, tore out the interior back wall, thawed out the lines with hot water, the coils with a heat gun and the vents on the back wall with warm water. He told me it would last no more than a couple months as the insulation gets saturated with water and, rather quickly, everything will refreeze. He was optimistic. Within two weeks it has once again frozen. The fan noise is beginning again and, because Samsung refuses to stand behind their products, this piece of garbage may shortly become the worlds largest paperweight. My advice, STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG products. They have made it obvious standing behind their products is not a priority.

I have them coming out to fix this and it is 2 years old so it is out of warranty. I have seen that it may cost up to $600.00 to repair this, well we paid over $2,000 for this fridge and if it costs me that much I will dump it and buy a new one but never again a Samsung! I cant describe how horrible experience I have with Samsung product, lets begin, in 2013 I bought Samsung French door refrigerator ( RFG297HDRS/XAA) from Best Buy and I paid extra for extended warranty (which I found out it is not extended warranty. It is duplicated warranty). Now in 2016 it is broke down. I talked to Samsung few times. There is no authorized repair center close by and they had to talk to Sears Service but make long story short the estimate of repair is around $600 maybe even more for replacing control board. I recommend to stay with common brand like Whirlpool or Kenmore, Amman instead of paying more for some foreign brand which it cost a lot to repair plus they have very short life.

We purchased a refrigerator on July 29 2017 MODEL RF26HFENDSR/AA and started having noise problems shortly thereafter. This purchase was for a property we were retiring to and we were not there all the time for the first 7 months. Once we moved in there we noticed loud banging noises coming from the fridge at random times. These noises were so loud they woke us in the night.I initially called Samsung about this in early June of 2018. They sent a technician out but the sound did not happen while he was here. As we were in a remote area it took over 4 weeks to get him to come out. After this I was constantly on the phone trying to find out what they would do next and they finally asked me to send them an audio file of the sound. Which I did. They in turn sent it to Samsung and Samsung tells me this was normal. I called them several times after that and then in Oct they refused to even talk to me as they said it was now not in warranty. At that time I pointed out that the problem was there before the warranty was out and they said it didnt matter it was not their problem now. At that point I called Lowes where I purchased the fridge as I had a 4 year extended warranty with them. They sent the same company out again and the Technician was here all of 10 minutes, changed a setting on the fridge and left. This did not solve the problem. After numerous calls to both Lowes and the repair company of Lake City furnishings in Williams lake they finally came back with an email from Samsung saying that the noise was something that happens to only a few fridges and will disappear after 1 or possibly more than 2 years. This is not an acceptable resolution to me and I feel I have wasted countless hours on the phone with Samsung, Lake City and Lowes to no proper resolution.

I wrote a review earlier this month and I had my 1 ½ yr old Samsung RF217 French Door replaced with the SAME MODEL to give Samsung a chance to redeem themselves. I received the new fridge on September 12, 2013. The installation process was horrible and I will address that with the retail company in person. Anyhow, instead of the Fridge portion being too warm like the RF217 part 1, now RF217 part 2 is an overactive FREEZER. Please note I DO NOT use the ice maker, I have that feature turned off, But for some reason I have snow cones being made in my freezer and I cannot open the top drawer as it is FROZEN SHUT. The installers set it up per manufacturer direction temperatures -2 freezer and 38 for the Fridge. Consumer ignorance?? I think not. Samsung Corp. you make a horrific product and I will be pleading with the store that I bought it from to give me back my money in full so I can go back to my normal life. I cannot and will not eat out for another week, month or year because my $1500 refrigerator does not work properly. And just so we are clear, ALL THREE OF MY SAMSUNG Refrigerators were BRAND NEW. ALL THREE WERE FAULTY. I hope this is clear enough that three times is not a charm. In addition to the bad manufacturing, the delivery service managed to deliver a scratched left front French door, left all the packaging inside, dumped about a gallon of water onto my Laminate Floor which I had to personally dive to the ground with bathroom towels because the water would absolutely ruin the floor and they SCRATCHED the side and front of my BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE, and then denied the damage. I was literally standing right there during the entire install. Hello I was the one cleaning up the water so of course they scratched it. My towel sure didnt. Anyhow, bad product, bad service, and subpar customer service equals the end of customer loyalty to Samsung. Samsung get out of the appliance business.

In July 2013, we bought a Samsung 3 door refrigerator with drawer for about $2,000.00. There was a manufacturers defect in one of the electrical cords attached to the drawer, which was repaired here. In January 2013, the refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling and freezing, so we called HH Gregg and were automatically connected to Samsung. Samsung did not dispatch a repairman, but instead said someone would get back to us. We waited all day as our food began to spoil, and called HH Gregg local number and asked for a store manager. He told us he would send an email to HH Greggs corporate office, and they would replace the refrigerator, which might take a week, and that another store employee, Beth, would call us back and set us up with a loaner refrigerator. When Beth did not call, we called her, and she said she had no such authority. I asked to speak to the manager again, and she connected me to Jeff, another person, who informed me that the store does not issue loaners and that there would not be a replacement refrigerator from HH Gregg. We called Samsung several times also, and they continued to say that someone would get back to us in 24 to 48 hours. At this point, we regret dealing with HH Gregg, and we regret buying a Samsung. I definitely do not recommend HH Gregg for any reason, and think people should avoid them entirely. As to Samsung, I am stuck with a lemon and will have to deal with their impossibly frustrating and slow customer service for the remainder of the time the refrigerator is under warranty. I have read several horror stories about Samsung, including 7 repairs in 4 years, at **. In summation, HH Gregg sells shoddy merchandise. No refrigerator should break twice in the first 7 months of ownership. Furthermore, HH Gregg does not stand behind its merchandise. It just turned 5 years and of course warranty expired. Just one month after the warranty expired the fridge part stopped working. Samsung RS265LABP - terrible, terrible experience. We had an extended warranty for up to 4 years. Called a few months before it ran out for frozen food in bottom drawers. Drawers were bulging outward because back of refrigerator was frozen and bulging. The outward thrust of the drawers kept the refrigerator door from closing and the food on top warmed up and was ruined. The celery, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. became frozen. Over the last 4 years we have had 3 different servicemen come for a total of 5-6 service calls which translates to no small expense as the warranty expired. Basically all that is accomplished is a defrosting. One repairman refused to come back; he said Samsung refrigerators had ruined his reputation. They then informed me that now I was out of warranty and they would only offer me 1800.00 and for me to remove my warranty sticker to send to them. They informed me that Best Buy would now not swap the unit out because I was a few months off warranty but I was under warranty when I called and it was first serviced with this issue. I then reached a gentleman at Samsung March 25th at 10:05 am, call was recorded, and I was told that they changed their minds and that they have these refrigerators on hand through Samsung despite Best Buy not being able to help me. I asked him if he was sure because the previous calls insisted on sending me money for a devalued amount at 1800.00. He assured me that the call was sincere. I then called back 3/29/2020 and of course was told that that deal didnt exist for me and again only to take the 1800.00 offer. Calling them is like calling another planet of incompetent employees who hardly speak English at all and have no clue whats really going on. It is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my life and my whole home is filled with Samsung appliances. Soon to be replaced with LGs when these stop working because Samsung has horrible customer service and treat their high paying clients like garbage.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The worst experience ever! Calling Samsung’s 800 number for warranty issues is like calling another planet of people so unqualified and unhelpful. I purchased a 2500 refrigerator 1/2020. Delivered by Best Buy in 2/12/2020 and the ice maker was making horrible sounds 9/2020, 10/2020, 11/2020. I called while it was under warranty and they promised I caught it in time. After they attempted to resolve the issue and couldn’t we entered into 2021 year and they changed their minds telling me they could no longer swap it out with Best Buy because it was out of the year 2020 timeframe. Despite telling me while I called in 2020 that I was protected as long as I presented the purchased receipts that I did! They are only offering me a low prorated amount of 1800 and to remove the warranty sticker. That’s just insane customer service when my whole home has Samsung products. I can’t even believe this company and I will never buy another Samsung again.

We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and are not happy with it. One day, when it was quite new the freezer just stopped working and everything defrosted. Then we had a problem where the water dispenser would not shut off and we had a flood until I could get to the water shut off valve. Now the problem is water dripping from the ice maker. I researched this problem and it is a known problem with Samsung French door refrigerators. Wish I had known before I bought it!!! Supposedly has to do with the auger case. Will never buy another Samsung product.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago at Lowes for $2000.00 and it was a french door fridge. It stopped getting cold so I got on Samsung website and found a repairman at The Appliance Doctor. They sent a man out and he looked at the fridge and said it is not worth fixing. It needs a computer and two other parts. He continued to say Samsung are junk and it will break again. I then called another well known appliance repair center and they also told me that they do not work on Samsung products. They stated they cant get parts for them. So then I contacted Samsung and that was like talking to my dog. Very unhelpful. I went out and replaced this a Whirlpool.

The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

Our model RF217ACBP refrigerator, purchased from Sears, has worked well except that it has developed a problem with water accumulating in the right crisper drawer. This is a french door model, with a bottom freezer compartment and dual evaporators. I suspect the problem is a plugged or frozen drain, but have not yet located the problem. Other than the fact that we cannot use one of the crisper, the refrigerator works well.

Since I bought this refrigerator the ice-maker jams and stop making ice. I have to manually pull the ice tray and wait for the ice to melt, put the ice tray back and hope that it will work. This happens every to 3 weeks. While it was under guarantee they will fix it. Currently I have no guarantee and it will be too expensive to have it repair by some else.

RFG 238 Samsung Refrigerator AARS 3 years old - The back panel froze causing refrigerator to no longer keep food cold... Called Samsung, of course the warranty just expired and they wanted me to buy a new one... I refused... They gave me a service order number and the phone number for the repair company servicing our location... He could not come out for 3 weeks just to check it and see what the problem was... When I told him I would find someone else, he sounded relieved... I did find another company to come out which took 2 trips because the back is so fragile you have to get all the ice melted before they can work on it... They replaced the evaporation fan motor... Now 2 months later the control panel is going to have to be replaced along with another new fan motor...

ICE MAKER compartment freezes up every 2-3 weeks. Must defrost and reset to get working again. This has been going on for last 2 years on a 5 year old fridge. Samsung COULD NOT CARE LESS. Out of warranty, out of warranty, out of warranty. Sorry for the inconvenience, here’s a phone number of a repairman. This design defect is widely publicized on social media. I asked Samsung if there is a cure for this I’d gladly fix it myself but they WILL NOT SHARE this information. I’m done with anything Samsung makes. Their service is a joke.

Four days ago, wife went for ice cream and all items in freezer were melted, ice cubes and all frozen items melted. There are only 2 adults in this house and we eat out all the time so this appliance is not abused, opened and closed 500 times a day by 5 kids. Wife calls Samsung and gets the run around from someone reading a card...do this, do that, and next day, thanks to the idiot, the temperature had gone up another 10 degrees. We called again and again, got another idiot reading off another card that could not give any usable information, and the best they could do is set us up with a generic all-brand appliance repair private contractor whom, after checking the c/os against him, sounded shady.I cancelled the call and took a bullet with Sears $275 plus tax $294 on top of the ton of money this hunk of Asian crap cost me (the contractor grade American fridge I got with the townhouse was working fine for 28 years until I unplugged it the day this crap came into my house). So much for Asian technology, and do not expect any red carpet treatment from Samsung CSRs!!!!! I am so sorry I bought this!!! And will never call Samsung again. As absurd as it may sound, a Honda service writer may have offered better information as what to do to check the appliance!

Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011.
Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

I have bought Samsung French door refrigerator RF260BEAEWW in 2013.. It came defective since the freezer compartment never started freezing. The store took it back and delivered a new one. I had purchased 5 years warranty on it. And guess what, it is 5 years and 7 months and it broke down. The freezer quit freezing and refrigerator compartment doesnt keep cool temperatures well either. It did work 5 years that they guaranteed, but I would expect this big and expensive items should work longer and not break down right after warranty was over. My older refrigerator is 15 y.o and working just fine without a blip.I called Samsung and created a repair case. I decided to endure the repair cost than to buy a new one. I was too optimistic. Three days later Samsung called back saying that they are closing my case because ‘they don’t have repair technicians’ in my area!!! Just like that.. ‘It’s out of warranty, it’s in the area we don’t serve – so we are closing the case’, and it’s your problem now. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator ever again.

Week later, replacement came and now door dont close properly. We purchased our Samsung refrigerator model # RFG297AAPN, the really large, 2 door bottom freezer. We had ice maker problems right away. The ice comes out and sprays as the shoot is very large and the ice seems to build up somewhere and when you ask for ice you get quite a bit of water. Samsung sent out a repair tech who replaced the ice maker. It still does the same thing. We have had water build up and freeze under the bins. We have a home warranty that covers the refrigerator but not the ice maker. They fixed the leak but the ice maker still gives water with ice. It is a large refrigerator which is great but customer service at Samsung is hard to deal with.

We have had our refrigerator for only a couple of years. First the ice maker broke. Then it started making this loud noise that would stop when we opened the door. We had a technician come out and fix these problems. This was only a few months ago. Recently, I had noticed our milk didnt seem that cold even though the temp read 38 degrees. The problem started getting worse so we reset the fridge by unplugging it. This made the temp gauge work again and the true temperature was 66 degrees! After having already spent over $300 to repair this new refrigerator, I am reluctant to spend more to get this new problem fixed, especially after reading these complaints.

They dont deserve a star at all. I purchased a Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator on 3/29/2010. The price was $1870 + $199.99 for their premium service plan by new and some other small fees. The grand total was $2,266.97. 18 months later, my refrigerator stopped working. I called the service plan center and they sent out a repair person from A&E. The service guy replaced the motherboard and told me that will fix my problems. A few days later, my ice maker was not working. I called the service center and they sent out the repairman from A&E. The repair guy ordered a new ice maker and told me this should fix my problem. Well, that didnt. The service center and I have been going through this cycle for over 3 months and my refrigerator is still broken. My contract states that after 3 calls for the same problem, they will consider it to be a lemon and replace it. I have yet to get my refrigerator fixed or replaced. Please help me stop this fraud from happening.

I purchased a real nice looking Samsung fridge on 4/4/14 to be exact and on 4/12/18 the compressor went out on the Fridge portion of the refrigerator. The freezer and ice maker are still working. The fridge is under warranty for 5 yrs. Samsung makes you deal with their claims dept for everything or you will void the warranty. I have called not kidding over 20 times and every time someone different and having to start all over again. Finally after a week and a half I get a Samsung repairman out that tells me the repair is too expensive and Samsung is gonna either replace my fridge or give me a refund.WELL after all the issues with dealing with them I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A SAMSUNG ANYTHING. Once I told them I wanted a refund, they have given me nothing but the run around. My refund is $3333.46. I been sent to their claims specialty dept. For nothing but lies!!! The fridge I bought has the front door electrical panel water dispenser. Its 4 doors, bottom half could be fridge space if you don’t need freezer. The freezer can convert to fridge. I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowes about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowes. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere. I have spent too many hours waiting for people to show and diagnose and on hold, making phone call and talking with managers.

Bought 2 of these Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerators for my sons. A few months later we realized they were both running practically all the time. On investigation we found that when the right door is closed last, it blows the left door open about 1/4 inch which exposes the interior of the refrigerator to outside air, rendering the insulation ineffective. However, its not enough to set off the door alarm so you wont know it. Samsungs warranty servicer for my area says its normal for this model and Samsung will not warranty this problem. I have owned my refrigerator for less than a month. When it was delivered I noticed a small dent in it which the store compensated me $70 for. A week or so later I saw a small chip on the same door. This is a black stainless steel refrigerator that retails for about $1800 (RF261BDAESG). I went to the store and they told me to contact Samsung. I spoke with Samsung and they said they would send a technician out and gave me the company name. I was contacted by that company and told that if they came out and decided it was physical damage I would have to pay for the service call, $200. Also said that if I wanted it fixed it would cost up to $400. I have no intention of paying for any repair for an appliance thats less than a month old.First whats physical damage? If they mean that it was done by me how can that be determined? Whos to say it wasnt caused at the same time as the dent was made? Why would they sell a product that can seemingly be damaged so easily? I spent about 30 minutes on the phone after speaking with their service center trying to resolve this, as long as I dont pay. Im pretty sure they would say its my fault just to save Samsung money. My main concern is the lack of customer service from Samsung because I bought an entire kitchen suite. I purchased Samsung because I had always heard positive things about them but I can guarantee that I will do my best to dissuade anyone from purchasing any Samsung product.
