My wife and I bought a Kenmore model number 106.51762510 COLDSPOT. We paid approx. $1000.00 for this model. Just before the 1 year warranty expired, one month to be exact. The refrigerator began freezing up and freezing everything in the crisper. Just a thick wall of ice. I got a service scheduled and a repair man accessed the problem and ordered over $1100.00 in parts. That was more than we paid for the unit. Well, parts began to arrive slowly over a weeks time and a different service man showed up to work on it. Well he fixed it, and it worked great for 1 year. Now it has the same problem. But before he left, he handed me a thermistor and said, "here you go" "if it ever happens again," "change this out," which was a nice gesture, but it made me wonder how much quality was in the parts he serviced.So here I set thawing out my unit to change this part (5-16-20). I hope it will fix it, because we've called every appliance dealers we knew of, and it would take over a week to get one in, and during this COVID-19 outbreak, they will just deliver to your door and will not being it into your house. So with a wife that's getting foot surgery this week, and a shoulder surgery in the near future, I'm screwed. I have no one to help. My mother and father bought a Kenmore chest freezer in 1964, and are still using it today. But as for me, no more Kenmore's and maybe no Whirlpool's either. Since it was made by them. All the parts that showed up said Whirlpool on the box. Enuff...

It's a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

Our Viking Refrigerator is crap. The drip pan was cracked and the door for top drawer shelf for dairy products keeps falling off. We're supposed to get a new one and that's been a month. I've had four service calls in trying to figure out what is going on with it. And so far, no one's been able to figure it out. Also, it’s loud and the fans make some noise. I've called to let Viking know several times but the only authorized repair dealer in our area is the one that broke the previous fridge. They're awful as well. We're still working with Viking. I spent 12,500 grand buying a new fridge. I'm not gonna throw it away and go find something else until they figure out what's going on with it.

It's a perfect size!! You can hide it if you want and it don't take a lot of space! It doesn't make a sound and I love the design. The colour is black. It make my kitchen the best. The performance is the best! IT never stop working and it is always cold. It doesn't drop any water. It's easy to clean. It's a lot of space so it can have much in it! The products appearance is great. It look great and it fits the kitchen. Never been more satisfy in my life. It makes my kitchen whole! I can recommend it to other people. It makes my day and I can't believe I didn't do this earlier. My kitchen had improved to the best since I bought it!

I have a Kenmore side by side that is 7 years old. One year ago the water line that services the drinking water developed a leak. The leak was not at a bend or pressure point. It just split on the side of the hose. I spliced the line the with some new line and 2 connector. Recently it started leaking again. The original hose is so brittle that if I were to push on a connector it will most likely break again. The hose runs into the back wall so it cannot be replaced without tearing off the entire back panel which I'm not sure is even possible. I feel that a water line should last close to as long as the rest of the unit. Especially if it is not replaceable. So thanks Kenmore for saving 10 cents and using cheap materials. I guess you think I should take my fridge to a landfill and buy a new one every 7 years.

We made the horrible mistake of buying all Kenmore Elite appliances at Sears in April of 2015. The nightmare started with the delivery of some of our appliances where we were literally stood up by the delivery service on 3 different occasions, no call, no show... My husband and I were both working freelance jobs at the time. If we don't work, we don't get paid, so you can imagine how frustrating it was when we had to repeatedly take time off for these clowns to grace us with their presence, only to have them not even have the courtesy to call and cancel. They have zero respect for their customers. We had issues with our washer machine a month after purchasing it and now our $2500 Kenmore Elite refrigerator has suddenly stopped working. To kick it up a notch, a technician was supposed to come today to "diagnose" the issue for $99, but surprise, no call, no show. He was supposed to arrive between 3pm-6pm, so I again took off of work and waited around all day. At one point I logged into my appointment page and saw they had pushed his arrival window to between 6:45pm and 8:45pm. Knowing them and their horrid track record, I even called to make sure he was still going to come today and explained how I had taken off of work and couldn't take another day off, etc. The woman on the phone supposedly put me on hold while she called my technician to confirm and then told me he was definitely still coming and would call me when he was on his way... He never called. Later on I checked my email and at 7pm they emailed me to say my appointment had now been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday. I called them right away to ream them out and the best they could do for my inconvenience was give me 20% off on whatever the cost of the service will be. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SEARS. I could write a novel on the hell they have put us through. They DO NOT CARE about their customers and their products are complete garbage. Even their own repairman, that fixed our washer machine, told me their products are cheaply made in Korea and to stay away from them and LG (which is who makes Kenmore appliances)! It's sad because they used to be a good, dependable company, but they are nothing but con artists now.

We owned a Viking in our previous home, and we are familiar with appliances, so we wanted to have a Viking suite in our new kitchen. We were the happiest with the double oven in our previous place. We had a different model, and the convection ovens were great. So that was our starting appliance, and then we just said that we’ll go with Viking. We thought about Sub-Zero and Wolf but we decided to go with Viking again. We like the size and the look of the refrigerator. In terms performance, everything is fine for now. I’m happy with the way it’s performing. I like the feature that you can control temperature in different compartments in the refrigerator, and there’s ample space in the freezer. The whole suite is the reason that we wanted to incorporate the refrigerator as well. But I would go with a different dealer next time.

You know something, for the most part... it works and we're happy with it. I moved in here with my girlfriend 8 years ago and she said she had it at least 5 years before that. So lol, its a 13 year old fridge on the bottom with a freezer on top and a built in ice maker. Now so long as momma is happy with it... I have no complaints.

Kenmore is a great product and their products last a long time without having to call and ask for repair services. They are always dependable, and I have owned many of them in the past. Most definitely they live up to my expectations and have for many years. My refrigerator has side by side doors, freezer on top, ice maker. I like the ice maker which produces crushed ice as well as the cubed. I like its color and dependability. The fridge does not thaw during times when the electric goes out. I never have to worry about spoilage with a Kenmore and the storage capacity is wonderful.

The refrigerator stopped cooling. I registered a complaint (ref no PTNA 2210110036, dated 8 Oct 2011). The delay in attending to the complaint resulted in leakage of oil. I was later advised to get the compressor changed as oil change cannot be done. Even after compressor change, the refrigerator was not working and was taken to ASC and returned the unit with drilling in the back to do the work.How and with whose permission the drilling is being done? Is this the standard of repairing the refrigerator? Why should I go for legal proceeding against Electrolux under Indian Penal Court Section 420, 120B?
