We purchased All KitchenAid appliances for our kitchen remodel and we are very pleased with their performance. The oven is beautiful and cooks at the correct temperature. The inside is a beautiful cobalt blue color and very easy to clean.

We started noticing pools of water on the floor on the left side of the freezer. We would then open up the drawer and it was covered in ice. The water was not noticed until the morning so it has caused damage to the floor and molding in our house that was built in 2012. I called the repair company that I used to have my Whirlpool oven fixed (broke twice). That is when the manager gave me the lowdown on what has been happening with this fridge. He told me to call Whirlpool and have them pay for the repair and part and to research online, that it is a design flaw with the freezer and the p-trap and draining under the ice maker being not efficient.I called Whirlpool and complained. All of my appliances are Whirlpool and I spoke to a Supervisor. They only would not agree to pay for the repair and only will pay for the part (which is only $27.00). This fridge is 15 months old and I am irate at the lack of customer loyalty from Whirlpool. They responded the exact same way when my oven broke a month out of warranty. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again, and would like buyers to be aware before they buy an almost $2,000 fridge.

We moved into our home in 2007. Previous owner had just redone kitchen, went high end on appliances not knowing they were going to have job transfer. Recently Thermador downdraft fan stopped working properly. Figured it was out of warranty by now, I took a look to see if it was a switch I could replace - discovered it had a circuit board. I was shocked to see that the circuit board had started to melt along with the wires leading to it. I called Thermador, said I knew it must be out of warranty by now - but it seemed like a defect in manufacturing or design flaw and a fire hazard. After many calls, Thermador reluctantly agreed to send someone at their expense to "diagnose". The technician informed me it happens all the time.I maintain for the amount of money spent on this type of product one should expect it to last longer than five or six years, and of all the appliances I have ever owned, it is the only one that has ever had a part that melted and posed a fire hazard. Thermador refuses to make good - "it is out of warranty" and it is "normal wear and tear". I recorded my last conversation with Thermador. The audio, as well as pictures of the melted circuit board and wires and a video of it sparking and smoking can be found on you tube under the user **. I now have a stove in the middle of the kitchen with no ventilation. I want others - who own one of these or are contemplating the purchase of one - to understand the risk and I would like the Thermador to remedy the situation. I have not yet explored whether I am limited to a Thermador brand based on the dimensions of the hole in the granite countertop.

Purchased fridge, stove, dishwasher, over range microwave, washer, dryer and numerous TVs. Stove cracked from side to side, I purchased new top and installed myself. Fridge stopped working, called Samsung. Spoke with Roger ** Executive Customer Relations. He know nothing about customer service or customer loyalty. I will NEVER purchase a samsung product and if anyone I know is looking to purchase I will tell them BUYER BEWARE.

YKERS306BSS - purchased within the last year. The oven randomly shuts off and will not work, nor will the oven panel. The only way to restart the oven is to pull the unit away from the wall, unplug it then plug it back in. Unfortunately this is not a viable solution for our 91 year old mother. We cannot find anything in the manual to help solve the problem. It would seem from the website that this is somewhat a common problem.

Everything about this stove is fine except for the front burner grids. Some fancy designer who has never cooked on a stove in his life decided that it would LOOK GOOD if the front burner grates curved in to match the shape of the griddle. It leaves a big gap on the outer corner of the stove and I ran into the frying pan handle and the pan and all of its hot bacon grease contents went flying across my kitchen. I thought I was being more careful when I hit the handle of a pot of hot stew and it went flying across the kitchen. You must keep your children out of the kitchen when using these front burners. THIS IS A HUGE HAZARD! DO NOT BUY AN LG STOVE WITH GRIDDLE IN THE MIDDLE.

Viking 6-burner Gas Range - Viking authorized repairman has been out twice for my 6-year-old Viking, each time to replace all ignitors and the seal around the door glass. This is extremely expensive and unbelievable that a commercial range cannot take a daily 20-minute usage of the broiler without wearing out in 3 years time. The excuse I was given was that most people don't broil and their stoves last much longer; and that they mostly go out to dinner. What kind of bologna is this? I wouldn't mind repairing it every 3 years because it really does cook food very well when it is working, but the last time I had it repaired, which was a week ago, it cost me about $800 and I expect it will be even higher in the next 3 years! Isn't there a way for all of us to do a class action lawsuit against Viking? Please let me know if this is in the works because there are so many of us with the same story.

This built-in oven came with the house. It's beautiful. But, I don't think it's ever worked quite right. There are lots of things I like about it - the proof setting for proofing bread, roll-out rack, convection roast mode. However, it does not hold oven temperatures properly, preheats slowly, and the fan is noisy. It is now totally dead at less than 6 years old, and won't heat on any setting. We are waiting for a service callback, who knows how long it will be. I would not be surprised if parts are no longer available as this seems to be a problem with LG and Samsung. If we have to buy another oven it won't be an LG. I wish I could find an induction or smoothtop range that performs well but does not have a lot of electronics, which seem to be the bane of all modern ranges. I am an experienced cook and baker but do not like gas as we have a tight house.

We bought the Sears Kenmore Elite double wall oven and the problem is that every time you cycle the oven through the clean cycle, the oven will not work. This has happened 3 times already where you have to pull the oven out of the wall (enclosure) and hit or replace the thermal switch to make the oven work. We have insurance through Consumers Power and they come out for the fix but there is definitely a serious design flaw with the oven. I called Sears and they said, "the 1-yr. warranty is expired," and, "have a nice day." We are never again purchasing from Sears.

I see Viking in other people's homes, and I got them because I thought the quality was good and they were kind of upper-end. However, the quality is not what I thought it was. We have the whole suite -- we have the refrigerator, a 36-inch freezer, a 48-inch stove, two dishwashers and a microwave. The fridge is fine and I like the size of it. However, I’m surprised at how poorly the others were built. We ended up having to get six dishwashers in total because four of them were bad. The other two, we finally said we were sick of being without a dishwasher, so we just accepted the poor quality. The stainless steel is thin, and it was dented on the front. The drawers on the side were broken, and we ended up having to pay shipping on it because Viking wouldn’t warranty it.
