Product Reviews:

This is the absolute worst washing machine ever!!! It never gets through a cycle without numerous error messages. The place we bought it refused to take it back within a week of purchasing it. The LG repair man came and it was no better. It is supposed to be high efficiency. Sometimes a cycle will last for hours with all the error messages and then it resets the timer and goes back to earlier in the cycle. I HATE this machine and it should be taken off the market.

Does everything it's supposed to except get the clothes clean! Nothing gets clean, even on bulky setting when there's supposed to be more water in the machine!

My model # is WTW4800BQO. Purchased 05/20/14 and, under warranty, had repair come several times and they finally supposedly replaced the "brain" of machine and said nothing further could be done. So all this time I operate the machine manually - timing everything from wash to spin. On all cycles I have to manually - actually "turn off" machine when first wash is completed and reset to rinse and spin otherwise it only partially fills and drops the water right away on the "1st" rinse (besides also dropping water on 2nd rinse). Also I came home one day, after completing a wash load earlier, and found the machine filling up with water automatically so now I always have to be sure the machine is unplugged when washing is completed.

The washer is easy to use and has every function you could need. It effectively and efficiently cleans clothes and does the job. It can also fit everything needed and is easy to load. It is reliable and well made so worrying about issues is not necessary. All of the functions are easy to read so you can be sure you are doing what you want, too. Lastly, the washer is a good value. I got what I expected for the price that I paid. I would recommend this washer to others if they needed one.

I wish I could give negative stars! My Cabrio Model #WTW6600SG2 sounds like a jet airplane on the spin cycle (this started 2 months ago). Now, I'm getting the UL error, it's not an an uneven load!

It is a Kenmore Elite style. Washes worse than a cheap hotel device. Leaves junk on clothes and squeezes the clothes to the point of permanent wrinkles. Other Kenmore have been fine. Not sure what is wrong with this one. It has happened since day one. Called store and no resolution.

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine from Home Depot 4 years ago. It immediately started to grow mold in the seal even though I wiped it clean after usage. I called a certified technician to replace the seal. As he was removing one screw on the lock the Washing machine shorted out essentially destroying the panel and rendering the machine broken. I called Whirlpool and told them that the machine was defective otherwise, why would it do that? My technician has worked on hundreds of machines and this is the first time this has happened. The two managers I talked to refused to help me because I didn't have an extended warranty. It is true that I don't have an extended warranty but also, I had faith that Whirlpool had sold me a good product. There is no other explanation for the washing machine to do that other than it was defective. I asked the managers to send me replacement parts, but they refused to do that. The last machine I had was a Maytag that lasted 20 years and when I gave it away, it was still working. I expected no less from the Whirlpool I purchased at Home Depot.

Going strong for 15 years. Lights blink to advise a problem. Count number of blinks, look it up and problem solved. In 15 years only one issue. A sock got stuck in the tubing. Detailed instructions showed how to remove it. Automatic load adjustment & water level sensor.

I purchased A Whirlpool washer model WTW4816FWD some six months ago and it is worse than my 13 y/o washer I got rid of. When wringing clothes it seems be out of balance as it bangs like crazy even when clothes are adjusted. I thought it was the feet but no dice and the auto sensing levels allows for the washer to fill completely with only three items in it? The noise it makes while washing can be heard throughout the whole house too. The cycle takes three times as long of any I've ever used! I hate this thing.

The owners manual says the cycle for Bulky/Large/Heavy duty can wash and spin 8LBS. A call to the LG service department said it could do 12-14LBS. We have washed a 6LB mattress cover with no problems. We rewashed it 3 months later and it could not spin, tried to reposition item, the drum went back and forth forever to extract water but still couldn't spin. Months later was the 3 bathroom cotton rugs, 17"X24", 21"X24" and 22"X34" total weight 6LBS it couldn't spin. Before the 5 year extended warranty expired called for service 3 separate times.1st repairman said he had no idea what was wrong and said he would have someone else come out, that didn't happen. 2nd repairman saw the rugs put in the machine, partial wash and then try to spin, took 1 out till wouldn't spin took out another still wouldn't spin. They said they would call LG and get answers, they called back a few days later and said LG said it was one loaded and to remove two, that did not work. We were then told that LG doesn't like to repair their equipment. The 3rd repairman couldn't long enough to see if it would spin. The warranty company gave us $50.00 and said to use a commercial laundry. Very unhappy with LG products. I will not buy again. I'm also not happy with extended warranties won't be purchasing those again. Just a word to the wish look at the reviews LG has a problem.
