I purchased my refrigerator on the 16-7-13 model SR690GDLS, 7 months later there was a bubble in the door underneath the water dispenser. The whole door was replaced on the 1-4-17 and the top drip tray part that was faulty in its design as it had holes in it so the water would drip into the bottom tray. This was replaced with one that did not have any holes in it so the water could not go in to the bottom tray. I was told that this would fix the problem. Then after 3 months the plastic around the glass started to crack. I had them replaced on the 4-8-14. Samsung rang me a few days later and said they were extremely sorry for all the trouble and sent me two movie tickets. Two weeks later I notice another bubble on the new door. I rang Samsung again, they sent another door out and another top drip tray with no holes and replaced them on the 9-9-14 only 5 months since the last door was fitted. I suggested to the repairman that the underneath tray may be the faulty one as it was not replaced last time and that the same thing has happened again and that may be the problem and could he please replace that part also. He said that I would have to ring Samsung and order it so I rang Samsung while he was finishing off and they asked to speak to him. He told them that it wasnt faulty and that he replaced what was sent. I then explained the situation again to Samsung and said that that was his opinion. But my opinion is that it must be faulty as it is the only part that has not been replaced and I have had the same problem and do not want it to happen again. She said she would order the part and call me back. 30mins later she called and said they did not think that the part is faulty and that if I ask them to send it out, I have to pay for it. As you can see I am not happy with this situation and the problem is not fixed as I do not have a guarantee that it will not happen again.

Bought this fridge in Feb 2015, I think it was just under a year and noticed a noise in the fridge like a grinding rattling, at the same time the ice machine stopped giving ice. A month later I started noticing the door fridge temp looked normal but the inside was much warmer and we kept blaming our grocery store for the spoiled milk we were going through. I then noticed the rear wall had ice building up through the holes, I decided to unplug it to defrost overnight and load everything into coolers. The noise went away and when I finally got the icebox to pull out I found the interior to be iced right solid. I chipped away the ice and again left it to defrost completely. This lasted for about 3 months and it all started again. I started doing research and to my shock realized these fridges were lemons and the company didnt stand behind their product and in fact in the U.S. there was a Class Action Suit. Last week I finally called Samsung Electronics Canada and told them of the issues and of the Service Bulletin ASC20170602002 for the icebox. They told me I was out of warranty and would cover only the parts, I flat out refused and insisted labor be included. I do feel confident even if this repair was covered by them that the repair would only come back as these fridges look nice on the outside but are of poor design. I have made a complaint to BBB as well as I will be pursuing all other avenues to make these issues public, I cant believe this company hasnt been exposed yet with how they treat their customers.

Samsung refrigerator FR26HFENDSR - I will never trust a samsung dealer or samsung customer service .... They lie to you, not a good business.. Nov 28 - bought this appliance. Home depot delivered it Dec 6, 2014. Dec 9 opened it up and all food was spoiled...board went out. No freezer...so lost all food. Repairman comes out, Dec 15, says we need a new board. Dec 17 called samsung, asking status, board was not even ordered, so board is ordered. Put in a request for reimbursement for food loss. Dec 22, samsung calls to inform me that part is on backorder until Dec 29. They put in a request for food spoilage again, and replacement fridge. Come to find out on the 27, request not put in as I was told it would be, then again on the 27, 29, and Jan 3. As of today samsung informed me that the part is now in and they are not going to put in a request for the food loss, or replacement. All their customer representatives did for the month was blow smoke up my butt and lie to me about what they were going to do for this issue. I will never buy samsung again with the issues that I have had to encounter from the customer service center at samsung. They do not honor what they say to you...

Purchased new in Dec. 2013 for $1150. Since new it has had two thermostats, upper cooler doors(?), lower cooler doors(?), fan motor, and ice maker replaced, very little of it under warranty. Hands down the worst service history of any appliance ever purchased. I dont care much about having to create an account to warn other consumers about the poor quality of Samsung refrigerators.

We purchased the Samsung stainless steel bottom freeze refrigerator (Model RF4287HARS) from Lowes last November. The water from the dispenser is fine but the ice has a musty/plastic taste when it melts and is unusable. I contacted Lowes service and they scheduled a repairman to come out and check the refrigerator. The service guy ordered parts and in a few days, replaced the filter housing and hoses. The ice still tasted bad. I called back to Lowes service and they schedule the service guy to come back. He replaced the ice maker this time but that still did not correct the taste issue. I called service back and they suggested scheduling the service guy for a 3rd visit even though all the parts had been replaced. This was suppose to trigger an automatic Cannot be Repaired process and Lowes would request a Return Authorization from Samsung. First, Samsung refused to revisit the taste issue and also refused to issue a Return Authorization number. More or less, Samsung is saying were stuck with a refrigerator we cant use the ice from. Lowes Customer Support called and said they had done all they could do and that we could contact Samsung ourselves. We talked to a person in Executive Support thats suppose to be trying to get this resolved but, for now, were stuck with this refrigerator. We will never buy another Samsung product of any kind!!! If Lowes doesnt handle this to our satisfaction, we wont do business with them any longer and with our house remodeling business, we buy quite a lot from Lowes each year.

How do they think the people are suppose to fix the ice maker? The last refrigerator we had the ice maker went out in a year. We called the Co. and they said It COULDNT be fixed. What do they think we are suppose to do? Keep buying refrigerator? The next one I buy will NOT have an ice maker in the door.

Samsung Refrigerator problems model RF217ACPN. For the last several months my produce bins have been accumulating water and then water below the bins freezes into a sheet of ice. I tried to contact Samsung and they said perhaps I spilled something. I told them that the problem was repetitive and that I did not store water in the refrigerator. They wanted to send out a technician but I asked them to give me some troubleshooting ideas first. They said they didnt have any because they havent had complaints about this. When I log into this site I see that I am not alone in this problem.

Fridge purchased less than 2 years ago is not cooling. We have the problem
Fridge purchased less than 2 years ago is not cooling. We have the problem for two weeks already. The food gets bad. The upper part of the fridge does not cool. We call Samsung several times. First, a representative was trying to repair it while on the phone. One of those, Mr. **, with very bad attitude. So, we turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then again for a minute but nothing. After another call, Samsung gave me a repair case number and said someone will call me. Waiting a few days, no one called but Cristina ** sent an email 3 days later to tell me I have to call to schedule the repair. Her office was closed at the time I read it, so I called the next day and left 4 messages. It seems she called in the afternoon and talked to my son who has a disability. My son didnt know much about what was going on, so Cristina decided to cancelled the ticket. I called her the next day to ask her why it was cancelled after I left so many messages but she didnt care, and told me to call Samsung to get another repair case number. This means to wait again a few more days. Now Cristina refuses to do the repair saying that I was rude, yes I was very upset, and Samsung does not have any other company to do the repair. So, Samsung wont do anything even though this fridge is still under warranty.

I called the customer service, who were glad to forward me the service company phone number and made sure I realized I will have to pay the bills. I purchased this Samsung refrigerator in July of 2017. From the get-go, I had problems with the unit. First, one of the shelves was uneven. Then I had a couple of service calls to address the loud bang noise the ice machine makes. The repair for this reduced the problem but it still does it occasionally. The most frustrating and persistent problem has been this frequent yet intermittent buzzing sound, like the sound a fluorescent light bulb makes just as it is going bad. I have had the service company out several times to address the issue. The last technician told me it was a normal noise. This is the fifth refrigerator Ive owned as an adult and I have NEVER had this problem. Samsung keeps sending out the same repair company but without any fixes. I am at my wits end.

We purchased the Samsung RF30KMEDBSG/AA from Home Depot in August 2017. Within two months the ice maker completely froze over and was a giant block of ice. Samsung customer service instructed me to put the ice maker into a forced defrost and run that several times. They said it was because the unit was new and had air in the water lines. A week of getting good ice and then another block of ice. This went on several times until I forced Samsung to send a service tech to my home. I cited the now known class action suit to get them to come service the unit. The tech force defrosted the ice maker, sealed the compartment with clear silicone and replaced the entire ice maker mechanism. He stated this is the standard repair and thats about all they could do. Over the next four months we would get occasional build up on the ice maker which we would clean off and run it through a maintenance cycle. We are at no less than 3 customer service calls for different issues and at least 6 for the ice maker alone. Samsung has serviced the unit twice and given instructions for the homeowner to service as needed which we have performed almost bi-monthly.Last week the freezer compartment warmed up to 52 degrees and all our frozen food was lost. Of course we are now a few months out of warranty and they would come look at it but parts and labor is at our own expense. After reading more online reviews and complaints regarding Samsung products, I will never be purchasing another of their products. I spoke with Home Depot regarding the issue and they were supportive but understandably unable to assist at this point. 14 month old $2500 refrigerator that is useless and unreliable but the one star is because it looks great!

Do not EVER buy a Samsung appliance. I bought a refrigerator in April 2016. Within 5 months both ice makers quit working and a fan motor had to be replaced. 7 months later, the fan motor started making a loud noise again, so I bought the extended warranty. I called for service and was told that they would not come out for a loud noise (it was extremely loud). Finally, both ice makers quit working again and then the freezer quit working. I have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get someone to come fix it. Each time they tell me that someone will call within 24 hours to schedule a visit. Nobody ever does. The 2 companies that they assigned it to refused to do the work. Now they are telling me that they have nobody in the area to do the work.Today I spent an hour on the phone being transferred to wrong departments. Then they started me all over again and tried to assign the work to the same 2 companies that refused to do the service. Im extremely frustrated and will NEVER, EVER, buy another Samsung product. TN has a lemon law, and when this refrigerator goes out again (because I know that it will), I will fight the battle to get my $$ back.

Got rid of a 27 year old Kenmore refrigerator so we could experience the newer, energy efficient fridges of today....BIG mistake! Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful appliance, but, I want my Kenmore back! Clearing the ice from the fan and the build up in the ice maker are becoming chores that I NEVER had to do with my old fridge. Every couple of months we have to unload the fridge to access the back panel to melt the ice built up around the fan. At least once a month we have to clear the ice around the ice maker to get the ice maker to work again. Along with those issues, we have standing water under our drawers and the baseboard trim around our cabinets are mysteriously deteriorating...Im assuming its from the fridge leaking, due to mass runoff of the ice melting! Our model is: Samsung refrigerator RF28HDEDBSR/AA. STAY AWAY! Youve been warned!

No help, the person on the phone just kept telling me I could go through Best Buy to fix the issue or have Samsung come out at my additional expense. We just got our brand new french door 24.6 fridge (RF263BEAESR). We had a GE Profile for over 22 years and it was great but it was white and very outdated. The moment we got the fridge I love it! But then I noticed a loud noise and realized it was the ice maker. I had heard reviews on that so it wasnt a complete surprise. Then I noticed that the fridge was noisy. Instead of a nice quiet kitchen there is a constant noise coming from the fridge. When the compressor or the fan isnt running it’s quiet and peaceful. The only problem is the compressor or fan runs 24/7. It might shut off and be quiet for less than 5 minutes and then it runs loudly again. The noise volume wise isnt that loud but it’s very noticeable especially when I want to just sit at the table and have a cup of coffee. When we are sitting in the family room we can also hear it running. The guy who came out from Frys did acknowledge that it shouldnt run constantly and that it was a little louder than normal. But he didnt say they make noise and that he was very immune to the noise because he services hundreds of fridges. So what am I supposed to buy now?

In addition, it is kept at a residence I rent out but only had my first renter of the season in May. I have called Samsung 3 different times only to be told each time someone will respond per their policy within 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. They also said they would escalate it to their executive team and they would call back within 48 hours. This means nothing as I last heard from them 6 days ago when I called them. To get me off track the rep said I needed my receipt, which I have had since the first time I called. He then said These things take time. We purchased a refrigerator on July 29 2017 MODEL RF26HFENDSR/AA and started having noise problems shortly thereafter. This purchase was for a property we were retiring to and we were not there all the time for the first 7 months. Once we moved in there we noticed loud banging noises coming from the fridge at random times. These noises were so loud they woke us in the night.I initially called Samsung about this in early June of 2018. They sent a technician out but the sound did not happen while he was here. As we were in a remote area it took over 4 weeks to get him to come out. After this I was constantly on the phone trying to find out what they would do next and they finally asked me to send them an audio file of the sound. Which I did. They in turn sent it to Samsung and Samsung tells me this was normal. I called them several times after that and then in Oct they refused to even talk to me as they said it was now not in warranty. At that time I pointed out that the problem was there before the warranty was out and they said it didnt matter it was not their problem now. At that point I called Lowes where I purchased the fridge as I had a 4 year extended warranty with them. They sent the same company out again and the Technician was here all of 10 minutes, changed a setting on the fridge and left. This did not solve the problem. After numerous calls to both Lowes and the repair company of Lake City furnishings in Williams lake they finally came back with an email from Samsung saying that the noise was something that happens to only a few fridges and will disappear after 1 or possibly more than 2 years. This is not an acceptable resolution to me and I feel I have wasted countless hours on the phone with Samsung, Lake City and Lowes to no proper resolution.

We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!

Buyer beware. Samsung will not reimburse you for out of pocket expenses for repair of their refrigerator. I purchased a French door Samsung fridge in June 2017. I tried to remove the ice bucket. It was frozen, I called customer service, the fridge was only 3 months old. Samsung sent their appliance tech over to install a new ice bucket. The tech said to unplug the fridge so the ice would melt and he could replace the defective ice bucket. I said, Then the meat & dairy products would spoil. I was told to put it all in the bottom freezer, with dry ice on top. I said, Who will pay for the dry ice. Samsung will reimburse me for the cost of the dry ice. Well that never happened. After numerous phone calls I decided to contact BBB in New Jersey to file a complaint. A rep from Samsung did call after BBB sent them my complaint. Well I got a different story from the Samsung rep. Samsung does not reimburse customers for their out of pocket expenses, even if their fridge is only 3 months old. This is a Billion Dollar Corp. I told the rep and Samsung wont refund me $51.00. KEEP AWAY from Samsung appliances unless you want a pile of problems.

We bought a Samsung Refrigerator French Door Style. We love the inside of the unit, but all the plastic parts are always breaking. The parts that hold the handles on and the top and bottom plastic parts of the freezer door. We have spent hundreds of dollars replacing the parts but they keep breaking. Yet no solution or recall. Last Samsung Refrigerator we will ever buy.

I bought this refrigerator because of the high tech features. For weeks I tried to sync my calendar from my phone to the refrigerator screen with no success. I admit I am not that savvy on tech, but I had two people who are and they gave up. I had the box for less than a year. The lock on the water/ice control comes on and you have to go through the screen to find the lock and unlock it. For the second time, the dispenser will not toggle from ice to water. The entire part was replace less than a month ago and I am having the same problem. I love the idea of high tech and the integration but clearly, if you cant get a Samsung phone to sync with the Samsung refrigerator there is a problem. This was NOT a cheap unit so I am frustrated to pay so much and have nothing but problems. The customer service is terrible. They always tell you to reboot the computer or turn off the refrigerator and refresh it by plugging it back in after a minute. Easier said than done. The refrigerator is in a cabinet and I have to roll it out and squeeze in to unplug it and plug it in again. I had a Kenmore for 15 years and never had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. I am very dissatisfied with this appliance.

We bought a very nice, at least thats what we thought anyway at the time, Samsung Model RF4289HARS French door refrigerator from Home Depot in December of 2011. The ice maker took forever to make ice and it had very little storage. We ran out of ice all of the time and there was only two of us using it. In February of 2014 the ice machine stopped working completely. We had a service man come out and replace the entire front computer portion of the refrigerator that the ice maker was a part of. The cost to replace it was $863.58. Yes, thats right. $863.58 cost to repair an ice maker that was 3 years and 2 months old. Well, guess what. Here it is December of 2017 and the same thing has occurred. No ice maker. Broken again after just 3 years and 9 months after replacing an $863.58 part. Samsung makes a good TV. Their refrigerators are extremely pricing and break down every three years. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Buy a good old made in the USA refrigerator that will probably outlive you. Thanks for nothing Samsung.

Purchased a Samsung side by side in July 2015. About 4 months ago I noticed an odor in my freezer and fridge. Contaminated my food and made the ice taste terrible. I pulled everything out, cleaned every inch of it with baking soda water and put a box of baking soda in the freezer and fridge. I still have the odor. Had a technician come out because my ice maker was not producing ice and asked him about the odor. He could smell it too. He checked the drain, coils & compressor and found nothing wrong. I cleaned it out again and still have the odor. The technician said it smelled like celery. Agreed, but no celery in my fridge. I cannot keep butter or cheese in my fridge unless its double bagged in zip locks. The smell will not go away and its driving me insane. Should have stuck with my Whirlpool.

I would put negative or Zero stars if I could. We are on day 18 with a broken refrigerator and no closer to a resolution. It takes a minimum of 4 days to get a physical service person to arrive and evaluate the problem. In our case it was a severe sealed compressor issue on our refrigerator less than 1 year old and still under factory warranty. After the technician discovered the real problem we waited 3 days for Samsung to determine an exchange was the course of action. 7 Days after that determination we are no closer to getting the exchange we were promised. You would think after the amount of my follow up calls, I could actually reach a person with the ability to simply approve the exchange request. The scripted response is to tell you they will expedite with an email. Horrible service Samsung.

Samsung has very poor customer service, you purchase the product expecting the product to last a while, however, after having it for only 4 months, there are problems. I am not happy with the after purchase customer care, they are not interested in resolving your issues. I was a big fan of Samsung simply because Ive always had numerous Samsung phones, after this issue, I cancelled my phone and purchased an iPhone. I purchased a French door refrigerator RSG309 that has a computerized display, which was my first mistake. I thought, because it was Samsung, it would be okay, I was sadly mistaken. After contacting the customer service center so many times and remaining on hold, being transferred numerous times, having to repeat myself over and over again like a broken record, I gave up. The display does not work, I have to unplug the refrigerator constantly to reboot it so the dispenser can operate properly. This is the worst customer service ever.I am frustrated, I will never purchase a Samsung product again. I definitely plan to seek legal advice because the product is practically new, I purchased an extended warranty and still cant get assistance.

This is accurate and fair. Here it goes. I purchased this refrigerator in 2014 from the Home Depot. I also purchased the 5 yr extended warranty (just in case). It all began with them delivering the wrong unit and it also had a hole in the back from a forklift. The delivery company left it in my driveway and drove off and in the process, ran into and wrecked my neighbors picket fence and would not share insurance information for replacement. Yes. HD sent two young men to pick up the fridge without a lift on the back so all of us had to heft this into a high bed truck to remove it. Ended up renting a truck and picking up and installing the new one ourselves. So I have had this refrigerator for 10 months and it stopped cooling in the fridge and the freezer. I want to add that the vegetable storage units do not keep the vegetables for long at all. They go bad after a couple of days. Back to the technicians, 3, yes 3 hours on the computer chat with a (3) tech(s) from Samsung to reset the OFF reading on the digital display. After 3 hours of attempting to reset and do all the bells and whistles to reset, the tech(s) then tell me that the panel is bad and needs a technician to go to the home location and repair it. They said to call Samsung to create a ticket. Ok, also called Asurion who has the warranty. They said they would create a ticket and send me a food loss form. Sent food loss form and then Im told that a reimbursement will not be issued until after the repair? I then call Samsung who tells me that there should be a repair person by Wednesday or Thursday (it is Saturday) and they would create a ticket. Then I called the Home Depot who tells me that if the issue was not solved by Wednesday or Thursday they would send me a check for the fridge or a new one? WTH? Its now Thursday (6 days after fridge quits) and no one knows about the problem or any ticket issued. I snapped. We then start all over. I am then told that it is a simple fix and I would have to pay for the repair? NO, NO, NO. I am then sent to the secondary customer person who then creates ANOTHER repair ticket and tell me that the repair person will call me in about 48 hours or so and cannot even conceivably come until next Tuesday or Wednesday. No we are into 11 days of this issue. So, this Samsung refrigerator has NO repair people in this area and yet they are continuously sold. Now what? I paid over $2,200 (on sale) for this absolute piece of mechanical scrap with the worst customer service ever. NEVER, and I mean NEVER purchase this refrigerator or any Samsung refrigerator, NEVER. Repeat that to yourself.

Undependable. I am beyond angry, I just lost over $200 in food because this stupid fridge just stopped working while I was away, all because the filter change indicator was on!? They have designed the fridge to indicate that the water filter needs to be changed every 6 months like clockwork, the indicator light does not actually tell you if its dirty it just happens at 6 months. Please do your research from feedback from consumers who have actually purchased and owned the product for more than two years. I bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2010 from Sears. August 2012 the cooling system stopped working. I knew it was a failed compressor. It took ten days to get a service repairman to come out and replace the compressor. He was from A&E Factory Service. He tried to bill me and I showed him my 5-year warranty. It was resolved. Several months later, the cooling system stopped working. I called Samsung. A& E was scheduled to come out in a week. They never showed up. They had given the tag to Tekniton who when I called denied they had the service tag. I spent 4-5 hours making calls, being put on hold, transferred before finally Samsung sent a repairman out that day. What was the problem? A&E failed to weld the tubing shut properly. The coolant leaked out over time. Once again they tried to bill me. Once again I had to go through channels to clear up. Here it is February 14, 2013. Guess what? My refrigerators cooling system has failed again. I contacted Samsung for a repair. They tried to tell me that I was going to be charged. Once again, I had to remind them I have a 5-year warranty. Now when will this service person show up? How many times will my service tag be passed around? Never will I buy any Samsung product again. I have been a consumer of major appliances for 40 years. I will not buy anything labeled Samsung.

Ice maker freezing up, water pooling in and under the meat and vegetable bends, water overflow on the floor, filter light will not go off. Dont just read what is said on this site... Go anywhere on the web. You will see nothing but the same negative reports. Samsung will not recall nor fix the problem. Samsung sent out a service memo to the companies who sell their refrigerator in June of 2015 advising them of existing problems with the refrigerator. Lowes sold me a Samsung refrigerator without telling me about the existing problems or the service memo. Samsung will not stand behind their product. The only way we, as consumers, can fight back is to boycott the company and the stores that sell their products. Consumers are fighting back... The stores who continue to sell Samsung products without telling the customer about existing problems should be sued also.

This is the second French Door Samsung fridge I have bought, and it will be the LAST Samsung product EVER to be in my house. The first french door one was perfect. I purchased model # RF263AEWP from Lowes in Dec. 2011. Bought an extended warranty, that was a waste of $. Cant get anyone to come out. There is only one company in the East Bay of San Francisco that will come out my way for warranty work and they have lots of complaints on Yelp. They must all know the problems and dont want to bother? The water pools at the bottom of the fridge, the icemaker works when it wants, frost buildup on the back wall of fridge, etc. Today the final straw was the horrific fan noise that stops when the doors open, and then resumes when the doors are closed. With open concept kitchens, the noise is extremely annoying. I am going to throw in the towel and get a new one, even though I cant afford it. Too bad there is not a designation for negative stars! I cant get to my receipts - the filing cabinet is stuck closed.

Ice maker never worked properly (leaked, jammed, made inadequate ice when it did work). Since I had another refrigerator, I decided to take out the ice maker to make more room in the freezer. Did so (after great effort--badly designed drawers for removal). Refrigerator wouldnt work. Went on chat line. First time worked with someone for 25 minutes who obviously didnt have a clue about my particular model (kept referring to buttons that didnt exist) even though I had given her the correct model (french door unit)--then cut off. Tried again; passed to another tech. In both cases, I asked if the removal of the ice maker might have caused the problem. Was assured not. Went through every possible trouble-shooting efforts (most of which I had already done). Asked again: could it be that the removal of the icemaker was causing the problems? No, I was told, I would have to call a service rep. Before I did so, however, I reinstalled the icemaker. Refrigerator worked perfectly. Apart from the fact that English is clearly a second language, these folks dont have a clue about their own equipment.

When our Samsung refrigerator died after only 3 yrs., we thought it a fluke and for some unearthly reason we purchased another Samsung. This new refrigerator is so noisy that our guests have actually asked What is that noise? After many communications back and forth with Samsung (wherein Samsung acknowledged the noisiness), and with RC Willey, Samsung sent a technician to our home to inspect the refrigerator, he determined that although the refrigerator is properly working, the loudest noise had to do with the water running into the ice maker which occurs about every 90 minutes. It is a clunking sound followed by a tinny vibration and then another clunking sound. He acknowledged the noise and asked if either Samsung or RC Willey would help us and I responded No. We spent more than $2,100 on this refrigerator and, although the refrigerator is working, the noisiness is embarrassing and even makes me jump occasionally. I requested that we be able to exchange the refrigerator for another model but Samsung has refused. Never again would we purchase a Samsung product and we may also never shop at RC Willey again as they also did nothing to help us. They could have exchanged the refrigerator but also chose not to. I am thinking of filing a small claims as we never anticipated buying a new refrigerator with these problems.

I bought a Samsung French door refrigerator in August 2011. Had them come out 3 times (April-May 2012) as it was frosting in the freezer. On third technician visit, the tech recommended (in writing) that the refrigerator be replaced. Samsung would not do it on the grounds that the retailer does not participate in our exchange program. Okay, but thats not my issue. They asked that I give them my cc number, cut the cord, send the cord and the serial number label to them, then I might get a check in 2-4 weeks. Samsungs internal refund policy states you must do the above to get a refund, but the warranty just says repair or replace at our option. Samsung would do neither. I took them to small claims court and just won a judgement for over the value of the fridge for removal, etc. Dont let them push you around. Take them to court! Their internal policy has nothing to do with the warranty agreement/contract between you and Samsung. I believe there is grounds for a class action lawsuit here.

I have owned the double French door Refrig for just over 3 years and Ice maker goes out. 2 appointments to repair and over $300 in P & L. Ice maker now dispenses crushed and cube together while on cube program, this issue never happened before Ice maker went out. Their Separate service company says it needs a new part to correct new problem and costs an additional fee! Samsung unwilling to send new part at their cost. I am considering after reading reviews and how many there are a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against Samsung and its service company! I would like to know who would be open for such a Suit?

In April 2010, purchased the Samsung RF267 AEPN refrigerator. Three years later, the refrigerator was making a horrible sound. A few days later, the cooling stopped and we lost all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. Cause? Lots of ice had formed; the fan was hitting it, causing the noise. New evap. fan $256. A few months later, the same thing happened. Today, we are experiencing this same problem, again. This refrigerator is 4 yrs old. Apparently we arent the only ones... What can we do? To start, I will never purchase another Samsung appliance.

Recently we smelled smoke in our house, traced to refrigerator. When pulled out, a square scorched mark was left on floor and refrigerator was not operating. After several calls to Samsung, spoke to friendly women whose only response was, Your refrigerator is out of warranty, I can send a service person at your cost. If we were not home at the time, our home could have burned down, and their response is, Were sorry but you are out of warranty. When asked if they would like to see photos of scorched floor, her response was You can send them if you like. Very disappointed since we have all Samsung kitchen appliances and TV.

Absolute horror story so far with Samsung Customer Service. New Samsung Refrigerator Model RF31FMEDBSR/AA was received and installed September 30, 2013. Worked fine until day before Thanksgiving. Freezer stopped working and all food for holiday was ruined as well as party to be held. Contacted Samsung at 1-800-726-7864 Wednesday morning and explained our problem in full. We were told we would receive a call back 24-48 hours for help. Samsung finally called back the following Monday. Samsung stated they would give us a reference number and would be assigning the repair work to USSI who, in turn, would call us back for the service work to be conducted. USSI was then supposed to contact Samsung informing them what parts would be needed to correct the condition with the refrigerator. I asked how would they know what parts to order if they did not have anyone, initially, look at the refrigerator to know exactly what the problem was. Per USSI, they would call me back when they receive the parts from Samsung. I called Samsung on December 13, 2013 asking what the status was regarding the parts as I had not received a call back from USSI. Samsung representative told me USSI received the parts on December 11th but failed to call letting us know when a technician would come to our house for repair work. On Sunday morning, December 15th, the technician called stating he would be at our house between 3:00 and 5:00 P.M. A little after 3:00 PM, he showed up and replaced two items (Evap cover, Main PCB) and then left. Next morning, the refrigerator had a lower temperature than before and the freezer was not functioning at all. December 16, 2013, I called Samsung back and was put on hold for three times after explaining my problem. The fourth time I called, I spoke with a woman (Sherry) who informed me that the repair work would be handed over to another company known as All American Appliance at 386-631-0076, who would be calling me back for an appointment. After not receiving a call from All American or Samsung, I called All American to learn my status. A woman informed me that they received information from Samsung but they were not servicing my area. I asked for their location and was told they are located in Daytona Beach, Florida. Next, I informed the woman that their location is 5 miles from my house and would be in their immediate work area. She replied that they could not send anyone out until after the end of the year - December 31, 2013. I called Samsung back and they stated they would be assigning another company but I would not know what company until I get a call back between 24-48 hours.

Bought this fridge in April 2016 had ice maker replaced November 2016. Ice maker sheet if ice could not use was replaced. Now April 2017 ice maker iced over. Call again for service was told my warranty was expired but they would give me extension to have it replaced again. I called April 17 for service. They set the appointment for 4-28. They text me the name of company ticket number and phone number. Well of course no one showed up or called. I called Samsung repair service, was told the service center cancelled my appointment after I took the day off work. Well anyone that has dealt with Samsung knows they make you so mad you end up hanging up on them. So now to file a complaint with the BBB. As Ive seen all the complaints they cant do anything about it. Samsung should not be allowed to sell this junk.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!

Samsung fridge with the drink drawer is the smarter purchase I've made! I purchased the 'Samsung - 28.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Apps Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Stainless steel -Model:RF28HMELBSR" 3 years ago and have never regretted it. The fridge is a powerhouse with cool features. The drink drawer is SO awesome! It keeps our soda and beer cool and out of the way! It has a mini-touchscreen that plays Pandora, shows our calendar, weather and news, plus has an app for drawing notes. The connection isn't always stable and the phone mirroring app never worked, but I don't care. It's really cool. Keeps the food fresh, the freezer is large and has a drawer for small items as well. The shelves are movable and it looks lovely. I totally recommend it!

On 8/11/2010, I bought a Samsung 264 L capacity fridge from Electrical Discounters in Port Augusta. In about Aug 2012, my fridge broke down. No worries, Samsung took about 2 weeks to repair using a local technician. The local technician was very hesitant to take on any more Samsung warranty claims as he has had problems in the past. He was kind enough to replace the timer defroster at the back of the fridge. I lost over $300 worth of food. In the end of October, my fridge broke down again. I expressed my concern as it is a 2-year warranty coverage that expired on 8/11/12. Samsung acknowledged this (apparently noted this) because as far as I am aware, there is only one fridge technician in Port Augusta, hence my cause for concern. The problem - exactly the same as the first time it broke. Again, the timer was replaced after another 2 weeks without a working fridge. I was never contacted by Samsung. I have initiated the calls and contact on every occasion. You can imagine my frustration when on 26 December 2012, items in my fridge were growing mold and my ice cream in the freezer was almost liquid (semi-soft). I refused to believe so I waited a day before reporting it thinking maybe there had been a power outage that I did not know about overnight. I reported the fault on either 27th or 28th December to Samsung. Samsungs solution - you need a technician to look at it. It is exactly the same problem as the 1st and 2nd time. And now the technician refuses to play any further part in dealing with my fridge or Samsung. As far as I am aware, there are no other fridge technicians in Port Augusta. The closest would be Whyalla or Port Pirie. I struggle to imagine them making a single trip for my Samsung fridge only. I have since called Samsung 4 times inquiring as to my status as I have never received a phone call from them updating me on my status. I was informed that a technician would need to examine the fridge and now, after just getting off the phone with them, they advise that a technician will look at repairing the fridge. I have expressed my desire at having the fridge replaced but now that no technician in Port Augusta is willing to deal with Samsung, I am left at a loss. The replacement of a fridge leaves me inevitably frustrated as I am concerned I will be given another dodgy Samsung fridge with no one to repair it. I have made Samsung aware of these concerns to which they note but never contact or update and to be told that a technician is looking at repairing my fridge (which has broken down 3 times in the past 6 months) is upsetting.I have given Samsung ample opportunity to update me and liaise with me but as you can see, my frustrations are continually growing as I now do not want a Samsung fridge. I would like my money back as they are not offering me a suitable alternative. I was advised by email on Jan. 4 that a case manager has been assigned to me complaint but I have yet to hear further from them. Please help me. All I want is a working fridge that I can rely on.

Needed repairs within 3 years. Called first appliance repair company not with Samsung. Defrosted it and with service call charged me 296.00. Told me the noise and ice buildup was a compressor issue. Called Samsung and got a certified Samsung technician for another service call fee. Had the parts already to fix it. Apparently, they have problems with drainage, which backs up and causes freezing up. Not apparently under the warranty, though I am sure they know this French door model has these issues, or they would not have their technicians know exactly what is causing the issues and come prepared to fix it. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Rip off! I am $600.00 in the hole for repairs for their faulty design. They should stand behind their bad designs and fix them at no cost!

I cannot believe our expensive French door refrigerator (purchased from Home Depot in November 2014) has disappointed me so much. In common with so many of the reviews, we have no ice maker. It took over a month to get an official Samsung repair person to come and his verdict is that he knew exactly what the problem was, had seen it in so many other of the same model refrigerators and quoted me $800 to repair, and said I might as well get to know him, because it would break again. The back of the unit is frozen and the fans cannot work properly. I thought this was a reputable company with quality products. I will never buy a Samsung again. Refrigerator mod # RF28HMEDBBC/AA - From the first day of having ice, it took FOREVER to get a glass of ice out of it. I called customer service after 2 weeks of use and had them listen to the ice come out and how long it took and she said oh that is normal. The ice comes out in a half crushed half cubed form and I told her THAT is not normal. After trying to convince her that I was over 70 years old and have had ice maker the last 40 years and I know how they are supposed to work and this one sucks and I got extremely frustrated with her I hung up. 4 month later I called back in because the ice maker was freezing up on the inside and outside. They sent a repairman out that totally blew off the first appointment and the second appointment but showed up for the third one but didnt have the parts needed and had to order them. Showed up with those parts, replaced them. After a week it started freezing again. I called back in and they replaced the internals again and two weeks later it froze again and they replaced it again with an upgrade of gaskets on the ice maker along with the internals of the ice maker again. It took almost 36 hours to fill the ice maker and it still comes out half crushed and half cubed. Yikes. It has made a loud noise since we have had it and all of them say this is NORMAL!!! REALLY. The refrigerator part has worked great. The shelving totally sucks for placement of items. NOTHING fits anywhere. Would I buy another one? Not only no but hell no!!! Freezer part is great and no complaints with it. I certainly hope this helps anyone looking to purchase a Samsung French door refrigerator.

I purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator with ice maker 3 years ago. The refrigerator is junk. It freezes up making clucking jarring sounds because of the ice build up. It leaks under the crisper drawers and on to the floor outside of the fridge. I have contacted Samsung for the last 6 months. They asked me to allow them to pay a service tech to come fix it. The service tech broke the fridge and had me pay $400 to fix it. Still does the same thing. Samsung asked to pay for another repair but their techs could not make an appointment that was convenient for me then told me to use a tech in my area to state the fridge was unrepairable. I did so and paid $85. Now they are telling me that it is a seal problem and that I am either leaving my doors open or the doors are not on properly. I have since purchased a Maytag and threw the Samsung off my back porch. Samsung creates ticket numbers and closes them never returning phone calls or emails. Showing they are the guilty party in the problem with this fridge. I currently have had another ticket escalated to ask to pay for what I have put out because they asked me to do this in order to resolve the issue. $481. They just give you the runaround once again proving they are guilty of knowing that these are junk. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG.

We bought a side by side Samsung Fridge and Freezer. Within the first year the motherboard broke and Samsung came to fix it with no charge. 3 years later out of warranty the fridge broke again. It took one of their technicians 3 weeks to come out due to them giving bad service. They more worried about the R570.00 call out fee rather than providing excellent service. After 3 weeks technician came and said there was a leakage, rusted pipe and it needed gas. Come on Samsung. After 3 years a fridge cannot need gas. I had a Fridge side by side Fridgemaster for 15 years and it never needed gas. Its abnormal and I know it is a faulty fridge.I told one of Samsung people yesterday I am a very unhappy customer and is only paying because I have to get it fixed. It costed me buying a bar fridge as Samsungs waiting period is pathetic. I was quoted R450.00. I have a call recording and emails sent to them. I intended buying a Samsung washing machine but NO SAMSUNG PRODUCTS ever. I am telling the world out there dont ever opt for a Samsung Fridge. They sell faulty products and would not replace it. My fridge still looks brand new as we working and only uses it at night and over weekends but I made a big mistake as the product is not cheap over 10,000.00. I am still waiting on them now to call me to say when the pipes will be fixed and the gas. Suppose to come Saturday but I will wait and see if I receive a phone call today.

We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer
We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer. Within a few months various parts of the interior began to crack, annoying for such an expensive refrigerator but not fatal. The real problems began when the ice maker began to malfunction. It got so bad that we had it repaired outside of the main warranty this past May and it worked fine for about 8 or 9 weeks and started to malfunction again. After speaking with Samsung today the contracted repair company said that I would have to pay for a new repair to the unit because it was 93 days since the original (outside the 90 day window). Samsung, when I called back were no help at all and of course hid behind their policies. I explained to them and to the repair company that I didnt feel it was fair to have to pay for a repair twice, when the original repair was obviously inadequate. I would recommend never buying a Samsung refrigerator as they are not well made for the price and their customer service is designed to give as little to the consumer as possible. Also, I would advise purchasing an extended warranty on a refrigerator that you pay over $1500 for as one repair costs more than the warranty itself.

I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator only a year and a half ago and it started to make a loud noise. Had it serviced and the service professional advised it was a build up of ice in the mechanisms causing the fan to not spin properly. He advised this was a fault of the POOR DESIGN and that it would continue to have this issue! I have been online looking for solutions to this issue that would be less costly than engaging a repair man each time and found hundreds of videos by Samsung refrigerator owners who are experiencing the same issue. Tell me why a company would continue to build a product and sell it to the public KNOWING it has a critical fault. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT. I have no confidence in the companys ability to build products. Not one refrigerator should have left their warehouse after they realized the fault in the engineering. RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws
RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws, and we have had nothing but problems with it. The first unit purchased from Lowes in mid 2008 (with the extended warranty) lasted less than a year. The ice maker stopped working and when the repairman pulled the unit out, the entire new Brazilian teak hardwood flooring underneath was warped and wet from an internal slow leak that was probably missed as it came off the assembly line. Lowes brought a brand new 2009 unit, hauled the faulty one away and provided a credit to fix the flooring. Fast forward to Sept. 2014 (one month out of warranty)... Fridge/freezer stop cooling altogether with no error codes. I caught it just in time to keep everything inside from spoiling completely. To fix the sealed compressor system will be $1000. The external ice/water dispenser is also showing major signs of corrosion (leaking from the inside out), even though this is supposed to be 100% stainless steel... Nothing we have tried will clean it.At this point we have transitioned back to our faux stainless steel 10+ year old side by side in the garage. The Energy Star, digital inverter compressor technology is nothing but headache and money wasted for the end consumer. This unit was produced to be super insulated with one of the largest capacities available. It is now a $2800 decoration, and like most people, I expect an appliance with that price tag to last much longer than 5 years. The issues I have listed echo numerous complaints all over internet forums. We have spent over $10,000 on Samsung products in the past 10 years, but with this incident we no longer have any confidence in their products. In other words, give me old skool. I could have purchased 5 of my mothers fridges for the amount I spent on this piece of junk... and hers is 20 years old.

When it became obvious that it the pan itself was rusting, I called Samsung Customer Service and explained the situation. After explaining the situation, the CSR left the line for a few minutes. When she returned she suggested I buy Bartenders Friend to clean up the mess. When I asked how I could prevent the rust from returning, she seemed confused, said she had solved my problem and hung up.I emailed Samsung CS with the complaint stating that a 30-month enamel job shouldnt fail and how could I prevent the rust from occurring again. I received a reply that read like the authors masters thesis that thoroughly explained the chemical action that occurs between water and iron. I went to Lowes in Palmdale, CA with my problem. The salesman was no help; the department manager told me that Samsung didnt make that model anymore and maybe that was why. And that he couldnt help me. Ask me if Ill buy anything from Samsung again. Or if I shop at Lowes.
