Only problem I have had is with the ice maker, but in all fairness, I have had the same problem with all the refrigerators I have owned. Otherwise, this refrigerator has been excellent. There is ample freezer space with the double drawers.

Bought my LG from Sears one year ago. Within that time, I had it replaced five times. The bottom drawer builds ice and wont open. The back board went out and freezes and they won't give me another one. Wanted my money back from the first one, they said just try another one or I did five more times. They won't fix it so I have LG coming out to fix it today. I'm still making payments on it and just want the new model. The part is on recall. Spent many hours on phone, six hours a day, 4 hours a day and so on. Well, it's been a month. Sears has a very mean person in parts. She made me cry. She told me that I was scamming Sears. How the hell am I scamming Sears when they have been all broke last 2 1/2 months? Help. I'm so stressed out. Please take my word. Do not buy from Sears model number lfc2077osw French door with bottom drawer.

My husband and I purchased a brand new LG fridge through Sears only FOUR MONTHS ago. One month after purchase it started making noise, which has increased to the point where it is loud buzzing and rattling. We went to Sears and were told we should have purchased the warranty; they won't honor even a 4-month old bad appliance that they carry in their own stores. They called LG company for us and we are STILL waiting to hear from them, but I'm not optimistic. The Sears rep told us that LG is notorious for not responding or fixing problems. We live in a small town, and there is no LG repairman locally; so we have to try to get someone up here from miles away. Not optimistic THAT is going to fly with LG. Furthermore, I do not like being FORCED to buy a warranty in order to pay for bad equipment only months old...it's rather like having to pay "protection money" to keep thugs from destroying your home. Will NEVER buy a LG product again after our experience and reading other complaints similar to ours. We are going to try to see if local repairman can fix the problem and just pay for it as the costs projected for an LG repairman to come up here are exorbitant, and we learned from the Sears that LG almost never sends a repairman to our town. Our frustration and anger over this lousy appliance isn't worth waiting and arguing for months with LG Company. We are also frustrated with Sears for carrying a product with so many problems...

Love this fridge, just wish the ice cube dispenser/maker would make more and quickly. It would be helpful if the vegetable drawer (the big drawer on the bottom of the fridge) would come apart to clean.

This is one of the most impressive refrigerators. High tech features. But also, its overall format does not waste unnecessary spaces, thus being less bulkier. It holds a lot of items. One constructive criticism: the ice container on the side is not quite user-friendly (though I don't know how to improve it).

LED lighting, touchable black stainless steel, the layout of the shelving and 10 year limited warranty. I have used LG products before and have always been satisfied. The refrigerator was also on sale for a great price. I would recommend this product to friends and family. It had most of the features I was looking for. I have been very happy with all the features of this product and cannot think of any thing that I would change or add. LG products are very well made. I looked at several other brands and styles and choose the LG. I really liked the sleek look. The shelving layout was better than what I was looking for and the price was great. I was very happy with this product. I would say all my expectations and then some were met.

French Door Model WRF989SDAWOO: Horrible quality, worse support! We have a new French Door (not inexpensive). Within 3 months of owning it, we phoned in because the unit was periodically making a very loud, metallic humming sound. We were politely told that noise was normal, and that if the unit was working when the service man came out, we would be charged. A few months later, the noise was constant, and we noticed that the temperature was not stable. Freezer was set to 0, Fridge to 36, yet the thermometer was reading 20 (freezer) and 38 (fridge). We called in, concerned that it was failing. We were put on a "schedule" for 9 days later. We were told we would get a call the day before with a 2-hour window when the tech would come. That didn't happen. We got a call that the tech would come between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm (he showed up at 5:35 pm).We phoned in 3 days later to tell them that we were losing food (freezer was now showing 29, fridge 40). We were told (by both Westinghouse and by A&E Factory Service, which is Sears) that we should rent another refrigerator. When the service tech showed up, the first point of contention was that we had Whirlpool's warranty (and had paid for the extended warranty) rather than Sear's Master Protection agreement. Nevertheless, the tech finds that there is a problem with the evaporator coil, which had to be ordered from the factory. The tech was nice, and told us not to wait to be rescheduled, but to call him directly, and he would come the business workday after we notified him that the part arrived. Another week without a refrigerator / freezer, and now we have to worry about what the tech told us; these units are NOT of good quality, and have had repeated failures in the cooling systems.

I have just bought a Fisher and Paykel fridge (E373L WW). I chose this brand only because nobody else makes a fridge of this size without a freezer. Well, nobody whose products are imported into New Zealand, anyway. I don't need a freezer. I lost confidence in Fisher Paykel many years ago. It is so hard to believe this company was once so highly revered by every New Zealand housewife. They made washing machines and fridges that never break down; well, not until well into old age. I still have in use a chest freezer made by them in the 1970's. They must have made enough profit in those days making products that lasted. Why can't they still do so? My fridge is only 6 weeks old and appears to be working fine. The two stars is not for the fridge but the company.

I purchased this fridge in February 2015. In August, the handle on the fridge door broke. I called for a replacement on 8/7, on 9/14/15 I received it. It broke on 10/3/15 and had a replacement on 10/13/15. It broke again on 12/26/15. I called for a replacement. I should get it in 10 days. Obviously, there is a flaw in their design. What bothers me is that no one seems to care. I will hope I never have to buy a Whirlpool product again. And I will certainly discourage anyone I know who is thinking about buying their products. I purchased this product at Lowe's and they did not care when I went to them.
