Consumers should be aware of purchasing Samsung refrigerators as they do not last without extensive repair. Exactly at 2 yrs and 2 mos., freezer issues and ice maker issues developed some of which are still not functioning. Now our repair person has not been able to get a freezer part for weeks as it is out of stock and on back order. This is a $2200 purchase made 12/18/12, that is the worst appliance that I have ever purchased. I am now going to have to spend another $2000 plus to replace this *** in order to have a working appliance. Buyer aware notice from me to perspective purchasers.

Does anyone else have problems with the front door leaking out of the vapor
Does anyone else have problems with the front door leaking out of the vapor collector inside the door? It is vented out the bottom and our Samsung dishwasher leaves a small puddle every time we wash. Samsung said it is because our house isnt warm enough. I especially like that one!! not.. We have placed a rubber backed throw and the tray from our George Foreman fryer to catch the water. Samsung says this cant be happening.

I bought the Samsung 32 Cubic French Door 2 years ago and I have to tell you it is without a doubt the worst decision I have ever made in my life! Less than 1 year, all the plastic pieces starts falling off. Samsung said its cosmetic and warranty does not cover. The electric panel broke apart. They replace 1 time. 2 days later the same happen. They said that is also cosmetic! Now 2 years later the fan is making a noise like a boat engine and they said it is not covered - I have to pay for it. I have everthing in the house Samsung, even the names are falling apart! NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT EVER. THEY ARE WORTHLESS!!! DO NOT EVEN TAKE FOR FREE!!! Go Kenmore, or any other brand!! Did I tell you their customer service is in the Dominican Republic and is also worthless!!!

Ditto on all the above comments. Unfortunately we did not see the reviews before our dishwasher purchase 1 yr ago. Just like others have commented on, dishes werent cleaning, drying, or finishing cycles. And dont forget about all the blue sensor lights flashing all the time without any indication of the problem. Service came out and told us its the Display Unit that needs to be fixed. A $300.00 part, even though we just paid $600.00 for it brand new a yr ago. Contacted customer service to explain our issue, and they said there is nothing they could do and good luck. At the same time they were servicing my Samsung dishwasher, they were trying to fix the Samsung refrigerator that we bought on the same day. REALLY! Both appliances have problems at the same time? How nice for Samsung. So after paying 2 service fees on the same day for 2 appliances, we have decided to throw the dishwasher out in the driveway and put a sign on it saying FREE - Junk. We did mention to customer services about all the horrible reviews, and they could careless because they know more unaware consumers are going to make the bad choice of buying anything from Samsung.

We bought a beautiful looking RF30HBEDBSSR/AA and had nothing but trouble with the ice maker. Samsung will not come up with a solution or stand behind their product. We thought about replacing the ice maker but Samsung has not corrected the problem, so buying a new one will not solve the problem! We have to defrost the freezer the old fashion way, with hot water. We are tired of doing this process because we have to keep the refrigerator doors cracked open so it wont start freezing again. By doing this we have lost perishable goods. We have replaced our Washer and Dryer with a different brand because Samsung wont fix the problem and now we are replacing our refrigerator even though its not that old! Next well replace our range. We started replacing our TVs also. NO MORE SAMSUNG!!!!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I incorrectly thought this would mean quality. We plunked down $3K. Now that it does not work, No repair person will touch it because they cannot obtain replacement parts. You can only use their service center. The original Samsung service center that was recommended is now scheduling appointments for more than a month out. When I complained, they told me they would send me an email to get in touch with a different service center. The young lady that answered was trying her best, but without support from higher ups or Samsung what good is it? This service center has only has one technician Really??? I dont have a refrigerator, dont know if they can fix it or if the parts will be on the service person’s truck, or backordered, or... Still waiting... SAMSUNG WANTS TO SELL BUT DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THEY SELL, then they hold you captive with only their service center and availability of parts.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator (Model: RS277) almost 4 years to date. Ice maker will no longer make ice. After calling the service center, they dispatched a service call. When the representative called to schedule an appointment, they wanted $160 to come out and diagnose the issue. I dont agree with paying $2,800 for an item and getting 4 years of good use out of it, nor do I feel I should have to continue to invest in this item to keep it working, especially in this short period of time. I spoke to an Executive Relations representative, and they were of no assistance either. Pretty much sticking to their guns of driving revenue to service their junk. If you are shopping for a refrigerator, I strongly discourage you from buying Samsung. I certainly never will again.

We have had the Samsung refrigerator about 8 years. We had to replace the ice maker 3 years ago. Several of the drawers are cracked but were never dropped or abused in any way. The gasket around the doors to the refrigerator part are weak and will have to be replaced soon. Although the refrigerator an freezer keep food cold and frozen, we know this appliance will not last like our previous one which we still have and isnt a Samsung. The old one is in our garage and still works like new and is 25 years old. I wanted a larger fridge and that is the reason we bought the Samsung. Of course, I regret buying it.

I bought the Samsung dual flex because of the flex zones which seemed amazing. Well, let me tell you, the thing is very difficult to use. No more just turning the knob and having the oven on. Everything requires several steps which is frustrating when you are busy cooking and dont have a whole minute to program the oven. It seems petty until you are doing it.Worse is the lack of quality. My previous range was a 30 year old JennAir. A burner went out and the repair was $120. I should have repaired it. This Samsung is junk. We only cook 1-2 times per week with the stove (have an electric pressure cooker and infrawave we use a lot) and my son was trying to turn on the burner and it made a loud pop, the lights in the house flickered and it tripped the 50 amp breaker! I called Samsung right away. Their service center is in Compton, that Compton, and their service people treat you like you would expect to be treated in Compton based on the citys reputation. The guy told me to unplug the stove. I told him it would be a minute because I put a silicone bead between the stove and the counter so spills dont get under my stove and I would need a minute to razor that before moving the stove. The guy told me THAT was what broke the stove. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with sealing the stove and counter to stop the mess but a professional service person did that at my old house and it was amazing. And I have done it since because counter spills running between the stove and counter are gross. And there is no way a paper thin silicone bead on the outside edge of the stove and counter top seam would cause the stove to make a loud pop and then trip a breaker.A few days later someone calls me to come look at it. I thought I was covered at least under parts warranty. Nope! Nothing. $150 for someone to show up and then whatever the parts cost. The fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on this item should be a big red flag. This is the second Samsung appliance to let me down. I bought a Samsung fridge a while back and it was DOA. I ended up with a Whirlpool I hate because I let them haul the old fridge away and then had a fridge full of food spoiling and they offered to deliver the Whirlpool floor model in the next half hour. So 2 for 2 on the Samsungs being crap. And their service is horrible!! Im almost wondering if they are not using prison slave labor. When they call you it is a Compton number they call from. The way their customer service people talk to you and dont care at all prison labor would make sense.

This thing has leaked water for 2 years. Now there is ice coming through all of the air vents. The digital temperature control doesnt work. Samsung is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. The runaround is not unusual but outright lies which they refer to as misinformation. They offered me a store credit and went so far as to give me a number to fax my sales receipt to in order to facilitate said credit and later told me they dont even do store credits!!! Bought the dishwasher in 7/2017. Have had 3 repairs in 10 months and even when its working it does a terrible job and I want it removed and a refund. They absolutely refused despite repeated phone calls even up to someone at the office of the president who gave me the same line. NO REFUNDS, exchange only. No thank you. Absolutely disgusted with this company.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot. We have this machine for about 10 weeks now. We have had the repairman here six times. The lights come on telling us that there is a leak. It runs and runs and runs so we unplug it. By the time repairman comes, it resets. Nothing wrong with it. We finally sent a video to Samsung of what is happening. They replace the pump. An hour into the next dish-washing cycle, the light is back on. Samsung will not replace or refund without repairman stating it is defective. Repairman coming back Monday.

RS265TDRS - Purchased this fridge about 3 years ago. Fan started making a loud purring sound when cycling, then after a couple of days, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Spent $350.00 to put in a new computer board, thermostat and sensor. Now, two months later, it is repeating the issue -- loud cycling of fan and quit cooling. I have just purchased a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy a Samsung product again! Found this website when fridge died the first time and knew it was just a matter of time before it would crap out again. Shame on Samsung for making a product with a defective twin cooling system. Would like to be part of a class action lawsuit on this.

Two weeks ago we bought a Samsung DW80H933US dishwasher, the highest end model that Home Depot sold in our area. Two weeks ago. 14 days. Tonight it stopped with error code LE. Looked it up, it says theres a leak. We looked everywhere, it is not leaking. There is no way to clear this error code. We have to cut the power to the machine and request service. This is after TWO WEEKS. Did I mention that? I wish Id done some reading up on Samsungs dishwasher before we bought it. Fortunately (I suppose), we purchased a 4-year extended warranty, so that over the next five years we wont have to pay for the monthly repairs. Two weeks in I am also concerned that the door seems to resist closing for no apparent reason either. These seem to be really, really common complaints. What a piece of expensive junk. Well see how much Home Depot cares about their customers tomorrow when I go in.

In my case they falsely written that the refrigerator is repaired as the information is not accessible to customer and however repeated inquiry revealed the secret of their mischief. In approx May 2015 we purchased the Samsung RFF18HFENBSR French door refrig/bottom freezer from Home Depot. Our renovations got delayed so we did not start using it until August. I gave it one star because it looks and fits great but the following year (after the warranty was over) multiple things started happening. First no ice, then water in right crisper and water under both crispers freezing up. I went online and this has been a problem with Samsung refrigerators, many models, for years. I didnt call them because after researching they were not even returning calls to those that had warranties. All I can say to those shopping, absolutely do not purchase their refrigerators. This is a continuing problem. I have to call a repair guy but more annoying is it may possibly be a simple fix. There is a problem with the heating coil not keeping the water from freezing in a little hole. So their fix was a metal piece that doesnt quite reach the hole too short so it wasnt a fix after all. So water freezes in the hole, then no ice, water in right crisper and water under both crispers that freezes. It also creates frost in the freezer and food in the refrigerator freezing. But now I have to pay god knows how much money for a repair guy, empty everything out of my refrigerator again. Some repair guys are also saying you have to replace the thermostat piping or something like that. Dont buy this. I never do this but I have a refrigerator in my garage that is 12 years old and has never had a problem and Samsung although they were aware from previous models continued to just make it with the same problem knowing it still didnt fix it.

Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. When I called Samsung, they said that it is no longer under warranty. They fail to acknowledge the defect. I will never buy another product from Samsung-a company that makes terrible products and fails to acknowledge and repair their defects.

Had an error code SE on my (almost) 4 year old microwave. After reading about all the issues about this with other Samsung microwave that the code pertains to a bad touch pad, I decided to contact Samsung and see if they take responsibility for this. I contacted Samsung this morning and after less than 10 mins, an appointment was made to have a technician come out to my home and replace the pad under Samsung extended warranty on the pad. The only thing Samsung noted to me is that if its not the pad, I would have to pay for the cost of any repairs. I keep my fingers crossed that an honest technician will come out to do this repair. So, bottom line is that Samsung realizes that there is a problem with these pads with this SE error code and extended the warranty to have them replaced.

I went to go investigate it and found the -SE- error. From what I gathered online from different sites, it is a control board issue. It has been a problem since 2009. Heard grinding noise after 20 months of owning DMT800. I quickly opened the dishwasher door and got my phone and video recorded the sound when I restarted the dishwasher for the repairman. ALWAYS rinsed dishes before putting in dishwasher so I knew that it was not from food but sounded like plastic grinding. Thankfully I purchased 4 year contract with Lowes because Samsung warranty ran out as of 3/04/2013. Repairman said pump. Pump has plastic fins also so they break easy also. So the pump is being replaced. In my quest to find out why the grinding noise I noticed the plastic clips missing from the adjustable top rack holder (basket adjuster assembly). I went on the internet to find this issue was a VERY common issue. I figure that was the noise. Pump has come waiting for service. Pump is $217.00. Basket Adjuster Assembly Left & right Set $35.00 not sure if it will be covered by Lowes will find out. However, if not I will purchase and replace myself & also use wire ties that are industrial strength and can withstand heat to help support. Thinking of using an epoxy for hot water also to support. I do not want the pump to take a beating again because of Samsungs poor design. I did call Samsung and they claim that they have never had an issue or call (LOL), it was on me because I was out of warranty. Too bad for Samsung because I am in need of a refrigerator and front load washer and am very leery of their appliances with the attitude that I got. They would not even comp me the newly designed brackets or give me the parts number for the top shelf even though it was their poor design. If anyone is looking to start a Class Action Lawsuit on this product I am in. I just may contact an attorney myself and see if he would like to take them on. Too many customers with issues not to start one. Will also make sure I warn everyone of my friends on Facebook and ask them to pass it on and we all know how those numbers can go. Bottom line? Dont mess with a woman and her appliances, it will be trouble? Consequences? We will see what Lowes has to say and see if they may have some pull with Samsung as a dealer to get results. Got to follow every path I can to get results. Samsung may not like it but they just may meet a woman/mom with teeth that bite. :)

So sad. Built a beautiful home almost 2 years ago (June 2015). Was so excited to have a nice kitchen. We decided on a Samsung suite for the kitchen. The problems started with our dishwasher. Didnt clean the dishes and smelled of garbage every time you opened it. Had numerous tech calls to fix never was. My last straw was when they didnt show up for another appointment after taking an afternoon off from work. We replaced it with a Bosch after only 8 months. My microwave doesnt turn. It used to but we discovered (after warranty was up) that the plate feet were too big for the part on bottom of microwave to turn it. So the refrigerator. Small issue but the bottom deli tray cover comes off every single time you open the drawer. It is too small for the drawer.Called Samsung and they sent us another one. Same issue. Go into Best Buy and look at the floor model and it works and fits perfectly. Not sure why ours does that. Last month noticed that the same drawer was stuck. Pulled it out and there is a buildup of ice on bottom. Cleaned it all up and has happened again. I am sitting here with two coolers, a dorm refrigerator and my RV refrigerator filled and my Samsung unplugged and empty. I have read that this is an issue. Almost to point of just wanting a new refrigerator. I wish I had the money to replace right now. Dont want to deal with Samsung products again. (Also have a 55 Samsung flat screen and the picture turns off randomly and you have to shut it all down and restart).

Can you advise and tell where I can buy another one, as I know this is out of warranty now.

I bought Samsung electric range from Best Buy. When I put the range on self-cleaning after I just purchased it 3 months ago, the door locked and smoke came from the range and nothing worked. I called Samsung and they sent electronic tech out after 2 weeks but they could not fix the problem. They came back 2 more times. Total of 2 months of waiting for the stove to get fixed. Just recently the left stove did not work and I purchased it 1 year and 1 month, so I no longer have a warranty. I bought the most expensive range and it did not last long. Please stay away from Samsung ranges.

I would like to prevent others from going through the same disappointment (anger) of trying to obtain service on a Samsung refrigerator. When I bought the refrigerator 6 years ago at Lowes, I was told I would have service. After one week of many phone calls to Lowes and Samsung (a loss of all food in the freezer), I have a message on my phone today that they do not have a repair person in my area and I am to find my own person to repair my unit! Not to mention that a 6-year old refrigerator with minimal use is broken. I will never buy another Samsung product.

My Samsung French door fridge with drawer is only five years old and the fan in the top went out and the temperature raised to 54. No warranty so I called Sears (They were horrible!! Thats a whole other story). The parts are incredibly hard to get, it takes WEEKS!!! In the meantime our refrigerator is too warm! We lost lots of food and could only shop for one meal at a time! The next service man that came out told us we may as well replace it now rather than waste our money and that we were lucky to get 5 years out of it. That repairman told us to stay far away from Samsung appliances. We replaced it was a Maytag and are very happy we did.

The icemaker leaks water onto my floor. When the crushed ice is used some will stay in the tube and melt. This drops down and leaks water. The ice maker has been replaced twice and still does it. Also it freezes up and we have to call a repairman for that. It produced a loud noise at one time and we called a repairman to fix that. We have had 6 or 7 repair calls but since we purchased an extended warranty from Lowes we have not had to pay yet. We have had approximately 4 different companies to work on this product. We are extremely unhappy with the Samsung and do not recommend it to anyone.

The control panel went bad, and the unit (two years old, gently used) flashed an error message. Its a common display, from what I learned online. Samsung makes a microwave with oven lights and fan to fit over an oven but cant tolerate the heat and vapor that rises from the stove. Many, many of such units have suffered control panel failure. I called Samsung and outlined the problem. That was almost two weeks ago. The Samsung representative said I would receive a call within two days with information about who would repair the unit at no cost to me. The company would extend the warranty for this repair because of design flaws. Then, she said, I would receive a call within no more than two additional days from the repair company to set a date and time for the replacement. Ive received no calls from anybody about this problem. Im trying now to retrace my earlier call, and its frustrating. I want my microwave repaired, and Samsung is not cooperating after promising my satisfaction.

Samsung refrigerator (RF4267HARS) with middle drawer and then the bottom freezer compartment has been excellent and I am coming up to the five year mark owning it. The only frustration with the appliance is dispensing ice. When the glass is placed up against the paddle and pressed towards the fridge you can hear the ice auger turning but no ice is coming down the ice chute into your glass. Odd you would think. Then I would open up the fridge double doors and absolutely every time I would be greeted by ice cubes falling down all over the fridge ledge and all over my kitchen floor. No matter how many times I have told Samsung operators that the problem is the size of the ice cubes. The ice cubes get jammed up in the ice chute preventing other ice cubes from falling down the chute into the homeowners glass. A family member purchased an identical fridge six months ago and guess what the ice cubes are half the size. No issues ever with their fridge. A technician replaced the ice cube machine a week ago and the exact same sized ice cubes are being made and the jamming still occurs. This morning I opened up the fridge doors and ice started dropping out of the fridge onto my kitchen floor again. Warranty runs out at the end of 2018 and I cannot wait to sell this fridge. I will no longer purchase a fridge with a ice dispenser.

When we built our new house we decided to buy Samsung products at Sears. The first Samsung Fridge that we bought quit on the first day. This should have spoken volumes to us but we were too excited. The fridge was promptly replaced. We have had nothing but trouble with the fridge. Every 3 weeks we have to remove a significant amount of water from underneath the deli tray. Our ice maker will occasionally work and we cannot up or lower temperatures as the temp controls no longer work. Our strong recommendation if you are in the market for new appliances, especially a fridge, DONT buy Samsung. Youre simply buying JUNK that will be nothing but a headache for you!

I have Samsung three year old appliances - microwave, dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. The ice maker on my refrigerator is shot. My microwave got the dreaded 5E error. I checked out what it meant on the internet. Found a video for a quick fix. Tried that. It lasted two days now Im having problems with it beeping and telling me to set the power level and turn it on. The 5E code has to do with moisture affecting the display panel. If youre going to make an over the range microwave make it sturdier. Of course theres going to be steam from cooking going up in to the microwave. Samsung should repair this problem for no charge. Not happy at all with these appliances. I wish I would have stuck with Kenmore!! Thank you.

I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove
I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

Four years ago I purchased a Samsung Counter Depth Refrigerator. Last year the refrigerator quit, the repairman said the entire back was frozen. We surmised it was due to the ice maker being housed in the refrigerator (not the freezer), we defrosted it and I quit using the ice maker and turned it off. We use a countertop ice maker now. But lo and behold, it has done it again. This time I contacted Samsung who referred me to an authorized Repair person who ordered the parts to repair the refrigerator. It’s been a month now and I AM STILL WAITING!!!

I wish I had reviewed this fridge when it first became apparent at how bad it was. Might have saved some folks purchasing one. It is French Doors with bottom freezer, about 4-1/2 years old. The first thing that we noticed was at 1 year old, the stainless was spotted. We are 2 retired people, no kids here. Used stainless cleaner to no avail. Called Samsung, they said they dont warranty the stainless. 2nd thing was a flap on the door broke because we didnt always open or close the right door first...never knew until this happened, and figured it out. That was over $300. Now, in the last 9 months the ice maker has gone out 3 times. Had it fixed for about $250. Less than 3 months later it went out again. The repair company fixed it as a warranty issue. Now, 6 months later...out again. Waiting for an answer from the repair company, but they only guarantee a repair for 3 months, and dont know if Samsung will do anything. I will not pay for another ice maker. Will start over with another brand...never a Samsung. Anything!!! So disappointed!

We bought a Samsung model RF28HFEDBSR refrigerator through Home Depot for the princely sum of $ 2400.00, in May 2014. From day one the unit has made a super annoying, loud buzzing noise when the refrigerator part cools. We contacted Samsung repair and the operator had us hold the phone near the refrigerator so she could hear the noise. Wow, that doesnt sound right!, she said. Samsung sent a repairman from Willowset TV who arrived 3 hours late. He said the RPMs of the fan were normal but was not competent enough to diagnose the problem. Did I mention he reeked of body odor? Now we lie awake at night listening to a sound like a weed whacker coming from our new refrigerator. We are disgusted, to say the least. Called Samsung again yesterday and they said they would send another repairman. I asked where he was coming from and the operator said, Monterey, you live in California, right? No, I answered. We live in Connecticut, as I have told you three times now.

Model 9187, Samsung Microwave SE code - On 6/19/13, I found several complaints and videos of how to fix the SE code on-line. I dreaded a fight, but finally called Samsung on 6/11 and talked with Amanda who could not have been nicer. She acknowledged the issue, said theyd fix it, no charge (my micro was purchased 3/21/11 - no extended warranty) and told me someone from Quality Appliance in Houston would call. Audra from Quality called a couple of hours later, again, very pleasant and professional. They followed up, gave me an ETA and Michael came a little while ago and replaced the touch panel. Its all fine now. I really like my microwave and had missed it. The entire experience was most impressive. I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DD81-01549A_EN a little over a year and a half ago. It is the worst purchase I have ever made. The dishes do not come clean unless you wash them prior to putting them in the dishwasher (kind of defeats the purpose). If you have cereal bowls, forget about finding a good way to load them. The bottom rack tines are at an odd angle and hold some plates too close together. The silverware must be rinsed and loaded working end up, and dont put 2 spoons in the same bin. I followed all of the manufacturer recommendations for loading and running the piece of crap. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever used. A total waste of money. I should have spent a little more for a different brand. Will never buy Samsung again. Customer service said sorry, you must be loading it wrong. Dont waste your money.

We bought this refrigerator from LOWES in 2016 for just under $2600; we didnt know the icemaker had a problem until after the warranty expired because we didnt live in that house but for a few months of the year just before we retired. It froze up and the plastic bin cracked when we removed it from the freezer. The repairman replaced just about everything that could be replaced in the icemaker and we were charged $1170!!! Within 2 months of that expense, the thing froze up again. The repairman just left, didnt charge since we were within the 90-day period of the first repair. But he said Samsung told him they would not replace our refrigerator, they might give us a break on the price of another... What a load of rotten tomatoes!!! There should be a recall, and I should get my money back for having bought their defective product and for the expense of the repairs. The angst and inconvenience should be financially compensated for, too, but I am not holding my breath.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA - Due to an older house I needed to get a smaller refrigerator. It was hard to find due to all the constraints, size, height, and how far the doors could open. I was excited to find the Samsung French Door Refrigerator, because it fit with all the space constraints my home required. It was a new model so there wasnt any reviews available. Unlike my previous Samsung French Door, a larger version, that I had 7 years ago, this one makes cloudy ice. I just found out from a Samsung repair tech that this model will not make clear ice due to the way it makes ice. Also, because of some restrictions lifted on companies making refrigerators most newer models make loud noises, according to the research I found on the internet. My model sounds like someone in there is trying to get out by throwing a large rock around. It happens every 6 to 8 hours. It can wake me up from a sound sleep. I thought it was the ice maker, but I have turned it off and it still makes it. Samsung basically has made all kinds of excuses, but they havent done anything about it. Other Pros: Ive only had it since Nov 2014, going on 8 months. It so far, keeps my food cold and my freezer seems to be working fine. It has plenty of space for me. Had I known about the cloudy ice issue I may have looked into buying another brand.

This is the first and last time that I will write a review for a Samsung product, because I will never be purchasing one again. Until my last experience with Samsung, I believed that they were a good company with solid products. As a consumer, I expect my product to work as designed and for that manufacturer to stand behind whatever warranty may accompany that product; pretty simple. I have never actually taken the time to write anything like this and post it on the internet, but here is my story and I truly hope that it dissuades anyone from purchasing a Samsung product under the false assumption that you have the backing of the manufacturer if anything should go wrong with your product.I purchased my dishwasher (Model # DW80F600UTS) in mid April of 2014 from Lowes. I paid around $500 and for the money, it did the job. In February of 2015, less than a year after I purchased the unit, it started having problems. Like you might read on countless other reviews and forms, the smart auto and heavy lights would start flashing 10 minutes into the cycle, the dishwasher would drain, and the dishwasher would not clean the dishes. Upon investigating the issue, I discovered that this is an indication that there is a problem with the float switch. Again, simple problem, but with the number of issues related to this one topic, it is very clear that there is a defect in the dishwashers design. Here is a complete list of the calls I made to Samsung and the numerous challenges I encountered:February 18, 2014 - Called and described the problem. Samsung contacted an appliance service company (So Cal Tech, Inc.) in my area to address the issue. February 20, 2014 - Service center calls me to set an appointment to fix the issue once they receive 2 parts, the float switch and main board. Parts will be in in 2 days and we will be there to fix the dishwasher. February 26, 2014 - I call the service center because they have not called to set an appointment. The parts arent in yet, we will call when they arrive. March 2, 2014 - Service center calls and sets the appointment to come fix my dishwasher. March 5, 2014 - Repairman arrives. Extremely rude to my wife. Curses his company as he tells her that they only sent him 1 part he needs. Repairman leaves, dishwasher not functioning. I call the service center... We will have the part in in 2 days.March 9, 2014 - I call the service center because they have not called to set an appointment. The part isnt in yet, we will call when they arrive. March 16, 2014 - Part arrives, repair scheduled. March 19, 2014 - Repairman arrives, installs the main board. Dishwasher appears to run ok, but after the repair man leaves, it does the same thing. I call Samsung and I am told they need to fix the float switch again. I tell them that I am not going to accept that, so I am transferred to their executive customer service team. I explain the issue and they put it in review to have the unit replaced. I am promised that they will call back within 48 hours.March 26, 2014 - Instead of a call back from Samsung, I get another repair center. This time they tell me that I am going to be charged for the service. I say absolutely not, and that I will call Samsung. Again, I am transferred to the executive customer service team, who states they dont know why I wasnt called back and they couldnt find a note on the review in their system. Again, I am told that they are going to review the case for replacement and that I will hear back in 48 hours.April 2, 2014 - Samsung never calls back. I call again. Transferred to the executive customer service team. This time, I tell the nice lady on the other end of the phone that I am not going to accept a call back and that I wanted to speak to someone that could resolve this issue immediately. She talks over me for a minute, reciting the process that I have to follow, after which, she hangs up on me. I call back, enraged, transferred to the executive customer service team. Find out that the lady that just hung up on me has closed my pending issue ticket. I explain what I have been through, I am promised a call back from the supervisor of the executive customer service team.April 9, 2014 - Guess what, Samsung never called back. I call, get transferred to the executive customer service team and like an idiot, I allow them to do ANOTHER review. I ask the representative to take notes on the entire story. At the end, I ask what he has written down (there were several times I was on hold for him to put the notes in the system) and he hasnt recorded a single note. We go through it again, he reads it back to me. And I am PROMISED a call back in 48 hours.April 15, 2014 - Getting sick of this yet? I am. No call back from Samsung. What they did do, is have another service center call me and offer to come fix the dishwasher. Just as I am about the explode, they also inform me that I am out of warranty and that I will be charged if they come to fix it. April 22, 2014 - Now Im here. 20 hours on the phone with Samsung over a $500 dishwasher and all I ever wanted them was to stand behind their product. Thanks Samsung. Dishwasher is still not working and I am done spending my time on trying to get Samsung to do anything about it. If you read this and still buy an appliance from them, then I hope you spend a couple hundred extra bucks on an extended warranty... youre going to need it.

We purchased a Samsung Black Stainless, 4 door flex zone fridge. After being ordered it arrived May 27, 2016 for a new home that was being built. It was installed July 4, 2016 which was when we moved in and started using it. By August 2017, the ice maker completely malfunctioned. We had frozen solid icebergs all around the ice maker, no ice in the ice cube tray. Looked up troubleshooting in the manual, cleared all the built up icebergs and it worked for about 2 days before it completely froze up again. After trying for a couple of weeks we called a repair person which cost $80 for him to come to look at and possibly repair ice maker. He indicated that the ice maker needed to be replaced. In September we called Samsung support, they told us we had to call a Samsung approved repair person and provided us with a name of the company they approved and then I was told I be referring to the troubleshooting area in the manual in the future before contacting support (apparently if you feel you need support you shouldn’t call them). Anyway, called the approved repair company and they came out and said ice maker probably needed to be replaced but tried to seal the ice maker with weather stripping to see if it might have been warm air coming from the fridge that was causing the ice maker to malfunction. That didn’t work, again, within 2 days, everything was surrounded by frozen icebergs again so the repair people said they would contact Samsung to get parts to replace the defective ice maker. They also indicated that Samsung had admitted there was a design flaw in their icemakers that was causing them to fail. This repair company came on Nov. 15, 2017. It took 3 months for the parts to come in after according the repair company said they ‘had a struggle with Samsung”. They arrived on Feb. 14 with the parts and repaired the ice maker and handed us a bill for $614.00!!!! The defective ice maker has now cost us a total of $850.00!!! We had no forewarning from the repair company that it was going to cost this much. They had told us in Nov. that it wouldn’t be more than $300 so we were completely blindsided. We never would have agreed to have the ice maker repaired if we had known we were going to be charged another $614.00. I was very upset so contacted Samsung customer service. They asked for a copy of the receipt for the service, a copy of the receipt for the fridge, serial number, etc. I asked them to be reimbursed for the cost of the parts which was almost $500 of the $614 bill. Samsung responded back saying the fridge was past warranty and they would not reimburse me for anything. The fridge lasted 13 months, just long enough for Samsung to clear the warranty period and not have to take responsibility for their admittedly defective product. It appears it is reasonable to them that their fridges last for only a year before major malfunctions and repairs are required. Samsung in my opinion provides inferior, knowingly defective products and does not stand behind their products. Their customer service is poor and I will never, ever buy anything Samsung again. I would also like to add that I told Samsung customer service that we had purchased the fridge, gas range, washer and dryer. So we had been a good customer, purchasing several of their higher end products. They couldn’t care less. I would tell anyone considering Samsung anything to run as fast as they can in the other direction, stay away from Samsung at all costs. They are a company that supplies an inferior product, poor customer service and takes advantage of their customers by selling admittedly defective products, and then charging exorbitant prices for parts to repair them. Please warn people about how horrible this company is and to stay away from their products. We should not have had to pay $850.00 to repair a virtually brand new higher end refrigerator.

Very convenient to use, however the buttons that are on the front side seem to be a bit of problem when you get up against them, the oven lights starts up. Also, the stove control buttons are a bit confusing as they have temperatures on both sides of the button for two of the ranges. One if for low temperatures while the other is for higher temperatures. The oven is very convenient and cools very efficiently. Not a bad price for a range. The simpler the better!

This refrigerator was installed by the RV Company in our RV. After one trip, the refrigerator stopped cooling. I called Samsung and got nothing but a run around. It seems that there is not a repairman anywhere in our area. We now have a Refrigerator that wont cool and was only used two weeks. We dont have a receipt for this refrigerator because it was installed in the RV by the manufacturer. Samsung has a problem understanding that when you buy an RV, you dont get receipts for every item installed in them. Buyer be aware that Samsung supposedly does there on repair work but there may not be a service center in your area!!

I called a Samsung-authorized repair company to fix the ice maker in my 4-door refrigerator/freezer. The ice maker kept icing over and stopping. The technician was familiar with the problem because Samsung had sent out a service notice to the effect that this ice maker was defective in many of this model refrigerator. Although this is a known defect, Samsung does not support its product if the problem becomes evident after the 1-year warranty has expired. My refrigerator is 2 years old. I have to pay $450 in parts and labor to replace the part. When I called, Samsung refused to pay even for the parts because it is not their policy to do so. We purchased the oven in 2016 with a convection feature which we initially really liked & used the convection part almost exclusively. In 2019 I saw a flash of light which I thought was flames coming from the back of the stove. I immediately turned the Oven off & the flames disappeared. Since then we had 3 issues where the convection oven got much hotter than the temperature display indicated & burned the food. We had a repairman come out who determined that the oven temperature was 27 degrees hotter than what the temperature indicator showed. He adjusted the range to lower the temperature 27 degrees to match the range indicator. All of these incidents happened with the convection feature. We stopped using it & only used the regular baking feature. Four days later, my sister was baking a meatloaf at 350 degrees. 15 minutes before it should have been done, it looked like it was already done & before she could take it out of the oven a loud explosion occurred shattering the glass baking dish into pieces. Needless to say, we do not trust this range and will never buy another Samsung appliance!

I have contacted Samsung to report this issue. They wanted to send a tech out on our dime to check this problem out. I told them no way! This is clearly a manufacturing issue. The mold is between two pieces of plastic and you cannot get to it without destroying the icemaker. The ice machine is located in the fridge and you cannot get to the actual ice. We have found pieces of mold in our ice. This cannot be safe. Samsung customer service was by far rude and not wanting to really listen to our care about this issue.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator in Dec. 2014 and had nothing but problems with it. This month we finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool product, trashing the 2 1/2 year old Samsung. The ice maker gave us problems from day one. Trying to release a batch of ice manually we broke the flimsy handle. This was reason enough for Samsung service to decline the warranty obligation. For some time we just would not use the ice maker. Then we had a $300 repair. At the same time we had ongoing problems with water collecting in the vegetable bins. The fix by Samsung service was we will send somebody, meaning another $2-300 repair. This apparently is a very common Samsung problem. We cannot afford more costly service. Our regular appliance service person would not touch Samsung products. We know that Samsung makes good electronics (we happily own several of them) BUT NOT APPLIANCES!!!

WARNING: Buyer beware when purchasing Samsung home appliances. Within a couple of months of purchasing almost 2K of Samsung appliances; Dishwasher, stove and microwave the door on the microwave begun to melt. The cost to get new door was almost as much as the cost of a new microwave, Samsung denied warranty. The stove is horrible to use in every conceivable way. Their stainless steel is near impossible to clean and scratches easily. I purchased upgraded SS for fingerprint reduction, shouldnt have bothered. The dishwasher works intermittently at best then within a year the unit would not complete a wash/dry cycle. Worked around problem by manually running the pump, but eventually the sanitize light blinks rapidly would not reset without a hard reset at my electrical box. Now the machine will not complete a washing/drying cycle and I will be replacing. Troubleshooting guide says it is a drain problem. We do not have a drain problem, pump problem or leak problem as suggested by hundred of complaints on this companys dishwashers. Samsung response was not to respond at all. Many complaints I read online included multiple visits by repair people who are unable to fix this and other issues with Samsung appliances. The cost of their parts is so high that again replacement is cheaper in the near short time period. Many complaints online state that repair people used a shotgun approach replacing everything imaginable and within a few weeks or months the problems came back. Dont think the people who are complaining are a bunch of nut job, they are not. Samsung products are no longer on my list of products to buy. I have owned a lot of Samsung products but will never recommend or buy another one of their products until they own up to their problems. I am not holding my breath.

Samsung 800 service center said they would send a tech out again to fix. 2 weeks and 2 calls to the 800 and no response from anyone. I have spoken to your representative on numerous occasions regarding the quoted fridge (Samsung Fridge RS2530BWP) purchased Dec. 2/07. Again this unit has stopped working. Now my food is all spoiled. I was told by the repair company that it is the motherboard once again. This fridge has been a problem since just after the first year of purchase and you may check the log of my calls. My fridge was purchased in 2007. I purchased an extended warranty and this service co has now serviced my fridge 4 times. This warranty is now off also and now the fridge has quit completely leaving me to deal with an outside service company who say that it’s the motherboard again. The part has to be ordered and it takes 8-10 days or I can have it expressed at an extra $40 and it will be delivered 4-5 days.Awesome service for an essential appliance, wouldnt you agree? The fan has stopped working 2 times, a motherboard replaced one all just after the Samsung warranty was off, of course. Plus there are several large cracks in the plastic of the interior which Im told are merely cosmetic and there is no coverage for that. It was a very noisy fridge, banging and waking me up at night. To say Im not a satisfied Samsung customer is an understatement.Plus Ive again lost 3 fridges full of food which have to be replaced. I hope all of you will read these reviews and refuse to purchase a Samsung appliance ever. Im now forced to look for a new fridge and believe me, I will not ever purchase Samsung again.

I bought my fridge June 2010. It is a very large double door stainless steel model with deli tray, freezer on bottom and cost $2700 from Lowes. A few months ago, I noticed water on my floor, so first thing that came to mind was the kids are playing with water dispenser, so I locked it. That did not solve the problem so I was not sure of what to do since it was not a large amount of water. Then during my routine cleaning, I had a burst of energy, and decided to remove the deli tray completely and that is when I noticed a huge amount of water! I could not believe it! Where was it coming from? No visible leaks, cracks and nothing. I tried for weeks to find someone to come out, with no luck. I finally called Lowes and they sent someone from A&E who told me that my fridge was not properly leveled and water that is suppose to drain down is leaking forward. It popped me $216 to level my fridge. I was burned but thought it was better than $2000 for a new fridge. I checked it today (3 days have passed) and guess what? A huge puddle of water under the deli drawer! I called A&E and they said that they will come out, and waive the service fee but I will be responsible to order new parts. Are you kidding me? I just gave you $216! Never again will I buy Samsung. I wish I knew about this site before dropping big bucks on a big piece of **!

Samsung offered one time accommodation service to cover labor and parts with ticket# **. 5. Technicians from TWO different service centers stopped by and claimed the fix can’t be done. The reason from the first technician was that the kitchen floor needs to be re-modeled in order to pull the dishwasher out. He also stated that it would take him 2 hours to fix the leaking problem and he had no sufficient time to do the work (which makes no sense?). When I mentioned that there was no issue with the kitchen floor during the instillation process and during the first time Samsung came over to fix the leaking issue on 10/4/2020, the technician had no response and left.6. Another technician from a different service center stopped by about one week later and claimed that the damage is not under Samsung’s manufacturer warranty. In addition, he couldn’t explain what the root cause of leaking was. The cost estimate to fix the leaking problem by the second technician was also outrageous. As a customer, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher, used it for about 6 – 7 months, then started having leaking problems. We tried to get this fixed, but the leaking problem occurred again after about 14 months. Samsung then told the customer to contact the technician directly to get problem fixed, all at the customer’s own cost. I have dishwashers made by other manufacturers at my other properties and they still work great. It is worth noting that some of these non-Samsung dishwashers have been working for 15 years.

So I purchase 2 Samsung smooth top convection ovens July 27th 2017 for a small in home commercial kitchen. The use of these ovens would not exceed what any normal home would do in a year as my business is somewhat seasonal and a very small operation. In June of 2019 I noticed one of them not holding its temperature. It would be set at 350 and would actually be 405, or 215. I had a repair tech come out and after trying else we replaced the main brain. This sadly did not fix the issue. Then in August the other oven started doing the same thing. After exhausting every fix the repair technician said that there is nothing else to replace so maybe call Samsung and ask them to do something. After three months of being told they will get back to me with a resolution not once did they contact me back, as promised, until I got cross with them and demanded some kind of answer. Well there out is my little operation! I was told that even one week of use in a commercial setting voids all warranty and that I would have to just get them fixed. HOW!!!! The Samsung repair technician has already tried replacing everything. Never buy Samsung appliances. Just sayin.

We purchased a refrigerator on July 29 2017 MODEL RF26HFENDSR/AA and started having noise problems shortly thereafter. This purchase was for a property we were retiring to and we were not there all the time for the first 7 months. Once we moved in there we noticed loud banging noises coming from the fridge at random times. These noises were so loud they woke us in the night.I initially called Samsung about this in early June of 2018. They sent a technician out but the sound did not happen while he was here. As we were in a remote area it took over 4 weeks to get him to come out. After this I was constantly on the phone trying to find out what they would do next and they finally asked me to send them an audio file of the sound. Which I did. They in turn sent it to Samsung and Samsung tells me this was normal. I called them several times after that and then in Oct they refused to even talk to me as they said it was now not in warranty. At that time I pointed out that the problem was there before the warranty was out and they said it didnt matter it was not their problem now. At that point I called Lowes where I purchased the fridge as I had a 4 year extended warranty with them. They sent the same company out again and the Technician was here all of 10 minutes, changed a setting on the fridge and left. This did not solve the problem. After numerous calls to both Lowes and the repair company of Lake City furnishings in Williams lake they finally came back with an email from Samsung saying that the noise was something that happens to only a few fridges and will disappear after 1 or possibly more than 2 years. This is not an acceptable resolution to me and I feel I have wasted countless hours on the phone with Samsung, Lake City and Lowes to no proper resolution.

Unit continued to short cycle. Came out again said outdoor motherboard AND compressor overload were both bad...then outdoor blower motor was bad. They replaced all of those items. I have years of AC experience and told the KID that is not the problem. He leaves unit still short cycling so I finally called Manila again and told them MY diagnosis. After further discussion between themselves they agreed to send same KID out to replace the indoor thermistor. The KID damaged my casings on inside unit. Now unit is acting up again with about 3 weeks remaining on warranty. First, I must tell you this refrigerator was purchased for my 90-year old father who lived in the country by himself, 5 miles from any of his kids. It was purchased in 8/2011. Approximately one year later, it went into demo mode. Theres nothing in the book about it so I called Samsung. They said it had to be caused from a power surge and they told me to reset it, so I did. Approximately a month later, it did it again. This time, I did not call them. I reset it myself. On Oct. 31 of 2012, I had a knee replaced about three weeks after my dad called and said it went into demo mode again. My husband had to take me out there to reset it. It was on the weekend and we could not get a hold of Samsung, so I called my son-in-law who had had the same problems with his. He told me to unplug it and see if it would reset, which it did. It seems to work for a while. Again in Feb, it went into demo mode again. (When it does this, it is not working, no cold air.) Dad tried to reach us all day. Finally, he got a hold of us in the afternoon. The refrigerator had been off all day. My son-in-law went in the afternoon and turned the refrigerator back on. Samsung wont do anything because its been over a year. Lowes wont do anything because we did not buy the extended warranty. It has gone into demo once this month already. 1 1/2 years old and it is a pain in the butt for my whole family.

I have literally had a broken refrigerator, Samsung 4 door, broken down since July 5th. Today is Sept 12. When it went down, it was 14 months old. Samsung scheduled service for me with a big service company, Appliance Hospital, and after 6 trips to my home never fixed it. Samsung has indicated they would replace it with a new one. That was 2 weeks ago. As of today, No update, no phone call. Ive called Samsung, texted, cannot get an update. 2.5 MONTHS! I use a small beverage fridge and a cooler for produce. I spent $2,800 on that fridge. Unbelievable. Time for an attorney? Media? What am I supposed to do. I just want a refrigerator, that works. I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

This is my second horrible review of Samsung Refrigerators. I purchased a new side by side Samsung Refrigerator one year ago after having an old 28 year old GE Refrigerator that gave me no problems whatsoever. I purchased a 4 year warranty (what a waste of money). So the last time I complained about the scratches on the part where you fill your glass with water and ice and Samsung said that is cosmetic and nothing can be done. I suppose you should be using paper cups to fill your water instead of glass. The refrigerator already looks like it is about 20 years old. This time the large shelf in the middle of the refrigerator cracked for no apparent reason. I contacted Samsung and they again told me that this is not covered (what a surprise). I will never buy anything that has a Samsung name attached to it!!!

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

My refrigerator stopped working on 11-19-11. There was a lot of water on the floor and the refrigerator and freezer were both warm. I contacted Sears and was advised that someone would be out on 11-21-11 to repair. That did not happen. I called Sears again and a repair technician came out on 11-22-11. Said he replaced a filter and recharged with coolant. Told me should be cold in a couple of hours. At 4pm, it was still warm. I called Sears again. Repair technician came out on 11-23-11, told me there was a major leak in the cabin part of the refrigerator. He said they would order the part and it would be shipped directly to my home but of course that will not be until next week repair said they would be back on 12-1-11 to repair. I only had this refrigerator for six months. Its the day before Thanksgiving and I have no refrigerator. This is depressing.
