Samsung French Door Refrigerator - Our refrigerator is 6 months old and I noticed that a film appears in the bottom of our glasses when we use the ice and water from the refrigerator door. The film appears to float. I tried just using the water and then just getting a glass of ice and noticed the same film. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

We bought the Samsung over-the-counter microwave brand new in 2010. It worked very well and looked great. But it hasnt even lasted FIVE YEARS. 6 months ago the door latch broke; we repaired it ourselves with $75+ in parts. A month ago this started happening: when we open the microwave door, the unit turns ON and runs; only way to not cook my hand is to unplug it. Its headed to the recycle bin. There is no excuse for a product this expensive (retail $349 at Lowes) to last less than 5 years. No warranty that long is available. Will not *ever* look at Samsung brand for kitchen appliances again.

This is going to be good. So go to the bathroom, grab a drink, sit down and get comfortable. In January last year, I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, a TV along with a washer and dryer. The total of the purchase was close to $6,000. The refrigerator decided it was not going to dispense water at Thanksgiving. We called and scheduled an appointment for service. We were told it was the panel at the front of the fridge. I took a morning off work and waited for three and half hours only for the tech to turn up and look at the fridge and say it is not the panel. It is the circuit board at the back. They would return a couple of weeks later to replace the circuit board. When the tech was at my house, I asked him to look at my Samsung 55 LED TV. I had a red dot in the middle of the screen. I had called Samsung before and they said that was acceptable. I argued the point, that the TV did not look like it in the store! The tech took one look at the TV and said that is not right and to call and get them to fix it. I called again to Samsung and complained again. I was put through to the executive customer relations. They then said they would fix it! Right! We scheduled a service appointment for the refrigerator and the TV. The service company was a mess and could not get anything handled. After multiple calls to them, a tech arrived at the house the Saturday before Christmas. Three hours later, still working on the fridge, the tech reached the conclusion it was not the front panel, not the circuit board in the back, but a bad ground on the fridge. Then he was about to leave and my wife reminded him about the TV. The TV was removed from the wall and he put a new panel in it and left it on the floor. I said I would hang it up when I get home. Little did I know the TV was not tested. I put the TV on the wall, plugged it in and there was a big blue screen. Nothing! I called Samsung technical support, spoke to a very nice man and said he felt my pain and was amazed at what I have already been through as a customer.I called the service company and the owner then called me back and he said there was nothing he could do. I then explained that I know how the job should have been done and reminded him that techs should test their work before leaving! The conversation was just a bit embarrassing for him. I called Samsung again just after Christmas. (The fridge was working fine at this point.) I spoke to executive customer relations and we were promised a new TV. Great problem solved. Number of days went by again with no call to confirm; I finally called and was put through to executive customer relations. They told me that the approval had been denied. I asked why and why did it take me so long to find out why. I asked them to figure out why one person can say yes and the other say no and no reason why! I pushed and told them to call me back in an hour with an answer. They did and then I asked to speak to a supervisor and they could not and I asked if they could email me to confirm what they were going to do. They wanted to repair the TV. I said no due to the fact we have by this point spent hours on the phone with the TV and the fridge and the service company. They transferred me to another department, appliances. That did not make me happy. My wife filed a complaint with the Better Business. We have their attention now, I thought. They looked at the file and yes, they admitted to me their customer service has a few problems. I laughed and told them to be in my position. If I did this at my job, I would be fired. I also got a call from the guy in charge of repairs at Samsung. We had to let them fix the TV. We are done. We have taken enough time waiting, calling and taking time off work. No one could say here is a new TV. My wife and I decided to buy another TV (Sony) to use for temporary measure while we decided to have the TV repaired. By this time, it was the first part of January. The tech turned up, fixed the TV and it worked. I told him the full story and all he could do was shake his head. Even the company he works for was part of the problem. I then got a call from someone at Samsung asking if the TV was fixed and I spoke to a man late in the evening and explained that no customer should be put through the circus of what we have. He agreed on every point I made and was truly embarrassed that this had been such a nightmare.I know I have missed parts out on this like the multiple dropped calls and the fact that we never got a work order receipt for the work carried out by the service company! They did send us a $50 gift card at Best Buy for our troubles. We added up that it has cost us, a couple of days off work not to mention the hours on the phone to no avail. It is not the end. Now, it is the end of January and guess what! Yes, the fridge will not dispense the ice. I called again and asked for executive customer relations. I called on Thursday last week. I explained the previous repair and what a problem it was and they were going to call me within 48 hours. They were meant to call me and yes, that did not happen. I called again on Monday and stated I want a new fridge and to call me back with an answer. Forgot to mention 48 hours! Today, they called my wife and wanted to schedule a service on the fridge. So yet again, more time off work and more time wasted on the phone. Our next step is not going to be good. The senior staff at Samsung need to put down the crayons, stop crying and let go of the sippy cup, wipe their face off and get down to following up with customers. If they had to deal with this mess like I have, they would think a lot differently. Follow up is key.My company is one of the largest car manufactures in the world and it puts the customer first. We aim to make all our customers happy and brand loyalty is a must. Samsung, wake up and deal with customers in the right way. Executive customer relations is a joke. Just call it Piss Poor customer service. From basic telephone skills, dealing with one person, not running the customer around from person to person. Follow up, tech training, the list can go on. I will never buy another Samsung product in my life. Not even if you paid me.

The Grates on my Samsung stove have rubber mounts that hold them in place. Once the grates heat up the rubber mounts fall off, Now it’s dangerous because the grates slide all around. The grates were replaced by Samsung but in a short time the rubber mounts fell out again. Now it’s over year old... it’s a manufacture defect. Rubber and metal don’t work with heat. We can’t use our stove the way it is, Now what??? I would not recommend this stove to anyone.

My ICEMAKER on the French door models of Samsung has been terrible. So bad that its starting to rust the outer door where water has been dripping down from the ice dispenser on to the outer door. Called and they said it would cost me well over $300.00 to fix it. They didnt say anything about the rust on the door. Even though the warranty is up, this is crazy. We just had a service guy come out on yesterday about another issue with the TwinCooling Plus panel on the inside back wall. That was $309.00. Three hundred here and three hundred there adds up to a lot. Also the warranty on this is only for a year. Have a lot of Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. But this will make me think twice on Samsung.

I purchased a series of Samsung appliance just less than 2 years ago. They have all, every single one, had problems. The ice maker on the fridge has to be manually defrosted about every 3rd week. When it is working it drips water down the door making the door shelves unusable. The heat sensor on the oven was replaced once already and is now giving problems again, which requires me to pull out and unplug the unit after each time I use the oven. The dishwasher door no longer closes properly, so I have to pull it out and attach a clamp on each side to use it. In each case the problems started just as warranty expired. I have had multiple service calls (at my own cost) and in no case was the problem addressed. The fixes that I have for I learned from the internet. In summary, they are clearly poorly made, the service is non existent, and generally, I plan to make it my goal in life to spread the word about how crappy these appliances are.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I incorrectly thought this would mean quality. We plunked down $3K. Now that it does not work, No repair person will touch it because they cannot obtain replacement parts. You can only use their service center. The original Samsung service center that was recommended is now scheduling appointments for more than a month out. When I complained, they told me they would send me an email to get in touch with a different service center. The young lady that answered was trying her best, but without support from higher ups or Samsung what good is it? This service center has only has one technician Really??? I dont have a refrigerator, dont know if they can fix it or if the parts will be on the service person’s truck, or backordered, or... Still waiting... SAMSUNG WANTS TO SELL BUT DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THEY SELL, then they hold you captive with only their service center and availability of parts.

My husband and I purchased a suite of Samsung appliances in 2012 for our new home. Shortly after the refrigerator was installed and in use, we discovered a leaking problem in the right crisper drawer. We contacted Samsung who in turn sent a repairman to service the fridge and the problem seemed to be fixed until almost a year later. We have had three (3) separate repairmen come, all arranged by Samsung to assess the same leaking issue. The last repairman to come to our home to assess the problem, took pictures and sent onto Samsung.Samsung contacted us and said the fridge was defective and irreparable. Samsung offered us a depreciated refund of $266.30 and with this; we would have to completely empty the fridge for Samsung to pick up. The fridge cost $1,299 + taxes in 2012 and what was being offered was nowhere close to the cost of a new fridge. Letters and emails were exchanged and Samsung changed their offer to $500 but we would still need to prepare the fridge for Samsung to pick up.We did not accept their offer as we would be without a fridge and the cost of a new fridge was a lot more than what was being offered. Samsung said that was their final offer which is unacceptable. They have admitted the fridge is defective and all we want is a replacement of a similar fridge. Nothing more and nothing less. When purchasing any new appliances or products; they will not be from Samsung. This company does not stand behind their products and their customer service is very lacking.

Firstly, I wish I had read these Samsung stove reviews prior to my purchase. :( This stove got 4.5 stars on PC Richards site which is one of the reasons that I bought it. I purchased the Samsung NX58M6650W Gas Range in November of 2017. I purchased this stove solely for the price and way it looked as I am not a person that cooks a lot and barely do I use an oven. I was upgrading my kitchen and looking for a stainless steel stove to replace my old one. Its a very nice looking stove but obviously looks can be deceiving. After my 4th time using the oven, which was all day on Thanksgiving Day 2018, I noticed that the control panel was warped almost looking like it had melted. I called Samsung for repair and they gave me a courtesy extension my warranty (2 weeks out of warranty) and offered a free repair. In my eyes a barely used stove should not have any issues in just over 12 mos, but thats just me. I had my rinky Hotpoint Stove for 17 years and not ONE need for repair. Anyway the repairman came and fixed the stove. He replaced the old control panel which means removing around 20 screws un-wiring/detaching and re-wiring a new control panel. Also needs to be mentioned, the control panel on the stove is made of plastic! Now that can be a problem if your stove gets hot. Repair seemed successful but two days later, the timer isnt working. For reference, the timer is in the same place on the panel that warped after using the oven for several hours. Needless to say I am furious. Samsung insists on sending out another repairman, but I want this stove replaced (not with a Samsung if thats possible). If you read the reviews, you have no doubt that this stove is problematic in its design. I watched the repair, and with all the fine wiring on a plastic panel, how will there not be problems? Samsung has been giving me somewhat of a runaround and does not seem to stand behind their product. Im sure problems will continue to occur based on all of the reviews and research Ive done. I have been on the phone with them 5 times. I have another appointment for repair since they say that this is the best that they can do since I am now out of warranty. Im with the other reviewer that says Class Action. I will try to update this review after my next repair visit, but in the interim, this stove is sorely disappointing. Stay away from this stove.

I purchased a Samsung stove and Samsung refrigerator on November 25th. The stove was on back order, so I would have to wait until January 7th for delivery. The 7th came and no one showed up. No phone call. Nothing. I call and get their customer service. The delivery has been changed to the 13th because the stove was on back order. They reset the delivery date without contacting me. I told them I could not take delivery on that date and they should have contacted me on what date would be good for me. I made the date for the 15th instead. Today is the 15th and I called early in the morning to make sure they were coming. They again changed the date to the 22th. When I complained to them that they make dates and do not honor them, the customer service operator just said I am just the messenger and there is nothing I can do. I asked for a manager but the manager was too busy and could not talk to me. They would call me back. They never did. I called back and finally got a manager. There was no offer of help. No offering to make this right. They blew me off. I asked them at least deliver the refrigerator but they said if they gave me the refrigerator then my stove order would be cancelled. There was no customer service at this company. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I am sorry I bought this one.

Had some noise. Wasnt terrible. More like a low hum. Water started to pool in the crisper drawers. Found the problem and resolution on YouTube. Time consuming but moderately easy. This Samsung Range model (NE63T8711SG/AA) was purchased in February. Loaded with features as well as the oven compartment having an air fryer and dehydrator. 3 weeks after we purchased the $2000.00 range my wife decided to use the Air Fryer to make wings. The fan in the oven blew grease all over the oven coating the entire enamel surface with grease and the entire house was engulfed in smoke. Took us three days to clean off the caked on grease. Needless to say we will never use the Air Fry feature again. A few days later we tried to make a spaghetti dish. Not wanting to have caked on mess on the bottom we put aluminum in the oven. The oven melted the aluminum and is fused to the enamel surface of the oven. We have tried everything to get it off. Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. Besides this problem we have found that the burner knobs are so touchy that barely bumping them or leaning against the oven slightly will turn the burners on. The burners protrude past the range. Very dangerous! Beware of this oven!

We purchased a complete set of the black stainless appliances. After 14 months the black finish on the stove began flaking off. I contacted Samsung only to learn my appliances were out of warranty. I was informed that even if they werent, it is a cosmetic issue and thus would not be covered. They offered to send a rep at my expense for an estimate of cost which I would have to pay. They admitted it is not what they feel is acceptable quality, but refused to take ownership for the repair. Since, there is additional flaking on the range, the microwave and the fridge. Bad Samsung!

Refrigerator Model # RF28HMEDBSR - have had many issues with water leaking, first on the left side, and then now also water coming out on the front side. I put rags around the bottom of the fridge so my family does not slip and fall as I have slipped already walking to the kitchen in the middle of the night. The water is coming out more and more, have to replace the rags every few hours to prevent accidents. I called Samsung for help and they emailed me a pdf file instructing me how to make sure the fridge is level. There was nothing wrong with it being level and its still leaking worse than ever. Called Samsung back and they said they can refer me to a company that can repair my fridge. Samsung only warranties the fridge for one year, after that I have to pay for labor and parts to repair this issue. I researched online and found that this is a common issue with other Samsung Refrigerators. Here is the link for the class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for selling their defective product. **. Repair company charges $100 for diagnostic. Then we wait for them to order the parts (Temp sensor, Assembly Cover Evap and Leakage Kit) which costs over $125 plus more labor charges for them to install it. And we are not sure this will even resolve the problem. Stay away from Samsung appliances. I also have a Samsung stove that all the knobs have broken off. Samsung will charge you over $50 per knob to replace them. Pieces of junk, faulty appliances, Samsung should not sell their defective products to consumers.

When redoing my kitchen, I wanted a counter depth refrigerator but only have a 30+ opening. What I found is that Samsung is the only manufacturer offering this under $2000.00. Yes you can buy a Sub-Zero for $7k or a Liebherr for $4k but you also need over 70 in height which I do not have. I am not the only one in this situation. My sister recently faced the same problem, along with 3 other shoppers in the showroom... Right from the start there were problems; food and beverages freezing in the refrigerator, ice buildup and water in and under the crisper bins, water dripping on the floor, crushed ice chips rather than cubes. Repaired once with a new control they said was a design defect, but out of warranty so you are on your own. Now the ice maker has stopped working entirely, the freezing water is back in the fridge and on the floor and the ice cream is melting in the freezer. My friend also has this unit in white. She has the paint peeling off the handles, the same freezing/dripping water problems and ice maker problems. Not everyone has a huge kitchen where they have many choices for counter depth machines. Why are manufacturers ignoring this market? I understand the small kitchen accounts for 30% of homes and apartments in the USA. I am waiting for the repairman once again today... This Samsung is a piece of garbage! Dont buy it. Wish I had the $ for the subzero... but then again Subzero would be a better investment if I have to buy this Samsung crap every few years...

Bought this piece of crap French door bottom pullout freezer refrigerator made by Samsung with water and ice less than 2 years ago for $3000! Ive had 4 repair visits and I waited a 5th time yesterday with a no service show!!! Im frustrated because I have two small kids and keep having to throw away a ton of food EVERY TIME fridge dies. Ice builds up on back plate of fridge and water stops working! I wish people would get together and form a class action lawsuit so Samsung would be forced to refund all of our money!!! And stop making these useless refrigerators!

Ok, this is a very honest review of an expensive Samsung Refrigerator, the purpose of this review is to ensure that people do not face the same harassment and cheat at the hands of Samsung and fault prodicts that we did. If you dont want to read the review, just know that never buy Samsung Refrigerators which are high end Models as they dont have the support team or the resources to sort out any problem, remember its more a warning to the discerning buyers rather than a review. So to cut the story short, we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with Ice Maker in September 2017. Towards the end of 2018 the Ice maker stopped working and sadly after 7 complaints and paying almost close to INR 12000.00, we are still sitting with the same problem and no one now responds as they dont know what is the problem. We have knocked on all doors but to no avail and still no one bothers to understand the problem. Sir, we have escalated the problem to the highest level, is the standard response is basically inaction post that.Guys, the quality for a high end refrigerator is really bad, there are a number of recurring problems which are magnified by the fact Samsung has no support or product training for its field service personnel for high end models so please refrain. Hope this saves people from the agony we are facing after spending a fortune on a refrigerator!

After 1 year the unit failed keypad locked out. Keypad unit was replaced. After 3 months the problem returned. Finally I fixed it by carefully painting the contacts on the ribbon cable with conductive silver paint. The ribbon cables used by Samsung are of the lowest possible quality and quickly oxidize in the Environmental above the stove.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator mid-March 2022. Was delivered after a few days. The refrigeration was not level. I reported it and technicians came a few later and tried to fix the problem but in vain. They took some pics and said nothing could be done and will revert back to me. Up to now there is no news. I also notice that there is a dent on the freezer door. When I reported it, the seller said its too late now. I should have reported it on Day 1. The after sale service is lousy. I wish I read the reviews before buying my refrigerator. I wonder what will be the outcome. To tell you the truth, I am not optimistic at all.

We bought a Samsung range NE595R1ABSR in July 2012 when we were renovating our kitchen. We also bought a Samsung refrigerator and above stove microwave. We arent happy with any of these appliances, but the range is a safety hazard. The first incident happened when we had several guests for dinner. My husband and I were cooking and suddenly I felt an electrical shock and heard a loud noise and the electricity for the whole house went out. The Samsung tech didnt find anything wrong. I was scared to use the stove after that, but started using it again. A few months later I was just warming up something on low heat and when I touched the control knob it gave me a jolt, made a popping noise and the stove shut down completely. My husband had to reset the breaker, but I wont use that burner again or touch that knob. Samsung now says it isnt covered under its manufacturing warranty, but I have an extended warranty with the store of purchase. Although, I think Samsung should be responsible because they knew about it within a few months after I purchased it and they did nothing except tell me it was perfectly safe and nothing was wrong with it. I really dont feel safe with this stove and want my husband to put it in the garage. It also has a problem regulating the heat. I can never adjust it properly to cook food evenly. The burners just ignore the temp control and heat will go up and down erratically. The oven is the worst one Ive ever used. I used to love to cook, but now I really hate it.

We purchased our Samsung electric induction range in May, 2015. Within months of purchase we needed a service call. (Our last range - certainly not a Samsung - lasted over 20 years without requiring service.) We decided to purchase an extended warranty, which supposedly expires either May 18, 2018 or August 18, 2018 - certificate states former, person on phone said latter. I asked him to confirm, and to let me know cost of extending for another year, since I do not trust this product, and repairs and parts are expensive. Without going into a further list of complaints, suffice it to say that I had to call three times - kept disconnecting (and these folks manufacture and sell phones) - they also ask for customers phone number at beginning of conversation! - and the website is sales-driven, so I was unable to purchase additional extended warranty online. I could go on, but I will stop here - this company has already wasted too much of my time! I encourage anyone who is considering a Samsung product to reconsider!

I bought a Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave from Lowes in February 2010. I just found out I need the keypad replaced. The warranty ran out in February. I called Samsung and they said there is nothing they can do because the warranty has expired. They have already been out once while the microwave was still under warranty. The cost of the repair is about $260. I tried to explain to them that even though the microwave is no longer under warranty, I would think a $400 microwave would last longer than 18 months. She said I am eligible for a new one if they have to fix the same issue twice within a year. That doesnt really matter to me since I would have to pay to have it fixed twice. She didnt understand this concept and could not get past the fact that the warranty had expired. Now I have 2 options: get it fixed or buy a new one. I would just like for a company for once to stand behind their product. I dont think an 18 month life expectancy is what they had in mind. Especially since the last cheap microwave I had lasted 15 years without incident.

The dishwasher has NEVER cleaned the dishes well. You have to wash them before you put them in the dishwasher. A repairman came out to fix it under warranty after a month and could not find anything wrong with it. It leaves food on the dishes and silverware. It has features similar to others of this price range, but they arent labeled very well and you are left wondering if you did something wrong to make the dishwasher clean so poorly. Normal dishwasher size. I would never buy a Samsung product again, whether it was a phone, a TV, dishwasher, anything.

I truly was shocked a thief not fixing his saving me so called money. Should have known when I asked for a receipt and he said they would mail it to me. For 220. Vann snapped the computer ice maker and did not wait even long enough to see if ice maker worked. It did not.Plus Vann said he would fix my ice maker on my Whirlpool. Supposedly wrote down info. He has never returned to put in the new ice maker I bought on the Samsung and never came on Whirlpool. Even told him to order parts. He vanished and I did not turn him in. I waited for receipt of my payment. Never came. Wake up Louies. That Vann guy is ruining your good recommendation I was given by one of your customers. Obviously they had an honest employee of yours to service their appliance. Samsung you suck. Worst product I ever bought. That is why I had ask to fix a 10 year old Whirlpool. Two delivered within 30 days, and both had a computer issue: I purchased the 25.6 cubic foot French door Samsung refrigerator in November 2012. I had been told by salesmen at two different stores that Samsung was the best refrigerator you could buy. I took their word for it and stopped looking at any other brands. When my fridge was delivered and set up, the delivery man said he was pushing the power freeze button to cool it off quickly so I could put my food back in. He mentioned that it would go off on its own once it had cooled down. I noticed that it stayed on -8 degrees for day. I kept thinking there was a problem with the freezer temperature setting. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that if I unplugged it and plugged it back it, that would take care of the problem. Instead, it plummeted to -8 again, although the freezer was set on 0. I finally figured out that the power freeze button was not turning itself off like it should. Samsung says it should stay on approximately 1 1/2 hour then shut off. Feeling like I had purchased a lemon, I requested a different one. The store very graciously brought out another new refrigerator. After the delivery men left, the first thing I did was push power freeze to see what happened. Would you believe that it also never went off? Wondering if other people had experienced the same thing, I searched on the internet and found this forum. I am so grateful to have found out the problems that exist with Samsung refrigerators before my 30 days are up. I now have 5 days left to request it to be picked up and my money returned. I have also talked with a few servicemen who have told me that they would never own a Samsung. I will say that the look and feel of the Samsung is wonderful. I dont think it will be possible to find any other brand that I like better as far as the inside set up, durable feeling of the shelves and bins; but looking pretty isnt worth anything if it isnt reliable.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher a little over a year ago from Best Buy. Within the year, the dishwasher began having issues. It would stop running and had flashing lights displayed. After terrible customer service and multiple delays, Samsung set me up with a warranty service provider who fixed the issue. Within two months, the same issue is happening. In contacting Samsung, they are advising that since its past the 1 year warranty, there is nothing they can do. Even though its the same issue they already had fixed. Additionally, they offer terrible customer service. I spoke with three different departments (most out of the country) for over an hour in total, only to get no resolution. Samsung is a terrible choice for a stove- we bought a high end stove in Dec 2009 and now the inner burner of the triple burner is not working. The replacement burner is no longer being made so the entire appliance (true convection, warming drawer costed $1800 dollars) is useless. The fact that Samsung is aware that burners crack over time, and they dont make them is absurd. Its like buying a car that has obsolete parts in less than 9 years- this stove burner broke 6 months ago. I am appalled and should add that many appliance technicians dont even service Samsung- bad reputation regarding replacement parts. Dont buy Samsung.

They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. I purchased a set of 4 Samsung kitchen appliance in August. Shortly we found out that the food in the refrigerator freezes and the freezer’s ice maker stopped dispensing ice. Since it was 2 weeks since we bought it, I went to the Home Depot where we bought them to exchange it, but they stated that they will only return or exchange on the first three days and that we have to contact Samsung to repair it which it didn’t make me happy to hear that knowing that they don’t stand behind the products they sell. The manager said if Samsung attempts to fix it three times and the issue still not fixed then they will change it. So, I called Samsung and they started a ticket. Since then, it has been 2 months and several trips by the Samsung’s repairman, they were able to fix the ice maker, but the fridge still freezes the food and now when opening and closing the door the whole fridge makes a loud squeaking sound. On the last trip, the repairman contacted Samsung and stated that they have changed all parts they could, and the issue is still there. Samsung viewed the temperature difference and frozen food through a video conference with the repairman. They stated that it is the way that fridge is designed and do not put food in the back of refrigerator. I could not believe what I heard, and the repairman stated that he has done what he could. He wrote the report and left. In disbelief, I called Samsung customer service. The person helping me could not even access the ticket number to see the history and kept on trying to schedule a repair. When I asked to speak to a manager, somehow, she found a way to view the repair history and stated that she is noting the issue and a manager from the refund and exchange will contact me on Monday. So far no one has contacted me. We have been a Samsung family so far from our phones to TV, appliance etc. but starting to look into other manufacturers as the product quality and service is not there anymore. I hope they resolve this issue soon as possible as I cannot use my brand-new refrigerator. I try not to put food in it, because I have to through them away after a day.

Lately when I put something into it, as soon as I close the door, the light inside it comes on and the turntable starts spinning. It does not stop if I press the stop/clear button. The only way to stop it is to open the door. If I press the stop/clear button while the door is open it does nothing, as the unit starts up again as soon as I close the door. The ONLY thing that stops this is if I open the door, press the 1 {1 second} button, close the door, and then press start. The unit then cooks for 1 second, and finally shuts off.

We purchased a Samsung French-door refrigerator two years ago. After the first year, water started accumulating beneath the lower drawer and freezing, making the drawer increasingly hard to slide in/out. I have emailed Samsungs customer service department twice with specific details of the issue (model#, serial#). I have gotten zero reply except for spam marketing messages, since they now have my email address. We finally called their local authorized service (Asian-owned) and described the problem, and they immediately knew the fix -- a defective water valve on rear of refrigerator. Bought 3-Door Refrigerator/Freezer (RFG299AARS). The plastic part behind the freezer handle broke. Samsung sent wrong part to replace it and said they had discontinued the item. Couldnt find anything that wasnt generic and had to be modified to fit the unit. The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? BEST ADVICE WE CAN GIVE IS DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! Bad design and poor to NO customer service. HERE IS OUR STORY: After 3 months refrigerator stopped cooling. Door said 36 degrees inside was 50 degrees. Called customer service and they said they could not get anyone out for 2 weeks. So milk products spoiled first and then other food stuffs if we did not eat it quickly.Tech made some sensor repairs which did not fix the problem. Called back in a week and it took a week to get a tech out this time. More repairs and he had to order another part. 2 weeks later tech made final repair and the refrig worked for 6 months and then started to not cool again. We called and said this was the 3rd time it failed and we wanted our money back. Take the refrig and give us our money back. That was Sept 2013. It is now Feb 2014 and have called almost weekly which is a minimum of 30 to 45 min on the phone ea time repeating the same information over and over, sent their required documentation in 2 times and ea time they say it will be reviewed and someone will call.NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED TO CLOSE THIS OUT!!! Oh, they did a very sneaky trick of not closing the ticket out after each repair, even though they DID DO 3 DIFFERENT REPAIRS. Customer service said that this was in effect only one repair for the same problem, but I watch and I know they did 3 different repairs to try and fix the same problem, not cooling in the freezer and in the refrig part. We have even tried getting the company we bought it from to help but they cannot get SAMSUNG to address it. So we had to buy another refrig in middle of December 2013 and push the junk Samsung one over to the side.

There are only certain repair companies that are allowed by Samsung to repair their appliances and some will not repair the appliance if its under warranty. However they would just be the same cheap plastic knobs that will break again. Also, the middle griddle sounds like a good idea but you cant use any of the elements when you are using the griddle.

I purchased 3 #Samsung appliances from a BIG Box Store #LOWES. DO NOT DO THAT, they do NOT service their appliances. ALL 3 pieces (which one has been in use LESS than 8 weeks) have a malfunction, from NOT working AT all, to the electronics board on the stove/oven working on & off. The manufacturer expects me to wait up to 2 weeks for repair service. OR I can PAY for the repair myself they said. These appliances have not been in use for 4 months yet & they do NOT WORK properly. LOWES only honors returns for 90 days, I am 20 some days too late, & #LOWES will not service them either, BUT I STILL HAVE to PAY LOWES for broken appliances. Their CS sucks! They could care less they sold me some lemons. The appliance repair company 15 minutes from me, will NOT service the appliances because they said #Samsung will NOT PAY THEM enough to cover their costs, UNACCEPTABLE! DO NOT BUY #Samsung appliances.

As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowes. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Then the ice maker started acting up and I had to have it repaired about every 3 months until they deemed the unit defective but the repairman had told me several occasions that he come that he had prepared multitude of the exact same problem the ice maker in that exact same unit. So I tell Samsung that I really dont want to get the same unit and they you know I had been originally told that repair place it was something better. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. Now Im being told that I have to take the $1,800 that I paid for it which I cant replace it for because its not on sale right now and pretty much eat it even though I just bought two other matching Samsung appliances. I am pretty furious and I hope that this gets resolved.

STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES! In 2015, we installed Samsung appliances in our kitchen in conjunction with an extensive remodel. Worse move we ever made. Boy do I wish we could turn back the clock. The dishwasher failed 2 months after we installed it, and we literally had to give up our first-born child to get a replacement unit even though it was still within the 1 year warranty. Next, the element in the oven failed (3 times to date) as well as the control board which set us back $250. The microwave has always had a mind of its own, and will often beep and turn lights on and off during the middle of the night. Since it still seems to work, we are leaving it alone. Finally, the ice-maker in the refrigerator door freezes up and causes a mess, and needs to be defrosted once a month. Apparently, this is a very common problem with Samsung refrigerators. Another reason to stay away from this product. Amazingly enough, we contacted Samsung no less than 10 times regarding these issues and the response has always been your appliances are out of warranty, too bad so sad. If you are planning on purchasing Samsung appliances, I would highly recommended you do your research first and go with another brand! I for one will NEVER buy their products again.

We bought a Samsung gas stove about 2 years ago for about $1200. Today we found out that we will have a nearly $300 repair bill for a new igniter in the oven. It seems that because we used the oven every day one or two times, the igniter was burned out. This is just incomprehensible to us! I also dont like the burners on top of the stove. Two are large burners with lots of BTUs. Both, one more than the other, send flames around even the biggest pot I own. (Think huge stock pot and a large 12 frying pan.) What good are BTUs if you always have the burner on slightly over medium even to heat water for pasta. This stove is very attractive, BUT it is all show and no go!

My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues month
My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues months after I purchased. The panel has been replaced about 4 or 5 times and continued to have issues like beeping for no reason, lights on and off without being touched and going out for weeks and returning back to life after weeks of not working. I have made plenty of phone calls about 40 between Samsung and their technicians with little luck. At times they closed my file just because and i would have to start the process all over again. Since my microwave has completely stopped working in August 2014 they said they would fix and came out 3 times to diagnose the same issue but never fixed it. I was told by tech he was going to order parts and be back to fix, and never did. It was a lie. They called me 3 other times after that because they wanted to diagnose it again. That makes no sense, but they claim that is the process. I complained with BBB, and Samsung now wants the original purchase receipt that I had already showed the technician in 2012. Since I dont have it they want to partially reimburse me for owning it all this time. Whos fault is that? Not mine. If Samsung would have accepted my product was defective from the beginning I would not have owned it for so long. How can the people put an end to this defective product. They should get sued or make them recall their product. I am tired of Samsung and they should be held accountable for selling faulty products.

We bought our refrigerator about 4 yrs. ago, and have had nothing but problems from day one. The ice machine broke twice. The refrigerator froze up and filled with ice in the back, and had to be serviced. The water dispenser broke. The fridge fan broke. Now the freezer is out. It was under warranty at first, so all the repairs were taken care of. However, now the warranty has expired, and I couldnt get the company to extend it. So, we are having to pay for this stuff. Searching the internet has shown that my problems are not unique to us. It is a problem others have had, and there is a lawsuit going on. How disgusted that makes us. Samsung customer service reps are clueless, and of no help. I will not buy anything from Samsung again. Too bad they charge an arm and a leg for theyre junk!

My DMR78AHS Samsung Dishwasher was purchased Feb 2011. It needed its first repair in March 2012 (one month after the warranty was up) to the tune of $158 due to the tabs breaking on the upper rack and getting down in the motor. Last Friday (Feb 2014) the exact same thing happened but this time the repairman said it was going to cost me $375 plus tax for new gaskets and pump plus labor. I said no way and he still charged me $109.15 for the service call, etc. I spoke with Samsung this morning and they put me through to SEVEN different people. The last one said I will hear the answer from upper management in 24 to 48 hours. I am disabled and on disability from work (60-years-old) and cannot afford all of this happening to me! I still was saving for the fridge and stove - forget that now!! This model should have been recalled! The net is FULL of people all having the same problem with the 5E error flash due to the tabs breaking off. I am so upset!!!!! :( Is there a class action suit for this problem in Canada?

My husband purchased the whole kitchen group less the dishwasher from HH Gregg before they went belly up in 6/2017 with a 5 year warranty ($500) EXTRA! The icemaker stopped producing ice in Oct 2017. Called warranty dept. They sent out tech and he thawed out the underneath of the icemaker. Stated there was no replacement at the time. We could deal with it and hoped it fixed it. In 2018, it started the same thing, NO ICE and frozen up again. The warranty dept sent techs out on 3 different occasions that year, still NOT WORKING properly. The warranty dept said there was nothing else they could do and we would be getting a refund check in the mail.We received a check for $1400 from Samsung this year, called and asked why not a full refund, were told the techs that had been sent the 4 trips to REPAIR totaled the balance of the total cost of $2500 we originally paid for the refrigerator. This is a beautiful Black Stainless 4 door. I totally loved it from the start but I HATE IT NOW AND WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANOTHER SAMSUNG ITEM! So we lost out on over $1000 and still have a broken refrigerator!

Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HA. I am so upset with my refrigerator. My husband and I had our LG refrigerator, which was purchased in 2010, replaced with the Samsung one after we noticed that the inside cabinet was cracking all across the unit. We reviewed the reviews at the time the Samsung fridge was considered... We found great reviews...however, our experience has been nothing but. Our ice maker sticks and has water dripping off of the back, causing it to freeze over, the left side freezer door keeps freezing over with water causing it not to stick to the unit upon closing. We have had the back freezer wall unit replaced, the freezer door rubber replaced, the ice maker parts replaced, and guess what? It is still experiencing the same issues. I am at my wits end right now. I am currently on the phone with Samsung again...waiting for customer service... Guess I will be waiting for another hour for someone to come to the line. I am frustrated because a unit this expensive should not have this many problems this soon. I thought Samsung was a good product but I may have to reconsider this thought. Repairmen are aggravated and so is my husband. Why are these units freezing up? I just dont understand this!!! Oh wait... I almost forgot... the snack drawer control panel had to be replaced right after I received the unit and the doors have not closed properly since about that same time as well. I called Samsung about this problem, and they said that it should close properly and that they could not tell me why it was not doing so. A repairman came out and said that screws were missing. Called them back to asked for the screws to be sent to me. They wanted to charge me and said shortly thereafter, that they could not tell me which screws were missing. I needed to tell them information so that they could find out from a third party manufacturer... and yes, I am still on hold for a representative to come on the line. I am beyond done with this company... first it was their phones, then their washers, now the refrigerators and after all this typing, they just hung up the phone on me... Go figure!

We installed a Samsung SMH9187 over cook top microwave in August 2009. I liked the 5 speed fan. The low speed was quieter than others at low speed. Controls stopped working August 2012 so I replaced membrane touch pad - a 3 year life. Now May 2013 (0.75 years later) and no response from touch pad. I just solved the problem. The problem of lack of response to control pad (a membrane switch) was to separate two sections of the control pad cable. The membrane switch type control panel was a film cable that connects to the circuit board. A 7-wire piece folds back on the cable, causing confusion for the control system on the PC board. The solution was to insert a small rolled up paper tube to separate the two cable sections. To test this I removed the paper tube and clipped the cable pieces tightly together. The controls became unresponsive. Separating the cable sections again restored function. This is a quirk in the Samsung design. It may have been unnecessary to replace the first membrane switch ($19). When the new switch was installed, by chance the two cable pieces were separated just enough to work. Then over time they moved together, initially causing some problems, then later total non-function. This problem may cause one to push hard on the buttons to make it work, possibly damaging the switch.Step by Step Instructions: 1. Unplug microwave for safety; 2. Remove 2 vent cover retaining screws from top front of microwave; 3. Push vent cover left to unhook and remove; 4. Remove screw on top of control panel box; 5. Push control panel box up to unhook and remove. No need to disconnect anything; 6. Insert a rolled up tube of paper 2 to 3 between folded back 7-connector piece and the main cable; 7. Re-install control box and test. Then re-install vent cover.Im amazed at all these problems people are having. One would think Samsung would help, but it seems they hide behind warranty is up so call a repairperson. Our last phone purchase was Nokia, not a Samsung, as I have lost faith in the brand.

I called Lowes for service and they arrived three days later. The freezer quit cooling and also the refrigerators 4 compartment unit. They said it was low on freon, but problem is it takes 4 to 8 hours to cool and freeze. 12 hours after done it finally got to proper temps (-2 and 38). 6 hours later I unplugged it to move back where it was and when I plugged back in, the temp on the freezer went to 52 degrees and refrigerator to 52 degrees. After two hours the refrigerator is back to 38 degrees. Freezer is still 52 degrees. This doesnt sound like a good scenario because if the power goes off, it will do it again which everything in the freezer will thaw.

I bought the Samsung dual flex because of the flex zones which seemed amazing. Well, let me tell you, the thing is very difficult to use. No more just turning the knob and having the oven on. Everything requires several steps which is frustrating when you are busy cooking and dont have a whole minute to program the oven. It seems petty until you are doing it.Worse is the lack of quality. My previous range was a 30 year old JennAir. A burner went out and the repair was $120. I should have repaired it. This Samsung is junk. We only cook 1-2 times per week with the stove (have an electric pressure cooker and infrawave we use a lot) and my son was trying to turn on the burner and it made a loud pop, the lights in the house flickered and it tripped the 50 amp breaker! I called Samsung right away. Their service center is in Compton, that Compton, and their service people treat you like you would expect to be treated in Compton based on the citys reputation. The guy told me to unplug the stove. I told him it would be a minute because I put a silicone bead between the stove and the counter so spills dont get under my stove and I would need a minute to razor that before moving the stove. The guy told me THAT was what broke the stove. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with sealing the stove and counter to stop the mess but a professional service person did that at my old house and it was amazing. And I have done it since because counter spills running between the stove and counter are gross. And there is no way a paper thin silicone bead on the outside edge of the stove and counter top seam would cause the stove to make a loud pop and then trip a breaker.A few days later someone calls me to come look at it. I thought I was covered at least under parts warranty. Nope! Nothing. $150 for someone to show up and then whatever the parts cost. The fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on this item should be a big red flag. This is the second Samsung appliance to let me down. I bought a Samsung fridge a while back and it was DOA. I ended up with a Whirlpool I hate because I let them haul the old fridge away and then had a fridge full of food spoiling and they offered to deliver the Whirlpool floor model in the next half hour. So 2 for 2 on the Samsungs being crap. And their service is horrible!! Im almost wondering if they are not using prison slave labor. When they call you it is a Compton number they call from. The way their customer service people talk to you and dont care at all prison labor would make sense.

We bought this refrigerator from LOWES in 2016 for just under $2600; we didnt know the icemaker had a problem until after the warranty expired because we didnt live in that house but for a few months of the year just before we retired. But he said Samsung told him they would not replace our refrigerator, they might give us a break on the price of another... What a load of rotten tomatoes!!! I have a Samsung model RF28HDEDBSR/AA, serial #06EC43AFB01664x purchased from Best Buy. It has nothing to do with them though. Samsung is the problem... We just finished paying the darn refrigerator off... THANK GOD I have a service contract with a home warranty company since the ice maker is poorly designed! So far we have had 4 repairs, 2 replacements of the ice maker unit, special sealant added all around the unit and STILL, the ice comes out slushy and the unit leaks water constantly. I contacted Samsung and, much like all the other complaints I have read, I was told how sorry they were, but that since my unit is over their warranty, nothing could be done. She was willing to contact a repair person though everything is on me from there. Again, THANK GOD I have the home warranty...The Samsung representative stated they had no recalls nor were aware of any issues... I wonder if they check sites like this! We LOVE the unit since it is 28 cubic feet of great space. The fatal flaw is the ice-maker and I would tell anyone looking to not buy it unless you dont mind constant pulling of the ice machine unit to remove ice build-up or put up with constant calls for repairs...

I have owned this refrigerator for over 3 years and in that short time had the ice machine completely freeze, the refrigerator stop working and then and the compressor malfunction. I fixed the ice machine by following manufacturer instructions and defrosted completely and it worked. When the refrigerator stopped, I called Samsung and they provided a set of instructions to reboot the refrigerator and it worked for about 10 days and then it stopped chilling appropriately. After calling Samsung again, they sent two different technicians who both said the compressor was broken. After a lot of calls and hassle over the course of 5 weeks, I still dont have it fixed or replaced. They are estimating an additional 2-3 weeks for the replacement under warranty. The service has been opaque, slow, unreliable (never call when they say they will) and overall horrible. I do not recommend buying a Samsung appliance and I never will again.

It is less than 2 years that I purchased the double French door bottom freezer Samsung model # RF260BEAESP refrigerator. The water leakage into the below the crisper drawer area has started to occur. This problem has been mentioned by many other people. Samsung must acknowledge and repair this problem. No one should ever buy any appliances from Samsung. They really have disgraced themselves and their brand name.

We have purchased a Samsung slide-in range double oven ($1842.29), model (NE58F9710WS/AA) (1 year warranty plus 1 year extended warranty), on 8/22/2015. First time, I did use the self cleaning function. First issue: The TCO (=partition part MELTED in the back of the stove). Technician came: diagnosis 4/4/16, fixed 4/11/16 and 4/26/16. I have been told to use steam cleaning function instead of self cleaning option!!! But one of my criteria purchase always has been to buy an oven with self cleaning function which is so opened to work properly and safely. Second time I did use the self cleaning function (5/31/2016), halfway (1 hour 10 min) thru (3 hours in manual) the control panel died, the oven door locked, the range, the stone countertop, the kitchen cabinets, the glass backsplash way too, too hot!!Calling right away 18007267864. The customer service told me to wait at least 8 hours to let the oven cool down. I couldnt believe my ears. Next day, oven door still locked, calling again customer service explaining I didnt trust anymore this product, asking for an exchange or refund, refusing a repair service. Samsung product Review denied my request over a long week fight with agents, supervisors, executive from customer service, I had no other choice than accepting a service repair or keeping an useless range-oven. Technician came (6/9/2016), diagnosis temperature sensor BROKE, got it fixed. Technician witnessed our closest kitchen cabinet from oven have been damaged by the excessive heat!! 2 hazard issues in less in 2 months!! I think it is a huge safety hazard. Now, I am questioning about the safety of my home because of the Samsung cheaply constructed range oven.

Purchased Samsung dishwasher in October 2014. By December it was showing codes. It really took 6 months to get Samsung to send a repair company. Three visits later, the machine finally worked after replacing all master boards, pumps, drains, etc... Samsung was horrible to deal with. The machine again does not work and is showing the same codes; we had to wash all dishes and use the CLR cleaner the repair people gave us to no avail. Samsung will not back their product. The repair company refuses to repair a Samsung product (this is Samsungs registered repair company) and we have an $800 machine that does not work and has not work for more than a couple of months. We are now going to try getting help from the Better Business Bureau. Samsungs customer care is HORRIBLE!
